We purchased a new Cabrio top loading washer in June of 2011 to replace a Maytag Neptune (thinking at the time that wed gone as low as possible). We didnt abuse the machine. In fact, because it had a tempered glass lid (in a plastic frame), we were careful with the lid on the machine. It broke during a wash cycle. Because its heavy, the lid has spring supports on both sides; these are stronger than the plastic frame and over time the frame will break, rendering the machine inoperable. The discounted price for a new lid is over $200, and Maytag (I mean Whirlpool) tells us that it lasted through the 365 day warranty, so the bill is on us. It may be green when it works, but taking 18 month appliances to the landfill is not very green. And others on the web report say that the lid only lasts a year or so. The ratings scale needs to have negative values. Id give this appliance a -5.

I had a 6 year warranty on the new Water heater and about only 4 years into it the tank began leaking. Whirlpool replaced it but of course I was responsible for Parts and labor to replace it. The replacement only lasted just over only 2 years and just outside the total of 6 years from original purchase date on the first. Whirlpool refused to discuss it since it was a few months out of warranty. If someone else has purchased this heater it would have failed at 2 years and they would have had to warranty it anyway. I will never own another Whirlpool appliance because of their substandard products and warranty. I only wish I had reviewed the reviews of others and taken their experiences into consideration and not purchased Whirlpool. I am now out for another heater and reinstallation charges again.

I have a similar problem with my stainless steel Whirlpool bottom freezer refrigerator, model EB9FVHRWS01, purchased in May 2011 from Sears Canada. Exactly a year later, right after the warranty expired, I started getting ice forming on the floor under the bottom freezer. I have been cleaning it out on a weekly basis for the past just over a year. If I dont clean it out, then water seeps out onto the floor. I purchased an extended warranty for my new stove but didnt for my fridge.A co-worker had the exact same problem, with ice forming on the bottom freezer exactly a year later. He purchased the extended warranty and had the Sears repairman come in and replace a $50 part (box in back) ($150 labour). The repairman said this is a manufacturers defect in these fridges and theyve had many such cases. Apparently, the box in the back freezes up and water cant drain to where its supposed to go to be evaporated so it drips to the bottom of the freezer. I contacted Whirlpool and inquired, and they said there was no defect or noted problems with my model. Now Im contemplating whether or not I should spend the $200 and get the defective part replaced. Sigh.

I am an apartment manager. We purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator (Refrigerator FFHT1817LW8) for one of our apartments. When it arrived it was missing a shelf next to the butter dish, also two of the bars that were to go in front of the shelves were the wrong size. This was at the beginning of April, it is now the second week of July and I am still dealing with this issue. The 1st company that was sent out to take care of the problem, A&E appliance, dropped my call so many times I ended up refusing to deal with them anymore. They also sent techs out 2 different times, and both times the wrong parts were ordered. Finally a different company was sent out and they told me that there was nothing that they could do, the shelf did not exist, even though the paperwork that came with the fridge showed a shelf next to the butter dish. Finally Whirlpool offered to order a whole new door but this would take 6 to 8 weeks...I had already been dealing with this issue for over a month. Home Depot stepped up and replaced the fridge; however, when the new fridge arrived it had the exact same issue, no shelf next to the butter dish. That fridge was returned and we ended up getting a completely different model. I canceled the door order with Whirlpool twice! It was supposed to be sent to Home Depot; however, Whirlpool still shipped it to our complex, and to a completely different apartment! It has now been going on 2 weeks almost 3 and the door has not been picked up yet! Despite my repeated calls into the company... I have asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that I couldnt. I have asked to be transferred to and escalated department or complaint department, I was told that I couldnt. There was a phone number I could call to give a compliment to.... LOL!! I would compliment them on their ability to provide the worst service I have ever experienced in my life! I was told a supervisor would be contacting me within 48 business hours, they havent. I have been told that they sent an email in a RED folder to their escalation department and that is all that they can do.... still havent heard anything.... seriously? I have now advised my company to no longer purchase any Whirlpool products... and its funny because we are going to be remodeling all of our units soon and that includes appliances... I have also shared my horror story on Facebook. Maybe as they are going bankrupt they will start to care??? Somehow I doubt it!

I purchase a new Whirlpool Calypso with Catalyst Washing Machine in 2006 after a house fire. Thinking that I was buying a great machine. I was so upset with my house burning that I never thought about the washing destroying my towels, rugs and sweaters until it was too late on the guarantee. I called the company and ask if there were any more complaints about this machine, and of course they said no. I ask if there was a recall and they said no. I told them that there needed to be a recall of this machine. I so want them to see the towels that I have to use. I am so embarrassed of my towels that I have to buy new when company comes. I made no difference on the price that I paid for the towels. They all were destroyed by this Whirlpool Washer. I have had enough, I am buying a new Washer and it will not be a Whirlpool. I believe that the right thing to do is for the Whirlpool company to put a recall on this machine and give our money back. I had a friend that is in charge of another washer company and had him to look at it. He said that if that was his customer complaining about his washer that they would automatically bring the customer another new machine. I wish I had went with his company. Shame on Whirlpool for treating their customers like they have.

I bought a new Whirlpool gas hot water 40 gal tank from Lowes. I Installed it, but the pilot light would not light. So Cal Gas Co came out and said they did not like the new design, but that was how they were now making them. Gas is shot out from a pipe into the tank, however its fairly open. The pilot ignitor is similar to the one on barbarques that often do not last. You cannot get to it to light it manually. Several calls were made to Whirlpool and they sent a repair man out to fix it. You can imagine buying a new hot water heater and having it work part time. The repair man explained that the unit needed a new thermopile, but he could not put one on until whirlpool authorized it, which they would not. After a rather heated conversation with whirlpool they agreed to FedEx a part overnight. Of course the repairman could not wait for me to call and had to come back again. The pilot light still does not stay lit, and Whirlpool now wants to talk about how the tank is vented. This has nothing to do with the pilot light, nor did putting in a new 1/2 gas line and valve as per Whirlpools request. Whirlpool has a problem and they refuse to acknowledge it. However, it is Lowes that chose to buy from whirlpool and they do little if anything to stand behind their product and gain consumer confidence. My suggestion would be dont buy whirlpool, and shop at Home Depot.

Whirlpool Gold French Door refrigerator freezer on bottom - I purchased my refrigerator at Lowe’s on 9/26/12 and it cooled OK for the first 3-4 months but it was very noisy along with water dripping from the ice maker door. Then sometime in Feb. my freezer started to warm so I contacted Lowe’s service and they scheduled Tech. to come the following week. He found that freezer evaporator was freezing - suspected a leak and ordered one. Replaced that, and a short time later it was warm again. To make a long story short they have been to my house approx a dozen times replacing the freezer evaporator, control boards, adding refrigerate, and replace the reversing valve, and no time at all it was warm in the freezer again. Tech could not find anything wrong with it and added a little refrigerate and the problem was solved... I thought! Two months later the freezer was warming again. Now they say it’s the evaporator on the cold food side has a leak and needs replacing. Been waiting two weeks now on parts. Talked with Whirlpool and Lowe’s about replacement with a new unit but they tell me they only cover parts and labor. Needless to say this is my last Whirlpool appliance!!

Bought a model WRT318FZDW02 (top freezer) refrigerator (new) about 3 1/2 years ago and its already failing. The temperature regulation has failed and food in the lower compartment freezes while the temperature in the freezer compartment varies wildly. Unfortunately typical repair costs these days will probably make this a throw away item. Ive owned several different refrigerators over the years and theyve all lasted well beyond 10 years. I definitely cant recommend buying anything from Whirlpool these days.

I am a single parent. So I was very excited when I had saved enough to purchase a new washer and dryer. I purchased Whirlpool because I had been told that was a good brand. From the beginning, I was having issues with the washer (Whirlpool Front Loader model #WFW8300SW04). It wouldnt start or it would not spin, or it would just lock and not be able to get it open. I had purchased a warranty. So I called to have it serviced. The tech came and told me that I needed to have my floor leveled under the washer. I hired someone to concrete under my washer and dryer. Again the washer still did the same thing. I used the warranty again. The second tech told me that I needed to have my electrical outlet changed. I again hired someone to change the outlet. Yet still the machine didnt work. I then hired a tech to come out and was told the mother board needed to be replaced. Had that done. The machine worked for a short time with no issues. But yet again it wont start, or wont spin, or it locks and you cant get it opened. I contacted Whirlpool and their answer to the problem was they would be glad to set up an appointment to send out one of their techs (at my expense). I have hired another tech and being told that the mother board once again needs to be replaced. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool and their service. I dont understand why they won’t stand behind their products. I will (when able) purchase another washer, but it most definitely will NOT be Whirlpool. Anyone else having issues with the same model? Would like to hear.

I purchased an HIE washer one year ago this month. I have never been happy with the cleanliness of the clothes when they came out of the wash. The only way to get them moderately clean is to wash a few items at a time and even then the whites, especially socks, seem dingy. I noticed the new Whirlpool washers now have an extra setting to add more water to the machine, so the executives have realized there is a problem with the original model.I think Whirlpool should give all customers who previously purchased the models without this feature a trade-in option to get the newer model that fills with more water or for another model with the full spindle that has worked well for so many years. I have been very unhappy with the performance of this washer and would only hope the executives would do something to resolve this problem and satisfy previous customers.

I have purchased one refrigerator double door Mastermind 230 Ltr. capacity on 08/02/2009 at a price of Rs17200 from Himanshu Sales at Halol, Panchmahal, Gujarat. After one year, there was a problem in the refrigerator. My complaint was given to Himanshu Sales Halol. A service engineer came and replaced OLR and starting relay. I was charged Rs500. The bill was not given. Again cooling was not achieved. My complaint was given to customer car complain no. 22265 on 26/04/2011. Service engineer came on 10/05/2011 and reported that compressor get overheated. He has replaced compressor, capillary, gas, starting and overload relay and charged Rs1650. But compressor continued on, it does not cut off on temperature. I complained on 22/05/2011. Again service engineer came and replaced thermostat and charged Rs150. On 02/06/2011,again cooling was not proper. I complained on 05/06/2011. Service engineer came and advice to send the refrigerator to service center at Halol at our cost. After one week, it was sent back to me. Still ice not forming in freezer. We thought that it is due to summer. We also informed Himanshu Sales Halol. They advice to give complaint to customer care. Complaint was given on 28/11/2011. On 29/11/2011, a service engineer came and informed us that the compressor overheated. On 06/12/2011, the service engineer came with new compressor. He replaced the compressor, capillary, starting and overload. After gas charging, fridge was started. Still ice was not forming in the freezer and there was abnormal sound coming from compressor. Now we are tired to take service from Whirpool. I think this is a company defected piece, so send some senior authority to check the same and to take necessary action. Also due to this problem, my electricity bill got on higher side, and the purpose of the appliance is not solving. On 12/12/2011 at 11:30, the service engineer came and put some instrument to measure temperature at freeze on super cool mode and told that he and Samir will come to check the same. After that, compressor was in running mode up to 19:30 without cut off on temperature. Nobody has came to check,we called him. He replied that Mr. **, the regional head, will come tomorrow, 13/12/11. Still cooling is not achieved, We have registered complaint under complain no. AH1211007719 dated 13/12/2011.

I purchased the Stainless Steel, side by side with water and ice dispenser, model #WRS325FDAM04 on 11/30/16, paying over $1,600 for the refrigerator. We had trouble from the beginning with the freezer door not closing all the way. When the repairman came out, he said the entire door had to be replaced, as it was warped. Since then, one by one other items are breaking in the freezer and refrigerator. The plastic casings holding the glass shelves have broken on all three shelves in the refrigerator, the wall of the refrigerator and the freezer is cracked in several places, the ice bin has a hole in the bottom, where the device rotating the ice out broke and now when used, ice falls into the freezer, and the bins in the refrigerator have broken as well as some of the door shelves in the refrigerator and freezer.I called Whirlpool before posting a review to provide them an opportunity to at least offer to help in some way. Their response was due to so many pieces missing/damaged they would not be able to help in any way at this time. I purchased a Whirlpool product as I expected I was purchasing a quality product with quality workmanship from a reputable company. I have been sadly disappointed and will no longer support Whirlpool by purchasing any item manufactured by them and will share my experience at every opportunity.

I purchased the machine December of 2010 from Lowes along with the matching dryer. I also purchased an extended warranty. A year ago July the lid on the washer broke at the hinges. I contacted the warranty provider and was told that the repair would not be covered under warranty and the damage was operator error. I purchased a new lid for approx. $250. One year later the replacement lid broke in the same location. I have tried to get a response from Whirlpool no response. I contacted Parts Select and inquired about changes that should have been made to correct the lids. He was not aware of any changes but did advise that the part had a new number which he indicated probably meant a design change. I ordered a new lid just under $250. New machines have a metal frame around the glass instead of the plastic frame which keeps failing. The springs that hold the lid in the upright position are so stiff I can hardly move them by hand. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool quality and consumer support. I will not purchase any more Whirlpool products.

I have had my stove for 3 years and it works fine. However since I have become a grandparent, I have been extremely worried about the chance of being burnt. the problem is once you turn off the burner, it doesnt look any different than it does when not in use. It stays hot for a very long time however. Hot enough to burn or melt anything. There is no blocking a child from reaching up and touching it. I have placed a loaf of bread near it only to have it melt down the side. The burner didnt look hot at all. This was at least 15 min. after turning off the burner. Im not trying to cause issues but I believe this is a real danger, not only at the risk of someone getting a burn but also to the point of an entire family losing their home or even their lives. A simple flammable item being knocked over could start a fire. I ask that someone look into these risk.

Purchased a Whirlpool double oven (WGE745COFH) in September 2018. It is now May 2019. After 5 service technicians verified the erratic temperature fluctuations in the ovens, Whirlpool insists that a +25 degree to -25 degree fluctuation in a heating cycle is normal. The motherboard was changed 3 times, and the sensors were changed 3 times, including hard-wiring the last set of sensors. I called Whirlpool and customer service says that is normal. Ever tried baking at a 350 degree setting that fluctuates from 375 degrees down to 312 degrees while trying to maintain a 350 degree setting? I understand there has to be some fluctuation, but either it took a lot of extra time or burned my food consistently. Ridiculous. So, with the help of wonderful people at Lowes (where I purchased the double oven) Whirlpool is refunding my money and Lowes has taken back the slide-in double oven. In my quest to replace it, multiple appliance sellers have told me that all the new ovens having motherboards and sensors have big fluctuations in the oven heating cycles. I find that unacceptable. My husband and other family members have worked daily in an industry where temperatures were critical. They used ovens that could maintain temperature within 5 degrees of set temperature with analog controls. The home consumers are being ripped off with cheap, sub-standard parts making throw away appliances and getting away with it. What do I buy? Havent figured that out yet, but have purchased a countertop toaster oven that bakes beautifully.

WHIRLPOOLS unacceptable customer service! Less than one year ago, we bought a Whirlpool dishwasher, type ADP 4411 from Khoury Home, Lebanons leading retailer of household products. From the beginning, we were not really happy with the performance of the machine, which we felt was not cleaning as well as it should. But the nightmare for us came when ten months later, we came home to an electricity burning smell and smoke from our Whirlpool dishwasher, which had been off. Thankfully, our electric security system in our new apartment worked very well and shut off, so that our apartment didnt catch fire. It was a shock, but knowing that our machine was still under warranty, we contacted Whirlpool to let them know what happened. The bigger shock came when the company told us that the electric board is burnt probably because of high voltage when the electricity came too strong one time and that we have to pay for a new board $190 because such cases are not covered by the warranty! A Whirlpool manager said because the electricity in Lebanon is unstable, we should have unplugged the dishwasher whenever it was not in use - but its not really logic- the same thing can happen while it is in use (and of course nobody told us about it when it was installed)! We, like other normal people, do not unplug our appliances when they are not in use, and we are using in our kitchen a lot of other electronic appliances without any problems. The fact that Whirlpool is blaming us for a fire that could have had much more dangerous consequences is absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately too late, we have read at the internet a lot of customer comments with these kinds of problems with Whirlpool dishwashers too. At last we got a $20 discount (!!) for the new board but on the service letter they wrote just that it had smell problems. Nothing about burning! A burning dishwasher should be for Whirlpool company a much more serious theme! The way it was handled is NOT a customer service, NOT an international service for a big company like Whirlpool and especially really NOT the customer service of a U.S. company!

Its very Frustrating how each department passes you along and makes promises about what the other department can do, resulting in zero satisfaction. None of them are well informed to say the least.I have a 6-year-old double oven that has a bad board and after 3 days, I find out it is no longer made. I paid $1500.00 six plus years ago and now I get to spend $2000 plus to get a new one. Again, how can you end of life a product after only 6 years?

I have purchased 2 Ikea/Whirlpool ovens in 2011 from Ikea in Canada. I have used the self clean feature on both ovens and both ovens quit completely and the doors stayed locked. This problem is discussed hundreds of times on the internet for Whirlpool, Ikea and Kitchen Aid ovens. Since they are all made by Whirlpool they are all very similar or exactly the same in some cases, as is the problem. I have discussed this with Ikea and they have said they didnt know about the problem but would help to get it fixed to my satisfaction. I have had Whirlpool authorized service repair both ovens but after trying the self clean feature again, same problem.During one of my conversations with an Ikea representative on the phone, she contacted Whirlpool and was told that if the oven was repaired 3 times and deemed by the service technician as unrepairable, Whirlpool would do a buyback. In other words according to Ikea, Whirlpool would take the oven and pay me what I paid for the oven. Well after contacting the authorized service dept (not Whirlpool itself) for the third time, they did some investigation with Whirlpool about the problem. To his and my amazement, Whirlpool has come up with a fix as of October 2013. The technician ordered the new kit and installed it in both ovens. I have since tried the self clean in one oven and this time it worked. For the information of others, Whirlpool has the kit and in it is an instruction sheet with pictures as to how to replace and install all the parts in the kit.I watched the installation, quite a process. From the instruction sheet there is a number on it. Here is the number - w10625529 rev. A 10/13. This is an instruction sheet for Ikea TOD (thermal overload device) service kit. I have looked at many of the service parts diagrams on the internet for many different current models of Ikea, Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid ovens and in most cases almost all the inside parts are the same or very very similar which leads me to the conclusion that this service kit may work in most of these ovens to correct the same problem, but I suggest checking with the appropriate service people before taking my word for it. My observation is that the kit moves the TOD off the top of the metal plate of the oven and onto a new bracket which the tech thought it was to get it further away from heat (this Im not sure of since Im not an expert). He also suggested that this kit may also be designed to allow more air flow around the oven.My only concern after having the self clean feature finally work is the heat produced inside the kitchen cabinet in which the oven is installed. Approximately an hour and a half after turning the self clean on, I felt the side of the cabinet between it and the fridge (open space), and at one area of the wood cabinet I could not hold my hand on the cabinet as it was too very hot. I will be checking the inside of the cabinet for signs of excess heat and if I see any evidence, I will again call the service people. Since the elements were not on when I checked this, I assume the self clean had finished the heat cycle and was in the process of cooling down. When I test the other oven, I will make sure the elements are still on as I can see them thru the glass door. When I checked the temperature of the outside wood cabinet using a laser thermometer, the outside wood registered 64 degrees C or 142 F approximately. Not sure what the inside temperature was as the oven was still in place. Hopefully I will not get a higher reading when the self clean is at its maximum temperature in the cleaning cycle. Will the oven create any problems in the future for the cabinet, I hope not but time will tell. For clarification, the cabinets were built by a kitchen cabinet company using the instruction sheet that came with the ovens. I hope some of this will be of help to some of the hundreds of people who have posted this very same problem on the internet. When you have paid for an appliance you wanted because of the features it came with, it should provide you with what you paid for and not constantly break down. Im lucky as they came with a 5-year warranty so it hasnt cost me anything yet and hopefully wont in the future. Good luck to all in getting this resolved for all of you.

Bought a Whirlpool french door fridge in July of 2019, The icemaker began pouring water out of it and the temperature of the fridge would not go below 50 degrees. Contacted Whirlpool and the technician says it will be over $800 in parts plus service to repair. Now I must go 24 days without a fridge in the middle of summer until they can get the parts. How does a 10 month old fridge need all of the parts replaced except the condenser in that short of time? Whirlpool should be held accountable for manufacturing the defective fridge and leaving their customers stranded.

Whirlpool Model WDT920SADM0 Dishwasher. We built a new modular home so Abraham Builders ordered all my kitchen appliances in 2014. We did not move in and start using the appliances until June, 2016. Here is what happened during the first 6 months: 1) Would not dissolve dry soap or packets as there were still particles and plastic in the dispenser. 2) Dishes were not getting clean and were spotty. 3) Would not dry dishes, ever!!! 4) Parts would keep popping off as we would find them on the bottom or hanging down. 5) Final straw was this morning around 4 a.m. (12/4/16)... woke up to the smell of wire burning in the house and discovered it was coming from the dishwasher that we had put on delay wash that night and when we opened the door, smoke came out from inside!!Since it was past purchase warranty date, we had no warranty and the builder would not return any of my calls on any problems and the manufacturer of my house closed the factory. Needless to say, we now have to spend another $900+ for another dishwasher! Not happy at all about this Whirlpool model and would not recommend it.

Its awful! We paid over $600 for our Whirlpool Gold Series convection/microwave clean release oven (model GMH 6185XVQ1). It worked fine for 12.5 months at which time it started clicking and, after a final zapping sound, would not heat anything at all. I called Customer Service, Oh, so sorry, its past its one year warranty. I was finally transferred to Escalations then to the supervisor of the Escalation specialist. Finally, we negotiated that I would pay for the service call ($129) and they would pay for parts (which were around $300 for a fried magnetron, diode, and something else). That repair was 6 months ago. Today while heating a glass of water in our microwave, I heard the familiar zap and no matter what, the microwave will not heat anything. I called Customer Service again, figuring the newer parts were still under warranty. Wrong. The newer parts were only covered for 90 days. This time, they tried to sell me a service plus package. For only $289, they will re-warranty my microwave for 1 year after they come out and fix it again (cost on me). My other option is to pay $129 again for another service call plus any parts (which Im sure will be about the same as last time. I will never buy Whirlpool again! Buyer beware!

Regarding a Whirlpool Refrigerator (model ET8CHMXKQ04) purchased in 05. I dont remember exactly when the problem began but the freezer starts its defrost cycle, water drips down through the refrigerator compartment (soaking all paper/cardboard covered products), collects under the crisper trays and eventually spills out onto the floor. Its a river of water that requires a towel to collect.I believe whats missing is some sort of collection funnel and tube that catches this dripping water and delivers it to the evaporation tray behind the base cover plate under the refrigerator. Obviously, Whirlpool has no quality control nor does it do any field tests to ensure their products are designed and operate properly.

I purchased a Whirlpool CABRIO H2Low top load washing machine approximately 12-15 months ago from Lowes in Columbus, GA. I have been very dissatisfied with it from the beginning. I contacted Lowes and discussed the machine and expressed my complaints. I realize that it has a sensor and fills the machine with the amount of water according to the weight of the clothes but have found that regardless of what cycle I place the machine in, it doesnt place over 2 inches of water in the machine. It does not clean the linens, under garments or any type clothes. In fact, it has ruined my designer clothes. It is impossible to get the wrinkles out with an iron. Im very disappointed in the service we have received with this washer.

I purchased this Whirlpool, model YGY397LXUQ04, electric range in midsummer 2011 and used it very infrequently for approximately 5 months as we were away for 6 months during the winter. On approximately June 15, 2012, we found that the keypad would only register 350 deg. F for the oven if we pushed the bake button two times and the oven temperature would go up to 550 deg; F if we pushed the 7 button 3 times. In discussion with the service manager from Whirlpool, he advised that the stove was out of warranty and they would supply parts at no cost but we would have to pay the labor costs which in my estimation would cost over $200. After searching the internet for similar problems, it was evident that this problem was not uncommon. I am concerned about the quality of this product and if it can possibly be a fire hazard. I would not recommend this product as the quality, possible safety issues and reliability are a significant concern.

My Cabrio was built in April 2016, its now Feb 2019, and its not working. Shows error code of LF, the inlet water value is bad. I bought a Sears protection plan, repairman comes out, tells me no-one has the part anywhere, its backordered and no way to know when it will deliver. Sounds like a scam so Sears doesnt have to fix it and Whirlpool makes little to none of the part so you have to buy a new machine. This machine also takes forever to wash clothes, sometimes part of the clothes come out dry because not enough water. Its a huge tub, but of no use because theres not enough water to clean properly therefore, you have to do small loads. I always put it on high water because the other features like, quick wash & normal do not give but only little streams of water! The first one I had delivered made a funny noise from day one so Sears replaced it the next day. This one has NOT even lasted 3 yrs. There needs to be new legislation placed upon these companies with regards to the products they make. It should be illegal to make such junk and be able to charge high dollar for it and it doesnt operate well or last very long. They are laughing all the way to the bank on everyones dollar, intentionally making products that last less than a few years! I Will NOT purchase Whirlpool or any of their products again! They owe me a new Cabrio and Im going to make sure I get it and get my moneys worth! DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS JUNKER! DONT BE FOOLED BY ITS PRETTY SLEEK LOOK.

We have a 2008 Whirlpool gas range that has worked reasonably well but lately more and more of the electronic push switches on the keypad have stopped functioning. So now I cant set an oven temperature as only a few of the 10 number switches still work. I talked to an appliance repair guy who said that the typical electronic keypads are notorious for burning out after 3-5 years because of heat transfer from the oven. So now Im stuck with an oven that is virtually unusable and a $400-500 cost to replace the keypad control. Is it worth replacing? Can the faulty control buttons be somehow fixed? Shouldnt Whirlpool acknowledge the faulty design and provide a free (and hopefully better) keypad? There must be thousands of people out there with similar circumstances. What about a class action suit? Any advice/opinions out there?

I will never purchase from Whirlpool again. After 3 years of use in a 2 - person (adult) household, my Whirlpool Duet (WFW94HEXW2) washer suddenly stopped working with an F6 E2 error code. I unplugged / plugged in the machine, took off the top & checked connections, and let it sit overnight. I could not get it working. Speaking to a local repair technician via phone, he indicated it is likely the control board. Whirlpool changed that part from part number W10406632 to part number W10427967. Before spending the money on a service call, he suggested I contact Whirlpool to see if it is under recall. I contacted Whirlpools customer service. They told me the washer is not under recall but I may qualify to purchase their Repair + 1 service. When I expressed frustration at spending so much on a product that lasted only 3 years I was told This is not a known quality issue or recall. I will document a complaint for you. The chat session was then terminated by the customer service representative. We will spend over $300 to replace the part that Whirlpool obviously knows is flawed. However, I will not pay for an additional Whirlpool repair service to fix something that should not have broke in the first place. And Whirlpool (including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn - Air, etc.) will never get our business again.

Worst purchase I have ever made. When I purchased this Cabrio washer in 2015, I didnt find bad reviews but how I wish I had. This washer does not clean clothes well. It has caused holes in clothing and towels. Often all the load wont even be damp even if using the deep water feature. The wash loads rarely fill more than couple of inches. Clothes come out twisted and terribly wrinkled. Sheets and blankets will be half dry and unclean. TERRIBLE APPLIANCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Now I am stuck with a high priced washer I wouldnt even feel good about giving away. WONT FILL. RUINS CLOTHES. TANGLES LOADS. DOESNT CLEAN. DOESNT RINSE PROPERLY. DO NOT BUY!

Updated on 04/15/2019: Called customer care about my ice maker which have went out for the second time less than two years and the 1st replacement have only been 9 months from today. Unfortunately they tell me it’s out of the one year warranty process and they can’t help me. Well look like the 2nd replacement should have been under warranty still. Their products are a piece of crap and they know it and don’t care because theyre making money off of the consumers. Be aware and advise you to stay away from Whirlpool appliances. They don’t stand behind their brand. There’s no way anyone should have to be making repairs on a new 2000 and sum refrigerator. My old one is 18 yrs old and still working fine no problems, better than this piece of crap. Warning to consumers. Don’t waste your time and especially your money. Didn’t want to give no stars but you have to give at least 1.Original Review: Purchased refrigerator In July of 2017 and had to have ice maker replaced less than a year of having it. Now again ice maker not working again and only been about 9 months from the last replacement. I think there should be a Lemon law on these products. These refrigerator are not cheap and if I buy something new and spend a good amount of money for, I don’t want any headache and worries. That’s the reason for getting a new one.

Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher - I wish I had discovered this website BEFORE I bought this piece of trash last year to replace our antique Maytag that ran like a champ for 10 years. But after 10 year the gaskets wore out and it started leaking. Even at ten years old that Maytag cleaned and dried better than this brand new Whirlpool. My complaints are the same as everybody else here. Doesnt clean even slightly soiled dishes and then it doesnt dry any of the silverware, or plastic pieces like measuring cups and tupperware. All are totally wet and need to be hand dried. So, why am I cleaning the dishes beforehand and drying them after??? The only good thing I can say about this unit, is that it is quiet. But, as my husband said, so is a brick, and a brick would be just about as good at washing and drying our dishes. Buyers Beware!!! This is a terrible product. Turned me against Whirlpool appliances forever.

Approximately 2 years after purchasing a Whirlpool Gold Bottom Freezer refrigerator, I noticed cracks/openings on the interior walls on the ledge that holds the glass shelf! It is completely Crushing the styrofoam inside the refrig? Also, signs of being Cheaply made veggie bins are held in place by a piece of plastic that cracked after a few months. This was in 2011. First, I contacted the service contract people. They told me this was not covered under the policy. Next, I wrote & called the company. The walls show the styrofoam stuffing in the refrig. The shelves rest on these openings in the vinyl walls of the refrig box. This is a disaster and the refrig was 1400$$$. I have extended warranty which does not cover structure!!! We purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio) about two months ago and we have been extremely dissatisfied with its performance. Quite simply, it does not get clothes or anything else clean! I have tried every possible setting and still the dirt remains on anything that is even slightly soiled. So, I cant believe that things that dont look dirty are getting cleaned either. They probably arent even getting rinsed, even with the extra rinse option. It seems almost nobody likes this machine, so why is Whirlpool risking their formerly sterling company reputation by keeping it on the market? The trim on the front the my Whirlpool electric range has rubbed off. This is where the knobs for the burners are located. It was replaced once during the Whirlpool 1 year warranty (so it obviously happened with the first year!) and again during the second year we have had it. We have an extended warranty but have been told that it is not covered. It is ecstatically unacceptable. I am very unhappy with this Whirlpool refrigerator model# GX5FHDXVQ 04. I bought this model in October 2011. You have to push the left door to close it and if you dont then the fridge will stay open. I had a Whirlpool tech come to fix this door problem so this is what he told me: 1) You have to push the door in order to close it properly; 2) Before closing the left door, I should first open the right door (losing energy); 3) The gasket will break very fast; 4) Buy a three-year protection plan because you will have to use it; 5) The freezer is very uncomfortable. In the bottom drawer, you have to fit your stuff. If you put your freezer stuff in a drop higher, then you cant close the drawer, so I am losing space; 6) Sometimes when I fill up the fridge, I move the temperature to #5. After a day, the top shelf back stuff will freeze and the front stuff will stay on fridge temperature. Yesterday, 4-18-2012, for the second time, the freezer gets a sheet of ice. Repairman will repair it but who knows. This fridge looks to me like a lemon. The height is 70 but listed as. I rate this fridge with a CCC.

We purchased a Cabrio washer in August 2013, in early August 2014 we noticed that it was not getting all of the detergent out of the clothes (noticed it on the dark clothes after drying). We just had a Sears service man out at a $100 cost only to find out that he gets these calls all of the time and the machine is operating at the factory settings. After reporting the problem to Whirlpool all I got was we are sorry and a link to how to operate the washer. In the demonstration video it clearly shows that the water level never covers the clothes. I know Im old school but in my opinion the water should cover the clothes so it can properly wet and agitate the items in the washer. To say I am less than satisfied is a gross understatement. Im out the cost of the washer plus an additional $100 and after a year of ownership and contacting Whirlpool less than a week after the factory warranty ran out all I get is an Im sorry you do not know how to operate a washer.

After going through the troubleshooting steps we could not clearly define the problem. So they ordered me the parts and sent them to me. The parts were for the old model control unit and does not mate up with the wiring that is in the unit. The representative was put back in that they had no idea how that happened. And, no wrench came with the thermostat just another thing to spend money on. I told them I have had it. Then they say that this is a manufacturers defect and they can provide me with a list of repair technicians in the area. I gave them one star because I could not give them zero. I replaced a 15 -year-old propane water heater with an electric on 02/01/14, due to the high propane prices, $6 a gallon, and because I felt the heater should be replaced. After installing the electric water heater I filled with water purged all the air out, powered it up, went thru diagnostics and heated water to 120. After an hour I turned on the hot water at the kitchen faucet, hot water was there but not for long, water got cold,.I troubleshot the problem back to the anti-scald valve installed 15 years ago when I had a professional install the first tank. By placing my hand on the hot water line coming out of the tank, I found the water was indeed hot before the anti-scald valve, after the valve the water was cold indicating to me the valve was not functioning properly. I went to Lowes bought the parts to bypass and removed the valve, went home and in another hour had the problem solved! I wondered why I had to turn the temp upon the old heater to get hot water! I am very happy with my electric water heater, not only did Lowes have the last one in stock, it was on sale $100 off regular price, it is a digital controller type with water temperature setting on the front. I checked the temp at the water faucet in the kitchen. I had it set to 120, the water temp out was 119.8 on my digital thermometer. Water was too hot so I lowered it to 110, perfect temp for a hot shower. Even if the thing uses more electric than it should I still save because the fact of propane is so high I couldnt see spending $600 for 28 days of propane, versus $400 on a new electric water heater. I would rather pay a higher electric bill than feel I am getting ripped off with the propane dealers! Also there is absolutely no residual heat loss. This is well insulated even comes with pipe insulation!

We have the Cabrio model and are thoroughly pleased with the performance. My only issue is the amount of sounds during the spin cycle. Otherwise, the machine is quiet. I like having the automatic dispensers for soap, bleach and fabric softener. Not having the classic tub makes loading a little different as the clothes need to be distributed around the side of the tub and avoid the center.

From the very beginning the washing machine did not clean the load. It doesnt even get the load completely wet. The best you can hope for is to utilize lots of fabric softeners to at the least make your clothes smell clean because they surely wont be. Dont even get me started on the load lock feature because it serves no purpose other than to drive you batty. When your 15 year old son offers to give you money to buy a new washer after owning the one you just bought there is nothing I could say more profound than that. How Whirlpool stays in business befuddles the mind.

Compared to others it gets the dishes clean and is easy enough to operate. Like everything else it has more bells and whistles than I want or use. Fill it up, put soap in and punch the desired settings and it does what it is programmed to do. Overall size seems to be like all the other models Ive used. Stainless with buttons on top of door. The top basket/drawer has latches that get tripped allowing the basket to drop down and confusing my wife. Not the best arrangement IMHO. Seems like the spacing of the supports in the bottom basket are off, but that may be due to our plates and bowls shapes.

I feel the Whirlpool washer we have Works amazing. Its an older model and Im still happy with it. It does big loads without having to do it over again or on balancing itself. I have actually had a Samsung washer and we constantly had issues with it - sensor problems and was not very user-friendly at times. I also feel that a lot of the newer washers out there are cheaply made plastic parts and can break easily. Too many companies cutting Corners these days.

We bought a Whirlpool cook stove with a black top in 2009 and this year, in 2011, while cooking a pot of stew, the stove top burner began to make loud popping sounds. When I went to check it out, there was smoke coming out from under the pan and pieces of glass that had exploded out in small chunks. When calling the customer service line at Whirlpool, they told us that it was no longer under warranty and could not be of help. Their only explanation was that they would only cover a new stove top if it had cracked or broken this way when putting a cold pot on a hot burner. They said their technician could tell if this was why the shards of glass were exploded from the burner.

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio 4 years ago. It worked fine until last October when I had to call a Repair Service as all the Digital Controls would not work. It was the Digital Board had to be replaced at a cost of $ 315.00. That was October 2016 and in October of this year 2017 it started doing the same thing again. I call the Repair Service and they told me not to waste any more money on this machine as it is a piece of junk. I guess he was right as when I read all the bad reviews it got today, I realize I will be better off to buy another machine. It will not be a Whirlpool product. I purchased a Sears Kenmore Washer & Dryer back in 1995 and the washer lasted 20 years and I still have the dryer. This is what you refer to as a good product.

I purchased it new in July 2008 for $550, a single homeowner average 4-5 loads a week. First time it broke down, it was just inside the one-year limited warranty. It broke down again Sept. 2011, the basket separated from spinning mechanism. I learned that after $75+ missing day of work, repair tech quoted cost of repair $885 and a minimum of 10 days waiting for part to arrive.I called Whirlpool, the guy on the phone was nice but told me I was out of luck. Even if I had purchased the 3-year warranty, I would still be out of luck. The washer was manufactured in April 2008. What a piece of junk. Save your money and skip it. I wish I had. Aside: Whirlpool, whatever happened to standing behind your products? I used to think you were a quality brand. Im extremely disappointed and wont be purchasing any of your products in the future.

If I could give Whirlpool products and their customer service zero stars, I would! We built our beautiful home that was complete in June 2015. Our builder was installing Whirlpool products in the homes he was building at the time. So we decided to accept the microwave, dishwasher and drop in gas range that he offered. We had never had Whirlpool kitchen appliances and no reason to respectfully decline the brand. We bought a french door Whirlpool refrigerator as well so the handles would match our open concept kitchen. In addition to the poor quality overall, the microwave makes a terrible buzzing noise that has been fixed two times thus far. The refrigerator is so loud at times that its difficult to hear the television when sitting in the living room. The dishwasher does not dry the dishes on any setting to include heat dry hours and hours after the cycle is complete. This forces us to hand dry our dishes prior to putting them in the cupboard. The cast-iron grates on the drop in range already look terrible because the enamel is coming off. I clean all the appliances as recommended by Whirlpool and like to keep our home beautiful because it is our place of solace and comfort. As stated prior, our kitchen and living room are open concept so I now have to contend with an eyesore in the middle of our homes hub because Whirlpool considers this manufacturing flaw as cosmetic and wont cover it under warranty. To add insult to injury, these poor quality products are the higher end available from Whirlpool. We plan to wait for the year end warranty to expire and replace the four appliances with a brand that has always offered excellent customer service and has been very reliable and trustworthy for us. As a consumer, I would save yourselves the agony of purchasing any Whirlpool appliances!!!

We purchased the washing machine on February 2, 2013 and initially noticed that some of the clothes were still dry when the complete load was over. Meaning that I am not saving water cost because I then have to rewash the clothes and pre-scrub the clothes. Then a little over a year later, the machine is making this extremely loud piercing noise when spinning. The cost to replace the part is $250.00+ the repairmans fee. Whirlpool says there is nothing they will do. From reading the other reviews, this is really sad because of the numerous people having the same issueS with a capital S. I definitely would support a class action suit.

Whirlpool under-counter dishwasher (model DU1345XTVB0) was purchased 14 months ago. Upper rack plastic adjustable wheel rack is broken. Will not replace. Dishwasher has probable design flaw with wheel positions causing overhanging load to put extreme stress on outer two wheels. The design was done to save money instead of having telescoping rails as most dishwashers do. Explained this. They will not even send a part. Many other Whirlpool dishwashers use these parts. After only 6 months of use, the cooktop light bulb burned out. When I tried to replace it, the glass part of the bulb separated from the base. The bulb is screwed in so that the base faces away from the front of the microwave. With the small cavity and the backward installation, it will be impossible to remove. Its amazing to me that every other complaint listed here is identical to the problems I have had with my Duet washer. In the past 4 years, I have had two Duet washers and now, the 2nd one has to be replaced. On the first, the control board blew and it was too expensive to consider replacing. I had a new Duet later that day (I use a great, small local appliance store that is reliable and has a great reputation so I know Im not being screwed over). This one made it for 3 years before the bearing broke. It sounds like its about to launch into orbit. I can either continue to use it until it stops working (likely very soon) or just replace it now as its too expensive to repair. I cant take a chance on it breaking down, so...Thats a good gig Whirlpool has, huh? Repairs are prohibitively expensive so they sell more machines. Whirlpool appliances used to be among the most reliable and well-made. Not any more. Two Duet washers in 4 years in my honest opinion is ludicrous. When it did work, it seemed to do the job and I have to admit to very, very heavy use (3-5 loads/day). But the days of a washer lasting 20-30 years are long over.

I had to pay $75 for American Home Shield to diagnose this and now I am waiting for them to order the replacement part - the part is around $190 from Sears or 245 from Partselect.com. What a pain. PLUS, the machine is so noisy and starts to vibrate loudly toward the end of the cycle.

Perhaps I am fortunate, but when I read complaints regarding products on the Consumer Affairs site, it makes me wonder because I never have any problems whatsoever with anything I buy. The only time was with a cheap $20 dvd player which lasted just a year. I was given a 10 year old whirlpool fridge 7 years ago. It still works great. Very cold freezer and great features such as frost free freezer. Also Whirlpool Estate budget line dishwasher, washer and dryer ten years ago. No problems! Why do people spend thousands on refrigerators, washers, dryers, and dishwashers? Just buy the basics. It is not important to buy french door refrigerators, dishwashers with stainless-steel interiors, washers/dryers on pedestals and the like. You are only impressing shallow people. All in all, I will always purchase no-frills Whirlpool appliances. They are the best! And you can be like me and have no credit card bills and plenty of money in the bank with the result of low stress.

After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet washing machine WFW9400SU1 requires repairs costing over $1100. Similar to another complaint listed, some parts rusted out, leading to extensive damage during use, which we realized only after the spin cycle became incredibly loud. Now the entire gut of the machine (bearing, drum, arm, casing, etc.) needs to be replaced - $900 parts and $200 labor. I trust my repairman (who said theyd seen this type of problem before with Whirlpool) especially because he recommended buying a new machine instead. I called Whirlpool, and they said they could do nothing for me which made me very angry. This is a mechanical problem that could have been avoided by using proper materials. Whatever happened to the washing machines that would last 15-20 years?

When we bought our side by side fridge (model GD5RVAXVB02), the manual said to clean the condenser coils if you have excess dust and/or pet hair. We have both. We tried with the vacuum and with a brush but it is impossible to get to the coils because they run side to side instead of front to back. You can only get to the first coil in front. The rest cant be accessed from the front, sides or back. I called to find out how Whirlpool recommended they be cleaned and they could only recommend a vacuum attachment tool (8171579A) to clean the floor below the coils or a coil brush (4210463RW) that cant reach the coils! This design is meant to fail prematurely. They could have easily installed the coils running front to back so they could all be easily cleaned.

Do NOT buy this washing machine. It looks nice but that is all. My elderly parents bought this washing machine based on the past experiences with Whirlpool but the quality of the product has changed. This machine constantly errors and does not allow them to wash clothes. I have followed the instructions in the manual to try and clear the errors. I ended up calling Whirlpool and the response I got was... It will be anywhere from $80 to $125 for someone to come out and look at it. This is a product which should not stop working after 2 years. Absolutely read the reviews on this machine before deciding on a purchase. I have experienced with great frustration every issue addressed in other reviews. Clothes constantly have to be rewashed. The Quick cycle will leave your clothes in a puddle of water. But then there is no spin only cycle to correct that. I have purchased Whirlpool washers before with great satisfaction but this machine is not worth the money I paid for it and does not save me on water or electricity costs because of all the rewashing I have to do. We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 yea
We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 years ago, and had nothing but trouble out of it. The drum has had to be replaced twice, the motor once, and then supposedly a bolt kept coming off on the drum as well, that had to be tightened twice. Now, we dont know what is wrong with it - we suspect suspension imbalance or something, because this extra large capacity washer is constantly unbalanced even with 6 articles of fabric in it now, and I dont even think about putting even what would be considered a medium-large load in it, because it flat up will not wash. You can put a level on it, and it shows leveled, but it still wont operate worth anything. My wife is so put out by it at this point that she has even talked about getting an old ringer washer (seriously). Sears keeps coming out here because we had purchased the extended warranty and truly if they had simply replaced the washer after the 2nd trip to the house, they would have more than paid for the replacement washer even. Instead, they keep coming, looking at it, then having to order parts, and then come back a couple weeks later to put the shipped parts (which sit around our house), back in to repair it each time. All the while, we go without a washer or barely can wash any clothes. We have even taken clothes to the laundromat during one of the repair instances, because we cant just have mounds of clothes piled up for their month-long service. It is ridiculous how little it seems that Sears and Whirlpool care about their customers. I have gone to Whirlpool and Sears Home Services sites and complained at both. I have called both of their 800 lines in the past and again, this yielded nothing to truly depict either company cares. It just goes to prove that customer satisfaction is far less valuable to either of these companies than the bottom dollar profits in our opinion. I dont know where else to post our concerns/frustrations, so anyone can see how put out these two companies have caused us and dont care, but if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post blogged concerns, please let me know.I have complained previously about a dishwasher that we had purchased that we had numerous issues with. Those complaints fell on deaf ears to Whirlpool and really Sears as well. I dont think all the washers are duds, but this one has been nothing but trouble, and Sears wont just replace it, Whirlpool dont care. I have been given the runaround that it is because there arent three (3) service calls in a 12-month period for the exact same issue. Well, I am sorry that it doesnt appear to be just one thing! I have had it with these services calls, parts having to be ordered, only to hit the crazy repeat button again every time! This is far from good customer service, in my opinion, but rather a way to ensure the most profit is achieved! Thanks.Sears and Whirlpool have the worst customer service ever!

Aqualift self clean oven??? I followed the directions on how to clean my oven. I wiped and scraped out spilled residue from the oven. Then started the cleaning process. I had to continually scrub and scrape to get it looking half clean and even then, there were still spots that would not clean away. In January 2011, we bought several appliances and a refrigerator was one of them. The model number is G15VAXVQ01 which is a side by side, French Door Ref with water and ice on outside. We have had problems with the very cheap plastic drawers that are at the bottom of the refrigerator to hold vegetables and meat. We have to be extremely careful so they will not break when opening the drawers. As of late, the fruit and vegetables have been freezing. I went to change the temperature on the outside gauge and dropped the control to 33 degrees and it stuck there. I tried to unplug the refrigerator to reboot the system, to no avail. The temperature is stuck at 33 degrees which will freeze most of our food in a few hours. The freezer side temperature gauge does work.We also have problems with the ice/water machine. I pushed the water button a week ago and from then on, I couldnt get the ice to come on. I did unplug the refrigerator to reboot and then I was able to switch over to the ice, but I could not get back to the water side. Also, there is no crusher on this machine so the ice comes out in chunks. If we had to do over again, we would not buy a Whirlpool as it appears that they are not interested anymore in quality products and consider cheap junk something to be desired. Not by us! We will get this albatross fixed and see about getting rid of it. It is a buyer beware market so I suggest others beware of Whirlpool products.

NU40T61-403 have had problems since day one. First problem was while heating up would make loud humming noise. Whirlpool sent out plumber. He adjusted plate under tank. That worked for about 2 months. Then pilot started going out. They send same plumber out again, also sent replacement part. Problem was fixed however about 2 months after that started leaking and flooding our garage. Called company again, was told that is no longer under warranty and stated we need a thermal expansion tank. I stated “why would we need this? This unit is only a little over a year old. Im not going to purchase another tank. A water heater should not overheat like this.” Long story short my husband has been burnt severely from the pressure build up as he was out in our garage walking past the tank when it decided to release pressure even though no water was being used at that time. He ended up at the ER with 2nd-3rd degree burns. I called Whirlpool again and was only told we need to install the expansion tank. I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio a few months ago. Every time we do a load of laundry, the clothes are not getting cleaned. Dark colored clothing, including grey clothing, comes out of the washer with white residue, streaked all over the clothes. We have to rub the residue into the clothes to make it go away. If we attempt to dry it and do not get the residue scrubbed off the fabric, when the clothes get dried, there are white streaks in the clothes. This is extremely frustrating. We spend a lot of time getting the residue rubbed into the fabric every time we do a load of laundry. The local appliance store has told us that perhaps we are using too much soap. We have used nothing but the high efficiency soap, as recommended by Whirlpool, and have reduced the amount of soap per their suggestion. It is now to the point where we are using hardly any soap at all, in the hopes that we would not have to spend 30 minutes working on the clothes after every load. That has not worked. The white residue is still all over the clothes, and since we are using less soap, I dont think our clothes are actually getting cleaned. When we wash a load of whites, they arent getting cleaned at all, even when we use bleach. In fact, when I compare brand new undergarments with recently bought undergarments that have been washed a few times, the ones that have been washed a few times are noticeably different in color, they are actually starting to turn grey in color.I have used Affresh in the washing machine, per the manufacturers suggestion, numerous times. We had thought maybe that was the problem. But even the load right after the Affresh treatment leaves the white residue or does not get the clothes cleaned. This washing machine was close to $700.00, and I feel that for that amount of money, I should be able to expect clean clothes. I have never had a problem with a Whirlpool product before, so I had no qualms about purchasing this washing machine. At first, I thought maybe it just needed to get broken in, that it would stop leaving the residue after it had been used a few times. However, that has not been the case. I have tried everything I can think of to improve the performance of this washing machine, but nothing helps. When I contacted the local appliance store to complain, they suggested I cut back on the soap. I told them that I had tried that and it didnt work. They told me to use Affresh, I told them I did that. I asked them if they would take the washing machine back; let me trade it in for something else. I would even be willing to get a cheaper washing machine, I just wanted something that worked. They told me they couldnt do that. Even though I was still under warranty, unless it was broke, they couldnt do anything, and even then, all they could do would be to try to fix it. They couldnt take it back and give me a different washing machine. The experience I have had with this washing machine is the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. I had always thought of Whirlpool as a trusted brand for appliances, but if this washing machine is any indication of how they now makes appliances, I will never buy another one of their shoddy products again; and you can guarantee I will be telling my friends, family, and coworkers not to buy Whirlpool products either.

Needed a washer right away and have had Whirlpool before. Simple & easy to use. Not confusing to the average person or teenager for that matter. Reliability from Whirlpool is excellent. I have had many products from them and have enjoyed them all. They have been quite reliable over the last 9 years. They are out of date but they work. Not a lot of bells and whistles but still nice. They are both full size and have enough options for me. I am still happy with the pair and would purchase again if needed in the future. Price was good at the time as I cannot see spending $1K on them. Not always the more expensive is a good idea either.

I bought a counter-depth French door refrigerator for our new build. I had to wait 6 months for delivery since it was on backorder. When it arrived a door was bent. Lowes replaced it with a door that had a leaky ice maker. Ice and puddles of water intermittently appear on our new wood floor. Whirlpools technician told us WE would be charged if they couldnt find the problem. Whirlpool rep confirmed. Also the manufacturer warranty began at purchase date instead of delivery date.

Whirlpool Water Heater Purchased at Lowes - Like all the others I see on here. I Purchased a Whirlpool water heater at Lowes Model# BFG1H4040T3NOV. Pilot will not stay lit; customer service tells me to replace the thermocouple which did not solve my problem. This is the second time in 2 years same problem. First time it was fixed under warranty but now since it was replaced once it is not eligible for replacement so I now must decide if I want to pay someone to figure out the problem and I must pay to repair it or what I am starting to think is that I will likely junk it and buy a quality unit and be done with the games and run around and just have hot water, which is all I really want. I will never buy another Whirlpool product in my life and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

My double oven is only 6 years old - it stopped working on xmas day, had a repair man look at it. He has phoned Whirlpool and has not had his calls returned to buy the part needed. Why is this. I need my oven, why is Whirlpool making it so hard for me to have it repaired.
