We bought a new Whirlpool just 3 years ago. The first year under warranty, we made several calls for repairs on the water and ice dispenser. The water was never cold and never fixed. Just after the warranty expired, the water stopped dispensing completely and now the ice will not dispense. We bought this refrigerator to have cold water and ice at ease, but it never happened.

Bought wtw4800 washer brand new came with 1 yr. warranty. 19 months after buying plastic bearings went. 2 different technicians told me could not be repaired, junk. Washing machine less than 2 years old and can’t be repaired. Called Whirlpool. Told me they could do nothing to help me.

I have a front load Whirlpool Washer and it has leaked within 6 months of having it. The rubber piece was replaced and it still leaked. Whirlpool wont take responsibility for its product. I have to put towels down around the washer every time I use it because it leaks. I purchased this because it is more economical to use a front load but not when water is leaking from the washer.

Bought a Whirlpool 25 cu ft side by side in 2011 and now just 4 years later the compressor is bad. Called them and they only have a 1 year warranty, which is nothing for a compressor. They told me for $350 they could replace it and it be good for only a year. Not going to sink more money into a product even the company has no confidence in. The repairman advised to stay away from Whirlpool as they were not the company they used to be. Also the salesman at Lowes where it came from said they used to have a 5 year warranty but changed several years ago and the quality also went down. We have had refrigerators last 25 to 30 years in the past but no more thanks to modern technology. Thanks a lot. STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

I always appreciated Whirlpool’s quality, but this brand new stove in my brand new home is a disappointment. The top, back (control panel) gets extremely hot when the oven is in use. The burners are not as easy to regulate, and the broiler (which is under the stove, a negative for me) didn’t come with a broiler pan. That was an additional cost. I had service out in the first 60 days because the oven wasn’t heating properly.

We purchased a Whirlpool conquest from Lowes in 2009 and purchased a Lowes warranty. About 2 years ago we started seeing hairline cracks on most of the drawers and shelves. I complained about it last year and a lady from the Facebook page did offer 50% off new ones. Since then we have not been able to afford to get any, and today we lost our last shelf. If I wouldnt have checked it, it would have broke along with anything on the shelf. I have never seen such horrible parts. We have another small very old fridge that has help up better than this. At this point I will never buy another Whirlpool.

My Whirlpool Dishwasher Model# DU980QPDP, just quit a few days ago after 21 1/2 years. We paid $554.04 for it back in 1995. It was the top of the line. Quiet, with 4 fold down shelves on the top rack. Silverware basket on the door. Also a separate knife basket on the door. It came with extra interchangeable door panels. When the white ones got dented we changed to the black ones. The racks are still in good condition. Never had one repair on this dishwasher, though I used it every day, sometimes twice a day. It had a 4 year warranty on the control panel and a 20 year warranty on the tub and door. We would have it repaired, but cant get the part.

They sold me a washer that did not work. First load failed and the machine locked closed. Error E1 F9. Took 7 days for technicians to open the machine. The laundry was rancid by then. Needed a new drain pump motor, which was installed 37 days later. Whirlpool offered $150 for my loss of clothing. Ridiculous. Value $900, I asked for $500. Awful.

Went to Lowe's and they do not carry Whirlpool any longer, so I purchased and installed an A.O. Smith water heater, electric, 50 gallon water heater, model ES12-50R55DV110. Hoping for as good a product now, as I had from my Whirlpool. Also, I installed myself.

I have to add buckets of water to even get the clothes wet enough to wash. The clothes come out with a residue on them. We use liquid HE detergent. It appears Im having the same problem as the majority of posters here. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance. There should be a class action suit to get Whirlpool to respond.

We have owned the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II for about 2.5 years. We purchased this from our local Lowes store (on sale). For the first few months, everything was fine. Then, the dishwasher stopped completing a full cycle and left the dishes somewhat dirty. I found online that I could reset the controls by pressing heated dry-normal-heated dry-normal quickly. When the cycle starts, I press cancel and then set the cycle I want and it will do it correctly. I do this every time I wash the dishes since I dont know when it will decide to stop working (wasting water and soap to redo). Now, the dishes are not drying and water collects on the ceiling of the tub. I saw this after a smell was coming from the tub (like mold) and when I looked up at the top of the tub, I saw water droplets hanging there and mold forming around the sprayer and back of tub. I have to wipe the ceiling dry now or just run vinegar through it often. I cant see paying someone to come out since service calls start around $70 just to come to my home. I did look at reviews for the dishwasher before buying but I wished that I had seen this site first. I would not ever recommend this dishwasher to anyone!

Whirlpool Refrigerator 36 inch #WRF993FIF. We have owned refrigerator for 3 months and both ice makers went out. Worst customer service ever with Whirlpool and their appliance specialists. Ordered new ice maker, but still broken. Whirlpool is saying it needs a new door!!! I have asked for a new refrigerator, but cant get anyone to respond. I have called 6 times being on hold one time for over 30 minutes trying to get a scheduled appointment for a new door! This is by far the worst service that I have ever received from a company.

I purchased the model WDF530PAYM0 serial: F14106104 dishwasher. The foremost reason I purchased this was it had nylon racks. I have discovered that the racks are rusting! It is rusting on the ends where nothing can touch it. I am very disappointed that it is advertised having nylon racks and now it is rusting and deteriorating. This dishwasher states racks-nylon, not racks-nylon coated. I just took some pictures of the racks. I decided to look underneath the top rack where the upper spray arm is located. Now I am plain sick! Most of the underneath is rusting. This dishwasher was purchased and installed 2 years ago. I paid $600 and you would assume that something mechanical would quit after years of use on an average of 1 to 2 times per weeks. Not this one...rusting racks and hard telling what damage the rust flaking off during running is causing to the mechanical components. Lesson learned: Their definition of nylon and nylon coated has no difference.....I very much disagree!

We purchased our Whirlpool Water Heater about 2 years ago. Three weeks after we bought it, it stopped working; the pilot light would not light. They sent a tech out to replace the thermostat and the thermocouple. Now, it has stopped working again. My husband and I have spent nearly 20 hours on the phone with the WP customer service girls and replaced nearly every part but the tank it self. We have not had hot water for over a week and are at wits end! My husband finally got them to authorize us to get a new water heater from Lowes after they told him there was nothing else they could do to help us. Ive read pages and pages of complaints from other people having this same problem. Why do they put you through all the torture if they know its not going to work? Its very frustrating! We are almost to a point of ripping out all the gas lines and going electric! Will the new one we picked up today have the same problems? Only time will tell!

Our Whirlpool Duet Washer pair is 2.5 yrs old. The washer didnt work at first, but a repairman found the problem and fixed it right up. They have not broken. The dryer has been fine and we have had them stacked for most of the time without any issues. My problem sounds minor compared to those others listed here, but this thing is ruining all our white or light colored clothes. They go in white, and come out covered with splotchy, dirty looking spots literally all over them! They werent that kind of dirty when they went in. It’s the oddest thing, like it makes dirt. Reading some of these concerns makes me wonder if it has a mold problem inside somewhere, and that is what is ruining our clothes. Tax return is coming and it is going. End of story.

The finish, which is called Satina or something like that, dents real easy. It is really a piece of **! When it was new, we had the repair man out 4 times before it was fixed. He even said it was a piece of junk and it should be lemon lawed out. Drawers broke, shelves broke, and parts are really expensive when you break one of the plastic parts.

The problem started with an error code F3F1 on dryer. Called A & E Factory Service who is company that are certified Whirlpool technicians. They have been out 7 times, March 26, April 1, April 8, April 13, April 27, May 5 and May 12. During those times they ordered and replaced the main control board 3 times and a thermistor for which we paid for parts and labor. The company now says they think we have a lemon and we are supposed to hear back within 48 hours whether we are going to be refunded a total of $504.48 we have advanced for repairs less the service call. They referred us back to Whirlpool and said they would no longer come out as the dryer cannot be repaired! Talked to Whirlpool customer service that says we didnt have an extended warranty and there is nothing they can or will do. This dryer was purchased on 12/31/11. They took the position that because there is no recall for defective parts for this model, there is nothing they will do. Attached is our purchase receipt and all service invoices regarding this matter.

Whirlpool Corp. stands behind its products. Bought the Cabrio Washer in June 2011. Lid cracked in October 2012 and was not covered under the Lowes extended warranty because they called it a wear item. However, our local Lowes store in Avondale, PA replaced it for us. In December 2013, the lid cracked again. I called Whirlpool customer service and they couldnt do anything. I called the Whirlpool corporate headquarters and was directed to a member of their executive staff. After explaining my situation, Whirlpool agreed to send me a new door free of charge and even pay to have it installed (which I told them I can do myself). Aside from the cracking of two doors, this washer is an exceptional unit. Its good to see Whirlpool stands behind its products this way, outside of the warranty period. I would guess that they always hear a lot of whining and complaining, but it seems if you explain things logically, people listen and are willing to help.

We have recently retired and moved into a smaller home. The kitchen needed to be furnished with all of the normal appliances. We bought two Whirlpool products, a refrigerator and trash compactor. Since we are living on a fixed budget, I was hoping that the furnishings that were bought would last as long as our past appliances did. However, our brand new refrigerator after two and a half years needed to have a new light installed. We called Whirlpool and set up for a repair. The repair was $290.00. We paid the repair man working for Whirlpool, then called Whirlpool and asked if there was anything they could do to help with the cost. They suggested that we buy a protection plan. Both of the refrigerators we have owned during the past fifty years lasted twenty plus years. This one only went two and a half before having to be serviced.Whirlpools answer to my request of helping out with this $290 service call was Sorry, you should have bought a service plan. I wish I would have gone with either of the same brands that we had in the past. Those being, Sears and Sub-Zero. I would suggest that those of you who are contemplating buying a kitchen appliance, choose a company that has a product that will go more than two and a half years without having to be serviced. Neither of the other refrigerators that we had ever had to be serviced. They stayed with the houses we sold.

I have never had such a horrible experience in my life as I have with Whirlpool. Refrigerator ($2,500) broke within three months, and then broke again another two months later and hasn’t worked right since. They have the most horrible customer service, parts are on back order, I’ve had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food because everything keeps freezing but they do not care. Ice machine has been broken for over a month for the second time. They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Buyer beware. Do not buy anything from this company. We recently bought a home and our dishwasher came with the home. We saw our basement leaking and got 2 plumbers come over and check the pipes out, paying almost $600, only to realize that the leak was actually from the broken plastic in our dishwasher, and not any pipe. When we called the Customer Service to get it replaced as it comes with a 20 year warranty on the plastic body, they said they would replace the part, but I would have to pay $81 for the first 15 min & $19 every additional 15 min. for labor, which means I would end up paying at least close to $400 or more, depending on how long the technician takes to replace the fiber body. Neither their policy nor warranty make any sense to me. Its frustrating to see that in spite of being covered, I would be the one paying money out of my pocket.

I will never purchase from Whirlpool again. After 3 years of use in a 2 - person (adult) household, my Whirlpool Duet (WFW94HEXW2) washer suddenly stopped working with an F6 E2 error code. I unplugged / plugged in the machine, took off the top & checked connections, and let it sit overnight. I could not get it working. Speaking to a local repair technician via phone, he indicated it is likely the control board. Whirlpool changed that part from part number W10406632 to part number W10427967. Before spending the money on a service call, he suggested I contact Whirlpool to see if it is under recall. I contacted Whirlpools customer service. They told me the washer is not under recall but I may qualify to purchase their Repair + 1 service. When I expressed frustration at spending so much on a product that lasted only 3 years I was told This is not a known quality issue or recall. I will document a complaint for you. The chat session was then terminated by the customer service representative. We will spend over $300 to replace the part that Whirlpool obviously knows is flawed. However, I will not pay for an additional Whirlpool repair service to fix something that should not have broke in the first place. And Whirlpool (including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn - Air, etc.) will never get our business again.

I purchased it in 2011 for $1100 Canadian. Smooth glass top and true convection. The controls were easy to use, and understand. What bothered me was that it stopped working just after the warranty ran out. I did my research, and found that the newer ranges that have the controls on top at the back have issues with the motherboard overheating, and causing this problem. I did speak to Whirlpool customer service, and managed to convince them to supply the replacement part at no cost. I paid my local dealer to install it. This repair lasted for just over 1 year. Same problem again. This time I could not convince Whirlpool to supply the part. FYI The part in question is the controller. Essentially a motherboard. All the controls are operated through this small computer. It is the only replacement part that costs over $100. Last I checked it was around $450 Canadian. The reason for the fault is overheating. According to the tech that fixed it the first time, it is the most common problem with this style of range. I find this concerning considering the only thing a range does is create heat!Keep in mind that you are virtually held over a barrel. There are only two companies that market their products under multiple names adding up to over 80% of the appliances on the market. They battle for that market by offering more bells and whistles, and less quality. The Range I replaced four years ago was 20 years old. I just replaced my Whirlpool 3 months ago. I went outside of the 80%, and bought a Samsung. Im rolling the dice, and went with induction top. My theory is it will produce less heat because it just heats the pot, not the stove top.Low quality drives me nuts. I want fewer bells and whistles, and more long lasting reliability. I should be able to go my lifetime and only buy two or three ranges. We really like the induction top. It works fast, and doesnt produce too much excess heat. Dual zone oven is a good idea. We werent looking for it, but there was a deal on. The dual zone induction range was only $50 more than the regular one beside it. Now my wife uses it all the time. She will have cookies in one zone, and a casserole for supper in the other. True convection is the other must have. It does a great job cooking everything evenly.

We purchased a Whirlpool front loading washer about three years ago. During our first year the machine worked OK, but three months after warranty expiration (12 month warranty), the sensors seems to go wonky and it no longer worked (at 15 months of age). We paid about $95 in the Minneapolis area for a service call. The repairman had to call Whirlpool from our home to inquire about the sequence of flashing lights on the sensor. After getting off the phone he told us he thought he knew the problem, but could not guarantee that the $200+ part he suggested ordering would solve the problem. The installation would require additional labor charges, of course. I reported the incident to the manager of the repair service and was told the repairman was expert in Whirlpools but this did not further inspire confidence. We were not willing to sink this amount into the machine, so ditched it and bought a top-loading inexpensive Roeper. The top-loading machine definitely appears harder on the clothes than the front loading Whirlpool, but it gets the clothes cleaner and has been problem-free so far.

I have been trying for a month to get my fridge repaired. 2 techs later and still nothing. The 1st tech never turned in his report and I was informed by your customer service that it was my problem and I had to try to track him down and get it turned in. Tech #2 just left my house. He walked in, stuck his arm inside the freezer and said feels cold to me. I pointed out the melted popsicles and that the ice maker was not making ice because the freezer is not freezing. He then said he doesnt have the tools to do the repair, if it can be fixed, and to call him back after the Holidays. I have been w/o a fridge since Thanksgiving... a month. And no one has a solution. I was sold an inferior product that has a manufacturing flaw but I have to suffer for it. $800 out of my pocket and all I get from Whirlpool is Oh Im sorry to hear that. We can send out another tech. The fridge is less than 6 months old and still under warranty. It is a defective product that Whirlpool refuses to stand behind. I guess they are trying to wait out the warranty period so they are off the hook and we are stuck buying a new one or paying the tech for the repair. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS! Ordered this two days after my son came home from college. He had to be out of his apartment July 31 2016 and brought 4 years worth of laundry with him. Monday my machine breaks, Tuesday I order this thing from Lowes Arrives at 2:30 on Thursday and as it is being installed I ask why the water fill is so slow. It is trickling out like a childs toy. Delivery man tells me the water is completely turned on. He hears this remark a lot from people who buy this model. I put in my first load of laundry, a small load of about 6 things that I am washing for my mother who is in a nursing home. They have that nursing home smell. I push pause as the machine is cleaning to unlock the lid and peek inside. Oh my God the clothes are sitting on top of each other not even covered in water. I then shut the lid and listen to the tiny slush of the machine agitating. At the end of the cycle they smell exactly the same. Dirty.I had read to use the deep fill so I rewash them on deep fill. Look inside halfway through and what do I see? Wet clothes piled on top of each other, still not floating in water. How are these clothes getting clean when they are in a wet pile on the bottom of the machine? I take them out. Still not clean. Not smelling quite as bad, but not smelling like soap. I then washed sheets, a blanket, and some clothing of my sons. Nothing smelled particularly dirty but NOTHING smelled like soap. The quilt was covered in hairs (my son and roommates had a dog) and soap residue. I had read this in reviews online also. I am wasting time since each load takes from 50 to 130 minutes (yes). I am wasting soap, oh but I am saving water - not really.Well Lowes has a 30 day return policy so I went down there and am expecting a GE machine with an agitator tomorrow, Saturday! Cant wait. The only one saving money are these manufacturers They no longer are spending cash on producing the agitator out of plastic, attaching it with nuts and bolts, or using gaskets between the parts. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK, do not even look at it. I question all the HE machines at this point. You need to use HE soap cause you cant wash away suds in a machine with no water. What a con - the whole thing is.

Purchased this simple 30 wide fridge July 2017 to fit a short kitchen slot. It worked adequately, but it only had 3 temp settings. The highest setting was too warm and coldest froze food in the fridge within days. The middle setting was a little cold but the best option. Food in the back did occasionally freeze and we had to be careful for vegetables in the drawer freezing. Often we wrapped lettuce and more fragile veggies in towels to absorb moisture and slow down freezing. Two years after buying - almost to the day - the fridge stopped cooling below 45F. The freezer still worked, so I thought it might be fixable. I tried some DIY repairs from a couple of websites but nothing worked. Within a week, the fridge temps were up to 50-55F. I gave up on buying ice and keeping food in coolers. I bought a GE and havent looked back.

I have made 4 calls to the Co which warranties the washer because it is making squeaking noises on the spin cycle. I was refused service because the customer service rep didnt “hear” anything. I finally had a local service Co check out the machine and was told the motor needs to be replaced and if under warranty I should demand it be replaced. I have a Whirlpool dishwasher that is under warranty. The dishwasher failed and Whirlpool service gave me a written report acknowledging their part had failed. It caused $20,000 worth of documented damage. Their adjuster came out after waiting for one month. I have a claim with them and no one contacts me. For a few weeks I was dealing with their legal dept and they said they were going to turn it over to the company that made the defect part. To which I advised them Whirlpool did the damage, I will deal only with them. Since then their legal dept has not answered one email. Whirlpool is trying to put the damage on another company rather than themselves. I have heard from NO ONE. I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and their tech and their adjuster confirm the damage. Now here I sit one month later, cabinets destroyed, floor destroyed and garage ceiling as well as kitchen walls destroyed and at one point Whirlpool says maybe you should put it through your homeowners, they would pay you faster. I purchased my new Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load washer to replace a Maytag that had finally given out in the summer of 2012. I wish I did more due diligence, but with a toddler and a newborn, I needed a washer asap. I severely regret my $800 purchase from Sears. It is now February 2013 and the machine basically only runs on two cycles - Casual and Normal. All the others stop in mid-cycle. Sometimes, the items are still dry or partially wet so I need to switch to another cycle to complete the wash. This is not good for Delicates or when I wash Whites, Heavy Duty or Bulky items which is one of the reasons I purchased the model. The cycle stops when the items are soaked with massive amounts of water. So I then have to turn it to the Drain cycle and start over. After a day of washing one load, I couldve done it the old-fashioned way in my utility basin sink and hung it out to dry ... I dont have the time for this. I am going to make a formal complaint to Whirlpool and to Sears. I cannot keep spending nearly $1,000 for items that break within a year. These companies should be ashamed of their lack of quality. I shouldve gone with the Electrolux and just dealt with the price tag - I wouldve been much happier.

We have the same complaints about the washer as other reviewers -- have to use deep water wash to get enough water in the tub to clean and rinse soap from clothes and we have to keep the loads small. Dryer thermostat had to be replaced right off the bat. Now on medium heat it just burned patterns into two light-weight polyester fleece items -- the clothes came out with the heat input screen pattern burned into them. Now I wonder if they stuck to the heating screen for any length of time, was it a fire hazard? The burned parts of the items are now stuck to the drum so that needs cleaning. So well be using low heat on most everything and drying them twice, since low heat leaves them pretty wet after 35 minutes. So much for buying energy saving appliances which, by the way, we were proud to buy! But, prior to buying these appliances, we had washer and dryers that last 20 years. Built in obsolescence with these new things? I have no faith in the consumer complaint process anymore. The retailer may care as they are a bit closer to the problem, but the manufacturer? Forget it. Vote with your wallet and dont buy these products.

Cabrio washer and dryer are not energy saver by any means! Have had the pair for almost 1 year and have spent at least 3 years of washing and drying time with these. What use to take 30 minutes to wash now takes at least 48 or more and the dryer has to be run twice on lots of loads to dry! The other thing is, with no water in the tub it really does not have a soak cycle to get really dirty stuff clean, so you wash things 2 or 3 times! Purchased washer and dryer in 2013. After several months I noticed small holes in my clothing. I called for service since my machines were still under warranty. I also contacted Whirlpool and was told I could call for service for several weeks since it was still under warranty. I asked why call for service when I was told it could not be fixed. I did have it serviced again and told it was a problem with the design. Numerous items of clothing were ruined which I showed the technician. He gave me a phone number to contact Whirlpool. They in turn said there was nothing they could do for me. I usually place items in laundry bags for delicate fabrics but for obvious reasons not all items fit in a bag. Three years ago I bought a Whirlpool 22 cf bottom freezer (GB2FHDXWB02) & within 2 weeks it developed its first problem. Ive had service men out 3 times (on an extended warranty) for ice buildup and leakage, presumably from the icemaker, and the problem hasnt been solved yet. I tried to open the freezer tonight and the handle pulled off in my hands, nearly sending me head over heels. This thing is a major lemon!!! Dont get me wrong: I love the design! It looks good, keeps everything at the right temps & the bottom freezer is a great idea. Id buy the same design again if I could guarantee no leakage and a handle that wont separate from the door. Now Im having problems getting the repair service to come out here again, despite the warranty. Meanwhile, the fridge is leaking onto the wood laminate floor causing damage. I purchased this refrigerator and have had problems with it from almost the beginning. First, the doors wholl not stay open long enough to remove items. The technician Whirlpool sent out said the cause was an uneven floor. I checked with a level and the floor is almost completely even. So, then it said thats the way it was intended to work. Isnt that what the adjustment wheels on the bottom are supposed to correct? They dont. One individual in Whirlpools customer service department told me that the doors were not a functional part of the fridge and, therefore were not covered by the warranty. What?Next the refrigerator leaked and ruined the ceiling in the floor below. A few weeks after that was fixed (the fridge, not the ceiling), the unit completely shut down and I lost a tremendous amount of food. Bad enough to have to go through this but then to have Whirlpool treat me so the horribly was absurd. Fridge broke on Friday and a service person came out on Wednesday. Tech tells me he has to order the part (control box) and I find out the next day that the part was on back order. I had already been without a fridge for a week when Whirlpool tells me the part was not available until 9/19 (this was on 8/6)! That was not an acceptable solution so I requested a refund or a new fridge. Nope, their job is to repair, not replace. They said they needed 7-10 days to see if they could get the part earlier. What? Then if it couldnt be repaired in a reasonable amount of time they would consider replacing the appliance. They would not define reasonable amount of time.I believe I spoke to about 10 or 12 different whirlpool reps, and was told 4 times that a supervisor would return my call. One person did call back when I was unable to answer the phone and I called her back within 20 minutes. Guess what, she wasnt available and she never responded to my 3 return calls. When I complained that I had spoken to so many different people and was tired of telling the fridge saga to yet another person who would not help me, she volunteered to be my point person. She gave me her direct extension and said she would handle my case. I left 3 or 4 messages for her and she never returned my call. In other words, I was constantly told that I would receive return calls but never did. In summary, no one cared that I had an almost brand new Whirlpool refrigerator that was not working and that the date I could expect a repair was indefinite. In addition to all of that, every time I called they were experiencing a high call volume. Maybe they could hire more staff? When this all started, Home Depot told me I had to go through Whirlpool because it was under their warranty for the first year. Finally I decided to go to the store (after all, I did pay them for the fridge). After 3.5 hours in Home Depot, they agreed to replace the refrigerator. I havent gotten it yet (they did send over a small loaner), I am really hoping this is the end of this fiasco. I want my life back!! !

These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together
These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together which they attempt to do in a minute amount of water. They destroy the fabric, pull the seam out of shape, wrinkle them beyond the point of wearable, do not get them clean and do not get all the detergent out. I have had clothes come out partially dry. They also do not dilute the fabric softener, leaving unremovable stains on your clothes. In addition, they take forever to do a load of clothes even without the extra rinse you need if you want any hope of getting the clothes rinsed. The dryer is the slowest dryer I have ever had. The steam refresh that is supposed to get the hideous wrinkles out of your clothes does not put steam into the dryer. Instead, it sets the dryer to the highest heat so that those clothes you did not want on high heat are now getting it; then it shoots bursts, yes large bursts, of water on them. Your clothes come out a combination of still wrinkles and wet. If you hear of a class action suit, please contact me. These machines should be recalled.

The repairman gave my husband SR#** and a Cust. Service telephone #800-253-1301. I called and they gave me another SR#** and phone #866-931-7390 to call the following Friday. I called the number (Team Resolution Specialists) Friday 6/26/20 and was offered an amount that wouldnt even pay half of a refrigerator like that. They did not even offer to replace the refrigerator. The company where I work (for 20 years) sells Whirlpool appliances. We have purchased thousands and thousands of dollars of WP appliances. I work in Accounts Payable. I print a check for the appliances to pay for them promptly. I am so disappointed in Whirlpool. What has happened to Whirlpools quality of product and quality of service. I am so disappointed.

I purchased the fridge 2nd hand in 2013. It was 10 years old at the time. It is still going strong & I purchased it because it has a frost-free freezer that never needs de-frosting and I love the features & size - its the PERFECT FRIDGE. What I look for in a fridge is its colour - I like metal, steel grey colour. I go for reputation & quality. Frost free is the biggest factor that determines my purchases, long-term (10-year min.) warranty & guarantee, size.

Whirlpool refrigerator Model #GX5FHDXVY010, freezer on bottom. Ice maker broke within six months of purchase. Made loud noises, would not function to freeze ice. Turned waterline off and now use ice trays like the old days. Shortly thereafter, second unrelated problem started. Drain line started backing up and runs into the bottom of the freezer floor where it freezes into a thin sheet of ice, and then runs onto the kitchen floor. Have had the line cleaned out over and over again. Have been buying fridges for 50 yrs. and have never had this problem. Whirlpool says call a repairman and pay to have it fixed, but it happens over and over again. Whirlpool should come up with a permanent fix and pay to have it fixed. Based on the numerous complaints of this problem, this model needs a recall now.

After 25 years my Maytag died. It was a Sunday so we just decided to go to Lowes & purchase a new one. They could not find my 1st choice so I bought the Cabrio. It is the worst washer I could have purchased. It determines the amount of water you need. Our clothes never seem to be clean & its very noisy. It has no agitator & is supposed to save water. Even putting it on the longest cycle our clothes do not appear to be clean.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes. I had trouble with it from day 1. It never worked correctly. Their service department is terrible. All they want to do is sell you extended coverage policies on it. Every time I have it fixed, its never covered, and I have to pay again. You will be sorry if you buy a Whirlpool water heater.

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator the last week of January 2014 with promised delivery date of February 6, 2015. Received call Feb. 2 that the earliest they could deliver would be February 13th. Received call Feb. 3 that the earliest they could deliver would be February 19, almost 2 months after purchase of refrigerator. Sears, where we purchased the refrigerator, told me that they have been dealing with this for 10 years with Whirlpool. Why would Sears sell products to their customers with this kind of delivery problem? They only communicate with Whirlpool via email, so there is no resolution with a person to get issue taken care of. We will never buy a Whirlpool product again & will never buy anything from Sears again.

Top loading HE machine. Washer does not clean. I have tried all manufacture recommendations, changed detergents and tried laundry boosters, all to no avail. Tshirts, pants and socks routinely come out of the wash dirty and must be re-washed. This negates any energy savings. Also, the noise from the spin cycle is very loud - the washer is on the second floor but I was told by sales person that this would not be an issue with top loader. Overall, very disappointed and after all these years, I have finally given up on this washer and will junk it.

My Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling just after a year. I had to buy a $319 warranty. It was fixed, but broke several months later. The repairman said he would try to stop the leak and it worked for a couple more months. The refrigerator was obviously irreparable and we should have had it replaced by Whirlpool at this point. Now, that it broke again (stopped cooling and freezing) the repair service is giving us the runaround. Its over a week and they wanted us to call a repair service and they would reimburse them. The repair service and Whirlwind know about this problem, but refuse to acknowledge it and are getting away with it. With all the comments Im reading here, there should definitely be a recall. Id like to know what it takes to have one authorized.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater in 2009. I paid $588.46 at Lowes. Turns out it is in a class action lawsuit for faulty thermocouple. I was given a coupon from Whirlpool for 2 new thermocouples as part of the class action lawsuit. The thermocouple goes out on it every 1-3 months. You never know when youre going to have a cold shower getting ready for work in the morning. I literally could have bought a new water heater for what Ive spent on thermocouples the last few years. The last two times it went out, I had to replace it twice within 1 day. Im sick of replacing it and have decided to install a new hot water heater. I am disgusted with Whirlpool and tried to contact them about it but have gotten no response. I will never buy another Whirlpool product and would not recommend them to anyone!

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator model WRF560SEYM in June 2014. In February 2015 the ice maker had to be repaired because of a leak. Now in February of 2016 the ice maker and water dispenser are leaking. Because the warranty is one year, Im basically stuck with a refrigerator that sucks. Not only is the ice maker and water dispenser broken, the door sometimes doesnt shut properly and the shelving couldnt possibly be more cheaply made. This refrigerator is in a vacation home and has barely been used. I have purchased many Whirlpool appliances on the past and have never seen such poor quality in an appliance. The only thing Whirlpool can offer is sorry youre stuck!! No more Whirlpool for me!!

I bought a whirlpool washer because we thought it was the best. It does not clean our clothes especially my husbands jeans. They are on their third wash at this minute. I use Gain HE detergent. I bought clorox 2, I use spray & wash & I have even started using a little clorox but the red dirt still doesnt come out. I never had this problem with my old washer. If there is any help for me here please let me know. If this is supposed to be a water saver I dont see how I have saved any after washing jeans for the third time. If they are not clean this time, I guess he will wear them dirty.

Purchased our stainless steel Whirlpool Gold range hood microwave oven in J
Purchased our stainless steel Whirlpool Gold range hood microwave oven in January 2011. By August, there were problems. It was noisy. It would occasionally shut off for no apparent reason and eventually in August of that same year, it completely stopped heating. The magnetron was replaced at no charge because it was still under warranty. The microwave has continued to run very loudly, vibrate a lot and is still prone to random shutoffs. Now a little over 2 years later, it has now stopped heating again...I am assuming another bad magnetron. How is that possible? Our last microwave lasted for over 10 years! In fact we got rid of it when it was still working fine so we could get this one for over the range instead of on our countertop. So now I have a Whirlpool paper weight for which I originally paid $485. When I called Whirlpool, I was informed a service call would be $130.00 PLUS any necessary parts and labor costs OR I could purchase the repair plus 1-yr extended warranty for $289.95. Upon requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was informed that there were no flags in the system indicating any problems with this line of microwaves. I further inquired on how they are aware of problems... Essentially a phone call warrants little proof of any problem. A service tech would have to actually go out and witness that there is a problem for it to be noted. So, for those of us that simply decide to turn our back on the product and buy a new microwave, it would go undocumented by their company. My top-of-the-line microwave is less than 3 years old and has broken down again. Doesnt common sense tell you that there is a problem with the quality? I know Whirlpool has been around for 100+ years and I really want to like them, but if they dont support the consumers that purchased their products, I can no longer do the same for them.

I bought a Whirlpool High Efficiency top load washer. It does not get the clothes clean. Dark clothes come out with spots all over them. There is not enough water to rinse out the dirt. It is left on the clothes in spots. I have to take my clothes to the laundry mat to wash them to get them clean. I am 74 years old and have used Whirlpool appliances all my life. I have dt3 rental houses I keep Whirlpool appliances in. But I wont be buying any more. I had to call the repair man one month after I bought it. He had to recalibrate the machine. If all you want to wash or maybe rinse out is a pair of slacks or a shirt, it might be o.k. but not a load of dirty clothes. It is just a JOKE.

It gets the job done. Its no power washer, but the dishes get pretty clean and dry nicely. I have no idea how dirty the dishes can be and still get cleaned, since Im weird and pre-wash my dishes. Its stainless steel and black, and has quite a few wash and dry settings, including an option for heated or unheated dry. The utensil rack is attached to the door of the washer and cant be moved. Two levels, and pretty easy to do dish tetris with. No offense to most standard dishwashers – I need a washer about 3 times the normal size due to a passion for cooking. Its slick and matches my ultra-modern, borderline-Swedish interior.

Whirlpool hot water heater - The water coming from the faucets when it is hot is red. Therefore, I contacted Whirlpool and was informed that the anode has failed. The anode is not covered because, according to this company, it is not considered a working part. It baffles me that the anode is not a working part since it keeps the tank from rotting. I have only had the hot water tank for three years and this part has failed causing my hot water to be red. Since this company contradicts itself, I either have to live with red hot water (rust) or replace the part on my own. Unlike your company, Lowes has customer service. They apologized and will be paying for half of the expense for the part. Unfortunately, I still must pay for an employee to replace the part. This whole situation is absolutely ridiculous. I will never be purchasing another item from your company and in addition to that, I will tell everyone I know to avoid this company at all costs. You should strongly consider revising this policy before you lose all of your customers.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7340XW washer is a piece of junk! I have had issues since the day I bought it and havent even had some of the failed parts that other people are talking about. It does not save water. I went from 5000 gal to 13000 gal in one month! It doesnt wash clothes. Everything comes out with the same spots they went in with and then some. Light colors come out with what looks like grease spots and whites come out with black spots. I have had it five months and have used six of the monthly cleaning tabs. Clothes get tangled and torn because of the speed of the spin cycle even on delicate. This unit needs to be recalled and redesigned or customers should be offered a different washer of their choice within the price range of this unit.

My Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5550xw0 has had many problems. It started with the lid lock error, replaced it, lasted about 2 weeks, and got another one. I did the diagnostic test that pointed me to the actuator, replaced it. It worked for 2 weeks, got another one, and then another one. I was getting a bad reading from the control panel, replaced it, and that worked for a while. I found out that the actuator had a little water drops on it. I figured that it must be the tub seal, so I replaced it. That lasted about a week and a half, and it started dripping again. Now, I figured it is that the transmission has bad bearings, that causes my tub seal to leak, that causes water drips to go onto my actuator, causing a failure in that, which can give me all kinds of bad readings on the diagnostic test. I have replaced at least half the cost of the original purchase price on a year and a half old washer. I also bought my son a Whirlpool Cabrio washer a few months before I bought mine, and he hasnt had a single problem.

I am 72 years old and this Whirlpool Energy Star HE Washing Machine is just useless. It does not clean clothes properly. It always leaves a stinky washing machine smell which never goes away despite no matter what you do. A completely useless, faulty washing machine! Never ever buy a Whirlpool HE washing machine! Some websites say that you need to buy a washer fan at a cost of $69.99 and attach it to the back of your washing machine as this is the only way you can get rid of the smell. Who has that kind of money? Why is this fan not already included in this washing machine if Whirlpool is aware of the smelly washing machine/smelly clothes problem? This is such a joke! We would like to be reimbursed for our deficient Whirlpool Washing Machine or at the very least, have a recall of this inefficient, poorly designed washing machine. Report them to the Better Business Bureau and anyone else you think can resolve this problem - thanks!! - Unhappy camper

I bought a Cabrio Washer and Dryer around January 2015 at Lowes. After going through the worse service imaginable, the washer was like pouring salt in the wound. I like the dryer fine, but months later, Im still unhappy with the washer. While it washes OK, it takes forever to wash a load. Most of the time, it does not spin the clothes out enough. There is no way to just spin again. You have to go through a rinse/spin cycle and you may or may not get lucky with a sufficient spinning. Why cant they just have a spin cycle and why does it have to take so long to wash a simple load of clothes? I have bought many Whirlpool appliances, but this is my last ever.

I have a Cabrio washing machine and the circuit board has gone bad. I understand from Whirlpools customer service that if your machine was made before 2005, they are fixing the issue. Mine was made after 2006. Even though the problem is the same, Whirlpool will not correct the problem. I was told it was fixed in the new machines. The circuit board goes bad and you have to start and stop the machine at least three times before it will start your cycle, then it stops again at the 17 minute mark and you have to cancel and start the machine again for it to finish its cycle. The error is F1. Customer service acknowledged that this is a known problem for the Whirlpool machines built before 2005 but deny any claim that is is happening to the machines after 2005. Looking at all the other complaints, it is still a problem. I am disappointed in Whirlpool for their customer service attitude and for them not standing behind their product and fixing a known problem. I have always bought Whirlpool products but going forward will be switching to a better company. Shame on you Whirlpool. For a machine I spent $1000 on, the part is going to cost $300 to fix.
