We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio for $1,100 because it was the largest capacity washer in our price range at the time. It has had very little use as I typically take my clothes to the laundry mat since it is anything but large capacity. I have always had problems with the buttons malfunctioning but I went to empty a load and the water was still standing in it - I got code ld and realized that the entire tub had broke off and dropped into the bottom of the machine. Where is the class-action law suit? I want to be the first name on it. I dont have $1,100 to waste on junk. Whirlpool should be ashamed.

I have a Whirlpool cabrio washer (Model: wtw6300 Serial Number: CT3573525) and I am very disappointed with it. The spin cycle is the worst--sounds like a jet engine and gives me the UL error message of unbalance load. The machine was purchased in 2007 but was kept indoors. At the beginning, I didnt care because I had warranty with BrandsMart. I had to call at least four times. But now, I bought the automatic control and it didnt work. For two days, I was trying to balance this machine but it is impossible since the beginning.I contacted customer service and they advised me to contact the repair service in my area to get a diagnostic analysis of the issue. Hello! I already know what the problem is after reading all these reviews! I cannot tell you how pissed off I am. I will never purchase anything Whirlpool. Two of the gas burners of my Whirlpool kitchen, after two years of use, are no longer working. I will definitely contact BBB as soon as possible. Come on, fellow complainants, let us continue to fight to get a possible recall soon! We all have the same problem because this is a manufacturing defect!

On Aug. of 2013, purchased A Whirlpool refrigerator with ex warranty to find out the bottom freezer door started to RUST!!!! They said it was not covered????? WHY!!!!

Purchased front load washer & dryer 2009 - have had issues with the washer ever since. The last episode has taken 3 visits from repairman - they cant figure out what the problem is - wont finish a cycle (any of them) and locks up. Cant open the door without turning it off and then back on. But the load wont spin dry - leaves clothes wet. Already had the harness replaced a couple of years ago and now they replaced the flywheel (it was warped) thinking that was the problem. Nope. Still wont work & the repair company said they cant figure it out & neither can Whirlpool. Im very angry after reading all of these posts about Whirlpool. Not a happy customer. But what can you do???

We purchased Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW5600 series in October of 2010. I bought the machine from Sears and also bought the extended warranty. Less than 6 months after I had been using it, I noticed that all my husband’s shirts were getting sweat stains under the arms and my hand towels were very smelly after drying with them one time. I called Sears to have someone come out and tell us what the problem was. He said I was using too much detergent so I reduced the amount of what I was using. It did not help the problem so I started using the extra rinse each time I washed, still did not fix the problem. I called them out 3 more times in 2011. One tech told me I was still using too much detergent so I reduced down to 1 tablespoon like he suggested. I stopped using softener in my washer because he said I needed to clean my machine more than one time a month, to clean it every 3 weeks. No solution to the problem still. I have had a tech from Sears and one from Whirlpool (who incidentally was the same man, he was from A&E Appliances). When he came in the door, my husband told him he had been here before and I said 2 times. He lied and said he had not been out before. Are we blind? No. He ran the cycle but sat in his truck while he was running it. None of the techs have ever put a tool on the machine to check if the water level is right. They just stand there and tell us to change the amount of detergent or clean the machine with Clorox more often. I cleaned it 8 days in a row and the clothes still smell and still do not get cleaned. We talked to main man at Whirlpool and said they couldnt do anything because their 1 year warranty had run out. We have been using Whirlpool appliances for over 30 years but I will not ever buy another one. I have probably had 5 Whirlpool washers over the years but never had a problem until we got this Cabrio top loader without an agitator. I would not recommend this washer to my worst enemy, if I had one.

My fridge stainless steel doors rusted on after Whirlpool Customer Service told me to buy and use Affresh (a Whirlpool product) to clean them! The fridge was only 12 days old when this occurred, imagine my shock and disappointment. Whirlpool Customer Service reps then sent me another one of their products Whirlpool Stainless Steel Brightener with instructions to clean it every day for 3 weeks and it would resolve the rust problem. It didnt resolve the rust problem. 2 repairmen from different companies have looked at the doors and shook their heads that Whirlpools own Customer Service department recommended a product for a fridge that rusted it and then they take no responsibility for it! Whirlpool knows these stainless steel fridges have the potential to rust. Its listed in their manual. Unfortunately, buyers arent given a copy of that manual to peruse BEFORE they buy the product. I would never have purchased this Whirlpool fridge had I seen that! I have now since read of other Whirlpool stainless steel fridges rusting.

We purchased 4.0 cu. ft. Cabrio Top Load Washer with 6th Sense Technology MODEL WTW7340XW2 on 11/20/2011. We are a small family of 3 so use of the machine is light. We noticed a strange sound and some leaks a week ago and called in a technician recommended on the Whirlpool website. To our horror he informed us that we need to replace the tub bearing assembly, rotor and stator - to a cost of $1095! This machine is not even 3 years old. Did we buy a lemon? I called Whirlpool. They were simply not interested. The online chat person sent me to the Whirlpool Customer Experience Team where I was told that I should buy an insurance plan to cover the costs of repairs. They then sent me on to the insurance department who want me to pay $338 to buy a repair plan to have the machine fixed. And then referred me to the Manufacturing division when I wanted to know how to escalate the problem - and if you call that number - there is no option to deal with problems - seriously?!? Is this what I should expect when buying the Whirlpool brand?

We bought this washing machine in 2013 from Plass, an appliance store in Chicago that is now out of business. The top loading plastic lid that holds the glass piece snapped and broke. I called the company, and they said that there is not a recall but that I could order parts. They put me on hold, and 10 minutes later, I was on the phone with a company in Missouri that wanted to sell me a lid for $219.38 plus tax and shipping. I am surprised to see that others are having the same problem and that there are no recalls from Whirlpool!

I have hated this Cabrio washer and dryer set since the day they were delivered brand new by Best Buy a couple of years ago. The washer does not clean well, often does not spin dry, and leaves some clothes dry after a full wash cycle!!! I have to wash small loads on the deep water cycle to even have a chance at cleaning the clothes. The clothes are so dreadfully compacted and tangled that it takes great effort to birth them out of the washer, unfurl them, shake them, and put them into the next torture machine- the dryer. It is as if Whirlpool intended to build a machine to twist clothing so tight that it requires a bodybuilder to untangle the clothing. Then the items are so incredibly crumpled that ironing has found its way back into my already busy life. Ironing is a massive challenge to the degree of wrinkles in the clothing. The slanted tops are icing on the cake. Cant even pull the clothes out of the dryer to the top of it because they slide right off. Cool.

It was not a good experience after I purchased a Whirlpool washer in Feb 2014. I have been going to Laundromat 5 months since I found the door did not able to secure. I reported in January 2015 and technicians from 3 different contractors made more than 10 visits for checking and replacing parts. Not only nothing gets done, I also missed work for all these days. Then I escalated to the Supervisor, ** and Miss ** in Executive Office of North American Region. Both of them are very nice that they understand the situation and how frustrate it is. Finally, ** said Whirlpool would replace it. ** told me that I should get phone call from H.H. Gregg within 48 hours. However, it has been two weeks and seems no one care. In this three days memorial weekend, I still need to go to Laundromat while they are enjoying BBQ with their friends and families. I dont know how long it take to replace it.

We bought the dishwasher as part of our major kitchen remodel. After 1 year, 10 months of successful operation, the wash motor failed. We are now faced with paying about 1/3 of the cost of a new unit, after less than 2 years. I dont expect new appliances to last forever, but less than 2 years is ridiculous. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.

Warning: Whirlpool water heaters are junk! Spent $553.00 for a high quality ( lmao ) water heater that had a 6 year warranty. Started leaking internally and rusted through, then rusted a hole in the bottom. 6 years and 3 months later they said you are S.O.L. Leak occurred well over 3 months ago, but they said it has to be reported before the 6 years. Do not waist your money on this junk!

I purchased a new Whirlpool stainless steel smooth top range model #WEE745H0FS and it was installed the day before Thanksgiving, 11/22/17. The oven door handle was broken on inside by installers. I called Whirlpool warranty on 11/24/17 and requested a repair. A repairman came the following week two days late. He said he needed to order a part. After calling the “Whirlpool approved” repair shop multiple times over the next two weeks, I was told the part was backordered. Finally, yesterday, 12/13/17 the repairman showed up an hour later than appt. time. He took the oven door apart again and the new part didn’t fit my oven door. He had carelessly ordered the wrong part. I was told he’d put a rush on the correct part and that it would be here 12/18/17. I will never buy another appliance from Kelley Appliance in Augusta GA nor another Whirlpool product. I have had to use duct tape on my brand NEW oven just to use the oven so it doesn’t fall apart when opening.

I have the top load Whirlpool. Its very roomy for my covers, rugs & towels. It has a setting for me to just clean my washer or if I need to just rinse it. It has a cycle just for that. Or if I need a quick wash or a just cold water wash it has those cycle. When my cycles are done it makes a cute jingle sound to let me know its done.

How would you like to be without a refrigerator for 10+ days? How do you justify 10 days without a service tech being available for what I call an emergency! Either you need to hire more technicians or make BETTER products. My suggestion is have a supervisor go out to a call first and access the problem. My case, a tech shows up after waiting 10 days, to tell me my refrigerator needs all the parts. Which means Ill have to wait probably another 2-3 weeks for the parts to arrive. Im sure the parts werent ordered to be expedited. Im beyond furious. We lost everything in our freezer. Doesnt stay frozen in coolers.When we purchased the refrigerator, just under two years ago, the service tech was out three separate times because our ice maker kept going on the blink. Finally, I purchased ice maker, because your refrigerator only makes ice when it wants. Not reliable! Second problem, the lights in refrigerator & freezer went out. Real smart to install LED lights that can only be replaced by a technician. Insane for the consumer. (Cost of lights replaced w/o warranty contract is $100). DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU ENJOY MISERY!!Why would you put glossy black finish on front of refrigerator, and the sides have black texture, where you cant see fingerprints. I am posting to help anyone else avoid the purchase of this machine! The lid has cracked and now warped into a position where it wont stay down. Obviously a washer will not work without being in the locked position, so we have to put several heavy things on top of it just to run a load of laundry. This is not what we expect out of a washer that we paid $900 for only two years ago!!!! We contacted Whirlpool and they offered to fix it for $350. REALLY??? I SHOULD NOT have to pour money into a washer this expensive after two years!!!! I am so disappointed in Whirlpool, this was the entire reason we purchased Whirlpool products, to avoid stress of broken appliances. We wanted reliability for our busy family and instead we bought into more stress.

Purchased Whirlpool free standing smooth top range at Sears Outlet (scratch & dent) in Columbus, OH on December 8, 2012 for a rental property. On May 18, 2014, tenant said she turned the oven on to preheat and turned on one of the front burners. She said she was at the sink preparing food and heard a loud noise; turned around and there were flames coming from the top of the stove. This didnt sound logical so I called fire department and spoke with one of the firemen. He said there was no evidence of anything in the oven or on top of the stove. Tenant said only thing she noticed is that there was a clicking noise coming from the stove a few days prior. After reading all of these complaints, I dont think I will buy another smooth top Whirlpool electric range. Luckily no one was hurt.

Love the size. We got the 28 cu ft with the drawer. I love the drawer for cold drinks and lunch meat, cheese, etc. Unlike previous refrigerators I never seem to run out of room. The bottom freezer has 2 drawers and is easy to organize.

Whirlpool Gold Fridge - For all the people who have water collecting at the bottom of their freezer... There is a plug in the drain pan underneath that needs to be removed. It comes that way from the factory. Thank God, I have a smart Hubby and Father-in-Law. I find it INSANE that these Repair people have not caught on or do they just want to keep billing for Service Calls.

We purchased this Gold Series Whirlpool Dishwasher about 4 years ago. It worked very well up until April of this year. At that time, the main pump stopped working and it has to be replaced. There are just two of us in the household so the dishwasher was only used 2 or 3 times a week. We also kept it very clean with no build up. The gasket around the soap dispenser came out and one of the wheels fell off of the bottom rack. We just feel that 3 1/2 years is too soon for a major appliance to stop working and fall apart, especially given the light usage.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2014. It is a side by side with ice maker in the door. About 8 month ago the ice machine stopped working. I called an appliance repair center and they diagnosed the problem as being the control board for the ice machine. After only 3 years this stopped working? I gave them to OK to fix it. A few days later I was informed that the part is on backorder for a few months. Well a few months has become 6 months and no part is available. I contacted Whirlpool and they called me and promised a solution, but then they never contacted me again. So it is almost 7 months later and I still have no ice. How can a relatively newer product break down and then not have a part available? Whirlpool absolutely does NOT care about their customers and does NOT back their products. Stay away at all costs.

We bought a gas Whirlpool Stove from Lowes. We noticed it was not heating like our last stove and thought maybe because it was new. No the stove does not heat properly at all. I cooked a pork loin for 40 minutes at 350 and it was still raw in the middle. I have had to cook everything on 375 which makes the door handles and knobs very hot. I called Lowes and they patched me into Whirlpool after a 45 minute wait. The rep from Whirlpool said, you can look at the manual and figure out how to calibrate it. No I cant. I have a warranty that is what it is suppose to cover. Then I was on hold for another 20 minutes. Really no one should tell you to read a manual to fix a gas stove. I will not buy another Whirlpool item. Poor customer service and that make you feel you are bothering them.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator at Home Depot for about $700. Six months later, suddenly, it starts making an intermittent but constant loud grinding noise and then the squeaking started. I called Home Depot first because I bought the protection plan. They referred me to Whirlpool who said the protection plan doesn’t kick in until another year after the warranty ends. It makes these noises whenever it runs, which seems to be more often (that it is running). Whirlpool may still charge $120 just for someone to come look at it even though it is under warranty. I asked another repair place and they said it might void my warranty for them to look at it instead. Whirlpool said it wouldn’t void the warranty but they would only work on it after the first repair person was finished. I’m waiting for the repair guy to come and see why it is making these loud noises. Another person with more knowledge of fridges than I have listened to the noises and said it sounds like friction in a motor. I read a review of the fridge that said the reviewer had problems after only 6 months and I thought that must be a fluke. Apparently not.

Whirlpool microwave came with my new condo, and its as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. Very easy to use, sounds are not annoying (as my last microwave was) and heats food quickly and evenly, as needed.

My experience was terrible. We purchased a side by side refrigerator on June 27, 2011 and it stopped working in December, 2011. We reported this onDecember 19, 2011. A repairman was sent out a few days later, who could not solve the problem because a piece had to be ordered. The piece was ordered and the repairman came to install the part on December 28, 2011.The refrigerator is still not working at all. We have been without ice for this period of time, not to mention the inconvenience of non-refrigeration of food. I pleaded for them to pick up the refrigerator and give me even a partial refund. I was told that three repairs had to be done before they would even consider picking up the refrigerator. I am not a person who complains, but this was ridiculous. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

Whirlpool washing machine M# wtw7340xw2 / S# c14270996 - Bought in 11/26/2012. Never was real satisfied with the way the clothes were washed. They never came out real clean and smelled like there was still soap in the clothes. It has been less than two years and now it will not run. Turn the unit on and all it wants to do is turn on the pump to drain the tub. Im a refrigeration technician and know how to run a diagnostic test Whirlpool has for this machine. I get an LF code which is water long fill so I checked out the water tube which is ok. So the problem is in the circuit board not sensing the water level. To replace this board is around $350 dollars and if I had someone else do the work I would be looking at over $550 dollars. I only paid around $500 dollar for the washer so it does not make any sense to put a new solid state board into this washer which cost as much as the washer. Our old GE washer lasted us for over 20 years and did a better job washing our clothes. There should be a better warranty on these machines than one year. I did not buy the extended warranty because of the cost and I expect that the product should last at least 10 years or more.

This is the worst washer/dryer I have ever had. It is so damn loud that the neighbors can hear it. Water level is too low. Today the dial is making a buzzing sound. I have to re-rinse the clothes. It does not spin enough, have to re-spin again. What kind of energy saver is this, NONE. They said thats the way the machine is, loud, thats bull. No machine should be like that. I threw money away when I bought that piece of (you know what). Dont buy this machine. Consumer Affairs, you should pursue this product with Whirlpool and have them do something about it. They do absolutely NOTHING.

I purchased a 30 gallon gas hot water heater from Lowes in 2013. Within the first 3 months, it went out. I contacted whirlpool who troubleshot the heater 4 different times. Final contact was in early 2014, I requested a tech to look at the heater. Was informed it is now over a year old, it would be at my cost. Replacement parts $30. Shipping the water heater is great if you like cold showers. After a little searching, I find they know this water heater is junk as does Lowes but dont care.

Ive had my Whirlpool refrigerator for 6 months and since then Ive had it serviced 7 TIMES! Im a person who works so every time my fridge breaks down I have to take time off from work to wait around on a tech. I just called Whirlpool to see if they can switch my fridge out and they said NO! All they can offer me is a $50 check and have a different company come out and check my fridge. Im SO UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED! I remember when I was a little girl my parents and grandparents would talk about how good Whirlpool was and I was so excited when I moved into my first brand new house 6 months ago. It had all brand new Whirlpool appliances but now I think they are a piece of crap because to top it all off my microwave broke down 3 months after I moved in and I waited over a month from the time I reported it to have the tech come out and replace it. On Dec 18, 2015, my hot water heater located in my garage started spewing water out into my garage, driveway, and into the street. I called Lowes, whom I purchased the water heater in Jan 2011, in which it was still under warranty. I was told to call (Whirlpool) 877 817 6750, the order was placed for a gas shut out valve after going through a check system. I was then given the names of two local preferred technicians to repair water heater, whom was not available. The representative from Whirlpool (American water heater) told me I can get the plumber of my choice, authorization number was given. I had to call the (Whirlpool) (American Water Heater) back and was told the part was ordered 2 times. The first part will come on Dec 19, 2015 by UPS, and that the second part will come on Dec 21 by UPS, that a prepackaged label for return will be attached, and to tape the 2 boxes together to send back to the company--one box with the old part, and one box with the new. So, I sent the boxes to an address in Junction City, Tn. But I was not sent prepaid label, so I kept by word and spent $14. I will not be reimbursed according to American Water in which I followed their directions to a tee. So the walk away, the customer is always wrong, staff is not being trained the right way, and as a customer I am out of money and making adjustments to the way of customer service. No service. Just a waste of time, effort, and money.

I bought a refrigerator from Lowe’s and the refrigerator had a lot of manufacturing defects. I called Whirlpool and 3 techs were sent to my house. After the last tech, Whirlpool decided to exchange the refrigerator. Since then, Whirlpool has been playing games with me.

We have recently retired and moved into a smaller home. The kitchen needed to be furnished with all of the normal appliances. We bought two Whirlpool products, a refrigerator and trash compactor. Since we are living on a fixed budget, I was hoping that the furnishings that were bought would last as long as our past appliances did. However, our brand new refrigerator after two and a half years needed to have a new light installed. We called Whirlpool and set up for a repair. The repair was $290.00. We paid the repair man working for Whirlpool, then called Whirlpool and asked if there was anything they could do to help with the cost. They suggested that we buy a protection plan. Both of the refrigerators we have owned during the past fifty years lasted twenty plus years. This one only went two and a half before having to be serviced.Whirlpools answer to my request of helping out with this $290 service call was Sorry, you should have bought a service plan. I wish I would have gone with either of the same brands that we had in the past. Those being, Sears and Sub-Zero. I would suggest that those of you who are contemplating buying a kitchen appliance, choose a company that has a product that will go more than two and a half years without having to be serviced. Neither of the other refrigerators that we had ever had to be serviced. They stayed with the houses we sold.

We purchase a Whirlpool duet washing machine 4.5 years ago. Just recently the bearing went on the machine. Took the machine apart to fix and was originally told new parts will be delivered free of charge since this is a common occurrence. 5 weeks later and several phone calls, we were told the part is on back order and they do not make it anymore. Then they send an email to keep us as customers for 15% off. Ridiculous. How do you go from getting parts for free since it is a frequent occurrence to not having the parts at all and getting 15% off for a new product? Why would I want to stay with these false claims? Talk about a slap in the face!

After 12 months (warranty) the bearings had to be replaced, $300. 12 months later bearings needed replaced again for another $300... was told by the repairman not to waste my money. This would happen again in another 12 months. This is a issue with these washers. Opted to get something else. Very unhappy to only get a couple of years out of this machine. I have also had to wash some loads twice to get clean... unacceptable performance!!! Contacted Lowes & Whirlpool to no avail of course. Never again!!

Purchased this Whirlpool refrigerator WRT771REYM at Home Depot in June 2014. Within a few months of purchase, had to call for a repair tech because the water line had frozen. Tech unfroze it and told us not to block the air vents to avoid this happening again. The amount of care we have to take to load this fridge so as not to have the water line freeze is ridiculous. Its very picky. For a while, we were still having to unfreeze the line every couple of months. Then it became more and more frequent, to the point where we cant keep it unfrozen for more than a few hours. This seems like shoddy design to me. And of course, the warranty is expired so I am out of luck unless I want to pay for repairs out of pocket.Adding insult to injury, Whirlpool claims that this isnt a common issue. Not true - there are numerous reviews about this very issue on Amazon, Sears, Home Depot, etc. Just try googling the model #. Sad that Whirlpool does not stand behind its products. Yet another American company to stop building quality and rely on planned obsolescence to ensure revenue generation.

I bought my Whirlpool Duet set with pedestal in February 2008. I just had a tech here to figure out why my machine is so loud during agitation and that I cant hear anything else. He said its the drum hitting something. I never overload my machine - just normal use for 4 years. It costs more to repair the machine than to buy a new one. Now, after seeing this information, Im not the only one who has this problem with my Whirlpool washer. I am disappointed that there isnt anything else the Whirlpool company tech can do for me - just a receipt that shows the parts alone cost $600.00. Now, I have to pay about $50.00 just to get rid of what from the outside looks like a perfectly good machine.

My son purchased the Whirlpool 2 door w/ icemaker about 3 years ago. Twice weve had a repairman here. Yesterday was the 2nd one. He tried 3 ways to get liquid to go through a round coil I could see at the back. He said the problem was between the two back panels (back of fridge & inside wall) where there was a tubing to release the water from defrost cycle. It appears to be a manufacturing problem. I am very upset! It should be replaced at the very least.

I have called Whirlpool six times to request a replacement for a broken deli drawer in my refrigerator. I was told to throw everything away from the unit, since the whole assembly would come complete in the mail. First call: Ordered the replacement: what came was a glass shelf without a drawer or gliders and hardware. Second call: requested the drawer and remaining parts. Third call: only received the plastic drawer without any means of installing it. Fourth call: received only one side glider, again without hardware to install. Fifth call: requested a supervisor (Kimberly) who took the order for the remaining glider and all hardware. Received second glider and (1) screw when two are needed.Sixth call: asked rep Brigitte for a supervisor and was not connected. Given the run around and told that the rep spoke with a supervisor for me and would send out a repairman to assemble the unit. I just need the missing screw. I have spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get what I need from Whirlpool and do not have time to wait for a service repairman to come out. I just cannot fathom how that many calls - with me being patient and calm - cannot produce the required items. Horrible.

Love my new fridge, not in love with the icemaker though. Every couple of days I have to reach in and scoop the ice off the little shelf in the back, or else it will quit making ice. The ice cubes block the arm from coming back down to trigger a refill.

We have a Cabrio washer and dryer. The Washer has had problems since year one. We have just gone through service with Sears to fix a rusted out hinge on the lid. The tech broke the lid trying to drill out the rusted screws. He ordered a new lid and six weeks and one day later came to put the lid on. This was terrible. We were rescheduled two times for our appointment. Today the washer will not start on the cycle when you press the start button. We will never buy another Whirlpool product and not Maytag if what I read is true. Probably will be six more weeks to get this resolved.

Recently bought and had a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (from Orvilles appliances) installed in my home. The very first day I hated it. Worst purchase I have ever made. I spent over an hour picking hair out of my clothes, and hair was also stuck in the crevices of the drum. This is the very worst machine and company I ever had to deal with. They told me, Too bad. Since there was no mechanical problem there is nothing they will do. I will never deal with either of these companies again. I cant wait to see what the hair build up will do to the machine itself, Had it less than a week.

I paid for an extended warranty. Dishwasher not functioning properly- it stops mid-cycle. Had a tech out twice who insisted nothing was wrong. Extended Warranty customer service refused to honor my claim. Will never buy another Whirlpool product again. And buy an extended warranty! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Our Whirlpool refrigerator breaks down after two weeks of purchase. I purchased a Whirlpool fridge for my son and his wife as a house and new baby gift. Just two weeks later, the fridge was not cooling and seemed to not be working. The technician was called, and he confirmed that the fridge was not working. We called the shop where the fridge was purchased from and advised they would not refund or replace the fridge.We are now forced to wait for a replacement part that could take up to 2 months to arrive. And there is no guarantee this problem will not reoccur with a new part, as per the technician. I called Whirlpool and lodged a complaint, but that went on deaf and ignorant ears. I am told to call the service repairer. I am sure there is a law to protect Australian consumers.I paid nearly $1,000 for a fridge that is useless! I would like Whirlpool to contact me, and tell me why they shouldnt be accountable for their product. I would like to return the faulty fridge, accept a refund and buy another fridge. My family are living out of an Esky, and this is a ridiculous way to refrigerate food stuff for adults and children in the heat of northern Australia. Whirlpool, I am waiting for your call.

Do not buy a Whirlpool refrigerator. This is the 3rd time I have to call in repair for the ice maker in 4 years. Water poured out on my floor for the 3rd time ruining my floors. Called Whirlpool and said there is nothing they can do to help me. They don’t care about their Customers! I could have bought a new one by now based on repair costs. They don’t back their products. Bought Sep. 2012. April 2016 stopped cooling. Four visits over 4 weeks, various parts replaced, coolant refilled. Stopped cooling again soon after first 3 visits. After 4th visit cooled moderately (42 degrees) for 5 weeks. June 24, renewed service contract for 1 year for $112. July 12, stopped cooling! Took 8 days for service person to arrive; 5 days for him to tell Whirlpool that repair needed 5 parts, one of which is no longer made! But they sold me a service contract?? 16 days after initial call, Whirlpool says my case is in adjudication, which will take 7-10 business days. So I wont know what they are offering till Aug. 8th-11th. Four weeks living out of a cooler. The product is rotten, and the service is worse.Just recently discovered that all this time when I thought I was talking to Whirlpool, it was actually sub-contracted to AIG. Yes, the AIG that needed a massive government bail-out. Whirlpool customer service refused to talk to me; referred me back to AIG. The only other all-refrigerator (no freezer - I have a 20-year-old Sears freezer in the kitchen that works just fine) I can find is an inch too tall for the space. But I plan to spend for my handyman to raise the cupboard floor above, rather than buy another Whirlpool! Most of May, four weeks in July/Aug without a fridge. Hours on hold. The first service firm they used was incompetent, couldnt find the cause. I wonder how much of my $1,353 purchase cost, and my $112 service contract theyll refund?

I have been extremely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine!!! I tried to take it back and Lowes would not let me return it because I had had it for 6 months. It doesnt put enough water in the machine to get all of the clothes wet. It doesnt get the clothes clean and it leaves some kind of lint residue all over dark clothes. I am only able to put in 1/4 of the clothes I put in my Maytag washer which I loved, but it wore out. I am also short and it is so deep I have to use a stool to get up on to reach into so i can reach the bottom of the machine. Even though it is a huge tub, I can only put a few pieces of clothes in it to get it to clean the clothes. It is a very poor design and needs to be recalled!

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio, top load washing machine WTW6600SW back in 11/07. Last week (todays date is 8/19/11), the machine sounded like a plane taking off when it spins out. When the local service technician came out this week, he said that the bearings are shot. Since the tub and bearings are all one part, we were told by the technician that the part and labor costs would be $379.99 to repair it. We originally paid $799.00 for the Cabrio, less than four years ago. Whirlpool would not even give us a concession of a new tub and bearing part as it was out of the 1 year warranty.

This has been our second Whirlpool Hot Water Tank in our home in the past 14 years. The first was installed by the builder, when it went out we purchased a larger capacity one from Lowes. It was professionally installed and now, after the extended warranty coverage period is expired, its expired as well. I would think you should be able to get more than 7 years out of not one, but two Whirlpool hot water tanks. No wonder they are no longer manufacturing hot water tanks - they sucked at it. Also, if you do have one, you have to get parts from Whirlpool and pay $30 shipping. No thanks, for the cost of parts to replace everything youre better off getting a whole new unit.

I bought a Whirlpool washer and after a few months it started acting up when spinning. I contacted your so called customer service and they gave me the runaround. Told me I wasnt loading it right. Im 60, I know how to load a washer. Well it got worse and worse and finally went kaput. Its going to cost over $100 to fix the springs and I was told it was your lemon and all that brand was bad. I will never buy another Whirlpool product because you wont stand behind them....

Like the load sensor feature the best, so economical, the drum is oversized to wash duvets and heavy blankets. The fact that the washer and dryer are stackable makes them ideal for apartment living.

We purchased a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator in December 2012. It is model # WRF989BAM, a French door style with the freezer in the bottom. We have had problems with this refrigerator since a few days after it arrived. The first occurrence was when we arrived home one evening to find water all over the floor, and food thawing out inside the freezer. Everything had to be thrown out or placed in a different refrigerator. I have no idea what that repairman did, but luckily that issue hasnt happened since. Something about the temperature controls. We have also had frost on the back inside panel, and it leaks inside the refrigerator constantly, so bad that we have to keep a large bowl inside to collect the water, and it has to be emptied two or three times a day. We have had two repairmen out to look at that. The first one installed a new filter, which seemed to fix the problem...for about a month until it started leaking again. They tell us these filters must be replaced every 3-6 months...interesting as it says on the refrigerator every 6 months. Regardless, we cant get a filter, or any other parts that the repairmen think it might need because parts take months to arrive. We bought this refrigerator under the recommendation of a technician who came out to repair the refrigerator we were replacing. Buy American he said. They last longer and the parts are easy to get. What a joke!

We have all Whirlpool appliances in our home as well as our rental property. All of the appliances are of great quality and perform extremely well. The dishwashers are both heavy duty and do a tremendous job of cleaning the dishes. Both have a jet dry feature which is extremely important to us.

Whirlpool fridge with serial # EL2427127 started on fire. Flame started on own but filled entire basement with electrical fire smoke. All terminals on compressor completely melted off. After researching online, I see Im not the first. Unbelievable.

On November 1, 2011, I purchased the Whirlpool Estate washer (model # ETW4400XQ) from Wholesale Appliance in Charleston, SC. The first time I used it I knew something wasnt right when both the regular and so-called gentle cycle agitated at an incredibly fast speed. It is damaging my clothes. I called the dealer and they sent out a service person. He said that was just the way it was and he couldnt do anything. So, I keep trying to use the gentle cycle, but it was the same thing. I would have to stand by the machine and stop it after a couple of minutes so it wouldnt ruin the clothes. The more I thought about it, I decided that the repairman wasnt right. I called Whirlpool customer service and they sent a different repair service. He also said that he couldnt do anything to make it slow down as it was programmed by a computer inside and he could not change it. I went to the dealer, Wholesale Appliances, and they said there was nothing they could do as far as giving me a refund or a discount on a better machine. The setting on the washer clearly says gentle cycle.” Well, the whole world knows that does not mean beat the clothes to death as fast as possible. Can you make any suggestions? Thanks.

I just bought a new home, and it came with what was described as top of the line Whirlpool appliances. The Cabrio toploading washer worked for two loads then just stopped. After arguing with Customer Service for a while (They insisted this must be an installation error.), I talked with the builders. They gave me a different customer service number. My second call got me a repair appointment, during which the repairman discovered that the pump was in fact dead. Because this is a new model, they didnt have a replacement on hand. So, I will have to wait an additional week and a half before the part is installed. This is a product that retails for around $1000, and it lasted less than one day. My last washer cost $400 and was still running fine when I sold it after 10 years. I can already see the handwriting on the wall. After my warranty is up, I will have to replace this hunk of junk with something that has some reliability.

I bought model #W4TXNWFWQ at Lowes in February 2013. It had a one-year warranty. Five months after the warranty expired, the defrost timer went out. It cost $100 to fix the $400 refrigerator. Planned obsolescence or coincidence? Either way, its poor quality.

I have a model ED20PK. The doors are rusting on the outside.This refrigerator was purchased by my husband who has passed, I do not have the receipt and I dont know where he purchased it. The refrigerator worked perfect. It has been in my kitchen from day of purchase. My home is adequately heated in winter and air conditioned in the summer. I have an up-scale home. I dont see any reason to replace the refrigerator, but I cannot stand the deteriorating condition of the doors.If I replace it, I will not buy a Whirlpool or any brand made by Whirlpool.The rust is not just a discoloration, it is actually rough to the touch and is getting worse day by day. We bought a Whirlpool model WFW5620HW front-load washer at Lowes. The unit shook so violently during part of the spin cycle that the Whirlpool-authorized service company technician said not to use it while parts were ordered. It seems the balance ring was not functioning. Parts ordered were shocks and tub assembly. The technician suggested trying to get a whole new unit, as the repair is so intensive he had only done one or two in his career.Whirlpool customer service said they would not replace the unit, and an escalated request had the same response. I think this is terrible customer service - when there is such intensive failure in the unit, they should provide a brand new machine. The work has not yet been done - we are without use of a washer for an unknown period of time, since the order of a tub assembly is so uncommon that they do not have a time estimate. Needless to say, we will never buy Whirlpool again, and suggest you do the same.

Ive had nothing but problems with the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine and dryer. The motherboard has been replaced three times, once on the dryer and twice on the washing machine. The inside of the washing machine is going to fall apart because of the rust at the bleach holder. I saw some of the complaints. Is there any way we (consumers) can sue Whirlpool for selling defective units? We are from all across America and there is no way we should all have the same complaint. We purchased a Whirlpool Countertop Microwave (model MT4155) at HHGregg on 6/02/2012. (This was a replacement for another oven that failed after a couple of years - NOT a Whirlpool.) On 6/04/2013, i.e., 2 days past the standard 1 yr warranty expiration, the oven went nuts. I was cooking a plateful of baked potatoes on the auto setting. When the potatoes were done, I opened the door to take them out and the oven started to run! WITH the door open! When I shut the door, it stopped. So the only way to get the oven to operate was to OPEN the door. I dont think this is a safe or effective practice. Knowing it was two days past the warranty, I called customer service anyway just to see what they would say. To my surprise, they (I talked to two different people) were VERY pleasant and accommodating, and offered to cover the cost of repairs and even set up an appointment for the authorized repair person, and then called to verify the appt. as well. Great! I was impressed!The repairman showed up as scheduled and seemed puzzled at first, but he dismantled the outside cabinet and determined the fault was in the door switch. He wasnt sure he had a replacement with him, but he did find one, put the new part in the oven, and re-assembled everything. We made sure it worked and he then left. Fast forward 5.5 months, when again I was cooking potatoes (boiled this time. Maybe the oven doesnt like potatoes!). I had the timer set for 20 minutes on 100%. I was out of the room when it quit cooking, but I think it ran for about 6 minutes and then just shut off and could not be persuaded to restart. The clock continued to count down, and all the other bells and whistles still functioned - it just wouldnt cook. Major hassle. The following day, I was looking at it, messing around to see if I could figure out what was wrong, and discovered that if I pushed on the door latch just a little, the oven would run. Well, thats a nifty workaround, as long as you arent doing any more than briefly reheating something, but not so great if you are actually trying to cook something. I continued to do this for the next few days and then suddenly one night it reverted to the first bad behavior - only running when the door was open. I was able to get that to stop, but the following day, it refused to work at all and it is now sitting here uselessly, just a little over 1.5 years old. I want to go buy another oven (and YES - a different brand!) - my SO wants to repair this one, again. After reading the experiences of others on this site, I REALLY cant see the point in repairing esp not if I have to pay this time (which I probably will), and also when it seems to be a faulty part/design causing this problem. I dont have the time or patience to deal with an unreliable appliance, esp one that I use often. I have not tried to call customer service yet, but Im not expecting great things, not this time. Planned obsolescence? Sure makes me wonder.

Whirlpool Cabrio Purchased 12-7-2012 - what a piece of junk. Does not get clothes clean, rarely does she even spin out properly. Called because it kept walking across the basement floor. Informed that was the owners responsibility, not the store (Feidens in Latham). Always had good luck with them, bought all my appliances from them. Now I heard a loud bang and she threw up - water everywhere. What a mess.Had purchased special patio block at Home Depot to even her out and every time I used it which was not too often, it acted like the space shuttle ready to head down the runway! Not too happy with Feidens attitude with regard to this purchase. Not going to call them to fix it. Not an ready to pay to listen to their guff again. Expensive machine never worked well since it got here. I always wished for a Whirlpool, be careful what you wish for! Junk, nothing but junk. Only 3 years old and I only do laundry about every 3 or 4 weeks. Live alone, so she certainly was not overworked.

I purchased a Cabrio top-loading high efficiency low water washer thinking I was doing something for the environment by saving on water and electricity. After about a month, I noticed that my clothes especially those with stretchable fabric were getting larger. My husband kept telling me I was imagining it. Then the clothes would get all tangled especially the pants with ties on the waistband. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are stuck on the sides of the washer and I have to pull them apart. Even after drying, I have to iron everything even my pillowcases which look like they have shrunk they are so wrinkled. I recently bought some 100% cotton outfits and they are even more wrinkled and are starting to lose their shape. I am now noticing that the stains on the clothing are not coming out even when I use a spot remover and put them through a second time.Now I started to notice an odor coming from the machine and my towels and wash clothes have a sour smell. I paid $600 for this machine and after reading the reviews, I just want to replace it. I am now waiting for it to break down. My husband kept insisting I must be doing something wrong. When it goes into the spin cycle, it bounces all around and I have to push it back in place when it is done. I do not think the clothes are getting rinsed enough so now I put them through a second rinse and always put it on low spin. It doesnt see to matter, it sounds like a rocket ready to take off. Is it even worth it to go back to Lowes where I buy all my appliances?

Purchased a Maytag refrigerator in 2009. Was told Whirlpool bought out Maytag, never had a problem with it ever! Speed up to 2012. Purchased another refrigerator this time a whirlpool. HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH IT! This is the 3rd or 4th time the veggie/fruit drawer POS plastic track has broken. I purchased the extended warranty after a year and in addition to the above, had a new ice maker replaced, and a part in the freezer as the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called them to replace the drawer plastic track again and they say that its a cosmetic problem and they wont cover it. Are you kidding me??? It holds the drawers in for crying out loud! Also told the repairman that the ice gets clogged in the dispenser and either 1) melts all over the place or 2) comes pouring out when you open the doors. He tells me that its best to just use the ice cubes and not the crushed. Again... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Thats why I paid so damn much money for this one as I wanted crushed ice! There should be a recall on this appliance. Repairman says all the models with the icemaker on the left side have problems with freezing and when inquired about my lettuce freezing and getting wilted or brown, he says that the humidity buttons are really only for looks and dont have a purpose!!! Believe you me... I will be sharing this on social media of all types to get this resolved. WHIRLPOOL BIGWIGS LISTEN UP! YOUR PRODUCT STINKS!!! Since we were gone on Friday when the call came in that they called it cosmetic on the drawers you bet Ill be giving these extended warranty people a call too tomorrow! Also dont say we have too much in our drawers because theres barely anything in them at all times. Its just used by 2 retirees!

I liked Whirlpool brand. I was excited about the convection option and the warming burner. Plus it was on sale. I really like the AquaLift self-cleaning option but guess what? It does not work well. It is very frustrating!!! I would not recommend buying a Whirlpool oven/range. Low quality construction, features that work poorly, and poor online reviews. Another deal breaker would be poor customer service and repair service. Over, the Whirlpool oven/range is fair. The electric glass top does a good job cooking but keeping the glass top clean is nearly impossible. The oven does a good job baking BUT, the AquaLift self-cleaning does not work. I would recommend that consumers pass on the Whirlpool.

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher that is under warranty. The dishwasher failed and Whirlpool service gave me a written report acknowledging their part had failed. It caused $20,000 worth of documented damage. Their adjuster came out after waiting for one month. I have a claim with them and no one contacts me. For a few weeks I was dealing with their legal dept and they said they were going to turn it over to the company that made the defect part. To which I advised them Whirlpool did the damage, I will deal only with them. Since then their legal dept has not answered one email. Whirlpool is trying to put the damage on another company rather than themselves. I have heard from NO ONE. I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and their tech and their adjuster confirm the damage. Now here I sit one month later, cabinets destroyed, floor destroyed and garage ceiling as well as kitchen walls destroyed and at one point Whirlpool says maybe you should put it through your homeowners, they would pay you faster. I purchased a Whirlpool classic range model number rf263LXTS0 on January 2010. We had some hang-ups on the kitchen renovation and were not able to install the appliances until May of 2011.I used the cooktop that evening and was very pleased. I then went to use the oven 2 weeks later and it did not heat up. I asked the contractor to check things out (maybe it was something minor that he could fix). He checked the things that he installed and everything on his end was working fine, so he told me to call Whirlpool.A service technician came out and, within 10 minutes, said that the oven controls were defective.I paid $450.00 for the oven originally. The service technician charged me $136.74 for 10 minutes to tell me that the oven control needed to be replaced (that is the major part of the oven) and that it would cost me $318.41 to replace the part.I called Whirlpool and explained my circumstance and Paula, the supervisor from Tennessee, said that there was nothing she could do. I told her that even if I installed the oven back in January of 2010, the major part of the oven should last more than 1 and 1/2 years.What terrible craftsmanship and crappy customer service. It is sad that customer service cant stand by their product and Whirlpool has to rely on making their money on repairing defectives products. I now have to go out and buy a new oven. I also buy a lot of appliances in my business and I will never buy a Whirlpool again.

We have had our Whirlpool Cabrio washer for quite a few years. I agree that the machine is a piece of garbage. Every load is unbalanced. You have to stand there when the spin cycle starts, with your finger on the pause button, so you can rebalance the load, which is no easy task. My 80 minute whitest whites cycle took 2 1/2 hours to complete. Thank goodness I started the load at 5:30am. I hate this washer and anytime I am in an appliance store and see someone looking at it, I inform them it is a piece of junk. I havent contacted Whirlpool because I know they wont help with any issues were having.

Our Whirlpool Duet Washer pair is 2.5 yrs old. The washer didnt work at first, but a repairman found the problem and fixed it right up. They have not broken. The dryer has been fine and we have had them stacked for most of the time without any issues. My problem sounds minor compared to those others listed here, but this thing is ruining all our white or light colored clothes. They go in white, and come out covered with splotchy, dirty looking spots literally all over them! They werent that kind of dirty when they went in. It’s the oddest thing, like it makes dirt. Reading some of these concerns makes me wonder if it has a mold problem inside somewhere, and that is what is ruining our clothes. Tax return is coming and it is going. End of story.

Bought an HE top loading washer 4/19/19. Oil leaking on floor from washer. Today, 2/12/20, while still under one year warranty, had transmission replaced. We have always purchased Whirlpool appliances. Not sure if we will in the future.

On October 29, 2009, we bought a new Whirlpool 30 gallon gas hot water heater to replace a Rheem we had for 20 years. We immediately had problems with the relief valve leaking, so we ran at the local hardware store and bought another valve. Next, we had trouble lighting it (husband was a plumber years ago) but a call to the hotline and we were in business. Now just over 3 years later, the pilot light started to cut off at will. Troubleshooting solved nothing. We called the hotline again and were given a part number, an authorization number and told to go back to Lowes for a replacement part. Figuring how our luck runs, I called first and was told there was no such part number. Trip saved. Now after reading all of these reviews, we have decided to cut our losses and buy another Rheem. You can find the Whirlpool hot water heater sitting beside our 2-year-old Kenmore HE washing machine (also made by Whirlpool) on the garbage pile. No more Whirlpool!

My wife and I purchased a Cabrio washing machine and dryer, this is by far the worst washing machine we’ve ever owned. It hardly fills, even in deep water cycle. If you watch the clothes through the smoked glass lid with a flashlight, you can see they don’t even go underwater. The dryer seems to be fine but I would never recommend the washing machine to anybody looking to buy one.

Whirlpool anode rod went bad in 2 months. Called Whirlpool, would not stand behind warranty. Had previous hot water tank (not a Whirlpool) in for 10 years with same well and water conditions. Also noticed Whirlpool hot water tank is not nearly as efficient on energy use. Overall, this is a very poor water heater and even worse customer service to not replace a part that was under warranty.

This oven/range (W10665261B) has a cleaning feature that DOES NOT WORK! Do not buy unless you want to hand scrub the oven without any cleaning products. No one at the company cares. I will discard the oven.

I cant begin to tell you what a pile of crap my Whirlpool range with Aqua Lift cleaning is! We purchased it brand-new and it is the slowest oven on the planet! If I want to cook a pizza I have to call home 30 minutes in advance so the oven will be 1/2 heated up. The Aqua Lift has never worked and the company has the most abhorrent customer DIS-service Ive ever had the misfortune to deal with! I hope these scumbags go bankrupt!!! AVOID anything Whirlpool! There is a class-action suit in the U.S. over what a slime bag bunch of crooks they are and how their Aqua Lift technology has NEVER worked!!

We purchased a Whirlpool French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator on July 14, 2014. Price $2,139.99. We chose Whirlpool because they have always manufactured and stood behind their products. Hah! After calling Whirlpool service center they set up an appointment for a service call. The repairman came out said it was the refrigerator fan motor and another piece. He tried to order both but was told the parts would have to come from Lakeland, Florida and it would take about 5 days or so to receive them. We called Whirlpool. After being on the phone forever they finally said they would overnight the part to our home address then we should call the repairman to make a return visit. We received the parts last Thursday, called the repairman and he couldnt make it out here until today. When he got here and started to replace the part he discovered Whirlpool had sent the wrong fan motor. He called Whirlpool and they said the part was on back order and it would be shipped in 5 plus days or so. Both my husband and I talked with Whirlpool and the only thing they were willing to do is if they find the part they will ship it overnight then we would have to call the repairman and schedule another service call. They did say if we found the part they would reimburse us for the part. They wouldnt talk with us about replacing the fridge, etc. I will be out of a refrigerator for what looks like 2 plus weeks and this is not acceptable service from a company like Whirlpool. Pretty much everything in our fridge has gone bad. Whirlpool is not even willing to compensate us for our loss of food. They said all they could was offer us a 6 month extended warranty. We are completely unhappy with their service or rather lack thereof.

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet front-loading washing machine on September 27, 2010. By October of 2011, it was making a loud grinding noise during any spin cycle. I called for service and was told I needed new bearings which entailed rebuilding the machine. I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty. I was originally told by the warranty company they would replace the machine.After waiting two months, and after several contacts made by me to the retailers customer service, I was told the machine would not be replaced, but repaired. After the repair, on January 6, 2012, the machine now rattles and shakes so much during the final spin cycles. It is literally impossible to have a conversation with someone standing next to you in the same vicinity as the washer, it is that loud. I am sorely disappointed with the Whirlpool line of products and with the retailer who has been dragging their feet on customer satisfaction.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater not even 3 years ago, and I am already replacing parts; thermostat,thermocouple, and as of yet, no fix. We contacted Whirlpool, and they said that everything has been tried, and if the thermocouple doesnt fix it, well have to hire a plumber at our expense. Its kinda ridiculous. The water heater that we replaced, had been in the home for almost 17 years.This one didnt even make it to 4.

Add us to the list of those whose Whirlpool Cabrio washer has failed. First, it was the infamous circuit board at a cost of $475 installed. Now, the tub bearing is apparently beginning to fail given the machines new propensity to roar like a freight train during the spin cycle. A letter to Whirlpool resulted the too bad ** letter that everyone else has gotten. This really should be a class action suit money-maker for some attorney. So now the question: Throw good money after bad hoping to get an additional couple of years out of it or bite the bullet and buy some reliable brand?Never again a Whirlpool, thats for sure. I pointed out to them that in the age of the internet, they wont go unpunished for this but theyre nothing if not shortsighted. An $800 machine requiring $475 worth of repairs and apparently soon to need another $500 worth of repairs. Whats wrong with this picture?

We brought this in Jun 2015, within 1 weeks it developed its problems. Ive had service men out 10 times for ice buildup on the freezer side, and the refrigerator side not cold even on max setting, and the problem hasnt been solved yet.

We have had our Whirlpool range for probably 20 years. We have never had any issues or problems with it. Our washer and dryer are both Whirlpool too. I would recommend this brand 100%! I think this is the brand that my mom always had too. Their products are very well made and last forever (it seems like they do!).

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer. It was great for almost year. After that it has been nothing but trouble. The body of the washer has rust coming through the paint and large areas that is so rusted that the paint has chipped off completely. A washer is expected to deal with water and not rust through the body. I have a 10-year old Ford truck without a speck of rust. Dont they undercoat? The circuit board has had to be replaced because of rust. I have to take several Q-tips and go under the cover to remove all the rust if I dont it gets rust stains on my clothes, which is impossible to remove. The customer service is non existent. They have left me on the line for over 40 minutes. I hang on only because it would be another hour or so of my time to get someone to answer. I was without a washer for a month while waiting for parts. Why dont they have parts for their products? I had to slop my way too dirty laundry mats 3 times a week as I do 2 to 3 loads a day.My washer is downstairs and stops and gives me the unbalanced message even when its not, running up and down the stairs several times to complete one load. I also get the F51 message for no perceivable reason. The extra rinse button only works 1/2 the time. This was an expensive washer ($1,000.00) and I feel that I deserve my money back. They are knowingly making an inferior product.

I bought Whirlpool Dishwasher from Lowes. This is just 2 years old. Model number is WDTA50SAHZ. This is gently used Dishwasher. Suddenly it stopped working. After water fill up, dishwaher is not working. I thought whirlpool is superb brand. Now its waste brand. Do not buy whirlpool dishwasher.

The door can be slightly open on the model GSC25C4EYY02, and the alarm will not register. Ive come home on too many occasions to find the food no longer at a desirable temperature. Im very bummed about this refrigerator choice. The refrigerator door open alarm is useless.

I purchased my Cabrio washer from Lowes 4 years ago. I noticed the smell and researched issues online. Suggested using the cleaners made for tubs. Im tired of the smell. I had repairman tear apart the washer. He told me they put water in the tub for balancing. Really... the tub is made of plastic. Will never buy anything Whirlpool again.

Refrigerator is only 4 years old and must be defrosted every 2 or 3 weeks as a thick sheet of ice forms in the bottom of the freezer. Also the appliance frequently emits loud cracking noises.

I had to purchase a new fridge quickly due to a power surge and this was the only one available with features I wanted. It is too small, but thats not the fridges fault. Has worked well and easy to clean. Simple white fridge that Id recommend. Not expensive and for the past year+ dependable.

I purchased my stove in June 2020. I had no idea it was to be connected to the internet, but no big deal. Had I known of all the other quirks I would have thought twice. 1: A red light comes on to tell you a burner is on but not which one. 2: A red light appears when a burner is hot but it doesnt show which one. 3: Only 3 burners out of 5 can be used for cooking the other 2 are warming and melting ONLY. 4: The stove updates its software whenever it feels like it and shuts off the oven and burners. 5: Periodically I have the oven on and it just turns itself off!6: The touch controls for the oven are in a bad spot because if you accidentally touch them when the oven is on the oven will shut off.Not sure if it has any serious problems just the inconveniences listed.

We purchased a Whirlpool unit Mod#WRF535SMBM from Home Depot in Bluffton, SC. Frost and ice build up in bottom freezer of our Whirlpool unit. We have had 4 service calls since our purchase of the unit in Dec 2014 (April, May, June and Sept) with one freezer door replacement due to a faulty door liner and soon to be a second freezer door replacement due to lack of insulation in the door, along with the door slides. Each service call visit is by a different service company. The other issue is the unit is advertised as S/S. This is the first time I have had a magnet stick to S/S so I figure that the outer shell is a mere coating of some sort and not a quality S/S product.

Thermal couple went out and nobody has one. You have to get it from whirlpool. This could be a easy fix with buying a $6.00 thermal couple but the one on mine has left handed threads. I took it to several parts places and they all said you have to buy it from whirlpool so you have to call the 1 800 number and they ask you how soon do you want it, 5 to 6 days to take a shower for $10 shipping, or $20 for 3 to 4 days without a shower or $32 for overnight? This ** should be free if they are the only ones that have it. I never heard of this crap before. The funny thing is they told me I should replace my water heater since the warranty is expired. Dont worry I will buy a new one someday and it will be anything but a whirlpool. I will never buy anything whirlpool again and make sure my family never buys whirlpool.

Whirlpool Cabrio platinum washer (JUNK. DO NOT BUY). As mentioned in other complaints, the Cabrio top loading washer is garbage. Sound during the spin cycle is VERY LOUD because of a bearing noise. The clothes dont even get clean, lint all over dark clothes. I am the only person in the household so the machine did not get used as much as a family would use it. DO NOT BUY THE CABRIO WASHERS.

We purchased a new home 6 weeks ago that was furnished with new Whirlpool appliances. The stove worked great however the oven never worked at any time. The appliance sales person advised that we had to go through Whirlpool for repair on a brand new appliance. To date we have had to stay home 2 days and the range is still not working and third service call is now scheduled. A call to Whirlpool ended with them advising that we do not qualify for a replacement range, even though it never worked. We have been without an oven for 6 weeks now which is totally unacceptable. I would never buy another Whirlpool product or recommend them based on this current experience. We paid for a new product that never worked and they will not replace it. Hopefully they can repair it on the third visit. Unfortunately I have lost faith in this product and this company.

I just bought a house that has one of these ranges, and it was getting the F2 message. I found the problem. There is NO ventilation behind the electronic control so when the oven heats up, the control board gets too hot and throws the F2 code. That would indicate a bad temp sensor or bad board, but really its the heat shield on the back. Ive removed the metal plate from behind the control panel and it works fine now. Im considering drilling some vent holes and adding some insulation behind the control.

Our range emits smoke and a toxic odor spontaneously when not in use. We feel it could be a potential fire hazard. We have had repair people and fire department out. We have contacted the manufacturer numerous times and they do not return our calls.

The machine was great and handled large amounts of laundry. It was very expensive but my wife was happy with its performance. A year and a half into owning it, the electrical code F70 comes up and it stopped working. When I checked online, I found it is a common problem. I contacted whirlpool customer service and they could not do anything. Spoke to the manager, Kiesha and she refused to help me even though I bought both the washer and dryer for a lot of money. Customer service is not a priority evidently. She denies that there is an on-going problem when both the internet and my service tech say differently.
