I purchased a Whirlpool French door refrigerator model # gx5fhdxvyo4 in June 2011. Four months ago, ice was forming on the bottom of the freezer. Repair person replaced a clogged plug leading to evaporation tray. Its March 2013 and repair person now has to replace evaporator motor part # W10128551. I contacted Whirlpool and was told the warranty has expired (one year). This repair will be around $175. How can I trust a Whirlpool product in the future?

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet front-loading washing machine on September 27, 2010. By October of 2011, it was making a loud grinding noise during any spin cycle. I called for service and was told I needed new bearings which entailed rebuilding the machine. I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty. I was originally told by the warranty company they would replace the machine.After waiting two months, and after several contacts made by me to the retailers customer service, I was told the machine would not be replaced, but repaired. After the repair, on January 6, 2012, the machine now rattles and shakes so much during the final spin cycles. It is literally impossible to have a conversation with someone standing next to you in the same vicinity as the washer, it is that loud. I am sorely disappointed with the Whirlpool line of products and with the retailer who has been dragging their feet on customer satisfaction.

I purchased Whirlpool only front load compact washer in June 2015 and lasted only a year before the door lock broke and getting F6 error that means mother board to be replaced. Whirlpool warranty department (AIG) did not bother to do a complete repair and offer buy out at a 75% of my purchase price. My five year warranty premium cost was not refunded. I do not recommend this model be purchased by anyone. Whirlpool washes its hands on the quality and reliability of its product in US and that is a shame! A service life the unit should be at least 9 years with affordable maintenance cost.

During the initial warranty the oven was not heating properly. Several service calls within the warranty issue was not resolved. Whirlpool extended the warranty another year as of this date and several service calls problem not resolved. When a tech comes out there is a diagnostic check that checks the temp for 10 min. Since the temp drops after 10 min they cannot detect problem. I asked for the tech to remain for the complete cooking period which they cannot do. I have wasted many meals and still have a oven that does not work.

Purchased Whirlpool washing machine two years ago but transformed into junk within two years. Fraud company only searching ways to loot the money of the innocent customers and manufacturing such appliances which greasing mentally.

I am old school & do not like the idea that I cannot open my machine without waiting until it slows to a stop before door will unlock. You do not know what level your water is unless opening door. You are not able to open door & see if you need more detergent. Water softener is the same -- do I need more/less, cant tell. But, the washer performs well & clothes are clean, even dirty jeans/work clothes.

We had the refrigerator delivered in March, 2013. We noticed a leak in February 2014, only because we smelled a musty smell in our garage, and removed the rug outside the door, from the garage to the kitchen. Then we started noticing water in the garage. It was shortly after we determined it was the refrigerator. We bought this at Lowes and they use A&E, and they did not show up for the first appt. They did replace the pan a few days later while we had to replace dry wall behind the fridge. This time around (month later) we noticed the fridge/freezer was not cooling. So A&E came out and determined its the compressor. So now we threw out hundreds of dollars of groceries, and water was leaking all over the floor again from ice thawing. I believe the refrigerator has had problems all along. We have had it for one year. I think we should be reimbursed for the compressor! Thats the least Whirlpool can do after losing so much food and money spent on the wall, and all the water mess etc. I will never buy Whirlpool again, and I will never purchase from Lowes again. We always bought at Lowes, but this was a bad experience, and I get told one thing on the phone with reps and another by A&E.

We have owned Whirlpool Oven/Range for 3 years, and about 4 times a year, on oven setting over 400 degrees, we get an error message, beeping, and the oven needs to be reset. We also own other Whirpool appliances, and caveat emptor. Buy another brand, please.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washing and dryer in 2011. I have replaced the lid on the washer 3 times. It comes apart in the back of the lid and it will not lock in place so it will perform. I have called the manufacturer several times. They have not been of help as to why this happened. Im upset. They have no suggestions. I have owned Whirlpool appliances for years and this is the 1st time this has happened with no resolution. I just want it fix or explain why its happening.

Whirlpool Gold Microwave Hood Combo GH5184XPS4 purchased new on 12/2009. The plastic vent cracked where clip attached by factory installed screw. The vent fell off microwave on 10/2011. I spoke with Whirlpool customer service. It is out of warranty and recommended to buy new vent part ($40.00). The new vent broke once again on 12/2011, clip attachment location. Now, the plastic door handle is cracking. The customer service is sorry and recommends to buy replacement parts as long as they remain available. There are many reports of similar instances noted online. I live in a newly constructed condominium where multiple owners have had the same problems with their Whirlpool Gold Microwave Hood Combo GH5184XPS4.

Whirlpool corporation is one of the worst company Im dealing with, we bought a new home and had new Whirlpool appliance incorrectly installed in Sept 2018, I raised a ticket in Oct 2018 for my dishwasher which doesnt open properly, flamingo services in Atlanta came and unplugged dishwasher saying its not installed properly. I wait for more than 30 days for parts to arrive and my dishwasher to be fixed. Called Whirlpool/Flamingo. Both dont give confirmation as to when the parts will arrive (note they havent been shipped by distributor). Wow seriously??? Please Im already facing inconvenience since more than month on a brand New appliance. They say no compensation no replacement. Only I will have to wait indefinite time for dishwasher to be shipped and repaired. So much of inconvenience and customer service says she will not call me back and I will have to follow up? This product deserves ZERO stars! I purchased a Cabrio washer - dryer in October, 2013. I have carefully followed the instructions for the washer. I am hugely distressed about the large amount of money I spent on a washer that is absolutely terrible, horrible, awful., no words can adequately express how bad this so-called washer is. The low-water washing has torn up all of my new towels in the matter of a couple of washes. It has completely ripped out the hems of the towels and pulled long ragged strings in the towel. And these were not cheap towels. I am mad at myself for not researching better before buying. I hope my complaint can save another consumer from the misery I am suffering because of this shameful product.

I am so disappointed, angry and tired! Unfortunately, I listened to the salesperson regarding this feature and bought it hook, line and sinker! The Aqualift self clean system is a joke! It only cleans the bottom of the oven and that is after you mop up the water left in the bottom and scrub it. No amount of scrubbing even touches the sides, back or window, even after using the Aqualift feature 3 times! I spent hundreds of dollars only to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing to no avail. I have not seen 1 good review regarding this system. Shame on me for believing a salesperson and shame on me for not researching first. I will not make this mistake again!

I had to replace the original Whirlpool microwave I bought with my new house after three years. I was told it must have been a fluke and a replacement would last ten years. I bit and found the next one also broke three years later. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance for as long as I live. They sell garbage quality. I bought GE Profile instead and am very happy with it.

Bought brand new stove, had issues from day 1, called them after TWO different repair companies came looked at it and said it was a melon, Whirlpool wanted to send a third repair company. Started dealing with this in September, its now end of December and Im still waiting for replacement stove.

We have owned refrigerators for over 40 years. Never had one as bad as this. Three ice maker replacements lasting maybe from 6 months to 2 years. Cap that off with customer service people who by voice and tone could not give a rats ** about helping the customer. Today it took me from 3:10 pm to 5:30 pm to get a real person on the phone. When I did the attitude is so reminiscent of a fast food hamburger joint with arches. Yes they know the refrig and ice maker are and have been a problem but they don’t care cause we have no option. Whirlpool will NEVER SEE ANOTHER penny of my money. Time to look at real appliance makers. Horrible.

My oven had been temperamental since day one, then got worse over time. I do not use my oven that much so was not really worried or alarmed until a tray of cookies caught fire. It was set at 350 and jumped to 525 on its own. (I bought an oven thermometer to monitor) Minor burn taking tray out but all okay :-). Contacted Lowe’s where we bought it and they would do nothing (note: at this point the oven is 15-months old and out of warranty). Advised me to contact Whirlpool. Did that - they sent out a repair service and they determined it was the temp. sensor. It is now April 2014 and I am still waiting for the part (this all started Sept 2013). I have since talked and wrote to Whirlpool for this to be resolved and also asked that the range be recalled due to fire hazard at the least! When I spoke to them in December, they said they could give me ‘50% off the part’. Remember I am still waiting for that part, lol! After writing corp h/q, they said “Sorry, since we cant get the part why not have someone come in and take the old part out and have it rebuilt.” I ask you Whirlpool w/q would you be happy with that??? I purchased a Whirlpool Ref side by side 11-2013. I have had nothing but trouble. First the Ice maker leaked, was fixed. The door to the ref has had serviced 5 times. The tech after many times trying to fix hinge on door twice was told to order new door. This took 6-8 week to get. Came today 5-27-15 too but new door on. It is still not right, has big gap in the middle - still not level as should be. I have called Customer Service again today with no help. All they want you to do is spend more money on a contract. I THOUGHT WHIRLPOOL WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOD PRODUCT......NOTTA....WILL NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN. SO IF YOU EVER BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT BE SURE TO GET EXTENDED WARRANTY. My refrigerator & dishwasher were purchased less than a year ago. Ive already had all the doors replaced on the fridge and the new ones are rusting. Discovered same issue with the dishwasher. The company doesnt seem to be overly concerned with remedying the issue. No sense of urgency or concern for the customer.

It was horrible! I paid $568 for a Whirlpool dishwasher from Lowes in 3/09. The Clean light flashed, then stopped and flashed again. I didnt buy an extended warranty, because I felt Whirlpool was a great company. I had A&E Factory Service come for a service call, paying $70 later w/ tax, only to find out that the heater is no longer working. It would cost $216 to fix it, and we had to remove the dishwasher. Why bother for the total of Todays service call and the repair, when I could buy a new dishwasher? It cost $568, and it lasted a little over 2 years! It was horrible. Theres no warranty and no help from Whirlpool, because I didnt buy a warranty. Guess, my dishes will air dry, and I might as well do them myself!

I bought a new house 2.5 years ago with all new whirlpool appliances. This week Im told the washer transmission is defective. Unbelievable! I only wash 4 average loads per week. This is a problem I would expect in 8-10 years. I am going to replace the unit with another brand.

We purchased both the Cabrio Whirlpool washer and dryer approx. 3 years ago, while still under the manufacturers warranty the lid cracked upper right corner. It was replaced and we were told by the repairman at that time this is becoming a common problem that he himself has seen this exact failure to several of these washers. Whirlpool needs to fix the problem. Shortly after this happened we receive in the mail the information for the extended warranty. Due to having this already happen, I phoned the extended warranty department for Whirlpool and specifically asked if this same thing happens again will it be covered under the extended warranty. My answer Yes.Well it happened again, called extended warranty provided them with a detailed description of what happened, they would send someone to replace, the service gentleman arrived today, called Whirlpool and they denied the claim. So they LIED. I instill honesty in my children and am proud to say I hold honesty as a high value. We were told it was cosmetic, the glass is buckled and the lid has to be held down to engage the lock mechanism of the lid. COSMETIC, this is a SAFETY concern. Where have our American values gone... Whirlpool used to have them back in the day... Shame on you Whirlpool.

I purchased this set in November 2013, it is now October 2014. I made the same mistake as many others have made (according to the reviews that I have read on this site). Because I have owned Whirlpool brand appliances before - including washers/dryers - I assumed this new HE machine set would be every bit as good + quality. Unfortunately, I did not do my homework!Everyone is right - this Cabrio HE washer/dryer combo is nothing more than expensive JUNK!. My complaints are all the same as everyone elses: the clothes do not get clean, soap residue remains on clothes, the clothes even have parts of the articles come out of the wash cycle dry not even having had the water touch the articles in areas! The dryer has been repaired once already for a dryer sensor problem & overheating, now both the washer & dryer are making some ridiculous hum-drum noises! Even with the extended warranty that I purchased, I can see the loop holes built into it; theyve got me over a barrel with the nonsense mumble-jumble tactics of having to qualify for adequate service repairs for replacement of parts (3x on each machine) they cant find, before even attempting to negotiate a buyout that will never happen. Never again, Whirlpool anything!!!

I bought a house with Whirlpool appliances and I bought the extended warranty for all the appliances, I started to have issues with the refrigerator almost 4 months ago and still waiting for results, do not buy whirlpool products, every time you call the warranty department be prepared to spend at least one hour waiting for a customer representative. Buy LG or GE instead. These are excellent brands that I have owned in the past.

Tried to do a small 2x3 bathroom rug and the spin was thrown off kilter. I have been doing laundry a long time and I know how to evenly distribute clothes etc so the washer should be able to handle it for the price I paid. The high end front loading Whirlpool set.

The washing machine started leaking and making a noise like a freight train 6 months after purchasing it. We complained in February 2011, but the parts were not available until March 31, 2011. The same problem occurred in September 2011, and we are still waiting for the parts until October 18, 2011. In the mean time, I have been spending hundreds of dollars doing wash at the laundromat.

My son purchased the Whirlpool 2 door w/ icemaker about 3 years ago. Twice weve had a repairman here. Yesterday was the 2nd one. He tried 3 ways to get liquid to go through a round coil I could see at the back. He said the problem was between the two back panels (back of fridge & inside wall) where there was a tubing to release the water from defrost cycle. It appears to be a manufacturing problem. I am very upset! It should be replaced at the very least.

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet June 2011. Within two weeks, it was tearing my clothes. It didnt matter how little of a load it was, they still ripped. Five months later, my machine was leaking water. The repair man came out. I told him it was also tearing my clothes. His only response was dont load it to full. Well, I called the store where I purchased it and they are sending a repair man out again. I told them to either fix this from ripping my clothes or I was going to take a hammer to the machine and never buy a Whirlpool again or give them a good reference. I also called Whirlpool directly and told them of my problem and they acted like they had never heard of this happening before. I told them to search the internet because everyone is having the same complaint! I had a Fridgidaire front loader for 9 years and never had a problem with it eating my clothes.

I bought this to provide A/C to our bedroom during a power outage by use of our Gasoline generator. It is very quiet and provide a very cool air flow. The double vent pipes make it efficient and more than capable of cooling out 15 X 25 foor bedroom. Whirlpool has 28,000 employees in the USA.

My wife and I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set less than three years ago. And so far the dryer has been ok, but our washer has had to have a new motherboard and now it smells like its burning. Our last washer and dryer set was a hand down and was over 15 years old and never had any issues like our new ones do. Ill never buy another Whirlpool product again.

Posted the following review of this oven on the Whirlpool website: How did this get 5 stars with so many complaints? Ive only used this oven once since installed last Sunday. It heated my kitchen up at least 3 degrees. I live in the South so evidently its not meant for southern summers. It does look nice but if Id known the fan blows such hot air out of the bottom, I wouldnt have chosen this one. Afraid if I use the self cleaning cycle, it will burn my hard wood floor. Probably why there are many complaints about uneven cooking and long to preheat since all the heat is blowing out of the bottom. I received an email saying it didnt meet their website guidelines and they wouldnt post it. Interesting?!

I called Whirlpool about the refrigerator that I purchased in June of this year and nothing was done about it. My situation is that the refrigerator scratches very easily. It seems that it gets scratch only by looking at it. This refrigerator is very expensive and I not even done paying for it and this appliance looks awful!! Susan the person that I was chatting with just told me that cosmetic doesnt cover and there is nothing that Whirlpool can do about. It bothers me that paying so much money for something that it is poor quality material.

I purchased a Whirlpool Dishwasher, model DU1010XTXB1, 13 months ago and now it wont drain nor come on. Interestingly enough, the company claims no fault and wants to charge $129 just to diagnose it. This product has never worked properly, happens to have recalls for the exact same model number, yet wont acknowledge or expand its serial # coverage despite that it is the same exact problems! Do not buy from Whirlpool!

We bought our Terrorpool Whirlpool refrigerator in 2006. We have had problems with the ice dispenser, bad motor replacement, and now we have cracks all down the right inside wall. I had bought an extended warranty of four years at the time of purchase which covered the cost of the previous problems. But it has now expired, and I was told it would be my expense for repair. What happened to reliable appliances that our parents and grandparents had? What happened to the name Whirlpool? I will never buy a Whirlpool product again, not to mention the customer service (which I wont mention). My husband purchases Whirlpool washer years ago. Started acting up after 18 months. Wont spin, stays locked, clothes are soaking wet. Used troubleshooting website. Spent over $200.00 in repairs... including new board. Still doesnt work properly. Whirlpool customer service recommended buying a extended contract for over $300.00. I could have bought a $900.00 Maytag by now. Total disgusted with machine and customer service. Aqualift technology does not work!! This is absolutely the worst product I have purchased from Whirlpool. The aqualift technology DOES not clean the oven, even if you clean the oven after EACH time you use it! I am not able to bend over and spend the afternoon in the oven. And even when I do, I cannot get this oven clean!!! Please DO NOT buy a Whirlpool stove with an aqualift technology oven cleaning process!!! You WILL be sorry!!!

Purchased this simple 30 wide fridge July 2017 to fit a short kitchen slot. It worked adequately, but it only had 3 temp settings. The highest setting was too warm and coldest froze food in the fridge within days. The middle setting was a little cold but the best option. Food in the back did occasionally freeze and we had to be careful for vegetables in the drawer freezing. Often we wrapped lettuce and more fragile veggies in towels to absorb moisture and slow down freezing. Two years after buying - almost to the day - the fridge stopped cooling below 45F. The freezer still worked, so I thought it might be fixable. I tried some DIY repairs from a couple of websites but nothing worked. Within a week, the fridge temps were up to 50-55F. I gave up on buying ice and keeping food in coolers. I bought a GE and havent looked back.

I ordered a washer dryer combination through Whirlpool. I was given a delivery date 2 weeks out. Whirlpool employees must be doing their laundry very sparingly if they think that this would not put a strain on a household. But I was willing to wait. I asked the date and they wouldnt give it to me. A week later they called with the date and I asked the time. Again they wouldnt give it to me. However they said they would give me the time the night before. They then called with the time, which was during work hours. I told them I would be unable to do this during work hours and they gave me the only other optional date, also during work hours. I finally agreed and took a 1/2 personal day. When I arrived home. I received a phone call from Whirlpool that they will not be delivering my washer/dryer unit at all and to pick a different date. I canceled altogether.UPDATED ON 02/24/2016: I have worked hard to not get upset at companies. However I feel that this is an especially poor company and I cant remain silent anymore. I bought a Duet Washer and dryer over the phone with Whirlpool. It took 3.5 weeks for it to get delivered because Whirlpool kept cancelling. Each time, I took a 1/2 personal day so that I could meet the delivery people within their 4-hour window frame. On the 3rd attempt, they were finally delivered and set up by the delivery men.During the 2nd time I ever used the product, it stopped working, making a horrible grinding noise. I had to unplug the machine. My husband came home and hes pretty handy. However he was unable to even press 1 button. I had a friend in the repair business come the next day and he was unable to repair it. I called Whirlpool again and they said theyd have a repairman out the next day. They outsourced the job to a local company and Whirlpool sent me a confirmation email with a time and date. Again I took a 1/2 personal day. After hearing from no one, I called the repair company. They said they had no record of me in the system. I cried.I called Whirlpool and was put on hold for 3 hours. I hung up and called again. They said my department closed 8 minutes ago and they couldnt take my call. I asked how that could happen considering you began the call 3 hours before that time and would have stayed on hold until I died had I not decided to hang up and try again. Every time previous to this I had been on hold for a minimum of 1 hour.I have been trying to return the product. They tell me that Im unable to because my product is functional. I told them it was in fact not functional, which was about the 3rd time I said this, and they said Ill have to call back 1st thing in the morning. I told them I cant risk any more work time to deal with this poor company. So they put me on hold again and thats where I remain. I am currently going on 27 minutes.

From the beginning, we were not really happy with the performance of the machine, which we felt was not cleaning as well as it should. Now it doesnt take the soap at all. The washing process goes on perfectly but without soap, so the dishes remain dirty.

I purchased a Whirlpool Microwave GMH6185XVQ1 on 7/2010 for kitchen remodel. It needed a magnetron repair just after one year warranty ran out. I called Whirlpool and they agreed to repair. Whirlpool sent me an offer for an extended contract. I purchased it. Since microwave was out of warranty at time of contract purchase, I was told there would be a 60-day waiting period. Microwave broke again on 3/2012. I waited until extended contract was in effect. I was told since microwave broke before contract was valid, I would have to pay out of pocket to repair, then contract would be valid after that. It appears (per internet research) these microwaves have bad magnetrons that need frequent repair. I wrote to BBB to complain.

I bought a whirlpool 40g gas heater with the Honeywell gas valve. In 5 years Ive had to replace the valve two times. Thankfully the valve was under warranty both times. Our old water heater was Twentynine years old before it started to leak, this new electrical diagnostic high tech gas valve keeps breaking showing a overheated error and the only way to fix it is a new valve that only Honeywell sells thats well over 100$. Talk about a scam!!

April 1, 2018 we purchased a new Whirlpool 36in. W25 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator, model # WRF555SDHV, Serial #**. On 2/15/2019 the ice maker quit working. Kirbys Appliance in Prineville, OR ordered a new ice maker and installed it (it was still on warranty). On 5/8/2020 the ice maker quit working again...I called Whirlpool Customer eXperience Center, 1-800-253-1301. Had I purchased an extended warranty, it would have expired 3/31/2020. No one will come and fix or replace the ice maker at my expense, because of COVID-19. So, we purchased our $1,999.02 Whirlpool that does not make ice!! I will never buy another Whirlpool Appliance again.

Hi Folks, so today I had the pleasure to speak to Whirlpool regarding a repair bill on our washing machine which now has a bearing failure and estimate to repair was 1279.00. Its 6.5 Yrs old, just out of extended warranty and cost me with the pedestal a total of 1250.00 when new. I explained that in the 6.5 since I have lived at this house where we spend all new Whirlpool Gold Appliances, half have now failed. Range Microwave, Dishwasher and now the 1250.00 front loader is dying a slow and agonizing death with a bearing failure. Just so everyone understands, the estimate is from an official Whirlpool repair service that was booked through the Whirlpool website. Other repair folks just would not bother to look at it when I told them I believe the bearing was going bad.The repair man that arrived was professional and on time. However, I had a hard time understanding how a 6.5 Yr old washing machine would be considered beyond economical repair by costing 1279.00 to repair. Labor was 250.00 which I thought was fair. Time, etc. But parts made up the difference in cost. So later in the day, I spoke to Whirlpool and they offered the equal new washer for what would seem an excellent price. About half off. Wow, I thought that sounded good. So I asked if my existing pedestal would work with the new washer and it did not and I would have to pay for one. Regardless if my old one was fine or not.So, they offered a discounted rate from new at another half off. Total approx 800.00. So, I asked the Whirlpool rep to hold on and I need to check with my wife if she wants the replacement. She uses it as much as I do and wanted her thoughts. She checked the model on the washer and pedestal and with the local Home improvement store, they have it on sale for both units (washer and pedestal) and its about 50.00 less?Consequently, I called Whirlpool back and explained that it does not move the needle to regain my trust as compensation on a 6 yr bearing failure, failed dishwasher and range microwave they offer what a distributor of their product can offer for less as a package? Really? I mean, the Home improvement store is not in the business to lose money. Now, I am having a hard time understanding my own failure to have trust in a brand I used to have with my previous house.My mom had an old Whirlpool washing machine that lasted 25 years before she and my dad gave it away. You know, the old white top loader they used to make back in the 70s. Sheet metal, made a racket and never broke? Oh yeah got the clothes clean too! I dont know what to make of it anymore. So, I will just wait till it dies and take my hard earned money and spend it on another brand in my next house which we are going to move to soon. Maybe I can feel nostalgic and find my moms old washer. Its probably washing someones rags right now and getting them clean. It must be 35 yrs old by now.I dont expect to get anything for free. Its out of warranty, so I need to deal with the consequences, but there are steps the other party can take to help remedy the situation. I think they tried and it was genuine but in my thoughts its just not enough when your local box store is offering the same. When you develop a brand to extend a message of trust in quality and value, you need to have quality and value all the time. I suggested they help with the costs on the parts. I would certainly pay for the labor. Parts cost little to the manufacturer. Unable to help that way. I thought it was cheaper for them too. Guess not. Its come to be a throw away washing machine at 6.5 yrs and I am Infinitely disappointed. I just want my washing machine to work as well as my mothers old one and have the possibility to fix once in a while when needed.

Purchased a new Whirlpool water heater from Lowes. Two days into the reset switch kept tripping, Whirlpool wanted me to wait for someone to repair it. Lowes exchanged it for me. When I called Whirlpool service myself, Jessie was in technical support could have careless about my business and was dismissive about any issues or concerns I was having. This will be my last Whirlpool product ever.

We bought a new Whirlpool Dishwasher. Installed it, wife used it for two loads. The third time she tried using it the door sprung and it no longer latches. After two weeks of calling Whirlpool, we finally had someone come out to fix it. After the repairman took a hammer to the frame he stated that it had been dropped. He wobbled the dishwasher back and forth with his hand. He said the frame will never be correctable and we will always have problems. After another week we got a hold of Whirlpool and were told the repairman has ordered parts to repair the dishwasher. Whirlpool is hoping it will hang together until the warranty expires. If the dishwasher were fixable that would be fine. However, when the repairman who has years of experience in his job tells me it will never be right and will always be a problem, I believe him.

Purchased a Whirlpool washer/dryer pair @ least 5 years ago. Great machines. Washer washes very clean. My only beef is that once the cycle starts I cannot open the lid. Dryer will dry almost anything in 10 minutes or less.

I bought my first refrig. on April 2, it was delivered on April 4 this year. Plugged it in---it didnt work. Home Depot took it right back. Delivered the second one on April7th-- plugged it in--- it worked but WAS missing shelves. Home Depot made sure we got the shelf. The fridge worked for 3 months. Died, it has been 7 weeks and a few days for Whirlpool to make up their minds if I am getting a new refrig or if they are going to try to fix this one. The repairman has been here at least 3 times - all of the working parts have been replaced at least once. The model is WRF989SDAmo3 SERIAL NUMBER **. Do not buy a WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. Whirlpool do not please their customers.

Our side by side refrigerator is 2 1/2 years old. The LED lights are not working. Had to call repair service because one cant get into the housing without a service tech No9 normal screw in light bulb to replace 2 burned out light bulbs AND pay for the service call is $475.00. THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I would expect to pay for a major repair BUT A LIGHT BULB. DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR WITH LED lights. This is a major flaw in their manufacturing and If they go out again the fridge will go to the landfill.

NOT Even a 1 STAR!!! We spent A LOT of money on a Whirlpool Smart wall oven combo. It has only been installed for about 2 hrs. My husband and I have been trying to figure out why all the features on the Whirlpool app aren’t working. Most of our home has smart features and is connected to our phones so it’s not the fact that we aren’t tech savvy. I finally gave up and decided I’ll call customer service line about it tomorrow when they open. It’s Sunday night so every number we call says it’s outside of business hrs. Then excited to turn on the oven for the first time I turn the oven on and the noise that the fan is making is so loud you can’t even talk over it. The oven has been off for 15 min now but the noise continues. 3000.00 for a huge disappointment. Not to mention the thing is HEAVY. So the thought of us having to remove it and replace it with another does NOT make us happy at all. Best Buy or Whirlpool WILL be the ones doing that. For the trouble and money spent that’s the least they can do. Also family is coming into town for the holiday. We made sure to purchase way ahead of time to be sure we had it, installed it and can use it a few times to get the new smell out of it. Very very upset, angry and disappointed. Now it’s been 10 more minutes and the loud broken fan still won’t even turn off. Now we have to shut it off at the breaker. At this point I don’t think we will be even exchanging it for the same product. I knew we should have bought a Samsung!

I had a Whirlpool Natural Gas Water Heater professionally installed on 2-27-2107. This unit came with a Honeywell controller and thermopile assembly. Today is 05-18-2019 and the unit is not inoperative. The pilot is lit but the burner wont light. Here are the issues that I have come across so far: When I go to the Whirlpool site there is no direct link to Whirlpool water heaters, just kitchen appliances and washer/dryers. When I click on parts and accessories link it gives links to washers, dryers or pedestals. Again... No information about water heaters. I scroll down to the bottom of this page and I see a link to All Replacement Parts When I click that it takes me to another site managed by RepairClinic. When I enter the model number for the water heater it says Not Found. I entered the part number for the thermopile on the tag on the orange wire #321165-002 and 100078039 and again it returns as Part Not Found.Its obvious that Whirlpool is putting little effort into supporting their water heaters or their customers. I called their support line and they were able to order the thermopile assembly for $55 plus $27.95 in shipping to get it here by Tuesday. Today is Saturday. So that means almost 4 days without hot water. And since this water heater was a warranty replacement for a previous one that went bad they will not cover the cost of replacement parts for the thermopile. Lesson learned: No more Whirlpool purchases for any of their appliances.

Whirlpool dryer and washers have the worst reliability, plus terrible customer service. Parts missing from factory install to faulty parts that constantly need to be replaced. Wasting precious time to meet with service repair people. Not worth it. Make products that are reliable and be accountable.

I bought a new Whirlpool fridge that has been a piece of junk since the day I bought it. The minute the warranty expired. The thing broke down. The corporate service center was a joke. 15 min wait time just to get through. Then a runaround of misinformed referral numbers. Minimum charge $200/30 min just to have a service rep even look at it. And then $100/hour + parts after that. Highway robbery. My doctor doesn’t even charge me that much. I will never buy a piece of junk WP product ever again. Their customer service is rude and non-existent. The company does not stand behind its products. Don’t buy!

Purchased WP fridge, stove, and dishwasher at the same time. All were the gold series. At 20 months, freezer stopped cooling. WP would not cover the repair. Refrigerator has been noisy from day one. This company does not care about their customers.

Ice maker will freeze up every couple of week. I cleaned it all out last Saturday and today, Friday, it was frozen up again.

I purchased Whirlpool top loading washing machine model # WTW57ESVW less than 2 years ago. It stopped working yesterday. I had a trusted professional repairman evaluate it today. The motor needs to be replaced after less than 2 years?! The customer service reps basically said sorry. I should have purchased the extended warranty. Is it not reasonable to trust that a Whirlpool washing machine motor should last more than 2 years.I am very unhappy and very angry that Whirlpool will not stand behind their product. The last customer service rep I spoke to suggested she could send one of their repairmen and replace the motor at a cost to me of $299.00. So, after less than 2 years, I am offered an amount to pay of about half the cost I paid less than 2 years ago for the brand new washing machine. My home is full of Whirlpool appliances. I have been a good and loyal customer for over 30 years. I am very angry and upset with Whirlpool. Please explain to me why it is not reasonable for me to trust and believe that a Whirlpool top loading machine that is well cared for and not abused in any fashion should last longer than 2 years? Is this being a loyal Whirlpool customer gets you, I should have purchased the extended warranty”? We are talking about a motor here, not a fabric or bleach dispenser that breaks. My husband and I purchased our Whirlpool Gold French Door Fridge-Freezer on bottom in January 2012. Water collects in the bottom of the freezer and creates thick sheets of ice. When the bottom of the freezer is a full sheet of ice, the water just drips onto the floor. I come home from work to a river of water that stretches across the kitchen--and now my linoleum floor is warping from the water. This started only 6 months after we bought the refrigerator. Im sure the warranty is out--what can I do?

I have been TRYING replace a damaged panel on a $10,000.00 Jenn-Air refrigerator for over 10 months now!! Whirlpool is the supplier of Jenn-Air - I have probably spent at least 3 HOURS on the phone talking with one rep after another who ASSURES me they will deal with my problem!! Last week I gave my credit card # to the rep - who told me my part was sitting there, waiting for my # to be shipped. When I asked why no one had called me to let me know, especially considering the amount of time I have been waiting - she said she didnt know. One week later, I call AGAIN to find out why my credit card does not show the payment. Only this time to talk to a fellow who says my part is still on backorder, and they used my card # to put a $1.00 charge against it - to hold it for when my part arrives.. BUT has NO IDEA when that may be! I feel Angry, totally discouraged, lied to, and used! I will NEVER purchase any appliances under the Whirlpool affiliate. This is abhorrent customer service - a $10,000.00 appliance and this is how it is dealt with!!! Bad, very bad!!

I call in to Customer Service to get someone to fix my washing machine because it wasnt working and when I called, I forgot to have my washing machine serial number at hand. The person on the other side told me that she cant wait for me to get the serial number more than 2 minutes and I ask myself, if they cant wait for me more than 2 minutes to get my serial number, then why should I wait a week to have someone fix my washing machine?

My 2-year-old Whirlpool Gold Series model replaces a 20-year-old Roper. So far it has exceeded expectations for low noise and useful features like validated Sani-Rinse. Has all the normal features plus Eco-Dry, Sani-Rinse, delayed start, five levels/cycles of cleaning, and hi-Temp wash. Fits where the old Roper used to be and handles a full load of dishes with room to spare except Thanksgiving, which takes two loads. Smooth black front with touch buttons and blue lights. Looks nice. Using Sani-Rinse seems to take a long time, generally around 3-hours for a full wash cycle. Besides being ultra-quiet, the unit is very energy efficient earning good Energy Efficiency and water efficiency ratings.

A new washer, kept in pristine condition, indoors in an upstairs laundry room, used by 1 person for 4 years should NOT rust out. I took pictures and sent them to Julia ** a company representative after she offered me a discount on a new washer but would not send me an email with directions like it was some kind of secret until I insisted several times. The email simply had her phone number. I was to let her know the models I would be interested in and she would tell me if those were available for the discount. Then the company would charge me, deliver the new one and charge me to install and remove the old one. How is this for a great company. I sent her the models I might consider. No word back. Whirlpool, not looking like a stand-up company to be proud of. Shame on this company.I like the machine, but seeing it rust out before my very eyes has changed my mind. How will they address a 4 year old washer rusting from the inside out? How will they address a 1 year warranty? I found a copy of Whirlpool Washer Warranty that used to have up to five years for issues such as poor workmanship. It takes more than a year to find these things out. Dont make them if you cant guarantee that they will last. My last Maytag lasted 18 years and was still in good shape. I just wanted a model without the agitator in the middle and on that would conserve water. Should have kept the old one.

I have been blessed with my washing machine. I have never had one problem with it. I have had my machine for over three years now. It is a reliable machine, with five different water levels from small to super. It also has three different water temperatures (just great). I am very pleased with my washing machine. I cannot tell you how many machines we looked at before selecting our Whirlpool, thank goodness we did.

Do not purchase (Whirlpool products). Discuss guarantees with salespeople when purchasing! They are total sham and in fact borderline fraud! Purchased $5,000 dollar KitchenAid fridge only to have it breakdown after only 8 months. What they dont tell you is instead of recalling a product they give their repair personnel whats called a notice which means they know there are issues with their products!After much discussion and trying to return the product to no avail, I was told very adamantly my fridge would need to break down another additional 2 times before my fridge would be replaced with a new fridge. Forget about the cost of your food inside the fridge, they dont care! Just beware that their warranties and parts and labour are a complete and utter joke! My advice after much research if you can afford it buy Miele or Subzero product. Its more expensive but a lot less headaches in the long run! Ive eaten the cost of my KitchenAid appliance and went with a Subzero fridge. Dont believe the higher pressure sales pitch from salesman. Youre best to call a repairman and ask what hes fixing more often than not and 9/10 times he will tell you Whirlpool product! Customer service is a complete circus and gong show. Youll get further ahead talking to a donkey!!! Buyer beware! Whirlpool Canada/USA is a joke!!! Dont say I didnt warn ya!!!

Purchased Feb 2013 - worked okay until one month ago. Now stalls in the drain and spin cycle. The rotation of the drum sounds awful, makes a loud grinding noise. I tried doing the diagnostic reset of holding the Temp button in for 3 sec, release, 3 sec more but that didnt work. Also, I have noticed clothes are DRY after the Wash cycle! Managed to interrupt the wash and unlock the lid and was very disappointed. This is not a good quality piece of equipment. This seems to be a very common problem. How unfortunate.

I bought a 5 burner Whirlpool range that I really like except the danger of knobs turning on too easily and releasing gas. You just have to brush up against them lightly and they turn. 3 times my nephew has come into a gas smelling kitchen. Whirlpool sent repairman out. He said they operate properly. Really?? What to do?? Does someone have to die?

I have purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater on May 21, 2005 from Lowes Model number FG1F4040S3NOV, Product number 0730261, Serial number 05181291061. It is one of the Flame Lock heaters that was part of a class action law suit. The lawsuit has been settled however. I have had three thermocouples to date installed and each time the heater has gone out after three to four days. The technicians I have contacted at Whirlpool all have stated something else is wrong with the heater even knowing that this model has been seriously defective from the beginning. They always tell me to do this and that to repair it. I do not have hot water as of the date of this writing. The original problem began June 19, 2011.

Bought a Whirlpool dishwasher about 2 years ago. Used it once a day for one year. The bushings already need replacing (maybe $3 to make) and it’s $270 for the part or $280 for whole motor. Do the math. Not impressed.

I purchased a Whirlpool electric water heater from Lowe’s in 2007. It lasted 2 years until a faulty weld on the tank started leaking and flooded my basement. Whirlpool did replace it. However, my second water heater did the same exact thing in a different location on the tank after 2 1/2 years. It also flooded my basement.I am now on my third Whirlpool water heater in 5 years and the one I have now has a bad thermistor. It has cost me about $225 each time the water heater has been replaced. In my opinion, these Whirlpool water heaters are junk and their quality control needs to get out of the break room and start doing their job. Never will I purchase another Whirlpool appliance.

Purchased in Nov. 2013, by March 2014 noticed water leak on floor, after 8 service calls in 3 months it was deemed unrepairable By Whirlpool. Got a new fridge in June 2015, no cost to us, but have had 2 service calls already for the same problem. The first leak damaged our kitchen floor, and the ceramic tile that we have is no longer made so we have had to file an insurance claim on our homeowners to pay for repairs. I would never buy any Whirlpool product again, or buy from the local company we bought the original fridge from.

I am a fan of Whirlpool and I think the issues I have with this Duet machine is more because of the style but who knows. This is a front loader with lower water usage. It would have never gotten my sons sports uniforms clean. Never. The gasket around the front loading window frequently clogs so water doesnt drain. And perhaps worse, the drawer where detergent goes stays wet so it had gotten moldy and I didnt realize it. Now I remove the drawer after every wash so it can dry and I leave the loading door open as well. That just seems like a major design flaw and health issue.

This Whirlpool Duet washing machine is the worst purchase we ever made. The first problem I had was that after delivery, the balancer broke and it had to be returned to the store. 3 months later, my computer board went out. I have to wash twice because my clothes are not clean. 2 months ago, my hardwood floor was almost ruined because water was pouring out the soap dispenser because a sock sucked in the rubber hose and stopped it up. Today, Im unable to use my machine. Whirlpool should recall this machine. It’s too expensive and not worth the money. I do not recommend Whirlpool and will not buy any Whirlpool products again and will replace all Whirlpool products in my home.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set bought 5/25/2012 - The washing machine started beeping during the drain cycle and I have to reset it. After messing with it for around 30 minutes I can finally get it to drain. Then last night the dyer started making a loud squeal. I called and it is not under warranty anymore, so I have to flip the bill. My last $75.00 set from a church sale lasted 15 years. I paid $1,331 and this is the worst piece of crap I have ever bought. Lowes will not fix the problem when there is 1000s of complaints. I would have never paid this much, if I knew it wasnt going to last!UPDATED ON 05/15/2015: Whirlpool sent out Appliance Hospital to diagnose the problems. The washing machine needs a new tub, seals, circuit boards, drain motor etc and the dryer needs everything + an idler pulley because the original one disintegrated. The part they want me to buy is the same one that already failed. The cost to fix it, is over the amount I paid. REALLY? Somebody needs to do something to help the consumers. Blogging doesnt seem to help. I am handicapped and I have to go to the laundry mat now because I cant afford another set. DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL.

We bought a Whirlpool washer in 2010. It started making a loud noise on the rinse cycle in 2012. We called Whirlpool. They sent out a repairman from A and E Repair. Was told tub bearing shot, repair over $700.00. Contacted Whirlpool, was told machine out of warranty. After talking to them, they agreed to send parts if we paid labor. Machine lasted less than a year making the same sound again. A and E sent out same thing, bearing gone. Repair cost $997.17, charged us $136.74 service call after 2 minutes to shake the drum and saying same problem. Was told by Whirlpool, no warranty, tough luck.

Installed in May 2007, paid $674 for GU2455XTSS1 Whirlpool Dishwasher. It required service in March 2009 for $158 It became noisy in Oct 2011, so I placed a service call for $136. It was very noisy in Jan 2012. Again, I placed service call for an additional $93 that Whirlpool has not reimbursed. I must now replace the motor quoted at $403. The motor has a 90-day warranty. The 4.5 year old dishwasher must now be replaced. Whirlpool has not responded to email and to registered letter requesting a cost-effective solution to repair dishwasher that recognizes that reasonable life of the unit should be 10+ years and not 4.5 years.

My Whirlpool gas hot water heater will not stay lit. The thermal coupling has been replaced by my plumber. It did not help. This tank is defective. The product details are as follows: model # FG1F4949S3NOV, product # B07330262, and serial # **.

1st range arrived in June and would not heat to temperature. Sensor and control panel replaced. After 3 techs Whirlpool agreed to replace in September. 6 weeks later new range arrives. Protective film stuck to the lettering and when you try to remove it the lettering comes off. Chunk of enamel missing off inside oven door and defect in the glass cook top. Fast forward to today. THIRD range delivered. Same issue with the protective film and gouge in chalking around cooktop. Leons has been fantastic. They are replacing it with an entire new brand!

Whirlpool Cabrio wtw6400 - Never, never, never will I purchase a Whirlpool product again! I spent nearly $1,500 on this washer and dryer. The washer ties everything into knots and has had several problems, most recently the bearings going out! I just called customer service who said they would send a repair man, approx. cost $370. What a rip off! I strongly encourage everyone in this same boat to call their customer service complaint line and/or consumer reports. I bought from HH Gregg and will never shop there again either.

Do NOT buy this washing machine. It looks nice but that is all. My elderly parents bought this washing machine based on the past experiences with Whirlpool but the quality of the product has changed. This machine constantly errors and does not allow them to wash clothes. I have followed the instructions in the manual to try and clear the errors. I ended up calling Whirlpool and the response I got was... It will be anywhere from $80 to $125 for someone to come out and look at it. This is a product which should not stop working after 2 years. I guess Whirlpool only stands by their products for a year because they think it is only built for a years worth of service. I wish I had better things to say because the previous Whirlpool machine lasted over 20 years.

Bought side by side in 2010 and after the first 3 mth the ice maker jammed up. Found out the dispenser door was not working right so it was change. But lo and behold the dame thing jammed up again within 3 weeks and the door is working. I will never buy WHIRLPOOL AGAIN. I hope they go out of Business. They are selling junk and they do not care. I purchased my Whirlpool side by side refrigerator approximately 6 months ago. Immediately upon delivery the compressor showed itself to be very noisy, especially upon start up. I questioned the delivery persons and was told it would become quieter with time. It did I not. In fact, in the following days it got worse. I contacted Whirlpool and was sent an “approved” repairman. The confusions and scheduling difficulties in this process, however, were many. Finally, when the man did arrive. He listened and said the refrigerator was working but agreed it was loud but apologized there was nothing he could do.I called Whirlpool again several times to note the noise and constantly was given the sympathy of people saying they “understood but there was nothing they could do.” Finally, out of desperation I contacted the store where I had purchased the refrigerator and they sent a manager who agreed the unit was unreasonably loud and took the refrigerator back. I researched the Whirlpool company and found they are essentially the same company that makes several other common American name brands, so I made a point not to purchase from any of these companies. Instead, I purchased from a foreign manufacturer and couldn’t be happier. All I can say is I tried to buy American but have been greatly disappointed by both the product and lack of customer service by Whirlpool. I will not buy from them or their other companies again.

Whirlpool Gas Range WFG540H0es - Purchased 2 months ago. After 2 weeks there was a spill. The black burner caps are powder coated. After cooling we washed it with dish detergent & a sponge. The powder coating came off. Called the company. They replaced burner caps. Last week there was a spill and it stained the burner bases which are powder coated in a silver color. We tried 409 cleaner, Windex, dish detergent with a sponge. Could NOT get the stain out started removing powder coating. Called the company they ONLY guarantee cosmetic appearance 30 days. They wanted $139.00 for a new set of burner bases. I am going to go back to Lowes & see if we can return this Whirlpool range.

This refrigerator stopped working withing 2 weeks of delivery. Lost a great amount of food. It was a real hassle to get the warranty company out. Took several days. Now there are places on each shelf in the refrigerator where food freezes and I have to throw it out. I am not real happy with this.

We bought a complete set of Whirlpool Appliances three years ago. The set we bought were in the upper price range. In the past three years: The freezer began forming ice on the bottom which melted and poured water all over the floor (a unit on the freezer had to be replaced 18 months ago). An element on the stove quit working and had to be replaced (12 months ago). The ice maker quit working and had to be completely replaced (9 months ago). The dishwasher quit working and the entire motor had to be replaced (3 months ago). The ice maker quit working again four days ago. The repair person who just came said the entire unit needed to be replaced, AGAIN. He said the warranty on the part is only 6 months. I called Whirlpool itself - their warranty is only 1 year. The fact that their warranties are so short, and there are so many problems with their products is evidence that they do not make products to actually work. They simply make them to sell. They do not care if the product works once the consumer has paid for it. This was obvious in my conversation with the Whirlpool service person. She took 10 minutes to gather all my personal information then took 10 seconds to tell me there was nothing they would do.

Bought the washer from HH Gregg for over $560 12/2012. Turned on power 4/2014 and just heard clicking noises then nothing. Had to get technician. Paid for $75 service charge and waiting for cost of labor and part for the lid lock/latch assembly. I see a lot of complaints with this new machine. I bought a new one BECAUSE I did not want any problems with repairs. Whirlpool is ripping off the consumer passing out this piece of discombobulated metal, wires and electronics. An appliance like this should last AT LEAST 7 years without a problem. I wish there was a class action lawsuit and will be waiting to the day it surely comes.

Bought a Whirlpool 25 cu ft side by side in 2011 and now just 4 years later the compressor is bad. Called them and they only have a 1 year warranty, which is nothing for a compressor. They told me for $350 they could replace it and it be good for only a year. Not going to sink more money into a product even the company has no confidence in. The repairman advised to stay away from Whirlpool as they were not the company they used to be. Also the salesman at Lowes where it came from said they used to have a 5 year warranty but changed several years ago and the quality also went down. We have had refrigerators last 25 to 30 years in the past but no more thanks to modern technology. Thanks a lot. STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

I have had my Whirlpool dishwasher for 8 years..I cant use the top rack anymore as it doesnt clean dishes!! I bought a brand new one for my cabin..I hope it works longer (right now it cleans amazing).

Since these are made in Mexico as told me by the Lowes rep, quality has suffered. 1st one so crooked and put Roger on, no doubt a crooked floor, could not be fixed or leveled or plumbed. Got a replacement and, yes, same problem! Took off upper hinges and reamed all 4 hole out to line up tops of doors. Only problem is box of fridge is sooo racked that rear shims are needed, and many to experiment. My floor is perfect so its not that. Fixed for now but I am a pretty.much a perfectionist. Dont buy, make. Then Chuck them all in a landfill where they belong! And I dare anyone to try and get thru to them! THEY DONT CARE AT ALL!

Our 4 year old Cabrio top loading washer failed. Apparently there is an engineering design issue with the pump and tub assembly causing the machine to not complete its spin cycle. These items will typically fail between two to four years of operation. We paid $1,000 for what we thought was a high end machine from Whirlpool. After having a local repair company diagnose the issue, we were told by Whirlpool we must use their authorized service companies. After 6 weeks of waiting for service, parts and several trips to the laundromat, we had the repairs completed by Whirlpools authorized service provider. Within one week, our machine failed again, called Whirlpool and they said will not help us. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS!!!

I was sold a gas water heater that had my water smelly like rotten eggs in less than 6 months. I bought it in January 2016 and by June the anode rod I am told was no good. The only thing Lowes could do for me was sell me 2 anode rods, one the plumber thought was bad. I also had to hire a plumber. I was eventually told I was out of luck because the area the old anode rod was in was too damaged to come out.

I purchased a Whirlpool accubake oven in 2010. The repairman has been out to repair it 5 times. Thats right 5 times. It wont maintain the baking temperature. They have changed the mother board, the ignition switch, the harness, and the thermostat. Every time the repairman leaves it works and then I go to bake something and it doesnt. Once it reaches 350 degrees the oven cuts off. You can hear it trying to ignite but its like the fire doesnt catch. I have to shut it off, press bake and heat it up all over again. This is so annoying. Bad thing is I like the look of the oven but clearly this is a shotty product. I will never buy a Whirlpool again.

For the most part, the dishwasher performs well, but I wish they would ask the input of women when designing appliances. I just can’t figure out how having spikes on the top and the bottom racks is supposed to help in organizing your dishes better for proper cleaning.

Purchased from Home Depot and self-installed. That part was not too big a deal but after installing this stove we started a journey of irritation, aggravation and general dissatisfaction. This stove has the standard layout for burners that seem to be common to most low-end stoves. Two huge burners in the front, a simmer burner at the right rear and a general purpose burner at the left rear. Thats all wrong for me and our set up. I want a large burner at the left rear and general purpose every place else. Can you alter the standard configuration? NO! Not without some major alterations to the stove top.Next are the grills or cast cooktops (2 each). They are a bit cumbersome when cleaning the stove but doable. The real problem with the grills are Whirlpool decided to save money by skimping on this feature. The grills are not a stable cooking platform for smaller pans and it turns out Whirlpool recommends square pans for this stove. SAY WHAT? I have pans and skillets from my grandparents and they are ALL round. Thats how that stuff is made. ROUND! The grills design is unstable for any round pot, pan or skillet, if its diameter, is 6 or less. Kiss that excellent saucepan goodbye if you have this stove. My current solution is a piece of light expanded steel over the burner areas.Keeping in mind we use Propane as our heating gas. The adjustment of the flame temp on the four burners is non-existent. They all are either on high, medium or low. There seems to be no fine tuning with these burners. At the end of the day go look for something that is NOT a Whirlpool, LP gas range Model #: WFG515S0EW. You will be better served and less irritable with almost anything else. Even a campfire in the yard is a better choice.

I have a model FG1F4034T3NOV water heater that was a problem since day one. The pilot will not stay lit, and apparently, there was some sort of class action lawsuit due to a defective part that I missed out on because I didnt know about it. The telephone representative is quick to point out that it is out of warranty due to the date of manufacture and that it needs about $200 in parts because I cant find the receipt from 4 years ago, when I bought it from Lowes. The company flat out refused to do a courtesy replacement for parts or discount them.

Whirlpool Dishwasher is 5 years old. Used in a one-person household where dishes are washed approx.. every four days (rinsed before placing in d/washer.) Recently at completion of cycle, 2 of water remained on the bottom (still there.) Whirlpool told me it sounds like I need a new pump, the cost of which would be approx. $300 (tech visit and evaluation, parts and labor.) I understand appliances dont last forever but I expected more than five years.

I purchased this Whirlpool Aqualift oven at now bankrupt HH Gregg so my recourse is limited. I loved the look of the slide in range and the salesman raved about the quality of this appliance. First the ceramic top is a nightmare to keep clean, not mentioned at purchase. The Aqualift feature is totally useless. I use my oven on a very limited basis. Putting water in the bottom of oven does absolutely nothing to clean oven and even less on sides and oven door. I spent a substantial amount of money on this so called self clean oven and I am so disappointed in results. It does not get off even a minimum of spots, I would hate to have something actually spill over. Aqualift does not work and then you are advised to not use anything else to clean it, so what now?

Whirlpool® Gold® 5.8CuFt Capacity | GAS Stainless - This was not an inexpensive stove. The self cleaning oven function is a total failure. You are not supposed to use oven cleaner on the glass, it now has obscured the view into the oven. The top of the stove is very difficult or impossible to clean. The knobs are a dangerous issue. They will fall off at the slightest touch and the stainless markers around the knob are just a stick on label. The oven temperature is not accurate. The bottom drawer is completely rust spots on the inside. What more can I say. Oh I know. Whirlpool your quality is a disgrace and I want a refund.

The door handle is cracking on my Whirlpool microwave. This is a poor experience with Sears. My original door was smoked up from a kitchen fire. I replaced the door and handle in June. My boyfriend does all the cooking, so I did not notice the handle until November. It is cracking on the side. We contacted Sears, and they said it was past the warranty. This problem is due to a defective product. I have seen several similar complaints online.

I really enjoy the self cleaning option on this unit. It really cleans everything without chemicals and then you just vacuum up the dust. My dislike is the ceramic top though. The top scratches really easily and hard to clean up spills during cooking. Overall I would give this stove a b rating.

I purchased a home in March of 2013. When I bought the home, I noticed it had a new Whirlpool 50-gallon gas 6th sense hot water heater model number ND50T122-403. It was newer and I thought it was a good selling point and would last many years. The original owner had purchased the heater in March of 2011. Three months after I moved in, the control valve went bad - 4 flash eco lockout. I called Whirlpool. They sent out the replacement part. I had to pay for shipping express delivery. Since then the control valve has gone out 2 more times, a total of 3 times in one year. On the third time, they gave me a return number for a replacement. I dont even want this heater for free. I am still required to pay for installation and additional installation parts. This product is terrible. Save yourself a headache. Do not buy this product!
