We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio for $1,100 because it was the largest capacity washer in our price range at the time. It has had very little use as I typically take my clothes to the laundry mat since it is anything but large capacity. I have always had problems with the buttons malfunctioning but I went to empty a load and the water was still standing in it - I got code ld and realized that the entire tub had broke off and dropped into the bottom of the machine. Where is the class-action law suit? I want to be the first name on it. I dont have $1,100 to waste on junk. Whirlpool should be ashamed.

My brand new top-loading, high efficiency washer has squealed like a banshee from day one. Whirlpool replaced the main agitator part, with no success. It still squeals so loud, you cant have a conversation in the same room. Now, Whirlpool says that it is normal. No, it is not normal for a washer to squeal so loud. I am still waiting on Whirlpool to replace the same part they replaced the last time. We are still not abe to hear each other over the squeal of our new Whirlpool washer. This is not normal.

Bought set 12/5/14 at Lowes Tucson. First load came out with shirts looking like theyd been scrubbed with sandpaper. Called Whirlpool & was advised to use higher water level for loads. Then noticed small hole in my favorite shirt. Oh well. Next I found an area in my king sized bottom sheet with several holes and torn fibers. Thought maybe it might be from my toenails, except it wasnt where my feet would be. Finally a pair of capris (just worn twice) found with same type of holes and torn fibers. Dryer also inefficient. Balls up clothes - outside dry; inside wet. Re-run one or two inside wet pieces and they dont dry at all! What kind of technology is this?

My three month old $2,000 combination microwave-oven works a fine, its the just the details that stink. For example: There is no way to turn off the turntable. Yes! a crappy $40 microwave can do this, but not this one. Liquid got into the middle of the door window. You cant open it up to clean, they want to send a technician to clean that up so you can actually see through the window. How much? $150. How was it possible that Whirlpool did not adequately seal the glass? They dont care, and dont care about how it looks.

Whirlpool Dishwasher purchased at ABC Warehouse in Chesterfield, MI and was delivered on 10-2-2014, and one year later, we noticed that the tips of the lower basket were coming off. We contacted the holder of the extended warranty (5-yr.) and also Whirlpool. Both replied the fault was cosmetic and was not covered by warranty, that only mechanical/electrical components were covered. When we were buying the extended warranty, we were told that we were covered for all issues that may occur. We werent told cosmetic flaws were not covered. I guess consumers should, before buying a new product, make a specific list of possible problems, and make sure whats covered and not covered. We have been unable to resolve this issue.

We bought the Whirlpool Gold series side-by-side about 2 years ago with an ice maker in the door and with this design, the ice bucket is on the inside of the door, which we thought was a very clever design, taking up less freezer space. Well, to remove the ice bucket, we had to use a blow dryer because even though you press the button which is supposed to disengage the bucket from the door, it has always been frozen onto the base. Then we started having issues of water leaking from the ice maker. It turns out, that the lever that controls the chute was broken. We called a certified Whirlpool technician to come out to fix the ice maker dispenser lever. Well as it turns out, it cannot be fixed. It is a sealed in the door unit and to fix it, we have to replace the door, a repair estimate for door and labor is approximately $800. That is absurd.I contacted Whirlpool and was told that my refrigerator is out of warranty and that there is not an option to repair the dispenser. There is nothing we can do. I said that according to the repairman, we are not the first to report this problem. When I contacted Whirlpool I was told there is no recall for this item. We purchased the Whirlpool based on the reputation that it has had in the past and the good product we have in a Maytag (which is associated with Whirlpool) dishwasher. Well, never again are we going to purchase a Whirlpool or any of its subsidiaries products. I have read so many unhappy customers here that I cannot believe that Whirlpool continues to make such inferior products or designs.

When I bought my new retirement home, a Whirlpool dishwasher Model No. DU1055XTVS1 had been installed. After only three years of use, the dishwasher would not complete a cycle except to drain and cancel. The repairman replaced a computer board and when the parts cost and the service cost were combined, they amounted to about half the cost of the dishwasher. I have a PC that is twice the age of the dishwasher and it is still running.

I Bought the Whirlpool Duet Steam Mod#: WFW95HEDC0 in 2015. I have always wondered how a machine can get clothes clean with less water but liked the idea of the energy star and saving water. However, I found that I was right and the clothes do not get very clean. They do not even get all wet hence the dry feeling when they are done. I just recently got a little frustrated at having to rewash some things by hand afterwards. I started to pretreat and wash out stains by hand beforehand. That helped some. I finally stopped the machine after all the water was done filling it and it tumbled a bit. It looked like it was wet from the window but when I dug through the clothes I pulled out a t-shirt that was almost bone dry. Some of the other thicker clothes like jeans etc. had a lot of dry spots too. This is why the odors don’t come out and why spots and lines are left where the dry meets the wet. There just isn’t enough water get all the material wet. I then proceeded to pour a pail of water in to get all the clothes wet. When I started it back up, it drained some of the water and I still had the problem. So now I get all the clothes wet in the sink before I put them in the washer. It’s amazing how clean they got and they didn’t have the body odors either. I think this machine would be fine if it could be reprogrammed to add more water for cycles. I know that would change the “Energy Star” but this water saving idea is bogus if we have to rewash and add more water to the cycles. At this point I will be looking for a new machine that doesn’t have the energy star but allows me to adjust the water myself. I do not trust these machines anymore.

Well, I read most of the complaints with the failures in the machine. I guess most of them didnt last long enough to rate their performance so here we go. I bought a Cabrio top loader, high-E washer a couple of years ago. This one had a different kind of agitator - it was just a couple of inches or so off the bottom. I specifically bought this to wash comforters and it seemed like it was good for that (rousing agreement from the salesperson). So after a couple of years of working with it, here are my observations:Pros: There are absolutely none!Cons: Okay, other than not having control over the settings (cannot override any of the preprogrammed wash settings), it simply doesnt get loads clean (yes, I use expensive HE detergent). Except for the bulky setting, there is never enough water to wash and rinse the loads properly. Next, it makes a mess of the clothes. At the end of the cycle, and this is true no matter what I wash or how large or small the load is or which cycle I pick - even light and slow spin, it just makes a tangled mess of the load. Stuff gets stuck inside of other stuff, wrapped around other stuff or are balled up. Never have I seen this type of issue. I constantly get the unbalanced load notice and have to manually redistribute the clothes most of the time.To address the too little water level, there are two options. I have discovered that the bulky setting has the highest water level, so I use that most of the time. From time to time (when I need different water temps or just want more water), I have developed a work-around by putting a Y adapter on the hot water inlet and a short hose. Once the washer starts the wash cycle, I stop it and add a bit of hot water to bring the level up enough to do a decent wash job - same for the rinse cycle. So much for Whirlpools water efficiency.Next, the hot isnt hot. Its barely lukewarm. So I turn the cold down to a trickle and I get a bit hotter water. It takes forever to rinse though. Its a good thing Im semi-retired. Next is the inflexible cycle/water selector. I have never had a washer I couldnt override to tell it what to do in unusual circumstances. Boy, what rocket scientist at Whirlpool dreamed that up!But above all, this just doesnt get loads clean. I have experimented with all the variables, load size, cycle selection, detergents, etc. Most of the time, I have to do two cycles with my loads and these are not unusual or extremely dirty loads. They are just normal, everyday laundry for an adult couple. Really, Whirlpool! Who was the conceptual designer on this? Thank goodness they werent working on the space shuttle or some disease research.Bottom line, I am so soured on the design and performance of this product that I will never buy another Whirlpool product, either brand name or generic (Sears). I just cant understand how a company would let something like this out the door.

I purchased a Whirlpool 3 years ago. It was on the lower end for price so my expectations were not that high. It does an average job cleaning dishes so for the price I could give it 4/5. The pump and motor just went and had to be replaced. Almost the same cost as replacing the whole machine. The repair technician that did the work stated that this was a very common problem with Whirlpool in recent years. Of course this is not covered by warranty. So if you purchase a Whirlpool realize you are rolling the dice.

We have a new home with a Whirlpool gold refrigerator that has been fixed twice in 3 years for not cooling adequately (over 45 degrees), a dishwasher that the mother board has gone out twice with 3 different service calls (repairman recommended trashing and buying a new one), microwave that is rusted out on inside door below glass, and washer with horrid smell if you dont wash with bleach weekly and dryer whose sensor doesnt sense anymore after 2 service calls!!! I cannot believe the poor customer service and lack of responsibility the company has taken on these not inexpensive products!! Like others on this post they will not acknowledge problems and tell me I should have bought extended warranty. I am so angry - there should be some sort of law that allows recourse for such bad behavior!

I purchased this range/electric (ygfe461lvq0) two years ago. It worked fine, but once about a year ago, the oven overheated and the breaker had to be turned off to stop it. No error codes were displayed. Year two, the oven broiler element stays on regardless if using bake or broil. Oven will go into runaway mode and breaker or cancel button has to be pushed to stop it from over heating. This range is a fire hazard and should be recalled regardless of what age it is. I called Whirlpool at Sears which recommended a tech who arrived to tell me that the control board is shot and for a price of around $400.00, it could be replaced. What is up with that? I had to pay for the expensive tech, also for 15 minutes of work. Sears says that I should have taken the extended warranty plan for around $160. Do I have to pay for an extended plan to have my house burned down due to a defect in manufacturing from Whirlpool? This is disgusting that a company can get away with crap like this. How do you people sleep at night?

Think twice before buying Whirlpool appliances. In our experience, quality and durability are a real issue. Here is our story. 5 years ago we built a winter vacation home. We bought brand new Whirlpool appliances from a reputable vendor at full price. Washer, dryer, double oven, and refrigerator. The washer arrived damaged. The damage was a button that was depressed and could not be released. This was brand new washer, never used, but Whirlpool insisted that we had caused the damage. It was only after the vendors tech got involved that Whirlpool relented and sent a repair tech.Next, the bottom oven door came apart in my hands after just days of use. I had to fight (yes fight and argue!) with Whirlpool customer service to send a repair tech. Finally after much arguing Whirlpool sent a tech and the oven door was repaired. The tech told us that this was a common defect! (Shame on you Whirlpool!) So why you might ask, why am I complaining? Well this is a vacation home. We are here 3 months a year (times 4 years = 1 year of very light use) and today the oven door came apart in my hands again. That makes twice in 12 months of light use. Frankly, this is shameful! I do not understand how this company gets away with it!I am disgusted with Whirlpool crap quality and crap customer service and I want everyone to know what they can expect when buying Whirlpool. I suggest you check all available reviews before placing your order for anything from Whirlpool. As for this new oven door repair? Ill report again after talking with Whirlpool but I expect to be told Sorry sucker, the warranty is over! Buyer beware!

I bought all new Whirlpool appliances. In my opinion Whirlpool has the best product at the best price. I don't buy anything but Whirlpool. My new bottom freezer refrigerator has more room than my previous side by side. The bottom freezer is a great feature and works very well for me. The shelves are adjustable. There is plenty of room in the doors. It has a meat drawer and humidity control vegetable bins. I was worried I wouldn't have enough room for my food but I am happy to report there is plenty of room. The freezer has the pullout shelves and automatic ice maker. It has a great appearance and takes less room than my previous side by side. My wife and I spent about $2500 on a new Whirlpool Dutch Door fridge five years ago. 18 months later the evaporator went out and the warranty was only good for one year! We bought an extended warranty, got it fixed and the other evaporator went out less than a year later after that! Next, the circuit board control on the crisper went out. Then, the water filter would not disengage and a repairman had to take the fridge apart just to put in a new filter! And now, the ice-maker has gone out and the fan is icing up like another evaporator is going... Insane! Our warranty is up next year. Once the warranty ends we will start shopping for another unit - and it wont be a Whirlpool - thats for sure. I have never owned anything this unreliable in my entire life! Also, I would say most of the time we have owned this piece of you-know-what it has made a loud disturbing fan noise... What a waste of good money! Run! Run far, far away!!!

Five years ago I bought a brand spanking new HE set with a top load washer, top of the line Whirlpool. That washer has been a piece of junk and getting it serviced has been a nightmare. It broke, i.e., the computer part, and was out of commission for FOUR MONTHS. I live on an island off of Alaska, luckily I rented one for the duration but STILL. That was an EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLAR MACHINE. I liked that they are new and shiny and look cool. I hate that the electronics broke after a few years. Ive had washers dryers that lasted TWENTY YEARS. The next set I buy will have plain buttons for cycles and NO ELECTRONICS. None. And still none. Electronics instead of plain buttons. Im not kidding, I will never buy another one with electronics. I bought a top of the line Whirlpool HE top loading set for over $1400 five years ago and that washer has been a bust. I have had a repairman out over 5 times and the last time he took it out and kept it in the shop for FOUR MONTHS. I will never buy a fancy set again. I will buy the old kind with the plain old buttons. Do not make this mistake yourself! Just buy a plain old one!

Before the first year was over, ice was forming on the inside roof of the refrigerator and the whole cooling system/grid needed to be replaced. My home warranty wont cover. It is a $400.00 repair to replace the circuit that attaches from the water filter. I called Whirlpool 2/14/2017 to complain about the product. Purchased Black Ice French Door refrigerator in December 6, 2012. Used warranty first year due to loud noise & replaced whole back panel in top part. They seemed to know it was a design flaw. Thought all would be well. Purchased extended warranty for second year and did not need so did not extend again. Now it has been 2 years and 7 months and the ice maker had to be shut off due to water running down outside. The refrigerator is no longer cold enough--60 Degrees (too warm) and freezer door would not close all the way (had to duct tape it shut). I certainly expected it to last longer than that for a $2300 fridge. The old Kenmore was 15 years old and still worked. After reading all these reviews it is time for a class action lawsuit! Whirlpool refrigerator Model WRT771RWYW01 - Having been pleased with my old Whirlpool, I made the mistake of buying one now made outside the US. First, we had to have the cold cut tray replaced, which was covered in our warranty and not a problem. Then, we complained because you can only put things on the front half of the shelves or they freeze solid. We were told, This is the way they are made, dont put things in the back.” So, I have to put my eggs in sideways so the back ones dont freeze and cant use the back portion of the refrigerator shelves. I paid a lot and I am angry. Lets go back to the US people where things were made right.

I have called Whirlpool six times to request a replacement for a broken deli drawer in my refrigerator. I was told to throw everything away from the unit, since the whole assembly would come complete in the mail. First call: Ordered the replacement: what came was a glass shelf without a drawer or gliders and hardware. Second call: requested the drawer and remaining parts. Third call: only received the plastic drawer without any means of installing it. Fourth call: received only one side glider, again without hardware to install. Fifth call: requested a supervisor (Kimberly) who took the order for the remaining glider and all hardware. Received second glider and (1) screw when two are needed.Sixth call: asked rep Brigitte for a supervisor and was not connected. Given the run around and told that the rep spoke with a supervisor for me and would send out a repairman to assemble the unit. I just need the missing screw. I have spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get what I need from Whirlpool and do not have time to wait for a service repairman to come out. I just cannot fathom how that many calls - with me being patient and calm - cannot produce the required items. Horrible.

I bought the washer and dryer. I had problems right away. The glass lid has broken and replaced 4x at the hingeless. YES 4 times – 1 time under warranty. I complain, they gave me 1 extra year of a warranty. Big deal... Was told its not a recalled item because it didnt cause of fire. The dryer has caught fire 2x as the bottom fills up with lint. I messaged and sent picture and they did nothing. Said it was up to me to clean the unit. I am not able to take the dryer apart to clean it. The lint cannot be reached without removing the top and back of dryer and taking out the drum and the belt off. Nothing but grief. Giant expense to maintain all the broken parts not to mention labor fees… Very very unsatisfied. And they do not care!!!! They will never get another penny of my money!!!!! Im not sure how they get away with this!!! I spent $2000 to buy a good set that would last and all I got was junk. Not to mention the awful smell always having to bleach or cleaning it all the time.

We bought a Whirlpool Refrigerator - Model ES5FHAXS in 2006. Right off the bat, a line in the back of the refrigerator was leaking. We paid for the repair. Next after just one year, the refrigerator would be warm and the freezer part ran super cold. The settings did not work. After much haggling with Whirlpool, they paid for someone to come out and repair it. It worked for several weeks then the same problem came back again. We argued with Whirlpool again and someone from AES or AAA came out. The problem was fixed but once again came back again after a couple months. We called Whirlpool again. This time was much haggling and arguing but got them to come out a third time. Once again, the problem was fixed but came back again after several months. The repair company stated that if they found it was something other than what they fixed, we would be charged. I said either it was not fixed right or the refrigerator is a total lemon. I said you will probably just say it is something else to cover your costs. Whirlpool acted like they did enough, even though 3 repairs could not get it right. If we paid or each repair ourselves, it would have been nearly the cost of the refrigerator and it still would not have worked. We bought a refrigerator back in 1992 and never had any problems after 16 years when we moved. The refrigerator was not cheap but could not do what refrigerators are supposed to do - keep things cold all the time. What a disappointment.

I bought a Whirlpool High Efficiency top load washer. It does not get the clothes clean. Dark clothes come out with spots all over them. There is not enough water to rinse out the dirt. It is left on the clothes in spots. I have to take my clothes to the laundry mat to wash them to get them clean. I am 74 years old and have used Whirlpool appliances all my life. I have dt3 rental houses I keep Whirlpool appliances in. But I wont be buying any more. I had to call the repair man one month after I bought it. He had to recalibrate the machine. If all you want to wash or maybe rinse out is a pair of slacks or a shirt, it might be o.k. but not a load of dirty clothes. It is just a JOKE.

The Cabrio is the absolute worst washer that Ive ever owned! No matter what combination of setting I use, my clothes come out dingy, all twisted and wrinkled, and full of lint and detergent residue (I use liquid detergent made specifically for HE washers). Every setting runs for over an hour. So much for high efficiency! What it saves on water it more than wastes on electricity!! More often than not, the entire load becomes enveloped in one of the items to create one huge ball. A t-shirt stretched to encompass the remaining clothes into a perfect sphere! When that happens, some of the laundry in the middle of the big ball is barely damp. The dryer is just as bad, even the towels come out wrinkled. How is that possible? And again, it takes over an hour to dry a load.Whirlpool customer service is awful. When I called to complain, the agent began schooling me on how to wash clothes. Im 66 years old, Ive washed a few clothes in my lifetime and have always prided myself in my white whites and bright colors. I have a new house and the builder provided all the appliances. Based on my past negative experience with Whirlpool products and their customer service, I would not have purchased Whirlpool.

Ill be just as responsible as Whirlpool and Nasons has been... I bought my Whirlpool stove less than 2 yrs ago from a reputable business in a nearby community, CROWN POINT, INDIANA! I have had trouble w/ the burner knobs ever since I bought it...just brushing up against them turns them on. Enough gas escapes into the kitchen... I bought knob covers to prevent that (they did NOT work)! So I called the place I bought the stove from and they sent out a repairman...he said there was no fix for it... but that I owed him $69.99 for the service call. And every time I turn the oven on to heat it to bake something you smell gas also... Im almost afraid to use it... 3 nights ago I woke up to the kitchen filled w/ gas...knob covers on but still one was still on a bit... it was a whopping -25 and we had to open windows to clear out the gas... you shouldnt have to check the knobs once youve turned them off. Nor should they come on when you brush by them...when youre not even cooking... Granted I am short but the serviceman said I should move everything I needed to cook w/ closer to me so I didnt have to brush up against the stove... what????? I have cabinets above and all around the stove. What I cant use those cabinets????? Something is terribly wrong w/ the stove and the service... If youre in the market for a new stove, dont buy a Whirlpool and for certain DONT buy anything from NASONS appliances in Crown Point Indiana... They along with whirlpool dont stand behind their product... They told me they never had that complaint before. WRONG, I read it more than once on this site...liars all of them!

This washing machine has not worked well from the time I bought it two year
This washing machine has not worked well from the time I bought it two years ago. It never fills to the amount of water required to clean clothes, it is always off balance, so I need to adjust the clothes at least five times per load. I end up wringing my load out by hand. The clothes come out smelly and not clean. After the cycle is done all the clothes smell like mildew. The other night while doing a load, it made such a loud noise in the motor and started to shake up and down, and then moved forward, like it was going to take off or explode. I tried to do another load, but after it filled and started to agitate, it started to make a loud grinding sound and there were 25 minutes left, then the timer showed 26 minutes left, like the computer in the machine is messed up. I had to empty the water out, wring out a load of clothes including towels, exhausting. The worst part is that the machine is finally paid off, I am a single mother on a disability and I am stuck with this piece of junk. I felt desperate so I looked up Cabrio washing machines to try to figure out what could be wrong, and then I find all these negative reviews, and these owners all have the same issues. Why has there not been a recall, or a class act, who can afford to replace a $700.00 washing machine every three years. I also purchased the Cabrio dryer which cost over $700.00. I do not trust that it will be any better in the long run.I cannot rate this machine as it has been a nightmare from the start. White socks seemed to come out with more dirt than when I put them in, and I am sick of using bleach all the time, the fumes make me feel ill. This is not acceptable, obviously this item is defective, and a prominent company such as Whirlpool should take the loss, not all the victims that paid too much in the first place trusting that Whirlpool was a reputable company, I will never give them my trust or business again. I hope to hear from you, and if there has been a recall or class act legal actions, please let me know as I want to be involved.

Our dishwasher stopped working after 13 months. We are a family of 2 and use it once a week. We called Whirlpool and were told since it is past 12 months, they would do nothing but give us the name of a repairman in the area. We called our own repairman and $120 later, the sensor that had malfunctioned was replaced. Quite costly on a $450 dishwasher. Now, after 15 months, the handle on the lower broiler portion of my Range has come off and the screws will not hold because the plastic around them deteriorated. I just called customer service once again, knowing what I would be told and YES was told So sorry, nothing we can do. A new handle will be $45 plus shipping. We bought the refrigerator at that same time and every day, I wait for this appliance to have issues. In summary, Whirlpool/Maytag appliances are obviously made to be disposable after 12 months. They do not stand behind their products and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I bought a Whirlpool gas hot water heater in 2005. In the first 12 months I replaced either 4 or 5 thermocouples and a total of between 15 and 20 from the time I bought it in 2006 and 2012. Only 1 time did the company replace one of them. When I would call them the rep would say things like, There may not be enough ventilation or Was it installed by a licensed technician? The 1 time they did take care of a problem the technician they sent out said NOTHING was wrong with the ventilation or the way it was installed. Oh yea, Customer Service told me that they did me a FAVOR (exact word) when they did that.In 2012 the hot water heater went out for good. The company would NOT do anything about it. I took it back to Lowes where I got it and they replaced it for me since the manufacturer wouldnt. The new hot water heater went out after only 3 years. I turned the hot water on and it was not getting hot so I checked the hot water heater to see what was going in. I found the pilot was burning, but the burner was not burning. I turned the water heater off and and checked everything out. When I tried to relight the water heater, guess what? It will not light. I am now being told that this heater has NO warranty, this 3 year old heater. There is MORE but I wont go into that now. I had an electric 36 Whirlpool, smooth top cook top for 18 yrs. Worked great, cleaned with Windex and occasional scraper. Didnt show streaks or spots. I remodeled my kitchen 10/15 and bought a KitchenAid 36 glass smooth top vented cook top. What a piece of junk. Wish I had kept my Whirlpool. I can not get it cleaned. Every little fingerprint, mark, etc. shows. I thought KitchenAid was an upgrade to whirlpool but I was surely wrong. I am glad that I didnt change my built-in double oven. I did change out the Whirlpool quiet gold dishwasher for the KitchenAid. Again, wish I kept my Whirlpool. The KitchenAid is noisier, looks terrible with the stainless inside. Our water heater pilot light has started to randomly shut off leaving us with cold water to shower in on numerous occasions. After doing what Whirlpool asked us to do it still is not working. I purchased and had professionals install a Whirlpool 30-gallon water heater in 2007. Since that time I have had issues with the unit not staying lite, but have been able to deal with it myself. Then in November 2011, it wouldnt work. After paying a plumber to come out and check everything, we got on the phone with Whirlpool who goes through their generic checklist, and after all that they agreed the control was no good. They sent a replacement part out at which time I had to pay to have put in. Now, March 2012, the same thing is going on with the unit. Customer service is their same polite self and have to go through their checklist, but unfortunately we were cut off. This was followed by calls and trying to get the same operator, who was supposed to call me back. It didnt happen. I then called and was hung up on. Finally, I had to work with another operator who again wanted to go through her checklist! She finally agreed the same control unit must be bad and is sending me a new one so I can pay to have it installed! They will not admit the unit is bad and replace it completely. I guess when buying Whirlpool you need to understand they dont back their products. It appears to be normal that a control unit from Whirlpool only has a life expectancy of 3 or 4 months. Last Whirlpool I ever buy!

The one star is just for the oven, which is still working. I have a microwave and oven combo and the microwave is used occasionally for popcorn or to reheat the food. Soon, it stopped warming up. I called the service, which is one of the worse experiences I ever had, and was fixed.Soon after, the same part got broken. But I ran out of the warranty. I bought the extended warranty and all the problems started. I was told by one of the Whirlpool representatives that before my warranty will become effective, I have to fix my microwave on my own expense. But in the Whirlpool terms and conditions, it stated clearly that they do not cover if the repairs are made by anyone other than a participating service provider or those recommended.I decided to cancel the warranty after paying the first rate but before it become effective. I fixed the microwave on my own expense with a different repair service, since the one that was recommended by Whirlpool charged almost a half of the amount as I paid for the whole unit.Within the month, the some part got broken again. I called Whirlpool to find out if this is a manufacture problem and is listed as recall. However, Whirlpool did not respond.

I had the biggest nightmare with your sorry company. On 01/05/2013, I purchased a new 50gal electric water heater from Lowes in Waco, TX. I got the unit installed and the damn thing would not heat. I followed your lame support instructions. I contacted your support tech and diagnosed everything possible. I was told I needed to have an electrician to verify that I was getting enough power. That cost me $75.00 bucks and everything checked out. He was not able to check the water heater since he was not a Whirlpool licensed tech. So I called Lowes to return the water heater. Now this is where your policy at Whirlpool suck! Lowes is not allowed to take back/exchange your crap without an RMA number. I had to get it from Whirlpool directly! I called Whirlpools customer service. They flat out refused to do so. They stated that I need to get a certified Whirlpool tech, but it was up to me to contact one! Their nearest one was from Dallas (2 hours away) and could not come out until later next week! I told the tech that its unacceptable! She even refused to get a supervisor! Plus now I blew up on this one. I had to pay the tech $75.00 up front plus the $75.00 an hour to which it would take 2 1/2 hours for repair. Meaning, I would pay more in a damn service call than the actual cost of the new water heater! Oh, but they would refund me in 60-120 days. I would first verify the work was done and if any overcharges, it would not be refunded! So I say to Whirlpool/GE, your warranty policy is a bunch of **. This includes your customer service team as well! I will never ever purchase a Whirlpool or GE product again. Samsung now has my business. May your company fold! Youre a worthless corporation that continues to rip the Americans off!

Worst appliance we have ever bought. Our last fridge (also stainless french door) we had for about 14 or 15 years and only the door bins cracked that we put gallon milk jugs in (dont do it - they are too heavy and get warm from the door opening). This fridge is a piece of junk. We were told it was stainless - rust spots started appearing the first year. The deli drawer lid broke within a month or two, but I didnt care about that so I just threw it away. The ice machine stopped working a little after the first year. Today however is what got me to write a review - I spent a couple of hours trying to duct tape and make wood supports to hold up the frame for the produce drawers - one of which is totally cracked when it fell from having the support break. While doing this I noticed there are hairline cracks on the front of all 4 of the shelves! Also, this one has a wire basket in the bottom instead of a full drawer - probably more supportive, but it means stuff constantly falls into the bottom of the fridge and it is extremely hard to get in there to clean.

Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer - Purchased my set in 2007. Has not worked properly most of the time we have owned. Lid locks our clothes in when the machine malfunctions and we have to barter with the machine for hours of Google suggestions to get the clothes back out. Still dirty. Or still soaking wet, not spun. Ive never seen so many error codes from one machine. I would never purchase this brand again. This is a comment for the person with the ice maker problem. I have a side-by-side, in-door ice dispenser that clogs up. First sign of problem is either the ice wont come out or it comes out crushed. What happens is frost builds up in the path the ice takes at a couple of different points. The only solution I have found is as soon as the problem starts I turn off the ice maker using the switch on the inside of the freezer. Then let it empty with normal use (if you wait too long youve increased your problems). The release button for the ice bin has frozen by now so you cant just lift it out. The bin needs to be empty. When it is empty, work the bin loose and take it out. Youll find that frost and maybe cubes have collected, frozen and blocked the passage. Be sure to turn the ice bin on its side and spray water into the undercarriage to melt and remove all the ice build up there. I use a hot sponge to melt the frost in the ice tube and then dry everything. This gets messy so be prepared to have water on the floor. Dry the ice bin and reinstall it. Ice cubes will be ready to drop from the ice maker so it wont be long until you have plenty. I live in Florida with high humidity so need to go through this process about once a month. Its a pain, but now it is just part of owning this unit. Good luck and hope this helps.

We purchased our Cabrio washer and dryer in 2012. In 2014 we had to replace the rollers in the dryer. Since then it makes a loud clunking sound and it has to go through at least 2 or 3 dry cycles to dry the clothes, sometimes more. The washer lid lock doesnt work very well anymore. Sometimes it wont lock so I cant get the clothes washed. It takes forever to get it to work. Ill never buy Whirlpool again.

I purchased this washing machine December 16, 2011. I paid $737.07 for this machine. 14 months later I had to repair the top of it which cost me $255 for the lid which the plastic around the lid was cracked. I had to pay $136 installation fee and two years later the exact same thing happened again, the plastic cracked. I have contacted Whirlpool which took a complaint - said that was all they could do. Ive contacted the store where I purchased it, they can do nothing. I read online there are many complaints about the lid on this washing machine. It shouldve been a recall. I will never purchase a Whirlpool product again. I will not pay to have it repaired again. I will give it away and purchase something else not whirlpool and not from Lowes. I expected some kind of compensation from whirlpool on this. I have all my receipts.

Its not even a year since I have had this washer / dryer--and I already made two service calls regarding the dryer. The washer does not get the clothes clean. When washing even one blanket, it bumps, grinds and does not wash well. I have had to do two loads compared to one in my Amana set. It is terrible. You have to stay with it while washing or always load. It gets uneven with any small load. Everyone I know hates this washer.

In 2012 we purchased a Whirlpool Nu40T61-403 water heater from Lowes that I installed due to us not being able to afford a plumber. I have since become a plumber. This morning while attempting to shower I noticed that the water was lukewarm with the shower valve turned all the way to hot. I got dressed and inspected the heater. I began to diagnose the problem. Pilot was out and Gas control valve signal light was off. Lit the pilot and it appeared to be functioning normally. My first thought was the thermopile had failed but seeing the pilot stayed lit this proved to not be the case. I was extremely relieved at that point. Turned the temperature control knob to high and the burner kicked on. At first it appeared to be functioning fine. But within about 20 seconds I began to hear detonations within the sealed combustion chamber.

I purchased a Whirlpool range from Lowes for $750.00. After 13 months, the digital circuit board went out and cost $580.00 to repair. I thought this was odd since the range was fairly new. The service tech said the boards are a common problem. Two years later, when using the self-cleaning mode, the door was locked and the board was out again. So this must be the issue because that is the same problem that happened the first time. This must be a design flaw! The board cannot handle the heat generated in self-clean mode. Way to go Whirlpool, put the board near the oven door where it is subjected to extreme heat and melts!

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Set from a local store. Just over a year later, the washer got very loud like a jet engine. Called the registered repairman, he came out took a look and said he would get back to me. Called him 3 times over 3 weeks, no show (Hoodland Appliance). Called someone else, repaired it for $400.00. Called Whirlpool, they are not interested. 2 years later now and the machine is getting loud again. This is due to the spin throws water up and it is able to get out of the tub and down into the barring and the soap residue wears the barring out. Bad design. Called Whirlpool again and again they are not interested but can put me in touch with a repairman. I will not repair again but will use until dies and buy something else not related to Whirlpool. So much for energy efficiency.

Weve owned it for 13 years now, and in that 13 years, we have had to have the computer replaced 6 times now. The latest replacement being last week (Friday). The oven is still making clicking noises like the igniter wants to start and it is frustrating and annoying. It will do this for a 3-hour stretch numerous times throughout the day and night. Had a repairman here last week and he replaced the computer AGAIN! But the igniter clicking noise continues.

I was always told by my dad that Whirlpool was the best - maybe true, 30 years ago. I know one thing if I have to buy another refrigerator - it wont be a Whirlpool. You do stand up to your name Whirlpool of trouble. If anyone reads this, please take my advice and do not buy a Whirlpool. I have a washer and dryer thats Whirlpool too. They work but I wont have anything in my house that says Whirlpool on it. Its too bad that they were a great product at one time. Consumer Reports should do something about this company or the BBB. Im so mad I cant even spell well. Thats my 2 cents on Whirlpool of crap.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio HE top loading washer and front-loading dryer about 7 years ago. It has been okay, but nothing special. Recently it began stopping in the middle of the cycle and showing an F51 error. Then all of a sudden the noise during spin was deafening. Brought out a tech, who came and did some eval. Left with some basic maintenance. Did a load, and happily no more F51 code, but still so very loud during spin cycle.Called again; tech returned and said that drum and shaft would likely need to be replaced to the tune of some $500. The same story as others have told. We should have bought the extended warranty. Like others, I also felt that washers lasted at least 10 years. And that seemed a short time given expectations in the past of 20 years of service. Im disappointed in Whirlpool. Even though Consumer Reports gives the Whirlpool Duet washer (new 2013) one of its highest reviews, I cant bring myself to buy another Whirlpool product. It appears to me that this warrants recall as well.

This microwave usually has great reviews but I think I just got a dud. I purchased this model (WMH53520CS-0) as part of my new home build. After 9 months the door sensor broke and anytime we would go to run the microwave, it would tell you to open/close the door. Whirlpool sent out a certified factory dealer to fix the problem. They found it to be a faulty control panel and replaced it. After that was replaced, the exhaust fan broke. Whirlpool sent out that dealer again with the new part, and everything was working perfectly. Flash forward a whole 24 hours later, and the microwave would make the loudest sound ever and shut off after 3 seconds and blow the fuse. Turns out the turntable motor had broke and the NEW control panel was already faulty. The turntable motor part was on back order for a month and I am still currently waiting for it to be shipped to me while I have a microwave shut off collecting dust. As most anyone would be, I was extremely frustrated knowing that Whirlpool has spent at least 4 times more sending out certified dealers and replacing parts, than if they were to just order me a new microwave. They stood firm on their policy even if it meant a customer without a working microwave for over a month. Whirlpool did offer me a nice $75 debit card that took 4 weeks to arrive to help pay for a temporary microwave, but they would not work with me when I asked for the warranty to be extended 3 or 6 months. I wanted that peace of mind and its frustrating that for 2 of my 12 month warranty, the microwave was completely broken.Overall, its a nice microwave when its working but with all I have had to go through, I wouldnt recommend this model nor any Whirlpool appliances...

I purchased refrigerator in 2010 through Sears. The freezer door began collapsing (like the air was being sucked out) and Whirlpool sent a replacement. I should have known at that point - they had over 20 in stock instead of making it to order with a several week wait as the rep expected. I complained again (out of warranty for the refrigerator, but less than a year for the replacement door) and was given the too bad, so sad - next question routine. Now the freezer wont hold frozen food. If I turn up the dial, I end up with frozen lettuce, etc. So much for Whirlpool! Im not so much angry at this point as I am talky - at the grocery store to perfect strangers, at church, etc. Im disappointed that Consumers didnt respond - they still rate Whirlpool fairly high - makes me doubt Consumers, too.

I bought a portable dishwasher on 6/29/15. It didnt clean well, didnt drain properly. (I followed guidelines from the USER INFORMATION and used rinse). I called a plumber to clean out my pipes. My dishes were still dirty. I purchased an entire soft water system from Culligan. My dishes were still dirty. I called Whirlpool and Pacific Sales where I bought the machine, and got no assistance. On 10/2014 I spent $263.50 to repair and replace parts so the machine would drain. Sometime in January of 2015 it stopped draining again. I just got off the phone with Whirlpool who will not take any responsibility for this lemon. You offered me a policy to purchase for over $200!!! You want me to spend MORE money on a machine that never worked right???? How is that help? How is that standing behind your product? Then there was some lame offer to pay for parts, ONLY if I used your extremely expensive repair people and pay for labor, and $139 just to show up at my door. I asked who I can write to or talk to about this and was told by Sherri that there was no one to talk to but her. Really? I purchased this refrigerator and have had problems with it from almost the beginning. First, the doors wholl not stay open long enough to remove items. The technician Whirlpool sent out said the cause was an uneven floor. I checked with a level and the floor is almost completely even. So, then it said thats the way it was intended to work. Isnt that what the adjustment wheels on the bottom are supposed to correct? They dont. One individual in Whirlpools customer service department told me that the doors were not a functional part of the fridge and, therefore were not covered by the warranty. What?Next the refrigerator leaked and ruined the ceiling in the floor below. A few weeks after that was fixed (the fridge, not the ceiling), the unit completely shut down and I lost a tremendous amount of food. Bad enough to have to go through this but then to have Whirlpool treat me so the horribly was absurd. Fridge broke on Friday and a service person came out on Wednesday. Tech tells me he has to order the part (control box) and I find out the next day that the part was on back order. I had already been without a fridge for a week when Whirlpool tells me the part was not available until 9/19 (this was on 8/6)! That was not an acceptable solution so I requested a refund or a new fridge. Nope, their job is to repair, not replace. They said they needed 7-10 days to see if they could get the part earlier. What? Then if it couldnt be repaired in a reasonable amount of time they would consider replacing the appliance. They would not define reasonable amount of time.I believe I spoke to about 10 or 12 different whirlpool reps, and was told 4 times that a supervisor would return my call. One person did call back when I was unable to answer the phone and I called her back within 20 minutes. Guess what, she wasnt available and she never responded to my 3 return calls. When I complained that I had spoken to so many different people and was tired of telling the fridge saga to yet another person who would not help me, she volunteered to be my point person. She gave me her direct extension and said she would handle my case. I left 3 or 4 messages for her and she never returned my call. In other words, I was constantly told that I would receive return calls but never did. In summary, no one cared that I had an almost brand new Whirlpool refrigerator that was not working and that the date I could expect a repair was indefinite. In addition to all of that, every time I called they were experiencing a high call volume. Maybe they could hire more staff? When this all started, Home Depot told me I had to go through Whirlpool because it was under their warranty for the first year. Finally I decided to go to the store (after all, I did pay them for the fridge). After 3.5 hours in Home Depot, they agreed to replace the refrigerator. I havent gotten it yet (they did send over a small loaner), I am really hoping this is the end of this fiasco. I want my life back!! !

I purchased a washer and dryer set, the Cabrio Platinum Series WTW8500BRO, about 3 years ago. I had a UL code come up a year ago and the machine was serviced and all was back to normal. Then only 9 months later it started acting up again. This time it sounds like an airplane taking off and there is a black spatter leaking from underneath, also the lid lock stopped engaging. I started to look up the error code for the lid lock and while reviewing that issue it was an easy fix, however, the noise and black spatter issue led me to tons of horrible reviews about this product. It is a bearing/tub/shaft issue that is going to cost me $500 to fix. First off I did not pay cash for this set, I rented it for 3 years and paid twice what it’s worth, around $4,000. Stupid on my part but I couldn’t afford it the other way. Weekly payments were easier. Now I am scared to fix this product because of all the reviews I’ve seen from other consumers. I haven’t had the other issues like dirty clothes, not enough water, high cycle times because they all start with a high number but after it configured the load the time shrinks, but this major issue about the bearings, they say I have to replace the entire tub assembly which is half the cost of the unit. So stupid and I cannot believe Whirlpool is getting away with this crap. Please please please inform me about any lawsuits. I will gladly participate in that. They should be held accountable for such a worthless piece of junk. Like I said I am now afraid to fix this machine because from what I’m reading, more than likely it will only last a short time.

On 3/31/2012, we purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator (model #ED5FVGXWS07, serial #HR14602963) from the electronic appliance store called SuperCo, located at 17523 Colima Road, City of Industry, CA. Within around a month, we noticed that things kept in the refrigerator all showed weird phenomena; raw eggs were frozen inside the shells and ice is frozen on food and utensils stored, not in the freezer, but on the fridge side. At the same time, all food kept in the refrigerator turned bad easily, especially during summer time. Cooked food went bad and had a bad smell within just three days of being kept in the fridge. Also, the ventilator-like part on top of the fridge (the part which released cold air) had ice frozen around it from time to time.Obviously, the fridge was not working, as the freezer was not cold enough and the side was either making food turn bad or causing ice to freeze on stuff kept inside. The temperature seemed to be extremely uneven inside. We then asked SuperCo for repairs or a replacement, but they refused and referred us back to the manufacturer, Whirlpool. Repair services have been called three times on 2012, according to the paperwork records I have: a) on 5/31/2012, bad damper was broken and replaced; b) on 6/7/2012, (according to paper records from SuperCo), replaced parts; and c) on 6/20/2012, turned ice maker off and cleaned (the hand writing was hard to read). Then, around December of 2012, after the services, we experienced another great problem with this fridge again. When ice cream was kept in the freezer, they appear to have melted and my brother suffered from diarrhea after eating the ice cream. The ventilator-like part on top of the fridge still had ice frozen around it. We then took pictures as fresh vegetables kept at the bottom drawer of the fridge had ice frozen on it, too. I finally emailed Whirlpool through their official website on 2/7/2013 and asked for a new fridge replacement based on the Lemon Rule. An e-solutions specialist, Judy, replied that the product was warranted for a specified time period for repairs, not the replacement of the product, and Whirlpool declined my request for a replacement.Repair service was then requested by me for the fourth time, through email. On 2/21/2013, this fourth repair company came and checked the fridge. After a detailed inspection, the technician concluded that some parts of the fridge needed to be replaced, one of the parts called the thermostat. Strangely, after he called his company, he changed all that he said before and claimed that the fridge was 100% working and that no repairs were needed at all. Even when we showed him the frozen vegetables from the fridge side that we got recently, he insisted that the fridge had no problems at all and left. The way Whirlpool responded to my request was extremely disappointing, with their refusal to replace the fridge after three complete repair visits, and the fourth visit changing the inspection conclusion with no reason. Of course, the disappointment is greatest with the extremely bad quality of this electronic appliance. As of this moment, my fridge could still not keep food well and is causing us bad health. I think the only way I could go to now is to take action against the company for the lemon refrigerator, for breach of warranty, and maybe fraud.

Update Review on 10/15/2020: New refrigerator 12/31/19. 4/27/20 Fridge terribly noisy, called Whirlpool directed to local provider. 5/5/20 Fan replaced, drawer clip broken. 5/11/20 Drawer repaired. 5/21/20 Fridge not keeping up, repair company said new compressor needed. 7/6/20 After numerous calls and literally hours on hold with Whirlpool compressor install but still seemed noisy. 9/30/20 Fridge partially cooling, no ice and water dispenser not working. Repair company ordered new evaporator cover and UI panel.10/15/20 Neither the repair company or Whirlpool know when the parts will be delivered. Whirlpool has no record of their being a service call or parts ordered. I talked to one rude, unhelpful and uninformed service rep. After following their instructions and using their recommended warranty provider, they claim not to have the issues in their system and cant be used to determine the repair/replacement of their unit. He indicated, You need 3 major repairs in 30 days to get a replacement fridge. It took them 6 1/2 weeks to repair the compressor. How can it break that many times in 30 days with that bad of service. Nothing is repaired in 30 days. The current rep seems to care and have a working knowledge. She is sending a request to determine when a part might be delivered. She couldnt give any indication of when the part might be delivered to complete the repair. Days? Weeks? Or again Months? An hour and a half on the phone with very little progress. New refrigerator with 3 major repairs and one small one in 9 months. Terrible refrigerator and extremely poor service! Go with another brand.Original Review: Refrigerator new in January 2020. The first issue was an extremely loud fan.It was replaced. While being repaired, service tech broke a tab on the door. (It happens) Another call to replace the tab. During May I notice its not making ice and freezer isnt keeping up. Lose all items in freezer. Now the 4th call on new refrigerator, tech says needs a compressor and orders while at my house. Soon the refrigerator isnt keeping cool. Now 34 days later, still not fixed. Whirlpool service provider blames Whirlpool. Whirlpool says they are shipping compressors but cant exactly say mine is delivered. Apparently, 4 service calls in 5 months and over a month with a totally broken refrigerator is their bar for a good product and service. Neither their approved service provider or Whirlpool care in the least. Awful service. Try another brand!

I purchased a Whirlpool (Cabrio) Washer on March 1 2018. I previously had a Roper top loader with an agitator that was 22 years old. I used that washer for that many years and washed clothes 6 out of the 7 days of the week. Probably at least 20 loads a week. I never had a problem with it getting my clothes wet & clean. It never left them dirtier after washing them than they were before washing them. I am so disappointed in this washer!!! I can see it will not do any good to complain to Whirlpool because apparently they dont care about their customers. They think theyre products are perfect when they are far from it. I plainly told the associate I wash clothes every day. Really dirt clothes. (My son is a mechanic). I need a good washer. I can wash them by hand better than this washer does. I am very thankful I have not paid the full price for this washer yet. I will be calling them to come pick it up when my next payment is due. I will be going to one of the local consignment or thrift stores and purchasing myself an old timey top loader washer with an agitator for $100 or less. Whirlpool I had high hopes with this product and would have been buying a dryer to match soon but I believe I will stick to my Roper products or anything other than Whirlpool.

Occasionally, the machine simply decides to stop and drain itself so that you can start all over again!! No idea how long cycle is. Nearly done? No idea. We purchased a Cabrio top loading washer (WTW6400SW2) and a Cabrio dryer (WGD6200SW1) in 2007. From day one the washer has tied clothes in knots, never cleaned the clothes properly, and sputters the detergent and bleach unevenly. The fabric softener dispenser clogs up too, rendering it useless. The knotting of the clothes leaves them so tightly wrinkled they come out of the dryer very wrinkled. The water level, determined by the washers self-sensor that weighs each load, does not fully submerge the clothes. The manual says this is normal operation for this model and that it will not affect the cleaning process. Wrong. The small agitator is insufficient to clean the clothes but does a wonderful job of twisting them in long, tight knots. I want to kick myself every time I walk past the washer for paying so much money for such a poorly designed washer. I was very sick when they were first delivered and wasnt able to do much laundry. By the time I was well enough to do more with it, I noticed the clothes werent getting clean and were actually being damaged by the washers process thanks to uneven detergent distribution/spotting from the clothes sitting above the water level, and being poorly agitated and rinsed. Before I knew it, my warranty had expired. It was a very hectic year. Ive been very sick. We purchased it from Lowe’s. I had their techs out a time or two to check it in the beginning, but they always smoothed it over with some waffy, generic explanation. Eventually, I was past my 30-day trial period. I was on my own with Whirlpool, whod refer me to the manual and make me feel like I just had to get used to the new technology of the self-sensoring washer. Ive read that Whirlpool is aware of this issue and doing nothing. Ive read other complaints that describe the same problems I have and its obvious this is a design flaw. I appreciate these posts because I least I dont feel like Im insane anymore. No, just horribly ripped off by Whirlpool.

I will keep this brief because many of our issues on our 18-month-old washer are in other reviews. The anger I feel towards Whirlpool Customer Service and the logic they use in providing repairs on a “goodwill” basis are unbelievable. After a Whirlpool certified appliance repair person diagnosed our fairly new washer as requiring the entire guts to be replaced... transmission, bucket, etc., we were told the repair bill would be over $1,300! Are you kidding me... the washer only cost in the mid $500 range, and now Whirlpool is going to do us a big favor and cover that outrageous bill! I told the customer service supervisor to please give us a new washer and take away our broken washer and use it for parts (if there any good parts left in this miserable machine). His reply “thats not going to happen”. He used this phrase to us at least 20 times during our service call until I finally told him I thought his attitude was aggressive and demeaning. I refuse to be bullied by a major manufacturer for a substandard product.I can only warn you when considering Whirlpool (and every major appliance in our two homes are Whirlpool) that you should use due diligence in your selection. We paid extra to upgrade all our Whirlpool appliances in our homes and I will never make that mistake again. And don’t get me started on the white film that covers my dark clothes. They say I use too much detergent... not true. I am not stupid and understand the HE requirement to cut way back on soap.

Whirlpool side by side - What more can I say? A 1-year warranty is all Whirlpool can afford to give anyone since the compressor broke a few months after. They are paying for parts, but we are paying $300 for labor to fix a $1,200 fridge... in addition to having to be without it for a month, losing defrosted food, etc. Fortunately, the dealer gave us a loaner.

Purchased a larger hot water heater after reviewing the offerings from the big box stores. Obtained a 40 gallon Lo-Nox type. No problem. Found that I did not have time to install and 3 months later had a company install for almost $300. Within the first month the pilot went out at least 5 times. Had the install company come out and take care of the problem. Worked OK for 2 months and now the pilot light goes out again. Watched the flames myself and find them to be yellow. OK, so try to see what the situation is, call the installer, then call technical support. I am in a basement, on a cell phone and the representative basically has zero patience, zero tolerance for questions, treats me like an idiot and probably has never looked at any of the guides but keeps harping on me.I asked 5 times for patience and guidance not to be treated like an idiot. As time went on it was clear that the representative has zero experience in front of the product or the information in the install guides. She kept calling it a manual and I tried at least 3 times to ensure that her manual is the install guide. She never did affirm. I stated I wanted my money back and she stated no. Whirlpool has a very skillful representative to keep consumers away. However this consumer is a small apt owner that purchases appliances, as well as hot water tanks microwaves etc. No longer will I purchase anything Whirlpool. Oh I will send a complaint about this rep, and she said thats fine send it to the PO box Total lack of product knowledge and not even skillful in a conversation asking for assistance. The installer also stated that this product has horrible reviews. I wish I had seen them before all of this. Total frustration and something unwarranted. I am out $900 and am replacing the tank with a Bradford white from the plumber. Lesson learned. Good bye Whirlpool, hope others stay away from Whirlpool everything. Choosing another brand is the only thing that makes businesses wake up and smell the money.
