I find this to have perfect storage space both in the top for standard refrigerator and the bottom freezer. I would recommend this not for the style, the amount of room but also the quality. I have not been disappointed.

We got a brand new bottom freezer french door Whirlpool refrigerator in our brand new apartment. Since we moved in last week the temperature control in the refrigerator box has failed three times. The freezer stays cold but the coils are frosted solid and no cooling gets up to the refrigerator box. We turned on moisture control but that didnt help. The users manual is completely useless and in fact doesnt even match the control panel. The numbers for temperature settings on the instructions dont match the numbers on the panel. We had to turn off and thaw out the unit completely three times already and this is just the first week! Last night the building maintenance guys came in and sprayed the back panel of the freezer with warm water. He said he talked to the GE tech, who suggested we also increase the freezer temperature settings to 4 and the refrigerator to 44. But this morning the temperature rose again. It sure sounds to me like the daily defrost cycle isnt running at all and nobody wants to consider that possibility. Thaw the unit several times a week is completely ridiculous. Our food has experienced so many temperature excursions who knows whether its any good now. I cant wait to get my first taste of salmonella. This is what you get when you combine junk with poor service.

After owning the highly recommended Cabrio for only 2 years, I was told it would cost $300 for the motherboard!! I have always used Whirlpool but this machine is terrible. Water saving is not an option when washing clothes. Unless I use the bulky cycle, my clothes come out dry and smell dirty.

We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in January at Home Depot. In July we started noticing that the freezer doesnt work. The ice maker doesnt work, everything melt away. Frozen items were lost. We constantly have to dry the floor since it is leaking water. We called whirlpool on July 27 and they send someone to check it out the following day. He reported that we need a new freezer door. I call for a follow up, I was told that it will take 6-8 weeks before we get a new door and part for the ice maker. We recently called to follow up on the status of the door just to find out that the order didnt get process until mid August. In the meanwhile, the fridge is having condensation. Water is everywhere inside. Fruits are being rotten because of too much moisture. We called again and they send out the same technician. The technician reported that the fridge will not work properly until freezer is fix. We call whirlpool again just for them to tell us to wait for the part, and gave us an extra 6 month warranty.

Bought in 2009 brand new set washer and dryer together at Best Buy. The washing machine in 2011 started its never ending problems. I’ve paid for parts & labor for the door lock sensor mechanism multiple times where I learned to repair that myself even buying parts and installing on my own last time... Then a drain pump went bad. Replaced that. Now a code f51 sensor to a motor rotor not spinning issue. Horrible. All the money and time in this unreliable machine is so awful. This thing also isn’t that great when it works too. Goes unlevel way too much having to redistribute and restart cycles all the time... Wish it washed better for the price and all the trouble. It is the worst machine. Has to be! Everyone I know can’t believe the fight I’ve had through the years with this machine. The company doesnt help you. Costly headache Junk machine!

After many phone calls and letters to Whirlpool about the AquaLift cleaning system in their new stoves, that does not work at all. I finally spoke to someone at the corporate office with a brain! I am happy because Whirlpool refunded my money and removed the stove. That was the outcome I was looking for as this new steam clean thing of theirs does not work on a dirty oven. Hopefully, they will work on improving these stoves and restore consumer confidence once again.

I am very disappointed in my purchase of Whirlpool High-Efficiency washer and dryer. It does not clean my clothes! I have white towels in my bathrooms, I have them for years. They have always come out perfectly white with the regular washer I had for years. Not any more! They now come out with yellow spots all over them. Dark clothes come out with a white residue on them that looks like there has been a napkin in the wash. I talked to Sears where I purchased it, they said I might be using too much detergent, so I have tried using less to no avail! I hate my washer!

Ice maker has stopped making ice on several occasions. Also when you try to get ice out of the door dispenser, it will continues to release ice but will not go down the chute and when you open refrigerator door it spills out all over the place. Getting ice other than from the door is no easy task. I have taken to putting a bowl under the ice dispenser. Interior of refrigerator is not user friendly for positioning items. Bought in a hurry back in 2017 and have regretted it ever since.

This is an ongoing problem. I have had to thaw the refrigerator (which takes over 24 hours). Then I blow out the drain with my air compressor, run water through, etc. The drain freezes up a good way down. It is a big pain in the **. There has to be a design flaw for this to continually happen. I paid for a repair man one time but he did nothing different from what I am doing. I cant afford the prices they charge. I bought a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes in the fall of 2009. For the first 4 years it worked fine. Since the spring of 2015, it started to stop working. I called the company, and they recommend their contractors to fix it. In less than a year, I had it repaired at least ten times. I spent more to repair it than I bought it. This water heater has a 10-year warranty on it. Per the companys recommendation, I replaced the thermocouple, clean it, have it regularly serviced. The technician told us we need to change the gas valve assembly. When I called, they sent a burner assembly. When I called, they asked me about the exhaust pipe, whether it is go through the roof or go through the side of the house. I took several pictures of the exhaust system and sent to them. I called, one of the people on the company side said my exhaust was wrong, and need to be repaired by a HVAC company. I asked what is wrong? They dont tell me. I sent emails, and called to ask an answer, and got nothing. My impression is that they dont want to deal with the issues and simply want the consumer to get tired and replace the water heater. It really shows the total disregard of the interest of the consumers. This should not be the way people do business in the United States. When a big company has large numbers of lawyers, they can ignore the law. What a corrupt system!

Every product from LG are good. The one coming from GE and sub cie as Whirlpool etc. are very cheap. Brought a five burner Whirlpool range on June 9, 2018. On Christmas Eve the door fell off and I had a house of 20 guest. Couldn’t cook at all, and cook Christmas either. Call them immediately on December 26, 2018. They set up a schedule for the following week on Monday. The man showed up. Could not believe how this could happen is that he had ordered me a whole new. Dealer said it will be back on Thursday or Friday that week. The serviceman still hasn’t called and it’s Friday. Called the serviceman no answer so here I go another week or two with no oven. The oven door fell when I opened it to take food out and fell in my legs. Have a nice black and blue. Maybe I should think of suing them instead of getting it fixed.

I have the Whirlpool Gold microwave model GMH3204XVQ-1 manufactured in May of 2010. The plastic around the lower door handle is cracking (currently in 4 directions from the handle) and the plastic on the side of the control panel is cracking in the center area and lower side. Neither of these area experience abnormal stress in day-to-day use. Unfortunately I could not get a good photo of the other crack on the lower corner of the control panel but included the one on the side in the middle. I contacted Whirlpool customer support about 1-2 months ago and to date, have not received any type of response or concern from them about this issue.

After over a week informed that the machine complaints of Tub Support, Seal, Bearing, Drive etc. and the estimate is Rs.5,900/- including transportation (hardly 6 kms). The machine cost was only Rs.16,900/- then. I am surprised to know that just after 3 months of expiration of warranty the machine went wrong and the cost or repair costs me Rs.5,900/- is very huge. I ordered a washer dryer combination through Whirlpool. I was given a delivery date 2 weeks out. Whirlpool employees must be doing their laundry very sparingly if they think that this would not put a strain on a household. But I was willing to wait. I asked the date and they wouldnt give it to me. A week later they called with the date and I asked the time. Again they wouldnt give it to me. However they said they would give me the time the night before. They then called with the time, which was during work hours. I told them I would be unable to do this during work hours and they gave me the only other optional date, also during work hours. I finally agreed and took a 1/2 personal day. When I arrived home. I received a phone call from Whirlpool that they will not be delivering my washer/dryer unit at all and to pick a different date. I canceled altogether.UPDATED ON 02/24/2016: I have worked hard to not get upset at companies. However I feel that this is an especially poor company and I cant remain silent anymore. I bought a Duet Washer and dryer over the phone with Whirlpool. It took 3.5 weeks for it to get delivered because Whirlpool kept cancelling. Each time, I took a 1/2 personal day so that I could meet the delivery people within their 4-hour window frame. On the 3rd attempt, they were finally delivered and set up by the delivery men.During the 2nd time I ever used the product, it stopped working, making a horrible grinding noise. I had to unplug the machine. My husband came home and hes pretty handy. However he was unable to even press 1 button. I had a friend in the repair business come the next day and he was unable to repair it. I called Whirlpool again and they said theyd have a repairman out the next day. They outsourced the job to a local company and Whirlpool sent me a confirmation email with a time and date. Again I took a 1/2 personal day. After hearing from no one, I called the repair company. They said they had no record of me in the system. I cried.I called Whirlpool and was put on hold for 3 hours. I hung up and called again. They said my department closed 8 minutes ago and they couldnt take my call. I asked how that could happen considering you began the call 3 hours before that time and would have stayed on hold until I died had I not decided to hang up and try again. Every time previous to this I had been on hold for a minimum of 1 hour.I have been trying to return the product. They tell me that Im unable to because my product is functional. I told them it was in fact not functional, which was about the 3rd time I said this, and they said Ill have to call back 1st thing in the morning. I told them I cant risk any more work time to deal with this poor company. So they put me on hold again and thats where I remain. I am currently going on 27 minutes.

I first want to begin by saying that we have been a Whirlpool family for years. I now own a Whirlpool microwave, hot water heater, washer/dryer, Jenn-Air stove and dishwasher. My problem now is with the Cabrio Washer purchased in 2008. I started having problems in 2011 and the same problem has raised its ugly head again. When I try to use the Clean cycle, it starts at a 60-minute cycle and goes down to a 2-minute cycle in 3 minutes without cleaning or even running water into the tub. This time, it made a terrible noise and stopped. The tub was replaced in July 2011 after having the same complaint as above. The repairman said that the mechanism on the tub to fit into the spinning cycle is made of plastic and is not holding up. Also, in March 2012, a new control board was installed. I spoke to Whirlpool Customer Service and they informed me that they did not have any other complaints about the Clean cycle and that I should call the repairman. Luckily, I purchased an extended warranty. I vote a thumbs down on the Cabrio washer.

Whirlpool Model WDT920SADM0 Dishwasher. We built a new modular home so Abraham Builders ordered all my kitchen appliances in 2014. We did not move in and start using the appliances until June, 2016. Here is what happened during the first 6 months: 1) Would not dissolve dry soap or packets as there were still particles and plastic in the dispenser. 2) Dishes were not getting clean and were spotty. 3) Would not dry dishes, ever!!! 4) Parts would keep popping off as we would find them on the bottom or hanging down. 5) Final straw was this morning around 4 a.m. (12/4/16)... woke up to the smell of wire burning in the house and discovered it was coming from the dishwasher that we had put on delay wash that night and when we opened the door, smoke came out from inside!!Since it was past purchase warranty date, we had no warranty and the builder would not return any of my calls on any problems and the manufacturer of my house closed the factory. Needless to say, we now have to spend another $900+ for another dishwasher! Not happy at all about this Whirlpool model and would not recommend it.

I called customer service line regarding my Cabrio Automatic Washer (Model No: WTW6600SW2; Serial No: CU2171019) purchased on 11/24/07, to report and ask for assistance with a chronic ongoing service problem. Several calls in the past and service visits (at my cost) did not rectify the problem. Although there are many similar complaints on this machine regarding the loud noise and resulting problems during the spin cycle that involve the tub and rods, the representative said So sorry or Too bad we cannot not help you.My machine now does not run and is less than 4 years old --just like every other report. I get an error message F which the representative alluded to something involving the electronics. Machines purchased in 2004 from Whirlpool have across-the-board similar problems that Whirlpool refuses to take ownership for. This machine is their top of the line model. I dont feel the financial burden of repair or purchase of a new machine should be on the shoulders of the consumer. We bought in good faith from Whirlpool and expect Whirlpool to live up to their responsibilities. Thank you for any help you can provide.Rae **

I have had my stove for 3 years and it works fine. However since I have become a grandparent, I have been extremely worried about the chance of being burnt. the problem is once you turn off the burner, it doesnt look any different than it does when not in use. It stays hot for a very long time however. Hot enough to burn or melt anything. There is no blocking a child from reaching up and touching it. I have placed a loaf of bread near it only to have it melt down the side. The burner didnt look hot at all. This was at least 15 min. after turning off the burner. Im not trying to cause issues but I believe this is a real danger, not only at the risk of someone getting a burn but also to the point of an entire family losing their home or even their lives. A simple flammable item being knocked over could start a fire. I ask that someone look into these risk.

Even with the hottest water on the most heavy duty setting, regular dinner
Even with the hottest water on the most heavy duty setting, regular dinner plates are not cleaned. The flatware holders that are set in the door (instead of free-standing in a rack) do not have adequate holes in the holders and are too far away from the limited jets to get adequate soap and water to cleanse the flatware. Even after rinsing all scraps off the plates and flatware, we find bits of food, gravy, or smudges on the plates and flatware - since its first usage. The manufacturer had the audacity to claim that was normal. Settings include delayed starting, heavy duty versus normal washing, and different types of drying. The heavy duty washing is definitely poor quality, and there seems to be no difference between any of the drying settings. The delayed start is nice. The physical layout of the prongs on the racks and the folding racks do not allow easy fit for most sizes of pots plus plates on the same bottom rack. I cannot put a 1 gallon pot level on the same rack as dinner plates. I must put it beside salad plates. Only small sauce pans fit neatly or cleanly beside dinner plates. Yet the external dimensions of this dishwasher are the same as the competitors standard size. Looks neat and is easy to clean. Also, the exterior does not show scratches. Actually, I cannot see where the exterior has any scratches. The service people were very little help. The Warranty said that after five (5) service calls the unit would be replaced. We made six (6) service calls, but we were told that we did NOT have six because if you called again within 90 days of a call, that was considered the same service call. That requires 450 days minimum to have five (5) qualified service calls, but that warranty was good for only 365 days!

Purchased a Whirlpool Electric Range August 2015. Purchased it because it looked pretty and the Aqua Lift Cleaning feature sounded too good to be true. As it turned out it WAS too good to be true! I have just read a # of reviews about this range and I agree with all complaints. Does anyone like this range? The AquaLift cleaning technology is a joke! The baking temperature fluctuates & I could not figure out how to improve on that (for the longest time I thought it was just me not being able to figure out my new oven). The most serious concern however, happened a couple of weeks ago when I turned on the oven & immediately the oven started to smoke and an electrical smell permeated throughout the house. Had I started the oven and immediately left the house our house would no doubt have been destroyed by an explosion/fire.Phoned Whirlpool & because the problem was so serious they had a serviceman at our door within 2 days (yes I am being sarcastic, it did take 2 days). At no time did the call centre express any concern nor did they advise me to unplug the range and to make sure I did not use it. Obviously, I would not use it but shouldnt that be something they advise as part of the checklist talking points.Serviceman arrives 2 days later & advises us that the parts alone would cost $650.00 & oh yes the labour costs to install the parts would be charged by the minute. I didnt even ask him how much per minute because only an idiot would repair this piece of junk!! The power cord to the range had basically melted right through; you could scrape the char right off the cord. The computer part of the range was shot and had a strong electrical smell to it. The serviceman basically said that I shouldnt shoot the messenger and charged us 93.45 to tell us that it was going to be a very costly repair.I disliked this range almost immediately and was looking forward to the day when I would have an excuse to purchase another electrical range. I did not think I would be shopping for another range within 1 1/2 years from the time I purchased this piece of crap!!! Nor did I think that there would be a possibility that this appliance could potentially be hazardous to my family and home. How long is Whirlpool going to ignore all these customer complaints? This range should be recalled! It not only is selling features such as the Aqua Lift technology that do not work properly, it is selling a potential fire hazard.I will never again purchase any appliance that is made by Whirlpool. Whirlpool makes a lot of appliances and uses names such as Maytag, Amana. KitchenAid, etc. I have purchased another range and this one is made by Frigidaire (no connection whatsoever to Whirlpool). I dont know what my experience will be with my new Frigidaire Range but so far I am loving it! Hopefully, my new appliance will not nearly burn my house down. Whirlpool: Step up to the plate & take responsibility for the defective electrical range you are selling before there is serious harm to persons or property! THIS ELECTRIC RANGE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED - MODEL # YWFE715HDEHD.

GX5FHTXVQ03 - Our whirlpool refrigerator/freezer has been leaking from the freezer for a couple of years (purchased in 2011). An ice sheet builds up in the freezer unit, then leaks out. We have gone through countless attempts to defrost and correct, disconnecting the ice maker, and a replacement part that accomplished nothing. I see online numerous people have experienced this same problem. It appears to be a design defect. Made another call to Whirlpool today. They are willing to schedule a service call for us... at our expense. Gee, thanks! Hey, but they are sorry about our warped oak hardwood floor. That sure makes me feel better. WE WILL NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL AGAIN!

I have had my Kitchenaid dishwasher since April 2010. I have the receipt as proof. I have recently had a professional out to replace a seal in the door, the gasket on the vent and the unit still leaks. The only places left are the metal body and door. I called to say I wanted the warranty honored. I was told one of their servicers had to verify. I agreed. Their servicer came out at the agreed time. He did not bother to protect my hardwood floors from his muddy shoes. He also absolutely wreaked of cigarette smoke. He proceeded to try and push me into paying for the same repairs I had done last week because he would not warranty the parts under warranty unless I paid him to replace parts a week old. I told him he was here to verify the leak not push me into more repair costs. At this point, he began slamming his tool box together and exclaimed Thanks for wasting my time. I called the Kitchenaid warranty number in my pamphlet to see about the warranty. They refused without making me pay for their esteemed professional to do the same work, a real professional already did. The best I was given was 30% off a new appliance. When they wont honor their 20 yr warranty on the one I have, telling me their unprofessional is so much better than the one I used who did protect my floors and treated me with respect, I have no faith left in this company or its servicers. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I plan to be very vocal with this companys refusal to stand behind their products and explicit support of disrespectful servicemen.

I purchased a Top load Whirlpool washing machine, replacing my old Whirlpool. I am so unhappy with this new one. I noticed that the water level are low...I had the tech here twice and they said that if here isnt any lights on the dash that the machine is working. I called the head tech, same answer. When I put the clothes in the washer I make sure that the clothes are evenly placed in the tub. The clothes comes out tangled and some not clean. Tonight I noticed that a pair of pant at the bottom of the load had white smudges/ I am so unhappy with this piece of junk/ I cant afford to buy another washer, so I am stuck with this.. I have tried all the different controls, still bad. I know the new machine are different than the old ones. I still believe that the water levels controls are not working. I have used my sister new washers and the clothes are not tangled and they are all clean.

I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. She told me the same thing. I told her that its not as if Im looking for a new washer. She said that there was nothing they could do; I had to pay for the repairs myself. I told her, After spending almost $1,000 on a washer, I have to pay for the repairs? She said, Yes, maam. I asked if I could speak to someone over her. She said that she had to take down my name and number and someone would call me back in 24 hrs ... from the management team. She asked for my number and not my name and said someone would be calling back. I told her, How are you going to forward the message without a name? Maam, Im sorry. Whats your name? I doubt if anyone will be calling me back. Whirlpool customer service sucks! They dont know how to treat their customers. Watch out for the warranty. What they call a warranty is not.

I will make this short. If there was a part that could break on my Whirlpool fridge, it broke. Whirlpools 3rd party repair company (Flamingo Appliance Services, who are awful themselves) was at my home countless times. This last time, they were replacing the same malfunctioning part for the THIRD TIME. The Flamingo technician (Nicholas) insured me that the issues were not related, despite the same exact part being replaced 3 times. I told him that I believed that was a dishonest statement, and he left the fridge un-repaired. Now Whirlpool nor Flamingo will help, and I am stuck with a non-functional fridge, and small children at home. Whirlpool and Flamingo represent everything I despise, have zero integrity, and are a reading on the barometer of where our country is headed.

Expected to come day before Thanksgiving, repairman cannot schedule until part arrives thus no guarantee date of fix. Found part online from AppliancePartsPro.com. They shipped it one day later - fixed dishwasher. Whirlpool will not stand behind part because it did not come from them. I have all the proof that it is a Whirlpool Certified Part from a Appliance Parts Pro. Appears Whirlpool would rather have a broken machine in a home rather than help the customer fix it.

We are having our second major issue with our Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRF757SDEM but unfortunately at 1-1/2 years old, it is out of warranty. Although the certified repairman says that the issue with the thermostat is a known issue and the company created a whole new part to fix the problem, there is no recall. Customer service was lousy. They deny any know issue (again, they created a new part they will sell us to fix the issue) and they mocked us for not buying their warranty after having the first problems with their fridge. This new problem will cost over $300 to fix. Why is there no recall if they knew about the issue?

A whirlpool water heater model FG1F5040T3 purchased from Lowes five years ago developed problems, which could not be fixed. My problems started two weeks ago when the pilot light would not stay lit eight hours at a time and then nothing. Having a service plan through our utilities, they were notified not once but as it stands now, 6 times. Six techs have been out to my house and replaced the thermocouple twice and a complete gas control valve. The pilot still will not stay lit. Supervisor contacted Whirlpool on Thursday. Now its Saturday and no word from Whirlpool and no hot water. Try to get assistance from Whirlpool after work hours and it is impossible. Top loading HE machine. Washer does not clean. I have tried all manufacture recommendations, changed detergents and tried laundry boosters, all to no avail. Tshirts, pants and socks routinely come out of the wash dirty and must be re-washed. This negates any energy savings. Also, the noise from the spin cycle is very loud - the washer is on the second floor but I was told by sales person that this would not be an issue with top loader. Overall, very disappointed and after all these years, I have finally given up on this washer and will junk it.

This has progressively become worse, it now becomes un-level during the rinse cycle. We spoke with the appliance store where we purchased it, ;hey said the repairs could cost $400 or more. The cabrio washer that we purchased in 2010 did a good job of cleaning the clothes but the case started rusting within 6 months. After service calls and e-mails and phone calls, there have been no helpful suggestions beyond buy a complete new case. I hesitate to do that because I am convinced there is a design flaw in the area where the soap dispenser is located which allows the soap to flow between the case and the drum and it eats away theinside of the case through the inadequate paint covering on the outside of the case. It is a mess. Now the instruction panel is bubbling and lifting. I carefully care for my equipment and have kept two washers over 15 years and they still were in good shape with cases still looking new. This is not something I am doing wrong. It is a piece of junk with a terrible paint job and it cost more than any washer I have ever had. I wish I had some recourse. I am on a fixed income and had hoped this would be the last washer I would have to buy. I have photos.

My whirlpool duet was extremely quiet the first few times I used it and seemed to work well. Then I noticed that it randomly drained the clothes but didnt spin them, it did it on different cycles, and I would have to run the load again on spin and drain, another 19 minutes of run time. After a week it began to make metal scrapping sounds on the spin cycle and vibrated to the point that it moved the pictures on my walls. I called Whirlpool customer service and they authorized a service call. In short, the service man was very confrontational told me there was nothing wrong and charged me $72. They are idiots. Finally, washer completely broke 7 months later. There was no service that would honor ANY appointment Whirlpool made. I purchased a Whirlpool range YGY399LXUQ in 2012 from a great local appliance store, Trail Appliances. In 2013 the control panel stopped working and I contacted Trail. They quickly came out and replaced the control panel. In 2014 the same issue came up, but Trail could and would not do anything so I contacted Whirlpool Directly - they came out and replaced the control panel. In 2015 (same month) the control panel is not working AGAIN and Whirlpool has washed their hands of it. A replacement is over $400 + installation. The stove is barely worth that much. I would have thought that they would stand behind their product, in that this is an obvious continual issue or at the very least the service that they provide. I would not recommend their ranges to anyone because they will not stand behind what they product nor will I ever purchase anything that Whirlpool makes as it is obviously low quality.

The third washing machine has again lost its brain and the sensor to operate the machine. I have been waiting for the parts since December 2. Called it is still on back order. Unacceptable! It cost almost $60 dollars every 2 weeks for our washing at the Laundromat. Again unacceptable. All Whirlpool can say is We are sorry. When the machine works my clothes are beautifully cleaned using the new HE soap. Takes large loads and I love that part.I am sorry I bought a Whirlpool. Whirlpool would not work with me except to apologize and say the parts are on back order and I will get a call in 5 days for an update. These machines cost $900 each plus tax. They should work more than 3 months at a time. The first repairman could not explain anything. Said they were too new and he could not figure out what to do. The second repairman was more knowledgeable and explained what was wrong. Does not help that Whirlpool does not have an inventory of parts to take care of their customers.

I had a perfectly good Kenmore range, but I didnt like the color. I purchased a Whirlpool 30-inch gas range at Lowes. I had problems immediately! The repairmen were at my house 6 times within the first year. My warranty expired and they wanted me to pay for an extended warranty. I refused to pay any more for this piece of junk! I fought with Whirlpool and demanded they either replace the range or reimburse me the full cost. They finally agreed, after many heated conversations, to replace or reimburse me as long as I promised not to purchase a Whirlpool product again. What kind of company would say that? A company that knows their product is defective and has poor customer service. I opted to take the new range that they promised wouldnt have the same problems. It is having the same issues as the original one. It shuts off in the middle of cooking and it is infuriating to say the least. I can promise Whirlpool I will never purchase a product from them ever again!

Whirlpool Washing Machine Model WTW4950XW2: I am 74-1/2 years old and I have been doing laundry for more than 50 years. We have always purchased washers of a brand made by Whirlpool. Until now Ive had nothing but the highest of praise. Two months ago, our washer stopped working and we had to shop for another. After looking at all types and brands of washers, we found out that the only type without an agitator was available. With that choice, we ended up buying the model stated above. I literally hate the way these washers pretend to wash clothes! I apply the detergent properly, place the clothes perfectly around the outer part of the tub, etc., and because there is not enough water that goes into the tub for the clothes to wash even one pair of socks, let alone a full load of clothes, I use the 2nd rinse trying to help matters although it doesnt. I dont care about the amount of the water I use to have clean clothes! The clothes sit in there just rubbing against one another, and then when they are finished, the clothes are so tangled you can hardly get them out of washer and into the dryer! Perhaps the designers of all these current washers think they are saving water, but I can tell you that sometimes I will wash mine twice as I know that I do not feel they are clean! (And I am a clean person and the clothes are not real dirty!) I am so unhappy with the decision of purchasing this horrible excuse for a washer that I could shoot myself. I will discourage every person I know from buying one. I will tell them to have their old washer repaired as many times as possible so they will have clean clothes! It isnt just Whirlpool, but all the manufacturers who have chosen to make this horrible decision for us, housewives, and anyone else who does the laundry where they live. I used to enjoy doing my laundry, but now it is a nightmare. I will tell my friends who are the same age as I am that if they can still find a machine with an agitator to buy 1 or two of them so they wont have to deal with this type of problem for the rest of their lives. I realize that now I have to eat this washer since I have purchased it, but I can tell you one thing; if I could sell it for near the price I paid for it, I would do it in a heartbeat! Realizing whoever reads this; it wont matter one bit and probably will never reach the hands of the ones who couldn’t care less or do something about it, but at least I have made an attempt to help others in the future.

Mind you, Whirlpool products that we have purchased in the past have been satisfactory, but gas hot water heaters, no! About four years ago we purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater that went out in a little over a year. After spending many calls and time, we found out that the HWH was on soft recall. Whirlpool credited our account, but this was to purchase another Whirlpool, which we did. We paid for installation. About 2 years later, it has gone out. Same problem. Lowes says not their problem. Whirlpool says it will pay for the part only. Plumber will cost 150-200 dollars. All the plumbers I have talked to will not repair them, then they are held responsible when it goes out! As a disabled Vet I cannot afford to throw 400-600 dollars away. And, Whirlpool tells me that if they give me an RA number to replace the HWH, it will have to be a Whirlpool from Lowes. Great! Whirlpool quarterly report looks very good. Mine doesnt look as good. What can be done about a poor working product? Or is this too big to fail? Let me know.

So we called to have it looked at. The repairman said if it is slow, switch it to fast ice. It made ice even slower, but the repair company said if it is making ice, and he comes out, we would be charged. So we lived with it. In 2014 it stopped making ice at all. We called they sent someone out and said it was a control board. They had to order it, and came back a week later to put it in. They left and said we would have ice soon. Never did!!!So we call again, they come out and said no power to ice maker. He called Whirlpool and they said wires in the freezer door were worn and broke. Well the door is non-serviceable and the cost of the door will exceed the price of the fridge! What kind of crap is that!! Now it is leaking from the tub seals and the bearings are going out according to two service techs I have had come look at it. They say it is more expensive to fix than the washer is even worth. This is due to the parts that would be used to fix it are the same cheap Whirlpool parts that were put in it in the first place. They both said that these are not good washers and commonly go out about a year and half to three years old. Shame on Whirlpool for making such a low quality product and not being willing to do anything about it.

I am questioning my loyalty because the last two Whirlpool fridges have been repair prone, and have bad design issues for ice dispensing. The dispenser door doesn’t close reliably and lets the ice maker warm up and melts the ice. This supports my rating.

My Whirlpool Cabrio washer (WTW6600SG2) is a money pit! After reading all of the nightmare stories concerning this washer one would think Whirlpool would offer a recall and try to correct their wrong doing. Do not buy a Whirlpool Cabrio. It was the worst decision I have ever made! Whirlpool does not stand behind their products. I cant believe they can get away with treating their customers so unfairly, taking their hard earned money for crap like this, then not offering to help after so many have had issues. The Cabrio is loud, doesnt get clothes clean, and is always flashing UL for uneven load (when it works at all). My local repairman has made many trips to fix my problem Cabrio. This time he is at a loss. Ill be buying a new washer and it will not be made by Whirlpool! Please, if you are reading this be forewarned!! You will regret your purchase if you buy a Whirlpool Cabrio.

In January 2016 we ordered a Whirlpool Dishwasher through Home Depot. First, Whirlpool delivered the wrong dishwasher and the installer took my old one away - leaving minimal options to correct the problem quickly. Home Depot did not make the order Model # error but they did compensate for the error. Now, with 18 months of very low use (2 in household - prewashing all the dishes) the pump on the dishwasher is gone. Before posting this review I contacted Whirlpool via email. Two weeks later I had a phone message and I returned the call only to wait for 30 minutes to get through to a customer service agent who could offer absolutely no solutions or compensation for their poor quality product or service. There needs to be a zero on the scale of STARS to reflect Whirlpools overall quality.

Doesnt clean unless you prewash (by hand). Top rack unstable, falls off runner easily. Level of liquid indicator on rinse aid container broke so I cant tell how much is in it. Main door spring doesnt work so that you cant open door halfway. It flops all the way open. Very ordinary features and I dont use the dry feature. Nothing to praise here. Size is adequate for my needs. However, the bottom section where plates go isnt well designed. Dishes dont fit well. You cant put the plates in a line but there are space left over on the side thats wasted. This is the worst dishwasher I ever had. They seem to get flimsier all the time.

I purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio Model #WTW8000DW) 10-25-17 from Best Buy & now it has no power to the panel at all. The power to the outlet is fine which I can plug a hair dryer in & the hair dryer works. Tried all the reset buttons & options with nothing on the panel working as well as unplugging. Still nothing. It is barely 4 months old & I am very dissatisfied for the amount of money I paid for a high efficiency top loading washer.

My dishwasher was only 18 months old when the rack adjuster broke causing the top rack to collapse. I researched and was able to order the replacement part which now comes only in metal. (The original Whirlpool piece was cheap plastic.) I spent $40 for the new part and spent several hours installing it without any help from Whirlpool. Then when I tried to use my dishwasher it wouldn’t run. Repair person came out and diagnosed it with a pump assembly failure. Part alone was $222 and it was on back order. Extremely disappointed. I have tried to contact Whirlpool to see if they would at least offer me a discount on the part. Their customer service number is never available. On hold for so long I finally gave up. Maybe I just got a lemon but I will not go with any Whirlpool product again.

Purchased Whirlpool Dishwasher 1 year ago. I use the Dishwasher once a week. When the Dishwasher was originally installed, immediately I noticed when dishes were placed the racks, there is an annoying squeaking sound. I am not exaggerating but the noise can be heard from my sidewalk outside! I called Whirlpool and a technician was sent to my residence. There is nothing wrong with your Dishwasher. I was told to Grease the racks. One year later I still have the same issue! I placed the phone near the Dishwasher to have the Customer Service Rep hear the Loud Squeaking and to no avail. I will never ever buy another product from Whirlpool. Now the latch will not close to the door! I rarely use this appliance, only placing dishes and utensils. No Pots and Pans!!!!! This is going to be another huge bill I will be responsible for paying and I dont feel it is of my own doing. It seems to be apparent that Whirlpool does not stand by their products!!!! I am sure they are aware of all these issues, customers are complaining and nothing seems to be done from reading some of these posts. I am wondering why they are still in business.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio with the touch panel and top loader. The absolute worst. The machine leaves white marks all over dark clothes even when the extra rinse feature is used. Ive tried multiple detergents, skipping fabric softener completely, using very little detergent, and even tried different water temperatures. Nothing works. And should one have to go through such extremes to not have white streaks left on dark clothes? Absolutely not especially for the money spent. The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if youve intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

In July I purchased a Whirlpool Gold oven and cooktop from Lowe’s. It was delivered in Aug. after a 5 wk wait, since it had to be ordered. Since installation, the hot surface light on the cooktop stays on. I called in & was told to try resetting the elec. breaker. Did that... still stays on. Model G7CE3034XB00, Serial D43005649. On Sept. 4th I called & spoke to Carrie (I believe in TN) who told me she would try to find a service tech in my area & would get back to me in 3-5 days. Apx. 5 days later she called & left a message on my cell phone stating that she could not locate a service tech in my area. I would need to find my own service tech & submit any invoices to the resource dept for reimbursement. Parts could be ordered at no charge. I have nothing in writing from the company to confirm I would be reimbursed, nor was I told how to correspond with the resource dept in the event I had an invoice to submit for reimbursement.Today, Sept. 18th, 2014, I called Whirlpool again (800-253-1301) & talked to Stephanie in Michigan. She told me the same info. When I asked to be sent a wiring schematic I was told I didnt need one. When I asked how to get in touch with the resource dept. I was given a fax no. & email acct. When I asked how I was supposed to get in touch if I didnt have either, she said I should go to the local library. Now lets imagine for a moment that I am disabled or live so far out in the country that I cannot get to the library... How am I supposed to get to a fax or email acct. Has anyone at Whirlpool considered that? This is a new appliance under full warranty, yet it has become my job to find a service tech, pay up front, & wait for reimbursement. REALLY??? I am also in the market for a new dishwasher & you can bet it wont be a Whirlpool!

I have been married for 43 years and started my marriage with a Kenmore Washer and Dryer. That was because my mother, aunt, and grandmother all had Kenmore Washers and Dryers. Kenmore was made by Whirlpool. In 43 years I have gone through two sets of Kenmore Washers and Dryers, and one set of Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. I have always been very pleased with your product and have never considered buying anything else. However, last year we bought a new Whirlpool washer and dryer. I have no complaints about the dryer, but this washer is a piece of **! It is a cabrio top-loading high efficiency low-water washer. What idiot came up with this idea? Tonight I am once again having to divide my washer load and run them for at least a second time. This is not cost effective!!! This sprinkling with water and sucking it out doesnt work. Not to mention that since we have gotten these wonderful energy saving appliances our electric bill has increased instead of decreasing. You need to make a washing machine with a wash tub and agitator like you use too.

I bought this appliance 9 months ago and it has broke 4 times now for the exact same reason. I have set aside 6 separate 4 hour windows for Diamond Factory service to come repair it. All four times, it has been repaired improperly or diagnosed as “nothing wrong with it”. My refrigerator constantly runs, eventually forms an ice wall of back of freezer, and then eventually ice gets so thick to where it stops regulating temperature. All four times, I have had to throw away all my food, defrost the fridge on my brand new hardword floors, and take off work so I can be home for these 4 hour window “service repairs”. They refuse to replace the appliance. UNBELIEVABLE. Never purchasing from Whirlpool or Home Depot in Sunset Hills again.

We live in Hawaii, so the price for our stacking closet size unit was exorbitant. It was over $1,000.00. It is small so the size of loads are small too. I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio set, in 2009. I bought the top loading washer, and matching dryer. Since 2009, I have had the washer serviced FIVE times. Bearings, water pump, F1, F2, ul codes, and a few other things, I honestly cant remember. I love this capacity. But that is all I love about this machine. Today, the water pump went out again. I have been reading online regarding loose coins making their way into the drain pump, the hose, and other parts of the washer. I am diligent about emptying my pockets, but, obviously, someone in the house is not. There should be a trap for the coins, buttons, and any other debris that passes through, but, clearly there is not, and it appears I am not the only one with this problem. I am so frustrated. I paid almost $3,000.00 for this set. It was my very first brand new set and I have had so many problems with this. With all of the problems and all of the complaints, and so many similar complaints, why is Whirlpool not acknowledging them? Why are they not doing anything about it? Side note, my dryer works fine.

Do yourself a favor and do not purchase any Whirlpool gas heater product. There are numerous poor reviews on Whirlpool water heaters. The one I purchased, 50 gallon Whirlpool water heater; I had to replace the control valve three times. After the third time, (the water heater was less than 18 months old) I gave up and purchased another product. Whirlpool would not replace their poor product, but did replace the control valve, each time, which cost $100,00 labor each time. After the water heater was taken out, there were visible leaks on all connections. (A licensed plumber installed it.) Over a period of time, I lost a total of three days work, was w/o hot water three times for two days each issue. I hope I can save the next consumer similar difficulties with this product. Check consumer reports before purchase of this product. There are numerous complaints. Also, local plumbers can advise on how many issues they encounter with this product.

Own Whirlpool GB2FHDXWS04 refrigerator for 14 months. From the beginning, the ice maker made gross tasting ice and never got better (had to start buying ice). Then a smell started coming from the fridge every time the fan came on. We called before the warranty was up and talked to Whirlpool, and they said that we must have put something smelly in the fridge that caused the plastic to absorb the smell (which we didnt). They told us to put baking soda in and change it everyday. No change. They kept telling us there is no way it could be giving off a smell for any other reason and if they sent a tech out, we would have to pay for it. Trying to intimidate us until the warranty was up. Then after a month or so, the bottom mount freezer starts leaking water all over the wood floors every 3 days. At first we turned off the water line, but then realized it is coming when the freezer defrosts. One good thing, the freezer, from the beginning, knocked really loud and now that its leaking it doesnt knock. We spent $1,200 just over a year ago and will probably have to go purchase a new one now. I will tell you it will never be another Whirlpool product. Whirlpool has not apologized or done anything but say, Now your warranty is up, you should have bought the extended warranty. Great customer care! With all these same complaints, you would think Whirlpool would figure the problem is their inferior product (which they know) and actually take responsibility.

My oven had been temperamental since day one, then got worse over time. I do not use my oven that much so was not really worried or alarmed until a tray of cookies caught fire. It was set at 350 and jumped to 525 on its own. (I bought an oven thermometer to monitor) Minor burn taking tray out but all okay :-). Contacted Lowe’s where we bought it and they would do nothing (note: at this point the oven is 15-months old and out of warranty). Advised me to contact Whirlpool. Did that - they sent out a repair service and they determined it was the temp. sensor. It is now April 2014 and I am still waiting for the part (this all started Sept 2013). I have since talked and wrote to Whirlpool for this to be resolved and also asked that the range be recalled due to fire hazard at the least! When I spoke to them in December, they said they could give me ‘50% off the part’. Remember I am still waiting for that part, lol! After writing corp h/q, they said “Sorry, since we cant get the part why not have someone come in and take the old part out and have it rebuilt.” I ask you Whirlpool w/q would you be happy with that??? Will post any follow-ups... would love to hear from anyone else with this problem - model # GFE461LVS. Great day everyone. :-)

I bought a brand new washer from Home Depot, Whirlpool 4.3 cu High Efficiency Top Load Washer to be exact. It hasnt even been 90 days and it started to make the loud, horrible noise so we had someone come and look at it. Apparently the transmission blew and the oil leaked all over my tile floor. I work full time and I do laundry only on the weekends and there is only two people living in the house so you can imagine we do not use it that much. I went to Home Depot first and since it was past 30 days we had to called Whirlpool direct. The customer service is horrible. I thought since the transmission blew, they would replace the entire machine since that is the brain of it. NOPE! They said to replace the entire machine and give us a new one, it would have to break 3 times. Are you kidding me? They did not offer to reimburse the tile damage or the amount of money I had to spend at the laundromat. Not to mention its been over a week and the guy still has not come out and fixed the transmission. It would not be a big deal to me if the hose broke or something simple, but imagine if you bought a BRAND NEW car and the transmission broke 60 days after you bought it. You would take it back to get a new car. The customer service line could not care less about the issue. I spent over 2 grand in appliances from Whirlpool and I will never buy their product again because of the customer service and the fact they did not want to make the situation right. I just bought the machine brand new for a reason!

Whirlpool Washer W10740628A - So disappointed! I have made adjustments for a year trying to get clean clothes from this machine. Compared to my previous machine which wore out, I now use more water because only deep water wash provides enough water; I always choose double rinse because if the machine does not clean, I do not trust it to rinse effectively either. I use more Tide than previously per wash; I use more Clorox than previously per wash. Everything from tea towels to heavily soiled jeans show stains and soils after washing. Instructions say not to spread the item in the washer but allow it to stack on itself, so twisted and tangled wet clothes are the result. I try to soak and scrub all visible dirt before I start the machine now; additionally, I use a mop or plunger or my hands to thoroughly immerse the clothes in the washer, somewhat like my mother did in 1950s. What on earth is this about and what is the buyer supposed to do???

We purchased a 4.8 Cu FT High Efficiency Front Load Washer in February of 2016. What a nightmare. Just a few months after having it, we kept getting an E3 error message that would not go away. After 2 weeks of waiting before a tech could come out there replaced a door mechanism said it would be fine. After the next wash same thing, same problem. Could not even open the door to get my laundry out. Again they could not get a tech out for at least 2 weeks so Im stuck with the cost of getting my laundry done elsewhere. This time it was the motherboard. Had to wait a week for that to be shipped out. This was all completed in June 2016. We are now the beginning of September and same problem. Again we are told at least 1-2 weeks to get a tech out. Seriously Whirlpool, we are your customer. I have a family and we need to wash our clothes. We spent $1200 on this machine only to have to take our laundry to a public laundry mat because your machine keeps breaking down. They will not replace the machine even though this is the 3rd time with the same problem. The customer service is horrible. They are not willing to help in any way to get this fixed much sooner for her or give us a new machine. This one is obviously a lemon! I will never purchase any Whirlpool appliance again and I suggest based on some of the reviews on here no one does. Next appliance I buy I will do more research for sure.
