I have bought an LG Range. Everything was fine until now. My start button has completely stopped working. I have called all, but all appliance repair shops in my city all say the same thing - do not buy LG products and that LG refuses to sell parts to repair shops. I called LG to have some guy who I couldn’t understand from Pakistan or India try to help me. Then, I was told it was going to cost me over $200 to fix it. This is a $1,500 stove I bought because of high consumer report review. I will think twice next time I buy an appliance, and it will not be LG.

2020 purchased a large LG french door fridge. We have a house water filter that also feeds the refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser. Lg does not provide nor offer for sale a plug to replace the water filter in the fridge. I am forced to replace the filter on a regular basis as no water filter should be used for eternity, unsafe. Lg when informed of the problem took many months to respond that they do not offer a plug. Other makes do offer plugs. LG is holding a gun to our heads to force us to buy their filters. I would never buy an LG product again.

LG service lacks timeliness. I bought an LG French door refrigerator which we put in service three years ago (in 2015). Since that time we have had the circulation fan replaced in 2017 and the compressor failed in 2018. We have now been waiting for three weeks to have the compressor replaced and it appears we will be yet a fourth week before we have a technician here to perform that work. Took 2 weeks to get the tech out to diagnose and order the parts needed, another week to get the part and set up another appointment, then the appoint was cancelled because a plastic part I could snap on myself was not yet on hand. Like I said: Now looking to be 4 weeks (maybe) before I once again have another functioning refrigerator. NOT HAPPY!

This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a war
This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a warning to prospective customers. I have owned my LG washer for about three years now. It has True Balance, a feature that consumes water in an attempt to balance the load. The washer is absolutely level. However it rarely completes a load because True Balance is unable to get the load balanced enough to get through the spin cycle. So I have to turn the water off. Balance it by hand. Then maybe it will get through the cycle. Often the items are too soaked to put in the 30-year old Kenmore dryer. So I have to hang them.My water bill has increased 25% since getting the washer. Have complained to LG. Initially they told me to level the washer. Now they just ignore me. Apparently because I (a person who has tested at a mechanical level in the upper 2% of the population) am unable to level a washer. I was however able to rebuild the Kenmore Dryer twice to keep that running. Thats not a recommendation of Kenmore because Kenmore isnt Kenmore anymore.

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

Bought an LG French door refrigerator in June of 2016 and by May 2019 the refrigerator stopped keeping cool or frozen. Was never warned about the huge problems that the linear compressors have and that LG refrigerators only lasting 36 months. After spending 1400.00 and having it last not even 3 yrs is ridiculous!!! Nobody would even come to fix it because it would cost more than its worth we were told and would continue to be defective. So out of alot of money with bad LG product and had to purchase new one but never again will buy LG.... went with GE....

I purchased an LG refrigerator From Lowe’s on September 13, 2017. I even purchased the extended warranty. With that said I am unable to get ANY assistance!! My refrigerator broke, for the second time, on June 27, 2019. I was instructed to call the service contractor per my warranty. They sent a repair person out BUT for the compressor to be repaired, I would have to wait 4 weeks... No offer of sending me a replacement to use only rent something and you will be reimbursed. I sent a letter to the local LG rep for guidance and support but he never responded. Long story short, the repair person came yesterday and said “I did the best I could but they need to replace your refrigerator!” He said it would take a couple of hours to cool but it never did. I am beyond unhappy! To make matters worse I called the 24 hour customer service number and they hung up and I have not been able to get through again. Invoice # **. Store # 0532. Model # LMXC23796S. Warranty # **. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE!!! I paid over $3000 for a product that does not work and I am unable to get assistance!

My refrigerator is less than 4 year old and has stopped cooling. It is either a loss of coolant or a failed compressor, both of which are still in warranty. They scheduled a tech to investigate the problem the following day. This appointment was canceled by LGs automated system after the scheduled time for the visit with a statement that they would schedule something within 3 to 5 business days. I called LG to express my pleasure at the level of their customer service and was told that the repair will probably take somewhere between 5 and 7 days IF the parts are available. In the meantime, I am without a refrigerator.

I have a 3 year old washer and dryer, which is nothing but pure junk! Fortunately, I have the 5-year bumper to bumper warranty. I replaced the drum in the dryer 3 times (split twice), and they are coming again to try to correct the heating problem. It takes more than 90 minutes to dry a normal load. The minute it is out of warranty, we are going to buy Maytag.

I bought my LG washer, model #WM2016CW, on 5/17/2008. I have noticed all along that the clothes have this odor to them and then it transfers to the dryer but I kept doing the cleaning cycle and it worked for about a week then back to that smell. I tried every HE detergent I could find but the same results. But today was a whole new problem. I put the laundry in and went about doing my cleaning. I went down to the laundry room to change the clothes into the dryer and there was a mess on the floor; it was glass. I thought maybe a light broke but this was thick clear glass. I could not believe what I saw. The glass front of the washer burst into pieces and I had chunks of glass everywhere. The strange thing is that the washer had finished its cycle and the clothes were all done so this must have happened after the clothes finished. There was not a drop of water anywhere. I am still in shock that this happened but with LG anything can happen. I am told I will have to pay for a service man plus parts and LG will not give me any answers. They told me to call Sears, the place where I purchased it, and go through them. Sears gave me the runaround also. They told me that I would have to pay $75 just for a person to come out to look at it and then it could cost up to $350 depending on the cause. The whole door may have to be replaced and they have to try to find the cause which it sounds like they dont have a clue. So the washer is sitting in the laundry room and I am out looking for a new washer. I do not trust this washer at all after the explosion. I am writing my Attorney General and letting him know about this and many other things about LG products. I also own an LG gas stove. It is almost two years old and I have had LG people replacing the glass window. This has been ongoing since I bought the stove. There is a leak in the glass oven door and it just keeps fogging up and food particles get in between the glass door and oven door. What a piece of junk that cost me $1100. LG refuses to do anything about it so my husband and I keep taking the glass off and cleaning it and it is not an easy thing to do. I will never buy another LG product and I will tell everyone I know not to buy LG. They sent one guy over and he put the glass back wrong. All I can say is that LG is getting a bad reputation and if they dont get it right, then they will soon be out of business. I just finished reading 800 reviews of LG ovens and they were not good at all; most of them real bad. What is wrong with the LG company? Are they that stupid not to see what people are saying about their product? I will try to find a new washer made in the good old USA.

LFXC24726S Breaks Often - I have had this refrigerator for three years. I paid more for it (3K) due to the counter depth and it was the size I needed. Its had four repairs, ice maker twice and the dual cooling system twice. Not only does it break down, but it takes forever to get it fixed when it does. There are limited appliance repair companies in my area that will work on the dual cooling system. I live in a large city, so this is hard to believe. Even when someone comes out, they then have to order parts which in the past has taken weeks. I had to go buy a used refrigerator to hold me over until mine could be fixed.

We purchased an LG Counter Depth, French-Door Fridge (LFXC24726D) from Costco 21 months ago. We have been working through Costco Concierge Service, LG and our semi-local repair crew. The problem was diagnosed with a major leak in the system. The local repair crew replaced the compressor, two evaporators, and a dryer. The repair lasted about 24 hours. On the subsequent return visit, the tech checked for dye leaks on all of their solder joints. None were found and the tech deemed the fridge as not repairable. This fridge is still under Costco 2-year warranty, and it has been tough getting the repair/refund resolved. LG warranty support sucks -- even with Costco pushing them. As of this writing, we have been living with this defective fridge for 4 weeks! If half of the prospective refrigerator buyers shopping at Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy had a clue about the way LG handles their customers they would never consider anything manufactured by LG product -- NOTHING!

Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this
Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this machine back in the summer of 2011. It seemed to be a great product and you had the ability to washing extremely large loads of laundry at a time. But once something goes wrong then you are in trouble! The washing machine began throwing an error code nonstop during a laundry cycle which made doing a single load of laundry next to impossible. It would take me 3-4 hours to do ONE SINGLE LOAD due to the error code. It constantly kept refilling the tub with water and attempting to continue the cycle then it would knock itself off balance and start all over again. Finally I had enough and called LG to see what the issue was. Talk about an awful customer service. I could barely understand the person and finally was able to get that there was a recall which was a software update from what the person had said and that they would contact a technician around my area to come service the machine (do the software update). That was fine by me and so I waited around to hear from the technician. A few days later I got a call from the technician in my area and they said that LG had contacted them and once they received the part they would come out and fix it. How in the world I went from needing a software update to ordered a part when no one had even come and looked at the washer was beyond me but I simply said ok and went about my day. Here is when my nightmare with LG really began. The part apparently was on back order and they told me after going a month without being able to use the machine that the part would be in within the next few weeks. After the date they had given me was passed I decided to call them back to find out what in the world was going on which they would only reply saying that the part wouldnt be in until the end of the next month. Im sorry but I cant go without a washing machine for over a month and they wanted me to go without one for over 2 months?!! To make this story short after getting absolutely nowhere with their terrible customer service I ended up making a phone call to Sears who did have the part and sent it out to me that same day. I got the part and was able to get my washer fixed (hopefully for good fingers crossed). LG was not pleased that I got the part from another source and tried to convince me to cancel the order by stating that it could be the wrong part even though it was the same part that they claimed was the issue for the machine not working in the first place. Since I refused to cancel the order and wait on them to decide when they wanted to ship the part out, they refused to reimburse me for the part and were very rude. Please do some research before deciding on purchasing ANY PRODUCT from LG. I have dealt with plenty of customer service centers and this is by far the worst service center ever! The people you get connected to are nothing but rude and not one bit helpful if you have an issue with a product (especially washing machines!). They should really change their slogan from Lifes Good to Lifes Greedy because that is exactly what this company is! This washing machine is total junk and I ended up spending a lot of money (on top of the cost of the washing machine) to fix this piece of crap that is truly not all that old. The parts for this machine are apparently always on back order and next to impossible to get to fix these junky products. I have had multiple places tell me that they no longer service LG appliances because it is too difficult to get the parts to work on them and that LG is a difficult company to work with and I sure learned my lesson after having to deal with them multiple times! They do not care about their customers like they claim and have no problem making junky appliances and putting ridiculous price tags on them. I wish that I would have did even a quick search about the products before I had purchased this machine but I now know for future reference and will not be making the same mistake again. I recommend buying a different brand and staying away from LG!!! It will save you money and stress I promise!!!

I did not like it because it had too many king some problems thermostat one keep it cool all the time. Also had to constantly fill it up with coolant and it had a leak in the back that will require a lot of house problems such as floors warping and moisture getting its in the house. We got this glass top range oven when we had our new kitchen put in 5/24/14. It looks great but just about 1 year into use the glass top cracked because I forgot the pan on for too long and started to burn. I removed the pan off the stove top and heard a pop. Did not think anything about it. When it got cool and try to clean the glass top I saw a crack and a small hole. We purchased insurance but not hopeful because when I talk to the LG representatives she said it may not be covered because it might it be done by us dropping something on top of it! That really sucks because we paid $2119 plus $179 for 5 year coverage. LG brand not worth the money! Stay away!

We purchased this product in June 2015. About a month after the 1 year warranty period was over, the refrigerator started making a loud noise, almost sounding like a lawn-mower was hiding inside the unit. It was soon followed by an error E RF on the display panel. Upon contacting LGs customer support, who were quick to point out that the warranty period was over, they informed me that the error indicated that the refrigerator fan was malfunctioning possibly due to ice forming around the refrigerator fan unit causing the issue. I was asked to do a manual defrost, i.e. physically shutting down the power and letting it sit for 8 hours for the ice to melt before switching it back on. This seemed to resolve the issue; however, this seemed to keep happening every other month. On doing some research on the web, I found that this is a very common problem. Since then we have been doing this ritual every other month to power-off the unit to perform a manual defrost. Since the last such operation, the E RF message pops-up daily and then disappears. The temperature in refrigerator is not cold, resulting in food going bad. On contacting a local appliance repair company and providing the serial number of the unit I was given to understand that a service bulletin from LG indicated that the software on some board needs an upgrade or replacement and a fan panel needed replacement, possibly costing hundreds of dollars. I was also informed that the replacement boards are not in stock and could take weeks. On contacting LG Customer Service, I was provided the solution to perform a manual defrost. For now, Life is not so Good.

Seems like from the very beginning we had issues. The water filters don’t last as long as they should, the main fridge door hinge got bent (somehow)? We had a serviceman come out to inspect. He wanted 300.00$ to replace a 50$ part. No way! I ended up getting small magnets to try and pull the door gasket closed, this kinda worked at best. And now, yesterday the whole fridge cooling system died? I pulled the fridge out, cleaned the coils, hoping for the best. This did nothing. Unfortunately service calls are out almost a month. We need it fixed now!! Food is going bad. We ended up buying a new GE Profile fridge. We’ll never buy anything LG again!!!

I received this machine (LG washing machine WM3670HA) in January of 2017, in January of 2018 there was a problem with the motor that drains the machine, the machine would no longer work. I contacted the company, their customer support people really cannot help you and you go in circles with them. Appliance service companies do not want to do LG warranty work. It is February and I still have not had my machine serviced. I have never had a washing machine not work, especially a very expensive machine that I have had for just under a year. I have usually had Kenmore machines in the past and they have worked for many a year. I should not have bought a different brand and definitely should not have bought an LG.

The knobs were broken. Originally, I thought it was just my stove. I have since found out that this is an enormous problem for LG. I returned home over Thanksgiving to smell gas. My elderly mother had made some tea while I was at the store. She was visiting for the holiday and was unfamiliar with the stove. She thought she had turned it off, but because the knobs were spinning on the posts, the stove only appeared to be off. It was in fact filling the room with gas. While I was opening the windows, my mother was apologizing while rushing to the stove to turn it off in her embarrassment. Knowing what was about to happen, I lurched across the room and grabbed her hand before she reached the stove.Of course, if she had turned the knob at that time, it would have passed the ignition point and exploded the gas that was filling the room. Instead, I left the gas on at its lowest setting while opening all the doors and windows. 10 minutes later, when I aired the kitchen, I crouched down and turned off the stove. I wrote LG six weeks ago and they have not responded. I think many people would do what my mother nearly did and exploded their house. This product is deadly. It is just a matter of time before it kills people. LG needs to proactively seek out every stove with this defect and fix it or recall the product.

The washer/dryer are quite stylish, work well. The washer is very versatile and can clean small or large loads. There are a myriad of cycles, many I do not use. There are only two adults in the household. The dryer works well and does not over dry the clothes. My only complaint is that the washer takes way too long on the normal cycle. Thus I use the quick cycle on most loads.

My LG oven has required 2 repairs; the circuit board on warranty, and now the hidden baking element gave out one week before Christmas. I called LG and quickly connected with a representative. This was my experience: Four lengthy attempts for her to get the serial number etc... She continually reversed the numbers (Id say 486 and shed repeat 864 sort of thing). And these numbers are located in the most awkward location for a person to read!!!I explained the preheat could not reach its goal, and she tried to explain to me how important preheating was to ensure best baking results! I told her my baking skills were not the issue, it was the oven could not heat up!!! She told me to ensure the date on the front panel was correct. I told her my panel did not include the date. She had the manufacture date wrong... I decided to call a local repair service, they arrived the same day, and the repair will be done before Christmas, at half the cost, done by a reasonable capable service person. In summary, whenever I need a new oven, it will be a Samsung.

I purchased an LG washer and matching dryer in April of 2014 from Best Buy. I was drawn to it because of the see through glass design. I thought they were cool looking. The salesman pitched it as a top of the line product, I fell for it :-( I cry every time I start to do laundry. My clothes NEVER come out clean. Some of it comes out of the washer dry! This is the worst purchase I have ever made. My old washer did a perfect job and I wish I hadnt purchased this crap. Im out $1600.00 for something I thought would be amazing. I spent a ton of money for dirty clothes. Best Buy came out to repair it, they said the motherboard needs to be replaced. After reading these reviews Im not hopeful at all. Dont fall for LG smart technology. This washer is crap!

After only 5 years the compressor on my LG French door refrigerator has failed (LFC25776). Although the cost of a replacement compressor is covered under warranty we will have to pay for the labor and the service technician informed us that the replacement compressor will only be covered for 90 days. We have lost all the food in the refrigerator. We just purchased another 100 pounds of ice for the cooler. I had designed my kitchen around this new refrigerator and purchased all new LG appliances. After reading the complaints about LG I have decided to buy a new refrigerator NOT A LG. I hope an LG representative reads these complaints and reaches out to consumers -- the product looks great -- unfortunately does not last.

LG french door refrigerator - On 3/15/07, I purchased an LG french door refrigerator model #LFD22B60ST. This morning, 2/21/12, I awoke to the smell of burning plastic coming from the kitchen. When I opened the refrigerator door, I was met with smoke and a heavy burnt plastic odor. The light assembly and cover had melted and fallen on the top shelf. Both light sockets were burnt dark brown. The inside shell under the light housing is literally melted through. The control temperature read 81 degrees. I called LG and they were too eager to take care of it at no charge to me. That alone made me suspicious of their knowledge of this problem, but after reading eleven other identical complaints listed here, LG must have known about this product failure and not one of us was ever notified. This refrigerator is a fire hazard!

I bought a top load LG washer in May of 2014, model WT1101CW, and was very pleased with it. I have three pets and we need to wash large comforters and blankets often; the washing machine did a great job and was easy to use. Then a freak accident occurred within just a couple of months of owning the machine. The washing machine pulled a sheet into the drain at the bottom of the tub and I had to call a technician. Since then, the machine has been operating well until all of a sudden, it stopped two weeks ago and gave me an error message PE. That means the water sensors arent working. I was leaving town and asked my adult daughter to please call and arrange a service call but she said she called the customer service number multiple times and wasnt able to get an appointment set. I called when I returned home and was told that 1) LG couldnt get in touch with four different companies that service their appliances, 2) there are no LG technicians available to help me, 3) that Id have to wait 3-5 days for someone to call me back. I called again today - same story. I told the operator that the wait time for a service call is unacceptable, especially since now were moving in to our third week without a washing machine. I would NOT purchase this machine again. Im sure there are other options out there that clean as well as this one does and are more reliable.

I have a LG Dryer DLGX5102U(V). I purchased this dryer from Home Depot about 2 years ago and also purchased the extended warranty. Good thing in the less than 6 months, the drum has to be replaced twice. Right now there is metal protruding from the drum and tearing up clothes. LG has tons of complaints for this problem and does not recall them. The drum is supposed to have a 10-year warranty but you would have to pay for labor. LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. For the cost we paid for the LG, you would expect a quality product. But it seems like LG is using the US Market as a dumping ground for their defective items.

So, This was a great fridge for about 4 years. Then it stopped making cold. We have been without a refrigerator for over 1 month. Monday 5/20/19 will be the 7th time a tech has come out in an attempt to fix this piece of garbage. Im sure he will replace a part, leave, and it will continue to not work. Then next week a tech will come out again, pick a single part to replace and leave. Ill wait another week and he will come replace that part. Im pretty sure after compressor, valve, drying unit, main circuit board, and capacitor you could have replaced the fridge twice for less money. So, keep paying the techs to waste my time and rest assured I will never buy another LG appliance as long as I live.

Following some serious health issues my wife and I moved south to Florida.
Following some serious health issues my wife and I moved south to Florida. Based on the cost of buying new vs transporting everything we decided to purchase new. After building and closing on our brand new home on the South Florida Gulf Coast we identified the best appliance store and proceeded to purchase what we were told the best quality Washer (LG steam inverter direct drive True Balance) and the Gas Dryer (LG True Steam Sensor Dry) which were both listed by Consumer Guide as their choice/“Top Rated”? For the record we owned a matched pair of The Whirlpool Duet Washer and Gas Dryer up north prior to moving south for OVER 15 YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT! The LG washer came with an impressive 10 year warranty and to my complete surprise the Dryer came with a ridiculous 1 year warranty! Within six months the dryer was leaking small amounts of water on the floor and the dryer was making loud grinding noises that got progressively louder as the dry cycle progressed! In addition the inside drum/tumbler finish became worn out and marred while the vent at the rear inside of the dryer literally had the finish burnt off with excessive heat presenting a serious issue! In fact some expensive Tommy Bahama shirts were ruined by this dryer!I have called the US Customer Information Center numerous times over the past two years leaving numerous messages until one day three months ago I finally had someone pick up from the Customer Information Center that was obviously overseas possibly located in India based on the gentlemen’s accent This gent proceeded to tell me that the washer was still under warranty but the dryer is only covered for one year! UNBELIEVABLE!!! He then informed me that he would have someone get back to me within the next 24 hours BUT obviously that never happened!! Based on the pricing and the alleged “Top of the line” there has got to be something that can be done? As we live in South Florida the clothing we cycle thru both machines is very light with no shoes ever touching either unit. Based on the facts I would warn you, stay away from LG Washers and Dryers!!

Gas Range LSSG3016ST - I have owned this range only 3 months, but I am very frustrated with the moaning whistle noise that comes from the unit the entire time the oven is in use and for 15 minutes or so after the oven shuts off. I thought maybe when it was used a few times it would stop but it hasnt. It is not horribly loud but loud enough I can hear it throughout the kitchen and it really gets on my nerves. I would think for a $2000.00 oven it should be quiet. I am talking with customer service and will write another review per their response. As of this time I am not a happy camper and think this will be my last LG purchase.

The fridge has great cooling system, very practical design plus the aesthetics fit my taste. The height is just perfect for someone petite. It also has cold savers and french doors. It was more affordable compared to the other brands with the specifics that I wanted. It has add ons, it is also very durable. It has definitely met my expectations with all the bells and whistles. But I wish the organizing bins were adjustable. Temperature per shelf adjustable, a roll out shelf, easy to remove and clean bins, an area where we can put odor neutralizer. That would really be helpful

I purchased an LG Model# LFX33975st Refridgerator from Lowes September 2004. I paid 2748.60 for it and also purchased the Lowes extended warranty. That is a whole different issue. This fridge never cooled like it should from the day I bought it. I would hear weird noises from time to time, several times the freezer would start to thaw out. At first, I thought my wife had too much stuff in it but that wasnt the problem. Then it would start working again. A lot of food would spoil in this fridge. Well, it finally quit cooling altogether and we lost all of the food both in the fridge and freezer. I called Lowes as I had an extended warranty and I also contacted LG. LG sent a new compressor and the wrong filter drier and scheduled the service facility to come out and make the repair. The repairman came out and found a leak in the fridge evaporator. He ordered the new part, he came out to make the repair. Now, this is going on for 3 weeks. 48 Hrs later the freezer is working but the fridge is not. So after doing a little research online, it is clear that LG has major issues with their compressors and other components that they are aware of and there are several class action lawsuits against them. I have all LG appliances in my house as the salesman at the store told me how good the LG products are. I am very sorry I purchased these products and will never buy another appliance from LG or Lowes.

Following in quotes is my last communication to LG about the warranty claim for my over-the-range microwave. Following their second opinion mentioned in the communication they finally replaced the unit. Honestly I have a house full of LG appliances and electronics and all in all I’m happy with them all but if my warranty experience is anything like standard, I hope your product never breaks. The following stands as my review: “I have a warranty claim for a $189 over the range microwave that’s been going on since 7/11 with 6 repair visits and another scheduled for 9/21. Everything has been replaced at least twice and some things 4 times and it still doesn’t work and still, regardless of my begging including a desperate letter to the company president, you refuse to replace the unit. Your last reply was that my request was denied and you were seeking a second opinion. Turns out it’s from the same repair company who have already sent two different technicians. Love your products. HATE your warranty service. Case **. Service costs listed on visit receipts exceed $1,700. Seems a bit much for a $189 unit. PLEASE HELP!!!”

I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011
I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011. May 2012 was my first call for repair. I found the freezer totally defrosted all my food and the refrigerator was hot. I called LG and got a customer service rep that couldnt care less that I lost a lot of food in a brand new $2600 refrigerator and the best they could do was send a repairman out in a couple of days. The repairman came out and replaced parts and boards. The problem has to do with the fan, I was told. Now its August 2012 and I awoke to a freshly stocked refrigerator once again hot and all frozen food defrosted. Once again I called LG and got a customer service rep (if you want to call him that) that was rude and non-empathetic about the situation. He proceeded to tell me that he sent a work order to the repair people and I will need to call them in half an hour to confirm they received the work order for repair. They call that customer service. LG knows there is a big problem with these refrigerators. I cant believe after reading all these complaints that nothing has been done about LG. I will never buy another LG product nor will I recommend their products to anyone.

Original manual says, Do not wash or spin water proof clothes. Literature Update: Do not wash or spin any item labeled or known to be water-proof or water-resistant, even if the product care label on the item permits machine washing. Failure to follow these instructions could result in bodily injury, severe damage to your laundry, your washer and/or property damage as a result of abnormal vibration of the washer. Examples of water-proof or water-resistant items include certain mattress pads, mattress covers, rain gear, camping gear, skiing apparel, outdoor gear and similar items.I contacted LG and they informed me that it is all legal and there is nothing they are going to do to help me wash my water resistant clothing. Of course, this is after speaking with several reps and getting the runaround, playing stupid, not understanding that water proof and water resistant are different, and outright telling me that this is all in the original manual. I had to email a copy of the page in question for LG rep to tell me that yes, they have changed specs on the washer but they are legally allowed to change it and there is nothing I can do about it. Specs are supposedly listed and changed on LG website and it is all legal to change it after sale of a product. I have read the whole manual and LG rep has pointed me to the exact page they claimed at first this information was to be found.

I purchased a top of the line three thousand dollar plus refrigerator in February 2014. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. All of the lights work and all of the lights, indicator lights on the door panel work as well. I was away for the day and arrived home late in the evening so I did not go into or look at the refrigerator. The following morning, I noticed water dripping from the water and ice dispenser only to realize that everything in the refrigerator and the freezer defrosted and reach temperatures causing everything to spoil. I immediately contacted LG and they ran an over the phone diagnostic only to tell me that the unit was not operating properly. I could have told them that. When I said that I live in Arizona in a rural area and need emergency assistance, they stated they could not get anyone out to be for the next 4 to 5 days. How am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? They also told me that they hold no responsibility for all of the ruined food. This unit is still under warranty but that does help my situation as their commitment to service in unacceptable. When I went to purchase this top of the line unit, I was told by some folks not to buy an LG refrigerator as two separate folks stated they own LG fridge and have had nothing but problems. When I researched the reviews on this fridge, it received high marks. Taking that into consideration and the fact that the two folks who had problems with their units had them for over two years, I figured that LG made the necessary improvements to their refrigerator so I went ahead with the purchase. In summary: I will never again buy any LG product. I will never recommend an LG product and I will inform whom ever I know to stay away from LG no matter what the reviews state as I am not confident that they are authentic.

My refrigerator is 6 years old. The ice maker needed to be replaced when it was six months old then the ice maker does not adequately produce enough ice. The door spring just broke two months ago. The drawer is broken. The plastic on the shelves have fallen off and the ice maker lever fell off a year ago. It is not a quality refrigerator for the price of $2200.00 made by LG. I also purchased the LG dishwasher at the same time and had to have service on it 5 times. It never cleaned the dishes very well and I tried to talk to customer service at LG and not only were they rude, the woman in customer service was threatening and nasty to me on the phone. I purchased a double door with bottom freezer, an LG refrigerator model LFD22860. One year after purchase, the cover on the electronic control started to melt (was covered under warranty). Two years later, the right side door seal ripped, and I called the warranty service line. I was told it’s the first time they hear of this problem, and that my warranty was over anyway. I had it fixed by a local repair company at $189.71 for a seal. Immediately within 24 hours, the door was rubbing with other side and started to get damaged. I called the service company to verify if it’s an alignment issue, but the doors are fixed on dowel pins and cannot be aligned! The only thing we could do is to put Vaseline to the doors often (RIDICULOUS). Anyway, even with Vaseline both sides, it ripped within a few months (I wasn’t about to pay $400 for seals!). It doesnt end here. Upon closer inspection, we noticed approximately ten cracks everywhere inside the fridge. This absolutely DISGUSTED me. We paid $2200 for this pile of junk, thinking it would last us for some time. Im fed up of big name companies getting away with cheap products sold in todays market. All they could tell me was that my warranty was over and that they cant do anything about it. Since then, I have never bought another product from them, and never will including my family & friends.

Last Christmas we bought an LG French Door Refrigerator. This past August it started making a noise. My husband called LG. They sent out a repairman and he said that it was not defrosting. He opened the back of the refrigerator, it had a chunk of ice which was making the noise. He replaced the computer board and stated that would fix the problem. On September 7 I noticed the freezing section was not cold. With a temperature gun my husband noted that the temperature was only 32 degrees and according to the computer setting on the refrigerator it should have been 0 degrees. From this point on our nightmare started.Another repairman come out at 8:30 Thursday the 8 in the morning and stated that it need a computer board. It was replaced a second time. At four oclock that afternoon my husband check the freezer. It only registered 32 degrees. From this point on it has been a series of phone calls to LG customer service. My husband even talked to a supervisor on Monday the 12 who stated that the last repairman sent in a recommendation that the refrigerator should be replaced. After more phone calls to LG they now says that they will fix it for a third time. We are at our wits end. We called hhgregg where we bought the refrigerator from and of course their help was minimal. If and when our problem is fixed, I will not recommend LG products to no one.

The LG 4715 is the worst appliance — not oven, appliance — I’ve ever bought. One would think that there would be a simple way to set the temperature and turn it on. After all, isn’t that what 99% of consumers want from an oven? Good luck. Whoever designed this oven was more focused on the cute noises it makes, not its basic functionality. And the instructions are even worse. Plainly, whoever wrote the instructions never actually used this oven. Seven years of higher education, plus a year as a short-order cook in a commercial kitchen, and it still took me a half hour just to turn the damn thing on. Calling the company led me to a voicemail. They’re closed at supper time. Trust me — look elsewhere.

After 4 1/2 years, after buying 4 matching stainless steel appliances for the new home, my refrigerator started making loud noises, like an airplane landing. We knew it was a problem, but didnt have a real sense of urgency because the fridge was still cooling; figured wed attend to it when we had time. Then it began cooling inconsistently. Then it finally crapped out. We called customer service and they had us contact the approved list of repair companies. I took the day off, had the repairman look at the fridge (and I do mean LOOK AT it, as he didnt have the parts on hand), and was told it was the compressor that failed and the work would cost over $1000! The part was covered under our 5 yr warranty, but the work was about the cost of a new fridge and wasnt covered. So, the $200-300 part is covered but the $1000 work to install isnt? Gee, thanks, LG!After looking at what a new comparable one would cost, we couldnt find one and came to the disappointing decision to just go with the repair. The repairman was very nice and said this isnt the first hes seen and doubts itll be the last. So VERY disappointed in LG for making such a flimsy, unreliable product! I was a big fan of LG previously - having had a TV, Blu-ray disc player, etc. - and had NO problems, so I thought that competency would apply to all their products. Very wrong and very disappointed.

I bought an LG refrigerator SS MODEL # LFX25991ST/05 Serial # 310KRRE1K246 in March 2014. It started freezing the vegetables and there was ice behind the right tray. The freezer begin to melt everything on top shelf of freezer. I called to get it repaired and after I think it was about 2 weeks a repair man came on Nov. 2. (I think his name was Keith.) He ordered parts and came back on Nov.12 and put the one part in and said he made sure the refrigerator was reprogrammed. He had ordered a new cover dispenser because the one on the refrigerator had turn black but they had sent the wrong part so he said he would be back Nov. 23 to install it. That evening when I started to get water there was Er under the word refrigerator and rf under the word freezer. I couldnt get water or ice. I unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it back in and it started to work. Every time I go to get water I have to do the same thing. I called back thinking it only needed to be reprogrammed again but couldnt get them to send someone out because the man who came the first time was scheduled to come back on Nov.23 even though I was told that someone would come on today Nov.19 but didnt show. Now the freezer keeps thawing and refreezing the food. The refrigerator will cool but not get cold. I have lost so much food not once but twice. Your service is very slow and your product is very poor. I will never buy another LG anything.

I just finished sorting socks and underwear that I washed today. Once again
I just finished sorting socks and underwear that I washed today. Once again I am so angry that I purchased a LG top load washer. It has been a disappointment since the beginning. Today I found a pair of underwear that were ripped and tore and a sock that too was ripped and tore. Both had marks of rust on them also. This along with the fact that in order to get whites clean and jeans and work clothes I have to set the washer on SOAK, and push the button twice for extra rinse and a load of clothes usually takes anywhere from 2hrs - 2hr:20min. In the past I had taken jeans out of the washer after a normal wash cycle to hang on the line and there was still dry dirt in the creases. The main reason for purchasing this machine was because of its large capacity. Well that did me no good at all.I had a tech come out to check the machine after complaining to the manufacturer, and he quizzed me on the type of laundry detergent etc etc to find out I was doing everything right. I also was told to weigh my loads and not to wash more than 10-13 pounds at a time, Oh my goodness. Yet that did not help either. I do not recommend this machine. Worst washing machine I ever Owned!!!

I am so far pleased w/ my new refrigerator, but getting the right help for a replacement part has been extensive and frustrating. Fridge under warranty. Needed to order new tempered glass shelf for my model fridge. First time - Sent the wrong part. Glass is correct width but 2.5 too long. Called again. Second Time - Sent entirely wrong part. Third time - Looked online at blown out version of parts while on phone with Customer Service. They sent the wrong part again, but same part as first attempt. Each time the Model number was verified having taken a picture of sticker on inside of fridge. Clearly the part # is mislabeled. Now they are asking me to wait 3-5 more days to get a call to schedule an in-home visit. Offered to send picture of parts and how tempered glass shelf is too long. No, once the order was put in process by supervisor for technician there is nothing else to do but wait.ON ANOTHER NOTE: Im from Maine. Fridge purchased in Maine. Maine has Consumer Goods And Maine Express And Implied Warranty Laws. I do not know about other states, but is worth a look. In Maine regardless of what warranty the retailer or manufacturer gives, Maine law gives consumers a 4-year warranty and the Retailer is who is responsible and who you deal with, not the manufacturer. So when offered the 3-yr warranty, I say, No thanks, because Im covered by Maine Law for the 4 years.

We exchanged a defective Samsung refrigerator for an LG 8 months ago and paid more for it as well. Right after Christmas found everything defrosted in our freezer and the refrigerator not working as well. Called LG and after waiting forever, told that nobody could come out for at least 4 days for repair. The repair guy shows up today to tell me the compressor is shot (again, after only 8 months) and he does not have one on his truck! He had 2 and used both this morning!! Now with the New Year Holiday one will not be delivered until next week and the repairman hopes he can get out to fix it then. After spending $2,800 I really didnt think Id have to be purchasing a mini refrigerator and loads of ice. Terrible product, worse customer service - save yourself money and DO NOT buy an LG product!

We called LG directly because our 2-year-old French door refrigerator was icing up in the back of our refrigerator. They diagnosed the problem and told us the evaporator fan needed replacing. Even though the fan was supposedly under warranty, we were still quoted a price of $358 for the service call. Our credit card was charged upon placing the appointment with their service department, but nobody ever called or showed at the appointed time. We called LG customer service the next business day only to be placed on hold and after being told they were checking it out, they never came back on the line!!! Will never buy another LG product. We bought our LG washer and dryer in 2006. You can take any of the complaints/descriptions from the others and put our name under it as our problems are the same as theirs. The problem with smell and extreme mold buildup started immediately and continues to this day. We clean it weekly with washing machine cleaners, bleach and dishwasher detergent to no avail. The washer door stays open when not in use. LG customer service? It does not exist. We will never buy an LG product ever--not even an alarm clock! I would give it zero stars if I could. I bought this LG dishwasher 2 years ago. The dishwasher never worked well. Dishes were not clean, racks collapsed, the cycles it offered were useless. The Smart Diagnosis does not function. The app is not yet set up. Within the first year the dishwasher completely broke down and I had to replace the motor. I asked for a new dishwasher but the company refused. I figured it was a lemon. Now a little past the second year the dishwasher is not draining. I took the dishwasher out of the space to make sure that the pipe was not kinked. I found a tissue stuffed in a spot where a screw should have been. The repair man probably put it there to prevent something from jiggling. How do I know he repaired it properly? I spoke with customer service in the Philippines. The girl was cordial but explained that to fix the dishwasher it was going to cost me $400. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They transferred me to a girl in Alabama who was less than helpful. She was rude. She just talked and talked about how I should have bought an extended warranty and did not let me get a word in. Finally she ended up hanging up on me. It seems like highway robbery that I pay 899 for a dishwasher that breaks in the first year, then little into the second year they want me to pay another 400. I cannot afford to pay 440 dollars a year to have a dishwasher. I had a Maytag before this that lasted 20 years and I paid about $350 for it.

Horrible experience! Bought Range less than eight months ago. The oven stopped working after three months of having the Electric Range. The tech was very professional, but he had to come three more times and change the motherboard. I was finally done with this range since the oven stopped working every three months. After the third visit, I requested a refund, and the company wanted an original receipt and was just horrible customer service, and I was told that process could take 14 days. I was told without a receipt I wouldnt get a refund for their defective item. I am glad I had a receipt, but the customer service was so horrible went it came down to the refund process. Never will I buy another item from LG, considering how unreasonable they are with the whole process. Also, I have never purchased a range that needed repairs 3 times in the first eight months of purchased. NOT IMPRESSED....

Options were priority #1 but cost vs options was a big consideration. Loved the steam dryer feature but wasnt a fan of the track record that front loading washers have with having to be cleaned regularly. However, thats been a minimal issue since we purchased them two years ago. Brand reputation and capacity is a plus as we have 2 kids and very busy schedules. Our need is to do large loads fast. So far thats been the result. Regular repair and low quality construction would be instant turn-offs for my wife and I. But we likely wouldnt look at anything that would fall into those categories anyway. We have the two red LG front loading washer and dryer set with the steam dry option. Were able to load the washer up with large amounts of clothes regularly and wash them quickly, and we actually saw a drop in our water bill after we brought them home. We opted against the pedestals, but were reconsidering that thought as they are a little short for a guy who is 63 and does his own washing. So far, not a single major issue.

My LG refrigerator was 16 months old when the compressor went the evening before Thanksgiving, 2019. (This was a known common problem and the compressor was known by LG to be defective.) Even with that, 2 months for them to finally approve a refund. I can honestly tell you that LG has absolutely no concern whatsoever for the hardship or inconvenience that they actually cause and prolong for their paying customers. It was an absolute nightmare getting them to send a service company out in a timely manner. And while they knew that the compressor in this particular model was faulty, they would not under any conditions replace or refund for the refrigerator without having 2-3 separate repair companies attempt to fix the appliance. Four separate times I had to wait 1-2 weeks for a possible repair or replacement of the compressor which was never successful. I had to submit a request for refund twice. It was finally approved by LG on the 2nd attempt, but it still took another 3 weeks for them to process and send an approval to Costco for reimbursement. During this whole 2 month process, I spoke to LG supervisors approximately 9 or 10 separate times only to be told something different almost every single time. I was lied to, hung up on, promised multiple times that a manager would call me (but never once did anyone ever call), I was given mis-information or different mis-information all most every time I spoke with someone. They was very condescending, rude, dismissive, argumentative and could not have cared less that my family had to go without a refrigerator all through the holidays and even the start of the new year. They never once apologized or attempted to fast track anything about the process or help me get it resolved in a timely manner. I found the whole experience completely despicable. I even emailed the CEO and VP of customer service with no response or help whatsoever. By far, this is the worst service or warranty experience of my 61 years of life. Life is NOT Good with LG!!!! The washer keeps tripping GFI which indicates a current leakage problem, that is, a DESIGN PROBLEM. Local techs and LG keep writing this up as an electrical breaker tripping which is a problem of shorting out, or over-amping, not current leakage. GFI breakers are required by electrical code in areas where water is present. The local techs and LG want to solve this problem by removing the GFI, thus violating electrical code in order to make their product work. Current leakage design problems dont improve, they get worse over time, further endangering customer safety.

We had this dishwasher for 11 mos before we noticed cracks along the top of the co tell panel. LG claims that this is surely cosmetic akin to a scratch or dent. I disagree, this is a poorly designed unit. Lowes actually did not want to cover this cosmetic defect, the repairman got it covered due to the cracks allowing moisture into the controls. Fast forward 3 mos, the newly replaced control panel now has cracks the same as the previous panel. The plastic used on these panels is apparently defective or the unit produces more heat than the panel can withstand. This is an engineering issue and not enough testing was done to notice the apparent heat issues. THEY ARE AWFUL - STEER CLEAR!!

LG washer that has made a noise since we got it - We bought a LG washer 11-2016. After 2 repair companies and it being September 2017 it is still not fixed. LG wanted a second opinion and they sent another company. Well they were here yesterday 9-18-2017 and still not fixed. There has been a repairman here at least once a month. Very disappointed. I have even contacted the BBB. Seems like I am getting nowhere. The time I have wasted.
