I have a black stainless over-the-range microwave. After 10 months the touchpad has quit working. I have to have the microwave unplugged because, if I plug it in the fan runs and the microwave appears to be running but none of the buttons on the touchpad work so I cannot shut it off. I first contacted Lowes service on Nov. 6 and didnt receive a followup call from LG so I called back on Nov. 9. Finally got a call from a service company on Nov. 10 but they could not get anyone out until the following Wednesday and we were going to be gone. The service company canceled the case and I was told I needed to start the process over when I returned home. I started it again on Nov. 28 and still no call from the service company. Called LG but all they would tell me was that I had to wait until the end of the day. My question to everyone who reads this is: How do we get the big box stores to stop selling LG appliances? LG doesnt seem to care at all about customer satisfaction. Perhaps if Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy or one of the other big box stores canceled their contract with LG, perhaps LG would look more seriously at the service they provide. Any suggestions on how consumers could accomplish this?

We purchased LG microwave oven that failed approximately 4 months into the warranty period. The warranty reads that “LG will, at it’s option, will repair or replace the Product“. LG’s policy apparently is not to do either of these things for countertop microwaves. They refused to repair or replace the unit, but suggested that we purchase another unit. They did in fact refund the original price of the unit, but now the unit could only be purchased for $30.00 more. As the request of a customer service agent we submitted the new receipt indicating that a price adjustment would be given. Long story short, not only did we have to do the leg work and go out and find another unit, we have had to absorb the difference in the price. DO NOT BELIEVE THE WARRANTY! Had we known that we couldn’t trust the warranty and the customer service agent, we would have chosen another brand of microwave. Although we have purchased other LG appliances (TVs, dishwashers etc) we will not make that mistake again!

Last January 2016 we had a new Stainless Steel L.G. Fridge installed. Well within less than 1 year the stainless steel doors on the fridge are already pitting. After contacting L.G. I was informed they dont cover the doors (considered cosmetic) and if I want the doors change I would have to pay the expense of the doors and shipping. This is what I call crappy warranty and customer service and now I would never ever recommend buying any products from L.G. simply because they werent willing to assist in resolving my problem. As a matter of fact their e-mail response back does not allow you to respond back to them so in order to respond back you have to go back through their e-mail website and start all again, a deliberate set in hopes to make customers go away.

I purchased an 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer Featuring Powerful Stain Care Technology Model: WT4870CW in March 2014, in addition to the companion dryer. I purchased this product as reviews had been good, and the price was right. It has been the worst machine I have ever owned. In spite of trying various settings, and contacting the manufacturer, clothes just dont get clean, and even today, linens that I took out had more stains on them than when they went in. The clothes dont agitate, and even if you use a setting that adds more water, the clothes just dont move around. They come out in the same position as when you loaded the machine. Forget using a water-saving setting - the clothes are barely damp. The machine will go off balance if there is anything, even one item, that is of a different weight. It resets itself endlessly. I miss my old Maytag and cant wait for a reason to get rid of the LG Washer. The drier is also a problem, but I guess I can live with wrinkled clothes more than I can with dirty ones. Dont buy an LG.

I would give my LG dryer a zero! I have had my LG washer/dryer for about 5 years now and the dryer drum has cracked. This is crazy. These appliances should last at least 10 to 15 years! I paid over $2200.00 for the pair and I would expect it to last longer! LG should do a recall on these units and replace the dryers stainless steel drum! I will never buy another LG product again! People, you are crazy if you would ever consider buying an LG product. They are junk! Im not happy!

Pity theres not a less than 0 stars option. I do several loads of laundry a week for a family of five. The washer doesnt even wet the clothes: I mean the clothes are actually dry in the middle of the load; only the outside of a medium-sized load gets wet. I called LG. When I told the repair guy that the washer didnt get the clothes wet, he checked it and said nothings wrong, thats just how it goes. Here is the proper way to use this washer: Pretreat and load clothes. Run water in laundry room sink until hot; fill a bucket with soapy water, and pour over clothes in machine to make sure they get wet. Set washer to: cotton, pre-wash, extra high heat, highest spin speed, heavily soiled, water plus, and turn on the machine. Wait two and a half hours, and then repeat. Thats right--about two and a half hours to get a load done, five to get them more-or-less presentable. Cold is cold; tap cold--whatever that it--is cold, warm is cold, hot is cold, extra hot is actually hot.I emailed Energy Star: they said that if I have a problem with the machine I should call the manufacturer. When I explained that the machine was working to spec--that it was designed that way--they explained that they DONT TEST the Energy Star machines to make sure they do the job theyre supposed to, they rely on the manufacturer to confirm that the appliance does the job its supposed to AND meet Energy Star requirements. Somebody needs to clue in the EPA and Energy Star: if you have to wash every load twice, in blazing hot water, and replace the appliance every 3 - 5 years (typical of modern machines) youre not saving resources. Getting rid of this and getting an old-fashioned Speed Queen.

I bought this three years ago after doing a lot of research. I never thought I would need to buy more of a warranty for this unit. Two people and basic regular use it’s not working anymore. I lost all the food in my freezer and likely the fridge. I’ve checked under the unit and checked the coils and the fan is blowing and the air coming out is really not cold. My freezer is approx 40 degrees. Really sucks to spend so much and have nothing three years later. My last was an Amana and lasted a long time! So disappointed????

We had problems with our first LG, and finally got our money back. We went to Tate Appliance Center in Tampa, FL where we explained what happened and told it was probably a bad unit. Liking the range, we repurchased another and again bought the $2,500 5-year insurance. Were informed that Tate would replace anything that was wrong, including total replacement. Within the first year, the range top glass started to crack. We called LG that the front burner would turn off automatically, beep or stay on. The technician said LG would not replace it unless it was from the electrical units. Then it cracked across the whole top, which the technician said it needed to be replaced. Lo and behold, LG recalled 161,000 units, but ours was corrected. Now we have cracking from the back control panel. Tate said we had to call their insurance company, but we first offered to have them refund our money and we would buy a 4-piece stainless steel GE package, but they refused. The insurance company said the cracking is not covered since it is cosmetic! We fear what will happen next, but we will never buy LG nor from Tate Appliance Center ever again. Consumers BEWARE!

I just wanted to write and tell you that I will never buy an LG appliance again. Had a refrigerator for 10 years and all of a sudden the compressor breaks and it’s $800 to fix it. They said the warranty ran out 6 months ago. Bought the matching stove with it 10 years ago and I’ve already had to have it serviced twice. Bought a flat screen for my wall and that broke after 5 years. You do nothing to help your customers and it’s impossible to get a hold of anyone. Horrible company!!

We purchase the LG Dishwasher in 2016 along with a refrigerator. The 29.7 Cu ft refrigerator is great, the dishwasher is good, but the lower rack comes off the rails it runs on and gets sideways in the washer. When it is full, you must literally pick it up and place it back on the rails it runs on. When it is empty you still have to place it back on the rails, but it is easier for my wife to handle. We are looking for a new dishwasher in our Florida home. When we saw the LG at Home Depot, I tried every dishwasher to see if the rack would fall off. The only one that did fall off was the LG. The other dishwasher had plastic bumpers the kept it from falling off. I would love to have a fix for our 4 year old dishwasher.

My refrigerator has been repaired as of this date. After the May 15, 2020 service the freezer worked but not completely. It would not freeze ice cream and with a couple of weeks stopped working again. The follow up repair which was 06/23/20 appears to have finally resolved the issues with this freezer/refrigerator not cooling and freezing properly. I must say it has been a frustrating few years since the original incident in 2018 thru 2020. LG has resolved the issue finally and I hope this products keep functioning properly. Overall I am satisfied with the last repair done around June 2020. I have not had any problems with the refrigerator since. The repairman was very nice I must say and the 2nd time he was out appears to have fixed the problem.

Technician returned, could not fix but broke full panel of glass in the fridge. So now drawer does not close properly and there is no shelf. Apparently parts were ordered. Called LG to discuss replacing unit, got escalated to an idiot name Garret who was useless and would not give his managers name. Apparently his name is Kuzi. He does not have a last name or a phone number - its all confidential - not really sure what LG is paying him for if he is the escalation they have for customers. Worst I have ever dealt with. We got an LGLMX25964ST/02 refrigerator 7.5 years ago. Last week water started leaking from the ice dispenser door. Two days after that my wife called to say that all the food in the freezer part had defrosted. When I got home I pulled the fridge away from the wall and checked the fan and compressor, they seemed to be running fine. I called LG and I was told the fridge is out of warranty and diagnostic would be $185 plus parts and labor! I am still trying to figure out what to do, fix the 7 year old one or buy a new one, from what Ive been reading its not going to be an LG. I have a 26 year old Amana refrigerator at my rental still going strong.

We bought our LG fridge (model # LBC22520SW /03) new back in 2011 (it was on back-order at the time, because apparently many others were duped into purchasing this piece of junk). It is now one year old. I never knew an appliance could simultaneously be so cheap and yet so expensive. The first time I had to call the repairman was three months after the purchase (he didnt even call me back until two days later; by that time, I had fixed the stupid thing myself). The problem, ironically, is that the freezer fan cannot operate under cold conditions. We cant use our ice maker or it will make the fan freeze over, which in turn makes the freezer and fridge stop working. But it doesnt stop there! If we fill our freezer 1/4 full with food, it makes the freezer too cold and the fan will freeze over, and again the fridge stops working. But wait, theres more ... Weve now lowered the freezer temperature to its lowest setting, but apparently thats still too cold for this cheap fan to handle. Thawing the fan with boiling water has now become an activity that we must do twice daily. Weve lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention the overpriced cost of the fridge to begin with. Do yourself a favor and dont buy an LG fridge!

Purchasing the matching LG washer and dryer was my first LG appliance purch
Purchasing the matching LG washer and dryer was my first LG appliance purchase - and it will be my last. I have usually purchased appliances by Kenmore or Maytag and would have the appliances for years before they had to be serviced. However, that has not been the case with the LG 7.4 cu. ft. Gas Dryer with Steam in White, Model # DLGX3571W. I purchased the dryer on June 27, 2015 and it was delivered July 2, 2015. About a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the clothes were not drying after a full cycle. The first time, I increased the drying time and made it more dry, still the clothes did not dry. Finally, after the third cycle the clothes were dry. Since that time, it has taken several drying cycles to dry one load of clothes. I cant imagine how this will affect my gas bill. Because the dryer is only about 6 months, I requested a new dryer. I figure that if I started repairing a dryer that is only 6 months old, Ill be repairing it forever. But I was told by a very condescending executive manager, Cortel, that I would not get a new machine because that is not how it works. I tried to rationalize with him and told him that I was willing to have a service tech check the machine, but if there was a problem I didnt want it fixed, I wanted it replaced with a new machine. That was like talking to a wall. So my next step is to file a complaint with the President of the company. I would caution consumers against purchasing Model #DLGX3571W in particular and in dealing with LG in general because of their unwillingness to be fair to their customers.

Sears finally refunded my money and I went with Whirlpool. 6 of 7 LG Customer service representatives were rude and completely lacked empathy. I have an LG front load. It does not have an option to add more water and there is never any extra water in it other than what is on the clothes. As a result I have to wet the clothes down before I start the cycle and do a “rinse and spin” at the end of a full wash as the “extra rinse” does not utilize enough water to justify the electricity being used but the rinse and spin seems to have residual water in the drum. Even with minimal soap and fabric softener or using vinegar in the mid cycle the clothes still come out with a chemical smell to them. Yes I clean the machine regularly as it also has a problem with getting smelly quickly. Had to replace the sensor that creates the spin at year 6 but DIY as this is such a common problem and instructions found easily on the internet.

Customer service at LG had no idea what I was talking about. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!

I have had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with my 5 year old LG front loading washing machine. In the beginning it was a mildew odor in the unit. Did a few loads with bleach and wiped around rubber sealant weekly. The clothes do not seem clean to me. I have adjusted the water levels, amount of detergent, the cycle is way over an hour and the results are not good. The control panel shut down and now I have to spend $500 to replace it. I would never recommend this product.

I have bought an LG Range. Everything was fine until now. My start button has completely stopped working. I have called all, but all appliance repair shops in my city all say the same thing - do not buy LG products and that LG refuses to sell parts to repair shops. I called LG to have some guy who I couldn’t understand from Pakistan or India try to help me. Then, I was told it was going to cost me over $200 to fix it. This is a $1,500 stove I bought because of high consumer report review. I will think twice next time I buy an appliance, and it will not be LG.

The micro is good. The front of the fan tray is broken because of the heat. It appears as steel but it is plastic. There is no way to fix it without buying a new unit. I called the homeowners insurance. The technician said that nothing can be done. This microwave costs $375 plus $135 for installation. Very disappointed.

We had purchased a LG washing machine from Best Buy less than a year ago an
We had purchased a LG washing machine from Best Buy less than a year ago and have had constant problems with it since. Soon after we installed it in our new house we had it leak water throughout the night from the front of the washing machine. After contacting LG about it they did a test on it (over the phone, as it was a smart washing) and said it was OK to use. Against the better judgement of my wife she went ahead and used it and the same thing happened again, but this time worse. The water created about $8600.00 in damages, had floor damage, water in the vents that collapsed the AC vent under the house, and mold starting to appear on our walls. Fortunately we had our own house insurance which covered out expense, and we had to pay a small $250.00 deductible. After explaining the situation to LG, they asked us to send them a damage report and all the information which we did, they refused to replace the washing machine and instead sent a technician out to fix it, who came out four separate times to fix it. He said that there was a fault with the machine and we were afraid that it would happen again. LG also told us that because the washing machine was a display model that we purchased it was not under warranty. When I called through customer service to ask them if I purchased a display model from Best Buy would it be covered by warranty, they said yes (a direct contradiction to what was told.) I asked them for a transcript to verify that which they sent. After 4 attempts to fix the problem they still wouldnt change the machine or give us our money back, and we ended up having to pay out of our pocket for the technician to come out. To this day we still have a faulty washing machine. After calling them several times to try and get my deductible back from LGs own insurance company they kept telling me that they would call me in two days, and never did. This happened three separate occasions and it has been about 6 months since the accident happened, and they have been in possession of all the documentation for around 3-4 months and have done nothing about it. We are very disappointed in their service and do not expect them to do anything about our situation. This is the first time Ive complained online to any company, but I feel that other consumers need to know.

Updated on 08/12/2019: I posted a review of LG refrigerator here a while ago. I described how shortly after the warranty ended, it needed a circuit board replaced and every shelf cracked. LG responded to me claiming this was unusual and they wanted to take care of it. They asked me for more and more information, model, serial number, date of purchase, photos, etc. This went on for several weeks. Finally they responded that the warranty was over and they owed me nothing. But they already knew this since my review already mentioned that. So the only reason they responded must be to give others the impression that they stood behind the products when they actually didnt. It was rubbing salt into a wound. I thought readers should know. And LG, dont bother responding. I wont fall for it again.Original Review: I think all refrigerators today are junk and this one is no exception. Shortly after the warranty expired, it needed over $200 in repairs (circuit board). It has a top freezer and bottom fridge. When you put your hand over the space between them, you feel the cold air escaping. Most of the poorly constructed shelves have cracked but I have been told this is standard on any brand of fridge. The shelves cost almost as much as a new fridge.

$3,000 5-yr.-old top of the line LG refrigerator still not fixed after 5 weeks! Horrible customer service! LG has not been able to repair it in 5 weeks with 6 visits from repairman. BTW: ONLY PARTS are covered by LG warranty, not labor. If your LG fridge breaks the day after you buy it, YOU pay for labor, and each call involves a minimum of two visits by repairman - one to look at it so he can order parts (they keep nothing in stock) and at least one return to try to fix it.The repairman suggested on his FIRST visit that we BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR, before he even ordered the new compressor. They do not want to honor warranty. They want you to give up and buy a new appliance! He actually said refrigerators do not last more than 5 years! My son in law has spent hours on the phone (mostly on hold) trying to arrange repairs, been transferred to departments that are closed, been told to call back tomorrow (when departments are closed), and been told that the earliest available repair appointment was 4 weeks away! He has been hung up on. He has been told that they cannot access his records and that the only department that can access his records is not open today (Friday). The repairman suggested more than once that we buy a new refrigerator instead of requiring LG to honor their warranty. Who spends $3,000 on a fridge they expect to last only 5 years?

Updated on 07/02/2021: This is review number 3. LG replaced parts twice then went off. Warranty says not their problem. Even told tech to glue part onto inside of washer. Extended warranty through Lowes. Says not their problem with either. Despite their warranty saying it will be restored to or a operating condition if it has failed due to defects in material. Gee thought I got paid $900 for a washing machine not a towel shredder. Could have done that on my own. Tech told me LG knows there is a problem but doesnt know how to fix it. My take is lg doesnt want to spend any money to redesign the piece so clothes are not getting caught in between the little plastic knob at the bottom of the tub. No need for LG to respond since they are not going to do anything about it anyways. Updated on 06/30/2021: Which consumer affairs would fix it so I can write a second note. So here goes. Its going to be a toss up somebody going to pay. Might I contemplate about taking all my towels that this washing machine tore up. And send part to or all to LG and drop part or all at Lowes. LG spent hours on phone with them after making an appointment and no ones showing up or calling. Called again more hours. Called Lowes. They scheduled an appointment. (With the same company that LG sent out the tech that I have been texting me tells me they are closed on that day the appointment.)Original Review: Complained to LG about washer tearing up to towels. Sent tech out who called company and explained problem. He was told put glue on the center piece. Two weeks later tech came out replaced center piece. Scared of covid I didnt call back for a while. The other piece messed up and continued to mess up and the tech put water proof tape inside. The piece continues to mess my towels up. No towels left. So upset about $1000 washer took for granted that the other problems have to wash some clothes twice. Only cycle to work is bedding cycle that will not tear towels up. It appears the turbo cycle throws the clothes against the middle. The plastic piece in the middle grabs a hold to towels and shreds them so the middle has had shredded threads wrapped around it. LG needs to stick to making phones. Was excited to hear about all the new fangle things the washer could do. Now just wish it would quit pretending to be a washer. Wish I had kept my old washer that was on its last legs. Now my worst fear is coming true. My dry is having to pick up all the hair and dirt the washer is getting.

The company and Home Depot refuse to replace. They insist it must be repaired. This is a brand new washing machine! I was on the phone with an ‘executive customer device rep for quite a while and she could not help. I provided information including the serial and model number over a week ago. I heard back from her today saying she could not have a service authorized until she received the serial number which was not on the receipt even though this was supplied to her on the phone. Initially I smelled an awful smell of burnt electrical coming from the dishwasher and now it wont stay on. Im afraid it will catch the house on fire. An LG registered service person cost $89.00 for the service call and $150.00 per hour not including parts. Our LG LFXS24623 fridge experienced a compressor failure at 2 years after purchase. LG shows a 10 year warranty on the compressor however that is on the parts ONLY. I spent $400 for a Sears tech to install the free part. According to the tech he is replacing compressors on LG fridges constantly and there is a class action lawsuit against LG for compressor failures. In addition to the compressor issues, the ice maker is faulty and requires constant fidgeting to make it work. This is another known issue on LG products. The only thing worse than the design/build quality on LG appliances is their customer service. They are in some foreign country, they read off a script, are extremely unhelpful, will not pass you to a supervisor on request, etc. Life is definitely NOT GOOD with LG.

I have had my LG range for a year now. The oven consistently burns food in the back while the front is not even cooked. The convection feature does not seem to work correctly and only burns food quicker. While the oven takes a long time to preheat, it will cook foods about 5 minutes faster than the recipe calls for so you have to pay attention. I thought the easy clean feature was self cleaning, it is not! My oven is stained on the bottom despite wholehearted efforts to clean multiple times. One major safety concern is that while the oven is on, the metal front of the stove becomes extremely hot and can burn you if you lean against it while cooking on the stove top and the oven is on. The stove burners all cook differently at the same temperature. The left front never brings water to a boil and it takes forever for any of the other burners to bring water to a rolling boil. The top is also difficult to clean and not like my old glass top. And lastly, and irritating quirk is that the ranges timer requires only minutes but the LG range top microwave requires minutes and seconds. I have reversed this and burnt several things. I want my old Whirlpool range back! It was consistent and it worked. I will not buy an LG stove again.

We purchased a $3,000 LG refrigerator September 5, 2015. On February 17th it stopped working. Did not cool. We called our home warranty company, after two visits it was determined it had to be repaired by a certified LG technician. In speaking with LG to set that up, there is only one certified technician in the area. Called them twice to set up an appointment, they never returned the call. In addition, the compressor and all the moving parts are covered by a 7 or 10 year warranty depending on what it is. LG tried to sell me another one-year warranty for $475.00. Searched the reviews on the fridge we have, all of them stated problems with service (i.e., taking off of work to meet the repairman multiple times) only to have the fridge do the same thing within a six month period.Long story short - we went and bought a Whirlpool (made in the USA). BUYER BEWARE, stay away from LG. It does not stand for Life is Good - it stands for Lotsa Grief! I will never buy an LG product of any type - their customer service is beyond awful, their products are not top quality even though you pay a wheelbarrow full of money for them. Before we bought another fridge we called a repairman that we used before for another appliance and asked him what to stay away from - he said LG, Samsung and GE. Compressor and board both went out after 20 months, has the linear compressor, looks like a beautiful fridge but what a pile of garbage spent 3000. On it, weve had the ice maker replaced 3 times, luckily I bought the extended warranty or Id be out a lot of money. I wont be buying LG in the future ever again. Oh and customer service at Lowes was a joke. Told them Id never buy anything from them in the future, took over three weeks of runaround to get fixed, didnt care we dont have a fridge. Were a family of five. I dont recommend buying anything LG.

Bought a Kenmore elite French door refrig made by LG. It had 4 problems within 1 year. All problems are related to freezer fan. Error code ff. Sears covered the first 3 repairs with warranty and gave up on the 4th repair. We switched to another lg French door lfx31945st. About half month passing 2 years, it showed error code rf, refrig fan problem. Temp in refrig is not even. Some are frozen, other stuff are over 40f degree. I just ed called repair for $274 to cover under $500 repair cost for a year. Not fixed yet. Never buy lg again!!!

I purchased the LG Direct Drive washer model number WT1101CW a couple of years ago. It worked great the first six months. Now virtually every load you wash throws a U.E code meaning load is uneven while in the spin cycle. If you dont pull the load out and place it by weight around the tub it either shuts off until you do or fills back up with water over and over again. Rarely does it solve the problem itself. I would rather have a bottom of the line washer than this piece of junk. I dont understand how it received the Energy Star Rating when it waste gallons of water on every load not to mention the extra electricity. It makes you wonder if the Energy Star Rating means anything on products. Whoever is in charge of it obviously didnt do much testing on this unit. Companies like LG and Samsung make great electronics but when it comes to appliances not so much.

I bought an LG front loading washer and dryer in Anchorage and I shipped them to Nome, Alaska. The washer developed an issue with the gasket leaking. I contacted LG who said, no problem, they do repairs anywhere in the world. As it turns out, not in rural Alaska. They said a certified LG tech had to do the repairs. Since that repair was out of the question, LG sent me a check for my purchase price for the washer, the dryer and the pedestals. Over $3,000. They did not cover my shipping charges. And they cancelled the remaining warranty. I ended up having a local wizard replace both the seal and the door latch for roughly $100. Another minor leak was fixed recently. That set is still working great almost 12 years since my original purchase. No complaints here.

Got the LG Range 9 years ago. Recently the range can not turn off. I check with LG, and they said it is in the Recall List, and it is a known issue. They sent the technician and the technician said the part is out of stock. And he will report the issue back to LG. A lady for customer service called me next two days, and she hardly answer my question. Have to escalate to her supervisor and the whole conversion with the supervisor is total disaster. Basically he said, I am the boss, you have to done whatever I told you. Totally not happy with the conversation. And he ask for the receipt, hey, the range was purchased 9 years ago, not sure how many people keep receipt for 9 years, not even the tax receipt. And finally, he said he will order the part, but it will be available on next year Jan. Then I ask for call me back if the part is available, and he said, thats my business, I have to call back myself to check. Wow, how great LG service!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I asked to talk to his manager, and he said, I am the boss, and I am the last person you can talk to. Can anyone tell me what else I can do?

We bought this washing machine from Pacific Sales in March of 2011. I leave the door opened after washing. I dry the inside after each wash! I clean the filter at least once a week. The water coming from the filter is rancid. There is mold continually growing on the inside of the rim of the tank. The machine smells like mold, even a week after using the sanitize function with vinegar. I have called LG so many times I cant even keep track anymore. Each time they say have you called before? Are you kidding? They know my name and number from the number I dial from but dont know that I have called before? This is the worst service I have ever received. Bottom line.. I will never buy anything from LG ever again.

I kept my old Kenmore fridge and its 10 years old but continues to work without problems. Now, I have to move food from my new fridge to the garage into the old fridge that works all the time! I will never purchase a LG product again. Customer service rep, not very good at helping with getting this resolved either. Basically, you are out of luck and on your own.

We purchased an LG fridge August 2015. June 18, 2018 our fridge was not cooling or making ice. Compressor and fans all seem to be running. I have called and emailed LG customer service every single day since today being July 8 2018. I have submitted proof or purchase from our Lowe’s Synchrony credit card I was able to obtain. Submitted email directly from Lowes along with sticker on back of fridge. LG states this is not appropriate documentation and they have provided me numbers for service repairmen. Since reading everyone else review I have decided to just take this piece of crap unit to the dump and buy a unit that doesn’t cost $1,300. Because I am not paying a service repairman $600 Labor plus another $400 for a part that seems like will quit again in 2 more years. Don’t buy LG anything as their company sucks and they do not stand behind their products even though they stated compressor has a 10 year warranty. If you have one take it to the trash now and save you stress level. Thanks to this crappy product I’ve lost $400 in groceries and my newborns breast milk supply.

LG French Door Refrigerator is 1.5 years old and cooling system is intermittent, lost entire content of unit. The ice in the ice machine melted while I was away and ruined my hardwood floor ($450 repair for floor). The local authorized service techs said they have had others LG refrigerators have the same problem. Called LG and was able to schedule a technician to come out after 4 tries. I canceled before he came out because it was working again but since it was prior to the 24hr period they would not refund me. The tech said it would be hard to figure out what is wrong if it working. He suggested that he not come out and wait until or if it has problems again. He said he thinks it is the compressor which is $250 + 125 service call to fix but no guarantee that is the problem. Thank God the parts were under warranty. For a $2000 refrigerator I would of expected it to last more than 1.5 year and have no problems. My old 25 year old GE fridge is still working and never been serviced. LG customer service center is not terribly helpful; called a number of times, each time got a different story, they were only able to follow the script and there was no way to escalate to a supervisor - very frustrating. I usually look at the reviews before I buy. Did not this time but wish I had as I am not the only one to have this type of problem. LG not only has problem with their phones catching on fire and the tops of the washing machine coming off but now it looks like their refrigerators are junk also. Bottom line, will never buy an LG kitchen appliance again.

Fairly new front loader, LG wm2801hwa, opened its door mid-cycle. I had a flooded kitchen and laundry room. When it was discovered, the machine was observed to continuously flooding water out of its (then open) front door. The water valves had to be closed and the machine had to be unplugged. LG was contacted directly and a service man was sent out. The D.G. Appliance representative indicated that the machine had an assortment of problems, including the main controller. The machine even flooded the kitchen and laundry room again, as the payment for the service call was being processed, for he left the valves on after his inspection.I consider this machine new since it was purchesed about a year and a half ago. I expected LG to step up to the plate here and provide a reasonable response. The door on a front loader should never open like that. Much property damage was avoided only by luck in discovering the flood in time, and diverting the water away from wood and carpeted areas. I followed up with D.G. later that afternoon and learned that they didnt bother reporting the problem to LG. I called LG (again) and found no relief, since the machine was out of warranty.

Worked on it and left. It took less than 30 minutes for noise to come back. Next day same tech comes out and worked on it but he really didnt know what was wrong. He left and same problem. The banging is so loud that we can hear it from our bedroom. It got so bad that I had to pull out the unit and unplug at 3 am. And now LG sending the same tech out for the 5th time. This unit cost us $3100...

I turned in a Warranty Claim on my LG French Door Refrigerator which LG denied, their reason being that because when the serviceman came out he could not duplicate the problem. It was very obvious that the water had leaked underneath the refrigerator on the left side damaging my wood floor on my new home that I had just moved into on June 9, 2016, the refrigerator had been ordered online from Sears and hooked up by Sears servicemen. The water damaged wood under the refrigerator was found when the refrigerator had to be moved for some touchup painting behind the refrigerator. There is nowhere else the water could have come from except the refrigerator. There had been a rotten egg smell in the appliance for about 2 weeks, but there were was nothing rotten in the fridge, I even switched out the filter and put charcoal in the fridge... It finally dissipated after about 2 weeks. I told the repairman about this and he said a water line possibly got stopped up and then it released the water. The problem is he didnt put that on his report, he just put that problem could not be duplicated.

You would think with only 3 people in the house that a washer (WM2487HRM) would last longer than 8 years! My washers final load stopped on the rinse cycle and would not finish. I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. About 5 years ago the wiring in the back of the dryer started smoking. Thankfully we were home otherwise the house would have burned down. I ended up cutting the burnt wires and splicing in new wires to fix. Never again LG!!!

When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. The solution was difficult but easy: I bought a new $1200 LG WT7600KKA yesterday from Best Buys in Louisville, KY. Giving our current front load to charity.

Bought the microwave from Walmart in 2019, used it without issue for about a year. Last night, I put something in to warm for 1 minute. (No metals etc of course.) And no sooner had the minute started I turned away, heard a huge grinding whoosh noise, turned back to see fire coming from the right side panel. It made the sound again, another burst of flame and I shut it off. I had the unit unplugged and set outside. I contacted LG with a pic of a clear burn mark on the right panel, explained what happened and they told me too bad, nothing they can do, try returning it to store. ALSO, they further accused me of exploding something in the microwave itself. This was the suggestion of a supervisor. I am appalled and surprised at how they handle this situation. I would seriously reconsider buying anything from them. This could have ended up so much worse than $150 down the drain.

Purchased this machine in 2010 for over $800. I was told it was fabulous. It was - for a few months. But then we noticed that our clothes were no longer smelling clean. In fact they come out smelling worse than when they went in dirty. There is just nothing that can prepare you for getting out of the shower, grabbing a clean towel and experiencing a smell so sour and disgusting, that you feel as though you need to shower again. They told us that we need to maintain our machine every month. What??? Is this a joke? The energy efficient uses less water machine they bragged about - we are now being told we should run 1 to 3 cleaning cycles, with special, expensive chemicals, EVERY month. EVERY MONTH for the life of the machine. I must do this in order to have clean laundry. Am I the only person who finds this absolutely insane??? I now have to take more effort and money every month to maintain my machine, then it actually took to do my laundry with my old machine. If doing my laundry with an LG washer is going to take this much effort... I might as well drag my laundry down to the creek and scrub it on some rocks. That would actually be quicker and more cost effective and, work better!!! I have called customer service (a bunch of foreign speaking people) numerous times. This last time was the last straw. They do not care for your opinion. They speak to you as though you are the problem. When I explained to the guy that the entire area around my bleach cup has completely rusted - guess what - thats right - it is my fault, and no one else on the planet has had this problem. I called knowing that my warranty is long gone but I told him I just wanted to give them feedback from a consumer about how I felt about their product. But, as you already know he doesnt care. He kept telling me to wash out my machine, and that I dont understand how to maintain my machine. I guess judging from the 100s of 1- star reviews, and similar complaints no one else on Earth knows how to do that either. So here is the bottom line. I own a business cleaning resort units. I have dealt with every machine known to man. I have only ever seen one other machine as junkie as this. I will NEVER buy another LG washer. I will go back to old school, agitator... where my clothes are actually coming out clean, and I never, ever, ever had to wash my machine to keep my laundry coming out the way it is suppose to. PS - you will want to avoid the Whirlpool/Maytag (both the same company now) top loaders as well. They are just as big of a nightmare!!

I purchased an LG Washing machine with the pedestal back in April of 2010 for $1,309.95 from P.C. Richards. After 3-years and 4-months, my machine stopped spinning and had a loud squeaking noise. I paid about $400.00 in repairs at that time for a power cord and the computer control panel which completely burnt out. After the P.C. Richards Repair Man left, I washed exactly 2-loads of clothes before the washer stopped spinning and I had to call the Repair man back from P.C. Richards to find out what the problem was. Well after the 4th visit from P.C. Richards Repair Men, I was told that a Ball Barren was missing and it would be a very expensive job to do. With that being said, I went for a second opinion and was told that was indeed the problem which would cost me $500.00 to repair. You know when people purchase expensive appliances like washers and dryers from Manufacturers like LG, they expect the product to last at least 10 to 15 years. I am deeply disgusted and appalled. What can I do to seek punitive damages? I am a working mother of 3 and am at a hardship to make ends meet and cannot afford a new washer right now which I was told by the repairman I should purchase a new machine. In TEARS, can someone help me please?
