Bought LG DISHWASHER LDT9965BD in Nov/2016. We have a laminate floor in our kitchen. Didnt realize the dishwasher was leaking until the Pergo floor panels started curling up at the seams in front of the washer. The service man said our sump assembly seal was leaking from inside the washer. The dripping was unnoticed because the water was flowing under the laminate panels and soaking into the padding underneath. I have had many less expensive dishwashers in my life and never had a leak not even a drip. This was the most expensive dishwasher LG had at the time of purchase. Waiting to see if LG backs up the damage that was caused.

We recently purchased an LG gas range. We paid more and got the higher-end model. Like other people have reviewed is very dangerous. You bump into the knobs and the gas leaks out you dont know it happens unless you smell it or you hear the clicking. LG needs to do something about this Dangerous gas oven.I turn the oven on with my pocketbook. I reach up into the microwave. The oven turns on. Its crazy. If you have little children around its very dangerous and you have to remove the knobs. That looks great. Not when you have spent close to $1,500 on the oven. Yesterday I baked cookies with the grandchildren and the cookies in the front were not as cooked as the ones in the back. Thats another problem. I added a photo with three of the knobs off, doesnt that look like **.

LFC22760SW - My husband and I purchased a bottom freezer Refrigerator 2007
LFC22760SW - My husband and I purchased a bottom freezer Refrigerator 2007 with a 5 year warranty. A month ago the lights stayed on in the refrigerator and we only noticed it when returning from shopping. There was a smell of burnt plastic in the kitchen. When opening the fridge we noticed that the lights stayed on. My husband immediately removed them and I called LG. They sent over a repair man which told me that the part would probably take two weeks and if longer LG would replace the fridge or pro-rate it. LG has had problems with this model of fridge and never sent us a recall letter during my 5 years of warranty. Now because it is 7 years they want to pro-rate it and take back the old fridge. They also told me that the part was no longer available. This is really unacceptable as a new fridge would cost $2000.00 plus tax, I paid $2000.00 plus tax plus 5 year warranty and they would give me $675.00. If you calculate it would have cost me $4000.00 over 7 years. It is quite unacceptable and I do not believe that I will be buying another LG in the near future.

We purchased an LG Counter Depth, French-Door Fridge (LFXC24726D) from Costco 21 months ago. We have been working through Costco Concierge Service, LG and our semi-local repair crew. The problem was diagnosed with a major leak in the system. The local repair crew replaced the compressor, two evaporators, and a dryer. The repair lasted about 24 hours. On the subsequent return visit, the tech checked for dye leaks on all of their solder joints. None were found and the tech deemed the fridge as not repairable. This fridge is still under Costco 2-year warranty, and it has been tough getting the repair/refund resolved. LG warranty support sucks -- even with Costco pushing them. As of this writing, we have been living with this defective fridge for 4 weeks! If half of the prospective refrigerator buyers shopping at Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy had a clue about the way LG handles their customers they would never consider anything manufactured by LG product -- NOTHING!

Purchased the LG French Door refrigerator Model LFXS29626 on 3/21/16. So far, the freezer/icemaker seal has been replaced, the icemaker has been replaced and the motherboard has been replaced. The original issue was the door to the icemaker was leaking and every time you opened the left door, water would pour out of the door. OK, that is fixed early July 2016, then the circuits went bonkers and water started pouring out of the water dispenser... Thank goodness we were home or our home would have flooded. OK, thats fixed the end of July 2016. Then on 8/4/16 the original problem happens again... Water coming out of the door and the ice seal not sealing. I call LG for the 4th time and they are pretty much, sorry about your issues but no, we will not replace your unit... I call Home Depot and they are being kind enough to discuss replacing it. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT AGAIN!!! Do NOT purchase this crappy product!!!

We purchased this fridge almost 1 year ago. Two time the water/ice dispenser has failed. The water and ice will start running without being able to turn them off to where you have to unplug the fridge till a repair person comes to replace the part. Both times I had to call LG for service. Both times their technician did not show up on scheduled day. I wasted 2 days off work with not getting any help from LG. Do not expect anything from LG customer service. I have 4 different claim # for food reimbursement that keep changing and now been told they denied the claim.

Our LG fridge compressor went out after 3 years, so no cooling/freezing at all. Called LG support and it’s under warranty. They gave 10 repair places that they would pay for the repair. Of the 10, only 2 even serviced my Chicagoland area (not a rural area with very few companies). Of the 2 that did, the earlier either could come out was in a month. So I panicked and called a local spot that could. Over $700. LG will not honor my warranty because I used someone outside of who they approved even though everyone they approved couldn’t come and fix it within a months time. There is a class action lawsuit going on against LG for this exact reason. I’ll never purchase LG again.

Nothing but trouble since very first wash. Ive used my new top-of-line LG washer about a dozen times. In about 75% of those cycles, it makes a grinding sound so loud that it reverberates throughout the entire house. When the repair tech finally came (after I filed FOUR support requests), the sound didnt occur during his visit and he said he couldnt repair it. He also said the problem is a known issue, and even if the sound had occurred while he was there, he couldnt repair it anyway because the problem is electronic and not mechanical.Ive also noticed a few cycles where it didnt fill with enough water to completely wet the items, and they smelled very soapy after the cycle ended even though I always use the minimum recommended amount of detergent. What Im left with is an expensive brand new machine that is pretty much unusable, in the midst of the COVID pandemic when Id especially like to be able to sterilize my clothing and linens. I couldnt be more disappointed in the quality of this product and lack of resolution to the problem.

My experience with my LG is terrible. My refrigerator, as even confirmed by the technician, doesnt cool. And LG said they had numerous problems with the cooling system and leakage. Since January, they came seven times and it has not been fixed. And since January, it hasnt been cooling. We called LG. The fridge is under warranty. From what Im seeing on the warranty information, its a 15-year warranty that technicians have been sent over and over again. The tech re-fixed the entire refrigerator with new parts, new compressor, and still, its not working. I loaded it up the last time he did it, and I told the LG service people its not working, and they told me, Well, bring the person one more time. And as long as they document that its not repairable, they will give me a new refrigerator or pay me whatever the cost of the new refrigerator is nowadays. So I gave them again the benefit of the doubt. The last time they fixed it, only the bottom freezer part was working. I loaded it up with food because it was Easter time and I was expecting company and I needed the space to load the food in there, and two days later, everything has melted, and I still have the food. So the top part never worked. I even did what they asked. I have it documented and turned it over to the attorney general. Because they were not even gonna honor. I have it written in their email, where the lady is saying, Give us one more time, a chance. And theyre still not honoring their email or their writing. Theyve been ignoring me.Also, LG subcontracts to foreigners. Every time I speak with someone, its from the Philippines. They have this executive service department. I try to connect with them, and they dont even take any initiative to do anything. This executive department is a joke. I spoke with every supervisor that existed there, and I have documented their names. I asked for a manager and they wont give me a manager. They say that theyre the ones responsible to do something. Then do something.Im very dissatisfied. Ive looked through the reviews, and every single person that complained about the cooling system gave up. Im not gonna give up. If thats what they think Im gonna do, no way. Now, Im waiting from the attorney general. And they also confirmed that theyve been having problems and a lot of consumers have turned to them where they made LG pay for the refrigerator.

We bought a brand new LG refrigerator sometime around February 2011 for a second house that we visit once or twice a month. It wasnt a top of the line unit and ran about $800. When it was delivered and hooked up, it worked fine and continued to do so until August 2011 (it was about 6 months old) when it apparently quit working with a full freezer and a semi full fridge. We dont know exactly how long the unit was off but when we walked in the house, it smelled like someone had died! The smell was awful and it took an entire day to clean it up. We had trouble getting the smell out and the ice maker wouldnt work so we called LG and they sent a repair person out. The repair person replaced the ice maker, the motherboard and took the entire freezer apart to clean it and we found bugs behind the liner. He cleaned it completely and the smell was still bad so he had me use Lysol (LGs recommendation), bleach, baking soda, charcoal, newspaper but nothing would work. We left to come home and it was empty. We hoped it would smell better when we came the next time which was this past weekend for New Years. The smell was still horrible and we called LG. They said we had to have the repair person back out and he came back and said that the smell was from the bugs decomposing and he couldnt get it out. He called LG to tell them this and they said basically Good luck. We called LG and they said they couldnt help us. We asked to speak to that persons manager and we were connected to Amber, the executive service manager. Amber told us that according to the warranty, we were supposed to empty and turn off the fridge when we leave it unattended to go on vacation. Who does this? Im 53 years old and have owned numerous refrigerators over the years and have never had to empty and turn one off to go on vacation and never has this been a problem. She told us that they would do nothing to help us. When we asked to speak to her superior, she told us that she didnt have one that she was the highest power we could go to. At the end of the day, we got zero help from Amber, the super power woman and will never purchase another LG product. My advice is to either stay away from this company or read the entire warranty before you purchase.

I purchased LG washing machine model #WT5101HW on 6-26-2011. In December, I realized that the hot/cold cycle was not hot. The water was really not even warm. I called LG and after speaking to numerous people, they agreed to send a tech out. On December 20, 2011, the tech arrived only to inform me that it was an ongoing problem and there was nothing he could do. It was the way LG designed the machine. On the hot cycle, it adds both hot and cold water so that is why it is not hot. I was furious! I called LG and they informed me that if I wanted to wash my clothes in hot water to use the sanitary cycle which is a 3 hour cycle or the bright whites cycle. My washing machine has an internal heater that is supposed to heat the water to 122 degrees on bright whites and 158 on sanitary. On my bright whites, it is only 90 degrees and not sure what it is on sanitary. LG is advertising that they have a hot cycle when in fact it is not hot and it makes no sense to add cold water to perfectly good hot water and then heat it back up! How is this energy efficient? I called LG again today and now I am being informed that the heater only works on sanitary and if I want hotter water on my cycles, I need to turn up my hot water heater. On page 7 on the instruction manual, it clearly says, the heater increases water temperature and provides better cleaning for sanitary and bright whites.” So, even LG is admitting hotter water cleans better! This machine is a complete joke. LG should not be able to advertise that this machine has a hot cycle when it fact it does not.

I purchased an LG topload washer - model #WT7600HWA in September of last year. Immediately I noticed that the clothes came out dingy and old looking. In December I noticed that some sort of fibrous looking matter was on the clothes when I removed them from the washer. It has gotten progressively worse and my clothes are being ruined as I have to rinse them several times and I still cant get it all off. Since January I have made at least 12 calls to customer service, executive services and now have been bumped up to product specialists. I have had 4 service calls and spoken with the manager of the department in the retail store where we purchased the machine. The LG service man who was last here acknowledged that there was a problem as he actually saw it on my clothes but told me that he could find no source for it so LG wouldnt replace the machine. I have documented with pictures and sent two letters with another going out today; have researched online and found complaints of the same thing happening to other people; and called my own appliance repair company that I have used on other appliances. They told me they had a customer with the exact same problem. They went out and took her machine apart and they were not able to find the source of the problem either. The matter that is left on the clothes looks like white/tan specks all of the clothes or it comes out in big streaks and smears. In my conversations with each and every department they have given me tasks and advice that contradict the information in their own product manual. I have run tub clean per their instructions many times. With product; with bleach; without anything; have had our water tested and drained our hot water heater. All to no avail. I think the appliance is defective in some way and LG will not replace it. It is ruining my clothes. At this rate I will have to purchase a new washer and a new wardrobe!

In life, you have large purchases that are life events: new home, car, and appliances. From day one back in 2008, from when we purchased our LG fridge (LFX2590TT), we have had nothing but problems.Water leaked and cracked the line on the back of the fridge (caused damage to wood floors). The deli drawer slide cracked and broke off. Water leak was repeated; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair. The ice-maker freezes up and we had to turn it off to thaw. Water leaked again; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair (third time). The replacement slide was broken (again). We do not over-load this drawer. Its all plastic crap and has a very poor design. The water line leaks inside the fridge. We gave up and turned off the water dispenser/ice-maker. Then the top of the vegetable/fruit drawers cracked.LG made it on my speed dial. After too numerous to count service calls and being long out of warranty, we have given up. When you buy a $2,400 refrigerator, you think it would work (completely) longer than 2 months. I will never purchase any LG products and I advise others to do the same. They make garbage and when it comes down to it, they just dont stand behind their products. In reading all of these reviews, you would think there would have been a recall, but theres none. Dont buy LG.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from ABC Warehouse on 5/24/15. On 6/3/16 my refrigerator stopped keeping things cold and the blower fan stopped working. We purchased an extended warranty for this item and was referred to an appliance repair company that ABC dealt with. On 6/7/16 the company finally came out and they determined what parts they needed to order. It is 6/19/16 and my refrigerator is still not repaired. Its ridiculous that I spent over $3000 on this refrigerator just to have it stop operating one week after the manufactures warranty. To matters worst I purchased an LG washer and dryer 10/15/15 only to have the washer and dryer both need repair work done. I am currently waiting on parts for the washer and since the repair man was out the dryer is now making a noise and is need of service. I will never purchase an LG appliance again. When you spend thousand of dollars on an appliance you expect it to last longer than 6 months.

It had literally been over a month with this issue!! The compressor went out on my fridge. I already knew that, contacted LG and they still had to send someone out to “diagnose” to tell me the same thing, which leads to them ordering parts that they could’ve had already if they had listened. So first of all why give an 8-12 window when the tech shows up at 2. Not once but twice!! Now, I wish I was joking, but they are sending someone out again for the 4th freaking time to fix this damn thing!! Please stop wasting everyone’s time and just junk out this worthless unit. Please believe me, never again LG products. It’s said that I work in retail and have shown them much love, that definitely ends today. I will definitely never recommend, sell or talk highly of. Count on that. What a waste of time and money. Not to mention, not being able to cook meals at home and wasting so much money on having to buy takeout and food spoil. Can’t believe this.

I bought an LG refrigerator 5yrs ago. I have had problems with the freezer area freezing up and causing problems then I started having other problems, the compressor went bad and it was under warranty for 10 yrs. I called LG and they wanted to just push me off and give me a bunch of BS. They gave me a number of one of their certified companies to come work on it, so I do just that. The company comes out and I had to pay for the service call, then they told me that I had to pay for the part, which is 800.00 and then I had to get LG to refund me. Then I called LG and they said, No, that the company had to get it. The company that LG sent out to my house refused to buy the piece, stating that LG does not want to refund them the product. I should not have to deal with this. I finally got that issue taken care of and not something else is wrong with the refrigerator. I am done, getting rid of it, and I will NEVER have another LG product. EVER.

We purchased LG washer approximately two years ago thinking it was a great machine! Good name, great size, fairly good price... It turned out to be the worst purchase ever made. The machine is constantly off balance (even though it says true balance). A load that says 54 minutes takes over 2 hours and thats with many visits to the laundry room to fix it! We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

Absolutely no help from LG as they instructed us that the 12 month warranty had expired. We had the board replaced. Restocked our freezer and fridge only to have the compressor fail two days later. Again lost everything that we had. We went the rest of the month living out of coolers. Today 7-17-15 I get a call from my wife that the fridge is not cooling again! 5 months! Really! The gas oven went on the fritz 2 years in- took apart, tapped on the ignitor tube and started working again. Stopped once after using broiler - got it going again by tapping on igniter. Learned to not use broiler but now oven and broiler both stopped today. Very pretty stove and worked great for 2 years. Not happy.

I purchased this refrigerator on 12/07/2018. From day one the ice maker did not work. Upon contact with LG they scheduled repair. First company failed to show twice. Ice make replaced twice. No fix. Then they required a second company to come. Again ice make replaced along with hoses and finally they sent a brand new door. Still the ice maker does not work. Today This repair company contacted the technical center to disclose it was not repairable. Tenth appointment. It is now August 12th, 2019 and I do not have this problem repaired. Beyond frustrated. You do not spend this type of money to have something not function. I would love to understand how this is good customer service.

It was energy efficient and self defrosting. Very reliable. Fantastic refrigerator that was very easy to clean. Items kept at the proper temperature. Quiet. But do wish the dial was easier to reach. It was towards the back of mine. Im short and short arms so hard to reach that far. Other than the dial though it was a terrific refrigerator. Served us very well. I am very happy with LG overall.

Buyer beware. We moved into our new house and discovered the existing french door LG was not cooling. (I see other reviews here mentioning the same cooling issue) It is three years old and no longer cooling. Trying to get this under-warranty refrigerator serviced has been a nightmare. Only registered techs can repair it if you can find someone in your area. It has been two months, three service people and two plus hours on the phone with LG and I have yet to have a service person even begin to work on it. If the next service person who comes (tech number 4 in 3 weeks) tells me that it really isnt this its really that and of course they dont have the part or the order was not written correctly or they just dont show up because they resigned and didnt tell anyone, I will pull my hair out. I advise anyone who is considering this refrigerator to find something else and save yourself the frustration (They should have minus stars on here).

I bought this French door refrigerator in 9/2008 from Sears. I thought I was buying a Kenmore. It was sold to me as a Kenmore. Shortly after getting it, I received a letter stating that the energy efficiency was not as claimed. They sent someone out to make it more efficient. When the refrigerator was a little over the year warranty, the rubber gasket broke between the French doors. Sears sent out a repairman and for $300, it was repaired. The repairman told me it happens all the time and most people just use duct tape to hold it together! I was also informed when I made that phone call, that in reality I had an LG refrigerator. Last summer, the ice maker broke. We chose not to spend the $400-plus to repair it. Now, under the freezer drawers, we have 1/2 inch sheet of ice! We cleaned it all out and one day later, have another sheet of ice! To sum it up: rubber gaskets keep ripping, ice maker doesnt work and ice sheets in the bottom! Thats all in 3 1/2 years! I would not have bought this refrigerator if I had known it was an LG as I had read the bad reviews. They lied about the energy efficiency to sell their product and deceive the consumer by not informing them of who actually makes the appliance! And neither Sears nor LG will assume any responsibility!

I picked it because of the price. It was on sale and I have always trusted LG appliances. It lasted a very long time. It was maintenance free. It kept things cold without freezing things out. Its real big and still doesnt take up much space in my kitchen. I still love mine to this day and will always own one. My last one lasted for years and IM very hopeful this one will too. It has very much met my expectations and more. I will always own a lg.

Updated on 01/01/2020: Update from LG, they offered to send a tech out to inspect my refrigerator but the stipulation was that I would charged for the visit for anything outside the warranty. When they read my review about being charged because I had outside tech come and put in a compressor, they cancelled the tech. I exposed the fraud of the company telling them I knew about the charge and would not fall for their deception. Truth released about this company.Original Review: I Bought LG Refrigerator about three years ago for my new home. By the Way LG means Lucky Goldstar. I dont feel very Lucky, in fact I feel like I have been scammed by a company that does not care for their customer. I paid close to $3000 for this top of line refrigerator which was rated by Best Buy five stars. On December 11, 2019 in the morning I noticed the freezer part was defrosting and ice formed around the doors and I had a freezer full of food. I also notice my refrigerator was not cooling properly. And there was a puddle on the floor in front of the ice maker. I thought it was an ice cube stuck in the bin and it melted onto the floor. Cleaned it up and went to work. When I came home there was more water in front of the refrigerator. I now knew something was wrong. I opened the freezer and saw my frozen food defrosted. I panic. Who can I contact now, it is after six PM. I called a friend who recommended her tech to come out and check my fridge. I did call him and he came out around 8:30 PM that night. And his diagnoses was that the Linear Compressor went and everything in the fridge needs be discarded. He said he could get another one in for $595.00 and put it in tomorrow. Since I paid so much for this fridge, I consented to have the work done. I needed a Fridge. After he left, I spent hours cleaning out the fridge and freezer and did not finish till way after 1:00 AM in the morning and I had to be up at 4:00 AM for work. I had to throw all that food out. I had steaks, shrimps, meats, fish and honey baked ham given to me for Christmas from my job. The tech did come back the next day with a new LG linear compressor and installed it and now we are up and running once again. It took about 24 hours for fridge to cool off and the following day, I started stocking my fridge. But within a few days, the fridge did not seem to be working right. I kept checking it. The freezer part was forming crystal around the inner drawers and the food was not cold. Now on December 24, 2019 I am calling the tech who put the compressor in and he is heading out of town but he sent a friend to check out the fridge. At 5:30 PM The eve of Christmas he comes and checks and tells me that the coils are leaking and it would very costly to fixed to contact LG Customer Service. My first thought is to get my frozen stuff out and try to salvage what I can and bring it over to a friend house. When finished with that I decided to call LG. I spoke to lady name Abby who politely told me because I used an outside tech to service their fridge my warranty is canceled nullified and void. She also told me that linear compressor is only under warranty for five years. My manual says ten years. It does not say anything about calling an outside Tech to service my fridge cancels my warranty on this fridge. Think about it, if I had to call LG for a tech to come out it would have taken more than a week to get this done. And time to get a linear compressor to replace the one I had. And to make matters worse, both techs told me that LG has had major issues with linear compressors and they knew about the issues and still installed them in each refrigerator. The company is scamming the American people and are not willing to compensate them. My total cost for this fridge to balm is $4500 plus buying a new fridge. I am a 75-year-old working for $15 per hour. Which means I will have to work 300 hours to recoup my losses plus buying new fridge. I am warning the public to not buy from this company any products, they are not reputable to deal with and you will take quite a loss. Their Refrigerators look good on the outside but their components on the inside are made cheaply and you pay dearly.

LGWT1101 - My sister purchased this washer about 8 months ago. Initially, it seemed like a great washing machine. However, I started to notice that my clothes were not clean. There were streaks of detergent on my clothes and it started to, for some reason, rip my clothes. I have changed the settings on the spin cycle thinking this might change things but to no avail. Pants have been ripped, undershirts and most recent a jacket that I paid a lot of money for. What is going on this this washing machine? There is little to no water, and the wash cycles take hours. This is worse than the laundromat! Don’t buy LG, no good. Lifes NOT GOOD LG!

I agree with the reviewer who wrote that they are scamming you for money. Our fridge broke twice due to the compressor. The first time we paid for repairs $350 in labor. The second time, the repair people said to call LG to get labor covered. I called. First guy took information and said he would call back in an hour after talking to the supervisor. No call 3 hours later so I called again. This person gave me a completely different story and had me do completely different steps including sending in a picture of my receipt of purchase. I did and she said someone would contact me 3-5 business days later. 10 business days later I call to find out the claim had been rejected but theyd be happy to send someone out to fix it with us having to pay for both the compressor and the labor. I told them no thanks. We would be buying a new fridge that was NOT LG.

Front load clothes washer - whenever we start a new wash, after it sits more than 1 day, a putrid odor emits from it. It is about 5 years old & has happened since new. Per LG, we clean all the areas they told us & leave door & dispenser open when not in use. We have complaints to LG several times - but they were no help. This washer is one of the most expensive around.

I purchased a new LG TrueBalance washer. I hate it. Example: I just tried to do a short wash with two pairs of slacks, a mens shirt, and a tee-top. After 1 hour of having the washer stop due to off balance signal 5 times, repositioning contents each time, and restarting cycle and still not getting any further along -- I pulled the clothes out and am now trying to get the washer to finish cycle empty. This was not a unique experience. Unless I jam the washer full so that nothing can virtually move -- it takes me an entire day (at minimum 12 hours) to do 6 loads of clothes. I would never ever again purchase a washer without a center agitator, the ability to fill washer and leave for overnight soaking (which I cant now), and get rid of all of this computer bologna! UPDATE: The off balance signal just went off again with the washer empty! If you are shopping for a washer -- do not get blinded by all the new/many bells and whistles.

Wish I had found this website before I purchased this nightmare of a dishwasher (Model LDT7797ST) at Costco. Unfortunately I was out of town and did not run it before the 90 warranty period expired and now I am stuck with this lemon. The problem is, except for one option, it shuts itself off in the middle of most of its cycles (it has numerous options such as half load, energy level, dirtiness of dishes) and does not clean or drain. The dishes are soaking when the one cycle that seems to run completes. LG did send out two repairmen who both said the machine works (as the motor does work and it can drain when its not running in a cycle) but it doesnt. I have spent hours on the phone with Costco (I have called them six times) and LG (I have spoken with them six times) and have missed work to have repairmen tell me nothing is wrong with the dishwasher, and I spent $900 on the purchase of dishwasher. I am so traumatized by this experience, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether. Save yourself and go with another company!

I purchased the worst appliance of my life - an LG refrigerator. It is absolute junk, and I regret ever trusting this company with such a large expenditure for their flagship refrigerator. The fridge never - from day one - held a proper temperature, and the compressor failed within the first year. I tried contacting LG to get warranty service on what was offered as a 10 year compressor warranty, and LG customer service denied their obligations through what happens to be the worst customer experience I have ever had in my life. I am so incredibly angry with them. Just writing this review infuriates me. LG refuses to honor to do the repair, but tries to scam me even further by trying to sell me yet one more level of warranty through my Consumer Protection office, just to honor the warranty that I already have through the original purchase. And then they come back at me and say that they will honor just providing the part on the compressor, if I buy one more extended warranty and sign a waiver to release them from the remaining 8 years left on my already existing 10 year compressor warranty. My fridge has been sitting dead - DEAD - in my kitchen for the last 18 months. I filed a complaint with my Consumer Protection Branch, and they have been fighting with LG for nearly 18 months now, where LG refuses to acknowledge needing to honor any repairs, or to acknowledge my situation. My fridge, completely dead and with the protective plastic wrap (from factory) still on the doors, is landfill junk. So much for that $3,400 retail price for a bunch of landfill crap. I hate this company. I hate this company with a passion. I hate them so much, that as my fridge sits dead for the past 18 months, I get so angry that I cant keep food in my house after spending so much money on the initial purchase. The only time I can even try to keep food is over the winter months when my garage is cold from the winter outdoors. I cant believe that I spent an entire winter (this past winter, and the last) going out to the shelf in my unheated garage, and being forced to eat the food there for me and my family, and questioning whether the food that was ate each and every day would make me sick, or whether it would kill me (from food poisoning). I hate this company so much that I will never - EVER - purchase another LG product in my life. I pray this company goes into bankruptcy. Im in the process of proceeding on a lawsuit with this company, and Im going to go after them for every last penny. My lawsuit is fueled by my hatred for LG, so if you want to feel like I do (the rage) you should go out and buy their garbage and experience this overwhelming anger. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are scammers, building absolute junk, with horrible products made not to even last a year. My sister just bought an LG phone, and its the worst piece of garbage she said she has ever bought. Shes taking the non functioning phone back to her phone company, because it doesnt work, and has never worked properly. If you want to get an idea about what other LG customers think about LG products, look no further than the 1 star (out of a possible 5 stars) that LG refrigerators are rated at, at ConsumerAffairs. This company fails at everything they do. Did I say I hate this company, passionately? I have never - EVER - in my life hated anything more than LG!!! Do not buy LG products unless you have a passion for being angry, and enjoy feeling hate. I hate you, LG. You are the worst experience of my life, and I wish you and your scam into bankruptcy. Your products dont deserve to be in the world. LGs bankruptcy would make my life so much better. (I hate LG that much!!!) Stay away.

Updated on 3/30/2020: So after a good amount of time I thought maybe maybe our problems with this LG fridge was over. LG sent out a repairman who was a nice guy and over two appointments he attempted to fix the problems. And now a week or maybe two weeks later it’s so much worse. Now after correcting the ice maker issue by adapting or changing lines from the freezer to the ice maker and doing something else with the freezer motor or what have you, we notice this morning water leaking from the door where the ice maker is located. After trying to clean up the water we realize it’s not cold in the ice maker compartment and then realize the freezer is not working and half the contents are thawed or half thawed. It must have been happening during the night at some point. Now we have all this food about to ruin soon. This fridge is a nightmare. It has been 4 years of hell. It is just a waste of almost $4,000 dollars!Original Review: I had many LG products when I bought my $4,000 fridge. I was so excited and for us that’s an expensive purchase. Within a year the problems started. We’ve had the fridge fail several times including the famous linear compressor problem now in class action suit. But water runs inside the walls and freezes in the middle drawer chiller section. It rusts the wheels or rollers and now we can’t use the middle drawer. Not a crisper drawer inside but the big whole drawer in the middle which costs you another 1k to have the 4 drawer fridge. It’s useless. They can’t find the parts for the back wheels. The front ones don’t fit. They’ve sent out repair people which we have to pay for and they’ve sent out a dozen parts all of which don’t work and we pay for. We’ve been dealing with customer service supervisor Alexandra ** for 6 months and she can’t or won’t get anything done. LG is a scam company stealing money from consumers!!!

LG Front Load Washing Machine bought in 2013 - This washer gets a horrendous build up of thick black mold in the rubber seal and makes the inside of the washer smell like mold and mildew. The seal has a rim with a deep ridge that makes it impossible to clean properly. My laundry does not even smell clean after I wash it. When you call LG, they offer no assistance and state you will have to pay to have the washer repaired due to it is out of warranty. They take no blame in the matter at all and tell you its from improper cleaning. Please, this washer is a WASH OUT! Contacted LG service, tech came out found nothing. Took pictures of the finished wash with soap stains sent them to LG, another tech arrived and tried to solve the problem. No luck. Called again. Still no satisfaction. Finally after fourth tech I had a tech make a suggestion that seems to work. LG engineers in their infinite wisdom of trying to make a washing machine that is water efficient failed. The machine senses how much water based upon the weight of the items in the tub which basically doesnt wash squat. So by having the machine first wet the clothes and restarting the cycle the load is now heavier and the machine increases the amount of water in the tub to accommodate the heavier load. Now you have enough water to actually wash clothes! Seems a stupid way to get a machine to work, but it appears to solve the problem. Basically LG engineers need to learn how to actually test their product before sucking the consumer into buying junk!

The LG over-the-range microwave MODEL LMV1683ST caught on fire. This appliance was manufactured in December 2014 and I purchased it at Lowes in March 2015. On July 3, 2015 the unit started sparking and smoking and then flames started shooting inside the unit. 4 months old and LG thinks it might be repairable. I dont want that unit in my house. I have spend several hours cumulatively on the phone trying to get a new unit. The unit only cost $200, yet they have sent repair people to my home. The cost of the repair time has exceeded the cost of goods and out of frustration, LG has created a consumer that will never buy another LG product. I lost over $400 in food plus 6 weeks of eating out. My house is up for sale and how do you think a non-working refrigerator looks to people looking at our house! LG Service is the worst.Updated on 11/11/2019: This is a follow up to a previous review.... After 6 weeks without a refrigerator we were scheduled service for the 3rd time, today between 1& 5- took off of work again (they told us this would be a 3 hour repair) and guess what they call us at 1:30 to cancel our appt for today! Will never buy another LG product just because their set ice is so bad!Original Review: On October 3rd, I called for Service on my LG refrigerator- they did some sort of scan from my phone and told me the refrigerator was fine and I must have left the door ajar and that is why things were warm and ice was melting. I was told to unplug my refrigerator for about 15 minutes, plug it back in and keep door closed for at least 6 hours and I should be fine. I went to bed, got up the next morning and everything in my freezer was thawed and refrigerator was warm, so needless to say I had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food.I called again, they wanted to send a repairman out the following Monday and not before, well we were leaving town Sunday for my son’s wedding. Service was then scheduled for October 18th. When they came on the 18th I was told I needed a new compressor on my 3 year old refrigerator which was still under warranty. But it would take them 10 days to get the parts. Service was set up for October 28th between 8 and 12 and I was told it may take 3 hours, so I took the day off of work.Well, the 28th comes but only 2 of 3 parts had been delivered, so they did not come. Then it was rescheduled for today 10/30, but parts still are not in....after many phone calls and not getting any real answers - we have asked for a new refrigerator they say you have to have 3 service calls for the same complaint or if they can’t get the parts from 30 days after service call. Well even though we called on 10/3, the 30 days starts on 10/18 when the service man actually came to our house. So, apparently we have to wait now til 11/18 if the part doesn’t come in - that is 6 weeks without a refrigerator. I will never buy LG again!

I had dealt with our old washer for years. It would become unbalanced a lot. Clothes would come out with washing detergent, dirt, food and baby poop still on them. We decided to buy a new set and not have to worry anymore. We paid almost $2000.00 for the pair. Its exactly like the old one except were out $1000.00. The dryer is fine. Love it, but HATE, HATE THE WASHER. Scale of 1-10 it gets a 1.

LG Gas stove - bought this year - I just walked into the kitchen and smelled gas. This is the fourth time this has happened. I didnt use the stove today, so someone must have accidentally brushed against the stove and slightly turned the knob. There is no safety apparatus to alert you to the knob turning or that gas is leaking (stove doesnt automatically light). I cant believe in this day and age that this appliance passed any safety inspections. Thank goodness I dont have any small children, Id get this stove out of the house immediately. As it is, I frequently go into the kitchen just to verify that none of the stove knobs are turned, I am now paranoid we are going to blow up...

My kitchen has other LG appliances & we have been happy with all of them, it had great features & the price was right plus they delivered it and hauled the old one away. I like the accessibly of water filter, sturdy solid shelves, indoor ice maker, quiet and efficient, looks amazing in the kitchen. When we moved, the buyers paid extra to keep it. I would love a freezer at bottom rather than side by side, would have liked it to be a bit larger but our space wouldnt allow it, would have liked it to come with stainless hoses for the icemaker.

My late husband thought he was treating me to a beautiful machine. It has been nothing but trouble since day one. Water twice all over floor ruining carpets, unbalanced loads, shaking when spinning. It is mainly the water dumping that is getting to me. I was running Tub Clean with a semi-bleach product recommended for HE machines, and I heard drip drip drip once again. Shut machine off and have to pay for a same day visit as same day is not covered by service contract. I was told last time by someone from LG, Its a 2 year old machine. Really? I had another make for 30 years in NY and it never did anything like this! And its always the LG hoses that fail! Nothing I am doing. Wish I had ordered a different brand!

Bought this top-of-the-line LG April 2013, 10 year linear compressor. Compressor died after a year and 4 months, they cover the part only which requires almost $500 in labor. Talking to LG, I believe takes you to a foreign country phone bank. They are no help at all. They kept asking when I bought it and I said, You have the information. I filled out the warranty card. They said, That doesnt go to us, and admitted that the warranty cards go to a third-party. In other words they sell the information obtained on the so-called warranty card. I finally found the receipt in my tax file, otherwise wouldve had no warranty at all. They covered about $380 in parts. $600 of food spoiled and all that labor on a new $3000 refrigerator.

We bought our range in May of 2017. By Sept of 2017 it required its first service. It stopped working due to a problem with the connection. It was repaired and was covered by warranty. Now, it’s Oct 2019. The burners don’t heat correctly. The front burner is heating too hot while the left front doesn’t heat at all. Stays lukewarm. Then when I turn on the rear burner the front right comes on. My range is either possessed or just that jacked up. I wouldn’t get another LG range if it were free and came with a professional chef! Do not buy this product.

We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out
We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

This is regarding open ticket which has been going on since December. Dryer is still under warranty, it was purchased in August. It does not dry correctly, get flow sense and D80 error message. Per LG request, we serviced our exhaust system and checked all the ventilation and house flaps, duck ductwork etc. Twice. Proof can be provided. All is fine on the house side. Error messages happens even with dryer is not connected to the house, which rules out the house. Its a new construction as well. Triangle Appliances has been working on the dryer since then and replaced everything LG has asked them to. Still not working. As of yesterday, Triangle Appliances deemed it unrepairable per their expertise and written proof of that will be provided. LG refuses to replace it and says there is nothing else they can/want to do regarding repairs. LG is under warranty obligation and refusing service. Please forward this to the right department, for resolution or we will be taking legal action. Also, let me add that the only LG technician available in the area (Durham, NC) was incompetent, not professional, rude to my wife and showed up without parts (he did check they were on back order) and blamed us for it. This is why we ended up working with Triangle Appliances, LG approved, and they have been great.

I love the LG Refrigerator but the filter in the ice maker is not efficient
I love the LG Refrigerator but the filter in the ice maker is not efficient and wont filter right. A guy that works for my son bought one that was almost identical to ours, and they were talking one day and he was having the same problem. Everything was taken out from that ice maker and replaced but still, nothing. We kept doing little tests here and there with the ice and it was the water filter that you put inside the door. I noticed that when the rep came out and put it in that it was very small. We had to pay 200 and some dollars for an ice maker and the ice has not been used for the first three months that we’ve had the refrigerator. Dean asked for 10 filters and the lady he talked to said no but she said that she would send five of them. She typed in the wrong numbers and sent the whole assembly where you put the filter in. There was nothing wrong with where the filter fits in and we saved that. We were gonna try to send it back if she’ll send us 5 or 10 filters. That would get us by. Its kinda unfair for us to have to spend that on a filter, replace the filters in that one every year, and then have to do the inside ones too that dont even work. He wrote her back and she has not even responded to us. Im kind of dissatisfied because its costing us a lot of money to keep it. Weve had the brand new refrigerator and had to go buy ice to put in the bottom of it because we couldnt even use our ice maker.

LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. I leave the door and soap compartment open between uses. What a waste of money - horrible product. DO NOT BUY LG. I will replace this POS as soon as I can afford.

Bought new LG electric range in 2016. Installed summer of 2017. Stopped working November 4 2017. Called LG. Under warranty. Took 2 weeks to get a service person out. He said it was the control board and ordered parts. Parts took 2 weeks to come in. Service person said they would install on Nov. 30. December 8- still my stove is not working. Called LG. They said sorry we have to wait for the repairperson to do their job. Give it 3 more days. Beyond frustrated-it is impossible and expensive to feed my family of 6 without a functioning oven. Additionally LG said they had escalated my case and then closed it without actually talking to me. Incredibly poor customer service. I will never buy another LG appliance. Unfortunately my house is currently full of them. Hope they keep working.

We bought this stove 4 years ago and installed it in a new home build. The first cheap plastic knob broke within the first year. We are now down to ONE working knob. I have attempted to repair and strengthen the original knobs multiple times (something LG should have done in the first place). My question is how can a company manufacture such a great product and then put absolute garbage on the most used part of the stove. My real problem is the ridiculous price for the replacement. Is there a realistic option for this? I do not mind spending the money for QUALITY items, but to overpay for the same, substandard item is not feasible. The real sadness is that I will never buy another LG product again because of a $2 knob for a stove that is now costing $30+ and even sadder is the fact LG put such a piece of garbage on their appliances in the first place.

My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package from Best Buy (about $5k
My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package from Best Buy (about $5k) when we bought our new house in May 2018. It included a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. In March 2020 while self-isolating during the Coronavirus pandemic our refrigerator compressor went out, resulting in the loss of around $250 worth of food. This is bad enough, but it happened with a food shortage going on because of the Coronavirus panic-buying that is happening everywhere. We had to wait 3 days before we could get a repairman out to us. Thankfully he had a compressor; it was under warranty, and was successfully replaced. The fact that LG KNEW that they had faulty compressors in their refrigerators, and that neither Best Buy nor LG contacted us to notify us of this defect is really a problem. We are out the $150 that it cost for the repairman, as well as the cost of the food we lost. I will never buy another LG product since it appears that they dont care about the consumers, only about their bottom line. If youre thinking about buying an LG appliance, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST and read reviews.

Why is zero stars not an option I wonder? Do not trust in an LG refrigerato
Why is zero stars not an option I wonder? Do not trust in an LG refrigerator! I bought all new kitchen appliances five years ago (all LG) and the most expensive was the french door refrigerator. It is supposed to have a state of the art linear compressor. Well, please research and you will see many people in the same position as myself. After two years, the refrigerator compressor failed. It was like pulling teeth to have LG get a technician out to my home even though it is under warranty. Low and behold, after numerous calls I was able to get a technician to my home to say I need a new compressor. Parts needed to be ordered - another delay which took about three weeks. Finally a technician returned once all parts came in, just to say there is also an internal leak in the fridge and it needs replacement! I have now been without a fridge for about 5 weeks and LG still hasnt helped with a resolution. I have an alternate resolution case assigned and that can take about 10 more days for them to determine what action LG will take if anything. Absolutely awful customer service no matter who you get on the phone and they just dont care saying its their policy and they do not take action. Buy any other brand!!!

Purchased the LG Direct drive dishwasher. Stainless steel with all the bells and whistles. 1 year after purchase, I received an error code on the machine, stating its retaining water/moisture. Called LG Customer service provider. They walked me through the steps to fix this issue. Two weeks after this issue the machine made some very loud noises, along with showing another code. This time it was the motor that had gone out on it. I was told I needed to send receipt, as I refused to pay for service. Keep in mind it had water issues already. So I sent the receipt, and they fought me, along with denying my claim. It didnt stop there. I finally got someone out here from LG to fix for free, after a lot of time on the phone, and no use of dishwasher for 2 weeks. The repair man came out. He was very rude. Along with tipping dishwasher and spilling water all over new floor.Well my problems did not stop there. Its only been 2 weeks since fixed, and its showing the error code for water /moisture again. Little did we know the first error code was leaking water under my new floor. Ive called LG Customer service again and got the run around. The service rep also told me this is a known fact about the machine, and there have been issues with it. Its been 3 days and no one has reached out. But heres the worst part of all this. My floor has now been tore up, and restoration has come out due to the known issues, and all the water that has leaked out under my floor. My homeowners now has to get rid of water and replace the whole floor. My machine still sits in kitchen broke and not usable. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS UNIT.

The control panel cracked right through the power button within 2 months of it being brand new. Every time you close the door to start a cycle, it flashes its lights and then shuts off. Ive learned to shimmy the door side to side just right before closing it in order to get the cycle to start otherwise it just beeps at you and then shuts off. If it does start the cycle, it only actually finishes it about 50% of the time. You have to clean the trap every single wash - it seems like the screen is too fine and it catches so much itty bitty debris that it clogs it completely. I cant say how much I truly hate this dishwasher! I paid for 3 year warranty and am so annoyed that I have to use it so soon. Cmon LG you bloody crooks make a product that works.

We purchased an LG front loading washer and dryer in February 2010 at Best Buy. Recently the mother board went out on the DLE2350W dryer ($350 replacement cost) only to find out that in Canada, LG warranties this item for three years and in the United States only 1 year. After visiting with the recommended LG repair service, we have found that this is a common problem and can go out even after one year.I have reviewed several blogs that have customer reviews and found a common theme in that LG has very poor post-sale product service. Im safe to say we will not buy another LG product and will recommend to others not to as well. We have always had excellent service from Sears and will return to them once again. If you do your due diligence and review customer comments, you will find my views are shared by many. This is unfortunate for a company whose tag is Living Good.

Besides having to clean it all the time, it leaks constantly. First, the error message would go on and the water wasnt draining, so it would leak everywhere, plus we would have to empty the water. We had that repaired. Now, its leaking from a different area, which is a different issue Im being told. This is the 3rd repair done on this machine!! On July 10, 2016 we purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFX25973D and serial # 602TRRC1Q486. I am disappointed because the product does not work properly. I have contacted LG multiple times and cannot get a satisfactory resolution to our problems. My first contact with LG was to fix an ice maker issue. LG dispatched a repairman on September 27, 2016. They adjusted the temperature and checked the ice chute, but this did not solve the issue so I called them and they came back out on 10/5/16. We had to call LG back to reschedule another repair order and the repairman was dispatched again on 10/18/16. They ordered 2 parts for the refrigerator, a dispenser ice door and a dispenser motor. The motor was shipped, but the ice door was not available at the time. We waited a couple of weeks and had not heard back from LG so we called them again and told them the work had not been completed due to not having the parts requested. They told us they would reissue another work order. We were expecting the same company to come back out but several days later a different company called to schedule an appointment and they came out on 11/25/16 and determined that they needed to replace the left door. The door was ordered and they came back out on 12/7/16 to do the warranty work.Around the end of December during the Christmas holiday the ice maker started acting up again and due to the holiday activities we held off calling LG until after the first of the year. During the 1st week of January we noticed that ice was starting to form on food in the refrigerator so we called LG again and told them that the ice maker was still not working properly and that there was another issue with food freezing in the refrigerator. We were told to adjust the temperature up in the refrigerator a little to avoid freezing and that someone would be dispatched for the ice maker again. We were getting frustrated at this point and requested that we get a replacement, however we were told that was not an option and that they needed to try to repair not replace the appliance. Each time we had to call there was a 3-5 day period of time to schedule the appointment and then another 3-5 days if parts were ordered, but this particular time we had not heard from a repairman for almost 2 weeks so we called the repair company to see if a work order had been scheduled and they told me that it had not. We called LG again to find out what the holdup was and we were informed that no work order had been scheduled and they would issue one, but it would take another 3-5 days to get it scheduled. I let them know that the refrigerator was not working at all and we lost all the food in our refrigerator due to freezing, including the new water filter that we just installed. LG did send me 2 new water filters to replace the cracked one. On February 3, 2017 we received a call from the 3rd different appliance repair company to come out and look at the refrigerator. When he arrived I told him all the issues we had been having and he determined that it needed a new main board to fix the issue of the temperature in the refrigerator and noted that the sensor was not replaceable. He did not look at the ice maker and said all ice makers have issues with ice freezing together and that I should just periodically open the ice door and shake the tray. He came back out on February 8, 2017 and installed the main board and informed me that if this didnt fix the problem not to call him again because he would not know what else to do. We set a bowl of water in the refrigerator just to check it out and it was frozen in the morning so I called LG again and was told they would schedule another repair order. Once again I asked if they could just give us a replacement instead of trying to fix this appliance as I had no confidence that this appliance would ever be fixed and that I had no intentions of paying for service calls after my warranty expired in about 5 months. Once again I was informed that this was not an option and that they needed to get the repairman on the phone with their field technicians to solve the problem. On February 14, 2017 the 4th different repairman was sent to look at our refrigerator. This time they took the refrigerator apart and at first told me that he felt like it could not be fixed. He said that the damper was staying open allowing the freezer air to reach the refrigerator, but he called LGs Field Support and they supposedly walked him through it and thought that it had fixed the problem. At this point he could not check the ice maker issue since we could not get any water to the door because of the frozen water lines. When he left I put another bowl of water in the refrigerator and several hours later noticed that ice was starting to form in the bowl and that now the refrigerator was showing an error message of F5 on the door. I went online to chat with LG about what the error message was and I was informed that it meant that the freezer sensor was bad and would need repair service. I immediately called LG again and told them that I wanted a refund or a replacement and was put off again. The supervisor told me that if I would hold on she would contact the repairman. When she came back online with me she told me that the repairman couldnt find anything wrong with my unit, we called her out on this and said, One of you is lying to us, because he was here for about 3 hours and thoroughly discussed all the issues he saw. Then she said that he didnt find anything that needed parts replaced and that she had dispatched him to come back out first thing in the morning of the 15th to address the error message. I was expecting a call the next day, but never received one so I called the repairman myself and he told me that he had not been dispatched yet. He asked me if I wanted him to come by to look at it and I told him with all the issues that weve had with LG that without a work order not to come.I called LG back and told them once again that a work order that was supposed to have been issued was not and that I was not interested in any more service calls and that I wanted a replacement. I was once again told that it wasnt an option so I informed the supervisor that their warranty said repair or replace and that after 8 service calls and fooling around with this issue since September that I felt like we had given LG ample opportunity to repair our refrigerator. I closed our conversation by letting her know that if they were not going to replace the refrigerator that I would seek resolution through the court system. On 2/15/17 I spoke with an executive supervisor at LG to let them know that I had filed the suit because I had not received any satisfaction from LGs Customer Service Department. She sent me a link so I could send her a copy of my receipt which I did thinking that maybe she would take care of replacing the appliance and I would drop the lawsuit, however we have had no further communications to this point.

Received brand new broken clothes dryer. Long waiting time before appliance repair was available, then after 2 trips to repair, left the dryer in parts and did not show for 3rd appointment. LG Appliance Company just keeps giving us delays and different stories every time we call. We want these returned and our money back. I have been extremely inconvenienced - during the holidays too - I have had to go to laundromat to dry my clothes. These appliances cost $2,000 and I have not even been able to use them!!! (Purchased from amazon.com. They have been notified).

Had this product for under 5 years. Most appliances I expect to last 8 to 10 years. Anyways, first very minor complaint - all the letters for buttons completely wore off. I wasnt touching them really...they just wore off so now its hard to tell what buttons are what...there is nothing next to them. Im a mom of 3 super-active kids and laundry is done all the time in my house. One day I started to smell a burning smell. It worried me so I contacted a repairman. He said he has problems with dryers not WASHERS. So he tried to recreate it by running several loads...felt stupid - He never smelt it again, but gave me his card and said call if it happens again. So it did a day later. he came back out. Opened up the top and saw nothing near the mechanical piece at the end of the washer. Smelled nothing after several loads. He said, Well make your loads smaller and of the same weight, That way there is nothing off balance. He assured me that if there was a problem the circuit would break if it got too hot. Well I threw a load in and went upstairs talking to my son. I came down and there were smoke fumes everywhere spurting out from the drum of the washing machine. Had I not come down and stopped it -- my house would have burnt down. I unplugged the machine quickly, opened all doors on a frigid winter day, and brought a fan to get fumes out of our house. Every person even the repair man and the guy at Lowes when I was looking at new washers said he had NEVER heard of a washing machine catch on fire. But from what I have read online its a common occurrence for the drums of washing machines on HE washers to get out of balance and cause fires because they spin so fast...WHY ARE THEY NOT FIXING THIS PROBLEM!!! We could have been killed by this.

Very disappointed. We paid over $1,200.00 for our washing machine and it lasted us less than 5 years. The bearings are out and it would cost $800 to $850 to repair. Do not get LG products. We also got a refrigerator from LG that is slowly falling apart. When I called LG to express my disappointment, they acted very disinterested and pretty much said, “Thats the way it is.”

We bought a LG washer (top loading.) and dryer set at Best Buy, 20 June 2016. They looked like quality products, but we were very mistaken. The washer spends a lot of time load sensing, almost as much as washing. A lot of clicking going on, and the tub jiggles back and forth for a few minutes before the washing cycle starts. Even with Extra Water, selected, it is barely enough to get the clothes thoroughly wet in the wash cycle. The clothes in the very middle of the tub never hardly move during the agitation, so they do not really get washed good. Then during this last week the washer goes from wash cycle to spin cycle. It forgets the rinse cycle. Also, we can only get hot water, never warm. For some reason the warm setting is always cold. It also takes a long time just to wash a load of clothes. The dryer will not dry our clothes completely, but we work around that problem, and we shouldnt have to. We had a Kenmore washer and dryer set for thirteen years, and never had many problems. I worked as a product designer for many years, and our company had strict rules for testing and designing before any new product was introduced to the market. I can hardly believe that LG is putting these defective new products out to the marketplace. Anyway, we are disgusted, and learned a very expensive lesson.

Bought LG over the stove microwave on 11/10/20 at Home Depot in Homer Glen, IL. Model LMV2031. Serial 007TAMABC5. Its been running fine, really no problems until last week. When I turn the light on the glass covering the light gets so hot I cant touch. It also make the glass turn table inside the microwave so hot I needed a pot holder to take it out. The whole inside was hot. Im afraid to use it because it might catch on fire. What can be done about this? **

We have only had this washer 6 years and when the display reads 10 it doesn’t go any further toward zero. It will run For about 20 minutes and then Give a UE error which is basically saying the load is not balanced. But if it is empty then how is it out of balance? Then you call for a service place to look at it and they want to charge $90 just to show up which forces most people to trying to figure it out on their own. Has anyone else had this same problem And could offer the remedy for it?

I purchased LG LSXS26366S side door refrigerator in May 2016 and needed a repair service, LG customer service gave us a number to a company called Chipset21. So the technician comes and checks it out and gives us a result saying the compressor is out but we still have warranty on it so all we had to pay altogether was $400. After the estimate he has taken out $125 on that day, he leaves after saying Ill come back in 2 days, which was a Friday. He did not show up on Friday, so I contacted him after that weekend. He said he couldnt show up if I didnt fill out and file back the Receipt format done in Google Drive, but We wanted to be sure about the total cost before send form because this form has another $245 for parts. So I asked him multiple amount of times,is $400 All I had to pay? He says Yes with nothing else. And then I sent him the form back. He answers it will concluded in the $400 total. So without a doubt I fill out the form with the card number and etc information. He answers back, If you could send us the POP (Proof of Purchase), we could get a bit more discount on it. I emailed him the POP that I have received, He says The software upgrade wont be accounted in the total price so the Software Upgrade was completely out of the total. On the next day he takes out $245 as it said on the Receipt form. The total amount he took out was $370, we thought $30 was discounted and was relieved. Within couple of days he came and fixed our refrigerator, we were sure it was all over with. 5 days later to having he takes out another $400 which we could not understand at all. So I call him about the $400 charge, he changes his words saying that we are paying for everything and the actual total payment was $760. He has never said to me about the total ever being $760. We couldnt believe that this kind of Company who changes words every time talking on the phone is the Cooperative Repair Service Company that LG works with. We were very disappointed with LG that we completely trusted. We will not recommend LG to any other family members or to close friends when they need household electronics. We have used refrigerator way older than this and never had to worry about compressor going wrong. And LG customer service was the worst Ive ever been through.

I purchased my dream refrigerator in June or July of 2019 (that cost me a lot of money). This refrigerator came with all the bells and whistles to include the new sleek look (it is a beauty). In about September 2019 my refrigerators compressor went out. I lost all of my food in the refrigerator. I am very upset about this because to me this was a warning sign of future expectations of this refrigerator. Since the refrigerator was still under the manufacturer warranty they sent someone out to inspect. As a result of service call they replaced the compressor. I requested a replacement refrigerator because I felt that I had received a “lemon” but LG refused to accommodate my request. Here it is 2 weeks later and my refrigerator has died again. I lost my food again. I called and complained again but LG would like to send someone out to inspect refrigerator again. I am very unhappy that my dream refrigerator has turned into my worst nightmare. What happened to the refrigerators that use to last 20 years or more? All I want is dependable, quality refrigerator to keep my food cold and fresh, and a adequate amount of ice. Am I asking for too much?

I have never written a review before but this issue has me so angry I felt
I have never written a review before but this issue has me so angry I felt the need. Our fridge is 2 years old. We wanted the best for our brand new kitchen... So sadly ALL MY APPLIANCES (WASHER AND DRYER INCLUDED) ARE LG!!! I wish I had my money back. I started talking to LG about my issues in mid-July. I was given two service people in my area to work on my fridge, which was at that time freezing all the crispers to the point I can keep nothing there. The fridge is 60m degrees, crispers at 20, chilling drawer at 20-30, depending on its mood that day and the freezer is holding at 0. One repairman came, talked to tech services and was told then there was a service bulletin on this model. He followed the techs advice and order a new board and a seal. (Customer service lied to me and said there was no service bulletin... told them my husband saw it and read it so they were lying about that!!!)Waited a week for the part. He installed and left. That evening the same error showed up in the screen... E rF... again! Tech support had told him this meant a fan error. He comes back to then tell me TS wants me to shut down the fridge for 24 hours so it can reset, which means you are really without a unit for 48 hours as it takes 24 for it to reach correct cooling temp. So we follow their request and start life out of a cooler. That seems like a very long time ago... Needless to say, the shutdown did not work. The error returned, servicemen refused to come back so I called the other name given to me. He flat out refused to come, stating he had one just like it in his shop that LG (the largest appliance company in the world), could not tell him how to fix, and he wasnt going to get stiffed by them for his effort.I have spoken to LG several times and am currently without a fridge, have a $341 bill for the misplaced efforts on repair attempt, and am waiting another 7-10 days until they decide to let me know if they will fix or replace. I can only assume from what I have learned that LG has a product with such a problem in multiple systems that they have NO IDEA how to fix and can only hope we will give up and just go spend another $3000-$4000 on a new one!!! I have lost hundreds of $$$ in food and expense of eating out because of this. I do not plan on giving up... I plan on turning them over to the Better Business Bureau and contacting a Lemon Law lawyer. I can totally understand that at times things dont work as designed but to tell customers they dont know what you expect is not acceptable to me. They have lost a very good customer over this whole issue. Add up in your heads, LG management, how much your top of the line appliances cost for a new kitchen and laundry room and tell me how many customers you can tick off before you wake up!!!

In September 2011, we purchased an LG gas range. Within a month, we requested a service call because two of the top burners did not operate correctly. Five months since purchase, we now have total failure of the oven (doesnt come on at all) and when it did previously work, the convention option for the oven worked erratic. I still have trouble with two top burners. The grill does not get hot enough to cook a pancake. The largest burner goes out of control with huge flames (scary)! Service person was out two weeks ago and we were informed that replacement parts were not presently available and we will be contacted later. I called again to launch a complaint. I was then told we would receive a call back later that day to report the status of our claim. No call was received.I am a caregiver to an Alzheimer patient who also is diabetic. I have special foods to prepare on this new, pretty stove that doesnt work well enough to prepare a decent meal. I am severely limited in my ability to provide nutritional care for my family member. And, yes, Im angry about the situation. My range cost $1,232 and for that expense I get a bag of trouble and face a company that will not yet (after five months) stand behind the unit to properly repair or replace it.

Wish I had read the reviews before setting up my $374 dollar appointment to have someone come fix my leaking LG front load washing machine. I have had it about 4 years... Long time? NO! I had a Kenmore for 10 yrs... Wish I would have bought a new washing machine (different brand)! UGH. Cant cancel now or I will be charged $100... Just set up the appointment 4 hours ago, they coming today. You have to cancel 24 hours in advance! I too have experienced many of the complaints I have read, but never acted on them... A leaking machine will make you act! Disgusted!
