Dishes do not completely dry, especially on the quick cycle. Water is left standing on the bottom of glasses. Even running full cycle, they do not dry completely. The silverware rack does a good job, but had to get a separate basket for odd items. Dishes must be put in the lower rack up front, due to folding tines in the back, will not stay up with dishes, glasses covering the times works well.

I bought a LG refrigerator (model no. LFXS30766S) on December 2015. After two years of service the compressor went bad. I was able to get LG to replace the compressor, since it was still under its 10 year warranty although the repair cost me about $250 on labor cost. Now on February 2020 the second compressor when also bad. It is my conclusion that LGs linear inverter compressors are complete garbage and LG shall issue a recall and replace them or issue refunds to all customers with this problem.

My refrigerator stopped working on July 5th. I contacted LG the next day and the soonest they could have one of their certified repair vendors out was July 8th. At that time they determined it was the compressor which was still covered by warranty. They ordered the part and we were given the runaround. One day the part is being shipped, the next days its on back-order. After 2 weeks and too many phone calls to count we are told that that part is discontinued and they would have to research to see what to do. WHY DO YOU DISCONTINUE A PART ON A REFRIGERATOR THAT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY???2 weeks ago they said the part was being shipped and should be in on July 30th. Today is August 8th and we are told today the part should be in by the end of the week - August 12th. As of now I have been without a refrigerator for 5 WEEKS!!! We looked into the part ourselves and found out that we could order the part online and get it installed tomorrow but LG refuses to reimburse us for the part which is the warranty item. We asked them why they couldnt order from this company and they said they dont do that. They offered no pro-rated refund on my fridge as they initially discussed so Im stuck with either sitting another week without a refrigerator in the middle of the summer or I have to buy the part myself and pay for the WHOLE THING or go out and buy an entirely new refrigerator. How would they feel if their family didnt have a refrigerator for over 5 weeks. Thank God I have a wonderful neighbor who is letting me use her garage refrigerator. I am also out several hundred $$ in food that I have had to throw out because there was nowhere for me to store it and keep it cold for this extended period of time. NEVER EVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!!

I purchased an LG washer and dryer at Sears in Overland Park, KS. I have had service out twice complaining about dirty, dingy clothes and a loud banging sound when the washer is filling with water. Both times, I was told to use a high efficiency detergent and 1-2 tablespoons of detergent. I have complied. My clothes are still dirty and dingy. We have taken to soaking the whites in the sink in a Clorox solution to bring them back. I feel as though I might as well get a washboard out and do the laundry by hand.I replaced my upright washer, which was doing a fine job, so that I could have a quiet washer. The noise is louder and the clothes are embarrassingly dirty to the point where I cannot wear them.Nothing has changed in our laundry, same clothes, same people and same amount of wear. We do not perform any manual labor that would create unusually dirty clothes. My husband uses his washables to lie on the couch and watch television. I am a homemaker who hires out all of the dirty work. We both do workout, regularly. In theory, we are a washing machines dream customers.I hired a plumber to deal with the loud bang in the pipes and he told me it was the solenoid. Today, the solenoids were replaced and there is no change in the loud banging in the pipes. If anyone in the house is asleep, the washer cannot be operated because of the very loud bangs.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST in Feb of 2013 and have yet to use ice from it. The ice maker freezes up and will not dispense. It also leaks water around the edge of the ice maker and now there are water marks on the front of the fridge and freezer door. They keep giving me the run around. They have sent people out 3 or 4 different times to fix it and it still does it. Am very frustrated. Worst $3000 purchase I have ever made.

It was virtually impossible to get a repair service for LG refrigerator warranty work. It seemed to me that LG was making it difficult just so I would give up and not request the service. I could fill pages of text with all the frustration this service caused me. Two stars because of my determination I finally was able to get a warranty service to repair the LG refrigerator.

First repair company, Carolina Appliance, was awful. They are LG contractors but the serviceman I got was inept at diagnosing problem. I was told to order the main board to maybe solve problem or just buy a Whirlpool. Needless to say, he diagnosed wrong and Im stuck with a new main board because cant return. And the problem (non working ice machine) wasnt fixed. I called LG and begged them to help. They sent Ramon from Excel. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Ramon was professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. He contacted LG service team while here to troubleshoot problem properly. In the end he knew what he was doing and had my problem solved and with LGs amazing service, I have a new freezer door and a functioning ice machine. Thank you LG!

I have been reading many of the disturbing complaints in this forum regarding the LG washer recall and can only add to the frustration expressed here. My parents purchased one of the models that has been recalled (WT5101HV Serial No. 007KWYP02018), about 18 months ago. The machine was acting up, and they just got the letter about 2 months ago. We called LG and scheduled to have a technician come out, and they did the software patch download. This was a joke! It did not fix the problem, instead it only perpetuated it. Now, instead of the wash load spinning rapidly out of balance.... it spins much more slowly and still out of balance! In addition, the wash and rinse cycles still do not work properly. The machine starts the normal wash cycle, and never drains any of the soapy water! Instead, it keeps adding more and more water (just like before). It only drains all of the dirty soapy water (very slowly) at the end of the Full wash/rinse/and softener cycle. And it never properly spins the wet clothes to remove excess dirty water. This process takes 3 times as long as before, and the clothes never come out totally clean. A simple load can take all day to complete! They are ready to Dump the unit in the ocean! Does anyone know if there is any kind of class action or formal legal group that is trying to get LG to make customers whole?

My washer quit before completing its cycle. When I opened it to unload my laundry, it was still full of water. I closed the door and pressed the rinse/spin button. But it stopped again before completion, and the same thing again. This time I couldnt even open the door. Nothing seemed to work. Finally, after pushing buttons, it went completely through the rinse/spin cycle. I dont want to call La Mesa Appliance who is a factory approved service for LG, because I called them some months ago when the softener cup held water after the washer had completed its cycle. The repairman said this was normal, but it hadnt done this before, so I dont believe that. Meanwhile, I pull the drawer out and empty it after each wash. Im unsure whom to call for repairs.

LG electric Range LSB5611SW/SB/SS - I received a safety advisory note from
LG electric Range LSB5611SW/SB/SS - I received a safety advisory note from Sears that their burners on certain ranges were failing to turn off after being switched off. Sears was very quick in responding by sending a technician to replace a board. The technician turned on a burner to test that it was working. Later, I started to cook, turned on a burner to mark 5. Loud clicking noises were heard, not once but intermittently. It only stopped when I turned the knob to the highest point or turned it off. Upon my complaint to Sears, another contracted technician (Jim) was sent. He had to call an LG technician for instructions. He checked that the board was connected per LGs instructions, and upon turning on the stove again, he agreed with me that the clicks were loud. Jim said that he would report the matter to Sears. After not having heard back from Sears, I called them again. Apparently, there was no report about any clicking noises from the contractor. Each time, I get to speak to a different agent either in Montreal or Belleville. I then called Jim who assured me that he spoke with Sears in the Burnaby outlet. I then decided to call LG. I spoke with a Josh who asked me when the contracted technician replaced the monitor. I said in January. He said that there was a directive that went out that those units that were attended to prior to February 2013 had to be rewired. That meant that the monitor on my range was wired incorrectly and Sears should have sent a technician to correct the error. On March 18, 2013, I spoke with a Claude from LG who told me that there was no report of my conversation with Josh, and that he would get Josh to return my call. On April 5, 2013, I spoke with Tia explaining the whole story again. I asked to speak with a manager but he was in a meeting. In the meantime, I have purchased a two-burner stove. The clicking noises are annoying. The kicker is that other households have complained about the clicking noises. What is LG and Sears going to do about it? Can they correct the problem? Or is this problem insurmountable? It is 4 months since I received the notice from Sears.

My LG washer turned itself on when I was not at home. It filled up with water and because it was not in a cycle the door wasnt locked so the pressure from the water pushed the door open and the water continued to pour out. I came home to my house being flooded, water went through my vents and into my crawlspace. When the repairman came he witnessed the washer doing it all over again! I called LG, they told me to get 2 estimates, send them pictures, fill out documents and send them my old parts and I did. I thought they were going to help. I am now going into my 6th week of them leading me on to believe they are going to help me. They keep saying they have to do testing then they said they had to send the main control panel to Korea for further testing. I have over 30,000 in damages, my daughter is allergic to mold and not one person at LG gives a hoot! I am setting my LG washer & dryer at the end of my driveway (its 3 years old) I will never ever purchase anything with those initials on it again! Their customer service is as bad as their product! Oh it also leaks water from underneath during wash cycle too. The lady asked me at one point what cycle was your washer in when it leaked. I said AGAIN my washer was not in a CYCLE and it did not LEAK. It turned itself on, filled with water and sent out about 70 gallons of water. If you want to know what cycle my washer was in.... ask the washer! I had it on OFF!

Bought my LG from Sears one year ago. Within that time, I had it replaced five times. The bottom drawer builds ice and wont open. The back board went out and freezes and they wont give me another one. Wanted my money back from the first one, they said just try another one or I did five more times. They wont fix it so I have LG coming out to fix it today. Im still making payments on it and just want the new model. The part is on recall. Spent many hours on phone, six hours a day, 4 hours a day and so on. Well, its been a month. Sears has a very mean person in parts. She made me cry. She told me that I was scamming Sears. How the hell am I scamming Sears when they have been all broke last 2 1/2 months? Help. Im so stressed out. Please take my word. Do not buy from Sears model number lfc2077osw French door with bottom drawer.

I purchased the GE LG microwave because of the high ratings given to it by consumer reporting agencies. I paid over $300 for a microwave that began to have operating problems soon after it was purchased. Several times, I unplugged and rebooted the machine and it would work fine for awhile. Finally, one month before the one year warranty expired, an F-3 sign and sound told me that something was wrong with the microwave. I contacted General Electric a total of three times and gave them all information requested. I was told that the purchase price would be refunded in full. It never was!

When I called LG for service and scheduled an appointment I was told that I would have to pay for the labor to fix the problem. I am very unhappy to have spent so much money on a product that LG knew was going to fail.

Do NOT buy an LG dryer (DLG4971). I hardly had the dryer a month until it stopped heating. I was not going to be at the house where the dryer is for another 5 months so LG extended the warranty until I could get back to fix it. The igniter, valve and thermostats were replaced in May and in December the dryer doesnt heat AGAIN. Of course the dryer is out of warranty now and Lowes tells me the parts are under warranty for only 30 days. So my 1.5 yr old dryer is broke again. I dont like the LG washer either. Doesnt rinse very well. I sold it.

We bought the LG Dishwasher a few years ago, partly because it was considered one of the most quiet (the kitchen is open to the family room and the builder supplied dishwasher was so loud, it was impossible to do anything social during a wash cycle). But we also were sold on the purported quality and features. We got it and installed it. It was quiet as claimed. But it didn’t clean anything. Often, the soap dispenser wouldn’t open. It filled the inside with hardened calcified soap. We called LG, to no avail. They told us it must be our water pressure (we are on city water and the pressure is just fine). They also said that even though we had a warranty, that issue wasn’t covered and if they sent someone out and it was confirmed that the issue wasn’t warranted, we’d be charged $150 as a minimum visit. We already paid a lot for the appliance and didn’t want to get stuck with another bill. So we managed, mostly precleaning the dishes, washing them again when the soap didn’t dispense, and dealing with the calcified buildup in the inside. The drain hose leaked under the cabinet, and we were able to use drain hose tape to get by. Well finally, the water poured into our finished basement during a drain cycle late last night, right before we were all going to bed. We pulled the machine and found several leaks in the drain line. Thinking we could get a universal hose, we went to Home Depot where we originally bought it and discovered that we need to get the first part of the drain hose from LG and that could take weeks. That was it. We bought a Frigidaire Galaxy series for half the price and it arrives next week. We hope this will do what it’s supposed to do-wash dishes.

I spoke to the local service manager and he confirmed that warranty could not be given for the machines purchased outside India. However, asked him to order the part but, he could not get “any response from LG for the last two months. We bought our LG fridge from Best Buy about 4 years ago. Earlier this week our compressor stopped working. We lost the entire freezer and fridge of food. After calling the company and spending more than one hour on the phone they scheduled an appointment for me within 2 days and told me not to worry. It was under warranty. I waited home all day on the scheduled appointment from 12-5 and no one came. When I called the company supposedly coming, they told me they had no record of an appointment at my home. Upon calling LG back they said sorry this appointment was never actually confirmed but since everyone is closed, you call some service providers and we will pay them if they can come. No one will come, they all laugh at me and tell me that LG will never pay them and that it will take upwards of 8 weeks to even get an appointment with them. Ive now called LG back two more times, they made an appointment, confirmed an appointment and subsequently when calling that service company, they report they never received that confirmation so again they did not show up. This will be my 5th phone call upwards of 60 minutes on each and all they can offer me is $250 for loss of food. They are not willing to offer anything else to help out with possibly going 8 weeks without a fridge. To say this is disappointing is a huge understatement. I will never buy another LG appliance.

I like that its a side by side with one side entirely a freezer. I like that it has an ice maker on it. It is black and has several bins & door compartments. I wish it had been cheaper and I wish the ice maker produced more ice and didnt stop working off and on. Its hard to crouch down to the very bottom of the freezer to find things. Bought LG dish washer Oct 2018. 6 months in, it would not power on. After a month, repair was completed... that night it flooded my kitchen. That was Five (5) months ago. Since then they made a repair for the leak (I waited 2 1/2 months for the 3 parts) but repair did not work. Once again the dishwasher flooded my kitchen. I have been without a dishwasher going on 5 months now. Have been unable to get a straight answer from LG. I understand appliances might have problems —what I don’t understand is LG’s absolutely horrible customer service. We purchased new LG front load top of the line largest capacity washing machine (and Dryer) through Best Buy less than 1 month ago. The first time we used it with a large load of clothes it shook so bad it was bumping against the wall. We called for service and two very young men came as a team, looked at it for two minutes and said it was installed too close to the wall and that was why it was vibrating so bad. They moved it 3 away from wall and left without testing it.Next day, another load of clothes and no change, it sounds like a machine gun and a thrashing machine all in one. Another call to LG and they scheduled the LG expert to come out. He takes the washer apart and discovers one of the shock absorbers is missing the connecting pin and was never hooked up. He orders the part and returns a week later to make the repair. While he was here we complained about the second problem with this washing machine which is the water valves that open and close to allow hot and cold water to fill the washer do so in such an abrupt manner that our plumbing pipes bang all the way up to the second floor. His answers is we need to call a plumber to have our pipes fixed. Now we had two other washing machines in this exact location connected to the exact same pipes and never once heard our pipes bang. He also said we could google some third party suppliers of some sort of aftermarket connector that helps with this sort of problem. We should buy them at our expense. Ok we spent $1,200 for this top of the line washing machine and need to buy after market parts to make it work. Round 3 - we called to speak to the LG rep again and explain that the washing machine is still banging our pipes and when it goes into spin mode it shakes, uncontrollably and makes noises that sound like it is coming apart. They are sending another expert Monday. I will not be satisfied until they remove this piece of junk from our home and give us a full refund. I do not know what happened to this companys quality control. We previously owned top of the line LG washing machine and dryer that lasted for 10 years without a service call. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE. Pictures attached for make and model.

Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem with an LG washer. Both the service tech and the LG customer support techs said theyve never heard of it. I just discovered a few days ago that the machine does not add any water during the rinse cycle!!! Who knows how long Ive been wearing clothes and using towels that havent been rinsed. The tech replaced both circuit boards but it still does not work. LG insists that because the tech said that it does add a small amount of water there is nothing wrong.I tried to explain that a cup of water at the very end of the rinse cycle, which does not ever agitate and immediately drains out is NOT how its supposed to work. The tech said he doesnt know how much water is supposed to flow into the machine for the rinse cycle, but as long as something goes in, it means its working fine. Seriously? Im done being angry... just going to throw it out, but Im wondering if anyone else has had the no rinse water problem and if you were able to get it fixed. Thanks.

LG Top Loader WA48J7700A - I purchased this washer last month and hate this
LG Top Loader WA48J7700A - I purchased this washer last month and hate this machine! Not only does it not fill with enough water to cover the clothes, it doesnt even put enough water in to get all the clothes wet! When I look at the little bit of water that IS in the machine, it is dirty. I wondered, how does the little agitation in this dirty water get the clothes clean?? Oh! It doesnt! Today I am done! I am looking at a white shirt that is dirtier than when it was put in the washer (yes it was a light color load). I have noticed this before, along with dry spots on clothes after being washed! There is also often white streaks (detergent residue?) left on dark clothes. After reading other reviews that sound JUST LIKE MINE, I realize this is an ongoing problem (perhaps with all these energy efficient top loaders this is an issue?) I had a front loader prior to this machine and it too used little water but more than this does! And, the way a front loader works, the clothes were always moving unlike this machine where they almost stay put! On the phone right now with Home Depot to get this lousy machine out of my life!!! Im going back to a good old fashioned top loader that fills with water and washes the clothes!!!

I purchased an LG electric range in early 2013 and just two months later it malfunctioned. When I called LG for service they never called me back and then it started working on its own so I never called them back. However, on Thanksgiving morning it completely died. We checked everything and we could not get it to work. We were told by several people who work with electronics that it was probably the motherboard which is too expensive to replace as far as Im concerned. I am very unhappy with this product considering we paid seven to $800 for it just two years ago and now it is basically useless and will just go fill a landfill somewhere. I cannot find my receipt but I have spoken to LG repair regarding this item.

I recently moved into a new house that came with 1 HE LG Washer & 1 HE LG Dryer (Model DLE2150S). When I saw it was an LG brand coming into the house, I knew that I would be in lots of trouble. Needless to say, a little over a month of moving in and our HE dryer now does not turn on. I looked the simple troubleshooting in the manuals and it did not work. I then turned to the worst customer service I have ever experienced.I called LG Canada. I got to this lady who then proceeded to ask me what was wrong. I informed her and she asked me if I have unplugged it. I told her yes I have and plugged it back in. She asked me Well, Maam, how long did you unplug it? and I replied (knowing most computers take 10 sec to reload) 10 seconds. She replied, Oh no Maam, you must unplug for 30 min at least. Well how the heck was I supposed to know? After you do that, then plug it back in to reset and if it still has trouble turning on, which I highly doubt it will, you must contact sellers warranty. Well needless to say, it still doesnt turn on. Thanks for your useless and crappy service LG!

Contacted LGs customer service after major issues with the refrigerator one year and three weeks old. We were transferred to multiple customer service agents. Placed on hold at one point 2 1/2 hours. Funny thing is the message that plays when youre on hold how our time is so valuable to them. Each time you get a customer service representative you have to start from the beginning, Even though supposedly every phone call is documented.Of course, any reasonable person would escalate in their frustration with each one of these phone calls that were made. Not to mention the multiple times we were being transferred and hung up on and had to call back. Absolutely nothing is done until I had to raise my voice and demand to speak to someone that can get something done. When I finally got a corporate supervisor on the phone it took him less than 20 minutes to schedule an appointment and extend the warranty to have the refrigerator serviced. Any reasonable company that stand by their product would have done this from the beginning. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell everyone I know to think twice before they make a purchase.

I paid $2899 for my top of the line refrigerator. The linear compressor failed at 3yrs and we lost all of our food. The front electronic panel has been replace 2x and worked for a short time. The problem is the the ice dispenser turns itself on and it dumps all the ice on my kitchen floor. I have to lock the panel and not use any of the features that I bought the fridge for. If I go anywhere, I need to remove the ice bin as if the power goes off, the fridge will reset the panel and all the ice will dump and melt on my laminate floor. The LG customer service is non existent. Next time, I will buy a different brand as I am disgusted after owning for 3 yrs.

The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator
The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator. When we came back to town the refrigerator had broken and everything in freezer was defrosted. We had to throw away hundreds of dollars of food. We contacted Costco concierge who contacted LG. This is where the fun begins: LG referred us to a repair company that had gone out of business, but we were told we had to wait 48 hours for them to contact us. Then we were given the name of another company several hours away from us who called us right back stated that a part had to be ordered and received before they could fix it. This was done without ever evaluating the problem. When the part arrived several days later, we were told we now had to wait several more days before someone could come out and install it. After the part was installed, we were told to let them know if the refrigerator hadnt cooled by the next day. It had not. They need several more days before a repair person could be scheduled to come back. The person came back and was not qualified to fix the problem - LG had referred us to a company that was not qualified to do repairs! After 6 hours on hold over two days between Costco concierge, LG customer service, and LG resolution department, I asked for a new refrigerator because we were told the next repair company could not come out to even look at the refrigerator for another week! In the mean time we are living out of a cooler trying to keep my husband fed with a special diet to deal with his throat cancer. I was assured by someone in the Resolutions department that our request was expedited, but it was not. We are now told that they have a week to decide whether to give us a new refrigerator or continue to draw out repair on the current one after initially telling us we would hear by the next day. When calling again today, the date given by LG of when they will respond has been moved back yet again. So that 3 weeks out we still are no closer to a repair.

Installed unit from 7/15/2016. Morning 12/24/2019 wife noted dripping water into unit from front upper ice maker. Upper 56/lower 54 degrees. Merry Christmas, family coming, 12lb ham for Christmas & 10lb brisket for Christmas Eve. Immediately connected with LG phone & Clark the virtual voice response system. After 2 quick checks on virtual phone; 1) Yes unit is level and doors closed, 2) No change in fridge 37 degree setting recently; Clark at main office determined required service person & sent text message to file form online. Performed immediately & attached scanned copy 12/24/2019 of all prior receipt/invoicing paperwork for original install. Confirmed upon completion same time that original registration was in system by logging onto original registration account. NO RESPONSE after confirmation online that they had received my input or assigned anyone from local service. On 12/26/2019 evening located 2 available LG service centers in area from LG website, still no follow-up directly and no means noted to do such. Left voice message with one local service center 12/26. Next morning 12/27 called them again and resubmitted my invoice/installation paperwork for warranty confirmation to them via email & scheduled earliest available service visit for Tuesday 12/31/2019. Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! Is anybody there???

You would think with only 3 people in the house that a washer (WM2487HRM) would last longer than 8 years! My washers final load stopped on the rinse cycle and would not finish. I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. About 5 years ago the wiring in the back of the dryer started smoking. Thankfully we were home otherwise the house would have burned down. I ended up cutting the burnt wires and splicing in new wires to fix. Never again LG!!!

I upgraded kitchen appliances provided by my builder 4 years ago & thought I was purchasing quality along with customer service by purchasing the Sears Kenmore Elite manufactured by LG. In 2018, the compressor on the refrigerator went out and it took Sears almost two months to replace. In July, 2019 unit started getting hot; Sears repair service came out, worked from 7pm till 9:45 and said they repaired the unit but the next morning it was still not cooling or freezing. Ive had multiple food loss with no customer satisfaction of reimbursement. Ive called multiple appliance repair companies and all have said they choose not to service appliances MFG by LG because of poor workmanship! I am so disappointed because Ive work too hard to just donate to a mega companys bottom line. At this point I cant recommend any LG product based on my experience. After writing this Im still without refrigeration & no customer satisfaction!!!

DLEX3470W - Steam Fresh stopped working. Called LG - this unit less than two years old. They say no warranty. Called repair service tech. Showed me voltage going from ecb to heater when power switch on, dryer turned off, and panel breaker on, to steam heater and steam heater burnt open. So ecb and heater bad. Major safety issue. Unit off and power going to heater from ecb when off - fire hazard. Cost of repair $461.57. Dryer cost $900.00 hum. Dryer is unsafe. Also serviceman trying to get part price while here got no help from LG. There are no safety circuits to protect unit from failures like I had. Board fails, burns out more devices. Cost of ownership in a little over a year $1500.00, plus not a good value.

I bought a french door model# LFC25776ST less than 4 years ago. Last November the compressor broke, after much runaround and redundant customer service, it was fixed under warranty (I paid labor of course as well as service calls from multiple technicians). LG gave me several names of repair techs they claimed were in my area, none of them were. I ended up finding one that can work on LG brand and convinced LG they were the only one in my area. 6 months later, the freezer and fridge are sitting around 40 degrees. The repair tech replaced the motherboard and fan before concluding the compressor failed again. I called LG and after they insisted on troubleshooting over the phone, they were convinced my fridge was not level, even though I told them a professional had diagnosed it already. I verified with 3 different levels that my fridge was sitting perfectly square. I guess Im just going to have to buy a new compressor every year until the 10 year sealed system warranty is up. I really wish I could talk to someone who actually knows what theyre talking about and cares about the customer. They outsource their call center to India where these people are just reading off a screen. GARBAGE. DONT BUY LG.

I purchased a brand new LG Range, Model #LDE3031ST that was delivered from Best Buy on February 8, 2014. I am only at this residence on Saturday and Sunday where the Range is, so it gets minimal use. On April 8, 2014, the bottom oven of the range stopped working. I contacted Best Buy who referred me to LG. I jumped through hoops with LG. They insisted I send them a receipt documenting that the unit was new and still under warranty. I did this the same day. No response. Two days later, I call again. I am given the number of the local repair company who is suppose to fix it. Fine, it was a Saturday so I was told by LG that I should hear from them on Monday. I did not. On Tuesday, I receive an email with a repair date of Tuesday. I call LG to find out what time and they tell me that it has been cancelled because the repairman said I wasnt available. I never received a call and I actually have someone sitting at the residence all day this day. I am told that they can come out Friday (today). Fine, I have someone sitting there waiting. I call LG this morning. They are closed for the holiday. I call the repairman. This is my third call to the repairman who has not returned my calls. He is rude and states that they have no repairs scheduled for today. That maybe Monday or Tuesday he will call me. Easter is Sunday. I have 20 people coming over that I have to feed cold cereal because the oven doesnt work.I am getting a run around for a lemon. I have been waiting 20 years for a new range that works. I am not happy with this one. LG does not stand behind their product. When I continually call, I am confronted each time with a, what seems to be the problem. Evidence they do not keep records. Do NOT buy from LG. Its the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. I plan on opening a claim with the BBB and my local Attorney General.UPDATED ON 01/23/2015: I had written a previous review regarding the horrible service I received from LG. Since my original review, a service tech has come out to my home 4 more times to fix the same issue. LG refused to give me a new range. For the year I owned the range, 15 days was the waiting period I had to wait for the stove to be delivered. The first service call I did not have a working range for 6 weeks. The second service call, no range for 3 weeks. The third, no range for two weeks and the last service call, no range for 4 weeks. So out of the 12 month warranty, my range only worked less then 8 months. Buyer BEWARE. Every holiday last year was ruined because of this stupid range. Every holiday, I was without a range that worked and LG responded with, We are very busy with it being the holidays. The service tech, which was very nice and not working directly for LG but an independent that I made them send because the LG tech never showed up and never called. The tech told me that these stoves constantly have trouble because its a smart stove and the motherboard can break from a brown out or the simplest things. Run from LG.

Purchased a BRAND NEW Kenmore Elite 2014. Within 6 months, had a frozen drain which froze up the food in the refrigerator part. It was under warranty, so fixed without cost. I lost food though. In Jan 2019 the evaporator, compressor and dryer broke!! It would have cost close to 1,000.00 to fix, so I bought a service contract with Sears, monthly cost of 50.00 to cover all the new appliances I had purchased from Sears. It still cost 99.00 for the diagnostic. I lost food again!!! Now July 10, 2019 the evaporator broke again, not even 7 months old and again I LOST FOOD!!! I purchased LG washer and dryer, the best in STEAM technology and thought I did a good deal. While we dont know yet if the washer and dryer perform well or not, we were shocked the first time we used the washer today to hear a lot of banging. We discovered the water tap was not open. Then when the washing was ready, it was wrinkled so we suspected the rinsing was done with warm water!! And that was true; the techs from SEARS installed the hoses wrongly. I give the SEARS install team 2 stars, thats it.Then, I called LG Customer support to complain about SEARS and they basically dont care. During the call, I discovered that the one who answered, with very lousy English, was a total ignorant and didnt know anything about a thing. We recently purchased a LG fridge and have been happy with is so far. It is a top/bottom layout with the door in a door with the glass window. It is convenient to grab drinks and other often used items. It keeps everything very cool inside. We set it a few degrees lower to help keep the door items cool. The front items in the door average about 40 degrees while the inside is around 33-35. The Freezer section stays around 0 as desired so no issues there. Redid my kitchen and went to BrandsMart and bought a complete LG kitchen package, Worst quality product ever. After about 2 or 3 months the fan stops working so we call Brandsmart. Worst customer service ever. They should be ashamed, the guy came out and didnt even have the proper equipment with him to de-ice the fan. My husband had to loan him the equipment. P.S. it works for about 6 months then stops working again so we call Brandsmart again. The guy comes out and resets the refrigerator by unplugging it and plugging it back it, of course that didnt work.I call LG who sends out their own technician who said it was the motherboard. That gets replaced, only to work another 2 months. Now they are replacing the compressor and the two evaporators. I am out of manufacture warranty but LG is covering the labor cost but are giving me a hard time. I requested a new refrigerator and a refund and who knows if that is going to happen. This whole process has been like pulling teeth, I have also been without a refrigerator twice, for 3 weeks each time. They are also giving me a one time food loss credit. Dont know how much, but I think a class action lawsuit is in order, the anxiety and stress dealing with the stupid techs and the customer service is too much. I dont think I can do this a 5th time. The refrigerator is only one year old now.

Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017
Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017. However, the label is stamped with manufactured 2013 so it cant be more than 4 years old. This model lists for $2,400 ++. It is a beautiful appliance, but beauty is only skin deep here. The fridge stopped cooling and freezing in Aug 2017; thats way too soon for a durable goods product. ALL of my previous fridges (Amanda, Frigidaire, Kitchen Aid) lasted over 10 years without issue when I left them for the next homeowner. The one homeowner says Frigidaire is still running without issue and its over 17 years. Anyway, I called LG customer service and we ran the SMART Diagnosis process but the rep said it didnt reveal any errors; I guess it isnt so smart after all. We did get the unit to display a error code 22, which according to the LG website, indicates a compressor relay failure. Its a small, easily accessible, inexpensive part ($12 for similar parts on Amazon) but LG customer service refused to provide me with a parts list and service manual and said that only LG certified techs can repair it. Since the remaining LG warranty only covers parts, Im guessing at least $200-$350 labor costs based on posts for similar repairs. So, after 3 days of waiting on the LG recommended techs to make an appointment, I contacted a repairman recommended by 2-10 Home Warranty. They came next day and replaced the relay but it still isnt working; so much for the reliability of the error codes. He said a fuse on the control board blew and since the fuse is soldered in, the whole board needs replaced. (PS I have the fridge on a surge protector). I asked him candidly if this was an ongoing problem, his response was he does several per month but unfortunately cant keep the boards in stock so its at least another week to get the replacement part. So after two weeks, Im still living out of coolers and my daughters dorm room fridge.Luckily we had the 2-10 Home Warranty that came with the purchase of our home. Otherwise, the cost would be significantly higher. So Im looking at a $100 deductible, plus cost of food spoilage, plus cost of ice for coolers. In addition to the cost, its a huge inconvenience to constantly manage the issue (phone calls, service appointments, waiting on parts, swapping ice, etc) all this to fix a supposed top of the line fridge. Its not right to have a durable goods product fail after 4 years, and based on my experience with customer service, and based on parts availability, and based on responsiveness of the LG techs, and based the blogs, I wont buy any LG product no matter what it is. The internet mentions a class action suit brewing, I will surely sign on when I get the right contact.

Poor quality and terrible customer service. We purchased new refrigerator one year ago to go in vacation home. After 6 months of light use, compressor on ice maker went out. Have been trying to get it repaired since February to no avail. Custom service at LG is a total joke! They keep saying they have contacted a repairman but I never hear from the person and when I try to call repairman, I get an unidentifiable voicemail and my calls/messages are never returned. Four times, I have asked LG to contact a different repair person, but they keep calling the same guy back. They are now hinting that my warranty is close to lapsing, but I have been trying to get the repair completed since there were four months left on the warranty period. If you want aggravation in your life purchase LG, if not, purchase Sub Zero or KitchenAid. Ive owned both and never had a problem.

I purchased an LG refrigerator (Model LFX31925ST) on Nov. 25, 2011. On Feb. 10, 2012 (less than 3 months later), the refrigerator stopped working. I called LG for repair and they sent a repairman 5 days later who told me it was broke (no **) and he would have to order parts. They were ordered 5 days later. 2 days later, I called the repair service, Expert Appliance Repair and they said one of the parts was backordered with no ETA. They suggested I call LG again to see if I could get an ETA or a replacement. I did this, and after a lot of stonewalling, I was told I was out of luck that I would have to wait on parts and that there was no ETA. I now have a refrigerator that broke down after a couple of months and have currently gone 12 days with no refrigerator. Never mind the cost of lost food/frustration. Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.

We have had the worst experience with our front load LG Washer. It does not wash clean, the clothes come out dirty. It does not wash and rinse with enough water, sometimes when a load is in the rinsing stage I look inside, I can see some part of my clothes are still looking dry... I have been doing laundry for 30 years, I had Whirlpool, Samsung washers, I never encountered any problem. With LG it is a headache, I never had to use bleach, now I find myself using bleach when washing my towels. This is not my only problem. The machine displays 53 minutes for a cycle but then the whole process ends up taking like 2 hours. Our machine is under warranty so we called them twice and both times the repairman came and basically said that there is nothing wrong with our machine, it is doing what is supposed to do. I believe that it was not built right, there was be some errors in the way they designed it. It should not even been called LG washing machine, it should be called LG dirtying machine. I will never buy any LG products again.

My wife purchased a LG Gsl545pvyv American fridge freezer by John Lewis on November 2015. For today it has been around 2 months, the water dispenser is faulty and stopped working. I called the LG Customer Services but there was not any polite help. They passed the problem to a third party engineer company to sort the problem out (I do not think LG has their own technical unit). On two occasions the third party engineer company visited my house but still the water dispenser was not working. Also when the engineer company visited my house they have given a whole day appointment as they do not give time slots. Already I have wasted two working holidays and I will never buy any LG product after this.

Bought the LG direct drive dishwasher in May 2012, worked for 2 years then stopped working. We had a repair person come out and they replaced the motor and drain pump which didnt fix it. They came back and replaced the motherboard which didnt fix it, then replaced the water inlet and it worked for 2 months and now its not working properly again, not drying dishes. I think its the heating element this time, ridiculous.

Out of warranty, 3 year old top of the line all stainless unit (3.7 cu. ft. capacity), now water temperature goes up to 98 F at most during all wash cycles. A Sears’ contract proved no better. The Sears tech put in a new heater unit, it made no difference. Even though the water is tepid at best, the worker from Sears says it is working fine and he sees nothing wrong with the machine until a month ago. I got nice hot water when I washed my clothes. Now, I have to settle for tepid water or cold.

My husband and I really researched washer/dryer sets. Living in CA, we want
My husband and I really researched washer/dryer sets. Living in CA, we wanted to be as green as possible, but also get value from our purchase. We settled on the LG Steam Front Load Washer and Dryer, and at first were very happy. However, not too soon after our purchase, I noticed that my tank top straps were tearing, my husband found tears and rips in new t-shirts and some underwear was twisted to the point of being ruined. Finally, after numerous clothing loss, which was starting to get expensive, I researched what was going on and found that the dryer lint screen was the culprit; in fact, many other people appeared to have the same problem. I tried at first to purchase a replacement on Amazon, but there is no way to get this without paying full original manufacturer price (the only lint screen that is not available on Amazon, btw). Clearly, the manufacturers know that this is a defect in their dryer, but I went ahead and purchased a new one. It came three weeks ago, and I immediately replaced the screen.Within two loads (and we do not overload our washer... in fact, I usually run small loads because I am a dance teacher and my children take dance class regularly, so there are multiple small loads of dancewear), the same problem occurred. Again, torn leotards, twisted and ruined tights, bras damaged beyond salvaging, etc., etc. Should I purchase a mesh bag for these items? There are so many items that these dryers damage, that it would be counterproductive. However, I did try with a lingerie bag and the actual cord got so tangled around the bag because of this defective lint screen that I had to throw the bag out.Just tonight I lost three items (please see the photo, below). If I could I would rip this dryer out and put it on the corner, and purchase something else. I will never buy an LG product again. I am disappointed and upset at not only the waste from the purchase of this machine, but the loss of all my garments this machine was meant to clean and maintain. Shame on LG.

Thirteen days after the manufacturers warranty expired, this microwave quit working mid cycle. This happened in the evening, but I was still able to get a customer service rep on the phone. They suggested that I call back during the day and ask for a manager and that since it was so close to the warranty that they would most likely pay for a repair. Not the case. In fact its the complete opposite. The morning service rep would not even send me over to a manager but insisted on telling me that small purchases dont matter to them. If it were a refrigerator or TV, they would consider it, but not a counter top microwave. So if youre looking to spend money and have a microwave break in a year’s time, this piece is for you! I will never buy anything LG again solely based on this experience with their customer service, quality of product, etc.

We purchased our French Door Refrigerator in Nov. of 2011 from Home Depot for over $2500. We had not problem with the unit until May of 2014 when the it stopped working. Calls to LG resulted in a service call but we did have to wait for several days for service which of course means you have to find a place for all your food so you dont lose it. Ok - repair guy came out and replaced the fan assembly behind the freezer stating that it needed a stronger fan to keep it from freezing up. OK - unit was noisier than before but it did work. Until May of this year when the same thing happened again! Same repair guy - same fix. After he left it did start making a louder noise so we called him back. When he came back he said that is just the normal noise the new fan makes and rather rudely left! This week the unit quit working again!About six weeks later the last call - we unplugged it and plugged it back in but still had to move all the food again since it was thawing out. Had to wait 24 hours for the repair guy to come once again and apparently unplugging it caused it to reboot because it did start cooling again. ** the repair guy walked in, pointed his infrared thermometer and said Well - it is working, there is nothing wrong with it and refused to do anything else - accused of yelling at him - which we werent and stomped out of our house! Subsequent calls to customer service were not very helpful. They all give you the same responses like they are reading it off of cue cards - all denying culpability and trying to put it on us instead of admitting that their product is faulty! And this model has had a class action lawsuit against so we know there is a problem! My advice - do not buy an LG product. They are not the quality you pay for and if you have a problem, you will not get any help from them at all. Their consumer service department treats you without respect and without true concern for taking care of the problem.

The representative of the insurance company told me to wait, it completely crazy and it falls. What will you do without it if I use the self cleaning. Why pay an extended warranty? LG Why not admit that the glass has a manufacturing defect to change the door of an oven that has a defect? I have this range for only 15 months, and I used the oven only 8 times.

Purchased an LG Direct Drive washing machine model WT5001CW in 2011 from Sears. Seemed to be working well. Would get UE error for unbalanced loads now and then, and machine would stop. In 2013 we received a recall repair notice and as a good consumer scheduled the repair. Since then, the machine has not worked properly. We get UE message sometimes but typically at the 9 minute point in cycle, it goes into a continual refill/empty mode. We have to reposition clothing and try to get it to spin clothes but it rarely does. We end up having to cancel the cycle and re-program a spin only cycle. Sometimes this resolves the issue but most of the time doesnt. I called LG today to let them know what is happening and got nowhere. The rep said I am out of warranty date. I explained this has been happening since recall fix but it didnt matter. He offered to schedule a repair but it would cost a minimum of $200. Basically, a 4 y/o super expensive ($900) washer is defective due to their repair.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator on 04/25/2017 and we were excited to have the French doors, added space and the two freezer doors. Our previous refrigerator (GE) is still running strong and is well over 10 years old and has had no problems. Less than 3 years of owning our LG, the freezer can no longer reach 32 degrees and the temperature in the refrigerator is 40+ and the ice maker no longer makes ice. It’s disappointing that a refrigerator less than three years old, cost $2,000 and conveniently just recently became too old for warranty coverage is now breaking down. We are currently looking at repair options and have heard it’s likely the compressor and that fix could cost $1000. We will see. I am happy though that we are fortunate to still have our GE refrigerator running strong. Disappointed in the quality and durability of our LG refrigerator. I expected more.

First LG purchase was in Nov. 2009 with a convection oven/stove and dishwasher. Bought them at hhgregg and purchased the extended warranty. Moved out of that home in May 2010 and left the appliances there as I had planned on renting out that home. The end of May (for my new place) I purchased an LG front loader washer and dryer (Home Depot with extended 5 yr warranty) because it seemed like LG was a good brand from all the reviews I had read. Got renters in the next month for my old house and they were in there about a year. We left the house empty with someone checking on it every couple days for a year and a half. We moved back in Dec. 2012. We moved out again in March of 2014 to a larger home but took the stove with us. The dishwasher started having issues in July of 2014 for our new tenants. Our extended warranty covered it and the repairs ended up costing more than it was to buy a new one so it was completely replaced by the warranty. All in all, the dishwasher was used for about 3 of those 5 years before needing replacement. In December 2014 my dryer wont power on at all and I have to call Home Depot for the repair. They tell me its the motherboard and it gets replaced. This ends up being about a $200+ repair covered by the warranty. That same month, my LG oven wont heat up. The display says its 350 but I can easily touch the racks, and food is not cooking. My stove is no longer under warranty so the expense is on me. I call a repair guy out who tells me its one of the heating elements. $125 later everything seemed fine until 8 months later when now my washing machine wont drain and my stove has another issue. Neither are under warranty. The washing machine needs a new pump at about $200. My stoves motherboard gets replaced at about $200. Fast forward to April 2016. Stove not heating up again. Had appliance guy out who tried telling me we dont have enough electricity coming into our house after charging me $200 for some electrical part he said was bad and it didnt solve the problem. I called electric company who checked everything and house had plenty of juice. Got part of my money back from the appliance guy since he misdiagnosed the stove and cost me more money. Husband replaced the second heating element (theres two in this particular model) and everything seemed fine until August of this year. Washing machine is giving pump failure message again, dryers display is not working right (cant see how many minutes left -- digital display unreadable), and the stove went out again. Stove was approx 5 years old before we started replacing part after part. Washer and dryer were 5 years old before we started having issues. I have an LG fridge and dishwasher (purchased Dec. 2014), but I think these will be my last appliance purchases from LG. 3 appliances getting replaced is ridiculous in one month. Quality is just not important anymore to these companies. I dont expect them to last forever, but 7-8 years would have been nice. Will not purchase another LG appliance.

This is a letter I sent to the President and CEO of the Co. I am writing in
This is a letter I sent to the President and CEO of the Co. I am writing in regards to a repair problem Im having with my LG refrigerator model #LFX31025ST. At the beginning of May 2017 I noticed that it was not cooling properly and making a strange sound. Within a few days the temperature was well above normal range 45 degrees plus and continued to rise in the both the refrigerator and freezer. At that point I made a call to LG, (May 8) and was told my extended warranty was expired but I was still covered with my manufacturer warranty for the compressor. I then purchased a warranty from Assurance as suggested by LG customer service for the cost of $358. Had an appointment set up, then waited 16 days for the first appt. The first technician that came out said it was the condenser and he needed to order a part. (Service date May 19.) The second tech came out on (service date June 5) to install condenser and said the compressor was bad as well and that apparently the first tech missed it. He then proceeded to order parts but never bothered to call when they came in, until I called 4 or 5 times to inquire. My next service date was on June 21. Repairs made, but still did not cool! He also made a total of 3 cuts to my new kitchen floor which I have pictures of and never mentioned it to us! We didnt notice until the Authorized LG Tech saw upon pulling out the fridge for the 3rd repair. Our next service date was June 27, but the tech was a no-show. Called LG and they apologized and said it was their fault for not confirming. At that time I was set up for another appt. on July 5. When they didnt show again I was told by LG that when they called G&A Appliance (the co. that had been servicing us) G&A stated there was nothing more they could do. I still dont understand why they would make me wait another 8 days before saying something. So LG set me up with a Authorized Service Tech who came out on July 19. He examined the fridge and found the subsequent work to be inferior and not complete. More parts needed to be ordered and installed.Next repair date July 25, work was done, system seemed to be cooling before tech left. Was advised not to put anything in it for a couple days just to be sure. Over the next 48 hrs the fridge got down to a temp of 45 but no lower and the freezer got to 20 but no lower. Called LG back to sched. tech to come back out and was told there was no openings. I asked to speak with a supervisor and got a nice woman named Brenda, who said she was putting me on a anytime/anyday timeframe. She was also marking it as a reclaim.Waited 6 days and never heard from anyone so called back on Aug 2 and spoke to Jewel who said I was on the sched. for Aug 8. Well Aug 8th arrived and no service tech!!! Called and spoke to Jason this time and was told I needed to sched. my appt. through Assurant because my original warranty was up. Well my compressor is warrantied for 10 yrs so no, my warranty is not up and the repairs thus far have not worked. Well I complied and called Assurant and was told they have no available appointments... Really?? He said to call back in a few days to see if theres an opening. I have never heard of such a thing. So in summary Ive been without my refrigerator for over 3 months with apparently no fix in sight. Spent countless hours, yes HOURS on the phone explaining my problem and setting up appts. I bought my LG refrigerator only 5 yrs ago along with a stove, microwave, and dishwasher all LG. The fact that the fridge had a 10 yr compressor warranty was a big part of our decision to purchase, not mention the roomy interior as opposed to other manufacturers models and the excellent LED lighting! At this time Im asking for a replacement or refund of this product which you have been unable to repair under the warranty. I feel that I have been more than patient in this matter. I really cant continue to live out of a cooler. I appreciate you taking the time to read my email, I look forward to speaking with someone to resolve this matter.

Brought a LG dryer DLEX3370W on 04/22/2017. Worked fine until 08/21/2017, called Lowes since I also purchased the extended warranty, Lowes stated that it was still under manufacture warranty and my troubles began. LG did not send a repair guy until 9/11/2017, he diagnosed as needed the heating element. He ordered the part, came back out on 09/18/2017, replaced the entire heating unit (assemble, thermo and element). The tech called service since it didnt work. At first they went through the diagnosis system still not working, he had to call different times. At one point they said it was my electricity not working correctly lol.The house is only 8 years old but he tested it no problem there. 4th call to them he tested the something in the back. It started to work so thinking it was resolved the tech put all back together again and left. Washed some clothes and here we are again DRYER NOT HEATING, called LG back and they are telling me the tech has to come out again. SMH. Called Lowes. They are putting it on them, and LG simply just do not care that their product is crap, they have poor customer service, so here I sit with a 700 dryer that does not work waiting for the tech to come back out. I purchased a DLGX3471V dryer and I have to say, I so regret tossing my perfectly good Kenmore for this piece of junk. It never fails but EVERY load I dry comes out with ripped and torn clothing from catching on the lint tray that no longer fits into the door slot. The plastic breaks apart and catches on the clothes (especially bra straps and tank tops) making them unusable. I have lost a ton of pants and shirts being mangled and ripped by the broken pieces of plastic on the lint tray. We purchased an LG fridge and stove from Home Depot on January 3, 2014. We were given a date for delivery of Jan 24, 2014. So my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery. At 9:30 am we received a call from Home Depot asking if we had received a call from LG with our delivery time? We answered, no, we had not, and Home Depot staff said he would call LG to see when it was coming. Several hours later with no return call from anyone I called Home Depot (2:30 pm), only to be told that our products were out of stock and would now not be delivered until Feb 4, 2014. So upset over taking a day off and not even the smallest of respect for LG to call and inform us that our products were not coming, we wait until the next date. For Feb 4th comes and again my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery (surely if it was not coming today LG would have called to inform us). By 11 am we heard nothing so I placed a call to LG myself. It was at this time I was given the run around. I asked her if it was customary for them to not call their clients to inform them that their delivery is not coming. She told me it was Home Depots responsibility (I spoke with Home Depot and the told me it was their responsibility). I explained that I felt that was horrible customer service to not provide common courtesy. I let her know that it cost us money to stay at home for the 2 days and they couldnt pick up the phone. The customer services lady could not help me and when I asked to speak to a manager the manager would not take my call and instead gave me the number to call the delivery department. It was then I spoke with them and was told that it wasnt coming today either and had no idea when it was coming. Eventually we found out another delivery date of Feb 12. I wonder if I will ever get the items I paid for??

Noticed rust around dispenser drawer and filter door. There has been no misuse or spillage, this seems to be happening due to over sloshing as dispenser is emptying during wash cycle. Also we saw on other reviews where this is happening to other washer brands as well and I would agree with one service man’s opinion that cutting corners on paint seems to be the problem as the paint is extremely thin on this machine. This is clearly obvious as the area where the problem occurred had to be sanded in order to stop the rust from running down the face of the machine and spreading rust all over my floor. I paid a huge amount of money for this machine and the matching dryer and pedestals when we remodeled our home, I wanted high-end look for the resale of our home. We have sold our home and personally I will not buy a new set for the home we are building even though I loved the performance of the machines, too bad they ruined their wonderful products by cutting corners on a simple thing like paint. News flash LG, a cheapskate in your company is going to ruin your product’s name! Shame on you for charging a high quality price for a great machine only just to ruin it and anger the consumers by screwing them over paint.

We purchased an expensive LG French Door Refrigerator LFXS30766S/02 October 31, 2015. Two weeks and a half weeks ago (at not even three years old), the ice in the door melted all over the floor. Then, the whole thing died. I called LG and was told that someone would call back in 3-5 business days to schedule an appointment. No one called. A few days later, two huge boxes from FedEx randomly showed up. They sent a compressor and two other parts without even looking at it. Still no call. After reading an overwhelming amount of complaints/reviews and finding out that no one around here is willing to work on LG, we decided to just purchase a new refrigerator. We had lost at least $500.00 worth of food and not taking any chances. Who knows how long we would have had to wait. At 12 days in, LG called to see if anyone had called. I had told them no. 14 days in, another person called to ask the same question. I cant believe they havent been held accountable for this issue. Thankfully, we had our new refrigerator delivered this morning and had the LG piece of junk hauled away. We will never purchase ANY LG product again.

They tell me I must call a repair person, but I dont think there is a fix for this defect and the washers should be recalled.

I bought this oven for my husband in December. In July he cooked a pork roast in the lower oven. The area between the 2 panes of glass filled with grease and condensation. We looked at the top of the door and it is designed without any type of seal to prevent this from happening. I called the company and they said this is a maintenance issue and not covered. There is absolutely no way to clean this awful looking door so now Im left with a new oven that looks 30 years old and dirty. This is a terrible design flaw and no business should carry LG if they dont stand behind their products. The oven looked very pretty in the store with its blue interior, but, unless you never plan to cook I would not recommend even considering this oven. Wish I would have read these reviews before my purchase, thats what I get for impulse buying. Ill now be back to Best Buy shopping for a new oven and giving this one to the scrappers.

Bought a top of the line LG washer. Washes regular loads of clothing well -- HOWEVER -- do NOT plan to wash sheets or mattress pads! No matter how I balanced the load, the machine cannot get through the spin cycle. This morning, I have taken some out (that didnt help) -- added the removed blanket back (that didnt work - no matter how I repositioned the items) -- put the first piece back and added additional sheets, hoping that would enable the machine to spin (nope - still wont spin!) I replaced my older Maytag front loader with this LG one and am SOOOO sorry we did! Please pay attention to the other reviewers advising against purchasing one of these LG washing machines! They are not exaggerating! This is a nightmare! LG serviceman could not help -- told me to only place items that fill the washer 2/3s full. Doing with this with bedding only makes the unbalance worse. Not sure what Im going to do with the wet mess I have in my laundry room at this point! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

Bought stove in October of 2016. Didnt have gas line installed until Dec, but noticed when we reached up to use microwave we were accidentally turning one or both burners on. Called J. C. Penney about problem but were told that no gas would be released until the knob was turned far enough to light the burner and we would hear the clicking and would have time to turn it off. When we had gas installed to stove we found that wasnt the case. Just a small bump would allow gas to release without warning. Very dangerous situation. At 64 years old we should not have to worry about such a problem. Spoke to J. C. Penney about the problem and were told if we had bought their warranty they could look into it. We were told to contact LG but are put in hold for literally an hour or more until I get frustrated and hang up. Wanting to know what consumer protection agency we can contact about the dangers of this stove. Havent used the oven enough to say if there are problems with that. Sounds like this should be a class action.

I purchased a brand new 36 door in door refrigerator. It died after just 28 months. It was out of warranty but LG offered me a out of warranty deal. I paid $320 to have the problem repaired no matter how big or small it was. After 4 weeks of waiting, countless phone calls and emails, I found out that LG do NOT have one single company who will repair their appliances be it under warranty or not! The products look nice but they are all JUNK! Absolutely no service, warranty or satisfaction whatsoever. At the same time I purchased the refrigerator, I also bought a over the range microwave, dutch oven and dishwasher. I got less than 2 months out of the dishwasher before the black stainless steel started to peel!!! LG should not be allowed to operate! This business is horrible!

It has new technology than my previous fridge. I also enjoy the experience that I have gotten out of it thus far which is honestly the best experience I would say I have ever had with LG appliances. I really enjoy the purification of the water because I live in the country off well water and it seems to help lessen the taste which I really enjoy with this new LG fridge. I like the app that is available as well as how durable the fridge is, I greatly appreciate it.

I purchased an LG French 3 door refrigerator May 2015 LMXS30776S. This refrigerator work 4 years until the compressor stop working. LG sent a repairman and replaced the compressor (LG paid for the replacement 10/18/19). This compressor stop working 11/18/19. Again LG sent repairman and replaced the compressor. The 3rd compressor has now lasted 10 days. LG has scheduled another repairman to come out Thursdays. This will be the the 4th compressor in 4yrs of the life of this refrigerator. LG has spend thousands of dollar on labor and parts with this applicance. This has been a issue with this company about the compressor not working properly. Why should customers go through this trouble?

We got our LG refrigerator about three years ago. I was very surprise when my wife said it stop working. We called LG and was told it would be $125 for a servicecall, plus labor. They sent a compressor out that morning before the service man got there. In talking with the guy he said they knew it was the compressor. It would $225 to fixed. He said he did three a day. The company know this is a problem.

The ice machine has broken. Pieces of plastic were coming out when you use the crush or ice cubes machine. My daughter and my husband almost choked on a big piece of plastic. I never had this problem before. I dont understand how it is broken. It also leaked in the front of the refrigerator and left puddles on the floor. What is going to be done about this problem? I cant even use our ice machine, because I am afraid that one of us will swallow pieces of plastic. I need an immediate response please. I want to see about getting an attorney.

I bought $4000 LG refrigerator LRMDC2306S in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling from mid January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code on the control panel turned out to be an issue with a compressor. The part is even backordered for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Pacific Sales manager was no help. I talked to many people at Best Buy customer service. They didn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period was over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. I was told LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks and the approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now I am unsure of how long I have to live more without it. I have been calling LG customer service 3-4 times every week for a month to follow up. I have to repeat myself whenever I call for 30-40 mins because the notes are not complete and they don’t have a matching report from a tech side. Return authorization department is never connected even with an hour wait. It is ridiculous you get to use a refrigerator only for 2 months and you don’t get any help or support despite $4000 spent on an appliance with a major defect. I’m so frustrated with all the inconvenience caused by this refrigerator. I hope Best Buy and LG build up a better follow up system and prompt return service for defective products.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer several years ago. I absolutely hate them, but they cost a small fortune, so I am not ready to buy new ones. Here are my complaints: my clothes never get cleaned; it doesnt use enough water to get them cleaned! They always have a mildew smell. Now my detergent draw will not open. It is stuck for about a month, but it would eventually open. From all the complaints I have been reading, why has the Better Business Bureau (BBB) not gotten involved? My sister bought an LG refrigerator, and she also had multiple problems with it! I will not be buying another LG product!

Puchased LG Washer (top loader) in May 2018, had it delivered & set up, and got NO instruction on how to use the item. It tears rugs, uses too little water, wastes water, does not clean clothes, and I am told to not wash heavy items, then again not to wash light items. No response from LG even after unknowledgeable repair visit, and Home Depot (Seller) will not return calls. Worst washer on the marked, for sure.

The washing machine is making strange (not normal noises). We called a private service company and their tech said the tub is out of round and replacing that, with the other things that are bad causing this problem, would require two technicians and cost between $800 and $1,000. Please help.

The above is a repair order number. The rating is NOT for the LG technician that repaired my LG refrigerator. The rating is because this is the second time my compressor has gone out. Exactly a year from the replacement, it broke down again. I am very dissatisfied with the compressor and LG.
