French door, bottom freezer. Freezer space very good & easy to use with drawer providing better access. Door for milk and other items reduces times opening refrigerator. Would prefer two larger veggie drawers instead of three. Has larger meat drawer at bottom which allows for many shaped items. Just check local area for repair centers just in case something may need to be repaired for any brand appliance purchased.

I own the LG WT5101HW top load washer. I purchased 3yrs ago from Best Buy. We have a family of 5 so I hoped the extra large capacity would be a great option. Unfortunately we have benefited from this option due to it throwing it off balance and giving an UE code. We received a recall letter and had the LG repair guy change the part (I believe the circuit board) in September 2013. Its no ones fault but mine that Ive waited 9mo to complain about the fact that the problems have been worse since the repair was done, but in my defense it didnt happen right away. The knob for the settings however did not get put back correctly and does not spin freely like it used to, but I tried to overlook that since it would cost me a day of work to have the repair guy come back out to fix it. The unbalance code would occur only about 2 or 3 times a month in the past and we just thought it was overloaded or honestly unbalanced, but when we checked it the clothes were not shifted in a way that shouldve caused it to be out of balance in my opinion. In the last 2 months however the code goes off more often, to the point where its every other load it seems even on a small load. The drum is very violent and causes the machine to shake around a lot. And when you move the clothes around and push the start button again even if it says only 1minute is left, it will run for an hour if you dont stop it. We have had to just turn it off and put in the dryer. Thankfully it has not ripped apart as Ive seen in videos, but at this rate it seems its any day now. When I called LG about the on going issue, they said that a repairman could come look at it, but it would be at my expense since its out of warranty. Doesnt matter that it is the same problem from the recall nor did it matter only 9mo have passed since the recall repair was done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was given the same speech. I have been a huge LG fan for years after buying my first flat screen t.v. from them, but our family will never own another LG product after this and I will spread the word about LGs lack of concern involving a very expensive washing machine that last less than 3yrs. Id rather have my old Whirlpool washer with over sprayed paint to cover the rust at this point!

Ive purchased many LG appliances over the years and have had good experiences. Last year I purchased an LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST french door model. A month or so after the 1 year warranty expired, the handle on the crisper broke in my hand. After calling customer service and describing my issue, I was told to go buy the replacement and that was that. Last year I spent over $10K in LG products and getting that response totally blew my mind. I spoke with a customer service rep who was totally polite and helpful but couldnt resolve my problem. He referred me to Brenda, his Supervisor. Brenda was the most arrogant, useless individual I have ever encountered. She told me to write a letter to the complaint department. She was able to recite the address very quickly. That may give anyone a clue! Dont buy their products.

If only I had checked for reviews prior to my purchase. I moved to Georgia from California a little over a year ago and was so excited about getting a new washer/dryer. I went to Home Depot (its a small town, so the store selection is limited) and found what I thought was a really nice washer/dryer combo from LG. I couldnt have been more disappointed. The washer takes FOREVER - mostly because it continually rebalances the load - all to no avail. After multiple attempts the washer gives up and chimes to tell me to come and rebalance it. Now - Ive had washers before (all with agitators, which this one doesnt have) and one - sometimes two - rebalances corrects the problem... NOT with the LG - sometimes I have to rebalance 6 or 8 times in order for the load to complete the cycle. Then I have to repeat the process with the next spin. It doesnt just happen with odd weight loads or odd sized - its nearly everything. I HATE THIS WASHER. DONT BUY ONE!!!

I purchased a top loading LG Washer from Sears, and purchased the extended master plan warranty with it. Within 2 years it has already started rusting near the dispenser drawer. Sears would offer no help whatsoever, and said the rust is not covered. NEVER buying an LG, NEVER shopping at Sears ever again. I have been a long-standing customer and spend thousands on appliances with them in the last five years, including a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. They would do absolutely nothing to help me.

We recently purchased a new home and with it came an LG washer. After a service call to LG, followed by a maintenance call from a local repair company we are STILL completely dissatisfied with this washer. I have never in all my years of doing laundry (4 children) have ever had to sort clothes based on weight. Even with doing so, the load can take up to two hours to do. The spin cycle is awful and continues to repeat itself. It is quicker to dry a load of towels versus doing a load of wash with the LG. I have read many of the same complaints on this board. LG, you need to do something about this. I would never, ever recommend an LG product to anyone based on my experience with this one product. It is the absolute worst.

This washer is supposed to be water and electrically efficient. It is neither. It doesnt get the clothes clean, takes forever to run a load, not enough water but refills every time it is unbalanced (which is about 2 x/load). I have contacted LG. They just told me to check detergent and they were sorry I was unhappy. I went back to retail store. They contacted LG. A maintenance person was sent out but had to order a part. He has not returned because part has not come in after 3 weeks. I purchased this washer in June, 2014 and have disliked it ever since!

We purchased our LG refrigerator in December 2012. It was a bottom freezer unit with French doors in stainless steel. A 36 inch wide model that set us back just over $1200. It was a good looking appliance with nice features but not very durable. In November 2018, just weeks before Thanksgiving, the compressor failed. I got online and read numerous horror stories about dealing with LG to have the unit repaired. I was coming up with estimates of around $900 to repair. We found the quickest way to solve our problem was to write it off as a bad decision and get something else. When we were purchasing our new one, not affiliated with LG of course, the salesperson at the store said her LG only lasted two years. I guess we were fortunate to get almost six years before ours gave up the ghost. I have heard newer appliances are not as durable as older models. But something this costly should last for at least ten years if it is taken care of.

Bought an LG French door fridge for $2,500 18 months ago and first the ice maker stopped working at exactly a week past 12 months, so out of warranty. Paid extra just to have that ice maker, what a waste, so this morning we find ice cream melted and steaks thawed in the freezer. Oh great, the freezer is broke at 18 months. Call LG and they say they will pay for the parts to fix the freezer but we have to pay for labor, guess how much? They say starts at $500 and that is if it is what they think is the problem. I dont think so. I would rather take that money and buy a different brand that will last. Oh and I just bought an LG microwave last month, I figure this time next year I will be buy another microwave. Talk about disposable appliances. Did an internet search about LG products and it doesnt look good.

We have not been at all happy with the services which LG is giving us. We have bought an LG Side by Side refrigerator on 22.10.2011. Just a month after, the power capacitor has gone faulty and now there is nobody that can provide service to get this changed. I am sorry, if you cant serve the customer a month after, how can we expect in getting your services a year or after years? The scenario is this that I lodged a complaint against my fridge not working on Friday at10:40 am and your representative confirmed that the complaint will be attended in 24hrs as per their script. Then on Saturday, I called them around 12:30 pm mentioning that I didnt receive any call nor your service. So your representative confirmed that they are sending our request on urgent basis to the service center and we should hear from them in the next 2-3 hrs to which we received a call from your service guy and he came to attend the call. However, he confirmed that the capacitor is not working and this needs to be replaced. We mentioned when we can get this done, to which he confirmed in a days time since they are open on Sunday so he will try to get this fixed. We called him on Sunday. He mentioned this cannot be done today as he hasnt received the part from the company. We were not at all happy from the service and we asked as what is all this about and when it can be done and stuff to which he mentioned to talk to his senior and provided his number. We stated that the Seniors dont answer their phones at all. So we were correct on that, they never handled the complaint. Now when I phoned the service man as to check for the status, he mentioned please speak to the Manager as I am on leave today and I will not be able to help. What is the service? How do you expect your customer to sit quiet in this situation? We have been calling every time and not getting any service. I am sending this complaint in the editorial section of the newspaper against LG and I will ensure that we get the solution from the consumer court. I am from a service industry background and I am sorry to say this is not the work ethics you are following.

I bought this refrigerator in September, 2020. My wife and I noticed that the water and ice it dispensed tasted bad and metallic. The cooler and freezer worked very well but our friends confirmed the bad tasting water and ice. We never had this problem with our old GE refrigerator which lasted 22 years. Four visits by LG technicians failed to solve this problem. I wrote several letters both to LG and Home Depot. Finally, we were contacted by Home Depot who offered either a replacement or a refund. Having lost faith in LG products I elected to take the refund and have ordered a GE refrigerator.

We purchased our LG Electric Range November 2011. The oven was in need of cleaning, so I started the self-cleaning feature as I have done 2 or 3 times previously. The door locked and the cleaning began. When it was done, even after cooling off. The door is still locked shut and the whole control panel is blacked out, rendering the stove top useless as well. There is absolutely nothing working. We checked the breaker and all connections. Everything is in order. So we called our local repair company and they told us that they have had multiple calls about this same issue. My husband called LG and spoke with a couple of people there including a manager. The first person told us that the self-cleaning feature should be used every couple of months to keep it working properly. We told her that it doesnt say that anywhere in the manual. Basically they said, Sorry we cant help you. This is an engineering defect. And should be taken care of by LG. The lady from our repair company said that on some of the ranges, the cook top has cracked because of the heat. We are very disappointed in this company. And will never buy LG products again.

This is the absolute worst washing machine ever!!! It never gets through a cycle without numerous error messages. The place we bought it refused to take it back within a week of purchasing it. The LG repair man came and it was no better. It is supposed to be high efficiency. My problem with this machine, is that Ive never seen a wash machine take so long to wash a load of clothes! If I use the Speedwash feature, which is supposed to be a 35-minute cycle, it will take nearly two hours to wash the clothes. Loads that I know should take longer, like extended soak cycles, stain removal cycles, extra rinse or extended spin cycles, extend the wash cycles into hours and hours. Im dissatisfied with this purchase and I have seen so many complaints that I know I wont get the matter resolved to my satisfaction. I remember when this company went under the brand of GoldStar. I didnt like the look of their appliances back then and they were known as cheap. They must have found a company to re-market and re-brand them, with great looking outside features, but the same crappy inside components.

I would never buy an LG product again.

They keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger, to the point where I have to replace my beautiful expensive cabinets in order to accommodate the darn microwave. And from what Ive read on the internet, I am not the only one. It definitely looks like there is market for them that is NOT being fulfilled. Ive had the LG fridge for 7 years since new. After 2 years we had to have a technician come out as the fridge section froze all the food. He couldnt get the part for over a week so he unscrewed the back from the inside of the freezer and poured 5 boiled kettles worth of water down the vents. Where do I start. I have the top loading, no agitator, wave force. It uses too much electricity figuring out load weight. It doesnt clean the clothes well. The bleach dispenser has ruined many towels. If I interrupt a cycle to add an item (during that time the machine allows you), it screws up the machine on how much water to add so it fills the tank completely full. Contacting the company is a joke. The repairman tells me everythings normal (hes probably in a hurry to go to the next complaint of LG washers. The feature I have allows me to put my phone up to it so LG can hear the beeps and tones for a diagnose - DOESNT WORK (hence the repairman). I extended my warranty to three years. We purchased LG microwave oven that failed approximately 4 months into the warranty period. The warranty reads that “LG will, at it’s option, will repair or replace the Product“. LG’s policy apparently is not to do either of these things for countertop microwaves. They refused to repair or replace the unit, but suggested that we purchase another unit. They did in fact refund the original price of the unit, but now the unit could only be purchased for $30.00 more. As the request of a customer service agent we submitted the new receipt indicating that a price adjustment would be given. Long story short, not only did we have to do the leg work and go out and find another unit, we have had to absorb the difference in the price. DO NOT BELIEVE THE WARRANTY! Had we known that we couldn’t trust the warranty and the customer service agent, we would have chosen another brand of microwave. Although we have purchased other LG appliances (TVs, dishwashers etc) we will not make that mistake again!

WM2050 CW - After reading all the concerns and complaints from other customers, I must say that I have very similar problems with this machine. First, the smell of clothes and the permanent stench that this washer has is nauseating. Second, the machine started leaking from the bottom about a month ago. We thought it was the bottom filter that needed cleaning so my wife and I cleaned it periodically thereafter. That did not stop the leak. Today we pulled machine out of wash room to outside wood deck and propped it up on wood rafters so that I could get under it and examine origin of leak. It appears to be the door boot seal, which I intend to replace myself after I order it from Amazon ($70). I will update this review as I install and use machine with new part. Just like other reviewers, though, I would not buy another LG washer or dryer, not will I buy a front-loading machine.

We bought our LG french door refrigerator from Best Buy fall of 2016 to be installed in our new home in 2017 spring. Almost 1 year to the date of moving into the house we had our first complete meltdown. All of the food was defrosted and water was all over the floor. We called LG and a technician was sent out days later. They replaced the compressor and it worked for a few months. Then it happened again. We called the same technician and they fixed it again. Now its noisy and worked until about a year after the first fix. Then it defrosted. Again same situation. This time it was 9 days before the technician arrived.By then it had spontaneously started working again so she refused to do anything. We paid over $100 for this. Now 1 month later its done again. We were told this is how its designed to work and there is nothing they can do. If this is true no one should ever buy LG. They design to cost you hundreds of dollars and dont back up their appliances. Cant wait to see how long it takes to get a technician and what they will do or not do this time. Each time we seem to have to pay more money plus we never seem to qualify for the supposed $200 in food recompense.

Man I wish we would have paid for new racks for our old KitchenAid. My blood pressure rises every time, every time I load up this crappy LG dishwasher. The tines are badly located, what is with the big area on the lower rack that had no tines? Because of the rack/tine design, we get about 20% less dishes in this thing. Then it runs forever but that is part of all new dishwashers. I like how sites say to run the water first so the water is hot. Yep KitchenAid heated the water much better. It had a heating element on the bottom that dried the dishes. KitchenAid had a filter on the bottom that was easily removable. The spray arms on the LG are so flimsy. I wonder if they will last 2 years. Errr!!!

This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Wee
This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, we were rushed to replace it --- and have regretted that ever since. We purchased an LG French door fridge at a major retailer, with just the one day to do research (because, our old one had died and wed already lost a couple hundred dollars in perishable food and had kids to feed). The linear compressor promised to be quiet, efficient, and durable - the literature boasts that an officially proven 20-year-durable lifespan realizes your peace-of-mind.At first, it was great - because it was new. Just ten months in, however, we began having problems as the fridge developed a clicking sound when the fan (compressor?) kicked on, and then a couple weeks later got an error code on the panel and the fridge stopped cooling. We lost another fridge full of groceries, and called LG for repair. It was well under warranty, being just one year old.The technician they dispatched called us before showing up, and told us this is a common problem - and that we have to defrost our frost-less new fridge when we hear that clicking because it means ice is building up inside on the fan. OK... So we did that, and the fridge began working again (this is in May/June 2016). Then, like clockwork yearly, we would hear the clicking and do the overnight defrost (2017, and 2018).So again it began clicking again in early July 2019, and we got ready to do the same thing - except instead, the fridge just quit working entirely on July 9th 2019 while we were at work and we came home to a flooded kitchen (from the melted ice) and once again, had to toss a fridge full of perishable foods (second time with this fridge). We unplugged it and left it overnight to defrost, as before, and plugged it back in on the 10th (empty). Left it for the day while at work, and when we came home the inside of the fridge was over 70*, clearly not cooling, but no errors on the panel, so I called LG for service on July 11th. This begins the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any manufacturer.July 11th: talked to condescending service rep who eventually agreed that we needed a service call. Scheduled it for July 16th (earliest available), and gave me a confirmation number which I read back. I arranged to take a half-day off work to be home for the 8-12 hour window. He says that luckily Im still within the 5-year warranty; I tell him my paperwork says it is 7 years warranty. He updates my account... Then assures me that the parts are covered under the warranty and I will only have to pay the labor for the service call.July 16th: at 11am, I called LG to check the ETA of the tech so I could update my office on when I would be in. Was told that my tech had just finished a call in a town 15 minutes from me, and that I was next on his list. At 12:15 still no tech, so I called back --- and was told that my service was completed. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone to learn that the confirmation number I was given was for someone else, and that I had no service call scheduled after all. I was quite angry, as Id stayed home for this and had been without a fridge for a week already. The person I spoke to said she was in the escalation department and she promised to call me within an hour with a resolution to get my fridge fixed, that her supervisors assured her it would be done that day.At 1:40 I called back (because, surprise - no call from LG and no tech) even angrier because I was no closer to a working fridge AND now Id lost a full day of work without pay. Im not allowed to talk to the same person I spoke to at 12:15, because she is helping other customers... Am told there is no way they can fix my fridge today but they will dispatch my call to an authorized service repair center, who would schedule a new service date. An hour later I get a call from said service repair center ---- who informed me that they dont service my area because they are in a different STATE. Yep, that last LG rep sent to the wrong repair center. So I call LG again (4th time this day), and this time Im told that I have to wait for the system to call me to schedule something, but that would be either today or tomorrow. Its 3:30 at this point. The rep cant help any further. Next day, by 4pm, still no call so I phone LG again. This rep tells me it can take 3-5 days for the system to call me to schedule something.... Each time I call, Im given a different scenario, none of which are getting my fridge fixed. The next day (July 18th), I get an email cancelling my appointment - which I havent been able to make so I dont know what this is for. July 19th: I call again because still nothing and its been ten days since my fridge broke. This rep is able to schedule a service call (what happened to the system??), and we set it for July 24th, next available day.July 23rd: given the absurd hassle Ive had to deal with to get this fridge fixed, I call in to confirm my appointment for the next day because I cant lose yet another day from work and have no tech show up. Am told parts were ordered on the 19th (which parts? the ones that always break, that fancy compressor that is supposed to be so great and durable but only lasted four years). This time the rep tells me that they have extended a courtesy warranty to cover the labor in addition to the parts, and that they received a couple of complaints. I have talked to 8 different LG customer service reps by this time, expressing many complaints from me on this whole fiasco, especially against that first rep who didnt bother to schedule a tech at all and cost me a days wages. The rep also said a grocery reimbursement would be sent in a couple of weeks for the inconvenience. This is the first Ive heard about this option.July 24th: my fridge is finally fixed, with a new compressor. The tech did not charge us for the visit, so at least that part LG honored. Fifteen days to get the fridge fixed, replacing a part that was the big selling point, four years and two months after we bought it. We lost tons of perishable food from the fridge and freezer (it holds a lot!), and two full days of work without pay. For two weeks weve had to eat out/eat convenience food because a picnic cooler just doesnt work that well to hold perishable foods that long, and its the middle of summer; it is an expensive way to eat! Now we wait for whatever grocery reimbursement they deem sufficient to compensate us, and count the days until the fridge breaks again, hoping it is still under warranty when it does. I dont trust this fridge at all. But we paid $3k for it, and cant afford to replace it yet. The environmental impact of manufacturers building appliances that fail after just a few years has got to be enormous and I wish there were lemon law type of things we consumers could count on for better durability.

Purchased a new LG top loading washing machine from Home Depot Dec. 2011. The coating on the top of the machine at the bleach dispenser has disintegrated resulting in the metal rusting and flaking off. Occasionally, clothes are coming out with rust stain. I have contacted LG and have gotten no satisfaction from them. I was told the machine is out of warranty and that this is a cosmetic issue and there is nothing LG can do. Home Depots extended warranty also does not cover this problem. Apparently we purchased a washing machine that was not designed to operate and dispense bleach as one of its functions. This is an example of poor design and quality that a major company is not willing to recognize and offer the consumer assistance in correcting. We can get some comfort in the 10 year warranty on drive motor even though the machine wont last that long. Needless to say we will not purchase another LG product.

We purchased our $3,000 fridge at Sears in 2016 before they went out of business. While it is a Kenmore sold by Sears, it is actually a fridge built by LG for Sears. So the fridge is basically 4 years old and the freezer has stopped working. With Sears bankruptcy, I have no warranty. I understand that, but LG is unable to provide a qualified service agent that is still in business. All service agents I have called have indicated that LG is proprietary and I need a LG technician. Totally unacceptable. Besides the service issue, breakdown so quickly is a problem. If you are buying new, I would recommend sticking with manufacturers that specialize in kitchen appliances, not TVs and computers. I wont make that mistake again.

In 2006, my husband and I purchased all new LG appliances from Home Depot and paid for the 4-year extended warranty. We have the WM2077CW washing machine, LFX25960ST French Door Refrigerator, DLG3788W Dryer, LDF6810ST Dishwasher and LRG30355ST Gas Range. We have had problems with every single appliance, have had the extended warranty repairs done on each one, and continue to have problems. The latest is the washer has stopped draining and the drain pump motor is broken. Our warranty expired on 14 Apr 11 and both Home Depot and LG will do nothing. The refrigerator is now leaking water all over our kitchen floor, and the knobs on the gas stove are cracked again--they have been replaced twice already! Please do not purchase anything from LG! I know we should have been worried when the washer broke the first week we got it home, the dishwasher leaked and the refrigerator water dispenser has never worked properly, even after multiple service calls. Even the extended warranty hasnt saved us from having to replace parts that arent covered. I wish we never bought LG, and Home Depot hasnt stood behind them.

I remodeled my kitchen in 2011 and installed a LG gas range (model LRG3093ST). My range is right at 2 years old. For the last 6 months, the knobs have been splitting and spinning on the posts so that they do not turn the gas totally off. At first I smelled gas and could not figure out what was wrong until one split and lost a chunk of plastic to the point that turning it did not turn the flame off at all. I wrapped wire tightly around the posts to limp along, but now all are broken to the point none will turn on or off the gas. When I contacted LG, I was told they were out of warranty and I would be responsible for the purchase of the knobs. I told MCM Electronics, which they referred me to, that I would buy more knobs if they are better quality - not plastic. However, they are only authorized to sell original (defective) parts and they referred me to contact LG directly. After reading these reviews, how does LG get away with continuing to provide defective parts of any kind that are dangerous? If this were a car, the units would be recalled or new replacement parts would have to be upgraded. Leaking gas and fires can kill as well as car accidents. I will certainly do better research before purchasing any appliance again in the future - I am sure it will not be LG.

Wash machine about a year old died. Most of the time the machine washed clothes for a single man with a white-collar job. So very little clothing once every couple weeks and certainly not soiled at all. Service took 3 weeks to show up and then told the machine is junk by LGs own serviceman and then told part to fix it is discontinued! On a 1-year-old machine? Then constant runaround from LG about a proof of purchase (which I do not have). The machine was purchased at Best Buy with a Best Buy gift card so no credit card or check or other means of proof. Best Buy says they cannot trace gift card purchases. The machine has a 10-year warranty and I only know this because LG told me I registered the machine with the serial number on October 10, 2017. THEY KNOW the machine was purchased and registered for the warranty! I didnt steal it! You cannot walk out of Best Buy with clothes washing machine hidden in your pants pocket! So they know when it was purchased and where it was purchased from. They (LG) have a record of all serial numbers and where they are delivered. Now they refuse to honor the warranty.

Contacted LGs customer service after major issues with the refrigerator one year and three weeks old. We were transferred to multiple customer service agents. Placed on hold at one point 2 1/2 hours. Funny thing is the message that plays when youre on hold how our time is so valuable to them. Each time you get a customer service representative you have to start from the beginning, Even though supposedly every phone call is documented.Of course, any reasonable person would escalate in their frustration with each one of these phone calls that were made. Not to mention the multiple times we were being transferred and hung up on and had to call back. Absolutely nothing is done until I had to raise my voice and demand to speak to someone that can get something done. When I finally got a corporate supervisor on the phone it took him less than 20 minutes to schedule an appointment and extend the warranty to have the refrigerator serviced. Any reasonable company that stand by their product would have done this from the beginning. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell everyone I know to think twice before they make a purchase.

Purchased May 2016. As others mention here, started failing a few months ago by not making ice. Now not cooling as expected. LG CS asked for a service call $110 to tell me the compressor is bad and that I am out of warranty. They told me the compressor is warranted but I would have to pay ~$500 for installation. After they forced “The Hulk” out of me, they asked me to upload my invoice and they were going to request full warranty coverage. A week and multiple calls later, no resolution. I paid little over $3k for this fridge, expecting at least 10 years out of it. Please avoid this company...

The inside stainless steel looks like 7 years old. I have not cleaned my dishes before putting them in a dishwasher since 1992. I cannot believe the electricity/water it uses and how your product - even after rinsing - cannot clean. I feel I need to put an extra rinse to help get the grime off. I have reduced my soap by half and the dishes still feel gritty. There must be something wrong with this. What can/should I do to have a rep come out to see what the problem is?

All the food In the bottom freezer dethawed and no ice is disowning from the door. I have called LG numerous times and had their tech out three times. He said it was the compressor and ordered the part, came back five days later installed another part (apparently just because the part came in what appeared to be a new box did not mean it was a new part). It still doesnt work. Meanwhile we’ve been living out of coolers and LG gives excuse after excuse when I ask to speak to a supervisor. Had I known about the class action suits that have been brought against this company I would not have bought this piece of junk. Its out of warranty with LG, but still has extended warranty with Best Buy.Best Buy has been here already 4 times and put 2 parts in. Now theyre playing with the refrigerator temp on the door, trying to adjust the temperature and testing my milk with this temp gauge. For the past 40+ years, we have purchased all but 2 of all major appliances
For the past 40+ years, we have purchased all but 2 of all major appliances from Sears. The single-door Kenmore fridge with freezer on bottom was working well, but no ice and water in door. So, after using it for 5 years, we decided to purchase a new fridge with the missing extras. Sears had a great sale going in Oct. 2007, but single-doors werent available anymore. The LG LFX25950W was very attractive. Within 11 months, the icemaker needed replacing under warranty. It has since died again and were still using the icemaker in the old Kenmore. In 2010, I discovered that there was a recall on the energy star rating that had been posted 4 months after my purchase. I filled out the application on the LG website. Six months went by and a nagging voice in my head reminded me that I hadnt heard anything. I went back online and filled out the application again. This time I was acknowledged and was soon contacted by Allen & Sons. The fix was to replace the motherboard. LG was to send a check to make up for the additional cost of operation for the time we had owned the fridge, plus an annual check for the operation costs. The motherboard was fixed within 2 weeks and the annual check amounts to $3.95. I havent had the nightmare problems of other models, but this one is nowhere close to being of the quality I expected. From the beginning of the recall work, the panel has displayed error code Er IF, which indicated a problem with the freezer fan. When the motherboard was first replaced, the error code went away. When it came back, they came back and the serviceman called LC engineering and it was decided that another motherboard was needed. The funny thing is that if the fridge is unplugged and then plugged back in, the display panel works fine for about 30 seconds and then the error code returns. Luckily, the temps, drawers and lights are all fine, but we have to pay labor for the repairs, so far only $135. If youre in southern California, call Allen & Sons in Canoga Park. They are efficient and travel.

I will start by saying that I currently own and have owned many LG products
I will start by saying that I currently own and have owned many LG products over the years and have been well pleased. I researched appliances for sometime before deciding to purchase LG. I purchased a LG gas double oven slide in range, space saver microwave and dishwasher September 2018. Range had to be ordered and was not installed until October 2018. In less than 2 months the range required a major repair in which multiple parts including the mainboard was replaced. After several attempts from service repairman it was finally repaired January 23, 2019. Issue was determined that there was a direct short. Fan did not work because both the mainboard and relay board were blown so fan did not work to control flames. Oven shuts down and cannot be used.November 24th, 2019 the same issue occurred again. I had to make several calls to customer service and demand to talk to a supervisor to even a get a service call scheduled. (Let me disclose that this appliance is now just out of the 1 year warranty.) I have requested that LG replace this $2700 range with a brand new one due to its significant electrical and safety issues. An executive that only provided a first name and support email contact emailed me to apologize for my inconvenience and offered for me to contact him with any questions or concerns. I have emailed him twice with no response. I am beyond disappointed and the lack of concern from LG is unacceptable. I have asked for contact information for an LG representative that can actually do something to help from both the executive and customer support with no response. I have huge concerns since this will be the 3rd mainboard installed in less than a year.

Within a few months the knobs start melting, after LG repairman visited a few times and attempted to repair the stove to no avail. I got the run around after contacting Home Depot where I purchased the items, the manager got involved and the range was replaced. The problem continued with the second range. I did get a couple set and then LG stated they would send one more set, now that that set has melted I just cant afford the high cost of another set of control knobs. This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number label and paperwork stating that we would not hold LG responsible for a hush money settlement of $264.00. The offer had expired while we were pursuing our legal options, so we called and talked to a gal named Courtney who said, “No problem. Send in the paperwork and we will honor the cash hush payment originally offered.” We received a phone call today from a person named Sunyung who originally had made the offer. She informed us that now the offer had gone down to $194.00, because Courtney had no authority to authorize a hush payout. Then, she proceeded to complain and tell me that communication between the people in customer service wasnt what it should be. I told her that sounded like an internal problem and I was not being paid to listen to her and try to figure out how the communication could be rectified within her department! I asked to speak to her superior, and she gave me to Michael. Michael told me that yes, the part was warrantied, but I got one of the small percentage of refrigerators that were unfixable, basically the lemon model, and thats just how the ball bounces. They still would not honor the warranty and told me since the fridge was now a month older, it was worth $70.00 less! This thing hasnt worked for 9 months! I think I will just wait for the class action suit that I am sure will be coming up in the next few years when a lawyer gets a hold of this and wants to make some easy money. I dont care if I get only an 18 cents payout. It is now the principle of the situation. I did tell Michael he could be president with all his doublespeak and asked him why they want to beat their customers up so badly. First, they lie about their warranties; then, they offer you hush money; then, they renege on that. No ethics with these people. Obviously, they have no faith in God because this is just not how you treat people. Life sometimes just isnt fair. This is one of those times.

This refrigerator has stop cooling and making ice 3 times this yr, between April and November. I called the warranty company and they throw the ball to LG, LG keep sending this A&E Factory service to work on this refrigerator and for the second time in this month they supposedly fixed and leave saying that it would take 24 hrs for the fridge to cool again, 24 hrs passed and The fridge still not working.LG customer service keep say that they can’t replace the unit until the technician writes in his report that the unit is unrepairable. Meanwhile they have the customer without a fridge for almost a month. Christmas is around the corner and this is becoming a nightmare. All I keep hearing from the technician is that this is happening a lot with LG Appliances and LG stead of replacing or reimburse the money prefers to keep expending money paying to service companies.

I am very disappointed with LG product. I have had a broken refrigerator since December 25, 2018. The first time a technician from LG had come to fix it was December 30th. The technician has been coming back every week since then and it is still not fixed. Its only been 17 months since Ive purchased this refrigerator and it has not been working properly for more than two months. I bought it on July 4, 2017. The first repair was on 10/30/17, the second on 03/23/18, and the third on 05/15/18. Now I dont have working refrigerator again. I need someone to take action or I am going to take legal measures. This seems like an issue not just I but many other customers have had and the issue is still not being resolved. Not only is this a time consuming process but also a financial loss. Since not having a fridge for over a month, we havent been able to buy store food and only take out. This not only takes even more money out of my pocket but requires me to take time off work because of all the appointments. Not only is the fridge not working but the last time a technician came on January 25, 2019 he scratched the fridge and left a black burn mark. I am so frustrated and disappointed with not only a product but the services. I would really just like my money back so that I can buy a new, scratch free, and working fridge. I have attached the pictures of the damage.

I bought an LG refrigerator 5yrs ago. I have had problems with the freezer area freezing up and causing problems then I started having other problems, the compressor went bad and it was under warranty for 10 yrs. I called LG and they wanted to just push me off and give me a bunch of BS. They gave me a number of one of their certified companies to come work on it, so I do just that. The company comes out and I had to pay for the service call, then they told me that I had to pay for the part, which is 800.00 and then I had to get LG to refund me. Then I called LG and they said, No, that the company had to get it. The company that LG sent out to my house refused to buy the piece, stating that LG does not want to refund them the product. I should not have to deal with this. I finally got that issue taken care of and not something else is wrong with the refrigerator. I am done, getting rid of it, and I will NEVER have another LG product. EVER.

This is the worst company and worst products I have ever seen! My new LG dishwasher that was bought in 2013 died in 2015 and needed to be completely replaced! The refrigerator that I bought in 2013 died at the end of 2016 and has not been able to be repaired and LG wants to charge tons of money to replace the compressor which is what failed after 6 weeks and 4 visits by repair companies came to try and fix it! It has a 10 year warranty but when I called its on parts only! They want to charge for parts even though they say its covered! Dont buy LG!! They have the worst products and service I have ever seen!

Lg seems to have better products than most companies. They look better and have better functionality and for the price they cant be beat. Weve had our LG fridge for 8 years and not 1 problem. We had to special order the size and we couldnt have made a better pick. Its sleek and has plenty of room despite being smaller than the standard fridge. I like the bottom freezer, it has a drawer so it really maximizes the space in the freezer. If I had to change anything it would be on the outside. Because it is a smooth shiny black, fingerprints show badly on it as well as any dirt or food so I constantly have to wipe it down which isnt a dealbreaker for me because Im OCD anyway.

LG WM3670HWA - Bought a new washer ($650) and installed in May 2017. Recently experienced squeaking noises during the spin cycle. Called LG. They sent out a technician to look at the machine. LG charged me $125 for the service call. The tech said that the rear bearing was defective. The cost to fix was estimated to be $500. However, the technician told me that LG discontinued the parts needed to fix the washer, so he couldnt fix it even if he wanted to. So I spent $650 on a washer and another $125 on a service call, to find out that a 14 month old washer is junk and cannot be repaired.I called LG to try and resolve the issue. They refused to do anything AT ALL. I wasnt asking for a new washer or anything like that. I requested that they at least waive the $125 service call, since the washer couldnt be fixed. They refused to waive the service fee and gave me no concession on anything. It was really great at the end of the call to hear, Have a wonderful day! Seriously!!?? I never write reviews, but had to vent on this one. My bad for not buying an extended warranty, but theyre bad for not even stocking parts to fix their lousy products. I will never buy an LG product again. I feel completely ripped off.

Our LG microwave is a low performer compared to our last. It took much longer to heat foods through. The buzzer letting us know it was done was very quiet, but the microwave itself was very loud and annoying (rumbling, rattling and humming). The biggest set back is the touch panel, it is impossible to see the settings since there is no backlight. Unit seems to get very hot as well.

We purchased an LG Bottom Drawer Freezer (Model #LFX21976ST/05) 2 1/2 years ago. Recently water was dripping from the door. The ice in the ice machine was melting, and the food in the freezer was half frozen! LG customer service was helpful trying to determine the problem, walking me through trouble shooting what the problem could be only to let me know I would be charged $210.00 for a service call. I looked online and found out this is a common complaint and that even after service the same thing occurs after some time... I am disgusted that LG isnt honoring their customers by doing the right thing and repairing these defective refrigerators free of charge. VERY sad considering we love other LG products.

I recently purchased all new LG appliances in the new black stainless. Love the door in door fridge, enjoy the stove/oven and microwave, but the dishwasher is impossible. The rack design for glasses will not hold any size glass. Glasses continually fall and turn over during cleaning. Often the very top new utensil basket gets caught on the glasses and the racks will not close without being pushed aggressively. The bottom rack has collapsible sections that fall down without force and plates become scattered and stuck together during the clean cycle. The overall cleaning, look and quietness of the dishwasher is good. BUT you will become easily frustrated with the basket configuration. Wish I could return this impossible appliance!!!

This is meant to be in reply to Stella, who HO-DEPOT seems to have turned its back on. I urge you to call your states consumer affairs office, your local TV News Consumer Guy, and most especially, YOUR BANK/CREDIT CARD COMPANY!! Your CC should go to bat for you, and will likely do a charge-back if you think the Lemon Law applies to you, which I agree it does. Theres a thing, a consumer law created for just this kind of situation, that you have the right to expect a product will perform as expected. Yours hasnt, and the store clearly is making sport out of giving you the runaround. I dont care how long it has been, you are owed satisfaction for getting a non-working fridge. Please call your Credit Card Company. Free hint: If your end of the conversation has the word Fraud in it (This feels a lot like Fraud; they took my money and I got nothing in return). Youre not ACCUSING anyone of Fraud, just saying how it makes you feel, get it? They seem real happy if that word in particular enters the conversation. It has happened to me, and it was clear that it needed to be spoken by the person complaining. The truth is, imho, you were defrauded. You deserve a full refund, so you can take your money elsewhere. And dont forget if you purchased any extended warranty, you should get that refunded, too. Just my 2. I am not a lawyer, a consumer advocate or anything. Dont work for the competition, Just want you to get your due. Please dont give up before you get a full refund. I purchased this LG Top Load washing machine 2 years ago from Best Buy Monterey County Calif. Marina location. It cost around $1,500. Since owning it I have had nothing but major problems. Constant repairs. Every component has been replaced. Today July 3rd, 2016 the machine gave me ERR codes and stopped working. Also the garage smells like burning rubber and the spinning was slow and the machine was struggling. Tuesday the 5th Best Buy is scheduled once again to repair this machine. This will be the 6th repair. What makes me mad is that I had a Samsung Front Loader that was like new that I gave to the delivery man from Best Buy. Now I have a hunk of metal junk. Would never recommend anything from LG.

LG Washer WT5070CW - I have had this washer since 12/12/12. It is not worth the money. This is my third washing machine in my married life of 35+ years. I gave my son my last one when I bought this piece of junk. All the others lasted 10+ years. Always Unbalance Error. I babysit this machine constantly waiting for it to UE over and over again. The repair man for my appliances wont even look at a LG. Should have called him before my purchase. I called LG today and really received no solution other than emailing them all my information on the purchase. Considering buying another washer (NOT LG). Dont even want to give to anyone because it is junk. Will just have them haul it away.

I purchased the LG Dishwasher and it is so pretty. I first ran the dishwasher just after installed and of course everything was wet for a couple of days. I dried the dishes and left the door and top (3rd) tray open as it seemed to hang on to the water. Then I remember the Rinse Aid so filled it up and ran again. Again everything was wet but not as bad. Then I decided to read some of the reviews (I had read them before but on Google reviews). Now I am wondering if my life will consist of drying dishes. That is a job I hate which is why I have the dishwasher. I have been on LGs site and did not find much help. BTW I also purchased a stove with no serial number easily accessible. Not my month.

So disappointed in this product and customer service! My husband and I built a house in 2017. Bought all of our appliances range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator all in a bundle from Lowe’s in Bedford, IN. So elated about having a new house with all new appliances! My elation quickly turned in to total frustration! Only after 14 months of use the compressor went out. Let me repeat that AFTER 14 MONTHS! After several phone calls to the store, the customer info center the Lowe’s Extended Protection number. No one I spoke with could give us the same answers to any of our questions. It took weeks to get a service rep to even look at it and when he finally arrives and determined the compressor was bad he had no replacement with him. Had to be ordered which took awhile to arrive, a few more weeks before they could come back to install the new one. Only after cancelling and having to reschedule that appointment in which I had to miss work to be available to let him in to service the refrigerator. A loaner was offered at one point in time but I was told that could take a week to deliver not knowing that the replacement part would not be available on the first visit I declined. Was also told by one representative that we could just replace the refrigerator then only to be told by another that was not the case. I wrote down all the names of every one I spoke with and even had each one send me our dictated conversation in e-mail. They would not stand by their word. Never could I get a manager on the phone. Was always told that Customer Service does not have one. Most call centers operate off of a 3 tier system so I found it hard to believe that one. It took a total of 12 weeks to have the issue fixed Missed days at work, food loss, all the phone calls and time spent talking on the phone and getting no real answers. Was told at one point we could use a local repair man and the Extended Protection Plan that we purchased would cover the cost only to be told by someone else that it would NOT and if we chose that route it would void the EPP all together. Could had it fixed in 2 days as opposed to 12 weeks. The whole reason I am writing this review today is because after going through all of this our freezer isn’t defrosting correctly and therefore the ice maker isn’t working, the food in the freezer is barely frozen. The temp is set on minus 4 but the thermometer has placed on the inside barely reads 32 degrees. Here we go again!!!! So disheartening to spend so much money that you work so hard for on a product and to be so disappointed by it and the customer service that you have to deal with. Our LG fridge is about 5 years old and it has died. I can understand that things can go wrong but the customer service at LG is terrible. They are extremely rude! We have had to take two days off work and it still isnt fixed. We were told the freon leaked out and the company had to address this problem. We spoke to several people at customer service and they were nasty. We have been without a fridge for two weeks and there is no end in sight. We are starting from scratch and have to be home between 10-2 tomorrow for a second service person to come out. They arent going to fix it! Just look at it! So we will likely have to take a third day off work if we are lucky enough to get anyone out to actually fix it. My husband was just recently diagnosed with cancer. The tumor is causing lots of pain. Ice packs help a bit but of course we have no way to keep them cold. This has been a real hardship! I would never buy another LG product. They have no respect for their customers and do not stand behind their products.

We had purchased both the washer and dryer at the same time from Lowes while building our home. I documented all of the steps we had taken and responses from LG on our repair. Went back to Lowes (where purchased from) and asked to talk to the manager. After showing him the paperwork and relating my experience he allowed me to exchange the both machines. The appliance manager worked with me and I picked out a Whirlpool Duet W&D. They scheduled a date to pick up the LG units and deliver the new Whirlpool units. I couldnt be happier with the Whirlpools, and received the difference in the cost back. I did initially call Lowes headquarters to ask if they would exchange my machines and was told that it was up to the manager at the store I purchased them from. I was very calm and respectful and had all of the paperwork to show the manager. They were really great. I will never by LG again.

I bought an LG refrigerator with French door and bottom freezer in Aug 2010. I noticed it started to make noise when the ice maker was filling with water. I called Sears for service because it was still under warranty, and that was where I bought it. They gave me an appointment eight days later. At that point, it was still working; I thought, “No big deal.” Then the refrigerator part quit being cold; so, I called back for a sooner appointment. Two days later, the repairman came, and said I needed a new electronic board. He said he would place the order, and the part would be dropped shipped to my home. When it arrives, Im supposed to call them. This is to schedule for them to put it in, and the first available date is in eight days! Who can go without a refrigerator for eight days? They said the warranty didnt cover the food loss. So, Im out a couple hundred dollars, and I am stuck with this lousy refrigerator that I cant stand.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator and has had numerous problems with the product. LG trained technicians has visited my house at least twenty visits. I have lost food products countless number of times, lost time off and wages from work and I still have a product that has cost me $27,000 worth of frustrations and disappointments. No one has offered me a replacements, food lost or lost wages nor have anyone ever returned a single phone call. The customer service is simply terrible, the person on the other end of the phone talks to you with little or no respect. I had to tell a gentlemen on the other end, Dont talk to me in that tone of voice. They even told me I had to write a letter to the higher management to further complain for, which made no sense to me when they have my record of complaints in front of them. The refrigerator has had 3 compressors replacements, an ice maker, the entire Freon system w 5 lbs of Freon, the motherboard and God know what else. I can go on and on about my experience with this product but I dont know if it would benefit anyone or even if it will get posted. I can say I wont stop until someone has heard me. They warranty the motor of my LG front load washer for 10 years, and my washer is 3 years and 2 months old; however getting them to come out and to process for the eventual replacement has so far taken 3 weeks. They are moving to replace because it wasnt 4 other things they replaced. They tell me since the part which was on back order for 3 weeks and suddenly arrived without warning, DURING the time period they were reviewing for my replacement which is 3-5 business days, that I have to start all over with another 3-5 business days to review for replacement YET AGAIN. Ive been 4 weeks without a washer. The customer service reps sound like robots reading from a script. They dont even sound human. This part that suddenly arrived without warning during this period when I thought I was receiving news that I could go pick up my new washer? Well, nobody even told me it was coming. The repairman, Ron, didnt even bother to tell me it had arrived at his house yesterday. He had this part and couldnt come out to my centrally located home for another week! Well, he came today and the machine still isnt working. So here I am on hold with robots, waiting for a supervisor to see if I can somehow bypass this mandatory review process which she told me wont be authorized till next Monday. That is 7 more days from today. Their service truly sucks. Nobody seems to care.

Let’s see. So my French door fridge (model # LFC25770SB) is only 2 years old. Weve had it since May 2010. It was bought brand new from Home Depot for our new home. It has worked fine until 11/14/2012. I came home from work and the entire bottom cavity (freezer) was thawed out and everything completely ruined (my Thanksgiving meal, since we went shopping a few days prior)! The freezer isn’t keeping anything cold, so therefore neither is the fridge! The fridge was 47 degrees when I got home! I called LG on their emergency line the night it happened and was told that the food that I lost would be covered in part. Not the case! They refused to cover anything. I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a new part, which I have to pay out of pocket for, and the labor that is included in fixing this part! Needless to say, a 2-year-old fridge was obviously a piece of **! I lost over $500 in groceries, not to mention the insulin that I had in the fridge because I’m a diabetic! LG lost this customer! And I doubt they will care to do anything! All they say is they are sorry! Must not really be sorry, because I should have gotten a reimbursement for some of the product lost because of their ** appliance that broke after, seriously, only 2 years! Do something LG!

DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHING MACHINE!! Upon installation, our brand new top of the line front loading washing machine, LG Model # WM3470HWA, exhibited extreme water hammer noise, which resonated through our entire 2,700 sq ft home, immediately after the sensing cycle and during the filling cycle. LG Phone Tech Support recommended that our plumbing contractor (a master plumber), install water hammer arrestors (3 sets were eventually installed, in between visits from the LG 3rd party and Factory Rep). We also reduced the water pressure, even though the existing pressure setting was well within LG tolerances. he third party service rep, during a call w/ Tech Support at LG was told that the water hammer noise is intrinsic to the machines operation. In the end, after going to the very highest level of Customer Support at LG, they refused to address the problem, or stand behind the product in any way. The result... we are stuck with a inferior, defective washing machine. If you go to other blogs, you will see that this problem is quite common with LG washing machines.

We bought our LG fridge (model # LBC22520SW /03) new back in 2011 (it was on back-order at the time, because apparently many others were duped into purchasing this piece of junk). It is now one year old. I never knew an appliance could simultaneously be so cheap and yet so expensive. The first time I had to call the repairman was three months after the purchase (he didnt even call me back until two days later; by that time, I had fixed the stupid thing myself). The problem, ironically, is that the freezer fan cannot operate under cold conditions. We cant use our ice maker or it will make the fan freeze over, which in turn makes the freezer and fridge stop working. But it doesnt stop there! If we fill our freezer 1/4 full with food, it makes the freezer too cold and the fan will freeze over, and again the fridge stops working. But wait, theres more ... Weve now lowered the freezer temperature to its lowest setting, but apparently thats still too cold for this cheap fan to handle. Thawing the fan with boiling water has now become an activity that we must do twice daily. Weve lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention the overpriced cost of the fridge to begin with. Do yourself a favor and dont buy an LG fridge!

I actually LOVE my LG Tromm Washer and Dryer and have had very good luck with the company. Im responding because Ive seen numerous complaints about clothes and towels smelly moldy. I too had this problem with bath towels. Its not the fault of the washer, but rather it is using too much detergent and/or not using HE detergent.Heres what you need to do to get rid of the smell, but it will require two cycles: 1) Wash items with 1 cup of vinegar and no detergent. Add vinegar directly to load not the dispenser; and 2) Wash items again using 1 cup of baking soda and no detergent adding it to the load not dispenser. Wash items on the hottest setting possible. The moldy smell should be gone. From here on out ensure that youre using HE detergent and use the absolute bare minimum as HE detergent is highly concentrated. Any residue left on clothing or towels will act as a binding agent, hence the moldy smells. Good luck!

I purchased this black refrigerator in Aug 2012 from Home Depot, Nashua NH. I noticed (especially the last year or so) that on the outside door, under the control panel/water & ice dispenser, that there was leakage of what seemed to be rust-colored liquid (?water). This has corroded the surface under the control panel & dispenser. I wrote to LG twice, knowing it was no longer under warranty, asking what I could do to repair this or what seemed to be causing this. The response from LG is below:As much as I want to help you regarding this issue, I wont be able to. Manufacturers warranty is designed to take good care of any failures in the early life of the unit. Aside from the one year warranty, there are also parts thats covered for 7-10 years like the Sealed System. After this will be expired, you would be responsible for any repair or replacement part for the unit that is not cover under warranty. If the unit was purchased 2012, this is already out of warranty. I apologize however we will not be able to cover the issue on the control panel. I wish I had a more favorable answer. But we thank you for letting us know your concern.

We bought ALL LG appliances 3 yrs. ago, including their French door-in-door refrigerator. We’ve been without that fridge for THREE WEEKS now!! LG’s customer svc. is shameful. They think 3 wks isn’t unreasonable to live without a fridge. It took 2 wks & dozens of phone calls, hanging on hold for over 10 mins. to even get an LG certified tech assigned to our case. Took another week for THEIR certified tech to receive the new compressor from LG parts. (LG refuses to expedite shipping even when we offered to pay for it). He came, installed the new one & it’s STILL doesn’t work!!!!Admittedly, we were enamored by their products. We drank the “Life’s Good” Koolaid. The only element that differentiates one manufacturer, from another is their customer service when things go wrong. It’s easy to spew “Life’s good” mantra when people are spending millions on your products. It’s what a company does to help its brand loyal customers WHEN THINGS GO WRONG - that is the true measure of their worth. I was an LG brand loyal consumer. I’m over that now & hope to warn others so this nightmare doesn’t happen to them. My neighbor had a similar compressor problem with their Samsung fridge. They received a full refund for what they paid for it, in TWO DAYS!One of my husband’s cancer meds requires refrigeration. Even knowing that, LG customer service reps give the same rehearsed canned response; “we’re sorry for your inconvenience”. 1) They’re NOT “sorry” & 2) Being without a fridge for the whole month of August is considered well beyond “inconvenience”!!! They’re doing NOTHING except continuing to try to get it repaired at a snail’s pace. There’s NO possibility of getting anything done quick with them. I offered to give them MY FedEx acct. # to overnight another compressor. No, they can’t even do that. If I could afford to put this piece of garbage on the curb for trash pick-up, I would. But we bought all new appliances knowing we were going to be retiring & these were supposed to last us as we prepared to live on our fixed incomes. I would go buy a similar fridge by another brand manufacturer if I could, but we’re not drawing the salaries we once did. LG expects us to wait ANOTHER 3 wks or longer to see if their tech can replace the compressor, again. When asked if they could overnight it - no, that’s not their policy. They are a disgrace!!!

We had a terrible experience from start to end. Took a month to fix the refrigerator/freezer. LG did not follow through several times during the process. Life is Good for LG. Not it’s customers. Put in a food loss claim over a month ago, still waiting for the check.

We bought our refrigerator (MODEL LFX3194SST) March of 2013. From HH Gregg in Kennesaw Ga. Paid $3000 for it and bought an extended warranty simply because it was an expensive item and had a lot of computers in it. It quit working within the first year and LG sent someone out to repair it. It was the compartment in the freezer that contains the fan that blows cold air into the upper refrigerator section. The same thing happened again in March of 2015. It was under the extended warranty then. In the Atlanta area it is Tanstel who handles warranty for HH Gregg. I would rate Tanstel a minus 3 out of a scale of 1-10. That bad and that unprofessional. I expressed this to HH Gregg retail store and also to corporate office. The store seemed concerned even though they could do nothing to help. Corporate office was a joke and we ended up insulting each other, so I think Im finished buying from HH Gregg. Anyway here it is July of 2015 and my refrigerator is broke again. Same thing for 3rd time. Fan in freezer is frozen that blows air into the refrigerator. So no refrigerator and Tanstel doesnt seem to care if it gets fixed in a timely manner. So Im begging you, please dont buy anything with LG name on it. Read all the other reviews on the internet. They look good, but rust, dont work and you will be sorry. Youve been warned. And ask who made the appliance if you buy it from Sears. It might have a Kenmore name on it but ask who made it.

First LG purchase was in Nov. 2009 with a convection oven/stove and dishwasher. Bought them at hhgregg and purchased the extended warranty. Moved out of that home in May 2010 and left the appliances there as I had planned on renting out that home. The end of May (for my new place) I purchased an LG front loader washer and dryer (Home Depot with extended 5 yr warranty) because it seemed like LG was a good brand from all the reviews I had read. Got renters in the next month for my old house and they were in there about a year. We left the house empty with someone checking on it every couple days for a year and a half. We moved back in Dec. 2012. We moved out again in March of 2014 to a larger home but took the stove with us. The dishwasher started having issues in July of 2014 for our new tenants. Our extended warranty covered it and the repairs ended up costing more than it was to buy a new one so it was completely replaced by the warranty. All in all, the dishwasher was used for about 3 of those 5 years before needing replacement. In December 2014 my dryer wont power on at all and I have to call Home Depot for the repair. They tell me its the motherboard and it gets replaced. This ends up being about a $200+ repair covered by the warranty. That same month, my LG oven wont heat up. The display says its 350 but I can easily touch the racks, and food is not cooking. My stove is no longer under warranty so the expense is on me. I call a repair guy out who tells me its one of the heating elements. $125 later everything seemed fine until 8 months later when now my washing machine wont drain and my stove has another issue. Neither are under warranty. The washing machine needs a new pump at about $200. My stoves motherboard gets replaced at about $200. Fast forward to April 2016. Stove not heating up again. Had appliance guy out who tried telling me we dont have enough electricity coming into our house after charging me $200 for some electrical part he said was bad and it didnt solve the problem. I called electric company who checked everything and house had plenty of juice. Got part of my money back from the appliance guy since he misdiagnosed the stove and cost me more money. Husband replaced the second heating element (theres two in this particular model) and everything seemed fine until August of this year. Washing machine is giving pump failure message again, dryers display is not working right (cant see how many minutes left -- digital display unreadable), and the stove went out again. Stove was approx 5 years old before we started replacing part after part. Washer and dryer were 5 years old before we started having issues. I have an LG fridge and dishwasher (purchased Dec. 2014), but I think these will be my last appliance purchases from LG. 3 appliances getting replaced is ridiculous in one month. Quality is just not important anymore to these companies. I dont expect them to last forever, but 7-8 years would have been nice. Will not purchase another LG appliance.

We purchased an LG range and it was delivered on Dec. 14th. When I tried to convection/bake something at 225 degrees, it automatically went to 300 degrees. I tried putting a lower temperature in and the same thing happened, jumped right to 300 degrees. I called customer service and they told me that it needed to be serviced and set up a technician to come out on the following Tuesday. When the technicians came out (who were very unprofessional and unskilled), They replaced the main electronics panel. The oven still did the same thing. They called technical support at LG and the technician did not know why it did not fix the problem. He went to LGs test kitchen and found that all ovens of this model only convect at 300 degrees or higher. After speaking to a manager, LG informed me that there is nothing they can do and couldnt tell me if they have any oven brands that convection/bake below 300 degrees. The manager actually hung up on me and did not transfer me to anyone who could give me this information. My question is..... has anyone had this problem with LG ovens. Do other brands convection/bake below 300 degrees? We had a Hamilton beach countertop convection oven that would cook at lower temperatures. Is this just a feature on full size ranges?

This is a follow-up to a review written on January 22, 2013 regarding my LG washer. I did hear back from the resolutions department at LG who extended a prorated offer for my unrepairable washer. Whereas I feel the offer is fair, it is a year late in coming! The offer will allow me to purchase another machine. Trust me, it wont be another LG despite their good ratings on various websites. I am still out the hundreds of dollars in labor costs, plus the cost of having my clothes laundered at a local dry cleaners. As I said in my remarks on the 22nd, I do consider myself a pretty savvy shopper by checking both company and customer reviews. But this time was way off the mark. I hope and pray that my next choice in a washer, this time a front loader by Electrolux, is a wiser decision and that I wont be on a first name basis with my local repairman for a long, long time!

Unresolved repair after waiting over 2 months on a new refrigerator. We contacted LG over a month ago because the ice maker on our NEW refrigerator quit working. They contacted a local tech who has changed out the ice maker 3 times and a control board at least once and still NO ICE. After a few weeks, I contacted the tech to find out what we were going to do about getting this issue resolved. I was told that he was waiting for LG to give him a direction to go. I waited another week then called back only to get a voice message telling me to contact the manufacturer. I contacted LG customer service and was told that their notes stated that the issue was resolved!!! I told them that the issue was never resolved and they told me that there was nothing they could do until the local tech updated his notes. I placed another request for an update on the LG customer service site and received a return email stating that they would contact the local repair rep and get back to me. Its been a week and still no response! I tried online chat... no response! At the time of this review, it is now almost 4 months later and still no response from LG!!!

LG Waveforce True Balance Washer large capacity - You CAN fit huge amounts
LG Waveforce True Balance Washer large capacity - You CAN fit huge amounts of clothes in the washer. This is the only good thing. The BAD - no matter whether you wash one thing or a giant load, it will wash and wash and wash because the load becomes uneven and it is trying to even out the load. Eventually, almost every load, you will have to stand over the load to keep re-positioning the load manually until it finishes washing. If you have time to spend at least 20 minutes watching and monitoring almost every load so you can make it even, then this washer is for you.

Purchased my LG fridge in Oct. of 2011. The first service call we had to have was in May 2012. The fan in the freezer that blows the cold air through the unit was not working, and the fridge was not getting cold. The repairman basically said that the fan had slipped down the shaft and could not work. He repaired it at that time, which lasted until Sept. of 2012. At that point, it happened again, and the motor on the fan burned up, and had to be replaced. We took his advice and purchased an extended warranty through LG. The third time the fan malfunctioned was in July of 2013. It sounded like a weed eater was inside my freezer. LG premium care set up a service call for Aug. 22, but the repairman cancelled because he had no record of my extended warranty, and we refused to pay his $150 service call fee up front. I contacted LG again, and they set up another appointment on Aug. 30. The repairman replaced the fan motor again, which didnt fix anything. The next service call was set up for Sept. 10. This time we had two servicemen show up. Upon opening up the fan unit, we were informed that the previous repairman had forgotten to reset the unit. We have gone a month and a half without a refrigerator, and have lost food constantly. I dont feel that I should have to keep buying $150 extended warranties each year to repair their defective unit again and again. Please advise me of my rights and options on this matter.

LFX21960** everything melted, they are sending someone out???? LG Refrigerator Class Action Lawsuit. A design defect in certain LG refrigerator models causes the interior light to stay on after the doors are closed, resulting in overheating, food spoilage, melted plastic and risk of serious fire hazard, according to a class action lawsuit filed in federal court in New Jersey. The defect alleged in the lawsuit involves French door refrigerator models sold since 2005.. I was not informed of the lawsuit and it has been settled. Ugggg.

The LG Model LDE4413ST could have burned down my house! The knobs are way too sensitive, so whenever anyone brushes past them, even slightly and without the knob pushed in, the stove top turns on and you wouldnt even notice until its too late. Very dangerous. Someone else in my family has a gas LG range and this happens to them all the time as well, so I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of other people have this issue. We put in a complaint with LG with pictures of the damage. Tim, whom my husband spoke with on the phone, told us This wasnt your fault. Well take care of it. Now, LG is telling us our home insurance has to cover it and they wont do anything about it. I have reported LG to saferproducts.gov and Im looking into filing a class action suit.

I had purchased a LG refrigerator about 5 years ago. Needless to say, my 15 year old mini fridge is one-upping this terrible product. I have been trying to have SOMEONE repair it, however, there is no appliance store that is certified to fix it. Clearly this speaks volumes. I have had nothing but terrible service from LG, who expressed no concern for this ongoing inconvenience (understatement). I am just about at the two month mark of having a non-functional refrigerator. The fan was replaced although that still didnt fix the problem. Ill be purchasing a new one because dumping more money into this product seems counterproductive at this point. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT AGAIN!! (Im only 31.)

I purchased a top loader washer in August 2012. I washed a couple loads of clothes and after drying them, they stink still. I decided to read the manual to see if I was doing something wrong. No, I sure was not. I tried the extra rinse cycle, etc. Still stinky clothes. I called Conns; they say I have to pay a 20% restocking fee. What! Thats crazy. The machine does not work good so thats a manufacture defect, not a customer issue. Anyway, they decided to send someone to look at it. The guy said, It sounds like youre doing everything right. Nothing wrong. I said, If clothes still stink, something is wrong. He said its the government because theyre trying to save the earth by using less water. Wow, so our clothes have to stink because we have a limit on water to use. This is real crazy to me. What is this world coming to take our money and dont care what we get in return? Pretty soon, we wont be a free country anymore. The government will be running everything.
