People should consider themselves lucky to get 2 yrs, 1yr, 6 mos out of these pieces of junk. Mine replaced an 8 year old Bradford White that was originally installed when the house was built. Funny thing, we had the exact same BW in our last house. Same problem after exactly 8 years - tank leaked. Anyway, this Whirlpool 40 gal gas was installed by a professional plumber ($200) and ran fine for 6 days before the pilot went out the 1st time. In the next 10 days it went out 9 more times until it wouldnt stay lit at all. I would light the pilot and it would be out in 5 min or less. I watched for the error code the last time - 2 flashes which indicated thermocouple low voltage. This is totally ridiculous. After research - which I should have done before I bought - it looks like a total bad design problem with associated customer service nightmares and much additional cost to the customer. AND EVERYONE WHO MAKES AND SELLS THESE THINGS KNOWS ABOUT IT. Attempting to fix this thing - even IF labor was included - looks like throwing good money after bad. When are these companies going to be held accountable for producing cheap poorly designed products and then let the consumer foot the cost of labor and/or replacement. You can say all you want about less government but this is just a small example of what you get when you have less government. Doing further research, it looks like NO manufacturer of gas water heaters can produce a reliable product now. So now, Im installing a Bradford White ELECTRIC water heater. Thats and extra $250 for the electrical service that needs to go in. AND additional for the actual install by a plumber. At least Lowes is not giving me a hard time about getting all my money back for the Whirlpool since its less than 30 days since the purchase. I guess I should consider myself lucky it malfunctioned almost immediately. Total out of pocket on the initial Whirlpool install: $560. Total out of pocket with reinstall of BW Electric: $1000. My time spent on this mess: priceless. At least we will have hot water, even though it will cost more per month in electricity to do it. Thanks Whirlpool - stay classy.

In Feb. 2014 we moved into a new Condo and bought all new kitchen appliances, MAKING one mistake, a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, Model WRS322FDAM 01. It had to be ordered and was received by Lowes on March 10th. Letters from Whirlpool told me that their service warranty had ended as of 2/1/15 which predated our receipt of the fridge. It is a bit noisy with the ice maker, and when it fills up with water, you can hear it, and yes, the ice does fly a bit when you put it into your glass.The worst thing about this piece of junk, is how cheaply it is made. The materials used must have come from the rejected pile of parts. Its just my husband and I, no grandchildren/children and very little company. So, the fridge received average use and then within 6 months, one of the drawers cracked at the back. I tried to glue it back together myself because I was told that it was not a covered item??? My repair lasted a few months and then came apart entirely. When I removed the broken shelf I noticed something around the LED light on the liner in the back of the fridge. I pulled out the meat drawer and found a crack that began at the bottom of the light and had moved about 3 inches to the left, and another one that began at the right of the light and that was about 4 inches or so.Life intervened and when I looked again, the right side crack had split and deepened and it had now crossed over to the rounded edging connecting the back liner to the side liner. The left side crack had also moved further to the left, and is now approaching the side corner. I spoke with Whirlpool and they sent out a repair company who e-mailed a photo of the cracks to them from our home. The company response was that they would cover the crack with 482395 liner tape. - this was their idea of a repair.I then spoke with a Lowes representative who agreed to send another repair firm out. Well, they came today and when they spoke with Whirlpool, they were told to order an Epoxy kit (# 8212572) - this was their version of a repair. I spoke with a supervisor and told her that they were not repairing the liner, they were just placing a bandage on top of the crack. I compared it to owning a new car but having cracks in the dashboard. In this case the dealer would place tapes over the cracks instead of just replacing the dash. Neither response from Whirlpool was a repair. All they were doing was hiding their piece of garbage. She disagreed and would offer nothing further. I told her that I was going to bring this to the attention of any consumer group that I could, and might even see if a class action suit could be brought to bear as there were many other reports of cracked liners. We are totally disgusted with the product and its manufacturer. Whirlpool used to have a good reputation, but after this, it is now at the bottom of the garbage barrel.

We have owned Whirlpool Oven/Range for 3 years, and about 4 times a year, on oven setting over 400 degrees, we get an error message, beeping, and the oven needs to be reset. We also own other Whirpool appliances, and caveat emptor. Buy another brand, please.

I bought a Whirlpool top load washer. In less than a month it had to be serviced by their recommended service repair. It has never worked properly. It malfunctions almost everytime it is used and takes at least an hour to wash even a small load. At first I thought I may have acquired an odd lemon. After talking with several friends who had bought the same Whirlpool model I found we all had the same complaints. My old machine could wash a king size comforter in 36 minutes... that was energy efficient.

I paid over $1,000.00 for a washer based upon previous experience with Whirlpool appliances. I am single, over 65, and use this machine infrequently, as compared to when I had children. The only thing Whirlpool is offering is another of their machines at a discounted price. I value principles more than dollars. I refuse to give them another $600+ as a reward for making junk which apparently should have been recalled. The part I need is not available any place Ive found online. And it completely controls the power to the machine. You cannot open the door, you cannot turn it on. I had two service calls to discover this part is not available.

The refrigerator has worked OK except for occasional freezing towards the back. However the vegetable bins have both broken starting with various parts of the handles in front. We eventually replaced them. A brand new one arrive already broken. Same cheap brittle plastic. No alternative available. The company denies any problems or complaints about the bins. Feels like a small profit center for them.

Purchased WRF989SDAM00 French Door refrigerator in 2013, and 33 months later it is not cooling (fridge 45/freezer 36 degrees). Service call diagnosis is a leak in the sealed component area. Since it out of the 1 year warranty period, nothing is covered. This is the first of Whirlpools dual evaporator models, and is technically challenging according to the service technician. Most likely one or both evaporators are defective, and this type of failure comes with a recommendation to change out the compressor as well as it is moisture compromised.As my previous Kitchen Aids had 10 year sealed component warranties, and the Whirlpool is the same base mechanism as the Kitchen Aid, I contacted Whirlpool to see if they would extend my warranty coverage to these sealed components. Website submission - never got an answer. Called the customer service line - they politely told me they were sorry but there is nothing they can offer me. Even the extended service plan would not cover me as this refrigerator has a preexisting problem and it must be 100% operational to begin an extended service contract.Im extremely disappointed in this fridge only lasting 33 months, in comparison to my previous Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid refrigerators. Of course the internet just allows me to see that Im not alone is purchasing a short lived appliance. So here is my contribution to the internet of things: Do not purchase Whirlpool refrigerators expecting them to last much beyond the warranty period. Buyer beware.

I was excited to have an energy efficient washing machine and chose the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader. I truly wish I had read reviews rather than trust the salespersons advice. It does not clean clothes properly at all. They come out smelling dirty and are covered in white goo, even when the machine has just been cleaned. Stains never come out despite all of my efforts. Now I have water leaking out of the bottom as it fills. Not impressed at all. What a giant waste of money.

Add us to the list of those whose Whirlpool Cabrio washer has failed. First, it was the infamous circuit board at a cost of $475 installed. Now, the tub bearing is apparently beginning to fail given the machines new propensity to roar like a freight train during the spin cycle. A letter to Whirlpool resulted the too bad ** letter that everyone else has gotten. This really should be a class action suit money-maker for some attorney. So now the question: Throw good money after bad hoping to get an additional couple of years out of it or bite the bullet and buy some reliable brand?Never again a Whirlpool, thats for sure. I pointed out to them that in the age of the internet, they wont go unpunished for this but theyre nothing if not shortsighted. An $800 machine requiring $475 worth of repairs and apparently soon to need another $500 worth of repairs. Whats wrong with this picture?

As long as Whirlpool continues to use JB Hunt for delivery and installation service of their products, I would stay away from ordering. JB Hunt visited my home 3 times, and each time left with the dishwasher as they arrived without the appropriate tools to perform a basic installation. Whirlpool also sent 2 damaged dishwashers that could not be installed. Buyer beware.

I do not use my oven much, mostly to heat up something. I noticed all of sudden I couldnt get the microwave to work at the same time as the oven. Then the controls stopped beeping. Then I went to heat up the oven and it started smoking and had a terrible smell. I am two weeks out and still no microwave or oven. The repairman was very nice. Came out and ordered parts. I wanted a new oven and I was told no. Parts came in. Repairman came out and nothing worked. Waiting, waiting and waiting. I will never ever purchase a Whirlpool appliance again. This is not my first bad experience with them. I thought maybe they got better but that did not happen.

We have had a Whirlpool hot water heater for 4 years now. Every three months something has to be replaced on it. Customer service does nothing to help and when we called Monday about a replacement part they told us they could no longer sell parts for that specific heater due to it being in a double wide. I contacted several more people and found out that heater was fine; all we needed was the part. The customer service woman was very rude and not willing to help at all. I told them we don’t have the money to keep replacing their piece of **. I ended up having to order yet again another part that was just replaced 2 months ago from Lowes. So after being with no hot water since Monday, now on Friday it is fixed, I wonder for how long. We do not recommend Whirlpool for nothing and will never buy a piece of ** from them anymore. We have a Whirlpool refrigerator that is causing us problems. I hope to soon get different brands in here to replace what Whirlpool can’t seem to make accurate.

I bought top of the line stainless steel Whirlpool kitchen appliances two years ago. Warranty has expired. Microwave error message showed need to shut door and press start. Door was shut, opened and shut door 20-30 times for microwave to start. Had to buy new Microwave. Now dishwasher now will not drain. Refrigerator ice-maker dispenser is too small and ice keeps getting stuck in dispenser. I am done with Whirlpool.

I bought it 3yrs ago, and it give us headache, only two weeks used and it stops working. We call their service center and have them check, findings is the motor not working and have to replace, we are asking them to replace it with new washing machine, but they only replace the motor, what we cannot accept is that they replace it with a surplus motor. Only two weeks used and they replace only surplus parts!!! Damn. What a bad experience... (The motor they put is noisy too)! After a year the spring hinge collapse and have to fix it again. And now my washing machine is like a helicopter when spinning, shaking and moving around our laundry area... I dont want to buy Whirlpool anymore.

We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio set from Sears in February 2010, for our second home. We counted up the weeks we have actually been here since then, it is about 10 weeks. We figure we used the washer about three times per week. So, we have gotten about 30 wash loads from this washer and it dies mid-cycle. We assume the motherboard crashed. It kicked the breaker. Lid was locked and we couldnt get it open. The washer would not power up. Repairman arrived three days later, got the latch opened but couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. He said it is probably a board and it might be better for us to replace. He wants to pick it up tomorrow to take to his shop. I called Whirlpool to complain. I know the one year warranty is up but to get 30 uses out of this expensive piece of junk and not get any consideration from the manufacturer is not right. I wish I had seen all these complaints before I bought it. No Whirlpool ever!

I purchased this Whirlpool Gold dishwasher a year and half ago, and it needs repair to the tune of $300.00. The drain pump broke and need to have it repaired. If this was the only Whirlpool appliance that went bad, I wouldnt even write a review, but two months ago my Whirlpool refrigerator, one year and 4 months ago, the ice maker stopped working, another $300.00. Whatever you do, do not purchase any Whirlpool products, pure junk. Their customer service is even worse. What a nightmare.

We have a Whirlpool Refrigerator, Model # ED5HHEXTQ00. And every shelf has cracked, the water and ice dispensing levers have broken off. Now our produce trays are broken as well. I do not recommend Whirlpool products to anyone. They will not stand behind their product! There is obviously a problem with the plastic used on the shelves and trays. I have read of others complaining of the same issues!Whirlpool! You need to step up to the plate and recall these shelves, and replace them for your customers!

I purchased a Whirlpool gas stove model #WFG540H0AH from Sears in March 2103. Since that time, the oven has repeatedly broken. After two major repairs, the repair company said the fas venue (?) suspect board was defective and needed to be replaced by the manufacturer. After 3 weeks of back and forth calls with Whirlpool customer service, the only solution they provided was for me to purchase a new stove at a discount with no compensation for installation, the gas connection kit, or haul-away of the old appliance. The original stove cost me $1100 including the installation, haul-away and taxes. The replacement option would have cost me $800 and still did not included haul-away, the gas installation kit, or taxes. Hardly an affordable solution. Whirlpool at no time addressed that a part on the stove was deemed defective.

This stove was in my house when I bought it. It has a glass top on it with marks for each type of burner below. There are a couple of different size burners which makes it very useful. The only problem is with the glass top feature. It gets marked easily even when you try to be careful and many of the marks will not come off with anything I have used. The marks are so prevalent that I would never buy another one.

The Whirlpool water heater I bought 2 years ago at Lowes has had continued problems with its thermocouple causing the water heater to shut down. At first I would have to relight it about every 2 weeks, now I had to do this everyday. I was going to replace the thermocouple until I read numerous sites explaining that several people did this and experienced the same problems.

While the washer is great, the reliability of the dryer is lacking. The timer has broken 3 times on ours in 3 years. Each time the cost of the switch is $75.00. Too much plastic on the shaft. If the plastic was removed, and the shaft was metal, it would be a definite improvement.

I purchased a Whirlpool High Efficiency washer and dryer (Model WED4900XWO) from Lowes in March 2013. This washer has performed miserably. I dread each day when I have to use it. The groaning sound is annoying. My husband and I try to leave the house when the washer is being used. We have tried all cycles and combinations of cleaning detergents to get clothes to come out clean. On a regular basis white clothes will come out with spots or discolored to the point the clothes have to be thrown in trash. This is the worst washing machine I have ever used. I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

We had an old Whirlpool dishwasher that worked great for over 20 years. It had the ole tried and true knobs in front. We replaced it with another Whirlpool when we updated the kitchen. That one had the new electronic panel in front, it lasted 6 years then we had all kinds of problems and finally replaced it with a Bosch, also with a electronic control panel. We have had this one 4 years and it is not working at all. Wont start and keep a cycle on. Spent $500 on it and its a piece of crap. Thousands of complaints on the internet for these new types of dishwashers. The electronic controls panel are faulty, and probably get wet from repeated use. Go back to the knobs. They worked for years and years!

I bought a Whirlpool wdf760sadmo. It was Oct 2014. It broke 31 days later. Lowes said they would not take it back. Called Whirlpool, they sent a repairman out a week later. They ordered parts and came back two weeks later. The parts were not the correct ones. Ordered more parts. This time back in a week. Ok about three weeks have gone by with a broken dishwasher sitting at my house. Got it fixed. A month later a different problem. Call Whirlpool, wait, on hold for about 20 or 30 minutes. They sent a repairman out who ordered more parts which will be in in two weeks. Meanwhile I am without a dishwasher again. I have had to take a day off work each time they have came to repair it. I have spent way too much time on this thing. I wont be buying another Whirlpool.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio about 3 years ago. Have never really like it. It doesnt add enough water to the wash cycle unless you use the bulky setting, which fills the tub up the entire way, so wastes water. It would have been nice to choose your water level like you could on the old machines. Now it wont drain completely and wont spin totally. Ive tried using the drain/spin cycle 2-3 times extra and it still wont spin all the water out. Ive noticed that there is still water in the drum, you can hear it slosh when you move the drum, so I wonder - has anyone ever been told there is a filter in there somewhere that might be clogged keeping it from draining completely? My husband thinks that maybe all the water in the bottom of the drum is not letting it spin because its throwing it off balance. And yes, it stops before the cycle is complete and just sits there and blinks and you have to unplug it to clear the cycle. What a pain. We will never again buy a Whirlpool and I absolutely do not recommend Whirlpool washers. I have a Maytag as well and have not yet had problems with it. Bought it at the same time we bought the Cabrio (2 households). At least the water levels in the Maytag are a little more normal. You can wash more than 1 pair of jeans and get them clean in the Maytag. For those of you with the problem of the clothes not smelling clean - try running the clean cycle with a cup of bleach about once a week. No clothes in it - just a cup of bleach in the bleach dispenser and nothing else. Works for us.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer in 2007. The washer sounded like it was going to take off and started leaking water. Two repair techs later, we found out it was the center bearing. They actually laughed and said they saw it all the time. It could be replaced (you need to replace the whole drum) for $300-$500, but I was told it would never be the same. I spoke with Whirlpool numerous times and they said they would do nothing, and I should have purchased the extended warranty. All I ask is for a company to stand behind their product. Im very disappointed.

Im glad to see that Im not the only one that is dissatisfied with Whirlpools products. Three weeks ago I found my basement to be flooded and you could tell that it was from the hot water heater that was installed in 2005. The plumber changed the release valve. I thought that was it. This past Wednesday I go down the basement and find another flood. The plumber said pilot was not lit. The explanation was wind could have come down the chimney and blew out the pilot. Pilot was relighted and within 12 hours there’s cold water again. I called the plumber again and said that the thermal coupling must have gone bad. I went to Lowe’s to get a replacement and found that Whirlpool is sending a free replacement but I would have to pay shipping. All well and good, but what do I do in the meantime for hot water? If Whirlpool made a mistake, why didnt they send the replacement parts to the businesses that sell their products? I guess that would be the simple solution; instead, they expect me to pay $30.00 for shipping and be without hot water. Well, let me tell you: Im tired of this hot water heater. Whirlpool can go out of business for all I care because they dont stand behind their products. Im going to buy myself a Rheem and Im sure Ill be a lot happier. Need a new hot water heater? Don’t get a Whirlpool!

Because the Korean appliances are a problem for repairmen, were stuck with a Whirlpool choice. Seems to be a good fridge. Noisier than my Kenmore (Korean). I got instructions from repairman on opening right door first and closing it last. Otherwise rubber wears out too soon. If I put anything on left door opposite ice maker, it freezes, making that shelf useless! We had ordered a Kitchenaid but the installers damaged it.

After only 3 years using my Whirlpool front loading washing machine the inner tub is already broken. The repairman said the cost is just about the same as getting a new washer. After reading all the horrible reviews on the Whirlpool washer I WILL NOT be getting a Whirlpool. I am so disappointed in the washer and do not recommend it to anybody. Do not buy a Whirlpool appliance ever.

Less than 2 years after we purchased our whirlpool dishwasher, the rack started to rust. Now the tines are so soft they fall off. The last time we bought a dishwasher the Same thing happened, but after 15 years! They dont even have an option for that to be under warranty so it tells me they dont stand by their product. I will never buy whirlpool again.

I would say that the Whirlpool refrigerator is overall satisfactory and a good product. The size accommodates our refrigerator needs. Would recommend product to my friends and family.

Have read several reviews on Whirlpool refrigerator. Short and sick. I had my refrigerator less than a month. Broke down, been getting NO satisfaction from Whirlpool whatsoever. I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES AGAIN. Service is terrible. Months have gone by, and its still sitting in my kitchen broken. They are taking their sweet time fixing it. Garbage. My Whirlpool washer broke down on July 06, 2014. I contacted the local supplier (Unicomer Trinidad) on July 07, 2014. Their technician came on July 10, 2014. He said that he will have to check and see if they have the part that is needed to repair the machine, they will contact me the next day. No one contacted me. I called on July 14, 2014. I was told that they do not have the part and it has to be order. It will take about 2 weeks for it to reach them, no one contacted me since. I contacted them (Unicomer Trinidad) on August 04, 2014. I was told that they do not have the part and it will take 2-3 weeks to reach them. I did filled out a form on the Whirlpool support site about 2 weeks ago but no one contacted me. I contacting Whirlpool US HQ by telephone, they gave me a number for Whirlpool Florida. I was told that they are responsible for my area but when I try calling the number, it was out of service. When I contacted back Whirlpool US HQ, I was told that they cannot help me check the website for the local representative which I could not find. This washing machine is 10 months old plus I took the extended warranty. It is a Duet WFW94HEXL2 washer.

I would like to invite everyone on here to join me in a moment of silence. My Cabrio has died after a little over 2 years of pure torture that I purchased for $1000 from Lowes. I have had nothing but problems since the day I bought this washer. I think Whirlpool needs to step up to the plate and take responsibility for the mistakes they have made. I will never purchase another product that is in anyway associated with the Whirlpool company. I wish I had my little washer that only needed a new switch back. I guess I am off to find a replacement for this $1000 mistake that I made. If I had the resources, I would file a lawsuit against Whirlpool myself.

I came back from vacation and found a sheet of ice at the bottom of my freezer, just like that lady from SC and some vegetables frozen in the vegetable bin; not very happy. Have not contacted anyone yet, but I’m very unhappy about this situation. This refrigerator is less than 2 years old; I’m afraid of putting anything in this unit as it is very undependable.

Within 5 years, this is my experience: A broken brand new Whirlpool fridge after 6 months of purchase; a broken oven that needed repair after 1 year, and today, the oven door just shattered in pieces after I heard a loud noise from the kitchen, almost injured the kids. And guess what, I just returned a new Tilt-Head Stand Mixer KitchenAid that wouldnt stay in place; the head keeps on tilting and would not stay locked. After being on hold on the phone for almost 3 weeks for a return, I found out it was a Whirlpool brand family. This is horrible, I would suggest to never buy the Whirlpool brand; their products are a real nightmare and their customer service is not reliable. If you do buy from them, expect unreliable products and very long long wait periods on the phone.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater not even 3 years ago, and I am already replacing parts; thermostat,thermocouple, and as of yet, no fix. We contacted Whirlpool, and they said that everything has been tried, and if the thermocouple doesnt fix it, well have to hire a plumber at our expense. Its kinda ridiculous. The water heater that we replaced, had been in the home for almost 17 years.This one didnt even make it to 4.

Extremely disappointed in Whirlpool oven! Built new home and this was recommendation by BAC Appliance. The oven does not self-clean well at all, and my spills are minimal. Deposits between glass doors that cant be removed. Oven is barely cleaner than before I cleaned for full cycle. Oven suddenly shuts off for a short while and then restarts. Steam comes when using lower oven and removes finish on upper oven. I expected Whirlpool to have a quality product. Definitely not! BAC really had no answers for me.

It is my belief that through my experience that most Gas Range manufacturers mainly Whirlpool corporation purposely designs the stove igniter part to fail in 5-10 years. They do this in hope the consumer will purchase a new stove. The igniter in my stove has failed 6 times since I purchased it in 2005. I have had to replace it at my expense each time. The last time it failed, I asked Whirlpool if they would do a good faith gesture and replace it. They very rudely refused. I will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance again and encourage others to follow me. If they give me this much grief over a simple good faith gesture, I can only imagine the difficulties in getting them to honor a warranty claim!

I had sold appliance for ten years. I purchase a Whirlpool Cabrio 2010. After two years started rusting. It is rusting on the outside and now on the inside, that I cannot wash delicates or whites. Watery body from all the refrigerator side since 9 – 10 months and complained to Whirlpool 2 months back. They changed the thermostat 2 times but no use. Problem same. Please help. I complained during the last warranty days. Please let me know.

We have a large family so when we needed a new refrigerator we found this very large unit (Whirlpool 32 cu). About this unit, its not really all that wide, but it is very deep. Lowes didnt have a model on the floor but we went by photos. Also the salesman showed us a smaller version of this unit and we were impressed with the design. However unlike the unit we saw the shelves arent adjustable. They are preset. Also the ice maker on top is very small and makes ice very slowly. The freezer section ice maker is much larger. The main complaint I have with that is unless you push the tray all the way to the back ice can drop behind the tray and fall down causing the freezer door not to always close properly, leaving you with semi defrosted food. Whoever designed this refrigerator was an idiot. All issues are really related to design flaws. This is a very expensive refrigerator. I expected a great unit and got a piece of crap instead. Stay away from this model at all cost. It would be smarter to buy 2 refrigerators instead if you have the room. This model will give you nothing but a headache and grief.This is our story about our experience. This all took place within 1 year. We bought it at Lowes. They were wonderful when it came to taking care of us when it was within the stores’ warranty. They really tried to help us. Once their warranty ran out they put us in touch with our new repairmen. Lowes did tell us that one other man bought the same unit and he was up to refrigerator # 15. Like I said, this unit is crap. Our first unit was delivered with a huge dent in the door. They took it back (lucky for us we have 2 other refrigerators).Second unit arrived in store also badly dented. They didnt bother to deliver that unit. Third unit arrives at store but back area around motor all dented up. They order a 4th unit. This unit wasnt dented up so they delivered it. However doors were very off and wouldnt line up so it didnt close properly. A 5th unit was ordered and same issue with the doors. A 6th unit ordered and they called telling me that it was all dented up and needed to order a new unit. Our 7th unit arrived and in 3 days started making funny sounds. Dual ice makers stopped working and inside refrigerator is was very warm. Lowes ordered #8. This unit the freezer doors werent lining up so #9 was ordered. This time everything seemed to line up, no dents however by the third month it started making a funny sound. Dual ice makers stopped working. Warm inside the refrigerator section. Lowes sent out a repair man. He explained a design flaw was not enough insulation around the fan so it was icing up. That was replaced and it was working nicely for 4 months. Same issues with fan icing up, the noise and no ice. The repair man came out again and mentioned what was kind of a recall with the unit. The control panel in the back of the refrigerator was wrong and needed the correct one to be put in. That was done. He told us that we shouldnt have any more issues with it.Same thing again. Same symptoms, same results...we had to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of food. (I just put in an entire prime filet mignon I planned for a special dinner and had to throw it out. OUCH!) Awaiting for the repair man, again. He will be out in 5 more days. Im sure it will be a new issue, a new brand new fix and it will work for a few weeks to months and we will be calling him again.

I have had to replace my Whirlpool 50-gallon hot water heater 2 times. First time it broke, it caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damages plus Im out a $760.00 deductible. I had the last one just over 1 month and couldnt exchange it at Lowe’s because it’s a few days over a month. So I had to get return authorization before I could return it again. I went through speaking to a hateful CSR. After calling back again, the lady, a real nice lady, helped me. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again, and if anyone is smart, they will stay away from them too. Hateful, hateful CSR. Beware.

Ive owned the microwave for 2 years, and recently the DOOR AJAR alarm goes off whenever I try using it. The appliance is now essentially unusable. I wish I knew about this known defect before purchasing. I spoke with Whirlpool Customer Care, and they want to charge me to have someone come fix a known defect. The charge is more than what I paid for the microwave. Please avoid Whirlpool at all costs!

Expected to come day before Thanksgiving, repairman cannot schedule until part arrives thus no guarantee date of fix. Found part online from AppliancePartsPro.com. They shipped it one day later - fixed dishwasher. Whirlpool will not stand behind part because it did not come from them. I have all the proof that it is a Whirlpool Certified Part from a Appliance Parts Pro. Appears Whirlpool would rather have a broken machine in a home rather than help the customer fix it.

We purchased our Whirlpool Gold series, french door refrigerator 22 months ago. The freezer and ice maker has stopped working. We had one repairman come out already and he couldnt fix it. We have another one coming in 2 days. I am very disappointed with the Whirlpool brand. I also bought a microwave, 2 wall ovens, and a dishwasher at the same time. The microwave makes a clicking noise every time you use it.

I brought a whirlpool dishwasher in 2013. It never did clean dishes, had to wash them by hand before putting them in dishwasher. Had someone come out and check it. He told me I was using wrong type of soap, so I changed. That didn’t do a thing. Now I have mold growing in the dishwasher because the tub is cracked all around the inside. Called whirlpool, of course they couldn’t do anything about it. Have never heard of dishwasher cracking. So today, Lowes came out and took picture of crack that is where I brought it. Surely they (Whirlpool) will fix this at no charge to the consumer because as I was told 4 years ago, this is the best technology. Now mind you, its just my wife and me. She doesnt have to do laundry for 50 people or even 4 for that matter. Calling Whirlpool (ring, ring, ring. My experience with this company will never happen again because I will never ever buy another one of their products. The Gold Series Whirlpool dishwasher has some cool features for changing the configuration of the shelves, etc. After that its all downhill. Poor washing, worse drying. In the past 6 months Ive tried: less dishes, redistribute them differently every use, lower/raise upper shelf, use liquid detergent, powder packets, drying agent... nada. Absolutely NO remnant of food can be on the dishes. Of course I rinse everything well prior to loading washer; this one wants them CLEANED. I dont give a flying fig how loud a machine is as long as its doing its job. This one quietly does very little. AND the genius who designed that horrid cutlery basket needs a new job.The basket slides onto the inside of the door, making it difficult to reach into; it can sit on the outside of the lower tray but it falls off at the slightest disturbance. The baskets are narrow with hinged lids; the lids have small and medium slits so items are placed individually. If your cutlery is the right size! Ours is a little wide in the handle, they dont fit and must be placed into the opened, narrow baskets and butt up against each other. We are only 2 folks, I cook one meal a day and run the washer TWICE because bowls and pots take up the entire space, so I either wash the remainder by hand or keep the sink full of dirty pots and dishes. LOVELY. Bring back the old washer!!!

It is a new model side by side with water and ice maker. The temperature is very uneven, inside it has surprisingly little storage room in both fridge and freezer. Very difficult to fit food in due to awkward spaces. Would not buy again or recommend.

Refrigerator was purchased in March 2015. Icemaker filled the basket two times then never worked properly again. The water would enter the tray, freeze, but never drop the cubes. In order to drop the cubes, we had to unplug the refrigerator for a moment then we would have those few cubes. We used one service company sent by Whirlpool that came 3 times, adjusted temp, and replaced one electrical part. It didnt work. The repairman was going to call for support from Whirlpool to see if anyone else had had this problem. I didnt hear back from him until I called him 1 1/2 weeks later. He basically said there was nothing else he could do. Whirlpool sent out another service company. He replaced 2 electrical parts. They didnt work. We have no choice but to keep having service men come out and try to repair the refrigerator. What happens when the warranty has expired? They are trying to sell me an extended warranty. Give me a break. It would be nice to have a working refrigerator first. I wish I would have read these reviews before I ever bought a Whirlpool. Im 78 and Im still learning. Never again, Whirlpool. Ill spread the news as well because we all work too hard for our money to throw it away on poor products.

We bought model WRS571CID*** which has an in-door ice maker that has stopped working after exactly 3 years. An excellent authorized service rep advised that the wire harness from the freezer to the door was damaged by chafing from normal opening and closing the freezer door, which has caused the ice maker wires to break, thereby disabling the ice maker. The only remedy is replacing entire the door, which would cost $1700 according to Whirlpools published repair data, which he is obligated to charge. Apparently, the wiring harness is not a replaceable part, because I suspect the labor hours needed to disassemble and reassemble the door is prohibitive. Well, a new fridge costs about the repair. I spoke to the Whirlpool company about whether they acknowledge that the design is faulty and that the door should be replaced at their expense even out of warranty, and they declined.So I advise prospective buyers to be aware of this issue and watch other reviews. There are many customer reviews on various sites complaining about this very issue. Our workaround is to put ice trays into the freezer to make ice, and while the dispenser still works, pour the ice thus made into the ice dispenser manually - until the wire control that also becomes damaged and stops working. I would not recommend buying this model.

Bought the model before this just over 2 years. Conveniently it broke just after the warranty expired. I chose not to buy a extended warranty as my last fridge from KitchenAid is over 20 years old and never had a single problem with and still operates like NEW. I can’t say that for my Whirlpool which was very expensive. It has been with an issue within the ice maker for over 8 months. Every computer board has been replaced twice with no fix. Then tried to replace the cooling fan within the ice maker unit seven times. Whirlpool could not find the right part, as the wiring had changed mid model and have no record of when it was changed and what models affected.Certified Whirlpool technician was great and so apologetic. I had taken 7 Mondays off to meet him to only have the wrong part time and time again. Whirlpool support tech line basically said he was wrong, yet I witnessed all visits and my 3 plug fan unit did not match Whirlpools newer part that was 2 plugs. I was not happy missing so much work because Whirlpool is incompetent. Finally my tech ordered a whole new ice maker, including the cooling fan. Lo and behold, Eighth time, parts did not match. He again called Whirlpool tech support and reordered another set one final time. Another Monday to find that this time the parts did fit, but cooling fan still did not work. He called Whirlpool tech support again. They started to trace wires one by one.Whirlpool tech support said it was a bad or broken wire somewhere in the cavity of the fridge buried in insulation and was not replaceable. In other words I have a $3000+ refrigerator that is useless. Whirlpool said they would replace the unit. But when I called, they said since I didnt have an extended warranty, they would prorate it and it’s going to cost me over $1000 of my money to to replace due to a manufacturer wiring defect after only 2 years. What the Heck, I was willing to pay to fix it, but Whirlpool can’t fix it. Don’t buy a Whirlpool product as they are Junk and do not stand behind their BRAND!!! Purchased washer and dryer combo on 07-08-2013. I have a family of just 2 now. Under normal conditions I thought the machine should last 12 to 15 years. After 2 years of service the bearing and seal on the tub failed, I had to order parts and rent a tool to install. Then after 3 years had to replace suspension kit for the tub. Now after 3 1/2 years the water drain pump has failed and the sensor on the motor is acting up. This machine listed for $800. I did not purchase extended warranty but I have repaired myself. If I had not repaired myself the cost would have exceeded the cost of new. I have now purchased another makers model machine. I think Whirlpool should buy this machine back.

Dishwasher has had multiple issues in the 4 years of use. - Incomplete cycles - need to call repairman to figure out why the dishwasher does not complete cycles, fills with water but doesnt go into clean cycle - In 2 years had to replace grommet due to leaking water. - Top rack slide rail plastic ends broke needing to purchase both new ones. - Detergent door quit opening - door does not open during entire cleaning cycle.- Design flaw with silverware rack on the door, be careful not to block or silverware will not get cleaned.

Weeks ago, we received a new refrigerator from Whirlpool. Never really got down to temp. They replaced the compressor and still does not work. You would think a company like Whirlpool would replace it. That is a joke. They want to try and repair it again, another compressor? Buyers beware of Whirlpool ovens! We bought a Whirlpool Built-In Electric Oven in August 2008. Fifteen months later, I decided to clean the oven for the first time and when I turned it on the auto-clean, the entire control panel went dark. The technician said he has seen this problem several times in such ovens and was able to repair the oven. I called Whirlpool and they had not heard of this being a common problem. Last week, the air blower wasnt functioning and had to be replaced. I called Whirlpool again and told them about this second incident in a 4 year old oven that is not used frequently. I told them their quality assurance people and/or engineers need to re-evaluate their products. My lesson learned is that I will never purchase another Whirlpool or Whirlpool related product.

I purchased A Whirlpool washer model WTW4816FWD some six months ago and it is worse than my 13 y/o washer I got rid of. When wringing clothes it seems be out of balance as it bangs like crazy even when clothes are adjusted. I thought it was the feet but no dice and the auto sensing levels allows for the washer to fill completely with only three items in it? The noise it makes while washing can be heard throughout the whole house too. The cycle takes three times as long of any Ive ever used! I hate this thing.

This Whirlpool washing machine is over 5 years old and very reliable, I use it several times a week and have had no problems with it. Next time I will purchase a larger capacity machine so I can wash comforters and spreads easier.

Very unreliable oven. Oven temperature never seems to get to the proper setting. Do not buy any Whirlpool appliance. They do not stand behind their product. A stove should be relatively simple but Whirlpool managed to produce a product that is complicated & unreliable.

Leaks water on bottom. Door seal dont go far to under door, is from manufacturing defect, is water overflow or is something else. Dishes washer is about 10 years older. Very real disappointed and wont buy this brand again on dishwashers.

The refrigerator I purchased a week was a dud. Two days ago I received a replacement for a new unit with the same brand and type purchased a week ago from Lowes which never cooled properly (never even froze water into ice), and the coolest it got was 45 to 50%, after three days, with the coldest settings. This replacement works great. Cools like it should. Freezer at 0 and refrigerator cabin at 35 degrees to 40. Lowes was right on top with their service and callbacks - I give them an A for customer service.

Appliance repairman is coming tomorrow. Washer is less than 2 years old and will stop mid-cycle more than once (I re-start it)... At first when I thought the cycle was done I would get ready to move the clothes to the dryer and realize they were all soapy and sometimes they were just massively soaked so something is not working right. Sensor?? Hopefully not the computer panel as that will be too expensive to repair.

I have bought a top load 6.2kg washing machine 3 months back. But now almost all the plastic parts are having a cracks. When I asked for replacement they said plastic parts are not covered in warranty.

It gets the job done. Its no power washer, but the dishes get pretty clean and dry nicely. I have no idea how dirty the dishes can be and still get cleaned, since Im weird and pre-wash my dishes. Its stainless steel and black, and has quite a few wash and dry settings, including an option for heated or unheated dry. The utensil rack is attached to the door of the washer and cant be moved. Two levels, and pretty easy to do dish tetris with. No offense to most standard dishwashers – I need a washer about 3 times the normal size due to a passion for cooking. Its slick and matches my ultra-modern, borderline-Swedish interior.

We bought our Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRT318FZDB02 July of 2019. We liked it very much. The beginning of January 2022 we started having issues with things freezing. A few days later nothing got cold. The appliance technician that checked it out said our seals on the compressor were bad and needed a new one. He told us we were better off buying a new refrigerator. I contacted Whirlpool support and they told me the same thing. Our previous refrigerator lasted over 30 years!! I would think Whirlpool would make their refrigerators last longer than 2 1/2 years!!

Water heater was defective from the factory with a pinched wire between the thermostats. After replacing everything on the heater Whirlpool would not reimburse any parts or labor for the unit... Whirlpool is dead to me now, and forever and I love to tell my story to prospective buyers of their products!!! Purchased front load washer & dryer 2009 - have had issues with the washer ever since. The last episode has taken 3 visits from repairman - they cant figure out what the problem is - wont finish a cycle (any of them) and locks up. Cant open the door without turning it off and then back on. But the load wont spin dry - leaves clothes wet. Already had the harness replaced a couple of years ago and now they replaced the flywheel (it was warped) thinking that was the problem. Nope. Still wont work & the repair company said they cant figure it out & neither can Whirlpool. Im very angry after reading all of these posts about Whirlpool. Not a happy customer. But what can you do???

The washer buttons stopped responding after 19 months. Lid lock sensor didn’t work. Replaced control board because new sensor did not fix it. Went bad again after a week. I have to replace it. I think 1 year warranties are not enough for a major appliance.

We owned a Whirlpool Duet washer that went out in late December 2011. We bought another Whirlpool Duet washer on January 8, 2012. On July 31, 2012, it stopped working with the error message F24. In WV, Whirlpool contracts their insurance/warranty through ACE Appliance. We scheduled with ACE the next day. They came out on August 6, 2012. The repairman told me it would be 7-10 days for the part. The part was on back-order, so in reality it took 17 days before they returned. It was repaired on August 23, 2012. Today, September 17, 2012, the washer stopped working again with the same error: F24. Whirlpool will do nothing to replace the washer, even though it is less than a year old and we paid $900 for the washer. This is the second Whirlpool we have owned that has crashed. I have two small children (4 and 2) and I am due with number 3 in 3 weeks. While the washer was broken, I spent nearly $80 at the laundromat for washing only - I carried baskets of wet laundry home to dry. And now I get to repeat the same exact struggle less than a month after it was fixed. When asked, the customer service rep told me that no matter how many times it broke, all they would do is send a repairman. They never ever replace appliances regardless of the problem. I am unbelievably frustrated and I want to tell everyone that I possibly can to stay away from Whirlpool appliances! Do not buy them new! Their manufacturers warranty is a joke!

Apparently my machine, bought in 2011, was the first year they were made in the US. The washer has leaked soap down the front (a front loader) since day one. Service has come and replaced just about everything and its never helped. Its literally a piece of junk. Very disappointing. My older ones were great.

Our over the range Whirlpool microwave door casing is disintegrating where the door handle screws to the door. Big chunk fell off today.

Moved to new house with new Whirlpool appliances, including oven, in August, 2015. I did not cook in oven at all until Thanksgiving meal. Had something spill over in oven. Spillover caught fire. Oven at 350 degrees. Complained to Whirlpool. A supervisor told me that it is normal for spillover to catch fire. They sent out a tech to check oven, and said I would be responsible for paying tech. The tech explained that unlike conventional ovens, this oven has heating elements outside of oven, so to get to the temperature of 350 degrees, the heat at the bottom of oven can get to over 550 degrees. He could not get Whirlpool to replace oven. I didnt have to pay, but now I am afraid to use it. Some of the finish on the inside of the oven was burned away, so it is not like I can trade it in. I feel the oven has a defective design if spillovers are supposed to catch fire while you are cooking, and the finish gets damaged. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again, if I can help it.

Stainless steel, easy to adjust, cools very well installed in a RV instead of standard RV fridge. Took a little bit of carpenter work to make Whirlpool fit but well worth the effort. The only problem I have with the fridge is that whirlpool wont honor the warranty because it is installed in a RV.

Horrible. We purchased the set In October 2010. It worked great for a little over a year. (Go figure, just out of the manufacturers warranty.) The washer stopped spinning out water. Every other cycle completes successfully. The diagnostic cycle is also successful but once there is clothes in the machine, it wont spin. I called customer service and was told that a one year warranty was $230 and service is $130 plus parts. After reading another horror story, it seems that this venture is going to cost us around $450 for a new circuit board. Where is that class action suit at again?

Purchased a NEW Whirlpool side by side refrigerator (WRS965CIA) and it was delivered on 2-3-14 with a dent in the door. The retail store ordered a replacement door and this order was approved by Whirlpool. 4 months later, I still dont have the door. My 8 calls to the retail store say that Whirlpools Trade partner is not returning their calls or emails to get this resolved. My contact with Whirlpool was met with contact your Trade Partner. Vicious cycle and still no replacement door.

I have had a Whirlpool washer for less than 1 year and have had it serviced over 7 times with drain problems - code A10 being displayed. Have not been able to resolve the problem with neither the dealer nor the manufacturer. What a lemon!

We purchased the unit in March, by April it wasnt cooling. In June it shut down. In July after 8 tech appointments and repairs. Whirlpool finally said they would refund my purchase and I should see the money in about three weeks. That would be about a week longer than the refrigerator worked. I dont have the money to just get another one so I guess the family will be without a refrigerator for another month. That means shopping every day for perishable for a family of 10. I would not recommend another Whirlpool product. This is no joke, every time I called them one of the first things asked was Did you get the extended warranty? Why would they ask, sounds as if they dont trust their own product either. This unit was purchase online through Sears.com. Purchase price was $2299.99. Order placed on March 4, 2017.

I bought an adapter that I added to the kitchen pipe, drilled a few holes in my cabinets to route the hose and voila! It is small but big enough so it's perfect for me. I didn't realize it had an internal heater so I was moving the hose between hot & cold under the sink but now that I know. I will try the heater. The settings are complicated so you have to read the instructions fully. Before I read them I thought every load took 2-3 hours but they don't. I do like to use the heavy soil setting and that does take a couple hours, but if I'm in a hurry or the load is not that bad I use a shorter 50 min setting. For the drain hose I either put it out the window or put a screen in the sink & tie it to the faucet. You have to tie it down wherever you aim it because the water comes out with enough force to throw the hose. I had a couple incidents of kitchen flood before this stuck in my head, now that sucker is secured well. I intend to make a permanent drain to the pipe eventually but for now I just use window/ sink. This required a longer drain hose. For apartment use, I am very happy.

Whirlpool top loader washing machine Model CAE2743BQ0 - Highly regret buying this washing machine. It was expensive and it doesnt actually wash clothes. Clothes come out with streaks of dirt and detergent since the machine barely has an agitator and whats worse it doesnt load enough water. I called Sears for repair three times and the technicians say thats the way this machine is. Its terrible! So frustrating. Since we were over the 30 day return period when we noticed the issue wasnt going away, Sears wont do anything. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!

I bought a Whirlpool fridge in June of 2014 and the plastic part of the stainless steel handle that attaches it to the fridge broke about a month or so later. After replacing the fridge because the company said they no longer made the part they gave me a new fridge and with that one the door would not close without leaving a gap of about 1/3rd of an inch open at the hinge side. They took that fridge back and sent me a new fridge. A week later I got in the mail a handle for the first fridge which I no longer had. About a week after that I noticed that the latest and third fridges handle had a crack in the same place. Whirlpool sent me 5 replacement parts and they were all defective with the same crack visible in the replacements. Finally I got a replacement handle that looked good and it broke today, Feb 6th 2016, in the same place as the first one. I should mention that each time the company replaced the fridge it was with a different and better model and each with a slightly different handle. There are other design flaws with the fridge. The door is in a corner and there are cabinets on the wall so the door can only open slightly more than 90 degrees which makes it impossible to open the crisper drawer enough to get a cabbage in it and if I want to clean the crisper drawer I must move and turn the fridge in the kitchen. Also if the crisper drawer is not closed completely it causes the guard rail on the bottom door shelf to fly off sending everything on the bottom shelf to fall to the floor. Fun when some are made of glass and filled with liquid. You would think I would have learned my lesson about this company but no! I went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and when I saw that the automatic door would not open enough to dispense the soap, powder or packet I called a certified Whirlpool repairman who told me after receiving a duplicate that of course would not work either, that there was no solution to the problem and I went back to Lowes and bought a Samsung and my problems were solved. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER Whirlpool or as I now call it, Whirledpoo, product, EVER.

Purchased a Side By Side refrigerator just 16 months back and this is the Third time the ice maker has failed. Who makes JUNK like this?? Is there not One company that can make anything to last at least three years. I am disgusted with the junk we bought that has Whirlpool on it. I should Sue Home Depot and Whirlpool for Fraud.

We bought this Cabrio washer WTW6400SW2 several years ago. Immediately after having it delivered and installed, it started displaying an F1 fault code. The main control board was replaced under warranty. It happened again within six months. Another board was replaced. That board lasted another six months. The warranty was up by then, so I used the machine by hovering over it and restarting it every time it failed. After two years of this piece of junk, we put it in storage while we worked on the road. It was brought out on 10/01/11. I called a repairman (who came on 10/04/11) to come replace the board again. He told me that the last two times it had been replaced with the same defective board, that Whirlpool had never fixed the problem. He claimed he had the new improved board, which he replaced for about $350. Two days ago (361 days later), it went bad again. The same repair company came back and said it was the board again. I just tried chatting with a person working on the Whirlpool website. They (of course) said they would do nothing about the washer. They do not stand behind their product, obviously. Does anyone know of a class action lawsuit over these washers? It is a ridiculous amount of money to spend for a product that does not work. This is just wrong!

My brand new oven kept turning off automatically. When reported, they kept sending a technician who kept lying to both parties regarding what the issue was. Whirlpool customer service people have been extremely rude and declined to fix the issue although my oven was under warranty without giving me proper reasoning for their actions. I am truly dumbfounded with this experience!

This machine is 18 months old. First it failed to drain (LD code). Ran diagnostics and found the drain pump ($60) failed. The Mexican part was replaced with an Italian part. Two weeks later, the infamous F1 code flashed - control board. I sourced a new one. I ran one load and another F1 code is flashing. These are $150 electronic parts. Fuhgetaboutit. Im sending this ** to the dump and going back to electromechanical controls. I had a Maytag that lasted 15 years.

We bought a Whirlpool oven in Costa Rica. Wanted a good oven from a reputable manufacturer. Oven has had numerous problems over the past 2 months. Local vendor is worthless and trying to run out guarantee time. Whirlpool U.S.A. says it will not help with problems for products sold outside US or Canada. Fair enough. THEN DO NOT SELL THE WHIRLPOOL BRAND WHERE YOU DO NOT SUPPORT YOUR PRODUCT.

It has performed perfectly for the past eight or nine years. Only problem has been little plastic parts broke that held one big drawer that we may have overloaded. Door shelf plastic part holding it on... broke also.

I bought this washer less than 2 months ago and I am devastated to say the least as they are not even remotely cheap. Appears that is doesnt come close to using enough water or enough agitation to get even 2 pieces of clothing clean. What good is 5.8cu (largest size tub) if you cant even wash a load sized for non HE washer. I am forced to wash a 1/4 of the amount of clothing now vs my previous standard washer, if I even want half cleaned clothing. I have tried every cycle with no difference.Doesnt use enough water but appears to spend most of the cycle time, filling with water. I know that sounds contradictory, but there isnt really any other way to explain it. Might as well not even have an (agitator), I use that word lightly here, as it does nothing to help clean the clothing inside. Pre-programmed cycles are not enough to do what you need it to do. Because of the pre-programmed cycles, unable to place clothing inside, fill with water, agitate a little and then stop or pause long enough to let contents soak for a while. I really miss being able to do this with my previous Whirlpool washer.It doesnt matter how little or how much detergent you use, the results are always the same, clothing comes out partially dry and dirty. Usually requires 2 or more wash cycles to remotely obtain clean items. Most items never even go under the water, no matter how much water it decides to fill with. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool with this fiasco they call a washer, with their name on it and they should be also. I have never owned any other brand than Whirlpool, so I didnt hesitate to buy this set, as I had wanted them for several years and finally made the decision to purchase and what a mistake this was. Will never make this mistake again. Whirlpool needs to correct this for every customer that has purchased these washers or risk ruining their reputation.

Whirlpool customer service is non-existent. I have a Whirlpool microwave that burned up after two months of use, and they sent over a technician twice, in the past three weeks and it is still not working. Now, I am being told that it will take another two weeks before the correct part is found, and the technician is sent here again to fix the problem.I have no microwave now, for what is going to be about 5 weeks, and that is only if they get it right this time. Whirlpool wouldnt approve for me to have it traded a trade for a new one at HH Gregg where I purchased it in Aug of 2011. HH Gregg only has a 30-day return policy, and it went bad after 60 days.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Model WTW7340XW0 type 580 Serial C02770464 and a Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer Model WED7300XW0 Type DSSA-ELE-2406026-EL54 Ser M02717021 in 2010 for over $1,700. Included was a 3-yr anything goes wrong, well replace for free warranty. A month after the purchase, we lost our home and were forced to move. We put the new appliances in storage and they have been there ever since. From the day we purchased the washer, we never got a clean wash out of it. It seemed it used about a teaspoon of water. Clothes were never clean... We had many other problems at the time and both washer and dryer were put into storage.Today, the warranty has long expired and I happened to check on the ConsumerAffairs site to see if there were any comments regarding whirlpool Cabrio washers... WOW! 1600 negative comments and not one positive. Later, I realize we made a $1700 mistake. My question is do I have any recourse? Please advise.

We purchased a Whirlpool Gold self-cleaning oven three months ago and have had nothing but problems with it. First of all, the new aqua clean system is a joke. I ended up scouring the inside with cleanser and a scouring pad for over 30 minutes to get all the baked-on food that the aqua clean system did not get off. Now Im not wanting to use the oven to cook anything that splatters. Secondly, the oven does not cook when using the convection mode. I thought convection was suppose to cook quicker but in my case, I have to cook the food longer. Thirdly, the bulb burnt out in the oven after only three months. Im glad we are trying to sell the house because I could not live with all the problems very much longer.

My Duet Sport washer drum is damaged due to the poor quality of the bearings. I replaced the Whirlpool Duet Front Loader Washer Bearing & Seal Kit W10253866, W10253856 but because the bearings were damaged the drum is also damaged. When I opened the rear panel of the washer the bearings had literally come apart and bearings fell out. All of the floor and the oil/grease was everywhere. I replaced the bearings but it didnt matter because the drum is warped. Priced the drum and it is nearly $400.00 to replace the assembly. The cost of the drum assembly is about half the cost of a new washer. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again. Just a shame that the cost of a replacement drum is so high. What caused the bearings to just explode and damage the drum. What did I do to cause this? Absolutely nothing. I have since discovered that this is has happened to scores of people with this same washer.

Purchased the American Made Whirlpool in Oct. 2020. There is plenty of room and there are only 2 adults in the home. It is a basic no frills refrigerator. We do not even need the ice maker that it has. Would purchase this again. The only negative is it makes weird gurgling sounds on occasion.

Got a Whirlpool hot water heater 5 years ago has 9 year warranty. The threads on the nipple are rusted out and it’s leaking. It has rusted out so badly that it’s leaking. They are refusing to replace it saying it’s a plumbing issue even though the nipples that they installed are what’s leaking.

This same problem occurred about a month later so I called Whirlpool. They sent out an entire new thermostat assembly which took me about an hour to install. The hot water heater has worked correctly ever since.

My dishwasher was a $300ish model from Lowes. It is over 5 years old and has been reliable for a single persons use. It is run about once a week on average. Early on I had problem with it not cleaning well but that was the fault of one of those no leak supply hoses that restricted flow...fixed that. Would I buy again? Yes.
