I had owned another Whirlpool Washer before, which died. I purchased this one. It was noisy and unreliable. Whereas the previous one lasted for 10 years, this one stopped working in less than 6. I went out and replaced it with a GE instead.

I bought the Whirlpool gas water heater less than 1 year ago from Home Depot. It does not work. The pilot light will not spark to ignite the gas. Customer service is never available when you call, you get a message machine. Going forward, I will never buy a Whirlpool product and I will recommend friends and family to boycott Whirlpool. The 6-year warranty is worthless. You cant rely on the warranty. You cant rely on the water heater. You cant rely on Whirlpool to stand behind their product. The water heater is junk.

For the most part, the dishwasher performs well, but I wish they would ask the input of women when designing appliances. I just can’t figure out how having spikes on the top and the bottom racks is supposed to help in organizing your dishes better for proper cleaning.

I just purchased a new Whirlpool 6th Sense hot water tank #333570. This unit is a piece of garbage. Whirlpool should be ashamed at the quality of product they make. This unit came with a bent temperature and pressure relief valve, which required a piece of copper tubing to be bent awkwardly just to remedy the situation. Also, the control box is set at 12 (most other brands are 14, which is common), forcing the gas lines to be re-piped (very expensive). This unit also is extremely noisy, runs really, really hot and is not energy-efficient at all. Shame on me for not researching this product more closely. If youre buying a new hot water tank, steer clear of Whirlpool products.

We purchased 6 six appliances for our home just over one year ago. The initial problem with the washing machine literally took ten home visit to resolve with the final solution being total replacement. Far too many days away from work. The laundry appliances have a loud beeping noise that goes off with the slightest contact, annoying and designed to be eliminated or muted. Today we discovered that the water filter in the fridge is single sourced at over $50 with shipping, which seems usurious at best. Will look elsewhere for the next house/purchase and NEVER buy from this company, including their other brands...Kitchenaid, Maytag, etc.

I closed on our new home in December 29, 2019! The first issue we experienced with our Whirlpool Oven was March 2020! The first technician who arrive in March 2020 was supposed to replaced two parts, but, one part in her possession was the wrong part that Whirlpool ordered for an electric oven, not a gas oven! Since March 2020, three additional technicians have been sent out from Texas Home Appliance Center, and accomplisnhed nothing! As a matter of fact, the third Technician, Edward, came out to service the oven and all he did was turn the oven on! He had no instruments and did not appear to check on any other issues! Three visits from Technicians later, I finally received a call from a Whirlpool Supervisor, today approximately, 1:47pm CST! Her explanation was the following: The documentation from the so-called professional technicians stated there was no issues with the oven! Even though the oven is still not operational according to its specs! Theres even one part that is missing where Whirlpool ordered the wrong part, ac cording to the Technician. And, we never heard from that Technician again with respect to the followup on the missing part! The Supervisor I spoke with today ~1:47pm today, Dec 9, 2020, stated I was welcome to call again to place a warranty work order, but, if they dont find anything wrong with the oven, I would have to pay for the visit! This is ridiculous on many levels. I will be writing other reviews to influence the public not to purchase Whirlpool Ovens if this is the kind of Customer Service Orientation they will received. This is unacceptable Customer Service Orientation! I have a Whirlpool oven, where 3 techncians have serviced it, and, it still doesnt perform correctly! It still takes 30 minutes to cook a can of biscuits, and, they still required more time in the oven! Whirlpool states if the documentation from the technicians states the oven is working properly, then, Whirlpool cannot do anything for us - even though the oven is still under warranty! UNACCEPTABLE! Ive purchased my last Whirlpool Oven!

A couple of years ago I replaced my Whirlpool gas range because after seven
A couple of years ago I replaced my Whirlpool gas range because after seven years, the house was growing a gas smell that was becoming stronger. I called the gas company and they determined that it was the oven and not their problem. I called an appliance person who could not find the leak but charged me for the service call. Before I had him leave though, I called the gas company back and had the two talk. There was a conflict with their assessments. The service guy left frustrated. The gas company guy came back and again checked and told me that the oven is definitely leaking. He told me they use instruments, not soap, to determine leaks. With this, I was mad at the appliance company. After voicing my frustration, they were going to allow me to purchase a similar new Whirlpool freestanding gas range at a discount and deliver it for free. I relented and spent close to $600 for the new range. After installation, I realized that the quality was cheaper than my old one. The metal rods in the oven racks are thinner and less of them so they are further apart. The cooktop grates are already wearing and chipping. But the thing that has irked me the most is the burners. You cant adjust them to low for a long simmer because the flame goes out, not immediately, but when youre not around to watch it; and the whole house smells of gas fumes! I called the appliance store and they said that because I didnt buy an extended warranty and that a year has already passed, I would have to pay for the service charge. I called Whirlpool and they said that they have not encountered this problem with their stoves yet. Even while on the phone, I could turn every burner on separately and the flame would go out in a circular motion as I turned the knob to low. The only suggestion they had was to call my appliance company and have them look at it. I got nowhere and I was quite frustrated! These Whirlpool stoves should be recalled! Gas leaks are dangerous! I will never buy a Whirlpool again!

I purchased a 29 cu ft Whirlpool French Door refrigerator (WRF990SLAM) Feb, of 2013 from Lowes and have had nothing but problems since I purchased it. First, I noticed that the fridge sounded louder than normal. Then a few months later, ice started building up in back of the fridge. Then the most craziest thing ever started happening, the water dispenser started randomly shooting out water. Lastly, the ice maker takes forever to make ice. Still to this day, Whirlpool has yet to fix the problem. Funny that the technician said that theyve received a lot of complaints regarding the same issue for this model...so, I say you should be able to fix it then or replace my fridge. I have a 2yr extended warranty which states if they cannot fix my fridge after 3 attempts then they have to replace it. They refuse to honor that. Whirlpool and Lowes are full of crap!!! Whirlpool doesnt care at all that their products are crappy and their service is bad. They sent me a survey asking how do I like my product and I informed them of my issues and they sent me a response to purchase an extended warranty. Now, if they really reviewed the surveys, they would see that I have an extended warranty for 2yrs but regardless of that what about the issues Im having with my fridge? Do you not see my comments? If you didnt care you shouldnt even bother asking. Lowes pretended to care and made me believe they were going to replace my fridge but then sided with Whirlpool and said that they have to make 3 unsuccessful attempts to fix the fridge but each attempt has to be 30 days apart. Thats a bunch of crap because its been 6 months and my fridge still has not been fixed or replaced!! I have a Samsung side by side that I bought a year before Whirlpool and never had a problem with it. I bought it from Home Depot also, along with a stove microwave and dishwasher. I will be sticking with Samsung and Home Depot from now on!

I was searching online and stumbled across this site. Funny that there were so many complaints about the console on the ovens, considering that my issue was with the console on a dryer I purchased. I have only had the dryer a year, and it stopped working. There is nothing else wrong with it, no codes, no problems with the lights, or anything else. A technician came out and found that it was a small plastic and metal button piece that helps the press here: spot on the dryer panel to connect to the start button on the console. The little arm had broken and the switch no longer worked.Figured we would have to purchase a new button. NOPE, apparently we were told that we had to purchase a new console (over $200 dollars, close to $300 with shipping)???!!! We were also told that wear and tear can cause the issue. Wear and tear?? On a dryer thats maybe run once a week for about a year? Try again, I think I need my boots because it sounds like horse** to me. I think I will pass this information along to people I know that are technicians so that they can let people know not to purchase from this company because they obviously arent going to address the situation. I think I might also utilize social media to let people know so that they dont have to go through this much aggravation. I certainly dont know what we are going to do, since it took me a year to pay that dryer off, I cant afford another dryer at this time. So unfortunately with a new baby on the way, you wont get any sympathy from me if your company takes a character hit.

I bought my Whirlpool over the range microwave WMH32L19AS November 28, 2015
I bought my Whirlpool over the range microwave WMH32L19AS November 28, 2015. We started having problems with it, working intermittently one year later. I called Whirlpool in January 2017 and they told me it was out of warranty and it would cost $150.00 for a repair person to just look at it. I decided to just keep using the microwave because I only paid $232.00 for it and I figured after parts and labor if would probably cost over $200.00 to fix it. I called Whirlpool back in June because the microwave wouldnt shut off and even kept running when you opened the door. Whirlpool sent out a repair person at no cost to fix it. But the repair person told me Whirlpool only paid for him to diagnose the problem. I had to pay for the repair. After working on the microwave and replacing sensors and fuses he determined the microwave irreparable. I called Whirlpool back and they just told me that my microwave is 1 1/2 years old and they were not responsible after 1 year and I should have bought the extended warranty. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer model #wtw8200yw in August 2012. I just purchased a new washer today (Jan 2018) to replace it! We have had to replace the lid lock twice, then the cycle knob would only work on the normal cycle. Last week it started to sound like it was going to take off! Had a repairman come and the bearings went out in it, will cost almost $500 to fix! Not spending another dime on this junk! I purchased a new washer today (not a Whirlpool either!)

Whirlpool washer Model WGD4815EW1. Bought this washer just about 4 months ago and right away I hated it but was told by people that all the machines had gone to the lid lock and that the government had mandated the energy saving devices on the machines so the machine will only put just a little water in the machine. I have been VERY VERY unhappy with this machine. My husband figured out a way to bypass the lid lock mechanism. Then after washing clothes many times I found out in order to get my clothes clean I had to just set the dial to Bulky every time OR I had to wash the clothes 2 times to get clean if I didnt. Once we bypassed the lid lock and then I figured out where to put the knob so the clothes would come clean I was fine until last week the machine just would NOT wash or do anything... it filled with water and just sat there until my husband got the water out. I located a Speed Queen from an appliance store and I am much happier. It does not have the CRAZY lid lock on it. I realize that some children are apt to mess with the washers. But I dont have children anymore and when I did I had a laundry room with a lock up high on the door so they could not play in the laundry room. I dont understand why this so called mandate could not have been done in a way as to allow those with kids to have the option on the machine with a built in code device to set the machine so the lid will lock and those of us without children in the house to opt out of the code to set the lid lock. NO REASON why we cant have a CHOICE. As far as I see it is a way for the government to try control more where they need to keep out. The cars have been designed with safety locks for children to keep them safe, but it is up to you to choose to use them. Same principle! Now for the mechanism to make it so the machine will only put so much water in the machine to wash. Youre NOT SAVING any ENERGY or WATER if you have to wash the loads twice!! This whole mandated business with the newer washer machines is a huge JOKE on everyone. I will be searching out used machines and having them rebuilt because I dont EVER plan on buying another one of these newer machines. If enough people stop buying them the manufacturing companies can raise some cane with the government to get the mandate lifted. NO I will not buy another Whirlpool washer. I encourage some of you out there who LOVE a challenge to figure a way to change the stupid motherboards on the newer machines and create a great business for yourself because if someone else can create it you can recreate it.

I purchased a 40-gal Whirlpool water heater model 40t91-403 last week and paid a plumber to have it installed. The old one (GE 40 gal) worked fine except for a leak. The new one used all of the old connections except the 2-inch in and out pipes. Same connections, hot, cold and gas. At first I got about a quart of hot water and then all cold. Whirlpool changed the valve and cold water pipe (inside the tank) and still the same. They are trying to tell me that the tank is fine - I have a plumbing problem. Two plumbers have told me different, but still they insist. Yes, I am upset. The old GE, even with a leak, performed better!

Whirlpool Gold (Model No. GX5FHDXVY04), expensive French-Door style refrigerator , with bottom freezer pull-out drawer, purchased in 2010, has drain line that repeatedly blocks, causing frozen sheet of water on bottom of freezer and consequent leaking of water onto wood flooring (ruining said flooring). To add insult to injury, 5-year extended repair warranty I purchased specifically EXCLUDES drain lines, leading me to believe that this is a well-known problem that is costly to repair which is true because the drain line and pan on this particular model is nigh impossible to access without upending the unit (two people required) and accessing the bottom panel of the unit. This appears to me to be a design defect that Whirlpool should correct -- at its expense, not mine. I am currently reviewing possible courses of action, to include, but not limited to, BBB complaint and litigation.

So I called back and accepted but after getting off the phone looked online and found a washer that would be delivered on May 28th and it was just delivered no problem but now no one at WHIRLPOOL can find the subbed order to cancel and give me my refund from the out of stock washer... We have recently retired and moved into a smaller home. The kitchen needed to be furnished with all of the normal appliances. We bought two Whirlpool products, a refrigerator and trash compactor. Since we are living on a fixed budget, I was hoping that the furnishings that were bought would last as long as our past appliances did. However, our brand new refrigerator after two and a half years needed to have a new light installed. We called Whirlpool and set up for a repair. The repair was $290.00. We paid the repair man working for Whirlpool, then called Whirlpool and asked if there was anything they could do to help with the cost. They suggested that we buy a protection plan. Both of the refrigerators we have owned during the past fifty years lasted twenty plus years. This one only went two and a half before having to be serviced.Whirlpools answer to my request of helping out with this $290 service call was Sorry, you should have bought a service plan. I wish I would have gone with either of the same brands that we had in the past. Those being, Sears and Sub-Zero. I would suggest that those of you who are contemplating buying a kitchen appliance, choose a company that has a product that will go more than two and a half years without having to be serviced. Neither of the other refrigerators that we had ever had to be serviced. They stayed with the houses we sold.

I bought my Whirlpool Convection oven in mid August 2019 from Lowes. I have had to call no less than 5 times about my NEW oven which I am extremely remorseful of buying. I am so unhappy with my experience mostly due to my expectation that my new oven would have been able to meet my demanding needs baking and cooking. I would have thought that it would have lasted longer than 4-5 months. The bottom left hinge is faulty which I am told is an undocumented problem for this particular oven. I noticed that it was having a problem when the oven wasn’t quite making a seal. Slowly it got worse until now it makes an initial click then I can open it about 5 to 6 inches and then have to lift it up so that I can open it without making a horrible noise and a dent in the frame. The first time I called was on Saturday Jan 4th. It took me 1 hour to get through to speak to a person. I asked why I couldn’t get a new door to the oven and they told me the hinges have to be installed separately because this model is made to be able to take the door off for cleaning purposes. They set me up for service on Wed Jan 8th between 12 and 4p. I wasn’t as unhappy at this point. I even got a text saying that the appliance company would be coming between 12 and 2. At 12 when I woke up after working nights, I got a message saying that they hadn’t received the part yet and that there would be no point in them coming. I called Whirlpool again and they told me that the part was on backorder and that in fact the part had to be fabricated and it may take up to 10 business days but that they would have the part sent directly to my house. By this stage I am very unhappy.I called back this morning and told the person that I would rather have a new oven or my money back and that my less expensive and less decorative oven that came with my house lasted me 20 yrs. I get a lot of “I’m sorry” and “I apologize” but that doesn’t fix my problem. I also told them that now the frame of the oven is being dented so I am going to have a less than perfect appliance which is no fault of my own. The only info the person could give me is the tracking number of the part they were able to locate which would be coming Fedex.I tracked it and it was due to come no later than Tuesday night. So I called the original service company in my area who told me to call to set up the service time when the part came in. I figured I would get a jump on it and call. They told me that they were all booked up this week and I would have to wait until next week. Do you think that this is how your customers should be treated? I feel as though I am being punished by choosing to buy an appliance from Whirlpool. I then tried calling back to set up an appt with a new company but the wait time was too long. I had just worked nights and needed to get some sleep. I called back this afternoon and again had to explain the whole situation AGAIN. I was able to set up an appt with a different company for Monday between 12 and 4 which happens to be on Martin Luther King day…so I am hoping it is not a mistake.Do you think this is fair treatment for a customer who just bought a brand new oven less than 5 months ago? Would you like this type of service? Would this give you any confidence to buy products from Whirlpool? I don’t believe that I would be able to recommend Whirlpool in good faith. The people who I have talked to have never been rude or disrespectful however, I feel as though my unhappiness is just par for the course. I feel as though it is just my tough luck and “oh well so sorry” instead of the attitude that you want to make everything right as quickly as possible. I ask myself if the problem was the store I chose to buy from? If I should have gone to Sears and bought one of their products or where I went wrong.

Despite always using the designated (he) detergents and trying many different brands in appropriate amounts, this washer always leaves an ugly white residue on clothes. This happens all the time, requiring whole loads of clothes to be rewashed, sometimes more than once. This defeats the whole purpose of conserving water, which is reflected in our water bill. We also placed the laundry room on the second floor to make it easier for me with my disabilities. I am constantly having to climb the stairs when the machine gets unbalanced in addition to the extra loads from the residue. I was very excited to purchase this machine. Unfortunately, these feelings didnt last long.

Washing clothes is a nightmare. I am constantly removing clothing from the washing machine that have been torn and left with holes. I am utterly frustrated. Because the machine is more than three years old, there has been no solution to my problem. I have now replaced clothing items in excess of $2,000. I am always here that they will send a repairman and yet there is still the problem. This machine is costing me too much money. The newer machines have fixed the problem. There is no gap between the drum and the doorway or rubber piece. I want that piece to stop this nightmare. This machine has taken a dream of mine and demolished the experience. I hate washing clothes but more so having a machine at home and then going to the laundromat to stop the chaos with doing laundry at home.

This ref model # wrf736Sdam13 is less than 6 months old. The doors have never lined up. At the top is a 3/4 gap and it is 1/4 at the bottom. This is a side by side. Sometimes the left door will open on its own. If you stand to the side and look across the front, the left door sets out about 1/2. My wife and I have contacted whirlpool many times and they will not do anything. I am ready to get another ref and get what I can for this piece of JUNK. We built a new home and purchased all whirlpool appliances and do not like any of them. Will never buy whirlpool again. Very dissatisfied with all – RANGE, DISHWASHER AND THE VENT HOOD. PS, the vent hood sounds like it is crushing ice when you cut it on. Very, very DISSATISFIED with all of them.

I dont know how this ever made it past the thought process stage to become a thing but it needs to go away. Im quite cranky right now as Ive just spent two hours scrubbing my oven while reaching past the oven door that doesnt come off because its a self-clean oven. I have purchased in the past all Whirlpool appliances all at the same time. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave and I have had issues with every product after the first year, from plastic parts failing. That should have been made out of metal, to motherboard replacement. I work Hard for my Money, and when I need to buy a new appliance, I want truth in advertisement of what I am spending MY MONEY on. I would like a product that is built to last!!! If whirlpool cannot offer this we need to COMPLAIN all over the Internet until whirlpool changes their design and uses better parts for their products. I as a consumer deserve this.

Whirlpool Refrigerator model #GI6FARXXY0 - Bought this refrigerator at Las Vegas Store #3305 Home Depot, 12/07/2012. July 2014, the ice maker stops working. I replace it with another Whirlpool ice maker and that one stops and leaks water from the dispenser all over my floor. Im on my 3rd ice maker and its not working! I have no warranty but still...a refrigerator should last longer than this at these prices. Im trying to research problems with this refrigerator and it looks like now the refrigerator model has been discontinued! Cant find anything on it. I paid close to $1,800.00 and it lasted 1 year 1/2? Its turning into a money pit. My question is... after looking at all of the complaints concerning ice makers and water leaks on Whirlpool refrigerators... why hasnt Whirlpool addressed this problem with a recall?? Obviously, these ice makers are faulty even the ones you replace them with. The repairman told me there are no warranties and they would not take returns on them. Whirlpool knows there is a problem and doesnt address it. Consumers should be protected from businesses that know of problems and refuse to take care of them with customers. They are still selling faulty Whirlpool ice makers??? I paid extra to have a working ice maker and expected it to last more than a year and half for the price of this French Door, bottom freezer, refrigerator did. The doors look terrible as they do not clean nicely and leave streaks. From the looks of some of these complaints, this may only be a beginning of problems with this appliance. Totally disappointed in this product. I know I wont be looking at any more Whirlpool products. Im disgusted with their faulty products and no accountability. If theres a recall, count me in!

I chose based on the current ratings of the machines. They look nice and they can handle large loads. I think EPA has changed wash machines to be back into the 1920s. I put my clothes in and there is no agitator in the center. My clothes come out twisted tightly into little round circles or balls, not much water but now it takes over an hour to wash my clothes. So we are conserving water but using more power, I also have to iron sheets and clothes because they are so twisted and wrinkled. I used to stick my clothes into the washer, select a cycle and go on my way and now I have to answer 5 other selection options, if I dont hold the button in long enough it just turns off.Have we all lost our minds, I think this is going backwards not forwards. I have talked to other women and they agree with me, we HATE these new washer and dryers. The dryer is a little better but not much. Also the tops are concave so your laundry basket falls off, and you cant put your soap on the dryer which is where I am used to having it. Now I have to clean my washer every 30 cycles, iron and it takes all day to do the laundry, yes and they call this progress, really!!! I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio W10607 425A- SP and dryers Whirlpool W10680129C-SP, these are full size and have the steam options on them and are side by sides.

Each time he was able to get the water heater going again, but it would only operate for about 3 months and then it would go out again. To date, I have incurred $245.00 in plumbers service fees. My last call to Whirlpool was on 5/14/2013. This water heater was purchased on 1/25/2010 at Lowes in Evans, GA. It went out over the weekend, but the plumber was able to relight it. Whirlpool sent a new sensor and control valve to replace the bad unit. Here we go again, on 3/2013 - same parts same problems. The control panel is difficult to use. It’s much too easy to switch power from the top oven to the bottom oven without knowing it. In addition, the plastic cover over the control panel makes it difficult to use especially if your fingers have flour or oil on them. It would be much easier and more accurate if knobs were used to control the all the functions instead of a electronic screen. Also, the clock has never operated accurately. Always runs fast. Temperature of the ovens is pretty accurate. However, it does take a long time to reach chosen temperature. Both ovens are large and able to handle an 18 inch round pizza dish. Other than the control panel, I’m pleased with both the gas stove top and both electric ovens.

Handle needs smarter design. I purchased model #WRT311FZDM00 in November of 2015, didnt install in my new home till December. I am a single senior female, so there is little wear on the fridge, unlike a family of several people and with kids. The door handle actually broke just behind the screws that hold it in place, the plastic part of it broke into a couple of pieces. The cost to replace this handle is approximately $80, which is ridiculous in my opinion. Please start making things of quality materials instead of cheap plastic, especially at a stress point of a part. Even I know better than that. All 4 of my major kitchen appliances are Whirlpool, as well as my washer/dryer. I thought I was buying quality products. Hopefully things will hold up better with the other ones.

I have the broken part in hand, I know the Whirlpool part number, yet they want me to pay for a tech to come see the part and confirm it. Ive been unable to talk to a manager yet, none are available.Eventually the lady agreed to replace the broken basket, after telling me at least five times she could not, but she refused to replace the tub which was destroyed when the basket broke. I have owned a Whirlpool Cabrio HE WTW6400SW3 for two years and have had nothing but issues from the start. Control panel was replaced twice under warranty. Also the clothes (socks underwear) were under the tub blocking the drain. This is not covered under the warranty. I was told by the repairman that this is the usual issue. He told me they took the front loader design and just stood it up with no protection from garments and coins getting under the tub, through the under tub filter often and into the drain pump. You are kidding me? Almost $1000 for this washer and its so ill designed. I have read forums that this has been an ongoing issue for several years yet Whirlpool continues to build these. I dont vent to forums often but just now I finished removing the tub to remove 2 socks and 7 cents. Also, I had to remove the drain pump and found another 16 cents inside it. So far the pump has not been ruined but this time water is coming out from the machine so will probably be ordering another pump for it as well. The wife wants it out of the house tomorrow and not another cent spent on it. But it is only two years old. What do you do? If you are reading this because you are searching for a new washer do not purchase a Whirlpool! I have gotten nothing but grief and was put off by their customer service dept as well. I guess after fielding so many calls about the same thing they have been told to just put all the calls off as no big deal. I am sure Whirlpool is making a killing off the sales on this unit. The claims made during the sale convinced me. What a joke. Look around the internet and you will find hundreds if not thousands of the same issues.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator (WRT5L1SMYF00) in April 2012. Within 2-1/2 months, items were freezing on the shelves of the fridge box. I called Lowes & was told to call Whirlpool. I did as suggested & they sent out their service co. tech, Turner Consumer Services. I had all the same issues as everyone else in these reviews. i.e., food freezing where it shouldnt or spoiling when the stat was turned down even one notch. The staff at Whirlpool was as uncooperative as is possible. They smiled and lied to my face during phone calls - anything to get me off the phone. During the next 4 months (till Nov.), techs came out 5 times, never having the part needed on the truck. Always, it was my fault somehow that my stuff was freezing. Their chosen tech service employees were rude, condescending and without knowledge. Five service calls, 3 parts replaced and numerous calls to Turner & Whirlpool got me nothing but stalling tactics. I, too, was told that their tech had to fail the appliance before they could consider replacement - all lies. The tech, when he gets here, says hes not allowed to fail the unit. On the 11th of Nov., I awoke to totally frozen-up coils which kept the fridge box from cooling. We had company here from out of town. We moved out the new fridge, moved back in our 21-yr-old unit and got through till our visitors left. Whirlpool has been completely unresponsive to my appeals for some relief from this fiasco. I continue to receive requests from Whirlpool to purchase an extended warranty. Really? My husband & I went out to Sears and purchased a GE & have had no issues with it whatsoever. We are older, on a fixed income, and can ill afford to purchase 2 fridges in 7 months, not that Whirlpool cares. Not only will I never buy another Whirlpool product, but I will warn everyone possible to not buy from them. In fact, my intention is to use every possible forum, Facebook, Twitter, any & all review sites here in KC, MO or anywhere to put Whirlpool down. I am, however, considering one more expense - a lawyer.

I purchased a Whirlpool® 4.5 cu. ft. Front Load Washer with Load & Go Dispenser in 2017. By August of 2020 the washing machine was no longer working. The machine would continue to fill with water and not shut off. The machine would then give an error of E01 and F03 and drain all water within 5 minutes of the wash load starting. I had a certified Whirlpool technician come and diagnose the problem for $99. The technician said these error codes happen ALL THE TIME on Whirlpool washers. The technician tried to replace the water pressure switch with no success. He then spoke to a corporate office and was told we would have to replace the motherboard for over $500. The total cost for the diagnosis and repair was almost the exact price I paid for a new washer just 3 years earlier. I will NEVER purchase any Whirlpool appliance ever again.

I am a Whirlpool Privilege Member - IFB privilege number **. This is Mrs ** here and I possess two Whirlpool Fridges, one single door and one double door (Elite Model). In fact, all my family members have Whirlpool refrigerators because I recommended them and because I have had a very satisfying experience with your service until now.I recently (first week of March) logged a complaint as my fridge was not working (it was working on and off). The Mechanic from the service center visited us and said that the compressor was at fault. I had some doubt about this as the Fridge was working on and off and I requested my friend who had a workshop to come and have a look. He checked and said that the compressor was working perfectly but looked like there was some problem in the supply of current which could be a loose contact or something. So I logged another complaint and when the mechanic came (this time a different one), I was out of the country and my husband was there in the house. He checked the fridge and said the compressor was working and apologized for the earlier mechanic’s wrong diagnosis. He also said that it was difficult that since the wires were inside the beading or the Puff, or whatever, the fridge could not be repaired.I am really astonished and pained by this comment by the mechanic as we spent a lot of money and bought a fridge for its brand worth name. I shudder to think if this complaint had happened two years after I brought it, should I simply throw the fridge because it cant be repaired? Is there anything at all where the company can say it can’t be repaired? Are fridges used and thrown in India? I am all the more worried because I have been recommending Whirlpool Fridges left and right to everyone and I tell them that there could be a situation when Whirlpool would ask you to simply throw your fridge away. I still have belief in Whirlpool and I firmly believe my recommendations would not go wrong, and it is only the fault of the mechanic who could have made this remark unwittingly.

We have had a GX5fhdxvy 07 Whirlpool Gold French door fridge with bottom freezer that is approximately 4 years old. Since the first 6 months of use, so 3.5 years now, we have had continual problems with a flat sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer which then builds up and leaks all over our floor. Twice I have slipped, once banged my big toe to the point of cracking my big toenail and bleeding profusely, and the second time I slipped on my butt and really hurt my back. This is of real concern as one of my children has Cerebral Palsy and autism and could really hurt himself in our kitchen. We originally called while it was still under warranty and the technician said that we will need to learn how to defrost the tube that seems to be getting built up with ice. Thats the only way to fix it. We thought it meant fix it for a long period of time. After several months of this re-occurring problem, we realized that this is something you need to do very frequently, meaning several times a week. We have had no help from Whirlpool, they tell us that essentially it is our problem. They didnt even offer to provide parts. They were not interested in our problems and just asked us if we wanted to pay for a service call, and that was it. Now but what kind of service is this?? Clearly, after researching these products, this is a design flaw and a lot of consumers have complained about the the same issues. You would think that Whirlpool would have the decency and the business smarts to create a recall to solve consumers issues.Unfortunately, I am not able to purchase a new unit. This was an expensive purchase as it was… and we have absolutely no resolution to the problem. I have to say that after our injuries in our household, eventually someone will slip and do some serious permanent damage to their body or even worse, fall and sustain a head injury and perhaps even die. And although this may seem like a far fetched comment, it really isnt out of the realm of possibility at all! How long does it take for a manufacturer to respond to a flaw in their design??

This showed me what the quality of the joint was like under the gasket. I temporarily removed the other three (two heaters) to confirm what I saw: At the backside of the threads there should be a clean flat landing from which to the male nipple should tighten against (washer in-between). Instead, there is a disaster of a flimsey lip (washer-like) which is torn up and not anything close to flush. Bad Whirlpool! Bad quality control!

Cabrio washer and dryer are not energy saver by any means! Have had the pair for almost 1 year and have spent at least 3 years of washing and drying time with these. What use to take 30 minutes to wash now takes at least 48 or more and the dryer has to be run twice on lots of loads to dry! The other thing is, with no water in the tub it really does not have a soak cycle to get really dirty stuff clean, so you wash things 2 or 3 times! Now I know why I see these washers and dryers like new in the used stores for $200 to $300. Thanks for the junk Whirlpool.

The stove is only 5 years old. The oven would not ignite. The gas was getting through, but theres no flame. Sears repaired it and put a complete flame and ignitor piece at a cost for a part of $132.00. I feel the stove is too new to have to replace anything. I am retired, so I do not use the oven often. I have only cleaned the oven one time in five years. It is very clean. I picked this stove out and paid $900.00, because I liked the style and everything about it. I feel you should look into this, and I should not have to pay for repairs in such a short time of ownership. The repair person said this stove already had an upgrade in it. Please respond. Does the whole heating element need replacing or just the ignitor?

I had my entire kitchen re-modeled in May of 2013 and purchase all new Whirlpool appliances. I work for Standard Pacific Homes and purchase the identical appliances we provide in our homes. I am so disappointed in the refrigerator. Two months ago it stopped making ice and I was told to replace the filter and it would be OK. I did that and still no ice. I bought ice trays. A couple of days ago, I came home to find water on my kitchen floor coming from under the refrigerator. I called Whirlpool again and no real help.... Told me to call Lowes. I called Lowes and they gave me 3 more numbers to call for service. None of those service providers had any available appointments and told me to call Whirlpool. Meanwhile my refrigerator is standing in the middle of my kitchen so I can keep the water mopped up. The refrigerator was so difficult to move. Getting the feet moved up so the wheels could touch the floor took an hour and I ended up with bruised hands. My lesson in this is to buy a better brand next time and go top of the line. I sell these to our buyers at Standard Pacific Homes everyday..... Wish I could believe in the product.

Second diagnosed with similar same issue less than 2 years later on same model fridge. This is a rip-off from the company, absolute nonsense that fridge lasts on average 1.5 years with the price sticker over 2500$... Someone should put them out of business!!! This is scam not fridge!!! Stay away from this company, they are not what they use to be, NAME AND QUALITY IS GONE.

Purchased Refrigerator (WhirlPool Refrigerator WRX988SIBM03) 16 months ago and noticed the drawer with glass that house the drawers had a crack on the right side. Couldnt believe it was cracked after such little use with just two adults living in the home. Removed it and noticed this was such shoddy design. There is a heavy metal bar in the back with a piece of flimsy plastic that attaches to the heavy metal bar with only a screw attaching the plastic to the metal.I made attempt to glue it since it was only cracked but then the plastic just started crumbling into pieces like a broken cookie. Truly there is something wrong with the quality of the product as well as the design of having this heavy metal bar attached to this flimsy plastic. The quality of this part only leads me to believe what is next with this refrigerator. I am sure there is more to come.I contacted Whirlpool to see if they would replace but of course this is at my cost. Ive had inner parts of refrigerators break over years of use and they get old and busted up over time but this is a new refrigerator and once I inspected the part, I was disappointed with myself for not removing these inner parts and inspecting prior to purchasing. I would have picked up on the poor quality right away. Taken by the outside of this unit and its beauty, and not truly looking at whether or not the shelf can hold a couple gallons of milk. I am here to tell you there is no way this would have withstood the test of time with only a gallon of milk sitting on this unit. Poor design, poor quality and metal attached to raw plastic as it is a disaster.

When you buy a global brand name you expect it to work the first time around. If not, then you expect to have it exchanged not repaired. The microwave did not work out of the box. They made me take it to the shop for repair. I would have expected an exchange for another one and an apology from the quality control guy who should have checked it. Apparently Whirlpool (Mexico) doesnt give a rats ass about their customer base. Its all about getting as many units out the door with poor assembly and no QC.

Water began accumulating on the floor, dripping out of the freezer 16 months from installation. Upon investigating I found the bottom of the freezer had a solid sheet of ice on it. Water was dripping out from the back of the freezer and collecting until it froze. I followed a YouTube video that explained the problem, the freezer drain clogs. The video continued with a how-to dismantle the freezer to defrost the drain and drain the water. Apparently the drain is too small and the fix is a new grommet which costs approximately $27.00. I followed the YouTube video and TEMPORARILY fixed the trouble myself. This is a Whirlpool defect, aka, poor design. What is Whirlpool offering to customers to permanently solve this problem at no cost?

I bought a pair front loading washer & Dryer May this year and took Delivery in June. First problem was with touch controls. I should have Known then it would be trouble, they replaced it then we went home to Fl. - Aug. Returned in Oct - used the machine eight times total and it locked up with our Clothes inside in water. Called for service, was told it would be a week before someone could come, then was told after four days it was the mother Board and it would take at least another week to get our clothes out. Their Service is the worst I ever have dealt with. The whole house - we Bought Whirlpool based on the Maytags we bought for our House in 2004. Never a problem but those Maytags were Maytag - not whirlpool. I would never buy any Whirlpool Appliances again. It is sad because I try to buy American made to support our fellow Brothers and sisters in the work Force but now I will buy made anywhere as long as it works and has reasonable service. We called the repairman in who told us that Whirlpool knew there was a problem with their ice makers, but because they did not cause fires, they were not recalled. We paid $480 later for items that should last at least 10 years, not 3-5 years. We will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance and neither will any our family. I purchased a new Whirlpool stainless steel smooth top range model #WEE745H0FS and it was installed the day before Thanksgiving, 11/22/17. The oven door handle was broken on inside by installers. I called Whirlpool warranty on 11/24/17 and requested a repair. A repairman came the following week two days late. He said he needed to order a part. After calling the “Whirlpool approved” repair shop multiple times over the next two weeks, I was told the part was backordered. Finally, yesterday, 12/13/17 the repairman showed up an hour later than appt. time. He took the oven door apart again and the new part didn’t fit my oven door. He had carelessly ordered the wrong part. I was told he’d put a rush on the correct part and that it would be here 12/18/17. I will never buy another appliance from Kelley Appliance in Augusta GA nor another Whirlpool product. I have had to use duct tape on my brand NEW oven just to use the oven so it doesn’t fall apart when opening.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator, model MODGI5FSAXVYO, began leaking water from the freezer onto the floor about 3 months ago. We purchased the unit in January 2011. We had to keep a towel on the floor to absorb the moisture. Our troubles began after the freezer door was left ajar and the interior became quite frosty. We had turned off the freezer several times to defrost but nothing helped until this morning when I read the comments of Marea of McClellanville, SC and Ruth of Vavenby, BC.I then decided to begin exploring taking apart everything until I reached the freezer unit in the back of the freezer. I discovered a lot of ice with the ice blocking the drain hole which is supposed to drain condensation from the freezer fins to a drain pan in back of the freezer. Apparently, leaving the freezer door ajar caused the drain hole and surrounding area to ice up. Condensation from the fins would keep dripping until it overflowed onto the bottom of the freezer until it filled up with ice. The water then had nowhere to go but out of the freezer onto the floor. The simple solution to this problem is to turn off the fridge, empty out the freezer and allow the frozen drain hole to thaw out. You can easily remove the back panel of the refrigerator to see if water is then draining into the drain pain. Good Luck! Ed

Our Whirlpool water heater needs a burner assembly replaced. Second time within the warranty period of six years. Parts have to be ordered, so you will be without hot water for several days to a week. The worst part is reaching them. Between my wife and I, we have almost 4 hours invested in sitting on hold waiting for someone in three different calls. They never answer the phone. They give an option to call back. They never call back. Im so frustrated. No Whirlpool products ever again. Im sitting at my desk, hoping someone will eventually answer the Whirlpool line. I dont even have the part ordered yet after two days of no hot water. Who knows how many more hours I will need to sit here and listen to this music on hold. I called the company and they sent me a new one but it immediately fell off and broke also. It is just a terrible design. The plastic slots dont fit correctly and it just doesnt stay on.Then, a few months after owning the fridge, I notice rust spots on the bottom drawer. I called the company and a rep told me to buy dishwasher cleaner and a magic eraser and use that to scrub the rust off. She insisted that it must be near humidity. I explained that my GE stove and dishwasher, along with other stainless steel in my kitchen have never rusted. The Whirlpool company provided no help whatsoever and does not back up their warranty. I would never purchase another Whirlpool appliance after this experience. Now I am stuck with a fridge that has rust stains and a broken door.

We spent a lot of time researching to make sure we were making the right choice, found the one that was right for us. When it got delivered there was a problem though, the plastic scratch protector film they put on the doors for delivery left an adhesive residue that looked like dull spots all over our new shiny black doors. I immediately opened up the owners manual to see how they recommend removing this blotchy sticky residue, assuming we werent the first ones to ever come across this problem, unfortunately they only provide generic cleaning tips. So I went to their website and found what I was looking for. I tried all of the cleaning methods they provide, none of them even came close to working. So I grabbed some adhesive remover and tried that, it worked great to remove the residue however my microfiber cloth (which they recommend explicitly) started leaving scratches all over the finish.I called the customer service to see about getting a new door delivered, thinking this wont be more than a 5 minute phone call since I had followed all of their steps they provide both in the owners manual and on their website. Heres where I find out that their policy DOES NOT cover scratches/cosmetic damage, period. I tried reasoning with them, I had them read their own recommended cleaning procedures, and we both concluded that I had followed their procedures to the T! You might think that if the all of the typical procedures didnt resolve the issue, that would be the point where the customer service reps would have the ability to make a decision that satisfy the customer, you would be wrong! They kept telling me over and over that their policy doesnt cover cosmetic, therefore there was nothing they could do. It was delivered with a defect of sorts, how is the customer responsible for that? The only way I can see it having worked out in my favor is if I had never tried to clean it myself and immediately called customer service, I still fear they would have given me the same line of cosmetic damages are not covered even if I would have tried each procedure with them walking me thru it over the phone. Lesson learned, I will never purchase another Whirlpool product!

I bought a Whirlpool Partner II 5 and a half years ago. It was always noisy and took very long to run a cycle. It started to malfunction after 2 years. We bought a new computer for it and a new control panel for the touch keys. It still kept not running a cycle fully. We found a YOUTUBE video that showed how to reset the model by pressing a combination of Normal and Heated Dry and that seemed to fix it for 2 years. It has stopped working again. Now it seems that the heating element is out. It doesnt clean at all, a scum film has covered the inside of the dishwasher and even mold spots are appearing. Ive had to wait extremely long times on hold to talk with an agent. My option is to hire a repair tech to come out and repair it and I pay for the parts. [Model WTW6300WW0, Type 580] A few years ago Whirlpool goofed - they left out the Perma-press cycle on a high-efficiency washing machine model. We noticed the absence of Perma-press (or Casual as it sometimes now called) on the shop floor, and were assured we could arrive at the same results with the dizzying array of buttons that allow the consumer to tailor the cycles to their wash load. It turns out that it doesnt allow this. Buttons are disabled on some of the cycles, thereby preventing recreating a Perma-press cycle. No amount of prodding... Whirlpool has provided me with an override for the combination of a normal wash and a gentle spin that comprise a typical Perma-press cycle. On contacting Whirlpool about the missing cycle, they claim consumers no longer want the Perma-press cycle. Puzzled by this statement, I returned to the showroom floor to see for myself. All the washers have Perma-press cycles. Whirlpool goofed with this model. They left it out. They have not provided a replacement machine for a consumer who blows this whistle on their goof. Among the solutions their customer support DID provide: add softeners to the rinse cycle and add dryer sheets to the dryer to reduce wrinkles [by purchasing a high-efficiency machine, we aimed to reduce waste, not increase it]. Among their invalid suggestions: choose the Casual cycle [there is no Casual cycle setting on this machine]; choose Normal cycle, then set spin speed to low [this machine disables the low speed choice on the Normal cycle]; on this machine the Perma-press cycle is renamed Delicate [Wrong. Delicate only swishes clothes back and forth, not robust enough for business shirt colors and cuffs]; on this machine the Perma-press cycle is renamed Colors [Wrong. Business shirts come out too wrinkled on Colors]. There has been nothing I can do to convince Whirlpool that they produced a lemon in this model [Model WTW6300WW0, Type 580] and should replace it with a normal washing machine. I have tried for years, only for Whirlpool to come to the same conclusion: its the consumers problem now, not theirs.

This past repair has to be redone because the new parts are also bad. The part is now on factory backorder. It will be at least two months for this to be repaired. Whirlpool says its too bad, we just have to deal with being without a working refrigerator for months. Do not buy this product!!! Sent out a technician (mind you each technician has to come twice, once to diagnose and then to repair). They determined that all of the panels and ice maker needed replaced. Did so with no resolution. Placed another call. This technician determined that the compressor was bad. Installed a new one on April 10th. The fridge worked for 30 days. Stopped freezing and producing ice. Placed the 3rd service call. Was told that the new compressor was bad. Technician showed up on June 5th to replace it but did not have one with him. He was told by Whirlpool that they had discovered a wiring problem and that if the Serial number begins with K322 -K335 yours is one of them. We are K324. He ran a serious tests and contacted Whirlpool. I was told it is not in Whirpools hands. LUCKY ME NOT. My parents 89 and 76 years old bought a Whirlpool fridge a few months ago. A month after purchase fridge built up moisture terribly. Water was laying inside so much seeping on floor. We called, Whirlpool sent serviceman out. Serviceman number 1 put some kind of black tape in the door saying it was the seal. We were just disgusted over this and it didnt work. We called again, serviceman number 2 came out, said bad door, so he ordered door. Serviceman number 3 came out, replaced door. Moisture still in fridge, food isnt staying cool, and you can physically still see gap indoor. We called again. Serviceman number 4 came out and said fridge is not level due to floor in house. But nothing wrong with floor in house. This serviceman pushed on fridge said to my 89 year old dad and 76 year old mother and I quote, Put a piece of wood under this side of fridge. We will not replace this fridge. Now mind the fridge was delivered and set up by Lowes. So now this brand new fridge is no good and we have had no help whatsoever to fix this problem. So my parents whom have been married for 62 years with 5 grown children, 16 grandchildren, a 36 greatgrandchildren and 1 great great grandchild have promised none of us will ever look at another Whirlpool anything much less purchase a whirlpool appliance. Just for the simple fact of how a multi trillion dollar company will not stand behind their warranty nor name. We are disgusted with the whole situation. This is the worst experience any of us have ever had. So no I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone for the simply fact of the way my parents have been so disrespected by this company. Its horrible to know this kind of behavior is even allowed for employees to disrespect people. The Whirlpool fridge is warped, damaged from the time it was built. The warranty I hold in my hand says and I quote after 3 visits and problem not fixed fridge will be replaced.Well Whirlpool has been out 4 times and has refused to replace it. This couple has worked hard all of there lifes, lives on a fixed income and has just threw away money on a Whirlpool fridge they cant use. So now we have are in the process of hiring a lawyer. Its the principle of Good Vs Evil with Whirlpool. How whirlpool has refused to stand behind the Whirlpool warranty. So Like I said earlier I would never recommend buying any product that has anything to do with whirlpool. Shame on Whirlpool just shame on them.

I did not pay this for them. I thought I got a great buy at Lowes for the price I paid, plus their 4-year extended warranty. Whirlpool used to be a very high-end appliance manufacturing company. Now, all they put out the back door is junk. I would advise not to buy Whirlpool front end anything. My washing machine started making noise about 2 weeks before I reported it to both Lowes and Whirlpool. The noise sounded like bearing not being lubricated, which that is what it ended up being. The noise got so loud that even with all my very expensive electronics (my home entertainment ctr equipment) I could not hear the TV which goes through an expensive Yamaha AV Receiver and those expensive Infinity speakers 7 channel system. The main bearing for the wash drum assembly was bad. After two emails and several phone calls to both Lowes and Whirlpool, Whirlpool was going to send the so-called re-engineered drum assembly. The style I have is 3 parts; the new one according to Whirlpool is one part, but if they put the same bearing in, youre going to end up with the same problem in another year. I live in a condo of just over 920 sq. ft. so really there is no room to repair them in my home, but that is what they are going to do. I will be getting the new drum assembly delivered to my condo and have the repair company doing this dirty job in the middle of my living room.Living in a condo, I have a small utility closet next to the kitchen where the furnace, hot water tank, and washer and dryer are. The closet needs to have some areas cut out with and installed two small hinged doors on each side, so if anything ever needs to be repaired or replaced, there would be a little bit more room to move items in or out. The problem getting the washer out is getting the dryer moved so you can disconnect the electrical plug, cold water hose for the steam, plus the vent hose. First, you have to get to the water valves which are very hard to reach. Because of the way cluster housing is made, they squeeze things into very small holes like the faucets and drain hose are located. I was asked by the repair person if I could help him lift these items out of the closet. I have had 7 fusion back operations and #7 left me in constant pain that I take a narcotic drug for pain daily. So, I called Whirlpool back and said the repair people were only going to send a tech. I was told that it is a two-man job: one tech and one helper. So Lowes needs to authorize two people since Whirlpool is sending the new drum assembly for free. I wish I could have gotten a new washing machine with the so-called re-engineered drum assembly. I am still probably going to have to squeeze between the bulkhead (wall) and the washer and dryer to disconnect everything since I am a small person. If I wasnt retired, I would have bought a different brand front loading washer and dryer, probably Bosch and took the loss on these piles of Junk. I love my country and do my very best even as hard as it is in this day and age to buy US. I served my country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, just to see the civilians willfully buy Asian everything. So now, we have 4 Asian nations that own this country. I dont know why Whirlpool changed from a company that you could trust their products to a company that doesnt give a damn what they put out the back door. These companies still havent gotten the clue why folks buy goods from other countries. I think they need to open their eyes, but I guess with Whirlpool still being a company that is selling a very large number of appliances and making money off of us, suckers, they dont need to change. The only way they are going to change is if folks stop buying their junk.

I purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio washer three months ago from hhgregg. If I hit the lottery, the first thing Im going to do is take it to the dump and buy a new washer. There is no way to wash a load of towels in this machine. I started a load at 7:35 this morning and it is now 9:53 and Im still dealing with the drain and spin cycles. Over and over, I try to get it to spin out enough water that I can put the towels in the dryer. I should have suspected something when I saw that the washer even had a separate drain and spin cycle. It should have told me something. Its a piece of junk. Never again. Im back to Kenmore.

We purchased a Whirlpool Gas Water Heater (Model No. N40T61-343) from Lowes in the Summer of 2013. 2.5 years later, the water heater goes out as of 01/19/2016. Therefore, I contacted the telephone number on the side of the water heater in order to restart the water heater. We followed the instructions by pushing in the pilot button, as well the ignition button. To no avail, the water heater did not restart. I called customer service on Thursday (01/21/2016) to speak with a representative. She said that we needed another Thermopile and a Gas Valve replacement. So, who is going to put it on? It would cost as much as getting a whole new water heater. Therefore, we are going to Menards to purchase the Richmond Gas Water Heater. We had a Richmond once before; and it lasted from 1999 or 2000, until 2013.After reading all the reviews about this brand water heater (Whirlpool), no wonder people are complaining. Ladies and gentlemen, do yourselves a favor and not buy a Whirlpool Water Heater. The only thing that Whirlpool is good for is only their name. Their Water Heaters in particular are worthless pieces of junk. NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL GAS WATER HEATER AGAIN!!!

Never ever plan to buy a Whirlpool product. I took the washing machine in December 2008. System was not got at first time also. I called service center, and he came and asked to put this and that. Again, it got a problem. This time, he told me to change powder. I was shocked how a powder became a problem for its failure in washing clothes. Next, he told me to put a stand. After a long interval of 6 to 7 months, I got fed up and called him again. He told me it was not in the warranty. Its the worst service. Zero percent satisfaction Hats off to Whirlpool service. Please, friends, never buy cheap Whirlpool products.

Plate in front of the door that is at the back of the water dispenser bowed out. Company will not fix even if the refrigerator is not a year old yet. Said it only covers things like this for thirty days. Do not buy a refrigerator that Whirlpool will not stand behind.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer approximately 4 years ago thinking we were purchasing a top-of-the-line washer. The first year went great. I was very impressed with how it washed. My clothes came out cleaner than ever before; I loved it. But shortly after the warranty expired, one of the water pumps began leaking out all over the floor. We found out that a coin had passed through the barrel down into the pump and caused the plastic pump to crack with the high speed spin. We replaced that pump at a cost of over $100. We shopped around to find the part as reasonable as possible. The machine worked fine for about another 10 months, then it happened again. The new pump began spitting out water all over the floor. So again, we found another coin, another crack in the pump and again replaced it, another $100+. Finally, a third time, it was the same thing; the pump cracked due to a coin. This time, it was the pump on the opposite side, but still, water was all over the floor. This time, we ordered the part through Whirlpool and complained about this happening for a third time. My husband asked them about the Lemon Law and he was told that he would have had to purchase all of the pumps through Whirlpool. What does that have to do with it? We bought the pumps where we could afford them! The washer cost about $700 to begin with, and within 4 years, weve spent approx. $400 more? Thats not the end of it though. Now we are hearing loud noises and there is water all over the floor again every time you wash. This time, its not the pumps though. It appears that it has something to do with the bearings and maybe a seal somewhere around the barrel itself. But you can hear something knocking around - it sounds almost like a nut. We are going to call a local repairman to come and look at it tomorrow. This is just ridiculous. I feel like weve been completely duped over this purchase. The salesman talked this up like it was the cream of the crop and weve had nothing but problems. My last washing machine was a Kenmore and it lasted nearly 15 years and not once did I have to call a repairman or buy parts for it! Guess what Im going to buy again? If Whirlpool would just acknowledge these problems and fix them for people, it might renew faith in your company. I know I dont know the inner workings of a washing machine, but it seems to me that a screen prior to the pumps to keep coins from entering the pumps wouldve been a very cheap fix to a huge problem. I also own the Cabrio dryer and have hated it since the day I got it. It never dry things with one cycle. I always have to run it a second time. Knock on wood though, I have never had any breakdowns with that. I can guarantee my next buy will not be Whirlpool, nor will I pick expensive models again. I bought the cheap stuff years ago and it lasted forever! Im very nervous because I bought a Whirlpool fridge last year and I am praying I have no problems with that!

The space could be laid out a little better. The flimsy shelf is not real stable for foods or ice tray. Where the shelf locks into the side wall is not deep enough to stabilize the shelf itself. The flat indentations in the bottom, where they meet the front, have an edge that makes properly cleaning the freezer a bit difficult.

Whirlpool slide in range, microwave, dishwasher, KitchenAid fridge: All appliances, stainless finish, were bought with my home in October 2006. Range - Within the first year, I had problems with the outer plastic pieces breaking, the motherboard and the oven and broiler not working. The screws holding the knobs on fell out several times. The oven door was fixed several times this past year until finally it fell off and broke for good and now the oven does not work at all. Microwave - The rotisserie motor stopped working this past year. Dishwasher - Just after the first year, the outer shell of the door came apart. KitchenAid fridge - Within the first year, the temperature adjuster broke. The second year, the ice maker stopped working. This year, the ice maker broke again and the motor quit working twice already and all has been repaired. The freezer handle has fallen off as well.

My appliance is less than two years old, and it wont stop heating. I have to manually turn it up and down to heat water, which seems strange, since most or all of the complaints are because it wont stay lit. Mine stays lit (knock on wood). It wont shut off. A new thermostat costs $60.00 after two years? Please.

We purchased it from Best Buy. It was a good thing we got the extended warranty. They completely rebuilt it two times. In the 6 years we have had the washer. The motherboard went out. The bearings went out. The only thing nice I can say is that it’s a top loader and doesn’t get smelly like the front loaders do.

I got the works; the stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. I cannot believe all the BS you got to do to baby these appliances. If I had designed this mess... I would not be selling it. Every one of the appliances has a issue... the oven takes a long time just to cook toast. I would send them all back... but from what I have been told this is it. They all suck! I sure wish I had my older appliances back. I see the city dump in their future! I got the black stainless. Believe me I am not happy at all. The repair people have already had to fix or replace parts and I have not had this stuff for 30 days yet.
