Love the dishwasher, except the racking which has some top rack channels which are too small to be used by glasses, mugs, etc. The Power On/Off should automatically power down when the cycle is finished. Too often when someone leans against the dishwasher while opening the overhead cupboard, the dishwasher will start up because the unit was not powered down.

I bought a French door Whirlpool refrigerator. It is very pretty. But you always got to double-check to make sure the freezer door is closed. Almost all my house guests leave it slightly cracked because it does not close conveniently like other refrigerators. Water freezes up all over the freezer. It even freezes the fan inside to where it starts making loud noises. I got a chip ice out of this freezer almost every day. I even had to defrost it completely to get the fans to start working properly.

I purchased a washer and dryer through Best Buy. I had already decided on what I wanted and have purchased Whirlpool appliances in the past including washers and dryers. I tried other brands and was disappointed so I wanted to go back to using Whirlpool w/d. I was encouraged to purchase this set because it was on sale. Worst mistake I ever made. I am so disappointed! I wish I could go back and do over. I would have gladly paid more for what I had wanted instead of saving (supposedly) a little money. I personally think they were trying to get rid of these models because they are awful and I have had so many problems doing a job I already dont but this set makes it worse. The washer is constantly off balance I think because you have to be so strict in how you lay in the laundry to the washer! Now the dryer takes even longer to dry my clothes than my twenty year old set (Maytag) which wasnt that bad. Is there any kind of trade-in I could do model: WTW4900B to get the set I really wanted (the models with glass top on washer and glass door on dryer)? I purchased this in April 19 of 2014. I hate it!

7 months ago we had a Whirlpool dishwasher installed into our home. While away on vacation the piece inside malfunctioned and caused major damage as water filled the home. Whirlpool claims, that because it’s a part that they contract out to another company, they “Whirlpool” are not responsible! If you purchase a product from Whirlpool and they put their name on that product, then Whirlpool should stand by its product. Well... beware, you’re not going to compensate from Whirlpool! We urge you, make sure of whom the parts of the product your buying from belong to, before you buy it FIRST! Never again!

My 15 year old front loader quit working and was going to cost more to repair than we thought was worth it. So, we went shopping at Home Depot and based on discussions with salespeople ended up with the Whirlpool cabrio toploader. What a mistake. I am so disgusted with this washer I dont even know where to start. If there was any way we could return it we would do so. The clothes come out wrinkled, twisted, absolutely covered in pet hair and detergent and fabric softener residue. Yes, Im using HE detergent, in the correct amounts. Yes, Ive read the manual front to back. Yes, Ive tried all the troubleshooting suggestions. No, they dont make a damn bit of difference.I would give anything to have my old front loader back. It was a great little machine that did a wonderful job of cleaning our laundry. Pet hair was washed off, I could lay things out to dry and they werent all wrinkly and did not require ironing. Just about everything that comes out of this cabrio machine that I lay to dry needs to be ironed before it can be worn. It is just a horrible, horrible machine and Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves for foisting this off on unsuspecting consumers.

This washing machine started giving us trouble just a few months after purchasing. Have had repairman to our home 5 times in 3 years. I purchased an over-the-oven microwave in November 2020 (Model # WMH31017HZ). It worked until March 2021 then began tripping breaker. The Safety department at Whirlpool stated that I have to get a dedicated circuit. After spending an enormous sum to get that dedicated circuit the microwave worked until April when just opening the door caused a spark that the electrician and I observed. By now I am sure that I purchased a defective unit but Whirlpool was not believing it. (As as aside, expect to stay on hold for at least 10-30 minutes when you call Whirlpool).May 7th the serviceman from Guincho ordered parts that was needed to repair the oven. As of May 30th the part still had not arrived. Finally, after multiple calls and excessive hold time, Whirlpool agreed to refund my purchase price and as of this writing on July 26, 2021 I have not received it. In the meantime I purchased another brand microwave and have to look at their defective one until they decide to pick it up. They have lost a customer.

We just purchased a new fridge - September 2021 -- Whirlpool side by side. Why is just okay? It is a loud refrigerator. A roaring sound is pretty constant. The ice tray in the door has no recessed tray ... so water and melting ice just follow down the front of the door and onto the floor. Two days after purchase we went back to Lowes to return this fridge ... but all the other refrigerators do not have a recessed ice tray. And since they are not plugged in ... who knows if they roar.

Whirlpool appliance suite purchased May 2013. Whirlpool Gold French door refrigerator with bottom freezer, Model #GX5FHTXV. At the end of my kitchen remodel, I was excited to have my new Whirlpool appliances delivered by an authorized Whirlpool installer. When the refrigerator install was complete, I alerted the delivery people the French doors were not aligned properly. There was at least 1/4 difference at the top of the doors. They did their best to fix the problem to no avail.I called the Specialty Appliance store to complain and they had a repair man come a few short days later to examine the issue. He inspected the problem and had to order new door parts. A few long weeks later, the repair man came to install the new parts. Well, to my disgust, the new parts did not fix the problem. This next sentence only refers to the place I bought the darn thing. I then called Specialty Appliance to inquire about returning the appliance and of course they wouldnt take the appliance. Im stuck with it. The workman ship is cheap. The internal drawers are poor at best. I spent a good deal of money on what I thought would be a good product. My previous appliance suite was Whirlpool and I NEVER had issues the 13 years I had them.Whirlpool Gold freestanding double oven gas range, Model #GGG388LX. Problem: oven catches fire while self-cleaning oven. Big problem. Takes forever to get rid of the smell that leaves behind. The range itself has worked well. No issues with cooktop and its easy to clean. The grates dont stay black and look rusted in a couple of places. Oven cooks well as I know how to make adjustments as to not overcook meals.Following cleaning instructions provided by Whirlpool, I wipe out the oven (when cool) after spills if there are any. I thought I would run the self clean since Ive had the appliance over a year to properly maintain it. BAD IDEA. After running the self clean cycle for about 35 min, I noticed fire. Wanting to protect my $60K remodel investment, I quickly cancelled the clean cycle and watched smoke pour out of the top. Not a fun experience. It took about 15 minutes for the fire inside the bottom compartment to finally go out. Wont be self cleaning my self-clean oven again! By the way, I didnt clean the oven with chemicals because the owners manual states not to and I HATE using those chemical anyway. Again, stuck with an appliance I am not satisfied with. Lesson learned? Yes, I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool product again. Kinda wish I still had my old white ones...

4 years ago, we purchased a Model UMV1160CW-3 over the range microwave. After 14 months the door cracked around the handle and eventually fell off. We made the HUGE mistake of buying the same model for ease of installation thinking that this would be a typical issue. We purchase another duplicate model in April of 2016 and less than 16 months later the same issue occurred. Spoke to customer service on 12/28/2018 and they told me that they would pick up the cost of the parts but I would be responsible for labor which actually exceeded the cost of the microwave. Exceedingly poor-quality product and support. Will not purchase another Whirlpool appliance.

Purchased this refrigerator, Model # WRS965CIAH on October 3, 2014. Paid extra for counter depth. Initially the refrigerator worked fine. After about 9 months we noticed the food in the back of the refrigerator especially on the top shelf started freezing. This started getting worse over the next 2 months. When I called Whirlpool 10/19/2015, 800-253-1301, I was told by their representative that this was normal, that air from the freezer blows into the refrigerator through vents and to just re-arrange my food so that it is not pushed to the back of the refrigerator. I asked him if this was normal why wasnt this happening in the first few months but only developed later? He had no answer. I asked him if it made sense if this was normal then everyone who buys this refrigerator has to make sure their food is not pushed to the back of the unit, then why dont they state that in the directions for use??? Ok everyone make sure every day you push all your food to the front of the unit so it doesnt freeze ridiculous. He just said thats the best thing to do. I asked him if I could talk to a technician, if maybe there was a way to fix it manually and he said there were no technicians there. I asked him if he knew about the lemon law and he said they dont have that there... ok. The refrigerator is just days after the 1 year purchase so he basically said just to call where I purchased it that Whirlpool could do nothing for me. Is this how Whirlpool trains their employees??? Good job Whirlpool, way to go. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. Will see how the repair goes and report back. Did not call sooner due to health issues. Its not like the refrigerator is years old and started to break down - this is within a year. Whirlpool doesnt care about quality. Will never buy Whirlpool again and will spread the word as often as I can.

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine, model WTW4855HW, and was I ever shocked at how noisy it was. The wash cycle had a grinding noise that was just too much. After 2 loads I sent it back and didnt regret having to pay the restocking fee. I just couldnt believe that with all the technology we have today, that they couldnt build a quiet machine. Im an engineer so I know there are methods through gearing, belts, soundproofing, etc, to produce a quiet machine. Remember the dishwasher of days gone by. You couldnt watch TV with the dishwasher going. Nowadays, you can stand in the kitchen and have a nice conversation with it running. The technology exists. As a matter of a fact, my old Maytag that finally went bad after 10 years was fairly quiet. So, if you dont have your washing machine in the garage or basement room where you can close the door, dont buy this machine! Bruce in Portland

These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together
These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together which they attempt to do in a minute amount of water. They destroy the fabric, pull the seam out of shape, wrinkle them beyond the point of wearable, do not get them clean and do not get all the detergent out. I have had clothes come out partially dry. They also do not dilute the fabric softener, leaving unremovable stains on your clothes. In addition, they take forever to do a load of clothes even without the extra rinse you need if you want any hope of getting the clothes rinsed. The dryer is the slowest dryer I have ever had. The steam refresh that is supposed to get the hideous wrinkles out of your clothes does not put steam into the dryer. Instead, it sets the dryer to the highest heat so that those clothes you did not want on high heat are now getting it; then it shoots bursts, yes large bursts, of water on them. Your clothes come out a combination of still wrinkles and wet. If you hear of a class action suit, please contact me. These machines should be recalled.

This ref model # wrf736Sdam13 is less than 6 months old. The doors have never lined up. At the top is a 3/4 gap and it is 1/4 at the bottom. This is a side by side. Sometimes the left door will open on its own. If you stand to the side and look across the front, the left door sets out about 1/2. My wife and I have contacted whirlpool many times and they will not do anything. I am ready to get another ref and get what I can for this piece of JUNK. We built a new home and purchased all whirlpool appliances and do not like any of them. Will never buy whirlpool again. Very dissatisfied with all – RANGE, DISHWASHER AND THE VENT HOOD. PS, the vent hood sounds like it is crushing ice when you cut it on. Very, very DISSATISFIED with all of them.

Bought this microwave combo oven from Lowes. Went to change the charcoal filters, as specified by the owners manual, and the top cover and the side cover fell apart when I removed the filter cover screws. After two appointments the service tech came out for about 5 minutes to tell me that only mechanical failure is covered by the extended warranty which I also purchased from Lowes. The problem with Whirlpool is that they make the top cover, and some other parts, with cheap thin plastic which crumbles when exposed to heat. The repair tech said, Dont worry. Ill see what I can do. And then he left. Actually the warranty booklet said wear and tear is covered in addition to mechanical failure. Its inexplicable to me why any manufacturer would use cheap plastic for an over the range product. And I intend to fight this until I get this appliance repaired under warranty.

I was attracted to it by its simplicity in design and price. I have had it almost a full year and love it. I like that it has the deep water wash for over-sized items and a full-sized agitator. I bake a lot so my husband bought me a new gas range for our 54th anniversary. After the first few times I used the oven, I decided to clean it. I noticed then that there were some burnt grease spots and streaks between the oven glass door. After 2 years of use, it has gotten much worse so I decided to take the door apart to try to clean the glass in between the layers of glass but there are three instead of two. I cleaned the inside of the outer glass, but that didnt take care of the problem. Most of the stains are between the other two panes of glass. That, I cant get to. I feel that this is poor design and not sealed properly. I take good care of everything I own and I expected this range to last me the rest of my life but it is put together with cheap plastic parts that wont last long. It is the first new range that I ever owned and paid a lot more for it than any Ive had. I expected better.

Purchased a matching set, Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washing Machine and Dryer in November of 2012. After just over 2 years, Im stuck replacing the Washing Machine at my expense! The washing machine began leaking water out of the bottom of the unit and became extremely loud when operating it. The repair technician said it was a seal and bearing that needed replaced and the cost of repairing the unit would be cost prohibitive versus replacing the unit all together ($800+)! Originally paid over 2K to purchase these units and have them installed. I do not want to trust or rely on the Whirlpool brand again. I would appreciate any recommendation for a better quality, high capacity, HE washing machine brand to replace the Whirlpool unit with (Samsung, GE, LG)??

It wouldnt thread even though the package stated it was for my model. I went back to Lowes and they gave me another one, same problem. So I called Whirlpool, they said it was a left handed thread and they discontinued it, but they could send me a conversion kit at my cost. So at that point I was 2 wks out so I paid for the kit. I received the same thing I bought from Lowes. I was so frustrated I ripped the thing out and got a new one. That was 2 yrs ago and now I am having the same problem. I called whirlpool and they want me to pay for the replacement part. Mind you, the heater has a 6-yr warranty. I went to Lowes and they wont replace it. They sell items that they dont stand behind. They sent another company out instead. That company diagnosed the issue as a faulty chiller and ordered the part and told me they would be in touch. A week goes by with no working fridge and I call them. They say it will be another week for the parts. Two weeks go by - no call. I call them and they say they have the parts and I make an appointment. The day of the appointment I call them to find out what time they will be out and they tell me they dont have all the parts. And when I mention that I have been without a fridge and that I am frustrated that they arent calling me and that I am having to call them back the lady starts yelling at me asking me if I want to cancel my appointment. So I call Whirlpool and ask for another company. They send a company out that is not trained to be working on a sealed unit. So I call Whirlpool back again and they send an in house tech out three days later. This is over about a month without a fridge at this point. Their tech simply recharges the system and says that it should be fine.A week later the freezer stops freezing and the fridge warms up to the point that both are not usable. The tech comes out and diagnoses that there it is most likely the chiller because of a build up of frost in the freezer. Orders the part and a week and a bit later I call Whirlpool up to get an ETA on the parts. They say they have the parts now (no call??) and they schedule an appointment. The tech comes out and puts the part in almost a week later (2 months now) and says that it is still building up frost in an area that it shouldnt and calls tech support back and forth for the next two hours. He leaves saying give it some time to see if it works, but admits to me that it is likely it is leaking in an area that he cant access. So I call up Whirlpool and explain the situation and ask for a new Fridge. It has been two months and the tech by his own admission could not say he fixed the problem and thought the problem maybe somewhere else. After looking at my case and me being on hold back and forth for about a half hour the supervisor says that at this time I need to wait to see if it fails again. And that if it does I need to have a tech back on site to verify. So this will be the seventh time I took time off work, it will be the fourth time the fridge fails and that I will have to throw out groceries. When is enough enough. I am into this now for almost double what the fridge is worth in lost wages and groceries.Do yourself a favour and stay away from Whirlpool!!! If I have to guess the following will happen: five days from now the fridge will stop working again (when the Freon leaks out - same timeline as previously) and then I have to call for a tech (3-4 days) and the tech will come out, determine that it isnt working. I have another conversation with a supervisor asking for a new fridge and they miraculously agree (yeah I know). Then what two weeks, a month... before I get a new fridge. I anticipate that I will have been without a fridge for 3 months before it is all resolved. Ridiculous is all I can say. Whirlpool should be embarrassed.

I think the whirlpool washer is a very nice machine. I think it does a good job of cleaning but still has the tub odor problem that a lot of front load machines have. As far as reliability it has done pretty well but I did have to replace the tub bellow and it is only 5 years old. It also makes a lot of noise so it is not a quiet machine at all. The steam option on the washer is a nice feature but not sure how much it does to help clean stuff.

Do not waste your valuable dollars on this refrigerator. Not even 5 years old and have had nothing but issues with this fridge. The ice maker quit a few months ago, started leaking water from somewhere behind the wall panels and now the freezer door is frozen shut and the refrigerator section is warmer than the outside air. Did I mention that this refrigerator isnt even 5 years old yet? A piece of junk is a piece of junk and this fridge is a piece of junk!!!

We purchased our Duet in July 2010. It worked great until two weeks ago when the washer sounded like a 40-year-old washer. The bearing sounds like an extremely high-pitched “wrr”. We can hear it in the back of the house. I looked online to get parts and noticed that you cannot replace the bearing. You must replace the entire rear drum ($358.00). This does not include the labor. I talked with a technician, and they said the whole drum must be removed, not a one-man job, and to take the whole thing apart. Now, theres no price for installation. Lets go low ($200.00). Probably more. I cannot get a price nailed down without a visit. Now add those together ($558.00), I could put almost $600.00 into a washer that this could happen to in another 2 years. Wow.We had a washer that lasted us 15 years without any parts. Is there anything that you can do to help me? This is totally outrageous. Please help. Thank you. This was part of my chat to Whirlpool. Whirlpools response was I understand your problem but cannot help you. It is out of warranty. No help, no discount, nothing. I will and have all my friends never to purchase Whirlpool. This is from a so-called American company. Im very disappointed.

I purchased a Whirlpool front loading washer from PC Richards in January of 2010. The warranty was only for one year (the washer was new, not used). The model # is WFW9050XW. Anyway, the washer had to be repaired by PC Richards twice in the first year I had it. Once because the belt that makes the washer spin broke, then because the pump got clogged. Unfortunately, when you wash your clothes, your socks and underwear can get sucked into the pump. After that warranty expired, I purchased a warranty from my utilities company (PSE&G). I have had to contact them four times for repairs to this machine. The most recent problem is my clothes are still wet after the washer stops. I actually have to wring them out by hand to get the excess water out. When I contacted my utilities company about servicing the washer, I was informed that if the repair is more than the washer is worth they dont have to fix it. I canceled the repair and now got to the laundrymat. I figured if I wait until the end of the year, maybe the repairs wont seem excessive. I contacted Whirlpool about the problems and was informed that I should have been using a garment bag to wash my socks and underwear in. More or less the person I spoke with made it seem as though it was my fault the machine sucked up my underwear and socks. I, on the other hand, disagreed with her. I told her the washer should have been build so that it would not suck up these items. I was so totally pissed off I ended the conversation. I also informed her that I would not be purchasing any other appliances manufactured by Whirlpool or Maytag as they are affiliated. They obviously have no integrity when it comes to their product. However, I am totally baffled. Why do the Maytag machines work better and last longer than the Whirlpool machines? The washer I replaced was a Maytag. I had that machine for 17 years!!!!

I bought a Whirlpool washer (model wtw57esvw1) about 17 months ago. In that time, the same part has gone out three times. It happens every 5 to 6 months. The part runs 97 dollars plus labor. In the mean time, I am without the use of my washer. They say they are sorry, but they only cover their product for one year. After that, you have to buy their extended warranty so you can get it fixed by them. I feel that if I pay that much for a product I should expect at least 3 years without having to repair every 6 months! I have no washer. I am giving one star only because I have to.

I purchased a home in March of 2013. When I bought the home, I noticed it had a new Whirlpool 50-gallon gas 6th sense hot water heater model number ND50T122-403. It was newer and I thought it was a good selling point and would last many years. The original owner had purchased the heater in March of 2011. Three months after I moved in, the control valve went bad - 4 flash eco lockout. I called Whirlpool. They sent out the replacement part. I had to pay for shipping express delivery. Since then the control valve has gone out 2 more times, a total of 3 times in one year. On the third time, they gave me a return number for a replacement. I dont even want this heater for free. I am still required to pay for installation and additional installation parts. This product is terrible. Save yourself a headache. Do not buy this product!

We purchased this washer on 2008-04-27. It ran okay until a few months ago when it began making strange intermittent noises. This is now happening more and more often. I reviewed a lot of websites and see that this is a common occurrence for Whirlpool Cabrio washers, and Whirlpool will not stand behind it and make it right. Im going to write them a letter mirroring what Im saying here, and remind them that other appliances in my house are coming due for replacements or upgrades. Whirlpool and its affiliates will not be part of those upgrades going forward. I have no patience or tolerance for expensive **, which is what they put out here. I will have to purchase a replacement washer since this seems to have two major areas of failure, both extremely expensive to repair. I might check out Roper and see what they have--its apparently very well rated by the folks that work on these things.

Whirlpool - good price for pair. I have had this pair for over 10 years and they work good and are reliable even though they were not the top of the line models. Large capacity is a must - energy efficient is also a must. Discounts are nice to get but if not available I will go with a name brand. I want a washer with an agitator not one of the new ones that dont have one. Reliability is the most important factor so repairs are not needed. I want a full size washer with several cycles and all cycles have a cold rinse to save energy. Having a center agitator is a must - cant stand the newer ones.

I had my entire kitchen re-modeled in May of 2013 and purchase all new Whirlpool appliances. I work for Standard Pacific Homes and purchase the identical appliances we provide in our homes. I am so disappointed in the refrigerator. Two months ago it stopped making ice and I was told to replace the filter and it would be OK. I did that and still no ice. I bought ice trays. A couple of days ago, I came home to find water on my kitchen floor coming from under the refrigerator. I called Whirlpool again and no real help.... Told me to call Lowes. I called Lowes and they gave me 3 more numbers to call for service. None of those service providers had any available appointments and told me to call Whirlpool. Meanwhile my refrigerator is standing in the middle of my kitchen so I can keep the water mopped up. The refrigerator was so difficult to move. Getting the feet moved up so the wheels could touch the floor took an hour and I ended up with bruised hands. My lesson in this is to buy a better brand next time and go top of the line. I sell these to our buyers at Standard Pacific Homes everyday..... Wish I could believe in the product.

I am completely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio top loading machine. Our washing machine is less than one-year-old. It doesnt get the clothes clean, especially the darks, and it is so rough on the clothes that they come out twisted tied into knots. The dark clothes come out dirtier than they went into machine. Even though we use the dark detergent on the dark clothes and program for an extra rinse cycle, the clothes come out with white powder all over them. They need to be washed again and sometimes again. And sometimes they still dont come out clean. That is not very energy efficient. The clothes come out of the machine so wrinkled that everything needs to be ironed. I can imagine making washing machine that doesnt do its primary function, which is to get clothes clean. Todays families do not have time for this extra work.

Whirlpool refrigerator Model #GX5FHDXVY010, freezer on bottom. Ice maker broke within six months of purchase. Made loud noises, would not function to freeze ice. Turned waterline off and now use ice trays like the old days. Shortly thereafter, second unrelated problem started. Drain line started backing up and runs into the bottom of the freezer floor where it freezes into a thin sheet of ice, and then runs onto the kitchen floor. Have had the line cleaned out over and over again. Have been buying fridges for 50 yrs. and have never had this problem. Whirlpool says call a repairman and pay to have it fixed, but it happens over and over again. Whirlpool should come up with a permanent fix and pay to have it fixed. I had purchased a washing machine trough CSD canteen and go for AMC for five years on September 25, 2006. In September 2010, I lodged a complaint and the Engineer visited and asked for a replacement of the bottom cover. I said okay, but later on he told me that I have to replace the complete outer cover. I agreed and asked them to replace it. The cost is fixed for 2,500Rs. They replaced the cover but did not replace the bottom cover.I talked to the agency and they agreed to hold to 1,000Rs for the bottom cover and I paid to them 1,500Rs. Later they brought an old cover and I refused to replace that. They told that the bottom cover is not available. Then they never tried to replace the bottom cover. I arranged for the same from the local marketing for 600Rs and replaced it. I paid the service charge for the engineer.Later, I lodged a complaint that the machine was not drying the cloth. The engineer visited and told me that the belt will be replaced on payment. I agreed and he told me that I will visit the next day and replaced the belt. But he did not come until it was late.On September 18, 2011, with number DL0911018283, my machine was not switching on and I lodged a complaint to customer care. But no engineer visited me. Then I regularly complained but there was no response from the agency. On September 23, I talked to customer care, Mr. **, that I am going out of station and I lodged a complaint from the last five days that no engineer visited me. My AMC is expiring on September 25, 2011. I will come back on October and then send the engineer. On October 9, I reminded them that they refresh my complaint with number DL1011007031. The engineer visited and told me that the PCB of the machine is faulty and I have to pay 3,500Rs.I told him that I complained for this problem during the AMC period, hence they are supposed to repair my machine free of cost but he refused. I talked to customer care and tried to resolve the issue but I was not successful. Then I talked to Mr. **, the head of Customer care in Delhi, on October 12. He promised to resolve the issue but no engineer visited me and my machine is still defective. On October 13, I tried to contact Mr. ** several times but he or his PA is not picking up the phone. Every time we call to find out we spend hours on the phone. The refrigerator is a cheap version of the worst refrigerator made in China, the ice maker works ok but ice gets stuck in the chute and when it doesnt get stuck half goes to the glass and the other half to the floor. Poor design and we are stuck with it. Tried to buy an LG from Costco but it wont go through the door so again we are stuck with this small refrigerator with no room for groceries for two people. Stovetop is also cheap, only looks good the day we got the house, one of the burners would go off when turned to low with gas still flowing. Grates look 10 years old but must admit we cook every day. Oven will not calibrate and it is not accurate so we have learned to set everything 10 degrees higher to make up for the variance. Dishwasher had issues as well, unless you run it for 3 hours the shorter settings always have dishes or utensils still soiled. Warranties have expired after one year so it is now time to replace almost everything if we want decent appliances. Very disappointed but I blame Pulte for buying cheap.

My KitchenAid side by side refrigerator/freezer is a beautiful thing, shiny steel surface, gleaming white inside. However, its made poorly. The ice cube maker compartment broke and the replacement came without any installation instructions. It was hard to figure out and I broke it. Now, everything in the refrigerator is freezing and changing the temperature on the digital panel makes no difference. McKinneys appliance, where I bought it, no longer has a refrigeration technician and they referred me to Whirlpools 1-800 number where I supplied some information and sat in my chair on hold listening to music for a half hour before hanging up.The recording on the phone suggested their online chat where I was asked the same sorts of questions and was told I would get the answers I wanted by paying $5.00. I had no idea what I was getting into but I didnt pay, just terminated that inquiry. Feeling cheated by the company whose product I had mistakenly purchased. Im now running the risk of a technician visit, sometime between 8 am and 4 pm a couple of days from now. I have to be prepared to wait around all day for somebody to look at my refrigerator, charge me a lot of money and, from what Ive read online, potentially see the problem return in a very short space of time.

I have had a lot of washing machines in my life and trusted that Whirlpool would have good products. Well, with this top-loader, I couldnt be more wrong! I have never had a machine that just sloshes clothes around - at best - leaving them just as dirty! Our water bill has greatly increased on top of that - I AM SO VERY DISAPPOINTED! Unfortunately I cant return the bad merchandise since I bought at a Scratch and Dent store (just a dent on the outside does not interfere with performance...).

I have a Cabrio washing machine and the circuit board has gone bad. I understand from Whirlpools customer service that if your machine was made before 2005, they are fixing the issue. Mine was made after 2006. Even though the problem is the same, Whirlpool will not correct the problem. I was told it was fixed in the new machines. The circuit board goes bad and you have to start and stop the machine at least three times before it will start your cycle, then it stops again at the 17 minute mark and you have to cancel and start the machine again for it to finish its cycle. The error is F1. Customer service acknowledged that this is a known problem for the Whirlpool machines built before 2005 but deny any claim that is is happening to the machines after 2005. Looking at all the other complaints, it is still a problem. I am disappointed in Whirlpool for their customer service attitude and for them not standing behind their product and fixing a known problem. I have always bought Whirlpool products but going forward will be switching to a better company. Shame on you Whirlpool. For a machine I spent $1000 on, the part is going to cost $300 to fix.

WTW5640X The machine is tearing up clothes of many including mine. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought I had over-loaded the machine. Not so. There has been nothing run through the machine other than clothes and bedding. When I called for service 1 1/2 months after warranty is out of date I am told I can have a service call including parts and labor and another year warranty for almost $400. If it werent for the numerous reports online of the machine doing the same to others I might have gone for it. Shame on you Whirlpool. Are you the next GM?

We bought this washing machine from Lowes 5/15 and from the beginning have noticed that clothes especially dark fabrics come out of the washer with white fuzz or sediment on them. They need to be washed again and the fuzz isnt removed with a lint brush. I called whirlpool and they told me to use fabric softener. I dont like adding chemicals to my wash due to a skin condition. Lowes say they have never heard this complaint but clearly others have experienced this problem from the above reviews. Dont buy this washer. It doesnt clean your clothes. The only thing the customer representatives from Whirlpool wanted was to sell me an extended warranty. Why would I want that when the washer doesnt even clean clothes?

Sounding like a broken record, this washer is such a disappointment! I had high hopes for this top loader and thought I did enough research. Bought a Cabrio in Oct 2016 and have never liked it. They will have you believe it’s your fault... the wrinkly clothes, the clothes not clean enough, the white marks over all your clothes... you can’t change your detergent or softener enough and change the amount enough... it will still be there. So disappointed??? Want my front loader back!

I got a new Whirlpool dishwasher and it is totally unacceptable. Its supposed to be energy efficient and the eco setting, which is supposed to be the most energy efficient, takes 3 1/2 hours and does not do a good job, doesnt dry the dishes. Ive tried all the settings and some take over 4 hours. I have talked to someone at Whirlpool twice and they say thats the way it works. How can anyone put out a product that doesnt work and get away with it? I had my last Whirlpool for over 12 years and it took not even an hour and did a wonderful job.

If everyone would submit their complains to Whirlpool, they might do something about this. Submit your complaint to ALL of the followings emails: investor_relations@whirlpool.com media@whirlpool.com whirlpool_customerexperience@whirlpool.com B2Bdevelopment@whirlpool.com. Here is what I wrote to Whirlpool: Model: WTW7800XWO, Serial number: C02670320. I purchased the 4.6 Cu. Ft. Cabrio Platinum Top Load Washer in June 2010. The washer lid has broken 3 times now. Its snapping by the hinges. I have been charged about $300 per lid. I believe the hinges are not durable enough to support the weight of the glass lid. I have read hundreds of reviews regarding the same model and issues, I also have a friend who has the same model and is experiencing the same issues and has had to replace the lid twice now. Im disappointed that Whirlpool has not taken accountability for this and either issue a recall or replace the lid at no charge to the customer. If there has been so many complaints, why hasnt Whirlpool taken action on this? I am requesting that the Whirlpool Headquarters address this issue immediately. When I called customer service to complain about this issue, the rep informed me that they have never heard about this issue before. From all the reviews I have read online, it seems that customer service is telling them the same thing. By not addressing this defect, Whirlpool will lose thousands of customers. This is not the way to retain or have returning customers. This is the first time I have purchased a Whirlpool appliance. I will not be a returning customer if this matter is not resolved.

Whirlpool’s customer service is one of the worst I have encountered. They consider a 6-7 year old $1500.00 range to be old! I said to her, “Wow, if the population was to throw their Whirlpool appliances into the landfills after 7 years, this would be quite a horrendous situation.” I think its disgusting for a company to build appliances with a shelf life of 6-7 years and with only a 1-year warranty! What a horrible brand! I will never buy another Whirlpool brand product ever again. You spend $1500.00 on a range oven and then around 5 to 7 years the control board blows out and costs another $500.00 to replace plus a service agents fee to remove and install.I asked the Whirlpool agent if I could get the control board discounted and she refused and said, “I am sorry, we are unable to help you.” Pathetic! Their cost on these boards is around $120.00 or so. I was told by an appliance service rep they could discount that $500.00 board even half and still make a decent profit. Do not ever buy Whirlpool. Go with other brands instead. Their customer service policies are horrible. Your hard-earned money will be buying an appliance with a 6 to 7-year shelf life before major repairs.

I have owned a French-door Whirlpool/Kenmore refrigerator for less than 3 years & all the lights start flashing fast when you open the doors. Anyone that knows anything about seizures know this can set one off. Turns out its a common problem with the LED lights & you have to replace circuit board at over $100.00 for the part, plus you may have to have it installed. Best to stick with a $0.99 bulb you replace every 5 years.

We have owned our side-by-side model # ED5HVEXVB02 for just over six years now. The first thing that went bad was the ice machine (just days out of warranty). Over the next 4 years weve had to replace 2 of the drawers; they break really easily. Here we are just 6 years out and we are on our 3rd icemaker. This refrigerator is a lemon. I sincerely believe they designed an inferior product so that they could get you hooked. We probably would have been better off after the first issue if we had sold this lemon instead of spending all of this money and future money that it will take to keep this product going.

The refrigerator itself is noisy but thats not the problem. Most of my low ratings are because of the ice maker. Instead of being in the freezer it is up in the refrigerators area. It jams a lot, makes a lot of noise, had to replace the ice maker assy inside it already as it quit. Then the defrost water drain plugged and had to be cleaned out. Too many problems for such a new refrigerator. The refrig. itself works fine but get one with ice maker in the freezer.

This is the worst washing machine we have ever owned. We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set at Lowe’s in Loganville, GA on 04/11/2010. Today is 02/22/2013 and the transmission is shot in the washer. It began making an extremely loud and terrible noise during the rinse and spin cycle. We called a local and trusted appliance repairman, and after his diagnosis including estimate to repair the washer, it totaled over $525.00. This is a terrible washer. I will never ever buy a Whirlpool appliance again. Oh, forgot to mention we have purchased four (4) major appliances from Lowes over the past 2 1/2 years in addition to purchases for our plumbing business and wont do it again! Also, Whirlpool couldn’t care less and there is just one complaint after another for the exact same problem online.

I have been buying Whirlpool appliances most of my married life. Our most recent washing purchase is the worst machine I ever owned. I have ruined more clothes, rugs, sheets and towels, etc. than I ever have in my 45 years of doing my own laundry. In fact, I do not EVER remember a washing machine destroying any of my articles. I just pulled 2 almost new rugs out of the washer only to find they have been destroyed! I am pretty sure it is the extremely fast spin cycle that is destroying my items. I know it cant be the agitator because it doesnt move fast enough to even clean the clothes. And the stupid load sensor is absolutely worthless! It does not dispense enough water to even cover the clothes let alone clean them. Go back to the old machines that did their job without destroying anything and actually cleaned the clothes with an amount of water that I chose. I ABSOLUTELY HATE this machine.

We have all kitchen appliances from Whirlpool, but it is not what we choose, that was builders choice. We, two people, are living in his apartment for almost five years, and first problem was with oven - the window in the door it is leaking somewhere, then microwave - the all front door plastic is cracking (we using microwave maybe twice a week) and is it placed under the oven. Now we have problems with fridge - the plastic inside the fringe is cracking. We called Whirlpool customer support and Whirlpool do not even want to hear it about the problems - they just want that same authorized technician will came to your apartment to inspect these problems for $95, it is not even important whose fault it is. This company, Whirlpool really DO NOT CARE about the products, which they produce - as long it is sells... Now we just wait till all Whirlpools appliances will stop working and never ever look back to Whirlpool.

We bought Whirlpool Frontloader Washing Machine not over 1 month ago and it started to malfunction showing Ed1 error on its display. We contacted the service center and it was taking too long to have a visit from a technician. Then the technician, who also installed the unit came and checked the unit. He called someone from corporate office or from support team to ask what is error code Ed1 and overheard over the phone that this is a known issue on the brand. The technician said it is possible that unit will be replaced or only the motor. I contacted the brand support thru Messenger and requested to have the unit replaced, because again, the unit is not over 1mo old.I was advised it is not possible as replacement of unit is only applicable when the issue happened within seven days of delivery. STUPID ISNT? Policy is something unworthy for a product that is over 30k. And again, unit started to malfunction not over a month after it was first used. I would say we pretty much took care of the unit, we only use it twice a week. Placed it where it was perfect to put. Followed every advice given to us by the technician who installed it but still, it malfunctioned a few weeks after we started to use it. I am ashamed of the brand itself, we should have chosen Panasonic or Samsung instead not a dumb brand like Whirlpool. I certainly do not recommend the brand for a washing machine unit. Frontloader is a crap.

I am also disappointed with this manufacturer. I recently purchased an over-the-range microwave oven model KHMS2056S. Within 45 days of use, it quit heating. I initially established a service call through Kitchenaids web site, with the first available weekend appointment approximately 2 weeks away. When the contracted service represented arrived (A&E), he asked me for a cup of water and placed it in the microwave, along with a temperature meter. After running the microwave for 45 seconds, he informed me that microwave was not heating. This was the extent of his troubleshooting, only to confirm what I had already reported in my initial service appointment description. The next step was to order parts and wait another 10-20 days for a new service appointment. When I challenged the technician on this, he stated that they were required to verify the problem and check the model/serial number of the appliance. But these were also provided through the automated service appointment system. Thanks to Lowes who allowed me to return the item, even though the purchase date was outside the 30-day window. It seemed obvious to me this warranty contractor was simply creating multiple service calls to inflate the repair costs. And ultimately the consumer pays this.

This washer has been a lemon since the day we bought it. Always leaves marks all over dark clothes. Had to have a part replaced before we owned it a year & repairman from the company said they have to replace that same part every time they go out so they carry them on the truck. Latch broke after owning it for less than 2 years & now it no longer spins water out of clothes. All this & we havent even owned it 3 years. I had a GE washer for years when I first got married & had children. Never had problems like this. Paid it off on Monday & on Friday it became a piece of junk. How is Whirlpool getting away with this misrepresentation? I dont even see how they can call it a washer.
