I bought an whirlpool stove from conn store in 2007. The oven hasnt work right since day one. They send different people out to service it - still dont work the right. We smell gas when we try to light it. It wont come on 90 percent of the time, sometime we have wait a while to start it. They refuse to exchange from day one, we cant afford to throw our money away so we do more top cooking than bottom.

Refrigerator stopped cooling... Paid $200 to have it diagnosed... Cost more than a new refrigerator to get fixed...$14,000. Refrigerator was 7 years old, energy star. How can it be energy efficient if it was made to last only seven years? How much energy is wasted making new ones to replace the broken ones, that cost too much to fix. Energy star. What a scam.

Cabrios have an inherent F1 error problem, The company had an initial recall and fixed it once, but problem reoccurred about 14 months later. Company declined to fix it. If there is any type of lemon law on appliances, this would apply. I would not recommend this washer.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher and have had it repaired four times so far. Last time they replaced the main computer located in the door. I attempted to use the dishwasher tonight and it is completely dead once again. I usually have had good luck whirlpool appliances. After all these problems will no longer be using this brand. I contacted the store where I bought it from, Famous Tate. The first time it stopped working just a month after the manufacturers warranty ran out and they were absolutely no help. So in the future, I will no longer buy any type of Whirlpool appliances.

Whirlpool Dishwasher model # WDT720PADB. Replaced an old Maytag that was 12 years old; cleaned great but finally the pump gave out. From the first day that we cleaned dishes with the new Whirlpool, the dishes were not as clean as the old Maytag and totally wet even when the heated dry cycle was on. Repeated calls to Whirlpool customer service and two technician visits and still the same results. We end up drying every load by hand. Now after 14 months (two months out of warranty) only the silverware wash jets are working with all other zones inoperative. This machine is a plastic piece of junk and all it takes is one look at the cheap construction and components to say that Whirlpool engineers are competing with the Chinese made brands. This boat anchor is going to the curb tonight! Never again will Whirlpool get my business!

Whirlpool Cabrio washer - Do not buy this washer. I have never placed a comment on the web before, but after reading about the same problems over and over, there should be a class action suit. The spin cycle will not balance. You have to stand over the washer and readjust the laundry. I called Whirlpool and I was told to unplug unit for 5 mins. This is a $800 washer that lasted about 2 years.

In July 2018 I purchased a coin operated commercial front load 27 in washer and dryer. It was placed in and used in a six unit apartment building occupied by 8 long term adults. Prior washers and dryers had been operational for years with minor repairs at times. In June of 2019 the interior cement center balance on the top of the washer drum broke with resulting damage to screws securing the center balance and potentially other unknown parts. This was reported to Whirlpool customer Care service and they referred me to one of their a repair services. The repair service in about early August repaired the washer. In late September 2019 the cement balance broke a second time and this was again reported to Whirlpool service who requested I notify their recommended repair service. On inspecting the washer the repair service stated the entire washer was required to be rebuilt. The labor for installation of would cost me $1,125 with Whirlpool providing the parts under their warranty. The $1,125 labor cost was just under what I paid for a new coin operated front load washer. I reported this to Whirlpool whose supervising staff, without any inspection of damaged washer as to determine whether the washer was fit for its purpose when sold as a commercial washer, rejected any replacement of the less one year old washer and insisted they would only pay for the parts and I would have to pay for the labor, particularly when the both the cost of the replacement parts and the labor would be substantially in excess of a new machine. Due to time and effort constraints the problem was resolved by simply dumping the defective washer and purchasing a new commercial front load washer from a more responsible company.

Not even 3 years ago I purchased the very large capacity (5.0 I believe) Cabrio Whirlpool Washer and Dryer top loader set for my family. I have regretted the purchase since the first week. The washer would CONSTANTLY beep during a wash cycle, stopping the process saying it was unlevel. We made every attempt to make sure the load was even all around the basin and that the machine itself was level itself. No matter what we did, it would need to be restarted numerous times during one wash cycle taking sometimes hours to do one load. VERY FRUSTRATING. Now the washer will turn on, but it will not fill with water or start the cycle at all.The dryer has cost us hundreds of dollars in repairs, bringing the repair man to our house on a weekly basis for a while. Every time needing a new part. I have made a complaint on the Whirlpool USA Facebook page letting them know my absolute frustration as a substantial amount of other people have, and every one of the other complaints receives a comment back but mine. Although their complaint got a generic response such as, Im so sorry for your frustration, please email to the address below and we can look into your issue.I called customer service a few times to see if they could help in anyway...even asked if they could supply the parts if I paid for labor, and the answer was a flat NO. Nothing...I paid just about $2500 for this set and about $400 in repairs, and no help and no apology for selling me appliances that have not lasted even a small percentage of my last set that lasted throughout my teenage years into my 30’s. I am severely disappointed and ready to take action more now for the disrespect I feel as a consumer. I do not recommend Whirlpool Appliances AT ALL any longer...as they used to be a household item in every family member’s home. Now my large number of family and friends all know my frustration and will not purchase Whirlpool. I suggest this company do something to redeem themselves, because this is just ridiculous. No one has money to throw away like this. Thank you.

Initially felt the burners and oven took a LONG time to heat up, but just accepted it. After a year and a half, the motherboard died. The part alone was almost $400 and labor $100. The self clean does not work very well. Glass top is very hard to clean. It has a large oven space and looks nice, but would avoid Whirlpool at all costs following this experience.

Whirlpool serviceman came out to see why our brand new dishwasher didnt dry the dishes and left pools of water on glass bottoms. Repairman said all the new dishwashers are like this. The heating elements do not heat hot enough so that the machine gets a higher efficiency rating. He said the solution is to use the dishwasher during the day and at the end of the cycle, open the door so the dishes air dry. My previous 24 year old GE dishwasher did a great job of drying the dishes even when we didnt use the heated dry cycle! The only reason we had to buy a new dishwasher is because we bought a new house. I am very disgusted with the Whirlpool dishwasher. Might as well do dishes by hand.

This Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just does not do the job. It smells inside and does not get clothes clean, just normal everyday laundry. I usually have to put them through twice. It is supposed to be a water save, but I dont think it uses enough. I use minimal he detergent, yet you can see detergent residue on the clothes after they are washed, I think because there is not enough water running through to rinse clothes very well.

I purchased all new, upper end Whirlpool appliances for our newly built hom
I purchased all new, upper end Whirlpool appliances for our newly built home just 6 months ago, to include a side by side refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser, an over the stove microwave, a smooth cooktop oven/range, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a clothes dryer. We plugged in the new refrigerator, and after 24 hours of letting it sit and get cold, we bought $300.+ of groceries and filled our new refrigerator. We pulled the milk out hours later and it was warm, checked other food items and found them to be warm, too. I placed a thermometer in the refrigerator and it read 55 degrees. In disbelief, I placed a second thermometer in the refrigerator and it, too, read 55 degrees. Being brand new, only hours old, and clearly not working, I called for a replacement refrigerator. Our builder said we needed to call Whirlpool for a replacement. Whirlpool refused to send us a new refrigerator. Needless to say, we had to throw out all of our food for being dangerously off temperature, and we were less than happy about wasting $300.+ on food we could not safely eat, but glad we didnt have food poisoning. Not even the freezer could maintain a temperature below 55 degrees. While waiting on a repairman, we noticed that we were not hearing the refrigerators motor come on more than once every several hours. They sent a repairman out three days later, and he found nothing wrong other than a poorly fitting door, he said. He replaced the door hinge and told us our refrigerator would be cold in 3 - 5 hours. Well, it never did get below 55 degrees, set on the coldest setting. Whirlpool was called again and they couldnt seem to get another repairman out to fix my brand new refrigerator that could not perform its most basic function, which is to maintain food at proper temperature. Again, Whirlpool refused to send me a replacement refrigerator for this clearly defective refrigerator we were stuck with. We were told it would be 2-3 weeks before another repairman could come out, and then he would have to order parts after he diagnosed the refrigerator problem, taking another two weeks. We needed a refrigerator, like most people do, so we were forced to take this brand new refrigerator and stick it in the garage, not being able to sell a brand new refrigerator that wont get cold. Angry at Whirlpool for taking our money and leaving us with a refrigerator that never worked, we bought a Samsung refrigerator that we are very happy with - it works! After 2 months, our Whirlpool above the stove microwave has the motor turn on when we close the door, and it takes several opening and closing sequences to get it to shut off. We will be replacing this new microwave when we can afford to.Our ceramic/smooth top stove/oven, takes a very long time (at least 20 minutes) to preheat and the temperature in the oven is not accurate to the set temperature, according to my oven thermometer. The cooktop surface is inferior; it gets permanent water spots and it scratches very easily even though we use the correct pans and are very careful with it, and does not come clean easily. The surface feels rough, not slick like the GE Profile ceramic/smooth cooktop range that I had for 14 trouble-free years. I am using the same exact pans that I used with our GE, and we know how to be gentle with a smooth cooktop surface. After 14 years of owning the GE stove, the GE felt slick and smooth, cleaned easily, and did not have one single scratch on it. It looked as good as new when we moved, after 14 years of use. I will be replacing this inferior Whirlpool smooth cooktop range as soon as I can afford to, as well. Last month, right before Thanksgiving, our new Whirlpool dishwasher started making a really loud motor sound and quit working that day. It would fill water, drain the water and shut off. I once again called Whirlpool, and they were maddenly unhelpful. This time, they told me they would have a repairman call me in 5 working days to schedule an appointment to come and see my non working dishwasher. After 7 days, I called Whirlpool AGAIN, to ask why someone did not call me for an appointment. I was expecting a house full of people for Thanksgiving and I had no working dishwasher. I spent a lot of money buying these crappy Whirlpool appliances and am very frustrated. This time, Whirlpool told me that they could not find a service person in my area to service the unit. As if I live out in the middle of know-where?! I live 20 minutes from Austin, the state capitol of Texas! A 20 minute drive from the capitol building to my door! Whirlpool told me I could take my 5 month old, broken dishwasher to a repair shop and that the repair shop would need to call Whirlpool before they did any work, and that Whirlpool would only authorize a maximum of $150 to repair my dishwasher. They actually had the nerve to tell me that I would have to pay for the repair, and they would mail me a gift card in 6 - 8 weeks to reimburse me up to $150 on my new, broken dishwasher that is under warranty. I was furious!! Some warranty! The broken dishwasher is now sitting next to the broken refrigerator in my garage. I needed a dishwasher before Thanksgiving dinner, so I went and bought a Samsung.I realize that all makers can have a lemon, but all of my Whirlpool kitchen appliances are junk!! I will never own another Whirlpool product for as long as I live, and I will tell anyone who will listen about our abominable experience with Whirlpools customer service and the expensive, crappy appliances we unfortunately wasted a lot of our money on. Do yourself a huge favor, buy anything but Whirlpool! Thankfully, everything else about our new home has been great. Our new Whirlpool appliances will remain a very sore subject for year to come, I suspect.

In June 2003, I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Conquest Side-by-Side satina finish refrigerator (Model Number: GAS6SHAXLL03; Serial Number: SP1452552). The ice-maker has always had freezing up issues which I never complained to the company about. It has made weird noises (nothing major) but was already out of warranty. I paid $1,600-1,700 for it. I did not have the money to pay for repairs and I am sure that the repairman would have never found the problem. Two days ago, there was an electrical smell in the house. After an hour or two, it started getting stronger and stronger so my husband looked at the fridge. There was smoke pouring at the back of it so he pulled it away from the wall and we unplugged it. Surprisingly, the plug was not hot. Had I not been home, it could have caught fire, burned the house down and killed my dog! I am furious about this. When I called, Whirlpool says, That model is not under a recall. Would you like me to transfer you to service for repair? Really? Those big corporations dont care! There needs to be a recall on this because I have seen this same problem many times on blogs and forums. Well, guess what, I used to be a Whirlpool fan, not anymore! Now, I went and purchased a new refrigerator, and the brand name is Samsung! I recently bought a Samsung front loading washer and dryer and they are great. It looks like the Whirlpool dishwasher in my kitchen will be next! I bet Samsung makes a nice dishwasher.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer from Sears in April of this year. Here, to date, I had to call four Toms to have this unit repaired. I contacted Sears to have the unit replaced. I believe this particular unit needs to be recalled. Sears informed me that the unit must be assessed by one of their qualified/certified technicians before a request to be valid. I have concerns about this statement. Employees will not go against their company in fear of retaliation. In addition, I paid cash for the unit and now cannot get my money back. I’m dissatisfied with Sears and their values.

From the very beginning the washing machine did not clean the load. It doesnt even get the load completely wet. The best you can hope for is to utilize lots of fabric softeners to at the least make your clothes smell clean because they surely wont be. Dont even get me started on the load lock feature because it serves no purpose other than to drive you batty. When your 15 year old son offers to give you money to buy a new washer after owning the one you just bought there is nothing I could say more profound than that. I am on my second Whirlpool hot water heater within 7 years and both had a 9-year supposed warranty. Upon replacing the pop-off valve (at my expense), I paid $98 to replace the gas valve (part was issued by Whirlpool). Still having problems with pop valve and now the pilot light wont stay lit. Upon calling the number (877 817-6750) I was finally told they would replace the heater. When I stated that I did not want another faulty Whirlpool heater and that I would take the faulty heater back to place of purchase but that I wanted a local plumber to install their own heater, I was told that I had to have a thermal expansion tank or they basically would not do anything. Why would I want a third Whirlpool product? The second one is ruining my tiled basement floor as it is. So after spending over $600 for the faulty heater, now I have to spend $700 to replace it.

I purchased a Whirlpool electric range 18 months ago. Recently, the oven started overheating. The display reads Fault detected. Press start to clear. Pressing start did nothing and the oven door was locked as though it was in the self-clean cycle. We had to trip the circuit breaker to turn the oven off and allow the door to open. The food inside was ruined. After three episodes in one week, I scheduled a service call through the Whirlpool website. When the repairman came, he determined the electronic circuit board was faulty. His suggestion was that I buy a new stove since the repair would cost $425 (the part itself was $280). Not wanting to replace a stove that wasnt 2 years old, I went ahead with the repair. I called Whirlpool to lodge a complaint and although the customer service rep was polite, he basically told me that all electronic appliances fail sooner or later and the company will not stand behind this appliance because its out of its 12-month warranty and I didnt buy the extended warranty. He also told me the company doesnt have any record of this being a common problem or excessive complaints about these ranges. But I see many people on this site with the same problem. I wish I had read this site before I bought this stove. Since I cant afford to replace my appliances every year and a half, this will certainly be my last Whirlpool.

I did not purchase it, the stove came with the house. I like the flat-top... easy to clean. I dont like that any little spill causes a stain that has to be cleaned. I didnt shop for this one. Although I would have this as an option if I was shopping. Low quality would be a problem. I want my stove to last a very long time. But, I dont want to pay a lot of money for it. I have a Whirlpool, glass top (smooth top) built in stove. I dont know the model. It has 4 electric burners, of 2 sizes. It has dials to control the heat amount.

I apparently am one of the lucky ones to have an electric water heater. My unit started giving me failure codes during the Christmas holidays. Each time it would fail, I would get a different failure code indicating the upper element, the lower element, and a sensor failure. After testing all 3 of these components, it was determined to be a controller issue. After speaking with Chris on the phone, he overnighted a new controller to me. I installed the new controller and had no more failures. Hot showers for New Years! Thank you Chris.

Every one of the knobs cracked where they engage the gas valve. One gas valve came loose from the manifold creating a gas leak discovered by the propane company on a system leak test. Screws came loose that hold the tracks to the base for the slide out bottom drawer. The AquaLift cleaning system is useless. Better buy some oven cleaner and rubber gloves. Very disappointed! One star because 0 isn’t an option.

After 9 months of visits by the repairman and loss of hundreds of dollars in spoiled food, they deemed my fridge unrepairable. Then Whirlpool called me and said they would exchange my fridge for a better one for $688. My loss is now up to approx. $2000 counting spoiled food.

Called Whirlpool customer care for help with identifying make and model number of a slide-in, ceramic cook-top range (one of their popular brands). The representative was cordial, patient and very helpful when it came to giving me directions on how to locate make/model information on the unit. That was until I let her know about a recent problem with the stove. The edge of the cooktop is much too sharp! My hand got cut while wiping down the stove top/adjacent counter. Although Ive had the stove for a while, Id never had that happen before; thats probably because I used a thin rag this time around to do the cleaning. I asked the rep if anyone else had reported getting cut by the stove top. She said, No. I let her know that my goal was to just them know about the situation, because such a sharp edge on a cooktop is a safety issue. She disagreed. But what could or should she have said? In all fairness, it came down to balancing loyalty to the company with genuine care for the customer.I do appreciate how kind she was in communicating with me, but am very displeased that once Id shared about the problem she seemed rather dismissive of the situation. How could the risk of being cut NOT be a product safety issue??? If you visit the Consumer Products Safety Commission website, you can see where risk of laceration is a reason some products are recalled. Based on that understanding, I would say that sharp edges on a ceramic cooktop IS a safety issue!

I have a 1 year old Whirlpool washing machine (Model: WFW94HEXSW Serial:C04151969). The grease from the drum is found to be the cause of clothes being ruined during the wash cycle. I waited over 3 months for a replacement. The drum arrived broken. I ordered again, and it was then said to be on back order. The water shut off developed a slow leak, causing the water to fill, and flow out the front door, causing carpet damage. We have been forced to throw away good clothes, and pay to have our clothes washed, at a not so local laundromat. We feel it would be more than reasonable to have our washer replaced, and professionally installed immediately.

It spins everything into a tight ball so when the clothes come out of the washing machine everything needs ironed, even permanent press. It also changes the water temperature. I like to wash some clothes in cold water, but the representative at Whirlpool told me it will sometimes add hot water to make the water warm. Oct 14th I walked down to our basement to find it flooded. Turns out the leak came from the solenoid that controls the water feed to our Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator. Now, some $28,000 in damages later - floors/cabinets/walls/electronics - you name it. The repair company said that they replace these units a lot as it is simply a faulty design and Whirlpool knows this as this part is very difficult to obtain - too much demand. Well aside from the cost, the inconvenience, and the rise in our insurance rates the repair person said there was a good chance of the new part failing as well - it just cant take the water pressure as it is just cheap plastic. My advice - stay away from Whirlpool!

I had bought from S C Shah & Co, Mylapore a Whirlpool ac 1 ton split magicool dlx cop in March 2016 and installed in March 29 2016 by Cool Control System, kodambakkam From the installation period we had a cooling issue and informed Shah & Co, Mylapore where we bought the ac. They came and checked and informed Whirlpool customer care. Within two months i.e. in May 2016 of installation Whirlpool again uploaded/charged the gas (the service engineers told us this is due to hot summer). Though again we had a cooling issue, we were under the impression as this is due to summer as explained by the technician. After that rainy season came and we didnt use the ac.As we are in December when we complained Whirlpool they said this is due to the copper wire gas is leaking and it has to be replaced and informed that though under WARRANTY, the customer has to pay for replacement (we have used only the 3 mtr copper wire which came with the ac only. we have not used any our own copper wire). Whether WHIRLPOOL GIVES SUCH A QUALITY COPPER WIRE which has to be replaced within 9 months. Now they are informing that you are calling us after 6 months of gas charging, so we cannot service. If you could have called within 3 months we could have serviced you. BUT WE ARE UNDER WARRANTY. NOT EVEN AN YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.Not responding to calls, disconnecting to the calls even if we call their Delhi number 011-49308500. Though under warranty they are not ready to do service and very rude saying, we cant do anything. So, if we buy WHIRLPOOL ac we have to beg them even for their technicians to visit our place. Or we have to do our own service EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. Their local toll free customer care numbers/service executives always give a recorded message saying they cannot service. SUCH A PATHETIC SERVICE.

I would like to know if anyone else is having trouble with the broiler unit. The unit quit working. Thankfully I had purchased the extended warranty. The guy came out, cleaned the orifice and called it good. The next day I went to use it, and guess what, it did not work!! So we thought maybe we needed to leave the oven door cracked open a bit... Well, guess what... It melted two of my knobs!! We called, got another guy out here. He checked everything. Even pulled the stove out to check out connections. Then he informs us that you can set the broiler to whatever temp you want. Thats new. So again, we try the broiler.... Guess what... It got to the temp and clicked off. Now I ask, how does one broil a steak if it does that? I did call Whirlpool directly and got nothing. Our model is WFG361LVQ2. So please, if anyone out there knows that this is how it is supposed to be... please let me know.

Our original dishwasher lasted many years and did a good job until it didnt. We replaced it with this one that we found at Home Depot. It is not the one we wanted but the delivery was months away and this one was in stock. It does a good job in cleaning the dishes. The only issue I have is that the top rack is not designed for large mugs or glasses. The wine glass holder has 3 slots, but we can only get two in based on the spacing. Also, our mugs dont fit, well on the other side, inside the fingers. Maybe our dishes are on the larger side...I dont think so but like I said earlier, it does a good job cleaning the dishes.

I asked for a new refrigerator. They said it could not be replaced unless it was deemed unrepairable!!!! Now after 2 years with the same problem every 6 months I get in contact with corporate and advised to get an extended warranty because “they don’t replace refrigerators”. So an extended warranty will cost $350 this year and increases every year because the fridge is over 1 year old. Ok so I am paying to have it repaired with their so called warranty!!! Just purchased a Whirlpool top load with a Agitator and I am very pleased with the results. We never had any problems with Whirlpool products but this Cabrio should be taken off the market, faulty advertising. Talked to a Whirlpool rep and she told me to bunch up clothes and place around outside edges of machine for best results but did not see any difference. Do not buy this washer. You will be wasting your money and you will be buying a old traditional washer, with an Agitator is your best bet so you can control the amount of water you use. I have a double door refrigerator with a bottom freezer. It is slightly over 2 years old and has been in use for only 7 months of that time. We just got off the phone with Whirlpool service. They will cover the cost of the control panel and defrost control. The other one I paid to replace was only one month old and it failed again. In the time between that I had to have an Icing kit put in as the Ice maker was causing ice to form inside the back wall of the refrigerator. My first call to Whirlpool was very unsatisfactory. I ended up paying for the part and the service call. The second call was about the ice-maker and they were aware of the problem and sent me a repair kit for the problem. I still had to pay for repair service. So far I have paid $561.62 for their defective parts and service calls. This time my wife called (while I was taking my frozen foods to my neighbors freezer for the second time) and went through 3 people before being told the part was still under warranty and they will send a new one. When we pushed for proper service we got it. We should never have had to go through all this. We also lost over $300.00 of frozen foods. Never buy a Whirlpool refrigerator!!!

The washing machine began leaking water out of the bottom of the unit and became extremely loud when operating it. The repair technician said it was a seal and bearing that needed replaced and the cost of repairing the unit would be cost prohibitive versus replacing the unit all together ($800+)! Not digital. Was supposed to be a quiet running machine but it really wasnt too quiet. Its cycles were well timed. Was supposed to be energy star certified, but I have to say that I felt it could have been more efficient. It was a new dishwasher in 2007, but we sold our house & moved since then & currently we have no dishwasher. :( If I had to choose, it would be a Whirlpool, GE, or LG. Easy to use even though not digital. Hot dry or air dry, plus several cycles to choose from. All easy to maneuver through. Standard size, fit under countertop, replacing an older one. I do have to say that it did stick out slightly farther than I would have liked. It was black & easy to clean. The buttons & knobs were black as well. It fit in well with our newly remodeled kitchen. It replaced an older dishwasher that had given out. The dish racks in it were spaced great & the wash ability was great - you didnt have to have an empty space in the middle of the racks which provided more space for dishes. It was also large enough on the bottom rack that I could fit pots & pans in it, even cookie sheets. Many dishwashers dont allow for this. The one thing I would have liked better is if the silverware rack was in the door, once again providing even more space in the rack for dishes.

Whirlpool Gold Series French door, bottom freezer. - This fridge is beautiful. Thats as far as the pros go for it. The Freon is leaking and cant be repaired because of where the leak is coming from. I can always tell when its time for a recharge because it leaks water profusely when at a low charge (every 4 to 6 weeks). We paid over $1800 for this fridge back in 2013. It has been just over two years and we are now having to replace this fridge. I cant express my frustration at this point. Whirlpool wont do anything to help us. They told me, You are out of warranty, and thats all they have to say. Thats over a thousand dollars a year to own this POS when you consider taxes. Over $1250 a year when you consider the service calls along with it. I will not purchase another Whirlpool product ever again. Worst Air conditioner brand I have ever come across. My personal experience
Worst Air conditioner brand I have ever come across. My personal experience with Whirlpool Air Conditioner is not encouraging. I have used almost all brands of AC but found that the quality of Whirlpool AC is not worth recommending. Please stay away from Whirlpool. I got one Whirlpool 1.5 Ton Split Air Conditioner (Model 3D Cool Xtreme, 6th Sense Climate Control) at my house about 2 years back. I booked a service request with the Whirlpool’s Authorized Service Centre M/s Western Refrigeration Co., NOIDA as the Air-conditioner was not cooling to the desired level. On the first visit on 20-05-2019, the service engineer advised that the AC was not cooling because the gas had drained and the gas is required to be filled for which there will be a charges of Rs 2500/-. Believing him, I agreed for refilling of the gas at his quoted price. He sent next day some other attendant team for filling the gas. Those attendants revealed that in addition to the gas, two valves are also required to be replaced at an additional cost of Rs 1600/-. Though I had a doubt about the correctness of their diagnosis, there being no option, we paid for valves also. Accordingly, a total of Rs 4100/- was paid by us.However, to our utter surprise, the AC stopped cooling within a couple of days. Hence, the service centre was again informed. The complaint was again attended second time on 04-06-2019 and we were told that they have again refilled the Gas.However, again the result was NIL. The AC was not giving cooling effect. Hence, third time again complain was booked. The first attendant once again advised for only gas filling after thorough examination. He sent an another guy on 20-06-2019 for gas filling who then revealed that the cooling effect is not there because the condenser coil is leaking and the same will have to be replaced at an additional cost of Rs 5500/-.The following important points emerges out of the above:- 1) If there was a condenser coil leaking problem, why it was not disclosed to us when the AC was attended earlier by various Service Teams consisting of various attendants in the process from the same service centre? 2) Whether my all money paid earlier for gas filling and changing of two new valves will go waste due to wrong diagnosis by your technicians?3) Keeping in view the earlier wrong diagnosis, I very much doubt the present diagnosis and feel that this is a ploy to extract more money from gullible customer who lacks technical knowledge. We spoke to the service centre officials up to three four levels on the numbers received from the call centre but after listening the matter they assure to call us back. After no call back from their side, when we try to call them, they do not lift our calls. The above facts clearly bring out the cheating, harassment and looting by the Service Centre under the aegis of the so called prestigious company M/s Whirlpool. The hard earned reputation and trust of the Whirlpool is being impaired by these unscrupulous service centre. No punitive action appears to have been taken by Whirlpool office against the unscrupulous service centre for unfair trade practices. Rather the person from Whirlpool office over call was also trying to coax us to pay some more money to the unscrupulous service centre who has already cheated us and extracted money earlier from us with zero results. My Air Conditioner is totally shut off due to mishandling and misdiagnosis by the service centre. We are acutely suffering due to scorching heat and over and above going through the mental harassment for the last two months. We expected an immediate resolution for the above problem on top priority basis without any further additional cost however despite my number of reminder through their toll free number, mail id etc. the problem still remains unresolved and unattended. It is highly disappointing that despite my writing repeated mails with reminders no senior person from Whirlpool has so far taken cognizance of the grievance and the customer has been left in the lurch to be harassed by the highly inefficient, incompetent and indecisive service centre officials who have miserably failed to address the issue and satisfy the customer.

Every appliance Ive ever owned has been a Whirlpool product. I am on my second set of Cabrio washers and dryers. I havent had any issues with the dryers, but the washers are a different story. My first washer, bought in 2008, started throwing water and oil underneath while spinning. A service technician came out... I had to have the entire tub replaced seeing as how the bearings that went bad were in the motor/spinning assembly that was built into the tub. I moved in 2011 and needed another washer and dryer. I was told the problem had been addressed. Now Im having the same problem... the washer is so loud when spinning, you can hear it on the opposite end of the house with doors closed! Mine was made after 2006. Even though the problem is the same, Whirlpool will not correct the problem. I was told it was fixed in the new machines. The circuit board goes bad and you have to start and stop the machine at least three times before it will start your cycle, then it stops again at the 17 minute mark and you have to cancel and start the machine again for it to finish its cycle. The error is F1. Customer service acknowledged that this is a known problem for the Whirlpool machines built before 2005 but deny any claim that is is happening to the machines after 2005. Looking at all the other complaints, it is still a problem. I am disappointed in Whirlpool for their customer service attitude and for them not standing behind their product and fixing a known problem. I have always bought Whirlpool products but going forward will be switching to a better company. Shame on you Whirlpool. For a machine I spent $1000 on, the part is going to cost $300 to fix.

I count myself as lucky... my Whirlpool 465 Accubake Ceramic Cooktop stove was given to me. I have used it for 3 years. One day, out of the blue, the oven, which was in use, started clanging loud and jumping up and down. I started screaming & tried to cut it off & it would not go off. I ran to the panel box & threw the breaker. It also burned my food that was cooking. It did it several times. Then I decided to not cut the light on or touch the button to raise the temp. It has not done it since. I bake everything on 350 degrees and immediately throw the breaker. I am scared of this stove and plan to replace it. I will NOT buy a Whirlpool, anything. (washer/dryer/fridge/aircon)....once bitten...

I had water heater EE3Z50RD0550V installed on 11/3/11 and it started leaking July 29, 2013. Whirlpool gave me Return authorization # and said I have to return the water heater to Lowes (purchase place and original installer) to get a new one. Fortunately, Lowes said I only have to bring them the RA # and they will swap out the water heater. However, there is a $300 charge for installation. Whirlpool says they only cover this the 1st year, except when its a manufacturer defect. But they cant tell me how to prove its a manufacturer defect. Why else would a glass lined water heater start leaking only 21 months after installation?

I purchased an expensive dishwasher made by Whirlpool and sold at Lowe’s. Immediately upon receiving the dishwasher I noticed a good size scratch. I had it serviced within one month of purchase because dishes were coming out dripping wet. Technician came out and told me I needed to add rinse aid. I had been using rinse aid, which I think is ridiculous to have to buy an additional bottle of something that’s not even cheap just so this thing dries dishes but moving on...Now it’s been 1.7 years and I’m having more problems. Top rack of dishwasher is broken and falls to the side every time you pull it out. The door to dishwasher also no longer has any spring. I take very good care of my things and this just unbelievable. I called Lowe’s they won’t help because it’s been more than a year! I guess Lowe’s can’t stand behind their merchandise for more than a year because they know they’re selling garbage. I called Whirlpool directly and was told they would come out and service my appliance for a minimum charge if $189! I have no words. I need to buy a stove in the next week and I assure you I will steer clear of Whirlpool. Like the title of my review I feel absolutely robbed.

This $1,000+ Whirlpool Cabrio washer high-efficiency machine should have lasted between 10-15 years, not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5! To expect less is to fall for the consumer cave in - where you just give up, give in and buy another. The Whirlpool tech just told the appliance repair guy that was here that the repair would involve a recirculating water pump and a bearing, and would cost $481 to repair. The appliance repairman said he is not in business to condemn appliances, but said he has a Kenmore top loader at his house. Simple, no electronics and less things to go wrong. Well after researching brands and reading reports, I thought I was buying a machine that would last at least as long as my second hand Maytag. Whirlpool has not heard the end of me. I have heard several other people say the same thing. Repair bills are huge and machines do not hold up. So much for buying quality. Now Im going to contact the MA attorney general for the states implied warranty, which means if you spend your money on any appliance, that appliance has an expected lifetime of service. A $1,000+ machine is not expected to fall apart after a few years.

Water level is minimal. Went to the dealer Dufresne in Swan River, MB. They sent out a repairman which I paid for, I was informed many customers were complaining that these machines are nothing but garbage. I went back to Dufresne and confronted the sales woman, laughed in my face and told me to leave the store, I was totally taken aback by her rudeness, phoned Whirlpool, spoke to a woman who was very ignorant, I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me thats the way the machines are designed because they are made, DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES, NEVER NEVER.

We purchased our Whirlpool french door refrigerator with bottom freezer, model number WRF990SLAM02, from Lowes in August 2013. In November 2013 we noticed a pool of water on the floor, resulting from what looked like a leak coming from the ice maker. After contacting customer service, they sent a repair company to service the fridge. This rep stayed no longer than 5 minutes and barely looked at the appliance. He said this is a known issue by the company, they have since implemented a fix in the newer models, and it just needed one replacement part and would be good as new. It did NOT fix the problem, it continued to worsen to the point where the freezer is no longer working. I have a freezer full of defrosted food that is not safe to eat. Whirlpool finally agreed (after 3 months) to send another repair company to look at the fridge. This rep took over an hour thoroughly examining the appliance and concluded that it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced; otherwise, we could expect the same issue to keep recurring. Whirlpool did agree to replace the fridge, but has not been able to provide a timeframe. I was contacted by a representative from the product replacement line named Alisha, but she has never answered her phone I have returned her calls. I finally got a representative on the line who informed me I need to wait until I get a call letting me know the replacement product is in-stock. That was 3 weeks ago, and this morning I woke up to a huge water leak coming from the fridge. Whirlpool has deflected the issue off to Lowes, where I purchased it, and said they will have no further contact with me regarding the appliance. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again. They seemingly left a faulty product on the market and failed to inform me about the known issue. Then they failed to quickly provide needed repair or replacement in a timely manner. They also refuse to reimburse me for the food loss, which would not have ever occurred had they handled the issue appropriately from the beginning. TERRIBLE company.

I purchased a Whirlpool High Efficiency washer and dryer (Model WED4900XWO) from Lowes in March 2013. This washer has performed miserably. I dread each day when I have to use it. The groaning sound is annoying. My husband and I try to leave the house when the washer is being used. We have tried all cycles and combinations of cleaning detergents to get clothes to come out clean. On a regular basis white clothes will come out with spots or discolored to the point the clothes have to be thrown in trash. This is the worst washing machine I have ever used. I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio (washer and dryer) in August 2007 ($1800 for the pair). I love these machines. I have only had one problem with it (I had to have a valve replaced - about $380, the machine made a screeching noise when it filled with water). Otherwise, I have never experienced any of the problems listed above. I bought this machine because I was pregnant and chose to do cloth diapers. I was doing nearly 20 loads a week at one point. Now, I do about 4 loads a week (would be about 8 loads in a normal machine). I love that the tub is HUGE and I can fit 2 sets of double sheets plus towels in one load. My clothes always come out clean and near dry.I wash everything in it - even dry clean only using the hand wash cycle. Prior to this purchase, my clothes were not clean. I could still smell deodorant in all my t-shirts and blouses. Not any more. Its the best purchase I ever made. Although, Ive always wondered why you have to clean a washing machine monthly when... well, its cleaning clothes anyway.

My French door refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling while under a 5 year warranty. The repairman came out 4 times to fix it over a couple months and I lost the ENTIRE CONTENTS of my refrigerator and freezer 3 separate times! I am a single mom working at a non-profit agency and I had to take 4 DAYS off of work to accommodate the repairman. Finally the repairman notified Whirlpool it could not be fixed and I was told by Whirlpool that it would be replaced under the warranty and I should wait for a call back, which never came. I called back after a few days to speak with the Exchange department and Mindy told me that I had to pay $1600 to get the exchange! When I asked to have the call escalated she flatly refused! What kind of corporation is Whirlpool that would treat customers this way? Never mind that the quality of their products gets worse with every passing year! Made to break so they can force you to buy a new one! Ive been without a refrigerator for 8 days already and cant feed my family properly with no place to store food!

NOT Even a 1 STAR!!! We spent A LOT of money on a Whirlpool Smart wall oven combo. It has only been installed for about 2 hrs. My husband and I have been trying to figure out why all the features on the Whirlpool app aren’t working. Most of our home has smart features and is connected to our phones so it’s not the fact that we aren’t tech savvy. I finally gave up and decided I’ll call customer service line about it tomorrow when they open. It’s Sunday night so every number we call says it’s outside of business hrs. Then excited to turn on the oven for the first time I turn the oven on and the noise that the fan is making is so loud you can’t even talk over it. The oven has been off for 15 min now but the noise continues. 3000.00 for a huge disappointment. Not to mention the thing is HEAVY. So the thought of us having to remove it and replace it with another does NOT make us happy at all. Best Buy or Whirlpool WILL be the ones doing that. For the trouble and money spent that’s the least they can do. Also family is coming into town for the holiday. We made sure to purchase way ahead of time to be sure we had it, installed it and can use it a few times to get the new smell out of it. Very very upset, angry and disappointed. Now it’s been 10 more minutes and the loud broken fan still won’t even turn off. Now we have to shut it off at the breaker. At this point I don’t think we will be even exchanging it for the same product. I knew we should have bought a Samsung!

My new fridge is leaking large amounts of water on the floor, but it is not from the ice maker, as it is not hooked up. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator, model number GB2FHDXWS04, purchased in August of 2010. It was with good faith that I chose what I thought was a high-quality product, as well as, it was chosen because it was made in the USA and would be supporting US families, not China.Within one year, just as soon as the one-year warranty expired it began leaking water daily, all over my wooden kitchen floor, causing the floor boards to begin buckling. It is not from the ice maker, as it is not hooked up. Not only is my floor being ruined, but my one-year old refrigerator is not working up to standards, for which I chose the Whirlpool brand. My refrigerator has been maintained and operated by all instructions provided for this product.I assume that this company no longer wants to be in good standing with its customers, and refuses to make good on a major problem, for which a large amount of money was spent on a high quality serviceable item, by paying for the repair or replacement of obviously defective parts, or by the replacement of the entire refrigerator.

I purchased this machine in April 2011. Adequate performance until this past fall. It did not drain properly and began to smell, then stopped working. I called a local certified repairman who discovered an item of clothing trapped beneath the basket blocking the drain pump. $109.00. Less than 2 months later it happened again. The repairman returned and again found a blocked drive shaft under the basket. $109.00. When it happened a third time I called the Whirlpool repair line. A serviceman was sent out and immediately knew what the problem was (prior experience). He removed the basket and once again there was an article of clothing under the basket, blocking the drain pump - $129.00. At this moment it is beginning to smell again. I spent 40 minutes on the phone this morning with Sears and Whirlpool. No help whatsoever. This machine is not even 3 years old. I never overload it and clean it regularly. I bought the washer and dryer as a set because they are quite visible in my home. I have had Whirlpool products for over 40 years and never had a problem. I need someone to stand behind this machine.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRX9885IBM01 French Doors - We purchased this $2,000+ dollar refrigerator in December of 2014 and within two weeks of plugging it in, we noticed the freezer drawer was crooked and ice crystals in the freezer compartment. We contacted Whirlpool re the matter and they dispatched a local serviceman. He informed us that the inner lining of the refrigerator was crooked and he contacted Whirlpool. He sent pictures of the crooked drawers and was advised by Whirlpool to adjust the outside door, but nothing could be done for the inside crookedness and that he was to take silicone and seal the refrigerator to prevent air coming in to create the ice... Really? We told him that was merely a Band-Aid to the problems and we wanted a replacement. According to Whirlpool, they can only service our month old refrigerator and cannot replace it.Actually, they cannot even service the defective product they sell, they can only caulk the problem until it comes again. I am not going to stop until everybody in the country buying a refrigerator thinks first about the warranty Whirlpool offers. After reading defective parts, etc., I am amazed they are still in business! We are contacting Lowes to come pick it up! Let them deal with the garbage they are selling!

A disaster from start to finish. I would give it zero stars if possible. Purchased from Home Depot online in September, 2020. The first delivery was scheduled for October 11, 2020 at 7am on a Sunday. I spent hours on the phone trying to get the time changed. I was assured it would take place later. That didnt happen. The delivery service Temco called at 6:30a and refused to come back later. I had to make a new appointment. A week later they delivered the dishwasher, left it on the porch, refused to uncrate it or bring it inside the house, refused to haul away the old machine and stole the Dishwasher parts kit that I had paid for which delayed installing the dishwasher. After the machine was installed I discovered the machine did not come with a manual. I was told I had to download and print the manual. When I complained that I should not have to use my paper and ink to print a users manual after paying $800 for a dishwasher. I was promised a check to offset my costs. I was supposed to get a credit for my inconvenience but that never happened either. The first time I ran the machine using the one hour cycle water was all over the machine and I had to dry inside. I was told that I had to use a longer wash cycle so I did the second time. After 4 hours of washing, the glasses had a film on them, even though I rinse the dishes before putting them in the machine the dishes had some debris on them and water had still collected on the top of the glasses.Whirlpool sent a repair company out and the technician said motor pump and display control were faulty and it would probably be cheaper to replace the dishwasher rather than repair it. I was told I would get an email the next day telling me what would happen. I never got the email. During the week I called Whirlpool and Home Depot many times to complain about the faulty dishwasher, stolen parts and the promised refunds for my inconvenience as well as having to print the manual. Calling Whirlpool or Home Depot customer care will take hours and gets you nowhere. A week after the repair person came out I called the repair company to request a report as to what had been done and was told that they were coming back out the following Monday to fix the machine again. Monday, The repair technician came out and replaced the control panel but not the pump. The machine wont heat up to dry the dishes--the heating coil wasnt even warm after being on for 8 min. I am supposed to be contacted again for a 3rd visit!! I have a dishwasher that is faulty (read lemon) and Home Depot wont allow me to return it because their return policy is 48 hours after delivery. Whirlpool refuses to replace it unless the technician says it cant be fixed. Obviously, that will never happen. I should have repaired my old dishwasher rather than waste my money on this horrible machine. Whirlpool used to make fine products but those days are over. How does running a dishwasher for four hours saving energy? My old over 10 year old Whirlpool dishwasher was perfect until the pump broke. The dishes were always clean, dry and came out of the machine hot and sanitized. I am so disappointed in both Whirlpool and Home Depot.

We bought our Whirlpool Refrigerator a little over three years ago. Within a few months we started having problems with the unit. From ice maker issues, cooling and freezing. Initially the frig was covered under Whirlpools 1 year warranty. Then our extended 3 year warranty kicked in through HH Gregg which they supplied for free because of their poor handling of the initial sale. We have lost track in how many times a repair man has come out to work on the refrigerator. In the last year alone its been at least 8 times. The most recent problem had been the freezer not defrosting properly to the point where we had to store food in our neighbors freezer. The repairman has tried everything he knows and is stumped. Well our extended warranty has run out but theyll continue to work on the problem as long as we report the issue within 30 days which creates a whole different set of issues. The extended warranty states they will replace the refrigerator if it has the same problem 3 times. However what they dont tell you is that if you call BEFORE 3 time period its considered a recall and that doesnt count towards the 3 strike rule. We contacted Whirlpool and they wont cover the refrigerator because the repair company isnt on their approved list. Really a Sears repairman isnt approved? So buyer beware of a lemon Whirlpool Frig! They seem to have a way of not covering their product.

If I could give Whirlpool products and their customer service zero stars, I would! We built our beautiful home that was complete in June 2015. Our builder was installing Whirlpool products in the homes he was building at the time. So we decided to accept the microwave, dishwasher and drop in gas range that he offered. We had never had Whirlpool kitchen appliances and no reason to respectfully decline the brand. We bought a french door Whirlpool refrigerator as well so the handles would match our open concept kitchen. In addition to the poor quality overall, the microwave makes a terrible buzzing noise that has been fixed two times thus far. The refrigerator is so loud at times that its difficult to hear the television when sitting in the living room. The dishwasher does not dry the dishes on any setting to include heat dry hours and hours after the cycle is complete. This forces us to hand dry our dishes prior to putting them in the cupboard. The cast-iron grates on the drop in range already look terrible because the enamel is coming off. I clean all the appliances as recommended by Whirlpool and like to keep our home beautiful because it is our place of solace and comfort. As stated prior, our kitchen and living room are open concept so I now have to contend with an eyesore in the middle of our homes hub because Whirlpool considers this manufacturing flaw as cosmetic and wont cover it under warranty. To add insult to injury, these poor quality products are the higher end available from Whirlpool. We plan to wait for the year end warranty to expire and replace the four appliances with a brand that has always offered excellent customer service and has been very reliable and trustworthy for us. As a consumer, I would save yourselves the agony of purchasing any Whirlpool appliances!!!

CABRIO GETS A ZERO RATING. We are sorry we ever bought this washer in 08. The unit had a defective main control board and was replaced in 2012. The factory authorized service agent from A&E literally robbed us of jewelry while in our home. Now the main electronic control board needs to be replaced again. Neither Whirlpool or their authorized agents are truly customer service oriented on the defective product. Neither are willing to make an honest attempt at regaining our trust. I have contacted both and neither will acknowledge or offer reconciliation. The problem with the main board and the recurrent F-50 error has been denied by Whirlpool although acknowledged in numerous consumer forums as this. Our family is now without a wash machine. To Whirlpool Headquarters, Our message to those whom wish to listen is that your product is only as good as the service company you employ to handle service and repairs. Our most recent experience with A&E Factory Service has us convinced we will never buy Whirlpool appliances again. After a two week wait for our scheduled appointment we were dealt a most unprofessional diagnosis as to what may be the problem and then told that to service our appliance would result in overtime and that simply wouldnt be happening at this visit. The appointment time was 12 to 4 PM the repairmen was here at 2:30 pm only for five minutes. We have spoken with a Michael ** with your company who advised us to wait for a call from A&E which no call was ever received. We are level headed and fair people just not able to grasp that a company as big as yours cant do better than this.

When I moved into my current home, this dishwasher(Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) was already installed. It had never been used until I moved in. After two years of 2-3 times a week use, I have major problems. It will not complete a wash cycle, regardless of what settings I use. It runs long enough for the soap dispenser to release the Finish tablets which dissolve, but then the dishwasher stops running. The dishes are not clean, and neither is the interior of the dishwasher. It also appears to be leaking when it runs. I cannot afford to replace it, so either I will repair it myself or use it to store pots and pans. This is not my first disappointment with a Whirlpool product. A Kenmore refrigerator made by Whirlpool lasted 7 years before the compressor failed. Apparently, the self-cleaning coils werent and caused the compressor to fail. The refrigerator I have where I now live is a Whirlpool over 20 years old and runs perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool quality has deteriorated badly in the last two decades. I will never buy another Whirlpool kitchen appliance because of the dishwasher and new refrigerator experiences. When I searched the Internet for fixes for both appliances, I found many other owners having the same problems I have had.

Had washer less than 1 year and washer stopped and was flashing code F 51.
Had washer less than 1 year and washer stopped and was flashing code F 51. Called Whirlpool and they sent a repair person. He worked on it and didnt fix problem. Called Whirlpool back. They had to order parts. Repairman came back - replaced parts. Now not 6 months later same thing happening. Whirlpool said we have to pay for labor to repair again. We went online after this happened the first time and saw where others had same problem - this washer should be recalled. The repairman said this part was corroding. This should not be happening on a new washer. We will never buy another Whirlpool product again!!!! Im concerned that it will keep repeating over and over and we paid 700+ for this washer not 1 1/2 ago. My last washer lasted 15 years!!! Wasnt a Whirlpool!!!
