I have had my Cabrio set for two years only and the washer has a error code of F6 and E3... pretty much does not work properly and need to swap out main control board which is about 200-300 for the part. I’m very disappointed in this product for as much I have spent on it. My old school top loader lasted longer than this piece of junk! I believe the steam from the wash is going up into the control board and messing it all up! Water and electricity does not mix! Maybe they need to relook at their products. I want my money back!!!

I bought a Cabrio set in June 2007. Within two years, I had to have the barrings replaced ($800 job). Now, its two years later and Im getting a F50 code. The repairman put in a new part, still got the same code and left. I am out $970. I am a disabled vet/single parent and now I have to buy a new washer. Who is going to start the class action suit against Whirlpool?

Will never buy another Whirlpool/GE product again. Nothing but problems. Paid $1700 for a Whirlpool/goldstar refrigerator 2 years ago. Problems from the start with slide-out shelf cracking, evaporator fan burnt out within 2 years, digital display cannot read anymore. Now have another problem again - not cooling. Going to the trash. No wonder your stock price have dropped. I would sell off to. Whirlpool/GE have been going down hill for the last 5 years. Maybe more. Cheap products, do reflect, it just a matter of time, I would think you would address these issues in your product line, but it shows your company is all about profits instead of quality of products. Keep going like you are, and you will be bankrupt. Cheap overpriced and nothing but junk in any products you manufacture.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator, model # ED2FHAX005, serial #SW1126490, two years ago. I have nothing but trouble with the ice maker. It keeps jamming up with frozen cube. While under warranty, I had it fixed but since then, it has happened twice more. The repairman who fixed it said there was a part missing and a part of the unit was melted. Not only that, but the plastic is coming off on the handle. Nobody at Whirlpool will help me. Too bad, there is no warranty anymore. This refrigerator is a lemon. I am so sorry that I purchased it.

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio in April 2012 and in July 2012, it started giving problems. It wouldnt start. It started humming. We heard money-like jingling noises. It stopped spinning and rinsing clothes. I called for service. No luck with that. So in order to wash, I had to drag the washer to the back door (which ripped up my new floors) hang hose outside for it to finish the load. Well a few months later, that didnt work so the assistant where it was purchased told us to cut the pipe down in the wall. Now we have a big hole in the wall. My floors are ruined and we are out getting another washer. This one is not even a year old. That was a $750 loss.

This refrigerator is less than 1 yr. Old and this repair will be the FOURTH. The severe lack of craftsmanship and customer service is shocking! Most states do not have lemon laws for appliances, however something needs to be done to compensate me for THE TIME and inconvenience this caused my family. I needed to purchase a second compact refrigerator because I knew that it would break down again!

I have a Cabrio washer and dryer and have had nothing but problems. The tub bearing is going out and the washer makes a horrible noise. Now I am getting error codes and the washer begins a cycle and just shuts down. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a Whirlpool appliance. The cost of the repair is not worth the hassle and I am going to have to replace it. They should be recalled by Whirlpool and replaced for free. I will never buy another Whirlpool.

Whirlpool convection/microwave GMH6185XVS - In 2011, we purchased a whole new kitchen for our home with the top of the line Whirlpool products. The sorry side of this project was our microwave. This product has been terrible for us! It has been removed from our wall 4 times for failing... and four times we have gone for weeks at a time with a big hole in our kitchen wall!! All of the failures were due to the microwave not heating food or drink, and all, according to our local dealership, were for various different reasons. Again, it has failed and our local appliance center who we bought everything from does not want to deal with it anymore. I dont blame them... I dont either!! It looks beautiful up there above our range telling me the time of day... My wife and I are older adults and take very good care of everything we own. There certainly has never been any abuse to this product (not to mention we spend half our year at a winter home so this microwave only is used for 6 months a year). I contacted Whirlpool customer service about the reliability of this product and their response was that it is now not under warranty and we should deal with our local store about repairs. I have a small Sharp microwave sitting on the counter below this crappy excuse for one that stays there all the time in anticipation on the Whirlpool going down!!! The $60.00 Sharp never fails me!! This was our 2nd time around purchasing all Whirlpool products for our house. We did the same thing when we built back in 1990. All appliances performed as they should have back then. It seems Whirlpool integrity has gone downhill. I will never buy another Whirlpool product nor I will recommend to anyone I know to do the same. Good luck to anyone who purchased one of these.

We bought 2 Whirlpool refrigerators for our new home 5 years ago. The first ice maker died 2 years ago at 3 years old. The second has now died this month. We called the repairman in who told us that Whirlpool knew there was a problem with their ice makers, but because they did not cause fires, they were not recalled. We paid $480 later for items that should last at least 10 years, not 3-5 years. We will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance and neither will any our family. A company with this level of ethical behavior that knows they have a faulty piece of equipment and just chooses to do nothing does not warrant my business.

We purchased a new Whirlpool washer in March 2010. Yesterday, 2/19/12, the washer stopped working. We called a repairman who checked the machine and told us the motor needs to be replaced. We called Whirlpool today, 2/20/12, and were told by their customer service department that since we did not have an extended warranty. We told them that we believe the motor should last more than 2 years. Their response was that if the motor lasted more than a year that was all they cared about. The only thing they would do is replace the motor if we gave them $299.00. I think it is very clear that Whirlpool knows it makes inferior products as they fail to stand behind what they make. I will never buy another Whirlpool product and would advise anyone who is looking for a washer to buy something other than Whirlpool.

I bought a Whirlpool model GI7FVCXWY00 over and under refrigerator directly
I bought a Whirlpool model GI7FVCXWY00 over and under refrigerator directly from Whirlpool through DirectBuy on April 19, 2010. The unit was a relatively high-end model (over $2,000) that came with a 12-month warranty. Thirteen months after purchase and 1 month after warranty expiration, the ice maker stopped working flooding the kitchen in the process. We called Whirlpool who recommended one of their authorized maintenance subcontractors (GuinCo) to appraise the problem. GuinCo came out, diagnosed that a valve in the ice maker had gone bad and the repair cost us $364. We chalked that up to Murphys Law (repair needed immediately after warranty expiration). Not 4 months later, the kitchen comes up flooded again and again and the ice makers not working. We call GuinCo, the repairman come out and said this time that its a heater and ice maker defect which will cost $643 to repair. He also said that the unit has been designated as having a design defect. We held off on the repair until we could contact Whirlpool for some remediation since it has become obvious that the unit is a lemon. I called Whirlpool, laid out the problems, timelines and potential cost (ice maker failures are going to cost us almost half of what the entire refrigerator cost before the unit is a year and a half old) and the only response they had netted out to was: Sorry, you should have had extended warranty. This is a prime example of an American manufacturer, marketing an inferior product and offering the customer nothing when the lack of quality becomes obvious. I will recommend to anyone I know to stay as far away from Whirlpool products as long as I live.

Whirl Pool Duet Wash WFW9400SW - I had this washer for 5-1/2 years. I use it about 3 times a month. Warranty ran out this last February. Machine stopped working. Called tech and he came and said I need a new console and power board. Two weeks later I get told they dont make it anymore and sorry about your luck. I had an upscale Frigidaire suite of kitchen appliances and I loved them. A few years later I moved and needed a new set. I thought Whirlpool was about the same and I bought a Whirlpool set. The stove wont boil water or even fry an egg. It heats up and cuts off continuously. I called a service rep out and he called the engineer who told him it is designed like that and I need to use hot water on the stove to boil it. I was shocked at his ignorance and insulted by his stupidity. Ive been cooking for 60+ years and everyone who cooks knows you use cold water to boil water. But really, the stove does not cook anything. When frying eggs the burners cut off every few seconds to the point you cannot cook anything with it and the engineer said thats the way they designed it. DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL. THEY WONT EVEN BOIL WATER. HORRIBLE STOVE AND ONCE YOU HAVE IT YOU ARE STUCK WITH IT.

I will never buy another Whirlpool again or recommend them to anyone, and discourage anyone from buying one. I bought a Cabrio washing machine just over 2 years ago and yesterday I received an F51 error code. The manual says that this code requires a technician to come a check for repairs. Well, before I do anything I google the problem, and lo and behold there are thousands of complaints about this issue with the Cabrio models. Some saying that what needed to be replaced were a control board ($280) and a rotor (unknown amount), not including the price of labor. Some said that Whirlpool knows about this problem and they covered the parts and repair. This didnt get my hopes up, but I called customer service and of course they said that there were no reported issues with the model and that what I found on the internet was probably an older model. Of course! The lady on the phone told me that they would not cover the costs and it would be anywhere from $300 to $500 depending on the route I wanted to take. That is a 1/3 to 1/2 the price I paid for the machine. This is ridiculous! I am tempted to just get rid of the washer and go with a better company that actually cares about their customers. This error code was definitely something they know is a big deal if there was nothing I could do about it other than call a technician. I paid almost $1000 for a machine that has barely lasted 2 years before I have to pay money to have it fixed. Not a company I would ever purchase anything from again!

Two-year old Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer; absolute piece of junk! Bearing on the drum howls like a train. Now the master board or some other sensor (under drum) is out. Serviced for the third time and the service repairman states its cheaper to replace than to repair. Never again will I buy a Whirlpool product. I paid over $800 for a new washer 51/2 years ago. I had it worked on twice under extended warranty. Now the bearings are out of the tub and it sounds like a jet taking off when it spins. I had whirlpool products in the past and they lasted for years with no problems. I have a friend who has a relative who is an engineer for whirlpool and his job is to engineer their products so they fail within a certain time frame. They dont want them to last like they use to. They now have gotten their product line to the point where they can tell when it will fail. This is crap. What happened to products that lasted like they use to. NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL.

I inherited this microwave when we bought our house and have been very happy with it. It does not take up much space, heats well and evenly and the beep at the end of the cycle is not as irritating as other microwaves I have owned. I purchased a matching set Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer and dryer in 20
I purchased a matching set Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer and dryer in 2007. Bought from Conns for $2,100. After 3 months of ownership, the circuit board had to be replaced on the washer. Three months later the heating element was replaced on the dryer. Just recently I spent $350.00 to replace 4 drum suspensions. The washer literally shook my home. 3 weeks later, the circuit board needs replacement (code F1). Estimate to repair - $325.00. The dryer is not working properly. Im having to run the clothing thru 2 cycles. Back to the washer. It shreds my towels. Ive read where other consumers have had this same problem. These are expensive towels. So, only 7 yrs. into ownership and I am replacing this junk with the old school washer/dryer. Unlike the Cabrio washer, I will have a washer with an agitator that will actually clean my clothing. Whirlpool manufactures trash and the Cabrio duo was the worse purchase I have ever made. Do not purchase Whirlpool and definitely do not purchase Cabrio.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loader High-Efficiency Machine on March 20, 2013. 14 months later, it failed. When I called customer service I was informed the 1 year warranty had expired (I knew this already) and that all they could offer me was a $319 extended warranty to fix machine and guarantee covered future repairs. Luckily, I had the machine repaired at no cost to me after complaining to the sales people I bought the machine from the year earlier. They contacted their Whirlpool representative who had the repair covered. Now, 3 years and 11 days after purchasing it, it failed again. This time the machine would no longer spin out the water. Whirlpool offered nothing more than to give the website and special code for a discount on a new machine. After some haggling, they agreed to pay for 50% of the parts only, no labor. I argued this machine must be a lemon, as they have told me theyve heard no prior issues with this machine and that it would be reasonable to replace this machine. They refused any further assistance. So I threw this piece of junk away and instead, for $185, bought a simple rebuilt 15 year old Maytag washer with agitator, direct drive. Just a couple of knobs. No computer, fancy bells and whistles. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never purchase a Whirlpool product ever again. I also believe these machines are no longer meant to last like old washers (and dryers) used to.

We had Lowes install a Whirlpool model Nu40T121-403 natural gas water heate
We had Lowes install a Whirlpool model Nu40T121-403 natural gas water heater early October 2012. The temp controller went out in October of 2014. I replaced the controller myself at a cost of $30 for overnight UPS from the manufacturer, American Water Heater. The controller went out again almost exactly one year later and I again replaced it for the $30 shipping charge. In both instances the customer service person told me the malfunction was probably due to my not flushing the heater annually, causing a sediment buildup. The water to the heater not only flushed annually, but is filtered through a water softener and there was absolutely no evidence of sediment in the drain water or on the part of the control that is in the tank. Now it has stopped working a third time. I called Lowes about replacing it, but they only carry Whirlpool, so wont be buying a replacement from them.

Whirlpool Washing Machine Model WTW4950XW2: I am 74-1/2 years old and I hav
Whirlpool Washing Machine Model WTW4950XW2: I am 74-1/2 years old and I have been doing laundry for more than 50 years. We have always purchased washers of a brand made by Whirlpool. Until now Ive had nothing but the highest of praise. Two months ago, our washer stopped working and we had to shop for another. After looking at all types and brands of washers, we found out that the only type without an agitator was available. With that choice, we ended up buying the model stated above. I literally hate the way these washers pretend to wash clothes! I apply the detergent properly, place the clothes perfectly around the outer part of the tub, etc., and because there is not enough water that goes into the tub for the clothes to wash even one pair of socks, let alone a full load of clothes, I use the 2nd rinse trying to help matters although it doesnt. I dont care about the amount of the water I use to have clean clothes! The clothes sit in there just rubbing against one another, and then when they are finished, the clothes are so tangled you can hardly get them out of washer and into the dryer! Perhaps the designers of all these current washers think they are saving water, but I can tell you that sometimes I will wash mine twice as I know that I do not feel they are clean! (And I am a clean person and the clothes are not real dirty!) I am so unhappy with the decision of purchasing this horrible excuse for a washer that I could shoot myself. I will discourage every person I know from buying one. I will tell them to have their old washer repaired as many times as possible so they will have clean clothes! It isnt just Whirlpool, but all the manufacturers who have chosen to make this horrible decision for us, housewives, and anyone else who does the laundry where they live. I used to enjoy doing my laundry, but now it is a nightmare. I will tell my friends who are the same age as I am that if they can still find a machine with an agitator to buy 1 or two of them so they wont have to deal with this type of problem for the rest of their lives. I realize that now I have to eat this washer since I have purchased it, but I can tell you one thing; if I could sell it for near the price I paid for it, I would do it in a heartbeat! Realizing whoever reads this; it wont matter one bit and probably will never reach the hands of the ones who couldn’t care less or do something about it, but at least I have made an attempt to help others in the future.

Whirlpool washer WTW7800 Cabrio - I bought this machine in Oct 2010 for $900.00. This October, the lid started not closing. Next thing I know, the glass is popping out. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I was told there is nothing they could do but refer me to a repairman at a cost of $179. The glass is popping out. I bought a Whirlpool Gold refrigerator four years ago, June 2012. Today, 9/20/16, I found out that the ice maker has to be replaced to the tune of $350! The repair person told me that Whirlpool has the worst track record, and of his service calls, he has at least three to five Whirlpool refrigerators per week! This is a terrible lack of quality. When youre spending over $2,000 for a refrigerator, you expect it to work for more than four years. Not only that, but I have e-mailed Whirlpool Customer Service twice and have been ignored completely. This is my last Whirlpool product, and I urge you to stay away from them. I noticed that the water level are low...I had the tech here twice and they said that if here isnt any lights on the dash that the machine is working. I called the head tech, same answer. When I put the clothes in the washer I make sure that the clothes are evenly placed in the tub. The clothes comes out tangled and some not clean. Tonight I noticed that a pair of pant at the bottom of the load had white smudges/ I am so unhappy with this piece of junk/ I cant afford to buy another washer, so I am stuck with this.. I have tried all the different controls, still bad. I know the new machine are different than the old ones. I still believe that the water levels controls are not working. I have used my sister new washers and the clothes are not tangled and they are all clean.

May 4 I ordered a washer and it was to be delivered on the 21st and on the 20th a salesperson calls me to say my ordered washer is out of stock and she gives me a substitution washer that wont ship to me until june 20th a month away even though I already had been waiting a month, I was very upset and said, I wont accept it but let me think about it, I thought there must not be anything sooner (BIG MISTAKE). So I called back and accepted but after getting off the phone looked online and found a washer that would be delivered on May 28th and it was just delivered no problem but now no one at WHIRLPOOL can find the subbed order to cancel and give me my refund from the out of stock washer... So I have paid for 2 washers and every time I try to get help I have an hour wait to get a person. I am a 65 yr old woman who has been put thru so much stress and it is not good for my health. All I want to do is cry.

The dryer is relatively quiet and has 4 heat settings (including no heat) as well as multiple choices for the type of drying, i.e. wrinkle release, damp dry. The HE washer is noisy and a load of clothes does require a much longer time period than a standard washing machine. My guess is youll spend what you save on water usage for the electric power required to run this type of machine.

Whirlpool Refrigerator WRS526SIAH00. Well we have always had a lot of trust
Whirlpool Refrigerator WRS526SIAH00. Well we have always had a lot of trust in Whirlpool appliances over the years. Just about everything we have is Whirlpool brand including water heater. We remodeled our kitchen and bought a new refrigerator in July 2013 (just for the color/look change). We have had nothing but problems from day one with the water/ice dispenser water may or may not work. Now (AUG 2015) the refrigerator side started freezing our food, milk and tea gallon jugs frozen solid. Went down a self fix list on an appliance parts website using our fridge symptoms, said it was probably the bimetal defrost thermostat. Replaced that part. It didnt fix it.So I did my own troubleshooting and found the cold air was continuing to push from freezer into fridge area, found this cheaply made plastic damper broke and stuck open. Now that part will cost another $50+. Whirlpool knows about these cheaply made parts they have put in these appliances. You cant even get to this part without taking things apart. This is a cheap manufacturers plastic part and Whirlpool knows it. Its not the consumers fault. It was a joke when we received an extended warranty offer from Whirlpool for just $208 per year or $626 for 5 years - I wouldnt spend another dime with Whirlpool. The price is high because they know how many parts are breaking on these units. You shouldnt have any repairs for 10 years on a refrigerator. We are stuck with a lot of Whirlpool products now, but we are done with this brand. Dont waste your money.

Cabrio Washer - I am so disgusted with this product. After only a few months service came out and the repairman told me it was normal for a load to run for 8+ hours. Second repairman replaced the circuit boards and it has lasted 11 weeks. Now it is not working again. Calling tomorrow. I have a bad feeling about what the end result will be. Expect I will be buying a new washer, will not be a Whirlpool. Just went and tried what another reviewer does to get it to run... Pause/start/pause/start. After 8 tries it is now running. I will not live with this. Not going to spend a dime to fix this piece of garbage. Still have 36 days left on extended warranty.

We purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cambrio #WTW8000BWO) in December of 2014. It is now 3 1/2 years old and while the washer worked great til just recently, we now have to purchase a different one because this one will cost too much to repair. We did not get the extended warranty. I have since read that the Cambrio has had a lot of problems. Always check the long term owners and what they have to say about the item, would never have purchased this washer had I known what the problems were and that they even were having them they should have taken it off the market til they got the situation fixed.

Ten days after purchase the fridge went to 21 degrees and began freezing over food and drinks. Yesterday a tech replaced parts to repair the fridge. We paid extra for a 10 year warranty on purchase from Airport Appliances. On delivery I commented that the plastic material used throughout the fridge was of very flimsy material and wobbly. In the first week the crisper drawer joint cracked to our amazement and they had to send another one from Whirlpool. In the 14th month after the Whirlpool warranty had expired, we found the pantry drawer lid/cover shattered by the door which shut on it because of no reasonable leeway provided in its design. On calling the special warranty people they said they only covered the compressor and parts and nothing else. Called Whirlpool who quoted $85.00 for the lid, plus S&H and taxes. Now we have an eyesore every time we open the fridge when we see the taped up cracked three foot pantry drawer lid. We badly regret giving away a 25 year old perfectly working Whirlpool Workhorse Fridge and buy this newer model which we will have to live with for a quarter of a century. I am 75 years old now. Both dont give confirmation as to when the parts will arrive (note they havent been shipped by distributor). Wow seriously??? Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Dryer combination on 4-5-2009, had it delivered on 4-20-2009, was very excited to get this set as it was like my first ever brand new washer dryer. I thought Id spend the money get something good and it would last for years and years. Was I ever wrong. I bought the set and the extended warranty from Lowes and my total with delivery was 2579.00. 20 days after the extended warranty expires (that I never used) the bearings on my Washer go bad. This thing in spin cycle sounds like a jet engine. I called to see if Lowes would still honor my warranty because I never used it and they said no. I called Whirlpool and checked to see if there was a recall and they said no. I checked to see if there is anything they could do at all because this is a huge known issue and of course they said no. (Just look on YouTube for Whirlpool bearing replacement and the amount of views should indicate the amount of troubled users.)Called a repair scheduled through Whirlpools website to come look at it for a 75 dollar assessment and they said it would be about 500-550 to replace the outer tub - largely due to the fact its labor intensive and the bearings are packed in the outer tub from the factory. I was like are you ** kidding me? I paid 1029 for the unit brand new in 2009 and 550 to fix? I said thank you to the repair guy and escorted him nicely out. Upon that I called back Whirlpool to tell them how displeased I am and how I will not be another product of theirs ever and mostly due to the fact they know this is a huge issue and wont do anything about it. I will be going to Lowes to see if the guy who sold me this pile of crap will work me a deal on another unit or set of another brand after I show him my receipt and express my displeasure with that product. If they wont do anything I will go to another store and spend my money elsewhere - I have choices and others do too. So if you are thinking about buying anything in the Cabrio line, dont. Go Samsung or LG - 10 year warranty straight from the manufacturer and costs 200-300 less than I paid for my washer dryer 5 years ago. The bearings are ** and shouldve lasted a lot longer for the amount I used this machine and for what I paid! Shame on you Whirlpool for using crappy parts to make your machines.

I am a very unhappy owner of a Whirlpool Cabrio Model: wtw5640xw0 & matching Dryer. About 4 years ago, my husband chose to replace our 11 year-old Maytag Performa Washer & Dryer instead of fixing a part that needed to be replaced in the Washer. I was upset with the very first load of laundry in the Cabrio and I was extra upset that my husband had junked my perfectly awesome working Performa Dryer. )-: First of all, the Cabrio set is Extremely LOUD! Secondly, I often have to wash loads more than once because they do not get clean the first time. Next, the Washer is Always knocked off balance. Ive resorted to using the settings on the Washer with the low spin every time, no matter how light the load. And, now there is something wrong with the lid lock mechanism (which has always sucked anyway), but this is a new problem... I was just checking on the internet to try to figure it out when I stopped to write this review. The lid will not lock & the lid lock light wont go off, so the Washer wont do anything at all! I can not express enough what a piece of junk this Washer is & Im never going to allow my husband (who doesnt even do the laundry) to choose my Washer & Dryer again!

This company has terrible, deceitful, and pass the buck practices. I purchased a Bravos MCT top loading Maytag washer from Home Depot. Maytag is now owned by or has been acquired by Whirlpool. First I was a little disappointed to learn that because I had previously purchased two Whirlpool made washers and got no more than six years of service out of both them. But from the day this washer was delivered it did not perform as it should. I called and texted with the hours provided for rejection of the washer and was told by a customer service representative that it would be replaced. The main problem was the spin cycle. With only a few clothes in it, it jumped all around and moved so much that it was sitting in the middle of the washroom. Thinking that occurrence was a one time thing, I stopped it; cancelled the cycle; and reset it. It finished the load. This occurrence was reported and simply fell on deaf ears. I was lied to and told a replacement would be made; it was not. I have sent numerous emails and have made several calls for more than a year now and I still have the same defective washer in my home. Each time I emailed, I received a different message from the customer service person. This company wants me to pay for a service call or buy an additional warranty for a defective machine they produced and refuse to honor their replacement policy— which they now say is the responsibility of Home Depot. Luckily I have kept every email and document I was provided. I am being forced to file a claim against this company to get their attention and to remedy this situation. The expense of the claim will be greater the cost of purchasing another machine, but it is this kind of behavior, on the part of A corporate giant, that is makes life tough for everyday people like me. Stay away from the Whirlpool name for washers—even a prior good name brand like Maytag.

I just bought a new dishwasher because my 5-year-old one went out, model number DU1145XTPBA. After pulling the old one out, I took the motor out and lo and behold, what did I find but bad bearings. The motor was fine, just the bearings were rusted out and were jamming the motor so that it wouldnt move. The price of a new motor, $149.00. Well thats a bit much for something that only lasts 5 years. I went on eBay and found them for $70 to $170.00. So if you have a problem where your dish wont wash at all but fills up with water, it may be nothing more than cheap bearings in the motor. If I, myself, were this companys CEO i would really consider changing companies that they have making these motors or at least the bearings. Just wanted you to know that this is the only problem I have had with this one and Im going to replace the motor now that I know what it is. We bought a Whirlpool dishwasher (Ser# F21102027MOD, Model# WDF730PAYB2) after reading some of the reports that it was just as good as a Bosch. Wrong! We bought this washer March 17. On May 17, the selector switch and sub control broke down. We had bought this item at the HH Gregg store here, and also purchased a 5-year warranty which they said we cannot use because the dishwasher is only 2 months old. Is there a lemon law? And what makes this worse is that we called Whirlpool on May 18th. They could not get anyone out here until May 25th to look at it. As of this time, they still could not fix it because the two parts had to be ordered. Today is June 1st and the part is still not in? Makes me think, does this part always go down because its on back order? So you are fully warned, do not purchase a Whirlpool. If I can get some extra money, I am throwing it out and buy a Bosch because I dont think it will ever be fixed.

Nice looking, prices very fair for quality product. Options are always good. My mom used Whirlpool. That thing that goes in the middle of the old time washer is now gone. That thing would rip or stretch out clothing bras. Anything that was nice it would make it look horrible. Ive had my washer and dryer for 6 years and they still work like new. When shopping for a washer and dryer I do look for capacity, energy efficient and the brand. I prefer to stick to the old school brands just like my mother did. I must admit that I do love the fact that it is an HD high efficiency washer. The deal-breaker would be a low quality construction made a washer or dryer nobody needs to have problems with it. If youre spending that type of money you need to get good quality items.I love my washer and dryer. Theyre both and white color. Its a Whirlpool Cabrio with HD High efficient load energy saver and H2 wash system. The washer has a lid with a see-through glass which I love. My dryer is also a Whirlpool Cabrio steam with a resource saver that gives me a lot of different options as far as my clothing is concerned on how I need it dry.

Purchased this simple 30 wide fridge July 2017 to fit a short kitchen slot.
Purchased this simple 30 wide fridge July 2017 to fit a short kitchen slot. It worked adequately, but it only had 3 temp settings. The highest setting was too warm and coldest froze food in the fridge within days. The middle setting was a little cold but the best option. Food in the back did occasionally freeze and we had to be careful for vegetables in the drawer freezing. Often we wrapped lettuce and more fragile veggies in towels to absorb moisture and slow down freezing. Two years after buying - almost to the day - the fridge stopped cooling below 45F. The freezer still worked, so I thought it might be fixable. I tried some DIY repairs from a couple of websites but nothing worked. Within a week, the fridge temps were up to 50-55F. I gave up on buying ice and keeping food in coolers. I bought a GE and havent looked back.

6 months after we moved into our new house our Whirlpool refrigerator froze up and we had it repaired. 6 months later the same thing. Still under warranty. 6 months later the same thing. I asked for a new refrigerator. They said it could not be replaced unless it was deemed unrepairable!!!! Now after 2 years with the same problem every 6 months I get in contact with corporate and advised to get an extended warranty because “they don’t replace refrigerators”. So an extended warranty will cost $350 this year and increases every year because the fridge is over 1 year old. Ok so I am paying to have it repaired with their so called warranty!!! We went to an appliance store and purchased a new not Whirlpool refrigerator. Will never buy anything Whirlpool again and let all my friends and family know of my experience.

GX5FHTXVQ03 - Our whirlpool refrigerator/freezer has been leaking from the freezer for a couple of years (purchased in 2011). An ice sheet builds up in the freezer unit, then leaks out. We have gone through countless attempts to defrost and correct, disconnecting the ice maker, and a replacement part that accomplished nothing. I see online numerous people have experienced this same problem. It appears to be a design defect. Made another call to Whirlpool today. They are willing to schedule a service call for us... at our expense. Gee, thanks! Hey, but they are sorry about our warped oak hardwood floor. That sure makes me feel better. WE WILL NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL AGAIN!

I am writing due to the defects and flaws in my recently purchased appliances. I chose Whirlpool believing I was buying the highest quality for longevity purposes. Every appliance I own is Whirlpool or Maytag - same company. I purchased warranties and was told the warranties dont cover my issues and was basically brushed off. I am infuriated. Here is a list of complaints. Refrigerator is cracking on the inside on the inner door and at the bottom. These cracks surfaced within the first year of purchase. The warranty does not cover cracks in the inner body. The oven/range has an exhaust that bellows out of the top of the range in a way that the smoke curls up onto the panel and discolors it. I have never had an oven constructed with an exhaust pipe in the front that pours smoke onto the range itself and into your house. The dishwasher paint has rusted off on the door as have the screws on the inside of the door. The cover panel on the cleaning dispenser of the washer has popped off and cannot be popped back on, hence the guts of the dispenser are always visible and when I go to load the cleansers the front has to pulled out from inside the dispense. The refrigerator is also leaking from the bottom and the ice-maker no longer produces ice. This started off and on for the past 2 years. At first I thought the leak was from a near by window. No it is the refrigerator. All of these appliances were purchased in 2013, 14 and 15. New. I am 56. I have never had issues like this ever in my life growing up or as an adult. Appliances lasted forever. I am one person. How much damage could I do? None. These are flaws in chemical compounding of the paints and materials for cracks and rust. Whirlpool was called various times and was not interested in sending a rep to verify my claims. They said all of my warranties did not cover such issues only motors. Lots of many spent in vain. I will not purchase Whirlpool again as they seem disinterested in customer satisfaction.

After 32 years of marriage and nothing but Whirlpool (because my mother swore by Whirlpool), that is all we have used. I am so disappointed in the Cabrio washer/dryer set we purchased at Lowes. After 18 months, the dryer just quit. The best part is, we hang clothes out most of the time. It was used one winter, $1400 wasted. We put a cheap Admiral in our second home and spent $500 total and they work fine. I will never ever purchase Whirlpool anything or recommend to anyone. Again, you lost a family tradition.

The French door fridge with the freezer drawers on the bottom are very flexible and easy to access. It goes downhill from there. The ice maker takes 4 days to fill up the bin with no use. The unit does not defrost and freezes up every six weeks requiring a manual defrost. Three mods have been made under the service contract and performance has not improved. PC boards have been replaced and at least one thermistor. My understanding is this is a single compressor unit with piping, relays and valves to port refrigerant to two different evaporators as needed. Unfortunately it simply does not properly balance/defrost and the freezer door freezes up. It certainly is not compatible with a high humidity environment. We will never buy another cooling design like this, but sure like the French Door layout. Glad we have a service contract.

After getting a suite of Whirlpool appliances from Home Depot, I found that they were a little below standard to previous Whirlpool we’ve owned. I found the top of the Electric stove could be easily scratched and the refrigerator was noisy. The stainless steel seemed not as heavy as our other ones. The Whirlpool insignia on the refrigerator came lose and I needed to glue it back on. I’ve always had good luck with Whirlpool and we’ll see how this goes. Just to be safe we bought an extended warranty on the fridge.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine is less than five years old. First repair
Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine is less than five years old. First repair was replacement of control panel (under warranty). Second, third and fourth attempts to fix the out-of-balance problem which continually caused the machine to shut down altogether (even a small load) left my repairman totally frustrated after replacing most of the parts, finally telling me it just cant be fixed! What? I paid over $1,000 for this machine in Oct. 2007 and expected it to last many, many years. My mother-in-law has a washing machine she bought used in 1979 and it is still working beautifully. Ive read the 14 pages of complaints on the Consumer Affairs website and agree with Diana in Kissimmee, Fl - I am sick to my stomach not only for Whirlpool not recalling the Cabrio, but for Lowes and Sears and any other supposedly family-friendly business for continuing to sell it! Someone please contact me if you know of a class action suit being filed.

Only response I get from them, is that Im doing something wrong. How can you do anything wrong? Add water, push button. I finally put in a call to World Headquarters but had to leave message and nobody has returned call. I finally called a whirlpool serviceman and he told me the Aqua lift is not a true self cleaning oven. The temperatures dont get hot enough. It was meant to just loosen the dirt on the bottom and then you have to scrub. The button you press to start the process on the stove states SELF CLEANING. I believe they have mislead the public with their advertising. Im thinking about any options I may have.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator to match the other appliances in our kitchen. The unit was purchased in June of 2012. Two and a half years later, it quit making ice and would not maintain proper cooling temps. Not to mention the noise coming from the compressor. So we had a certified tech come out and he said that it was the sealed refrigeration system. He stated that he had seen this issue a lot with whirlpool refrigerators. He said that what they don’t tell you is that it is covered for 3 years but good luck with getting any satisfaction. The cost to fix it you ask? $700.00. Might as well just buy a new one. Took a shot in the dark and called Whirlpool customer service. Gave the girl my information and model number. I got the “Sorry, but your model number is not covered by the sealed refrigeration warranty.” Then I got the ole, “Is there anything else today?” Well, she got the wrong man on the phone this day. I asked her to give me a model number that is covered by the warranty and I will purchase that one. You could have heard a pin drop. I don’t guess she’s been asked that before. She starts to ramble and said, “Well, there are just so many, I could not possibly tell you. Some are and some aren’t.” (Remember that statement) You mean she can tell me that mine was not covered, but could not tell me which models were covered. Huh??? Long story short. I argued with her for an hour on the phone and she finally breaks down and admits that Whirlpool does not warranty the sealed systems on their refrigerators any longer because they are considered value brands. What are value brands you ask? I asked the same thing. I was informed that a value brand is of lower cost to draw people to buy the product. Remember in the movie Back to the Future when Doc Brown said he sold a nuclear weapon to the Libyans at a good price but it was just filled with pinball machine parts? Well, there you go. I get the supervisor on the phone and she has the I’m going to be strict with this customer voice. She basically blames me in the fact that I failed to purchase the extended warranty. You’re right, my fault. How dare I have the nerve to think that a one thousand dollar value Whirlpool refrigerator would last no further than two and a half years? My bad on that one lady. The end result; I was told that I could purchase a new Whirlpool refrigerator and be sure to get the extended warranty. Yeah, why don’t go practice falling down Whirlpool, I’ll be there in a minute. (That was sarcasm by the way).

The only drawback is that if it is on, you can hardly tell it is running so if you forget you might interrupt the wash cycle unintentionally. When I explained that my oven was less than lightly soiled (I rarely use it) and that I had run the cleaning cycle twice and none of the soil was affected. Apparently the company is aware of this problem and I believe customers should be made aware of it BEFORE purchasing. I purchased a whirlpool duet washer & dryer several years ago. In the 3rd yr or so, the dryer kept shutting off with beeps prior to clothes dried or cycle completion. Whirlpool gave me an option for an extended warranty given that the orig one had long ended. I purchased it - a one year warranty. In that year I have had technicians to my house 6-7 times to diagnose or swap parts. They eventually swapped all 3 boards on the dryer. It still shuts down before clothes are dry. Whirlpool tells me that they outsource this service and take no responsibility for either their lemon of a machine nor their lemon service company; Alliance Repair. I would like the money back for the extended warranty so that I could buy a new dryer and all I get is a runaround from both the service company and whirlpool. I will never buy whirlpool again and advise anyone out there to also not buy their machines.

She listened to our issue and was extremely understanding of our frustrations. This interaction has restored our faith in Whirlpool and its partner brands. The representative also provided guidance on future purchases in contacting Whirlpool to purchase its extended warranty.I would suggest using Whirlpools warranty program instead of a retailers program. I wish I had read all these reviews before buying this junk/lemon of a machine. Havent had the machine for a year yet and lots of problems. Only can wash five towels at a time and thats pushing it. Decided I would deal with it, until it gave other problems. First sometimes skipped cycles, then water came in when it was spinning. Called for service. Checking to see if we even can get you service in your area, representative says.About a week later tech comes and puts two parts in and left. Happy to get laundry going but, guess what??? Washes only doesnt do anything else and trying desperately to drain water out. Of course I have to take clothes out and bring to laundry. Tech comes back next day. Now he cant get any cycles to work either. Fried, tech says. Sets me up for next Saturday, fine. Now get a call on Monday, not coming. Tuesday is next appointment. Apparently inventory representative says. Didnt know that before??? Call Whirlpool, service first, then company. I want a new one, this is definitely a lemon. Nope, tech will be there on Tuesday. I hope Whirlpool reads this. They should be ashamed of their company. They used to be good, always bought their products. Dont buy these machines, trust me you dont need the aggravation. I have a Whirlpool Duet Steam Washer that will be two years old in September 2013. It has been making terrible, loud noises during the spin cycle for a few months now. Repair tech told me it was the bearings and very costly. It will cost me over half of the original cost to repair a less than two year old washer. This is my second Duet front loader from Whirlpool. The first one was a drum issue and the rod ended up snapping. Again, very costly so I bought a new one. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I do not agree with extended warranties and it is just an additional money maker for the manufacturer. They should be making the product so people do not have to purchase those. Anyway, back to the washer at hand. I refuse to spend that much on a newer washer and will never purchase a Whirlpool product again. I will let this thing bang for as long as it is going to last. Unfortunately have also just purchased the dryer that matches this washer since I still had the old model Duet Dryer, so kind of stuck with them. Spent an hour and a half yesterday on the phone talking to people at Whirlpool and they really dont care if you have an issue or not no matter how old your machine is. They just want you to have purchased the extended warranty or forget it. There should be a recall and they should be helping these customers who all seem to be having the same issue. Done with them!!

We have had this Whirlpool Duet WFW9150 washer for 7 years, doing 2-4 loads a week. Overall we are quite satisfied with it. A few complaints: We are on a well, and so get the odd bit of crud in the water. The machine has filters on the inlet lines, but you must pull it out from the wall to get at them. The filters are hard to remove. If something goes wrong--power blip, or sensor something, you have to restart the cycle. There is no way to continue from where you left off. There are features I wish it had: Rinse with warm or hot water, a spin only cycle, And Im in a hurry and it isnt very dirty cycle (Shortest cycle is almost 2 hours). Whirlpool doesnt have a service center for our area. If we need repair we need to take it into town. This is inconvenient.

I was told that I needed to install the upgrade kit and that the water heater was malfunctioning because of a lack of air and that it needed to be cleaned at the bottom. I paid for the shipping of the kit although I believe it is called an upgrade or conversion kit versus a recall for this water heater to save money and to get the consumer to pay for replacing defective parts. A certified technician installed the kit but the pilot light would not remain lit. He replaced the thermocouple, although new parts had just been received. This did not help either. The technician and I called customer service, which didnt resolve the issue. I also asked for a manager who would only agree to send out another conversion kit. There are three years remaining on the warranty but I am being told to keep replacing new parts with new parts until it works. That is unacceptable. Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer with the glass lid. This is not a good washer to buy! The clothes do not get clean. Have to set it to bulk to get enough water to even cover clothes. Biggest issue is the lid. I have had to order a new one as it cracked on both sides back by control panel. I took the old lid off and discovered why the lid cracked. I have read many complaints about this same issue and everyone said Whirlpool would do nothing about it or even acknowledge there was a problem. Here is the problem. On each side there is a spring to hold the lid up while in the open position. The lid is plastic. When I tried to push those lid pins down with the lid off they would not go down. The springs are too strong for the plastic. When the lid is down the springs are trying to hold the lid up, so they are pushing against the plastic. Given time the springs win out against the plastic and the lid cracks and breaks. I am just a simple housewife and I figured this out! I hope that every manufacturer that is making glass top lids STOPS making them out of plastic, uses metal instead, uses a spring that is not as strong, or foregoes the current design and comes up with something that is better. It is for certain that I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance!

Purchased a Whirlpool double door refrigerator and within a year the freezer and refrigerator doors were severely out of line. Called repairman who said the risers were broken, they were plastic and needed to be replaced. We did that. The doors were again out of line so badly that you had to push the refrigerator door side hard to get it to close. Repairman came today and stated he would recommend ditching the refrigerator as the risers in the bottom of the refrigerator are made of plastic and will continue to break. He leveled the doors but stated that they will continue to become out of line again. The repairman stated that this is a design defect in the Whirlpool refrigerator and he has replaced the risers in many of the refrigerators repeatedly. As if the refrigerator isnt enough, we own a Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer. Within 3 1/2 yrs the motherboard went bad in the washer and we had to replace it. The part and labor was almost $400. Whirlpool considered us a valued customer and offered us a comparable washer for $500 and they would take ours away for $20 extra. Only problem is that our original washer was $1,000 and the comparable was not as large as the one we had and did not have the stainless ours had.All I can say is if were valued customers I would wonder how they treat their less valued customers. All of this is to say that I will no longer purchase any Whirlpool products. Not only are the products below par but the customer service is non existent. Overall, very disappointed and after all these years, I have finally given up on this washer and will junk it.
