I purchased whirlpool Model# WFG540H0ES gas with convection. I purchased it because the price was $1000 dollars less than comparable ovens and even now the price has gone up $300 since I purchased it. I really wanted the luxe look at a discount price, a burner that you could lay a grill over, and five burners which it provided all of those things. I hesitated to buy this oven because the door fell off the last Whirlpool within three years and they refused to fix it so I tried not to buy this brand but it had the amenities I wanted for the price I could afford. I really like the oven. I like the oven the best because it really does make a great cake. I like the two large grates that sit across the oven. It makes it feel high end. If you dont wipe the range immediately grease gets stuck on the range and is hard to clean. This is what I like the least. Im ready to wipe on the weekend and its too late. It took me four days of internet comparison to decide on this one. The house is not painted, the cabinets are falling off the wall literally but I am extremely proud of this oven and it makes me feel affluent even though Im not.

We purchased our fridge February 2017. It stopped working September 2018. It wasn’t staying cold. Under manufacturers warranty a repairman was sent out to assess the problem. They had to order the part that went bad. A week later the came back and “fixed” it. Total time missed at work 1 day. It stopped working again April 2019. It wasn’t staying cold. Under our Lowe’s extended protection plan a different repairman was sent out to assess the problem. They had to order the part. A week later they came back and “fixed” it. Total time missed at work 1.5 days. Yesterday (July 2019) we noticed it wasn’t cold AGAIN. Called Lowe’s and was told they could call it a Lemon and replaced until the 4th time it needed repaired. They would need to send out a repairman and assess the issue and make a repair. Our 3 yr extended protection plan expires February 2020. So we’re probably not going to make it Lemon status within the warranty. The fridge is French Door Bottom Mount model. Do NOT buy this refrigerator!

Our Model # WRF532SMBW refrigerator was purchased on 8/21/14. In the last several months, it has begun having problems with ice build up in the bottom of the freezer, as well as water puddling around the front legs on the floor. I called Whirlpool and they suggested it was our water line, but it does not leak onto the floor daily. They then suggested I have a serviceman come out for a $120.00 service call, plus whatever other expenses that occur. Or, I could just pay $322.00 and that would take care of the service call, parts and an additional one year warranty. We just bought this refrigerator 23 months ago and it cost $1618.92. Now I need to spend $322.00 additionally! What a rip off. Do not purchase a Whirlpool Refrigerator or any of their other appliances. I see this is a common complaint and wish I had read the reviews earlier. The appliance is only 2 years old.

Since buying a Whirlpool Cabrio washer about 3 years ago have had several breakdowns. Within 6 months the computer completely failed. Since then it failed again. About every six months it costs me around $125 to get it running. The thing is a piece of junk. If the load is slightly unbalanced it just shuts down during the spin cycle. The old Maytag we had ran for over 25 years with the belt replaced once. No other problems. Will not buy another Whirlpool again.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2010, model #ED2KHAXVB01, side by side with ice maker. Fortunately, we purchased a 5-year service contract at the same time because the ice maker has broken twice. Unfortunately, I have had to replace the shelves while still under warranty quite a few times. The sides of these glass shelves are made of poor quality plastic and crack constantly. The drawers are the same way. The refrigerator is no longer under the warranty and Whirlpool wants $109 per shelf. I told them I would pay for replacement shelves only if they could send shelves that were made with better quality materials. Otherwise, I might be spending $1000 per year replacing shelves. The Whirlpool representative told me there is nothing that they can do. I see many people with this problem posting complaints on the internet. Do not buy a Whirlpool refrigerator. I have been married for 37 years and never had to replace one shelf in any refrigerator and still have a 40-year old refrigerator in my basement with no broken shelves!

A factory authorized technician came out this morning and repaired the washing machine. The bolt had come off of the pulley, which then fell off and burned through the guard, and then burned into the insulating on the bottom. The technician said this happens frequently. All that needs to happen is to have a Loctite bolt holding the pulley rather than a plain bolt which comes loose with the vibration. All Whirlpool had to do was spend a couple cents more for the proper part which would avoid potential fire! I should not have needed to have had my home put at risk, needed this service call or pay all that extra money because of their poor workmanship and design failure. This should be a recall item, and all costs incurred by the consumer should be covered by Whirlpool.

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator model WRF560SEYM in June 2014. In February 2015 the ice maker had to be repaired because of a leak. Now in February of 2016 the ice maker and water dispenser are leaking. Because the warranty is one year, Im basically stuck with a refrigerator that sucks. Not only is the ice maker and water dispenser broken, the door sometimes doesnt shut properly and the shelving couldnt possibly be more cheaply made. This refrigerator is in a vacation home and has barely been used. I have purchased many Whirlpool appliances on the past and have never seen such poor quality in an appliance. The only thing Whirlpool can offer is sorry youre stuck!! No more Whirlpool for me!!

Warning to anyone considering this washing machine. It has actually destroyed some of my clothing by twisting and tying legs and arms of pants and shirts tightly together and giving the clothes a beating rather than a reasonably careful washing. Rubbing your clothes on a rock at the bank of some river would be preferable to using this machine. It does not provide enough water to wash clothing without abusing it. I blame myself for assuming that no company would attempt to put a product that performed like this on the market. I bought this machine at hhgregg.

Purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio supposedly a top of the line washing machine? Not even three years old, used 3 times a week for normal to small loads, for a family of three. Stopped spinning water out, so clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle. Repairman said I need a new transmission and inner spin basket is completely worn. New parts will cost me around $500!!!! Repairman said this should not be this worn down in 2 1/2 years. I purchased this machine to replace a Roper brand machine I purchased used for $200 and had for over 10 years without issue! I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. They do not stand behind their product! I should not have had any issues with this machine for at least 10 years!

After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet
After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet washing machine WFW9400SU1 requires repairs costing over $1100. Similar to another complaint listed, some parts rusted out, leading to extensive damage during use, which we realized only after the spin cycle became incredibly loud. Now the entire gut of the machine (bearing, drum, arm, casing, etc.) needs to be replaced - $900 parts and $200 labor. I trust my repairman (who said theyd seen this type of problem before with Whirlpool) especially because he recommended buying a new machine instead. I called Whirlpool, and they said they could do nothing for me which made me very angry. This is a mechanical problem that could have been avoided by using proper materials. Whatever happened to the washing machines that would last 15-20 years?

My oven was 11 months old when I tried to use the self-clean cycle for the first time. 2 hours into the 4 hour cycle, the oven completely shut down, door locked shut and no lights on the control panel. The repair tech came out on a warranty repair call (no charge), explained that Whirlpool does not use a thermal protector rated for a self-cleaning oven and that it blows every time. He then proceeded to replace it with the same thing because he is only allowed to put in the recommended part, which is not rated for the high temp cleaning cycle. So the oven is usable, but not the self-clean. Since I am at the end of the 1 yr warranty period, even if I were able to get Whirlpool to replace the oven (ha!) there would be no warranty because I only get the original time limit. So if I had a new oven and it blew out, it would not be under warranty for fix/replace. The repair tech said this is a COMMON problem with Whirlpool self-clean.

I owned a Whirlpool water heater and the only thing I have with it is problems! The pilot keeps on turning off. Since I am a 64-year-old lady, I have no idea on how to fix things (widowed). I keep on paying for the plumber to fix it. It started with flooding all my front yard because of a faulty valve. I paid $165.00. After the pilot went off, I paid another bill to fix that. And it turned off and on again (lost count of times). Today, I found another pool of water (the valve again? ). What a piece of work! Please, can you help me? Im heading to the store to buy a new one, not a Whirlpool!

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold top freezer refrigerator (G2IXEFMWQ03) in May 2011. Six months later, the freezer began to collect frost and eventually clogged the refrigerator port from freezer. Since cold air from the freezer was not going to fridge, I had to turn down the refrigerator temp to lowest setting. I had a service person come out and replace Adaptive Defrost Control under warranty - it would have cost me around $250. Now roughly 12 months after repair, the defrost issue is back. The part cost me $175, and that is if I install it myself. I called and mailed Whirlpool which was a waste of time. This is the last Whirlpool I plan to purchase. For the same issue to occur in this short time span, it has engineering flaw written all over it.

In Feb. 2014 we moved into a new Condo and bought all new kitchen appliance
In Feb. 2014 we moved into a new Condo and bought all new kitchen appliances, MAKING one mistake, a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, Model WRS322FDAM 01. It had to be ordered and was received by Lowes on March 10th. Letters from Whirlpool told me that their service warranty had ended as of 2/1/15 which predated our receipt of the fridge. It is a bit noisy with the ice maker, and when it fills up with water, you can hear it, and yes, the ice does fly a bit when you put it into your glass. The worst thing about this piece of junk, is how cheaply it is made. The materials used must have come from the rejected pile of parts. Its just my husband and I, no grandchildren/children and very little company. So, the fridge received average use and then within 6 months, one of the drawers cracked at the back. I tried to glue it back together myself because I was told that it was not a covered item??? My repair lasted a few months and then came apart entirely. When I removed the broken shelf I noticed something around the LED light on the liner in the back of the fridge. I pulled out the meat drawer and found a crack that began at the bottom of the light and had moved about 3 inches to the left, and another one that began at the right of the light and that was about 4 inches or so.Life intervened and when I looked again, the right side crack had split and deepened and it had now crossed over to the rounded edging connecting the back liner to the side liner. The left side crack had also moved further to the left, and is now approaching the side corner. I spoke with Whirlpool and they sent out a repair company who e-mailed a photo of the cracks to them from our home. The company response was that they would cover the crack with 482395 liner tape. - this was their idea of a repair.I then spoke with a Lowes representative who agreed to send another repair firm out. Well, they came today and when they spoke with Whirlpool, they were told to order an Epoxy kit (# 8212572) - this was their version of a repair. I spoke with a supervisor and told her that they were not repairing the liner, they were just placing a bandage on top of the crack. I compared it to owning a new car but having cracks in the dashboard. In this case the dealer would place tapes over the cracks instead of just replacing the dash. Neither response from Whirlpool was a repair. All they were doing was hiding their piece of garbage. She disagreed and would offer nothing further. I told her that I was going to bring this to the attention of any consumer group that I could, and might even see if a class action suit could be brought to bear as there were many other reports of cracked liners. We are totally disgusted with the product and its manufacturer. Whirlpool used to have a good reputation, but after this, it is now at the bottom of the garbage barrel.

I feel that at the end of the day I do owe Whirlpool a good feedback. Our top load washer stopped rinsing so I checked the clutch, agitator dogs and coupler which all looked brand new. So I thought Id take the trans apart and after pulling the plastic agitator out I noticed the tub had completely rusted in half! The tub dropped down about an inch. The agitator would spin but the tub just sat there. Now came the difficult part. I told them I was quite sure about my diagnostic that it needed a new tub and told them I could send them a video (I even posted a video on Facebook and Twitter). But they said they would have to send a man out at $180 to make sure! After several days of back and forth conversations, someone at Whirlpool finally saw the video and agreed to send us a new tub. I havent gotten it yet but have heard through the grapevine that these tubs were supposed to be replaced if rusted because of the quality of metal used? So other than pulling a few teeth and needing to replace the tub, our washer has been a pretty good machine.

We purchased our front loading washer and dryer set to replace our set that was 17 years old and what a difference! I love all the different settings so I can customize the wash or dry cycles, including the energy-saving features. Although we dont have children in the home anymore, the large capacity is perfect for handling my fabrics and quilts. Something that didnt always work with my top loading washer. Of course, the fact that the front loading washer uses very little detergent is also a bonus.

I could not find parts for it and was told by a lowes employee that I would have to call whirlpool on the 5th of July (three days away) to order any parts. Terrible! I bought the washer in December of 2010. We began finding holes in clothes in March of 2011. We found that we had a small crack in our dryer. After trying to fix it ourselves, the crack came back. So, we replaced the dryer. After we replaced the dryer, we began to find more holes in our clothes. It was not the dryer causing the holes, but our duet Whirlpool washer. We had several drain error instances as well. We have had the service repair man out several times for the drain error problem. Ranging from a Mardi Gras bead in the drain pump, to several baby socks to a large adult tube sock. Id say its been at least 7 times. We had finally had enough of our clothes, which I would estimate to be at least $500 worth of clothing, the service repair man said he had never seen anything like it. That was in November of 2011. They said they would replace the tub and drum system but it would take several weeks to get the part in, which took us past our warranty. After numerous complaints, Whirlpool offered the best they could do, that was to extend our warranty (6 additional months). The first drum was broken upon delivery, so another would have to be ordered. There goes another week. Finally it came in. We were all but assured the problem would be fixed. Two days later, same drain error code! 3 more socks caught in the drain pump! Took the socks out myself after watching them do it so I didnt have to call them out again and pay the fee. Next day, there were more holes in clothes! Called and and they said they cant get a service guy out for at least a week! That was all during the Christmas and New Years holidays! January 9th, the service repair man came and said, Yep, its the same problem. We need to replace the tub and drum again. The part would be guaranteed to be in by Friday, January 13th!Guess what? Today I got a call, the parts were on back-order and it wont be until January 24th until they can become available. Seriously? Seriously?! I have a family of 6. Me, my wife, a 8 year old girl, a 7 year old girl, a 5 year old boy and an 18 month old girl. The piles upon piles of laundry are limitless waiting for empty promises. In the meantime, we have had to wash essential clothes (school clothes, socks, underwear, etc.) at laundromats, and friends and other family members houses. Whirlpool doesnt give a care about any of our problems. I come from a huge family, as does my wife. Together, we probably have 100 family members. I will crusade against Whirlpool for any and all appliances if this matter is not fixed and their customer service is not better!

I have never had such a horrible experience in my life as I have with Whirlpool. Refrigerator ($2,500) broke within three months, and then broke again another two months later and hasn’t worked right since. They have the most horrible customer service, parts are on back order, I’ve had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food because everything keeps freezing but they do not care. Ice machine has been broken for over a month for the second time. They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Buyer beware. Do not buy anything from this company. Their products are the worst and they have zero customer service. Good luck if you buy something and it breaks. You might as well just buy a completely new appliance.

Whirlpool Clothes Washer Model WTW4930XW1 - We have experienced tub overfilling on (2) separate occasions with this washer model in a period of time of less than (2) years. Through extended warranty service purchased, a technician came out the first time; declared nothing explainable to cause the malfunction, re-calibrated the control panel, and off he went. This second event occurred much the same as the first; happened to walk in to notice water on laundry room floor and witnessed overflow out the lid on top. We have carefully washed additional loads after this second event without a similar malfunction. From my online research, this sure sounds like a faulty pressure switch not sensing high water level in the tub. Any other thoughts?

We purchased a Whirlpool Energy Smart Electric Hot Water Heater with a 12-year warranty from Lowes on August 30, 2010. The water heater stopped working and the green light was flashing three times. We contacted Whirlpool since it was less than two years old and they were very rude to us. They told us it was the sensors and we would have to change them out. We waited while they sent the sensors to us. We installed them and it still would not work. It continued to flash three times just as before. We contacted Lowes where we purchased it and they were extremely apologetic and said they would be glad to replace it if we could get an RA number from Whirlpool, but that many others have been having a hard time dealing with Whirlpool. We contacted the rude people at Whirlpool again. They said they were not surprised that the sensors did not fix it. We asked for an RA number so we could get a replacement (after all, it did have a 12-year warranty). Now we were days later with still no hot water. Now this rude technician said it was probably the control board. I asked him if we were going to have to be without hot water until we changed every part on the unit. At this point, we just took the hot water heater out, put it on the curb, and went and purchased a different brand. Whirlpool has lost us as customers for life. If their other products are as horrible as that hot water heater, I wouldnt take any if they paid me to. They were by far the rudest and most hateful people we have ever dealt with and life is too short to be treated that way. I predict they will be out of business in no time with the garbage they are putting out.

Purchased this beautiful sleek Cabrio washer in May 2012 from Appliance Smart, with its modern looking glass top, it looked so nice. The washer itself works ok for now, but it does unbalance a lot, thats not main issue. We deal with that. The poor design of holding that sleek glass top in is the problem. After a little over two years, it started cracking at the hinge that is just mounted in Plastic which holds the whole lid down, including the heavy glass. The glass started raising up, causing steam to escape. The lid is rubbing and very difficult to open. Appliance Smart is gone now.. We called the service repair person about 6 months ago, he looked at it, said its a problem that is not covered on our warranty and it would be approx $350.00 to repair!! So today, tomorrow or next week it will stop working because the lid is popping off! Its a terrible design, dont be fooled by its sleek look. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for this major design flaw. Beware, the very thing you need to be fixed wont be covered under warranty, lemon law, or just good customer service. We have owned several Whirlpool appliances and doubt that we will own one again, due to the way this issue was handled by Whirlpool.

I have always had Whirlpool Everything - not anymore!!!! I purchased a water saver washer that I am very unhappy with - it does not get the clothes clean. I have to put it on an extra rinse (water saver?) to get the soap out. I use the Tide for HE washers. I cannot wash a large load in it - directions say I can. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator from 2017 that is causing so many issues and finally completely broken after spending $500 on repairs. 4 months ago, refrigerator was making loud noise and freezer wasnt working. Then within a week the whole unit stopped working. Then, freezer got all frosty and the whole unit got shut off. 2 month later, the ice maker stopped working and nothing is working now. I called the Whirlpool and they offered me to purchase extended warranty for $530. I could not believe they wanted me to spend another $530 on this refrigerator after spending all this money on repairs and still useless. I refused to buy any more Whirlpool product that I used to love in the past. I am just so disappointed with the customer service as the supervisor from Whirlpool said that is why they offer extended warranty. $2000 refrigerator to last me 3 years???? Not doing this again.

After purchasing 3 whirlpool items in the last 4 years and 2 of them breaking down a dryer last year, and my water heater today. I no longer have faith in your products. I am disabled and was a whirlpool customer, but after my recent experience with your failing products, I will not be purchasing any more! Its great your willing to send the parts for the water heater but, it costs $65 to have them installed. I bought from you because you had a quality item and obviously that is no longer true. Contact me if you still want me as a customer.

I am completely dissatisfied with the competence and accountability that I have encountered while dealing with Whirlpool Canada. I ordered a Whirlpool Refrigerator in September of 2011. I opted to switch the door swing myself since it is a relatively simple task and of course they charge you extra if they do it for you. Once I had the door installed, the last step was to screw on the handle. The door was missing the threading which allowed the handle to be installed. I contacted Goehmans to set up a service call. They looked at the fridge only to tell me that they needed to order an entire door. A month and a half later I had not been contacted by anyone regarding the whereabouts of the replacement door.Long story short, over four months later and after hours of phone calls recounting the details of the events numerous times to numerous employees, all Whirlpool had to say over and over again was I understand, but unfortunately we do not provide any compensation.” They said that the warranty only covered repairs and not product replacement, which would be fine if it ever broke but they delivered a fridge that was not built correctly in the first place. They took no responsibility for the lack of quality control. After speaking with the supervisor Josh, and insisting that we be compensated for the inconveniences and frustration, he finally agreed to extend the warranty by 3 months. I told him that they should offer a year extension since if they stood behind their product that it wouldnt even cost them a cent. He politely told me that he understood and what email address did I want the extended warranty information to go to and that he would offer only the 3 month warranty. When I received the email, I found out that I had yet another phone call to make in order to engage the extra 3 month warranty.I am extremely frustrated with the level of service and I feel as though they school their employees to be therapists that offer no solutions. They were all very willing to listen and offer a sympathetic ear, tell you that they understand but not to take action or offer a solution. They seemed to think that it was acceptable that I pay them full price for a fridge but not deliver the full appliance for a projected 6-8 months. In my book and to most consumers, this is not acceptable. When I pay full price for a product, I feel that a full product should be delivered to me in working order. Whirlpool got their money and the special order door seems to be at the low end of their priority list. How else can they justify a 6-8 month wait for part replacement?Somebody please sell Josh a car with no stereo system, make him pay for the option and see if he if he thinks waiting 6-8 months for it is acceptable. Oh yeah, and waste 6-10 hours of his personal time trying find out where the heck his stereo system is then tell him how much you understand. I guess I can stroke Whirlpool off as a brand of appliance for any future purchases.

This is truly a piece of junk! My water heater is 2 1/2 years old and the pilot light will not stay on. Was told that I needed a thermal coupler and paid $30 for shipping. Installed it and still the pilot light will not stay on. Was told again that I needed to replace the main control. Another $30 for shipping. Had that installed and the pilot light stayed on but no hot water. The light was blinking 4x (temperature too hot). WHAT!!? ALL I GOT WAS COLD WATER! Now I was told I need to replace the temperature sensor and they wanted another $30! I told them to I was going to junk it and buy a different brand.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8500DC0 - 2 months out of warranty, 14 months old. Motherboard fried. $300 if I do it myself. $550 to have it done. The unit was $780 on sale. Brand new piece of junk. Zero stars but thats not an option. Quite honestly, it doesnt clean very well and it doesnt rinse very well so we have to rinse twice to get the smell out if we use bleach. So whats the sense in buying a high efficiency washer? I work outdoors and weve had cheap washers in the past that clean much better and lasted many years.

I have had my Kitchenaid dishwasher since April 2010. I have the receipt as proof. I have recently had a professional out to replace a seal in the door, the gasket on the vent and the unit still leaks. The only places left are the metal body and door. I called to say I wanted the warranty honored. I was told one of their servicers had to verify. I agreed. Their servicer came out at the agreed time. He did not bother to protect my hardwood floors from his muddy shoes. He also absolutely wreaked of cigarette smoke. He proceeded to try and push me into paying for the same repairs I had done last week because he would not warranty the parts under warranty unless I paid him to replace parts a week old. I told him he was here to verify the leak not push me into more repair costs. At this point, he began slamming his tool box together and exclaimed Thanks for wasting my time. I called the Kitchenaid warranty number in my pamphlet to see about the warranty. They refused without making me pay for their esteemed professional to do the same work, a real professional already did. The best I was given was 30% off a new appliance. When they wont honor their 20 yr warranty on the one I have, telling me their unprofessional is so much better than the one I used who did protect my floors and treated me with respect, I have no faith left in this company or its servicers. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I plan to be very vocal with this companys refusal to stand behind their products and explicit support of disrespectful servicemen.

This product is JUNK!! We replaced out hot water tank 1-07-11. Worked good for almost 9 months. Then the pilot light keeps going out. We have replaced everything three times already. Now we cant get it lit for nothing. Its blinking 7 times!!! This should not be happening. When you call Whirlpool, you always get some smart ** rep trying to solve your problems over the phone, telling you what its doing. Excuse me, your not here with it, I am. I even had the plumber on the phone, he got so mad at them, he handed me my phone back and said he is not dealing with stupid. They have no clue what they are talking about!! Its crap that we have to pay $30 for them to express mail a part when its the middle of the winter and we have no hot water. Im at my wits end with this hot water tank. Im ready to sue their butts. Sounds like to me by reading all these reviews, a lot of people are having the same issue. We need to do something about this. They had a suite against them but not for my water tank. They were replacing the parts. Ive spent over $1000 from buying it new, having it installed and paying for repairs on the hunk of junk!!!What can we do??? We need to take a stand against Whirlpool. We need to exchange information and contact an attorney and make them pay!!

They told me they don’t send manuals anymore. She referred me to a website to download it from an online site. I told her I don’t have a computer. It would be easier if they can send me something in writing and this lady told me that they don’t. She asked- “and you come to us after two years? What have you been doing in the meantime? “And from then on she was very rude and she transferred me to another lady that was worse! I do not need this! And the fridge is very noisy. My mom is 82. She purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator March 2013. Since her purchase, she has had to have numerous service calls. This was covered by her first yr. warranty. After the first yr., she purchased an extended warranty from Whirlpool. June 24th, 2014, her ice maker and freezer quit. My husband made numerous calls trying to get this fixed. He was switched back and forth from Whirlpool and Assurant. Assurant said it should be under Whirlpool and Whirlpool said Assurant. My mom felt that Whirlpool should have taken care of this problem. The refrigerator was a lemon. It was a French door style with bottom drawer freezer. We finally called the local dealer, whom she purchased it from, and he took it back. Gave her substantial credit toward another refrigerator, not Whirlpool! Very disappointed in Whirlpool... Will never purchase another appliance with this name!!!

I was very excited about the performance of the washer as far as reduced water usage and reduced electric usage. After about 6 months though, I couldnt figure out why a lot of clothes, sheets and drapes came out with streaks on them. Very expensive to replace! Of course, the business I bought them from tried to get me to buy all types of fixes that had nothing to do with the problem and therefore couldnt answer me why this was happening. I purchased this Whirlpool Gold Series Refrigerator WRF990SLAMCO in 2012 and it cost me $2400.00 from Lowes. Worst purchase I ever made!!! I will never again purchase or recommend a Whirlpool product. I paid for extended service agreement from Lowes. Before the first year was over, ice was forming on the inside roof of the refrigerator and the whole cooling system/grid needed to be replaced. Then the cooling system went out, followed by the ice maker (PS the ice bucket container was rusted within the first year), then the whole electrical panel on the front of the refrigerator where the ice/water dispenser is.For the last three weeks I have had water leaking out of the top of the refrigerator adjacent to the water filter. My home warranty wont cover. It is a $400.00 repair to replace the circuit that attaches from the water filter. I called Whirlpool 2/14/2017 to complain about the product. She tells me that there havent been any complaints logged about the refrigerator. Seriously??? Read your reviews! The gal on the phone offered a discount to purchase a NEW PRODUCT! Are you serious??? I purchased my Cabrio washer and dryer 2 1/2 years ago, and for the past 6 months, I have dealt with it being unbalanced and I tried everything to get it balanced. When I researched the problems, I found so many other consumers are having the same problems and that Whirlpool will do nothing about it. I decided to start a petition on Change website to try to force Whirlpool to stand behind their product and correct the problem, offer us a refund or another product, or even fix the darn thing. It is tough economic times, and we spent money to have something that was energy-efficient as well as a product that is supposed to carry a good name. I am a single mother with three children, and I dont have a $1000.00 to throw away after 2 years. This is shameful that we, the consumers, have to deal with this. Please go to the Change website and sign my petition. The more signatures I get, the more leverage we have to deal with Whirlpool. Lets pull together and show Whirlpool we will not stand for them robbing us of a quality product. Thank you so very much.

Aqualift self clean oven??? I followed the directions on how to clean my oven. I wiped and scraped out spilled residue from the oven. Then started the cleaning process. The sides of the oven were not cleaned even when I wiped them with a damp cloth. Scrubbing and scraping with the tools that came with the oven helped somewhat. The bottom of the oven was not cleaned. I had to continually scrub and scrape to get it looking half clean and even then, there were still spots that would not clean away. I would have preferred an oven that uses oven cleaner, it gets the oven much cleaner and with less scrubbing on my part. All in all I am very dissatisfied with the oven and would never recommend it.

Electrolux dishwasher model EI24ID50QS - My husband picked this dishwasher after reading all the good reviews. However, after having issues with it, I tried to post my review and it would not post. I think Electrolux is somehow only posting good reviews and leaving out the bad. I had a technician come out to see why it took 6 hours to go through the cycle along with not cleaning the dishes well. He said I needed to run hot water before starting the cycle and that I needed to prewash my dishes before loading. In other words, its not a dishwasher but a sanitizer. Keep in mind that I rinse my dishes before loading, so I dont have food particles stuck dry on my dishes. So, I used his method of running hot water before cycle is started. It works ok when you dont use your kitchen faucet during the dishwashing cycle. However, the minute you use your faucet, the dishwasher runs for 6 hours! This is the worst dishwasher ever! Not to mention, the control panel is so sensitive that if you accidentally touch a cycle to start, you cant get it to cancel. It is ridiculous. Dont buy! It will be your biggest mistake.

On July 30, 2009, we purchased a Whirlpool Gold French door refrigerator with the freezer drawer on the bottom. It was delivered on August 1, 2009. On August 3, 2009, the ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. After three unsuccessful service calls and the installation of various replacement parts, Whirlpool gave up the effort to fix the ice maker and water dispenser and delivered a new replacement refrigerator on October 15, 2009. Todays date is April 14, 2012 and here we go again, the ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. Luckily, I purchased a five year warranty on the unit. However, after reading all of the posts about fire hazard issues and other various issues with Whirlpool refrigerators, well probably go out and buy a new refrigerator and write-off the $2,500 that we spent for this refrigerator as a bad investment. We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator based upon their reputation of providing sound products. I purchased by first Whirlpool Cabrio washer in 2007 with an extended warranty (my husband did not want me to buy). Thank goodness I did. The machine had repeated issues to the point that the service repairman and I were on first name basis. Finally, the mother board went out. The rust on the sides was excessive and of course my expensive sheets and towels were being shredded. Lowe’s extended warranty plan did honor this and replaced my machine with a new Cabrio washer (big mistake!). The new machine; receipt for this was over $1,600.00, including the new extended warranty that ends in 2014, was bought on 3-25-09. It now requires a new drum and bearings which are being replaced today (9-19-12); however, the corrosion is just as bad and my clothes are still being shredded. Oh, also the lid no longer locks and to get the machine to actually run. I have to physically hold down the lid until the lid locks. The repairman said that there is nothing he can do as the company will not repair this or replace the machine again under warranty! The joints where the lid attaches have rusted through and that is why the lid cant lock. The whole lid needs to be replaced and the company says it would cost about the same as a new machine about $690.00. What a rip-off this company is for the consumer! I will never, ever deal with Whirlpool again and I mean never, ever again! (sans Taylor Swift)!

If you are considering a Cabrio washing machine, save yourself the aggravation and buy something else. I purchased a Cabrio model WTW5640X from Lowes 2 years ago. It has been one disappointment after another. First, the clothes were coming out really wrinkled and not fully rinsed. I now routinely use the extra rinse cycle. I also started washing very small loads with hardly any soap (and yes, I use the HE detergent). That works for me, but its not practical for a household of more than 2.This machine is also not for anyone with kids or who expects to remove routine soils. It doesnt clean well. White socks start looking dingy after a few washes, and even the hot cycle with bleach doesnt get whites white. Now, the washer has started shutting off with the clothes still soaking wet. I can press the Drain & Spin cycle to get it finish the job, but that adds another 13 minutes to the 63 minutes it already takes for a regular cycle with the extra rinse. I so wish I had not replaced my 15 year old Kenmore.

We bought our Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine and dryer in October 2010 and it was the worst purchase we have ever made. We had two worthless calls to Whirlpool and all the regular brain-dead suggestions that do not improve function. We have had a technician out to our home and we have the extended warranty. The technician stated that the machine will never function properly and Whirlpool knows this. The low water level prevents washing, rinsing. The problems with the washing machine are many and the required multiple washes and rinses make the claim for low energy usage false advertising. It leaves white streaks on dark clothes constantly and has residue on everything from sheets to silks, no matter the cycle. Theres not enough water which covers the clothes, so clothes do not get clean. The spin cycle is so violent that clothes are damaged. The soak cycle is a joke. Soaking means to sit in water and soak. This machine drains the water so there is no soaking. With this very expensive machine, we can use only one cycle; bulky items on the low spin with a repeat rinse. According to the technician, these complaints are what they respond to all day, everyday. There is no mechanical fix for this design flawed machine. If you are looking at buying this machine, dont! The machine has ruined lots of laundry. Do not waste your money or your time. I would like my money back. The Whirlpool company definitely plays dumb on the customer service calls. Its a non-functional washer as it damages laundry and has false claim for low energy usage.

We purchased Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Model #WTW7300DW0 and Dryer in 2013 from Home Depot. The washer is the worst appliance we ever owned. It makes a horrific metal rubbing noise during agitation. The Whirlpool assigned repair service provider, after 2 trips and $300 has been unsuccessful in repairing the problem. Even after he called Whirlpool direct for assistance. Given that we used a Home Depot Gift Card for purchase, the repair expense is rapidly diminishing any benefit to keeping the machine. Well not even consider purchasing Whirlpool again.

This is new and replaced an old model that was not doing the job. This new one seems to be ever so much better. The dishes are clean and I no longer have a white residue on the dishes and utensils. It is easy to load. I miss having a silverware separator for the holder because the silverware tends to be too close to each other. I always rinse things well before putting them into the machine because I usually run the machine about once a week. Overall, this is a good machine for the price I paid. I am loyal to Whirlpool and this one on sale was a very good value. Very pleased.

In August of 2008 I purchased a Whirlpool Amana refrigerator, Model# ABR2227FES. It worked great for exactly 6 years. In Aug of 2014, the motherboard needed to be replaced as it was not forcing a defrost when needed. I tried to get a refund on the cost of the part and labour but both were refused. In Dec 2016, just two and half years after the motherboard was replaced, the exact same problem re-occurred. Again I tried to get a refund on the cost of the part and labour but both were refused. Will I be buying this refrigerator in the future? A definite no!!!

I purchased this set in November 2013, it is now October 2014. I made the same mistake as many others have made (according to the reviews that I have read on this site). Because I have owned Whirlpool brand appliances before - including washers/dryers - I assumed this new HE machine set would be every bit as good + quality. Unfortunately, I did not do my homework!Everyone is right - this Cabrio HE washer/dryer combo is nothing more than expensive JUNK!. My complaints are all the same as everyone elses: the clothes do not get clean, soap residue remains on clothes, the clothes even have parts of the articles come out of the wash cycle dry not even having had the water touch the articles in areas! The dryer has been repaired once already for a dryer sensor problem & overheating, now both the washer & dryer are making some ridiculous hum-drum noises! Even with the extended warranty that I purchased, I can see the loop holes built into it; theyve got me over a barrel with the nonsense mumble-jumble tactics of having to qualify for adequate service repairs for replacement of parts (3x on each machine) they cant find, before even attempting to negotiate a buyout that will never happen. Never again, Whirlpool anything!!!

Suddenly I get a person who sounds enthusiastic about customer service after a day of writing bad reviews on Lowes and Whirlpool sites and as many consumer review sites as I could find! I had even called Lowes corporate offices! A repairman is coming out tomorrow (after being told that one could not show up until September!) to check the NEW refrigerator that has frozen all of my produce and soften my frozen foods! I am 12 miles from the nearest town and took over half of my food for the month to the dumpster site today because it was spoiled. If you have a problem and no one has instructions to help you or is listening or even cares.....MAKE NOISE! IT WORKS. There also used to be hundreds of negative Google reviews, but mysteriously all of those reviews have disappeared, and you can no longer leave a Google review for Whirlpool Corporation.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Model # GI6SARXXF 04 Ice Maker - About nine months after purchasing this unit the ice maker began to stop working. I researched what the issue might be. During this time, the ice maker decided to begin working again. This occurred again about 15 months into ownership. At 19 months into ownership, the ice maker no longer works after approximately 5 weeks. Whirlpool will not allow me to purchase an extended warranty. I was told by a CR on the phone. However, she did offer a Repair +1 service contract that cost $345.55. I advised the CR that on the Whirlpool website, I was offered an extended warranty for 2 years for approximately $165.00. After waiting for her to check into my claim of being offered the extended warranty for about 10 minutes, she came back to advise me that no existing issues would be covered. In other words, my $2000.00+ Whirlpool refrigerator is so crappy that Whirlpool only offers a 1 year warranty. And unless I pay $345.55 and/or a service tech charging $129 for a trip charge only, I will not have a working ice maker. Additionally, the capacity for ice storage is extremely small, even for my 2 person household. At times, the ice comes out crushed even though the setting is for cubed ice. The ice shoot is great for taller glasses, but if trying to use a shorter glass, watch out! You will have ice all over your floor every time!

Looked for the best refrig we could find and it turned out to be a piece of junk! Less than 3 years old, paid 2700$, french doors bottom door freezer. It started making a lot of noise it seem to be coming from freezer. Called Whirlpool, they said to clean coils. We wanted a repair company to come out. They set an appointment for next Tuesday between 12pm and 5pm. Said ok.Was making so much noise, and no longer freezing everything so call said company. Lady was very rude, and said they would not be out on Tuesday but sometime the following week. This would not work for us so called another repair shop, said they would be out. They were here before 6pm. Found out that they have been having this problem, had same type of call already this week. Repair for this problem would be over $1100.00. No thank you! Would just as soon junk this appliance. So very sorry we wasted our money on this.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio set 3 years ago based on their brand reputation and consumer reports. It has been a terrible experience since the moment the warranty expired. First, about 1 month after warranty expired, I had to replace the main electrical board. Then about 3 weeks ago, the drain pump failed. I purchased the $110 pump and installed it myself. Now this week, the spin cycle sounded like a jet engine. I took it apart to find that the bearings were shot on the drive shaft. I figured, well it is just a wear item, understandable right? So I went to order parts and got told that I have to order the whole outer tub for $250 with shipping! For some bearings! I called Whirlpool directly and was given no explanation other than Call some parts distributors. They may be able to help you get the bearing separate, but we dont do that and there is nothing that we can do. Amazing. I equate that to having a faulty brake on my car and being told that I have to replace the whole axle!Fortunately, the washer never really did a great job. It was loud and tore clothes up, so the decision to part ways was not too difficult. I have the list of brands they make and will be sure to never buy another. Im selling this one for parts. Im sure there are others out there that will need a pump and control board soon!

I bought a Whirlpool fridge 4/23/2013. Thanksgiving it went out. I had a repair company come look at it to see how much it would be to repair. He said the compressor was out, it has a freon leak, and the electric board has a relay that is acting up. Basically it would cost $600 or more to fix. I only paid $750, mind you. Whirlpool customer service said if we pay to have it fixed then send them the paid receipt. They would then give me a 6 month service plan for future repairs if needed. I hope this review makes it to the president of Whirlpool! My husband and I built our first home and finally moved into it on April 22, 2017. We saved everywhere we could and I did my best to research my appliances. I was so excited to buy a BIG refrigerator for our family of five, (3 are hungry teenagers!) after years of using a smaller side-by-side. We went with the 31.5-cu ft French door/drawer with dual icemakers, model #WRF993FIFM. The original price was $3,599 but we got it on sale for $2,298 at Home Depot. After only 5 months it stopped cooling! I woke up one morning to find a fridge full of spoiled food!! After waiting 3 weeks I had 2 different repairmen come out and have been told that it is un-repairable due to two parts that are needed, one of which is on back order indefinitely. Ive called Whirlpool numerous times and only get the run around and Im sorry mam we cant do anything else. So Im just supposed to be without my refrigerator until who knows when?! The first 2 weeks of this crap we had to live out of Igloo coolers on our back porch. That meant no buying real groceries, only milk and juice and drinks. Thankfully the awesome people at Home Depot brought us a loaner, which is an apartment size fridge, to use while we wait. So now I just have to walk across the house to my garage every time I need something, and I cant buy much food because it wont fit!! Im so disgusted with how Whirlpool is handling this!!! Not only did we buy our fridge but we also went with Whirlpool for our stove, dishwasher and microwave, and we already owned a newer Whirlpool washer and dryer set. We spent thousands of dollars and cant even get them to exchange this piece of junk! Come on Whirlpool, surely you dont treat all your customers this way!? Do the right thing and let us have a replacement!!!

When I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dry, I was told by the sale
When I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dry, I was told by the sales associate that this was the top of the line. I paid a higher price for what I thought was quality only to find out that this washing machine (WTW6600SW2) Serial number CU2973872 is in fact poor quality, made of components that are cheap, unreliable and made to last only as long as the initial warranty. Prior to buying Whirlpool, I owned Kenmore and had a washer and dry that raised four kids, now I own a Top of the line Cabrio that cant wash the clothes of two adults. I think it is funny that two days after the washer started sounding like a jet plane taking off during the spin cycle, I received your sign up for an extended warranty letter. Then I take the washer apart to locate the trouble and find it is a single bearing on the top of the drive shaft, but can I buy the bearing and replace it? No, I have to buy the entire outer tub and drive shaft. So a $10.00 bearing will now cost me $200.00. I am sure that helps your profit margins considering all you have to do is a search for Cabrio problems to find 350,000 hits, or to ask a professional technician and receive the reply that they are replacing 2-3 of these tub and drive shafts per week. I would recommend that Whirlpool tell its shareholders that you have compromised customer satisfaction to line their pockets with profits. If that was your intent then you have succeeded, however you need to also tell them to sell their shares now as you will have no return customers. Most corporations have core values that deal with safety first and then always followed by quality. I can say with confidence that your quality can be nowhere near the top five with this many problems with your top of the line product.
