I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Model GB2FHDXWB07 a little over 2 years ago. The first one did not work properly within 6 hours of being turned on. Every few minutes it sounded like the compressor was trying to kick on so it hummed then shut off. Best Buy wanted to fix it but after much arguing with them and Whirlpool they brought me a new refrigerator. Now, the same thing is happening. Best Buy has no record of me purchasing it and Whirlpool has no record of me registering the warranty, which would be outdated anyway (over 1 measly year). So, they offered me a Repair and one year warranty $329.95 which means Im now up to about $1500 for a basic refrigerator that has not even lasted 2 1/2 years. The other option to fix it is to pay a local company $90 for the trip and diagnosis plus parts and labor. That will be around $550 depending on how fast the technician works. I will never buy another Whirlpool anything. My washer and dryer also have had problems but I wont even go into that here. The one good thing is the poor girl who took my call was very nice and acted as if this is a regular occurrence. Good luck if you buy a Whirlpool. They are garbage.

In 2008, we purchased a Whirlpool Gas Water Heater from Lowes. Three years later the tank started leaking (this water heater had a 6-year warranty). Per Whirlpools instructions we were to return this one to Lowes for a refund (in hindsight we should have taken the money & went elsewhere to purchase a better brand!). As our plumber was removing the leaking heater we went to Lowes to purchase a new Whirlpool Water Heater upgrading to one with a 12-year warranty hoping that this one would last, it was advertised as the BEST one Lowes sells! After our plumber swapped out the heaters we returned the leaking water heater for our refund (remember this one had a 6-year warranty & only lasted 3 years). This past June (2015) our water heater stopped working, turns out the thermocouple went out which shuts the gas valve off. Called 5 plumbing companies in the Metro Phoenix area, not a single one would work on it! We researched the repair, called Whirlpool & was told that this water heater was out of warranty. Wait a minute! This one has a 12-year warranty & it is only 4 years old! Whirlpool told me that it is a replacement water heater so the warranty for this water heater is only 6 years (from the 2008 date of the purchase of the first water heater). It didnt matter that the replacement water heater was a different model & was more expensive than what was refunded to us. We replaced the thermocouple ourselves & got it going again. Last week it started leaking, called Whirlpool again got the runaround again, called a plumber who replaced it with a new Ruud for $1000.00 (Water heater + Labor). We went back to Lowes to try to get their help resolving this, the store manager said this was a Whirlpool warranty issue. We ended up taking the junk Whirlpool water heater to a recycling facility and getting $2.50 for it. Bottom LINE!! READ THE REVIEWS, THEY ARE TRUE!!! There was a class action lawsuit with a settlement of which I never received a notice for, I read about it online this summer, but it was too late to opt in. Dont waste your money on Whirlpool water heaters, no one will repair them, Lowes wont stand behind the products on their shelves, they get your money & hide behind the manufacturer & Whirlpool has very nice script to get you off of phone! Whirlpool used to be a trusted brand (do your research, I think they are the manufacturer for certain store brands! ). Our new Ruud water heater has a faster recovery than either of the Whirlpools that weve had; the drain valve is brass, not plastic like the whirlpool, it is overall a much higher quality.

Maybe they make some higher end ovens but ours was not one of them. The oven light fixture works intermittently and its only been 8 months that we have had it. The insulation on the oven is lacking as well. You can turn the oven off at 450 and within 15 mins its already below 200.

My Whirlpool dishwasher is only 2.5 years old. The first 1.5 years we were not full time in the house, so the dishwasher has not been used much. The touch pad went bad already and it was $450 to fix. Whirlpool sent me an email after I vented and it was a cookie cutter reply. They dont care that the appliance was manufactured with a faulty pad. We never buy service agreements because we feel an expensive item like this should last the term of service agreement if made correctly. No more Whirlpool purchases for us!

I paid a lot of money for this because I thought it would be high quality and last for quite a while without problems. First of all, you HAVE to open the right door before the left door and then remember to ALWAYS close the left door first and then the right door. If you dont the doors dont close well and your refrigerator gets hot AND THERE IS NO BUZZER OR ALARM TO TELL YOU THE DOORS ARENT CLOSED. After 2 years the freezer repeatedly freezes up and then the refrigerator heats up. My repairman says the controls on this refrigerator are WAY odd and instead of just buying an inexpensive part (defrost timer for example for $50) he need to order the entire control for probably 3 time more. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TROUBLE. BUY ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHIRLPOOL GOLD.

We purchased our Consumer Reports rated #1 best washer, seven yrs. ago with a five-yr warranty. We have had nothing but repair after repair starting in the first year. The mother board replaced twice, the entire inside had been replaced within four years. It is only a household of three, the washer looks like new! The machine is now making a noise like a freight train... We had a repairman out $95.00 just to look at it! Cost of repair $1,116.21!!!! More than what the machine is worth. The replacement parts wore out in the last 2.5 yrs, again poor design. I contacted Whirlpool during the last repair issue and demanded a full replacement. The customer service rep, as RUDE as can be, checked with her higher-ups and said they would replace it for $845.00!!! WHAT A JOKE. I could buy a new one for that! The repair person said they are one of the highest repair units and the most costly out of warranty. He had one with the same issue just two days prior. I will never buy another Whirlpool product or purchase from H&H Gregg. They sold our warranty twice losing all of our repair records! It looks like I had an extra load size dumped on me!

We purchased our Whirlpool french door refrigerator with bottom freezer, model number WRF990SLAM02, from Lowes in August 2013. In November 2013 we noticed a pool of water on the floor, resulting from what looked like a leak coming from the ice maker. After contacting customer service, they sent a repair company to service the fridge. This rep stayed no longer than 5 minutes and barely looked at the appliance. He said this is a known issue by the company, they have since implemented a fix in the newer models, and it just needed one replacement part and would be good as new. It did NOT fix the problem, it continued to worsen to the point where the freezer is no longer working. I have a freezer full of defrosted food that is not safe to eat. Whirlpool finally agreed (after 3 months) to send another repair company to look at the fridge. This rep took over an hour thoroughly examining the appliance and concluded that it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced; otherwise, we could expect the same issue to keep recurring. Whirlpool did agree to replace the fridge, but has not been able to provide a timeframe. I was contacted by a representative from the product replacement line named Alisha, but she has never answered her phone I have returned her calls. I finally got a representative on the line who informed me I need to wait until I get a call letting me know the replacement product is in-stock. That was 3 weeks ago, and this morning I woke up to a huge water leak coming from the fridge. Whirlpool has deflected the issue off to Lowes, where I purchased it, and said they will have no further contact with me regarding the appliance. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again. They seemingly left a faulty product on the market and failed to inform me about the known issue. Then they failed to quickly provide needed repair or replacement in a timely manner. They also refuse to reimburse me for the food loss, which would not have ever occurred had they handled the issue appropriately from the beginning. TERRIBLE company.

These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together
These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together which they attempt to do in a minute amount of water. They destroy the fabric, pull the seam out of shape, wrinkle them beyond the point of wearable, do not get them clean and do not get all the detergent out. I have had clothes come out partially dry. They also do not dilute the fabric softener, leaving unremovable stains on your clothes. In addition, they take forever to do a load of clothes even without the extra rinse you need if you want any hope of getting the clothes rinsed. The dryer is the slowest dryer I have ever had. The steam refresh that is supposed to get the hideous wrinkles out of your clothes does not put steam into the dryer. Instead, it sets the dryer to the highest heat so that those clothes you did not want on high heat are now getting it; then it shoots bursts, yes large bursts, of water on them. Your clothes come out a combination of still wrinkles and wet. If you hear of a class action suit, please contact me. These machines should be recalled.

My new fridge is extremely hard to open. The technician that was sent out told me that there is too much suction building up inside the fridge and freezer and that is why it has to be yanked to open. This is not only annoying it means the fridge is constantly being pulled forward out of place. Technicians solution was to deactive the castors under the fridge. At the time he was here I did not realize that I could then no longer move the fridge out of its place to clean. I called Whirlpool and complained and was told that they could do nothing more for me because the fridge is in good working order. I hardly would call this good working order. They also informed me that if I wished to clean under the fridge or the coils at the back it would require a service call to move the fridge and I WOULD BE CHARGED EACH TIME. Needless to say I AM VERY, VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE WHOLE SITUATION.

My refrigerator will be 3 years old in September. It stopped working two months after my warranty ended, in November Thanksgiving Day. I was so thankful that I had snow on my deck to keep everything cold. I had several family members in my house and watching my husband defrost a frost-free frig? This was a nightmare. Then a few weeks later, my husband company refrigerators did the same thing: freeze up and stop working. He defrosted theirs as well.I know that lots of consumers have had the same issue with any of the bottom freezer refrigerator doing the same thing. I think we, consumers, should make these company recall these lemons. Why should we have to pay more and buy more our parents had their appliances last for years. He had done this approximately 3 times since my warranty ended in September of last year. The problem is the food goes bad, the freezer ices up, causing the refrigerator to ice up and stop the air flow.I contacted the company and this is what they told me: I had to pay $295.12 to get the repair completed. It was the DEF control board. I guess others have the compressor go out and that cost over $600 to fix. Why is it our fault as a consumer buying their products promised and concern for 1 year, not 10 years. It is no wonder why America is broke? My question to the Whirlpool was, how on earth can this be the consumers fault? Here is their reply:According to the model and serial number provided, we do not indicate that there are any known recalls with this particular model. A recall requires that a product poses a threat to a persons life or health. Since this is not the case in this instance, we do not have a recall. Once a product warranty has expired, any costs for maintenance, service, or component replacements are then within the owners time frame of responsibility. Taking this into consideration, I regret to inform you that due to the age of the product, we will be unable to assist with the cost of the repair. If you have purchased an extended warranty, we would recommend contacting your extended warranty provider directly to discuss the options they provide.Oh, they sent me a postcard asking if the repair service I received was good... Yes, the company who came out did a fantastic job. I think I may have to call them back; it is acting up again. I have 90 day warranty....

I am waiting for the third repair on my front-load washer. I purchased them a year ago and was very satisfied with the ease of use. But in April of this year, the E2F3 started flashing up after I put in a load of clothes. I called the repair line and they sent a guy to check it. Determining it was a sensor, I waited three days for the repair. Then, almost two months later, now, it did this again. He called WP and they said to replace the sensor again. I waited two days for the repair. Before he left, he started the washer to run through the cycle - no problem. I then put in a small load of clothes, and almost immediately, the washer stopped and the E2F3 was flashing again. I called for a repair, and am again waiting (without a washer) for the repairman to come back on Tuesday!!!Today is Friday. I have been four weeks almost without a washer this year. Thats also the $20 I have spent this last week to wash clothes at the laundromat, not to mention the frustration of waiting for the warranty line to pick up and the hassle of having someone here when the repairman comes. I am glad I purchased an extended warranty for this product, but Whirlpool should make their products to last!

We purchased a KitchenAid KFIS29PBMS00 in August of 2013. By March of 2014 it had stopped freezing and producing ice. Sent out a technician (mind you each technician has to come twice, once to diagnose and then to repair). They determined that all of the panels and ice maker needed replaced. Did so with no resolution. Placed another call. This technician determined that the compressor was bad. Installed a new one on April 10th. The fridge worked for 30 days. Stopped freezing and producing ice. Placed the 3rd service call. Was told that the new compressor was bad. Technician showed up on June 5th to replace it but did not have one with him. He was told by Whirlpool that they had discovered a wiring problem and that if the Serial number begins with K322 -K335 yours is one of them. We are K324. He ran a serious tests and contacted Whirlpool. I was told it is not in Whirpools hands. LUCKY ME NOT. It is now June 19th, I have made 2 additional calls to KitchenAid after not hearing anything back was told that I was in the process of receiving a new fridge and that I would get a phone call. After nothing I called back again. After 47 minutes I was transferred to a Supervisor. According to her while we were on the phone, she ordered a new refrigerator. No upgrade, compensation or a care in the world for the consumer. I will NEVER purchase a Whirlpool appliance again. I expect to have to call back again.

We bought a Whirlpool front door open washer machine from Best Buy on Oct. 2, 2011. We didnt start to use until our basement got finished. In November when the basement was ready, we found out that the machine didnt work at all. We called A&E factory service as suggested by Best Buy. They sent technicians 3 times in 2 months to check the machine. Now, it is 3 months later since we purchased the machine, the machine is still not working. We contacted Whirlpool, and they would not exchange to another machine, instead, they told us they will send another technician to check it once again. This machine costs us $800 before tax, but until now, it is still not working. Can you tell us what to do? We called Best Buy and they said this machine is under factorys warranty. So we called A& E service, who said that if Whirlpool called them, they will tell them it cannot be fixed. However, they need Whirlpool to call them because they work for Whirlpool. Is 3 month waiting not enough for a brand new machine to get fixed? And the worst thing is we still owe money to Best Buy creditor. Please help us to get rid of this! Thanks!

I have many rentals, and for over 39 years have always bought Whirlpool dishwashers for them and my own home. I have noticed over the last 15 years or so they are getting more and more poorly made. First I quit buying the plastic tub ones because they collected mold on the back. Then putting one in a rental, we went through 3 brand new ones that all leaked before we got a good one. Now, I bought the very best for my home 2 years ago, had the pump replaced under warranty due to leaks. Now, the plastic upper rack wheel has snapped off its plastic base. For under 30 dollars you get a replacement kit for it, that is all metal. So why didnt Whirlpool just put in the metal ones and charge a little more. So this will be my last Whirlpool, and all the brands they make. Do your research, many of the name brands you know are all made by Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine in November, 2015 and today, I had a repair person out who said the bearing had ruptured and the washing machine cannot be repaired - 2 1/2 years later. Contacted Whirlpool Customer Service who would do nothing other than try to explain to me that I should have purchased an extended warranty as they could not stand behind the machine past the one year. Would not even offer sending a tech out on their dime to confirm what my repairman had said that this is a failed production process of these machines - it was nothing that I had done caused this issue. But yet they wanted to sell me another machine. It will be a cold day before I purchase another Whirlpool product.I was shocked at the lack of customer service to assist with a situation that both the location I purchased it from and my own repair tech said that they are seeing so often with these machines. I would never purchase another item from Whirlpool again nor would I recommend any of their items. I will go to great lengths to give others the background on how Whirlpool will not stand behind their products, lack of customer service to resolve a situation or can work outside of what is given to them to correct a situation - this is not OK!

Purchased this beautiful sleek Cabrio washer in May 2012 from Appliance Smart, with its modern looking glass top, it looked so nice. The washer itself works ok for now, but it does unbalance a lot, thats not main issue. We deal with that. The poor design of holding that sleek glass top in is the problem. After a little over two years, it started cracking at the hinge that is just mounted in Plastic which holds the whole lid down, including the heavy glass. The glass started raising up, causing steam to escape. The lid is rubbing and very difficult to open. Appliance Smart is gone now.. We called the service repair person about 6 months ago, he looked at it, said its a problem that is not covered on our warranty and it would be approx $350.00 to repair!! So today, tomorrow or next week it will stop working because the lid is popping off! Its a terrible design, dont be fooled by its sleek look. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for this major design flaw. Beware, the very thing you need to be fixed wont be covered under warranty, lemon law, or just good customer service. We have owned several Whirlpool appliances and doubt that we will own one again, due to the way this issue was handled by Whirlpool.

I bought the Cabrio Platinum Set approximately 3 yrs ago. These is the worst products I have bought ever. The dryer didnt dry properly since day 1 w/the energy saver setting. I have always had to run a time dry in order to get properly dried clothing. Sometimes things still come out damp. The washer well the washer as I said the WORST product EVER. Approximately 3 yrs old and it leaks all over my laundry room unless surrounded by towels to suck up the water. During the wash it has the worst smell ever. And while spinning it jumps around and is so loud, you can hear it all through my 3 story home. We have complained we have written, emailed, called and have been offered nothing. I can honestly say I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product again ever. The least they could do is stand by their product. For the price of this set it should have lasted much much longer. I had a Kenmore washer and dryer set that we bought it was not even top of the line I would say probably a cheaper model of theirs that lasted 10+ yrs we bought it brand new and my friend bought it when I changed to a front loader which by the way was one of the cheaper ones but was still better than this piece of **. It started breaking about 1 yr after we bought it. We have already fixed a few things but will not spend another dime on it. Now its not even cleaning. I now have to buy yet another washer. The broiler came on its own during the night. We went to bed at midnight. 4:30 in the morning woke up to a smell, the broiler was going wide open. It had melted the handle off the front of the drawer. There are cookie sheets in the broiler. We dont use it, we have never used it, it was so hot Teflon on the cookie sheets burnt off. The side of the stove was so hot I couldnt touch it to get behind to turn off the gas. It almost burnt my house down. The carpet and the wall are black in the back.

I purchased the GBS309PVS single oven in Dec. 09 along with a Whirlpool Gold microwave, dishwasher, and stove top. The oven was dented and scratched, so another one was delivered on 1/10/10. I finally decided to use the cleaning cycle in Oct. 10. It burned out the circuit board and something else. It was under warranty and repaired. I was afraid to use it again, but tried it yesterday, 12/27/2011. It smelled horrible, knocked the power out of the oven, and the door will not unlock. Customer service was not very kind and said that I had to purchase a $269 warranty and they would send someone out. I did, unwillingly. Well see what happens on Friday. If this is not resolved, I will go further. This is a faulty part of the manufacturing and should be handled as so.

I love my Whirlpool Washing machine. Purchased it 2 yrs ago & have not had any issues. Its quiet, large capacity. Washes my clothes very clean. The various washing cycles makes it so convenient to wash as much or as little as I need on any occasion. I do recommend to anyone that you do the cleaning cycle on these new washers to ensure top performance when washing.

On July 19, I was forced to buy a new washer. Bought a Frigidaire which, when connected to the water supply, started immediately dumping water into the drum. Sent this defective washer back to the retailer and chose a new Whirlpool. O-M-I-G-O-S-H! It was delivered on 25 July and despite having 4 temperature settings, it only worked on either hot or cold AND you could never tell what temperature was going to be chosen by this computerized wonder. I repeatedly called Customer Support and received three different answers on what temperature was considered warm. The answers ranged from 65 to 102 degrees. Also, you could open the lid when the water was running in, which washers are no longer supposed to do. Whirlpool then arranged for A & D Service to come and repair my NEW washer and scheduled an appointment for a week later. I was forced to call that company to find out if they were even coming. When they did not show as promised, I cancelled the appointment and called Whirlpool to ask for another service company. They then scheduled me for two weeks later (now August 30th). The guy did come and told me there was user error - I had used too much soap as this was an HE washer. I asked him to show me where on the appliance and in the owners manual that it stated the washer was an HE. He couldnt find it either and said he would replace the computer and the door lock because his computer found that the washer was hit and miss on anything it was set on. At any rate, it is a little over a week later and I have heard nothing from the repairman and, of course, no follow-up from Whirlpool. Do not make the mistake of buying any Whirlpool product, and that now encompasses names such as Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, Kitchen-Aid and many more if you want to be assured of a quality product and excellent customer service. What if this had been a refrigerator? The whole debacle has been a nightmare. Wish I had bought a GE!

We bought our washer about 3 years ago brand new from Lowes. Like others, I have had problems with holes in clothing and spots that looked like grease. It worked well up until recently when we noticed some brown splatters on the floor. Shortly after it made a loud noise like a plane taking off and the load would become unbalanced. We researched and found many people were having issues with the bearings going bad. My husband was going to order parts to fix it but you have to have a special tool that is expensive to buy... It was going to be almost $200 to repair ourselves! He called a washing machine repair man and he said he doesnt even touch them because the repair wont last. I guess were going to be better off buying a new washer. There really needs to be a recall on this product!!!

Less than 2 years old; a loud chirp began and the water dispenser stopped working, along with the ice. Repairman came out--ordered a part. One week later another repairman; another part. One week later another repairman--couldnt fix the problem. By now no cooling in the refrigerator at all. Tech line has to review the findings. Have heard nothing after nearly 3 weeks without a fridge, ruined food, and no ice other than my back yard!

We purchased 29.7 cu. ft. side by side in February 2013. Ever since we got it, there is an excessive amount of moisture that builds up in the refrigerator section. It is to the point that the bottom shelf must be dried every other day; otherwise water spills out the front. Most of the moisture forms around the cold air duct work leading in from the freezer. We placed collection containers under the duct work which helped a little. We also tried various temperature settings, still no help. We tried online support and were given many excuses for the excess moisture. Support advised to change the defrost cycle, which we did and failed to correct problem. Support finally threw up their hands and said to call for service. Unfortunately, we were advised since the unit was purchased in Florida and shipped out of the country, the warranty was void. Try and get service in the Bahamas! Ha! This will be the last Whirlpool product we will ever buy.

We have just built a new home and have spent a ton of money on appliances. I so wish I had looked up the reviews on this Whirlpool Cabrio Washer before we bought it. It makes a very loud annoying sound through at least a third of the cycle (which I was just told by Whirlpool is the normal agitating sound). We have also had to have service out here twice in the first few months because some of the clothes come out dirty in areas that were folded over because of lack of water even on the high water setting. It also, ripped my favorite white blouse right in half. Trust me DONT buy it, you will be sorry.

We bought a Whirlpool French door fridge model WRF989SDAM00 in 2013 and were impressed by how it looked in our kitchen. Its December 2015 and things have started to go wrong. First the freezer stopped freezing items completely and found out that ice had built up on the cooling tubes inside the rear freezer wall. Had to be taken apart and thawed with a heat gun. Now the freezer freezes on and off and the ice maker is not making ice properly and leaking all over the left side of the fridge. Went to Sears {place of purchase} and we were asked immediately if we had purchased the extended warranty. We hadnt and were told Sears could do nothing and that these newer fridges have a tendency to have trouble within the first couple of years and thats why they recommend the extended warranties. Really a $2500 dollar fridge a couple of years? Had a local appliance repairman look at it and he said the compressor was bad. $500.00 to fix. Boy do I regret buying this thing. These big companies just walk all over us consumers.

As described in many similar instances found on numerous complaint boards (including this one), Whirlpool has defective over the range microwave convection ovens (model # GMH6185XVS) with faulty magnatrons. I have had the exact same experience with a new product failing at 16 months (the first time) and within 6 months failing again. Whirlpool is not concerned about their consumers, only their money. They are more than happy to sell an extended warranty, but are not willing to work with customers that have lemon products.I tried working with Whirlpool customer support with little assistance other than to offer to sell me a $250 extended warranty. I additionally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau concerning Whirlpool to include over 10 pages in documentation with numerous people reporting this same complaint. Whirlpool is still not willing to acknowledge they have faulty or defective components in their product and so generously offered to pay for the replacement component (only - not the service to repair it).I spent $600 on this unit new, $163 to repair it the first time (at 16 months old) and no doubt it will cost me an additional $163 to repair it again (not even 6 months after the first repair). I am not willing to continue to throw good money after bad on a defective unit. For the cost of the repairs and their extended warranty, it is cheaper to buy a new unit from a different manufacturer. It is clear from this site (in addition to numerous others) that Whirlpool has a definite quality problem - both in products and service!

I have had this machine (Indesit IWDE126 Washer/Dryer) for a very short time; the washer is great. It does a 20 minute daily wash which is good however the dryer part screws up everything you put into it and ironing, even with steam, makes no difference at all. The WORST part is the organisation DONT CARE. I wrote to the Chief Executive, Jeff Fettig, who neither acknowledged my complaint or responded to it. I made this complaint in October 2016 and STILL do not know what the outcome is. If you are reading this review I honestly would look elsewhere for a better machine. Try MIELE. I did not purchase the washer (Cabrio Top Load Clothes Washer) but inherited it in a home sale. Never had a non agitator. I was excited for this new washer. After a week I knew why they left it! My clothes did not seem clean; stains were still on them, when I used the delicate cycle a pair of pants went in folded and came out folded!!! I also would have to redistribute the clothes every time I had a load that was larger than five pieces, because it would stop. I would actually have to take clothes out and spin what was remaining then put those in the dryer and put the other clothes back in and spin those again. I was told I needed to use OxiClean on top of my normal detergent in order to get my clothes clean. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool. Just bought an LG; fingers crossed.

Worst purchase I have ever made. When I purchased this Cabrio washer in 2015, I didnt find bad reviews but how I wish I had. This washer does not clean clothes well. It has caused holes in clothing and towels. Often all the load wont even be damp even if using the deep water feature. The wash loads rarely fill more than couple of inches. Clothes come out twisted and terribly wrinkled. Sheets and blankets will be half dry and unclean. TERRIBLE APPLIANCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Now I am stuck with a high priced washer I wouldnt even feel good about giving away. WONT FILL. RUINS CLOTHES. TANGLES LOADS. DOESNT CLEAN. DOESNT RINSE PROPERLY. DO NOT BUY!

A few weeks after we bought it, the washer was already having issues spinning out, and the clothes would have to go through another rinse and spin cycle. A bout a year and a half in and I had to replace the pump because it stopped draining. Even carefully loading the machine, and at least two or three times a week it would not spin out. Two weeks ago it stopped agitating actually performing washing action and spinning out all together. Last night I replaced the actuator which controls the speed or lack thereof in the spin. Still nothing. Ive reset it multiple times, still nothing. At least the clothes are getting wet. At tax return time I am replacing this piece if garbage and I will never get another whirlpool, or Maytag washer again because from what I have been told by dealers and repair men; they are all garbage.

I purchased a dishwasher and hooked it up. The reason I install products myself is I dont like people in my house. I dont know if they are there to help or inventory what they plan to rob from me later. It did not drain so I called Whirlpool who said that I probably hooked it up wrong. Whirlpool said that they would send a service man but if it was hooked up wrong I would have to pay for the service. The service man did arrive and had tattoos all over his neck and arms. (A tear drop would have confirmed that he was a murderer). The machine was hooked up correctly, the water pump was not working at all. The service company that Whirlpool contracted took 3 day to order the part. Yes three day to even order the part. Then another 10 days to get the part in. I called Whirlpool and they did not seem to care at all. My thought is, I am out $599 plus tax, and I have to wait 2 weeks to get my machine fixed, plus I have to take hours off work to wait for the service man and now I have to worry about the service man breaking into my house and robbing me and Whirlpool doesnt care. They should have to pay for the time I was off work and for the interest I lost on the money not being in my account during that two weeks. Whirlpool didnt care at all though. Just purchased a new Whirlpool Counter Depth, French Door, Freezer on bottom, Refrigerator from Lowes. Delivered Sept 1, missing the flap that makes the seal between the two doors. Shelves can be seen inside the fridge with doors closed. Exposed wires on the side of the door in a port with no cover. The fridge is unusable. Cold air flows out between the doors, temperature will not go lower than 45º. Moisture build up on the top and dripping down through the fridge. Frost build up on the back. Refrigerator runs continually. Had to shut it down. Called Whirlpool Sept 2. They will not replace the defective product. I must wait for a repair. The promise was within 24 hours for a technician to call. Called them Sept 2. Local family operated appliance repair company did not receive the request until Sept 4. They do not have the part nor does the parts supply company they deal with. Its on back order. Whirlpool has the part but long weekend and it will not be here until Sept 8 at the earliest. Whirlpool has advised Lowes that the issue is dealt with. I will see the technician on Sunday (Sept 6). Small family Business does not operate on Sunday or holiday, Monday, and have advised Whirlpool of this multiple times. Whirlpool doesnt care. I paid $2700 and do not have a working refrigerator. After being a faithful Whirlpool consumer for years... I no longer have any faith. I purchased an entire kitchen suite. The side by side refrigerator Nov 2013. The first refrigerator was delivered with the side cabinet deeply dented in several areas. Another was delivered 4 weeks later. Silly me... I thought, Okay, no big deal... what could go wrong? I didnt take time off work again to receive the replacement. My son took delivery (never looked at it). I get home... the front of both doors looked like they had been kicked in all the way across! To add, the cabinet sides were textured (not smooth like what I ordered) and the door handles didnt match the other appliances. So, I called HDepot & called Whirlpool (only to be on the phone an hour each time due to high call volume. Imagine?). Then Whirlpool reps are talking to me like I am some sort of idiot... saying that the refrigerator was EXACTLY the same... not possible that the handles or sides were different!!! Because it was damaged (and I mean ridiculous! ) another 8 weeks for a replacement. Frig #3 arrives and I take time off to receive it. Ah, the right refrigerator... but again ~ handles dont match. Not POSSIBLE.. Ms. _ _ _ _... it is the exact refrigerator, those are the same handles. Hours and hours on the phone to HDepot and Whirlpool. Finally, HDepot rep has a WP rep at the store when I call, and bingo! Oh yes, there are two styles of the Exact same model. The handles are ordered... 10 weeks later I finally have matching handles! But, wait... gets better. The fridge has been loud from the start, CONSTANTLY running but, not cooling some areas and freezing in others. Then when you open the freezer it is like a burst of winter wonderland is unleashed in your face. There are sheaths of ice building up on the top of the inside door. Hmm, I think what is going on? The Whirlpool designated repair company comes out. Ah, well here is part of your problem. When the refrigerator was being put together they left a few thicknesses of blue packing tape between the door and the rubber seal in the freezer. The rep tried to fix it to no avail because the door was also warped. First they were going to replace the door. Waiting for another 10 weeks. Nobody calls, whats going on? Oh, never mind, or rather... that was never happening. I have spoken to many reps with Whirlpool, I have been polite with all. In turn, from most I get curt hard ball back. The offers to resolve this from Whirlpool have been ridiculous. I am sorry for my loyalty to Whirlpool, as it has not been reciprocated. I have had two more deliveries - both the wrong unit! I never thought there were others out there. What a mess. They should recall.

When I contacted the store two days after purchase they made it seem as though it is something normal. I never had a refrigerator that got extremely hot that I can scramble some eggs on it. Thats why I cant even rate my experience.

We purchased this washer in April two years ago. I have had service people out twice to replace the lid. Tonight, my husband comes into the kitchen with chunks of something that I could not readily identify. He tells me the entire frame holding the light has rusted out and that the light is hanging into the tub! I followed him into our air conditioned interior laundry room and placed my hand under the rim. It’s filled with rust and the light is dangling down into the tub!

I purchased Whirlpool gas range with AquaLift Self Cleaning Tech exactly a year ago. DOES NOT WORK!!! The only Self that cleans will be you on your hands and knees. Still dont know what to use. Manual says do not use oven cleaner or abrasive or you void the warranty. Ok Whirlpool any suggestions? Soap and mild detergent not cutting it. You would think with all the customers complaining about this feature the bright engineers that designed this would come up with a solution.

I have called the manufacturer several times. They have not been of help as to why this happened. Im upset. They have no suggestions. I have owned Whirlpool appliances for years and this is the 1st time this has happened with no resolution. I just want it fix or explain why its happening.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator (model GX5SHDXV01) about 5 years ago. This company used to have a great reputation, but times have changed. At 2 years, the defroster went out and needed to be replaced. I thought at the time it was just one of those flukes, since Whirlpool makes such good products. But, here I am again with the defroster out at just over 5 years old. I contacted customer support and was told that they would not stand behind their product. Twice in 5 years is ridiculous! Poor marks for reliability.

My wife and I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set in 2011 and now the washer has an error code of F7 E5. I spoke with an appliance guy and he says that it is going to cost up to $450 to repair it. The wash cycle does nothing, it just sits there and then it goes to the next cycle. I have grown up in a household that had washing machines that lasted many years. This is a joke. Why am I having to buy a new washer in 3 years? I dont understand. Whirlpool knows that this is a problem and they should step up and do a recall or some kind of discount towards a new machine. This is ridiculous.

When we bought our side by side fridge (model GD5RVAXVB02), the manual said to clean the condenser coils if you have excess dust and/or pet hair. We have both. We tried with the vacuum and with a brush but it is impossible to get to the coils because they run side to side instead of front to back. You can only get to the first coil in front. The rest cant be accessed from the front, sides or back. I called to find out how Whirlpool recommended they be cleaned and they could only recommend a vacuum attachment tool (8171579A) to clean the floor below the coils or a coil brush (4210463RW) that cant reach the coils! This design is meant to fail prematurely. They could have easily installed the coils running front to back so they could all be easily cleaned.

I purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater several years back with every bit of the Bells & Whistles that Lowes could bestow on it paid for and documented on the tank; Limited Lifetime Warranty and Lowes Professional Installation. It failed after several years with multiple problems. First, the bottom heating unit failed at the same time, noticing a leak from the top heating units external cover where a supporting screw had popped out, leaking down to the floor. Not only was the Whirlpool 800 number a scham of silence, with no estimated wait time and after approximately 20 minutes, a rep picks up as I could hear their legal department on an alternated line instructing and listening in, then dropping off when those crooks felt I had been placated enough to go onto to the next sucker. I have all Whirlpool Gold & KitchenAid Superba appliances in my kitchen and never thought I would be saying this but I will never purchase another Whirlpool Appliance or shop at Lowes again!

My Whirlpool Cabrio washer (WTW6600SG2) is a money pit! After reading all of the nightmare stories concerning this washer one would think Whirlpool would offer a recall and try to correct their wrong doing. Do not buy a Whirlpool Cabrio. It was the worst decision I have ever made! Whirlpool does not stand behind their products. I cant believe they can get away with treating their customers so unfairly, taking their hard earned money for crap like this, then not offering to help after so many have had issues. The Cabrio is loud, doesnt get clothes clean, and is always flashing UL for uneven load (when it works at all). My local repairman has made many trips to fix my problem Cabrio. This time he is at a loss. Ill be buying a new washer and it will not be made by Whirlpool! Please, if you are reading this be forewarned!! You will regret your purchase if you buy a Whirlpool Cabrio.

Brand new Whirlpool dishwasher from PC Richards. Model #WDT710PAYB2. Dont buy one of these! In the store, I was turned off by the panel being on top of the door and not visible when the door is closed. I dont understand why anyone would not want to see the cycles and operation but my husband insisted that was a good thing so I agreed to purchase. Well, its horrible! I pressed the panel buttons the first time I tried to use it, and the panel switch is erratic and all over the place. For example, if I press Normal, the Heavy cycle button light goes on. When I hit start, all the button lights shut off. I finally get all the lights to stay on and hit start (after about 10 tries) and when I shut the door, the start button blinks and beeps! The dishwasher does not start. After many attempts, I got it to run, miraculously, for about 10 minutes. It emptied the detergent dispenser and left everything inside wet and slimy. Nice. I cant believe Whirlpool would sell such an inferior product. I have always been a loyal Whirlpool customer, but after this experience, I think its time to switch appliance brands. Now I have to be inconvenienced without a dishwasher after spending over $500 and wait for a repairman. Thanks, Whirlpool!

She is 84, does nothing with this stove, certainly not knowing how to hit the clean button and HOLD the Start button for 3 seconds... this caused the stove to billow smoke out of the oven and encompass her entire home. Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 5 years ago because our other washer died after coming home from vacation. Its just 2 people in this household so I dont do mountains of laundry. The other machine lasted 15 years so go figure. We purchased the Cabrio from Lowes. Got the extended warranty but as it goes the machine fails when all warranties expires. Over the last couple of weeks this machine started to not complete a wash cycle. All lights go off except for spin light and machine stops. Even asked the person in charge of washers and dryers at Lowes about this who then told me to get an extension cord and plug it into a different outlet. Seriously! I have had to unplug the machine after it fails to complete cycle, wait 5 minutes or so, plug it back in, select rinse and spin, it fails again 13 minutes left in cycle, unplug again, plug it back in, select drain and spin, wait for it to MAYBE complete that cycle. Do not purchase this type of machine. Just for a technician to come look at it is $100 or more and to replace whatever circuit board is probably another $300 or more. Screw that! Going to find a good old fashion one if possible. Piece of junk. Not going to spend $700 or $1000 just to wash clothes for 2 people.

My 4- to 5-year-old Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 began to display errors recently.
My 4- to 5-year-old Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 began to display errors recently. F1 was the 1st error code I encountered. After giving the washer a hard shove and rocking, it began to work properly again... for a while. I noticed on some large loads that I was getting an LD Long Drain error. I could hear the pump running but with little water flow. Eventually, it would time out and give the LD error. A service tech was called and determined that the water pump was defective, although the impellers inside appeared okay and had no foreign objects to impede its spinning. After spending $225 for the service call, the LD error resurfaced about an hour after the tech left. Tonight I got the F1 error again, and once again the washer responded to a sharp rap. The replacement control board, which the F1 error code involves, is $220 plus labor. $440+ for a repair to a $600-$700 washer? Im going to dissect the main control board tomorrow and look for loose or corroded connections. I cant understand why the LD code occurs when I can hear the drain pump running... just very little comes out. Other times it empties like Niagara falls... I cant understand why it works sometimes and fails others. The pump is either on or off. It doesnt have multiple speeds as far as I know. Im not sure what to do next... probably try to re-sell the new pump that was installed to recoup some of the money I paid for a non-working Cabrio. This seems to be a very common occurrence.. Have any class action suits been mentioned? If so, please feel free to contact me.

We have had a Whirlpool dishwasher for about 2.5 years and have been happy with how it cleans dishes. About a year ago we replaced our counter top and in the process had to adjust the bend in the mountain brackets that attach the dishwasher to the underside of the counter. This requires flexing the thin piece of aluminum at the perforated line. In the process, one of the brackets snapped. The other was barely still intact and broke several months later. I tried jerry-rigging them, but eventually decided to replace them and called Whirlpool customer service to ask for replacement parts.Unfortunately, Whirlpool wanted to charge me $10.50 apiece and another $9.00 for shipping and handling. These parts could not cost more than a few cents apiece. I was shocked that they would charge me $30.00 to replace these flawed parts. Never have I had such and experience with any customer service department. The three people I spoke with were all rude and unapologetic about my situation. Two blamed it on the install...Ive installed plenty of dishwashers and never had any problems in the past. Even if it was a failure on my behalf, the simple replacement of the parts for a reasonable charge would have been fine by me. I told them Id be happy to pay a few dollars and to pay the full shipping fee (which was also high, in my opinion), but they refused to meet me halfway. I can only think that this is part of their business plan...make dishwashers with sub-par parts, and then over charge for the replacement parts when they fail. Well, I re-upped my jerry-rigging efforts and have improved the engineering of the faulty part. Save my $30. But Whirlpool will never again get my business and Ill be sure to steer clients and friends away from this brand as well.
