Im very satisfied with the looks and performance of my Whirlpool dishwasher, it is quiet enough that I put it on to wash before going to bed. It is that quiet. Im not happy about the way it was installed, but that is no fault of the dishwasher or Whirlpool, it works great even though it sits kind of crooked in the cabinet. The dishes are always sparkling clean and dry when it is done washing.

We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio forcibly when our 20-year-old top load whirlpool finally gave out. The Cabrio sucks. It does not get anything clean, it ruins clothes due to low water which creates friction, clothes are left wrinkly, smelly, pilled with lint, stinky and unclean. Ive had it for a year and Ive given every cycle a chance. It simply does not do what it is supposed to.The HE washers are supposed to reduce water, but having to rewash everything several times with load times up to two hours not only increases the amount of water used but increases the amount of energy used. Our electric bill has gone up $30-55 a month on average. This doesnt even account for the fact that Im spending nearly 16 hours a week doing laundry for a household of five. Thats nearly triple the time I used to spend on laundry. From having to pretreat even the most minor stains to spending hours trying to get the wrinkles out, and having to remove pills of lint, to the fact that one wash cycle does not get the odors out nor the dirt out therefore multiple cycles are required. I honestly think I might spend less time if I hand wash everything, I certainly would get them clean and deodorized. UNFORTUNATELY Government regulations force the consumers to buy HE washers so our choices for clean deodorized clothes are non existent. If I had to do it again I would buy a used non-HE washer knowing it would run another 10 years and actually get my clothes clean.

Originally installed early 2007, the very expensive unit went crazy after about 14 months, with random beeping noises, and non-response to keyboard entry. Sometimes unplugging the unit worked. When unplugging no longer worked, the unit was repaired by replacing the keyboard logic boards only to fail again the same way.about a year later. It appeared the heat or steam from the cooktop below the microwave was causing the failures, so we became careful to ensure the fan was on. Last week, after boiling some water, the unit failed again, with error code F2H2, the keyboard error. Didnt Whirlpool expect the microwave to survive heat or steam from the stove/cooktop below? Overall, the unit is great when it works. Unfortunately due to the large size of the 2 cu ft unit, only an identical unit will fit. Im skeptical of replacing my broken unit with another Whirlpool Velos unless this keyboard problem has been fixed in new units. Anybody know if Whirlpool has fixed this problem?

I have a new Whirlpool double convection oven which is very noisy. There is a rattle and pinging noise that occurs and the fan is also loud. Im not sure if it is an install or product issue. Can anyone comment on their convection oven? I dont believe this is normal. I am disappointed with my purchase and would opt for gas or basic electric. The double convection ovens were fairly pricey too.

I have purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator and it has passed only 1.5 years and I have repaired it twice. The cost of repairing is also very high. Service charge is very high so I called a local party to solve the issue. They checked and found that a capacitor and a compressor relay is not working. They replaced the two and debited a cost of Rs.1500.

I wish I had gone on this website and read the reviews before I bought my washer about two years ago. I thought the Whirlpool Cabrio was going to be a good machine because of the brand name and because it is one of the more expensive washers. Like many others have said, I am disappointed with this washer. I bought it because it has a large capacity, but mostly because it has a hand wash cycle and a deep water soak. I have found that the only cycle that actually may get clothes clean is the Bulky Items cycle, because it actually covers the clothes in water. Some of the other cycles dont even get the clothes entirely wet. And the deep water soak doesnt wash the clothes, rinse them, or spin them dry. I might as well pre-soak clothing in my laundry tub, and then put them in the machine to wash them. Prior to this machine, I had a Maytag Neptune front loader, which did alright, but it had a few problems. I am ready to go back to the inexpensive agitator machine my mother used to have, if anyone still makes them. They at least got the clothes clean, and you could soak clothing if you wanted to. Im sorry that I bought this expensive washer. I wish I had bought a relatively inexpensive, simple machine. One good thing about this machine though is that I was able to wash a sleeping bag on the Bulky Items cycle. So, I didnt have to take the sleeping bag to the laundromat. Whirlpool needs to improve this machine or go back to the drawing board and create a new one.

Whirlpool Cabrio Model WTW6500 - I ask all of you to stay away from the Whirlpool Cabrio sets. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix my washer. I just spent $260 for a computer board. Now it stays on rinse cycle. So now I need the motor sensor harness which is another $90. Service call $80 x 2. So, now I am going to take the computer board back and get my 260 dollars back. For the cost of $400 to fix this washer. You can go and buy a new one for around $400. Then, Im going to the lawyers to file a class action suit against Whirlpool. So, owners; be looking in your mailboxes for a class action suit against Whirlpool for those who own the cabrio set. Im tired of having to deal with whirlpool customer service. Maybe, whirlpool should think of having their laundry made back in America.

My house was built in 2004, therefore the Whirlpool water heater was installed in June 2004. The water heater broke down (It flooded my garage) in 2007. I didnt have to pay for the water heater at Lowes (It was under Warranty), but I had to pay for the delivery and labor. Now, I had to call customer service, because the Whirlpool water heater installed in 2007 has problems too. The pilot light would not stay lit. I have to pay a certified technician $180, just to come to my house to fix this problem, when this is a recurring problem, with this Whirlpool water heater that was purchased at Lowes. (The heater has a six-year warranty. Not sure what this means if the product is defective to begin with). Im very disappointed with this product. It has too many problems, and I have to pay for a defective product. I would stay away from Whirlpool if I could.

I really like my new 5 burner gas double oven gas range made by Whirlpool. Except for 1 minor flaw where the backsplash panel warped at the beginning and was promptly replaced by whirlpool I have had no problems with my range, love having 5 burners and a double oven. Plus the left front burner has a much bigger burner with higher btu which helps water come to a boil way faster than any other ranger I have ever had. That is a real nice feature and I really like having 2 ovens, When cooking on an average day for my small family there is no need to heat up the big oven and the little oven is just the perfect size to bake 1 or 2 dishes. And on holidays when I am cooking for more people or many more dishes I have the capacity to cook more items.

I dont have hot water connected to my washer and my husband is a shingle roofer so I often have to wash his clothes twice but my dogs beds come out beautiful and the sanitizer on the dryer removes odors very well. My water bill went down, I can wash my rugs and large comforters at home now. Plus they are so pretty. Unfortunately they tell me it’s out of the one year warranty process and they can’t help me. Well look like the 2nd replacement should have been under warranty still. Their products are a piece of crap and they know it and don’t care because theyre making money off of the consumers. Be aware and advise you to stay away from Whirlpool appliances. They don’t stand behind their brand. There’s no way anyone should have to be making repairs on a new 2000 and sum refrigerator. My old one is 18 yrs old and still working fine no problems, better than this piece of crap. Warning to consumers. Don’t waste your time and especially your money. Didn’t want to give no stars but you have to give at least 1.Original Review: Purchased refrigerator In July of 2017 and had to have ice maker replaced less than a year of having it. Now again ice maker not working again and only been about 9 months from the last replacement. I think there should be a Lemon law on these products. When I moved into my current home, this dishwasher(Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) was already installed. It had never been used until I moved in. After two years of 2-3 times a week use, I have major problems. It will not complete a wash cycle, regardless of what settings I use. It runs long enough for the soap dispenser to release the Finish tablets which dissolve, but then the dishwasher stops running. The dishes are not clean, and neither is the interior of the dishwasher. It also appears to be leaking when it runs. I cannot afford to replace it, so either I will repair it myself or use it to store pots and pans. This is not my first disappointment with a Whirlpool product. A Kenmore refrigerator made by Whirlpool lasted 7 years before the compressor failed. Apparently, the self-cleaning coils werent and caused the compressor to fail. The refrigerator I have where I now live is a Whirlpool over 20 years old and runs perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool quality has deteriorated badly in the last two decades. I will never buy another Whirlpool kitchen appliance because of the dishwasher and new refrigerator experiences. When I searched the Internet for fixes for both appliances, I found many other owners having the same problems I have had.

We purchased a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes in 2011. Everything was fine up until June 2015. We got the dreaded 4 flashes. We called for service to come out, that costed us around $300. December 23rd of 15 it goes out again. We called Whirlpool instead of a service company and the part was under warranty. We paid for overnight shipping but because of the holiday it was not guaranteed. We told them we are fine with Sat. delivery. In the meantime we had to cancel a holiday party scheduled at our house the 24th. We waited around all day Sat. for the part to show and nothing. We called Whirlpool to get the tracking number and we find out that the other service rep didnt mark our package for Sat. delivery. I am very close to just buying a new heater. I have had this product now for 1.5 years and am very dissatisfied with it. Whirlpool calls their oven an Aqua Lift Self Clean, which is terribly misleading. There is nothing self-cleaning about it, except that the person who needs to clean it is me (myself)! I cannot use oven cleaners on it, because that will void my warranty, so the only way to clean it is to scrub, scrub, scrub, down on my hands and knees, which I havent had to do for many a year. My second issue is with the glass stovetop. I have had many glass tops before and have never, never had such trouble cleaning it. Every time I use the stovetop I need to scrub and polish vehemently to clean it. And thirdly, the dials fail very quickly, and to replace them costs me $50.00 a pop! In just 1.5 years two dials have failed. This is just unacceptable, and I say shame on Whirlpool, and shame on the company that sold it to me. I will never, ever purchase another Whirlpool appliance again.

I purchased the Amana washer # NTW4560YQO 10 months ago - when I put on the warn setting I would get an alternate cold warm but a warm wash. At the beginning of July suddenly all I got was cold water. The machine is still under warranty so I called and I got an authorized repair person who came out and replaced the mixing valve.. then I went to wash clothes and yes all I got was cold water. The authorized repair person came out and could not figure why. He called Whirlpool tech dept and they told him it was working the way it was supposed to. Now it does not give any warm water so I do not know how the tech person can make that statement. They then sent yet another authorized repair person from a different repair company and yet again the tech person said it is working the way it is supposed to. IT IS NOT WORKING THE WAY IT WORKED WHEN I PURCHASED IT AND THE WAY IT WORKED FOR 9 MONTHS. When I called customer disservice they kept repeating, our tech people say it is working the way it is supposed to. Then they tried to tell me it was the ground water. I want to know how many others out here have had the same problem. Purchased this simple 30 wide fridge July 2017 to fit a short kitchen slot. It worked adequately, but it only had 3 temp settings. The highest setting was too warm and coldest froze food in the fridge within days. The middle setting was a little cold but the best option. Food in the back did occasionally freeze and we had to be careful for vegetables in the drawer freezing. Often we wrapped lettuce and more fragile veggies in towels to absorb moisture and slow down freezing. Two years after buying - almost to the day - the fridge stopped cooling below 45F. The freezer still worked, so I thought it might be fixable. I tried some DIY repairs from a couple of websites but nothing worked. Within a week, the fridge temps were up to 50-55F. I gave up on buying ice and keeping food in coolers. I bought a GE and havent looked back.

The water dispenser in the left door sometimes works, mostly not. The fridge freezes the food inside, temp. set at 41°F. The entire ice maker has been replaced, several valves have been replaced, a service company rep. tore the back off the fridge, found some insulation misplaced, said he repaired that. We have been very patient. Three repair companies have been sent out by Whirlpool, two said the refrigerator CANNOT BE REPAIRED. Whirlpool told me the only resolution is repair.Whirlpools Customer Experience Center is a joke, they do nothing but try to schedule another repair call. Tell you how sorry they are about your problem but do nothing to solve the problem. Carefully trained to give you the BIG runaround and nothing else. You never get the same person twice or the same city twice. Patients exhausted. Calling my lawyer. I would strongly advise anyone needing a new refrigerator not to buy a Whirlpool product. You should also check the list of other brands they make, there are several. I wouldnt buy them either. Buy a fridge made in Japan by a Japanese company. In 2/2007, I purchased a Whirlpool Duet Front Load Washer (GHW9400PW) and have had constant F06 failures. Now the refrigerator cools, but it runs 100% of the time. I dont mean frequently, I mean it NEVER. SHUTS. OFF. Its never not running. Today a technician came out, and after 1.5 hrs of diagnostics on the phone with a Whirlpool engineer, theyve declared that it works. We bought a Whirlpool gas range about a year and half ago. The oven started giving lighting problems we had to light with a match every once in a while. Then the broiler igniter started giving same problems so I replaced the igniter, still did not work. Then I tried the control panel, still nothing. The igniters were about 45.00 each. The control panel was 250.00. Then I replaced the spark module and it is now working. Some models the spark module dont control oven and broiler but mine does. That was 200.00. The best thing was the part place I was ordering from would exchange the parts that you try and they also can answer questions either online or by phone, Appliancepartspros.com. My oven model # is wfg371lvs3.

I am sorry to have updated that review 2 years later. Whirlpool has actually contacted me after posting on their Facebook support group. I am not sure how it happened but I was contacted by their executive team who is WAY more professional and efficient than their support team. In a matter of days my washer was replaced and installed by a new one - the closet available to the model I had - I did not pay a penny and no questions asked even though the washer was out of warranty. So my answer to you is when you are stuck do your best to talk to the executive team!

I have previously owned a Maytag washer for 16 years that went through three children. They are older now and two years ago I decided to buy a Whirlpool Cabrio for the upgrade and large capacity. Well just like every other customer that purchased these crappy machine, I now own one of the worst washers in the history of washing machines. It started about 13 months after I bought it and now is completely broken. I am so angry that I spent the amount of money I did to be so disappointed. I have not abused this washer and I can hardly believe the customer service or lack there of, that this company supports. I would hope that people do their research before ever purchasing a whirlpool anything. TERRIBLE COMPANY and my Cabrio is heading to the landfill.... Thanks Whirlpool. YOU SUCK!

As very happy owners of a previous model of this fridge freezer when ours needed replacing, we went direct to Whirlpool and bought the latest model. What a mistake! Other comments on this site are so accurate if only we had seen them before. A kitchen floor covered in ice mush (cubes seem out of the question) and tepid water from the water dispenser whereas on the previous model it was chilled. Basic functions that the previous model excelled at. Sadly it is also badly designed inside the fridge. We raised these issues with Whirlpool within our first year who merely said sorry you are unhappy and thanks for your comments. Be very wary of Whirlpool products and service.

I purchased a Whirlpool cabrio mod. wtw5840bwo washing machine in Oct. of 2014. As of June 2015 I am ready to kick it to the curb. The washer works to it design and hasnt broke down but it doesnt clean our clothes. We load the machine, add the right amount of clothes and recommended detergents and 1hr later after the wash cycle is completed, the clothes still stink with the smell of daily perspiration. I went back to using our old washer that has a worn out agitator. It does a better job.

The problem started with an error code F3F1 on dryer. Called A & E Factory Service who is company that are certified Whirlpool technicians. They have been out 7 times, March 26, April 1, April 8, April 13, April 27, May 5 and May 12. During those times they ordered and replaced the main control board 3 times and a thermistor for which we paid for parts and labor. The company now says they think we have a lemon and we are supposed to hear back within 48 hours whether we are going to be refunded a total of $504.48 we have advanced for repairs less the service call. They referred us back to Whirlpool and said they would no longer come out as the dryer cannot be repaired! Talked to Whirlpool customer service that says we didnt have an extended warranty and there is nothing they can or will do. This dryer was purchased on 12/31/11. They took the position that because there is no recall for defective parts for this model, there is nothing they will do. Attached is our purchase receipt and all service invoices regarding this matter.

We have had our Whirlpool for 6 months. It doesn’t always keep things uniformly cool. Oftentimes some items are frozen while others are not. The water dispenser button leaks in a dribble down the front of the fridge after each use. The drawers do not move easily when they contain a moderate amount of food. The freezer works great. All in all it does a decent job but I definitely wouldn’t consider it one of the best.

We purchased this washer in 2017, its the top loading Cabrio washer and it has been nothing but junk since day one. Purchased from RC Wiley in Boise and unfortunately did not buy the extended warranty because we trusted that this American company would make a washer that would last longer than 3 yrs. This washer barely washes clothes, leaves a residue on them since there is no agitator, also constantly gets unbalanced or gives and error of LF which means water supply issue when there isnt one. My 15 yr old about has a heart attack when he uses the quick setting and his clothes arent done in an hour and a half. Ive even resorted to turning the thing on to just rinse and spin so things get done sooner, still the stupid washer just sits. I would sell it but I dont want to pass on the pain, so its going to the dump to or to Goodwill cause its not worth the headache. Too bad you cant trust an American company to make a good product. Sad I really wanted to like this washer.

I am 72 years old and this Whirlpool Energy Star HE Washing Machine is just useless. It does not clean clothes properly. It always leaves a stinky washing machine smell which never goes away despite no matter what you do. A completely useless, faulty washing machine! Never ever buy a Whirlpool HE washing machine! Some websites say that you need to buy a washer fan at a cost of $69.99 and attach it to the back of your washing machine as this is the only way you can get rid of the smell. Who has that kind of money? Why is this fan not already included in this washing machine if Whirlpool is aware of the smelly washing machine/smelly clothes problem? This is such a joke! We would like to be reimbursed for our deficient Whirlpool Washing Machine or at the very least, have a recall of this inefficient, poorly designed washing machine. They advised me that the main bearing was bad. It would cost more to repair than what it was worth. I contacted Whirlpool. They could not do anything unless the machine was inspected by one of their authorized service companies, which they scheduled. Two weeks later, A&E Factory Service arrived and confirmed that the bearing is bad and the cost to repair will be $1,542.06. Whirlpool customer service transferred me all over the country to tell me that the machine was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do.

Our Whirlpool gas hot water heater was purchased and installed (through Lowes) in April 2008. In February 2009, the thermostat failed. Because the failure happened less than a year after purchase, Whirlpool replaced the part and paid for labor. The hot water heater failed again three weeks ago, and we contacted Whirlpool. We were once again provided with another thermostat, and were charged $135.00 by a plumber to install it (even though the customer service rep stated that there were known issues with this tank model). The tank is still not working properly. We (with our tenants) have tried troubleshooting according to their instructions, to no avail. It has been three weeks now, and no resolution. The heater has a six-year warranty. Not sure what this means if the product is defective to begin with. We pay to attempt to repair it?We will not be spending any more money on labor to install parts that may or may not work and have demanded that Whirlpool replace the heater. Whirlpool has refused to pay for any labor costs and told us that we must take the heater back to Lowes. So I suppose that means we have to pay to have a 3 1/2 year old heater removed from the gas and water lines, transported to Lowes, and a new one installed. What a deal.Stay away from Whirlpool.

I have had trouble with this AccuBake stove since four months after I bought it in 2011. First, the clean cycle would work intermittently then would not ignite to bake, broil warm or clean. All burners would light intermittently. Every time I had trouble, I called the service tech from Homestead Lumber, where I purchased the product from and he could never find anything wrong. Product would work fine whenever he came out. Finally, it acted up in May of this year while the product was still under warranty and while the service tech was here. The tech replaced the circuit board. One month later, Im still having trouble replacing igniter. Four days ago, Im still having trouble. This stove stinks. Right now, I wish I had my $959 back for the stove and wish Whirlpool had it stuck up their butt.

As in other reviews, constant soap residue and clothes stretched and tangled into a compressed wad with deep wrinkles as you try and untangle them after the wash. Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine model WFW9150WW02 - This machine was purchased new in Sept. 2011 along with a brand new dryer. We started noticing a rumbling sound within the first year, but both machines did a fantastic job on the laundry. Then last week, the washing machine didnt spin out a load of laundry. We called the company and they scheduled a service visit through A&E Factory Service. The technician immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing and said that he had seen the problem frequently with this model and put it down to a design defect. The bearing is housed in a stainless sheath protected by a rubber seal, but the seal lets water in, which rusts the bearing. The cost to repair it was over $700. He suggested I call WP and ask for a concession, whereby the company would at least pick up all or part of the cost of parts. The service representative summarily dismissed the request, saying the company had no obligation to stand behind the product as the machine was out of warranty. I said that this was unacceptable. She was pleasant, but kept asking questions and putting me on hold. Ultimately, she said the same thing. Whirlpool was once a dependable name, no more.

I purchased my whirlpool washer on 01/24/2011 and I purchased a 5 yr extended warranty at the time of purchase. My washer broke down. I called the whirlpool co. After 5 mins getting through the phone prompts and another 30 mins on hold I finally spoke with a rep name Ashley who state that there was no account or record of my warranty. She connected me to another department where I spoke with Eva. I was advised that since the company that sold me the warranty was out of business whirlpool would set up an account for me if I faxed the information documenting my original purchase. I faxed the information, waited three days without a response. I called today went through the phone prompts and could not reach the reps I spoke with before. The reps today were not helpful and refused to even try to get me to the reps I spoke with before. I was advised that the previous reps provided inaccurate information. If an appliance comes with a one year warranty and a consumer purchases a 5 yr extended warranty should it be added to the 1 yr or is the first year included in the 5yrs? Wouldnt it only be a 4 yr extended warranty if that were the case? I am very disappointed in the lack of quality of my washer and misrepresentation that was communicated by whirlpool reps. At the very least they should answer the phone promptly and honor the commitment to repair products. This is the case number (**) I was provided the first time I called, but it is not recognized by the reps I spoke with the 2nd time. I was provided 866.368.6478 as a contact# and a fax#. 2016 Cabrio Washer - I had an 11 year old Maytag washer that finally gave up so rather than go through the repair I decided to upgrade to a new washer dryer and went with the Whirlpool Cabrio W/D pair. I am shocked at the washers inability to clean even the most basic of stains. I have to pre-treat clothes like never before, have tried every type of wash cycle offered and cant believe the amount of time it takes to clean clothes. Over one hour??? My Maytag may have agitated the heck out of a load but in less than 30 minutes everything was clean. Ive had to re-wash load after load of the most basic everyday stains. I was hoping the larger drum would allow me to cut my laundry time down but that is not the case, and find myself putting a few things in at a time so they get washed. Im stuck with this piece of crap and have only had it for one month... Cant wait for it to start breaking down and dealing with repairs as so many of these comments mention. I miss my Maytag!!!

The headache to find someone to take your food! The part took 2 weeks to get replaced. The tech said, If this doesn’t work we will have to come back and take the back off to see what the issue is. Told to defrost again for 24 hrs. The ice was so thick we did it for 48 Hrs. 1 week later ice started to form in the freezer and the ice stopped working again. Called whirlpool demanded a refund and they said no. A tech will come again. I’ve relocated my food 3x already. How many more times can I do that! Cabrio WTW8200YWO - We purchased this washer five years ago. About a year ago it started getting noisier and noisier on spin cycle. Now it sounds like a jumbo jet taking off. A Google search quickly revealed this is a ubiquitous problem with these washers. As we are in our 70s and dont have kids at home, we are very light users of the washer. First, I would suggest that no one buy this washer. Second, I suggest that Whirlpool should recall these washers. I called Whirlpool and it turns out they clearly know about this issue. The good news is they will offer you a discount on repairs or even on a new machine. The bad news is it will still cost you several hundred dollars to fix their design defect. I suggest that you avoid purchasing Whirlpool products both because of their defective design and because of Whirlpools unwillingness to take responsibility for these problems.

What Whirlpool customer service told me was that would be options for us if we did not purchase their extended warranty. Tell me, is that fair? I am a single parent. So I was very excited when I had saved enough to purchase a new washer and dryer. I purchased Whirlpool because I had been told that was a good brand. From the beginning, I was having issues with the washer (Whirlpool Front Loader model #WFW8300SW04). It wouldnt start or it would not spin, or it would just lock and not be able to get it open. I had purchased a warranty. So I called to have it serviced. The tech came and told me that I needed to have my floor leveled under the washer. I hired someone to concrete under my washer and dryer. Again the washer still did the same thing. I used the warranty again. The second tech told me that I needed to have my electrical outlet changed. I again hired someone to change the outlet. Yet still the machine didnt work. I then hired a tech to come out and was told the mother board needed to be replaced. Had that done. The machine worked for a short time with no issues. But yet again it wont start, or wont spin, or it locks and you cant get it opened. I contacted Whirlpool and their answer to the problem was they would be glad to set up an appointment to send out one of their techs (at my expense). I have hired another tech and being told that the mother board once again needs to be replaced. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool and their service. I dont understand why they won’t stand behind their products. I will (when able) purchase another washer, but it most definitely will NOT be Whirlpool. Anyone else having issues with the same model? Would like to hear.

My Cabrio was built in April 2016, its now Feb 2019, and its not working. Shows error code of LF, the inlet water value is bad. I bought a Sears protection plan, repairman comes out, tells me no-one has the part anywhere, its backordered and no way to know when it will deliver. Sounds like a scam so Sears doesnt have to fix it and Whirlpool makes little to none of the part so you have to buy a new machine. This machine also takes forever to wash clothes, sometimes part of the clothes come out dry because not enough water. Its a huge tub, but of no use because theres not enough water to clean properly therefore, you have to do small loads. I always put it on high water because the other features like, quick wash & normal do not give but only little streams of water! The first one I had delivered made a funny noise from day one so Sears replaced it the next day. This one has NOT even lasted 3 yrs. There needs to be new legislation placed upon these companies with regards to the products they make. It should be illegal to make such junk and be able to charge high dollar for it and it doesnt operate well or last very long. They are laughing all the way to the bank on everyones dollar, intentionally making products that last less than a few years! I Will NOT purchase Whirlpool or any of their products again! They owe me a new Cabrio and Im going to make sure I get it and get my moneys worth! DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS JUNKER! DONT BE FOOLED BY ITS PRETTY SLEEK LOOK.

I have been unhappy with my Whirlpool Cabrio washer since I purchased it from Lowes. I should have looked online before I bought it and then I would not have made the mistake of buying it. The washer leaves soap deposits on the clothes and sometimes leaves a colored soil. It has ruined numerous clothing by tearing out hems of towels and wash cloths and tore a hole in a favorite sweater. I prefer an agitator in my washer. From what I read, I will soon begin to have other major problems and then I will replace it, but not with a Whirlpool.

If there had been a choice for no stars I would have given it none. I bought the Cabrio washer and dryer 2 years ago and been dissatisfied from the beginning. It was recommended to me by the repairman who gave me the bad news that my old Whirlpool was not repairable. I suspect that his recommendation came from the fact that it has a good record with regard to repairs and not that it did a good job cleaning clothes.I thought that perhaps there was a learning curve and I would figure it out. Not so. This washer leaves stains, sometimes even not getting something thoroughly wet. The washer does not get clothes clean, especially whites. I have replaced two sets of white towels because they were never entirely clean and eventually became so dingy that I donated them to the Humane Society. I tried using Oxy Clean and even bleach, but nothing works in this washer. Any workout or sports clothes I soak first in the sink because not doing so results in smelly cleaned laundry that has to be repeatedly washed to remove any sweat odors. The final straw came when I washed a small fleece dog pad and it came out of the washer with one third of it not ever having touched water. I tried explaining these issues to Whirlpool customer service agents, who blithely informed me that Whirlpool can do nothing to help. So, I will donate this heap of metal to anyone who is willing to take it on and never purchase another Whirlpool product. Incidentally, I submitted this review to the whirlpool review site and they refused to publish it.

Purchased a new Whirlpool Energy Smart 50 gallon water heater from Lowes to
Purchased a new Whirlpool Energy Smart 50 gallon water heater from Lowes to replace our existing old one that had gone bad. Never again!! Had it professionally installed by one of Lowes installers. I have no problem with the installer.... the water heater was a piece of junk. From the first day we had sporadic hot water and to get that you had to have a hot water tap turned on full force. If you turned the tap to a lesser flow you got cold water. Couldnt get a hot shower at all. Contacted Whirlpool customer service 4 times by phone and 3 times by email. Horrible !!!! If I had read all the reviews ahead of time I would never have purchased a Whirlpool water heater. Each time contacting their customer service I was informed I had a plumbing problem... probably a cold water line was feeding into my hot water line??? Really??? After living in this house for 20 years all of a sudden I have a cold water line magically connect itself into my main hot water feed? I even set the temperature up as much as it would go. Could easily hold my hand under the hot water without getting burned. Most of their phone reps sounded like they were reading from a check list sheet and no desire to actually listen to what I was telling them. One even sent me a PDF file via email that had nothing to do with the problem I was describing to them. I finally told them after two weeks of this that I couldnt live with this situation and they said Well our technicians are 38 miles from you and we wont send one that far to check it. Asking what I could do they said Id have to hire someone (they werent able to tell me if I should hire a plumber or electrician) and Id have to pay for it and they would reimburse me. Sensing that this might be a fruitless task I resorted to calling the Lowes store where I purchased it and asked their advice. They offered to send out the original installer to check it out and work with Whirlpool over the phone. Like I said, I have no complaints with the installer, he was fast and professional. I stood there while their technician/customer service had him go through a few tests on the unit. All of that proved nothing except in their minds that nothing was wrong with their unit. He got off the phone and told me They refuse to accept any responsibility for the product being bad. I asked him what was I supposed to do. He got on the phone with the manager of the Lowes store and they agreed to swap it out at no charge to me. I of course was very happy but told them after all of this I didnt want another Energy Smart type water heater and that I didnt trust the electronics at all. He agreed to swap it out for a regular type and give me a credit for any difference in cost. Had this all done in one day and am very pleased with Lowes commitment to customer service. The new heater (still a Whirlpool sad to say) appears to be working fine just like my old one did. So much for it being a problem with my plumbing. After reading all the complaints about Whirlpool water heaters, I guess Im not looking forward to much of a life expectancy with this one and Im certainly not even going to attempt to call Whirlpool customer service if I do. This whole thing cost me $700 and as far as Im concerned Ill flush $700 down the toilet before buying another Whirlpool product. I still would love to know how any person with half a brain could tell me I had a plumbing problem when all that was done was removal of an old water heater and replaced with a new one. Thats two pipes people...cold water in, hot water out. I see that there was some type of class action lawsuit filed against Whirlpool. Maybe they need another one filed or forbidden to sell water heaters ever again.

I called the company - did will do nothing. Will cost me as much to fix it as to get a new one. This a Whirlpool oven.

55 Gal Electric New in 2003 / Limited Lifetime Warranty - I paid quite a bit more initially at Lowes for this unit. Its stainless lined. I have had numerous problems since purchase. I had to replace the sensing element in the Smart Box in 2006. Then the lights started flashing again making a humming sound in the box. I took each piece apart in smart box and cleaned them, which seemed to help. Then the upper element that is also stainless that requires a special wrench to replace went bad according to the blinking lights. Lights stopped after several resets. Now, the water is boiling out of the top of heater and they tell me its the seal in the element that I never replaced. The cover for the element is off. Water cannot possibly build up and force out the top of the cover of tank. I am not an idiot, yet they tell me that is most likely the problem. They didnt listen to me long enough to properly assess my concern. Every plumber I talk to says its the separation of the liner inside the heater. Nonetheless, I have a water problem now in the basement and have never heard back from Whirlpool as promised with troubleshooting guide on an email. I am sick of calling and getting the runaround with every issue. The warranty is horrible for the consumer. Sure, you have a limited lifetime warranty, but when you cant get proper information when you need it, what good is it? Made in America is why I bought the product. I also need a new washer but will not be searching in the Whirlpool line due to their lack of care with an important issue with my heater.

After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet
After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet washing machine WFW9400SU1 requires repairs costing over $1100. Similar to another complaint listed, some parts rusted out, leading to extensive damage during use, which we realized only after the spin cycle became incredibly loud. Now the entire gut of the machine (bearing, drum, arm, casing, etc.) needs to be replaced - $900 parts and $200 labor. I trust my repairman (who said theyd seen this type of problem before with Whirlpool) especially because he recommended buying a new machine instead. I called Whirlpool, and they said they could do nothing for me which made me very angry. This is a mechanical problem that could have been avoided by using proper materials. Whatever happened to the washing machines that would last 15-20 years?

In July 2018 I purchased a coin operated commercial front load 27 in washer
In July 2018 I purchased a coin operated commercial front load 27 in washer and dryer. It was placed in and used in a six unit apartment building occupied by 8 long term adults. Prior washers and dryers had been operational for years with minor repairs at times. In June of 2019 the interior cement center balance on the top of the washer drum broke with resulting damage to screws securing the center balance and potentially other unknown parts. This was reported to Whirlpool customer Care service and they referred me to one of their a repair services. The repair service in about early August repaired the washer. In late September 2019 the cement balance broke a second time and this was again reported to Whirlpool service who requested I notify their recommended repair service. On inspecting the washer the repair service stated the entire washer was required to be rebuilt. The labor for installation of would cost me $1,125 with Whirlpool providing the parts under their warranty. The $1,125 labor cost was just under what I paid for a new coin operated front load washer. I reported this to Whirlpool whose supervising staff, without any inspection of damaged washer as to determine whether the washer was fit for its purpose when sold as a commercial washer, rejected any replacement of the less one year old washer and insisted they would only pay for the parts and I would have to pay for the labor, particularly when the both the cost of the replacement parts and the labor would be substantially in excess of a new machine. Due to time and effort constraints the problem was resolved by simply dumping the defective washer and purchasing a new commercial front load washer from a more responsible company.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio (wtw6600sw2) about five years ago. Last year, the motherboard had to be replaced. This year, it started to have load balance issues on the spin cycle; in other words, it wont spin without sounding like its going to tear itself apart. It cost $75 to have someone look at it, and to fix it will cost almost $400, and whats next? I spent a lot of money for this machine, and Whirlpools answer was to offer me a discount to purchase a new Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and my model does not have a recall, but models with same problems have been recalled. I will never buy a Whirlpool again!!!

Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer model WTW6800WW1 - I bought this washer 3 years ago. It cost me about $900. It has become very loud. I had the repairman here yesterday fixing my dryer. When he heard the washer, he told me the bearings are gone and its just a matter of time before the machine dies. To fix it involves a total rebuild of the motor, about $600! WTF! This is my 3rd washer in 19 years. There is something seriously wrong with appliance manufacturers. They no longer care about their reputations, and just produce crap! Expensive crap! Needless to say, I am now shopping for our 4th machine, which will be a Speedqueen basic washer with a 3-year warranty!

My 3 door fridge is roomy, well lighted and well organized. I love the fact that when I open the doors, I can see everything at a glance. The freezer section is also well organized and holds plenty. Being able to get filtered water and ice in the door is convenient. The main reason I picked Whirlpool is that it is made in the USA! I want to support American manufacturers that employ my fellow citizens.

I am so frustrated with my Whirlpool Gold Wall oven with Accubake system. It has been on for 12 hours in clean mode. The door is locked. My home is full of smoke and even though I turned off the breaker so no power would go to it, it is still locked and hot two hours later. This is the second time this has happened. Not only is it a fire hazard, my walls are hot to the touch. It is frustrating. There is no override of the clean mode. BTW, I was baking when the inside light switched on and off and the door locked down. I was nowhere near it and it was the second batch I was baking so I did not touch the clean button. It did it itself.

Purchased this refrigerator, Model # WRS965CIAH on October 3, 2014. Paid extra for counter depth. Initially the refrigerator worked fine. After about 9 months we noticed the food in the back of the refrigerator especially on the top shelf started freezing. This started getting worse over the next 2 months. When I called Whirlpool 10/19/2015, 800-253-1301, I was told by their representative that this was normal, that air from the freezer blows into the refrigerator through vents and to just re-arrange my food so that it is not pushed to the back of the refrigerator. I asked him if this was normal why wasnt this happening in the first few months but only developed later? He had no answer. I asked him if it made sense if this was normal then everyone who buys this refrigerator has to make sure their food is not pushed to the back of the unit, then why dont they state that in the directions for use??? Ok everyone make sure every day you push all your food to the front of the unit so it doesnt freeze ridiculous. He just said thats the best thing to do. I asked him if I could talk to a technician, if maybe there was a way to fix it manually and he said there were no technicians there. I asked him if he knew about the lemon law and he said they dont have that there... ok. The refrigerator is just days after the 1 year purchase so he basically said just to call where I purchased it that Whirlpool could do nothing for me. Is this how Whirlpool trains their employees??? Good job Whirlpool, way to go. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. Will see how the repair goes and report back. Did not call sooner due to health issues. Its not like the refrigerator is years old and started to break down - this is within a year. Whirlpool doesnt care about quality. Will never buy Whirlpool again and will spread the word as often as I can.

Main door spring doesnt work so that you cant open door halfway. It flops all the way open. Very ordinary features and I dont use the dry feature. Nothing to praise here. Size is adequate for my needs. However, the bottom section where plates go isnt well designed. Dishes dont fit well. My Whirlpool electric range has been a nightmare! I bought this thing 5 years ago and I am having it replaced on Saturday! It had a cleaning thing where I put in distilled water and 20 minutes later I could just wipe it out. Not true. I had to use oven off??? Next the oven would not work. Learned if I turned off the power it would reboot itself! The next thing it did was all on its own it turned the temp. from 250 degrees to a full BROIL. The oven now will not heat up to 350 degrees! I just blew $1200.00! On the other hand I did buy a Whirlpool fridge. It has been awesome!

I hope the CEO posts this on a giant screen in front of all their employees. The first thing I did after moving into our new home is brag about the American made Whirlpool appliances. Being from the Midwest I take pride in made in the USA product and go out of my way to support homegrown companies. I know that a number of the components in my fridge include the fan that failed after 11 month were most likely sourced and manufactured in China... but that no excuse!! Whirlpool needs to do a better job of QC. You need to be passionate and rigorous with your testing. Dont reduce cost at the cost of your customer base. It is amazing were to the point where we can no longer compete with China in quality.Second is customer service, if you know you cant compete in quality you need to be able to make up for that with customer support. I called Whirlpool and scheduled an appointment the day the fridge quit working. I was upset that it would take three days to have a working fridge but I was understanding. Lucky for me I had an understanding neighbor too. Anyways, when the day came for my scheduled warranty repair I was told that Whirlpool was mistaken and that I wouldnt be able to get it serviced for another week! This is just unacceptable.Right away I called the Whirlpool customer service representative and manager to express my frustration with this error. They were polite and both agreed with my frustration. It also sounded as if they also didnt understand why their own company was doing such a poor job addressing repair issues. They made it sound like this was a common problem of people getting overbook at repair service providers. Again another fumble. Bottom line, due to my position, I dont really have a choice but to wait another week for a repair. Take note: Every time you lose a customer like me this you lose 10! I will now go out of my way to tell people about my negative experience rather than my positive. So disappointed.
