Worst service ever. This is my 4th refrigerator (I have 2 homes and moved a few times) and I have NEVER heard of a compressor going bad in 8 months. This was a new fridge, and all of my food went bad along with my infants milk. I cannot express how upset we were, and Whirlpool told us that they cant do anything for us, and it was just something that happens. Basically, they told me, Sorry for your loss... you should buy a longer warranty since this is not covered if it happens after a year. This is Whirlpools way of telling me, we dont care if you use our product. I am amazed that they wont give us even a credit for what happened. NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL.

I brought a Whirlpool refrigerator on 2/15/2020, French doors. Bottom freezer. I have had issues with the bottom freezer from day 1!! Ive had gaps in the gasket seal and air was coming from the freezer. This happened 3x. Now there is a build up of frost and ice. STAY AWAY!! Ive never had any issues with Whirlpool until I purchased this updated refrigerator. I should have stuck with my regular top freezer refrigerator. No issues!!

I have had this machine (Indesit IWDE126 Washer/Dryer) for a very short time; the washer is great. It does a 20 minute daily wash which is good however the dryer part screws up everything you put into it and ironing, even with steam, makes no difference at all. The WORST part is the organisation DONT CARE. I wrote to the Chief Executive, Jeff Fettig, who neither acknowledged my complaint or responded to it. I made this complaint in October 2016 and STILL do not know what the outcome is. If you are reading this review I honestly would look elsewhere for a better machine. Try MIELE. They are expensive but 2000% better.

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer, which I see has MANY complaints. I had a problem with the F1 issue during the first year. Same issue and I was also told Whirlpool knows it was bad design yet they refuse to help the consumer in anyway. Maybe 50% a new WP washer. Upon my call they will fix it for 389.00 and give a 1 year warranty again. Im no longer confident in WP products.

I am a Whirlpool Privilege Member - IFB privilege number **. This is Mrs ** here and I possess two Whirlpool Fridges, one single door and one double door (Elite Model). In fact, all my family members have Whirlpool refrigerators because I recommended them and because I have had a very satisfying experience with your service until now.I recently (first week of March) logged a complaint as my fridge was not working (it was working on and off). The Mechanic from the service center visited us and said that the compressor was at fault. I had some doubt about this as the Fridge was working on and off and I requested my friend who had a workshop to come and have a look. He checked and said that the compressor was working perfectly but looked like there was some problem in the supply of current which could be a loose contact or something. So I logged another complaint and when the mechanic came (this time a different one), I was out of the country and my husband was there in the house. He checked the fridge and said the compressor was working and apologized for the earlier mechanic’s wrong diagnosis. He also said that it was difficult that since the wires were inside the beading or the Puff, or whatever, the fridge could not be repaired.I am really astonished and pained by this comment by the mechanic as we spent a lot of money and bought a fridge for its brand worth name. I shudder to think if this complaint had happened two years after I brought it, should I simply throw the fridge because it cant be repaired? Is there anything at all where the company can say it can’t be repaired? Are fridges used and thrown in India? I am all the more worried because I have been recommending Whirlpool Fridges left and right to everyone and I tell them that there could be a situation when Whirlpool would ask you to simply throw your fridge away. I still have belief in Whirlpool and I firmly believe my recommendations would not go wrong, and it is only the fault of the mechanic who could have made this remark unwittingly.

Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine model WFW9150WW02 - This machine was purchas
Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine model WFW9150WW02 - This machine was purchased new in Sept. 2011 along with a brand new dryer. We started noticing a rumbling sound within the first year, but both machines did a fantastic job on the laundry. Then last week, the washing machine didnt spin out a load of laundry. We called the company and they scheduled a service visit through A&E Factory Service. The technician immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing and said that he had seen the problem frequently with this model and put it down to a design defect. The bearing is housed in a stainless sheath protected by a rubber seal, but the seal lets water in, which rusts the bearing. The cost to repair it was over $700. He suggested I call WP and ask for a concession, whereby the company would at least pick up all or part of the cost of parts. The service representative summarily dismissed the request, saying the company had no obligation to stand behind the product as the machine was out of warranty. I said that this was unacceptable. She was pleasant, but kept asking questions and putting me on hold. Ultimately, she said the same thing. Whirlpool was once a dependable name, no more.

I had a 6 year warranty on the new Water heater and about only 4 years into it the tank began leaking. Whirlpool replaced it but of course I was responsible for Parts and labor to replace it. The replacement only lasted just over only 2 years and just outside the total of 6 years from original purchase date on the first. Whirlpool refused to discuss it since it was a few months out of warranty. If someone else has purchased this heater it would have failed at 2 years and they would have had to warranty it anyway. I will never own another Whirlpool appliance because of their substandard products and warranty. I only wish I had reviewed the reviews of others and taken their experiences into consideration and not purchased Whirlpool. I am now out for another heater and reinstallation charges again.

The microwave keypad is worn down after 10 uses making it difficult to read the pad. I just discovered the microwave was missing the front leg and they do not have a replacement part so I am stuck with a virtually new microwave that will not balance. It took 4 phone calls to their customer service department to try and sort out the problem. Poor product and extremely weak customer service department.

I purchased this machine from Sears on 04/23/2016 and have had nothing but problems and issues with it. It is loud and makes different sounds every time I use it. It has overfilled and underfilled with water a few times, the machine shuts down while washing and I have had to restart the machine. Half the time the clothes come out covered in soap and I have to put them through another rinse cycle. My bedding always has to either go through a second rinse cycle due to being covered in soap or I have to rewash it because it is all packaged together in the fitted sheet and never got washed. During the spin cycle it sounds like it is getting ready launch into outer space and it vibrates excessively. On numerous occasions I have had to untie my clothes as they are tied in knots. There have been times that I had to put the clothes through another spin cycle because the clothes contained too much water. The final straw was last week (03/27/2019). I washed my sheets and they came out bundled up in the fitted sheet full of soap stains and I had to rewash them. When the sheets were done I put the comforter in the wash and started to clean the house. When I went into the laundry room the washer was not running but the wash light was on so I opened the lid and felt the comforter and found it to be dry. I closed the lid and pushed the start button. After a few seconds the washer shifted to rinse without even washing the comforter. When the washer stopped running and the ready light came on I removed the comforter, unplugged the machine, shut off the water, disconnected the water hoses, placed the machine on a dolly and took it to my scrap pile. I could not find any Whirlpool washers with any good reviews so I purchased a Speed Queen with a 5 year parts and labor warranty.

I purchased a washer 6 months ago and it was starting by itself so I called to get a technician out and it took them 3 days to tell me that they did not service in our area. Long story short I was out of a washer for 2 weeks talking back & forth with Whirlpool which was absolutely a nightmare. Kept me on hold forever and hung up on me several times so they didnt have to deal with the situation. Absolutely no customer service at all. When it came down to it they were going to issue me a new washing machine and I had to go to the store to get it and when I got to the store they told me I had a $415.00 credit to spend. Thats less than what I had paid for the washing machine and then I am having to spend an extra $200.00 out of pocket to get another washing machine. My warning to you is not to purchase any Whirlpool appliances unless you want to go thru pure hell. These people do not care about anyone after the product is sold. Their customer service sucks, their appliances suck and Whirlpool just sucks all the way around!! Worst experience I have ever had and I hope they never sell another appliance again!!

I have a Cabrio washer displaying the F-1 error code. I called on Thursday
I have a Cabrio washer displaying the F-1 error code. I called on Thursday, the 15th of Sept. I spoke to Vicky in the Cleveland, TN division. She told me that the F-1 code on my machine (model no. WTW6600SW2 and serial no. **) was covered under a recall at no cost, parts or labor (I specifically asked this question). She set up a service repair ticket with Freds Appliance at 888-453-7337 and gave me the date. I was home waiting when they called. The driver drove in the drive and asked if he was there for my Jenn-Air cook top! I said no, the F-1 error code on the washer. He explained that he had just used the last control board last week and he changes them frequently. I called Whirlpool. A very snotty Ashley proceeded to tell me that nothing was covered and I would have to pay. I asked for a supervisor and Ratna answered after a hold of 45 minutes on my cell. I explained the situation. After begging, she proceeded to tell me that she would pay for parts only. I explained that the tech did not have the parts, didnt even know the correct appliance, and now I have to take another day off work to meet him to have my washer fixed. I have not used the washer in two weeks. I used to only buy Whirlpool products. After reading all the complaints about the same error code from other consumers, I believe there are enough complaints that we as consumers should be protected.

My wife and I purchased this Cabrio washer 6 years ago when we got our new home. I have replaced the discharge pump 2 times, and approximately 2 months ago, we developed a noise so loud it was like a jet engine landing. I called our appliance store and paid $100 for an estimate, only to find out it will cost $973.00 to fix it. When we bought this, I was told it will be the last washer we will ever need. Ill never use Whirlpool again and recommend no one else does, either. I wrote to your customer chat line and basically the reply was Sorry about your luck. I know Im not the only one with this issue.

Whirlpool Hot Water Tank Thermocouple - This is the third thermocouple we have had to replace on this hot water tank in the last six years. Granted the part isnt that expensive, but the service call and replacement have cost us dearly. This is faulty tank and Whirlpool needs to recall this tank and replace them with new tanks. Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer Model WTW8800YC1 - I bought the Cabrio washer and dryer pair about 2 years ago at Lowes. About 5 weeks ago the lid fell apart. The hinge area came loose so now there are three pieces to line up (glass lid, metal arm, plastic frame), the fourth piece fell off completely. If you are successful at lining them up you can push the lid down and set a weight on it in order to wash. My first repairman said it was common issue. He expedited a lid. Three weeks later I called to find out when it may be repaired. He said he hadnt gotten the part from Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool... nice lady told me the part was on back order but should ship the first of the week. So on week 4 after not hearing anything I called a new appliance repair person. It is going to cost about $280 dollars to repair. This is one third the cost of a new washer??? I fight with this machine every day to get it to wash.

We bought a Whirlpool Dishwasher for a vacation home thinking it was a good brand. It was not a low end model. After two years of infrequent summer use it would start and then not complete a cycle. Looking on the internet I learned the control panel was known to be faulty. An appliance repair person also confirmed that the control panel was known to be faulty. Why are they allowed to sale defective appliances? I also feel Lowes Hardware is not without blame for unloading faulty equipment on unsuspecting consumers. What recourses do consumers have? I cannot afford another dishwasher after purchasing an appliance expected to last for years.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loader High-Efficiency Machine on March 20, 2013. 14 months later, it failed. When I called customer service I was informed the 1 year warranty had expired (I knew this already) and that all they could offer me was a $319 extended warranty to fix machine and guarantee covered future repairs. Luckily, I had the machine repaired at no cost to me after complaining to the sales people I bought the machine from the year earlier. They contacted their Whirlpool representative who had the repair covered. Now, 3 years and 11 days after purchasing it, it failed again. This time the machine would no longer spin out the water. Whirlpool offered nothing more than to give the website and special code for a discount on a new machine. After some haggling, they agreed to pay for 50% of the parts only, no labor. I argued this machine must be a lemon, as they have told me theyve heard no prior issues with this machine and that it would be reasonable to replace this machine. They refused any further assistance. So I threw this piece of junk away and instead, for $185, bought a simple rebuilt 15 year old Maytag washer with agitator, direct drive. Just a couple of knobs. No computer, fancy bells and whistles. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never purchase a Whirlpool product ever again. I also believe these machines are no longer meant to last like old washers (and dryers) used to.

My father and I both got the Whirlpool Gold gas furnace 3 seasons ago. I can't tell you how happy we both are! Our heating bills plummeted; the unit is quiet and does a fantastic job. I am 50 and I have to admit this is in the top 5 of the best purchases I ever made. For me to take the time to find a place to write a review 3 years later should be testament to how happy I am. Make sure you have it professionally installed! Don't skimp here…this is the key!

I purchased a range and refrigerator from Whirlpool and have had nothing but problems with them ever since. Ive only had the range for years and (2) of the top burners are no longer working. Again, the refrigerator is only 5 years old and its handle has broken 5 times. I have needed to replace the handle every year that Ive owned the refrigerator. Whirlpool only offered a (1) years warranty for these faulty appliances and then immediately started to bug me about purchasing an extended warranty. I guess they knew that their junk would hold up, so they started pushing a warranty. Finally, their customer service while apologetic, are very robotic and appeared to have heard my complaint before. So, SAVE YOURSELF SOME AGGRAVATION AND PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND. For if you dont heed my warning just know that youve been warned.

Our dishes always come out completely clean and without spotting. I dont like having to get down into the machine and clean out the filter/trap, so I pre-rinse everything that goes into the machine, so that might help. Regardless, this machine does an excellent job. This is the Whirlpool Gold Series bought in 2013. It has numerous settings, such as delay, varying cycles, air dry, heat dry, etc. All the features work as expected, but like most owners probably do, I leave it set on the same settings all the time. It does what I want and does it very quietly. This is a standard, under-counter, full-sized machine. The outside of the dishwasher is stainless and the inside has a plastic lining. The controls are at the top of the front door, so that leaves the front completely clean-looking. Love it.

On April 17th mid morning I noticed that the freezer side was not keeping items Frozen. Everything was melting period. I then opened up the refrigerator side all the items are not as cool as they should be. I then proceeded to do a Google search to see what I should check for in regards to the freezer and the refrigerator side not keeping cool. I then proceeded to pull the refrigerator out to inspect the back of the refrigerator. When I did that I noticed there was a hot mark on my wall, as well as a huge it burn mark on my floor. I then unplug to the refrigerator do the huge fire hazard and I touched my floor and it was very hot to the touch.I called my stepfather who is a firefighter and had him come over right away. He said we needed to take the refrigerator outside right away because the compressor had overheated and that is why it started to burn my floor. He then went to the fire station and got a heat sensor check machine, and we checked my wall and floor and we had to make sure that it was cooling down so it did not start my floor boards on fire so then we had to put a fan on it to cool it down. I then went and purchased a new refrigerator, due to this one was no longer able to be used or repaired. The refrigerator was only four years and 5 months old. For a $1,300 refrigerator it should last longer than 4 years.I called Whirlpool the following day or two days later and regards to this issue. The only thing they could tell me is that they were sorry, this refrigerator almost started my home on fire and we have six children a family of 8. It ruined my floor and part of my wall in my kitchen and we have lost a few hundred dollars and groceries. This is ridiculous and not the first time, I read a few others having this issue, Whirlpool said they have never received any complaints in regards to the refrigerator burning the floor and does not see it as a fire hazard at all.

Whirlpool’s customer service is one of the worst I have encountered. They consider a 6-7 year old $1500.00 range to be old! I said to her, “Wow, if the population was to throw their Whirlpool appliances into the landfills after 7 years, this would be quite a horrendous situation.” I think its disgusting for a company to build appliances with a shelf life of 6-7 years and with only a 1-year warranty! What a horrible brand! I will never buy another Whirlpool brand product ever again. You spend $1500.00 on a range oven and then around 5 to 7 years the control board blows out and costs another $500.00 to replace plus a service agents fee to remove and install.I asked the Whirlpool agent if I could get the control board discounted and she refused and said, “I am sorry, we are unable to help you.” Pathetic! Their cost on these boards is around $120.00 or so. I was told by an appliance service rep they could discount that $500.00 board even half and still make a decent profit. Do not ever buy Whirlpool. Go with other brands instead. Their customer service policies are horrible. Your hard-earned money will be buying an appliance with a 6 to 7-year shelf life before major repairs.

I purchased a fridge from them a little over a year ago. First and LAST EVER. The freezer door started to sag and when I called them I was told my warranty expired a month ago. Had a Whirlpool service person look at it and told me that the cost is $110 plus $45. I said that is fine. They scheduled another appointment but I received a call 12 minutes before the time expired (as you know they say in the afternoon and no exact time and they said between 2 and 4:30) and the guy asked me what is wrong with the fridge. I told him that someone took a look at it a week prior but I had to go through the whole thing. Then he said that they dont have the part and I have to wait for a week. This was a Saturday before Xmas and waited all afternoon to be told that was very upsetting. Any how I called customer service and spoke with a Michelle. She said she is going to try and find out if she can waive the additional service fee, arrange the time and will comp the parts (around $15). After 45 minutes on the phone I had to jump off for a business call so Michelle said she will email me and I gave her my email.Few hours passed and no email. When I called back the idiot that answered the phone kept saying that the warranty is out and I need to call another number so I asked for a supervisor. I was on hold for 11 minutes then I was hung up on. I called again and asked for a supervisor. Spoke with Benjamin (Opt# **), he said that Michelle notes did not state anything about help in possibly waiving anything and that I refused the parts. I was furious. What a LIE. Long story short he said they cant waive anything and I should call the scheduling number for any help. I asked to speak to Michelle and guess what the answer was... SHE IS BUSY. What the hell. The service is well below zero as well as the quality of the product. I am going to send a letter to the office of President (Jeff Fettig) Whirlpool Corp. 2000 North M-63, Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022-2692. It is so sad when corporation are so big that little people who buy their products dont mean much to them.

The only reason I am giving it one star is because it looks good in my kitchen. This dishwasher does not clean the dishes. I’ve had it serviced twice, both having to wait for parts, I am very disappointed. Having to run the dishwasher two times to find myself hand washing... Is annoying. Dissatisfied. I don’t put certain dishes in and run very scant loads. Family of six is not happy!

I purchased this machine in February 2019. The standard one-year warranty covered the first service call less than one year later. This call was related to the main control board. If this part goes out it will prevent the washer from advancing through the cycles. A technician was able correct this problem by resetting control board. That was sometime the first year. The next call was for the same problem and it cost me $90 to have a technician reset the board again. I then learned how to do it myself through online research. However, I had to do it more regularly and this got old as you can imagine. I did buy myself about two months of time by purchasing a used part but it soon failed as well. This main control board cost $564 if you get it from the manufacturer. This exceeds the cost of the machine. It was purchased in 2019. (The same machine has gone up to $740 today.) I had no other problems with that appliance however, it appears nowadays with electronics taking over cycles vs. mechanical parts you will not enjoy the same longevity as I did when I got 16 years out of a GE washer before this one. I have replaced this machine with a competitors product that costs less than the part except for the 5-year warranty from Lowes.

Whirlpool Refrigerator model #GI6FARXXY0 - Bought this refrigerator at Las Vegas Store #3305 Home Depot, 12/07/2012. July 2014, the ice maker stops working. I replace it with another Whirlpool ice maker and that one stops and leaks water from the dispenser all over my floor. Im on my 3rd ice maker and its not working! I have no warranty but still...a refrigerator should last longer than this at these prices. Im trying to research problems with this refrigerator and it looks like now the refrigerator model has been discontinued! Cant find anything on it. I paid close to $1,800.00 and it lasted 1 year 1/2? Its turning into a money pit. My question is... after looking at all of the complaints concerning ice makers and water leaks on Whirlpool refrigerators... why hasnt Whirlpool addressed this problem with a recall?? Obviously, these ice makers are faulty even the ones you replace them with. The repairman told me there are no warranties and they would not take returns on them. Whirlpool knows there is a problem and doesnt address it. Consumers should be protected from businesses that know of problems and refuse to take care of them with customers. They are still selling faulty Whirlpool ice makers??? I paid extra to have a working ice maker and expected it to last more than a year and half for the price of this French Door, bottom freezer, refrigerator did. The doors look terrible as they do not clean nicely and leave streaks. From the looks of some of these complaints, this may only be a beginning of problems with this appliance. Totally disappointed in this product. I know I wont be looking at any more Whirlpool products. Im disgusted with their faulty products and no accountability. If theres a recall, count me in!

I purchased this Whirlpool Aqualift oven at now bankrupt HH Gregg so my recourse is limited. I loved the look of the slide in range and the salesman raved about the quality of this appliance. First the ceramic top is a nightmare to keep clean, not mentioned at purchase. The Aqualift feature is totally useless. I use my oven on a very limited basis. Putting water in the bottom of oven does absolutely nothing to clean oven and even less on sides and oven door. I spent a substantial amount of money on this so called self clean oven and I am so disappointed in results. It does not get off even a minimum of spots, I would hate to have something actually spill over. Aqualift does not work and then you are advised to not use anything else to clean it, so what now?

On November 1, 2011, I purchased the Whirlpool Estate washer (model # ETW4400XQ) from Wholesale Appliance in Charleston, SC. The first time I used it I knew something wasnt right when both the regular and so-called gentle cycle agitated at an incredibly fast speed. It is damaging my clothes. I called the dealer and they sent out a service person. He said that was just the way it was and he couldnt do anything. So, I keep trying to use the gentle cycle, but it was the same thing. I would have to stand by the machine and stop it after a couple of minutes so it wouldnt ruin the clothes. The more I thought about it, I decided that the repairman wasnt right. I called Whirlpool customer service and they sent a different repair service. He also said that he couldnt do anything to make it slow down as it was programmed by a computer inside and he could not change it. I went to the dealer, Wholesale Appliances, and they said there was nothing they could do as far as giving me a refund or a discount on a better machine. The setting on the washer clearly says gentle cycle.” Well, the whole world knows that does not mean beat the clothes to death as fast as possible. Can you make any suggestions? Thanks.

Wish we had gone online to check all the complaints otherwise we would have NEVER bought a Whirlpool model #EB9FVHLVS. Only 3 years old. First repair call to fix a manufacturers faulty grommet manifested by leaking in the bottom freezer portion. Just outside the warranty - did not purchase extended. Now I know why retailers recommend the extended. My sister overheard the repairman call in the product to his contact at Platinum Appliance Service Inc., and he made direct reference to the model number in the category of Whirlpool products known to have this specific design flaw, and that the product was never recalled but customers were directed to purchase a repair kit to fix the problem. Apparently this became a very well documented and repeated incident within the 1-2 year purchase date of these products and models with the known factory installed defect were still sent out to retailers at a reduced cost with no reference, warning or attention to the factory defect. Now 4 months after the first call we have to call in for another repair issue because our light in both compartments and the motor shuts off for hours at a time. We lost about $80 in meat products, so now were afraid to keep any costly items in the freezer because we cant afford to replace a $100 of thawed products every week on top of groceries already bought!!! It seems as though Whirlpool is gleefully generating business for appliance repair while making more than one hole in the consumers wallet.

When I first bought this machine I loved the big tub, but I was concerned that there was no agitator. It confuses me how clothes can get clean if there is nothing to rub them again. Even in the olden days they rub clothes against a board. Well my concern is valid and I believe the washing machine industry needs to go back to the old model, as this new version does not work. Here are all the problems: 1) The machine judges how much water to put in. This doesnt work. I follow the directions and outline the perimeter and dont overload, yet still it just barely puts in enough water to make the clothes wet. Im all for conserving the environment, but enough water needs to be provided to actually get the clothes clean. I would like to be the judge of how much water should be used, so I would like to be able to tell the machine if it is a small, medium or large load. I do believe that the lack of enough water is why the clothes do not come out as clean as they should and why they end up smelling (see #4). 2) There is no agitator, so there is really nothing available to help clean the clothes. Spinning them around like a maniac is not enough, which leads me to the next problem. 3) The clothes come out twisted terribly and then many times come out of the dryer wrinkled because of how hard they were twisted. I tried to select a less harsh spin cycle, but then the clothes are too wet to put in the dryer. There is no happy medium.4) Biggest problem to date: Our clothes/towels have all started smelling. You know that smell when you leave your clothes in the washer too long (like two days) and then put them in the dryer? Its that smell. The clothes/towels dont smell when you immediately take them out, but they do smell at any bit of moisture. When I dry myself off after the shower, I notice the newly washed bath towel smells like a wet dog. I have used the pods, liquid detergent and powder. I dont remember having the smell problem when I first bought the machine and used powder, so I just returned to using powder today. (Ive even tried doubling up on the pods, but the clothes still smell.)This leads me to problem number 5: When using powder in this machine, the machine does not empty the powder container completely, and so the clothes do not get the required amount of detergent. Often there are clumps left over in the powder dispenser, but not always. (This is what led me to go to the pods and liquid detergent in the first place.) But at least with powder (I use Gain) my towels dont stink after the first time I used them.I wouldnt recommend this machine. I really researched machines before I purchased this one, but they all had bad reviews, so how do you pick? And I never look at the good reviews because we all know so many people are paid to rave about products they know nothing about, or it is a company employee writing the review. This machine is a huge disappointment. I am going to try adding a rinse cycle like a previous reviewer suggested. Maybe the extra water will help with the smell. Of course this is not good for the environment though, so this whole way of making washing machines with no agitator and limiting water defeats the energy efficient goal.

All I ever wanted was a nice refrigerator with the ability to get crushed ice from the door. We bought our refrigerator from Lowes several years ago and have had problems with the ice dispenser ever since. Lowes sent repairmen many times and even replaced the one we purchased with a newer model. Whirlpool refused to replace. The problem persisted and we had to continue calling repairmen. The last straw was when the repairman asked to borrow my hair dryer to help him melt the ice that continuously builds up in the door chute. I stopped going through Lowes and went directly to whirlpool for repairs. Since then I have been told that I should remove the ice box and clean out weekly, be nicer in order to get better help and that my husband should do the talking so that Whirlpool will be more helpful. I am so disappointed. Its been a couple of years since I last called for repairs even though we had the extended warranty. I have to clean the chute daily in order to get crushed ice from the door. Whirlpool knows that their engineers developed an ice dispenser with problems but will not admit it. Their customer service is the worst ever. I will never buy a whirlpool refrigerator again.

This product is under warranty. By the time it cracks through, it will be too late to do anything about it. I have a similar problem with my stainless steel Whirlpool bottom freezer refrigerator, model EB9FVHRWS01, purchased in May 2011 from Sears Canada. Exactly a year later, right after the warranty expired, I started getting ice forming on the floor under the bottom freezer. I have been cleaning it out on a weekly basis for the past just over a year. If I dont clean it out, then water seeps out onto the floor. I purchased an extended warranty for my new stove but didnt for my fridge.A co-worker had the exact same problem, with ice forming on the bottom freezer exactly a year later. He purchased the extended warranty and had the Sears repairman come in and replace a $50 part (box in back) ($150 labour). The repairman said this is a manufacturers defect in these fridges and theyve had many such cases. Apparently, the box in the back freezes up and water cant drain to where its supposed to go to be evaporated so it drips to the bottom of the freezer. I contacted Whirlpool and inquired, and they said there was no defect or noted problems with my model. Now Im contemplating whether or not I should spend the $200 and get the defective part replaced. Sigh.

I did, and they refused stating that the product is now out of the one-year warranty. This is clearly defective. I am now faced with $1,000 fix. The ice machine stopped making ice and started dripping from the dispenser and the freezer stopped freezing food. I called and was told to purchase an extended warranty which cost me $375.00. The service tech has been to my house 12 times over the last 9 months. They have replaced multiple parts and even started replacing parts a second time. I was instructed by the service tech to call and request a replacement fridge. Whirlpool customer service told me that it would have to be considered a lemon before they replaced the product. I was told that would require each component to be replaced 3 times. I would need to take off work 27 more times for the repairs!!! The service tech came out one more time and he said there was nothing else he could do. I called again to complain and even wrote to Whirlpool corporation (though they never called me back at my request). After much complaining, which I do not normally do, they have decided to replace the unit. BUT I have to pay and additional $476.29 for them to replace this unit!!! I feel like I was totally raked over the coals from this company. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again and I recommend you do not either.

I purchased this heater in 2009. I have had so much problems with the pilot staying lit or the thermocouple. Had to have that changed, have to clean under heater monthly. I have called Whirlpool numerous times because the pilot light goes out. Now I have a problem with it staying lit. Whirlpool tells me I have to pay for service labor. They sent out a technician who broke the igniter and I am being told I have to pay labor cost to have this fixed. THEIR TECHNICIAN BROKE THE IGNITER BUT THEY WANT ME TO PAY THE LABOR COST TO FIX WHAT HE BROKE. I have had it with Whirlpool. This heater is a piece of garbage as far as I am concerned. I am tired of having no hot water.

Flamingo Appliances is the name of the company that does services for Whirlpool in my city. They keep changing parts and today is the 3rd visit that the technician will be in my house trying to solve the problem. Customer service in Michigan is DISGUSTING! I probably have to buy another oven because they say they wont replace it if they think its fixable. 3 MONTHS! I will never buy Whirlpool again. I hate them.

Bought on 9/11/2014 and installed by Lowes installers on the 15th. It quit heating two days later. Called Lowes and they said I would have to call Whirlpool. I did. WP had me metering with a multi-meter until found OTC button was tripped. Then they suggested I troubleshoot the elements and sent me a video. I called Lowes and they said they would replace. Later they called back and said WP would not give them a RA number and for me to call them. I did and the rep after much arguing directed me to call their factory authorized service, A & E. I did and they said it would be 33 days before they could come out. I hung up and called Lowes who called back later and wanted me to call WP again. This time they said they did not have a repair service close enough to come, but I could try buying the lower heating element and replacing it to see if that worked. I said no, the heater was brand new and they needed to fix it. Their next solution was have me contact a local plumber and arrange to troubleshoot, me pay the plumber and then send them the bill. They would reimburse me up to $100.00. Not acceptable and now the button has to be reset every few hours and the water gets scalding hot while it is heating. I called Lowes and they said they would get back to me, but I have little hope of a resolution. Product number is ** SN is ** Model is E2F50HD045V. Bought at Lowes, Lindale, TX.

I purchased a Whirlpool duet front load washer 1/2013 new from Lowes. In 5 yrs it is my 2nd washer of Whirlpool. After 2 1/2 yrs, the bearings have gone out, also every time I run the cleaning cycle, water leaks out under the washer. My boyfriend looked the parts to fix the washer, since I called Lowes concerning the warranty and its out. Cost to repair, just in parts would be around $400, I paid a lot of money for a product to last only 2 1/2 yrs. Such a lack of quality in workmanship. With these price, there should be better quality. Do not purchase a whirlpool. 2 washers for them in 5 yrs is not a great track record.

The control panel is difficult to use. It’s much too easy to switch power from the top oven to the bottom oven without knowing it. In addition, the plastic cover over the control panel makes it difficult to use especially if your fingers have flour or oil on them. It would be much easier and more accurate if knobs were used to control the all the functions instead of a electronic screen. Also, the clock has never operated accurately. Always runs fast. Temperature of the ovens is pretty accurate. However, it does take a long time to reach chosen temperature. Both ovens are large and able to handle an 18 inch round pizza dish. Other than the control panel, I’m pleased with both the gas stove top and both electric ovens.

My elderly mother purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine in 2013 (Model Number WTW8600YW1). It never filled properly with water. It evolved to a sensor and circuit board issue that Whirlpool never totally remedied. Hence, the machine never worked properly. This 800 dollar purchase on an elderly persons limited budget had to be utilized minimally. Now fast forward in 2015, even with minimal usage and white glove handling, the machine is displaying an F51 error. You guessed it, Whirlpool will not remedy the issue, although it is well-documented to be a widespread complaint hence clearly a product defect. Shame on Whirlpool, their business practices, and what amounts to theft of an elderly womans finite income. I have advised my mother to trash the useless Whirlpool appliance and purchase a Kenmore washing machine, of which I have been the proud owner for 10 years, doing laundry for a family of 5.

We hate the matching Cabrio washer dryer bought in 2011: Dryer lower blower went out after 18 months in service. The day it went out whirlpool sent me the extended warranty offer. Warranty had expired 6 months prior. I renewed for 12 months and promptly called for a repair. Cost was approximately $450.00, all covered under the newly paid for warranty. I dodged a bullet there. Washer has the splintering fiberglass around the top. Lower bearing is out and sounds like a freight train coming out of the laundry room. Not going to have it repaired. Looking for new units not manufactured by whirlpool. Shameful ROI. No more whirlpool products in our house.

I had new transmission put on, still wont agitate and smells hot. The washer is only 18 months old, well taken care of. This expensive hunk of junk is worthless and the aggravation for all this mess is worse. I called Whirlpool 2 times. The first time, I got a call with the standard oh so sorry bit. Oh boy, that gets the washer fixed. Not. I blasted them and Lowes again. I have had it with this mess. The repairman is supposed to contact Lowes a week ago for replacement. He has done zero. I called Lowes to check. How can they sell this junk to customers who pay for this washer? We replaced our dishwasher today with another brand. Many of the tines on the drying rack had rusted and broken off. We have been told to only purchase Nylon racks. I hope this is good advice. I had the junky gas water heater for two years and cant keep the thing lit. Calling Whirlpool does no good. They give you the runaround; the store cant do anything. They know they have a faulty product and keep selling it. Some companies are only out for the money. If that wasnt the case, they would discontinue the junk. EveryDay Care? Every day I hope the part needed to make my new Whirlpool refrigerator work again is delivered so it can be repaired. I bought it in December and since then the WRF992FIFM has had the ice maker fail and need replacement and the fan unit in the refrigerator went out 2 days later. It has been nearly a week now and I am using dry ice to keep my refrigerator cold enough to store some food. The authorized repair service did not have the part and Whirlpool is shipping it directly to me but I do not know when. No tracking info, nothing. Three days and no delivery. Then I must call the repair service back to schedule yet another appointment to install it. Meanwhile, I am paying $13.00 to $20.00 per day for dry ice, not to mention the time I had to take off of work for three service calls - for an appliance I took delivery of on December 21st! Less than 2 months. I am finding out quickly that Whirlpool is very generous with apologies and stingy with results. I should have checked the Whirlpool FB page before making my purchase. But they sure are quick to try and sell you the extended warranty. I am developing a whopping case of buyers remorse.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRX9885IBM01 French Doors - We purchased this $2,000+ dollar refrigerator in December of 2014 and within two weeks of plugging it in, we noticed the freezer drawer was crooked and ice crystals in the freezer compartment. We contacted Whirlpool re the matter and they dispatched a local serviceman. He informed us that the inner lining of the refrigerator was crooked and he contacted Whirlpool. He sent pictures of the crooked drawers and was advised by Whirlpool to adjust the outside door, but nothing could be done for the inside crookedness and that he was to take silicone and seal the refrigerator to prevent air coming in to create the ice... Really? We told him that was merely a Band-Aid to the problems and we wanted a replacement. According to Whirlpool, they can only service our month old refrigerator and cannot replace it.Actually, they cannot even service the defective product they sell, they can only caulk the problem until it comes again. I am not going to stop until everybody in the country buying a refrigerator thinks first about the warranty Whirlpool offers. In all of my 50 years of marriage and buying stoves, I have never had an oven breakdown. I live in Canada - I purchased three appliances, all Whirlpool 2 years ago. I had to have a service call on the fridge three weeks ago - a little rubber nipple was clogged up and water was running into my freezer. Bill $100.00 - two weeks ago, the broil element in my stove would not turn off when the bake cycle heated up. Actually, you did not have to press the fast heat button as the broil came on by itself. I have been waiting almost two weeks for the part - today I was told it would be another week. The part has to come from the US - what ever happened to Whirlpool Canada???? - I am told the bill will be $350.00 and maybe more plus the service call. I do not find this acceptable. I purchased a Whirlpool electric stove WFE540HOES 3 weeks ago from Best Buy. 2 Main complaints: Extended cooking time when using the oven. Food that should bake in 14 minutes was taking 25. Food that should bake in 30 minutes was taking 50, etc. The big issue was that the exterior of the stove was getting extremely HOT when using the oven. The area behind the handle and the storage drawer were so hot I had to use a towel to open it w/o getting burned. Thought it was a faulty stove so I exchanged it for the same model. Just got the replacement and its worse than the 1st one! The heat permeates from the bottom of the door and heats up the storage drawer below. The area behind the handle and the enamel edge of the stove get so hot. Its definitely a safety hazard if not fire hazard. Anyone else experience this??? Its going back!
