I brought a whirlpool dishwasher in 2013. It never did clean dishes, had to wash them by hand before putting them in dishwasher. Had someone come out and check it. He told me I was using wrong type of soap, so I changed. That didn’t do a thing. Now I have mold growing in the dishwasher because the tub is cracked all around the inside. Called whirlpool, of course they couldn’t do anything about it. Have never heard of dishwasher cracking. So today, Lowes came out and took picture of crack that is where I brought it. So am waiting to find out what is going to happen. Will not ever buy whirlpool again and will tell all my friends.

Model # WMH 1163XVQ-1 manufactured 2010 however I purchased and installed it in July 2011. Noticed a small crack at the base of the handle about a year later. Within the past couple of weeks cracks are appearing everywhere including around the handle, the entire exterior frame as well as interior frame of the door. Neither my wife nor I slam the door or mishandle it to cause this damage. Called Whirlpool this week. Bottom line is that it would cost nearly as much to get a new door as to buy another microwave. This is an over the stove model. My previous microwave was GE and lasted over 15 years. Wont buy Whirlpool again.

Dont buy. Purchased over the range microwave. Service order less than a week after install. Heats unevenly. Burns center of bacon consistently without fully cooking ends. Popcorn pops half the kernels yet Whirlpool says nothing wrong with product. Well within 1 year warranty but had to pay for service call cause Whirlpool determined microwave was operating as manufactured. Laughable! This company does not stand behind their product or their customers. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product.

You have to take into account that this microwave doesn’t heat up as others I’ve had so even if the instructions call for something to be cooked for 5 minutes, you have to add at least 2 minutes more. If not it would be undercooked.

I bought a Whirlpool fridge in June of 2014 and the plastic part of the stainless steel handle that attaches it to the fridge broke about a month or so later. After replacing the fridge because the company said they no longer made the part they gave me a new fridge and with that one the door would not close without leaving a gap of about 1/3rd of an inch open at the hinge side. They took that fridge back and sent me a new fridge. A week later I got in the mail a handle for the first fridge which I no longer had. About a week after that I noticed that the latest and third fridges handle had a crack in the same place. Whirlpool sent me 5 replacement parts and they were all defective with the same crack visible in the replacements. Finally I got a replacement handle that looked good and it broke today, Feb 6th 2016, in the same place as the first one. I should mention that each time the company replaced the fridge it was with a different and better model and each with a slightly different handle. There are other design flaws with the fridge. The door is in a corner and there are cabinets on the wall so the door can only open slightly more than 90 degrees which makes it impossible to open the crisper drawer enough to get a cabbage in it and if I want to clean the crisper drawer I must move and turn the fridge in the kitchen. Also if the crisper drawer is not closed completely it causes the guard rail on the bottom door shelf to fly off sending everything on the bottom shelf to fall to the floor. Fun when some are made of glass and filled with liquid. You would think I would have learned my lesson about this company but no! I went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and when I saw that the automatic door would not open enough to dispense the soap, powder or packet I called a certified Whirlpool repairman who told me after receiving a duplicate that of course would not work either, that there was no solution to the problem and I went back to Lowes and bought a Samsung and my problems were solved. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER Whirlpool or as I now call it, Whirledpoo, product, EVER.

Our Whirlpool water heater needs a burner assembly replaced. Second time within the warranty period of six years. Parts have to be ordered, so you will be without hot water for several days to a week. The worst part is reaching them. Between my wife and I, we have almost 4 hours invested in sitting on hold waiting for someone in three different calls. They never answer the phone. They give an option to call back. They never call back. Im so frustrated. No Whirlpool products ever again. Im sitting at my desk, hoping someone will eventually answer the Whirlpool line. I dont even have the part ordered yet after two days of no hot water. Who knows how many more hours I will need to sit here and listen to this music on hold. It is incredible in 2021 a company can remain open while offering this kind of customer experience.

I Bought the Whirlpool Duet Steam Mod#: WFW95HEDC0 in 2015. I have always wondered how a machine can get clothes clean with less water but liked the idea of the energy star and saving water. However, I found that I was right and the clothes do not get very clean. They do not even get all wet hence the dry feeling when they are done. I just recently got a little frustrated at having to rewash some things by hand afterwards. I started to pretreat and wash out stains by hand beforehand. That helped some. I finally stopped the machine after all the water was done filling it and it tumbled a bit. It looked like it was wet from the window but when I dug through the clothes I pulled out a t-shirt that was almost bone dry. Some of the other thicker clothes like jeans etc. had a lot of dry spots too. This is why the odors don’t come out and why spots and lines are left where the dry meets the wet. There just isn’t enough water get all the material wet. I then proceeded to pour a pail of water in to get all the clothes wet. When I started it back up, it drained some of the water and I still had the problem. So now I get all the clothes wet in the sink before I put them in the washer. It’s amazing how clean they got and they didn’t have the body odors either. I think this machine would be fine if it could be reprogrammed to add more water for cycles. I know that would change the “Energy Star” but this water saving idea is bogus if we have to rewash and add more water to the cycles. At this point I will be looking for a new machine that doesn’t have the energy star but allows me to adjust the water myself. I do not trust these machines anymore.

Doesnt wash clothes properly - often some items of clothing just dont get wet. After 3 years the whole main bearing in it failed, causing unbelievable noise and constant overload faults. All Whirlpool top load washers have this critical design fault where water leaks into the main bearing (the bearing is an unsealed type with a cheap grommet seal) and then after a year or 2 the bearing starts to cease and the machine overloads itself trying to operate. Replacing the bearing means pulling the whole machine apart - and with a cheap press-fit bearing like this, special tools are needed and it will never operate smoothly again anyhow. In any case in 2 years, the faulty bearing seal design will let water destroy the bearing again. Effectively it is not repairable. Sounds like class action to me. So, it became an $1000 paperweight and I bought a new Samsung unit. I assume the Koreans know how to design bearings and seals...

Bought these Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum combo about three years ago, nothing but junk from the get go! Washer never gets clothes clean, towels always come out smelling mildew and sour no matter what liquid soap you use Tide, Gain, whatever same results. Plus always mold coming from inside tub and yes we use refresh weekly and wash it out on refresh setting. I’m so tired of our towels smelling sour but can’t afford to buy new washer and dryer living on fixed income. If I could these would be in the recycling yard now. From everything I’m reading all new H e machines are crap and energy efficient my foot. I wish for my old style washer and dryer. WHIRLPOOL YOU HAVE LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER!

I am a retiree after 35 years and 5 months, the last 20 plus years on salary. I purchased a new Whirlpool washer on April 18, 2012 at Lowes in Tiffin, Ohio. The clerk said to take the receipt to Clyde to apply for my rebate. I was informed by a receptionist that we only get a rebate if our purchase is from Sears. I only went to Lowes because of the urgency and was not aware of this change in your policy. I consider this a real slap in the face after all the years of what I consider excellent service to Whirlpool Corporation.

After 50+ years of doing laundry, I had to purchase my 3rd washer. I bought the new top loader without an agitator. I very quickly learned that it has no lint filter. My first load was towels and mats. The lint clogged up my tub and drain pouring water all over the floor. Since then it has ruined many of my clothes which are mostly sweaters and sweater-knits. Without a lint filter, it deposits the lint right back on the clothes where it stays forever unless I shave or pick it off, even though Ive turned them inside-out. (Time consuming waste!) Even my socks have little balls of lint. It seems the only safe fabrics are new, smooth woven cottons, cotton-blends and slippery nylon providing there is no lace or brushed elastic. Now to the no fabric-softener dispenser... The Downy ball simply doesnt work, and theres no other way to add it. Waiting to use dryer sheets is too late; the damage is done. My clothes are dingy. In my 50+ years of ownership, I have never had to purchase a separate product to wash my washer so that it doesnt stink... and it does. Why does it lock after starting? If I could afford to replace it, I would... but I cant.

My Cabrio was built in April 2016, its now Feb 2019, and its not working. Shows error code of LF, the inlet water value is bad. I bought a Sears protection plan, repairman comes out, tells me no-one has the part anywhere, its backordered and no way to know when it will deliver. Sounds like a scam so Sears doesnt have to fix it and Whirlpool makes little to none of the part so you have to buy a new machine. This machine also takes forever to wash clothes, sometimes part of the clothes come out dry because not enough water. Its a huge tub, but of no use because theres not enough water to clean properly therefore, you have to do small loads. I always put it on high water because the other features like, quick wash & normal do not give but only little streams of water! The first one I had delivered made a funny noise from day one so Sears replaced it the next day. This one has NOT even lasted 3 yrs. There needs to be new legislation placed upon these companies with regards to the products they make. It should be illegal to make such junk and be able to charge high dollar for it and it doesnt operate well or last very long. They are laughing all the way to the bank on everyones dollar, intentionally making products that last less than a few years! I Will NOT purchase Whirlpool or any of their products again! They owe me a new Cabrio and Im going to make sure I get it and get my moneys worth! DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS JUNKER! DONT BE FOOLED BY ITS PRETTY SLEEK LOOK.

I purchased a new Whirlpool 29 cubic ft. french door bottom freezer Refrigerator 11-22-2013. On 4-18-2014, I noticed water on the floor and realized my ice maker had quit working and the ice melted. I called Stantons APL. where I purchased it from and a service tech came on 4-22-2014. He checked the fridge out and after five mins said this is a model that has a known defect in it and it would have to be totally rebuilt. I then called Whirlpool and told them I want a new Refrigerator. I told them I paid for a new appliance, not a rebuilt one. The Whirlpool rep said they would need a second opinion and scheduled a different company to come out for service. This happened on 4-25-2014 which by this time I lost all my food in ref and freezer. He was there about ten mins. and said its gone out and it will have to be totally rebuilt. He calls Whirlpool tech support to help him figure out how to take out bottom door because he didnt know how. WHIRLPOOL tells the tech they want him to tear my refrigerator apart and run diag. test on it to see how it performs under certain codes. I tell Whirlpool they can run all the test they want after they replace my refrigerator and my food. The Whirlpool rep says, That aint happening. So I say, Then I need to talk to your supervisor. After going through four supervisors, I finally get to the person who reluctantly agrees to replace the refrigerator and says give her 24 to 48 hours to make it happen. 60 hours, still waiting on a response. Will let you know what happens. Shame on you Whirlpool for deceiving the public.

Purchased a Whirlpool french door refrigerator at Lowes less than two years ago. Last week the freezer compartment failed, out of the one-year warranty of course. The independent tech who came to service the machine told me of all the refrigerators he services Whirlpools are the closest to total junk and he would never recommend them. Wish I knew him before I bought this soon to be piece of trash. The CEO of Whirlpool, Jeff Fettig, received total compensation valued at $14.4 million in 2010, up about 15% from a year earlier, the appliance maker reported in a securities filing recently. Appears to me that Mr. Fettig is ripping off customers for his own gain, with his boards approval. Shame on all of them -- another example corporate rip offs that are plaguing our nation.

I have owned a Whirlpool Cabrio HE WTW6400SW3 for two years and have had nothing but issues from the start. Control panel was replaced twice under warranty. Also the clothes (socks underwear) were under the tub blocking the drain. This is not covered under the warranty. I was told by the repairman that this is the usual issue. He told me they took the front loader design and just stood it up with no protection from garments and coins getting under the tub, through the under tub filter often and into the drain pump. You are kidding me? Almost $1000 for this washer and its so ill designed. I have read forums that this has been an ongoing issue for several years yet Whirlpool continues to build these. I dont vent to forums often but just now I finished removing the tub to remove 2 socks and 7 cents. Also, I had to remove the drain pump and found another 16 cents inside it. So far the pump has not been ruined but this time water is coming out from the machine so will probably be ordering another pump for it as well. The wife wants it out of the house tomorrow and not another cent spent on it. But it is only two years old. What do you do? If you are reading this because you are searching for a new washer do not purchase a Whirlpool! I have gotten nothing but grief and was put off by their customer service dept as well. I guess after fielding so many calls about the same thing they have been told to just put all the calls off as no big deal. I am sure Whirlpool is making a killing off the sales on this unit. The claims made during the sale convinced me. What a joke. Look around the internet and you will find hundreds if not thousands of the same issues.

Absolute junk. Bought an entire matching set 2 years ago. Fridge, microwave, dishwasher and oven. Oven is the most user unfriendly thing I have ever bought. That’s my fault. Microwave failed. 300 to replace. Ice maker in side by side fridge failed, another 300 dollar fix. I used to have a field mouse or two get into the house every year. Don’t have that problem anymore because the fridge is so loud it scares them off. Talking to Customer service was the most frustrating thing of all. They think if they say your name in a nice soft tone long enough it will make everything ok. Mother and father raved about Whirlpool products. How times have changed. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these products. Also, look up the other brand names made in the same factory and steer clear of those as well. I used to think appliances were all the same. How wrong I was. Do your research. It will save you a bundle in the long run.

We purchased 3 Whirlpool Gold appliances, fridge, range and over-the-range microwave in 4/2011. Since that time, the fridge needed repair, the microwave door had to be replaced and the range had to be repaired. Now the heating element on the microwave went and Whirlpool will not fix the problem. We purchased the extended warranty through Whirlpool and they are saying it is not worth fixing. We paid $470.00 plus tax and install and now all they are giving us is $348.00. Since we have had repeated problems with these appliances, why not just fix the problem or replace the microwave??? What Whirlpool customer service told me was that would be options for us if we did not purchase their extended warranty. Tell me, is that fair? The cost to repair the microwave was $388.00 and they are giving us $348.00 - do you not think for the $40.00 difference, it would be worth to spend it to keep us happy. We will never purchase another Whirlpool product again and will tell everyone we know not to buy their products.

We bought this microwave/hood combo at Home Depot and installed it in our second home roughly 16 months ago. We used it very little over that period because the home is only for vacations. The plastic handle began to disintegrate where it connects to the door (top and bottom) to the point where there is very little plastic remaining. We called the service center and the woman attending to us told us she had never heard of that happening before. Either she had just started working there that day, or she was lying because there are dozens of similar complaints on this very website.I do not understand what is to gain by denying a manufacturing defect. It simply makes no sense to me that a company would allow their reputation be so tarnished. What an ignorant and short-sighted business practice. I will never, ever buy another product from this company. I will also be sure to tell anyone who will listen what I think of the shabby service they gave us.

Repairman said these models had motherboards from Japan & Whirlpool was aware of the many issues, but wouldnt do a recall. 2009, the springs went out, 2011 F codes began to appear. Clothes dont get clean; not enough water. 2014 & 2015 DU & DL codes appear. Now I need a new Lid latch assembly. These washing machines are not worth buying. In 2008 I bought a Whirlpool range from Lowes. About a year ago I began to notice an electrical smell when I would use the oven. I called the repairman in October and he had to replace wires that had melted. The first time using the oven blew a fuse. Repairman came back replaced everything for free and it has worked fine since October. 2 days ago the fuse blew again. When I flipped the breaker in order to use the cooktop there was an arc flash which blew a hole through the back of the panel on the stove where the cord is hooked to the stove and a hole burned in my wall. After reading Whirlpools fan mail I see that there are severe issues with the quality of Whirlpool products. It is a sad day when the names we have come to trust are more concerned with the bottom dollar than with customer satisfaction with their product.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Set from a local store. Just over a year later, the washer got very loud like a jet engine. Called the registered repairman, he came out took a look and said he would get back to me. Called him 3 times over 3 weeks, no show (Hoodland Appliance). Called someone else, repaired it for $400.00. Called Whirlpool, they are not interested. 2 years later now and the machine is getting loud again. This is due to the spin throws water up and it is able to get out of the tub and down into the barring and the soap residue wears the barring out. Bad design. Called Whirlpool again and again they are not interested but can put me in touch with a repairman. I will not repair again but will use until dies and buy something else not related to Whirlpool. So much for energy efficiency.

I purchased this machine in April and already, the right leg is rusted and the under seam of machine is rusted. I have throw rug under it and where the leg is, there is rust on the rug. I called service from Whirlpool and 2 servicemen came out. The first one told me I was loading it wrong and the water was splashing over the inside tub to rust the leg and I asked, So why is the seam under the machine rusted? No answer. The second one came out and told me he could not find anything wrong with the machine and doesnt know why it is rusting, but he never gave me a paper to sign off on. He also said that maybe it was rusted when it was delivered. Not!!! Then I call P.C. Richard in Watchung, NJ where I bought the machine at and told them about the problem. They sent a serviceman out and he said that the bleach condensation is causing the rust, its known fact that this machine has this problem. He said that the water does not run through the dispenser but there is a model that does. I want a credit on this machine and get the upgraded one. It states on the machine that I can use bleach but it doesnt say it will cause rusting. I want you to tell me how a 9-month-old machine is rusted on one leg and the seam underneath is also rusted!!!! I had a machine for 10 years and it wasnt rusted. I am very unhappy with this product and with the customer service of Whirlpool. This is my first Whirlpool washer and I would not recommend this washer to anyone. I paid $600.00 for this washer and it should not be rusting.

I just bought my washer 3 or 4 months ago. It is the worst washer I have ever owned. Anyone that has ever done laundry knows you need water to wash clothes. My clothes are not clean and my whites are very dingy. I use the same soap (Tide) and the same bleach (Clorox) that I have used for years. If I can find someone dumb enough to buy it I will sell it and get a good one. I would rather go back to the old wringer washers than this one.

Purchased the Whirlpool DU915 in 2004. Its been 16 years and I havent made a single repair. A lot of that is just proper use, i.e. scraping off food stuff, using correct soap, etc. I have other newer Whirlpool dishwashers at rental properties which have required repair due to misuse. I would recommend Whirlpool products to friends and family.

Weve been dealing with this all since August 27th 2019 and here its now October 14th 2019. At this point I feel this model of Whirlpool is truly unsafe.

Whirlpool microwave 1163XVS - I purchased a new home and a Whirlpool microwave in May 2010. The microwave has all of a sudden stopped heating! Turns on, spins, counts down, lights up, etc., but will not heat. Found this site by trying on my own to detect a possible reason and Im shocked to see these many complaints of the exact problem. Unbelievable, should be class action suit maybe for continuing to take money from consumers for defective product that Whirlpool knows about and appears to not take responsibility. Ive read enough, not even going to call for repair. Im buying another brand and spending more wisely this time. Thanks for the heads up. Shame on Whirlpool.

We bought this pair, the washer and dryer, not even two months ago. I have not liked it since day 1. My clothes do NOT clean well at all. I had to wash the same load THREE times and still there is dirt on them! Just regular dirt. No oil, grease stains or anything... dirt. I even went and purchased POD detergent to make sure I was using the correct amount of detergent... Came home and washed the load again... DIRTY. Customer service says theyll send out a technician, but if they find nothing wrong, itll cost me... I wish I had read the reviews before I purchase this junk! DO NOT BUY!!!!!

We purchased a 4.8 Cu FT High Efficiency Front Load Washer in February of 2016. What a nightmare. Just a few months after having it, we kept getting an E3 error message that would not go away. After 2 weeks of waiting before a tech could come out there replaced a door mechanism said it would be fine. After the next wash same thing, same problem. Could not even open the door to get my laundry out. Again they could not get a tech out for at least 2 weeks so Im stuck with the cost of getting my laundry done elsewhere. This time it was the motherboard. Had to wait a week for that to be shipped out. This was all completed in June 2016. We are now the beginning of September and same problem. Again we are told at least 1-2 weeks to get a tech out. Seriously Whirlpool, we are your customer. I have a family and we need to wash our clothes. We spent $1200 on this machine only to have to take our laundry to a public laundry mat because your machine keeps breaking down. They will not replace the machine even though this is the 3rd time with the same problem. The customer service is horrible. They are not willing to help in any way to get this fixed much sooner for her or give us a new machine. This one is obviously a lemon! I will never purchase any Whirlpool appliance again and I suggest based on some of the reviews on here no one does. Next appliance I buy I will do more research for sure.

I purchased this washer about a year ago and have been dissatisfied with it
I purchased this washer about a year ago and have been dissatisfied with its performance since Day One. It takes a long time to run a cycle and has not saved me any water or electricity. I always have to add a second rinse because it doesnt get the soap out (using the recommended detergent) with the regular cycles. Sometimes it doesnt get my clothes clean.Today it tore huge holes in the front and back of one of my very favorite T-shirts, which was a very meaningful gift from a very good friend. This was due to its tangling the clothes even more tightly than it usually does; the tangling process was what tore the material. I always take pains to load the machine in the manner instructed, to put the clothes in loose balls around the outside of the drum, but nevertheless it can take me several minutes to untangle my laundry before I put it in the dryer (also a Whirlpool -- just waiting to see how it disappoints). If I had read the reviews here before I selected my new machines, I would never have purchased the Whirlpool washer or dryer. I certainly never will purchase Whirlpool machines again.

Broke again in July. Called for service July 28th. Its now Aug 23rd. Was just told by repair service parts might be in Sept 15th. Had to throw food away twice, missed work 5 times for service calls. Repair company & Whirlpool have done nothing but lie to me. All Whirlpool offered was a $150.00 inconvenience fee. Not even close to what Ive lost. Never even received that & now they wont return calls. Talked to 5 different people at Whirlpool, including supervisors. All said they would call me back, but didnt. Keep leaving messages & they just ignore & dont call back. Still no fridge. Want my money back or a new fridge at this point.

Whirlpool under-counter dishwasher (model DU1345XTVB0) was purchased 14 months ago. Upper rack plastic adjustable wheel rack is broken. Will not replace. Dishwasher has probable design flaw with wheel positions causing overhanging load to put extreme stress on outer two wheels. I purchased all new Whirlpool appliances for my kitchen from Lowes about 5 years ago. The dishwasher was leaking water onto my hardwood floors after about a year. I figured out that the seal was pulling away on the lower left corner. I fixed that myself. It cleaned pretty well for about 3 years. Now its not cleaning at all. I took the lower spray arm off to try to clean it. Almost all of the holes are clogged with debris. (I clean the filter at least once a week.) I went ahead and ordered a new sprayer arm, maybe that will help.As for the rest of the appliances... After about 6 months, the freezer started filling up with water that then froze on the bottom and allowed water to pour onto the floor. The microwave handled broke after about a month. (They did send me a replacement handle.) The knobs on the stove are starting to peel. One of the knobs wont stay on, so I keep it in the drawer next to the stove. Overall, I am very disappointed in all of the appliances. This will be the last time I buy Whirlpool.

I had even called Lowes corporate offices! A repairman is coming out tomorrow (after being told that one could not show up until September!) to check the NEW refrigerator that has frozen all of my produce and soften my frozen foods! I am 12 miles from the nearest town and took over half of my food for the month to the dumpster site today because it was spoiled. If you have a problem and no one has instructions to help you or is listening or even cares.....MAKE NOISE! IT WORKS. I purchase a Cabrio WTW7800XW0 3/28/11. After the year warranty I started to notice sand like substance in the drum of the washer, which lead me to look around the drum. I noticed that the light was completely rusted and flaking, the area around the light was rusted as well. I call customer service at which time they said it was not warrantied, but they sent me out a new light. This did not repair the problem! The rust has continued causing the area around the lid joint to break. Also the area around the bleach dispenser is showing rust- the same side as the light and the lid break. They have said this is not covered and only agreed to pay 1/2 of cost of materials (no service).

It was not mistreated in any way! The problem is in the computer part of the machine.Everyone knows that to have a repair person come out is costly in itself, add to that repairs and parts, and it isnt worth it to fix an appliance most of the time. ECO friendly top load Whirlpool washing machine - I bought this machine September 2013. Now it has a continuous clicking sound. It appears to be the lid locking mechanism and the washing machine will not turn on. It is under warranty and I am finding it hard to get a repair service in my area that is directed to Whirlpool to come and fix it. The only appliance repair in our area states that they will charge for trip and service if they find that is not a defect within the Whirlpool perimeters. I could be charged up to $200 for trip and service which is half of what I paid for. Whirlpool states this is not the case, and I am now having to wait a week to even set up yet another appointment. WTW4950XW2 - I purchased My whirlpool washing machine wtw4950xw2 from best buy in 03/30 2013 and it just stop working after 3 yrs. The manufacture warranty was only good for 1 year. I think companies does that on purpose because they know these new equipments are not going to last. I think before they use to have at least a 3 yr or better warranty on appliances. First it started making this loud sound when on the spin cycle, so I had a repair guy come out. He told me that the bearings needed replaced so (how does bearings goes out in 3 yrs). I asked how much will it be to replace parts/labor. The Parts cost $250 and the labor is $200. I might as well buy a new washing machine. I am so disgusted with this machine. My previous Whirlpool, which was not the new modernized, I had for at least 12 years and also I bought a whirlpool dryer. My Dryer stills works after 15 yrs. Im going to try to hold on to the dryer until the long haul. I wish I just would have gotten my old washing machine fixed. Four months after purchasing an $1,800 stainless French door fridge it began to not cool even though it was running. I called and was on hold for 45 minutes, then transferred to a different service company that could only come 3 days later. They were here a total of 3 times and each time they could not fix it. It would run for a few days or weeks then die again. Each time I lost a few hundred dollars in food. Each time I was on the phone for almost an hour, and each time it was days later before they would come. Whirlpool refused to refund or swap out the unit. I would have been stuck if it were not for Home Depot finally agreeing to exchange it for an LG.I have never been so upset with any companies customer service in my 45 yrs. The only reason that I am writing this is because my Sony 65 TV died the other day. It was 6 months old and I called Sony. I bought the Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher on November of 2014 from Home
I bought the Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher on November of 2014 from Home Depot. The first thing that happened was that it started to leak. I called Whirlpool and someone came out to look at it. It took about a week for them to come. They said it was installed incorrectly and they do not handle installation issues. They left. I took the dishwasher out and reinstalled according to the guide. It still leaked. The dishwasher had to be perfectly level before the leaking stopped. The next issue was that the dishes were not getting clean my dishes. The top rack was the worse. I called Whirlpool again. They came out, took the dishwasher apart and said the part called the diffuser had become dislocated. He placed it back into its proper position and left. This was April of 2015. The dishwasher did an ok job. Some dishes still came out with food on it. By the end of 2015, close to the warranty expiring, the top rack was no longer being washed. I took the dishwasher apart from the inside and found the diffuser was not in the right position again. So every time I want to run the dishwasher I need to take the spray arms out and the racks until I have access to the bottom of the dishwasher to reset the diffuser. Now the warranty was expired, Whirlpool wanted about $150 just to come look at the dishwasher. Sears wanted $59. So I called Sears. Their tech said the dishwasher has a broken motor. For Sears to fix it would be around $400. I called Whirlpool. I felt that the motor was already broken within the warranty period and that the problem finally got diagnosed now. Whirlpool felt this wasnt the case. Their price to fix was also close to $400. Now I need to buy a new dishwasher and throw away a one year old dishwasher. Only this time I will buy the extended warranty. Overall, poor product, poor customer service, and poor warranty coverage.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum W10405142B washer and dryer just over 3 years ago. We decided to go back to the top load as we were having so many issues with odor from our front load. We purchased the set at a Sears store in Timmins Ontario and we’re quite confident that we were getting an excellent product. From day 1 we have had issues with having to rewash our clothes. We have lint and white streaks on the clothes as if we were using powdered detergent and they are all tangled. We have always used HE liquid and at one point I switched to soap nuts to get rid of using chemicals. We have now changed to pods and still have issues. When the washer is spinning it is deafening. You can hear it outside for goodness sakes. It sounds like it is about to take off and fly.The cycles are ridiculously long. For a quick cycle the other day and a very small load it took 72 minutes... how is that quick? When the wash is done my clothes are all tangled up and are stretching things out of shape. I am careful what goes in my washer and how large my load is. I know not to wash sheets or towels when I am not home as they will eventually be unbalanced and have Sat all day in the washer only to have another hour of washing when I get home. We are currently doing some work in our home and pulled out the washer. The floor has a rust circle from God knows what. I will attach a picture. The lid not longer closes. I have to hold it down until it locks and it still pops up a wee bit.I do not understand why I am responsible for purchasing a new set when the product I bought should have lasted and not caused damage to my clothes or my flooring. How do we as consumers make the manufacturers responsible for things like this. If nothing else the appliances should be removed from my home by the Company and I should be reimbursed for damages and the cost of a new set. I will continue to look for my receipt as I keep everything and I am unsure what is meant by order #.

I bought a front loading Whirlpool washer a few years ago after having my old top loading Kenmore for 25 years. It seemed okay, but I did always have to leave the front door open and it always smelled musty, which was of some concern. My clothes never smell totally fresh. The biggest current problem is that several months ago it started with a failure code, alternately would stop without draining, wouldnt fill, or wouldnt drain, and ultimately ended up flooding my basement. So we called for service and they replaced a sensor and said these machines seem to have a lot of service issues with sensors blowing and motors dying. So I paid them that time. Now its a month or two later, failure code again, calling for service one more time. But if it costs too much I will join the legions of dissatisfied Whirlpool customers and will switch to an upright competitors brand.

Whirlpool Clothes Washer Model WTW4930XW1 - We have experienced tub overfilling on (2) separate occasions with this washer model in a period of time of less than (2) years. Through extended warranty service purchased, a technician came out the first time; declared nothing explainable to cause the malfunction, re-calibrated the control panel, and off he went. This second event occurred much the same as the first; happened to walk in to notice water on laundry room floor and witnessed overflow out the lid on top. We have carefully washed additional loads after this second event without a similar malfunction. From my online research, this sure sounds like a faulty pressure switch not sensing high water level in the tub. Any other thoughts?

40-gal gas water heater - I own several rental properties and unfortunately put Whirlpool water heaters in them when the old ones go. It is because they are at Lowes and they are cheap. Today, another call came in from a tenant with no hot water. I called customer service and they determined I received the repair kit from an original design defect from back in the middle 2000s. Now 3 years later, it goes out again. Because I have already received the conversion kit taking thermal couple threading from LH to RH, I needed another part number to repair for a grand total of $160! The same part before the conversion kit was $60. I will never buy another Lowes/Whirlpool water heater for as long as I live. At that point, it was outside of the warranty, so we called upon our extended warranty we bought through Whirlpool. Guess what? That warranty doesnt cover the racks. So they referred us back to Whirlpool. They told us we had to pay for it ourselves. After being treated like a ping pong ball several times, we ended up paying about $150 for labor for another guy to come out and replace the racks again. Whirlpool agreed to pay for the parts. A few months later, we again have a squeaky upper rack that is so loud it wakes people up in our house and its less than two years old at this point. Weve been sold a LEMON!! Just got off the phone with a supervisor at Whirlpool who said they cant do anything about it and wont acknowledge we have a lemon. When I told her I was going to take this as far as I need to to resolve it, even if we have to go to court, she laughed out loud at me. We will never again buy a Whirlpool product. Our LG appliances have been great however.

We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer set 2 years ago (7/22/15) from Lowes and have HATED them since day one. The first wash in the washing machine left clothes dirtier than when they went in. Our clothes have never gotten truly clean. The washer has a HUGE tub which is what I liked about it so I can wash my King sized comforters. What a joke that turned out to be. The comforters only get half wet even on the deep water setting. The machine even left dark stains on my light colored comforter and ruined it. Fast forward to 2 years later and the washing machine stops spinning and fills with water clear up to the top of the tub and wont drain. I had to put the machine on the rinse and spin option to get it to drain. Tried a different setting and it worked for a few months but started doing the same thing. The washer seems to be unbalanced no matter what size load I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I would have never purchased from Whirlpool. The dryer has always worked fine until recently (2 years after purchase). It quit drying the clothes and leaves everything twisted up and wrinkled, even if I take them out of the washer and shake them out before I put them in the dryer. Doesnt matter what setting I put it on, the result is the same. So now it seems as though BOTH of my machines only lasted 2 years. Im not going to bother fixing them, these will be used as target practice. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

I bought a Cabrio Washer and Dryer around January 2015 at Lowes. After going through the worse service imaginable, the washer was like pouring salt in the wound. I like the dryer fine, but months later, Im still unhappy with the washer. While it washes OK, it takes forever to wash a load. Most of the time, it does not spin the clothes out enough. There is no way to just spin again. You have to go through a rinse/spin cycle and you may or may not get lucky with a sufficient spinning. Why cant they just have a spin cycle and why does it have to take so long to wash a simple load of clothes? I have bought many Whirlpool appliances, but this is my last ever.

Sears, Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer and dryer purchased spring of 2013. I thought this would be a good combination to purchase quality appliances that would last for years. NOT! These machines are used by my wife and I only. Washer: Bearings go out. Repair: Replace tub and bearings. Quote: These things arent made to last more than about two or three years. Another quote. Do you notice that your clothes arent getting dry? Yes. Yeah well, you have to use the timed dry setting because the regular setting shuts off as soon as it senses one piece of clothes is dry and leaves the rest of your clothes damp. DO NOT BUY.

We have all kitchen appliances from Whirlpool, but it is not what we choose
We have all kitchen appliances from Whirlpool, but it is not what we choose, that was builders choice. We, two people, are living in his apartment for almost five years, and first problem was with oven - the window in the door it is leaking somewhere, then microwave - the all front door plastic is cracking (we using microwave maybe twice a week) and is it placed under the oven. Now we have problems with fridge - the plastic inside the fringe is cracking. We called Whirlpool customer support and Whirlpool do not even want to hear it about the problems - they just want that same authorized technician will came to your apartment to inspect these problems for $95, it is not even important whose fault it is. This company, Whirlpool really DO NOT CARE about the products, which they produce - as long it is sells... Now we know, we made smart decision - do not accept the washer and dryer (we get it from Bosh - it makes me happy). Now we just wait till all Whirlpools appliances will stop working and never ever look back to Whirlpool.

I purchased the GBS309PVS single oven in Dec. 09 along with a Whirlpool Gold microwave, dishwasher, and stove top. The oven was dented and scratched, so another one was delivered on 1/10/10. I finally decided to use the cleaning cycle in Oct. 10. It burned out the circuit board and something else. It was under warranty and repaired. I was afraid to use it again, but tried it yesterday, 12/27/2011. It smelled horrible, knocked the power out of the oven, and the door will not unlock. Customer service was not very kind and said that I had to purchase a $269 warranty and they would send someone out. I did, unwillingly. Well see what happens on Friday. If this is not resolved, I will go further. This is a faulty part of the manufacturing and should be handled as so.

I bought a new non-frost 14 cubic Whirlpool fridge Model # W4TXNWFWQ in 2013 from PC Richards. The freezer keeps getting busted. It actually produces a lot of frost which stops the entire fridge from running properly. The tech said this is a common problem with Whirlpool. I am lucky to have bought the 3 years warranty. But when I call to fix the problem it always takes them a few days and I have to miss work for this non-sense.

Whirlpool has been an absolute nightmare from day 1. We bought a brand new 50-gallon water heater from Lowes. It did not work. We went back to Lowes and were told to contact whirlpool. We contacted Whirlpool and were told to conduct a number of test and all test passed, so they said we needed a plumber to come look at it. Remind you that this water heater is brand new and has not worked since day 1. They said the plumber would cost $130 and they would pay for parts. Why am I having to pay when my water heater has never worked. Paid the money. Had them come. They replaced a part, did not work, replaced another and it did not work, so the plumber requested a new water heater. Whirlpool refused. What is the point of paying and they are not going to fix it.Whirlpool insisted it was our ventilation even though all test proved that was not the problem. So out of pocket again to fix the ventilation and it did not work. After 2 months of no hot water with a two-year old at home we had someone we know come look at it and fixed the main pipe. Whirlpool took my money and didnt fix my problem. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Whirlpool refrigerator Model #GX5FHDXVY010, freezer on bottom. Ice maker broke within six months of purchase. Made loud noises, would not function to freeze ice. Turned waterline off and now use ice trays like the old days. Shortly thereafter, second unrelated problem started. Drain line started backing up and runs into the bottom of the freezer floor where it freezes into a thin sheet of ice, and then runs onto the kitchen floor. Have had the line cleaned out over and over again. Have been buying fridges for 50 yrs. and have never had this problem. Whirlpool says call a repairman and pay to have it fixed, but it happens over and over again. Whirlpool should come up with a permanent fix and pay to have it fixed. Based on the numerous complaints of this problem, this model needs a recall now.

I bought my new Whirlpool Duet washer in April 2011 and the gas steam dryer
I bought my new Whirlpool Duet washer in April 2011 and the gas steam dryer in May 2011. In October 2011, the washer started to make a loud banging noise when starting the spin cycle. I contacted Whirlpool, and they scheduled a service call and stated that the washer was out of service. I told them it was and that I just bought it in April 2011. They said that the repair guy would need to see the receipt. Well, the A&E Factory service guy came out and said it was the bearings. Whirlpool only replaced the bearings with the whole tube unit and a few other parts. I was never told that all these parts would be mailed to my home, until I got a call from A&E about the tube being on back order. I was told that the part wouldnt be in until November 21, 2011, and it would take another week or more to schedule for a repair guy to come out. I called Whirlpool Executive Office (269-923-5000) and complained about all this. They said thats how it works--they ship everything to the customer and that there was nothing she could do about the back-ordered part. So I called Lowes corporate office and told them what was going on and asked if they could push Whirlpool into fixing my washer faster. About 4 1/2 hours later, I got a call from the assistant store manager; and they said that they would replace my washer with a brand-new one and would have it delivered in 2 days. Now, that was going above and beyond what I thought they would do. Just another reason why Ill continue to be a Lowes customer. Now, here it is, April 2012; and my dryer is leaking water into the drum. On Saturday, I went online and scheduled a service repair for Wednesday, April 25. Today, the 24th, I got a call from VIA that they would be out tomorrow and that I would owe them $120.00 for the service call as my dryer was out of warranty. Here we go once again, having to battle Whirlpool! I really dont give a dang what their dang system tells them about when I bought their product! I know when I bought it. And why did they keep telling me that Im wrong? They did almost to the point of calling me a liar!I called the Executive Office again and had to leave a message. Mark my words, I will never ever buy another Whirlpool product again! I will make sure that I tell everyone who I know at work and at home about the way Whirlpool handles their good customers!

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer from Home Depot. It started making noises on the spin cycle 2 months after the purchase. A technician came out and concluded it was a clothes hanger behind the machine making the noise. False. Two days later I tried to wash a load. All the panel lights came on. And then the machine died. No power. The tech came out and tried to run tests but the machine would not respond correctly. Informed it has a bad control. The machine will malfunction even if a button is pressed too long. And then its repairman time again. This machine is poorly designed. No doubt whoever designed the digital control panel did not think about ease of use. The tech has to recalibrate the controls after every failure. Whirlpool and Maytag have put out a bad product and this will be my last.

Whirlpool model WRF560SMYB04 - We purchased this model Whirlpool in Dec 201
Whirlpool model WRF560SMYB04 - We purchased this model Whirlpool in Dec 2015 after having a refrigerator for 18 years with no problems. We started having cooling issues in late 2017 and finally an intolerable fan noise in April 2018. Researched it and purchased a fan. Opened up the freezer panel and found that the unit was completely frosted up to the point where ice had formed around the freezer fan and was hitting the blades. Contacted a repairman who came out and called in the issue to the Whirlpool tech line. He was told that he should check continuity on a couple of wires. If these checked out, the problem was the user interface board at the top of the refrigerator. We purchased a new board for about $100 and installed same. No change. I was now $250 into repairs and no further. We became aware of Whirlpool Service Pointer W10875533A which described conditions that we were experiencing. The issue was a coil thermistor that would corrode (apparently within 2 years) and would not provide accurate signals. Whirlpool also issued an instruction sheet W10902213 Rev A describing how to relocate the thermistor and protect it with foil and tape. My repairman came out, confirmed the thermistor ($54) was bad, replaced same following the Instruction Sheet. We were now out over $300 on a $1000 refrigerator purchased 2 years earlier.Whirlpool issued the Service Pointer (not to consumers, but to repair shops) in Sept 2016 (within our warranty period). We received no notifications from Whirlpool of the defective design. Nor did we receive a recall notice. Moreover, Whirlpool tech group must have known about this issue, but instructed my repairman to replace the interface board. Whirlpool knows they have a defective product out there but are doing nothing to inform the consumer or stepping up to correct the problem. We have contacted Whirlpool to recover our expenses...will let you all know how that goes. Anybody interested in pursuing a class action?

Bought a home with a Whirlpool WRF540CWBM01 french door refrigerator circa Oct 2016. The unit stopped freezing/cooling and the appliance guy replaced a relay and this did not help. I called Whirlpool to check on the warranty, only 1 year. Then, I called the extended warranty and they wanted $342 for 1 year and $567 for 3 year but wanted 60 days before this would go into effect. Hmm, wait 2 months w/out a working fridge, great idea. So, after 2 short years the compressor failed and nobody will attempt this job and cost is too high. Had to buy a new GE fridge w/ a 5-year parts/labor covering this type of issue. Whirlpool needs to fix these issues. Very disappointed.

I hope this review makes it to the president of Whirlpool! My husband and I built our first home and finally moved into it on April 22, 2017. We saved everywhere we could and I did my best to research my appliances. I was so excited to buy a BIG refrigerator for our family of five, (3 are hungry teenagers!) after years of using a smaller side-by-side. We went with the 31.5-cu ft French door/drawer with dual icemakers, model #WRF993FIFM. The original price was $3,599 but we got it on sale for $2,298 at Home Depot. After only 5 months it stopped cooling! I woke up one morning to find a fridge full of spoiled food!! After waiting 3 weeks I had 2 different repairmen come out and have been told that it is un-repairable due to two parts that are needed, one of which is on back order indefinitely. Ive called Whirlpool numerous times and only get the run around and Im sorry mam we cant do anything else. So Im just supposed to be without my refrigerator until who knows when?! The first 2 weeks of this crap we had to live out of Igloo coolers on our back porch. That meant no buying real groceries, only milk and juice and drinks. Thankfully the awesome people at Home Depot brought us a loaner, which is an apartment size fridge, to use while we wait. So now I just have to walk across the house to my garage every time I need something, and I cant buy much food because it wont fit!! Im so disgusted with how Whirlpool is handling this!!! Not only did we buy our fridge but we also went with Whirlpool for our stove, dishwasher and microwave, and we already owned a newer Whirlpool washer and dryer set. We spent thousands of dollars and cant even get them to exchange this piece of junk! Come on Whirlpool, surely you dont treat all your customers this way!? Do the right thing and let us have a replacement!!!

Whirlpool WRF 990SLAM00 - Im 62, I have owned, and my family has owned a number of refrigerators and never have had any problems. I have been used to my refrigerators and major appliances lasting 15 plus years without any problems. I mostly bought Maytag washers and GE kitchen appliances. I had trouble with a GE dishwasher, out of warranty, but GE was very nice about it and came out and fixed it at no charge, then replaced it for free when it failed again. (No new problems in 4 yrs.). Then I made the big mistake of going with Whirlpool products in my new house in Florida, where I live half the year. What a mistake. First there was the Cabrio washer. After 1 yr and a week, It would not go to the spin cycle. I called Whirlpool, they said, Sorry, out of warranty. I told them, I only live in this place for half the year, so I have hardly used the machine. The Whirlpool person said, Sorry out of warranty. I asked for a supervisor and they were worse than the first person. The attitude was screw you, you should have bought the extended warranty. I called a repairman who fixed it for 150 dollars. During the spin cycle it gets really loud, but at least it works. Then the refrigerator. I arrived back in FL and the 1.5 year old refrigerator was not cooling. I called Whirlpool and said I needed a repairman. They said, Out of warranty, you can buy an extended warranty for 345 dollars. I said, No, a refrigerator should not fail at 1.5 years, send a repair man. He was great, but said the unit had a Freon leak somewhere in the box that was un-repairable. He told me, You need a new refrigerator. I will now call Whirlpool and see what they will do for me, but I expect little based on my experience with the washer, and others comments above. I will go back to all GE products after this as at least they seem to stand behind their products. Oh, and since Whirlpool now owns Maytag, as Whirlpool owns them now. Sad.

I purchased a high dollar built in side by side fridge with custom panels in 4/2005 and had my first service call in 5/2005. Since 2005 we have had 11 service call mostly for defrost failures and over temp. readings. From 2011-11/20/2013 we were issue free then the fridge over temp alarm sounded and we could not hear the fan motor. We had the certified tech come out to evaluate and found that the main control board needed to be replaced. Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool no longer make this item and forwarded us to Core Centric solutions to have a new one built. After speaking with the certified tech who had been out to service our fridge 11 times he informed us that these boards in his experience have never lasted more than a year. We spoke with a customer service rep a Kitchen Aid and asked about a prorated discount on a new built in fridge and she said it seemed reasonable but after checking for authorization informed me I needed to have the board rebuilt at my own cost and that even though this typically takes about 4 weeks to build the fact that our family would be without a fridge is not Kitchen Aids problem. 6/20/2005-over temp/not cooling call (replaced defrost thermostat) 9/2005-over temp/freezer iced over in bottom (freezer decided and drain unclogged) 10/05-over temp/not cooling (replaced fan motor) 9/06-over temp/freezer iced over in bottom (drain line decided, kitchen aid had no advice on how to fix) 10/06-over temp/not cooling, ice build up (whirlpool recommended replace heat kit and bimetal) 11/7-over temp and ice buildup in freezer with leakage (adj to drain pump and defrost drain basin made) 11/07- over temp and freezer icing over (whirlpool sent out a new heater probe) 6/08-over temp and ice buildup (bimetal and foam block replaced) 10/09-over temp, lights and motor shutting on and off (replaced defective board) 10/09- fan making excessive noise (ice buildup found on evaporator fan)11/13-over temp ice buildup in freezer, burning smell from fridge and no air movement or cooling in either compartment (need board rebuilt as on 10/09)Board no longer available from whirlpool, must be custom built at owners expense and will take up to 4 weeks. I purchased my new Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load washer to replace a Maytag that had finally given out in the summer of 2012. I wish I did more due diligence, but with a toddler and a newborn, I needed a washer asap. I severely regret my $800 purchase from Sears. It is now February 2013 and the machine basically only runs on two cycles - Casual and Normal. All the others stop in mid-cycle. Sometimes, the items are still dry or partially wet so I need to switch to another cycle to complete the wash. This is not good for Delicates or when I wash Whites, Heavy Duty or Bulky items which is one of the reasons I purchased the model. The cycle stops when the items are soaked with massive amounts of water. So I then have to turn it to the Drain cycle and start over. After a day of washing one load, I couldve done it the old-fashioned way in my utility basin sink and hung it out to dry ... I dont have the time for this. I am going to make a formal complaint to Whirlpool and to Sears. I cannot keep spending nearly $1,000 for items that break within a year. These companies should be ashamed of their lack of quality. I shouldve gone with the Electrolux and just dealt with the price tag - I wouldve been much happier.

My daughter bought a mobile home manufactured by sunshine mobile home co. in Red Bay al. The home is only 6 mo. old. In that home there is a Whirlpool microwave oven model # WMH2175XVB-1 Serial # TRY 20 23398. After 2 months my daughter microwave stopped working, Whirlpool sent a repair man out to fix it. He didnt have the parts to repair it so he left to order some parts that he thought might be the problem. When the repairman returned two weeks later with the parts, he replaced a door switch. The oven started to work. About 4 days later it quit working again. The repairman returned for the third time, tried repairing the oven and was unable. I had to help him remove the oven so he could take it home with him so he could try to repair it. At that time I was so angry that the Whirlpool co. would send a repair man out three times to repair something that was obviously junk. When I talked to the people at Whirlpool they told me all they were authorized to do was repair it. I explained the repairman has tried three times and couldnt and that they in good faith replace the unit. The answer I received had to come from a mentally challenged person. If this is the response of Whirlpool about their product, then I want no part of them in the future.

I want to make this clear I’d give NO stars if I could!! Whirlpool is totally junk!! I bought a whole suite of Whirlpool kitchen appliances from Home Depot that is a dishwasher, stove, and fridge. The dishwasher never cleaned the dishes, always left a film on everything, cant clean out the drain area, the screens don’t come off and less a year later the dishwasher top rack literally fell off and broke all the glasses that were loaded in it and the fridge keeps freezing all my food!!! I keep having to adjust the thermostat up down up down just to make it doesn’t freeze. Now that the warranty is no good on any of the crap I will no doubt be charged an arm and a leg to get it fixed, which definitely won’t be worth it!!! Whirlpool is such crap!!! Made in America no wonder!!! Don’t buy any whirlpool anything!!! You will be very VERY disappointed!!! I’ve bought plenty of brand new appliances. Bosch is by far the best dishwasher even the cheaper ones. Now I have to pay to dispose the whirlpool crap!!! I am sure whirlpool doesn’t give a crap though!!! We had purchased matching Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer and gas dryer. Both appliances were worthless. Same problems as everyone else. Clothes did not come clean. Had to put it on bulky items just to clean the clothes due to lack of water. Funny how all the older machines that actually put water into the machine cleaned clothes. Went through a motherboard (computer) for both the washer and dryer at $250 each. Washer had repairman out at least 12 times over 3 years. Never again would I purchase a Whirlpool. We went to our local appliance dealer and purchased a Speed Queen. These are like the older ones. THEY WORK! They use the correct amount of water and wash your clothes in half the time. 22 minutes per load! You can open the lid while the water is running in and load your clothes. Gee, what a concept. Only company still making them in Wisconsin, United States. Go Wisconsin! They back their product with a 20 year warranty. What?? Who does that anymore? Companies who stand behind their product. We love our new Speed Queen.

After just 22 months I need to shell out $300 for a new microprocessor. My Miele lasted for nine years. In the olden days washing machines could last for 15-20. Do not buy Whirlpool, from what I understand its a dying company...

My Whirlpool Cabrio has been a real workhorse of a machine. It has been able to take large loads and small loads and get them equally clean and fresh. This was a more expensive model but it was worth the purchase price as I have used the various features provided. I also have appreciated that if you leave clothes on the washer overnight they are still fresh in the morning.

Top loading HE machine. Washer does not clean. I have tried all manufacture recommendations, changed detergents and tried laundry boosters, all to no avail. Tshirts, pants and socks routinely come out of the wash dirty and must be re-washed. This negates any energy savings. Also, the noise from the spin cycle is very loud - the washer is on the second floor but I was told by sales person that this would not be an issue with top loader. Overall, very disappointed and after all these years, I have finally given up on this washer and will junk it.

Cabrio washer 2015 model - The worst washer in 40 years. Everytime I use it
Cabrio washer 2015 model - The worst washer in 40 years. Everytime I use it I ask myself why did you buy this? Sure it conserves the amount of water but I havent noticed a nickel in savings because you have to wash the same load a couple of times. Since the days of cleaning in a stream clothes have been beaten to remove soil. How in gods name was I fooled into thinking this washer would actually clean our clothes. I put a folded tablecloth in it and when I emptied it the tablecloth was still folded. IF YOU NEED A CLOTHES WASHER TO ACTUALLY CLEAN CLOTHES, DONT BUY THE KIND WITHOUT AN AGITATOR.
