We have had a Whirlpool hot water heater for 6 years and 14 days. Note the 14 days. It has been nothing but trouble and we have called the company repeatedly for help. It finally stopped working altogether 14 days after the warranty ran out. Thank you Whirlpool for nothing! It had a filter on the bottom of the heater that constantly had to be cleaned which was next to impossible. We had to buy a special brush to try to reach it. My husband had to take it apart several times a year and clean it to keep it running. Whirlpool should have replaced it within the first year but instead offered many suggestions about cleaning and etc. so they would not have to replace. Today it is out of my house for good and I would advise anyone reading this to beware! Horrible product!!!

Purchased this set in January of this year 2016. The loudness of this machine struck me first along with the constant banging of the pipes in the basement when filling with warm water. The agitator is very loud. Thought I was trading up from a 10 year old Whirlpool front loader set. There is hardly any water in the washer when running a full load. I take clothes out that are not only a twisted tight mess but in some spots are not even wet!!! The dark clothes inevitably need to be rewashed because there is white residue on them!!! I have used the pods and liquid and it doesnt seem to matter, happens with both. Customer service has no answers and say theyve never heard this before.How can this washer wash clothes when there is no water and little if any movement of clothes??? And how is it that we are all saying the same exact things and Whirlpool is not being held accountable??? I DONATED my working fine set to a dog rescue and am now stuck with a brand new machine that works PERFECTLY HORRIBLY. So who is watching you Whirlpool???

I have no problem with Conns. My complaint is with Whirlpool for making such a terrible machine with the Cabrio Washer. Its a piece of junk.Fortunately, I bought the extended warranty – which was used many times to replace computer modules and pumps. Now that the warranty is out, once again the machine is doing the same thing. Bad codes, not filling, etc... Some cycles you cant use it at all. The cleaning cycle is never ended (literally). I am debating on having it fixed or just getting another machine.

We bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher with a kitchen reno. It cost over $1000. One month out of warranty the pump died. As this is apparently a common thing with these dishwashers the company sent a new pump, free of charge, but we still had to pay $150 for the install. Now, less than 2 years after purchase, the dishwasher refuses to drain. I wrote to the company, they are not interested. Dont buy Whirlpool, you are only throwing money away.

We have all Whirlpool Appliances throughout our entire house. Our refrigerator fan went out and we had someone come out to look at it. We called to get a parts concession as we were a few months out of warranty. We didnt ask for 100% discount, but SOMETHING considering weve put so much money into our whirlpool appliances. They simply said, We can give you nothing. Long story short, we will not purchase whirlpool appliances ever again. Dont do it, they take your money and run!

I have spent 30 minutes trying to change light bulb under the oven and get the cover plate back on. I watched the film on how to do it, it was amusing to watch the struggle to get it on. It was amusing to say the least. Whirlpool watching it??? I do not believe whoever designed this worthless time consuming light cover never tested it one time, or it would had been more user friendly. It amazes me what kind of trash they can build for us consumers to have to deal with at times. Tomorrow this overhead piece of junk is coming out and being replaced by a non Whirlpool one. I am going to get a tractor and smash it into little pieces and put on side of street with a note saying this is what happens when you try for an hour to change the bulb.

Ice maker has stopped making ice on several occasions. Also when you try to get ice out of the door dispenser, it will continues to release ice but will not go down the chute and when you open refrigerator door it spills out all over the place. Getting ice other than from the door is no easy task. I have taken to putting a bowl under the ice dispenser. Interior of refrigerator is not user friendly for positioning items. Bought in a hurry back in 2017 and have regretted it ever since.

We live in Hawaii, so the price for our stacking closet size unit was exorbitant. It was over $1,000.00. It is small so the size of loads are small too. We bought one that is supposed to sense the load size and deliver the correct amount of water. It does NOT do this. Reviews online show complaints of this same nature. It does clean well but we have to do very small loads to get that.

We purchased the pair a year ago and its been nothing but headaches. First of all, half the clothes dont even get wet. They say its high efficiency but I dont think theres any efficiency when it doesnt even wash them. Second, when it actually does wash them, it leaves detergent all over the clothes. Imagine your black dress pants with white bleach like streaks all over them. We called because we were under warranty and a repair man came out. Totally useless. He said because its high efficiency, its supposed to do that. Not clean my clothes?? Why would I have purchased a WASHING machine that doesnt clean clothes?? Is there some other use for it Im unaware of?? He told us to try using deep water setting and extra rinse. So now we can wash 3 pair of socks at a time instead of one. Yippee.Do NOT BUY THIS CABRIO WASHER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Youd be better off with a plastic bucket from the dollar store. If you get it as a gift, the person who bought it for you may secretly hate you. I wish wed had the benefit of these reviews. Now were out $1500. Will NEVER, EVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN. Not only does it not work, they refuse to recall it or refund it. Off to the laundromat to WASH my clothes.

I love my Whirlpool LP Gas Range. Cooks great and bakes wonderful stuff. Also has a drawer under to hold pots and pans. Self Cleaning Oven. I do a lot of baking and I cook three meals a day. The burners are easy to clean off on top. I try and wipe spills up in the oven as much as possible, It has everything on it that I love, except it could have a plug in which would really nice.

We have had this water heater for less than 5 years. It was purchased new from Lowe’s. This is the second time we have had to replace the thermocouple and are told that we have to order the part from Whirlpool. Really? What do we do for hot water in the meantime? This is a very disappointing response from Whirlpool and Lowe’s. I will never again purchase anything from either company. We had to buy a new heater today, pay for installation and permits. This is a rip-off by Whirlpool and Lowe’s.

I have a home that was new 5 years ago. My microwave/oven Whirlpool Gold was built in March 2005. The light bulb went out in the microwave 3 days ago. The users guide that comes with the unit says for this call assistance. I called the local appliance co. Cost to replace the bulb is $10 parts, $65 service call $25 labor thats $100 plus tax for a $.10 bulb! I called Whirlpool. What a joke, the biggest bunch of puppets paid by a Michigan based company who never heard of what happened in Detroit! They were no help and understood my frustration but flat did not give a **! For a $.10 part Whirlpool is willing to get bad press worth whatever I can amass!

My 1 year old Whirlpool top loader is an absolute nightmare. It does not complete cycles. Stops all the time with various error codes. My washing comes out soaking wet. The pipes on the inside comes loose and floods the house. The machine stops all the time with all the washing clogged on one side of the drum. It is a 16 kg capacity machine but you cannot even think of putting 8 kg laundry in there. I will never, ever buy any Whirlpool product again. Cheap scrap! Thats what it is.

I purchase a Cabrio WTW7800XW0 3/28/11. After the year warranty I started to notice sand like substance in the drum of the washer, which lead me to look around the drum. I noticed that the light was completely rusted and flaking, the area around the light was rusted as well. I call customer service at which time they said it was not warrantied, but they sent me out a new light. This did not repair the problem! The rust has continued causing the area around the lid joint to break. Also the area around the bleach dispenser is showing rust- the same side as the light and the lid break. They have said this is not covered and only agreed to pay 1/2 of cost of materials (no service).

I bought a range on 2/11/11. On 2/14/12, I cleaned the oven for the first time at high temperature and noticed burned grease marks which appeared at the inside of the glass in front of the oven. I called for service and the repairman took apart the door and cleaned it. He said it would probably happen again. There was a leakage somewhere and he couldnt repair it. I think it is a quality control problem at the manufacturing levels.

We built 8 years ago, with ALL new appliances...All Whirlpool Gold...been very unsatisfied with ALL appliances... Had to replace range and parts for refrigerator..And extendend warranties all nonusable..We live NM off a tarred county road by 1/4 mile...no one wants to even come and look. Not good.

I purchased my water heater at Lowes and had it installed professionally. I suspected something was not quite right on numerous occasions because the hot water recovery time seemed excessive. I finally called Whirlpool and they gave me the names and numbers of two companies that were on their list. The first asked for the model number and normal information and never called back. The second showed up spent five minutes charged me 78 dollars and said they could not get the part (gas valve) I needed. And if I could get it from Whirlpool they would charge me 250 to put it on. They also said Whirlpool made horrible water heaters and I should save myself the trouble and just replace it. I have since heard from additional plumbers and the gas company to stay away from Whirlpool. I did have the water heater replaced. When they did it and they drained the old water heater it had so much sludge in it draining it was very difficult. The sludge is mystery since I have a softener in my home and it should have prevented that. The individual from that gas company said that was just one of the many issue others had experienced with these heaters.

I purchased this washer from Lowes 5 months ago. I did not purchase a store warranty. Started having problems 60 days later. I have to deal with a Whirlpool rep. The company is 150 miles away. They have been to my home 3 times to resolve the issue. They replaced an air trap. The problem... my clothes still wont spin dry!!!

Bought this from Lowes in 2010 with the 12 yr extended warranty. Have not been able to keep it lit. Takes 4-10 days for repairman just to LOOK AT IT and then he usually has to order a new control valve, taking another 2-4 days (have had the control valve replace 3xs). This means, my husband has to get down at eye level to try to get it to light (hes 63) & if it doesnt light on the 40th try or the cramp in his hand stops him sooner, we have to heat water on the stove, carry it through the house to the bathtub, try to get the temp not too hot or too cool, then hope that our 70 yr old bodies can get down into the tub plus get back out without falling (showers are preferable). My husband bought The best hot water heater $ could buy at our local Lowes store. Because we are getting up there in years, we hoped that this would be the best answer by also getting the extended warranty. They have had numerous repairmen out to our house (6 or 7 last count)... two different men told my husband that they would only be here a couple of minutes knowing it was not going to light for them either. Time wasted. Patience gone. Still they wont replace it because if anyone can get it to light up again, no matter how long that may take, then theres no need to replace it! They have already put more money into parts, labor & repairs than it originally cost. I was told today by the ex. warranty representative that its not considered a lemon! So how do those LOWES/WHIRLPOOL people sleep at night????

On April 17th mid morning I noticed that the freezer side was not keeping items Frozen. Everything was melting period. I then opened up the refrigerator side all the items are not as cool as they should be. I then proceeded to do a Google search to see what I should check for in regards to the freezer and the refrigerator side not keeping cool. I then proceeded to pull the refrigerator out to inspect the back of the refrigerator. When I did that I noticed there was a hot mark on my wall, as well as a huge it burn mark on my floor. I then unplug to the refrigerator do the huge fire hazard and I touched my floor and it was very hot to the touch.I called my stepfather who is a firefighter and had him come over right away. He said we needed to take the refrigerator outside right away because the compressor had overheated and that is why it started to burn my floor. He then went to the fire station and got a heat sensor check machine, and we checked my wall and floor and we had to make sure that it was cooling down so it did not start my floor boards on fire so then we had to put a fan on it to cool it down. I then went and purchased a new refrigerator, due to this one was no longer able to be used or repaired. The refrigerator was only four years and 5 months old. For a $1,300 refrigerator it should last longer than 4 years.I called Whirlpool the following day or two days later and regards to this issue. The only thing they could tell me is that they were sorry, this refrigerator almost started my home on fire and we have six children a family of 8. It ruined my floor and part of my wall in my kitchen and we have lost a few hundred dollars and groceries. This is ridiculous and not the first time, I read a few others having this issue, Whirlpool said they have never received any complaints in regards to the refrigerator burning the floor and does not see it as a fire hazard at all.

I bought a new Whirlpool gas hot water 40 gal tank from Lowes. I Installed it, but the pilot light would not light. So Cal Gas Co came out and said they did not like the new design, but that was how they were now making them. Gas is shot out from a pipe into the tank, however its fairly open. The pilot ignitor is similar to the one on barbarques that often do not last. You cannot get to it to light it manually. Several calls were made to Whirlpool and they sent a repair man out to fix it. You can imagine buying a new hot water heater and having it work part time. The repair man explained that the unit needed a new thermopile, but he could not put one on until whirlpool authorized it, which they would not. After a rather heated conversation with whirlpool they agreed to FedEx a part overnight. Of course the repairman could not wait for me to call and had to come back again. The pilot light still does not stay lit, and Whirlpool now wants to talk about how the tank is vented. This has nothing to do with the pilot light, nor did putting in a new 1/2 gas line and valve as per Whirlpools request. Whirlpool has a problem and they refuse to acknowledge it. However, it is Lowes that chose to buy from whirlpool and they do little if anything to stand behind their product and gain consumer confidence. My suggestion would be dont buy whirlpool, and shop at Home Depot.

The Whirlpool duet model wfw9150ww01 washing machine is a piece junk. After using it for two years, the bearing has gone out on it and it sounds like a freight train. It will cost $600 to repair it. We only paid $575 for it. What a rip off. Whirlpool makes junk only. Buy something else.

Bought top of the line KitchenAid refrigerator $4500... Completely stopped working in 3 months. Cannot get ahold of anyone at Whirlpool & their phone system is ineffective. Appliance technician came out, cannot get the parts he needs from Whirlpool!?! He said that if he cant get parts in 21 business days then Whirlpool may consider replacing the fridge. Is this a joke?!!! I have a 1970s Frigidaire still working!

Just cleaning the outside of our piece of ** oven. Must have hit either the on or off button to lock because the damn thing locked. Tried unplugging it, pushing all the buttons suggested on these websites, etc. Hell, even tried to call Whirlpool, where I just talked to a computer. Lesson learned: Whirlpool wont get our business again. Period.

I bought a Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer in September 2013 and washer is already broken. It leaks out the front of the front loading door (yes, I clean it as advised, including leaving door open to air dry etc). I am a retired senior citizen and my wife and I spend 6 months of the year in Florida so the washer has barely been used since we are barely home and its not like we are trying to wash load after load of heavily soiled items daily. I would not recommend this product at all!! The repair people said it would cost approximately $300 to fix and offered a plan to fix it for $350 with a 1 year warranty. Why should I bother to do either if I will have to do same after 1 year? This machine is barely used and broke?! The customer service people were not helpful and seemed only interested selling me the repair plan to fix what should not need fixing. So, to recap - I bought the machine in 9/13 then went to Florida from 10/13 to 4/14 (so it was used 1 month). Then, it was used from 4/14 until 10/14 (6 months). I returned from Florida this year in April 2015 and it started leaking in June 2015 (2 months). So, my machine has been used for a grand total of 9 months and it is already broken!!! Stay far away. Whirlpool should come and replace this machine for us for free if they care anything about customer service and senior citizens but clearly they do not. In Florida we have an old Sears Kenmore machine that has lasted for over 20 years!!

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine: The washer was purchased in March of 2012 and malfunctioned in December 2014. After phoning Whirlpool, the machine was scheduled for repair with a factory-authorized company. The first repair attempt was unsuccessful due to a lack of parts. It took 10 days for the parts to arrive, and another unsuccessful repair attempt was made. The verdict is that a new motor control board, costing $350 plus labor, is necessary. With the delay in service and cost of repairs, I may as well buy a new machine.

My Whirlpool microwave fits nicely over the stove/oven. It is easy to clean and comes with a glass turning table. It also comes with a wire rack if you choose to use it or it is easy to remove. I have had this microwave for 12 years and never had a problem. Love the presets on it for example ‘“popcorn.”

Cabrio Washing Machine - I purchased my washer and dryer in May of 2008. I had problems with sheets, towels and pants getting very twisted and tangled, but I just attributed that to a design flaw. My problems really began in January 2013 when loads were not level all the time. It didnt matter if it were 1 shirt or a load of towels; you had to stand by the machine and it took forever to finish a cycle.On 1/11/13, the first repair was the rods that kept the drum stable. $260.82 later, it worked again. On 2/16/13, the washer quit working. On 2/18/13, the repairman was back out. It needed a lid lock switch. It was $87.14 that time and he would be back when the part arrives ... There was still no washing machine. On 2/21/13, he returned with the lid switch and replaced it. That was $178.04 but wait, there were still other error codes so there was no working machine.I refuse to pay anymore as I now fear I will be buying a new machine after spending over $500 in less than 6 weeks, but Whirlpool did the right thing when I called and they agreed to repair the machine. They wanted a different company to come diagnose the problem (the machine gave an F50 and F51 error code to the repairman here on the 21st), so I have to wait for another repairman to come and look at the same codes flashing on the LED readout.On 3/1/13, the A&E repairman that Whirlpool sent out arrived at my house. I have been without a washer since the 16th of February. He diagnosed the problem and said that it is a $1,000 repair! I called Whirlpool and asked for a new machine, instead of throwing more money at this one. They informed me that if I didnt like their offer, they wont do anything then. I agreed to the repair.Parts started arriving at my house. On 3/13/13, another A&E repairman came out and started to fix the machine. He informed me that there was more wrong than the first guy thought, but he had the circuit boards so he would get it going. On 3/24/13, the washer quit working again and was flashing an F51 error code. This is the biggest piece of junk I have owned in my life. I have missed 5 half days of work since January and there is no end in sight. Why is Whirlpool allowed to get away with such an inferior machine?

Purchased my Whirlpool Duet front load washer WFW9150WW00 new in 2010. Also purchased extended warranty. After four years, just before my extended warranty was up, the entire inside needed replacing (drums, bearings). Now at only five years old, it keeps making a beeping noise in middle of wash cycle and wont continue working. Serviceman was told by a Whirlpool tech. that it could be two things, one being the door jamb, the other being the control panel. Door jamb was fine. Ordered new control panel ($240), had it installed and yet the washing machine still keeps beeping and doing the same thing. The serviceman doesnt know what else it could be. So, I am forced to return the part and purchase a new washing machine. I would never recommend Whirlpool to anyone!

Love the bottom freezer & french doors. Unit uses way less energy than older fridge. Did need a new evaporator but it was covered by a recall. Happy so far. Love having icemaker in the door so it doesnt take up freezer space.

Compared to others it gets the dishes clean and is easy enough to operate. Like everything else it has more bells and whistles than I want or use. Fill it up, put soap in and punch the desired settings and it does what it is programmed to do. Overall size seems to be like all the other models Ive used. Stainless with buttons on top of door. The top basket/drawer has latches that get tripped allowing the basket to drop down and confusing my wife. Not the best arrangement IMHO. Seems like the spacing of the supports in the bottom basket are off, but that may be due to our plates and bowls shapes.

Thermal couple went out and nobody has one. You have to get it from whirlpool. This could be a easy fix with buying a $6.00 thermal couple but the one on mine has left handed threads. I took it to several parts places and they all said you have to buy it from whirlpool so you have to call the 1 800 number and they ask you how soon do you want it, 5 to 6 days to take a shower for $10 shipping, or $20 for 3 to 4 days without a shower or $32 for overnight? This ** should be free if they are the only ones that have it. I never heard of this crap before. The funny thing is they told me I should replace my water heater since the warranty is expired. Dont worry I will buy a new one someday and it will be anything but a whirlpool. I will never buy anything whirlpool again and make sure my family never buys whirlpool.

In 2015 door of top loading washer (Whirlpool Cabrio Washer) needed total replacement. Lucky I had an extended warranty. 2018 March, extended warranty expired and now have the exact same problem. Pretty crummy product if major part like a door has to be replaced every 3-4 years. We do not wash large items like blankets/quilts in this machine. That goes to a laundromat where there are oversized machines or to a dry cleaner. So the only reason for this breakage is a default in the lid assembly. There is only one phone number for customer service, repair, parts etc. Put in my service call and filed a complaint at same time hoping for at least a small discount. Ha! $100 plus tax for service call- part price ranges from $150-230 plus tax. Whirlpool could tell me the part exists but would not say how long it takes to get it! Do NOT buy Whirlpool washer with top load lid that has glass window. Big problem is that Whirlpool now has Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Maytag and Amana all under their umbrella.

I bought Whirlpool front load washer at Sears in June 27, 2012... (serial W104408696A) (W10409178A-SP). I had 6 episodes within a 1-year time that my clothes got burn holes and the inside of the washer. I would find a handful of gray powder after doing my laundry. The first time it happened, I thought that I left something inside my clothes that resulted to it, but I did nothing to contribute to the event. The second time it happened, I thought Im putting the wrong setting, so I chose another setting to wash my clothes. In that span of 1 year it was on and off happening. I read different reviews on this washer, and I am not the only one whos had this problem. Finally in 2013, before my warranty would expire, I requested for Whirlpool to fix the problem. Right away the tech told me that the problem was the glass covering, so they replaced it. Now my washer would not drain. I believe that this product does not belong in the market. If they knew what the problem was, they should have recalled it. I kept the sample of that gray powder.

When our home burned down, had to get a manufactured home. Orig. refrigerator size was 32 cu.ft. This one that came w/ the house is a lot smaller. Weve has issues with ice dispenser several times in the 18 months weve been here. But I would recommend this size.

We purchased a Whirlpool gas range for $600 in Aug 2015.. On May 2015 the range had an internal board failure (F2E0) and the panel does not control the oven or other features. We found out the part ranged from $350-$400!! Plus service installation! The one year warranty of course ran out but I think this is an outrage to sell an appliance that has such a poor electronic part. I have read a few similar complaints as this is also a Frigidaire model as well.

French Door model WRF989SEAE01 - Fridge runs very loud after 3 weeks. Ice build up inside of fridge - back left. After numerous repairs, dealer replaced unit with new. Three weeks, loud noise again. After 7 months, the ice maker has quit, the freezer is thawing items, the fridge part is not cold enough (all settings have been boosted). Now Im concerned it is going to completely fail or burn our new house down. All new Whirlpool appliances in new home and this thing is proving to be extremely unreliable. Dealer is now out of loop (gave up) and told us to deal directly with Whirlpool. After 2 units and same issues, it has to be a design flaw.Can anyone start to move on a class action lawsuit or do I wait until it blows up or burns down the house? We are of retirement age, no kids, and our appliances have had NO ABUSE. Another acquaintance has same fridge about 2 years old and it has completely quit.

2 years ago, we remodeled our kitchen. We replaced with all Whirlpool appliances. WHAT A MISTAKE! Our ice maker went crazy 1 month ago and now our dishwasher almost caught fire Memorial Day weekend while we were away! Thermal Fuse and stainless interior prevented us from losing our house to fire but really Whirlpool, you spend that kind of money and all appliances are breaking before theyre even 3 yrs old! My husband is very good at fixing things but when he diagnosed dishwasher, he said he has to find a way to fix wires in control panel because melted insulation. Now I am afraid of it. So if you purchase Whirlpool, expect maybe 2.5 to 3 yrs service and think of them like a disposable lighter, use it and throw away.

We purchased this large 4 door refrigerator in December 2018, from Costco in Florida, having in mind with the 2 years Manufacturing warranties and 2 years of Costco warranties above the manufacturing warranties. We didnt expect any problems for the initial 4 years. Up on delivery some parts of the unit was missing, delivery guys said they will make a report for the missing left drawers and the parts. We did not have any manuals how to setup and use. After we called the customer service they send us the operating manual.We encounter several other problems with this unit and the most recent one to our surprise the warning light to change the water filter was on. We hardly using the water from the fridge because of the having monthly spring water delivery service. We called customer service and after explanation of our concern and following their instruction the light was on. Finally we were told that whether or not using the water filter has to be changed every 6 months and send us the additional service warranty contract which is $411.95 for 3 years. We still have 3 years 4 months remaining from our original warranty.

I stumbled across this page on another mission and had to stop to add my exp. Perhaps I got lucky and got a good set but Im on my 3rd year and my washer and dryer are my friends. I dont have hot water connected to my washer and my husband is a shingle roofer so I often have to wash his clothes twice but my dogs beds come out beautiful and the sanitizer on the dryer removes odors very well. My water bill went down, I can wash my rugs and large comforters at home now. Plus they are so pretty. Im sorry you are all having so much trouble but I love mine sooo much I just had to stop a moment to throw in a little positive.

Off balance, wont wash correctly. Familiar stories online. Wasted money on a washer that is not very old. Wont buy another one ever again.

We purchased our oven from Sears, and less than two years later, the oven would not cook a chicken. We do not use the oven very often. We grill out and use the top burners often. We had the oven repaired through our home warranty program, and now 8 months later, it seems to be occurring again.

November 4, 2017 we purchased a 2018 Tiffin RV with a Whirlpool 3-door refrigerator/freezer. We did not use the RV refrigerator until our first trip to Florida January 2018. Immediate problems with the freezer icing up on freezer door and icing up in the top 2 shelves of refrigerator. Milk, fruit, even cheese froze in the top of the refrigerator. Bottom freezer door froze so bad I had to yank on the drawer very hard to even get it open & chunks of ice would fall off the door on the floor outside once it opened. Called Whirlpool warranty service phone number two times 2/16/2018. I wont go into all the details but we were on hold for a 90 minutes and were transferred 7 times by the automated system. Talked to one person, Lindsey, who immediately transferred me again to RV Dept. No one ever answered. System kept saying, Please wait. Then just disconnected and another recording came on saying to call back. We did not after this fiasco! February 19, 2018 we called Tiffin MH & told them about the NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from Whirlpool. They told us to call Sears in Sebring, FL. We did. If we wanted Whirlpool service to bring the motorhome to them & the warranty only covered parts NOT labor or service calls. They did not want to work on it. March 13, 2018 We went to Tiffin MH Service in Red Bay, AL. Earl called Whirlpool tech, Steve, & tried to explain the problem. Steve told him he did not talk on speaker phone & told him very hatefully to put him on the private line. Steve just very angrily insisting that Earl had him on speaker phone. I do not understand Whirlpools Steve issue with being on speaker phone? Finally Earl got him to listen to our refrigerator problems as he stood there at the refrigerator going through each issue step-by-step. Steve said to put silicon in the seal & that Whirlpool WOULD NOT replace a 3 month old refrigerator that actually had only been used 2 months. We found out later Tiffin is going to replace the refrigerator.

I am very disappointed with the purchase of a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer I made about 3-4 years. The price was too high and the quality is extremely poor. It has a leak in the pump which will cost me $300.00 to fix. I probably would have been better off buying the cheapest washer and dryer set they had. At least, those actually wash the clothes and dont breakdown. Never again will I buy a Whirlpool and I will get every chance to share my opinion of them.

Apparently, Whirlpool selling all their rejected faulty washing machine in the market. The trick they are playing is the machine being sold with one year parts-labor warranty; They wont replace these machines with a new one because they know that these machine will never work, consumer will buy the faulty machine, obviously it wont work so consumer will call for service. The service guy will say that “oh! Machine needs a part and then the customer service will say “the part is being ordered”, “wait”, then the service guy will come with the part and after wasting some time he will say “Oh! The machine needs another part, and again customer service will tell the consumer that “you keep calling us”. One year will be gone! Bottom line – faulty machine is sold, Whirlpool made profit, buyer is robbed. I am one unfortunate customer who purchased Whirlpool Washing Machine which never worked as it is a faulty machine which should not go to the market at all; Whirlpool made money on my hard-earned dollars and I been robbed.

I purchased a front loading Whirlpool washing machine March 2017. I have need to have the drain pump replaced and the motherboard replaced. Each repair took 30 to 45 days to get parts and service. I would not recommend the washing machine.

In the last year, I have had to put in two sets of parts to my Whirlpool water heater (thermocouple) within three months in between each malfunction. Now the hot water is out again, and I need to have a plumber come and reapply new parts to the hot water heater. Whirlpool is refusing to send new parts to the less than a year old hot water heater until they speak with my plumber. It was purchased in December 2011. I am a disabled senior citizen, and we have not had hot water in over a week. Meanwhile, the weather is in the teens and has been snowing. I live alone and have not been able to wash dishes, take showers or mop my floor. Being a diabetic, cleanliness is very important to maintain good health. Living on Social Security, I cannot afford to replace my water heater parts every few months and my health cannot afford to not have hot water. A few weeks after we bought it, the washer was already having issues spinning out, and the clothes would have to go through another rinse and spin cycle. A bout a year and a half in and I had to replace the pump because it stopped draining. Even carefully loading the machine, and at least two or three times a week it would not spin out. Two weeks ago it stopped agitating actually performing washing action and spinning out all together. Last night I replaced the actuator which controls the speed or lack thereof in the spin. Still nothing. Ive reset it multiple times, still nothing. At least the clothes are getting wet. At tax return time I am replacing this piece if garbage and I will never get another whirlpool, or Maytag washer again because from what I have been told by dealers and repair men; they are all garbage.

Whirlpool Gold (Model No. GX5FHDXVY04), expensive French-Door style refrigerator , with bottom freezer pull-out drawer, purchased in 2010, has drain line that repeatedly blocks, causing frozen sheet of water on bottom of freezer and consequent leaking of water onto wood flooring (ruining said flooring). To add insult to injury, 5-year extended repair warranty I purchased specifically EXCLUDES drain lines, leading me to believe that this is a well-known problem that is costly to repair which is true because the drain line and pan on this particular model is nigh impossible to access without upending the unit (two people required) and accessing the bottom panel of the unit. This appears to me to be a design defect that Whirlpool should correct -- at its expense, not mine. I am currently reviewing possible courses of action, to include, but not limited to, BBB complaint and litigation.

Whirlpool duet - This washing machine is absolutely horrible!!! I pull clothes out and they are tore up! We have replaced parts that we were told could be causing the damage and its the same thing! I am very unhappy! Ill be calling Whirlpool again but Ill probably get the same runaround - oh we are very sorry we dont have any known issues with that machine. I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine a couple years ago at Lowes. It sucks. First of all, my washer stinks all the time. It smells like sewer even after the cleaning cycle. My dark clothes come out with a white residue, and my whites come out with dirt on them that wasnt on them before washing... All this even after running an additional rinse cycle. How is this energy efficient? Not to mention, time efficient??? Crazy that once you buy something like this for this amount of money youre pretty much stuck with it... I purchased a WhirlPool dishwasher in 2016. The primary motor had to be replaced in 2018. WP paid for the part; however, I had to cover the labor, which was expensive. In 2019 the drying element broke. Again, WP will replace the part but leave me to cover the labor. Ive decided to purchase a new dishwasher (none of the Whirlpool brands) with a 5 year warranty. I purchased a Whirlpool Flame Lock gas water heater with a 12 year warranty from Lowes in November 2011. It lasted almost 6 years. Called Whirlpool Support and no one in my area is a certified repair facility. Closest one is 45 miles away, and he wont drive up to check out my water heater because Im too far away. Called someone in town. He came out, looked at it for 2 minutes, and said he never saw a water heater like this, but Sears may carry parts. Charged me $50 for service call. Sears couldnt find the model number in their parts catalogs. I dont have a manometer (What is it?) so I cant do diagnostic tests on it myself. Cant find out anything about them online except complaints from other steamed customers about this crappy product. Whirlpool Support wouldnt do anything else for me except say they were sorry I got stuck with a bad product of theirs. It was made for Whirlpool by US Craftmaster Water Heaters Co.

Whirlpool oven WOD93ECOA501 - This oven will most likely lock up if you use the clean cycle. I wish there was a class action suit in California. This happened first time I used the oven. Very expensive to fix, and though it was 9 months after a kitchen remodel, it was not under warranty because we bought it early and it sat in garage, and Whirlpool could only use purchase date. This is not new technology. Upper and lower oven both locked. Wish I had bought a Blue Star oven, as my Blue Star cook top is fantastic and a pleasure to use. HAS ANYONE GONE TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT?

Model no. WTW4950XW is a piece of pure junk. Bought this machine 2yrs, 4 months ago. I just replaced it and to be sure not with another Whirlpool. The machine went out. Just quit. Nothing on control panel (computer). Didnt call for service tech as this machine has been crap since I bought it. Tried to return it but couldnt after I first used it. It would only give hot water on 2 cycles and that was on bulk or delicate. The regular cycle would only give warm but actually it was cold. Not enough water for 6 pieces of small clothes on regular. More water on delicate. Didnt wash very well. Clothes were not really as clean as they should have been. I used to only buy Whirlpool appliances but have now switched. They are bilking the consumer with subpar machines.

We purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator from a local appliance store in December, 2018. We immediately noticed a loud humming noise coming from the refrigerator when the motor is running, which is a lot. We can hear it from our bedroom on the other side of the house. The store replaced the motor and the fan, but the constant irritating humming continues. The store called Whirlpool for advice, and were told that side by side refrigerators are louder. They also said that since it is working there is nothing they can do. We had a Kenmore side by side in the very same spot for over eight years. Never noticed when it was running. We purchased our brand new home ten years ago and we were thrilled it had a double wall oven unit that I had always dreamed of owning. Well, the first time I used the self-cleaning mode that dream became a nightmare! The oven was in cleaning mode and I was so happy as I had never had a self-cleaner before! When the cleaning was done, the door remained locked and the control panel was not working. After making sure it was cooled the next day, I called for warranty repair. They came out and fixed it and apologized for the inconvenience. I was thinking it was just a glitch and went on with life. Due to my husband’s business, we only live in the house part time as we do extensive traveling. My children are grown, so my cooking is mainly holidays and birthdays when we all get together. Since it is used so seldom, the need to clean is not as often as others might be. The next two times I cleaned it the same thing happened. The third time they came out they informed me that it was getting too hot in the cleaning mode and the steam was going into the computer panel and melting the electrical wire. They also said I would no longer be under warranty and from now on it would be my issue. The next two times I cleaned the oven, I did so the old fashioned way and skipped the self-cleaning. This week my oven started beeping and giving me a code and will not work. I called my trusted repair man and this is what I learned. The computer board is probably toasted. They no longer make the board, so he will have to send it out to be rebuilt. This will take 10 to 14 days and the cost will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $650.00! Are you kidding me?! How is this my issue? I have checked faithfully every few months, assuming that others are having the same issues, and that Whirlpool would be doing the right thing and recalling these ovens. Stupid me! This last time I had not even used the oven in three days and it still went out? I am old enough to remember when the first place you went to look for appliances was Whirlpool because they were good, they lasted and the company stood behind them. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Whirlpool Duet Steam Washing Machine WFW9500TW had F35/Suds code 14 months after we purchased the washer. Hose / air trap is clear and the hose from the analog pressure switch is connected properly. The appliance tech we had come out to look at the washer determined that the analog pressure switch was defective. He told us that this is a common problem with this washing machine. Whirlpool supervisor, Michael (female), stated that they could send a tech out - and charge us for the call - to diagnose the problem. She refused to transfer me to someone who could help and couldnt comprehend that the its out of warranty excuse isnt a proper defense for a product defect. There are many posts about Analog Pressure Switch problems with this washing machine.The posts about Whirlpools poor customer service are absolutely accurate. They are horrible - good luck in getting them to work with you. We read the reviews for the Whirlpool Duet Steam washing machine before purchasing one and we disregarded the bad ones as disgruntled customers. Please do not make the same mistake we made. After my conversation with their customer service dept today, I will never buy another Whirlpool product again. Defective parts happen. Refusing to fix a known problem is unacceptable.

My father and I both got the Whirlpool Gold gas furnace 3 seasons ago. I can't tell you how happy we both are! Our heating bills plummeted; the unit is quiet and does a fantastic job. I am 50 and I have to admit this is in the top 5 of the best purchases I ever made. For me to take the time to find a place to write a review 3 years later should be testament to how happy I am. I bought a Whirlpool 3.4 Cu Ft. Top Load Washer, Model: WTW4800XQ on Sunday. Today is Tuesday morning, but the machine broke last night. It lasted for about 5 loads and they were not big loads, unbalanced, and yes I had the right amount of soap. Whirlpool is saying that I washed something that was not machine washable. However, that is simply not true. I washed the bathroom rugs (which have been washed many times before) and they are saying the pump is clogged. If I had a washing machine 48 hours ago, do I really have to pay a service repairman to fix it? I will never buy any Whirlpool product again.

My experience was terrible. We purchased a side by side refrigerator on June 27, 2011 and it stopped working in December, 2011. We reported this onDecember 19, 2011. A repairman was sent out a few days later, who could not solve the problem because a piece had to be ordered. The piece was ordered and the repairman came to install the part on December 28, 2011.The refrigerator is still not working at all. We have been without ice for this period of time, not to mention the inconvenience of non-refrigeration of food. I pleaded for them to pick up the refrigerator and give me even a partial refund. I purchased the Whirlpool Duet washing machine October 2010. When I first got the washing machine, it shook the house (new stick built house) when it was on the spin cycle. They had a repair man come out to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it, it was fine as it was. We thought it was ridiculous, but we are young and didnt know better. He also told us we should fill up the washing machine more than what we where because the clothes wash better when its packed. Big mistake on our behalf! The washing machine has ate thousands of dollars worth of clothing. We did what we where told, so we thought we were doing something wrong. Little did we know we were doing nothing wrong. It was the machine. Then a sock found its way to the drainage field which let water pour out of the washing machine throughout the laundry room and going to the rest of the house. What a mess. We called and they found the problem and removed the sock. Still didnt fix the damaged clothing issue. I called them 1 year and 7 days after we got it and Whirlpool still wont cover their product. They said they where sorry they couldnt help. Well couldnt and wont are two separate things. Its a shame they wont stand behind their product after I bought over $6,000 appliances from them. You think theyd be a little more compassionate to their customers after spending that much money? Now you know how they treat their customers. Dont buy Whirlpool. When my dryer died my wife and I decided to get both a new washer & dryer. I kick myself for two reasons. My 15-year-old washer which worked fine I replaced, and I didnt check reviews before buying. What a mistake. The eco-friendly Whirlpool washer designed to save energy doesnt clean close, my towels are the worse. Coming out of a shower and using a freshly washed towel to dry off and it smelling like it had never been washed tears it for me. Looked for the best refrig we could find and it turned out to be a piece of junk! Less than 3 years old, paid 2700$, french doors bottom door freezer. It started making a lot of noise it seem to be coming from freezer. Called Whirlpool, they said to clean coils. We wanted a repair company to come out. They set an appointment for next Tuesday between 12pm and 5pm. Said ok.Was making so much noise, and no longer freezing everything so call said company. Lady was very rude, and said they would not be out on Tuesday but sometime the following week. This would not work for us so called another repair shop, said they would be out. They were here before 6pm. Found out that they have been having this problem, had same type of call already this week. Repair for this problem would be over $1100.00. No thank you! Would just as soon junk this appliance. So very sorry we wasted our money on this.

I purchased a Whirlpool electric water heater from Lowe’s in 2007. It lasted 2 years until a faulty weld on the tank started leaking and flooded my basement. Whirlpool did replace it. However, my second water heater did the same exact thing in a different location on the tank after 2 1/2 years. It also flooded my basement.I am now on my third Whirlpool water heater in 5 years and the one I have now has a bad thermistor. It has cost me about $225 each time the water heater has been replaced. In my opinion, these Whirlpool water heaters are junk and their quality control needs to get out of the break room and start doing their job. Never will I purchase another Whirlpool appliance.

Whirlpool hot water heater - The water coming from the faucets when it is hot is red. Therefore, I contacted Whirlpool and was informed that the anode has failed. The anode is not covered because, according to this company, it is not considered a working part. It baffles me that the anode is not a working part since it keeps the tank from rotting. I have only had the hot water tank for three years and this part has failed causing my hot water to be red. Since this company contradicts itself, I either have to live with red hot water (rust) or replace the part on my own. Unlike your company, Lowes has customer service. They apologized and will be paying for half of the expense for the part. Unfortunately, I still must pay for an employee to replace the part. This whole situation is absolutely ridiculous. I will never be purchasing another item from your company and in addition to that, I will tell everyone I know to avoid this company at all costs. You should strongly consider revising this policy before you lose all of your customers.

This morning is the fifth morning I had to take a cold shower. My hot water heater keeps going out. When we call, we are told to dust the underneath better, as it sucks dust. Are you kidding? The hot water heater is still under warranty, which means I will have to spend around $200 to have repaired again. So much for top of the line.

I have many rentals, and for over 39 years have always bought Whirlpool dishwashers for them and my own home. I have noticed over the last 15 years or so they are getting more and more poorly made. First I quit buying the plastic tub ones because they collected mold on the back. Then putting one in a rental, we went through 3 brand new ones that all leaked before we got a good one. Now, I bought the very best for my home 2 years ago, had the pump replaced under warranty due to leaks. Now, the plastic upper rack wheel has snapped off its plastic base. For under 30 dollars you get a replacement kit for it, that is all metal. So why didnt Whirlpool just put in the metal ones and charge a little more. So this will be my last Whirlpool, and all the brands they make. Do your research, many of the name brands you know are all made by Whirlpool.

Note that most of the complaints are about gas water heaters, but the electric water heaters dont seem to be much better. Mine, barely made 4 yrs old and both elements and thermostat went. Had plumbers in for estimates in to repair - much cheaper to install a new one (No...not a Whirlpool!). Very disappointed in the product.

Our $2000+ Whirlpool Gold just had the control board fail. After calling Whirlpool, local services and all national parts suppliers we were told each time the part is on back order until June. If this is Whirlpools way of generating new fridge sales, it does not work. No Whirlpool, Kenmore, Frigidaire or KitchenAid, all made by the same company will ever enter my home. The control board runs the fridge. Which executive thinks a family can live without a fridge for 4 months? What terrible service. GE always has parts and service. Go with GE everyone.

My Whirlpool microwave has been serving me for over 20 years. Never a problem. It performs well at all settings. Size is convenient for mounting over range. I recommend highly because of reliability and performance.

This Whirlpool top load washer has been an awesome product. I have had it for 9 years and havent had a bit of trouble. Its very quiet and very reliable. The only maintenance is running a cleaning tablet on the cleaning setting once per month, and it tells you when its due... No musty smell problems that I hear from people with front loaders. Its a great product.

Whirlpool Gold Microwave Hood Combo GH5184XPS4 purchased new on 12/2009. The plastic vent cracked where clip attached by factory installed screw. The vent fell off microwave on 10/2011. I spoke with Whirlpool customer service. It is out of warranty and recommended to buy new vent part ($40.00). The new vent broke once again on 12/2011, clip attachment location. Now, the plastic door handle is cracking. The customer service is sorry and recommends to buy replacement parts as long as they remain available. There are many reports of similar instances noted online. I live in a newly constructed condominium where multiple owners have had the same problems with their Whirlpool Gold Microwave Hood Combo GH5184XPS4.

Purchased electric double oven range WGE555SOBS02, from Lowes end of 2014. Couple months it came on by itself, middle of night, 879°. Repaired panel 3x, then Lowes replaced stove, middle 2015. 6/26/2017 error message F2E1, control panel... stuck / shorted key. Out of warranty. Lowes and Whirlpool both claim no previous complaints. They will send repairman to assess problem, $150.

Purchased this dishwasher in January 2012, and it stopped working in May 2015. We replaced thermal fuse a year ago and just had to replace the control panel. It worked for 1 day and through 2 wash cycles, but during the 3rd wash cycle, it failed to drain and no power again, which is the same problem we had before. We opted to also replace the control board, just to be safe. Lol. What a piece of junk! Whirlpool is a pathetic excuse for a company, and, judging from others experiences with the customer service department, we will not bother contacting these ** since they clearly have no interest in providing any service at all to their customers. I have had many other lower end dishwasher models, and all of them worked well past the 5 - 10 year mark and never stopped working or required any service. A factory authorized technician came out this morning and repaired the washing machine. The bolt had come off of the pulley, which then fell off and burned through the guard, and then burned into the insulating on the bottom. The technician said this happens frequently. All that needs to happen is to have a Loctite bolt holding the pulley rather than a plain bolt which comes loose with the vibration. All Whirlpool had to do was spend a couple cents more for the proper part which would avoid potential fire! I should not have needed to have had my home put at risk, needed this service call or pay all that extra money because of their poor workmanship and design failure. This should be a recall item, and all costs incurred by the consumer should be covered by Whirlpool.

We purchased a Whirlpool gas range at Home Depot. After less than 2 years the oven would cut off and the time would start flashing. Check on other peoples problems and found out that I was not the only one. Called Whirlpool and the man on the phone told me I could have a problem with the circuit board. Said he could sell me a 1-year warranty to cover service and parts. I think the best thing to do is to buy another oven and not spend any more money on this junk. I purchased this machine, a Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5640XW, from Lowes on Dec. 11, 2010. I just realized today, Dec. 24 2012, I had a 2-year extended warranty plan! Shame on me. At any rate the washing machine is very hard on clothing, tearing light fabrics and ruining my wifes bras. The clothes often come out with shreds of fabric from the other clothes in the washer. Oftentimes, it will not complete a cycle because it constantly goes out of balance. Today I paused the machine halfway through the wash cycle after the soak cycle to throw in some more laundry and start the cycle over. Half the clothes were still dry! Yes it may save water, but if you only use a cup of water for a load of clothes, how well can it clean? My wife has sensitive skin. So now we wash a load with extra rinse and normal soap then run the cycle again with no soap to get the soap residue rinsed out. Were saving big now! Yes, we are using HE detergent and the recommended amount. The machine is pure junk. I would love to see a class action suit against Whirlpool for selling such an inferior product. I know thats asking a lot in the land of no accountability we live in today, but one can always dream.

My dishwasher is just under 3 years old. It has never cleaned well and doesnt dry well at all. I have replaced parts for the top rail 4x. I have 4 other Wp appliances and none are good. The plastic parts in these appliances are beyond cheap and yet they have no problem selling them at a premium. And they also do not stand by their products. Why in the world would you need an extended warranty to get you through 3 years? In other words they make crap and want you to pay them because their stuff is crap... Im done with Whirlpool.

I have owned a Whirlpool Gold refrigerator since 2011. It has required two repair calls due to a water leak. The company did repair it free of charge on the second visit even though it was out of warranty. It is now leaking again which has caused damage to my wood floor and basement ceiling tiles. I am told that I have pay for the repairs this time even though it is the same problem. I was offered a modest discount to purchase a new refrigerator. I will never buy another Whirlpool product. This refrigerator should be recalled. I recommend GE products. They stand behind their products and they last a lot longer. Shame on Whirlpool! So many complaints with very little response .

Bought unit from Lowes in july 2017. Shortly after icicles started forming on the roof of the freezer near where the door & frame meet. Called authorized service repair company to have them check out. Tech knew right away what was wrong. Appears Whirlpool has the parts made in China & then assembled in the USA. China has overfilled the freezer door with insulation warping the door. This makes the door seal sag on the bottom & pull away on the right side. No way to repair. Was told they need to order a new freezer door.Weeks later I get a call that Whirlpool cannot get a door replacement!!! Said they will give Lowes a store credit. The floor model at Lowes has the same defect. When Lowes ordered a replacement unit they opened the packing & found that this unit has the same defect. I am replacing with a Frigidaire! Where is the quality control at Whirlpool. Anyone at Whirlpool who puts these units together could not help but see this defect - but ignores it & ships it out anyway. Thats what you get from farming stuff out to China. No excuse on Whirlpools part. Maybe Trump can save Whirlpool.

I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine in 2010. I hate it 100%. I have never used bleach in the machine. I use liquid detergent only. 2 things happen every day: #1: When I wash a load of colors, I take them out when complete and there is dry white powder like substance over the black clothes. It looks dirty but it just got washed. #2 About once a week, I will pull something out of the washer and there is a bleach spot on it. The last item that this happened to was a $200 sweater. It went in the garbage. This should never of happened with an $800 washing machine.

This is my second water heater in three years. The problem is the thermocouple thermostat. Also, when I drain the water, it comes out of the heater black because of the corrosion in side. I spoke to people in the company, and they were nasty to me. This happened to my two heaters in 2 1/2 years. Please, do not buy a Whirlpool heater.

0 stars. The refrigerator coil keeps freezing. There seems to be no defrosting, there is no element to do this so it freezes every 5-6 months. No warranty. I bought it as is but seems to me a function it should have isn’t working. They should fix them. Ill guess it’s just business, hope theyre ok with St. Peter’s showing them the way down to hell while he’s saying it was just business.

We bought the dishwasher on 12/28/11. It broke 4 weeks later. I had the company come out to fix it. 6 months later, it broke again, needed a whole new control board. 3 months later, it broke again, they came out and did some type of repair. 7 months later, it broke again and it needed a whole new control board. They wanted to charge us $250.00 for this, but after some major arguing in regards to how New this was and the warranty now out, they waived the fee. 3 weeks later, the same problem as before! I am so angry about this lemon of a dishwasher! They are coming out again today! I am quite sure they will need to replace the control board again! I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

My dishwasher is really a simple basic dishwasher. It is efficient and does a good job of cleaning. You can put many items in the top and bottom and the utensil basket can be moved for better cleaning or more room. If I had one complaint that would be that it is a bit too loud but other than that it is wonderful.

We purchased a Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher from Lowes approximately 2 years ago. Serial P32105232. We noticed a dark stain coming up in the hardwood floor. It was a water leak from the dishwasher appears to be from seal when water cycle leaves unit. This has caused over 70k damage to our home. Ruined entire hardwood floor kitchen cabinets warped so all need replaced. Our insurance company has made a disaster after owning home 10 years. Custom cabinets that match the laundry room as well. No to mention. The jackhammer used to bust up 800 sq foot of flooring and the concrete dust in our entire home. Please advise recourse.

We bought the Whirlpool water heater and not long after, it quit heating. After many phone calls, we finally got a response and were told to get the replacement thermocouple. We did this and it was the wrong part. We found out that we had to have a right hand thread thermocouple. Now, the heater is out of warranty and we cannot keep it lit at all. It takes at least 3-4 times before it will light once and then it goes out every time the hot water is used.

Very concerned. First the microwave broke. It seems that is burning on the inside. The model number is MH1150XMS-2, purchased in 2005. I have had to replace the plate. I have read of many recalls, because of the potential of fire. My model was not among the ones on the recall list.

This started Sept 27 2017 when the ordered online electric range 30 inch slide in oven Whirlpool brand was delivered. When using the oven, a noxious diesel smell filled my home, despite multiple attempts to burn in the unit as advised. 10 days later after still trying to burn it in fumes got worse. I called corp who then sent over a tech to look at it and the tech shared with me when he arrived that he was the wrong person since he cant smell due to an old injury! He admitted he smelled a chemical when it first went on but it went away for him but might have went away due to is impaired smelling ability. I called Corp back and they totally agreed something was wrong with it that could not be repaired and the unit should be picked up and I should be paid back that day it is picked up. They said in a few days which later turned in 2-3 weeks out and counting... I filed a complaint with the BBB due to the ongoing issues. Corp office said they would pick up unit and at that time hand deliver me my refund in full. At first the pick up was weeks out but after BBB was notified they came yesterday 10/18/17 and removed unit, but no check! I called Corp again this time asking why I did not get my money as they promised she said someone dropped the ball, and that someone should have told me that since they had to get someone non-local to get it that they will mail me the check in 14-21 days! She said I see in the notes. They told you they would hand deliver you your refund so they should have called you about the change.So here I sit... No oven in use since Sept 18 and no money back to buy one for weeks yet. I have never been told, despite my requests as to what the chemical was that I was burning off in my home and exposed my family to over 10 days which we had headaches and nausea from (despite windows opened and fans going at full blast). Only that it might have come from the manufacturer or process. This company isnt the only one who has had issues on occasion with a defect in this never-ending chemical smell but the lack of regard of my safety concerns and failure to stand up to what they offered to do (poorly handled response) is simply wrong and bad business. I have not dealt with Whirlpool regarding matters ever and have very little of their products in my home so unsure if this is unique or standard with them. I wont buy their products anymore because I am less than very dissatisfied with my experience. I may have been the only unlucky person having this kind of response from this company but felt the need to share.

I bought a Whirlpool Duet Frontload washing machine and now two and half years after buying it, it sounds like the tub is about to spin out of the machine. The repair man said it would cost over $750 to install a new tub and bearings in it. I thought the product would have lasted longer than two and a half years. I will never buy another Whirlpool product!

We bought a complete set of Whirlpool Appliances three years ago. The set we bought were in the upper price range. In the past three years: The freezer began forming ice on the bottom which melted and poured water all over the floor (a unit on the freezer had to be replaced 18 months ago). An element on the stove quit working and had to be replaced (12 months ago). The ice maker quit working and had to be completely replaced (9 months ago). The dishwasher quit working and the entire motor had to be replaced (3 months ago). The ice maker quit working again four days ago. The repair person who just came said the entire unit needed to be replaced, AGAIN. He said the warranty on the part is only 6 months. I called Whirlpool itself - their warranty is only 1 year. The fact that their warranties are so short, and there are so many problems with their products is evidence that they do not make products to actually work. They simply make them to sell. They do not care if the product works once the consumer has paid for it. This was obvious in my conversation with the Whirlpool service person. She took 10 minutes to gather all my personal information then took 10 seconds to tell me there was nothing they would do.

Cabrio Top Load Washer model WTW6800WW1 - Although we were very happy with the vendor where this was purchased and happy with the majority of the washer function; there is a problem with the cabinet & lid connectors rusting. Specifically, the lid connector on the left side totally rusted out, and also around the bleach cup, rust. There are also rust spots where the seam of the top section of the washer meets the bottom part. The washer was purchased in 2009. We have had it serviced in the past, prob 5 years ago, it needed a new motor and the rust was beginning to show then, while under warranty. I recently called Whirlpool and the associate told me that she had never received a call with regard to this type of problem. She did give me names and phone numbers of appliance repair in my area. I find it odd that Whirlpool would not make their associates aware of issues like this. I searched online and saw more than a few complaints about rust. So on it goes, no recourse, and as I read about the problem from others reporting this; it was mentioned that the vapors from the bleach cup etc, contribute to the rust. Additionally, even if it was under warranty, I was told that this is considered cosmetic and it would not be covered. Until... and I can only suppose, that until the lid possibly falls off while lifting, the cosmetic ruling may then turn into a function problem. Now there is also a squeaking sound, so off to call the appliance repair, check the cost and next time... buyer beware. I guess a lesson in science as well, hopefully this design flaw will be corrected for the next models in process.

The shelves in freezer don’t lock into anything so if you don’t balance the food right on the shelf it will tip over. I had to replace the fan motor in freezer. The refrigerator is only 4 years old. The little tray under the water and ice outside of door if you shut the freezer door too quick water from tray goes everywhere. The water filter cost $50.00. If you have bad water you will need to change it twice a month.

Have an old Estate by Whirlpool, still going, no problems, washes well. I can control the wash by adding more water, stopping it and restarting it. There is nothing like the old washing machines. I have seen and used the latest and greatest, but they cannot compete.

Best microwave for your money. It is very quiet and easy to use. This microwave is very sharp looking and comes with all the bells and whistles that you need. I like the potato setting. You put your potatoes in and it will ask you some stuff and you press the button.
