I purchased a high-end Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT710PAYM) a few months ago thinking I was making a wise upgrade. Poor design and it wont dry dishes or properly wash utensils when theyre placed in the utensil rack on the door panel. The unit heavily condenses after using heat dry mode and large water droplets completely cover the top of the inside cabinet. Eventually, they all fall down into the dishes and you now have wet dishes again. The Whirlpool tech’s response was to scratch the cabinet plastic with a scratchy pad, smear rinse aid over the plastic cabinet and that should stop droplets from forming. Whirlpool’s customer service told me they shouldve never told me that and what I should do is be there during the drying cycle and open the cabinet door to let the steam out. This is completely ludicrous. Dont walk but run away from Whirlpool products.

I originally brought this to the attention of Whirlpool on February 27, 2014, and they chose to ignore the matter I raised. I am appalled at their customer service, but then again, customer service has been dead in America for decades now. I purchased a KitchenaAid (Architect Series II, Model KERS807SSS02, Ser. XW4704146) oven in 2009, which included a 5-year extended warranty. The first time I had to use my extended warranty was the first time a pot overboiled and thus overflowed covering the top of my range. Since then, Ive had to have my oven serviced two other times, but resulting from a pot which overflowed on the range. The controls are located in the front, directly below the stove top. There is most definitively a flaw in the design of the model I purchased. It seems quite obvious to me that the design should have included protection from moisture reaching the controls. It is very common for pots to overboil, from time to time, and thus overflow, but this should not cause the controls to malfunction due to seepage. Had I purchased the model that had controls behind the range and controls above the cooking surface, moisture would never reach the controls when a pot overflows. It should not cost hundreds of dollars each time a pot overflows on a range. Had I known that the oven model I purchased had a design flaw that allows moisture to reach the computer controls of the oven, I would have purchased the oven with the controls above the cooking surface.I invested over $2K on this oven because having owned KitchenAid appliances in the past, the KitchenAid brand had historically proven reliable. KitchenAid (or now Whirlpool) can no longer take pride in the quality of their products, most likely relative to the loss of manufacturing jobs in the U.S. Whirlpool ignored me the first time I contacted them on this matter and most recently today when I was told that it was a use matter. Apparently they believe that an overflowed pot is not a common occurrence on a range. I wrote directly to Jeff Fettig, CEO of Whirlpool and he has chosen to ignore me.

We purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater at Lowes - model no. FG15040T3NOV, serial no. 0434120861, product no. 0730267 & weve still been having issues keeping the pilot light lit. We purchased the bottom unit piece that Whirlpool said would fix the problem but weve still been having problems with the pilot light going out. The water heater isnt under warranty anymore, so last night was the last straw & we finally decided to get another water heater that wasnt a Whirlpool. Ive done a research on the internet and found out that a lot of consumers are still having this problem to this day.

Purchased 11-02-2016. This Whirlpool/Kenmore dishwasher is falling apart. Top rack wheels are totally broken, ordered parts 4 times, gave up. Now they are held together by gorilla glue. I have gone through 3 gray plastic end caps for the top rack runners. Now one is contained by a plastic slip tie. Last week it started leaking. Sears was totally useless. Whirlpool keeps sending me back to them. Now, I have to go buy another new dishwasher. It will not be a Whirlpool. Next time getting the extended warranty.

My father and I both got the Whirlpool Gold gas furnace 3 seasons ago. I can't tell you how happy we both are! Our heating bills plummeted; the unit is quiet and does a fantastic job. I am 50 and I have to admit this is in the top 5 of the best purchases I ever made. For me to take the time to find a place to write a review 3 years later should be testament to how happy I am. Make sure you have it professionally installed! Don't skimp here…this is the key!

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever purchased. Bought 12/19. The water level never never goes up high enough, to cover the cloths. I have to add water no matter what setting. I hate that. The sensor isnt working. You arent able to adjust it yourself, its computerized. The water shuts off when you lift the lid so you cant rinse out the soap or fabric softener caps. I hate that. The lid locks when the rinse cycle starts so I have to unlock the lid to add fabric softener. Why lock the lid so soon, wait till its in spinning mode. Really really badly designed!!!! Will never buy anything by Whirlpool ever again!

Whirlpool model # WRF989SDAM - Freezer quit. Tech says inverter is out. $480 later tech says evaporator is out and that Whirlpool covers sealed parts for 5 years. Call Whirlpool. They say not going to send a tech out for $130 to diagnosis the same problem already diagnosed and dont know if they warranty it or not. Cant get an answer from anyone but find the warrant on the Whirlpool website that nobody seems to know anything about. A $2500 fridge turning into a $3700 fridge should of spent the money and bought wolf appliances. Very disappointed in Whirlpool customer service or lack thereof and their knowledge of their own warranty and website. Be aware of this fridge and Whirlpool in general and not make the same mistake. I have our Whirlpool microwave has been replaced 3 times. We have only been in our new house 18 months!!!!

After 14 years of good service with Whirlpool Duet front load washer dryer
After 14 years of good service with Whirlpool Duet front load washer dryer set, wife chose Whirlpool kitchen appliances as part of a kitchen update project. All matching fridge, range, microwave hood and dishwasher. What a nightmare! The icemaker growls and whines all the time and the dishwasher was broken before being packaged at the manufacturer. A wheel from the middle rack was missing when the dishwasher was opened. It wasnt in the sealed dishwasher nor in the box. So it had to have been broken off before the item was boxed. We called for warranty claim and A-1 Appliance was recommended out of Shreveport, LA. In a few weeks he showed up, looked at the rack for a while and said Ill have to order a new part. I said fine. (How hard can that be? Right?) So here we are 5 months later, unable to use the middle rack because it cant hold any weight with the roller missing. Multiple calls to Whirlpool and A1 and we keep getting promises and runarounds that turn out to be lies. How hard is it to say go to your local Lowes and well authorize them to give to give you a rack from an in-stock dishwasher? Let Lowes wait on the new part! Sounds simple, and any other company would have done that, or told us to return it to Lowes for another one. But NO! Whirlpool just whines about being behind on parts, shorthanded, or lies about the part is in and its A1s problem now.So, today, same story. A1 says they need 2 parts. **! Its one part. Whirlpool says A1 has the needed part. Same old runaround. So, we just replaced our 14 year old washer and dryer with NON Whirlpool units. $2500 more in of appliances that Whirlpool could have gotten, but Im guessing they dont even care about missing and losing sells. They certainly do not care about warranty, parts, quality, customer satisfaction or repeat customers. Never again with Whirlpool! Beware!

Purchased a self-cleaning Whirlpool oven - model number RBS245PRS06 at Home Depot. Spent extra for the self-cleaning feature. The oven had slight use and used maybe once a week. Cooked a big Thanksgiving meal and decided it was time to use the self-clean feature for the first time. One hour into the process the oven shuts off, no longer has power, and the oven door is locked and will not open. Called Whirlpool (talked to 2 levels of customer service), they wanted me to buy a $200+ warranty for another year of coverage!Researched online and talked to the parts people and this is a KNOWN defect. It happens frequently when using the self-clean feature. It requires replacing the Thermal Overload Safety Thermostat which costs $45 with shipping for the part. The service call is over $100 PLUS labor which can run even more. There are YouTube videos that show how to replace this fuse. The parts lady recommended NOT using the self-cleaning for this oven. Buyer beware. If you are in the market for a new oven do not consider this Whirlpool model. THIS PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE AND WHIRLPOOL WILL NOT STAND BEHIND IT ONCE YOUR 12 MONTHS IS UP.

After the pilot light on my water heater would no longer stay lit, I contacted the Whirlpool technical support number listed on the unit only to be told my unit was still under warranty, but I would be responsible to pay a $65 diagnostic fee and any labor associated with a repair. The technician came and said my ventilation system was the problem and didnt even touch the unit. He then sent a report to Whirlpool that the unit was flooded which voided my warranty. He did not submit photos to substantiate his water damage claim and now Im being told the unit is unsafe and must be replaced at my expense. This all sounds like collusion to not honor the warranty! Our washing machine - as part of a stackable set - is two weeks beyond the one year warranty. Washer breaks down, I order the replacement part to find out - after waiting two months for the part - that the washer is now being discontinued so the ETA on the part is NEVER. Ask what Whirlpool will do about this and am advised that they will offer me a discount on a washing machine that does not fit on the stackable dryer. Or I can purchase a new washing machine at more than the original cost of the stackable set. This is a totally unacceptable situation. The washer is just out of the one year warranty period and it is already being discontinued??? Is Whirlpool making disposable appliances now so that after the one year warranty we just toss the appliance in landfill? Really? Unable even to purchase replacement parts to repair a one year old appliance? I will think long and hard about ever purchasing another Whirlpool appliance again.

I purchased a refrigerator 7 yrs ago. I paid over $1800 on sale for it. Now it needs repairs, it already cost me $89 just to have the tech look at it and he said it will cost $300 to $500 to fix it on top of the service call and now he informs me that it will take at the very least until February or March before he gets the part. I contacted Whirlpool and they told me there is nothing they can do, just to work the tech and I said so Im supposed to go without a fridge for 3 months and was told sorry for the inconvenience. So Im thinking they sell me their product, take my money, then brush me off when I ask for help. That is piss poor way to do business.

I purchased this machine in February 2019. The standard one-year warranty covered the first service call less than one year later. This call was related to the main control board. If this part goes out it will prevent the washer from advancing through the cycles. A technician was able correct this problem by resetting control board. That was sometime the first year. The next call was for the same problem and it cost me $90 to have a technician reset the board again. I then learned how to do it myself through online research. However, I had to do it more regularly and this got old as you can imagine. I did buy myself about two months of time by purchasing a used part but it soon failed as well. This main control board cost $564 if you get it from the manufacturer. This exceeds the cost of the machine. It was purchased in 2019. (The same machine has gone up to $740 today.) I had no other problems with that appliance however, it appears nowadays with electronics taking over cycles vs. mechanical parts you will not enjoy the same longevity as I did when I got 16 years out of a GE washer before this one. I have replaced this machine with a competitors product that costs less than the part except for the 5-year warranty from Lowes.

Our experience in calling Whirlpool for service is that it is very expensive and time consuming. A refrigerator installed at the same time as the purchase had a defective ice maker which took three service calls and a final installation of a broken part by me before we were together again. 2 (two) service men recommended that if we had problems again that we do what they did. We purchased our first front-loader washing machine (Whirlpool Duet WFW9250WW00) just over two years ago. Since we purchased it, it has torn clothes and we have replaced the drum baffles twice (this would be the third time, but we are throwing the washer out), the drum seals twice (another place clothes can get caught). I had adjusted my washing (maybe I overfilled the washer, maybe I was using the wrong spinning speed), but every so often clothing would come out with holes or torn. The drum baffles must come loose before they come out, and clothing can get caught underneath them (I think that is where the tears occur). It has happened at least once a month and I had spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out where the clothes got caught and torn. Many people complain about bad smells from the washers (which I never had - I like the Tide with Febreeze detergent and every so often clean it with bleach or Affresh), but never torn clothing. I would really like to use a front-loading washing machine, but we are going back to the top loader - we cannot afford the clothing tears. I have seen that many people replace baffles (not many speak of clothing tears) and maybe in the future this problem will be addressed. But in the meantime, I would stay away from Whirlpool front-end washers. (GE makes some nice top loaders - and in 40 years of washing clothes and only owning two other washers, I have always thought washers to be an appliance that would last 15 years or longer with very little maintenance or trouble). I believe that I really tried to make this washing machine work out, but it got to the point where my husband did not want to wash baseball uniforms and other irreplaceable clothing in our washer.

We have had this range in our new home and in use since May, 2019. The first range had to be returned after its first use due to flaking of the interior walls; a problem the company acknowledged. Since then we have been so unhappy with its ability to maintain the oven temperature. Contrary to the instructions, we calibrated the oven temp and found that it would vary up to 20 degrees lower than the set temp. When set to 350, it would come up to that temp and then cut off until it fell to 330 when it would come back up to 350. That is a great differential noticeable in the time it takes to heat an item and which greatly affects baked goods. A similar lack of consistency in control in the range elements is apparent as well. Now those are major defects. Minor defects are: it is NOT a rapid preheat at all, both lights are on when the switch is engaged even though only one oven is in use, there is no clock function when the timer is in use and the range surface is difficult to clean as it streaks which is visible with the black finish.

Was baking a pie when suddenly noticed the electric range had caught fire underneath the bottom of the oven. I could see partially through the slits inside that the heating element was on fire. Could not get to heating element as it covered. Shut the door and turned the oven off so the fire would die out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I was baking pecan pie. Whirlpool is no longer a quality brand. Washing machine bought at the same time has been repaired twice since owning. Also, Aqualift technology is a joke. It doesnt remove any messes burned during cooking. I wish Id stayed away from this complaint. Bought a stove, washer, and dryer. Dryer has been the only appliance we havent had a problem with. We saved over a year to ripped off by Whirlpool. I expected a washer and stove to last far longer than 3 years. Actually would be 3 yrs come December. So disappointed.

Model # WFG510S0AS1 SER #R30850040. Oven was installed NEW in the home I purchased in July of 2013. I used the cleaning feature on it in Nov 2014. I am amazed that it did not start a fire. Please see pictures attached. The whole control panel melted. This makes the oven unusable and extremely dangerous. I will need to replace the whole control panel. I followed the instructions completely in the manual provided for the cleaning cycle. It says in the manual to only clean the over this way as using easy off or any other cleaner will damage the inner surfaces.Whirlpool claims they have no knowledge of this problem but there are numerous complaints on their site about it as well as other internet sites complaining about the melting of the control panel. I need to know how to fix this problem and dont believe I should have to pay for something that is obviously a flaw in the materials used. It is extremely dangerous. Since these pieces of Whirlpool equipment were installed by the broker that originally purchased the home, I have no record of purchase. I can try and contact him and see if he has anything but kind of doubt he has receipts now.

I purchased the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher, Model DU1055XTVQ0, Serial # FY3762359. The racks are cheaply made and rusting! Almost all of the tips on the racks are rusting, causing them to corrode and break off completely! This dishwasher is well under 5 years old. Not sure what we paid for this machine but the racks should not be doing this after this short length of time. They shouldnt be doing this after any length of time.I called Whirlpools customer support center today and was told there is nothing they could do. The support agent asked if I had hard water, if so, that could be causing the problem (I dont have hard water). The agent stated that they do not cover rusting racks nor would they replace them, now I see why. They are expensive to replace. As of now, I will not be buying another Whirlpool appliance - ever! They just lost a dissatisfied customer due to their very poor quality and customer service.

Then, it wouldnt run right. We had to pay another charge for that. Now they tell me the water valve is bad on it. If I had known at the time the problems I was going to experience with this washer, I would never have bought it. I fell for the price. We paid for it. We should be getting better service from it than we are. I could have bought 6 regular washers for what I paid for this one that doesnt perform like it should.

Whirlpool 27 cu.ft french door bottom mount WrF989SDAH White - We took delivery of this ice making fridge mid-September from Sears Canada. 3 weeks later we have ice at the ceiling/wall seam at the back inside the fridge. Water collects along the rubber seal of the freezer drawer which we have to mop up. We said we were not going to use the water/ice maker and its not even hooked up. Water comes down through the water dispenser onto the panel which we also mop up. Moisture in fridge. Temp settings are as factory specified. Whirlpool authorized tech guy gave us the inside info. Hes seen so many design problems with this model and what Whirlpool do is order the tech guys to say to customers we can order the parts and fix it. Whirlpool keep discovering and modifying the problems but you are not allowed a refund off the bat because the tech guys authorized & sent out by Whirlpool are not allowed to give a report to the retailer or say its design defective. So the customer has shelled out money and has to have band-aids left, right and center. Went to Sears to ask for a refund. They refused because tech guy wont give a report to them (but what do we really know eh? Because the tech guy stood in my kitchen and gave a verbal report to Sears but nothing written). So Im in the hole for a crap product that is only a few weeks old and Whirlpool and Sears have got us over a barrel. The tech guy said he was going to challenge their tech line now because hes upset at how many of these band-aid fridges hes seeing now. I want a different brand and model and cant have it because Sears dont have it. In dire straits now.

I have the same problems that all the consumers are complaining about. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. I have it for 2 years to date, and it doesnt keep my food cold. I loved the roomy space it had; thats what sold me the refrigerator. If I would know what I know now, I wouldnt have bought it. I will never blame the business that I bought it from; I will blame Whirlpool. Hearing all what the consumers did to try to fix the problem, it sounds like a waste of time and money. Im sorry to hear what you went through, but also I want to thank you for your complaints so I dont have to deal with it. Whirlpool sounds like a piece of junk. I’m going back to a GE.

Bought the Duet front loader washer and dryer. Nothing but problems and repairs. When I decided to throw in the towel and buy new machines my repair man convinced me to buy Whirlpool again - Cabrio. Said they are amazing. Love them except the holes in my shirts. I bag my delicates but apparently I have to bag everything. So sorry I bought them. There was a day when you could count on Whirlpool. Replacing my crappy Whirlpool gold refrigerator right now too. Hoping LG will be better. Already replaced my Whirlpool dishwasher. Went to Maytag. This company has gone downhill. My mom had these appliances for 20 plus years - I spend thousands and cant get 5 years!!! Dont buy Whirlpool!

I purchased a Whirlpool induction cooktop Aqualift self cleaning oven Nov.1/12. The oven has never been easy to clean you always have to scrub it, now I boiled some pies over in Oct/13, the syrup burned into the bottom of the oven before the pies were finished baking. My oven is now pitted, warped, and bakes very unevenly, have contacted the merchant, Saskatoon Appliance, Whirlpool, and Excelsior Insurance (extra warranty) Insurance guarantees 24-48 hr service but to no avail. We still have no service 1 month later.

I purchased a replacement gas range (whirlpool) approximately 3 years ago. Its not the top of the line, no bells or whistles such as a self-cleaning oven or such. I did love the three huge grates on top, one which is interchangeable with a flat grill. If it only worked it would be a decent range. The center oblong burner struggled to ignite in full from the beginning. Often, I light the thing with a grill lighter. But the thing that pisses me off more than anything is the F2 error that appears 70% of the time on the control panel when I am preheating the freaking oven. I am NOT replacing the control panel on a $400.00 range. What I have discovered is I can hit off my power at the main, not once, but 2-3xs and reset or over ride the damn thing. I read this F2 code is a common occurrence so I got to thinking, why? My conclusion is the heat from the oven is vented up & directly on the control board panel. Really now, whos bright idea was it to expose a control board to repeated temps of 350+? Hate this appliance. Next range will NOT be a new one, Im looking to replace this junk with something mom or grandma had that lasted decades, not a couple years. Shame on you Whirlpool for producing such low quality, disposable products. By the way, I just went through this with a new fridge so theres much to be desired with new appliances. Theyre junk, designed to fail.

Purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher less than 2 years ago, began noticing a mildew buildup inside. Cleaned it, and bought dishwasher cleaner products, but the problem continued. Realized the dishwasher heater was not working. The dishwasher was staying wet, therefore causing mold. Called appliance repair, and spent 3/4 of the price of the 2 year old dishwasher to repair it. The control box malfunctioned. I was told by the repairman that that was unusual. At the suggestion of the repairman called Whirlpool. I was told since it was beyond the 1 year warranty they will comp us nothing. As a consumer I have no other recourse but to warn others, and to never buy a Whirlpool product again!

I do not know if my mail would be read or not, but I am writing it just to my satisfaction. I am a doctor (dentist) living in Haridwar. I had bought a Whirlpool fridge around 2-3 years back. I am not sure about the date. I have the bill. I will have to check the exact date. So around 3 months back, the fridge stopped cooling and I lodged a complaint in your customer care center. The engineer turned up, and he said that the compressor was not working and the company will change it. We only have to pay for the gas to be refilled. I said ok. Everything went well for nearly 3 months, then again one fine day, the cooling stopped. I called the companys customer care, and they gave me a complaint number and customer satisfaction number. But nobody turned up for 2 days. I called and called, then after much calling, a guy from the company came and said that the compressor was not working and they have to change it but that it will not be possible for 4 days. After 4 days, he will come.Sir, can you live without a fridge for 4 days and not getting the guarantee that it will be ok in the next 4 days? So, I went to the market bought a Kirloskar compressor, got it fixed, and got the gas filled; and the fridge is working fine now on the same day. This cost me nearly 4500rs, but I am happy that I have solved the problem. Till date, nobody has come to see my problem; and to my utter surprise, I received an SMS from Whirlpool that the customer is not willing to pay. Ha ha ha. My fridge is a double-door 280-liter fridge. What should I do?

I have had the machine pair (Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum) for almost 4 years
I have had the machine pair (Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum) for almost 4 years and up until a few months ago I LOVED the washer. I was advised when I bought the machine to make sure to read the manual, which was very helpful in learning to use it properly. I have never had residue on my dark clothing or ever had the clothes come out partially dry. I use liquid HE detergent nothing powder goes in the machine. I also read many reviews before buying it and a got some advice from them. I have washed king size comforters with no problems. Everything has always cleaned very well. The only issues I have are that when bleach was used in a previous cycle. Ive had a problem with the bleach not being fully dispensed and ending up in the next load. Fortunately it was just towels and not darks!!! Although, I had just bought the towels and now they look tie died which was very upsetting to me. I learned to add water to the bleach dispenser to dilute it and that issue seemed to dissipate. BUT NOW... I COULD THROW A TANTRUM. I PAID 1800+ FOR THE PAIR AND THE WASHER IS SHOT!!! A pretty common problem with the Cabrio from what Ive read. It started by making a very loud noise when spinning, like a helicopter was landing in my laundry room! I continued using it, I even thought the sound was getting better after I did the clean cycle. The last load I did would not complete the cycle because it kept reading that it was unbalanced and unfortunately it was a load of heavy wet towels. I was far from happy when I had to remove them and go to a Laundromat. Needless to say its the bearings and to fix its very costly. I cant even fathom that a less than 4 year old machine needs to be repaired and the cost is roughly half of what I paid for it!!! I do know I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool. What happened to making things to last??? Next machine I will definitely get extended warranty. I can honestly agree with all the other reviews... THIS MACHINE IS HORRIBLE!!!

I bought a Whirlpool front load washer, model wfw5620hw, July 19 2019. It worked for 5 months and quit working properly. I have been trying to get whirlpool to fix this piece of junk and have gotten nowhere. When I try to call them there is a 40 to 70 minute waiting time then I got transferred to another department for another 60 wait. This has happened several times in the last two months. I have never been treated so badly by any company in my life. I bought this machine from Menards and they just refer me to whirlpool so they are no help. I have two other commercial coin operated whirlpool machines and they have been great but this model is junk. Other people are having the same problem with it as I am having.

Bought the HE Whirlpool Cabrio in 2013 after having my old agitator Maytag for 19 years. After reading the other reviews I do not feel alone. An awful washer, a year after our purchase the spin cycle is so loud we have to close the laundry room door. Now it has been leaking into my basement. I called a repairman, explained my problem. He suggested to junk the washer, it will cost more to repair than buying a new washer. In addition my clothes did not clean properly, soap stains on clothes because it does not use enough water. This was about $1000 purchase that lasted less than 4 years! I am done with Whirlpool and suggest to anyone not purchase a HE washer, nothing like the old style agitator washers.

Whirlpool Gold Convection Oven - I bought this new oven, cleaned it once. The bottom cracked where the spills had been. Since Id had it only two months, repair tried to say it was only cosmetic but had to replace it. Next time I cleaned the oven for multiple spills, (a year later) it cracked again, giving the bottom a shattered look where the spills were. I only cleaned it once and the bottom is ruined. I dont expect Whirlpool to stand behind this, but I agree these Convection Ovens require a Class Action Suit because they are selling faulty merchandise. Period.

Absolutely read the reviews on this machine before deciding on a purchase. I have experienced with great frustration every issue addressed in other reviews. Clothes constantly have to be rewashed. The Quick cycle will leave your clothes in a puddle of water. But then there is no spin only cycle to correct that. I have purchased Whirlpool washers before with great satisfaction but this machine is not worth the money I paid for it and does not save me on water or electricity costs because of all the rewashing I have to do. Like others I am stuck with this machine until it dies. You lost me as a customer, Whirlpool.

Plus I had to mix my softener into a cup of water to add it on rinse because I forgot the rinse ball, unlike the old washer where I add into dispenser & forget about it. So unhappy & dissatisfied.

We bought a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator in July of 2018 and it has gone out twice (quit cooling and has completely frozen over). The first time it went out at 6 months and the second was two days after the factory warranty expired (the warranty for the Whirlpool repair company lasted only 90 days for parts and labor which is useless). I’ve called the company to come take a look and it will cost over $100 just to have someone come out since we are outside the factory warranty window by four whole days. I was basically told there is nothing they will do even though the same problem keeps happening. This refrigerator was brand new and didn’t even make it six months. Now we will need to either pay hundreds of dollars for repairs (knowing that the issue will likely happen again) or buy a new refrigerator. Even though we have barely had this appliance a year. I will never, ever buy Whirlpool products ever again. I also posted my negative rev on their official website and it never got published. They only show their 4-5 star reviews (all of which say the customer has been incentivized in some way). This is a misleading and sneaky process.

Lowes when I bought the fridge had over 400 of the same refrigerator in stock so why is it they couldnt had replaced it. Or if Whirlpool sells items on their own why didnt they just replace it. We have been going on 3 weeks without a fridge. With all of this said it didnt even last the 7 years they say they last for now. That is ridiculous when the last one lasted 20 years. This is NOT a true review of the oven as I have not used it for baking yet. I just wanted to make a comment about my new oven which was installed this morning. I turned it on as instructed and heated at the high temperature to rid it of the odours. When it is turned completely off the cooling down process begins, which blows the hot air from the oven into the room, causing some annoyance from the hot air, as well as the noise. Not sure I am going to be so happy in summer. I am certain it is a wonderful product for baking results, but with this annoying feature, I am not feeling so happy about it.

We purchased Whirlpool dishwasher Model #GU3200XTXB Nov. 2011. Two weeks later they replaced the soap/rinse aid dispenser because the rinse aid was running out the bottom of the dispenser. Feb. 2012 they replaced the handle which was loose. July 2012 the panel lights werent working and that was replaced. Feb. 2014 the soap dispenser door would not open, so the dispenser was replaced again. March 2014 the soap door would not open again so the computer board was replaced & the door did open. However, it stopped again 3 days later. April 2014 the dispenser and the board were both replaced. The rinse aid dispenser did not dispense leaving the inside with moisture on everything. So yesterday the dispenser was again replaced but now the rinse aid is running out the bottom of the dispenser. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty for $169 or we would have spent more than $1,000 on repairs!! The warranty company refuses to acknowledge that their lemon law should apply. We had bought a whirlpool refrigerator (Model - DC 205 5S/2016) in late April 2016. Initially I noticed a whirring sound after 6-7 hours of switching it on. As nobody from whirlpool had come for installation or any follow up even after requesting, we let it go thinking that nothing could go wrong with a new fridge. Nevertheless, the disturbing sound continued, until I noticed exposed wires running crisscross atop the freezer box and below it, one even preventing the chiller tray to be pulled out easily. Also, we had to get a stabilizer to reduce the notice even though it was written in big bold letters that it was a Stabilizer free refrigerator. After 8 months of owning it, we went for a three-day trip leaving the refrigerator on and set at point 3 in the cooling knob of which 5 is the maximum. On returning back, I noticed a crack at the top right corner of the freezer door and saw that ice had built up covering that side of the freezer inside. Again, as I had to leave for office within 1 hour, I let it rest and went. In the evening we noticed that the crack had extended, so we defrosted the fridge. The next morning I found a small piece of the freezer door floating in the defrosted water, and the freezer door was unhinged and askew at the top, in fact a part of the freezer doors upper right hinge had broken due to maybe the pressure of ice buildup, which had caused the crack that we saw.Shocking it was at first to learn that a freezer door be made of such low standard material ignoring the other fact of wires jutting out of the freezer at top and bottom. As the warranty period was 12 months, I immediately called the customer care, who put me on hold for 8-10minutes and disconnected, this repeated 2 times after which I was frustrated enough and vowed not to use the freezer again. After almost a month a more responsible member of my family took it upon himself and raised a complaint which was answered and a service person came home with a dirty looking and completely scratched piece of replacement door for the freezer. He informed that plastic pieces never came in warranty and we had to pay for it. Upon asking for further clarification he called his manager, Hemanth who was too rude and informed Madam you have pulled the freezer door apart which has caused this. Also, he was asking me specifically are you lying as you said initially that you left for 3days and now you said 5 days? We had left on a Friday night and came back on Tuesday morning, which means 3 complete days out of station. I never knew the exact number of days mattered as a fridge was supposed to be switched on continuously for days. Also, finally Hemanth was informing like if it was some mechanical or electrical fault we could have done it free of cost. So, I reported the whirring noise and the wires jutting out of the freezer tray. He blabbered at first and then informed me that the sound might be due to voltage fluctuation if you are not using a stabilizer (we were using one even though the fridge was a stabilizer free operation one, phew) and the wires issue he completely ignored claiming it as normal. So we paid in full for the dirty and scratched replacement door and also had to be called as liars and blamed that we had literally pulled off the door. Also, he was the most unprofessional manager that I had ever spoken to as he closed the conversation with, If it was LG or Samsung, they would never even have come for service like this. Enough was enough... Never in my life would I have anything to do with whirlpool nor will suggest this brand to anybody. They use such low-quality products. The warranty promises are just scam + even the managers are so insulting and bad mannered to the extent that I never want to deal with them anymore. Also, they dont think twice before just blaming the customers for their low-quality products. In all my years so far I have never come across a brand that treat their customers like this.

Model # WRF990SLAM00 Ser# K23919328 - It should be possible to rate this piece of junk zero stars!! Purchased on Feb 2013, it is driving me and my wife insane. It is noisy compressor wise all the time (Our kitchen and living room in the townhouse are one room). The problems started after the hurricane in 2016 killed our power for three days. I had to shut the refrigerator down to manually defrost the freezer section because the fan on the fan-coil was hitting a huge accumulation of ice. Then the weird blackouts started approx once per month where the panel light as well as the interior lights went on and off every minute with that dreadful BEEP. This went on for over 24 hrs and made living in the same room HELL. The beep and three clicks happen every minute and the cooling is none. Whirlpool service came ($80.00) just to look at it and will come back with the rest of the bill which probably will be astronomical. I feel cheated big time!! Minute and the cooling has worsened big time. Whirlpool service came ($ 80.00) just to look at it and stated it needs a new computer board as well as a new front panel on the left door.

I have had a $3000 GE Profile fridge for 6 years. It died. Tech says turf it. I bought a whirlpool. Hopefully it lasts longer. These expensive fridges seem to be very undependable. What is a family supposed to do when a refrigerator stops working and repairs take days or weeks? Is there a courtesy fridge for a loaner? They are big and heavy. What a royal pain.

I purchased an 80-gallon electric water heater in 2009 with a Lifetime warranty. When the unit failed in 2021, I was told that Whirlpool no longer manufactures an 80-gallon tank. I was provided an R/A# and was told that Lowes should honor it with a like-kind replacement unit. Lowes originally suggested I order an AO Smith Hybrid online, (at my expense), return my old tank, and they would reimburse my account. When I went back to confirm this offer, it was adjusted to a $200 credit (suggesting that was the value at the time of purchase). Later, Lowes again adjusted their offer to cover $650 toward a replacement 50-gallon tank with a 6-year warranty and 30-gallons less capacity. Other manufactures do produce 80-gallon tanks and Lowes does have AO Smith tanks available online only. I would have to pay the difference beyond the $650 offer.I purchased the original 80-gallon tank because I need the capacity and I assumed the Lifetime warranty would allow for an even trade if/when something went wrong. The proper solution would be for Whirlpool/Lowes to offer a replacement value for any comparable 80-gallon tank regardless of the manufacturer. Currently, similar tanks average $1300-1500. (Westinghouse w/ Lifetime warranty at Home Depot). Lowes should also be able to order the tank for in-store delivery as opposed to having me order online at my own expense. Meanwhile, the current tank is leaking and will soon be out of service...

Bought this Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine 4 years ago not knowing it was a low level water washing machine. A man would have had to design this piece of crap. Not only does it not clean the clothes because the agitation on it is as slow as sloth. On top of that the clothes tie themselves in a knot when finished. If you don’t want the frustration of clothes washing, I would highly recommend you not buy this type, if you enjoy cussing then this machine is for you.

My wife and I were gifted a brand new washer (model: WTW7300DW0) and dryer set. We were very excited to try them out as we had just moved into our new home and had been without a W/D for about a week. We ran our first couple of loads and discovered that our clothing was, especially dark colors, covered in white stains. We didnt know what it was so, we did a little research and found out it was most likely soap residue. So, we reduced the amount of soap we were using... and it still happened. We tried every setting available on the touch screen... clothes still came out covered in soap. We eventually called Whirlpool and had a technician come check it out. He ran his tests, said everything was fine, and to use only a teaspoon of soap for every full load of laundry. This didnt sound right to me but we tried it out... stains... still... and I noticed our whites were not getting cleaned very well at all. Sweat stains from undergarments were hardly touched during the wash cycle. After several more phone calls to Whirlpool, were having another technician come out. I just want Whirlpool to take this POS off of our hands and exchange it for something that works. A washing machine that actually washes would be nice.

We bought a top loaded Whirlpool washer, model WTW5000DW2 last May from Lowe’s for a summer beach cottage. It has been a terrible experience. There was a 30 day warranty from Lowe’s which unfortunately we missed because we had not moved down for the summer till after the 30 days. Working through Whirlpool, they sent an independent contractor out 5 times over the summer. Control panel was replaced twice. It never worked properly. I’m now back for the summer, and it still does not work. Do not buy this washer.

I bought a dual oven Whirlpool 2 years back. This range keeps breaking knobs that are such a poor quality. I have bought knobs from Whirlpool 7 times already then got PSEG home service and they are tired with the quality itself. Save your money and buy another make! Poor customer service and the worst experience is what I have gained on buying this make. Have old mother at home and this headache only created more issues to help her with cooking.

I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave (model WMH3205XVQ) on 9/27/10 and have replaced the door now for the second time due to the plastic cracking. I also discovered today that the plastic has again cracked on the vent grill and the control panel. The door, vent grill, and control panel were all replaced on 8/19/2011, under warranty. It appears to me that Whirlpool has a manufacturing defect which they need to address with the consumers who have purchased these products.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washing machine 2 years ago. Do not like it at all. Does not get my clothes clean. Pulls threads in my clothing. When I wash clothes on the normal cycle they are barely damp when the cycle is finished. When I use fabric softener it leaves blue spots on my clothes. I cannot afford to buy another washer so Im stuck with this one until it breaks. I would NOT buy another Whirlpool high-efficiency washing machine ever again.

I have a two-year-old top of the line Whirlpool Duet Steam washer. Cleaning performance is adequate at best, but my biggest complaint is about the visible mold buildup that collects on the water dispensing plate as well as on the detergent, bleach and softener dispenser and rubber lining of the washer opening. I have cleaned the removable detergent dispenser weekly since purchasing. The water dispensing plate has a continuous buildup of thick black mold that can only be removed with a tooth brush and bleach and only a small portion of those openings are reachable. I have cleaned the machine with Affresh as recommended and exactly as the manufacturer recommends. Nothing changes! I contacted Whirlpool and was told this was normal for all washers in which some moisture always remains and that I should continue to clean and leave the door and dispenser drawer open to allow the areas to air dry. So, I have done all of those things for the past year and nothing has changed! I received notification that a class action suit had been filed against Whirlpool for this mold issue but have not been contacted in any other way. Not only is this mold visibly disgusting but certainly is worrisome from a health perspective. When I contacted the company a second time, I was told there was nothing that could be done and it was in no way a design flaw on the part of Whirlpool.

They really dont make them like they use to, do they? This Whirlpool Cabrio aka Caprio has given us problems for the past 3 years, weve owned it for 5 years. It doesnt matter how much, or how little clothing you put in this washer machine. It will start going NUTS, Thudding, Banging against the inside of itself, completely out of whack, and then it will show a UL where the time is shown. Every time we do laundry this happens, and we have to stick our hands in the hot water and reorganize the clothes, and pull more and more clothes out till theres only about 3 items of clothing left! This washer is GARBAGE! I advise people to keep away from it. The washer we had in the past lasted us years upon years. These washers of now in days are Crap Garbage. Keep the fancy tech look, and give me the old fashion Knobs ANY DAY! Whirlpool brand is Not what it once was.

I would like for the public to be aware of an issue I have had with my Cabrio Whirlpool washer and the extended warranty service that Whirlpool sells to customers. My Cabrio washing machine is less than three years old and is an inferior product. The circuit board has gone out on my washer twice. Each time my washing machine breaks, it is out of service for three weeks and I have a family of four people. My washing machine broke down with a major circuit board failure for the second time in three years on January 23rd. I called the extended warranty department at Whirlpool and they sent an incompetent repairman to fix my washer. We are going into week 3 of listening to various stories on why it is taking three weeks to source getting a part overnighted to fix our washer. This man has ordered the wrong parts, says he cant come to us because of weather, cant get the parts, etc...I just got off of the phone with the warranty service after speaking with a supervisor and they tell me they cannot source another repairman and we still have to wait. My questions to corporate office at Whirlpool is how long do you have to wait to get a washer repaired and what type of product and extended warranty are you selling to the public? A very inferior washing machine and a very unhappy customer! I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance! BUYER BEWARE, THIS COMPANY HAS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! THIS IS MY SECOND GO-AROUND AND THE SECOND EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN IDENTICAL TO MY FIRST ONE - TERRIBLE!

I initially purchased all new Whirlpool products as part of my new home purchase in a Pulte subdivision, June, 2011. My WP microwave failed to heat in 2012 and the replacement of the Magnetron and Inverter and service was covered under warranty (would have cost me $493.51). Sadly, the microwave again failed to heat in 2014. I was so disgusted with this second failure, I decided to live without a MW until January, 2016 when I paid for my second service call and learned, once again, I needed a replacement Magnetron and Inverter, to the tune of $400. Both servicemen told me the 2011 magnetron/ inverter mechanisms were new technology and did not last long. Again, sadly, when I contacted Whirlpool, they would not admit to their defective product line and indicated they could do nothing since I am out of warranty. It is unconscionable that a corporation is not liable for their defective products.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator for my condo in February of 2012. During the past six months it started to freeze everything in the food compartment, and then during this past month the freezer started to slowly die. Ice cream became soup. After calling repair and examination it appears the fridge has basically died and it would have cost me over $500 to fix a $570 refrigerator. That type of lifespan is unacceptable. Before energy efficiency demands from the government, refrigerators lasted much longer. In the 50s, 60s, the refrigerator my parents owed lasted nearly 30 years. Am I expecting too much? Apparently so. I went out and purchased a Frigidaire this time. Hopefully, Ill get a few more years out of that one (Not happy).

I have owned this Whirlpool Cabrio machine and dryer for almost 5 years. It has been a nightmare. I am forever getting it fix. Now its the notorious LD light, not draining, and it has actually drained, and the company I bought it from does not repair them due to so many problems. Got a plumber to look at it and got it to work.. This is after the company came, charged me 130.00 to tell me they dont repair it. I bought this machine because it was large and I have a big family, energy saver (no, it did not save as much as they claimed) and uses less water. The dryer is wonderful. But the 1900.00 I paid for them was not worth the price. I now have to go up and down my cellar stairs 6 times per wash to stop it, shake the hose, and restart it. A load of laundry takes close to 3 hours due to starting it over. I am gonna buy a Maytag which I use to have and take this to the junkyard. Thanks a ton, Whirlpool and I read all comments and they are ALL true.

Eleven months after purchasing a Whirlpool refrigerator for our office lunch room it stopped working. While the refrigerator was still under warranty, I called Whirlpool for a service call. I was informed that the warranty is voided because the unit is located at a business and not a residential property. I explained to the customer service agent that there is no mention of this policy until after the appliance is purchased. After a considerable amount of time on the phone speaking with several supervisors, I was connected to a Resolution Specialist. She informed me that this policy is available online for consumers to view prior to purchasing Whirlpool appliances and it is the consumers Due Diligence to research warranty policies before purchasing. Consumers beware! Warranties are voided on all Whirlpool appliances that are located at a business address.

French Door model WRF989SEAE01 - Fridge runs very loud after 3 weeks. Ice build up inside of fridge - back left. After numerous repairs, dealer replaced unit with new. Three weeks, loud noise again. After 7 months, the ice maker has quit, the freezer is thawing items, the fridge part is not cold enough (all settings have been boosted). Now Im concerned it is going to completely fail or burn our new house down. All new Whirlpool appliances in new home and this thing is proving to be extremely unreliable. Dealer is now out of loop (gave up) and told us to deal directly with Whirlpool. After 2 units and same issues, it has to be a design flaw. Can anyone start to move on a class action lawsuit or do I wait until it blows up or burns down the house? The worst washing machine ever. First off you cannot turn the water on to let it fill and add clothes as its filling. Secondly the Normal setting will not allow you to spin on low, your choice is high or no spin. High tangles your pants, slacks, shirts, etc. No spin leaves them soaking wet. Also its a water safer but never, never, never covers the clothes in water, and sometimes they dont come out smelling so clean. I dont save water if I have to rewash two or three times. Absolutely hate this washing machine. When I get enough money I am going back to the old agitator model and not any Whirlpool either. We recently bought a home and our dishwasher came with the home.
