Whirlpool Cabrio washer - I had all the same problems as all the 900 others on this site. After 7 months, it died. The factory repairman told me it needed a new transmission and motor. I returned it to Costco for a full refund and did a lot of research and bought a Speed Queen. It has no computer. It’s just an old-school washer that cleans, and best of all, it’s made in the USA with a 10-year warranty.

We had a Whirlpool washing machine 650s, fully automatic on 28.07.2011 at M/s. Next Showroom Reference bill number 910, Sr no INF **. We had attended, 2 times, a problem with the digital board. After advice from your Whirlpool service person, we had fixed it cutout (make whirlpool), but now, its the same fault with the digital board. Kindly take further action regarding this same problem and sort this out immediately without any further reminder.

Have had this washer for one year. Clothes have never been clean since day one. Dark clothes come out with white marks all over. Having to use an extra rinse cycle or set on bulky items - whats the point of a high efficiency appliance? Still not clean after that anyways. Stains such as chocolate and toothpaste still remain after washing and my husband complains of finding small holes in his clothes. Lid needs to be left open at all times or you get a funky smell. I am using the HE liquid detergent, even tried a cold water product for cold washes. I hate this washer. Wish I had my 20 year old Kenmore still.

It works great, it looks great. I been having for many years, and never gave me any problems. I do love nice microwaves and Whirlpool is a great. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested.

I have bought and used other dishwashers (different brands). They lacked quality, quiet operation and efficiently and effectively cleaning dishes, pots and silverware! My Whirlpool dishwasher is far better than all of them. It cleans and makes my dishes sparkle. I would not buy anything but Whirlpool in the future.

The washer and dryer, Cabrio, machines are not even 4 years old and Ive had to repair four different things! Literally just replaced idler pulley today, went to put a load in wash and F1 code appeared. Control panel, 350.00 for whirlpool or a technician to repair! 285.00 for part. I called Whirlpool and was not offered any apology. Never again will I purchase Whirlpool crap appliances!

Having a Whirlpool gas water heater for less than 2 years and having a 6 year warranty one would think you are safe to believe this large company will treat you as well as you treated them when buying their product. Think again. No one is allowed or has the authority to issue credit for failed parts, you cant return the product to place of purchase, you are hung out to dry. Whirlpool, I will never buy nor recommend any product you create or sell. I will make it a point to anyone having a conversation about your products just how youre untrained, read by the manual uninformed technicians really are. I will explain just how over inflated your prices are for such cheap engineered to fail products are. Have a nice day.

Regarding a Whirlpool Refrigerator (model ET8CHMXKQ04) purchased in 05. I dont remember exactly when the problem began but the freezer starts its defrost cycle, water drips down through the refrigerator compartment (soaking all paper/cardboard covered products), collects under the crisper trays and eventually spills out onto the floor. Its a river of water that requires a towel to collect.I believe whats missing is some sort of collection funnel and tube that catches this dripping water and delivers it to the evaporation tray behind the base cover plate under the refrigerator. Obviously, Whirlpool has no quality control nor does it do any field tests to ensure their products are designed and operate properly.

I had purchased a microwave oven on 18 April 11 and they delivered it to me without accessories. As I was a first time user, I didnt have any idea that the accessories are available with the oven. However, when I came to know after 5 months, I asked them about it and they did not respond to me properly. Even when a Whirlpool engineer visited my residence, he did not ask for the accessories for the demo purpose.The warranty paper has not been filled out by the dealer or the engineer; it is still blank. I tried to put a complaint through the customer care number but they did not respond to me properly.

Purchased a Whirlpool hot water tank from Lowes 5/12 and have had NOTHING but problems with it since day 2. The tank I replaced was around 20 years old, never a drip, never a problem, it just finally rusted through.. Well this piece of JUNK I had installed is just that JUNK.. I have been in contact with this company many times, they ALWAYS have a new story. I replaced my old thermal expansion tank 3 months after buying this JUNK because I was told it could be that. Well that didnt fix anything and cost me $60.00, then it was pressure relief valve, ok, another $20.00, nope not that. Well back on the phone and emailing this company, now they tell me I am not vented correctly, because with all the repairs being done on this tank, my Son noticed the top plastic pieces melting. Well back on the phone I go, and of course Whirlpool tells me, its me again.. Had piles going into my chimney replaced, no help, replaced thermal expansion tank again, no help, replaced pressure relief valve, no help. So sick of cleaning up water I want to throw up. Well I now know why they say, do not return to store where you purchased it, because it is bad business to have Lowes parking lot, looking like a Whirlpool graveyard for their product. .

Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine model WFW9150WW02 - This machine was purchased new in Sept. 2011 along with a brand new dryer. We started noticing a rumbling sound within the first year, but both machines did a fantastic job on the laundry. Then last week, the washing machine didnt spin out a load of laundry. We called the company and they scheduled a service visit through A&E Factory Service. The technician immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing and said that he had seen the problem frequently with this model and put it down to a design defect. The bearing is housed in a stainless sheath protected by a rubber seal, but the seal lets water in, which rusts the bearing. The cost to repair it was over $700. He suggested I call WP and ask for a concession, whereby the company would at least pick up all or part of the cost of parts. The service representative summarily dismissed the request, saying the company had no obligation to stand behind the product as the machine was out of warranty. I said that this was unacceptable. She was pleasant, but kept asking questions and putting me on hold. Ultimately, she said the same thing. Whirlpool was once a dependable name, no more.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model #wrt1litzyv along with the extended warranty from Lowes. The compressor stopped working just before the warranty was to expire and had to be replaced. The cost of repairs almost equaled the price of the refrigerator and took nearly 2 months for the reimbursement check to arrive. I had to call several times. They told me they hadnt received the paperwork even though I sent it registered mail and it was signed for and I had to resend it. Now, less than 4 months later, the refrigerator is again not working properly. Freezer is not freezing properly. Takes 2 days to freeze ice. This is the absolutely worst refrigerator Ive ever had. My last refrigerator lasted 20 years. This one is only 3 years old and of course, the warranty is now expired. I will never buy another Whirlpool product. And I will never buy a major appliance from Lowes either since they play games with the warranties. And after the refrigerator was repaired, Whirlpool tried to sell me another extended warranty. They wanted $308.60 for a 3-year warranty. Ridiculous that they dont stand behind their products. And try to sell more warranties instead of just manufacturing a good product.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio washer, model #WTW6340WW0, and dryer unit 2 1/2 years ago. We did our research online; Consumer Reports got great reviews everywhere. We went to Lowes and was told that this set (washer/dryer) was the top of the line in top load washers, so we purchased it. Now 2 1/2 years later, our washer is out of service, bad power board is the suspect and maybe the pump. I have heard that there may be a class action lawsuit coming down the pipe against Whirlpool and would like to know more info if it is. We paid nearly $1,000.00 for the washer and like other complaints, we were led to believe that we would get 10-14 years service out of the unit. But that did not happen. I think Whirlpool, Consumer Reports and Lowes should all be held accountable for misrepresentation. I can assure you that all of their executives received attractive bonuses for misleading the consumer. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone, Consumer Reports nor Lowes.

I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine in 2010. I hate it 100%. I have never used bleach in the machine. I use liquid detergent only. 2 things happen every day: #1: When I wash a load of colors, I take them out when complete and there is dry white powder like substance over the black clothes. It looks dirty but it just got washed. #2 About once a week, I will pull something out of the washer and there is a bleach spot on it. The last item that this happened to was a $200 sweater. It went in the garbage. This should never of happened with an $800 washing machine.

Purchased a Whirlpool washer/dryer pair @ least 5 years ago. Great machines. Washer washes very clean. My only beef is that once the cycle starts I cannot open the lid. Dryer will dry almost anything in 10 minutes or less.

I bought these products 2 1/2 years ago along with a dishwasher and Microwave, all which are Gold Series. The first month my Microwave broke. Instead of a certain part that they used to use, they now use a Capacitor instead and it broke. The repairman fixed it under warranty, but told me Ill be seeing you again. Then, my oven occasionally says Function not available. Whirlpool wont tell me what the problem might be and they have nothing for troubleshooting this problem in their manual. My only solution is to reset the circuit breaker and then it works for awhile. Now, My refrigerator has ice building up at the bottom of my freezer and leaking all over my floor. I found a Whirlpool bulletin online which explains that this problem is because of a defective part (Grommet) and that they have a replacement part for it and you can get it by calling their customer service department. Why didnt they send out recall notices to their customers?So, on 8/10/2015 and 8/11/2015 I tried getting this new p-trap part, but for two days now Whirlpools computers arent working and they have no other way of looking this stuff up. Very poor customer service and I also waited for a half hour on the phone to be told their computers arent working. How about putting a message on their pre-recorded message letting customers know their computers arent working?

Everything Whirlpool that I buy is junk these days! Whirlpool used to be one of the best brands, now, cheap China GARBAGE! My dishwasher will not fill enough to clean the dishes without setting it on pots and pans. Then it runs for hours and uses a ton of electricity! I tested the water fill cut off, after it fills it is not even close to lifting it and the switch works fine. I returned the Whirlpool dehumidifier I bought recently, it was junk as well!

Bought it May 2019 and till now 3 times it failed and every time it takes 3 weeks to fix. As someone mentioned the Technician never sent with the possible parts and it takes another week to get the part. Whirlpool refuses to replace the bad product. I will never recommend this product to anyone whom I know want to buy a washer.

I bought a Whirlpool duet washer and dryer. These appliances are still under one-year warrantee. My washing machine was broken for four weeks, and they have been unable to receive all of the parts needed to repair it. They have made three appointments to fix the machine, telling me that they have the parts and only to cancel the appointment the night before. I have tried to get Pacific Sales to exchange the broken machine, but they will not do that or compensate in any way. This is a top of the line model; I would have been better off with a low-priced model, and I might actually have a machine that worked. Whirlpool supposedly had the parts on back order, which is not what Whirlpool informed me when I was able to reach them.

Bought a Whirlpool dishwasher approx. 3 years ago from Home Depot and it just quit working. Troubleshooting did nothing. Called Whirlpool to make sure there was no recalls on it. I have owned many Whirlpool appliances and bought this last one because of past good experience. Turns out, after $300 plus repair, it was the control panel. The repairman said, This should not have happened, it is like new. I asked him if he thought it was a lemon? He just looked down, it happens. I am so disappointed in the quality of Whirlpool. I no longer can just buy their products with confidence.

My elderly mother purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine in 2013 (Model Number WTW8600YW1). It never filled properly with water. It evolved to a sensor and circuit board issue that Whirlpool never totally remedied. Hence, the machine never worked properly. This 800 dollar purchase on an elderly persons limited budget had to be utilized minimally. Now fast forward in 2015, even with minimal usage and white glove handling, the machine is displaying an F51 error. You guessed it, Whirlpool will not remedy the issue, although it is well-documented to be a widespread complaint hence clearly a product defect. Shame on Whirlpool, their business practices, and what amounts to theft of an elderly womans finite income. I have advised my mother to trash the useless Whirlpool appliance and purchase a Kenmore washing machine, of which I have been the proud owner for 10 years, doing laundry for a family of 5.

Have an old Estate by Whirlpool, still going, no problems, washes well. I can control the wash by adding more water, stopping it and restarting it. There is nothing like the old washing machines. I have seen and used the latest and greatest, but they cannot compete.

We bought a new oven/range in April 2019. December 7th 2019 it stopped working. No power at all. We contacted Whirlpool about our unit as it was still under the year warranty. They contacted their local repair company. 3 times they have said they were coming out to fix it and they had the part. Three times they have told us never mind. They didnt have the part and would have to come later. Most recent update, they wont get the part until the 20th and wont make it out until the 23rd. That is over 2 weeks after our unit broke and it is the holidays and we will have family visiting. We have tried to get answers about what is really going on and we keep being told they cant help us or give us any answers. So frustrated. You can bet I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again!

Hello. We bought this refrigerator from Costco, so we can have extended one year warranty for the appliance. When we need this then we are not getting help. Our Fridge is not working from last couple of weeks. Technician came a day late to see the fridge, then order the part on the 01/03/2017, I didnt hear back from service provider till 01/11/2017. Finally I got a callback after spend an hour on the phone saying that it will take one more week. I had to call Whirlpool to expedite service and because of weekend I have to wait another 4 days to get the part.There are 7 people living in my house including 2 yr old. We are having hard time with the food and waste of food. We probably throw away $200 worth of food. And spending money every single day on food. I have to buy every other day for my 2 yr old. Whenever I tried to call for compensation, I get transferred to different department. I am so tired with this kind of service. I would never buy any appliance from Costco or Never refer to anyone. Very very bad service.

I purchased a brand-new, $4600 36 gas range online. They finally installed all appliances by 10:30 pm last Friday, July 8, 2011. On Saturday, July 9, 2011, I woke at 2 am to weird smell (gas). I opened all the windows and went back to bed not sure since we never had gas before. Gas company came out that day and determined that the burners were bypassing gas. Jenn-Air said it was normal for some gas to come out and that they have sent the repair technician out three times to not find any leaks. The gas company red-tagged the stove saying it was hazardous. Jenn-Air has terrible customer service. I was on the phone Monday to Friday this week, every day talking with safety managers to supervisors with no results. This will be the LAST Jenn-Air purchase EVER!

I purchased a refrigerator from this company Model #WRF989DAM. It worked for only 14 months. I had service people come 4 times to try and fix it, called customer service and was suppose to get a replacement, paid $300.00 for a different model, been 49 days and still have no refrigerator in my home. Had to go out and buy my own replacement. I have called and sent emails with no response of when I would be getting the replacement.

I bought a brand new KitchenAid stainless steel refrigerator for close to $3,000.00. It has a big crack in the back casing which Im sure is affecting the seal. It is still under manufacturers warranty. Whirlpool sent out a technician to put a yellowish plastic epoxy to seal the crack. When I told him that this was unacceptable as it dries yellowish and has a dull finish he explained that that was all Whirlpool was willing to do.I have been dealing with Whirlpool for 4 weeks now and they refuse to repair the crack and they deny any manufacturing defect. I have sent them pictures of the crack and they still refuse to resolve this issue. Very bad, horrible experience with customer service, long waits on the phone, rude and ineffective employees. This CLEARLY is a company that will not stand by their product and I recommend everyone to CLEARLY stay away from purchasing any Whirlpool products. They will be paying a lot of money for very poorly manufactured products.Please, please, do not purchase Whirlpool products! You will be happier spending money on a company that values you as a customer before and after the sale. Obviously Whirlpool would rather forget you after they have sold you their product and have their money. Thank you for reading this. I purchased a brand new washing machine and had service come to repair the machine approximately five times within the first year. Every time the machine was repaired, it was for different reasons. I contacted the main office and spoke to a woman named Sherry who is a supervisor and she was very nasty. This is a brand new machine and I feel that it should be replaced with a new one. Sherry said that there was nothing she can do for me. Is there a lemon law for appliances? The machine is used for my son and me only. I have all appliances in my house by General Electric and this is my first and last experience with Whirlpool.

Microwave Hood Combination...moisture sensor failed...potato caught on fire. Service company Whirlpool sent failed to show (Whirlpool selected a repair shop over 100 miles away). 2nd service company told me sensor failed and they would return with new part (ignoring the fact the white microwave was not gray and black) in a few days. If I wanted a new microwave without the dust and ash, I had to call Whirlpool. Whirlpool is ALWAYS experiencing a high volume of calls.Whirlpool states 7 - 14 days (unit on back order of course) for the microwave will arrive. 21 days later..no microwave. More high volume of calls... Whirpool state a repair center has received the microwave on July 31st and should have called me. Said repair center has no record of this transaction. Whirlpool reps claim to have records of my claim...but... they keep asking did we tell you it had been handled? I say read my file... Customer rep says my file is hard to understand (i.e. it is long). But they assure me they are empowered to help me. Maybe they should look up that word.Today...it is not Whirlpool customer service fault! No... It is being handled by a Product Replacement Specialist... Sadly they cannot provide me with any contact info for that Specialist. Empowered but not informed! Lesson: Whirlpool dont buy or if you do... and it catches on fire...just buy a new one... They make it impossible to get a replacement.

The Whirpool refrigerator does exactly what its intended to do. It has no ice maker or water dispenser and thats just what I needed. But the plastic produce drawers do have some cracks because the quality of the plastic is not the best.

Eleven months after purchasing a Whirlpool refrigerator for our office lunch room it stopped working. While the refrigerator was still under warranty, I called Whirlpool for a service call. I was informed that the warranty is voided because the unit is located at a business and not a residential property. I explained to the customer service agent that there is no mention of this policy until after the appliance is purchased. After a considerable amount of time on the phone speaking with several supervisors, I was connected to a Resolution Specialist. She informed me that this policy is available online for consumers to view prior to purchasing Whirlpool appliances and it is the consumers Due Diligence to research warranty policies before purchasing. Consumers beware! Warranties are voided on all Whirlpool appliances that are located at a business address.

In 2007 our Whirlpool 30 gallon gas water heater began to have issues. Serial number 0425126675, Model Number FG1F3030T3NOV. The pilot light kept going out and would not stay lit.. After several times with replacement parts being sent with the same thing happening, finally in 2010 they replaced the water heater. A new water heater was professionally put in, serial number 1023T412357 Model number BFG1F3030T3noHV.I am having the exact same issue and I was told that the warranty was null and void on the new water heater because it was a replacement. They replaced a defective water heater with a defective water heater. I called the number given to me by Lowes 1/877/817/6750. I spoke with Nichole. I told her that I should not have to pay for replacement parts for a defective water heater. I told her that I was never informed that there would not be a warranty. I live on a fixed income and cannot afford to buy another water heater because I was given a defective water heater in replacement for a defective water heater. I became angry stating, Thanks for nothing and I hung up. So many people have the same problem with these water heaters that something MUST be done.

My stove is good, I have gone through 2 refrigerators in less than 8 years and the replacement is having issues. Service is a joke, customer service is questionable but trying to assist but at this point will not recommend whirlpool products.

I purchased a top load Whirlpool washer from Lowes 2-8-12. It got so it wouldnt rinse. When it came to that cycle, it just skipped it and went directly to spin. I dont know how long it was doing this before I caught it. A repairman came out said I would need the equivalent of a motherboard that would cost $330.00. Needless to say, couldnt afford that amount for repair. So I purchased a very nice used Amana for $100.00. I always thought Whirlpool was a top of the line product. This has changed my mind. If it wont last any longer than 5 years I dont want it. There are just the two of us and we are retired so the machine was not overused. I am so disappointed and angry about this.

Purchased a black Whirlpool refrigerator, Gold Series, Model GB2FHDX WB 22 cu ft. with bottom freezer from hhgregg. Within one month I had water on my floor, ice buildup on bottom freezer floor. I had previously reviewed fridge and noise was a concern but I thought I could live with that. I contacted hhgregg. They would do NOTHING, told me to contact Whirlpool. The 1st repairman said it was the ice-maker. I DO NOT have an ice maker. He fixed a duckbill. 2nd call 6 months later, same problem with water, serviceman replaced duckbill. Next year, 2011 same problem with water on floor and ice buildup on freezer bottom floor. After numerous repairmen I contacted Corporate Office of Whirlpool. They sent another repairman at their expense. We are now 6 years later and I am having the same problem. Dont buy a Whirlpool Gold & dont buy from hhgregg.

We our adding our name to a list that is remarkably long. We purchased a top loading Cabrio washing machine just over a year ago and the problems with the balancing of the unit are the same as everyone else who has written in. The service company A&E has promised a lot but has done little to resolve the issues we have had with the machine. One representative told us that she would order the part and have it sent to our home. When the part did not arrive, we called A&E back only to find out it was never ordered because the service technician would not return their phone calls. I find this excuse ridiculous and similar to other false statements they have given us on the other four phone calls made to address the problem. After reading these reviews, we realize that this is only the beginning of what will be a frustrating and costly experience. Never again will we buy a Whirlpool!

My Whirlpool Microwave was installed in my new home by the builder. As write this, my microwave is 1 year 2 months old. Just out of warranty. On this day first the turntable wouldnt stop turning with the door open or closed. One hour after this event, the interior light would not turn off. On half hour after this event...the microwave died.

Bought this machine at Lowes as it was recommended by the salesperson. The machine broke down in 2 months due to a control module. Besides that, the clothes do not get clean! They come out with all the stains still on them. The water does not even get the clothes wet! And they smell. Called Whirlpool up and they sent out tech 2x and said there was nothing wrong. Went back to Lowes and they will not honor my claim to replace the unit. I now have to purchase a new machine since this one is useless. Never will I buy a Whirlpool again and dont you either!!!

I have always had Whirlpool Everything - not anymore!!!! I purchased a water saver washer that I am very unhappy with - it does not get the clothes clean. I have to put it on an extra rinse (water saver?) to get the soap out. I use the Tide for HE washers. I cannot wash a large load in it - directions say I can. Anything too heavy or bulky will not spin out well. Will bounce all over the place. From now on I will switch to another brand. They push so hard to buy a warranty because they know you will have trouble! Should have read the reviews!!

I purchased this refrigerator, approximately 3 yrs. ago. Right away the top crisper broke. I have put up with this broken crisper only to have broken the PLASTIC lips that hold the crisper to the top shelf. Piece of junk. I looked to order a new crisper but way to expensive so I just suffered thru. I cant even use it anymore as I cannot open or close it without it falling onto the bottom crisper. Would like to throw the thing out, but cannot afford another one. IT WILL NOT BE A WHIRLPOOL!!!

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Model # WRF990SLAM00 in May of 2013. My wife started noticing ice build up on the ice maker in the refrigerator section of this French Door model. We had it serviced for the same problem 4 times and the problem still existed. At this point, Whirlpool offer to give us our money back, and here is where things got interesting. My wife spoke with a Sheila who was to issue a check to a third party company who would then pick up the refrigerator and give us the check. Sounds simple enough, huh? The company was to get the check in 7-10 business days so we bought a new refrigerator, a Samsung this time, and scheduled its delivery for the time frame we were told the non-functioning fridge would be picked up. My wife could not get in touch with Sheila, which was always a problem, and we talked to a Beth who told us that this whole process had not even been started yet. Well, we are having our new fridge delivered and still waiting on our check and for someone to come and pick up this American-made piece of crap! We wanted to buy American, but this is what we got, a piece of crap!!

I chose this dishwasher with stainless steel exterior to match other appliances in the kitchen. It functions very well and has for years. Very easy to keep clean. The interior shows no wear and the racks provided make it easy to arrange the dishes and silverware.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator, model # ED2FHAX005, serial #SW1126490, two years ago. I have nothing but trouble with the ice maker. It keeps jamming up with frozen cube. While under warranty, I had it fixed but since then, it has happened twice more. The repairman who fixed it said there was a part missing and a part of the unit was melted. Not only that, but the plastic is coming off on the handle. Nobody at Whirlpool will help me. Too bad, there is no warranty anymore. This refrigerator is a lemon. I am so sorry that I purchased it.

This refrigerator is only days old and I realize the mistake that was made in buying it- it is far too noisy! When it is running I can hear it in my basement- sounds like a car in my driveway idling with no muffler!!! And when it stops running, it gurgles loudly for 10-15 seconds. Dont even start on the door being hard to pull open after the door was recently opened.

We bought this refrigerator because it was the only panel ready one we could find. When it was delivered the two doors did not line up. There was an adjustment that could be made but it required that Whirlpool had to do it. We made an appointment and was told it would cost $179 for the adjustment!! This for a refrigerator we had just purchased for several thousand dollars. The service person showed up and after working on the refrigerator he could not balance the doors. He blamed it on uneven floor, misaligned cabinets – anything he could say to shift the blame from Whirlpool. We called and complained again. They sent out another service person. He was just as useless as the first one. Told us to even out the doors we would need to shim the refrigerator which he would not do. Complained to Whirlpool with no results. Finally hired someone not affiliated with Whirlpool who was able to get the doors to be aligned. Never Never buy a Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid Appliance. They do not stand behind their products and do not care about their customers!!

Whirlpool Cabrio drain problem - I never had a washing machine that lets so much through to the drain pump. I replaced pump three times already. First of all, if you put anything with buttons in this machine, you can kiss it goodbye. This machine destroys clothes then lets buttons and coins and whatever through to destroy the fins on the discharge pump. When is the BBB going to do something about this consumer ripoff?

I paid for an extended warranty. Dishwasher not functioning properly- it stops mid-cycle. Had a tech out twice who insisted nothing was wrong. Extended Warranty customer service refused to honor my claim. Will never buy another Whirlpool product again. And buy an extended warranty! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I called and emailed Whirlpool because the water dispenser drips all over the front of the fridge and floor. They had the nerve to tell me to use a cup for the problem and there was nothing they could do. They were no help with this problem.

I bought it on 11-24 13. I called Whirlpool on 1-29-13 and got no response. I called 3 or 4 times and still havent heard from them. Its now 4-1-13 and still nothing. I tried many times and got the runaround from them. They owe me money for repairs to the heater. I will not ever buy from them again. Just thought you all should know about this.

The refrigerator I have is 3 years old and the service tech will be at my house on Thursday to put the third comp. in it. I have lost all my food 2 times. Times are hard. I would like to talk to a person not a machine.

Even with the hottest water on the most heavy duty setting, regular dinner plates are not cleaned. The flatware holders that are set in the door (instead of free-standing in a rack) do not have adequate holes in the holders and are too far away from the limited jets to get adequate soap and water to cleanse the flatware. Even after rinsing all scraps off the plates and flatware, we find bits of food, gravy, or smudges on the plates and flatware - since its first usage. The manufacturer had the audacity to claim that was normal. Settings include delayed starting, heavy duty versus normal washing, and different types of drying. The heavy duty washing is definitely poor quality, and there seems to be no difference between any of the drying settings. The delayed start is nice. The physical layout of the prongs on the racks and the folding racks do not allow easy fit for most sizes of pots plus plates on the same bottom rack. I cannot put a 1 gallon pot level on the same rack as dinner plates. I must put it beside salad plates. Only small sauce pans fit neatly or cleanly beside dinner plates. Yet the external dimensions of this dishwasher are the same as the competitors standard size. Looks neat and is easy to clean. Also, the exterior does not show scratches. Actually, I cannot see where the exterior has any scratches. The service people were very little help. The Warranty said that after five (5) service calls the unit would be replaced. We made six (6) service calls, but we were told that we did NOT have six because if you called again within 90 days of a call, that was considered the same service call. That requires 450 days minimum to have five (5) qualified service calls, but that warranty was good for only 365 days!

Whirlpool built in Electric oven Self Cleaning Model # GBS307. Dont Clean your oven! Everytime you clean the oven, the thermal fuse switch will burn up on you and will cost approximately $150.00 to fix. Dont use the self cleaning on this oven!

Whirlpool Duet 2009 Model WFW9400SW02 - Worst experience ever with a new Whirlpool front Load washing machine. It broke down with error codes F28, F70, F71 13th month just after warranty and was leaking water. Bought 1 yr 153.00 Whirlpool extended warranty. Many reviews in internet have same complaint. Immediately had it repaired after waiting my 60 days to use warranty, but did not work after the door latch switch and one of 3 main circuit boards was replaced which was over $600.00. That was 2 visits. Fired them and had warranty company send different repair Co. They came twice with a cost of $840.00 and worked for 30 days and then had no power. 3rd repair company came out and wanted $350.00 to order part. I was offered $1195.00 cash or $1499.00 replacement top of line Whirlpool WFL98HEBU. Nice! But only 1 year warranty and I had to pay 200.00 shipping. I decided to take the money since I did not want to risk the break down on the new washer. The reviews on the new washer were not favorable with break down as the main complaint. 4 repairs in 1 year is lemon law on my warranty. My repairs were 4 in 45 days.

I purchased my water heater at Lowes and had it installed professionally. I suspected something was not quite right on numerous occasions because the hot water recovery time seemed excessive. I finally called Whirlpool and they gave me the names and numbers of two companies that were on their list. The first asked for the model number and normal information and never called back. The second showed up spent five minutes charged me 78 dollars and said they could not get the part (gas valve) I needed. And if I could get it from Whirlpool they would charge me 250 to put it on. They also said Whirlpool made horrible water heaters and I should save myself the trouble and just replace it. I have since heard from additional plumbers and the gas company to stay away from Whirlpool. I did have the water heater replaced. When they did it and they drained the old water heater it had so much sludge in it draining it was very difficult. The sludge is mystery since I have a softener in my home and it should have prevented that. The individual from that gas company said that was just one of the many issue others had experienced with these heaters.

Amongst all other items listed in these reviews (especially the tangling and twisting of clothes literally into knots), my guess is that is one way to ensure they are drier when they come out, wring them into knots... So now the pizza is slinging grease/oil all over the floor and water is leaking out from the bottom as well to make a perfect conglomeration of ** all over my tile. There is always more than one way to take care of the employees, hire sales people full of **, and technicians who know what the hell to do to fix it, with previous full of ** sales experience so consumers can buy more Whirlpool parts...

Dont buy. Purchased over the range microwave. Service order less than a week after install. Heats unevenly. Burns center of bacon consistently without fully cooking ends. Popcorn pops half the kernels yet Whirlpool says nothing wrong with product. Well within 1 year warranty but had to pay for service call cause Whirlpool determined microwave was operating as manufactured. Laughable! This company does not stand behind their product or their customers. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product.

Im 70 years old and always bought Whirlpool washing machines. My last one I bought at Lowes and it is the most Ive ever paid for a washer and its the worst Ive ever owned! Dont waste your money! Hard to get clothes balanced and it slams and bams like the old 1970 washing machines! Horrible!!!

This microwave oven has worked well now for about six months and overall we have no complaints. My only complaint is that it has a cheap feel to it, especially when the door is closed...it creates a rattle type hollow noise....it just does not sound like it is well made. Time will tell I guess. The unit works well and heats fairly evenly. The cook options are plentiful but we rarely use most of them as we are usually merely re-heating food or coffee. The defrost cycle does work well for us.We purchased this microwave oven as well as a Whirlpool Range and Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator at the same time from a small Home Depot. Whereas that store had the microwave on display it did not have the other two on display and therefore we purchased them sight unseen....a BAD, BAD mistake. I have reviews for those two so I will say no more about them here. Thus, overall, we are very pleased with this Whirlpool Microwave Oven and would recommend it.

I am very unhappy with this Whirlpool refrigerator model# GX5FHDXVQ 04. I bought this model in October 2011. You have to push the left door to close it and if you dont then the fridge will stay open. I had a Whirlpool tech come to fix this door problem so this is what he told me: 1) You have to push the door in order to close it properly; 2) Before closing the left door, I should first open the right door (losing energy); 3) The gasket will break very fast; 4) Buy a three-year protection plan because you will have to use it; 5) The freezer is very uncomfortable. In the bottom drawer, you have to fit your stuff. If you put your freezer stuff in a drop higher, then you cant close the drawer, so I am losing space; 6) Sometimes when I fill up the fridge, I move the temperature to #5. After a day, the top shelf back stuff will freeze and the front stuff will stay on fridge temperature. Yesterday, 4-18-2012, for the second time, the freezer gets a sheet of ice. Repairman will repair it but who knows. This fridge looks to me like a lemon. The height is 70 but listed as. I rate this fridge with a CCC.

I purchased this model 2 years ago. I absolutely hate the fact that there is not enough water dispensed to clean my clothes. Part of my clothes dont even get wet, therefore, I have to press pause and add 2 to 3 gallons of water during the wash and rinse cycles. I do like the spin cycle as long as it does not get unbalanced.Wished I had never purchased it.

Bought a model wdt730pahz in Nov 2017. Up until recently it ran fine and we were very happy. Some folks have reported that the soap dispenser door gets stuck. Same here. In our case we found, when using those detergent pods, to make sure that they are pushed all the way into the dispenser before you close the lid, or the lid jams. Other than that, the dishwasher got the dishes nice and clean. However, after just two years of using it maybe 3 times a week (there are only 2 of us) the motor died. Youd think a new motor ought to survive at least 500 cycles. Anyway, parts and labor was quoted at nearly $400. Debating whether to fix or replace the dishwasher. Might try ordering a motor and pump and replacing it myself.

Our Whirlpool dryer broke less than 3 months after we bought it. We called Whirlpool and spent more than 2 hours on the phone. They sent someone out and that person told us he couldnt fix the part that was broken. He gave us a phone number to call and we called and spent another hour on the phone after which we were told to call Whirlpool back. We called them on 3 separate days and spent hours on the phone trying to contact real people. After another week (during which time the dryer went out of warranty) we had to call someone to fix it. After that we spend a month calling and emailing Whirlpool to get reimbursed for the almost $400 we spent fixing it. No luck. We were told that it was out of warranty and we didnt use a Whirlpool technician. I was hung up on, given the runaround through phone menus, continually told it wasnt the correct department, and finally that Whirlpool doesnt cover it. Bottom line is...never buy Whirlpool.

Overall the stove works well but it is horrible to clean. You have to use a lot of muscle to get the spills up from around the burners. It is hard to get around the burners to get all the spots off. The gas burners work well & cook evenly.

In 2009 I bought 2 (yes 2) machines (one was for our daughter). I also took out 5 year warranties on both (good job I did). Within the first month on our machine the paddles flew off and after a bit of a debate with the insurers we had another machine (same model). Within a short period from date of purchase both machines had a number of faults - circuit boards, weights that came loose! and bearings going. There are other bits but too extensive to list. To be fair to the insurers they were no trouble (it really is the inconvenience of being without a washer and having to schedule time to get it sorted out). I will never ever buy a Whirlpool as all of these (3 in total) have been a nightmare and ours is sounding noisy again (it only had a new drum 12 months ago for bearings - yes you need a new drum for that £200 in all!!) so I am really glad that we have the insurance. When that runs out and the machine is dead (whichever comes first) I think we will will be buying either a Beko or a Samsung that are getting really high ratings. Anyone reading this might wonder why did we buy these in the first place. Well a colleague of mine at work had one and said it was fantastic (she had children so used hers a lot) hence me buying them (and they were not cheap by any means, so thought we were getting a cracking pair of machines....cracking, yes they might as well be as a chocolate fireguard has more reliability...WARNING DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE - IT COULD DAMAGE YOUR SANITY! Nice looking, prices very fair for quality product. Options are always good. My mom used Whirlpool. That thing that goes in the middle of the old time washer is now gone. That thing would rip or stretch out clothing bras. Anything that was nice it would make it look horrible. Ive had my washer and dryer for 6 years and they still work like new. When shopping for a washer and dryer I do look for capacity, energy efficient and the brand. I prefer to stick to the old school brands just like my mother did. I must admit that I do love the fact that it is an HD high efficiency washer. The deal-breaker would be a low quality construction made a washer or dryer nobody needs to have problems with it. If youre spending that type of money you need to get good quality items.I love my washer and dryer. Theyre both and white color. Its a Whirlpool Cabrio with HD High efficient load energy saver and H2 wash system. The washer has a lid with a see-through glass which I love. My dryer is also a Whirlpool Cabrio steam with a resource saver that gives me a lot of different options as far as my clothing is concerned on how I need it dry.

I have a portable dishwasher. It does not dry the dishes when cycle is completed. I have to either leave the door open or take them out and towel dry them.

We purchased a top loading Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, Model #WTW8040DWO from Lowe’s on October 15, 2015. Since that time, we have had a service call on three separate occasions. The last service call, the service technician got Whirlpool on the phone with their technician. The washing machine would get stuck at 40 minutes and would continue to fill with water, drain and fill with water and would never progress.After the service technician talked with Whirlpool technician, it was explained the machines electronics were so sensitive that the washing machine had to be on an independent CIRCUIT (meaning absolutely nothing else can be plugged into the circuit). We contacted Whirlpool indicating that was not acceptable. Very few, if any houses, have a washing machine on an independent CIRCUIT. Whirlpools response - I have an independent circuit for every appliance in the house. Obviously, she does not know what a circuit is. Totally disgusted. Will NEVER buy another whirlpool product again. Horrible product and horrible customer service.

We purchased the WRX988SIBM00, delivered 6-26-14. Immediately upon plugging it in, we noticed a seemingly loud hum to it. Thought maybe it would go away once the fridge cooled off, but the hum continues. SO sad because I love the features.

Purchased a Whirlpool WTW7800XW a year and a half ago. The left top of the washers glass pops up, making it impossible to use the washer unless I weigh it down. Apparently a screw has popped out to hold the glass in place. Whirlpool used to make a decent product, but thought I should pay them $129 for their time, just to come out and then an additional part fee. How about the 30 minutes I spent on the phone with no satisfaction. My time is also valuable. I gave them the choice to come out and replace the screw (which shouldnt have fallen out in the first place) or lose a customer. Fortunately, I have a husband that can repair it, but I am extremely disappointed that Whirlpool is now making substandard products. We are a family of 3, so its not like Im doing laundry daily. Am I wrong to think I can get at least 3 years out of a product?

My gas range doesnt work all that well. Sometimes the flame catches and lights, sometimes it doesnt. Oven seems to be less than steady in cooking. It is ok, but I wouldnt buy again.

When you first get the washer it looks like it can get the job done. Its the brand name and you trust to get the best clean from the washer. After a couple of months I dont see them clean. It washes with a couple of shakes back and forth and when my clothes are ready they seem like they were dipped in water. Not clean. It has all these fancy buttons for all different types of cycles and loads and they all seem to wash the same. As a mother of 3 kids I want my kids to put on CLEAN clothes. Not clothes that look like they have just been dipped in the water with detergent. I feel a good on cleaning board and my hands do a lot more than these high priced washers.

My new Whirlpool refrigerator has accumulated ice on the top of the freezer compartment from day 1. I called Whirlpool and a repair was scheduled five weeks later September 12. The repair person said he needed a part and would order a new light switch and ice door parts from Whirlpool. Ten days later he came back with a new switch and instructions to file some plastic off the ice door part so it will close properly. It only partially worked; ice stopped forming in the ice chute but still formed on the top around the light switch. The new switch is not flush with the liner and the plastic liner has a small crack starting at the switch. How Whirlpool wants to cut out a six inch square of the liner including the switch and glue in a patch. This patch would only be warrantied for the balance of my one year warranty. I find this unacceptable and will complain to the store where I purchased the refrigerator.

Our double oven was part of our new home purchase so we really didnt have a choice in product. Brand new. Hardly used. The control board replaced because it went bad 2 weeks after install. After one use it had it replaced and it went bad again. Used it once and again same thing. My mom unaware of the issue used the self cleaner as a favor. Well things went really bad. Because the temperature of the self cleaner was too much for the oven and explode and the inside glass shattered. This is not a product that you would want in your home or would recommend for anyone to buy. They do not stand by their product either. Please do not risk your familys life.

I purchased a small dorm size fridge from Target after our electric went off and was gonna be off for a while and we purchased this to run with a generator and its 110 power also but this is a super little fridge and I would definitely would buy again.

I bought refrigerator in Feb 2017. Within 18 months internal surface got crack, contacted customer care but I would say Whirlpool India customer care department is worst across world, no courtesy towards customers, contacted them over phone very bad attitude, no response on email. Product quality is worst, its better to buy Indian brands. They are much better in quality & service. Totally dissatisfied with Whirlpool approach, at the end Whirlpool customer care is not at all bothered.

Hi. We purchased a french doors 32 cubic feet refrigerator from Home Depot in January 2017. Since day one it has not worked correctly. We have dual ice makers and neither one works. The fridge doesnt cool at all! Whirlpool sent out an appliance repair company who said they ordered the parts. Its been 2 months and guess what still no parts on order and still have no refrigerator. So after 45 or more minutes on the phone with them for the millionth time we came to the conclusion that we are stuck with a POS refrigerator! They refuse to swap the fridge out. They said Home Depot would have to swap it and its against their policy. (Thats another complaint department.) We will never recommend a Whirlpool product again. Never buy Whirlpool. They love taking our money and thats where they stop.

Help? WP Gold double convection wall ovens WOD93EC0AS rated very high by Consumer Reports installed end of February. Monday April 6, fan in top convection oven came on suddenly while oven not on. When I tried setting a baking temperature in top oven to see what was going on, message read This function is not available. After about 15 minutes the fan went off, and I could use the oven. Worked well Tuesday and Wednesday. Oven not used again this week, but this evening, Friday, same thing happened again. Process has been repeated several times with fewer times between fan turn on. Have turned off power to ovens until I can get a repairman. Has anyone else had this experience or know what the problem is. Have been reading about the problems with WP ovens. Wondering if I need in addition to Home Depot Warranty the one from Whirlpool as well. Had Bosch convection ovens for 12 years then self-cleaned and thermostats went out and cannot be replaced because parts no longer made or available through any supplier. Said I would not buy Bosch ovens again because the parts became unavailable even sooner. What a mistake. Apparently self-cleaning element blows a lot of ovens thermostats and/or circuit boards. Loved the ovens and had only one repair after the ovens were one or two years old. The Bosch dishwasher is same age and still working great and usually cant even tell it is on.

This is the second time since I have had the fridge in September 2011. I had to have a new compressor installed about two months ago, and now, it is doing the same thing again. I had lost all my food before and its happening again. Last time, it took over three weeks before the fridge got fixed.

I bought my glass top stainless electric Whirlpool range in April of 2019. It worked great until December 2019. Four days before Christmas my daughter was home alone and using the oven to heat up dinner. She smelled a terrible smell and there was a ton of electrical blue smoke. She called me at work and I told her to turn it off. My husband came home as I was talking to her and pulled out the stove. The place where the stove meets to cord had burst into flames. The wires in the cord were so badly damaged they were all exposed and singed. Our house could have caught fire! The whirlpool company will not stand by their product. They blamed it on the team at Lowe’s who installed the range...Lowe’s has been nothing but confusing and frustrating to deal with! I can’t believe how we’ve been treated. Do not buy whirlpool! These stoves are dangerous!

Lost two freezers of meat in this Whirlpool. Changed Motherboard twice. Wouldnt keep ice cream frozen. Tech told me I was buying cheap ice cream. Was told by Whirlpool that they dont replace freezers. Received a call from another WP rep who did replace it. Waiting 4 weeks now because trucking company wont come up my driveway in snow. It was here once out. Driver didnt know how to change unit out. Waiting for exp driver now.

I have Whirlpool 40 gallon heater 5 years ago. The pilot light went out and I replaced the parts. This has happened three times and I have replaced the entire thermocouple assembly three times. The last time, the parts came straight from Whirlpool. This time, the pilot light will not stay lit. I am on my way to buy another hot water heater for my family because I have had enough.

We purchased this combo from Lowes; checked my account and saw we were double charged! Got the charge adjusted; jeez. Bought this size to do comforters and large loads, but nothing large gets completely wet. Our clothes started to mildew as Affresh does not work. Im allergic to mildew and got headaches. The mechanic said this mildew is because all the action is under the basin and you dont want to see how black it is under there. It began to leak as buildup went into the bleach dispenser, and it turned black.He said to run a gallon of white vinegar in the clean cycle once a month, and this did work. I did a clean out with Castile peppermint soap, several white vinegar treatments, and got rid of the mildew and the (clog related) leak. I now use Mollys Suds powder. I was shocked to read on the Mollys site that mfg does not have to list all the terrible ingredients in commercial detergent, which is not helping you or the machine.

This is a portable dishwasher with a butcher block top. Great to use as a rolling island countertop. The capacity is huge, fitting large pasta pots and dutch ovens with ease along with dish plates. Love the water miser setting and the no heat dry to protect delicate material like china dishware.

I bought this Whirlpool America dishwasher because it was cheap. Even though Im Canadian, I like patriotism and I could get behind the American flag logo on the washer. Let me just say, if you like when food comes off your plates, and attaches to your cups, then this is the dishwasher for you. It is always a surprise when you open the door to discover which dishes have been cleaned, and which dishes have inherited the food particles from the now clean dishes. This appliance really helps you work on time management as you are required to wash all your dishes before you put them into the dishwasher. 0/10 would not recommend for anyone who wants clean dishes.

My Whirlpool refrigerator does well overall to maintain food items. However, even at the lowest freeze settings, some of the food items that are stored towards the rear of the refrigerator shelf have a tendency to freeze. This oftentimes results in food items having to be wasted. Other than that, the overall appearance and performance of the Whirlpool refrigerator is great.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer from Sears in April of this year. Here, to date, I had to call four Toms to have this unit repaired. I contacted Sears to have the unit replaced. I believe this particular unit needs to be recalled. Sears informed me that the unit must be assessed by one of their qualified/certified technicians before a request to be valid. I have concerns about this statement. Employees will not go against their company in fear of retaliation. In addition, I paid cash for the unit and now cannot get my money back. I’m dissatisfied with Sears and their values.

I have been using Whirlpool products for quite sometime. I had bought a 3 door refrigerator (Protton) about 2 years back. However I am noticing that of late, the vegetable drawer does not cool to the appropriate temperature. The vegetables as a result are spoilt. I am unable to understand what to do. I have checked with the other temperature settings and they are all in the normal mode.

For the second time in 18 months, I have had to replace the top shelves on my refrigerator (Model #ED5VHEXVB01) because the cheap plastic borders have broken. The first time it was covered by the 1 year warranty, but this time (12/11) Ill have to pay $130 just for one shelf. Unless the quality of the product has improved, Ill probably expect to have to replace them again within the year. Needless to say, Ill never buy Whirlpool products again. Im out $130 because Whirlpool will not replace them for free because the product is no longer under warranty.

Bought a standard 18 cubic foot top mount Whirlpool when moving into my first apt. The refrigerator cost a little over $500.00, is spacious and energy efficient. No ice and water in doors and no chip boards for any controls but still working perfectly. It is now 30 years old and never even serviced. When buying appliances get basic, do the job units and nothing with chip boards. They are still sold today and the fridge I have costs less now.

Whirlpool Auto Load Sensing - I bought the washer in Aug 2010 and it worked well until the timer went out this year. Its only 4 years old! The repairman said it would cost $350 to fix - the machine cost me $469 to begin with! Whirlpool builds a poor quality product and Id advise people not to buy their brand of anything.

We have owned the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II for about 2.5 years. We purchased this from our local Lowes store (on sale). For the first few months, everything was fine. Then, the dishwasher stopped completing a full cycle and left the dishes somewhat dirty. I found online that I could reset the controls by pressing heated dry-normal-heated dry-normal quickly.When the cycle starts, I press cancel and then set the cycle I want and it will do it correctly. I do this every time I wash the dishes since I dont know when it will decide to stop working (wasting water and soap to redo).Now, the dishes are not drying and water collects on the ceiling of the tub. I saw this after a smell was coming from the tub (like mold) and when I looked up at the top of the tub, I saw water droplets hanging there and mold forming around the sprayer and back of tub. I have to wipe the ceiling dry now or just run vinegar through it often. I cant see paying someone to come out since service calls start around $70 just to come to my home. I did look at reviews for the dishwasher before buying but I wished that I had seen this site first. I would not ever recommend this dishwasher to anyone!

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio HE top loading washer and front-loading dryer about 7 years ago. It has been okay, but nothing special. Recently it began stopping in the middle of the cycle and showing an F51 error. Then all of a sudden the noise during spin was deafening. Brought out a tech, who came and did some eval. Left with some basic maintenance. Did a load, and happily no more F51 code, but still so very loud during spin cycle.Called again; tech returned and said that drum and shaft would likely need to be replaced to the tune of some $500. The same story as others have told. We should have bought the extended warranty. Like others, I also felt that washers lasted at least 10 years. And that seemed a short time given expectations in the past of 20 years of service. Im disappointed in Whirlpool. Even though Consumer Reports gives the Whirlpool Duet washer (new 2013) one of its highest reviews, I cant bring myself to buy another Whirlpool product. It appears to me that this warrants recall as well.

Weve had this Whirlpool 5000DW1 machine since June 2017. Never fills with enough water no matter what cycle you pick! Clothes come out with DRY areas on them! Obviously not clean. Who would design a washer that you put soap in and clothes right on top of that! Seriously, how ridiculous. I will forfeit the money spend on this junk if its possible to find something built today that cleans clothes.

We had the refrigerator delivered in March, 2013. We noticed a leak in February 2014, only because we smelled a musty smell in our garage, and removed the rug outside the door, from the garage to the kitchen. Then we started noticing water in the garage. It was shortly after we determined it was the refrigerator. We bought this at Lowes and they use A&E, and they did not show up for the first appt. They did replace the pan a few days later while we had to replace dry wall behind the fridge. This time around (month later) we noticed the fridge/freezer was not cooling. So A&E came out and determined its the compressor. So now we threw out hundreds of dollars of groceries, and water was leaking all over the floor again from ice thawing. I believe the refrigerator has had problems all along. We have had it for one year. I think we should be reimbursed for the compressor! Thats the least Whirlpool can do after losing so much food and money spent on the wall, and all the water mess etc. I will never buy Whirlpool again, and I will never purchase from Lowes again. We always bought at Lowes, but this was a bad experience, and I get told one thing on the phone with reps and another by A&E.

I purchased a compact frontload washer. At first, I was getting a code f30, which took the technician weeks of coming to my home and changing different parts to finally accomplish that problem. After that, the machine would not go into high spin to wring the clothes out. So everything comes out soaking wet. After two different companies (Herbs Appliance and DanMarc Appliance which I got from my service contract) changed speed control, board, latch control, main computer, and top control board, the machine finally worked for a little while. Not long after, the machine is no longer wringing out once again. I am no longer under contract but had a repairman out three times to inform me this machine is a lemon. Whirlpool tells me I am no longer under contract, but my argument is this is not a new problem but a preexisting one.

Nice refrigerator. Not enough flexibility in shelving adjustment. Same with compartments on doors, flexibility limited. Freezer design is limited. It is not easy to load the freezer with different items.

Its a front loader and has lots of cycles and temperature to choose from. Its setting on a pedestal so its not too low. I dont like the way the soap is dispensed.. If you still have the door open when you pour it in the dispenser it almost comes out on you. It also knots your clothes up and makes them hard to get out. The rest is good.

I purchased a gas range with JDR8895 last 09/06/2007 at Home Depot in Metro Denver for approximately $1700.00. I will make my final payment on my Home Depot account next month. I was preparing dinner last September 10, 2011. I had the pans on the cooktop, one on the right rear and one on the left front burners. This was the set up because the right front burner has stopped working some time ago. Both burners were on a low setting as I was simmering pasta sauce and just warming water as I was later going to boil it for the noodles. I was in my living room when I started to smell something odd. When I approached my kitchen, there was a fire coming from the rear of the cooktop and beneath the three burner knobs. It smelled like an electrical fire. I immediately turned off the burners with my hand wrapped in a towel and started putting out the fire by hitting it with the towel and blowing. The towel caught on fire. I grabbed my fire extinguisher and was ready to spray when finally, it looked like it burned out. The smell in my home is terrible, when I tried to test the lower burner it looked like it was catching on fire underneath the knob as well, so i immediately turned it off and batted it with a towel. Im not sure what happened here. I will make my final payment on this range next month and had the previous range in here since 1977 and that still worked fine. I spent a small fortune on this Jenn-Air, only to have it catch on fire that could have potentially burned my house down.On various web sites including consumer affairs, JDR8895 has many reports of fires. If this is a known problem, why has it not been addressed as a recall? My 9-year old was making soup the day before while I was in the living room. This could of easily happened to her! It is a very dangerous situation to put your consumers in!Whirlpool Corporation contacted the appliance repair company, Columbine Appliances, to inform them that they would only be covering the cost of their visit and not the cost of the parts to be replaced in the range (the ones that caught on fire). Through Columbine Appliance, Whirlpool wanted to inform me that this is not a safety hazard and that it was my fault as I got water in the control knobs. This is not true. If I did, I was not aware and was unable to find any literature about that being a safety hazard or that it could cause a fire. I have found and have forwarded to the CPSC many instances of this exact problem, often when the range was not even in use and are happening to other consumers. I am working on combining the data, contacting the other consumers and have since refused service on the range by Columbine Appliances. Whirlpool only tried to contact me after I left them a message regarding the status of the range and that I had no interest in paying for what I viewed as a defect in their range and a safety hazard. I found a news story of this range going up in flames. Its unbelievable that this company continues to stand behind this product and blame these fires on the consumers actions. I am disabled and have an oxygen machine in my home. I have no desire to have this unit catch on fire again and potentially die, especially since water does, on occasion, end up on cooktops. I purchased a new Whirlpool washer and dryer (model number WED9250WR0 #WFW9250WR00). The washer broke after about 2 months. They took my washer and gave me some off brand one, because I purchased a 5 year extended warranty. They kept my washer for over 3 months, saying that the manufacturer takes that long to get the parts in. Its ridiculous! The tub, seal, and some other parts had to be replaced. It was shredding my clothing and my bedding. The first time they fixed it, a couple days later, it started making a horrible noise. The repairman came out, and a part had fallen off inside, so he put it back on. It kept happening, so I called them back, and he taped the part on!About 2 months later, the seal started shredding, and so did my clothing. I called again, and they had to replace the seal again. It still sounds off balance, and they said that was normal, because of the give in the floor. The day they fixed the seal, I washed a childs sleeping bag, and it shredded it too! I called again, and they refused to replace it, and they want to come and look at it again. My dryer lint trap seal also keeps coming apart, and I have gone through 3 of those in less than 8 months. They said they are just made poorly, so it will keep happening. I just want my money back, and buy a different washer and dryer somewhere else. I had an old pair that I bought, used, and they lasted me 5 years with less problems than these that I paid two grand for.

I bought a French door, counter depth, Whirlpool refrigerator model GIOFSAXVY05 in 2011. It leaks water under the front of the freezer on to my cherry wood floor. This has caused much damage to my new house and floor. It is noisy, runs a lot, but its the leaking that has me most disgusted. I wish I would have known about this defect before purchase and ruining my floor.
