I am concerned that Whirlpool microwaves installed over the stove have extremely faulty doors. I have two homes in which I have Whirlpool microwaves, and both have huge cracks in the door and small pieces inside the doors beginning to fall out. It deeply concerns me that it will cost more to replace the doors than to replace the microwaves. I have always believed in Whirlpool appliances but now feel that I will have to change brands. My question is “What in the world is wrong with your doors that they crack so easily and the company holds no responsibility with such faulty work?” I would simply think that this was just a faulty door on my microwave, but I have two that are cracked! This definitely means you have a faulty product.

I bought a Duet front load washer and dryer set in January 2009 from our local Lowes. Spin cycle noise progressively got louder over time to the point we contacted our locally owned service company to check it out in June 2011. Cause is defective shell and spin tub, total repair cost $750. This was about the original cost of the washer! I contacted Whirlpool via e-mail (wait time via their phone is outrageous), they wont do anything. Out of warranty. Up until now, Whirlpool has had a good name with me. Not anymore. I will never buy anything Whirlpool manufactured ever again. (Maytag, Kenmore, maybe more brands.)American companys insensitivity such as this is what gives some of American industry a bad name and drives consumers away to quality foreign brands made in Europe: German, Swiss, Italian, Swedish, etc.Im going to take a hard look at Bosch washers to replace this Whirlpool piece of junk.

Worst appliance we have ever bought. Our last fridge (also stainless french door) we had for about 14 or 15 years and only the door bins cracked that we put gallon milk jugs in (dont do it - they are too heavy and get warm from the door opening). This fridge is a piece of junk. We were told it was stainless - rust spots started appearing the first year. The deli drawer lid broke within a month or two, but I didnt care about that so I just threw it away. The ice machine stopped working a little after the first year. Today however is what got me to write a review - I spent a couple of hours trying to duct tape and make wood supports to hold up the frame for the produce drawers - one of which is totally cracked when it fell from having the support break. While doing this I noticed there are hairline cracks on the front of all 4 of the shelves! Also, this one has a wire basket in the bottom instead of a full drawer - probably more supportive, but it means stuff constantly falls into the bottom of the fridge and it is extremely hard to get in there to clean.

Cabrio - In Dec 2013: Ran the Clean washer cycle and it would not cut off. I had to shut off manually. Called the company and they sent a technician, who said he fixed it and that everything was good. Fast forward to Feb 2015: Tried cleaning the washer again. When I left the house there were 10 minutes left in the cycle. When I arrived home 7 hrs later, the washer was still running and my hot water heater had cut off. I had to reset via the circuit breaker. This will be my last Whirlpool appliance for a long while.

We purchased the Whirlpool Duet Sport matching washer and dryer new in 2006
We purchased the Whirlpool Duet Sport matching washer and dryer new in 2006 from a local appliance store. The washer was around $1,000. The salesman sold us on the load capacity, telling us it can wash 15 pairs of jeans. We dont overload it, mostly because its a high-efficiency washer and doesnt use much water (Im still trying to figure out the concept of how can you clean a whole load of laundry with a little bit of water). Its very quiet, but the cycles take longer than standard washers. Also, you must use very little soap (too much soap will cause the washer to stop and display an error code, which youll have to call a technician to come and reset). It is now 2013, and the washer started thumping during a cycle and there was a burning rubber smell. We called an appliance repairman who gave us an estimate for repair of $800 to $900 (for a bad bearing/bearing casing and inner basket). Im sure that there was quite a markup on those parts! It seems to me that the older non-efficient washers lasted longer than 7 years, and certainly didnt cost $1,000 when new.

Purchased washer 01/20/2012 after prior bad experience with washer, purchased from Sears. The washer is two years old and began making an awful noise and quit spinning the clothes dry. I too have had problems with getting service and cant see spending $500.00 for repairs on a washer that cost me $653.81 to purchase. Whirlpool and Sears better take their head out of their bum before the completely decimate their customer base. Why arent these problems being fairly addressed? It says a lot that your original warranty is only a year and any additional warranty is cost prohibiting. Save yourself some money and frustration and buy the old fashioned top loaders with standard agitation. AND WHIRLPOOL CAN AND SHOULD BUY A VOWEL AND REALIZE THAT IF IT DOESNT WORK IT ISNT MORE EFFICIENT!!!

We moved into a new home (brand new construction) in Dec 2018. The ice maker/water dispenser has never worked. Weve had 2 different repair people come a total of 5 times to no avail. Now have to deal with Whirlpool directly to deal with Warranty. Will Whirlpool offer a new fridge? No, they will send a replacement door. 8 months later and we still have a fridge that does not work. Not impressed with Whirlpool and extremely unsatisfied with the produce. Do not buy this brand.

We purchased our unit (Microwave Hood Combination #WMH53520AH-1) in Fall of 2013 and within a year we noticed there were occasionally problems with the sensors; occasionally when you would open the door the lights would flicker and even rarer still, they wouldnt turn on at all. Id close and re-open the door several times to try to get it to register, because if it doesnt you are unable to heat anything in it. The sensor issue increased with the passage of time, but because it was outside of the 1 year warranty, Whirlpool refused to do anything about it, instead advising that I pay $70-140 for a service professional to come out and inspect it. The biggest problem with the sensor issue in this unit is that normally, if you open the door mid-heating cycle, the microwave will automatically turn off but once I opened the door AND IT CONTINUED TO EMIT MICROWAVES - the cycle stayed on!!!Needless to say, on the occasion that the microwave is actually working and we are heating something up in it, we NEVER open the door mid cycle and instead hit the cancel button, which blessedly works. You would think Whirlpool would care about their reputation for making high-quality electrical products. A flaw in the construction or design of a product can appear if quality of materials is poor and the problem can be exacerbated over time. Which is why I assume the warranty is only for one year. High Quality Products and Good Customer Service are such rare things these days. For our next microwave (which I imagine well need soon) I think well forego Whirlpool and go with a different company.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer duet exclusive to Lowe’s in June 2011. I was immediately dissatisfied and went to Lowe’s. They told me I only had 7 days to return it. They dispatched a service man and he said it was working as it was intended to but I would never be satisfied. If I had dirty clothes from farming, construction, or mining, I should forget about it.” The washer is an eco-friendly model and all the clothes do not get wet. It wrings them out very tight and everything needs to be dried or ironed to get rid of the wrinkles. After 6 visits and lots of stress, I am returning the washer to Lowe’s and they will replace it with a different model. It definitely will not be a Whirlpool. I am very disappointed in the service and response I received from Lowes.

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator from Lowes 5 months ago. Already had a repairman out two times. The refrigerator is defrosting out on the floor. We are constantly having to change towels to catch the water. The last repairman said it could be fixed and started the procedure to get an exchange since it was still under warranty, but now Whirlpool is saying they still want to fix it even after we were told we were getting an exchange. These people are crooks and put out low quality merchandise, then dont back it up. I have seen complaint after complaint on the reviews. Whirlpool needs to be put out of business.

Bought in October 2014. Died December 2015. The previous Whirlpool microwave this unit replaced was 10 years old and carried a 5 year warranty on the magnetron. Imagine my dismay to find out this unit carried only a 1 year warranty on the magnetron. So 2 months past warranty expiration Im left with a dead unit. I performed elementary troubleshooting. The unit has a fuse on the 120 Volt input. But the unit must be disassembled to gain access to the fuse. So what SHOULD be a five minute job turned into an hour and a half. The fuse wasnt the problem - replacement fuses blew like popcorn. Fuse placement within the unit without regard for service considerations is a poor design. To their credit, Whirlpool agreed to cover the cost of repairs if I would pay for labor. I agreed. A tech came out and looked at the unit. He said that he would have to order a bunch of parts and that he would be back in contact by the end of the week. Three weeks went by. There was no call from the tech; my messages on his voicemail generated no response. So a couple of days later I purchased a replacement from a competing manufacturer.

I purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio washer three months ago from hhgregg. If I hit the lottery, the first thing Im going to do is take it to the dump and buy a new washer. There is no way to wash a load of towels in this machine. I started a load at 7:35 this morning and it is now 9:53 and Im still dealing with the drain and spin cycles. Over and over, I try to get it to spin out enough water that I can put the towels in the dryer. I should have suspected something when I saw that the washer even had a separate drain and spin cycle. It should have told me something. Its a piece of junk. Never again. Im back to Kenmore.

When trying to clean the oven I followed the directions just as its said in the manual. After the cleaning was complete it didnt even look like it clean the oven. I called customer service and they told me I had to clean the oven with a little elbow grease before I put the self cleaning on? Really? I have to clean the self cleaning oven by hand beforehand? I purchased this Refrigerator Model #wrb322dmb, bottom freezer, 21cu ft. last year on July 3, 2015. In September I noticed rust spots on the top door. I called Home Depot where I purchased and they directed me to Whirlpool. I did purchase an extended warranty with Home Depot. Whirlpool did replace the top door. Thought that took care of it. Today one year and two weeks out of warranty, I again notice rust on both doors. Called Whirlpool. They said too bad out of warranty, not considering I had a previous report of this very same issue. So since I am very unsatisfied with this result and the fact that an expensive product is rusting, I decided to share to try to prevent someone getting stuck. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust which leads me to believe that it is not Stainless steel, but a Stainless Steel finish and not a very good one. So I am stuck with a rusting $1200.00 refrigerator only after one year. I have always purchased Whirlpool, but no more. They lost a 40-year customer. I have always bought American made but no wonder people are not buying American made any longer. TO SUM IT UP WHIRLPOOL STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES RUST! DO NOT BUY!

Our countertop Whirlpool microwave oven is just over two years old and one of the led lights in the clock display just went out. The push-button opening mechanism is very hard to work and quite loud when the door is shut. When the timer is set but the start button is not activated for a few minutes, the door warning goes on and you have to reset the timer. There are five beeps that indicate when cooking is done and they continue even when the door is opened. Just like many other reviews about this brand - our microwave went bad after only 14 months of using it. Initially the door sensor would register - it wont operate even if the door is closed. Or it will keep going even if the door is open. I contacted BBB and the Whirlpool corporation regarding this safety issue. I pointed out that the safety mechanism is faulty and they should recall all of those models that have similar issue with door sensor. This is extremely dangerous for households with kids. There is a reason why this safety mechanism is mandatory in all microwaves! Whirlpool pointed out to me that I should not try to operate microwave with open door and refused to take any responsibility. Ive owned probably 10 different microwaves over the years and NEVER had micro go bad after only one year, yet alone have completely faulty safety mechanism. Consumer beware!

Add us to the list of those whose Whirlpool Cabrio washer has failed. First, it was the infamous circuit board at a cost of $475 installed. Now, the tub bearing is apparently beginning to fail given the machines new propensity to roar like a freight train during the spin cycle. A letter to Whirlpool resulted the too bad ** letter that everyone else has gotten. This really should be a class action suit money-maker for some attorney. So now the question: Throw good money after bad hoping to get an additional couple of years out of it or bite the bullet and buy some reliable brand?Never again a Whirlpool, thats for sure. I pointed out to them that in the age of the internet, they wont go unpunished for this but theyre nothing if not shortsighted. An $800 machine requiring $475 worth of repairs and apparently soon to need another $500 worth of repairs. Whats wrong with this picture?

I purchased at Lowes and they say was without warranty. I have had all kinds of trouble. The pilot light was replaced in the burner easily because of recall. Now the pilot will not stay lighted unless you tap on the gas valve. Then as soon as the water temperature comes up, the burner and the pilot light go out. I went to Lowes for a new gas valve. They have one for natural gas of $58. They do not stock for propane. I have to purchase from Whirlpool which costs $228. Their comment is that it is more expensive to build another. They do not change offices any longer because of PSi difference bull crap. I purchased a Whirlpool gas stove 2 to 3 years ago and I had to purchase an LP change over kit to use it. This is nothing but a case price extortion. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again and I would advise no one else either!

All whirlpool appliances have a defect. My refrigerator, my washer and dryer, my microwave all have issues. Most of the whirlpool at all. Services agents are rude and not professional. We bought a Cabrio washer & dryer September 2010 for a room addition that wasnt completed yet. We didnt get moved in until the first of November. So the washer wasnt used until then. In January 2011 (15 months later) it stopped spinning so clothes were dripping wet. We called Whirlpool and were told that they would be happy to set us up for a service agreement for $322 for one year. We declined since we bought the washer for a little over $500. When we had a local Whirlpool service man come out and he determined that it was the control board which would cost $265 (Whirlpool only warrants parts 90 days). I sent an email to Whirlpool and was told too bad, so sad. We called their customer care line (that is really not the term for that phone center) and asked to talk to a supervisor, who essentially told me the same thing. Whirlpool is making equipment that is extremely poor quality. There is no incentive for them to produce a better quality product as they make money on the extended warranties that are necessary, or if you dont buy an extended warranty they charge an extraordinary huge price for their parts, which they dont warranty. We will never purchase anything made by Whirlpool. I am not sure where this useless piece of junk that I have will end up but I intend to let everyone I know what a terrible company Whirlpool is to deal with.

We saved over a year to ripped off by Whirlpool. I expected a washer and stove to last far longer than 3 years. Actually would be 3 yrs come December. So disappointed.

Every appliance Ive ever owned has been a Whirlpool product. I am on my second set of Cabrio washers and dryers. I havent had any issues with the dryers, but the washers are a different story. My first washer, bought in 2008, started throwing water and oil underneath while spinning. A service technician came out... I had to have the entire tub replaced seeing as how the bearings that went bad were in the motor/spinning assembly that was built into the tub. I moved in 2011 and needed another washer and dryer. I was told the problem had been addressed. Now Im having the same problem... the washer is so loud when spinning, you can hear it on the opposite end of the house with doors closed! So the bearing problem has NOT BEEN ADDRESSED!!! Whirlpool will not stand by this product!! Loyalty is not a factor in their assistance... Only profit!!!

Brought a five burner Whirlpool range on June 9, 2018. On Christmas Eve the door fell off and I had a house of 20 guest. Couldn’t cook at all, and cook Christmas either. Call them immediately on December 26, 2018. They set up a schedule for the following week on Monday. The man showed up. Could not believe how this could happen is that he had ordered me a whole new. Dealer said it will be back on Thursday or Friday that week. The serviceman still hasn’t called and it’s Friday. Called the serviceman no answer so here I go another week or two with no oven. The oven door fell when I opened it to take food out and fell in my legs. Have a nice black and blue. Maybe I should think of suing them instead of getting it fixed.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer and dryer a couple of year
I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer and dryer a couple of years ago and have disliked the washer from the first wash. I have followed the instructions on how to load the washer which, first of all, takes more time than any other washer I have ever had to load. Second, the clothes come out so wrapped around each other that its almost impossible to separate them. They are wrinkled to the point that the dryer cant even de-wrinkle them, and some have even been damaged. Third, the load doesnt smell fresh even though I have cleaned the washer as instructed. I agree with every negative review I have read on this product, and have been so disappointed with this purchase that I will never buy any Whirlpool product again.

Purchased a Whirlpool double oven (WGE745COFH) in September 2018. It is now May 2019. After 5 service technicians verified the erratic temperature fluctuations in the ovens, Whirlpool insists that a +25 degree to -25 degree fluctuation in a heating cycle is normal. The motherboard was changed 3 times, and the sensors were changed 3 times, including hard-wiring the last set of sensors. I called Whirlpool and customer service says that is normal. Ever tried baking at a 350 degree setting that fluctuates from 375 degrees down to 312 degrees while trying to maintain a 350 degree setting? I understand there has to be some fluctuation, but either it took a lot of extra time or burned my food consistently. Ridiculous. So, with the help of wonderful people at Lowes (where I purchased the double oven) Whirlpool is refunding my money and Lowes has taken back the slide-in double oven. In my quest to replace it, multiple appliance sellers have told me that all the new ovens having motherboards and sensors have big fluctuations in the oven heating cycles. I find that unacceptable. My husband and other family members have worked daily in an industry where temperatures were critical. They used ovens that could maintain temperature within 5 degrees of set temperature with analog controls. The home consumers are being ripped off with cheap, sub-standard parts making throw away appliances and getting away with it. What do I buy? Havent figured that out yet, but have purchased a countertop toaster oven that bakes beautifully.

I bought a Whirlpool gold model #GB2F-1DXW507 / k27711376 when we remodeled our kitchen in October 2012. After a couple months I noticed water on my floor, then in the bottom of the freezer. I called Lowe’s. They sent out a repairman. He said it was a flaw in the design and put the redesigned part in. When they delivered the fridge they changed the door to a left hand open and it was never right. After 2 years the ice maker stopped working. I just started buying ice. Today 5 years and 5 months later they said it will cost me almost $500.00 to fix the electric board and the Ice maker. The fridge stopped working would not get cold. And the certified Whirlpool repairman said it was a very good looking fridge and he would fix it with a 90 day warranty on the genuine Whirlpool parts for almost $500.00. I said I wasnt a idiot. Why would I spend that kind of money for JUNK. After reading some reviews I think Whirlpool knows just what junk they are selling. I called and all they said was, “Thats too bad. We will take it under advisement.” I bought mine 1st then 1 year later my sister and sister-in-law bought theirs. 3 fridges with all the same leaking issues. I hope they dont end up with all the same problems.

Received call Feb. 3 that the earliest they could deliver would be February 19, almost 2 months after purchase of refrigerator. Sears, where we purchased the refrigerator, told me that they have been dealing with this for 10 years with Whirlpool. Why would Sears sell products to their customers with this kind of delivery problem? They only communicate with Whirlpool via email, so there is no resolution with a person to get issue taken care of. Now they say it will be Dec. before they can fix it as part is backordered. REALLY!!! Im expected to not have a washer from Sept. to Dec. with no compensation! Our home came with an Asko dishwasher, theoretically a premium device though the experience was not the best. Anyways, had to replace it after a few years and decided to buy a Whirlpool under the assumption that if an Asko kind of sucks, being so expensive, it was not worth the money to spend big bucks on an expensive dishwasher. I could not have been more wrong! Bought a middle of the pack Whirlpool, I think we spend around $500. Complete junk. I had to use our Sears home warranty like 6 times. They replaced two times the computer board, all the sensors another couple of times, motor, you name it! Worst part is that all of the non essentials part that also broke off (wheels, and plastic pieces of the door) were not covered by Sears warranty so I had to end up using glue and all kind of contraptions to keep them together. Finally, when we decided to put our house in the market we replaced this junk with a Bosch. So far so good. Whirlpool actually never even washed properly, now with the Bosch we finally know what it means to have a dishwasher that really washes for real!

It is easy to load. I miss having a silverware separator for the holder because the silverware tends to be too close to each other. I always rinse things well before putting them into the machine because I usually run the machine about once a week. Overall, this is a good machine for the price I paid. I am loyal to Whirlpool and this one on sale was a very good value. Very pleased.

Here in Brazil, we use to have a very good brand of durable and reliable refrigerators and home appliances called Brastemp, and I was a very happy, fidelized customer of theirs. The time came for me to move to my new house. I gave my old appliances away to friends and modeled my new kitchen with Brastemp products. What I didnt know then is that Whirlpool bought the brand in 2000 and was selling their appliances over the Brastemp brand since.Whirlpool is clearly selling disposable appliances here. My vacuum cleaner failed after a week. My brand new refrigerator and laundry machines failed weeks after the one-year warranty and the dishwasher sometimes heats up and tips the 20A circuit breaker (suggested by the manufacturer), which is only for the dishwasher. For my complete surprise, my old appliances are still functional in my friends house. I got my old dishwasher back and I had absolutely no problems since. The vacuum cleaner failed again, this time 5 months out of warranty. In all fail cases, the price to fix it was about 70% of the price of a new one, which I took as a sign to replace them for something else. Good job, Whirlpool! You bought a nice brand, trashed it and gave the finger to fidelized customers you acquired with the new brand by replacing quality products with built-in obsolescence others. What do you plan to do next? Whatever it is, dont count on me as a customer ever again.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio on October 27th, 2010. The Cabrio is always giving me the UL code, which indicates the load isnt in balance. Ive been doing laundry for 27 years. I know how to load dirty clothes into a washing machine evenly. Sometimes it will take me all day to do one load of laundry! Seven months after my purchase, my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine started giving me the F51 error code. I called the phone number on my Lowes receipt for warranty work. Two weeks later, I finally had my washing machine running again. I was happy and thought Id only have to deal with the UL code. Boy was I wrong?!Now Im two weeks away from my warranty expiring. Im getting the F51 error code again! This washing machine is an $800 piece of junk! Hopefully, I can get the Cabrio repaired before my warranty expires in two weeks. I do a lot of laundry. We are a family of six. So, I know Im hard on washing machines but come on. Shouldnt an $800 washing machine last at least two years? Im not even a full year into owning this junky washer and Ive had two breakdowns! In my opinion, this washing machine needs to be recalled and people need a reliable replacement or refund.

So today they leave a voicemail and they said that technicians were at my house at 12 noon WITHOUT even notifying me when they will get to my house. They basically just came to my house without asking me an question about the schedule and appointment. This wasnt first time. So I called, and the person was like Um, the technicians were at your house. Excuse me? She sighed and said tsk, tsk, tsk. This woman was SO DISRESPECTFUL. She tried to end up conversation by saying, ugh, the technicians will call you tomorrow morning and they will let you know okay?? Bye. and hung up the phone. I didnt have any chance to say something. Again, this is my bad experience. Never going to buy products in this company. Extremely poor customer service, with disrespectful employees. I replaced a 15 -year-old propane water heater with an electric on 02/01/14, due to the high propane prices, $6 a gallon, and because I felt the heater should be replaced. After installing the electric water heater I filled with water purged all the air out, powered it up, went thru diagnostics and heated water to 120. After an hour I turned on the hot water at the kitchen faucet, hot water was there but not for long, water got cold,.I troubleshot the problem back to the anti-scald valve installed 15 years ago when I had a professional install the first tank. By placing my hand on the hot water line coming out of the tank, I found the water was indeed hot before the anti-scald valve, after the valve the water was cold indicating to me the valve was not functioning properly. I went to Lowes bought the parts to bypass and removed the valve, went home and in another hour had the problem solved! I wondered why I had to turn the temp upon the old heater to get hot water! I am very happy with my electric water heater, not only did Lowes have the last one in stock, it was on sale $100 off regular price, it is a digital controller type with water temperature setting on the front. I checked the temp at the water faucet in the kitchen. I had it set to 120, the water temp out was 119.8 on my digital thermometer. Water was too hot so I lowered it to 110, perfect temp for a hot shower. Even if the thing uses more electric than it should I still save because the fact of propane is so high I couldnt see spending $600 for 28 days of propane, versus $400 on a new electric water heater. I would rather pay a higher electric bill than feel I am getting ripped off with the propane dealers! Also there is absolutely no residual heat loss. This is well insulated even comes with pipe insulation!

We purchased our first front-loader washing machine (Whirlpool Duet WFW9250WW00) just over two years ago. Since we purchased it, it has torn clothes and we have replaced the drum baffles twice (this would be the third time, but we are throwing the washer out), the drum seals twice (another place clothes can get caught). I had adjusted my washing (maybe I overfilled the washer, maybe I was using the wrong spinning speed), but every so often clothing would come out with holes or torn. The drum baffles must come loose before they come out, and clothing can get caught underneath them (I think that is where the tears occur). It has happened at least once a month and I had spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out where the clothes got caught and torn. Many people complain about bad smells from the washers (which I never had - I like the Tide with Febreeze detergent and every so often clean it with bleach or Affresh), but never torn clothing. I would really like to use a front-loading washing machine, but we are going back to the top loader - we cannot afford the clothing tears. I have seen that many people replace baffles (not many speak of clothing tears) and maybe in the future this problem will be addressed. But in the meantime, I would stay away from Whirlpool front-end washers. (GE makes some nice top loaders - and in 40 years of washing clothes and only owning two other washers, I have always thought washers to be an appliance that would last 15 years or longer with very little maintenance or trouble). I believe that I really tried to make this washing machine work out, but it got to the point where my husband did not want to wash baseball uniforms and other irreplaceable clothing in our washer.

Purchased this 27 cubic ft French door bottom freezer fridge (WRF757SDEM01) in Sep 2016. Approximately 8 months after, fridge stopped cooling. Called Whirlpool for service diagnosis since fridge was still under warranty. Service tech stated coils were freezing over due to part malfunction and part needed to be replaced and ordered. He provided me with a temporary fix by defrosting all the ice from the coils since the part would take approximately two weeks to come in. I spent an entire day of annual leave from my place of employment for this service call!!! New part was replaced and fridge was cooling like it was supposed to.Here again six months after the part replacement, my fridge was doing the same thing again; NOT COOLING my food AND there was this awful noise coming from the area in which the part was replaced. That drove me CRAZY to the point I would turn it off in short increments to maintain my sanity. I called whirlpool AGAIN, and this time, my fridge is NOW out of warranty, BUT, the replacement part of five months prior should still be in warranty. My fridge failed the day after Thanksgiving and five days after the fact, the service tech will be at my house again.Worst part of this is I took an entire day off work expecting the service tech to come between 8-12 as told to me by the whirlpool customer service rep and guess what? The company called at 1000 and said they only do appointments in my area in the evenings. I was furious; again another day of employment missed at the hands of Whirlpool. I am not confident that the same part that was replaced in May is defective and I may be going through spouts of an inoperable fridge again and again. Whirlpool really needs to take a hard look at recalling these fridges OR providing quality appliances for the money that we pay. I had GE appliances in my old house and NEVER had issues with the refrigerator. My new builder choose whirlpool and made the wrong choice! I just want a refrigerator that will work operate for the $2100.00 that I paid. I will NEVER recommend whirlpool appliances to anyone... Never!!!

Brand new dishwasher never worked. After getting the runaround from Bethel Park Home Depot. I was told I had to call Whirlpool. After being on hold 3 separate times for more than 12 minutes each time, they scheduled a repairman in a weeks time. He said the motor was bad and had to order. Wont be back out until after Christmas. I asked Whirlpool to replace this lemon. Customer service told me they never replace if they can fix. What if something else is wrong? They didnt care. Very rude. Told me manager would tell me the same thing. Never buy Whirlpool. Appliances are faulty and customer service rude. This has been a nightmare experience. Feeling very helpless at this point.

We purchased this Kitchen Aid stove December 7, 2016. I dont use the oven much, but have found that when it gets a little dirty and I use the Aqua Life function, it does not clean. Have tried by setting a pan of water in the bottom and raising the temperature to 300 degrees, but nothing cleans. We went with this feature to be more environmentally responsible. Leons, where we purchased the stove, claims that they have heard nothing of this issue and have not been informed of this by their head office.

Purchased a Cabrio washer wtw5550xwo in Sept. 2010.. Had to replace the pump a little after the warranty ran out. Then recently the control board goes out. Called customer service to complain. This part costs $320 to replace. They told me since it is no longer under the one year warranty they could not help me. This is a major part in less than 5 years of the machines use. I guess I will be purchasing another washer. It will not be a Whirlpool or any company affiliated with them. How sad. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone. They just dont make them or stand behind them like they used to.

Why would someone make something that noises. Service came, said they all like that with new gas, cant do anything. Find hard to believe this was consumer tested. 6 weeks old, cant sleep with noise. Whirlpool ED5FVGXWS refrigerator compressor failed after 24 months. No help from Whirlpool as the said 12-month warranty had run out. I do understand it’s my bad luck, but they really should try harder to back the products they make. Two years on a compressor is totally unacceptable. They could care less. I even proposed a $200 rebate on a new Whirlpool fridge. My bad luck wasn’t the compressor going out, it was buying the fridge in the first place. Shame on you Whirlpool! Viva la Mexico! They told me I could use it as a boat anchor.

Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load, Short Agitator to protect clothing, cost reasona
Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load, Short Agitator to protect clothing, cost reasonable, on sale $800.00 both (Aug. 2013) - Sears credit no interest. Moved, and had to sell after a year, but I anticipated a long life r/t rating/reviews online. One Problem: no setting to soak clothing that may need it. I bought the largest Whirlpool Cabrio to make sure my Queen bedspread (heavy blanket type fur on one side) would fit. Because of the short agitator I could have bought the smaller one I discovered. I could fit 6 regular side and 4 beach heavy beach size towels in it easily, or two Queen quilts in at a time. I rarely needed an Xlg water setting. The dryer had a steam only setting but I never tried it because it was set up in the apartment when I arrived and the delivery people were not very bright. Put the Dryer farthest from the vent, washer farthest from faucets, and put hot and cold hoses on opposite spigots. I did not want to chance they set up the steam section wrong, as well. I moved across country 1 year later, but have trust the W/D would do well. My last Sears brand (made by Whirlpool) only had one minor problem (on warranty) and lasted a good 8-10 years before moving and selling them to another couple. They were still in wonderful working order (front loader).

Purchased this Whirlpool Duet washer WFW920ww00 in 2011. 6 service calls while under 1 year warranty. The mother board was replaced..... after I smelled smoke and burning. Had trouble draining.... error codes F9E2 and F9E1 and SD (suds) and low flow were the usual. At times took 4-6 runs to get it through to point where I could open door. Often need to unplug for 20 minutes in order for it to progress. Clothes would not ring out... or be floating in water. Lately had to run on medium spin just to get it to work at all. The odor/smell was horrible and the rubber ring was black with mold after the 1st year. Completely stopped working this week, no power to panel. The repair shop said to not bother.... he has had customers replace 2 or 3 major parts in these and still keep getting the annoying error codes and difficulty making it through a complete wash. Moving on and buying something else.

Whirlpool Cambridge Model #WTW7300DW0 - Someone needs to help us consumers
Whirlpool Cambridge Model #WTW7300DW0 - Someone needs to help us consumers with this wash machine purchase being refund our money back from Whirlpool. It literally eats my clothes. I have 23 shirts that have pin holes in them and 1 shirt with large holes in it. I also have a ruined comforter and blanket. The comforter has soap stains everywhere which dont come out so its not cleaning the clothes, the blanket (which Ive had for over 30 years) was frayed one side, seam torn off - the piece never came out of the wash machine. I have pictures attached of the damaged. Its suppose to be Water Efficient - thats a joke! I do 1 set of king sheets. It runs for an hour and 20 minutes and fills water to the rim of the washer and does this twice. Id like them to pay for my water bills! Oh they came to service it only to tell me I was putting the clothes in wrong. The service company said I had to put the clothes against the sides and leave the middle open. They told me there was nothing wrong but consumer error. Well I did clothes today and aligned them like the service company said - 4 more shirts were ruined. Called Whirlpool today. They said they were sending someone else out to fix the problem and said, Unfortunately, we dont pay for damaged goods. Well from all the reviews I read Whirlpool needs to suck it up and recall this piece of crap they call a wash machine. Did I mention its only 1 year old, yea this is horrible!

Appliance repairman is coming tomorrow. Washer is less than 2 years old and will stop mid-cycle more than once (I re-start it)... At first when I thought the cycle was done I would get ready to move the clothes to the dryer and realize they were all soapy and sometimes they were just massively soaked so something is not working right. Sensor?? Hopefully not the computer panel as that will be too expensive to repair.

Never ever plan to buy a Whirlpool product. I took the washing machine in December 2008. System was not got at first time also. I called service center, and he came and asked to put this and that. Again, it got a problem. This time, he told me to change powder. I was shocked how a powder became a problem for its failure in washing clothes. Next, he told me to put a stand. After a long interval of 6 to 7 months, I got fed up and called him again. He told me it was not in the warranty. Its the worst service. Zero percent satisfaction Hats off to Whirlpool service. Please, friends, never buy cheap Whirlpool products.

All of these awful reviews and you continue to sell the Made in China JUNK!
All of these awful reviews and you continue to sell the Made in China JUNK!!! And shame on the stores that advertise and sell Whirlpool JUNK!! They should put a warning on these machines stating Will not last, gets off balance and does not clean your clothes. Yes we bought the Cabrio like the others, our clothes would not get clean, because like sheets, would end up looking like a doughnut without a hole and all of the dirty water would drain through the middle and make a spot. Then you have to wash them over and over. But that is not the worse part! It only lasted 13 months, YES I said 13 months just past the warranty LOL!!When the man came to make repairs, it was the gear box and was going to cost almost $600. Almost as much as we paid for the machine. He recommended getting a Speed Queen, we did and I LOVE it!! I think it is the BEST MACHINE I have ever had. They are a little hard to find though, but I found where they were sold on the internet and the dealer had to order it. Well worth the time and trouble, (trouble) which I dont expect to have with this machine. Like I said it is a wonderful beast. And I will never buy another product made by Whirlpool. Before my husband retired he made prototypes for autos so he knows about testing and Whirlpool had to know this product had bad flaws before they put it on the market, I call that fraud. Bad taste in my wallet, Michigan.

We have been married 36 years. Since year one, me and my wife have owned nothing but Whirlpool appliances. They lasted forever. Approximately 4 years ago, we redid our home, and bought all new appliances, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, front loader, washer, and dryer, Since then, 4 years ago, our refrigerator ice maker stopped working. 2 years ago, our dishwasher wont heat up, so it is useless to us, and the bearings in the washer are shot. I must say we are so disappointed in Whirlpool. We are barely living on my husbands income as I had to stop working 3 years ago, as I became disabled, but did not make enough money to be able to collect disability. We cannot afford new appliances, nor to fix them. I am sending you the model numbers of each appliance, hoping you will do something to help. This is just ridiculous. It is just my husband and me in the house (washer: WFW9200SQ02; refrigerator: GD5NVAXSA01; dishwasher: no model number, but it is Energy Star II 8575637). Please help. We cannot afford to replace this, nor repair. It is hard for me to go to the laundromat, then come home to dry. Standing long periods to to dishes, takes a toll on me. Please help.

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio in November 2009. I am just four months shy of the two-year mark and it is dead! I paid a lot for the machine because I thought it was worth the investment. It was not mistreated in any way! The problem is in the computer part of the machine.Everyone knows that to have a repair person come out is costly in itself, add to that repairs and parts, and it isnt worth it to fix an appliance most of the time. I will never purchase Whirlpool again. Never. I could have bought three cheap machines for this one Whirlpool, and had a couple of backups in the event that one quit on me! Now I have a fancy washer and a mountain of laundry! Thanks, Whirlpool.

I have a 3 1/2 year old 9400WFW WP washer with a 70 error code. After viewing complaints on various websites, it appears this is a large scale problem with Whirlpool Duet owners. I just got off the phone with WP customer service and explained how many complaints are out there for F70 code error, yet they do not have a recall on this part! How can this be justified? This is a non-mechanical part of the washing machine. The life expectancy should be more than 3 years. My washer is not overused as there are only 2 people in the household. I do not want to pay the cost to repair this. I think WP should issue a part recall on this model. Does anyone know how to find out how many replacement CCU or CPUs have been purchased in relation to the number of 9400 WFW sold or if there may be a chance that WP needs to reconsider a recall?

I just bought a Whirlpool Duet Front Loader, and it vibrates excessively and wont fully rinse out all of the detergent. I have to take the tray out each time and rinse. Also, it has a musty smell.Whirlpool sent a repairman out to replace the shocks on a washer that is less than 2 months old. The repairman told me to use less detergent, but I am only using a teaspoon of powder detergent which is recommended and using Affresh once a month. There is nothing they can do about it till it is deemed unrepairable.

I purchased the fridge 2nd hand in 2013. It was 10 years old at the time. It is still going strong & I purchased it because it has a frost-free freezer that never needs de-frosting and I love the features & size - its the PERFECT FRIDGE. What I look for in a fridge is its colour - I like metal, steel grey colour. I go for reputation & quality. Frost free is the biggest factor that determines my purchases, long-term (10-year min.) warranty & guarantee, size.

I suppose the idea was good - less water. However, when you are washing clothes, water and agitation are key. Without an agitator, clothes are just spun around with water and detergent. This washing machine (WTW4950XW2) couldnt clean any dirt off clothes. Clothes go in dirty. They come out damp, wrinkled, and dirty. I got this washing machine free from my father and am thinking I got ripped off. No wonder he gave it away. Piece of junk.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer in 2007. They have been the biggest pieces of junk. One year after my purchase, the water pump broke and had to be replaced for $100 and that is with my husband doing it. Then the dryer broke twice. Now, the washer is not spinning. He took it apart and I purchased $80 in parts. It still doesnt spin. He thinks the motor went and it gives a p50 code. This washer does make holes in your clothes. So many of my summer tops were ruined because of this washer. A friend has the same washer and she started getting the holes in the clothes, so that is how we figured it out. Today, I went and picked up a washer at my rental home, a GE that is 10 years old. My clothes never felt cleaner and it runs like a charm. That Cabrio always smelled like mildew because it seemed like all the water didnt drain out of it and it would sit in the bottom. What a shame. Its only 6 years old and I paid $800 for it and for parts. My husband cant wait to put it on the curb on garbage day. My friend warrantied hers and when the guy couldnt fix the problem, they gave her partial money back. At least she got something. These should be recalled and we should get partial money back depending on how old it is. I will tell everyone not buy these. They are the biggest pieces of junk!

In 2013, my husband purchased a Whirlpool Hot Water Heater model #E2F40RD045V 40 gal. from Lowes in Vancouver, WA. On 12/12/15, had to call a plumber, the hot water heater was intermittent hot/cold. He flushed it, checked all power connections and changed the elements. On 3/18/16, NO hot water. Having a 6 year warranty, I called Whirlpool. They gave all kinds of excuses and told me to try a bunch of tests. By the time I got back to call them they were closed. I called them again on Monday 3/21/16 and said nothing worked and it had popped the breaker. They said change the elements. I told them I had just changed the elements 3 months before. I told them it was faulty wiring. They said the top element must be faulty. I gave up at that point and called the plumber. He came right out the next day. I had purchased a Rheem hot water heater to install and asked him to check the Whirlpool hot water heater elements he installed before he removed it. That is when it was discovered that under the insulation around the bottom element it was all scorched from FAULTY wiring. I called Whirlpool again and told them I could send them a picture and they said dont bother and immediately gave me an RA to return the hot water heater to Lowes. I told them I had already purchased another hot water heater and it was not a Whirlpool. I am going to request a refund.
