I purchased a new Whirlpool washer, from day one it did not work, for the past month I have been trying to fix the problem with service people. The service people were at my house 5 times without any positive results. I was told by Whirlpool representative that they will not replace the washer or give me my money back, they have 12 months to fix the problem. I have never seen such a bad customer service and arrogance towards a customer. I will never buy anything manufactured by this company.

I have the same issue with cooking time on my Whirlpool wall oven (WFE54OHOES). Bought it in January and have not yet had a single recipe come out cooked. Outside is crisp, inside uncooked, after twice the amount of time it used to take. Its still under warranty. Service came out and told me to bake differently. Thats an answer for you. I am going to pursue this issue with Best Buy where we purchased it.

I purchased a Whirlpool Ref side by side 11-2013. I have had nothing but trouble. First the Ice maker leaked, was fixed. The door to the ref has had serviced 5 times. The tech after many times trying to fix hinge on door twice was told to order new door. This took 6-8 week to get. Came today 5-27-15 too but new door on. It is still not right, has big gap in the middle - still not level as should be. I have called Customer Service again today with no help. All they want you to do is spend more money on a contract. I THOUGHT WHIRLPOOL WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOD PRODUCT......NOTTA....WILL NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN. SO IF YOU EVER BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT BE SURE TO GET EXTENDED WARRANTY. YOU MIGHT NEED IT..........STILL NOT SATISFIED AND NO HELP IN SIGHT.

I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave (model WMH3205XVQ) on 9/27/10 and have replaced the door now for the second time due to the plastic cracking. I also discovered today that the plastic has again cracked on the vent grill and the control panel. The door, vent grill, and control panel were all replaced on 8/19/2011, under warranty. It appears to me that Whirlpool has a manufacturing defect which they need to address with the consumers who have purchased these products.

We have owned our refrigerator approximately 7 years. We have replaced this fan 3 times and now it went out again. The store we purchased it is now out of business. I am so flustered I do not know if we should replace it again or buy a new refrigerator, I can guarantee we will not be buying another Whirlpool. Their part runs about $50 but how do we know that is not going to go out again?

Sounds crazy, but the outside of my stainless steel door is all dented. I live alone and one day noticed that it looks like someone body slammed my fridge. Is there air in the door panels that could be escaping or something like that? Anyone hear of this?

Whirlpool Calibri washing machine - I have the washer for 4 years and have replaced four computer boards to the tune of nearly $300 each. When Whirlpool was told of my experience, they said they were sorry. Obviously, I am too and will not buy again. You would think they would give me one board at no cost, but I guess words are cheap.

My parents bought a Whirlpool washer machine and the machine was fine for the first two years, then water started leaking from the bottom of the machine and no one has yet to fix the problem! They have the worst customer service department. The A&E worker who came to my parents house smelled, wasted a bunch of time working on the machine and didnt fix anything! The A&E worker visited my parents house over 10 times and the problem still wasnt fixed! They (worker) have ordered parts after parts and still water keeps running from the bottom of the machine! Someone, please help and cut Whirlpool from the stores! Ive spent almost a whole on the phone trying to help out my elderly parents! Its ** and a lot of headache! Never use Whirlpool; theyre all crap!

I ordered this Whirlpool 29 cu.ft. white french door refrigerator online from Goedeckers on April 26, 2013. Delivered May 15, 2013. Ever since we got it, there was a frost buildup in left back of ref. Also ice would fall out of dispenser all by itself. Also a buildup of ice under ice bin. Water would also drip from dispenser. We thought maybe since it was new these problems would go away. But they just got worse. I called Whirlpool & they sent out tech on 8/12/13. He told me Whirlpool has a problem with these refrigerators & would order parts. Well after 3 times of cancelling repairman due to parts on backorder, I told repair I would call when parts come in. I keep calling Whirlpool & keep hearing parts are on backorder, saying parts will be in in 7 days. I call back in 7 days and hear the same lies. Its a shame that they cant get parts in knowing that there is a major problem. It sounds like a real quality control problem. I really pride myself on buying American made but Whirlpool is not helping my case for buying American made. It would be nice if they offered to replace it being they cant seem to find parts.

Called Whirlpool customer care for help with identifying make and model number of a slide-in, ceramic cook-top range (one of their popular brands). The representative was cordial, patient and very helpful when it came to giving me directions on how to locate make/model information on the unit. That was until I let her know about a recent problem with the stove. The edge of the cooktop is much too sharp! My hand got cut while wiping down the stove top/adjacent counter. Although Ive had the stove for a while, Id never had that happen before; thats probably because I used a thin rag this time around to do the cleaning. I asked the rep if anyone else had reported getting cut by the stove top. She said, No. I let her know that my goal was to just them know about the situation, because such a sharp edge on a cooktop is a safety issue. She disagreed. But what could or should she have said? In all fairness, it came down to balancing loyalty to the company with genuine care for the customer.I do appreciate how kind she was in communicating with me, but am very displeased that once Id shared about the problem she seemed rather dismissive of the situation. How could the risk of being cut NOT be a product safety issue??? If you visit the Consumer Products Safety Commission website, you can see where risk of laceration is a reason some products are recalled. Based on that understanding, I would say that sharp edges on a ceramic cooktop IS a safety issue!

I had my Whirlpool Quiet Partner 11 Portable Dishwasher for less than a year when it started leaving dirt, food particles, and white cloudy film on my glasses and dishes in the top basket. It got so bad that we started to wash the dishes twice but it would not clean the dishes. We called a repairman out to see what the problem could be. He checked everything and told us nothing was wrong with the dishwasher and to clean it with CLR. We cleaned it with CLR twice and the dishes looked better with the first wash. The next wash was the same with leaving grit and dried food particles on the glasses. I am now washing my dishes by hand if I want to clean dishes. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my dishwasher? I am ready to buy a new one but not a Whirlpool.

Have had it replaced. It is not a great value. Need one with freezer on the bottom. Will buy another brand. Not 2 years old making noise and it sounds like someone pounding on the side after the doors are open. This is a side by side fridge and has space but I question when this will go out.

The refrigerator I have is 3 years old and the service tech will be at my house on Thursday to put the third comp. in it. I have lost all my food 2 times. Times are hard. I would like to talk to a person not a machine.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio with the touch panel and top loader. The absolute worst. The machine leaves white marks all over dark clothes even when the extra rinse feature is used. Ive tried multiple detergents, skipping fabric softener completely, using very little detergent, and even tried different water temperatures. Nothing works. And should one have to go through such extremes to not have white streaks left on dark clothes? Absolutely not especially for the money spent.The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if youve intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

My Whirlpool refrigerator is about 13 months old and the paint is peeling off. I was told my an associate at whirlpool that I could have a service person come replace it for approximately $500. And this is only for one door not both.

My brand new Whirlpool washing machine has been nothing but trouble from the day we first used it. We are now reaching out to try to contact the warranty department. Weve tried email and phone both and are having ZERO luck even getting a human to talk to about the problems. No response. Took forever to even find what we thought was accurate contact info. Lowes doesnt stand behind it. Now Whirlpool has a crap warranty department. We were warned and should have never bought it to start with. It is a total waste of money.

In January 2011, we bought several appliances and a refrigerator was one of them. The model number is G15VAXVQ01 which is a side by side, French Door Ref with water and ice on outside. We have had problems with the very cheap plastic drawers that are at the bottom of the refrigerator to hold vegetables and meat. We have to be extremely careful so they will not break when opening the drawers. As of late, the fruit and vegetables have been freezing. I went to change the temperature on the outside gauge and dropped the control to 33 degrees and it stuck there. I tried to unplug the refrigerator to reboot the system, to no avail. The temperature is stuck at 33 degrees which will freeze most of our food in a few hours. The freezer side temperature gauge does work.We also have problems with the ice/water machine. I pushed the water button a week ago and from then on, I couldnt get the ice to come on. I did unplug the refrigerator to reboot and then I was able to switch over to the ice, but I could not get back to the water side. Also, there is no crusher on this machine so the ice comes out in chunks. If we had to do over again, we would not buy a Whirlpool as it appears that they are not interested anymore in quality products and consider cheap junk something to be desired. Not by us! We will get this albatross fixed and see about getting rid of it. It is a buyer beware market so I suggest others beware of Whirlpool products.

My washing machine would not spin dry. I had a new pressure switch replaced to a tune of $180.00 which was only 26 months old. I have always bought Whirlpool but this will be my last whirlpool appliance.

I purchased a Duet Dryer less than a year ago and it stopped working. Got the warranty people to send someone to diagnose it. The repair person ordered two parts to fix it (they took the control panel off the order for some reason). They sent a second inept person to try and install the part they did send and it did not work (He was the most condescending person I have ever met but that is another story.). Of course it did not work and they actually have to replace the control panel AND the electrical panel (which as you know was ordered by the original tech, but taken off the order by who knows?). Now they are telling me that the part that they should have ordered 2 weeks ago is on back order until sometime in May. All I am getting from Whirlpool is lip service and they honestly do not care one tiny little bit that I have a dryer under warranty that will not have been working now for close to six weeks. This is unacceptable business practices.For the record I bought the unit at LOWES and they too refuse to stand behind the product. Basically told me tough they have nothing to do with it. I also purchased an $8000 Kitchenaid (Whirlpool) Refrigerator 5 years ago and the control panel went out about 4 years later. They stopped making the part and I have to THROW away an $8000 refrigerator because they dont make the part for it. As evidenced above, Whirlpool products do not stand the test of time and when they do break (even under warranty), they cannot fix them in a timely manner or at all in the case of the refrig (not under warranty). I caution every reader of this diatribe to choose wisely WHERE you purchase your appliances and carefully select a brand other than Whirlpool (and its brand affiliates of Kitchenaid, Jenn-air, Amana and certain Kenmore products).

This is the information I tried to send to Whirlpool only to get a message that it was undeliverable: I purchased a set of whirlpool cabrio washer and dryer on 10-23-2013 (model numbers WTW8540BW, and WED8500BW). On 01-25-15 the washing machine failed to power up just over 2 months out of the standard warranty. This wasnt the low end cheap models. With cash discounts we paid over $1600.00 for the set. After a $70.00 dollar charge to the repairman we are told that the unit has a bad electric control board (part # W10761026). And unfortunately the part is on back order until March 1st, 2015 as of right now. So if and when the repairman gets the part and installs it, I get to pay him an additional $260.00. My family has always been such a dedicated Whirlpool appliance purchaser but this is wrong.Oh I almost forget, now I have to rent a washing machine at a cost of $55.00 per month until mine is repaired. I believed I was purchasing Whirlpool quality. The type of quality that doesnt need an extended warranty because Whirlpool is made to last correct? Please assist me in making this situation right and restore my faith in the quality I was raised with in Whirlpool products.

We purchased a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes in 2011. Everything was fine up until June 2015. We got the dreaded 4 flashes. We called for service to come out, that costed us around $300. December 23rd of 15 it goes out again. We called Whirlpool instead of a service company and the part was under warranty. We paid for overnight shipping but because of the holiday it was not guaranteed. We told them we are fine with Sat. delivery. In the meantime we had to cancel a holiday party scheduled at our house the 24th. We waited around all day Sat. for the part to show and nothing. We called Whirlpool to get the tracking number and we find out that the other service rep didnt mark our package for Sat. delivery. I am very close to just buying a new heater. I am trying to tell everyone I can about how horrible Whirlpool is. I feel sorry for any suckers that buy based on the name and dont do their research.

I have a Whirlpool built-in double oven. It is 7 years old. The top oven has overheated 3 times with food in it and it locks the door. The oven beeps and says, Too hot, and locks the door. Luckily I was in the kitchen when it overheated, so I could turn the oven off. After turning the oven off, the oven has to cool off before the door will unlock and the food can be taken out. By then, the food is really burnt.I called Whirlpool to see if there is a recall and they said, No recall, and the oven was out of warranty. So I called the repair shop. They said it was the control board and they were not sure they could get a new control board. I may have to find someone that can rebuild this control board. They said not to use the oven. It could cause a fire. I would think that they should recall these ovens. They should have a safety switch that shuts the oven off if it overheats like mine has done.

My 2-year-old Whirlpool Gold Series model replaces a 20-year-old Roper. So far it has exceeded expectations for low noise and useful features like validated Sani-Rinse. Has all the normal features plus Eco-Dry, Sani-Rinse, delayed start, five levels/cycles of cleaning, and hi-Temp wash. Fits where the old Roper used to be and handles a full load of dishes with room to spare except Thanksgiving, which takes two loads. Smooth black front with touch buttons and blue lights. Looks nice. Using Sani-Rinse seems to take a long time, generally around 3-hours for a full wash cycle. Besides being ultra-quiet, the unit is very energy efficient earning good Energy Efficiency and water efficiency ratings.

Bought the Duet front loader washer and dryer. Nothing but problems and repairs. When I decided to throw in the towel and buy new machines my repair man convinced me to buy Whirlpool again - Cabrio. Said they are amazing. Love them except the holes in my shirts. I bag my delicates but apparently I have to bag everything. So sorry I bought them. There was a day when you could count on Whirlpool. Replacing my crappy Whirlpool gold refrigerator right now too. Hoping LG will be better. Already replaced my Whirlpool dishwasher. Went to Maytag. This company has gone downhill. My mom had these appliances for 20 plus years - I spend thousands and cant get 5 years!!! Dont buy Whirlpool!

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 washer based off the salesmans recommendation (not very happy about this). After the warranty ran out, every time in the spin cycle, it makes a sound similar to a piece of metal banging around inside the cylinder during the cycle. Our friends have told us they had a similar experience and for their machine, they found out the bearings were going out. Weve had this machine a total of 3 years. I doubt we ever buy another item from HH Gregg plus will do our investigation on Consumer Buyers digest before we toss any more money out for a washing machine.

First whirlpool 3 door with ice maker in door failed in less than a year. Took 6 months to resolve issue, several service calls, at least 30 calls to Lowes and Whirlpool with little or no response. Nobody wanted to take responsibility to do something about my broken fridge. Even the authorized repair guy didnt want to touch it, didnt want to ruin his reputation because they wont stay fixed. Another service guy wanted to take it to the shop to repair, of course I would be responsible for pickup and delivery charge. Found out the repair was an in home repair, so didnt use that guy, I felt like he was trying to rip me off.I finally got to the right people in whirlpool organization and they replaced the fridge, that took another two weeks. I found everything takes two weeks. The replacement was supposed to be same model with upgrade, this is gold series fridge Ive been talking about. New fridge has failed also, seems like same symptoms. It lasted 1 yr and 4 or 5 months. I guess not too bad for a top of the line refrigerator, made by Whirlpool. Gonna give them a chance to make it right or I am considering hauling it around in my truck with a sign on it. Not trying to punish the distributor, just Whirlpool. This product is so bad the government should step in and force Whirlpool to give money back.

We purchased it from Best Buy. It was a good thing we got the extended warranty. They completely rebuilt it two times. In the 6 years we have had the washer. The motherboard went out. The bearings went out. The only thing nice I can say is that it’s a top loader and doesn’t get smelly like the front loaders do.

The burners were very crooked and the pans got burned out right away. They were covered under warranty but since then, they had the same problem with them with the new items. They had the light bulb stuck and couldnt get it out, they came under warranty and now a new light bulb wont work in it. The control top indicator light didnt work so I had that fixed under the warranty, but now it has the same problem and I cant afford to get it fixed and it could be a real safety issue.When it was under warranty, I called about the brown in between the oven door and they said it was cosmetic. It gets worse every time we use the self-cleaning oven like the seal isnt tight. The outside of the door gets brown also when using the self-cleaning oven. We thought we would have this range for a long time as we had a Whirlpool range before which lasted 20 years. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again and we have had a lot of them. e cant afford to buy a new one so we are stuck with this one with all its problems. Whirlpool just gives you the runaround when you call. When they brought the range, the self-cleaning oven part wasnt even hooked up so they had to come back and fix it. I cant believe they dont have more recalls on these. I have only had this for 4 years.

I spent the extra money and bought a very nice looking Whirlpool range and oven. Within months, it started rusting. I keep a meticulously clean kitchen and Ive never had this problem with any other appliance. I sent letters to no avail. They said that their warranty on rust was 30 days! They refused to do anything about it and told me to go ahead and sue them. Terrible product. Defective from the factory. Do not ever buy a Whirlpool product as they do not stand behind it.

I bought a whirlpool washer because we thought it was the best. It does not clean our clothes especially my husbands jeans. They are on their third wash at this minute. I use Gain HE detergent. I bought clorox 2, I use spray & wash & I have even started using a little clorox but the red dirt still doesnt come out. I never had this problem with my old washer. If there is any help for me here please let me know. If this is supposed to be a water saver I dont see how I have saved any after washing jeans for the third time. If they are not clean this time, I guess he will wear them dirty.

My Cabrio washing machine is a hunk of scrap metal after five years of lite use. Replaced the electronics first, then a year or so later replaced the motor. Now its leaking from the bottom. Repair man said it is not fixable. I did not buy a warranty because it was too expensive compared to the value of the washing machine. My recommendation to anyone buying a Whirlpool appliance is to buy the cheapest thing on the market, so that you can throw it away when it breaks because they are made to break so that they can sell you extended warranties.

I purchased a Whirlpool 50 gallon gas hot water heater 3 years ago. I have 3 daughters all in school age. When my old one finally quit due to tank failure and out of warranty, I went to Lowes and bought a 6 year warranty hot water heater costing around $600. Now I figured you get what you pay for RIGHT! WRONG! So about 2 years ago the pilot light started to just go out on occasion, a bit of an inconvenience but there was no default code warning me of any other issues. So typically we just relight it. I called Whirlpool to get help with this issue, but they wanted me to pay for a technician to diagnose the problem. Um isnt that what the warranty is for? I said dont bother. Im not paying $150 for someone to tell me what I already know. Ill just keep relighting it myself. So finally the pilot light goes out for the 100th time but this time I go to reignite it and BOOM! It sounded like a twelve gauge shot gun going off in my face! Then it flutters flames into the chimney of the hot water heater. Scared the crap out of me at first. But it finally stopped and run fine. Well Im laying in bed a few nights later and woke up to a loud thumping noise, I go down stairs and it stops. The following day Im in the kitchen and THUMP THUMP THUMP BURP BURP BURP. Run over to the hot water heater closet and theres the flames shooting out of the gas valve into the hot water heater then BOOM! Its out! The valve unit finally took a crap I guess. I call Whirlpool again to get my warranty - this time it definitely needs to be replaced. So the guy tells me the parts are covered in the warranty but a technician needs to look at it first and the technician Ill have to pay.. Excuse me but what the ** did you just say? I have to pay for a technician to look at your failing part? No I dont think so! Just send me the part - Ill replace it myself. Im a millwright electrician by trade. I specialize in power plants and refineries. Im sure this little gas valve wont be a problem. I spoke with these idiots on a Friday and he said I could have it ground shipped for free and it should be here in 5-6 days or pay extra for quicker delivery. What the hell did he just say? I could pay extra for quicker delivery on Whirlpools faulty part? ** whirlpool should be saying Well have the part overnight to you.Now since it was a 3 day weekend theres no sense in me paying $40 to have it delivered 3 day because it still wouldnt arrive until close to the five day. So I just looked to see where my damn part is because it shouldve been here by now according to the guy on the phone. NOPE! Its set to be delivered in 5 more ** days. DONT BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT. THEY DO NOT PRACTICE ETHICS.

I bought the Ikea dishwasher (model IUD8500BX1) in 2014. Because it’s from Ikea, it has 5 year warranty. I was using it daily, as I have a family of 5 and we cook and eat at home most days. I have called Whirlpool at least 4 times according to the repairman that was here today. Ive already had to replace the pump because it was holding up water. After which, mold started occurring in the washer. The technician who came out found 4 fault codes on the machine. He was prepared to replace sensors and the circuit board for the heater and the pump, since it likely had mold. But Whirlpool says the parts are functional therefore the replacement parts won’t fix it. He is not allowed to replace anything.Considering the mold is an after effect of the failure to drain, you would think they would fix the mold as well. A replacement dishwasher would be nice, but at least replacement of the internal plastic parts that I cant clean. Instead, they tell me to bleach wash it and run a cycle with bleach. Guess what, Ive already done that. And according to the technician hes never seen a dishwasher have this much mold when it’s used as often as I use it. If you are buying this product thinking they will stand by their product, think again.

I just purchased a brand new refrigerator from Whirpool and after 2 weeks been delivered I started having a lot of issues. They sent a technician twice to get it FIX but Im still having the same problem. And they dont want to replace the unit. They want to keep sending technicians to make the same repairs. Its a NIGHTMARE!! Please do yourself a big favor and buy a different brand. I dont recommend!! By the way this appliances are made in MEXICO!!

I bought a new Whirlpool electric range in the spring of 2008 and purchased the extended warranty from Leons. The oven worked fine for the first three & 1/2 years, but then the bottom element in the oven seemed to have stopped working. The top element would still come on, in an effort to keep the oven at temperature, but was not effective.I called in a repair. The technician showed up, turned the oven on, noted that the bottom element did not come on properly & replaced the motherboard in the control panel with no further diagnosis. The oven worked for approximately 9 months and then the problem recurred. I called in another warranty repair. This time when the technician showed up, he turned the oven on & told me he was going to order a new bottom element, which he installed about a week later, again, with no further diagnosis.Now, here we are again, one month off warranty and 6 mos since the last repair, and again, the bottom element in the oven is not working correctly. I reported the issue & my dissatisfaction to Whirlpool and was basically told, How sad, too bad - hardware components fail and theres nothing we are going to do about it. Seriously? This range is just barely 5 years old and has a history of repeated problems with the bake function - obviously, something is defective in this product.I can see it, if I had not had any problems until this point, but when the same issue keeps coming up & obviously has not been correctly diagnosed and repaired, I would think they would have enough integrity to offer some kind of help or solution. Given the history here, its highly unlikely that Im going to be willing to spend big bucks on another attempted repair that, in all likelihood, will be merely a short term band-aid, so Ill probably have to buy another new range - which I cant really afford right now. Trust me, it will not be a Whirlpool & it will not be from Leons.

Multiple issues with the Gold Series. Have lost two refrigerators full of food!!! First problem was ice on the back wall of the fridge. 2 years later refrigerator is not blowing cold air and it is only 4 years old!!! Terrible product!!

Purchased top loading Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW0 10/12/2015 at Best Buys, first no agitator machine for us. Two weeks later I call for repair service because of the noise from tub. Explained in other reviews as earthquake or jet engines. The machine is in the garage and can be heard through the walls into the house. Repair tells this is normal for the machine and it must be our first none agitator machine.I then purchased a extended warranty policy through Whirlpool. 12/13/2016 machine no longer washing clothes. Call Whirlpool for service. Repair came out 01/17/2017 (a month later). Washer plate had to be replaced. The gear was completely shredded. Not in stock, waited 2 weeks to get repaired. Tension springs on outer tub replaced at same time. Was told the excessive grinding and bumping of the tub was not the reason for the gear shredding.06/30/2017 same problem, I set a repair date 07/01/2017 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one shows and no call. I call Whirlpool and they are sorry and set the appointment the same day for before 5:00 p.m. No one shows our calls. I call back. Already closed. I call the next day. Sets a new date 07/05/2017, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Same problem. I called back speak to a supervisor who says hell get to problem and find out whats wrong. Sets a new date 07/08/2017 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. 07/07/2017 I get a call after 5:00 p.m. that the repairman is not available and can we reset for 07/13/2017. I hung up and called back the next day and spoke to a supervisor I had previously spoke with. He called an outside repair company that Whirlpool uses in this area. New date 07/12/2017. Repairman shows and I explain the washer plate was loose again and I smelled metal burning. I had told my wife to continue to use the machine to wash the clothes. The repairman tells me I voided the warranty by doing this. Im standing in the garage while he has his head in the machine trying to get the washer plate out. He shuts the lid and turns the machine on wash/spin says the machine is ok. We have an exchange of words and tell him I want to see the washer plate gears. He says he cant get the plate out now and I wasnt there for him to show it to me. This continued until he forced the plate off. He called Tech Support to say I voided the warranty. He told them customer claims loud noises and banging. I asked to speak to Tech but he tells me they dont speak with the customer. I looked at the gears on the washer plate and the transmission. Both had metal shavings. He tells me he is going to do me a favor and replace both. Its supposed to take a week. Wait and see. I have asked for a replacement or money for the machine through Whirlpool. I was told there has to be at least 4 repair requests for the same problem and the repairman has to determine that there is a problem or that its a lemon. I will not recommend or purchase another Whirlpool product.

From the day I bought the refrigerator the icemaker has not worked. I have had a estimation of service calls (8) and nobody seems to be able to fix it. Whirlpool mailed me a new icemaker and still the exact problem; water and ice works but the unit still will not cube or crush ice; which by the way is the reason I bought a new refrigerator. My thoughts are I bought a lemon and the entire fridge needs to be replaced.

We purchased a new stainless steel Whirlpool refrigerator in February 2015. Within the first few days the fridge door handle broke off. Not that we have super human strength in our 60s but the handle connection is a very thin plastic. We put it down to the possibility that the warehouse or shippers may have banged it and perhaps we just didnt notice the initial crack. The handle was out of stock so it took 8 weeks before the new one arrived. This week the freezer door handle cracked! Same problem - cheap plastic handle connector doesnt withstand the vacuum seal. Whirlpools handle connection to the door is comprised of a 1/8th inch thick by 1/4 inch square piece of brittle plastic. This is screwed onto the door. In reality this needs to be metal. Enough said… Check out the handle connection before you buy this appliance. You will wait months for replacement parts as they cannot seem to keep enough of them in stock.

When received there was a black dot on freezer door. It was replaced. Door handle on doors did not line up. Tried to tell repairman and he wouldn’t listen until the third handle on the refrigerator was replaced. Plastic handle broke three times when under warranty. Now freezer handle has broken! Plastic where screws attach handle is stupid. I’m extremely disappointed in product.

I bought a Whirlpool washer and drying matching set (model 6400sw3). I liked it because it was extra large without agitator in the middle. Ive had it for about 2-3 years and I have already replaced the drain pump, motor and barrens, it has cost me over 500.00. I thought now OK its working fine, but now its giving me a code every time I wash of LD. I am so fed up with this!! I should have bought a new washer but I felt as much as I put into it, I basically built a new one. And now this code comes up every time and I have to power it off. Im not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I just dont know what else could go wrong with this. I will never ever buy a piece of junk like this again!!

I am very happy with my Whirlpool appliance- oven. Ive had it for almost 5 years, with hardly any issues. -Its very user-friendly when I need to program any cooking instructions. Both the elements & the actual oven cook everything to a perfect.

We purchased a new Whirlpool dishwasher in June of 2014. By February 2015 the racks were rusting. I called loses warranty and they referred me to Whirlpool since it was still under a year old and covered by the manufacturer warranty. They said no problem and would have new ones sent out. Three months later I still did not get them. I called them back and they said that they were not covering them due to rust being normal. This is the absolute worst customer service and it says a lot about how Whirlpool stands behind their products.

I have 1 month old gas range, bought from Costco.. I was cooking chicken and it is just explode.. Called to Whirlpool company and they act like they don’t really care about it... I am shocked.. I search google and you can find other incidents with whirlpool explosion.. Just google it.. I am sooo upset with this company.. My kids were with me when it happened.. Do not buy whirlpool products...

My new ACCU-BAKE oven was not baking properly. Always uneven results. Finally called for service, just in time before the warranty expired. The service rep informed me that I had not bought a convection oven. Well, duh! Of course, I knew that! He tested the temperature levels inside the oven and found a variance of 10 degrees Celsius, which he reported by phone to the company. He advised me to reach into the oven half-way through any baking process to turn my cake around, and it would bake evenly. I asked him if he had ever tried that himself. No, he said, he was not a baker. That was the end of the service call. No follow-up, no service. Today I learned that the company actually has this exchange in its records, but if I want to get the oven to work properly Ill have to pay for service, as the warranty has expired. I wonder what would happen if I ever tried the self-clean or Sabbath mode features on this oven.

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator December 2011, it is now 3 yrs. old, keeps shutting itself off. There is nothing under the troubleshooting area of the instructions for this. I called Whirlpool, they said I have to pay a tech to come here and troubleshoot. The warranty is 1 years, so after paying over 1k for an appliance, that gets you 1 year! I try to support American made, but no more Whirlpools here! I have all Whirlpool appliances, but Im guessing they wont last either. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service.

I love the French doors with the ease of seeing everything when you open the doors. The only thing I do not like about this unit is the ice maker. If there is more than one person in the household there is never enough ice. Also the ice gets hung up inside the ice maker often.

I went to Lowes and purchased a new kitchen full of appliances. The refrigerator is the bottom freezer, French door with water inside. The problem is the freezer stays cold and the refrigerator does not. The vent from the freezer gets frozen, and the refrigerator part stops working. Its only 3 years old . We were told it would cost 700 bucks to fix it, and that a power surge could make it happen again. The capitol of power surges, Florida, what a complete waste of money. I spent my life in retail selling their products. Im so sorry to all who have purchased from me... Its really a terrible product. I would give you all a refund if I could. This really hurts...

Its just OK, the electric cook top heats up slowly, but once heated works OK. Oven is just average! Glass cooktop stains easily and shows some discoloration in places. The glass on the oven door is also discolored on the inside and not cleanable!

First of all, I want to thank all of you who took the time to write all your comments. You have helped educate me in many ways. For one thing, I had no idea that Whirlpool made such bad appliances, or at least water heaters. I pretty much grew up in a Whirlpool household. But that was a long time ago. Things change. Anyway, I too bought a Whirlpool from Lowes about four years ago. It was the top of the line 50 gallon energy saver, and it has had problems staying lit for the whole time I have owned it. Because I read your comments before contacting Whirlpool (this time), I knew exactly what to expect. And that is what I got at first--someone trying to sell me parts via shipping costs. I said no to that, and a rep called and offered to replace the unit, which is exactly what Whirlpool should have done for all of you. I am writing this out of courtesy for Whirlpool. They did the right thing for me, and I truly do appreciate that. On the other hand, Lowes wants $700 to deliver and install the new unit. I live seven miles from the store. They set my other water, the Whirlpool I purchased from them, up in my garage. It is extremely easy to get to, and it is all up to code. In other words, even though they sold me a defective product and profited from both the sale and the delivery, they now want to do it all over again by charging so much for the set up. They did not even offer to prorate the new install. Of course, I will hire and pay a certified plumber to do the job, but I am very sorry to lose Lowes. I have always enjoyed shopping there. Home Depot is just across the street, and even though I have learned not to purchase a water heater, or any major appliance there either, I will go there from now on. Losing my business might not worry Lowes a whole lot, but two years ago I bought $5,000 worth of fencing from them, and God knows how much over the years. If you and I and all the thousands of other unhappy customers would stop going there, they might feel a bit sorry for doing us all so dirty. Agreed? Thanks again, you guys.

Ordered this two days after my son came home from college. He had to be out of his apartment July 31 2016 and brought 4 years worth of laundry with him. Monday my machine breaks, Tuesday I order this thing from Lowes Arrives at 2:30 on Thursday and as it is being installed I ask why the water fill is so slow. It is trickling out like a childs toy. Delivery man tells me the water is completely turned on. He hears this remark a lot from people who buy this model. I put in my first load of laundry, a small load of about 6 things that I am washing for my mother who is in a nursing home. They have that nursing home smell. I push pause as the machine is cleaning to unlock the lid and peek inside. Oh my God the clothes are sitting on top of each other not even covered in water. I then shut the lid and listen to the tiny slush of the machine agitating. At the end of the cycle they smell exactly the same. Dirty.I had read to use the deep fill so I rewash them on deep fill. Look inside halfway through and what do I see? Wet clothes piled on top of each other, still not floating in water. How are these clothes getting clean when they are in a wet pile on the bottom of the machine? I take them out. Still not clean. Not smelling quite as bad, but not smelling like soap. I then washed sheets, a blanket, and some clothing of my sons. Nothing smelled particularly dirty but NOTHING smelled like soap. The quilt was covered in hairs (my son and roommates had a dog) and soap residue. I had read this in reviews online also. I am wasting time since each load takes from 50 to 130 minutes (yes). I am wasting soap, oh but I am saving water - not really.Well Lowes has a 30 day return policy so I went down there and am expecting a GE machine with an agitator tomorrow, Saturday! Cant wait. The only one saving money are these manufacturers They no longer are spending cash on producing the agitator out of plastic, attaching it with nuts and bolts, or using gaskets between the parts. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK, do not even look at it. I question all the HE machines at this point. You need to use HE soap cause you cant wash away suds in a machine with no water. What a con - the whole thing is.

I have purchased 2 Ikea/Whirlpool ovens in 2011 from Ikea in Canada. I have used the self clean feature on both ovens and both ovens quit completely and the doors stayed locked. This problem is discussed hundreds of times on the internet for Whirlpool, Ikea and Kitchen Aid ovens. Since they are all made by Whirlpool they are all very similar or exactly the same in some cases, as is the problem. I have discussed this with Ikea and they have said they didnt know about the problem but would help to get it fixed to my satisfaction. I have had Whirlpool authorized service repair both ovens but after trying the self clean feature again, same problem.During one of my conversations with an Ikea representative on the phone, she contacted Whirlpool and was told that if the oven was repaired 3 times and deemed by the service technician as unrepairable, Whirlpool would do a buyback. In other words according to Ikea, Whirlpool would take the oven and pay me what I paid for the oven. Well after contacting the authorized service dept (not Whirlpool itself) for the third time, they did some investigation with Whirlpool about the problem. To his and my amazement, Whirlpool has come up with a fix as of October 2013. The technician ordered the new kit and installed it in both ovens. I have since tried the self clean in one oven and this time it worked. For the information of others, Whirlpool has the kit and in it is an instruction sheet with pictures as to how to replace and install all the parts in the kit.I watched the installation, quite a process. From the instruction sheet there is a number on it. Here is the number - w10625529 rev. A 10/13. This is an instruction sheet for Ikea TOD (thermal overload device) service kit. I have looked at many of the service parts diagrams on the internet for many different current models of Ikea, Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid ovens and in most cases almost all the inside parts are the same or very very similar which leads me to the conclusion that this service kit may work in most of these ovens to correct the same problem, but I suggest checking with the appropriate service people before taking my word for it. My observation is that the kit moves the TOD off the top of the metal plate of the oven and onto a new bracket which the tech thought it was to get it further away from heat (this Im not sure of since Im not an expert). He also suggested that this kit may also be designed to allow more air flow around the oven.My only concern after having the self clean feature finally work is the heat produced inside the kitchen cabinet in which the oven is installed. Approximately an hour and a half after turning the self clean on, I felt the side of the cabinet between it and the fridge (open space), and at one area of the wood cabinet I could not hold my hand on the cabinet as it was too very hot. I will be checking the inside of the cabinet for signs of excess heat and if I see any evidence, I will again call the service people. Since the elements were not on when I checked this, I assume the self clean had finished the heat cycle and was in the process of cooling down. When I test the other oven, I will make sure the elements are still on as I can see them thru the glass door. When I checked the temperature of the outside wood cabinet using a laser thermometer, the outside wood registered 64 degrees C or 142 F approximately. Not sure what the inside temperature was as the oven was still in place. Hopefully I will not get a higher reading when the self clean is at its maximum temperature in the cleaning cycle. Will the oven create any problems in the future for the cabinet, I hope not but time will tell. For clarification, the cabinets were built by a kitchen cabinet company using the instruction sheet that came with the ovens. I hope some of this will be of help to some of the hundreds of people who have posted this very same problem on the internet. When you have paid for an appliance you wanted because of the features it came with, it should provide you with what you paid for and not constantly break down. Im lucky as they came with a 5-year warranty so it hasnt cost me anything yet and hopefully wont in the future. Good luck to all in getting this resolved for all of you.

We purchased this dishwasher in June 2014 while putting home back together following fading of our home. Within 6 months of purchase the dishwasher was doing dry washes, and getting very hot touch. Whirlpool sent out repairman who replaced parts that had melted inside dishwasher and the control panel. This same thing happened 2 more times. A repairman came and repaired and replaced parts. In May 2016 it once again was running so hot that it burned hand when opened. Once again repaired but this time it started leaking from front dishwasher. When we talked to whirlpool they sent out repairman and assured us they would pay for any and all damage it had caused. They also replaced dishwasher with Maytag of our choice which they covered all cost. When installers pulled out the unit we learned the dishwasher had most likely been leaking the entire time, water damage up entire wall, cabinets ruined, countertops had been bubbling and separating from wall, floors ruined. We followed all instructions and had three contractors come to do estimates that were from 27,500-30,680. Whirlpool then sent outside adjuster because of cost. We have now received offer of 6700 and told we could take this or submit to our insurance company. Also we now have Mold in kitchen which they are aware of and we think the flooring is now rotting and breaking.

The latch on the attached-to-the-door silverware basket on our Whirlpool GU3600XTVQ3 dishwasher has broken three times since the unit was installed in July 2011. This last time, the technician brought a new one and it broke the next day. I cannot understand why a company with a supposedly good reputation would include an accessory with such a faulty design, made of such flimsy materials. We have the basket wired shut again and have to call the repair place, but I have no confidence that anything the technician brings to us will work any better, since its the same stupid design and shoddy workmanship.

Same old story! Whirlpool Cabrio is a lemon! I did pay a service guy to find out what the problem was - $70. I ordered a control board for $210, I still had the problems. I ordered bearings for $80. Yay, my Cabrio works! Well, this was all 4 months ago and here we go again. My washing machine is doing everything it was before I replaced the brand new parts. Im so mad! I spent $360. I couldve had a new washer, not a $1000 Cabrio, but who cares at this point! Anything seems better than this pile!

This new oven came with my house. I like the oven but hate the aqua clean feature. It is impossible to get the grease off. I cant reach the back sides or the back. I scrub with all my might on parts I can reach but the baked on grease is back with the next use. The aqua clean feature is only good for light spills on the bottom. I like a clean oven. I am now looking to replace a practically new oven which will run me about $2000.00 which I am not happy about. I highly recommend the high heat cleaning feature ovens. I also developed a pitting area on the bottom the size of a quarter & I dont know how that occurred. Buyer beware of aqua cleaning features.

The broiler came on its own during the night. We went to bed at midnight. 4:30 in the morning woke up to a smell, the broiler was going wide open. It had melted the handle off the front of the drawer. There are cookie sheets in the broiler. We dont use it, we have never used it, it was so hot Teflon on the cookie sheets burnt off. The side of the stove was so hot I couldnt touch it to get behind to turn off the gas. It almost burnt my house down. The carpet and the wall are black in the back.

Bought the washer from HH Gregg for over $560 12/2012. Turned on power 4/2014 and just heard clicking noises then nothing. Had to get technician. Paid for $75 service charge and waiting for cost of labor and part for the lid lock/latch assembly. I see a lot of complaints with this new machine. I bought a new one BECAUSE I did not want any problems with repairs. Whirlpool is ripping off the consumer passing out this piece of discombobulated metal, wires and electronics. An appliance like this should last AT LEAST 7 years without a problem. I wish there was a class action lawsuit and will be waiting to the day it surely comes.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer in 2011. It has been nothing but trouble since. I have had repair people out here several times, because the machine twists and tangles the clothes, doesnt get the clothes clean. Sometimes the clothes come out dry without even getting them wet. There are lots of soap scum too. I would NEVER buy another one of these. SO DISAPPOINTED.

I purchased my Whirlpool washer and dryer 4 yrs ago. I was planning on purchasing Samsung but the saleswoman at Gils in Bristol, RI strongly recommended this junk!! A washer and dryer should not quit after 4 yrs w/ a household of 2. The dryer never dried properly. Each load took 2 cycles. Yes, repair were called and we were told its a design flaw. The washer just stopped spinning. Repair will would have been $550. These pieces of junk were replaced by GE electric stackables. Fingers crossed....they are working satisfactory!

I bought a Whirlpool microwave oven last year.The last one year, it has worked fine. The day after the warranty period was over, the microwave oven is not working .The rotating part is not rotating, so I called your customer care center. They sent one guy to trouble hoot, he said that the rotating part is faulty and I need to spend around Rs. 3,500.00 to rectify the problem .The cost of the microwave oven is Rs. 6,500.00.How can I spend Rs. 3,500.00 to rectify the problem? That too, how it happened the day next to the warranty period. Now, I have a doubt that as I purchased the article in Saravana Store T Nagar/Jayachandran stores in T Nagar, whether I am getting such kind of problem. Because when I purchased, they gave me a lot of gifts. That time itself I suspected.I trusted Whirlpool Company. I heard that Whirlpool Company is good so I purchased a double door fridge 5 years ago. The same problem I had when I purchased the fridge, the day next to my fridge’s warranty period, it happened to me. That time, I did not think like that. But now, the same problem happened to my microwave oven. So, I am suspecting about the genuinity of the Whirlpool Company. I am totally dissatisfied about the product of the Whirlpool. I will give you my microwave oven. You take it freely. You can use my microwave oven for your demo purpose. So that in the future no customers will have problem which I had. Whirlpool contacted me today about a review I posted on their website about the washing machine I purchased from one of their distributors. It was not to say they were sorry for the washing machine ruining our floor or our clothing. It was to say that they will not post my review because the model number is not the same as the one I purchased. Unfortunately for me my model was manufacture discontinued and although they look alike this new model is significantly different than the previous model it replaced (I will believe that when I see it). So they obviously knew there were problems with the earlier machine. I am outraged that whirlpool would stoop to such low business tactics to sell their garbage to people and then treat them like dirt.

My hot water tank wont stay lit. I replaced the heating element, and the thermo couple. It will light up now but it only stays on for about 10 minutes.

6 years ago, we bought the refrigerator, the oven and the dishwasher. Theyre all Whirlpool appliances. With that, we took the 5 years guarantee extension for all those appliances. After 6 months, the electronic front panel of the oven jammed. The repairman knew what was the problem and had to change this panel. Then a month before the expiration of the guarantee extension, the refrigerator never stop running. I have to call them 3 times before they place a service call at the right place, very strange. Now, the auto-clean on the oven doesnt work. The very known E1-F5 error on the display and no solutions that work. Whirlpool, never again and I will make the real publicity for this brand without a shame.

We were a Whirlpool family, and have been using a Whirlpool front loader – Duet Steam Model # WFW9500TW - for the past nine years without any issues until recently when it started to vibrate. Technician sent by Whirlpool blamed it on failing bearing and that it was cheaper to replace than to repair (In hindsight, I wish we had tried repairing). Naturally, we decided to replace with a new front loader from Whirlpool - Model # WFW6620HW. Our previous version had a max spin speed of 1000 RPM and a capacity of 3.5 cu. ft. This new one has a top spin speed of 1160 RPM and a capacity of 4.5 cu. ft. The main problem with our old one was vibration, and this was being caused by the washer going into high spin while the clothes were not evenly distributed throughout the drum. In one spin, the clothes would spin perfectly without any vibration, but in another spin of the same cycle, the washer would not allocate that same clothes properly throughout the drum, which leads the drum to cause vibration from unbalanced high spin. Vibration is a problem, because like most Americans, we live in a wood frame house, and have a basement underneath with the washer located on the main floor. Vibration from unbalanced high RPM spin gets sent down to other areas of the house, causing damage, drywall cracks, separation in trims, etc. And these are all only the damages one can see with their eyes.One point about vibration and some myth busting. Provided that all your washer legs are meeting the floor and not on a saggy floor, your washer should not vibrate more than it does during an empty spin. If it does, then it is due to faulty, poor design/engineering. What happens is when the steel drum becomes unbalanced with laundry in high spin, it starts to shake as more of the weight is on one side, which one can notice looking inside the washer window. There are concrete weights fastened to the top and bottom of drum to keep the drum in place and to reduce its shaking tendencies. However, this weight also causes the washer cabinet to wobble if the drum itself is shaking. This wobble in turn causes the washer legs, which may be firmly grasping the floor, to very slightly come off the floor, which one can feel if touching both the washer feet and floor with their finger at the high spin of an unbalanced spin. And that motion of legs coming off the floor and hitting back at high RPM is what causes vibration to be felt on the floor and to be seen on the cabinet. Of course, this effect is amplified with washers that decide to go into an unbalanced spin with an even higher max spin. When our old washer perfectly balanced the clothes, it behaved like it was running high spin while the drum was empty. This is how all washers should behave, especially in America where the vast majority of homes are wood frame based. However, that was not what we experienced with this new Whirlpool. If a washer is not capable of balancing out the clothes, extra function or feature should be deployed in containing the drum shake to within the drum, and not allow it to escape.First, our old front load Duet Steam Whirlpool was Made in Germany. This new one is ‘assembled’ in America. The door window of the new one is plastic and feels cheap and flimsy, but I expect all the darker color door windows of newer front loaders to be plastic. Consider it cost cutting. We did not look for additional anti-vibration technology because our old Duet didn’t have anti-vibration features aside from its two springs and four suspensions. We decided not to use Load & Go because I have personally seen liquid HE detergents gum up over time, so I didn’t want to risk it gumming up inside the washer.After the installers left, I spend an hour cleaning the outside of the washer to perfection. Sadly, time wasted. Once I was done, I first did a wash without clothes, and then with clothes in Normal, fast spin cycle with drum about 2/3rds full. Just pants and t-shirts. There is a recirculating pump at the top of the drum to distribute the water, and to also distribute soap mixed water. But I am not sure if this is without problems. These pumps can collect soap residue with time, and you will eventually end up rinsing the laundry with soap mixed water even in rinse cycle.In getting to the first spin in wash cycle, I was flabbergasted to see how, just how rudimentary, I want to reiterate the word rudimentary, the load detection was before entering high spin. Our nine-year-old washer had a more comprehensive one. The new washer would spin the clothes at very, very low spin and simply see if the drum is most evenly spinning. That’s all. Compared it to our old washer which would also shake the drum to see if there was movement from side to side, because clothes can change their position when entering high spin. This rudimentary load detection causes the new washer to create an even worse uneven load distribution around the drum before spin, even though it may seem even at very low RPM. So, why is the new washer’s load detection so basic? I believe it is due to ball bearings.Front load washer models from other companies employ ball bearings to reduce vibrations from uneven loads. Whirlpool does not employ such feature, at least, they do not advertise them. However, to my surprise, I hear metal balls hitting each other every time the drum direction changes during the wash cycle. I inquired Whirlpool about this and I received contradictory responses. My theory is that the basic load detection before spin speed is used because Whirlpool assumes any changes to load distribution will be taken care of or reduced by the ball bearings of the washer. But this ultimately allows the washer to go into more uneven spins. The bearings may also be used to increase the tolerance of what is considered an ‘unbalanced load’ in order to get the washer to go into spin cycle faster, decreasing the time involved of the washer to go into spin cycle. Sadly, to my dismay, the new washer ended up causing a worse vibration than our old one with failing bearing.I called up the retailer the same day of delivery and complained of vibration. He first sent an installer to see if it was installed properly, and upon showing the installer of the vibration issues, the retailer sent me a new washer couple of days later thinking the first one was a lemon, and even though it has less noisy draining noise, it too exhibited the same issues with it going into significantly uneven spin. In the end, we decided to return the Whirlpool washer all together, at a loss of $200 because the retailer did not hold up to their spoken return policy.We have done many loads in this washer to see if our loading is an issue, loads of varying sizes, loads of varying types, loads of weights, and we maybe only had an evenly distributed load around the drum about once or twice. Once it was a King comforter. But, like our old washer, this too ended up not distributing properly around the drum in the final spin cycle and started vibrating, even though it was vibration-free in the previous high spin cycle. This proves that the problem exists directly within the washer, not the floor, leveling, load, etc.Some other problems with the washer: - The washer door, Load & Go dispenser at bottom, and single load dispenser at top are all plastic parts which all vibrate significantly during fast spin cycle. Especially the Load & Go dispenser which keeps hitting the cabinet to make banging noise. - Drain sounds are much, much louder than our previous Duet. It was even louder in the first one we received. Combine this to uneven spins and this washer can perhaps compete with an engine in terms of the sound it generates. - Single use dispenser at top left will hit the washer door if washer door is opened when the dispenser is also in open position. - Buttons are sometimes unresponsive, to which I have to power off and try again. But this has only happened a couple of times.- There is a small ¼ in. opening where the steel drum meets the rubber gasket, opening in which items like coins, etc., may fall through and are irretrievable. Don’t think small socks would be affected.To potential buyers, I suggest you proceed with caution when it comes to this washer. Understand the retailer’s appliance return policy and make sure it is shown in paper. It can save you a lot of headache. Get the extended warranty of three years because manufacturers only give you one-year warranty for a reason. I would also suggest that you avoid this washer at all costs if you have any floor level below where this washer is to be installed, especially if the level below is a basement. Your house is more important and more valuable than a $1000 washer.In the end, I am very disappointed in Whirlpool, an American company. Perhaps Whirlpool focuses their attention on top loaders, not front loaders. But Whirlpool had nine years to improve their washers, and it is sad that we may now have to go outside of America for a quality product to be used in American homes. P.S. I suppose the idea was good - less water. However, when you are washing clothes, water and agitation are key. Without an agitator, clothes are just spun around with water and detergent. This washing machine (WTW4950XW2) couldnt clean any dirt off clothes. Clothes go in dirty. They come out damp, wrinkled, and dirty. I got this washing machine free from my father and am thinking I got ripped off. No wonder he gave it away. Piece of junk.

I purchased an appliance package Whirlpool Gold series that included a range, refrigerator and dishwasher. This was approximately 3 years ago. The range has already been replaced by Whirlpool after having it repaired twice and, finally, following the complete breakdown on Thanksgiving with turkey in oven. The refrigerator has broken twice and the computer box that controls all functions was replaced twice. The compressor goes off randomly and is currently off again at the moment. I woke up this morning to this and the temp inside is around 50 degrees. Needless to say the food inside is a loss. I will never purchase any Whirlpool appliance again. These were not inexpensive appliances by the way.

I bought this dishwasher in Nov. 2018 to replace one that was barely working. I have enjoyed using it much more than my old one. Its very quiet and does a great job of cleaning dishes, pans and silverware. The only problem we had was installing it. The leveling screws do not hold their height adjustment when the dishwasher is pushed across the floor during installation because the leveling screw pad was changed from steel to plastic and the tapped hole for the leveling screw is too loose. The effect of this - whereas the steel pad would slide the plastic pad will grab, turn and move the leveling screw out of adjustment. Especially if its tapped hole is too loose. So we went to Home Depot and bought 4 5/16 nuts and used them as lock nuts on the 4 leveling screws. This cost 50 cents. Once we installed it everything worked perfectly. It does take longer to complete a cycle than my old one - 3 hours vs. 2 but it uses less water and does a great job of cleaning. You must use a drying agent with your dish soap or it wont get dry enough. Also, if you use the short 1 hour wash it wont have as much time to dry and some dishes wont be completely dry. I usually wait to do a full wash with the normal cycle - 3 hour.

I had kenmore in long term until we decided to change the brand Whirlpool. We just saw want to updates to change the color. It was good price on special day. I have no problem with the stove. I like there is size of pots from small to large pot of size.

Whirlpool Duet WFW94HEAW0 Washer - Bought the machine in Feb 2014 and was generally very pleased with it. However a few weeks ago we started getting oil/grease stains on clothing. Wasnt sure what was causing it but it has now got so bad that the machine cant be used. An internet search indicates it is possibly a ball racer ring and doesnt sound an uncommon issue. A call to Whirlpool resulted in a quote for circa $350 for a service call. Thats a 1/3rd of the original value (includes a 12 month warranty). And its just over a year old!!! We had a problem with the Maytag Neptune that ended in a class action suit and now this replacement machine seems to be even worse. I would recommend anyone to really consider what to buy and give this range a miss.

The washer buttons stopped responding after 19 months. Lid lock sensor didn’t work. Replaced control board because new sensor did not fix it. Went bad again after a week. I have to replace it. I think 1 year warranties are not enough for a major appliance.

Bought this model #WTW8500DC from Lowes in 2015. Ever since had problems. Stopping in the middle, not starting, recently keeps running water, lid lock issues, had multiple service calls and multiple hardware changes, paid extra for extended warranty from Whirlpool hoping that within a year all problems would be gone after so many repairs. Boys I was wrong. After spending around $1200 between this machine and the extended warranty, three year later after the warranty expired now I am stuck with this non-functional piece of junk and looking for another washing machine. Would love to hear from Whirlpool if I stumbled upon a lemon, or three year is expected life of their $1000 plus machines.

Whirpool has its main washers, then the off brand of Whirlpool. After using the washer after a few months the balance starts to get off balance. Trying to find parts and get them put in is easy, hard part is replacing them after they wear off after use a few months.

Whirlpool Upright Freezer Model EV205NXTN01 – The freezer door interior plastic panel bows away from freezer cabinet causing door gasket not to seal. The new gasket doesnt help since the groove of the gasket mounts in bows outward with the interior plastic panel in the door. The freezer is 20 months old now and had the door replaced for the same reason at 10 months old. Now, Whirlpool says sorry it’s out of warranty. Guess they want me to buy a new door every year. I wont be buying Whirlpool products anymore as I dont need another boat anchor.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator and it is the 2nd one in 12 months. The first one the refrigerator was freezing food in the fridge part and thawing food in the freezer part. After several times a technician came to try to fix the problem and arguments with Whirlpool. They finally replaced the refrigerator. The new one is now doing the same thing. I am contacting Whirlpool tomorrow.

After having 7 refrigerators breakdown all for the exact same exact reason, a $12 part, Whirlpool will only take the stance that you could have bought the extended warranty. So theyre happy with you spending $150 each time the repair guy comes out. 7 refrigerators all for the same reason and theyre only 3 years old. Do you really want to purchase a Whirlpool product after that? We are a development that has furnished are condos with Whirlpool but will no longer.

Ive had this dishwasher for 1 yr and 4 months. Its been used properly and kept clean. The motor quit. A dishwasher that only lasted a little over a year. Cheap piece of junk. I spent over $800.00 with installation. I will never buy a Whirlpool dishwasher again. Try and call Whirlpool and someone in India will politely read from a manual and waste your time. Useless!!!

There seemed to be an issue with the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Pump. If a button comes off from your clothing or snap, etc., it gets trapped in the washer pump, causing it to crack and leak. Whirlpool on warranty only allows for one free change and anything after that costs $300.00. This is going to be the third time we are having problems with this and it is becoming, economically, a struggle for us. We have checked every button and snap to make sure they are fastened tightly, as well as any other type of items that may fall off in the wash and become trapped in the pump causing it to crack and leak. These pumps were poorly made and Whirlpool needs to be more aware of this problem rather than telling the customer that they are not aware of the situation.

I was having trouble with our Whirlpool water heater and thought that wed have to shell out and buy a whole new one. Chris saw my complaint and helped me find the right replacement kit at a minimal cost, as my unit was out of warranty. He even took the extra step and overnighted the parts for us at no extra cost. I am writing to you all today to urge you to not purchase Whirlpool products specifically Whirlpool 2-cu ft High-Efficiency Front-Load Washer. I purchased a front loader washing machine for our tenants through Sears back in June of 2013. When it was hooked up it had an error code on it so we contacted Sears and 3 weeks later they sent out a repairman telling us it needed a new motor (this machine had not even washed 1 load of laundry). They ordered the part and Sears paid 1200 to replace a part on an 800.00 washer.....yeah I know dumb right. Well the part replacement did not work. (Surprised) They ordered and delivered a new washer 1 month later....same error code. Lets try again with another washer......same error code. How about another one......water would not stop running into the machine because the sensor was broken. Wait we are not done how about another one.....same error code. No I am not kidding, 10 months later 5 washing machines and my tenants have yet to have been able to wash a single load of laundry. I have been reimbursing my tenants every month for not having a washer for the past 10 months. I finally had Sears reimburse for the washer which they will pick up soon. I am out all the interest for the past 10 months for a product never used. To top it all off I called Whirlpool directly to see if they would be willing to at least give me a coupon for any amount toward the purchase of a different washer. They told me quote We dont do anything to compensate our customer for their troubles. That is the icing on the cake folks!!! I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and I encourage you all to not as well. I want to show them how not caring for their customers can impact them. Please share if you can, but more importantly please pass the word!!!!!

Nice refrigerator. Not enough flexibility in shelving adjustment. Same with compartments on doors, flexibility limited. Freezer design is limited. It is not easy to load the freezer with different items.

I love the convection cook top! It is very responsive. Its about as responsive as gas, which saves a significant amount of electricity! But, it is WAY easier to keep clean. I also love the warming burner! Having that 5th burner in which to keep something warm, while you finish other things in the oven or on one of the regular burners is very helpful. Its also great for melting butter. The ability of the oven to delay the start of cooking and program cooking to finish at a certain time or in a certain amount of time is also very useful when you cant attend to starting or stopping cooking in the oven.

I like my dishwasher very much. Because we have hard well water I use Lemi Shine to cut down on any deposits. The top shelf is adjustable so that helps with large pans getting clean.

First time owner of a Whirlpool range and will be the last time. Nothing but junk! I liked how the top grates were and electronic ignition. The knobs turn too easy and often when bumped will turn gas on without igniting. Very dangerous. The oven grates guides rusted almost immediately making it difficult to pull racks out. The oven light works sometimes. The glass on the oven door at the bottom came unglued. The bottom door under oven is a total waste. No use for it. In my adult life I have had different brands but this is the absolute worst and will never recommend this brand to anyone period.

I purchased this machine in April and already, the right leg is rusted and the under seam of machine is rusted. I have throw rug under it and where the leg is, there is rust on the rug. I called service from Whirlpool and 2 servicemen came out. The first one told me I was loading it wrong and the water was splashing over the inside tub to rust the leg and I asked, So why is the seam under the machine rusted? No answer. The second one came out and told me he could not find anything wrong with the machine and doesnt know why it is rusting, but he never gave me a paper to sign off on. He also said that maybe it was rusted when it was delivered. Not!!! Then I call P.C. Richard in Watchung, NJ where I bought the machine at and told them about the problem. They sent a serviceman out and he said that the bleach condensation is causing the rust, its known fact that this machine has this problem. He said that the water does not run through the dispenser but there is a model that does. I want a credit on this machine and get the upgraded one. It states on the machine that I can use bleach but it doesnt say it will cause rusting. I want you to tell me how a 9-month-old machine is rusted on one leg and the seam underneath is also rusted!!!! I had a machine for 10 years and it wasnt rusted. I am very unhappy with this product and with the customer service of Whirlpool. This is my first Whirlpool washer and I would not recommend this washer to anyone. I paid $600.00 for this washer and it should not be rusting.

It does not clean properly, if the dishes are not almost totally cleaned before putting them in the dishwasher. It has stainless steel inside, but the plastic holders have all had to be replaced. It is a large dishwasher that holds pots and pan. It is plain and has nothing outstanding to look at. Dishwasher are not meant to last any longer than 8 years, I have been told by a repairman. I will never purchase a KitchenAid, made by Whirlpool again!

In 2005, I purchased a Whirlpool front-loading automatic washer for $700 plus. The machine had to have repairs on it several times at my expense. Then in 2010, I had to replace it and spent another $700 plus on the same type of washing machine. Whirlpool would only discount $100 of the cost. The second machine three years later is now also needing repairs. I spent a total of over $1,400 in 7 years on two washing machines not including repairs and parts. It also took forever to find the parts, so I went without use of a washer for one month. I called customer service and said they couldnt do anything for me the second time around with them. I will never buy another Whirlpool ever! You would think a company would care about their customers but they dont. They make their stuff cheap and charge an outrageous price.

This washer is an extremely poor choice if you wash clothes. It has so little water it does not dissolve HE detergent, Clorox 2, or OXI Clean. After even one wash it does not clean your laundry. If you choose to wash your sheets (even though there is a sheets and deep washer setting) its a joke. I could do better by washing things in the tub. I realize its a low usage water washer but you cannot even add more water unless you put it in with a bucket.

WFW97HEDW, WGD95HEDW American made and equivalent to LG and Kenmore. Size fitted our space available. Price was a bit higher than the Korean models with similar or better features. We bought and returned three consecutive Whirlpool models from Sears. Though we never really got to put the dryers to the test, nor did they fail, the washers were of such a poor quality that they broke down within 1-2 weeks of installation. Eventually we switched to LG and have had no problems. When the Whirlpool fails it locks your clothes inside and to open and retrieve your clothes is just short of impossible. We really, really really wanted to buy the American made brand and we were willing to pay the premium to do so, but these washers were awful.

Purchased a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator model #ED5KVEXVB07 in July 2012 from Sears for about $1000. Unit quit cooling late Dec 2014. I did not purchase the extended warranty, so the Whirlpool 1 year warranty was all I had. The repair technician (local company, not from Whirlpool directly) told me that the compressor had seized up, and the repair would be at least $300. I thought Id call Whirlpool just to see if theyd be willing to do anything for me. Long story short: No. I told the person on the phone: “I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.” She said: “Im very sorry about that.” After I hung up, I thought: If Whirlpool was really sorry, theyd stand behind their products for a part that should not fail after only 2.5 years.

I have owned a Whirlpool Gold Series Refrigerator for one year and 9 months. During that time I have had 7 repair issues. Each of the past ones took at least two weeks to repair. This past repair has to be redone because the new parts are also bad. The part is now on factory backorder. It will be at least two months for this to be repaired. Whirlpool says its too bad, we just have to deal with being without a working refrigerator for months. Do not buy this product!!! The warranty only means that you are forced to wait months for repairs. They will not replace, refund, or even extend the warranty for all this downtime. You have no recourse with the company.

My very expensive Whirlpool refrigerator thats three and a half years old broke down before Thanksgiving 2020. I am not able to get parts until after May 18th 2021. After calling numerous times and spending lots of time on hold I was told February 11th by Whirlpool that they had the parts in stock and they gave me a price for each part. Then they connected me to the parts department where they told me they dont have two of the 4 parts that I need. The price that they gave me for the same parts with a lot higher than what they told me at whirlpool. Whirlpool customer service was terrible its as if they dont give a damn. They just dont care.I cant believe its going to be 7 to 8 months to get parts for a three and a half year old refrigerator. I have fallen down my basement steps where I have a small very very old refrigerator twice carrying food up and down. Spreading mustard and sour cream all over my carpet my stairs my walls. Not to mention the fact that I have bruises all over my body. If I were you I would not buy a whirlpool. Its going to cost over $600 for the parts replacements that is if I can ever get them. Im going to have to break down and buy another refrigerator. Remember Whirlpool customer service is terrible and you can just forget about getting the parts.

I bought a new whirlpool washer 12/15. In May 2016 it stopped spinning fast, clothes are coming out wet, still waiting for it to be repaired. Waited 3 weeks for a part, repairman came out today, it did not fix the problem. Now it doesnt work at all. Service tech said wait another week for more information. Called whirlpool. They offered me a $50 gift card to cover the laundromat. I paid $1200 for this washer. whirlpool doesnt care. I want a replacement. They said the warranty covers repair only, but they cant fix it.

In May 2010, I purchased a Whirlpool WFW9750WW front load washing machine. In October 2010, the machine started making a strange noise and by December 2010, the machine sounded like a jet airplane. I called Whirlpool warranty and they sent out the appliance doctor. They looked at it and said that the bearings were shot and needed an inner basket, outer basket and one other item. They would order it and come back in a week or so. We were told not to use our machine. Ten days later, I called to check repair status and they said that the items were on back order until late January. I called Whirlpool and after several conversations and going to the second level of supervisor over a week time frame, they finally located the part and shipped it. However, it was not until the end of January 2011 (seven weeks after my call for service) that the part arrived and was installed. The sound was never right after the repair. The appliance doctor came out and told me that all washers are loud. In December 2011, the jet airplane sound returned. I called Whirlpool but I was now out of warranty. Luckily, I bought the extended warranty through Lowes. They sent out Night Owl on February 9th 2012. They diagnosed the same problem with the bearings and said they would order the parts. I called Night Owl on February 17th to check on status and they said that the parts were ordered. I called to check status again today and now the parts are on back order (same as last time) until sometime in March. Night Owl turned claim over to check on getting the machine replaced rather than repaired. I was told that this would be another five days. Its amazing how there are no parts available. I was told the repair cost for this item is over $450 as it takes two repairmen about two to three hours to complete. Issue is still not resolved. I highly recommend not buying a similar washing machine. Whirlpools product, warranty and customer service suck.

When I moved into my current home, this dishwasher(Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) was already installed. It had never been used until I moved in. After two years of 2-3 times a week use, I have major problems. It will not complete a wash cycle, regardless of what settings I use. It runs long enough for the soap dispenser to release the Finish tablets which dissolve, but then the dishwasher stops running. The dishes are not clean, and neither is the interior of the dishwasher. It also appears to be leaking when it runs. I cannot afford to replace it, so either I will repair it myself or use it to store pots and pans.This is not my first disappointment with a Whirlpool product. A Kenmore refrigerator made by Whirlpool lasted 7 years before the compressor failed. Apparently, the self-cleaning coils werent and caused the compressor to fail. The refrigerator I have where I now live is a Whirlpool over 20 years old and runs perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool quality has deteriorated badly in the last two decades. I will never buy another Whirlpool kitchen appliance because of the dishwasher and new refrigerator experiences. When I searched the Internet for fixes for both appliances, I found many other owners having the same problems I have had.

Let me start out by saying that I had a Whirlpool washer that lasted me for over 25 years and done a great job of washing my heavily soiled clothes. One day it refused to run and I tried to get parts for it but it had become obsolete and no parts were to be found for it, so I had to buy a new washer. I chose whirlpool again and let me say that it was a huge mistake. This model is a low water, high efficiency, top loading machine. It has nubs in the bottom that agitate to clean the clothes. The first time that I used the machine, I found that I had made a mistake purchasing this machine. It does not clean the clothes and there is NOTHING efficient about this machine. I have to run the washer twice to clean my clothes and they are still not clean. It leaves soap in the clothes and does not rinse them clean of the soap. What it does very well is extract water from the clothes during the spin cycle. This washer really turns up the high RPM`s on spin cycle. It has ripped apart several of my shirts during spin cycle. Whirlpool really failed badly on this machine. I see clearly now that Whirlpool is not the company that they used to be back in the 1980`s. I still have the whirlpool dryer that I bought back in the 1980`s and it still works very well. To end this story, I loaded up this NEW WASHER in the back of my truck and took it to the scrap yard and I asked them to destroy it in front of my eyes. I wished that I had recorded the destruction of this piece of JUNK and posted it on YouTube for the world to see. I got over $450.00 of pleasure watching the crane operator completely destroy this pile of crap. GREAT JOB WHIRLPOOL … YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOREVER. I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE and will advise others not to buy Whirlpool products as well. I am a male, 62 years old and work hard for my ill spent money on your JUNK. Life is always a trial, live and learn the hard way. Warning to all consumers. Do not buy Whirlpool products ever!!!! Steam cleaning DOES NOT work! I have complained to Home Depot and Whirlpool since my purchase 9/2018. They sent 2 different repair men and both times I was told there was nothing they can do. I got one phone call from Whirlpool (Maytag) and they sent me a cleaner (wish is just for the stovetop). No other return emails or calls have been acknowledged. My stove looks like it hasnt been cleaned EVER! I was also told to use elbow grease. I am so disgusted and at my wits end. Any suggestions, besides court?
