Within 10 days of installing our new Electric range the cooktop does not look new and although we have used the prescribed cleaning methods, will not remove some cooked on spills over one burner and another burner has white rings around the glass above the dual zone cooking element. While we did not choose the top-of-line model; had expected much greater durability and appearance for our new range. My call into Whirlpool service made me feel like mine was an extremely isolated case and yet nothing would be covered as would be classified as customer fault. Highly disappointing as the cooktop on the range that we replaced seemed so much more durable.

My refrigerator was purchased in May 2014, and died in August 2015. Before it died, it produced a very loud, rattling noise for two days. Thus, the refrigerator cost me $100/month. It does seem, upon reflection, I would have been better off buying a piece of junk for $50. It would have lasted longer. Additionally, the so-called stainless steel started rusting all over the front surface, first popping up in one spot, then another. One year old, rusty and dead. Great job Whirlpool. Buy American.

Apparently my machine, bought in 2011, was the first year they were made in the US. The washer has leaked soap down the front (a front loader) since day one. Service has come and replaced just about everything and its never helped. Its literally a piece of junk. Very disappointing. My older ones were great.

Bought it less than 2 months ago. It doesnt wash. It doesnt spend. It works every 2-3 hours if Im lucky. Its the worst product ever. Its not like it was refurbished. It was brand new. Smh. I thought it would save me money by buying a washer. Off to the laundromat I go. I do not recommend this product especially to someone who has a family and on a budget.

We bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator about three years ago. Because of space, we had to purchase one with a top freezer and also with no ice maker. First of all we didnt realize it was much deeper than our old Kenmore so it stuck out further into the kitchen space. That was not that big of an issue. At first everything ran great including the top freezer compartment, or so we thought. Then we noticed that when we had ice cream in the freezer and put water in ice cube trays to freeze, the ice cream would get very very soft. This continued to the point that now anytime I put water in there to freeze ice cubes I have to turn up the temperature to keep the ice cream frozen. Once the ice cubes are froze, there is no problem, but they take at least six hours to freeze. Then one day when a young child slammed the refrigerator door closed, the freezer door popped open about an eighth of an inch and then closed again. So, I tried it. Anytime you close the refrigerator door a little too hard the freezer door pops open. I then tried the dollar bill test to check the strength of the seal. The bill pulled right out of the door with very little effort. So, is the problem bad seals, bad design, or bad quality control, or what. How can I be assured that the frozen foods in the freezer are being frozen as solid as they should be. I know they dont freeze solid enough in the freezer door. I will eventually dump this refrigerator and go get another Frigidaire. If we have to get one with a bottom freezer, we will just have to rearrange our kitchen to accommodate it. But, having to turn the temp up and down every day is ridiculous. I have had issues with food close to the walls in all refrigerators slightly freeze, but never had an issue with keeping things cold enough. I will never buy another Whirlpool refrigerator, stove, or anything else for that matter. I have always had good luck with Frigidaire, so I will stick with what I know works.

We purchased a Whirlpool Accubake Drop-in Stove (Model # RS675PXG015) on 10/21/2006 from Lowes Companies, which cost $1,100.00. In 11/2012, we had an error message E1-F2, and we tried everything to get it to clear - all suggestions given by electrical repairman who does repair for Lowes Cos. The stove is porcelain, which also has problems of staining that cant be cleaned. We were told the repair would cost $200 for the panel, and if that doesnt work, another $400 for the other panel. In reviewing other complaints for this Whirlpool stove, there are enough complaints to recall this item or at least give deep cuts for the parts to repair this stove. We have purchased other Whirlpool items, and this one is not well made and too costly to repair. It should last at least 15 years or more. Cant Whirlpool do something about this obvious problem?

I bought this machine in September of 2014. Six months later I HATE IT!! It does NOT get the clothes clean and dont even try to bleach white towels or socks, it doesnt pump the correct amount of hot water and things come out just as dirty as when they went in. It tangles everything together and frequently stops working because it unbalances the load with its lack of water. Ive always been proud of how my familys laundry looked and now Im just embarrassed. Im considering donating this to a human society for dog towels. Stay away from this washer, its horrible. Im going to the laundromat and shopping for a new machine ASAP!

In September 2011, we purchased a Cabrio Washer and Dryer. Both appliances are extremely inferior. My first complaint to Whirlpool was in reference to the dryer. It kept overheating to the point that you couldnt even touch the clothes. In doing research I found this was a common problem and in some cases, even caused fires. After finding this out and contacting Whirlpool to complain and see if there were any recalls, they indicated they knew nothing about the problem and recalls would have to come from their legal department. I asked to speak with someone in that department and was told that was not possible. We threw the machine away and purchased a new no frills dryer. Now the washer has totally died. It would make noises, lockup, not spin, not clean, etc. Basically all the complaints other consumers have listed. It is now on the curb and I will again have a purchase a new washer. The Whirlpool refrigerator I bought at the same time is a whole other story. Please do not buy Whirlpool. When contacted they show no empathy or concern about the inferiority of their products. There are only the 2 of us now and we do laundry one time a week. It amazes me how much money I am out between the initial purchases, repairs, and replacements. My daughter has also had the bad luck of purchasing Whirlpool appliances and is now experiencing the same problems. Get the word out to all of your friends to NEVER purchase Whirlpool. They are apparently only concerned with their profits and not making good products or caring about their consumers problems. I made a very expensive mistake and will never purchase their products again. I have made them aware that I would be placing my review on your website along with the other 1,690 complaints. I have all my documentation re purchases, repairs, replacements and emails sent to Whirlpool. Unfortunately I cannot document all the calls made to this company. Bottom line, Im very disappointed in the products and the lack of concern. Please do not purchase.

Also, it has a musty smell.Whirlpool sent a repairman out to replace the shocks on a washer that is less than 2 months old. The repairman told me to use less detergent, but I am only using a teaspoon of powder detergent which is recommended and using Affresh once a month. There is nothing they can do about it till it is deemed unrepairable.

I bought a Whirlpool microwave oven last year. The last one year, it has worked fine. The day after the warranty period was over, the microwave oven is not working .The rotating part is not rotating, so I called your customer care center. They sent one guy to trouble hoot, he said that the rotating part is faulty and I need to spend around Rs. 3,500.00 to rectify the problem .The cost of the microwave oven is Rs. 6,500.00.How can I spend Rs. 3,500.00 to rectify the problem? That too, how it happened the day next to the warranty period. Now, I have a doubt that as I purchased the article in Saravana Store T Nagar/Jayachandran stores in T Nagar, whether I am getting such kind of problem. Because when I purchased, they gave me a lot of gifts. That time itself I suspected.I trusted Whirlpool Company. I heard that Whirlpool Company is good so I purchased a double door fridge 5 years ago. The same problem I had when I purchased the fridge, the day next to my fridge’s warranty period, it happened to me. That time, I did not think like that. But now, the same problem happened to my microwave oven. So, I am suspecting about the genuinity of the Whirlpool Company. I am totally dissatisfied about the product of the Whirlpool. I will give you my microwave oven. You take it freely. You can use my microwave oven for your demo purpose. So that in the future no customers will have problem which I had. I bought a front loading Whirlpool washer a few years ago after having my old top loading Kenmore for 25 years. It seemed okay, but I did always have to leave the front door open and it always smelled musty, which was of some concern. My clothes never smell totally fresh. The biggest current problem is that several months ago it started with a failure code, alternately would stop without draining, wouldnt fill, or wouldnt drain, and ultimately ended up flooding my basement. So we called for service and they replaced a sensor and said these machines seem to have a lot of service issues with sensors blowing and motors dying. So I paid them that time. Now its a month or two later, failure code again, calling for service one more time. But if it costs too much I will join the legions of dissatisfied Whirlpool customers and will switch to an upright competitors brand.

The washing machine is so loud when it is on, drowning out conversations esp when cooking or eating (it’s located in the kitchen). The machine tumbler has to be constantly readjusted no matter the size of the wash or how many times my husband or myself adjust the tumbler; consequently the washing machine is always dancing, making a horrible banging noise. The washer is under 6 years old. With that said, when you open it, the lip is all rusted out.

I have had 6 months of absolute HELL working with Whirlpool. I mistakenly purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator from Home Depot and the moment I did Home Depot were hands off. Sadly my brand new refrigerator didnt work from the moment it arrived. The ice machine was dripping inside from the back making all the ice freeze together and created an ice sheet below the ice box that can be taken out. There also was water dripping out of the ice output. The water output wasnt working and the water was literally trickling out when you pushed for water.SO Whirlpool took 6 weeks to send their 1st technician from L.A.R Services out of Boston and the guy turned up and said it was due to needing a new ice tray/machine and our sink having an old filter. There was NO filter on the sink! And he then ordered an ice machine that arrived at their office in 4 weeks but they took 3 weeks to try to deliver it. When they finally came out they called to say they had to turn around because the road was blocked- there are 3 ways to get to our home....so I had to chase for 2 more weeks to get them to come back out. When they arrived they handed me the ice tray outside and drove off!!!SO WE TRIED AGAIN and this time had Home Depot call Whirlpool to get a service person in to fix it. We had to wait another 5 weeks and when he finally came he claimed our issue was due to the fridge not being perfectly level. Well, guess what, its now level and the ice is still freezing into giant blocks, some weird plastic strap is hanging inside the ice box and the water is still trickling out.Ive called the service guy 3 times and he is yet to call back and right now Im on hold with Whirlpool (its been 14 mins so far). NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything WHIRLPOOL and I will be sharing this experience in every consumer space possible so no one has to go through what we have. Our new fridge is still broken after 6 months!! All I want is my GE fridge again and I should have a followed the reviews.

Bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer in 2/2013. In 5/2014, the washer went out of balance, but corrected itself quickly. Since then, it sounds like a cement mixer during the spin cycle. It took one month to get someone to come out and look at it. Apparently the bearings went and the part alone costs $450! Add another $250-$300 for labor and I could buy another washer. We called Whirlpool, who were unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation, i.e., replace the washer, send a replacement part, give us a discount on the replacement part. We didnt buy the extended warranty because who would think that a brand new washer would crap out after 15 months... and theres only the two of us.Not like Im washing clothes for a family of 5! I only needed a new washer/dryer because I moved out of state and didnt want to move the ones I had. Regretting that decision. Its unfortunate that there has been a decline in the manufacturing of goods to the point that they can be considered a throw away item. Will NOT be replacing this with another Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio just over a year ago. The washing machine does not clean clothes! While under warranty, a service tech came out to look at it. After hearing the problem, he replied that it was a common complaint and that he could not fix the machine because the problem was that it is so poorly made that it simply does not work. His recommendation was to come to terms with the loss of a thousand dollars as Whirlpool would not rectify the problem.Whirlpool really showed their true colors when they refused to cover the repair tech visit. Whirlpool supervisor Kitty explained to me that customer advice was not covered under warranty and that we would have to pay the bill. Highlights of her argument were that we should just rinse the clothes multiple times and they would eventually get clean. She also mentioned that if the machine really did not work as described, we should have complained sooner even though it was still under the one-year warranty. I purchased Whirlpool top loading washing machine model # WTW57ESVW less than 2 years ago. It stopped working yesterday. I had a trusted professional repairman evaluate it today. The motor needs to be replaced after less than 2 years?! The customer service reps basically said sorry. I should have purchased the extended warranty. Is it not reasonable to trust that a Whirlpool washing machine motor should last more than 2 years.I am very unhappy and very angry that Whirlpool will not stand behind their product. The last customer service rep I spoke to suggested she could send one of their repairmen and replace the motor at a cost to me of $299.00. So, after less than 2 years, I am offered an amount to pay of about half the cost I paid less than 2 years ago for the brand new washing machine. My home is full of Whirlpool appliances. I have been a good and loyal customer for over 30 years. I am very angry and upset with Whirlpool. Please explain to me why it is not reasonable for me to trust and believe that a Whirlpool top loading machine that is well cared for and not abused in any fashion should last longer than 2 years? Is this being a loyal Whirlpool customer gets you, I should have purchased the extended warranty”? We are talking about a motor here, not a fabric or bleach dispenser that breaks. Although, those parts should not break either, there is a big difference from something like that and a motor. Please contact me as soon as possible at either number listed above. Thank you.

So we did some research and whirlpool was being recommended by several stores and the reviews were better than most. Well we bought the Whirlpool refrigerator and it has been nothing but problems from the start. Everything that can go wrong has and of course our warranty ran out. And we are sitting here with no water, no ice, water tray falls out and breaks. Called whirlpool many times and their answer every time is, we will send someone out for you, and then we get a 300 to 400 dollar bill. Whirlpool sucks as bad as GE. Its crazy these companies get away with this crap. They can build good refrigerators they have in the past. My grandparents have one for 25+ years, now you cant get 2 years out of them. Pure Junk! I bought an HE machine thinking Id be environmentally responsible, but the amount of times I have to re-rinse clothes negates that. Whats worse is that clothes come out dirtier than when they go in. Thats right--just put a brand new set of sheets in the washer and when they came out, there were dissolved detergent marks and gray, linty patches all over them (this using warm water and a soft gel detergent)--resembling dirt you might get from hanging clothes on a mildew clothes line. I cant tell you how many times I need to re-run the drain and spin cycle. This wastes time, water and quality of life. Id try to re-sell it on Craigslist but wouldnt want to subject anyone else to it--not fair even at $100!Updated on 02/23/2015I wrote a review in September 2014 on the Whirlpool cabrio model WTW5600XWO. To update the community on my recent customer service experience with Whirlpool: I wrote them a letter a few weeks ago stating that I dont expect them to follow up but wanted to let them know I would be buying Bosh products from now on and reiterating my anger at needing to miracle brush any dark piece of clothing after it goes through the cabrio. My letter specifically said I did not expect customer resolution but wanted to express what a rotten product they produced and marketed. They called back leaving a message to the effect: We apologize want to help you but need to speak in person. Please call [toll free number] and have your make and serial numbers available. I called back, and after waiting on hold for 10 mins., the rep took my model and serial numbers, said, Oh I see your letter. Please give me a moment to review it. Then I was told there was nothing she could do. I do apologize for your frustration. I couldnt BELIEVE they would bother contacting me only to make me go through that charade-- They are PATHETIC! I say boycott the company! Well, I certainly will.

I have a 3 1/2 year old 9400WFW WP washer with a 70 error code. After viewing complaints on various websites, it appears this is a large scale problem with Whirlpool Duet owners. I just got off the phone with WP customer service and explained how many complaints are out there for F70 code error, yet they do not have a recall on this part! How can this be justified? This is a non-mechanical part of the washing machine. The life expectancy should be more than 3 years. My washer is not overused as there are only 2 people in the household. I do not want to pay the cost to repair this. I think WP should issue a part recall on this model. Does anyone know how to find out how many replacement CCU or CPUs have been purchased in relation to the number of 9400 WFW sold or if there may be a chance that WP needs to reconsider a recall?

Just bought two new Whirlpool water heaters, $469 each. Not impressed. One of the MANY issues: water leaking from the top. Reason: before installing, if you look inside female threads, you may see a rubber gasket (heat loss valve). One of the two heaters of mine was missing one. This showed me what the quality of the joint was like under the gasket. I temporarily removed the other three (two heaters) to confirm what I saw: At the backside of the threads there should be a clean flat landing from which to the male nipple should tighten against (washer in-between). Instead, there is a disaster of a flimsey lip (washer-like) which is torn up and not anything close to flush. Bad Whirlpool! Bad quality control!

Im guessing the company that makes Whirlpool appliances no longer make dependable appliances… bought home 2 yrs. ago. Bought Whirlpool over stove microwave and expensive side by side fridge. After 1 yr. microwave stopped heating. Now my fridge is no longer cooling. Have cleaned it underneath, did all a normal person would do. I replaced my microwave last year with a Maytag. I’m sure I will have to replace the fridge very soon. My stove is a Maytag. Dishwasher a Frigidaire... have had no problem. Just the Whirlpools… Will never buy another Whirlpool. Not just me, my niece bought a microwave. Her stopped heating after one year.

I have a Whirlpool GoldSeries dishwasher and I wish I had never bought it. I’ll start with the cons because I don’t think any other dishwasher on the market matches this: After 3.5 years either the motherboard or the motor is trash. It will cost so much to fix it that buying a new dishwasher is a better option. I paid more than $800 for the dishwasher + $200 for the install + $75 for the service call to find out it is garbage. I used it about 2-3 times per week, which adds up to about 455 uses total for the time I used it. This shows that the cost of this dishwasher, without operational cost considered, is $2.36 per load (or $307.14 per year if you prefer). No other appliance I have ever owned was as expensive, over its lifetime, as this dishwasher.Whirlpool customer service was difficult to get a hold of and then obstinate and useless. The dishwasher would stink if it was not cleaned regularly. Pros: It is quiet and it cleans the dishes well. Recommendation: Do not waste your money on this. Many other dishwashers are quiet and clean dishes but not many will be this big or expensive. A disappointment over their lifespan.

They replaced the two and debited a cost of Rs.1500.

Refrigerator model LFFU17F5HWD - For 2 years it worked, but with problems - always frosting over. I called a service tech and they said it was a common problem, but to find a service tech to come and look at it. The cost for that was $250.00 and still no fix. Now it quit working completely. I was always told by my dad that Whirlpool was the best - maybe true, 30 years ago. I know one thing if I have to buy another refrigerator - it wont be a Whirlpool. You do stand up to your name Whirlpool of trouble. If anyone reads this, please take my advice and do not buy a Whirlpool. I have a washer and dryer thats Whirlpool too. They work but I wont have anything in my house that says Whirlpool on it. Its too bad that they were a great product at one time. Consumer Reports should do something about this company or the BBB. Im so mad I cant even spell well. Thats my 2 cents on Whirlpool of crap.

I’ve had my Whirlpool Duet for 12 years and it has been a great one. I’m a mom of three sons, all of them wash their own laundry!! Lots of loads are done weekly and it cleans well! We leave the door opened after it’s unloaded so the tub will dry. Every few months, I put a tab in it so it will clean out all of the buildup. I don’t get the “front loader smell” that way.

Their water heater is the worst ever! I will never buy another Whirlpool product. We purchased our water heater on January 17, 2010. We had to have the entire electronic system replaced in August 2011, including the lower element, control unit, thermisol, and electronic. Now, just a few short months later, the system is not working again, plus, the containment unit failed, flooding our basement. When we called Whirlpool, we were treated callously and rudely. Now, we have to pay to have the old unit removed, and a new one installed (they told us to throw it in our trunk and return it to Lowes, as if). Why did we pay to have this warranty when both the product, and the warranty are junk? Never, ever again! While Im at it, I should add that our range, and refrigerator are also made by Whirlpool, and those too, are pieces of junk. I guess were bucking up, and scheduling a new installation. If there are any further problems, I will be contacting an attorney.

Very unhappy all the way around with Whirlpool. The first refrigerator shipped had to be replaced, I do not remember the original problem, just the ordeal involved. The replacement had to have the computer board replaced twice, the icemaker stopped working after a few months, the freezer door does not seal properly. And now, after less than 3 years, the drain is clogged. After researching, come to find out this is a common problem and has resulted in many water damaged wood floors, including my own. Never Whirlpool again. There are much better brands on the market today with better price points. I highly recommend staying away from Whirlpool.

Does not get your clothes clean. They come out of washer smelling due to lack of water. Darks have Detergent Residue on them. My t-shirts have holes in them. Bought this machine in 2010. Just purchased a Whirlpool top load with a Agitator and I am very pleased with the results. We never had any problems with Whirlpool products but this Cabrio should be taken off the market, faulty advertising. Talked to a Whirlpool rep and she told me to bunch up clothes and place around outside edges of machine for best results but did not see any difference. Do not buy this washer. You will be wasting your money and you will be buying a old traditional washer, with an Agitator is your best bet so you can control the amount of water you use. I hope this helps one that is thinking of buying the new technology top load Cabrio with HE.

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer from Home Depot. It started making noises on the spin cycle 2 months after the purchase. A technician came out and concluded it was a clothes hanger behind the machine making the noise. False. Two days later I tried to wash a load. All the panel lights came on. And then the machine died. No power. The tech came out and tried to run tests but the machine would not respond correctly. Informed it has a bad control. The machine will malfunction even if a button is pressed too long. And then its repairman time again. This machine is poorly designed. No doubt whoever designed the digital control panel did not think about ease of use. The tech has to recalibrate the controls after every failure. Whirlpool and Maytag have put out a bad product and this will be my last.

I have a Whirlpool Duet Steam Washer that will be two years old in September 2013. It has been making terrible, loud noises during the spin cycle for a few months now. Repair tech told me it was the bearings and very costly. It will cost me over half of the original cost to repair a less than two year old washer. This is my second Duet front loader from Whirlpool. The first one was a drum issue and the rod ended up snapping. Again, very costly so I bought a new one. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I do not agree with extended warranties and it is just an additional money maker for the manufacturer. They should be making the product so people do not have to purchase those. Anyway, back to the washer at hand. I refuse to spend that much on a newer washer and will never purchase a Whirlpool product again. I will let this thing bang for as long as it is going to last. Unfortunately have also just purchased the dryer that matches this washer since I still had the old model Duet Dryer, so kind of stuck with them. Spent an hour and a half yesterday on the phone talking to people at Whirlpool and they really dont care if you have an issue or not no matter how old your machine is. They just want you to have purchased the extended warranty or forget it. There should be a recall and they should be helping these customers who all seem to be having the same issue. Done with them!!

A couple of years ago, we had 2 natural gas hot water heaters installed. We immediately had a service call to replace the thermostat on one of them. Then recently, the other one had to be replaced because of the leaky tank. It was still in warranty, and we had to pay $425 for the old one to be removed and the new one installed. Now, this one has a bad thermostat and the A & E Factory Service is coming tomorrow to install the new thermostat. We have been inconvenienced by this for a couple of weeks as we have no hot water in the master bath. We were just lucky that we had one hot water heater working in the other part of the house. I think that Whirlpool should have paid the $425 for the installation as the original hot water heater was in warranty. Now, I hope that tomorrows visit will be covered by the warranty. After having the ice maker replaced on our 14-month old Whirlpool refrigerator, things seemed to be working fine for a while. However, now there are puddles appearing on the floor in front of the refrigerator. This is a freezer-on-the-bottom model and the ice maker is at the top so I was fairly certain it has nothing to do with the ice maker. Turns out there is something dripping into the back of the freezer and over time it builds up a giant ice sheet on the bottom of the freezer compartment. When the ice sheet gets large enough, the dripping water flows out onto the floor. Now Im going in every couple of weeks and chipping the big ice sheet off the bottom so it will stop leaking for several weeks. When I see puddles in front of our refrigerator I know its time to go chip the ice sheet out again. Seriously, I dont think Ive ever had a brand new, and expensive, appliance perform so badly. Do NOT buy the Whirlpool Cabrio washer...it doesnt actually wash your clothes! Most clothing still half dry after the wash (didnt get any water on them) and they are still smelling sweat after the wash! Also doesnt clean basic stains that others washers clean. Even if you add water manually to the washer to soak your clothes, the clothes on top wont be agitated at all, hence the reason the clothes are still dirty after a wash. We recently purchased a refrigerator from a reputable local appliance store
We recently purchased a refrigerator from a reputable local appliance store after months of shopping and comparing and research. As an opinion, Whirlpool seemed to set the standard for a quality appliance. Unfortunately, we failed miserably by buying this side-by-side fridge. Two unsolvable problems. First, the cold side door is extremely difficult to open. Ive tried ALL gasket lube methods and failed. Second, the stainless steel used on the front of the machine is obviously low grade that accepts magnets and is almost impossible to clean weekly without streaking. They were kind enough to provide us with their special cleaner {free} but it takes about an hour and a half to use for moderate success. The lady on the help desk listened but seemed rather cold and uninterested in the problems. At this point, we would be willing to pay the extra and go to a Kitchen Aid instead. Our advise is beware of these types of issues and get some kind of guarantee from your store when buying a WHIRLPOOL refrigerator. This is simply terrible.

After several service calls the repairman finally gave up and now were getting a new replacement. However its been a nightmare working with them trying to get this washer replaced. The Whirlpool delivery team and the service team cant seem to coordinate a time together for the replacement. We had to make a first appointment for the service guy to uninstall the old unit, the second appt for the delivery guy to drop off the new unit and pick up the old and a 3rd appt to install the new unit. Each appt has a 4 hour wait window. This is their standard procedure, which is totally inconvenient to customers. To make matter worse, the delivery guy came too early for a condo delivery (before 9 AM) and told us he will be back the next day. And he didnt show up. It looks like now we actually have to have 5 appts (including the 2 missed appts by their delivery guy) to have the washer replaced. All the time I wasted waiting for this delivery is worth more than the washer itself. What would be 4 hours X 5 appts = 20 hours. This is the worst customer experience ever. After 3 months of constantly calling Whirlpool and still no washer. Whirlpool needs to hire some competent people who actually care about servicing their customers.

I have purchased 2 Ikea/Whirlpool ovens in 2011 from Ikea in Canada. I have used the self clean feature on both ovens and both ovens quit completely and the doors stayed locked. This problem is discussed hundreds of times on the internet for Whirlpool, Ikea and Kitchen Aid ovens. Since they are all made by Whirlpool they are all very similar or exactly the same in some cases, as is the problem. I have discussed this with Ikea and they have said they didnt know about the problem but would help to get it fixed to my satisfaction. I have had Whirlpool authorized service repair both ovens but after trying the self clean feature again, same problem.During one of my conversations with an Ikea representative on the phone, she contacted Whirlpool and was told that if the oven was repaired 3 times and deemed by the service technician as unrepairable, Whirlpool would do a buyback. In other words according to Ikea, Whirlpool would take the oven and pay me what I paid for the oven. Well after contacting the authorized service dept (not Whirlpool itself) for the third time, they did some investigation with Whirlpool about the problem. To his and my amazement, Whirlpool has come up with a fix as of October 2013. The technician ordered the new kit and installed it in both ovens. I have since tried the self clean in one oven and this time it worked. For the information of others, Whirlpool has the kit and in it is an instruction sheet with pictures as to how to replace and install all the parts in the kit.I watched the installation, quite a process. From the instruction sheet there is a number on it. Here is the number - w10625529 rev. A 10/13. This is an instruction sheet for Ikea TOD (thermal overload device) service kit. I have looked at many of the service parts diagrams on the internet for many different current models of Ikea, Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid ovens and in most cases almost all the inside parts are the same or very very similar which leads me to the conclusion that this service kit may work in most of these ovens to correct the same problem, but I suggest checking with the appropriate service people before taking my word for it. My observation is that the kit moves the TOD off the top of the metal plate of the oven and onto a new bracket which the tech thought it was to get it further away from heat (this Im not sure of since Im not an expert). He also suggested that this kit may also be designed to allow more air flow around the oven.My only concern after having the self clean feature finally work is the heat produced inside the kitchen cabinet in which the oven is installed. Approximately an hour and a half after turning the self clean on, I felt the side of the cabinet between it and the fridge (open space), and at one area of the wood cabinet I could not hold my hand on the cabinet as it was too very hot. I will be checking the inside of the cabinet for signs of excess heat and if I see any evidence, I will again call the service people. Since the elements were not on when I checked this, I assume the self clean had finished the heat cycle and was in the process of cooling down. When I test the other oven, I will make sure the elements are still on as I can see them thru the glass door. When I checked the temperature of the outside wood cabinet using a laser thermometer, the outside wood registered 64 degrees C or 142 F approximately. Not sure what the inside temperature was as the oven was still in place. Hopefully I will not get a higher reading when the self clean is at its maximum temperature in the cleaning cycle. Will the oven create any problems in the future for the cabinet, I hope not but time will tell. For clarification, the cabinets were built by a kitchen cabinet company using the instruction sheet that came with the ovens. I hope some of this will be of help to some of the hundreds of people who have posted this very same problem on the internet. When you have paid for an appliance you wanted because of the features it came with, it should provide you with what you paid for and not constantly break down. Im lucky as they came with a 5-year warranty so it hasnt cost me anything yet and hopefully wont in the future. Good luck to all in getting this resolved for all of you.

After 16 months the Whirlpool refrigerator Model number: #WRT311SZDW00 goes out. While trying to use extended warranty Whirlpool states it will be 4 to 6 week before a technician can come out. YES- Weeks not days. Now Whirlpool states they are unable to find a technician in my area and in order to get it fixed I will need to hire the tech and seek reimbursement from them for the repair. However prior to the repair they will need to approve the repair. In the mean time I am renting a refrigerator at my cost. They lost a customer for life!!! Question- What is the purpose of the warranty? Model number: #WRT311SZDW00

Our double oven was part of our new home purchase so we really didnt have a choice in product. Brand new. Hardly used. The control board replaced because it went bad 2 weeks after install. After one use it had it replaced and it went bad again. Used it once and again same thing. My mom unaware of the issue used the self cleaner as a favor. Well things went really bad. Because the temperature of the self cleaner was too much for the oven and explode and the inside glass shattered. This is not a product that you would want in your home or would recommend for anyone to buy. They do not stand by their product either. Please do not risk your familys life.

I have had this product now for 1.5 years and am very dissatisfied with it. Whirlpool calls their oven an Aqua Lift Self Clean, which is terribly misleading. There is nothing self-cleaning about it, except that the person who needs to clean it is me (myself)! I cannot use oven cleaners on it, because that will void my warranty, so the only way to clean it is to scrub, scrub, scrub, down on my hands and knees, which I havent had to do for many a year. My second issue is with the glass stovetop. I have had many glass tops before and have never, never had such trouble cleaning it. Every time I use the stovetop I need to scrub and polish vehemently to clean it. And thirdly, the dials fail very quickly, and to replace them costs me $50.00 a pop! In just 1.5 years two dials have failed. This is just unacceptable, and I say shame on Whirlpool, and shame on the company that sold it to me. I will never, ever purchase another Whirlpool appliance again.

Having spent over RS 40000 on a so-called quality product one does not expect to spend nearly 20000 within the first two years of the purchase. 1. As soon as the warranty got over the PCB (costing 3000) broke down. 2. This replacement had a 3 MONTH warranty. Exactly after 9 months again the PCB breaks down along with leakage of gas. The service team asks us to buy a stabilizer to ensure that no such issues occur as they attribute these breakdowns to voltage fluctuations which are not of any precedence in Delhi. Also the product I am using was sold to me as a stabilizer-free working. 3. I made the suggested investments 4 months later the fan and motor of the freezer stop working. Imagine so much repair work on a new equipment. I have been writing to them yet all that they say in response is we are looking into the matter. NO ONE SHOULD BUY WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATORS.

I purchased a new home in 2005 and equipped the kitchen with Whirlpool appliances. Every single appliance has broken at least once. The refrigerator ice-maker has been repaired once and replaced twice. Some of the control panel buttons on the dishwasher work some of the time. Other times we have to strike the panel to make them work. Weve had to replace the handle on the microwave door twice at nearly $50 a pop. And the motherboard on the dual-oven has been replaced once. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool appliance for as long as I live.

I have had 10 parts replaced and had to be out a washer for a month at one given time. I have had the repair company email me all the parts and services that they have done. All I want is a new washer! I have argued with Georges Appliances on several occasions because I believe they sold me the obviously faulty washer and I dont believe that I should be responsible to have to figure it out for myself. Whirpool Part #WPW10564292 refrigerator handle - I am a property manager who has 264 units. We have only been open for 1.5 years and have had to replace 30-40 door handles because they crack at the top where screws are. We tried calling Whirlpool Customer Service because obviously this is a defect and she said they looked in the system and didnt see any recall or issues. We also asked for a representative from Whirlpool to stop out so we could show them the issues and she said we have nobody in the area. We have 9 service requests outstanding that need a new refrigerator handle. On July 19th, we ordered 3 handles from our distributor and we were told theyre on back order until September 6th. When I called at the end of August to make sure we were on schedule with delivery, I was informed they are now on back order until November 5th. I just called our part rep. this morning and now they said the current part number does not exists and gave me the new part # W11026870, and they are on back order until mid or end of November. I am not going to keep quiet about this issue. We have paid $79.89 per handle on a refrigerator that is only a 1 to 2 years old appliance. I am requesting a returned call or email on what you are going to be able to do for us. This is not right or fair to a company that spent a large amount of money to have your appliances in 264 units.

We purchased this water heater (Whirlpool 50 gallon, 9-year warranty, Regular Electric Water Heater, Model Number ES50R92-45D) in July 2015 when Lowes had a special financing offer. Doing other remodeling in the house, we didnt have it installed until the beginning of November. A local licensed plumber installed this for us and we havent had a hot shower since. We have called Whirlpool at least five times. Theyve had us replace the elements, replace the electronic thermostat AND the regular thermostat, then they even had us call a warranty plumber they use to inspect the tank and authorize what needs to be done next. When he arrived, he said he hadnt ever even SEEN this model before. Being fed-up with cold showers, I called Lowes to see if we could just take the thing back to the store, but they said that since it was after the 90 days, I would have to get an authorization number from Whirlpool. I just spent another 20 minutes on the phone with Whirlpool explaining my situation and they said that they cant authorize the return of a tank that can be repaired. I then asked if we didnt have a money back guarantee and the guy said, Unfortunately NO. He then suggested I call the plumber they had recommended to come out and look at it again. The guy was from Tampa and when he was here, he just wanted to get home since it was nearly 5 PM AND hes the one who said he had never seen this model before. What would be the point of calling him AGAIN??? When I buy a BRAND NEW product still in the box from a reputable store, I do NOT expect to have to troubleshoot and fix it. IT SHOULD WORK. Well, I have learned another valuable lesson from the school of hard knocks (and cold showers)...Always read the comments on a product before purchasing.

Both are Whirlpool Commercial quality. I got them free from my Co-Op. They didnt cost me anything. They have been here for years - at least 18 years. They have performed flawlessly. I would look for anything discounted. I do not have a problem buying scratch and dent items or last years models. I am not big into brand names and their claims. My sister has gone thru several Maytag appliances in just a few short years. I will not buy any front loading washer, its top load only for me. The dryer has to be electric because we do not have gas in my Co-Op complex. I have been lucky to have only two washer and dryer combos since I was a kid. My family bought a Kenmore washer dryer combo in the 70s that lasted maintenance free into the 90s when I got the Whirlpool set that I have now. I only need the basics side by side set ups. Even though I live alone I do a lot of laundry. Since I have had these commercial grade machines I am more leaning toward another set of commercial grade machines. They seem to be able to take more abuse/over loading than the fancy expensive machines.

On Dec 18, 2015, my hot water heater located in my garage started spewing water out into my garage, driveway, and into the street. I called Lowes, whom I purchased the water heater in Jan 2011, in which it was still under warranty. I was told to call (Whirlpool) 877 817 6750, the order was placed for a gas shut out valve after going through a check system. I was then given the names of two local preferred technicians to repair water heater, whom was not available. The representative from Whirlpool (American water heater) told me I can get the plumber of my choice, authorization number was given. I had to call the (Whirlpool) (American Water Heater) back and was told the part was ordered 2 times. The first part will come on Dec 19, 2015 by UPS, and that the second part will come on Dec 21 by UPS, that a prepackaged label for return will be attached, and to tape the 2 boxes together to send back to the company--one box with the old part, and one box with the new. So, I sent the boxes to an address in Junction City, Tn. But I was not sent prepaid label, so I kept by word and spent $14. I will not be reimbursed according to American Water in which I followed their directions to a tee. So the walk away, the customer is always wrong, staff is not being trained the right way, and as a customer I am out of money and making adjustments to the way of customer service. No service. Just a waste of time, effort, and money.

We purchased a Whirlpool oven a year and a half ago. Today the interior glass exploded while cooking frozen French fries. Whirlpool customer service indicates that this is unusual. Whirlpool indicated that the only way they will repair it is if we pay $375. We declined to pay an additional cost for this product which failed to function safely. My Whirpool refrigerator model # WRF990SLAM01 was 14 months old (2 months past the new product warranty) when we started having issues with multiple areas. The ice machine stopped making ice and started dripping from the dispenser and the freezer stopped freezing food. I called and was told to purchase an extended warranty which cost me $375.00. The service tech has been to my house 12 times over the last 9 months. They have replaced multiple parts and even started replacing parts a second time. I was instructed by the service tech to call and request a replacement fridge. Whirlpool customer service told me that it would have to be considered a lemon before they replaced the product. I was told that would require each component to be replaced 3 times. I would need to take off work 27 more times for the repairs!!! The service tech came out one more time and he said there was nothing else he could do. I called again to complain and even wrote to Whirlpool corporation (though they never called me back at my request). After much complaining, which I do not normally do, they have decided to replace the unit. BUT I have to pay and additional $476.29 for them to replace this unit!!! I feel like I was totally raked over the coals from this company. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again and I recommend you do not either.

When I first bought this machine I loved the big tub, but I was concerned that there was no agitator. It confuses me how clothes can get clean if there is nothing to rub them again. Even in the olden days they rub clothes against a board. Well my concern is valid and I believe the washing machine industry needs to go back to the old model, as this new version does not work. Here are all the problems: 1) The machine judges how much water to put in. This doesnt work. I follow the directions and outline the perimeter and dont overload, yet still it just barely puts in enough water to make the clothes wet. Im all for conserving the environment, but enough water needs to be provided to actually get the clothes clean. I would like to be the judge of how much water should be used, so I would like to be able to tell the machine if it is a small, medium or large load. I do believe that the lack of enough water is why the clothes do not come out as clean as they should and why they end up smelling (see #4). 2) There is no agitator, so there is really nothing available to help clean the clothes. Spinning them around like a maniac is not enough, which leads me to the next problem. 3) The clothes come out twisted terribly and then many times come out of the dryer wrinkled because of how hard they were twisted. I tried to select a less harsh spin cycle, but then the clothes are too wet to put in the dryer. There is no happy medium.4) Biggest problem to date: Our clothes/towels have all started smelling. You know that smell when you leave your clothes in the washer too long (like two days) and then put them in the dryer? Its that smell. The clothes/towels dont smell when you immediately take them out, but they do smell at any bit of moisture. When I dry myself off after the shower, I notice the newly washed bath towel smells like a wet dog. I have used the pods, liquid detergent and powder. I dont remember having the smell problem when I first bought the machine and used powder, so I just returned to using powder today. (Ive even tried doubling up on the pods, but the clothes still smell.)This leads me to problem number 5: When using powder in this machine, the machine does not empty the powder container completely, and so the clothes do not get the required amount of detergent. Often there are clumps left over in the powder dispenser, but not always. (This is what led me to go to the pods and liquid detergent in the first place.) But at least with powder (I use Gain) my towels dont stink after the first time I used them.I wouldnt recommend this machine. I really researched machines before I purchased this one, but they all had bad reviews, so how do you pick? And I never look at the good reviews because we all know so many people are paid to rave about products they know nothing about, or it is a company employee writing the review. This machine is a huge disappointment. I am going to try adding a rinse cycle like a previous reviewer suggested. Maybe the extra water will help with the smell. Of course this is not good for the environment though, so this whole way of making washing machines with no agitator and limiting water defeats the energy efficient goal.

We purchased the Whirlpool Duet Sport matching washer and dryer new in 2006
We purchased the Whirlpool Duet Sport matching washer and dryer new in 2006 from a local appliance store. The washer was around $1,000. The salesman sold us on the load capacity, telling us it can wash 15 pairs of jeans. We dont overload it, mostly because its a high-efficiency washer and doesnt use much water (Im still trying to figure out the concept of how can you clean a whole load of laundry with a little bit of water). Its very quiet, but the cycles take longer than standard washers. Also, you must use very little soap (too much soap will cause the washer to stop and display an error code, which youll have to call a technician to come and reset). It is now 2013, and the washer started thumping during a cycle and there was a burning rubber smell. We called an appliance repairman who gave us an estimate for repair of $800 to $900 (for a bad bearing/bearing casing and inner basket). Im sure that there was quite a markup on those parts! It seems to me that the older non-efficient washers lasted longer than 7 years, and certainly didnt cost $1,000 when new.
