I have a combo Microwave oven/oven GMC275PDS07. When the microwave is finished with the requested program, the end of program chime lets you know its done. Then, if the door is not opened for at least 3 seconds, the chime will ring again every minute thereafter ad nauseum. This will go on for hours without end. I know because I tried it. I reached out to Whirlpool via a web chat and my question was not even addressed. I was ignored. From reading other submissions, I assume this is de rigueur for Whirlpool. I then called Whirlpool and spoke to Katie in Tennessee. She was not able to bring up any make or model when I provided her the numbers exactly as listed on the inside of the door. She was not able to provide any respite from this annoying feature. This a Whirlpool Gold model, presumably the top of the line, in my book I will never purchase any Whirlpool product of any type and I will make it a point to let anyone who will listen that Whirlpool is not a manufacturer that takes its customers concerns seriously. Katie then advised that she looked up this feature and told me there is no way to turn the beeping off. I find this amusing since she could not find the model or serial number when I gave it to her.

DO NOT buy Whirlpool branded electric ovens. Whirlpool put out an update and it fried the control board of our electric built in oven. They refuse to fix it. They have kept us on hold for two hours and then tell us there is nothing they can do to fix it. We had an extended warranty that just “disappeared from their system.” They told us someone would call back us but no one has. This was an update we were told we had to run in order to use the associated APP. Our oven is only 2-years old. We now will need to pay for the repair ourselves. DO NOT BUY.

We purchased both the Cabrio Whirlpool washer and dryer approx. 3 years ago, while still under the manufacturers warranty the lid cracked upper right corner. It was replaced and we were told by the repairman at that time this is becoming a common problem that he himself has seen this exact failure to several of these washers. Whirlpool needs to fix the problem. Shortly after this happened we receive in the mail the information for the extended warranty. Due to having this already happen, I phoned the extended warranty department for Whirlpool and specifically asked if this same thing happens again will it be covered under the extended warranty. My answer Yes.Well it happened again, called extended warranty provided them with a detailed description of what happened, they would send someone to replace, the service gentleman arrived today, called Whirlpool and they denied the claim. So they LIED. I instill honesty in my children and am proud to say I hold honesty as a high value. We were told it was cosmetic, the glass is buckled and the lid has to be held down to engage the lock mechanism of the lid. COSMETIC, this is a SAFETY concern. Where have our American values gone... Whirlpool used to have them back in the day... Shame on you Whirlpool.

Without a doubt, the worst washing machine Ive ever owned. After 15 years, my trusty old Maytag finally quit, so we searched around and ended up purchasing the Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum 3 years ago. In that time, the hinge on the lid broke, and now it makes a deafening noise when spinning. We called a repairman and he said the bearings were bad and needed to be replaced... Total cost $275 plus $50 for fixing the lid. When we told the repairman that it was only 3 years old he couldnt believe it! We decided against fixing it because from the start it never got the clothes as clean as we were used to, and without the agitator post in the middle, which was a big selling point by the salesperson who sold it to us, the washer continually stops with an Uneven Load message. Large load, small load, it doesnt matter. You cant do a load of any size without the load becoming uneven. We are now searching for a new washer, and although I dont know what well buy, I can guarantee it wont be a Whirlpool.

Bought the dishwasher 3 years ago and now its not worth anything as its pump gave away. Cost to replace the pump is $200 or more so it doesnt make sense to do that since you can get a new one for $300-$400. Everyone I talk to say they are not building these as they use to and they give out in 2-3 years. I am very unhappy with this dishwasher.

This washer was expensive, platinum line. Clothes never smelled fresh and clean like they should. There is not enough water to cover and clean. After 4 years it started smelling dank and unpleasant even after cleaning cycle is run. Now I discover it has been leaking for quite a while. It will be 6 years old in July. The top wont stay up. This happened months ago. The part alone is 250.00 according to several sites. I just prop it up. Very displeased with this poorly constructed, expensive rip off!

Whirlpool Cabrio - This expensive machine should be called the Presidential
Whirlpool Cabrio - This expensive machine should be called the Presidential. First it spins, spins, spins. It sprays tiny amounts of water, so little, that there is 2 inches or less. There isnt enough water to cover the clothes so no agitator to stir and mix them. There are ridges on the bottom of the tub called aggrivators to twist everything into pretzels. This twisting spreads the dirt around, but does NOT remove it, the utter lack of water giving it no where to go. I use a hose to add extra water, and I hand soap dirty spots. I stop the washer frequently to hand rub and slop the clothes around and un-twist them. Explain to me how running this machine 3 times plus adding water saves water and energy. I cant, in good conscience, sell this POS to someone else, and I cant afford something else. I sure miss my simple reliable old Maytag. I could say even more about this atrocity, but not now. I HATE THIS POS!

I bought my Whirlpool Convection oven in mid August 2019 from Lowes. I have had to call no less than 5 times about my NEW oven which I am extremely remorseful of buying. I am so unhappy with my experience mostly due to my expectation that my new oven would have been able to meet my demanding needs baking and cooking. I would have thought that it would have lasted longer than 4-5 months. The bottom left hinge is faulty which I am told is an undocumented problem for this particular oven. I noticed that it was having a problem when the oven wasn’t quite making a seal. Slowly it got worse until now it makes an initial click then I can open it about 5 to 6 inches and then have to lift it up so that I can open it without making a horrible noise and a dent in the frame. The first time I called was on Saturday Jan 4th. It took me 1 hour to get through to speak to a person. I asked why I couldn’t get a new door to the oven and they told me the hinges have to be installed separately because this model is made to be able to take the door off for cleaning purposes. They set me up for service on Wed Jan 8th between 12 and 4p. I wasn’t as unhappy at this point. I even got a text saying that the appliance company would be coming between 12 and 2. At 12 when I woke up after working nights, I got a message saying that they hadn’t received the part yet and that there would be no point in them coming. I called Whirlpool again and they told me that the part was on backorder and that in fact the part had to be fabricated and it may take up to 10 business days but that they would have the part sent directly to my house. By this stage I am very unhappy.I called back this morning and told the person that I would rather have a new oven or my money back and that my less expensive and less decorative oven that came with my house lasted me 20 yrs. I get a lot of “I’m sorry” and “I apologize” but that doesn’t fix my problem. I also told them that now the frame of the oven is being dented so I am going to have a less than perfect appliance which is no fault of my own. The only info the person could give me is the tracking number of the part they were able to locate which would be coming Fedex.I tracked it and it was due to come no later than Tuesday night. So I called the original service company in my area who told me to call to set up the service time when the part came in. I figured I would get a jump on it and call. They told me that they were all booked up this week and I would have to wait until next week. Do you think that this is how your customers should be treated? I feel as though I am being punished by choosing to buy an appliance from Whirlpool. I then tried calling back to set up an appt with a new company but the wait time was too long. I had just worked nights and needed to get some sleep. I called back this afternoon and again had to explain the whole situation AGAIN. I was able to set up an appt with a different company for Monday between 12 and 4 which happens to be on Martin Luther King day…so I am hoping it is not a mistake.Do you think this is fair treatment for a customer who just bought a brand new oven less than 5 months ago? Would you like this type of service? Would this give you any confidence to buy products from Whirlpool? I don’t believe that I would be able to recommend Whirlpool in good faith. The people who I have talked to have never been rude or disrespectful however, I feel as though my unhappiness is just par for the course. I feel as though it is just my tough luck and “oh well so sorry” instead of the attitude that you want to make everything right as quickly as possible. I ask myself if the problem was the store I chose to buy from? If I should have gone to Sears and bought one of their products or where I went wrong.

I would NOT recommend Whirlpool. I have now heard of other people having the same issue. Very disappointed. Will probably buy a new dishwasher as it will probably happen again with the replacement wheels.

March 18, 2018. I was called today to inform me that the right front burner on my new stove Model # WEG745H0FS0 (ordered in early September and not delivered until mid-October from Menards) was not operating properly. The flame was noisy and yellow. I inspected it and found that the front burner base was substantially damaged by heat. See photo (Whirlpool stove part damage1). On inspection of the other front burner base, I discovered early signs of the same problem. (Note changes on burner base on the left of the photo.)In this photo (Whirlpool stove part damage2.JPG), you can see the damage to the burner base and also see some changes on the 3 to 5 O’clock position on the burner base on the left of the photo. This stove is less than 6 months old. The fact that the burner parts can be melted indicate poor design and danger to the owner/operator of the stove. Further, the operators manual for the stove I bought does not include any information on the model I have. It has pictures of the range top similar to mine but the model number is completely different. In addition to this, the Aqua-Lift Technology for cleaning the oven is completely ineffective. This is noted in several other reviews of this equipment. The problem noted by the other review became obvious the very first day I tried to use this range. A 2 cup pot spilled all over the cooktop as soon as I put it on the grate.

We had bought a whirlpool refrigerator (Model - DC 205 5S/2016) in late Apr
We had bought a whirlpool refrigerator (Model - DC 205 5S/2016) in late April 2016. Initially I noticed a whirring sound after 6-7 hours of switching it on. As nobody from whirlpool had come for installation or any follow up even after requesting, we let it go thinking that nothing could go wrong with a new fridge. Nevertheless, the disturbing sound continued, until I noticed exposed wires running crisscross atop the freezer box and below it, one even preventing the chiller tray to be pulled out easily. Also, we had to get a stabilizer to reduce the notice even though it was written in big bold letters that it was a Stabilizer free refrigerator. After 8 months of owning it, we went for a three-day trip leaving the refrigerator on and set at point 3 in the cooling knob of which 5 is the maximum. On returning back, I noticed a crack at the top right corner of the freezer door and saw that ice had built up covering that side of the freezer inside. Again, as I had to leave for office within 1 hour, I let it rest and went. In the evening we noticed that the crack had extended, so we defrosted the fridge. The next morning I found a small piece of the freezer door floating in the defrosted water, and the freezer door was unhinged and askew at the top, in fact a part of the freezer doors upper right hinge had broken due to maybe the pressure of ice buildup, which had caused the crack that we saw.Shocking it was at first to learn that a freezer door be made of such low standard material ignoring the other fact of wires jutting out of the freezer at top and bottom. As the warranty period was 12 months, I immediately called the customer care, who put me on hold for 8-10minutes and disconnected, this repeated 2 times after which I was frustrated enough and vowed not to use the freezer again. After almost a month a more responsible member of my family took it upon himself and raised a complaint which was answered and a service person came home with a dirty looking and completely scratched piece of replacement door for the freezer. He informed that plastic pieces never came in warranty and we had to pay for it. Upon asking for further clarification he called his manager, Hemanth who was too rude and informed Madam you have pulled the freezer door apart which has caused this. Also, he was asking me specifically are you lying as you said initially that you left for 3days and now you said 5 days? We had left on a Friday night and came back on Tuesday morning, which means 3 complete days out of station. I never knew the exact number of days mattered as a fridge was supposed to be switched on continuously for days. Also, finally Hemanth was informing like if it was some mechanical or electrical fault we could have done it free of cost. So, I reported the whirring noise and the wires jutting out of the freezer tray. He blabbered at first and then informed me that the sound might be due to voltage fluctuation if you are not using a stabilizer (we were using one even though the fridge was a stabilizer free operation one, phew) and the wires issue he completely ignored claiming it as normal. So we paid in full for the dirty and scratched replacement door and also had to be called as liars and blamed that we had literally pulled off the door. Also, he was the most unprofessional manager that I had ever spoken to as he closed the conversation with, If it was LG or Samsung, they would never even have come for service like this. Enough was enough... Never in my life would I have anything to do with whirlpool nor will suggest this brand to anybody. They use such low-quality products. The warranty promises are just scam + even the managers are so insulting and bad mannered to the extent that I never want to deal with them anymore. Also, they dont think twice before just blaming the customers for their low-quality products. In all my years so far I have never come across a brand that treat their customers like this.

I would like to extend my appreciation to Whirlpool for quickly responding to our requests. Within a matter of days, we were contacted by a Whirlpool corporate representative. She listened to our issue and was extremely understanding of our frustrations. The representative assured us that we were valued customers and offered to contact our local service provider and authorize the needed repairs to our refrigerator. This interaction has restored our faith in Whirlpool and its partner brands. The representative also provided guidance on future purchases in contacting Whirlpool to purchase its extended warranty.I would suggest using Whirlpools warranty program instead of a retailers program. Contact Whirlpool to purchase any extended warranties directly, instead of purchasing an extended plan at the time of purchase. Thank you to Whirlpool and to our extremely helpful representative. I am not including her name, to protect anonymity.

I am very disappointed in my Cabrio washer. I have had it for two year and now I have to spend $ 250.00 on a machine that sounds like Im in a machine factory. It is so loud in the spin cycle that you cant hear a TV or radio. Also the lit of the washer broke in the start of the second year. I had my previous washer for 15 years before requiring a service call. I have to agree with all the reviews that this washer should be recalled. Maybe if we all call the media in on this problem Whirlpool will be forced to pay for a recall or repairs. Another case of big business ripping off the consumer.

My Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator is just 4 years old. When they delivered it, they noticed damage on the bottom which required them to bring me a new refrigerator. The new one had issues with the ice maker that required multiple service calls to fix. The refrigerator door always seemed a bit misaligned as it was a bit lower than the freezer door, but it closed, so I never complained. I was just tired of all the issues! During the last six months, the door started to remain ajar instead of closing completely so that we had to always be sure to apply sufficient pressure to close it tightly. I considered calling in a repair, but it was still closing so I thought I might be overly critical. As it got worse, I realized the door was defective, but one day, it just fell off completely without warning as though the hinges were made of butter! After multiple service calls, a tech reattached the door, but I could see that it would not hold and sure enough, it is starting to remain ajar again. I have contacted the warranty company who is now saying the service tech claimed we were hanging on the door. This repair company the warranty company uses has an F rating with the BBB. Now, Im being told it may take a couple weeks to get another repair company to give them an opinion, but the issue is clear, the door was defective and it looks like they found a way to avoid having to make good on the warranty!

Washer MOD WTW4800XQ2 - I purchased this washer about 2 years ago after my 15 year old washer died. I have always used Whirlpool appliances as well as my Mother that recommended Whirlpool to me some 40 years ago. I knew when this machine was delivered and set up that I was in for change. It locks down to where you cant get in it for too long of a period of time. I am a really busy person, and HATE this, but if that were the only issue, I could accept that. We live on a farm and our clothes get really soiled especially in the warmer months. I like to pre-soak white clothes, NOT happening with this machine!!! It ends the cycle after about 30 minutes so I have to start over, wasting water. But the main issue is the machine tries to level the clothes, or whatever it is doing on its own before filling with water. I wash a lot of clothes!!! I am going to say that 90% of the loads of clothes that I have washed with this machine have been off balance, banging around bad. I then have to wait for it to unlock so that I can pull out the dripping wet clothes and replace to try and get it balanced. I am 59 years old, I got married at 14. So Ive been washing clothes for a LONG time... This machine is junk to say the least. I recently house sat for family. They purchased a new GE washer and dryer a little bit before I got these, wonderful machines!!! I washed dog beds, sheets, blankets and tons of clothes during this time. WOW, I had forgot that washing clothes didnt have to be torture. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product. This washer has exhausted me. I purchased it at Lowes on tunnel rd in Asheville, NC. Please, if you havent already, junk this design... Its gonna lose your loyal customers. This complaint has nothing to do with where I purchased it. I did not contact the store as they did not design the machine. I did NOT want to pay for service on a poorly designed product...

Just now, I was able to install this replacement to our 30-year-old water heater that was showing problems. When trying to start the unit, I kept getting the response that the lower sensor unit failed. We contacted plumbing companies. We were told they would not work on any Whirlpool models purchased from Lowe’s, because they were the worst hot water heater ever made. I called Whirlpool support. The duet washer is just over one year old and started showing F25 code on screen. It had been making a really loud noise in the spin cycle. Last week, a really loud noise and then the loads wouldnt be spun. There was a puddle of water on the floor near the machine. We had a repairman out today and he stated that theyre repairing these machines all the time. He stated it was the bearing and that theyd been told that Whirlpool had installed bad bearing from a different supplier. I called the Whirlpool experience and after 4 minutes and 19 seconds, I actually spoke with a service rep. She said since my machine is less than one month over the one year warranty, Id have to call the extended warranty people. I asked for a supervisor and after 2 minutes and 38 seconds, she came in line and wouldnt budge from her story. They also stated that there are no service issues with this model washer. Extremely poor attitude and Whirlpool is doing everyone, whoever purchased a duet washer, a terrible job on these washers. At least, Ive now found out that there are a lot of other folks out there with the same problem. We need to get some attorneys to start a class action just like the mold/smell customers did already. I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator from Whirlpool guest system (online) in 2010 for around $1,160. Recently, it stopped dispensing water from the dispenser. I called the Whirlpool certified A&E serviceman to repair the dispenser. He concluded that the water line is frozen inside the door. He also stated that such issues with the door shouldnt happen for at least 10 years. He gave me a bill of $920 to replace the door. I called Whirlpool and they declined to pay for the repair as it is out of warranty. I feel that they sold me a faulty refrigerator and they should pay for this expensive repair. With $920, I can probably pay for a new refrigerator (not Whirlpool, of course). I am completely disappointed by Whirlpools customer service and poor quality of their product. This company, I believe, is more interested in selling crappy products, make profit and not provide good customer service. Shame on you!

Whirlpool Duet 2009 Model WFW9400SW02 - Worst experience ever with a new Whirlpool front Load washing machine. It broke down with error codes F28, F70, F71 13th month just after warranty and was leaking water. Bought 1 yr 153.00 Whirlpool extended warranty. Many reviews in internet have same complaint. Immediately had it repaired after waiting my 60 days to use warranty, but did not work after the door latch switch and one of 3 main circuit boards was replaced which was over $600.00. That was 2 visits. Fired them and had warranty company send different repair Co. They came twice with a cost of $840.00 and worked for 30 days and then had no power. 3rd repair company came out and wanted $350.00 to order part. I was offered $1195.00 cash or $1499.00 replacement top of line Whirlpool WFL98HEBU. Nice! But only 1 year warranty and I had to pay 200.00 shipping. I decided to take the money since I did not want to risk the break down on the new washer. The reviews on the new washer were not favorable with break down as the main complaint. 4 repairs in 1 year is lemon law on my warranty. My repairs were 4 in 45 days.

The ice machine did not work from day one and they knew it was defective when I called so they had someone come out to replace it. Just over a year later it is not working again and my freezer will not freeze either. They tell me I am now out of warranty and any repairs going forward will be out of pocket. Congratulations Whirlpool. You make products that last a whole year. Do not buy Whirlpool. They could care less about you or the quality of their products.

I have been TRYING replace a damaged panel on a $10,000.00 Jenn-Air refrigerator for over 10 months now!! Whirlpool is the supplier of Jenn-Air - I have probably spent at least 3 HOURS on the phone talking with one rep after another who ASSURES me they will deal with my problem!! Last week I gave my credit card # to the rep - who told me my part was sitting there, waiting for my # to be shipped. When I asked why no one had called me to let me know, especially considering the amount of time I have been waiting - she said she didnt know. One week later, I call AGAIN to find out why my credit card does not show the payment. Only this time to talk to a fellow who says my part is still on backorder, and they used my card # to put a $1.00 charge against it - to hold it for when my part arrives.. BUT has NO IDEA when that may be! I feel Angry, totally discouraged, lied to, and used! I will NEVER purchase any appliances under the Whirlpool affiliate. This is abhorrent customer service - a $10,000.00 appliance and this is how it is dealt with!!! Bad, very bad!!

I had an electric 36 Whirlpool, smooth top cook top for 18 yrs. Worked great, cleaned with Windex and occasional scraper. Didnt show streaks or spots. I remodeled my kitchen 10/15 and bought a KitchenAid 36 glass smooth top vented cook top. What a piece of junk. Wish I had kept my Whirlpool. I can not get it cleaned. Every little fingerprint, mark, etc. shows. I thought KitchenAid was an upgrade to whirlpool but I was surely wrong. I am glad that I didnt change my built-in double oven. I did change out the Whirlpool quiet gold dishwasher for the KitchenAid. Again, wish I kept my Whirlpool. The KitchenAid is noisier, looks terrible with the stainless inside. Im embarrassed to open it with all the water stains. My Whirlpool was white inside and looked like new. I wish I had the money to change it back but I dont unfortunately. Moral of the story is if it aint broken dont fix it!

My father and I both got the Whirlpool Gold gas furnace 3 seasons ago. I can't tell you how happy we both are! Our heating bills plummeted; the unit is quiet and does a fantastic job. I am 50 and I have to admit this is in the top 5 of the best purchases I ever made. For me to take the time to find a place to write a review 3 years later should be testament to how happy I am. Make sure you have it professionally installed! Don't skimp here…this is the key!

NOT Even a 1 STAR!!! We spent A LOT of money on a Whirlpool Smart wall oven combo. It has only been installed for about 2 hrs. My husband and I have been trying to figure out why all the features on the Whirlpool app aren’t working. Most of our home has smart features and is connected to our phones so it’s not the fact that we aren’t tech savvy. I finally gave up and decided I’ll call customer service line about it tomorrow when they open. It’s Sunday night so every number we call says it’s outside of business hrs. Then excited to turn on the oven for the first time I turn the oven on and the noise that the fan is making is so loud you can’t even talk over it. The oven has been off for 15 min now but the noise continues. 3000.00 for a huge disappointment. Not to mention the thing is HEAVY. So the thought of us having to remove it and replace it with another does NOT make us happy at all. Best Buy or Whirlpool WILL be the ones doing that. For the trouble and money spent that’s the least they can do. Also family is coming into town for the holiday. We made sure to purchase way ahead of time to be sure we had it, installed it and can use it a few times to get the new smell out of it. Very very upset, angry and disappointed. Now it’s been 10 more minutes and the loud broken fan still won’t even turn off. Now we have to shut it off at the breaker. At this point I don’t think we will be even exchanging it for the same product. I knew we should have bought a Samsung!

I have a double door bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured by whirlpool. It is less than 2 years old and is an absolute piece of garbage! In less than a year the noise started, then the freezer became a refrigerator and my frozen stuff melted. I had a local technician come in and he fixed it but he indicated that the fix would not likely correct the problem. Sure enough, about 6 months later the same problem started all over again. Nowadays one is never sure where a product is manufactured. However, if Whirlpool had their products made by chimpanzees in the jungle they would be better than the pieces of trash they are now selling!

Suddenly I get a person who sounds enthusiastic about customer service after a day of writing bad reviews on Lowes and Whirlpool sites and as many consumer review sites as I could find! I had even called Lowes corporate offices! A repairman is coming out tomorrow (after being told that one could not show up until September!) to check the NEW refrigerator that has frozen all of my produce and soften my frozen foods! I am 12 miles from the nearest town and took over half of my food for the month to the dumpster site today because it was spoiled. If you have a problem and no one has instructions to help you or is listening or even cares.....MAKE NOISE! IT WORKS. After Hurricane Katrina, six years ago, the gas water heater in my house had to be replaced due to the house getting flooded. For the past six years, the pilot light and/or igniter for the gas water heater has had to be replaced if not once a year, twice a year because it will not stay lit. Each time, Whirlpool would send a new igniter and/or pilot light part and would reimburse me the cost of labor to have the part(s) replaced. Now, after six years and exhausted of fighting with Whirlpool to stand behind their product and make it right, they are finally giving me an authorization to get a new gas water heater. However, now they are telling me they will not cover the cost of labor for replacing the entire water heater. My plumber will have to pull the defective water heater out of my house, take it to Lowes, pick up the new water heater and install it in my home. And Im supposed to accept their not paying for the labor of replacing their faulty water heater? I questioned this and told Whirlpool they paid for labor for the parts to be replaced for the past six years. Whirlpool then said they would pay up to $100. This is not acceptable. I was reimbursed more than $100 for the labor to replace a part that fits in a shoe box. (Multiply $100+ times 6. They paid more than $600 over the past six years.) The cost to replace an entire water heater, picking it up from the store included, will cost more than $200, if not $300! I would not have to pay anything if the Whirlpool product was not defective!I told the manager I was speaking with at Whirlpool I wanted to speak with his boss or someone who had more authority than he did. He refused. I asked him, Was he telling me no I could not speak with someone above him? He finally said he would have someone call me.I believe I should be reimbursed for the entire amount of labor to replace the water heater since the water heater is a defective product and I have to have it replaced not by my choice but out of necessity and safety. If it is defective in one area, who is to say in trying to light the pilot light, one day it will not do something worse than just not light up. What if it decides to explode? Defective is defective and I feel my family is in danger from a defective product and it should be replaced at the cost of Whirlpool not mine.

Weve had our Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer just over a year. I like them both but then we are having problems with our lid. The first one cracked after 9 months and they replaced the lid. Two months later, the new one cracked and they replaced the hinges and lid again. I assure you we are very careful when lowering and lifting the lid. I do 80% and my husband does 20%, and we are very cautious of it especially after the second one broke. Now, I was just putting laundry in and the third one cracked while lifting the lid. There is obviously a problem, and Im wondering if anyone else is having the same issues. Eventually, it will crack all the way through which will cause the glass to pop up and the lid wont lock. I will not buy anything with a glass lid again!

We bought a Whirlpool washer (Model # WTW4900BWO) and dryer (#WED4850BW) and within 2 months I was having problems with the washer AND dryer. Every time I washed a load of clothes, the clothes would have some yucky stuff hanging all over it. I called Whirlpool and was told to try setting the washer on 1 Rinse with Softener even though I never use a liquid softener. Their suggestion did solve the problem, but why doesnt a brand-new washer work the way its supposed to? A short time later, my dryer buzzer stopped working and the knob would not advance when set on the Energy Preferred setting. I called Whirlpool again and was told they did not have a service technician in the area where I lived and that it was not likely that one technician would come on the same day to service both machines. I asked why they would sell their products in an area where they were not willing to service them and they said that is the choice of the store that sold it to me. Then they told me there was a service technician available about 40 miles away and they would fax the order to them so they could contact me. The technician who came did look at both machines and was able to determine that the control panel needed replacing on the dryer, but was not able to do anything about the Rinse Option problem on the washer. He suggested that I continue to follow the recommendation of Whirlpool as long as it works. I can do that, but Im not happy that a new machine does not work the way its supposed to. He also recommended NOT using liquid laundry detergent or fabric softener in my washer because it contains animal fat and can build up and cause problems. Nowhere in the manual did it say that. He took the washer apart and showed me how it was already building up under the washer basket. I told the technician that my laundry has had an unpleasant odor to it when it comes out of the washer and even after it is dry. He said that might be because of the small amount of water that is used in the energy saving washer. If these problems cannot be resolved, I consider this washer to be a lemon and hope it will be replaced with a new one. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy a traditional washer. I liked the idea of conserving water, but not if my familys clothes stinks.

I had purchased a washing machine trough CSD canteen and go for AMC for five years on September 25, 2006. In September 2010, I lodged a complaint and the Engineer visited and asked for a replacement of the bottom cover. I said okay, but later on he told me that I have to replace the complete outer cover. I agreed and asked them to replace it. The cost is fixed for 2,500Rs. They replaced the cover but did not replace the bottom cover.I talked to the agency and they agreed to hold to 1,000Rs for the bottom cover and I paid to them 1,500Rs. Later they brought an old cover and I refused to replace that. They told that the bottom cover is not available. Then they never tried to replace the bottom cover. I arranged for the same from the local marketing for 600Rs and replaced it. I paid the service charge for the engineer.Later, I lodged a complaint that the machine was not drying the cloth. The engineer visited and told me that the belt will be replaced on payment. I agreed and he told me that I will visit the next day and replaced the belt. But he did not come until it was late.On September 18, 2011, with number DL0911018283, my machine was not switching on and I lodged a complaint to customer care. But no engineer visited me. Then I regularly complained but there was no response from the agency. On September 23, I talked to customer care, Mr. **, that I am going out of station and I lodged a complaint from the last five days that no engineer visited me. My AMC is expiring on September 25, 2011. I will come back on October and then send the engineer. On October 9, I reminded them that they refresh my complaint with number DL1011007031. The engineer visited and told me that the PCB of the machine is faulty and I have to pay 3,500Rs.I told him that I complained for this problem during the AMC period, hence they are supposed to repair my machine free of cost but he refused. I talked to customer care and tried to resolve the issue but I was not successful. Then I talked to Mr. **, the head of Customer care in Delhi, on October 12. He promised to resolve the issue but no engineer visited me and my machine is still defective. On October 13, I tried to contact Mr. ** several times but he or his PA is not picking up the phone. Now, how will I get to repair my machine?

Whirlpool French Door Plus 3 drawers: This MSRP $3400 refrigerator has great features. Great ice makers. No issues up top. First 18 months were great. 4 repairs in the past 11 months. All freezer temp issues. We had noticed a number of ice sparkles forming on our unopened food. Frozen fruit was mushy. Temp usually read 0 degrees. One day I opened it and the temp was 40. Two hours later, it was close to 0. I started monitoring it closely. High temperatures occurred around noon. Zero degrees most of the time. After the third repair, service tech called Whirlpool and found part was redesigned. New part didn’t help. We understand the freezer has a heater in it, to defrost. The heater stays on too long. That explains why the freezer temp went as high as 50 degrees, while the fridge was perfect.I purchased this at Lowes. I always buy Lowes extended warranties. Thankfully, they bought back my 30 month old refrigerator. Kudos to Lowes warranty company. Never put on long holds. Fast response. I noticed the price for the warranty on refrigerators in this price range has increased by $100. Reflects a lot of repairs on refrigerator models. One thing though. I learned 3 repairs within a 30 day period is considered one repair, for purposes of their lemon policy. I will also add that the warranty company reimburses you 50% of the cost of filters. Simple process. I have read complaints that they make it too difficult to collect. That is just not true. Have been reimbursed $100 for filters to date. In 5 years, Even at the increased price, the savings will pay for the warranty. No brainer.

I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine from PC Richards in Lake Grove 15 months ago. I paid $590.00. I had to call PC Richards back because it sounded like the machine was not spinning right. The servicemen came back and said nothing was wrong. It was supposed to sound like that. Now the machine stopped draining and spinning. I went to the store and they handed me customer service numbers and said they could not help me. I contacted Whirlpool online and received a phone call from a woman that gave me a lesson on how to load the machine and put soap in it! She was a very polite woman, but, gee, that didn’t solve my problem. After 4 days I was able to get through by phone and was told to call service. I contacted Mahler Appliance. He looked at it and said he couldn’t fix it and took a check for $81.47. He told me to call Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool again and got their service people. The gentleman came and could not figure out what was wrong. He tried a few things and said it was probably the main board. He said to call Whirlpool, but they most likely won’t give me back my money. He could charge me $460.00 for a new board per his supervisor. I just paid $590.00 for the machine and another $87.00 to some guy who took advantage. He left with an $87.00 check and I still have a broken washer. He did tighten up a loose wire he said he found and told me to try it and good luck. So I tried it. I put clothes in and turned it on.I came back about 20 minutes later to see if it continued to run and I slipped and fell on the ceramic floor because water drained out from somewhere and went all over my floor. I have injured my back and elbow from hitting the hard floor. I also have water all over the place and finally a very broken defective washer. I am angry. I hurt myself and have spent close to $1000.00 and I still have no working washer and no way to buy another one. The washer is 15 months old. That’s brand new to me. There was obviously a problem from the beginning. Whirlpool has always had a quality name for years. I would hope that they would stand by their product and fix my washer for me. It is obviously defective.

My wife and I purchased a Cabrio washing machine and dryer, this is by far the worst washing machine we’ve ever owned. It hardly fills, even in deep water cycle. If you watch the clothes through the smoked glass lid with a flashlight, you can see they don’t even go underwater. The dryer seems to be fine but I would never recommend the washing machine to anybody looking to buy one.

What is the brilliant idea of a mode dial on a washing machine that needs to be pushed in or pulled out to engage its function??? In other words, why is there a free-spin mode of THE DIAL itself? Okay. IN OTHER WORDS, why not just let the handle part of the dial stay affixed to the red line mark, so that they continuously turn together at ALL times???

On October 25, 2014, I lost my home, all of my belongings, and nearly lost my wife when my Whirlpool range model xfe371lvbo shorted out and caught fire. After spending thousands of dollars for an independent investigation to be conducted on the stove, it was determined that the control panel on the console shorted out, causing the fire. Since then, I havent had any response back from Whirlpool. I am in the process of meeting the required criteria for filing a claim, but have some questions, and everyone seems to be ignoring me. This refrigerator (French Door Refrigerator Model: WRF757SDEM) has been problematic since day one. The ice dispenser sends crushed ice all over the kitchen floor. The temperature in the upper 3/4 of the storage area and on the door is 57 degrees (it should be between 36 and 40 degrees). The item was purchased at Best Buy on October, 2016. It is still under warranty. I have had several visits by repair people and so far no fix. My friends call it a crockerator, since you can freeze food in the freezer and slowly cook food in the refrigerator section. I tried twice to get Whirlpool to pick up this thing, but so far no go. DO NOT EVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR! They used to make good products, but no longer do.

My wife and I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer 5 years 1 month ago. We purchased the front load style because they were supposed to be better made than the older style. Its just my wife and I no kids. We never overload the washer or dryer. Now the drum bearings in the washer have gone out. I feel that a washer should last longer than 5 years and 1 month. Four years old and only used by a 2 family home. No kids overloading it. Probably wash 3 loads a week on average. After 4 years, it has started the grease flying out of the bottom and now leaking water. My appliance repair man told me to scrap it and buy a new one. The repair and the parts are too expensive and in the end it is still junk. I realize things wont last 30 years like they used to but can I get 7 years out of a major appliance?

Worst customer service I have ever seen. I have been waiting on a part for my dishwasher since before Thanksgiving. I have sat on hold for 2 or more hours. They cannot connect you to a supervisor, you just continue to wait on hold. They cannot give an eta for the part that has supposedly been in production since before Thanksgiving. I get told one thing, then when I call back for an update 2 weeks later that person has no idea what Im talking about. I will tell you one thing, if you do not want a headache, I suggest you buy another product!! I can guarantee, I will let everyone I know and never purchase Whirlpool again if this is not resolved this week! After doing my research, this part should be recalled. It is a big issue with this very expensive dishwasher.

They are about as worthless as box of rocks. They refuse to replace the thermocoupling free of charge or at least no shipping charge, when they know in fact there is a problem. It was because no class action lawsuit was filed. Its too bad for the customers. I wished they would have just said: “lady, please take your business somewhere else.” It would have made things easier. Or, better yet, they should just put a sign on their water heaters in the store stating: “If you have problems with our product, sorry about your luck. ** you and have a nice day.”

We purchased a 4 piece set of Whirlpool kitchen appliances and have minor to major problems with 3 out of the 4. We had problems with our gas range/oven from the start. When I called to register the brand new range they told me it had been previously registered to someone else and they made me fax my receipt to them proving that the appliance was purchased new. Lowes said it was brand new in the box when I purchased it leading me to believe Whirlpool tried to pass off a refurbished product onto Lowes and then onto us. No surprise when the stove stopped working 3 times in barely over a year. It was so defective Lowes ended up replacing it for us. Not Whirlpool... they only argued with me about how the third time it was out of warranty and offered no help in fixing or replacing the defective oven. Now our ice maker just stopped dispensing ice 7 days after our warranty expired on our refrigerator model # WRS586FLDM00. Whirlpool will only agree to cover parts and is sticking us with the service call and labor! And thats not all... the plastic coating on the dishwasher racks started coming off exposing rusty metal when it was barely over a year old and I have received a postcard indicating there is a lawsuit involving our model for overheating and fire events! Now waiting for that to be our next issue. I am so disgusted with Whirlpool. We bought Whirlpool appliances believing they were quality products. They are quite the opposite. Wish I had researched their reputation and history of complaints before buying. Do not recommend Whirlpool Brand. Sincerely, Disgusted in California

This is not a new washer (Whirlpool Cabrio INTW6200VWO) and it works well BUT since we have owned it we have had rust at the bleach dispenser. I am seeing on the internet there are many complaints about this and there was a recall? But they have run out of replacement parts??? Never received any recall notice. We have online instructions on how to repair and have done this many times and the rust comes back. About a week ago we sanded, primed and enamel painted the area plus I have put NO BLEACH in the dispenser and the rust is coming back. I hate to replace a working machine but this rust can and will get on my clothing. Whirlpool was the absolutely best in the past but this one is a lemon.

Be very careful when you buy this heater. It will go bad within a short time, and you wont have any hot water heater. You call Lowes, they wont take it back, they will tell you to call Whirlpool who may send you a part or send someone to fix it. No hot water for many days. Again, after a short time, it will stop working and by the time you get it fixed, again no hot water for a long time. This is the pattern with this piece of garbage. So you get disgusted, rip the thing apart and take it to Lowes for a refund.. Sorry Dude, they wont take it...it is stated in their receipt or on the literature that came with the heater. Your best bet... put a bunch of dents in the heater and tell them it was damaged when you opened it... Lowes will be obligated to refund the money. With so many complaints on Consumer Affairs and other web sites, why is Lowes still selling this heater and no other brand??? Maybe Superbowl tickets or a trip to Hawaii for the buyers...who knows...but one thing for sure, since Whirlpool does not respond to these complaints, I will guarantee you that their other products will suffer in sales because, I for one, will not buy another Whirlpool product.

When I contacted customer service, I was told (after waiting on hold for about 1 hour) that it was customer misuse. Ahem, first I heard that, and I think I know how to use a washing machine. I asked to speak with a supervisor. More waiting. Tina (#**) told me she will contact the service company about the parts. I told her to please conference me in on the call because I want to hear the outcome (and I dont want to wait another 1+ hour to reach customer service again). This company has terrible, deceitful, and pass the buck practices. I purchased a Bravos MCT top loading Maytag washer from Home Depot. Maytag is now owned by or has been acquired by Whirlpool. First I was a little disappointed to learn that because I had previously purchased two Whirlpool made washers and got no more than six years of service out of both them. But from the day this washer was delivered it did not perform as it should. I called and texted with the hours provided for rejection of the washer and was told by a customer service representative that it would be replaced. The main problem was the spin cycle. With only a few clothes in it, it jumped all around and moved so much that it was sitting in the middle of the washroom. Thinking that occurrence was a one time thing, I stopped it; cancelled the cycle; and reset it. It finished the load. This occurrence was reported and simply fell on deaf ears. I was lied to and told a replacement would be made; it was not. I have sent numerous emails and have made several calls for more than a year now and I still have the same defective washer in my home. Each time I emailed, I received a different message from the customer service person. This company wants me to pay for a service call or buy an additional warranty for a defective machine they produced and refuse to honor their replacement policy— which they now say is the responsibility of Home Depot. Luckily I have kept every email and document I was provided. I am being forced to file a claim against this company to get their attention and to remedy this situation. The expense of the claim will be greater the cost of purchasing another machine, but it is this kind of behavior, on the part of A corporate giant, that is makes life tough for everyday people like me. Stay away from the Whirlpool name for washers—even a prior good name brand like Maytag.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio set, in 2009. I bought the top loading washer, and matching dryer. Since 2009, I have had the washer serviced FIVE times. Bearings, water pump, F1, F2, ul codes, and a few other things, I honestly cant remember. I love this capacity. But that is all I love about this machine. Today, the water pump went out again. I have been reading online regarding loose coins making their way into the drain pump, the hose, and other parts of the washer. I am diligent about emptying my pockets, but, obviously, someone in the house is not. There should be a trap for the coins, buttons, and any other debris that passes through, but, clearly there is not, and it appears I am not the only one with this problem. I am so frustrated. I paid almost $3,000.00 for this set. It was my very first brand new set and I have had so many problems with this. With all of the problems and all of the complaints, and so many similar complaints, why is Whirlpool not acknowledging them? Why are they not doing anything about it? Side note, my dryer works fine.

We bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator about three years ago. Because of space, we had to purchase one with a top freezer and also with no ice maker. First of all we didnt realize it was much deeper than our old Kenmore so it stuck out further into the kitchen space. That was not that big of an issue. At first everything ran great including the top freezer compartment, or so we thought. Then we noticed that when we had ice cream in the freezer and put water in ice cube trays to freeze, the ice cream would get very very soft. This continued to the point that now anytime I put water in there to freeze ice cubes I have to turn up the temperature to keep the ice cream frozen. Once the ice cubes are froze, there is no problem, but they take at least six hours to freeze. Then one day when a young child slammed the refrigerator door closed, the freezer door popped open about an eighth of an inch and then closed again. So, I tried it. Anytime you close the refrigerator door a little too hard the freezer door pops open. I then tried the dollar bill test to check the strength of the seal. The bill pulled right out of the door with very little effort. So, is the problem bad seals, bad design, or bad quality control, or what. How can I be assured that the frozen foods in the freezer are being frozen as solid as they should be. I know they dont freeze solid enough in the freezer door. I will eventually dump this refrigerator and go get another Frigidaire. If we have to get one with a bottom freezer, we will just have to rearrange our kitchen to accommodate it. But, having to turn the temp up and down every day is ridiculous. I have had issues with food close to the walls in all refrigerators slightly freeze, but never had an issue with keeping things cold enough. I will never buy another Whirlpool refrigerator, stove, or anything else for that matter. I have always had good luck with Frigidaire, so I will stick with what I know works.

I purchased a Cabrio Top Load Washer and Front Load Dryer four and a 1/2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble with them! The dryer needs to be run 2 cycles to get the clothes dry. In that time I have had a repairman come to the house 3 different times to look at the dryer, which cost me over $200. They have had to replace the belt and inner pulley and then the sensor harness. Recently when they came they tried replacing the coils. It continues to give me trouble drying the clothes and I am very dissatisfied with it. A few weeks ago the washer broke. I have had repairmen come to the house 4 different times. Multiple times there has been a problem with the spin and drain cycle. All of the water would not empty out. I would have to run the cycle again. They eventually replaced the actuator. I continued to have difficulties with the washer. Then the machine got very loud when it would spin out sounding like a rocket was going to take off! The repairman came once again said it was the motor. When they returned with the parts and took the machine apart, the parts inside the machine had all corroded! The water had been leaking inside the machine, destroying it, and a black sticky buildup had formed! The machine was deemed unrepairable! I paid over $700 for each machine and am very upset about this. When I spoke to customer service they would not stand by their product because I didnt have the warranty anymore. After numerous phone calls I filed a complaint and gave a bad review of the support service and product that I received.Weeks later they called me and offered to have me purchase another machine at half price! I had already bought another brand washing machine and I asked them to apply the amount toward what I had spent on the new one. They would not and insisted the only thing they could do would be to have me buy their washer at half price. I told them I lost faith in their product and didnt want another one. So, I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer, or Whirlpool products since they will not stand by them! I have pictures to prove what happened to the washer!

If you want clean clothes dont buy this machine(Cabrio Washer)! First of all I find that my clothes have dry spot on them when I pull them out of the machine. Whirlpools response is that the machine spins at such a high rate that the cloth will actually seem dry. Doesnt make sense to me that a shirt that has another garment on top of it gets dry in an unexposed area. I have also been told to always use the high water setting. This helps but the clothes still are not clean. Also my dark slacks come out with residue lines on them - Whirlpools solution; never wash anything in cold water. In addition the machine is very noisy. It sounds like the water pipes are being kicked out of the wall. And forget about washing a king size comforter as advertised, a twin comforter doesnt get clean or even thoroughly wet and residue lines are left behind. Hate this machine! So glad I didnt buy the extended warranty since my attempts to have them stand behind this product have failed. I feel the money would be better used towards a different brand.

WRF989SDAM00 - We spent about $1800 on a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator and at 1.5 years we had to replace the compressor for $700+. Apparently Whirlpool will only warranty for 1 year. The repairman told me the compressor he was putting in is exactly the same model as the bad one he took out so I guess I am not surprised that it only has a 1.5 year working range. We are now 1.5 years into the new compressor and sure enough it is dying again. Now it sounds like a jet plane taking off. By the time I replace it again I could have bought a new refrigerator. I am trying to figure out if this refrigerator is on recall because I cant keep replacing the compressor every 1.5 year. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product. I think they know the lifespan of that compressor and that is why the warranty falls just short of it!!

This product deserves ZERO stars! I purchased a Cabrio washer - dryer in October, 2013. I have carefully followed the instructions for the washer. I am hugely distressed about the large amount of money I spent on a washer that is absolutely terrible, horrible, awful., no words can adequately express how bad this so-called washer is. The low-water washing has torn up all of my new towels in the matter of a couple of washes. It has completely ripped out the hems of the towels and pulled long ragged strings in the towel. And these were not cheap towels. I am mad at myself for not researching better before buying. I hope my complaint can save another consumer from the misery I am suffering because of this shameful product.

I am very upset with this company. I bought my fridge two months ago from Sears. The fridge is leaking water and Im having a lot of problems with the freezer and the ice maker isnt working at all. Ive been trying to reach the company but they always leave me hanging in the phone and never answer and keep hanging up. I am very upset with this company. I wasted a lot of money for nothing. Please people dont buy fridges from Whirlpool and dont waste your money.

We purchased a KitchenAid KFIS29PBMS00 in August of 2013. By March of 2014 it had stopped freezing and producing ice. Sent out a technician (mind you each technician has to come twice, once to diagnose and then to repair). They determined that all of the panels and ice maker needed replaced. Did so with no resolution. Placed another call. This technician determined that the compressor was bad. Installed a new one on April 10th. The fridge worked for 30 days. Stopped freezing and producing ice. Placed the 3rd service call. Was told that the new compressor was bad. Technician showed up on June 5th to replace it but did not have one with him. He was told by Whirlpool that they had discovered a wiring problem and that if the Serial number begins with K322 -K335 yours is one of them. We are K324. He ran a serious tests and contacted Whirlpool. I was told it is not in Whirpools hands. LUCKY ME NOT. It is now June 19th, I have made 2 additional calls to KitchenAid after not hearing anything back was told that I was in the process of receiving a new fridge and that I would get a phone call. After nothing I called back again. After 47 minutes I was transferred to a Supervisor. According to her while we were on the phone, she ordered a new refrigerator. No upgrade, compensation or a care in the world for the consumer. I will NEVER purchase a Whirlpool appliance again. I expect to have to call back again.
