The control panel is difficult to use. It’s much too easy to switch power from the top oven to the bottom oven without knowing it. In addition, the plastic cover over the control panel makes it difficult to use especially if your fingers have flour or oil on them. It would be much easier and more accurate if knobs were used to control the all the functions instead of a electronic screen. Also, the clock has never operated accurately. Always runs fast. Temperature of the ovens is pretty accurate. However, it does take a long time to reach chosen temperature. Both ovens are large and able to handle an 18 inch round pizza dish. Other than the control panel, I’m pleased with both the gas stove top and both electric ovens.

When I first got my energy eff washer it would not fill up with water. Only about 7 inches or so. Then I read that is you wet some clothes first it goes on wait before it starts. Works excellent with the agitator. Have done clothes without detergent and everything comes out clean. My beef is there is no lint trap so rely on the dryer to get rid of it.

I cannot adequately express my dissatisfaction with the Cabrio washer and dryer that I purchased couple years ago. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. That includes Maytag; Kenmore; or Amana products. I have had nothing but problems from the start. The washer sounds like jet engine taking off in the spin cycle. I found out the washer needs new tub bearings ~ $200. The washer is tearing up towels during the wash cycle not sure what the cause is.My washer will only wash clothes in certain cycles (bulk). I keep getting error codes in normal or other cycles. The washer takes long time to fill so it times out during fill cycle. I replaced fill lines and checked for blockage, everything was clear. The washer probably needs either new motherboard or water inlet valve. Not sure which, maybe both? It is impossible to wash a load of clothes without getting the UL unbalanced load indicator. I also have problems balancing the load. I have taken wet clothes out and put them back in with no luck. It takes hours for a load to finally wash.The dryer has had its problems. I just replaced the belt tensioner on the dryer because it was making a terrible screeching sound. The noise was very annoying. I am very disappointed with quality of Whirlpool products. However, don’t worry about improving customer relations because I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. P. S. How come you have not issued product recall? There are 1,000s of similar complaints concerning the Cabrio washer. Frustrated customer.

Whirlpool Duet washer and dryers extremely silent and energy efficient. However the wash time can be reduced, it typically takes 40 mins for a full load to wash. The dryer filter lining is fragile and breaks quickly.

We purchased a new home 6 weeks ago that was furnished with new Whirlpool appliances. The stove worked great however the oven never worked at any time. The appliance sales person advised that we had to go through Whirlpool for repair on a brand new appliance. To date we have had to stay home 2 days and the range is still not working and third service call is now scheduled. A call to Whirlpool ended with them advising that we do not qualify for a replacement range, even though it never worked. We have been without an oven for 6 weeks now which is totally unacceptable. I would never buy another Whirlpool product or recommend them based on this current experience. We paid for a new product that never worked and they will not replace it. Hopefully they can repair it on the third visit. Unfortunately I have lost faith in this product and this company.

This is the noisiest refrigerator I have owned. The compressor is so noisy I have to turn the TV up to hear over the fridge in the kitchen. The compressor runs almost constantly, they say thats to make it more efficient. I have called whirlpool and all they say is that it is normal. This unit replace a older Whirlpool fridge that you had to put your ear against to hear it running. It is now on our porch for cold drinks. This will be the last whirlpool product I purchase.

My experience was terrible. We purchased a side by side refrigerator on June 27, 2011 and it stopped working in December, 2011. We reported this onDecember 19, 2011. A repairman was sent out a few days later, who could not solve the problem because a piece had to be ordered. The piece was ordered and the repairman came to install the part on December 28, 2011.The refrigerator is still not working at all. We have been without ice for this period of time, not to mention the inconvenience of non-refrigeration of food. I pleaded for them to pick up the refrigerator and give me even a partial refund. I was told that three repairs had to be done before they would even consider picking up the refrigerator. I am not a person who complains, but this was ridiculous. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

We purchased a Whirlpool stove a year and half ago. We were cooking and kept hearing (tick, tick, tick) noises. Couldnt figure out what it was. After removing the pot there was an area of 2x4 inches that had melted in. Not sure where the glass went. But it looked like a chip but on the surface.

We bought this dishwasher because it was rated on the quieter side... It was purchased in 1999 and is still operating like new. I am amazed it has never broken down. I have wanted to replace it but my wife says Why?

We purchased this Kitchen Aid stove December 7, 2016. I dont use the oven much, but have found that when it gets a little dirty and I use the Aqua Life function, it does not clean. Have tried by setting a pan of water in the bottom and raising the temperature to 300 degrees, but nothing cleans. We went with this feature to be more environmentally responsible. Leons, where we purchased the stove, claims that they have heard nothing of this issue and have not been informed of this by their head office.

When my wife and I were planning our retirement, we made a to-do list before we officially stopped working. We are loyal Whirlpool users and over the next 3 years we purchased 4 major Whirlpool appliances in preparation of having 8-12 years of problem-free time as we go from a two-income working family to two people on fixed incomes. I retired in December of 2011 and unfortunately this did not pan out on 2 of the 4 appliances. The washing machine, in late February 2012, blew a transmission 23 months after purchase and 11 months after the warranty expired. Discussions with Whirlpool by phone were unsuccessful in getting the repair covered.Ultimately, this repair cost us $265.00. In late April, 9 months after the warranty expired, the refrigerator iced up and had to be manually defrosted, despite being equipped with ADS. My family and I did the defrosting because it was a weekend and tech support was not available. On Monday, the refrigerator was functioning, so I was told to run it and see what happens and call the tech if it happens again. I had done research online and found many folks were having trouble with this refrigerator model and the main problem was the control board”, a board that is used in many Whirlpool refrigerators. I ordered one after the initial problem and waited for it to ice up again. On Sunday, May 20, it repeated the same symptoms displayed and I put the board in myself and it solved the problem. This computer board cost me $95.81.I contacted Whirlpool about the two premature, post-warranty expiration issues in hopes of getting some reimbursement for the repairs. The Whirlpool rep told me that because there had not been a recall on either appliance, they could not reimburse me. They instead offered me a 6-month extension on the dishwasher I bought last July. I have been on several complaint websites and have seen the refrigerator control board repeatedly mentioned - all within the approximate 2-year timeline as my control board failed. My refrigerator was a GB9FHDXWQ01 model, but the control board is used in many of their refrigerators. If this has happened to you, please contact me at ** and, hopefully, together we can get enough data to get a recall and get proper treatment from Whirlpool. The Whirlpool refrigerator I ordered from Home Depot came to my house dented. I then had to get Maytag/Whirpool to send me the same model refrigerator which they then subsequently forgot to include the ice maker with the refrigerator. It has been nothing short of an act of Congress to get in touch with someone from their Customer Service department for them to send the ice maker that they forgot to include. Ive had to call them at least 15 times to get them to resend the missing ice maker. Absolute nightmare. 10/10 will avoid buying Whirlpool in the future.

We bought a Whirlpool model GC5SHAXVY01 side by side. The ice maker had problems within the first month, and they continued until the following year. Finally, the ice maker was deemed irreparable. Whirlpool worked with us, and we got a replacement for $600.00. The replacement had been in our home 3 months, when we realized it was leaking water. The guest room behind the fridge, had water soaked carpet, and molds growing on the baseboard. The hardwood under the fridge had been water soaked, and could not be dried by professional machines running 24 hours a day for 4 days. Oh the noise! The guest room carpet was pulled out with the baseboard immediately, and today, they are ripping out the hardwood affected in the kitchen. We called the CEOs office at Whirlpool to tell them. The answer was talk to our legal department.We are very angry. This has been very disruptive and upsetting. The floor is black under the hardwood. We are now awaiting the drying machines to come in for 3 days, and waiting to learn about what appears to be black mold. Be careful, and good luck if you buy from Whirlpool.

I myself cannot believe this. We remodeled kitchen in 1992. Gradually we had to replace the appliances except Whirlpool dishwasher. It still works okay. Only sometimes the detergent tablet does not dissolve. Anyway after 21 years, we are replacing it with another WP dishwasher.

As described in many similar instances found on numerous complaint boards (including this one), Whirlpool has defective over the range microwave convection ovens (model # GMH6185XVS) with faulty magnatrons. I have had the exact same experience with a new product failing at 16 months (the first time) and within 6 months failing again. Whirlpool is not concerned about their consumers, only their money. They are more than happy to sell an extended warranty, but are not willing to work with customers that have lemon products.I tried working with Whirlpool customer support with little assistance other than to offer to sell me a $250 extended warranty. I additionally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau concerning Whirlpool to include over 10 pages in documentation with numerous people reporting this same complaint. Whirlpool is still not willing to acknowledge they have faulty or defective components in their product and so generously offered to pay for the replacement component (only - not the service to repair it).I spent $600 on this unit new, $163 to repair it the first time (at 16 months old) and no doubt it will cost me an additional $163 to repair it again (not even 6 months after the first repair). I am not willing to continue to throw good money after bad on a defective unit. For the cost of the repairs and their extended warranty, it is cheaper to buy a new unit from a different manufacturer.It is clear from this site (in addition to numerous others) that Whirlpool has a definite quality problem - both in products and service!

We bought the Cabrio washer and dryer on June 2008, and it wasnt very long after that, that we had to have a repair done. Then, it started twisting the clothes and the sheets into a big knot. Two king size sheets and 2 pillow cases got so twisted that they are no bigger than a watermelon, and believe me, they are very hard to untangle when they are soaking wet. The machine in the drying cycle sounds like a commercial jet taking off. We can hardly talk above the roar of that thing. I hate it with a passion. Whirlpool used to be all we bought, but that is going to change.Linda

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer combo. Recently, I have learned that the washer has a very common problem with the water pump. I have read amazing amount of complaints about this problem and apparently the company has nothing to say about this. The cost for parts and labor for replacing this pump is about $400.00, almost half the cost of the unit. This is unreal!

Bought a brand new 40 gal water heater from Lowes. Installed it and it worked fine. Next day no hot water... After doing all the tests with tech support. This smart mouthed CSR explained to me how her uncle is a master plumber and she knows what shes talking about. Still couldnt tell me what was causing it to not work. Other than the reset being tripped. I have had good luck with Whirlpool products. But customer service has always been poor.

Just bought what I thought was going to be a great dishwasher. It had all the features I wanted. But, I discovered that none of my silverware would fit in the slots provided in the silverware basket. It is a disaster. The slots are so tiny that most of them are unusable. I called Whirlpool thinking that surely there was another basket I could substitute, but no, there isnt. Everyone was very polite, but the end result is that the Ill be handwashing most of our silverware. Unless your silverware has very narrow handles, forget this machine. Obviously designed by someone who has never loaded a dishwasher!

Purchased Duet Washer and Dryer just over a year ago. Recently liquid detergent has been seeping into the tumbler and damaging clothes if theyre not removed immediately after wash in complete. The precision dispenser cartridge is the culprit in my opinion. Its suppose to dispense detergent as needed however it doesnt stop dispensing. Called Whirlpool and received no satisfaction. I would not recommend the Duet washer as a new purchase. I have to pay the price for Whirlpools experimental dispensing device and I dont think its fair. Its a flawed device and they should fix it.

We purchased this combo from Lowes; checked my account and saw we were double charged! Got the charge adjusted; jeez. Bought this size to do comforters and large loads, but nothing large gets completely wet. Our clothes started to mildew as Affresh does not work. Im allergic to mildew and got headaches. The mechanic said this mildew is because all the action is under the basin and you dont want to see how black it is under there. It began to leak as buildup went into the bleach dispenser, and it turned black.He said to run a gallon of white vinegar in the clean cycle once a month, and this did work. I did a clean out with Castile peppermint soap, several white vinegar treatments, and got rid of the mildew and the (clog related) leak. I now use Mollys Suds powder. I was shocked to read on the Mollys site that mfg does not have to list all the terrible ingredients in commercial detergent, which is not helping you or the machine.

We will never, I repeat, never buy another Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid or Maytag (other than the Maytag dishwasher) product again. After just two years on the Cabrio washing machine, the bearing on the wash tub began to go out. As it was out of warranty, the cost to fix was greater than just buying a new machine. This was a known problem and Whirlpool failed to remedy the problem. Based on this experience, we went with an LG as a replacement. Before you buy anything, research it.

This refrigerator (French Door Refrigerator Model: WRF757SDEM) has been problematic since day one. The ice dispenser sends crushed ice all over the kitchen floor. The temperature in the upper 3/4 of the storage area and on the door is 57 degrees (it should be between 36 and 40 degrees). The item was purchased at Best Buy on October, 2016. It is still under warranty. I have had several visits by repair people and so far no fix. My friends call it a crockerator, since you can freeze food in the freezer and slowly cook food in the refrigerator section. I tried twice to get Whirlpool to pick up this thing, but so far no go. DO NOT EVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR! They used to make good products, but no longer do.

After reading multiple other reviews on all brands available to American citizens, I have come to the realization that cheap labor and materials are creating massive appliance garbage in our country as well as financial rip off for us all. It needs to STOP! What has happened to doing things right!! What company is going to be the first to produce good refrigerators! Paid over $2000 for my side by side and it is only 5 years old and has a freon leak that cant be fixed. Repairman said will have to buy a new refrigerator. Pathetic!! Cheap manufacturing in foreign countries is killing our economy and our household finances. Be prepared to buy NOTHING that works! Yeah, thats what I work hard for and look forward to. Americans better wake up.

We came home from work and all was well. About an hour later, there was a strong burning smell in the kitchen, like wires burning. Sourced it to our refrigerator. Brought our grandson upstairs to the second floor apartment to get him away from the smell and possible smoke and/or fire. This unit has been repaired several times but not recently. After reading all the same reviews on this problem, we are definitely concerned that a fire may arise. Unfortunately we may wind up buying another, very expensive, refrigerator in the very near future but it will definitely not be a Whirlpool. I wish I could give Whirlpool a ZERO star because that is even too good for this company.

Whirlpool Cabrio - I have had the same experience as those others that have written reviews - over $1,600.00 (on sale) - approximately 3 years old and I was just informed by a service repairman that water has leaked from the center of the tub into the motor and it is trashed. I went to the Whirlpool website to chat with a representative and they are sorry but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be no repairs or parts replacements needed as components do deteriorate or fail on occasion due to factors over which we have no control - they went on to say that since the washer is approximately 3 years old there would be no assistance that we would be able to provide toward repairs. I agree that a class action suit should be considered since Whirlpool is taking no responsibility for a machine that costs too much - makes your clothes smell and lasts for such a short time. Highway robbery!! The dryer is no better but at least it is still working (today anyway!).

On October 25, 2014, I lost my home, all of my belongings, and nearly lost my wife when my Whirlpool range model xfe371lvbo shorted out and caught fire. After spending thousands of dollars for an independent investigation to be conducted on the stove, it was determined that the control panel on the console shorted out, causing the fire. Since then, I havent had any response back from Whirlpool. I am in the process of meeting the required criteria for filing a claim, but have some questions, and everyone seems to be ignoring me. The pilot of my Whirlpool hot water heater (model FG1H5040T3NOV) suddenly went out and I called in a plumber to check it out. He managed to restart the pilot and we had hot water again, but it went out again within 12 hours. He mentioned that I would most likely need a part called a thermo coupling and I should start looking for it. Well, I found this site and read one of the positive reviews that provided the WP toll free number, so I called. Talk about great customer service! Ben was amazing – he took down all my info and was very helpful. Even though the warranty expired years ago, he overnighted me the replacement parts I needed at no charge. And there’s no charge for shipping either! My plumber is completely anti-Whirlpool HWHs and now he will change his mind when I tell him how efficient they are. I also hope he doesnt charge me a bundle to install the replacement part.

2012 1st year water dispenser stuck, would not stop pouring water until I shut water valve off behind refrigerator. Replaced switch under warranty. 1st year bottom mount freezer stopped working, replaced condenser under warranty. Handle coming off freezer door not replaced. Today Nov 5th past warranty date Oct. 21st 2012. There is ice buildup in bottom of freezer due to a duckbill valve that I just found out about... This is junk and I already replaced the washing machine. Now I am going to replace this fridge if I have to have money to fix this out of pocket. Dont buy whirlpool and i think they make the same thing under other brands like Kitchenaid. My fridge was registered with whirlpool and no one contacted me from whirlpool about the problem they were aware of, to tell me that the valve is free and labor was free for first two years. Now only part is free. What a rip off. My appliances were part of the purchase price of a new home from a developer.

Bought the Cabrio washer in March 2011. Have had the same problems as everyone else. The machine is constantly off-kilter, does not wash well due to lack of water. Sounds like a freight train when spinning. Bulky clothes dont drain properly and have to be rinsed and drained a second time. After one year of ownership, the entire control panel had to be replaced. The next year, the same control panel had to be replaced again plus a water valve had to be replaced. Thank God I bought the extended warranty. The repairs would have cost me $1000, more than I paid for the washer in 2011. Total piece of junk. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!

Worst company for home appliance... I got my fridge repaired from an authorized service person and next day it again stopped functioning. Upon calling the service center again, they said that few more things needs to be repaired once again and for that fridge needs to be moved to their workshop and for that they will be charging 1600 Rs again. Upon asking for the refund for the useless spare part, the rude service person said ek din k liye to chale tha na fridge, fir kis baat ka refund... Such a ** company is Whirlpool that they are not entertaining any complaint on their all India customer care number...

I purchased my Cabrio Whirlpool washer five years ago. In the past two months I have had three service calls for repairs. I had water leaking out from underneath the machine which was the result of a failed drum seal. Now I get a ul message (there was one blouse being washed on delicate) and the washer is making a terrible banging sound. I dont think it is spinning. I have not been happy with this washer. My previous washer was 30 years old.

We bought the Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot. The ice maker does not work. We get 2 cups of ice a day. Home Depot Told us we should get 8 to 10 pounds of ice a day. We call a repair service and they said we should get 2 pounds of ice a day. Still getting 2 cups a day. Call again and now they said we should get 64 cube of ice a day. So now Home Depot has us calling Whirlpool instead of them. Now we will have another repair company coming out. Waiting to see what they have to say.Very disappointed with Whirlpool for not backing their refrigerator. And don’t buy from Home Depot. You can’t return if you buy it. And I have a warranty on it and they have a lemon law 3 repair calls for the same thing and they will take it back. Not true. I will be calling once a week for 5 years until they get me some ice. They don’t deserve a 1 star.

Purchased a Cabrio large capacity washer. It NEVER seemed to get the clothes clean enough, and after the sensors and bearings went bad within three years (out of warranty of course) I gladly kicked it to the curb. I bought a Samsung that has been great. Id like to support USA made, but not when it is AWFUL.

Purchased Whirlpool side by side French door with bottom freeze on 2-18-13. After several repair calls it was replaced with new one on 7-09-13. Problems began almost immediately with water dripping inside door, resting of doors, and finally the freezer stopped working and the appliance would not shut off. Pm 3-14-15 a new compressor was installed. Two months later, the same issues are occurring. Freezer not working, and not shutting off. Waiting for a resolution. Would never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

I just purchased a top load wtw5000dw01. There have not been any changes to this revised model except the lid only locks in the rinse/spin cycle now. If that even helps anybody. It still has the noisy agitator which is the thing I hate most. Whirlpool engineers better go back to the drawing board and redesign their washers. Whats this country come to when you spend a pile of money on something that sounds like it is broken from brand new. I also had a washer that was 15 years old and never had noise issues or problems with it. Its just not Whirlpool that uses this so called new technology.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer - Its been a month now and still the washer is not fixed. The repairman through Lowes warranty service is the worst by far I have ever dealt with. I had new transmission put on, still wont agitate and smells hot. The washer is only 18 months old, well taken care of. This expensive hunk of junk is worthless and the aggravation for all this mess is worse. I called Whirlpool 2 times. The first time, I got a call with the standard oh so sorry bit. Oh boy, that gets the washer fixed. Not. I blasted them and Lowes again. I have had it with this mess. The repairman is supposed to contact Lowes a week ago for replacement. He has done zero. I called Lowes to check. How can they sell this junk to customers who pay for this washer? They know it is junk, Lowes and Whirlpool, so do the right thing and recall the junker for refunds to consumers.

Bought fridge in 2010, I am about to replace the icemaker for the 2nd time at a cost of over $300 each time by a Whirlpool authorized repair tech. No kids in the house and very limited use of icemaker. Motor keeps burning out because of the design flaw per the tech. Very poor design for a $1,500 fridge. Due to these issues I do not intend on purchasing Whirlpool products in the future.

I purchased a whirlpool duet washer & dryer several years ago. In the 3rd yr or so, the dryer kept shutting off with beeps prior to clothes dried or cycle completion. Whirlpool gave me an option for an extended warranty given that the orig one had long ended. I purchased it - a one year warranty. In that year I have had technicians to my house 6-7 times to diagnose or swap parts. They eventually swapped all 3 boards on the dryer. It still shuts down before clothes are dry. Whirlpool tells me that they outsource this service and take no responsibility for either their lemon of a machine nor their lemon service company; Alliance Repair. I would like the money back for the extended warranty so that I could buy a new dryer and all I get is a runaround from both the service company and whirlpool. I will never buy whirlpool again and advise anyone out there to also not buy their machines.

I purchased a washer and dryer stackable about 6 months ago. It is suppose to have warranty but when calling the first time to Whirlpool their system was down and the girl was rude and hung up. Today I called and the only time they can offer is work days Monday-Friday 8-5. However, I live in Texas and work an hour and half away from where I live. I have just been transferred here so limited people known. So in order to get my dryer not even 6 months old fixed I have to accommodate the hours available and miss work. The dryer just stopped heating and stuck on the sensing wet cycle. I am a single parent of a disabled son, so with this said a days work is bills not getting paid. I find this unacceptable for a company as well known and one of the best not able to accommodate someones work hours for pretty much a lemon. It was a brand new dryer and washer.

I bought a house and for the first time in my life, I was able to afford and buy all new Whirlpool appliances at Sears. I worked so hard all my life and was so happy I could get new appliances when I was almost 50 years old. Up until then, I could only afford to get used appliances. Even then I had to finance them with a credit card, only to be so sad and disappointed. They are without a doubt the ** junk I have ever had. I wish I could have all my old appliances back. My new Whirlpool flat top oven burns everything and has ruined all my pots and pans. I do canning every year and it has ruined my very old and heavy pressure cookers. Even when you turn the heat all the way to low, it burns everything. I called the manufacturer and they say they do not have to disclose that it will ruin your pressure cookers or burn everything. I am very angry I bought any Whirlpool appliances. I also got a new washer and dryer; they are junk too. They dont clean my clothes like my old washer and everything is so wrinkled up when it comes out of the dryer. I need to iron everything. I have never seen anything like it. I also bought a Whirlpool hot water tank that has now gone out 2 times in 5 years because the thermostat burns out. I pray it doesnt burn my house down one of these days. One of the times it went out, I was about 10 feet away from it and it literally blew up and about gave me a heart attack. It was so loud and scared the bejezzers out of me. Whirlpool, you suck. I have told everyone I can tell how much junk your appliances are. Your company should have to be accountable for selling people such **! I would sure like to be paid not only for the cost of these junky appliances but also all my quality pressure cookers, ruined clothes and distress this has caused me. They have no consequences. They have gotten away with ripping people off and giving a lot of us tons of stress, stress, stress, and anxiety, not to mention all the financial cost. Thanks, Whirlpool, you piece of junk! I think if I had not worked so hard to finally get what I thought at the time were high quality new appliances, I wouldnt be so affected but I dont have the money now to get new quality appliances. My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator, model number GI6SARXXF04, serial number K20311478 on February 3, 2012. It was delivered soon after. In April of 2012 our ice maker quit working. We called The Appliance Doctor for service. They reset the control, and left saying that they thought it was fixed. The ice maker as a result was not fixed. They came out again, and stated that the ice maker needed to be replaced altogether. So they ordered the part and we waited for two weeks for it to arrive and be installed. By this time it was April 23, 2012.Then in June of 2013 we began having water pool in the bottom of the refrigerator and freeze, and water began to leak onto our hardwood floors causing them to buckle. We cleaned it up for a while thinking perhaps something had spilled, and busted up the ice on our own. The beginning of 2014 we called for service from Lanny Adams Appliance. The technician worked on it and stated that something was plugged up in the water line and he thought it was fixed, we paid for this service on our own. On August 14, 2014 we had another technician come out because it was not fixed. The technician came out and stated that it would cost another $219.95. He further stated that he thought that there was a recall of some kind, that I should look into it. I did look into it and printed out the Technical Service Pointer that was produced in November of 2013. When I called Whirlpool at that point, someone was sent to fix it. Of course I had already paid to have it repaired in February of 2014, Whirlpool stated that it was not their responsibility, which again it was not fixed until August of 2014. As a further note, my floors were never fixed because I have hardwood floors throughout my house and simply cannot fix the area in front of the refrigerator. My floor had just been refinished, and after speaking with the floor company that had just refinished my floors a few months earlier, they stated all of the floors would have to be redone or it would not match. Figuring Whirlpool is definitely not going to pay for that, I have just dealt with it, since it cost me over $3000.00 to have the floors refinished.Now, it is February of 2015 and the whole refrigerator is not cooling, and the freezer is not freezing. Again, I woke up to water in the floor on my hardwood floors, and have had to move all of my food to my ten year old Frigidaire refrigerator that is in my basement and has NEVER had a service call. After speaking with service company, they state it will cost $1200.00 to fix the refrigerator....REALLY? So, now I get to go spend a lot more money for a new appliance. You can bet it WILL NOT be a Whirlpool!I contacted Whirlpool again, and I spoke with Robin in your Customer Service Department after speaking with one of your Customer Service Representatives that stated I was basically on my own with the repairs. Robin stated that there was nothing Whirlpool would do, but she would agree to pay for parts and I will be left with the repair labor. Although your company may think that this is good customer service, I have to disagree given the fact that I have had nothing but consistent problems with the refrigerator since I bought it. At this point, I would like to ask you if in your opinion this is a good appliance? I asked Robin and she stated that I needed to buy an extended warranty. Dont you realize it isnt about the warranty? It is about the fact that I have had the appliance for 3 years and have had consistent problems. I believe the refrigerator is a lemon, and I would like it replaced.I have always trusted the Whirlpool name, but at this point, I do not see myself buying another Whirlpool appliance.

I will never buy another Whirlpool again or recommend them to anyone, and discourage anyone from buying one. I bought a Cabrio washing machine just over 2 years ago and yesterday I received an F51 error code. The manual says that this code requires a technician to come a check for repairs. Well, before I do anything I google the problem, and lo and behold there are thousands of complaints about this issue with the Cabrio models. Some saying that what needed to be replaced were a control board ($280) and a rotor (unknown amount), not including the price of labor. Some said that Whirlpool knows about this problem and they covered the parts and repair. This didnt get my hopes up, but I called customer service and of course they said that there were no reported issues with the model and that what I found on the internet was probably an older model. Of course! The lady on the phone told me that they would not cover the costs and it would be anywhere from $300 to $500 depending on the route I wanted to take. That is a 1/3 to 1/2 the price I paid for the machine. This is ridiculous! I am tempted to just get rid of the washer and go with a better company that actually cares about their customers. This error code was definitely something they know is a big deal if there was nothing I could do about it other than call a technician. I paid almost $1000 for a machine that has barely lasted 2 years before I have to pay money to have it fixed. Not a company I would ever purchase anything from again!

Thirty minutes into running the oven self cleaning cycle for the first time, the middle pane of glass exploded! Weve had this range two years 4 months, and didnt buy the extended warranty. I contacted Whirlpool and they acted like this was the first theyve heard of this. I inquired on the class action law suit in New York from 2012, the year we bought ours, and they had no comment. They were willing to sell us an extended one year warranty and we pay for the service call for only $332! I declined and will never buy a Whirlpool product again.

I love that as soon as Im done cooking. I can lift my grate with oven Mitt, clean the gas cooktop before food becomes caked on. My stove looks as good today as day I bought. The third rack was great for holidays.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer Model WTW6500WW1 Ser C02670098 Type 580 is the worst appliance I have ever had. All the bad comments from people are all true! The washer leaves clothes wet. I get F1 error code or it just locks up and I have to unplug it and plug in again, twists clothes up and doesnt get clothes clean. I have always bought Whirlpool appliances because they were good but this washer has changed my mind about Whirlpool.

We have had this dishwasher since 1983 and we still run it on an average of 6 days a week. Features are the fact that it has given all of our dishes, our silverware, our pots and pans sparkling clean looks for all those years. It fits nicely into the kitchen space which was designed for a dishwasher. It never needed a repair. After all those years, this machine still looks fine. After all those years I really doubt if it still has a warranty and it never needed service.

Whirlpool is an awesome fridge. There was plenty of room for everything. I loved the freezer part too. I would love to have another one because mine was in a fire in 2015. You will like Whirlpool.

In 2011 we bought a Whirlpool Washer (WTW4950XW). We had a one year warranty. There have been problems ever since we bought it. Of course it is no longer under warranty. In the last few months we have encountered brown spots on clothing. The washer has always spent an inordinate amount of time Scanning. It does not matter how much I readjust the load. I ALWAYS must do an extra Spin and Drain. Sometimes Rinse and Drain helps...sometimes not. Sometimes the machine indicates it MIGHT be finished washing but only the clothing on the bottom of the load is damp. It does not rinse the soap out. Recently when I washed my husbands coat several times -- he had to finally hang it in the shower when he bathed to get the soap out.We had repairmen out once when we had the warranty. They said the drainage hose was wrong. We adjusted that. I called Whirlpool more than once about our problems. They said they could not help because we had no warranty. OK. One young lady said we could get a 5 year warranty for $353. For $499 we might get a machine without all the 747 dials and tweets and fewer government, EPA amenities. Whats wrong with this picture? My old washer lasted 30 years. We are very, very sorry we did not repair it. All I want is a washer that will provide me with clean clothing, towels, sheets and blankets in a timely manner. That does not seem to me to be too much to expect. I am considering a washboard! Or the shower for ALL my laundry! I am angry and frustrated. I always considered Whirlpool a good brand.

The interior features such as turntable, etc are very cheaply made. As is the case with most Whirlpool appliances, this one is way over engineered to focus on appearance and gadgetry. This is not a good microwave for a serious cook who prefers that the design focus on functionality and ease of operation.

Whirlpool Gold appliances are junk!!! Our dishwasher just stopped working one day. It was about 2 years old. We tried all the troubleshooting ideas we found on the internet. Nothing worked. I had a 13 Year old working dishwasher when I bought this one. Sure wish I had left well enough alone. I think there should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I had also purchased a new electric range... It is constantly giving me an error message when I try to use the oven. We have to flip the breaker and that sometimes helps. I bought 4 of the Gold appliances... I’m holding my breath on the other 2. I thought I had done a good job researching before I bought. I remodeled my kitchen. It turns out that a company that I believed was reputable and worthy of my business are not.

Well, I read most of the complaints with the failures in the machine. I guess most of them didnt last long enough to rate their performance so here we go. I bought a Cabrio top loader, high-E washer a couple of years ago. This one had a different kind of agitator - it was just a couple of inches or so off the bottom. I specifically bought this to wash comforters and it seemed like it was good for that (rousing agreement from the salesperson). So after a couple of years of working with it, here are my observations:Pros: There are absolutely none!Cons: Okay, other than not having control over the settings (cannot override any of the preprogrammed wash settings), it simply doesnt get loads clean (yes, I use expensive HE detergent). Except for the bulky setting, there is never enough water to wash and rinse the loads properly. Next, it makes a mess of the clothes. At the end of the cycle, and this is true no matter what I wash or how large or small the load is or which cycle I pick - even light and slow spin, it just makes a tangled mess of the load. Stuff gets stuck inside of other stuff, wrapped around other stuff or are balled up. Never have I seen this type of issue. I constantly get the unbalanced load notice and have to manually redistribute the clothes most of the time.To address the too little water level, there are two options. I have discovered that the bulky setting has the highest water level, so I use that most of the time. From time to time (when I need different water temps or just want more water), I have developed a work-around by putting a Y adapter on the hot water inlet and a short hose. Once the washer starts the wash cycle, I stop it and add a bit of hot water to bring the level up enough to do a decent wash job - same for the rinse cycle. So much for Whirlpools water efficiency.Next, the hot isnt hot. Its barely lukewarm. So I turn the cold down to a trickle and I get a bit hotter water. It takes forever to rinse though. Its a good thing Im semi-retired. Next is the inflexible cycle/water selector. I have never had a washer I couldnt override to tell it what to do in unusual circumstances. Boy, what rocket scientist at Whirlpool dreamed that up!But above all, this just doesnt get loads clean. I have experimented with all the variables, load size, cycle selection, detergents, etc. Most of the time, I have to do two cycles with my loads and these are not unusual or extremely dirty loads. They are just normal, everyday laundry for an adult couple. Really, Whirlpool! Who was the conceptual designer on this? Thank goodness they werent working on the space shuttle or some disease research.Bottom line, I am so soured on the design and performance of this product that I will never buy another Whirlpool product, either brand name or generic (Sears). I just cant understand how a company would let something like this out the door.

I purchased Whirlpool front load washing machine (Sport 1072 CB) in March 2013 and since then it has been my worst nightmare. Buying a Whirlpool washing machine was one of the worst decisions I took. The problems started to come from the first month itself. Many parts have changed and are still being done. I am continuously requesting them to replace the machine but they have decided not to listen. The after sale service of Whirlpool is the worst in the industry.

My Whirlpool refrigerator model #ED5FHEXV001, serial #HR0248 - I have spoken to a couple of reps on the phone. I am very dissatisfied because it was like one rep I spoke with on the telephone advised me to buy an extended warranty and at that time, the company would consider alternative ways to deal with this complaint and perhaps replace the refrigerator. I did not want to pay an additional $100 for a warranty, unless the company would guarantee me a solution, preferably my money back. I did not really believe the warranty would help me after the warranty was expired. I would still have the same problem and I feel that in the event after the extra warranty expired, the company would tell me I should have kept the coils clean, which is my complaint. There is no way to keep the coils clean. I guess blowing out the residue, then all that residue material would end up all in my house. Also, very important, there have been 3-4 technicians to my house the first year. I was told various things to do, such as adjust the refrigerator to a lower setting and freezer to a little higher setting. One tech actually replaced a part? The second tech said he would clean the coils. The last tech told me the problem was my coils had to stay clean. My question is, how the heck is that possible with the coils on the bottom of the fridge and susceptible to a lot of dust and dirt, unless I move my fridge everyday? Most people do not expect to have to clean under the fridge each day and the coils would still be dirty anyway. It is very dumb that the coils are not on the back of the fridge. With the fridge coils on the back, I have never experienced this problem. Please advise what my next step would be. Thank you.

I purchased a water heater in 2011 and have had the thermostat replaced at least 5 times! Now, not only does the heater not heat the water, but it has rusted through and ruined my floors! They say they will replace the thermostat (oh yeah, yet another one!) but what about the crappy thing in the closet. I will NEVER buy anything that says Whirlpool on it. They dont stand behind their product and have made no efforts to correct the issue. There has to be a lemon law clause that would be applicable in here somewhere.

This washing machine is terrible. It barely cleans my clothes and frequently gets off balance. I am now on my second repair call in less than 3 years. (I bought the unit in the summer of 2013. It is now the winter of 2016.) The last repair guy tried to blame me, suggesting that I was filling it too much and with heavy materials. Last night, I washed 5 or 6 doggie towels. Not even large, bath sized towels. And the whole thing just stopped. It wont spin and wont unlock. What a piece of crap.

I purchased a washer model# wtw560xw, serial# c04830040 on 1/11/11. This product has never properly washed clothes. I have had 3 technicians come out and press buttons on my machine. The most recent supervisor I spoke w is Niki id# **. She said that the machine washes but is not supposed to clean clothes. I am getting blown off and aggravated. I filed a complaint with BBB that went nowhere. Someone from the corporate office named Amanda called me and told me she would look into it and a week and a half later, not return my call. I had to track her down for her to tell me she can do nothing! The hold times are always extended. I have a pile of ruined clothes and a pile that I am attempting to hand wash. I am beyond frustrated and need a machine that will wash my clothes. I am not in the 1800s. I should not be hand washing when I paid hundreds of dollars for this useless machine. On 12/27/2013 I bought a Whirlpool hot water heater from Lowes Model NU50T122-403. On 12-13-2015 the pilot went out. When I called tech support on 12-14-2015 they gave number what were call centers or person who returned the calls. So I called a local plumber that I used before. He came out and told me that had to replace the pilot. On the 16th 2015 of Dec. that did not work and told us the heater needed to be replaced. The replacement will happen today I hope with little to no help from Whirlpool. I would advise you to do your homework before you buy a Whirlpool hot water heater.

Burners always needed replacing and now do not work anymore - Whirlpool range looks nice, but very expensive to maintain. The burners constantly needed replacing, they do not heat up. I got a repair technician to look at it. He replaced the parts that the burners hook into. Now they do not heat up at all. Well, one of four barely boils water. The oven still works, oh great. The thing is only 7 years old. I have had ovens that lasted 20+ years at my dads house or 15 years at another house I lived in. With all the negative comments and the repair guy who tried to fix it, I think it is time to get the kids Easy-Bake Ovens out of the storage or buy a new range. Obviously, it will not be a Whirlpool. So many negative comments people left, my useless top burners seem mild comparatively.

Whirlpool Corp. stands behind its products. Bought the Cabrio Washer in June 2011. Lid cracked in October 2012 and was not covered under the Lowes extended warranty because they called it a wear item. However, our local Lowes store in Avondale, PA replaced it for us. In December 2013, the lid cracked again. I called Whirlpool customer service and they couldnt do anything. I called the Whirlpool corporate headquarters and was directed to a member of their executive staff. After explaining my situation, Whirlpool agreed to send me a new door free of charge and even pay to have it installed (which I told them I can do myself). Aside from the cracking of two doors, this washer is an exceptional unit. Its good to see Whirlpool stands behind its products this way, outside of the warranty period. I would guess that they always hear a lot of whining and complaining, but it seems if you explain things logically, people listen and are willing to help.

I bought a Whirlpool gas stove (WFG745H0FS1) 2/1/18. The front control knobs (W11122880) position ink began rubbing off after a year. I sent them pics, their solution was to pay $45 each for new knobs.

The pilot light on our hot water heater will not stay lit. We cant find the custom made Replacement Kit at any local retail locations, including a specialty appliance repair store, Lowe’s or Home Depot. So our only option seems to be waiting for the part to come in the mail. Meanwhile, my two little girls have no hot water in their home! Not because we couldnt afford to pay the gas bill, but because of the piece of junk hot water heater that we purchased and the lousy company that stands behind it!

My two year old Whirlpool refrigerator died. The compressor went bad. $859 to replace it. I only paid $999 for the fridge. This was crazy. Two years old. Heard it was not uncommon and the technician said most refrigerators warranty the compressor for up to 5 years but not Whirlpool. Had to go buy a new refrigerator.

Have two Whirlpool refrigerators. Both perform well. Love the glass shelves, which make it easy to see whats inside and to keep clean. The newest one has the water dispenser inside and not in the door. Would probably not even consider another brand.

My 2-year-old Whirlpool Gold Series model replaces a 20-year-old Roper. So far it has exceeded expectations for low noise and useful features like validated Sani-Rinse. Has all the normal features plus Eco-Dry, Sani-Rinse, delayed start, five levels/cycles of cleaning, and hi-Temp wash. Fits where the old Roper used to be and handles a full load of dishes with room to spare except Thanksgiving, which takes two loads. Smooth black front with touch buttons and blue lights. Looks nice. Using Sani-Rinse seems to take a long time, generally around 3-hours for a full wash cycle. Besides being ultra-quiet, the unit is very energy efficient earning good Energy Efficiency and water efficiency ratings.

My contractor purchased a Whirlpool NU50T61-403 water heater at Lowes. After several months the gas valve stopped working. Whirlpool sent a replacement gas valve which stopped working after a month. When I complained they offered to send another replacement, which I declined. They also offered to have it repaired by 2 firms which were very poorly rated on Yelp. Whirlpool stubbornly refused any other remedy. As I needed to resolve this right away because tenants were depending on having hot water. I replaced it with another hot water heater. In summary I wasted $570 for 9 months of use.

We have had our washer just over a year when the plastic hose that fills the detergent tray began leaking. The entire assembly is plastic and poor quality. Whirlpool customer service says since it is after 1 year, that I would need to pay for the parts & service ($489). I would not recommend this machine or anything Whirlpool.

I bought a front loading Whirlpool washer a few years ago after having my old top loading Kenmore for 25 years. It seemed okay, but I did always have to leave the front door open and it always smelled musty, which was of some concern. My clothes never smell totally fresh. The biggest current problem is that several months ago it started with a failure code, alternately would stop without draining, wouldnt fill, or wouldnt drain, and ultimately ended up flooding my basement. So we called for service and they replaced a sensor and said these machines seem to have a lot of service issues with sensors blowing and motors dying. So I paid them that time. Now its a month or two later, failure code again, calling for service one more time. But if it costs too much I will join the legions of dissatisfied Whirlpool customers and will switch to an upright competitors brand.

Ive had my Whirlpool water heater for almost 4 years now and for the last year and a half, I had to have the pilot light lit at least 5 times. I finally got so frustrated around the 3 times and called the company. They gave me instructions on how to light it and to ensure no draft was around the tank. A couple of weeks ago, it went out again and I called. This time I was told to replace the thermocouple. I did that and guess what? Still no hot water. Im a single parent with 2 kids and weve been boiling water just to bath.A service tech came out and told me I need to replace the tank altogether. I called Whirlpool service and they told me it was nothing they can do. Like many of you, I got this tank from Lowes and they will not do anything about it either. Its hurtful and stressful that doing a holiday season, I have to decide to either buy a hot water tank or give my kids a good Christmas. I know several friends and family who has had their tanks a lot longer with no problem. My problem is its a crappy Whirlpool brand with poor customer service.

My Cabrio was built in April 2016, its now Feb 2019, and its not working. Shows error code of LF, the inlet water value is bad. I bought a Sears protection plan, repairman comes out, tells me no-one has the part anywhere, its backordered and no way to know when it will deliver. Sounds like a scam so Sears doesnt have to fix it and Whirlpool makes little to none of the part so you have to buy a new machine. This machine also takes forever to wash clothes, sometimes part of the clothes come out dry because not enough water. Its a huge tub, but of no use because theres not enough water to clean properly therefore, you have to do small loads. I always put it on high water because the other features like, quick wash & normal do not give but only little streams of water! The first one I had delivered made a funny noise from day one so Sears replaced it the next day. This one has NOT even lasted 3 yrs. There needs to be new legislation placed upon these companies with regards to the products they make. It should be illegal to make such junk and be able to charge high dollar for it and it doesnt operate well or last very long. They are laughing all the way to the bank on everyones dollar, intentionally making products that last less than a few years! I Will NOT purchase Whirlpool or any of their products again! They owe me a new Cabrio and Im going to make sure I get it and get my moneys worth! DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS JUNKER! DONT BE FOOLED BY ITS PRETTY SLEEK LOOK.

I bought a brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer set -Cabrio- $1700.00 in 2011. It is by far the worst washing machine I have ever purchased, and I am 60 years old!!! It is now three years old and has been repaired at least 4 times. Long story short... after hours & hours on the phone, along with many threats! (By the way I had to ask for a manager two times up the ladder for this to happen as they just kept repeating that it was out of warranty coverage). I also told them that I was going to have one of my company trucks deliver this machine to Sears lot, along with a paid person to inform every shopper of my plight with this washer and the lack of service from Sears and Whirlpool! Whirlpool finally agreed to pay for the parts but not the labor on this most current repair. (This time it is the transmission!! In the past it was the Hub, twice. The gear case twice and the belt a number of times). I am now going back to Sears to request (that might not be the correct word) Demand, that they take care of the service bill for this machine. In between repairs, I have dealt with ongoing cleaning quality problems. This machine does not get clothes clean. I always have to wash them twice. This machine is loud. This machine does not use enough water to even dissolve the soap. So much for energy saving measures when you have to wash twice and still see soap and crud in the tub. Worst, worst, ever washing machine in my life!! By the way, I have an 8 year old Maytag too that I have never had to repair. Moral of the story, buy Maytag, or at least do not buy a Cabrio!!!!

Please DO NOT purchase an appliance with Whirlpool. I have had my double oven WiFi for 7 months. It has worked great. They did a update on it and I have had an hour glass for 2 1/2 weeks but the crazy part was they sent me a part, had it expedited 2 day shipping on a Friday and I didn’t get till Thursday of the next week. Go figure. So they send a new part and guess what? It’s broken and my oven doesn’t work once again. The other part is they have to wait for the code on the error 3-5 days. One we are going on week 3 with no oven and at this point I call and tell them my husband can run to Lowe’s and take a control panel off a new stove and put it on or better yet something is wrong with this oven. I need another oven because at this point I’m extremely pissed. Please DO NOT buy any products with this company. They SUCK!!!! They should replace it and pay me for all the meals I have had to buy.

I live in Florida and in December 2012, purchased a Whirlpool upright freezer from my local Badcocks. About two months after the purchase it started making this weird loud sound. I contacted Whirlpool and they sent a local appliance company technician out to check it. The technician ripped my brand new Linoleum floor when pulling out the freezer. The result was, in his opinion, nothing was wrong with it, that the loud sound was normal. As it continued, another tech came out and his opinion was it needed a new compressor. So, it was replaced and lasted about a month. I was getting something out for dinner and noticed everything in my freezer was unthawed... all that money wasted a freezer full of food gone. So, Whirlpool once again sent the same appliance company out but a different technician. This one said it that he needed to order parts which he did, a different tech came out to install the parts and told us he didnt know what they were for and our freezer didnt need the parts the previous tech ordered. So this tech put dye in the lines and left. The dye leaked out from under my freezer all over the floor which is now stained because of the dye that leaked. This is the brand new floor they had already ripped during the first service call. So, now not only is my floor ripped but stained as well.Once again, about a month later, I find my freezer full of meat unthawed a third time. Once again I called and find out they have dropped the contract with the company that came out the first two times. So they refer me to another local appliance repair, and this new tech says that it needs a new compressor. This will be the second new one in less than 6 months. They order that part and repair the freezer; this fix lasted for about three months this time. On my fourth call to Whirlpool, I expressed my frustration with losing my food and the hassle of an inferior product purchased brand new under warranty. I definitely was not satisfied with the service and the customer service representative could not find my warranty record. He was also very rude and when he finally found my record, he told me I was no longer under Whirlpool warranty. This was wrong as I have my paperwork showing date of purchase AND the four-year extended warranty we purchased as well. I asked him what they would do for me since their inferior appliance and incompetent repair technicians cost me hundreds of dollars of ruined meat and other frozen food. He said they would do nothing except have another repair tech come out. Until the freezer is determined to be unrepairable that is all they can do.So I scheduled the tech to come out the fourth time and he found that some untrained tech had put oil in the line and the lines and compressor has to be replaced and flushed. I have already not had a freezer for a week waiting for tech to come out and now the parts are put on back order for another three weeks. The fourth repair tech called Whirlpool from my home, while I was standing there, and told them that it basically is beyond repair because of the price of parts and labor. He told Whirlpool it would be cheaper to replace the freezer but Whirlpool told the tech to replace the lines and compressor and flush everything out. So three weeks later, he comes back out on 10/13/2013 to make the repairs. I bought this freezer in December 2012 for $1200 and have been dealing with issues on and off since Feb. 2013 and now its 11/29/13 and once again my freezer has stopped working. I have lost all my food because Whirlpool sold me a defective appliance and would not make it right. I have asked them to replace it and they wouldnt. My husband and I have just purchased our second house and we were very excited about the remodel coming up in the kitchen. We were going to purchase stainless steel Whirlpool appliances, but after this company has treated me so badly, I will not buy anything with the Whirlpool name for our stove, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator.We probably would have spent about $3500 on appliances, but we will purchase a different brand and give our $3500 to a company that will treat me better as a customer .I used to have trust in this company because it is well known for quality products, but I dont trust them anymore. I will advise any of my loved ones and friends not to purchase any Whirlpool appliance because of the inferior quality and lack of interest in making this situation right. I tried for almost a year and gave them 5 opportunities to do the right thing and now Im done. They dont care about the customer and that is a shame because they have lost a valued customer. Im 70 years old and always bought Whirlpool washing machines. My last one I bought at Lowes and it is the most Ive ever paid for a washer and its the worst Ive ever owned! Dont waste your money! Hard to get clothes balanced and it slams and bams like the old 1970 washing machines! Horrible!!!

When I bought my new retirement home, a Whirlpool dishwasher Model No. DU1055XTVS1 had been installed. After only three years of use, the dishwasher would not complete a cycle except to drain and cancel. The repairman replaced a computer board and when the parts cost and the service cost were combined, they amounted to about half the cost of the dishwasher. I have a PC that is twice the age of the dishwasher and it is still running.

I currently rent, and so when our literally 30-yr. old GE dishwasher broke down, our landlords went out and installed us a new Whirlpool Dishwasher. I was excited because FINALLY I would have clean dishes and a dishwasher that didnt leak a bucket of water all over the floor. Well, weve had it for about 6-8 months now and I have to say that I am not impressed. It is not as great as I thought itd be. First of all, my dishes still look cloudy (despite using various brands - even homemade - detergent). Second, one out of every three washes gives me still-dirty dishes (food still on them, even though I rinse before loading the dishes). Now, Im not talking about tough stuck-on, need a jack-hammer to remove food. Just normal food. Mostly it is oil, like if I had a plate that I had eaten French fries on and there was grease left behind that normal rinsing didnt remove. A new dishwasher SHOULD be able to clean that! Third, it guzzles Jet Dry liquid (or whatever rinse aid you use) like an alcoholic in a bar. I have used a BIG bottle in one month. One month. With the old 30 yr. old dishwasher, it took me around 2 YEARS to use a big bottle. And lastly, it takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R to wash a load. My old dishwasher took an hour tops - to rinse, wash, rinse, and dry - and it was 30 years old. This new Whirlpool takes 3 HOURS!!! I can literally hand-wash all of my dishes (and with a family of 4 thats a lot of dirty dishes in one day), sit them out to air dry, and take a nap and it take LESS TIME than using the dishwasher. The dishwasher has all the bells and whistles to make it look good, but trust me, if I could have had the 30-year old dishwasher rebuilt to newness, I would have begged my landlord to do that instead. Dont waste your money on Whirlpool appliances. I left another less than friendly review for my Whirlpool Cabrio washer (only 5 years old), if you care to see it. Learned my lesson, dont buy Whirlpool. So disappointed because they used to be (USED TO BE) a reputable dependable brand.

We purchased a Whirlpool Estate Range in 2008, with an extended warranty. We have only moved this range out 2 times since it was installed and the last time was over 2 years ago. This range worked beautifully, no issues whatsoever. Until... tonight, the oven & one burner were being used when suddenly the range started arcing, which blew a hole through the back panel on the stove where the cord hooks to it. It continued to arc and quickly fill the kitchen with black smoke until we could reach the breaker box. The Whirlpool repairman wants to charge $88 dollars just to tell us WHY it happened. After 2 years of sitting in the same spot, why? I dont want the stove repaired, I want it out of my house! I will not take the chance that this will happen again when we are not home. When asked if this was an issue with their product, the repairman answered, I have never heard of anything like this before. After reading these reviews: Such a Liar! I wouldnt believe anything Whirlpool, or their representatives told me about their products now. I just want their crap out of my house and I will never spend another one of my hard-earned dollars with them again. Too many other choices out there. I just want other buyers to Beware of Whirlpool.

We had purchased an 80-gallon hot water heater less than five years ago. The tank started leaking, so the whole hot water heater had to be replaced. The previous unit we had was at least 10 years old, if not more. We are extremely displeased with the quality, and very upset with having to outlay such a large amount of money within five short years. Whirlpool has certainly not earned our trust in their workmanship.

I have a brand new Whirlpool washer (Model WFW9640XW). It has been broken for 3 of the five weeks I have owned it. The Whirlpool cusotmer care cannot get me a working part in order to fix the machine. I am being told that I just have to wait until they find the part, with no end in sight. I am held hostage now that they have my money. I am told there is nobody I can talk to to break this impasse.

My past machines have lasted 12 plus years on upwards to 15 years each.Let me share exactly what my washing machine is doing: I went to wash clothes as usual the other day; the machine filled up and stopped abruptly - that was it! It did not spin but instead emptied the water without washing the clothes and made some loud chitty chitty bang bang noises before it was all over. I unplugged it after wasting a lot more water thinking that it might just suddenly start working. It did not start working again, it just continued its non-working status.My family has bought Whirlpool washing machines and dryers for years from Sears; we were totally satisfied with the products we purchased, however, this washing machine did not make the five year mark. I really do not know what is going on with the machine; what I do know is this - it stopped working and I would like to get it working again. Whirlpool microwave came with my new condo, and its as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. Very easy to use, sounds are not annoying (as my last microwave was) and heats food quickly and evenly, as needed.

Bought a model wdt730pahz in Nov 2017. Up until recently it ran fine and we were very happy. Some folks have reported that the soap dispenser door gets stuck. Same here. In our case we found, when using those detergent pods, to make sure that they are pushed all the way into the dispenser before you close the lid, or the lid jams. Other than that, the dishwasher got the dishes nice and clean. However, after just two years of using it maybe 3 times a week (there are only 2 of us) the motor died. Youd think a new motor ought to survive at least 500 cycles. Anyway, parts and labor was quoted at nearly $400. Debating whether to fix or replace the dishwasher. Might try ordering a motor and pump and replacing it myself.

I liked Whirlpool brand. I was excited about the convection option and the warming burner. Plus it was on sale. I really like the AquaLift self-cleaning option but guess what? It does not work well. It is very frustrating!!! I would not recommend buying a Whirlpool oven/range. Low quality construction, features that work poorly, and poor online reviews. Another deal breaker would be poor customer service and repair service. Over, the Whirlpool oven/range is fair. The electric glass top does a good job cooking but keeping the glass top clean is nearly impossible. The oven does a good job baking BUT, the AquaLift self-cleaning does not work. I would recommend that consumers pass on the Whirlpool.

I have a 5yr warranty. Im 3yrs in on the 3rd repair. Horrible. This time they cant get the part and Ive been dealing with them for 5 almost 6 months. I spend countless hours on hold trying to get a real person... When I do they send me to someone else where the queue starts over. I paid $400 extra to just have them replace the fridge and its been over a month and they cant even get a new one delivered. Just refund my money! This is beyond the pale. Dale, Sunrise Beach Mo.

I purchased a house with Whirlpool products installed. The refrigerator wasnt too cold but working for the first 2 months. Then the ice maker stopped working, the freezer stopped working and now nothing works. I have been through 4 service calls, I repaired that took almost 2 hours and the refrigerator is still not working. I have spoken with numerous Whirlpool representatives and they were like robots with respect to their response. There is a chain that they adhere to and once you have spoken to an executive at their corporate office, no one else can help you. Now I am trying to reach that executive and there hasnt been a response. I havent been able to have food in my refrigerator for over 3 weeks and counting. Imagine, eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner for this length of time. Christmas - no refrigerator, New Year - no refrigerator. A consumer who makes a purchase in good faith should not be put to this kind of agony while trying to remedy the situation. I dont know what happened to their customer service but it is nil. From my own personal experience and in my opinion, Whirlpool is not a company that cares about their customers, just their profits. I am at a loss . What are my options as a consumer?

The refrigerator is not repairable according to 2 different servicemen. The refrigerator just stopped making ice and not cooling all of a sudden. The problem seems to be inside the panel between the refrigerator and freezer portion. Its a side by side. First time I ever bought Whirlpool Appliances. To make things worse my Whirlpool oven does not work either. Even worse, the Microwave pretty much popped and never worked again. A Whirlpool microwave. The only thing still working is the Whirlpool dishwasher but I wonder for how long. Ive talked to Whirlpool and they said I only had a 1 yr warranty and they could not help. I am writing to their corporate office to complain. I have an old Maytag refrigerator that still works and puts out ice in my garage. I went to look at Maytag appliances and just found out that in 2006 Whirlpool took over Maytag. So I will not ever, ever buy another Whirlpool or Maytag again.

Stainless steel, easy to adjust, cools very well installed in a RV instead of standard RV fridge. Took a little bit of carpenter work to make Whirlpool fit but well worth the effort. The only problem I have with the fridge is that whirlpool wont honor the warranty because it is installed in a RV.

I owned a Maytag washer for 30 wonderful years, so I of course bought a new one. I have battled with my Maytag (Whirlpool) front loading stackable top of the line washing machine for 2 1/2 years. It will not drain, yet sometimes it will. I have played every game with this machine to figure why. I had a repair company out 5 times while it was under warranty and they could never find the problem. It is totally unpredictable. If I could bill Whirlpool for my time and anguish I would own this company!They now say it is the computer board and I will have to pay $350 for a new service contract to fix the machine. I not very politely said that they should pay me for all my emotional abuse. They offered me another option saying they would pay for a service company to come out and look again. However, I would have to pay the labor and material cost. Since I have a stackable unit and it would take 2 technicians I would have to pay $90 for the second person. I was so mad that I called Whirlpool back and they refused to offer me that $350 charge and just said sorry. I are fortunate to have a lake house which needs a new washer. Guess what? It will NOT be a Whirlpool product. I wish I could go to the store where I purchased this holy terror and picket!

I owned the Whirlpool washer for 13 months until it quit. Menards was no help with anything. I am going tomorrow to get to try my luck with Samsung.

Pulled a track home water heater out to replace with a Whirlpool 12 year smart heater. Well within 4 years with tank flush every year the water coming out of my hot water tap looks like mud. We have whole house water filters and when you drain the sink there is a layer of rust. I called and asked them what I should do and they told me to flush it with apple vinegar. Did this but a week later it was back. Called again and was told to do it three times with apple vinegar. There was nothing about this in the care manual about apple vinegar. I will never buy Whirlpool again NEVER!

Cannot reinstall oven door after glass cleaning. The worst design and absolutely no support from Whirpool. They said the instructions are in the Manual. NOT TRUE!!!. I have a Whirlpool GoldSeries dishwasher and I wish I had never bought it. I’ll start with the cons because I don’t think any other dishwasher on the market matches this: After 3.5 years either the motherboard or the motor is trash. It will cost so much to fix it that buying a new dishwasher is a better option. I paid more than $800 for the dishwasher + $200 for the install + $75 for the service call to find out it is garbage. I used it about 2-3 times per week, which adds up to about 455 uses total for the time I used it. This shows that the cost of this dishwasher, without operational cost considered, is $2.36 per load (or $307.14 per year if you prefer). No other appliance I have ever owned was as expensive, over its lifetime, as this dishwasher.Whirlpool customer service was difficult to get a hold of and then obstinate and useless. The dishwasher would stink if it was not cleaned regularly. Pros: It is quiet and it cleans the dishes well. Recommendation: Do not waste your money on this. Many other dishwashers are quiet and clean dishes but not many will be this big or expensive. A disappointment over their lifespan.

Stainless steel rusted in under six months - Purchased all new Whirlpool kitchen appliances in March 2013. In July 2013 finish on both refrigerator doors and freezer door was covered with tiny rust spots. The finish was obviously defective. Contacted Whirlpool, sent photos and was told the damage was cosmetic and not covered by warranty since it didnt happen within 90 days of purchase. Ice make did not work right from day one. Finally paid to replace it myself and repairman said Whirlpool discontinued the style of ice maker I had because they had so many complaints.

Purchased this Whirlpool refrigerator WRT771REYM at Home Depot in June 2014. Within a few months of purchase, had to call for a repair tech because the water line had frozen. Tech unfroze it and told us not to block the air vents to avoid this happening again. The amount of care we have to take to load this fridge so as not to have the water line freeze is ridiculous. Its very picky. For a while, we were still having to unfreeze the line every couple of months. Then it became more and more frequent, to the point where we cant keep it unfrozen for more than a few hours. This seems like shoddy design to me. And of course, the warranty is expired so I am out of luck unless I want to pay for repairs out of pocket.Adding insult to injury, Whirlpool claims that this isnt a common issue. Not true - there are numerous reviews about this very issue on Amazon, Sears, Home Depot, etc. Just try googling the model #. Sad that Whirlpool does not stand behind its products. Yet another American company to stop building quality and rely on planned obsolescence to ensure revenue generation.

I too expected a whole lot more for the price I paid for Whirlpool WTW5000DW1 HE washer top load. Fuzz, grass, pet hair and food remain after washing. Had a repairman out to look at it. There is nothing wrong with it. He says they do not use much water to save money. Well, if I a have to wash everything at least twice am I saving money? Think. Will look into an old fashioned washboard next time. Frankly I think it is a scam. The HE Tide is more concentrated and my clothes do not come clean! Tried to get my money back from the company that sold it to me and I was told only if I were to buy the $900 Speed Queen. Someone’s making a lot of money from consumers who need washing machines.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer set 2 1/2 years ago (Jan. 2009). I have 4 kids and do lots of laundry. This is THE WORST appliance, namely washer, I have ever owned! I so wish I had researched this product more. I ditto everything that has been said about this washer. It tore up so many items of clothing, I lost count and does a horrible job of getting stains out. I contacted Whirlpool on several occasions only to be told that they would send a technician out to see if there was something wrong. The technician would report that the washer was working properly and Whirlpool would then tell me, sorry, we cant do anything about it. I asked them if a washer was supposed to clean your clothes and unravel them? Yes, it is supposed to clean them. Well, its not doing that. No, it is not supposed to unravel and destroy them but well, it IS doing that! Therefore, the washer is not working properly. Just because a technician can not physically find something wrong with it, doesnt mean it is a poor functioning washer. This company should better learn very soon that you must stand behind the QUALITY of your products or you will soon be out of business. I will never purchase Whirlpool products ever again nor would I recommend it to anyone!

I dont know how anybody could write a good review on this machine. It always requires deep water wash and sometimes two cycles to get clothes clean. On regular cycle, it doesnt get water on all clothes. Oh yes, it does save water... Ive pulled things out with dry areas on them.

Purchased my Whirlpool WRF989SDAH00 White Ice fridge late September of 2014, received the fridge Early October, todays date is Dec 17, 2015. The freezer is not freezing food properly the last couple of days, all food is unfrozen in the freezer. Have lowered the temp settings has not helped, the fridge section is temperately fine. There is a noise coming from the fridge that sounds like a noisy fan or motor. Phoned Whirlpool Canada, they said they could send someone out. They will charge $100 for call out and over $20/15 min after. I asked whod theyd be calling to service. Said that Id try unplugging the fridge for a couple of days and seeing if that helps, and that Ill call the refrigeration company myself if I need them. Not satisfied with their short term warranties. Especially on such expensive products.
