It is a good refrigerator for the price, but it is not big enough for our family. It does get very cold in the refrigerator part unlike our last refrigerator. I only wish it had more shelf space on the door and the egg place fit more than 6 eggs.

This unit is without a doubt the best microwave I’ve owned. It is reliable, cooks to desired doneness. It defrosts and rewarms perfectly. For the price I do not believe that there is a better performer. Would highly recommend with no reservations.

My Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling just after a year. I had to buy a $319 warranty. It was fixed, but broke several months later. The repairman said he would try to stop the leak and it worked for a couple more months. The refrigerator was obviously irreparable and we should have had it replaced by Whirlpool at this point. Now, that it broke again (stopped cooling and freezing) the repair service is giving us the runaround. Its over a week and they wanted us to call a repair service and they would reimburse them. The repair service and Whirlwind know about this problem, but refuse to acknowledge it and are getting away with it. With all the comments Im reading here, there should definitely be a recall. Id like to know what it takes to have one authorized.

I have made a conscious choice to remove baked food from my diet back in ea
I have made a conscious choice to remove baked food from my diet back in early 2013. That has not stopped my wife from pursuing her passion for baking from time to time. It goes without saying that baking requires a well functioning baking oven. The one that came with our home was a Whirlpool Wall Oven/Microwave combination. Sometime in early 2014 the Oven broke down. I had no choice but to replace the combination. After doing some online research and a couple of trips to stores like Sears, Home Depot and Lowes, we decided to drop $2700 of our hard earned dollars on a brand new Whirlpool WOC95EC0AS wall oven microwave combo to replace the old one. Lowes sent someone home to take measurement to make sure that we ordered the right size for the slot in our kitchen. 2 weeks after the purchase, around March 27th or 28th, we had the Microwave/oven combo installed in our kitchen by some Lowes provided installation contractor. After installing the appliance, the technician demoed both the microwave and the oven part of the combo. Everything looked good and we were happy to see the shiny new appliance adorning our kitchen. Little did we know then that this would start a seemingly unending horror story. For the first 3-4 weeks we used only the microwave and it worked as expected. Then one weekend, my wife decided to do some baking. The dough was prepared meticulously and then came the first surprise, the oven refused to turn on. Feature not available - the message scrolled across the LED display. And horror of horrors, the microwave started giving the same message immediately after. We looked online for solutions, and we found one that suggested that we try breaking the circuit for 1 minute and turn on again we tried it to no avail. And now we went from having a working microwave/broken oven to no microwave/no oven.We waited till the next day or so before placing a call to the customer service number provided in our warranty receipt. By now the 30 day return guarantee had expired and it was the end of April, 2014. Product was now under manufacturers warranty. Whirlpool/Lowes customer service scheduled a technician to come take a look at the oven.My wife took a day off from work and waited for the technician. The technician from J&H appliance repair of SJ came home, took a look and then tried breaking the circuit and turning it on again after a minute; of course, it did not work. After consulting with someone on the phone, he decided to order some parts the main circuit board. He promised to come back after the part arrived. We did receive a call from J&H to schedule an appointment to install the part and schedule a time we did. J&H decided to no-show us on the appointment and my wife wasted another day of her time-off from work.We called customer-service again and this time they decided to send in a technician from a Sears owned company called A&E Factory Service. A technician came home and he went through the same steps as the earlier technician from J&H. This time, it was my turn to stay home and welcome the visitor. Finally when there was no trick up his sleeves to left to try, he decided he is going to order the main board. A&E technician did something different, he ordered the part to my home. I called him as soon as it arrived. We scheduled a time and he arrived to install the part. I stayed home again. Well, result was no different and the appliance was in no mood to oblige to our coaxing and cajoling. Feature not available, it continued to bleep out. He ordered 2 more boards to my home. I stayed home again to welcome the technician and he arrived again to install the 2 new boards but the result was no different than the last time. Feature not available - the zombie appliance screamed. He told me that there is only one that remains to be done which is to replace the front panel circuitry so he ordered it. By now it was end of June. We hadnt used the oven for 3 full months and the microwave for 2 months.First week of July, a new technician from A&E showed up early in the morning to install the newly ordered front panel. Surprise, Surprise - Feature not available screamed the shiny lemon sitting in my kitchen wall. The technician asked me if I will be home the whole day and I said yes. Another technician, a supposedly senior expert came by that afternoon. He tinkered with it for a couple of hours and like all who came before him, he surrendered. He said there is nothing left to do with the oven and that he is going to recommend that the oven be replaced. He left me a voice mail next morning saying that I need to call Whirlpool myself and apprise them of my experience and ask for a replacement. So I called the customer service after a long 1 hour talk with customer service rep, followed by a conversation with his rude supervisor. I was told that Whirlpool no longer deals with A&E that they broke their relationship with them as of June 31st, 2014. I failed to understand why that was my fault. I was told they need to send technician from another company, can you guess the company whirlpool recommended? It would be funny, if it wasnt incredibly painful to deal with horrible customer support representatives yes, it was the the no-show company J&H. I told him Id have nothing to do with J&H. So they recommended their only other option, a company called AGO.AGO technicians started showing up at my house since early July and I waited with baited breath for them to suggest a way forward to a resolution. Well good thing that I didnt hold my breath for that to happen. AGO technicians have made 8-9 visits to my home during July and August with the last visit being on Aug 20th. They replaced all the boards that A&E guys had already replaced the previous month. On August 21st, I received a call from AGO rep saying that they have given up that the product is irreparable. They gave me a reference number and asked me to call Whirlpool for a final resolution.I called Whirlpool customer service on August 22, 2014 and Spoke to Jennifer and her supervisor for 32 minutes. They wanted to restart the whole process of sending technicians to my home. It would be funny if they hadnt stolen $2700 of my hard earned money + all the lost hours and productivity + vacation time lost + headache they caused + the pain of not having a working Oven/Microwave in our kitchen + dealing with rude customer service reps, I lost it. I threatened to put the whole recorded conversation on YouTube. The rude inconsiderate supervisor hung up on me.I called back after a few minutes and spoke with a tad bit more reasonable rep named Ashley. At least, she had the patience to hear me out without barking at me about what my rights are as a customer. Well she had no better solution than to suggest another technician appointment what was the excuse this time? That the last technician from AGO didnt call Whirlpools tech support line while he was at my house. As if that is my fault. I agreed and we setup an appointment for Wednesday, August 27, 2014 between 8AM and 12PM with the same old company J&H who no showed me once. Goes to show you who Whirlpools associates in business are. They had only two companies providing repair services in San Jose AGO and J&H.I took the morning off from work on Aug 27, 2014 and waited till 12 noon and there was no sign of technician. So I called Whirlpool customer service number one more time. As you would expect by now, a rude customer service person named Eva from Michigan picked up my call. It was reasonably clear to me during that conversation that the J&H technician no-showed because appointment was not communicated to them. She emphatically claimed that my warranty is not a product replacement warranty but a repair warranty and that she needs to send me a technician to take a look at the product. Can anyone believe it? She told me I have only one option either to accept the perpetual technician visits or she will note that I have rejected their offer to service the product. I told her I am not rejecting anything, just exploring all my options. She assured me I had no other options. The arrogance of these people! So here I am, several thousand of my hard earned money stolen by Whirlpool and I still have no working product. Adding insult to injury, 2 weeks ago I received a letter from Whirlpool pitching me to extend my 3 year extended warranty to 5 years. They want to inflict more pain and charge you for the privilege.I have more options than Eva would want me to know. Luckily I have legal coverage under my benefit plans at work. Even more importantly there is social media and internet. I am pursuing those options at the moment. Heres the summary: Lowes takes my $2700 on March 13th. I get the Wall Oven delivered and installed on March 27th. A total of at least 15 repair visits are made to my home between first week of March May and August 21 (I have started losing count). Time since product purchase: > 5 months. # of times the oven has worked : 0. Hours spent talking to rude customer service reps: 4-6 hours. Time spent at home baby sitting repair technicians : > 100 hours. Lowes, Inc washed their hand stating 30 day money back guarantee is over. Its customer service people were not of any help either. UPDATE 9/15/14:Within a few hours of publishing this post (on 9/2/14), I was contacted by both Lowes and Whirlpool via Twitter. Both the companies seemed genuinely interested in resolving this issue. After I DMed my appliance and contact information via twitter, Melissa from Whirlpool called me and left me a voice mail on Wednesday, Sept 3rd, 2014 informing that they have decided to replace the oven. I was told in that voice mail that I should expect a call from Whirlpool on the details of the exchange before end of day on Friday (Sept 5th). I was contacted by Lowes and I informed the Lowes rep that Whirlpool has agreed to replace my oven.I thought I would really be able to make a single update to the post informing the world that Whirlpool really made amends and tried to hard to correct the failures of the past. It is 9/15/14 today and I havent received any updates from Whirlpool about the how/when of the exchange. I made 2 customer service calls to Whirlpool last week. I was unable to speak to Melissa the first time, but did speak with another rep. She told me she will pass the information on to Melissa and ask her to contact me. She connected me to Melissas voice mail and I left her a voice mail. Melissas voice mail greetings suggested that I also contact her via Whirlpools customer service email for faster response. So I did that too.On Thursday 12:37PM pacific, I received a call from Melissa. She had no useful information to share with me. She is waiting for some paper pusher to do his/her job and could not make any promises as to when it will be resolved. My file is stuck in one of Whirlpools many bureaucratic bottlenecks. This is no personal indictment of Melissa it is just evidence that Whirlpools is not serious about customer satisfaction. My experience is not isolated as evidenced not just by this event but also by the number of people ranting on their social media handles. Here was an opportunity to rectify its mistake and win the confidence of a customer back and so far Whirlpool seems to be uninterested in any such thing.IMPORTANT UPDATE (9/16/14): Please share this story via your social media handles. It is important to hold these people accountable for their actions. It is also important that we inform consumer about the perils of doing business with these organizations. Thank you very much. UPDATE (9/17/14): Whirlpools customer supports twitter moniker is @WhirlpoolCare. LOL. They could have demonstrated care by resolving customer issues, instead they removed my permission to post to their Facebook Page. WhirlpoolCare indeed.:) I will be handling this mostly through Twitter follow me at **. I will be using hashtag #whirlpoolsux going forward. I would request that you do the same. Thank you.https://www.facebook.com/WhirlpoolCare.

I am somewhat satisfied with my induction range. We ordered it just before Thanksgiving from Lowe’s a year and a half ago. We were told that we would have it before Christmas, which was fine with me. I don’t cook for Thanksgiving. Just a lot of Christmas baking. It turned out that Whirlpool had not started making our range until January and it wasn’t delivered until mid-January. It had been really good until about a month ago, when it blew the circuit breaker. My husband was cooking dinner while I was at work and it just blew the circuit breaker. No power surge in the rest of the house. No other circuit breakers affected. When the power was turned back on, two burners were out. As it turns out, the main circuit board is dead. So now the one large burner, a small burner and the ovens don’t work. There are two circuit boards for each oven. When it is working, it is a great stove. However when it doesn’t work, it is costly and takes a while to get repaired.

This is a defect due to the removal of the dispenser heater being removed. The insulation is inadequate behind the ice/water dispenser (@ 3 feet from the bottom of the door.) Replaced the line, thawed it out multiple times, added extra line under the fridge in the coils to try and warm up the water in the line between the 90 degree elbow connector and the dispenser... no luck. Since all the manufacturers models are being assembled in Mexico, using the same designs, other models are have the same issue. GE is backing theirs with a replacement freezer door. Well see if Whirlpool backs theirs. This whirlpool Gold is @ 3 years old and the issue started around a year ago.

Extremely disappointed in Whirlpool oven! Built new home and this was recommendation by BAC Appliance. The oven does not self-clean well at all, and my spills are minimal. Deposits between glass doors that cant be removed. Oven is barely cleaner than before I cleaned for full cycle. Oven suddenly shuts off for a short while and then restarts. Steam comes when using lower oven and removes finish on upper oven. I expected Whirlpool to have a quality product. Definitely not! BAC really had no answers for me.

I purchased a home from Pulte and closed in June of 2020 and had no choice but to take Whirlpool appliances. Pulte does not offer high end appliances in order to maximize their profit. The first thing that failed after only 3 months was the Microwave and because we didnt want to get the same cheap microwave we upgraded and paid 400 for a Kitchen Aid, same size but never received the trim kit that matches the oven that came in sometime in October 2020. It is now January 2022 and we are still waiting for the trim kit. Every time we call to find out we spend hours on the phone. The refrigerator is a cheap version of the worst refrigerator made in China, the ice maker works ok but ice gets stuck in the chute and when it doesnt get stuck half goes to the glass and the other half to the floor. Poor design and we are stuck with it. Tried to buy an LG from Costco but it wont go through the door so again we are stuck with this small refrigerator with no room for groceries for two people. Stovetop is also cheap, only looks good the day we got the house, one of the burners would go off when turned to low with gas still flowing. Grates look 10 years old but must admit we cook every day. Oven will not calibrate and it is not accurate so we have learned to set everything 10 degrees higher to make up for the variance. Dishwasher had issues as well, unless you run it for 3 hours the shorter settings always have dishes or utensils still soiled. Warranties have expired after one year so it is now time to replace almost everything if we want decent appliances. Very disappointed but I blame Pulte for buying cheap.

After only 6 months of use, the cooktop light bulb burned out. When I tried to replace it, the glass part of the bulb separated from the base. The bulb is screwed in so that the base faces away from the front of the microwave. With the small cavity and the backward installation, it will be impossible to remove. Now I have no light and dread how much a service call will be. The unit was installed by a contractor prior to our purchase of the house and it is now out of warranty.

We purchased Model # WFG231LVQ from Appliance Connections. Its a 5 burner with oven. When my husband went to clean the stove door, the bottom handle fell off because the heat from the oven had melted it brittle. Weve had this stove less than 3 months. Then we see where the clips that hold the glass on the front door have melted. The plate that separates the burner from the oven has bowed and splintered the porcelain. And the oval griddle burner only puts out flames on one side. Whirlpool sends a repairman out. He states that they really make them cheap these days. Writes down the whole list of things wrong with it. Repairman calls us back and reports that Whirlpool only wants to replace the parts. Im afraid to use my oven. I want it replaced or my money back!

Bought a Whirlpool french door fridge in July of 2019, The icemaker began pouring water out of it and the temperature of the fridge would not go below 50 degrees. Contacted Whirlpool and the technician says it will be over $800 in parts plus service to repair. Now I must go 24 days without a fridge in the middle of summer until they can get the parts. Whirlpool should be held accountable for manufacturing the defective fridge and leaving their customers stranded.

I purchased a Whirlpool fridge in September of 2015. In March of 2016 I noticed the Fridge portion was getting too cold. By April 2016 the freezer stopped freezing and fridge started warming up. I reported the issue to Whirlpool and made an appointment. The day of the appointment the first company called and their tech couldnt make it because of a family emergency. They sent another company out instead. That company diagnosed the issue as a faulty chiller and ordered the part and told me they would be in touch. A week goes by with no working fridge and I call them. They say it will be another week for the parts. Two weeks go by - no call. I call them and they say they have the parts and I make an appointment. The day of the appointment I call them to find out what time they will be out and they tell me they dont have all the parts. And when I mention that I have been without a fridge and that I am frustrated that they arent calling me and that I am having to call them back the lady starts yelling at me asking me if I want to cancel my appointment. So I call Whirlpool and ask for another company. They send a company out that is not trained to be working on a sealed unit. So I call Whirlpool back again and they send an in house tech out three days later. This is over about a month without a fridge at this point. Their tech simply recharges the system and says that it should be fine.A week later the freezer stops freezing and the fridge warms up to the point that both are not usable. The tech comes out and diagnoses that there it is most likely the chiller because of a build up of frost in the freezer. Orders the part and a week and a bit later I call Whirlpool up to get an ETA on the parts. They say they have the parts now (no call??) and they schedule an appointment. The tech comes out and puts the part in almost a week later (2 months now) and says that it is still building up frost in an area that it shouldnt and calls tech support back and forth for the next two hours. He leaves saying give it some time to see if it works, but admits to me that it is likely it is leaking in an area that he cant access. So I call up Whirlpool and explain the situation and ask for a new Fridge. It has been two months and the tech by his own admission could not say he fixed the problem and thought the problem maybe somewhere else. After looking at my case and me being on hold back and forth for about a half hour the supervisor says that at this time I need to wait to see if it fails again. And that if it does I need to have a tech back on site to verify. So this will be the seventh time I took time off work, it will be the fourth time the fridge fails and that I will have to throw out groceries. When is enough enough. I am into this now for almost double what the fridge is worth in lost wages and groceries.Do yourself a favour and stay away from Whirlpool!!! If I have to guess the following will happen: five days from now the fridge will stop working again (when the Freon leaks out - same timeline as previously) and then I have to call for a tech (3-4 days) and the tech will come out, determine that it isnt working. I have another conversation with a supervisor asking for a new fridge and they miraculously agree (yeah I know). Then what two weeks, a month... before I get a new fridge. I anticipate that I will have been without a fridge for 3 months before it is all resolved. Ridiculous is all I can say. Whirlpool should be embarrassed.

I purchased our brand new double ovens on 9/27/11. I was happy until 11/3/11 when the inside glass exploded, shooting shards of it all over our kitchen during the self-cleaning cycle. I immediately called Kitchen Aides corporate office in Michigan. She said that she could send a technician out to access the damages but didnt see that this was a product issue. Like I dont know how to properly push buttons to self clean! The technician came out the next day and said that he was only authorized to replace the glass, nothing else. He couldnt tell me why it shattered, he thought perhaps there was a bubble in the glass during manufacturing. I said I think it needs a whole new door at the very least, but more likely a new unit. I just paid $3000 for what will be a refurbished oven after one month of use. Today, I called once again to tell them that I am not satisfied with new glass, not to mention my oven is unusable in its current state and still has glass sipping out. I spoke to a woman in their safety committee department, who told me that Whirlpools warranty is replacement of broken parts, nothing more, and since only one pane of glass broke and not the door physically, they couldnt authorize a new door or new oven. Mind you, that we still dont know why it broke, was it just faulty glass or could it be a heating problem? She didnt care, only that they could only repair the glass. I asked if the glass could be overnighted since I have been without an oven for four days now. She said that she had no way of doing that, so I asked if I could speak to the parts department and she said I could not, that only techs could contact them. I asked if she could do anything for me? Could she assure me that it would be fixed within the week? No. Could she assure me that it would be fixed by Thanksgiving? No. Whirlpools policy clearly is that once you purchase their products, they have no intentions of listening to their customers complaints or concerns only to do the very minimum required.

I now have rust happening because it doesn’t dry. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.

These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together
These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together which they attempt to do in a minute amount of water. They destroy the fabric, pull the seam out of shape, wrinkle them beyond the point of wearable, do not get them clean and do not get all the detergent out. I have had clothes come out partially dry. They also do not dilute the fabric softener, leaving unremovable stains on your clothes. In addition, they take forever to do a load of clothes even without the extra rinse you need if you want any hope of getting the clothes rinsed. The dryer is the slowest dryer I have ever had. The steam refresh that is supposed to get the hideous wrinkles out of your clothes does not put steam into the dryer. Instead, it sets the dryer to the highest heat so that those clothes you did not want on high heat are now getting it; then it shoots bursts, yes large bursts, of water on them. Your clothes come out a combination of still wrinkles and wet. If you hear of a class action suit, please contact me. These machines should be recalled.

I bought this Whirlpool Cabrio from Lowes June 2016. It doesnt wash the clothes at all, always detergent marks or clothes just not clean. Now it is making some loud noise during washing cycles (sounds like motor is dying) and I now I have to wait for someone to come out and fix it during a 8-5 time span, so I have to take off work. When I contacted them, they stated cosmetics were only good for 30 days. We had just moved and were getting settled so we didnt use the range much for the first 30 days. I am very unhappy with this product and also unhappy with Sears for their lack of effort.

My wife and I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set in 2011 and now the washer has an error code of F7 E5. I spoke with an appliance guy and he says that it is going to cost up to $450 to repair it. The wash cycle does nothing, it just sits there and then it goes to the next cycle. I have grown up in a household that had washing machines that lasted many years. This is a joke. Why am I having to buy a new washer in 3 years? I dont understand. Whirlpool knows that this is a problem and they should step up and do a recall or some kind of discount towards a new machine. This is ridiculous.

I’ve had this washer since October 2018. Worst purchase ever. It does not clean the clothes nor does it put enough water in it. I’ve tried the deep water option too and it’s for sure still not enough. I don’t understand how they even thought that this was perfectly fine to sell. If I could’ve taken it back a month after having it, I for sure would. And no one will buy it because they’ve read reviews of how it’s terrible. I wasted $900 on this washer. I have the dryer also which works amazing. The washer just sucks something terrible. My husbands military uniforms always look dirty and a lot of the clothes aren’t ever wet. I’ve finally seen a picture of how you’re supposed to have clothes in there. Why in the world would you only allow barely a layer of clothes at the very bottom to be cleaned by the agitator? Why would you have this huge drum only to put not even a load in there? This was such a waste Whirlpool and I’m glad I’m not the only person who has the same issue. I will never purchase another Whirlpool washer, it’s upsetting I can’t currently get rid of this crap washer I have now.

I have owned many Whirlpool appliances and bought this last one because of past good experience. Turns out, after $300 plus repair, it was the control panel. The repairman said, This should not have happened, it is like new. I asked him if he thought it was a lemon? He just looked down, it happens. I am so disappointed in the quality of Whirlpool. 4 years ago, we purchased a Model UMV1160CW-3 over the range microwave. After 14 months the door cracked around the handle and eventually fell off. We made the HUGE mistake of buying the same model for ease of installation thinking that this would be a typical issue. We purchase another duplicate model in April of 2016 and less than 16 months later the same issue occurred. Spoke to customer service on 12/28/2018 and they told me that they would pick up the cost of the parts but I would be responsible for labor which actually exceeded the cost of the microwave. Exceedingly poor-quality product and support. Will not purchase another Whirlpool appliance.

I did not purchase the extended warranty, so the Whirlpool 1 year warranty was all I had. The repair technician (local company, not from Whirlpool directly) told me that the compressor had seized up, and the repair would be at least $300. I thought Id call Whirlpool just to see if theyd be willing to do anything for me. Long story short: No. I told the person on the phone: “I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.” She said: “Im very sorry about that.” After I hung up, I thought: If Whirlpool was really sorry, theyd stand behind their products for a part that should not fail after only 2.5 years.

Finally, last week, I had enough & wrote certified letters to Whirlpools corporate offices, the service company they sent out to fix it, which was a nightmare by the way and the Better Business Bureau. I am still without a working refrigerator after two months!!!This is two lemons that Whirlpool has sold me in less than two years and the service has been horribly unacceptable!!! Bought on 9/11/2014 and installed by Lowes installers on the 15th. It quit heating two days later. Called Lowes and they said I would have to call Whirlpool. I did. WP had me metering with a multi-meter until found OTC button was tripped. Then they suggested I troubleshoot the elements and sent me a video. I called Lowes and they said they would replace. Later they called back and said WP would not give them a RA number and for me to call them. I did and the rep after much arguing directed me to call their factory authorized service, A & E. I did and they said it would be 33 days before they could come out. I hung up and called Lowes who called back later and wanted me to call WP again. This time they said they did not have a repair service close enough to come, but I could try buying the lower heating element and replacing it to see if that worked. I said no, the heater was brand new and they needed to fix it. Their next solution was have me contact a local plumber and arrange to troubleshoot, me pay the plumber and then send them the bill. They would reimburse me up to $100.00. Not acceptable and now the button has to be reset every few hours and the water gets scalding hot while it is heating. I called Lowes and they said they would get back to me, but I have little hope of a resolution. Product number is ** SN is ** Model is E2F50HD045V. Bought at Lowes, Lindale, TX.

I have had my Kitchenaid dishwasher since April 2010. I have the receipt as proof. I have recently had a professional out to replace a seal in the door, the gasket on the vent and the unit still leaks. The only places left are the metal body and door. I called to say I wanted the warranty honored. I was told one of their servicers had to verify. I agreed. Their servicer came out at the agreed time. He did not bother to protect my hardwood floors from his muddy shoes. He also absolutely wreaked of cigarette smoke. He proceeded to try and push me into paying for the same repairs I had done last week because he would not warranty the parts under warranty unless I paid him to replace parts a week old. I told him he was here to verify the leak not push me into more repair costs. At this point, he began slamming his tool box together and exclaimed Thanks for wasting my time. I called the Kitchenaid warranty number in my pamphlet to see about the warranty. They refused without making me pay for their esteemed professional to do the same work, a real professional already did. The best I was given was 30% off a new appliance. When they wont honor their 20 yr warranty on the one I have, telling me their unprofessional is so much better than the one I used who did protect my floors and treated me with respect, I have no faith left in this company or its servicers. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I plan to be very vocal with this companys refusal to stand behind their products and explicit support of disrespectful servicemen.

I bought a Whirlpool model GI7FVCXWY00 over and under refrigerator directly
I bought a Whirlpool model GI7FVCXWY00 over and under refrigerator directly from Whirlpool through DirectBuy on April 19, 2010. The unit was a relatively high-end model (over $2,000) that came with a 12-month warranty. Thirteen months after purchase and 1 month after warranty expiration, the ice maker stopped working flooding the kitchen in the process. We called Whirlpool who recommended one of their authorized maintenance subcontractors (GuinCo) to appraise the problem. GuinCo came out, diagnosed that a valve in the ice maker had gone bad and the repair cost us $364. We chalked that up to Murphys Law (repair needed immediately after warranty expiration). Not 4 months later, the kitchen comes up flooded again and again and the ice makers not working. We call GuinCo, the repairman come out and said this time that its a heater and ice maker defect which will cost $643 to repair. He also said that the unit has been designated as having a design defect. We held off on the repair until we could contact Whirlpool for some remediation since it has become obvious that the unit is a lemon. I called Whirlpool, laid out the problems, timelines and potential cost (ice maker failures are going to cost us almost half of what the entire refrigerator cost before the unit is a year and a half old) and the only response they had netted out to was: Sorry, you should have had extended warranty. This is a prime example of an American manufacturer, marketing an inferior product and offering the customer nothing when the lack of quality becomes obvious. I will recommend to anyone I know to stay as far away from Whirlpool products as long as I live.

My oven had been temperamental since day one, then got worse over time. I do not use my oven that much so was not really worried or alarmed until a tray of cookies caught fire. It was set at 350 and jumped to 525 on its own. (I bought an oven thermometer to monitor) Minor burn taking tray out but all okay :-). Contacted Lowe’s where we bought it and they would do nothing (note: at this point the oven is 15-months old and out of warranty). Advised me to contact Whirlpool. Did that - they sent out a repair service and they determined it was the temp. sensor. It is now April 2014 and I am still waiting for the part (this all started Sept 2013). I have since talked and wrote to Whirlpool for this to be resolved and also asked that the range be recalled due to fire hazard at the least! When I spoke to them in December, they said they could give me ‘50% off the part’. Remember I am still waiting for that part, lol! After writing corp h/q, they said “Sorry, since we cant get the part why not have someone come in and take the old part out and have it rebuilt.” I ask you Whirlpool w/q would you be happy with that??? If you are in the market for a new refrigerator, STAY AWAY from Whirlpool Top Freezer models. Mine just failed after only 5 years and Whirlpool will NOT do a thing about it, except ask, Did you buy the extended warranty? The compressor in my refrig was made in Mexico by a company called Embraco. I used to work for Whirlpool and these compressors were garbage then, and I guess still are, in my opinion. The 5 year sealed system warranty was removed from these refrig years ago and I can only assume this is why. If you want the 5 year SS warranty, buy a side by side or French door model. Just be sure it doesnt have an Embraco compressor on it! And while I am not a believer in them, planned obsolescence dictates you probably should buy the extended warranty/service plan for such a purchase. Dont rely on positive past experience, even for a company like Whirlpool. Their gold ring of promise emblem is very tarnished for me now.

In March of 2013, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator; model number WRF990
In March of 2013, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator; model number WRF990SLAM00 from Lowes. About two weeks after my manufacturers warranty expired, I called Whirlpool because the refrigerator wasnt working anymore. It took several weeks and the need to call four different repair companies before we finally had one that was willing and able to come attempt to repair the refrigerator. They came out, changed a few parts and left. Several weeks later, the refrigerator quit again. This time, when I called whirlpool (about June 2014), I was able to convince them to give me an extended warranty. They told me that the warranty would expire in December, and that all the work and service would be covered up to that date. This was fortunate because that repair, parts alone, was near a thousand dollars. Of course, the repair company couldnt make these repairs in my kitchen, so they had to remove the refrigerator and take it to their shop for several days. By this point, we had lost two refrigerators full of food. In mid-November 2014, the refrigerator quit again. We lost another refrigerator full of food. We called Whirlpool and the repair company again, and the repair was scheduled. I have six children and we spent Thanksgiving without a refrigerator in our home. The repair shop kept the refrigerator for several days after they fixed it to make sure it wouldnt leak coolant, because by this time, they had figured out that there were several pin hole sized leaks in the coolant line. It didnt leak. They had it for about four weeks total before they brought it back to us. By the next morning after having the refrigerator plugged in for several hours in our kitchen, the temp was at 65 degrees in the refrigerator and 60 in the freezer. I called the repair company again and whirlpool. The repair company has come to the conclusion that there must be a leak in the coolant line in the walls of the refrigerator and it is deemed unrepairable. They called the whirlpool tech line and the tech people told them to come back to our house and read the pressures the next day. They came out, read the pressures, determined that coolant had leaked out and told the tech department it was not repairable. The tech department told them to go through the entire cooling system again. This is something they have done several times. Today, they brought the refrigerator back after going through the entire cooling system, yet again. Its still not working. As I type this, my refrigerator is at a balmy 55 degrees. The repair company and I have both, on numerous occasions requested a replacement refrigerator. This was a very high end purchase for us. The original cost of the refrigerator was around $3,000. I have lost around $1500 worth of food, which Ive also requested on numerous occasions for Whirlpool to reimburse and they refuse. Whirlpool refuses to replace the refrigerator. Today, I found out that, by mistake, they gave me a one year extended warranty instead of six months. They said that it does not expire until June 19, 2015. Even with this information, they told me that the best offer that they will give me is IF I am willing to EXCHANGE my lemon that is in my kitchen right now, they will SELL me a replacement refrigerator at a discount. They say that the terms of the extended warranty are different than terms of a manufacturers warranty. This is unacceptable. I am currently out several thousand dollars for an over sized filtered water dispenser in my kitchen. Throughout 2014, we spent somewhere between three and four months without a working refrigerator in our home. As of right now, I havent had a working refrigerator for about six weeks and through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. I bought the refrigerator because I thought it would act like a refrigerator and not a paper weight. An Implied Warranty of Merchantability has no expiration date. It requires that the goods be fit for the ordinary purposes for which they are to be used. This refrigerator is not fit to be used.Id also like to mention that during the times that Ive spoken with Whirlpool on the phone, they have told me that they would replace the refrigerator if the repair company deemed it unrepairable. Typically when I call whirlpool, I am on hold for fifteen to thirty minutes before I get to a representative. Today, I was on hold for forty minutes before my call was disconnected. This has happened numerous times. Ive also had representatives disconnect the call several times when they were transferring me to another department, or putting me on hold. I estimate that I have spent at least forty hours on the phone with the customer service department for whirlpool in the last several months. And even, with all that, I have not had a dependable refrigerator for eight months. I need this resolved and I dont feel that it is fair for me to be financially punished because of the lemon that Ive already purchased from Whirlpool.

The oven has not worked correctly from day one. I have to use a thermometer plus after the correct temp is indicated I still have to wait another 15 minutes for the oven to reach the desired temp. Also have to set the temp for 25 degrees higher than the one I want. The burner that supposedly has two sizes in one is basically useless. Temps are not correct and sizes are misleading. There is a tiny groove around the outside edge of the stove top that gathers crumbs which are hard to clean out.

My dishwasher is just under 3 years old. It has never cleaned well and doesnt dry well at all. I have replaced parts for the top rail 4x. I have 4 other Wp appliances and none are good. The plastic parts in these appliances are beyond cheap and yet they have no problem selling them at a premium. And they also do not stand by their products. Why in the world would you need an extended warranty to get you through 3 years? In other words they make crap and want you to pay them because their stuff is crap... Im done with Whirlpool.

My 3 year old Whirlpool refrigerator costing $1285.86, needs a new motor and fan. Of course it died right after a trip to the grocery store. On a week temperatures were well into the 90 degree range. Needless to say my groceries had to be thrown out at a cost of an additional $250. How convenient that the refrigerator died 2 months after the 3 year protection plan ran out. I just spent $182.94 to have a repair person come and check out the refrigerator. I will need to spend another $170.00-$200.00 for the motor and fan once the parts come in, which can take up to another 10 days. Had to go out and buy a backup refrigerator that cost $562.38. Also had an issue with this refrigerator after a year and half with ice building up in the bottom of the freezer. Luckily we had the protection plan at that time, otherwise that would have cost us $157.58. The refrigerator is stainless steel and I have a terrible time keeping the rust off the front of it. At this point l guess all I can do is warn everyone I know to never buy a Whirlpool appliance if this is an indication of how they manufacture their products. So very disgusted with this refrigerator! Sad my old Frigidaire was close to 30 years old when the freezer just wasnt freezing well anymore. Thats why my new backup refrigerator is a Frigidaire and not a Whirlpool.

Ive read the reviews on this appliance. First of all the all of the washing machine being manufactured are designed to save energy and water. The water is loaded in the machine based on the WEIGHT of the clothes. the washing machines no longer have the features to (small, medium, large load) so the consumer can fill the machine. Having said that, most sales representatives will tell you appliances manufactured today are no longer designed to last 15-20 years, although they are way more expensive than the workhorses made in the past.I got rid of my fancy Samsung washing machine because it broke down at least 4 times within the first year of purchase and decided to go with the whirlpool because Ive had a workhorse in the past that was worked excellent. I love the fact the washers no longer have the agitator in the middle which allow me to wash my king sized bedding without the machine becoming unbalanced or making a lot of noise. So far the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer is working very well. Id rather give the Whirlpool a chance any day over the new johnny come latelys, which are more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but are failing miserably in performance. I also love my Cabrio 8.8 dryer. They both work better than the Samsung models I got rid of.

This is a good customer service (CS) review. Whirlpool knows about the defect and continues to distribute the fridge this way. We have a Whirlpool model #WRF757SDEM01 we purchased this year (2017). We love the size and the fact that the ice bin is in the door and takes up very little room. Our only complaint prior to this issue was the ice and water do not always come out gracefully. So we were happy overall till a large block of ice formed in the back of the fridge. My original call to CS was great. They did not ask me a bunch of stupid questions, just said that should not be happening and scheduled a service call.Service guy knew exactly what it was because he had repaired the same model with the same issue several times. It is a defect in the dual cooling/defrost system that Whirlpool knows about, but continues to produce. Two parts need to be replaced and one part had to be ordered. Which was not a big deal since two days were needed to thaw out the mini glacier. We lost food so I made a second call to CS and again there were no stupid questions or arguments. They got a $75 debit card in the mail to us. So I thank Whirlpools CS reps, but sure wish the manufacturing side of things were a little more diligent in production. Certainly this cost them money on all accounts.

We recently purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator and washer/dryer set from Home Depot. The truck for delivery was late and unable to pick up the refrigerator in time for scheduled delivery. Whirlpool contacted us to inform that it was now on back order for another week claiming there was nothing else they could do. Strike one. We paid for the installation and kit for the washer and dryer set. The tech who delivered them claimed the kit was not correct and that he could not install the dryer. We contacted Home Depot, Whirlpool, and had Home Depot call Whirlpool on our behalf with no resolution. They will not refund the installation even though they didn’t install anything.Whirlpool will not directly say whether or not they will send someone else out to actually install it this time. To top it off - I asked the Whirlpool rep which kit needs to be used and she told me whichever I want... for a gas hook up... whichever I want. This is ridiculous and Whirlpool has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Side note - don’t waste time on the chat feature they provide. You will be directed back to the 800 number with 30 minute hold times. Horrible company!

Sent person that delivered the refrigerator to fix problem, freezer had frozen ice behind each drawer approximately 2 inches that would not allow drawers to close. Delivery person used hair dryer to melt ice and adjusted drawers. Still periodically have to physically remove ice build up to allow drawers in freezer to seal properly. Ice maker stopped working, makes no ice at all, ice comes from inside refrigerator not from freezer, bad design.Today woke up to freezer drawers completely thawed and had to throw away all food, panel shows temperature at -2*. All food thawed and unable to be cooked/used. Called Whirlpool could not send someone until next Tuesday (4 days). We are a family of 5 and cannot wait that long. Unfortunately have called 3 other appliance companies only to find that refrigerator has to be repaired by special technicians! This is our first Whirlpool, bought because made in America, have been very disappointed with our $2500.00 purchase. Not sure that we will ever purchase another Whirlpool product, our inclination will be to buy less expensive product and choose to replace as opposed to paying recurring service calls + parts and labor.

I purchased this Refrigerator Model #wrb322dmb, bottom freezer, 21cu ft. last year on July 3, 2015. In September I noticed rust spots on the top door. I called Home Depot where I purchased and they directed me to Whirlpool. I did purchase an extended warranty with Home Depot. Whirlpool did replace the top door. Thought that took care of it. Today one year and two weeks out of warranty, I again notice rust on both doors. Called Whirlpool. They said too bad out of warranty, not considering I had a previous report of this very same issue. So since I am very unsatisfied with this result and the fact that an expensive product is rusting, I decided to share to try to prevent someone getting stuck. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust which leads me to believe that it is not Stainless steel, but a Stainless Steel finish and not a very good one. So I am stuck with a rusting $1200.00 refrigerator only after one year. I have always purchased Whirlpool, but no more. They lost a 40-year customer. I have always bought American made but no wonder people are not buying American made any longer. TO SUM IT UP WHIRLPOOL STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES RUST! DO NOT BUY!

Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set bought 5/25/2012 - The washing machine started beeping during the drain cycle and I have to reset it. After messing with it for around 30 minutes I can finally get it to drain. Then last night the dyer started making a loud squeal. I called and it is not under warranty anymore, so I have to flip the bill. My last $75.00 set from a church sale lasted 15 years. I paid $1,331 and this is the worst piece of crap I have ever bought. Lowes will not fix the problem when there is 1000s of complaints. I would have never paid this much, if I knew it wasnt going to last!UPDATED ON 05/15/2015: Whirlpool sent out Appliance Hospital to diagnose the problems. The washing machine needs a new tub, seals, circuit boards, drain motor etc and the dryer needs everything + an idler pulley because the original one disintegrated. The part they want me to buy is the same one that already failed. The cost to fix it, is over the amount I paid. REALLY? Somebody needs to do something to help the consumers. WRF989SDAM00 - We spent about $1800 on a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator and at 1.5 years we had to replace the compressor for $700+. Apparently Whirlpool will only warranty for 1 year. The repairman told me the compressor he was putting in is exactly the same model as the bad one he took out so I guess I am not surprised that it only has a 1.5 year working range. We are now 1.5 years into the new compressor and sure enough it is dying again. Now it sounds like a jet plane taking off. By the time I replace it again I could have bought a new refrigerator. I am trying to figure out if this refrigerator is on recall because I cant keep replacing the compressor every 1.5 year. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product. I just bought a new home, and it came with what was described as top of the line Whirlpool appliances. The Cabrio toploading washer worked for two loads then just stopped. After arguing with Customer Service for a while (They insisted this must be an installation error.), I talked with the builders. They gave me a different customer service number. My second call got me a repair appointment, during which the repairman discovered that the pump was in fact dead. Because this is a new model, they didnt have a replacement on hand. So, I will have to wait an additional week and a half before the part is installed. This is a product that retails for around $1000, and it lasted less than one day. My last washer cost $400 and was still running fine when I sold it after 10 years. I can already see the handwriting on the wall. After 6 years, Our $2500 Whirlpool refrigerator stopped cooling and would not dispense ice. Since we had purchased a Whirlpool extended warranty, a Whirlpool authorized technician replaced the compressor and informed Whirlpool it also required a new door that included an ice dispenser. A door was not available so Whirlpool refused additional repair and refunded the $400 purchase price of the warranty. Meanwhile the refrigerator stopped cooling again and Whirlpool refused any additional obligation. The refrigerator was now non-functional and we had to spend $3500 to get a comparable refrigerator. The moral: 1) Whirlpool makes very expensive refrigerators that have about 30% of the life-span compared to earlier vintage refrigerators. 2) They know this and will promptly refuse to warrant their product if it is to their benefit. Shame on you Whirlpool for using your corporate leverage and shady business practices to manipulate your customers.

Purchased this 27 cubic ft French door bottom freezer fridge (WRF757SDEM01) in Sep 2016. Approximately 8 months after, fridge stopped cooling. Called Whirlpool for service diagnosis since fridge was still under warranty. Service tech stated coils were freezing over due to part malfunction and part needed to be replaced and ordered. He provided me with a temporary fix by defrosting all the ice from the coils since the part would take approximately two weeks to come in. I spent an entire day of annual leave from my place of employment for this service call!!! New part was replaced and fridge was cooling like it was supposed to.Here again six months after the part replacement, my fridge was doing the same thing again; NOT COOLING my food AND there was this awful noise coming from the area in which the part was replaced. That drove me CRAZY to the point I would turn it off in short increments to maintain my sanity. I called whirlpool AGAIN, and this time, my fridge is NOW out of warranty, BUT, the replacement part of five months prior should still be in warranty. My fridge failed the day after Thanksgiving and five days after the fact, the service tech will be at my house again.Worst part of this is I took an entire day off work expecting the service tech to come between 8-12 as told to me by the whirlpool customer service rep and guess what? The company called at 1000 and said they only do appointments in my area in the evenings. I was furious; again another day of employment missed at the hands of Whirlpool. I am not confident that the same part that was replaced in May is defective and I may be going through spouts of an inoperable fridge again and again. Whirlpool really needs to take a hard look at recalling these fridges OR providing quality appliances for the money that we pay. I had GE appliances in my old house and NEVER had issues with the refrigerator. My new builder choose whirlpool and made the wrong choice! Purchased this oven in September 2012. Three months in, we tried to use the self-cleaning feature and blew a thermal link (guessing terminology). Tech came out and got the oven open and that was his determination. Also said he would replace both the front and the rear one because it was pretty common that if one was bad the other would probably follow. Said hed have it within a because he had to order it from the factory. I called a week later because no revisit had been scheduled and found out that the factory also did not have the part and was sending me a new unit. Whirlpool was supposed to call and tell me that and did not. It would be another week. Then a few more days for them to come out and replace it and pick up the original unit. Now I have brand new unit again so we tried the self-cleaner. Same issue. To make a long story short I called again this morning and scheduled yet another service call because the oven is inoperable again after running the self-cleaner. This is the 4th time with the replacement oven. They have replaced the thermal units several times and have replaced the fan.Fortunately, when I complained vehemently about the original unit, Whirlpool gave me a one year extended warranty on the replacement so I am still under warranty, which, if youre dumb enough to buy a Whirlpool after reading this, I would advise paying for. If you already have one and are having similar issues, call Whirlpool and insist they give you one for free because they sell junk. This time I told the nice customer service lady that, since the holidays are over and I can get by without the oven, I am going to run the self-clean right after the tech leaves. When it blows and gets repaired again I am going to repeat the process until they refund my money or send me something that works. Whirlpool apparently doesnt care because in their agreement with their service companies they only have to pay for the first visit. After that they just supply parts. I will keep doing this until I run out of service companies in Denver. Then I am going to pay for another extended warranty when this one ends in September 2014 and continue the process.Wake up Whirlpool!! If these units fail consistently at high altitudes (which every tech that has come out here has mentioned as an issue) then fix the problem or quit selling it in these areas.

Bought this refrigerator in 2018 and ice maker went out 2x, then compressor went out and waited 4 weeks for part. Now the refrigerator is broken again and not cooling. Dozens of other reviews indicate the same issue with this model. It’s clearly a defective model. Customer service in Tennessee are very friendly but my refrigerator is still not working. Do NOT buy this washing machine. It looks nice but that is all. My elderly parents bought this washing machine based on the past experiences with Whirlpool but the quality of the product has changed. This machine constantly errors and does not allow them to wash clothes. I have followed the instructions in the manual to try and clear the errors. I ended up calling Whirlpool and the response I got was... It will be anywhere from $80 to $125 for someone to come out and look at it. This is a product which should not stop working after 2 years. I guess Whirlpool only stands by their products for a year because they think it is only built for a years worth of service. I wish I had better things to say because the previous Whirlpool machine lasted over 20 years.

Chris from Whirlpool contacted me the same day that I filed my complaint. He offered to replace our water heater at no charge. We will pick up our new water heater this weekend and install it. Hopefully, it is designed better than our current water heater.

Overall the stove works well but it is horrible to clean. You have to use a lot of muscle to get the spills up from around the burners. It is hard to get around the burners to get all the spots off. The gas burners work well & cook evenly.

We purchased our Duet in July 2010. It worked great until two weeks ago when the washer sounded like a 40-year-old washer. The bearing sounds like an extremely high-pitched “wrr”. We can hear it in the back of the house. I looked online to get parts and noticed that you cannot replace the bearing. You must replace the entire rear drum ($358.00). This does not include the labor. I talked with a technician, and they said the whole drum must be removed, not a one-man job, and to take the whole thing apart. Now, theres no price for installation. Lets go low ($200.00). Probably more. I cannot get a price nailed down without a visit. Now add those together ($558.00), I could put almost $600.00 into a washer that this could happen to in another 2 years. Wow.We had a washer that lasted us 15 years without any parts. Is there anything that you can do to help me? This is totally outrageous. Please help. Thank you. This was part of my chat to Whirlpool. Whirlpools response was I understand your problem but cannot help you. It is out of warranty. No help, no discount, nothing. I will and have all my friends never to purchase Whirlpool. This is from a so-called American company. Im very disappointed.
