Whirlpool WFE720H0AS0 - I tried to use the self cleaning oven feature and it cleaned the bottom of the stove but did nothing for the sides, back and door of stove. The top of the stove is impossible to keep clean. Maintaining this appliance is a full-time job. Very bad choice.

We have tried to have our refrigerator fixed 3 times. Same problem every time ice build up in the freezer. Clearly after reading all the reviews Whirlpool has made a very poor quality of a product and they dont care. Hopefully others will read these reviews and learn that its not worth it to buy a Whirlpool.

We purchased a mid-grade Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher a little over 2 years ago. 14 months in, the motor failed, requiring a $295.00 repair/replacement. That was nine months ago, and now the motor has failed again. That is outrageous! No more expensive repairs on this piece of junk. Its going to the scrap heap. We just ordered a Frigidaire. While I have no experience with that brand, it cant possibly be as bad as Whirlpool.

We have had them for about 3 weeks now and now the display on the microwave just stop working. I just cant believe this. Its going to be a real pain now to remove this and replace it. Has anybody else had this problem and I wonder if its even covered under its warranty.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio about 3 years ago. Have never really like it. It doesnt add enough water to the wash cycle unless you use the bulky setting, which fills the tub up the entire way, so wastes water. It would have been nice to choose your water level like you could on the old machines. Now it wont drain completely and wont spin totally. Ive tried using the drain/spin cycle 2-3 times extra and it still wont spin all the water out. Ive noticed that there is still water in the drum, you can hear it slosh when you move the drum, so I wonder - has anyone ever been told there is a filter in there somewhere that might be clogged keeping it from draining completely? My husband thinks that maybe all the water in the bottom of the drum is not letting it spin because its throwing it off balance. And yes, it stops before the cycle is complete and just sits there and blinks and you have to unplug it to clear the cycle. What a pain. We will never again buy a Whirlpool and I absolutely do not recommend Whirlpool washers. I have a Maytag as well and have not yet had problems with it. Bought it at the same time we bought the Cabrio (2 households). At least the water levels in the Maytag are a little more normal. You can wash more than 1 pair of jeans and get them clean in the Maytag. For those of you with the problem of the clothes not smelling clean - try running the clean cycle with a cup of bleach about once a week. No clothes in it - just a cup of bleach in the bleach dispenser and nothing else. Works for us.

Whirpool Cabrio Washer - Do not buy this washer. Clothes are not clean. They are twisted with residue still trapped in the wadded up mess. Even if you select deep water clean, your clothes will still have the same dirty marks on them as when they went in. Also, there is no spin cycle. If youve got a bunch of wet towels you just want to spin the water out, you can forget it. You will have to do a complete wash. And the 1 star is not even appropriate but there is no choice of a big fat zero. Wasted a lot of money on this when Ive had great luck with Kenmore.

I purchased a refrigerator 7 yrs ago. I paid over $1800 on sale for it. Now it needs repairs, it already cost me $89 just to have the tech look at it and he said it will cost $300 to $500 to fix it on top of the service call and now he informs me that it will take at the very least until February or March before he gets the part. I contacted Whirlpool and they told me there is nothing they can do, just to work the tech and I said so Im supposed to go without a fridge for 3 months and was told sorry for the inconvenience. So Im thinking they sell me their product, take my money, then brush me off when I ask for help. That is piss poor way to do business.

I saw on the Today Show that my Whirlpool Duet washer, purchased in 2008 was a mold-producing nightmare. We are now part of a class action lawsuit that seeks redress. When I called Whirlpool Customer Service, I was fed the company line that the problem is that we dont clean the machine regularly. The instructions call for monthly maintenance, but the rep said we need to wipe it dry after each use. This is an original defect in the machine that Whirlpool refuses to own up to. We had been Whirlpool devotees for years but will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

It cost me $333 in labor... Should have cost me nothing as far as Im concerned. 2 weeks later, its putting a code up that the hot and cold lines are crossed. Nope, its the whole computer board. Whirlpool again said they will just pay for parts... piece of crap. I paid for the best... Sure didnt get it.

Not even 3 years ago I purchased the very large capacity (5.0 I believe) Cabrio Whirlpool Washer and Dryer top loader set for my family. I have regretted the purchase since the first week. The washer would CONSTANTLY beep during a wash cycle, stopping the process saying it was unlevel. We made every attempt to make sure the load was even all around the basin and that the machine itself was level itself. No matter what we did, it would need to be restarted numerous times during one wash cycle taking sometimes hours to do one load. VERY FRUSTRATING. Now the washer will turn on, but it will not fill with water or start the cycle at all.The dryer has cost us hundreds of dollars in repairs, bringing the repair man to our house on a weekly basis for a while. Every time needing a new part. I have made a complaint on the Whirlpool USA Facebook page letting them know my absolute frustration as a substantial amount of other people have, and every one of the other complaints receives a comment back but mine. Although their complaint got a generic response such as, Im so sorry for your frustration, please email to the address below and we can look into your issue.I called customer service a few times to see if they could help in anyway...even asked if they could supply the parts if I paid for labor, and the answer was a flat NO. Nothing...I paid just about $2500 for this set and about $400 in repairs, and no help and no apology for selling me appliances that have not lasted even a small percentage of my last set that lasted throughout my teenage years into my 30’s. I am severely disappointed and ready to take action more now for the disrespect I feel as a consumer. I do not recommend Whirlpool Appliances AT ALL any longer...as they used to be a household item in every family member’s home. Now my large number of family and friends all know my frustration and will not purchase Whirlpool. I suggest this company do something to redeem themselves, because this is just ridiculous. No one has money to throw away like this. Thank you.

Whirlpool gas range Model#wfg10h0ah1 with aqua lift technology. This is the biggest ripoff that was ever done to me. It say self clean, not it cleans and then you clean. This is fraud plain and simple. I am handicapped and made it very clear to the salesperson that it had to be self cleaning. 4 times I did the clean cycle and I was in shock, I called repair, I thought the self clean was broken. However this is the line they give you over and over, that its not broken. This is working the way it was designed to work. So they made a range that is self cleaning, but no it doesnt do that. For 899.99, I did not deserve to get duped like this.

Before last Thanksgiving (2020) had installers set up this 3 door bottom freezer 2.4K new Whirlpool Fridge. It immediately froze almost half of the goods (big holiday foods). Whirlpool Tech showed up 3 times of 4 appts and could not repair. He said should work and now we froze Christmas Holiday foods. Different company of Whirlpool Tech was here was here twice, second time he ordered 4 parts and as of March 12, 2020, we can only use about half of our 24.7 cu ft fridge. For almost 6 months we have bins in our garage instead of the fridge...now our garage is too warm for bins of food. Whirlpool refuses to confirm this $24K fridge a lemon. We DESERVE more!

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer and dryer a couple of years ago and have disliked the washer from the first wash. I have followed the instructions on how to load the washer which, first of all, takes more time than any other washer I have ever had to load. Second, the clothes come out so wrapped around each other that its almost impossible to separate them. They are wrinkled to the point that the dryer cant even de-wrinkle them, and some have even been damaged. Third, the load doesnt smell fresh even though I have cleaned the washer as instructed. I agree with every negative review I have read on this product, and have been so disappointed with this purchase that I will never buy any Whirlpool product again.

My Whirlpool range, was purchased 14 years ago. It was fine until 2 months ago. I was preparing a meal for a dinner party and the oven went from low baking into Clean mode. (This cant be done by accident, it is many step process to go into clean mode) Locking the door! When I realized what was happening I immediately turned the breaker off but we still could not open the range door. Since the oven had my potato casserole and my Teflon coated cookie sheets inside it started to emit a toxic smell choking all of us inside the house. The unit was too hot to touch so my husband and brother-in-law finally donned gloves and got the range outside. I called Whirlpool the next morning and got the run around as to what type of range it was Kenmore/Whirlpool. Whirlpool finally sent someone out to look at the range and their determination was it caught on fire and melted! The company will not do anything about the unit or all the damage it cause because the range is over 10 years old. But they did not tell me this until I had spent weeks getting estimates and gathering information for them. I TOLD THEM DURING THE INITIAL CALL THE RANGE WAS 14 YEARS OLD. I TOLD THEM THE EXACT DATE IT WAS PURCHASED. Whirlpool sent me a letter from their Claims Resolution Department saying my DISHWASHER will not be covered and misspelling my last name. I have tried to call the person ** at least 25 times and she never answers the phone, only get her voicemail. I just wanted to tell them I was a little concerned about their accuracy with the typing of the name and product..... How complete could the investigation have been if they didnt even get the product correct. The smoke/smell ruined my microwave and ceiling fan. We had to paint the ceiling, redo wallpaper and professionally clean all the carpets and drapes on my first floor (we had just remodeled our kitchen last May so this was an expensive redo not in the budget. Not to mention the cost of a new range). I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool again. And I want to spread the word about the possibility of your range having the same problem.

This company has terrible, deceitful, and pass the buck practices. I purchased a Bravos MCT top loading Maytag washer from Home Depot. Maytag is now owned by or has been acquired by Whirlpool. First I was a little disappointed to learn that because I had previously purchased two Whirlpool made washers and got no more than six years of service out of both them. But from the day this washer was delivered it did not perform as it should. I called and texted with the hours provided for rejection of the washer and was told by a customer service representative that it would be replaced. The main problem was the spin cycle. With only a few clothes in it, it jumped all around and moved so much that it was sitting in the middle of the washroom. Thinking that occurrence was a one time thing, I stopped it; cancelled the cycle; and reset it. It finished the load. This occurrence was reported and simply fell on deaf ears. I was lied to and told a replacement would be made; it was not. I have sent numerous emails and have made several calls for more than a year now and I still have the same defective washer in my home. Each time I emailed, I received a different message from the customer service person. This company wants me to pay for a service call or buy an additional warranty for a defective machine they produced and refuse to honor their replacement policy— which they now say is the responsibility of Home Depot. Luckily I have kept every email and document I was provided. I am being forced to file a claim against this company to get their attention and to remedy this situation. The expense of the claim will be greater the cost of purchasing another machine, but it is this kind of behavior, on the part of A corporate giant, that is makes life tough for everyday people like me. Stay away from the Whirlpool name for washers—even a prior good name brand like Maytag.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Conns Appliances on 2/2/12. It worked fine until about 2 months ago. Then it started freezing food in the refrigerator. We called Conns, and they sent a technician to replace the thermostat. A couple of days later, it was still freezing food. So we called Conns again. They sent a second technician. He called Whirlpool tech support, and they told him to adjust the position of the thermostat sensor. A couple of more days went by, and food was still freezing. The problem had gotten even worse.I called the manager at Conns and suggested that we should consider replacement since the previous 2 technicians were unable to solve the problem. He sent a third technician. Tech #3 called Whirlpool tech support and re-adjusted the sensor. He said there wasnt a lot they could do and that if I wanted to get it replaced, I would need to call Whirlpool.I called Whirlpool Customer Service and explained everything that had happened. They told me they would need to send another technician. I asked why, since 3 technicians had already looked at it. She said there were different levels of service and they would have to send someone from their authorized service company, as if Conns is not authorized. I asked if this problem was common in this model of refrigerator. She said she could research that if I could hold, so I said ok. After being on hold for several minutes, she came back and said she couldnt find any record of this being a repetitive problem.I didnt have a thermometer, and I thought if I had more concrete evidence of the problem, then maybe they would replace the refrigerator. So I put a glass of water in the middle of the top shelf. Within 24 hours, it was frozen solid as an ice cube!Technician #4 came and called Whirlpool tech support. This time, they told him that this had been a problem ever since this model came out and they had a fix that had been on the books since day 1. So the customer service lady obviously lied to me. Technician #4 stuffed a piece of Styrofoam in the hole where the air comes from the freezer into the refrigerator and he re-adjusted the thermostat sensor. I asked if we could just replace the unit and be done with it, but he said we had to wait and see if his fix worked.I went to Ace Hardware and bought a refrigerator thermometer. Two days later, we had frozen strawberries, frozen lettuce, frozen milk, and even the meat and cheese were freezing. My thermometer said temperature was 32 degrees. I called Whirlpool back and insisted that they replace the refrigerator. They told me The unit was not authorized for replacement and they needed a 2nd opinion. I was very angry. I told them there had already been 4 opinions and a 5th wasnt necessary. I wasnt getting anywhere, so I asked for a supervisor. They transferred me to someone named Sue. Sue told me the same thing - not authorized, need a 2nd opinion. I told her that I work at The Mens Wearhouse and that if a customer spent that much money on a suit and had trouble with it, they certainly would not have to bring it back 5 times to have it re-tailored. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She said, Sir, my supervisor doesnt speak to consumers. I could not believe my ears. Where would they be without consumers? I was so mad I hung up on her.Later, I realized I had no options and called to request the 2nd opinion. I was told that the technician could authorize the unit for replacement. They also told me I couldnt get a technician for a week because their technicians were all booked up repairing their faulty products. I had no choice but to wait. I moved my thermometer to the bottom of the refrigerator to see if the temperature was the same there as on the top. The temperature there fluctuated between 28 and 34 degrees. I called Conns to tell them the story, thinking maybe they would go to bat for one of their customers. They told me this should never have happened and that the matter should be escalated to their home office and that a manager would contact me within 30 minutes. He never called. Two days after that phone call, I went to Conns to speak to the manager. I told him the whole story and told him that if Whirlpool would not replace the refrigerator, then I would have no choice but to contact Discover (my payment method for the original purchase) and dispute the charges. I pointed out that even though it should be Whirlpool paying for it, his store would take the hit if Discover reversed the charges. He called someone and told me a Conns service manager would contact me within 48 hours.More waiting. Technician #5 came. I told him he was to authorize the unit for replacement. He said he couldnt do that and that Whirlpool tells all their customers that just to get them off the phone. He re-adjusted the temperature sensor and left. I was livid. Now the problem went the other way. The temperature wouldnt go below 50 degrees. We filled an ice chest with food and ice and began living out of it. The Conns service manager called and said he would have to send a technician. This would be #6. I was very angry with the service manager and called Discover to dispute the charges. Discover opened an investigation, sent a letter to Conns (and maybe Whirlpool, Im not sure) and issued a credit to my credit card account.#6 came and re-adjusted the thermostat sensor. The next morning, he called to see how it was doing. The temperature was still around 50 degrees. He wanted to come and adjust it again. I told him to get the unit replaced! So he submitted paperwork to request a replacement. He called back and said that he felt sorry for us because he knew we had a 3-month-old baby in the house. Since the replacement had been requested, Conns wouldnt pay him to come again; but he said he would come on his own time, on his lunch break, and readjust the sensor in hopes that it would get us by while we waited for a replacement. He said it might take 3-4 days to get the replacement. I told him he could come, so this was technical visit #7. He adjusted the sensor. The next day, the temperature was still 50 degrees.I called the service manager at Conns to confirm that they had requested the replacement. He said the paperwork was submitted, that the home office would review it, make a decision, and that we should know something in a couple of days. That was on Wednesday. On Monday afternoon, I called him again. He said the paperwork wasnt submitted to home office until Saturday and that he was expecting to hear from them by end of day Tuesday. In the meantime, we were still living out of an ice chest.I had already determined that Whirlpool wasnt going to help me, and now, Conns was giving me the runaround. That afternoon, I was working on a project at work with a lady who was fairly new in our company. Turns out she used to work at the Conns home office and she knew people in high places there. She called a VP on my behalf. The next morning, I got a call from the VP telling me that I could get a replacement. I dont think I would have gotten my replacement if I hadnt bumped into the lady who used to work at Conns.I called Conns store, and they said a credit had been issued and I could come to the store and pick out whatever I wanted up to the amount of the credit. I knew I didnt want another Whirlpool. The selection was very limited, but I found a Frigidaire that I thought might work. Then they told me I would have to pay extra for an ice maker, even though I had bought the ice maker for the Whirlpool that was being replaced. I argued with the manager until finally he agreed to give me the ice maker, delivery, and installation.Yesterday, Conns called to tell me they were coming in the afternoon to install the refrigerator. They had the audacity to ask me what was the matter with the unit they were replacing! They did come and replace the unit. But wait...Thats not all! This morning, the ice maker had not made any ice, even after running all night long. Conns sent a technician today, and he said all of the parts were not installed and it was preventing proper water flow. He is coming back on Tuesday to install the missing parts. So we still arent done. I dont know if Im more angry with Whirlpool or with Conns. Whirlpool did not honor their warranty and Conns got stuck with it. But then Conns provided poor service too. I got stuck in the middle, and it still isnt fully resolved.

I purchased a Whirlpool oven/range from Lowes in September 2016. It was working ok until the convection fan stopped working. I purchased the extended warranty for 3 years but the oven stopped working in December (3 months past the extended warranty). When I contacted Whirlpool to complain about the horrible product they have been selling to people, all they could do was suggest a repair company that charges $99 to come out and diagnose the problem. DO NOT BUY any whirlpool appliances. The name brand used to signify quality but the appliances they sell now will not last. BTW I may have used the convection function maybe once per month over the past 3 years ... So its not like I over used the oven.

This washer is less than a year old. From the start it was horrible. I was told to call a repairman who came and charged me $200 and still the thing doesnt work. I have never hated an inanimate object like I hate this machine. Oh, and the dishwasher also made by Whirlpool and also new, leaks! I will never ever ever buy anything made by this company. It should be a crime punishable by imprisonment to sell such garbage. But they keep offering me service contracts for $395 to come take a look. Thieves.

We purchased the Whirlpool double oven gas range from Lowes in July of 2014
We purchased the Whirlpool double oven gas range from Lowes in July of 2014. The oven heat that boils out onto the stove top when you use either oven makes it difficult to handle the pots on the range top. The first time I used both ovens at the same time the plastic front to the control panel started to melt and the fumes were horrible. It was under warranty so Whirlpool replaced it with an identical panel that also melted when I used the top oven and range top at the same time. Its out of warranty so Whirlpool says its not their problem. From reading these other complaints it is obvious to me that customer satisfaction is not important to Whirlpool - just that profit margin. Build cheap - sell high should be their motto.

We purchased this washer in 2017, its the top loading Cabrio washer and it has been nothing but junk since day one. Purchased from RC Wiley in Boise and unfortunately did not buy the extended warranty because we trusted that this American company would make a washer that would last longer than 3 yrs. This washer barely washes clothes, leaves a residue on them since there is no agitator, also constantly gets unbalanced or gives and error of LF which means water supply issue when there isnt one. My 15 yr old about has a heart attack when he uses the quick setting and his clothes arent done in an hour and a half. Ive even resorted to turning the thing on to just rinse and spin so things get done sooner, still the stupid washer just sits. I would sell it but I dont want to pass on the pain, so its going to the dump to or to Goodwill cause its not worth the headache. Too bad you cant trust an American company to make a good product. Sad I really wanted to like this washer.

I purchased refrigerator in 2010 through Sears. The freezer door began collapsing (like the air was being sucked out) and Whirlpool sent a replacement. I should have known at that point - they had over 20 in stock instead of making it to order with a several week wait as the rep expected. I complained again (out of warranty for the refrigerator, but less than a year for the replacement door) and was given the too bad, so sad - next question routine. Now the freezer wont hold frozen food. If I turn up the dial, I end up with frozen lettuce, etc. So much for Whirlpool! Im not so much angry at this point as I am talky - at the grocery store to perfect strangers, at church, etc. Im disappointed that Consumers didnt respond - they still rate Whirlpool fairly high - makes me doubt Consumers, too.

I have replaced this door once and now the second door has done the same exact thing - formed these hairline cracks in the door frame. This is a defective product and needs to be taken care of by Whirlpool. But you keep denying the problem. No one can afford to replace a door every year. The microwave still works, but the door has fallen apart. The remainder of the microwave works fine.

It seems it may cost more than previous one.I heard that these service engineers are taking the previous my board / replaced board. They are repairing it and sold it again and again so the quality of the board is question mark. As a customer I / we cannot spend money and change board every year. I just want everyone to think twice before you go to Whirlpool Washing Machine & its products. I had a same kind of poor quality issue with even water purifier too. Consequences - I have spent Rs. 10000 already, it is loss for me beside the buying cost of the products.

My parents 89 and 76 years old bought a Whirlpool fridge a few months ago. A month after purchase fridge built up moisture terribly. Water was laying inside so much seeping on floor. We called, Whirlpool sent serviceman out. Serviceman number 1 put some kind of black tape in the door saying it was the seal. We were just disgusted over this and it didnt work. We called again, serviceman number 2 came out, said bad door, so he ordered door. Serviceman number 3 came out, replaced door. Moisture still in fridge, food isnt staying cool, and you can physically still see gap indoor. We called again. Serviceman number 4 came out and said fridge is not level due to floor in house. But nothing wrong with floor in house. This serviceman pushed on fridge said to my 89 year old dad and 76 year old mother and I quote, Put a piece of wood under this side of fridge. We will not replace this fridge. Now mind the fridge was delivered and set up by Lowes. So now this brand new fridge is no good and we have had no help whatsoever to fix this problem. So my parents whom have been married for 62 years with 5 grown children, 16 grandchildren, a 36 greatgrandchildren and 1 great great grandchild have promised none of us will ever look at another Whirlpool anything much less purchase a whirlpool appliance. Just for the simple fact of how a multi trillion dollar company will not stand behind their warranty nor name. We are disgusted with the whole situation. This is the worst experience any of us have ever had. So no I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone for the simply fact of the way my parents have been so disrespected by this company. Its horrible to know this kind of behavior is even allowed for employees to disrespect people. The Whirlpool fridge is warped, damaged from the time it was built. The warranty I hold in my hand says and I quote after 3 visits and problem not fixed fridge will be replaced.Well Whirlpool has been out 4 times and has refused to replace it. This couple has worked hard all of there lifes, lives on a fixed income and has just threw away money on a Whirlpool fridge they cant use. So now we have are in the process of hiring a lawyer. Its the principle of Good Vs Evil with Whirlpool. How whirlpool has refused to stand behind the Whirlpool warranty. So Like I said earlier I would never recommend buying any product that has anything to do with whirlpool. Shame on Whirlpool just shame on them.

This Whirlpool, two door, refrigerator with ice maker & water, replaced a very poor quality 'LG' refrigerator which had stopped working. The company, "LG" was not interested in learning what the problem was but was only interested in making sure we understood the fee for an "LG" repair person to come out. The set fee was a minimal of $150.00 without any repairs. We decided to toss the LG and went to our local Home Depot and purchased our Whirlpool that same day, on sale! In November 2014, I purchased a Whirlpool 22 cu ft side by side refrigerator from my local appliance store. During that short time, there have been 4 instances where the ice clumps together and gets stuck, causing a large amount of ice to dump inside the freezer door. When the door is opened, the ice falls out onto the floor. I usually spend 10 minutes picking up ice and wiping up my kitchen floor. I have had the local store repairman over. He told me that was normal. Two things are seriously wrong with that statement. When I spend 1600.00 for a brand new appliance, I should be able to depend on the fact that it will function in at least a somewhat acceptable manner. Additionally, that statement by the repairman convinced me that he was not really interested in fixing the problem. I really dont think the normal operation of a new appliance is for it to make frequent, large messes for the owner to clean up. This appliance is junk and you would be foolish to purchase it. Spend a bit more money and buy a Samsung or LG. Save yourself the frustration and sense that you have been cheated and deceived by Whirlpool. I will never buy this brand again.

November 4, 2017 we purchased a 2018 Tiffin RV with a Whirlpool 3-door refrigerator/freezer. We did not use the RV refrigerator until our first trip to Florida January 2018. Immediate problems with the freezer icing up on freezer door and icing up in the top 2 shelves of refrigerator. Milk, fruit, even cheese froze in the top of the refrigerator. Bottom freezer door froze so bad I had to yank on the drawer very hard to even get it open & chunks of ice would fall off the door on the floor outside once it opened. Called Whirlpool warranty service phone number two times 2/16/2018. I wont go into all the details but we were on hold for a 90 minutes and were transferred 7 times by the automated system. Talked to one person, Lindsey, who immediately transferred me again to RV Dept. No one ever answered. System kept saying, Please wait. Then just disconnected and another recording came on saying to call back. We did not after this fiasco! February 19, 2018 we called Tiffin MH & told them about the NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from Whirlpool. They told us to call Sears in Sebring, FL. We did. If we wanted Whirlpool service to bring the motorhome to them & the warranty only covered parts NOT labor or service calls. They did not want to work on it. March 13, 2018 We went to Tiffin MH Service in Red Bay, AL. Earl called Whirlpool tech, Steve, & tried to explain the problem. Steve told him he did not talk on speaker phone & told him very hatefully to put him on the private line. Steve just very angrily insisting that Earl had him on speaker phone. I do not understand Whirlpools Steve issue with being on speaker phone? Finally Earl got him to listen to our refrigerator problems as he stood there at the refrigerator going through each issue step-by-step. Steve said to put silicon in the seal & that Whirlpool WOULD NOT replace a 3 month old refrigerator that actually had only been used 2 months. We found out later Tiffin is going to replace the refrigerator.

I have a 4.5year old Cabrio washer. Ive replaced the water pump 3 times due to a weak plastic part which keeps blowing out due to pressure. Now, the unit is leaking rusty, black fluid from the bottom. I purchased it at HH Gregg in Indianapolis, In. Svs tech called. They have never seen this on such a new unit. Parts and labor will equal $400.00. Calling whirlpool customer care did nothing. I offered to pay the labor of $100, If they would be willing to pay for parts. Electric hot water heater model E40H6-45-100 - Purchased at Lowes. Husband
Electric hot water heater model E40H6-45-100 - Purchased at Lowes. Husband installed, tank filled, no hot water coming through house lines. Called support center several times after trying each recommendation that did not work. They kept saying it was a plumbing problem. My husband is very smart when it comes to electrical and plumbing. He has done numerous repairs to our homes over the last 30 years we have been married. He knows what he is talking about and told the support tech that he believed it was a faulty water heater. She immediately said the units are all tested before they leave the factory. The final step was to remove the nipple that the hot water flows through out of the tank and remove the two black bellows. Now my husband can see directly through the piece but also decides to put his finger through the the open whole on the top of the tank and cannot get his finger through - it is blocked. He gets a flashlight and a screw driver. Puts the screw driver through a thin plate that was blocking where the water should be coming through. He can now actually see the water in the tank. This was the whole problem! So they could not have tested this tank. They did give us a ref number to take parts back to store to replace parts we already bought and cannot use. Its the time and energy on whats suppose to be an easy job that counts. Will not recommend Whirlpool products to anyone and probably will not purchase any in the future. Ours was not as bad as most of the other reviews I read but wanted to advise others who may think about what brand to purchase.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Refrigerator less than 3 years ago. The last couple of weeks the freezer hasnt been keeping cold enough. We lost about $300 worth of food in it. The refrigerator section isnt keeping as cold as it should. I call Whirlpool, but didnt have a warranty, so if I paid more money we could have a warranty and get it fixed. Who has that kind of money. When we purchased our appliances we thought we were buying good quality appliances. That sure isnt the case. They should last way longer than less than 3 years.I called where we purchased it from. Had the service man come out. There are four major parts that are wrong with it. $800 plus at least 3 hours of labor. Not worth that. Again who can afford such money as this. I called Whirlpool again. They could give me money off a new fridge but it would still cost almost $1600. Im so unhappy with the appliances. We also have a stove and that doesnt work right either. I believe that we should be compensated way more than they are offering. I would not buy another Whirlpool again. I will make sure people know that it isnt good quality. Im so sad. Who would have thought. It is time that the people at the top of the company think of those lower than they are. The people I spoke to on phone were very kind. I know they really cant do much. We replaced our dishwasher today with another brand. Many of the tines on the drying rack had rusted and broken off. We have been told to only purchase Nylon racks. I hope this is good advice. I bought a Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer in September 2013 and washer is already broken. It leaks out the front of the front loading door (yes, I clean it as advised, including leaving door open to air dry etc). I am a retired senior citizen and my wife and I spend 6 months of the year in Florida so the washer has barely been used since we are barely home and its not like we are trying to wash load after load of heavily soiled items daily. I would not recommend this product at all!! The repair people said it would cost approximately $300 to fix and offered a plan to fix it for $350 with a 1 year warranty. Why should I bother to do either if I will have to do same after 1 year? This machine is barely used and broke?! The customer service people were not helpful and seemed only interested selling me the repair plan to fix what should not need fixing. So, to recap - I bought the machine in 9/13 then went to Florida from 10/13 to 4/14 (so it was used 1 month). Then, it was used from 4/14 until 10/14 (6 months). I returned from Florida this year in April 2015 and it started leaking in June 2015 (2 months). So, my machine has been used for a grand total of 9 months and it is already broken!!! Stay far away. Whirlpool should come and replace this machine for us for free if they care anything about customer service and senior citizens but clearly they do not. In Florida we have an old Sears Kenmore machine that has lasted for over 20 years!!

This Cabrio washing machine is really frustrating....... It goes off balance all the time. It does not matter if you have a full load or partial load, I know it has a tendency to go off balance, so I try to put the clothes in evenly. BUT it doesnt matter, it goes off balance. When the washer is downstairs, it gets to be a pain. The lid lock is a pain also. If you forget to put something in the machine, you hit pause button then you have to wait forever until it unlocks, and wait forever to unlock when it goes off balance. When it doesnt go off balance, it washes everything just fine. But if I knew what I know now about it, I would have never bought it....... I would recommend a different washer and check the reviews, which I didnt do. :(

The W/D combo-Cabrio is crap... Dont buy it. Salesperson @ Lowes told us all washers moving away from the agitator to ones like this so we bought it. The washers does not clean everything - does not use enough water to clean - leaves your delicates so wrinkled and clothes in general beat up. The dryer decides when it thinks your clothes are dry when they are actually still very wet... very noisy. Whirlpool must have sold out because quality integrity sure is gone.

My whirlpool duet was extremely quiet the first few times I used it and seemed to work well. Then I noticed that it randomly drained the clothes but didnt spin them, it did it on different cycles, and I would have to run the load again on spin and drain, another 19 minutes of run time. After a week it began to make metal scrapping sounds on the spin cycle and vibrated to the point that it moved the pictures on my walls. I called Whirlpool customer service and they authorized a service call. In short, the service man was very confrontational told me there was nothing wrong and charged me $72. It still vibrates and randomly doesnt spin. But now after he took it apart it sounds like a jet engine when it does spin. Whirlpoolss response after repeated calls? Not a new machine, but another service call......

Its now Nov 8 and Ive been officially dealing with this issue since Sept 26. This washer was installed in a new home. After less than 10 loads, my washer stopped draining and I was left with a load of towel soup for over a week while waiting for a service call. I still have the same defective non functioning washer sitting in my home and have been unable to do laundry at home in all that time. So far Ive spoken with 2 customer service representatives. The first was incapable of scheduling a service call. She clearly did not understand how to operate the database used for scheduling. I was finally able to schedule appointment on my own but had to wait a week before the technician was able to come by. It was determined that either the latch mechanism or the mother board or both are defective from the factory. The second was just plain dismissive and completely unhelpful. I sat on hold for about an hour each time before getting to speak to a person. Ive also received two canned emails in response to my poor review of this washer on the Whirlpool website. They basically blame COVID for the delays and state the parts delivery should take 3-4 weeks. I was originally told 14 working days for delivery of the parts. We are already past both deadline with no end in sight. At this point, Id like the defective washer replaced rather than repaired. And for the record, this was a new washer (less that one month old) installed in a new house that now stinks to high heaven because slimy, scummy water that will not drain out has been there since September 26. Id really just like for someone at Whirlpool to honestly care about this and take a moment to address this issue.

The Whirlpool range #GY398LXPQ00 is four years old. This is the fourth major problem. Oven overheats and will not function. I set it at 350 and the bottom coil and broiler both came on and overheat quickly. This is the third time with same problem. I am going to have enough invested in repairs to buy another range. I shall never purchase another item made by Whirlpool or any of its affiliates. That leaves me with Samsung or Bosch, I think. The people are very curt and offered no help at all so calling them is extremely useless. This range is definitely a lemon. Too bad, there arent avenues to make them replace it. I am angry, disappointed, and disgusted. Are you listening, Whirlpool? Never again. May your company go down the drain.

I purchased a Whirlpool gas stove model #WFG540H0AH from Sears in March 2103. Since that time, the oven has repeatedly broken. After two major repairs, the repair company said the fas venue (?) suspect board was defective and needed to be replaced by the manufacturer. After 3 weeks of back and forth calls with Whirlpool customer service, the only solution they provided was for me to purchase a new stove at a discount with no compensation for installation, the gas connection kit, or haul-away of the old appliance. The original stove cost me $1100 including the installation, haul-away and taxes. The replacement option would have cost me $800 and still did not included haul-away, the gas installation kit, or taxes. Hardly an affordable solution. Whirlpool at no time addressed that a part on the stove was deemed defective.

I purchase a Cabrio WTW7800XW0 3/28/11. After the year warranty I started to notice sand like substance in the drum of the washer, which lead me to look around the drum. I noticed that the light was completely rusted and flaking, the area around the light was rusted as well. I call customer service at which time they said it was not warrantied, but they sent me out a new light. This did not repair the problem! The rust has continued causing the area around the lid joint to break. Also the area around the bleach dispenser is showing rust- the same side as the light and the lid break. They have said this is not covered and only agreed to pay 1/2 of cost of materials (no service).

Our dishwasher stopped working after 13 months. We are a family of 2 and use it once a week. We called Whirlpool and were told since it is past 12 months, they would do nothing but give us the name of a repairman in the area. We called our own repairman and $120 later, the sensor that had malfunctioned was replaced. Quite costly on a $450 dishwasher. Now, after 15 months, the handle on the lower broiler portion of my Range has come off and the screws will not hold because the plastic around them deteriorated. I just called customer service once again, knowing what I would be told and YES was told So sorry, nothing we can do. A new handle will be $45 plus shipping. We bought the refrigerator at that same time and every day, I wait for this appliance to have issues. In summary, Whirlpool/Maytag appliances are obviously made to be disposable after 12 months. They do not stand behind their products and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Do not under any circumstance end up with the Whirlpool fabric washer and or dryer in your dwelling to wash and dry your clothes. The washer, model # WTW7000DW0 and dryer, model # WED7000DW0. I am so upset with these units and the company I bought a 5 year extended warranty thru. I cannot put down in words what I think, because this review would not be published. Do not even accept these units, even if they are free. Even the repairmen who have been here said they would not buy these Whirlpool junk washer and or dryer series. They acknowledged the problem and said nothing could be done even though there is a legitimate problem. Not only is there a problem with the washer, the dryer as well has serious issues. All washes have to be put on the deep water cycle and some loads have totally dry spots on clothes where the clothes did not even get wet after the washer went thru the complete cycle. Also, get this, this washing machine even has to be cleaned itself with a cleaning tablet run thru a cleaning cycle. What happens are the clothes get a nasty, slimy, white muck on them. Even, immediately after the washer gets cleaned, sometimes the clothes 32nd up with this muck on them again. If you do not see this muck on your clothes before putting in the junk dryer, then the clothes have to be washed and dried again. This washer is supposed to be efficient, not a chance. It gets costly having to purchase the cleaning tablets and the washer(28th only two people in the household) has to be cleaned a lot more than what the manufacturer says and I called and asked. Pure junk, do yourself and even your enemies a favor, stay away at any cost, and like I said, even if they are free.

I had my old agitating washer for 8 yrs that went out. I liked Whirlpool so decide to try their washer. Found the Cabrio washer (SWS5000WO) and thought without the agitator it would give me more room for clothes to wash better. Boy was I wrong, no matter what cycle or what size load it is off balance on the very first spin. I have to stay near by to stop the washer before the first spin adjust the load and start over again. Jeans and towels are impossible to clean. It throws the tub so bad it has pushed the side out. I have checked the balancing rods and they are fine. After reading other complaints realize the Cabrio washers are terrible. I will be looking for a refurbished washer with an agitator and doubt I will buy Whirlpool again. They should have a recall on these machines. They are terrible.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7340XW sounds like a small jet during spin cycle
Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7340XW sounds like a small jet during spin cycle. The Whirlpool Cabrio Washers have a very well known and well documented problem with the tub bearings failing. Many many disgruntled owners have posted their complaints online, and there are many videos showing the issue on youtube. This issue is so prevalent that the manufacturer has created a tub bearing failure repair kit for $350. The repair is so expensive and labor intensive that many of the certified Whirlpool repair shops no longer work on the Cabrio washer stating that a better washer can be purchased for the cost of this repair. That said, the manufacturers customer service group denies that the Cabrio tub bearing failures is a common problem and are quick to state that Whirlpool holds no liability for this problem. Ramping the complaint up to a customer service supervisor is met with the same canned response. Regardless of the thousands of complaints Whirlpool is claiming that it is normal wear and tear for the tub bearings to fail. The manufacturer should recall the units for this manufacturing defect in the Cabrio design.

We purchased a Whirlpool washer model WTW7500 in November of 2017. I found the clothes were not getting clean and also noticed that even after a full wash some parts of the clothing or sheets had dry spots! I checked all connections and called for service. As soon as the serviceman saw the machine he said, “yes, that’s a problem with those machines”. They are low water/water saving as per some American regulation and that’s what happens... you’re going to have to live with it. He also suggested running an extra rinse and using “deep water” function. I did this and it made very little difference except now a wash cycle for bedding is 104 minutes! Also, still had a big dry spot on my sheets! When I called again to Whirlpool they scheduled another repairman for a second opinion, turned out to be the same person with the same answers... I called Whirlpool again and was informed that my washing machine is working as designed! I argued that a washing machine is designed to wash and clean clothes so this one does not do what it is designed for... I spoke to the supervisor, she was actually just rude, also said I not had 30 days to make a complaint and I was outside of that, when I asked to speak to her supervisor she said there was no one above her although she denied being the owner of Whirlpool! (That’s my little joke). Anyway wish someone had warned me prior to this purchase.

I have many rentals, and for over 39 years have always bought Whirlpool dishwashers for them and my own home. I have noticed over the last 15 years or so they are getting more and more poorly made. First I quit buying the plastic tub ones because they collected mold on the back. Then putting one in a rental, we went through 3 brand new ones that all leaked before we got a good one. Now, I bought the very best for my home 2 years ago, had the pump replaced under warranty due to leaks. Now, the plastic upper rack wheel has snapped off its plastic base. For under 30 dollars you get a replacement kit for it, that is all metal. So why didnt Whirlpool just put in the metal ones and charge a little more. So this will be my last Whirlpool, and all the brands they make. Do your research, many of the name brands you know are all made by Whirlpool.

After 1 year, my fridges plastic interior wall/liner started cracking everywhere. One crack is right across the entire back wall; other smaller cracks are on the sides and back. Three fridge shelves literally fell apart: pieces fell off! The glue came undone on the sides of the shelf that hold the glass in. Pieces of the shelf itself were falling out of the fridge. The microwave door has plastic trim around the glass on the door, and it is cracking also. It seems that anything that was made Whirlpool and is plastic is cracking and/or disintegrating. Sears caulked the cracks in the fridge and is replacing the shelves, but nothing is being done about the microwave. Whirlpool said, Too bad. Go to Sears. We may have made the product, but Sears is responsible. And Sears is saying Too bad; weve done all we can.

We bought a Whirlpool dishwasher (Ser# F21102027MOD, Model# WDF730PAYB2) after reading some of the reports that it was just as good as a Bosch. Wrong! We bought this washer March 17. On May 17, the selector switch and sub control broke down. We had bought this item at the HH Gregg store here, and also purchased a 5-year warranty which they said we cannot use because the dishwasher is only 2 months old. Is there a lemon law? And what makes this worse is that we called Whirlpool on May 18th. They could not get anyone out here until May 25th to look at it. As of this time, they still could not fix it because the two parts had to be ordered. Today is June 1st and the part is still not in? Makes me think, does this part always go down because its on back order? So you are fully warned, do not purchase a Whirlpool. If I can get some extra money, I am throwing it out and buy a Bosch because I dont think it will ever be fixed.

In October of 2014 we purchased our beautiful Whirlpool WRF990slam00 refrigerator from Lowes. We were super happy to have this big beautiful piece of equipment in our kitchen. From the start it ran a little loud but we were assured that this was normal. It seemed to function pretty well until 3 days after the one year warranty ran out. First thing, opened fridge door to a waterfall. Ice machine apparently was no longer working and 2 days later the fridge and freezer both stopped working and blowing warm air.Everything in the fridge and freezer had to be thrown out. I started making calls on November 2nd to see if Whirlpool would stand behind their $2,000 product and make good on repairs. It is now December 17th and we are still without a fridge. Not sure right now what is happening and I am afraid to call as I am sick to death of the whole thing. All I want is a fridge that works! Not too much to ask after spending $2,000. I am saving you the gory details as it would take me 10 pages but I have made SEVERAL calls. I hope to have Whirlpool step up and do the right thing but, I am not going to hold my breath.

My double ovens were locked and I could not open them. A repair man came, undid the latch, but did not have the replacement part. He ordered it and came back two weeks later to replace the latch. I paid the required $159.00 for the service call. In the meantime, I could use the bottom oven without any problem. He replaced the latch and discovered it was defective. In removing it, he damaged the ribbon in the control panel. He came back and put in a new latch, but now neither of the ovens would work because the control panel was inoperative. An attempt was made to order the control panel, but the control panel is no longer made. Instead, an attempt was made to repair the control panel. This took 4 weeks, and meant that I did not have an oven for Thanksgiving and had to totally rearrange my plans. Now I am told that the panel is not fixable and the best they can do is offer me a prorate on a new oven in which I would be charged $1374.00. I find this outrageous. Except for the latch, an easily repaired mechanical problem, the ovens were in excellent working order. Now I am being told that due to the problem caused by their repair person, I must pay $1374.00. In 2013 we thought that we bought a 30 cubic foot refrigerator model no. WRF989SDAM from Appliance Direct, Melbourne, FL. Months later we realized that it was only a 27 cubic foot unit. Two months after the warranty expired the unit started failing. Called the dealer and was told that they would have the service department to call us. Never heard from the dealer again. Finally I called an independent service company. After testing the unit the technician told us that the evaporator may be leaking. They offered to replace it for a price of nearly $500 with only a 90 day warranty. Realizing that it would work at least 90 days after the repair regardless if that was the problem or not.I decided that we did not want to spent that much money. Having refrigerator experience in previous years, I decide to add a piercing valve and adding refrigerant. Every few months I have to add refrigerant to keep the unit going. This unit has run nearly all time since the delivery. Corresponding with Whirlpool is somewhat like throwing a bottle in the ocean. I also noticed that Whirlpool has dropped the price of this unit quite a lot, must be to loss of customers. And yes I am 83 years old and handicapped and never had a problem like this to affect me so much.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot in Nov, 2013. Model is WRF560SEYWOO with water in the door and bottom freezer with ice compartment. This is a very small refrigerator for my very small space. I swear these companies program their appliances to break down exactly 1 month after the warranty is up. Thats what happened to me. Dec 2014 this horrible loud humming noise started. You could hear it out on the sidewalk! Then the door with the water just detached from the bottom and screws and plastic pieces fell out all over the floor. The day the repairman came he noticed all the rubber lining in the doors was detaching and huge chunks were falling off of it. He called to get replacement parts for everything and whatyaknow, all parts for this unit have been discontinued! This is what we did to cope with all these defects. The noise was caused by ice building up around the exhaust fan because the unit had stopped defrosting that area, so every 3 days I have to get out my hairdryer and melt the ice at the back of the unit. Next we MacGyvered the door so that it is resting on the freezer door. Next, he brought in some tape and taped all the pieces of rubber falling off my doors!! This frigging frig cost me $1,653.00!! I called to get it replaced and they said Whirlpool doesnt replace appliances, they just keep servicing it. **! How can they get away with this!

I purchased my brand new gas stove at Lowes in 29 Jun 10. Within the first month, my oven was giving me the error F-2. They came out and replaced the ERG board. Now, just after the warranty had expired, the same problem is happening. When I called them, they told me that I should have purchased the extended warranty. I cant use the oven because I have to unplug the stove every time to get it to stop beeping.

My 5-year-old Cabrio started coming up with error codes, and not draining and spinning the clothes. I called a week ago, they offered me 2 options, one being put $339 on a credit card and that would cover all parts, labor, and a 1 year extended warranty. They charged the credit card immediately for the biggest piece of crap washing machine. Someone came out 2 days later and told me he has worked on a lot of Cabrios but never one in quite that condition. I was led to believe that after charging the credit card, boxes would be arriving with parts to fix it. I called 2 days later to find out the status of when it would be repaired and they told me they already put a credit thru on the credit card because to fix it would be equal to the price of 2 brand new washing machines, and they will do nothing to honor that agreement. So I now have a piece of ** in my laundry room and takes me two days to do a load of laundry. DO NOT BUY THE CABRIO! In fact Im not going with a Whirlpool ever again!

Shortly after the warranty expired my refrigerator started building ice on the floor of the freezer. With the build-up of ice the freezer started leaking on the bottom. Sometimes it gets so bad I have a hard time closing the freezer door properly. The Model# GB9FHDXWS06, Serial# K31505096 of my Whirlpool refrigerator. I do not recommend any Whirlpool product. Do your research before you buy any Whirlpool product.
