Whirlpool French Door Plus 3 drawers: This MSRP $3400 refrigerator has great features. Great ice makers. No issues up top. First 18 months were great. 4 repairs in the past 11 months. All freezer temp issues. We had noticed a number of ice sparkles forming on our unopened food. Frozen fruit was mushy. Temp usually read 0 degrees. One day I opened it and the temp was 40. Two hours later, it was close to 0. I started monitoring it closely. High temperatures occurred around noon. Zero degrees most of the time. After the third repair, service tech called Whirlpool and found part was redesigned. New part didn’t help. We understand the freezer has a heater in it, to defrost. The heater stays on too long. That explains why the freezer temp went as high as 50 degrees, while the fridge was perfect.I purchased this at Lowes. I always buy Lowes extended warranties. Thankfully, they bought back my 30 month old refrigerator. Kudos to Lowes warranty company. Never put on long holds. Fast response. I noticed the price for the warranty on refrigerators in this price range has increased by $100. Reflects a lot of repairs on refrigerator models. One thing though. I learned 3 repairs within a 30 day period is considered one repair, for purposes of their lemon policy. I will also add that the warranty company reimburses you 50% of the cost of filters. Simple process. I have read complaints that they make it too difficult to collect. That is just not true. Have been reimbursed $100 for filters to date. In 5 years, Even at the increased price, the savings will pay for the warranty. No brainer.

I have had my Cabrio set for two years only and the washer has a error code of F6 and E3... pretty much does not work properly and need to swap out main control board which is about 200-300 for the part. I’m very disappointed in this product for as much I have spent on it. My old school top loader lasted longer than this piece of junk! I believe the steam from the wash is going up into the control board and messing it all up! Water and electricity does not mix! Maybe they need to relook at their products. I want my money back!!!

Purchased from Home Depot and self-installed. That part was not too big a deal but after installing this stove we started a journey of irritation, aggravation and general dissatisfaction. This stove has the standard layout for burners that seem to be common to most low-end stoves. Two huge burners in the front, a simmer burner at the right rear and a general purpose burner at the left rear. Thats all wrong for me and our set up. I want a large burner at the left rear and general purpose every place else. Can you alter the standard configuration? NO! Not without some major alterations to the stove top.Next are the grills or cast cooktops (2 each). They are a bit cumbersome when cleaning the stove but doable. The real problem with the grills are Whirlpool decided to save money by skimping on this feature. The grills are not a stable cooking platform for smaller pans and it turns out Whirlpool recommends square pans for this stove. SAY WHAT? I have pans and skillets from my grandparents and they are ALL round. Thats how that stuff is made. ROUND! The grills design is unstable for any round pot, pan or skillet, if its diameter, is 6 or less. Kiss that excellent saucepan goodbye if you have this stove. My current solution is a piece of light expanded steel over the burner areas.Keeping in mind we use Propane as our heating gas. The adjustment of the flame temp on the four burners is non-existent. They all are either on high, medium or low. There seems to be no fine tuning with these burners. At the end of the day go look for something that is NOT a Whirlpool, LP gas range Model #: WFG515S0EW. You will be better served and less irritable with almost anything else. Even a campfire in the yard is a better choice.

Whirlpool provides free replacement parts to repair this design problem but wont pay the service charges to repair their design problem. I purchased a KitchenAid french door style refrigerator (KBFS25EWMS10, SN K31902118) and it leaks water on the kitchen floor. At first I just mopped it up but later discovered they have a design problem in their drain system and water backs up into the freezer dept and eventually on to the floor. Customer Service provides free improved replacement parts for this design problem but wont pay the service charges to have the parts replaced. Simply put, Whirlpool/KitchenAid do not stand behind their product quality, instead they pass the problem and service charge cost for their design problem on to the consumer. Beware of this appliance supplier!

It knotted my clothes up and twisted them to the point that clothes are so badly out of shape, hems are pulled out and some clothing torn. We no longer use the washer. Also, a very bad film all over our clothing. I have just tonight contacted the Whirlpool company as I have made numerous complaints to the business where I bought it to no avail. The day after buying and using once, the store sent a repairman out and he said use it on delicate. I have done that with the same results. I bought my washer in December of 2011. I am hoping Whirlpool contacts me. If not, we can contact the state attorney generals office, Consumer Affairs and our main TV station to make complaints. I do not have photos as I did not know I would need them. I am giving Whirlpool a chance to respond in hopes that a remedy is available. Maybe as simple as replacing the agitation device.

On 12-22-13 we purchased a new Whirlpool Washer- Model=Top Loading-WTW4800BQ. We also purchased Lowes extended warranty. Washer was delivered on 12-24-13 around 1:00pm. Connected washer. Washer filled with water. System started but would not wash. 10 minutes later it rinsed and drained but would not go thru wash cycle. We clicked the cancel button for 3-seconds to restart. Same problem. Called Lowes - Lady name Kelly continued to tell us we did something wrong. She would not listen and continued to say its Christmas EVE. Finally the workers came out to check it out around 4:00. Confirmed washer is defective and new washer will be delivered on 12-26-13. Confused as to the label on the machine says made with pride in America. Our 20yr. old Cabrio only lasted two years and went up. Never buy another Whirlpool product!

We hate the matching Cabrio washer dryer bought in 2011: Dryer lower blower
We hate the matching Cabrio washer dryer bought in 2011: Dryer lower blower went out after 18 months in service. The day it went out whirlpool sent me the extended warranty offer. Warranty had expired 6 months prior. I renewed for 12 months and promptly called for a repair. Cost was approximately $450.00, all covered under the newly paid for warranty. I dodged a bullet there. Washer has the splintering fiberglass around the top. Lower bearing is out and sounds like a freight train coming out of the laundry room. Not going to have it repaired. Looking for new units not manufactured by whirlpool. Shameful ROI. No more whirlpool products in our house.

Purchased Refrigerator (WhirlPool Refrigerator WRX988SIBM03) 16 months ago
Purchased Refrigerator (WhirlPool Refrigerator WRX988SIBM03) 16 months ago and noticed the drawer with glass that house the drawers had a crack on the right side. Couldnt believe it was cracked after such little use with just two adults living in the home. Removed it and noticed this was such shoddy design. There is a heavy metal bar in the back with a piece of flimsy plastic that attaches to the heavy metal bar with only a screw attaching the plastic to the metal.I made attempt to glue it since it was only cracked but then the plastic just started crumbling into pieces like a broken cookie. Truly there is something wrong with the quality of the product as well as the design of having this heavy metal bar attached to this flimsy plastic. The quality of this part only leads me to believe what is next with this refrigerator. I am sure there is more to come.I contacted Whirlpool to see if they would replace but of course this is at my cost. Ive had inner parts of refrigerators break over years of use and they get old and busted up over time but this is a new refrigerator and once I inspected the part, I was disappointed with myself for not removing these inner parts and inspecting prior to purchasing. I would have picked up on the poor quality right away. Taken by the outside of this unit and its beauty, and not truly looking at whether or not the shelf can hold a couple gallons of milk. I am here to tell you there is no way this would have withstood the test of time with only a gallon of milk sitting on this unit. Poor design, poor quality and metal attached to raw plastic as it is a disaster.

March 18, 2018. I was called today to inform me that the right front burner on my new stove Model # WEG745H0FS0 (ordered in early September and not delivered until mid-October from Menards) was not operating properly. The flame was noisy and yellow. I inspected it and found that the front burner base was substantially damaged by heat. See photo (Whirlpool stove part damage1). On inspection of the other front burner base, I discovered early signs of the same problem. (Note changes on burner base on the left of the photo.)In this photo (Whirlpool stove part damage2.JPG), you can see the damage to the burner base and also see some changes on the 3 to 5 O’clock position on the burner base on the left of the photo. This stove is less than 6 months old. The fact that the burner parts can be melted indicate poor design and danger to the owner/operator of the stove. Further, the operators manual for the stove I bought does not include any information on the model I have. It has pictures of the range top similar to mine but the model number is completely different. In addition to this, the Aqua-Lift Technology for cleaning the oven is completely ineffective. This is noted in several other reviews of this equipment. The problem noted by the other review became obvious the very first day I tried to use this range. A 2 cup pot spilled all over the cooktop as soon as I put it on the grate.

Purchased I assumed a brand-new electric hot water heater from Lowes. It worked giving us hot water for 5 months then it quit. We called the number they have located on the side of the water heater and they sent 3 references such as plumbers for us to contact because everything they told us to purchase didnt work... so after their references, plumber came out. Instead of him telling us what was wrong why all of a sudden we stopped getting hot water he didnt return our phone call. As a professional that sucks!!! So WHIRLPOOL CUSTOMER SERVICE says the hot water heater that had been working for 5 months wasnt up to code and wasnt wired right and WE need to pay an electrician to connect it right... thats **. The electrician did it correct the first time. Whirlpool just dont want to accept the fact that their equipment is faulty!!! But thats good because I will NEVER purchase anything WHIRLPOOL makes. I dont care if they start making water. I will just quit The hell with that company!!! WHIRLPOOL SUCKS!!! Heres the serial number 1626103174130 and if I had read the neg reviews before I purchased the hot water heater I wouldnt not have done it!!!

Whirlpool Cabrio, H2 washer system type 588 01, serial # c0303 10 - We have been in our condo 5 years. The washer & dryer was here and new when we moved in. I have been displeased with it from the start. It takes forever to wash through a load, and the clothes are just as dirty after being washed as before. I soaked some whites in Clorox overnight and ran through using Tide and Downy. Then the stains and dirt were still there. I ran them again it was not any better. I had a professional from Hagadorn come. They could not find anything wrong. It cost us about $100.00. Others in our area have the same complaint. I have never been satisfied with this wash. It just does not get the clothes clean. Please help!!!

Cabrio Washer WTW6600SW1 - We purchased this washing machine back in January of 2007 and have had nothing but issues with it. We thought Whirlpool was an upstanding brand and weve found out otherwise. They havent stood behind their product or the issues we have had along with all the other people. There has been a Facebook page about the Famous F1 error code. We have had numerous other error codes we have had to pay to have someone come out to fix. We paid almost $700 for this machine and have had to pay out several hundred more dollars just in repairs. Not worth the money and the company doesnt deserve to be in business if they dont back their product. I get buying a warranty, but if they are same problem with so many machines, it sounds like a manufacturing defect to me.

I have a Whirlpool french door unit with ice & water through the freezer door. I recently noticed rust in the ice. When the extended service plans tech came to see it he told me that the ice bucket would have to be ordered. Almost a month later, I called him and was told that rust isnt covered. I understand that surface or cosmetic rust shouldnt be covered, but rust in a place where it can be ingested is different. Anyway, I called Whirlpool directly and a very nice phone rep agreed with me and asked her supervisor. Needless to say, I just sent Whirlpool a letter stating that I would pursue this through legal channels if I dont get satisfaction.

In October of 2014 we purchased our beautiful Whirlpool WRF990slam00 refrigerator from Lowes. We were super happy to have this big beautiful piece of equipment in our kitchen. From the start it ran a little loud but we were assured that this was normal. It seemed to function pretty well until 3 days after the one year warranty ran out. First thing, opened fridge door to a waterfall. Ice machine apparently was no longer working and 2 days later the fridge and freezer both stopped working and blowing warm air.Everything in the fridge and freezer had to be thrown out. I started making calls on November 2nd to see if Whirlpool would stand behind their $2,000 product and make good on repairs. It is now December 17th and we are still without a fridge. Not sure right now what is happening and I am afraid to call as I am sick to death of the whole thing. All I want is a fridge that works! Not too much to ask after spending $2,000. I am saving you the gory details as it would take me 10 pages but I have made SEVERAL calls. I hope to have Whirlpool step up and do the right thing but, I am not going to hold my breath.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Model WTW6400SW2 Serial CU0272414: I replaced my wonderful 25+ year old Kenmore washer with the Cabrio, 4 years ago. Within the first year I had to have a computer board replaced that was covered under the warranty. This last 6 months I replaced the suspension rods, was constantly showing that the load was unbalanced. Also have a LD error, long drain, probably because a sensor is bad. Today, restarted a load several times and could never complete the entire cycle. I resorted to unplugging, and starting a drain spin cycle and the washer just flooded my house. So Im done with this unit. Waiting for a class action suit. Lets get started. What type of unit should I buy now. I guess Im going to subscribe to Consumer Report before I buy another. Laundromat for me in the meantime.

My old Whirlpool stopped working so I purchased a new one 2 weeks ago. I have had 3 items ruined since using this machine. It is leaving blotchy spots on the clothes and they will not come out. I do not use bleach but the spots look like bleached spots or stains. After reading other reviews I would like to know what the manufacturers are going to do. It is not very economical if we have to rewash everything or replace clothes the new washers are ruining. We purchased our a model WTW7800XWO 7 years ago. Our lid kept falling down when loading and unloading. Very annoying. 3 years ago it failed to lock down which means the washer will not start. We learned to press down on the lid sides to get it to lock. Then it became loose where it connects to washer and we duct taped it to make it work. We put up for that for a year before having a repairman attach a new lid. 1 year later it did the same thing... And we put up with it hoping it wouldnt totally fail. Today it failed. Since the 1st repair cost 250.00 we decided that we will get a new washer rather than spend another 250.00. We will go with American made Speed Queen. We have had Whirlpool appliances since we were married 50 years ago.

I bought this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio) about 4 years ago. A year or so later, it started leaking; based on reading the troubleshooting guide we found that this was because the feet would continually get out of balance. After painstakingly re-leveling the washer every 6 months or so the washer now consistently leaks - even though its balanced/level! $508 to repair a machine I paid $787 for. No thanks. I agree too with the other reports that it doesnt get clothes clean. I just figured this was a feature those of us got for trying to be energy efficient.

I have had 6 months of absolute HELL working with Whirlpool. I mistakenly purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator from Home Depot and the moment I did Home Depot were hands off. Sadly my brand new refrigerator didnt work from the moment it arrived. The ice machine was dripping inside from the back making all the ice freeze together and created an ice sheet below the ice box that can be taken out. There also was water dripping out of the ice output. The water output wasnt working and the water was literally trickling out when you pushed for water.SO Whirlpool took 6 weeks to send their 1st technician from L.A.R Services out of Boston and the guy turned up and said it was due to needing a new ice tray/machine and our sink having an old filter. There was NO filter on the sink! And he then ordered an ice machine that arrived at their office in 4 weeks but they took 3 weeks to try to deliver it. When they finally came out they called to say they had to turn around because the road was blocked- there are 3 ways to get to our home....so I had to chase for 2 more weeks to get them to come back out. When they arrived they handed me the ice tray outside and drove off!!!SO WE TRIED AGAIN and this time had Home Depot call Whirlpool to get a service person in to fix it. We had to wait another 5 weeks and when he finally came he claimed our issue was due to the fridge not being perfectly level. Well, guess what, its now level and the ice is still freezing into giant blocks, some weird plastic strap is hanging inside the ice box and the water is still trickling out.Ive called the service guy 3 times and he is yet to call back and right now Im on hold with Whirlpool (its been 14 mins so far). NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything WHIRLPOOL and I will be sharing this experience in every consumer space possible so no one has to go through what we have. Our new fridge is still broken after 6 months!! All I want is my GE fridge again and I should have a followed the reviews.

Included was a 3-yr anything goes wrong, well replace for free warranty. A month after the purchase, we lost our home and were forced to move. We put the new appliances in storage and they have been there ever since. From the day we purchased the washer, we never got a clean wash out of it. It seemed it used about a teaspoon of water. Clothes were never clean... We had many other problems at the time and both washer and dryer were put into storage.Today, the warranty has long expired and I happened to check on the ConsumerAffairs site to see if there were any comments regarding whirlpool Cabrio washers... We purchased the Whirlpool model# BFG1J4040T3NOV 40 gallon natural gas hot water tank in the spring of 2010. The pilot light went out this weekend, 2011. And it will re-light but does not stay lit. This was bought at Lowes, rated as a 9-year warranty on the tank and parts. This is premature failure of a product that is listed as 9 years. Due to all the other similar complaints of this Whirlpool hot water tank, I would like my money back plus installation. I do not want the Whirlpool replacement as obviously it does not work. I will use a different brand and vet it much better in the future. We almost purchased at Home Depot but decided it would be a better bet to go with the Whirlpool reputation and name and Lowes than with the only Home Depot option, which is the self branded water heaters. Bought a Whirlpool 25 cu ft side by side in 2011 and now just 4 years later the compressor is bad. Called them and they only have a 1 year warranty, which is nothing for a compressor. They told me for $350 they could replace it and it be good for only a year. Not going to sink more money into a product even the company has no confidence in. The repairman advised to stay away from Whirlpool as they were not the company they used to be. Also the salesman at Lowes where it came from said they used to have a 5 year warranty but changed several years ago and the quality also went down. We have had refrigerators last 25 to 30 years in the past but no more thanks to modern technology. Thanks a lot. STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

I paid a lot of money for this because I thought it would be high quality and last for quite a while without problems. First of all, you HAVE to open the right door before the left door and then remember to ALWAYS close the left door first and then the right door. If you dont the doors dont close well and your refrigerator gets hot AND THERE IS NO BUZZER OR ALARM TO TELL YOU THE DOORS ARENT CLOSED. After 2 years the freezer repeatedly freezes up and then the refrigerator heats up. My repairman says the controls on this refrigerator are WAY odd and instead of just buying an inexpensive part (defrost timer for example for $50) he need to order the entire control for probably 3 time more. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TROUBLE. BUY ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHIRLPOOL GOLD.

Purchased a Whirlpool French door in April 2020 during the pandemic for 2K. The first week of owning it my fresh vegetables froze. I lowered the factory set temperature by one degree. The next week the ice maker stopped making ice. 3 days later it started up again. The 3rd week my freezer food defrosted and the ice maker stopped making ice. Called Whirlpool And requested a refund. They said, No we will send a tech. The tech determined the control board was defective. I had to empty the entire fridge and turn it off, defrost it for 24 hours. The headache to find someone to take your food! The part took 2 weeks to get replaced. The tech said, If this doesn’t work we will have to come back and take the back off to see what the issue is. Told to defrost again for 24 hrs. The ice was so thick we did it for 48 Hrs. 1 week later ice started to form in the freezer and the ice stopped working again. Called whirlpool demanded a refund and they said no. A tech will come again. I’ve relocated my food 3x already. How many more times can I do that! Whirlpool is not concerned about their reputation at all, as I read through other reviews of situations similar to mine. Do not buy whirlpool!

I purchased a lot of Whirlpool appliances -- washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and now a Whirlpool stainless steel refrigerator. This was approximately the end of 2014. Not long after I purchased the refrigerator, the front started with small rust stains. I notified Whirlpool and all they said was call Scratch-b-gone in California. My refrigerator should have been under warranty. They offered no other help. I live-chatted this morning and they say the same thing -- call another company. You are now out of service. Im so very disappointed in Whirlpool and will definitely rethink purchasing another Whirlpool appliance. My other stainless steel appliances are not having a rust problem -- just the refrigerator. I havent tried the Scratch-b-gone yet because on their website they say that a lot of Whirlpool products have a coating on them. VERY, VERY unhappy with Whirlpool and their customer service...

Purchased a 80 gallon Whirlpool Water Heater with a Life Time Warranty. When it overflowed because the system failed to detect the water temperature, called and they sent in the temp sensor (I paid for shipping). Had plumber replace it. One day later the same thing happened, called and they sent in a board. Same exact thing happened. By this time, Im without hot water for over 2 weeks in dead cold January on the East coast. They will replace the water heater but only a 50 gallon NOT the 80 because they no longer manufactured the 80. Option given by Lowes is to add a recirculating pump to give additional gallons. But, of course Whirlpool said NO. They only can give me the 50 gallon. What a ripoff!!! Please, please DO NOT purchase any product from Whirlpool. Now they change the same to A.O. Smith Signature Premier.

I purchased a Whirlpool gas top range from Lowes in Somerset Ky September 2013. Model number WFG524SLAB1. The surface is showing bubbles. I contacted Whirlpool and they gave some kind of story. In other words I am stuck with it. Still under warranty but they wont send someone out to look at it. Lowes told us that it could be a paint defect when it was made. If the top starts peeling, it will be a real mess. I have never used anything abrasive on the stove top. As of right now I am not happy with Whirlpool at all and if they dont do something about this, I will never buy another one of their appliances.

After only two and a half years, my Whirlpool bottom freezer refrigerator (GB2SHDXTQ0) was frosting over and the top food section stopped working altogether. I made a call to Lowe’s. It’s not their problem. I then called Whirlpool and he said I had a bad gasket. I had a 28-year-old refrigerator that was still working with the original gasket and it has no problem. After reading all the complaints with Whirlpool, I would never buy another one again. After cleaning out the refrigerator and freezer two times, carrying things to a friend’s house and having to pay $90 service calls just to walk into the door, I am ready to throw this one out. This refrigerator cost me $1200 and I am a single person living on $900 a month. Thanks for nothing, Whirlpool. There should be a class action suit.

To be fair to Whirlpool, I have contacted them but have not given them time
To be fair to Whirlpool, I have contacted them but have not given them time to respond. I feel so strongly about this issue that I want to get the message about this company product out. About 2 years ago, we purchased a Whirlpool fridge, stove, and dishwasher. I have had so many problems with the stove (WFG540H0AS0) that it has pissed me off, actually. First, the knobs that control the stove top melted. MELTED! We had to replace them to the tune of $30.00 each and there are 5. Why would anyone use knobs that cannot withstand heat on a stove?! News flash, I cook on my stove. Therefore, there will be heat used. Second, the oven keeps shutting off in the middle of cooking my holiday meal. Of course, this made my turkey take much longer than usual. Today, it shut off in the middle of cupcakes. Third, the oven does ignite without turning it on and off multiple times. So we called the repair person who told us to replace the ignition switch for it. This helped for about one month. Then the problem started again. I just emailed Whirlpool and I will call them next business day. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool. I thought they had a good reputation for quality products.

My microwave is a Whirlpool WMC10511AW purchased in Jan 2014 for $150. It is very light weight and moves around when opening and closing the door. I have to use something behind it on the counter top to keep from moving backward and causing problems getting things in and out. In the first year we had problems with the door latch, but after a while it stopped being a problem. I am used to the stability of Amana Radarange so these very lightweight microwaves seem really cheap to me. It works fine at this point but it seems that these really inexpensive countertop microwaves have to be replaced about every 2-3 years where an Amana which costs a lot more lasts for around 20 years and are very stable not moving around all the time.

So much for saving water! This Whirlpool Cabrio machine cost way too much for such lousy results. Additionally, I have to purchase a special product and clean my machine every month or two. We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer and Dryer. The control panel on the washer went out in March. We called for a repair. The repairman came, told us we needed to replace the control panel and he would order it. My American Express was charged $389.91 on March 26th. I called today, April 9, asking about where the part was and when my machine would be repaired. I was told the part would not be available until July 11, 2013. I cannot believe that a company would expect a customer to wait nearly four months for a part as well as charge them for the parts and labor four months ahead of the part. When I called, I was first told that there were 15 parts in stock, but then was told that there were not any available to me. I have cancelled the service but it will take them three weeks to credit my card back for the part.

I have made a conscious choice to remove baked food from my diet back in ea
I have made a conscious choice to remove baked food from my diet back in early 2013. That has not stopped my wife from pursuing her passion for baking from time to time. It goes without saying that baking requires a well functioning baking oven. The one that came with our home was a Whirlpool Wall Oven/Microwave combination. Sometime in early 2014 the Oven broke down. I had no choice but to replace the combination. After doing some online research and a couple of trips to stores like Sears, Home Depot and Lowes, we decided to drop $2700 of our hard earned dollars on a brand new Whirlpool WOC95EC0AS wall oven microwave combo to replace the old one. Lowes sent someone home to take measurement to make sure that we ordered the right size for the slot in our kitchen. 2 weeks after the purchase, around March 27th or 28th, we had the Microwave/oven combo installed in our kitchen by some Lowes provided installation contractor. After installing the appliance, the technician demoed both the microwave and the oven part of the combo. Everything looked good and we were happy to see the shiny new appliance adorning our kitchen. Little did we know then that this would start a seemingly unending horror story. For the first 3-4 weeks we used only the microwave and it worked as expected. Then one weekend, my wife decided to do some baking. The dough was prepared meticulously and then came the first surprise, the oven refused to turn on. Feature not available - the message scrolled across the LED display. And horror of horrors, the microwave started giving the same message immediately after. We looked online for solutions, and we found one that suggested that we try breaking the circuit for 1 minute and turn on again we tried it to no avail. And now we went from having a working microwave/broken oven to no microwave/no oven.We waited till the next day or so before placing a call to the customer service number provided in our warranty receipt. By now the 30 day return guarantee had expired and it was the end of April, 2014. Product was now under manufacturers warranty. Whirlpool/Lowes customer service scheduled a technician to come take a look at the oven.My wife took a day off from work and waited for the technician. The technician from J&H appliance repair of SJ came home, took a look and then tried breaking the circuit and turning it on again after a minute; of course, it did not work. After consulting with someone on the phone, he decided to order some parts the main circuit board. He promised to come back after the part arrived. We did receive a call from J&H to schedule an appointment to install the part and schedule a time we did. J&H decided to no-show us on the appointment and my wife wasted another day of her time-off from work.We called customer-service again and this time they decided to send in a technician from a Sears owned company called A&E Factory Service. A technician came home and he went through the same steps as the earlier technician from J&H. This time, it was my turn to stay home and welcome the visitor. Finally when there was no trick up his sleeves to left to try, he decided he is going to order the main board. A&E technician did something different, he ordered the part to my home. I called him as soon as it arrived. We scheduled a time and he arrived to install the part. I stayed home again. Well, result was no different and the appliance was in no mood to oblige to our coaxing and cajoling. Feature not available, it continued to bleep out. He ordered 2 more boards to my home. I stayed home again to welcome the technician and he arrived again to install the 2 new boards but the result was no different than the last time. Feature not available - the zombie appliance screamed. He told me that there is only one that remains to be done which is to replace the front panel circuitry so he ordered it. By now it was end of June. We hadnt used the oven for 3 full months and the microwave for 2 months.First week of July, a new technician from A&E showed up early in the morning to install the newly ordered front panel. Surprise, Surprise - Feature not available screamed the shiny lemon sitting in my kitchen wall. The technician asked me if I will be home the whole day and I said yes. Another technician, a supposedly senior expert came by that afternoon. He tinkered with it for a couple of hours and like all who came before him, he surrendered. He said there is nothing left to do with the oven and that he is going to recommend that the oven be replaced. He left me a voice mail next morning saying that I need to call Whirlpool myself and apprise them of my experience and ask for a replacement. So I called the customer service after a long 1 hour talk with customer service rep, followed by a conversation with his rude supervisor. I was told that Whirlpool no longer deals with A&E that they broke their relationship with them as of June 31st, 2014. I failed to understand why that was my fault. I was told they need to send technician from another company, can you guess the company whirlpool recommended? It would be funny, if it wasnt incredibly painful to deal with horrible customer support representatives yes, it was the the no-show company J&H. I told him Id have nothing to do with J&H. So they recommended their only other option, a company called AGO.AGO technicians started showing up at my house since early July and I waited with baited breath for them to suggest a way forward to a resolution. Well good thing that I didnt hold my breath for that to happen. AGO technicians have made 8-9 visits to my home during July and August with the last visit being on Aug 20th. They replaced all the boards that A&E guys had already replaced the previous month. On August 21st, I received a call from AGO rep saying that they have given up that the product is irreparable. They gave me a reference number and asked me to call Whirlpool for a final resolution.I called Whirlpool customer service on August 22, 2014 and Spoke to Jennifer and her supervisor for 32 minutes. They wanted to restart the whole process of sending technicians to my home. It would be funny if they hadnt stolen $2700 of my hard earned money + all the lost hours and productivity + vacation time lost + headache they caused + the pain of not having a working Oven/Microwave in our kitchen + dealing with rude customer service reps, I lost it. I threatened to put the whole recorded conversation on YouTube. The rude inconsiderate supervisor hung up on me.I called back after a few minutes and spoke with a tad bit more reasonable rep named Ashley. At least, she had the patience to hear me out without barking at me about what my rights are as a customer. Well she had no better solution than to suggest another technician appointment what was the excuse this time? That the last technician from AGO didnt call Whirlpools tech support line while he was at my house. As if that is my fault. I agreed and we setup an appointment for Wednesday, August 27, 2014 between 8AM and 12PM with the same old company J&H who no showed me once. Goes to show you who Whirlpools associates in business are. They had only two companies providing repair services in San Jose AGO and J&H.I took the morning off from work on Aug 27, 2014 and waited till 12 noon and there was no sign of technician. So I called Whirlpool customer service number one more time. As you would expect by now, a rude customer service person named Eva from Michigan picked up my call. It was reasonably clear to me during that conversation that the J&H technician no-showed because appointment was not communicated to them. She emphatically claimed that my warranty is not a product replacement warranty but a repair warranty and that she needs to send me a technician to take a look at the product. Can anyone believe it? She told me I have only one option either to accept the perpetual technician visits or she will note that I have rejected their offer to service the product. I told her I am not rejecting anything, just exploring all my options. She assured me I had no other options. The arrogance of these people! So here I am, several thousand of my hard earned money stolen by Whirlpool and I still have no working product. Adding insult to injury, 2 weeks ago I received a letter from Whirlpool pitching me to extend my 3 year extended warranty to 5 years. They want to inflict more pain and charge you for the privilege.I have more options than Eva would want me to know. Luckily I have legal coverage under my benefit plans at work. Even more importantly there is social media and internet. I am pursuing those options at the moment. Heres the summary: Lowes takes my $2700 on March 13th. I get the Wall Oven delivered and installed on March 27th. A total of at least 15 repair visits are made to my home between first week of March May and August 21 (I have started losing count). Time since product purchase: > 5 months. # of times the oven has worked : 0. Hours spent talking to rude customer service reps: 4-6 hours. Time spent at home baby sitting repair technicians : > 100 hours. Lowes, Inc washed their hand stating 30 day money back guarantee is over. Its customer service people were not of any help either. UPDATE 9/15/14:Within a few hours of publishing this post (on 9/2/14), I was contacted by both Lowes and Whirlpool via Twitter. Both the companies seemed genuinely interested in resolving this issue. After I DMed my appliance and contact information via twitter, Melissa from Whirlpool called me and left me a voice mail on Wednesday, Sept 3rd, 2014 informing that they have decided to replace the oven. I was told in that voice mail that I should expect a call from Whirlpool on the details of the exchange before end of day on Friday (Sept 5th). I was contacted by Lowes and I informed the Lowes rep that Whirlpool has agreed to replace my oven.I thought I would really be able to make a single update to the post informing the world that Whirlpool really made amends and tried to hard to correct the failures of the past. It is 9/15/14 today and I havent received any updates from Whirlpool about the how/when of the exchange. I made 2 customer service calls to Whirlpool last week. I was unable to speak to Melissa the first time, but did speak with another rep. She told me she will pass the information on to Melissa and ask her to contact me. She connected me to Melissas voice mail and I left her a voice mail. Melissas voice mail greetings suggested that I also contact her via Whirlpools customer service email for faster response. So I did that too.On Thursday 12:37PM pacific, I received a call from Melissa. She had no useful information to share with me. She is waiting for some paper pusher to do his/her job and could not make any promises as to when it will be resolved. My file is stuck in one of Whirlpools many bureaucratic bottlenecks. This is no personal indictment of Melissa it is just evidence that Whirlpools is not serious about customer satisfaction. My experience is not isolated as evidenced not just by this event but also by the number of people ranting on their social media handles. Here was an opportunity to rectify its mistake and win the confidence of a customer back and so far Whirlpool seems to be uninterested in any such thing.IMPORTANT UPDATE (9/16/14): Please share this story via your social media handles. It is important to hold these people accountable for their actions. It is also important that we inform consumer about the perils of doing business with these organizations. Thank you very much. UPDATE (9/17/14): Whirlpools customer supports twitter moniker is @WhirlpoolCare. LOL. They could have demonstrated care by resolving customer issues, instead they removed my permission to post to their Facebook Page. WhirlpoolCare indeed.:) I will be handling this mostly through Twitter follow me at **. I will be using hashtag #whirlpoolsux going forward. I would request that you do the same. I have the model FG1H5040T3NOV water heater and had found this message board. I called the number posted by Chris with American Water Heater and provided them with my serial number. They shipped me the replacement assembly next day and after about an hour, I had it installed and working again. Im not too happy with the fact that it failed, but it does appear they have their act together in getting the replacement parts distributed.Based on the discussion with the person on the phone, my only real gripe is this: the cause of the component failure was potentially caused by a dirty-flame trap that supposedly needs to be cleaned regularly. Since the trap is underneath the water heater and is in no way really accessible, relying on people to see the fine print in the manual (which hardly anyone reads) isnt sufficient. At an absolute minimum, a very clear and apparent sticker should be included on all water heaters indicating this needs to be cleaned and a clear description of how to clean it properly to prevent this sort of unnecessary headache in the future.

I purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater several years back with every bit of the Bells & Whistles that Lowes could bestow on it paid for and documented on the tank; Limited Lifetime Warranty and Lowes Professional Installation. It failed after several years with multiple problems. First, the bottom heating unit failed at the same time, noticing a leak from the top heating units external cover where a supporting screw had popped out, leaking down to the floor. Not only was the Whirlpool 800 number a scham of silence, with no estimated wait time and after approximately 20 minutes, a rep picks up as I could hear their legal department on an alternated line instructing and listening in, then dropping off when those crooks felt I had been placated enough to go onto to the next sucker. I own a Whirlpool Cabrio washer, model #WTW7800XWO. The lid to the washer has completely detached for lack of a better word. It literally blew-off during the spin cycle and is hanging on by one hinge. My husband is disabled and I have had to go without using the washer for several days, waiting on a repair person not to mention the expense that will be incurred. This was a very potentially dangerous situation. My washer is barely older than one year. To add insult to injury, when I contacted the customer service department, I was told I would have to purchase and replace the lid or pay $299.00 for warranty insurance to have it covered because this is not considered a Quality Control issue. The service person has told me that both hinges and the lid will have to be ordered and replaced, leaving me without a washer for several more days. No one has been able to tell me why this happened. I fear this happening again after repair and do not feel safe with this washer. I would appreciate a response as soon as possible.

Do not under any circumstance end up with the Whirlpool fabric washer and or dryer in your dwelling to wash and dry your clothes. The washer, model # WTW7000DW0 and dryer, model # WED7000DW0. I am so upset with these units and the company I bought a 5 year extended warranty thru. I cannot put down in words what I think, because this review would not be published. Do not even accept these units, even if they are free. Even the repairmen who have been here said they would not buy these Whirlpool junk washer and or dryer series. They acknowledged the problem and said nothing could be done even though there is a legitimate problem. Not only is there a problem with the washer, the dryer as well has serious issues. All washes have to be put on the deep water cycle and some loads have totally dry spots on clothes where the clothes did not even get wet after the washer went thru the complete cycle. Also, get this, this washing machine even has to be cleaned itself with a cleaning tablet run thru a cleaning cycle. What happens are the clothes get a nasty, slimy, white muck on them. Even, immediately after the washer gets cleaned, sometimes the clothes 32nd up with this muck on them again. If you do not see this muck on your clothes before putting in the junk dryer, then the clothes have to be washed and dried again. This washer is supposed to be efficient, not a chance. It gets costly having to purchase the cleaning tablets and the washer(28th only two people in the household) has to be cleaned a lot more than what the manufacturer says and I called and asked. Pure junk, do yourself and even your enemies a favor, stay away at any cost, and like I said, even if they are free.

I purchased the machine December of 2010 from Lowes along with the matching dryer. I also purchased an extended warranty. A year ago July the lid on the washer broke at the hinges. I contacted the warranty provider and was told that the repair would not be covered under warranty and the damage was operator error. I purchased a new lid for approx. $250. One year later the replacement lid broke in the same location. I have tried to get a response from Whirlpool no response. I contacted Parts Select and inquired about changes that should have been made to correct the lids. He was not aware of any changes but did advise that the part had a new number which he indicated probably meant a design change. I ordered a new lid just under $250. New machines have a metal frame around the glass instead of the plastic frame which keeps failing. The springs that hold the lid in the upright position are so stiff I can hardly move them by hand. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool quality and consumer support. I will not purchase any more Whirlpool products.

Our daughter has a Whirlpool Duet front loader washer & dryer combination which is less than 3 years old. The washer shows fault code 71 and will not run or release the door lock. The first repairman said the interface board and/or a computer will need to be replaced. Cost is $600 to $1,000. I called Whirlpool. They recommended their trained tech be called out. He looked at the broken machine and determined the interface board was bad, and he put a temporary repair on the washer and said Its okay to use for now. He will return in 2 weeks with the replacement part. We tried the machine with a load of clothes. The machine filled up with water then quit, and the door was locked. We called to get a tech to open the door so we could retrieve our clothes. No one is available for 1 1/2 week. I called Whirlpool and was told a claim form would be mailed to me so we could be compensated for the damaged clothes. The letter arrived. I was appalled when I read it. First, it came from their Legal dept. The intent was to scare us into getting a lawyer or just use our homeowners insurance for the damaged clothes claim. I called Whirlpool back several times and was told too bad, so sad. Whirlpool might make a good machine; they cant prove it by me but their support rates a big zero.

Theyre also giving the machine an additional year warranty. Shortly after that, I noticed the lid was not staying up when I opened to put clothes in it to wash. So since I was wondering what was happening, I looked at the lid and to my surprise, the springs that hold the door up when open are built into the plastic lid cover that has a see-through glass on it. Right where the springs are located, it must be a stress point and the plastic lid has since cracked and is almost about to break off. I am now in the process of ordering another lid and Whirlpool offered to sell me a lid for $226 but I think I shall buy it from someone else as I dont want to put any more money into Whirlpools pockets. We paid over $1000 when we bought this machine. Now it is about 2.5 years old. I hope there is a class action lawsuit on Whirlpool as I will definitely join in if there is. This company needs to go out of business if they continue to sell machines like this that have so many problems especially when they are less than 2.5 years old. Goodbye Whirlpool. You have lost many more customers as I shall be letting everyone I know about all the problems and complaints about this machine.

A couple of years ago, we had 2 natural gas hot water heaters installed. We immediately had a service call to replace the thermostat on one of them. Then recently, the other one had to be replaced because of the leaky tank. It was still in warranty, and we had to pay $425 for the old one to be removed and the new one installed. Now, this one has a bad thermostat and the A & E Factory Service is coming tomorrow to install the new thermostat. We have been inconvenienced by this for a couple of weeks as we have no hot water in the master bath. We were just lucky that we had one hot water heater working in the other part of the house. I think that Whirlpool should have paid the $425 for the installation as the original hot water heater was in warranty. Now, I hope that tomorrows visit will be covered by the warranty. Next time we need an appliance, we will not be purchasing a Whirlpool.

I purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer 4 years ago and had no problems until recently. The motor and the harness broke and the cost to repair was almost as much as a new washer. The repairman told me that this is a common problem with all washers that Whirlpool makes as they have the same motor and harness. He gave me a list of all the brands that they make and suggested if I buy one to get an extended warranty. I would not recommend anyone buy an appliance from a company that continues to manufacture faulty products. I wonder if they own the extended warranty company?

We purchased this dishwasher in June 2014 while putting home back together
We purchased this dishwasher in June 2014 while putting home back together following fading of our home. Within 6 months of purchase the dishwasher was doing dry washes, and getting very hot touch. Whirlpool sent out repairman who replaced parts that had melted inside dishwasher and the control panel. This same thing happened 2 more times. A repairman came and repaired and replaced parts. In May 2016 it once again was running so hot that it burned hand when opened. Once again repaired but this time it started leaking from front dishwasher. When we talked to whirlpool they sent out repairman and assured us they would pay for any and all damage it had caused. They also replaced dishwasher with Maytag of our choice which they covered all cost. When installers pulled out the unit we learned the dishwasher had most likely been leaking the entire time, water damage up entire wall, cabinets ruined, countertops had been bubbling and separating from wall, floors ruined. We followed all instructions and had three contractors come to do estimates that were from 27,500-30,680. Whirlpool then sent outside adjuster because of cost. We have now received offer of 6700 and told we could take this or submit to our insurance company. Also we now have Mold in kitchen which they are aware of and we think the flooring is now rotting and breaking.

We bought this unit (Whirlpool fridge #WRF555SDF201) in November 2016. Was so excited! The fridge looks great, love the French doors, and the freezer. Its the ice maker! It spews crushed ice all over every time it is used. Its like the setting is stuck in-between crushed and cubed. Every time it is used ice goes on floor and I have to clean it up. If a small child uses it they get ice in their face and down their shirts. I have been told from Whirlpool and Lowes that it is in the design and they will not even try to fix it. They will definitely not replace it. Lowes claims they know about the way Whirlpool designs their ice makers and that they mention it to prospective buyers, but I know they did not tell me of this design flaw in the product before we bought it. I now simply have to deal with it. It is less than a year old and I burn with disappointment every time I use the ice maker. I am even more disappointed in the lack of concern for me, the customer. We bought 6 Whirlpool appliances at the same time from Lowes about 6 months ago. It will take awhile but they will NOT be replace with Whirlpool or purchased at Lowes.

The lid stopped locking just over one year after I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer, which disabled the washer from washing. After investigating, it seems the electronic control board needs to be replaced, which will cost $400 just for the part. Bought set 12/5/14 at Lowes Tucson. First load came out with shirts looking like theyd been scrubbed with sandpaper. Called Whirlpool & was advised to use higher water level for loads. Then noticed small hole in my favorite shirt. Oh well. Next I found an area in my king sized bottom sheet with several holes and torn fibers. Thought maybe it might be from my toenails, except it wasnt where my feet would be. Finally a pair of capris (just worn twice) found with same type of holes and torn fibers. Dryer also inefficient. Balls up clothes - outside dry; inside wet. Re-run one or two inside wet pieces and they dont dry at all! What kind of technology is this?

Three days later an electrician came and upon opening the microwave box it was severely damaged. Whirlpool won’t replace it because I called one day outside their 48 hour window. They delivered me a damaged product – period. It should be replaced without question. Instead they want to send a “cosmetic tech” out to see if it can be fixed. I can’t imagine that’s a more cost-effective method for them. Completely unacceptable. I will never buy Whirlpool again based on their lack of customer service and common sense.

After 4 days I call back and get Mia rep, she claims I was disapproved for new unit after all?? I spoke to 2 supervisors above her Karin in Tennessee, and another. They claim I was mistaken??? I said, “Look up the recorded call and you will see the message is clear... They acted shifty and claimed I should buy a new starting at $1399!!! They would consider small discount?? I purchased a brand new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer from Sears less than 5 years ago and am junking it! It has all the same problems everyone else has mentioned. I have had it serviced for faulty motherboard, unbalanced tub, broken lock mechanism. It had rusted out on the inside. Clothes are never clean and it constantly becomes unbalanced in spin cycle. We have to stop and rebalance every single load 3 or 4 times--or more if trying to wash a set of sheets or two or more towels. Cant leave the machine unattended for even a few minutes. I might as well be hand washing on a scrub board at the edge of a river! Waste of money and Whirlpool Customer Service wont say anything but should have purchased extended warranty! What a load of crap from what was once a reputable company that used to make a reliable product. WARNING--NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE!!!!!

It has been one thing after another. Today the manager told me that my warranty only covered parts and not a replacement machine. I am washing my clothes two or three times to get them so we can wear them. First this is not saving water, energy, time and most of all CLOTHES. We are wearing our clothes out washing them. This is unacceptable. With this many complaints, the company has to know they have a machine with issues. I will never purchase Whirlpool again. After yet another frustrating round of laundry I have to write this. This has been the worst purchase (Cabrio 6800 Washer and Dryer) Ive ever made. Like other reviewers, I thought I was buying a high-end (high priced) product that has performed miserably from day one. Clothes do NOT come clean and for some reason, towels and dishcloths get ripped and shredded. All cycles (except sheets/towels) do not dispense enough water. Of course the one that does, results in the ripped and shredded problem. A little more than a year after purchase, we got an error code indicating the computer board was bad. Code would come up during initial cycle start and again at the start of the rinse cycle. Whirlpool basically said tough luck but shortly after, we started receiving offers in the mail to purchase an extended warranty for $175. Out of principle, I did not do this. Instead we discovered that we could push pause/start/pause/start multiple times and it would eventually keep going. We are still doing that on EVERY load of laundry (start and rinse cycles). I am not far from just biting the bullet and buying a new washer. It will not be a Whirlpool. One positive note is that the dryer has performed well, unlike some of the other reviewer experiences!

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer approximately 4 years ago thinking we were purchasing a top-of-the-line washer. The first year went great. I was very impressed with how it washed. My clothes came out cleaner than ever before; I loved it. But shortly after the warranty expired, one of the water pumps began leaking out all over the floor. We found out that a coin had passed through the barrel down into the pump and caused the plastic pump to crack with the high speed spin. We replaced that pump at a cost of over $100. We shopped around to find the part as reasonable as possible. The machine worked fine for about another 10 months, then it happened again. The new pump began spitting out water all over the floor. So again, we found another coin, another crack in the pump and again replaced it, another $100+. Finally, a third time, it was the same thing; the pump cracked due to a coin. This time, it was the pump on the opposite side, but still, water was all over the floor. This time, we ordered the part through Whirlpool and complained about this happening for a third time. My husband asked them about the Lemon Law and he was told that he would have had to purchase all of the pumps through Whirlpool. What does that have to do with it? We bought the pumps where we could afford them! The washer cost about $700 to begin with, and within 4 years, weve spent approx. $400 more? Thats not the end of it though. Now we are hearing loud noises and there is water all over the floor again every time you wash. This time, its not the pumps though. It appears that it has something to do with the bearings and maybe a seal somewhere around the barrel itself. But you can hear something knocking around - it sounds almost like a nut. We are going to call a local repairman to come and look at it tomorrow. This is just ridiculous. I feel like weve been completely duped over this purchase. The salesman talked this up like it was the cream of the crop and weve had nothing but problems. My last washing machine was a Kenmore and it lasted nearly 15 years and not once did I have to call a repairman or buy parts for it! Guess what Im going to buy again? If Whirlpool would just acknowledge these problems and fix them for people, it might renew faith in your company. I know I dont know the inner workings of a washing machine, but it seems to me that a screen prior to the pumps to keep coins from entering the pumps wouldve been a very cheap fix to a huge problem. I also own the Cabrio dryer and have hated it since the day I got it. It never dry things with one cycle. I always have to run it a second time. Knock on wood though, I have never had any breakdowns with that. I can guarantee my next buy will not be Whirlpool, nor will I pick expensive models again. I bought the cheap stuff years ago and it lasted forever! Im very nervous because I bought a Whirlpool fridge last year and I am praying I have no problems with that!

The top loading washer (W10682799) is energy efficient and high capacity. It regulates the water level so you dont have to worry about wasting water. I bought Whirlpool front load washer at Sears in June 27, 2012... (serial W104408696A) (W10409178A-SP). I had 6 episodes within a 1-year time that my clothes got burn holes and the inside of the washer. I would find a handful of gray powder after doing my laundry. The first time it happened, I thought that I left something inside my clothes that resulted to it, but I did nothing to contribute to the event. The second time it happened, I thought Im putting the wrong setting, so I chose another setting to wash my clothes. In that span of 1 year it was on and off happening. I read different reviews on this washer, and I am not the only one whos had this problem. Finally in 2013, before my warranty would expire, I requested for Whirlpool to fix the problem. Right away the tech told me that the problem was the glass covering, so they replaced it. Now my washer would not drain. I believe that this product does not belong in the market. If they knew what the problem was, they should have recalled it. I kept the sample of that gray powder.

I purchased a built in black stainless-steel Whirlpool refrigerator in June and took delivery in September 2017. It quit making ice in December and I was told to replace the water filter. So, I did - still no ice. Fast forward to May 2018 still not making ice so finally got repair person out under warranty. He could not figure it out so reset it and said to wait 24 hours and see if there is ice. There was no ice. AND in the morning the whole unit was not working - lost all my food in the fridge and freezer - NOT covered by warranty. A few days later a different guy comes and says the guy that was there is an idiot and no longer with the company. Again, this guy can’t figure out what the issue is between himself and the Whirlpool tech on the phone so he does his thing and gets the fridge on again. Still no ice. Fast forward to 6/20/18 repair guy has been out 3 times and not been able to figure out the issue between his knowledge and Whirlpools team on the phone with him. At one point it worked for a few days and then died again and AGAIN lost all food in fridge and freezer - NOT covered under warranty. As of today even though I have not had a fridge since 5/10/18 and they won’t be back until 6/28/18 and they are just shooting in the dark on the repair cause they never have figured out what the problem is Whirlpool will not replace the unit until this attempt fails. If this attempt fails then they will review/recommend replacement of the unit which will take 2 weeks. That means that Whirlpool is OK with the consumer being out of a refrigerator for almost 3 months or more, losing time and money at work to meet with the repair person multiple times, having spent thousands of dollars on the unit and losing hundreds of dollars’ worth of food. Not to mention the inconvenience and cost of not having refrigerator for a family with a working mother, 2 teenagers and a 90 year old grandmother/great grandmother. But, hey it’s the way the warranty works right?!

I can always tell when its time for a recharge because it leaks water profusely when at a low charge (every 4 to 6 weeks). We paid over $1800 for this fridge back in 2013. Purchased top loading Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW0 10/12/2015 at Best Buys, first no agitator machine for us. Two weeks later I call for repair service because of the noise from tub. Explained in other reviews as earthquake or jet engines. The machine is in the garage and can be heard through the walls into the house. Repair tells this is normal for the machine and it must be our first none agitator machine.I then purchased a extended warranty policy through Whirlpool. 12/13/2016 machine no longer washing clothes. Call Whirlpool for service. Repair came out 01/17/2017 (a month later). Washer plate had to be replaced. The gear was completely shredded. Not in stock, waited 2 weeks to get repaired. Tension springs on outer tub replaced at same time. Was told the excessive grinding and bumping of the tub was not the reason for the gear shredding.06/30/2017 same problem, I set a repair date 07/01/2017 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one shows and no call. I call Whirlpool and they are sorry and set the appointment the same day for before 5:00 p.m. No one shows our calls. I call back. Already closed. I call the next day. Sets a new date 07/05/2017, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Same problem. I called back speak to a supervisor who says hell get to problem and find out whats wrong. Sets a new date 07/08/2017 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. 07/07/2017 I get a call after 5:00 p.m. that the repairman is not available and can we reset for 07/13/2017. I hung up and called back the next day and spoke to a supervisor I had previously spoke with. He called an outside repair company that Whirlpool uses in this area. New date 07/12/2017. Repairman shows and I explain the washer plate was loose again and I smelled metal burning. I had told my wife to continue to use the machine to wash the clothes. The repairman tells me I voided the warranty by doing this. Im standing in the garage while he has his head in the machine trying to get the washer plate out. He shuts the lid and turns the machine on wash/spin says the machine is ok. We have an exchange of words and tell him I want to see the washer plate gears. He says he cant get the plate out now and I wasnt there for him to show it to me. This continued until he forced the plate off. He called Tech Support to say I voided the warranty. He told them customer claims loud noises and banging. I asked to speak to Tech but he tells me they dont speak with the customer. I looked at the gears on the washer plate and the transmission. Both had metal shavings. He tells me he is going to do me a favor and replace both. Its supposed to take a week. Wait and see. I have asked for a replacement or money for the machine through Whirlpool. I was told there has to be at least 4 repair requests for the same problem and the repairman has to determine that there is a problem or that its a lemon. I will not recommend or purchase another Whirlpool product.

I bought the W04H02 SKU Number 13219771. I decided to wait to write this review until Trail Appliances hauled away this piece of junk, which was this morning. I bought this fridge July 2013. In June 2015 the freezer first konked out, so I started using my deep freezer. Then by October the fridge went. I called in my repair guy, who told me he sees this all the time with this fridge and carries many motors for these garbage fridges in his vehicle at all times. So $375.00 later it worked for about 3 1/2 months. Just long enough until the warranty again ran out. At this time I started to read the reviews about Whirlpool, and I was so mad at myself for not reading the reviews first. All I can say is I would never ever recommend this product. I am glad to see this junk out of my home. I never wasted TIME CONTACTING WHIRLPOOL, AS BY THE REVIEWS I READ, THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. THEY ARENT WORTH THE TIME.

With the many selection to dry your clothes accordingly to your load, 9 times out of 10 all clothes are dry. Ive used every cycle there is too often so that I could get a better trusted value. Also it removes more lint than any other brand that I could think of.

Im very satisfied with the looks and performance of my Whirlpool dishwasher, it is quiet enough that I put it on to wash before going to bed. It is that quiet. Im not happy about the way it was installed, but that is no fault of the dishwasher or Whirlpool, it works great even though it sits kind of crooked in the cabinet. The dishes are always sparkling clean and dry when it is done washing.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRX9885IBM01 French Doors - We purchased this
Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRX9885IBM01 French Doors - We purchased this $2,000+ dollar refrigerator in December of 2014 and within two weeks of plugging it in, we noticed the freezer drawer was crooked and ice crystals in the freezer compartment. We contacted Whirlpool re the matter and they dispatched a local serviceman. He informed us that the inner lining of the refrigerator was crooked and he contacted Whirlpool. He sent pictures of the crooked drawers and was advised by Whirlpool to adjust the outside door, but nothing could be done for the inside crookedness and that he was to take silicone and seal the refrigerator to prevent air coming in to create the ice... Really? We told him that was merely a Band-Aid to the problems and we wanted a replacement. According to Whirlpool, they can only service our month old refrigerator and cannot replace it.Actually, they cannot even service the defective product they sell, they can only caulk the problem until it comes again. I am not going to stop until everybody in the country buying a refrigerator thinks first about the warranty Whirlpool offers. After reading defective parts, etc., I am amazed they are still in business! We are contacting Lowes to come pick it up! Let them deal with the garbage they are selling!

Whirpool Cabrio Washer - Do not buy this washer. Clothes are not clean. They are twisted with residue still trapped in the wadded up mess. Even if you select deep water clean, your clothes will still have the same dirty marks on them as when they went in. Also, there is no spin cycle. If youve got a bunch of wet towels you just want to spin the water out, you can forget it. You will have to do a complete wash. And the 1 star is not even appropriate but there is no choice of a big fat zero. Wasted a lot of money on this when Ive had great luck with Kenmore.

This is about my Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer machine (model number WTW6200SWD, serial # CT3670597). I bought this machine in 2007, and soon after, I was having problems with the F1 code. After several trips back and forth to reset the code, so I can get the laundry done, and many frustrations, it was time to call Whirlpool to resolve the problem. I find out that there was a recall for this ongoing issue. They sent a technician to replace the mother board, and everything was fine for some time. Soon after, the machine was giving us more problems with the F1 code, and the UL code. It doesnt matter which way I try to balance the load. This piece of junk will not work. Whirlpool needs to stand behind this issue, and recall this washing machine for good. Every customer should be entitled to a full refund, and a compensation for the many hours of electricity, aggravation, and frustration, wasted trying to get this junk to work.

We had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a Whirlpool product from Lowes. During Memorial Day weekend we came home to a freezer full of defrosted meat. After having to throw away 1/3 of a steer that we purchased from a local 4-H students project due to the temperature of the meat and not knowing how long it had been at that temperature. I called Lowes and they said there was nothing they could do for me since the freezer was over 1 month old. It was right at 2 months. (Purchase date - failure date). They advised me to call Whirlpool directly and gave me a number to the warranty technician. The warranty technician came and immediately found the problem. The defrosting connector was not plugged in when it was manufactured. Clearly a manufacturer issue. I called Whirlpool to find out how much of my over $1500 of meat they would cover. They told me they would not cover any of the loss. Then they offered me a 1 year extended warranty for free for my Inconvenience. What a slap in the face. Why would I need a warranty or even a freezer for that matter since I no longer have anything to put in it. Needless to say I will no longer purchase any products from Lowes or Whirlpool.

My dishwasher is 4 months old and is having some electrical issues. I have had to call into customer service 3 time to try to get a service call. Two of the service calls did not show up. To this Whirlpool said it was not their responsibility. From my experience Whirlpool does not care that the service calls are weeks out, or that the dishwasher does not work.
