Washer is not worth the cost. After 4th year of use in a two person household the washer bearings are gone and require replacement. The washer sounds like an airplane. I was told based on my description of the issue that the water has leaked due to washing and spinning into the bearing assembly and has caused it to have friction. The Whirlpool warranty is just as costly as the machine.

I think the whirlpool washer is a very nice machine. I think it does a good job of cleaning but still has the tub odor problem that a lot of front load machines have. As far as reliability it has done pretty well but I did have to replace the tub bellow and it is only 5 years old. It also makes a lot of noise so it is not a quiet machine at all. The steam option on the washer is a nice feature but not sure how much it does to help clean stuff.

Duet Washer GHW9150PH0 - The washer is about nine years old. Last year I got the dreaded F-11 error code, and had to purchase a new controller board and install it. Now the spider arm on the basket has snapped (cast part). Ive been on the phone with Whirlpool for over a half hour now, and all I get is We have to send a service tech out, and you have to pay for them. I have the broken part in hand, I know the Whirlpool part number, yet they want me to pay for a tech to come see the part and confirm it. Ive been unable to talk to a manager yet, none are available.Eventually the lady agreed to replace the broken basket, after telling me at least five times she could not, but she refused to replace the tub which was destroyed when the basket broke. Ill be calling back to talk to another agent soon.

If everyone would submit their complains to Whirlpool, they might do something about this. Submit your complaint to ALL of the followings emails: investor_relations@whirlpool.com media@whirlpool.com whirlpool_customerexperience@whirlpool.com B2Bdevelopment@whirlpool.com. Here is what I wrote to Whirlpool: Model: WTW7800XWO, Serial number: C02670320. I purchased the 4.6 Cu. Ft. Cabrio Platinum Top Load Washer in June 2010. The washer lid has broken 3 times now. Its snapping by the hinges. I have been charged about $300 per lid. I believe the hinges are not durable enough to support the weight of the glass lid. I have read hundreds of reviews regarding the same model and issues, I also have a friend who has the same model and is experiencing the same issues and has had to replace the lid twice now. Im disappointed that Whirlpool has not taken accountability for this and either issue a recall or replace the lid at no charge to the customer. If there has been so many complaints, why hasnt Whirlpool taken action on this? I am requesting that the Whirlpool Headquarters address this issue immediately. When I called customer service to complain about this issue, the rep informed me that they have never heard about this issue before. From all the reviews I have read online, it seems that customer service is telling them the same thing. By not addressing this defect, Whirlpool will lose thousands of customers. This is not the way to retain or have returning customers. This is the first time I have purchased a Whirlpool appliance. I will not be a returning customer if this matter is not resolved.

Havent even had the Cabrio washer for three years & Ive hated it since day one!!! First, our clothes dont come out clean OR come out with white streaks (changed soap, still happened!). Washing bedding is a nightmare! They are sopping wet & I have to wring it out. Finally broke down today & the repairman quoted over $600 to fix (paid $800). Take this piece of junk away!!! It cost me less to replace than get fixed; way to help the environment!

This machine has had so many repairs that whirlpool should of replaced it. Now the machine is making a clicking sound when you turn it on to do a load of wash. It clicks for a few minutes then tries to sense whats in the machine then starts clicking again. Clothes come out of machine half wet. Queen sheets are dry in the middle. Water NEVER even touch the middle of the machine drum. All around nightmare with this machine. Would not buy another whirlpool because the customer service that I was given was terrible.

We purchased Whirlpool Cabrio 8.8 cubic ft Electric Dryer with Steam Cycles (Chrome Shadow) Energy Star Model WED8500DC and Whirlpool Cabrio 5.3 cubic ft High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer with Steam Cycle Model WTW8500DC and have had no issues at all, only personal issues, such as me being 54 tall and cant reach the bottom of the washer tub to take out all my clothes, so my husband helps, he is 5 9 tall and can reach in it fine, so we do laundry together now! We have washed very small loads to large loads such as, bedding sets without any issues at all. We love the gorgeous look as well. We have only owned these since November 2015... so about 4 months now, but we are completely satisfied! We have always owned Whirlpool, our old set we bought in 1998 and they finally gave out in 2015! Whirlpool for life for us!

I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine in 2010. I hate it 100%. I have never used bleach in the machine. I use liquid detergent only. 2 things happen every day: #1: When I wash a load of colors, I take them out when complete and there is dry white powder like substance over the black clothes. It looks dirty but it just got washed. #2 About once a week, I will pull something out of the washer and there is a bleach spot on it. The last item that this happened to was a $200 sweater. It went in the garbage. This should never of happened with an $800 washing machine.

We acquired the Cabrio Six Sense washing machine through the purchase of our new home, and quickly realized why it was left behind. This thing is pretty and has lots of bells and whistles, but that is where it ends. I am very surprised to find out that Whirlpool put such a piece of junk out for purchase. I have owned Whirlpool products in the past and had great performance and quality. We will be pulling this hunk of junk from our laundry room and installing the GE washer that we already owned immediately. Anyone want a free washer?

CABRIO GETS A ZERO RATING. We are sorry we ever bought this washer in 08. The unit had a defective main control board and was replaced in 2012. The factory authorized service agent from A&E literally robbed us of jewelry while in our home. Now the main electronic control board needs to be replaced again. Neither Whirlpool or their authorized agents are truly customer service oriented on the defective product. Neither are willing to make an honest attempt at regaining our trust. I have contacted both and neither will acknowledge or offer reconciliation. The problem with the main board and the recurrent F-50 error has been denied by Whirlpool although acknowledged in numerous consumer forums as this. Our family is now without a wash machine. We have not even received a simple apology for the theft from the service agency - even though their employee has been arrested. BEWARE!

I bought my Whirlpool top loading washing machine 07-22-14. I so dislike the locking mechanism and will be certain to never, ever buy a machine with that feature again. It is so irritating to try to add something but cant because its locked so have to hold the button 3 seconds to unlock and start all over. If there was any way to get around it I would. I will stay away from Whirlpool products in the future and will be sure to check the next time I buy that the lid of the washer can be lifted when not spinning. Also, I do not like that it sticks on rinse sometimes and the only way to end a cycle is to hold the button and then start over with much wasted water.

Whirlpool Duet $1300, in the past we had great service from other Whirlpool products. Just a more modern look and knowing it was a company we had used in the past with very little or no problems so we expected the same only with energy and water savings. We are energy aware and believe in conserving energy and water where we can. My wife wanted to stick with the brand that gave us good service in the past and chose one of their most conservative units on the market (I believe it was based mainly on looks). What burns me the most about this unit is its constant consumption of clothing, the repair guy found nothing askew with the unit and suggested smaller loads. So we reduced the load size smaller and smaller till we were washing each outfit separately and guess what, it still ate clothes, just chews them up.We lose about a hundred dollars a month in clothing. This washer tears holes and shreds clothing on almost every load, I have to put shirts and lighter clothes to the back of the washer then load the heavier blue jeans and such toward the front and hope they finish in the same position or something is ruined. The fabric becomes distressed, stretched, shredded or has holes, or any combination of the above. We have taken to going to a laundromat or sending clothes to the cleaners. These units are three years old and we are now looking for a replacement for the washer because the local service guy won’t even come out any more. This problem surfaced within a week of the first use of the machine and has remained steady, as we are retired and travel a lot we are not always using them so they are what I would term very lightly used.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8500DC0 - 2 months out of warranty, 14 months old. Motherboard fried. $300 if I do it myself. $550 to have it done. The unit was $780 on sale. Brand new piece of junk. Zero stars but thats not an option. Quite honestly, it doesnt clean very well and it doesnt rinse very well so we have to rinse twice to get the smell out if we use bleach. So whats the sense in buying a high efficiency washer? I work outdoors and weve had cheap washers in the past that clean much better and lasted many years.

This washer is going back. It simply will not spin the water out of the clothes. It says it gets clothes drier than a conventional washer, but I have not found that to be true. I have to use the drain/spin cycle over and over and still the clothes are wet. I had the repair crew out and they were able to get it to spin out a very small load consisting of two sheets and two towels. Other than that, it does not spin out water. It is also very difficult to load if you attempt to leave the center open as they recommend. The cycles are very long. Not being able to look inside without pausing it and waiting for it to unlock is also a huge hassle. I am getting one with a glass top so I can see what is going on. If you leave it open for too long, it cancels the cycle and drains all the water, and you have to start over which is another problem because all your detergent just got drained out before the load gets going. It uses so little water on most of the cycles that the clothes get totally tangled up with one another. I think you should be able to choose the water level manually. I am all for saving water but if I want more water from time to time, this does not allow you to do that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The Cabrio top load washing machine is a piece of junk, an expensive piece of junk. The only way someone could give this machine a good review is if they work for Whirlpool or they think beating clothes up against a rock in the filthy Ganges River makes them clean. We purchased the HE top loader because we were told that all the problems of the front loaders had been worked out in the new top loaders. What a joke. At least the front loader I had, cleaned the clothes. Since we got the glass top model, I made a movie that shows several items of clothes just sitting on top, not getting wet, not getting moved around, not getting rinsed; therefore, not getting clean. After the wash cycle spins down, the clothes are pinned up against the side and the rinse barely touches them before its final spin. We have several items that had stains left from the soap - yes, we used HE soap, Im not stupid. Never again will I waste my money on a Whirlpool product or anything from Best Buy.

Cabrio WTW8200YWO - We purchased this washer five years ago. About a year ago it started getting noisier and noisier on spin cycle. Now it sounds like a jumbo jet taking off. A Google search quickly revealed this is a ubiquitous problem with these washers. As we are in our 70s and dont have kids at home, we are very light users of the washer. First, I would suggest that no one buy this washer. Second, I suggest that Whirlpool should recall these washers. I called Whirlpool and it turns out they clearly know about this issue. The good news is they will offer you a discount on repairs or even on a new machine. The bad news is it will still cost you several hundred dollars to fix their design defect. I suggest that you avoid purchasing Whirlpool products both because of their defective design and because of Whirlpools unwillingness to take responsibility for these problems.

A few weeks after we bought it, the washer was already having issues spinning out, and the clothes would have to go through another rinse and spin cycle. A bout a year and a half in and I had to replace the pump because it stopped draining. Even carefully loading the machine, and at least two or three times a week it would not spin out. Two weeks ago it stopped agitating actually performing washing action and spinning out all together. Last night I replaced the actuator which controls the speed or lack thereof in the spin. Still nothing. Ive reset it multiple times, still nothing. At least the clothes are getting wet. At tax return time I am replacing this piece if garbage and I will never get another whirlpool, or Maytag washer again because from what I have been told by dealers and repair men; they are all garbage.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Set from a local store. Just over a year later, the washer got very loud like a jet engine. Called the registered repairman, he came out took a look and said he would get back to me. Called him 3 times over 3 weeks, no show (Hoodland Appliance). Called someone else, repaired it for $400.00. Called Whirlpool, they are not interested. 2 years later now and the machine is getting loud again. This is due to the spin throws water up and it is able to get out of the tub and down into the barring and the soap residue wears the barring out. Bad design. I bought a Maytag front load washer on October 24, 2010. I have not been able to use it because it came damaged by the manufacturers. I contacted them by phone several times and it took them three months to send someone (A and E sears repair). Two months passed and I did not get the parts necessary or a replacement washer. I kept calling and finally they sent someone again in May 2011. They said they where going to order the parts because the new company was not going to replace the machine, even though it was already damaged. They said I would get the parts between three-five business days. I only got one part. A and E sent a repair guy again on the 22nd of June. This one said they needed the entire machine in parts and that he would order the parts. I called A and E one week later and they said they were waiting for the on manufacturer to send the parts (Whirlpool). The 26th and the 27th of July, I got the parts. On the 22nd of July, another repairman came and said we needed more parts. Today, August 16, 2011, I called Whirlpool and A and E and now they said the parts wont be here till after October 26, which by then I would have to pay for the parts and labor if I wanted it fixed because by then the one-year warranty would have expired. I had the bearing go bad in the tub after a few years of service. It cost hundreds of dollars. As an engineer, I look at this and it is a design made to fail. The seal design is inferior compared to old washers that had a shaft seal made to be on a spinning shaft. This is a rubber lip seal that is going to wear because it is using washer as a very bad lubricant! When the seal goes bad, and it will, the water runs down to the bearings and destroys them, and you have the replace the whole tub as a $300 part!

From the very beginning the washing machine did not clean the load. It doesnt even get the load completely wet. The best you can hope for is to utilize lots of fabric softeners to at the least make your clothes smell clean because they surely wont be. Dont even get me started on the load lock feature because it serves no purpose other than to drive you batty. Whirlpool Cambridge Model #WTW7300DW0 - Someone needs to help us consumers with this wash machine purchase being refund our money back from Whirlpool. It literally eats my clothes. I have 23 shirts that have pin holes in them and 1 shirt with large holes in it. I also have a ruined comforter and blanket. The comforter has soap stains everywhere which dont come out so its not cleaning the clothes, the blanket (which Ive had for over 30 years) was frayed one side, seam torn off - the piece never came out of the wash machine. I have pictures attached of the damaged. Its suppose to be Water Efficient - thats a joke! I do 1 set of king sheets. It runs for an hour and 20 minutes and fills water to the rim of the washer and does this twice. Id like them to pay for my water bills! Oh they came to service it only to tell me I was putting the clothes in wrong. The service company said I had to put the clothes against the sides and leave the middle open. They told me there was nothing wrong but consumer error. Well I did clothes today and aligned them like the service company said - 4 more shirts were ruined. Called Whirlpool today. They said they were sending someone else out to fix the problem and said, Unfortunately, we dont pay for damaged goods. Well from all the reviews I read Whirlpool needs to suck it up and recall this piece of crap they call a wash machine. Did I mention its only 1 year old, yea this is horrible!

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio H2Low from Sears 6 years ago. After numerous problems with clothes not getting clean (soap spots, stain transfers, etc) I learned the only setting I could use that actually cleaned was bulky with an extra rinse (so much for the energy efficiency). My first major repair was in the first year. Weve since had 3 more and the darn thing died again this morning. First the motherboard died and needed replacement, the drain pump failed, the door lock failed, and twice now it stopped spinning. At first I thought maybe I was just unlucky and bought a defective machine but repair sites are filled with reports of similar problems with these machines. I purchased Duet washer 3 years ago, but it wasnt installed until a little over a year and a half ago. Machine started making loud noise during spin cycle, and eventually would not spin the water out of the machine. I contacted Whirlpool and was told there was a defect in that particular WP model and if it was confirmed by a provided tech, WP would provide the parts for the repair. The tech confirmed the problem, and I was told the repair would still cost over $450, even with the free parts. When I approached WP and asked them to fix the machine since it was a known defect, it was denied that there was a defect.

I purchased a Cabrio high efficiency washer in 2011 and have had the glass top lid crack twice. The hinge is rusted, shedding rust all over the corner of the washer. It is a design flaw, for I see others have had the same problem with this particular year. I have also looked at the newer versions of the Cabrio and the lids have been redesigned. This lid should be recalled and replaced with a newer version, because this lid will always rust and crack with use.

I purchased a Whirlpool CABRIO H2Low top load washing machine approximately 12-15 months ago from Lowes in Columbus, GA. I have been very dissatisfied with it from the beginning. I contacted Lowes and discussed the machine and expressed my complaints. I realize that it has a sensor and fills the machine with the amount of water according to the weight of the clothes but have found that regardless of what cycle I place the machine in, it doesnt place over 2 inches of water in the machine. It does not clean the linens, under garments or any type clothes. In fact, it has ruined my designer clothes. It is impossible to get the wrinkles out with an iron. Im very disappointed in the service we have received with this washer.

Cabrio Washer WTW6600SW1 - We purchased this washing machine back in January of 2007 and have had nothing but issues with it. We thought Whirlpool was an upstanding brand and weve found out otherwise. They havent stood behind their product or the issues we have had along with all the other people. There has been a Facebook page about the Famous F1 error code. We have had numerous other error codes we have had to pay to have someone come out to fix. We paid almost $700 for this machine and have had to pay out several hundred more dollars just in repairs. Not worth the money and the company doesnt deserve to be in business if they dont back their product. I get buying a warranty, but if they are same problem with so many machines, it sounds like a manufacturing defect to me.

Whirlpool Washer W10740628A - So disappointed! I have made adjustments for a year trying to get clean clothes from this machine. Compared to my previous machine which wore out, I now use more water because only deep water wash provides enough water; I always choose double rinse because if the machine does not clean, I do not trust it to rinse effectively either. I use more Tide than previously per wash; I use more Clorox than previously per wash. Everything from tea towels to heavily soiled jeans show stains and soils after washing. Instructions say not to spread the item in the washer but allow it to stack on itself, so twisted and tangled wet clothes are the result. I try to soak and scrub all visible dirt before I start the machine now; additionally, I use a mop or plunger or my hands to thoroughly immerse the clothes in the washer, somewhat like my mother did in 1950s. What on earth is this about and what is the buyer supposed to do???

The washing machine is so loud when it is on, drowning out conversations esp when cooking or eating (it’s located in the kitchen). The machine tumbler has to be constantly readjusted no matter the size of the wash or how many times my husband or myself adjust the tumbler; consequently the washing machine is always dancing, making a horrible banging noise. The washer is under 6 years old. With that said, when you open it, the lip is all rusted out.

It does not do great with cleaning the clothes and they smell when they come out of the washer. Do you have any suggestions. It does not fill with enough water even when using the deep water mode. I submitted a complaint several days ago about my 3-year old Whirlpool Duet washer not working and costing $550 to fix. I decided to just replace it so my husband unhooked it this morning. We were going to to try to sell it on Craigslist as is. I pulled out the laundry detergent compartment to clean it because I had filled it with detergent and fabric softener the other day. The smell that came from inside the washer where the detergent is dispensed was awful. I looked inside and it was completely filled with mold. I had periodically run the clean cycle with bleach but apparently this did nothing. I am writing this second review to warn people about this. I am going to just trash the washer now and I hope this has not affected our health in any way. For those of you who are thinking about purchasing this washer or one similar, I strongly urge you to stick with the plain old top loader. That is what I am going back to.

We purchased the Cabrio Agi top loading washing machine in 2011 (3 years ago). After 2 years it started leaking from the plastic drum (Bearings?). Luckily we have it in the basement on concrete floor, so there was no damage, just frustration. This was poor purchase on our part. We should have searched for more reviews. The wash time is ridiculous; it is too long, an average of 50 minutes per load. I dont know about how clean the clothes were, I guess they were OK. I didnt notice a smell, or them looking dingy. The Cabrio is a piece of junk if the bearings went out after 2 years?? We just purchased a heavy duty Speed Queen, top loading, agitator washer. My wife loves this, its like the old Maytag we had. They told us they wont be selling these washers after next year. Buy them while you can. The Cabrio is headed to scrap yard.

I have a 1 year old Whirlpool washing machine (Model: WFW94HEXSW Serial:C04151969). The grease from the drum is found to be the cause of clothes being ruined during the wash cycle. I waited over 3 months for a replacement. The drum arrived broken. I ordered again, and it was then said to be on back order. The water shut off developed a slow leak, causing the water to fill, and flow out the front door, causing carpet damage. We have been forced to throw away good clothes, and pay to have our clothes washed, at a not so local laundromat. We feel it would be more than reasonable to have our washer replaced, and professionally installed immediately.

Horrible. We purchased the set In October 2010. It worked great for a little over a year. (Go figure, just out of the manufacturers warranty.) The washer stopped spinning out water. Every other cycle completes successfully. The diagnostic cycle is also successful but once there is clothes in the machine, it wont spin. I called customer service and was told that a one year warranty was $230 and service is $130 plus parts. What a horrible experience. I purchased a Whirlpool Duet HE Front Loading Steam Washer in 9/9. I have used it no more than 15 times. It has an error code F70. I called Whirlpool and used one of their recommended technicians. He was there for no more than five minutes and he informed me that it was one of the two parts--one is $300, the other is $500. Both these parts are computer chips. He instructed me to call Whirlpool stating that they would give me the parts for free. I did, and they refused stating that the product is now out of the one-year warranty. This is clearly defective. I am now faced with $1,000 fix. I feel that I was further misled by Whirlpool because they should have told me before the service call that I was going to have to pay $1,000. The customer service reps and the manager were both unresponsive and rude.

ECO friendly top load Whirlpool washing machine - I bought this machine September 2013. Now it has a continuous clicking sound. It appears to be the lid locking mechanism and the washing machine will not turn on. It is under warranty and I am finding it hard to get a repair service in my area that is directed to Whirlpool to come and fix it. The only appliance repair in our area states that they will charge for trip and service if they find that is not a defect within the Whirlpool perimeters. I could be charged up to $200 for trip and service which is half of what I paid for. Whirlpool states this is not the case, and I am now having to wait a week to even set up yet another appointment. The beat goes on. My Cabrio washer is still down. After working for a mere 14 months, the control board died, and the machine would not spin out water. The repairman ordered a new one. Though the part arrived several days earlier than predicted, the repair service said they could not send anyone out, until our scheduled appointment. At last, today, the repairman arrived. I am ready to start whittling down the mountains of laundry we have stuffed in every closet. Some areas of my house are starting to smell like a locker room. It is not convenient for us to haul everything to a laundromat, or impose on a relative who lives nearby. The repairman was in the laundry room for at least 45 minutes, and then very apologetically tells us that the part is bad. It will not work at all. He has ordered a new one, and requested rush service, which I think they will ignore. I cant help but think these parts are manufactured somewhere outside the USA. Well, listen to this Whirlpool, I would rather pay $25 more for this part, and have your washing machine work. Dirty laundry might seem unimportant to you. It is not unimportant to us! If you cant do better than this, make something else. I am furious, and will spread this news to everyone I know, and I will report on this situation again.

Weve had this washing machine only a few years, and our household of 2 probably averages 1 load of laundry per week. Weve always had the same problem everyone has with the detergent stains on clothing and having to rewash loads, and the only remedy weve found was using the oversized loads setting and rewashing a load. The last straw was 6 months ago. It quit going through a complete cycle and would not spin out without resetting it. Then it quit spinning out at all. Service Guard, a 3rd party warranty company, diagnosed a faulty motor and ordered a replacement. After a long delay Whirlpool advised it was back-ordered for 3 months. A week ago Whirlpool advised them it was now back-ordered until 5-27. They did not know whether wed ever obtain a replacement motor. After taking clothes to our sons house for a couple months to wash, we purchased another used machine to use until ours is repaired. It is beginning to appear that machine may be our permanent machine. This is a pretty sad testimonial about whirlpool. We have always used Whirlpool appliances but appears we may have to switch brands. And it certainly does appear these low water machines are garbage. Very disappointed in Whirlpool.

If you want clean clothes dont buy this machine(Cabrio Washer)! First of all I find that my clothes have dry spot on them when I pull them out of the machine. Whirlpools response is that the machine spins at such a high rate that the cloth will actually seem dry. Doesnt make sense to me that a shirt that has another garment on top of it gets dry in an unexposed area. I have also been told to always use the high water setting. This helps but the clothes still are not clean. Also my dark slacks come out with residue lines on them - Whirlpools solution; never wash anything in cold water. In addition the machine is very noisy. It sounds like the water pipes are being kicked out of the wall. And forget about washing a king size comforter as advertised, a twin comforter doesnt get clean or even thoroughly wet and residue lines are left behind. Hate this machine! So glad I didnt buy the extended warranty since my attempts to have them stand behind this product have failed. I feel the money would be better used towards a different brand.

I cannot get any service (under 1-year manufacturers warranty) because the sticker inside the door with the model and serial # is missing (i.e., it was sold to me by Homedepot.com without a serial # on the door label, sticker is intact and is brand new and apparently was printed without a serial #).I made multiple calls to Whirlpool in Benton Harbor, Michigan and finally spoke with Courtney (who states she was a supervisor) pretty much said all they will do is to reprint a label from the factory and I should have it in 7-10 business days. They refuse to stand behind their product and authorize timely repair of their product they sold to my without a serial # on the door tag from the factory. I have to wait to schedule factory warranty repair until I get the new label (probably 3 weeks plus without a usable washer). Courtney refused to contact me via email for any of her contact information or to supply verification of conversation or promise of a new factory label. Also, she refused to try to authorize any type of manufacturers warranty to fix the brand new unusable washer!

On Saturday afternoon, March 31 at 4:30 PM Eastern Time, my roper washer that was purchased on April 17, 2011 overflowed from the top. Water went into the air ducts and completely fried my security system. My husband was out of town at this time on business. The water went into the terrace level of my house and ruined the carpet, walls and ceiling. The restoration and insurance companies came immediately and were a tremendous help. I felt very safe with them even though they were in my house until 1:00 AM Sunday morning. My husband and I visited our Lowe’s store where we had purchased the washer. They told us to contact Whirlpool which we did on Monday, April 2. We were assured by Whirlpool that we would have a Whirlpool employee in our home to fix the washer. We were also told that we could not move the washer. After speaking with a Whirlpool representative, we received an email confirming the repair person would be in our home on Wednesday to repair the washer. During this time, I had to go to the laundry to wash clothes. This cost me $26.00. On Wednesday afternoon when no one had shown up to repair the washer, my husband had to call Whirlpool only to be told that the repairman would not be coming but he would be there on Thursday between 10:00 and 1:00. He arrived at 12:45 and the nightmare began. He had an “I dont care” attitude and if my husband had not been at home, I would have been very uncomfortable. After looking at the washer, he said a part would have to be ordered and it would be the next week before he could fix it. I asked him what I was to do about clothes to be washed. He replied go to the laundry, he was just the repairman. He also said I could use the washer but not to put a full load. On Tuesday night, April 8th, I was washing and I had the washer on medium load and the washer started leaking from the bottom. We still have not heard from the repairman, today is Thursday. Also, my husband and I work outside the home. It would have been so much easier to have the washer replaced but instead we have to wait. We had a washer to be delivered on Tuesday, April 2nd, but we are still waiting on them. Most of the restoration work other than the washer has been completed. Thank you.

I bought a HD Whirlpool in April 2011 and I hate the machine. It does not use enough water to wash clothes. I open the lid every wash and cannot believe Whirlpool can label this as a washing machine; it spits a little water now and then. I am demanding Lowes and Whirlpool to replace the washer. I have used two Kenmore washer for 45 years and I never had any problems. I use hot water to kill germs -- well there is not enough water to drown a fly. How can these manufacturers sell such product and then give the consumer such a hard time when they ask for help. Dark clothes have white residue stuff all over them. I have to hand-wash a lot of my clothes. I have never in 45 years had to do this. I am so mad that Whirlpool is taking everyone for suckers. Now I am sure that there are a lot of people who just never take the time to complain; too much trouble and just go buy another brand of machine. We consumers need to demand that manufacturers sell quality products.

I purchased this Whirlpool washer (model WTW7600XW2) on October 2011. Fabric softener dispenser is full of water at end of cycle. Repairman has replaced parts three times, but the problem is still not corrected. Today, I talked with a Whirlpool supervisor. She says this is normal. She told me to take the cup out and empty it. The cup is not removable, so she said I could blot it out with a cloth or sponge. I paid $800.00 for a washer with an automatic fabric dispenser that I must empty manually. I have used whirlpool appliances for 50 years of marriage, but this is my last one. I am very disappointed with customer service.

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer from Home Depot. It started making noises
Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer from Home Depot. It started making noises on the spin cycle 2 months after the purchase. A technician came out and concluded it was a clothes hanger behind the machine making the noise. False. Two days later I tried to wash a load. All the panel lights came on. And then the machine died. No power. The tech came out and tried to run tests but the machine would not respond correctly. Informed it has a bad control. The machine will malfunction even if a button is pressed too long. And then its repairman time again. This machine is poorly designed. No doubt whoever designed the digital control panel did not think about ease of use. The tech has to recalibrate the controls after every failure. Whirlpool and Maytag have put out a bad product and this will be my last.

I had bought from S C Shah & Co, Mylapore a Whirlpool ac 1 ton split magicool dlx cop in March 2016 and installed in March 29 2016 by Cool Control System, kodambakkam From the installation period we had a cooling issue and informed Shah & Co, Mylapore where we bought the ac. They came and checked and informed Whirlpool customer care. Within two months i.e. in May 2016 of installation Whirlpool again uploaded/charged the gas (the service engineers told us this is due to hot summer). Though again we had a cooling issue, we were under the impression as this is due to summer as explained by the technician. After that rainy season came and we didnt use the ac.As we are in December when we complained Whirlpool they said this is due to the copper wire gas is leaking and it has to be replaced and informed that though under WARRANTY, the customer has to pay for replacement (we have used only the 3 mtr copper wire which came with the ac only. we have not used any our own copper wire). Whether WHIRLPOOL GIVES SUCH A QUALITY COPPER WIRE which has to be replaced within 9 months. Now they are informing that you are calling us after 6 months of gas charging, so we cannot service. If you could have called within 3 months we could have serviced you. BUT WE ARE UNDER WARRANTY. NOT EVEN AN YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.Not responding to calls, disconnecting to the calls even if we call their Delhi number 011-49308500. Though under warranty they are not ready to do service and very rude saying, we cant do anything. So, if we buy WHIRLPOOL ac we have to beg them even for their technicians to visit our place. Or we have to do our own service EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. Their local toll free customer care numbers/service executives always give a recorded message saying they cannot service. SUCH A PATHETIC SERVICE.

Whirlpools front load washers do not have easy access to the drain pump filter. The entire front of the machine including the door has to be taken off to access the filter. When putting washer back together the parts are cheap and screws break. Most companies that sell front load washers provide easy access to the drain pump filter. Buy one of those instead of a Whirlpool and you will save yourself a lot of time and hassle.

We purchased a Whirlpool washer model WTW7500 in November of 2017. I found the clothes were not getting clean and also noticed that even after a full wash some parts of the clothing or sheets had dry spots! I checked all connections and called for service. As soon as the serviceman saw the machine he said, “yes, that’s a problem with those machines”. They are low water/water saving as per some American regulation and that’s what happens... you’re going to have to live with it. He also suggested running an extra rinse and using “deep water” function. I did this and it made very little difference except now a wash cycle for bedding is 104 minutes! Also, still had a big dry spot on my sheets! When I called again to Whirlpool they scheduled another repairman for a second opinion, turned out to be the same person with the same answers... I called Whirlpool again and was informed that my washing machine is working as designed! I argued that a washing machine is designed to wash and clean clothes so this one does not do what it is designed for... I spoke to the supervisor, she was actually just rude, also said I not had 30 days to make a complaint and I was outside of that, when I asked to speak to her supervisor she said there was no one above her although she denied being the owner of Whirlpool! (That’s my little joke). Anyway wish someone had warned me prior to this purchase.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load washing machine September of 2012. It has never cleaned the clothes well. For the last month the machine has a very loud spin cycle. I am very unhappy with this purchase and it is 2 months out of warranty. I emailed WHIRLPOOL and was told that all appliances have problems and wear out. WOW! It is 14 months old and has been used with care. I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

Whirlpool cabrio wtw7800xwo - During the 12th month of the use of this wash
Whirlpool cabrio wtw7800xwo - During the 12th month of the use of this washer, the lid broke. I called Whirlpool to schedule a repair on it. I got someone here to repair it, and it was 7 days over the 1 year warranty. I don’t think this is fair when they sent the repair guy out too late when I scheduled this right before the 1 year was up. I came about looking this up online, and I find I’m not the only one with a 1 year lid. My next washer will be a 1980s built to last. This was the worst $1,100 I ever spent. I had to choose 1 star. Wish it had a choice of - ★★★★★.

I am a very unhappy owner of a Whirlpool Cabrio Model: wtw5640xw0 & mat
I am a very unhappy owner of a Whirlpool Cabrio Model: wtw5640xw0 & matching Dryer. About 4 years ago, my husband chose to replace our 11 year-old Maytag Performa Washer & Dryer instead of fixing a part that needed to be replaced in the Washer. I was upset with the very first load of laundry in the Cabrio and I was extra upset that my husband had junked my perfectly awesome working Performa Dryer. )-: First of all, the Cabrio set is Extremely LOUD! Secondly, I often have to wash loads more than once because they do not get clean the first time. Next, the Washer is Always knocked off balance. Ive resorted to using the settings on the Washer with the low spin every time, no matter how light the load. And, now there is something wrong with the lid lock mechanism (which has always sucked anyway), but this is a new problem... I was just checking on the internet to try to figure it out when I stopped to write this review. The lid will not lock & the lid lock light wont go off, so the Washer wont do anything at all! I can not express enough what a piece of junk this Washer is & Im never going to allow my husband (who doesnt even do the laundry) to choose my Washer & Dryer again!

I bought a Whirlpool washer WTW4800XQ top loader. I have owned it for about two years and now it has tore up, the repair bill will cost almost what I paid for the washer. I feel it is bad business to sale something and it not last any longer than it has. No one should have to buy a washer every two years!!!! When it gets to the spin cycle it works fine and then all of a sudden it will beat and bang and if you dont get it stopped it will be in the middle of the floor. Im very upset and put out with Whirlpool!!!!

This machine is 18 months old. First it failed to drain (LD code). Ran diagnostics and found the drain pump ($60) failed. The Mexican part was replaced with an Italian part. Two weeks later, the infamous F1 code flashed - control board. I sourced a new one. I ran one load and another F1 code is flashing. These are $150 electronic parts. Fuhgetaboutit. Im sending this ** to the dump and going back to electromechanical controls. I had a Maytag that lasted 15 years.

I purchased a Whirlpool front loading washer from PC Richards in January of
I purchased a Whirlpool front loading washer from PC Richards in January of 2010. The warranty was only for one year (the washer was new, not used). The model # is WFW9050XW. Anyway, the washer had to be repaired by PC Richards twice in the first year I had it. Once because the belt that makes the washer spin broke, then because the pump got clogged. Unfortunately, when you wash your clothes, your socks and underwear can get sucked into the pump. After that warranty expired, I purchased a warranty from my utilities company (PSE&G). I have had to contact them four times for repairs to this machine. The most recent problem is my clothes are still wet after the washer stops. I actually have to wring them out by hand to get the excess water out. When I contacted my utilities company about servicing the washer, I was informed that if the repair is more than the washer is worth they dont have to fix it. I canceled the repair and now got to the laundrymat. I figured if I wait until the end of the year, maybe the repairs wont seem excessive. I contacted Whirlpool about the problems and was informed that I should have been using a garment bag to wash my socks and underwear in. More or less the person I spoke with made it seem as though it was my fault the machine sucked up my underwear and socks. I, on the other hand, disagreed with her. I told her the washer should have been build so that it would not suck up these items. I was so totally pissed off I ended the conversation. I also informed her that I would not be purchasing any other appliances manufactured by Whirlpool or Maytag as they are affiliated. They obviously have no integrity when it comes to their product. However, I am totally baffled. Why do the Maytag machines work better and last longer than the Whirlpool machines? The washer I replaced was a Maytag. I had that machine for 17 years!!!!

Agreeing with many. How disturbing to buy a Cabrio Whirlpool washing machin
Agreeing with many. How disturbing to buy a Cabrio Whirlpool washing machine about 5 years ago. I might as well go down to the river and wash my clothes. The bearings went out which means I have to be the spin cycle. I am hanging out my clothes on the line - very wet - until my husband buys the part and fixes it himself. I had my maytag for 25 years. An awesome, dependable machine that we laid to rest because of rust. We should have gotten another drum instead of buying this machine. Where are the engineers that are making dependable appliances to last a LONG time? We have not gotten smarter. Or we only care about the all mighty dollar. Make something to last a short time so that you have to buy again. We will do some extensive research the next time we buy a washing machine. Do not buy this machine!

Bought this machine at Lowes as it was recommended by the salesperson. The machine broke down in 2 months due to a control module. Besides that, the clothes do not get clean! They come out with all the stains still on them. The water does not even get the clothes wet! And they smell. Called Whirlpool up and they sent out tech 2x and said there was nothing wrong. Went back to Lowes and they will not honor my claim to replace the unit. I now have to purchase a new machine since this one is useless. Never will I buy a Whirlpool again and dont you either!!!
