Product Reviews:

It worked well at first and then the inside drum came loose from the frame. It started leaving white material all over cloths from the lining or glue that held drum in place. Water was coming out all over our floor. Was satisfied until it broke. Parts were too expensive to repair it so had to buy another washer instead and did not buy the same brand washer. I love the look and front load door. It was pretty dark, red colored, and still looked new when it broke down. Loved how easy it was to control. Not happy with the perceived value because parts were priced so high that it's not worth it to fix or repair them. You are better off buying a new one.

We a LG front load machine WM3250HWA from Home Depot, washer didn't last 2 months and now we're stuck with a brand new washer that does work! The washer locked and we couldn't get the door open and it was full of clothes and water. Home Depot wouldn't replace it cause it was a few days past 1 months and they couldn't fix it. I will never, ever buy an LG product.

I had a Maytag washing machine replaced under warranty back in 2011 via Maytags Extended Service Plan. This took me several months to get done because of back and forth issues with Maytag not wanting to honor the replacement. Executive Support had to get involved after I wrote a complaint on this site. When they replaced this, they sent me forms to extend my warranty, which I did. They never changed the model or serial number so I've been paying for 2 years now for an extended warranty on a machine I do not own.The new washer broke and I called in for service on 11/18/13. Active Appliance was sent out, said it was an easy fix but they needed to order a part. On 11/20/13 they contacted me to tell me I needed to speak to Maytag because my Model/Serial didn't match with my warranty records. I double-checked these and called Maytag Extended Service and was told that I would need to speak to sales at 866-730-6094. I spoke to someone named Lindsey there who told me that I would need to send a letter in to cancel my policy and request a refund for the 2 years I'd been paying for a non-existent unit and that they could start a new policy for me and get a service order in without issue. My call was disconnected during this and when I called back, I was told to call back in the morning to get back to Lindsey because the office was closing and they couldn't do callbacks.I called back on 11/21/13 and spoke to Sam who verified that the letter was needed to cancel and refund but that I would have to pay for the repair to the washer myself and they'd tack on the cost of the new warranty onto that bill so I'd be covered AFTER THE FACT. Because the unit wasn't covered under warranty, I'd have to cover the costs myself and it had been MY responsibility, not theirs, to make sure that the correct model/serial was on the coverage.Maytag sent me the forms and I would expect them to have added the new information on it...not send me forms with my original washing machine information. Especially as this had been escalated to Executive Support and the person I dealt with there had gone over everything to make sure it all got handled in a satisfactory matter. So for now, I'm waiting for a callback from the original rep, Lindsey, but Maytag tends to Stonewall and not return calls so I'm dreading how long this entire process is going to take and cost.

This was the first new appliance that I had actually ever had and I purchased it in October of 2010. After four months, it started make a grinding sound. I called Whirlpool and the repair man replaced the motor. Approximately four months after that, the lid got stuck and the machine would not respond. Same routine as before, but this time the transmission was replaced. While the machine was apart, I noticed the white insulating panel from the bottom was brown in a spot and looked as if it had gotten hot. A month before the 1 year warranty expired, the washer started making an intermittent grinding sound nearly identical to the sound made when the motor went out. This time a different service company was sent out my Whirlpool and the said that nothing was wrong. Now, the machine is out of warranty and has stopped cleaning close and during the spin cycle the you can hear water running into the machine constantly. Last month's water bill shows a 40% increase in water consumption when nothing has changed to incur a larger bill. Seeing all these comments makes me wonder why the heck nothing is being done to force recalls on such poor products. Consumers should be treated with a lot more respect than this. I will never recommend a Whirlpool product to anyone I meet. In fact, I will strongly discourage anyone who is contemplating buying a Whirlpool washer machine.

Our front-loading washer, bought through Best Buy 6 months ago, has a soap dispenser that will not properly drain. LG customer service, now contacted 5-6 times, will not fix the problem without a "proper" paper receipt. Nothing I have is good enough for them. The most frustrating experience for a brand new appliance.

I also purchased an LG front load washer with all the bells and whistles. The first month, it worked fine, then clothes were coming out with holes in them and the color was gray and dingy. I have written at least five letters, and as yet have not received any written response. Upon calling, l was referred to repair or Best Buy. My warranty was not an issue, but l failed to get any results. It has been three years and l as a consumer will never purchase an LG product again. And interestingly enough, on the day it was delivered, the delivery guy stated, "Good luck as the machine is a piece of junk." He was absolutely correct.

The products are user friendly. They also don't break easy and last a long time. My washer is very good at washing which it is its job. My clothes come out clean. Both products are energy/Eco friendly.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Washer at the end of last year. Within 2 weeks, I knew it wasn't a good washer and asked my husband if we could return it. He said, "No." I don't like using the fabric softener dispenser, so I used to use a Downy ball. This washer doesn't spin hard enough to open the ball. I tried 3 separate times. Each time, the ball came out with the fabric softener in it at the end of the cycle just like it was when I put it in. It also doesn't get the clothes clean. I'm using chlorine bleach, detergent and OxiClean and our whites are gray. It doesn't get the simplest stain out and the soak feature is a joke. If you use the soak feature, the washer fills up, the lid locks, it soaks and then the water drains out. No spin or anything.Normally, on the old washers, you could just push the knob in to stop the agitation to soak something, but not now. The lid locks, which I can't stand, when the washer is working. I would like to see if it is agitating or to add more clothes if I want. I'm not sure who designed this washer, but they should go back to the drawing board. I've tried every cycle and none of them work well. It also takes an hour to wash a load of clothes. I'm just so disappointed with Maytag on every level. This was my first Maytag purchase and it will be my last.

My agitator-free washer began tearing small holes in my clothing and sheets about one year after purchase. I contacted Whirlpool and they sent out a service person, who ran a diagnostic test on the washer and said it was fine and I should learn how to wash clothes and load the washer, etc. The barrel of this washer has little holes and I believe that when it spins the clothing, some pieces may stick in one of those holes causing tearing. The service person also told me that my clothes were old. I guess that means this washer is not for washing old clothing. The tears in my clothing are in places that are very unlikely to tear, like the back of my jeans behind the calf of a leg, about half way up from the ankle. There are holes in my tee shirts at the bottom of the back. Even if I were a smoker, which I am not, I would not likely burn holes in those areas. Whirlpool obviously does not want to accept responsibility for this problem, even though there are many other people having the same problem with this type of washer.

0 stars ! We have had the LG front loading washer for several years and have tried all tricks to get rid of the moldy smell, like leaving the door open when not in use, to no avail. The repair man suggested we run a bleach load first to help kill the smell prior to doing the other loads, or just run it empty with bleach prior to using it. We bought it for its efficiency, not to waste energy! We have reached the end of our rope with this washer and feel it is irresponsible to even give it away due to the health concerns.
