At first the Maytag Bravos XL top load washing machine met all me expectations. After 3 yrs. the top where you load bleach and fabric softener began to rust. This is not covered under warranty. My last washer was a Whirlpool and had it 15 year and never had that issue. So it cant be from the water, just poor workmanship. Very disappointed. Now my lid came loose and is ready to fall off. Would not recommend.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos XL washing machine because I wanted a top loader that was water saving. This washer boasts of a 10 year commercial capacity so I thought I was buying a decent machine. Unfortunately I have had a very disappointing experience. From the start this machine has not cleaned clothes properly. We circle clothes around the agitator and only fill the machine a third of the way full. This is the only way to ensure clean clothes. We use HE soap.As if this hasn’t been bad enough, the entire motherboard seems to be glitching out. It throws a different code each load and sometimes won’t start. Other times it won’t stop. It isn’t safe to use when we aren’t home or are asleep, making the time delay feature useless. Last night the machine ran for 2.5 hrs on a 1hr 30 min estimated deep water wash. I finally turned off the power and let it drain out after it insisted it had 45 min for the last hour.... this thing is a total waste of money. Will never buy another Maytag!!!!

We purchased our Maytag Refrigerator Model # MBF2258DEHM on 12/21/2015. Just a couple of issues I would like to bring to your attention before you purchase your Maytag. The single refrigerator door does not close automatically. You have to close the door. The metal handle is metal and has a metal smell and feel to it. The stainless steel door and the handles are not the same finish. Although this might not be a problem for some who like the industrial look I prefer my hands to be free of chemicals while I am preparing food. The ice maker takes up too much room. The ice maker should have been an option, not a standard item. I had a Kitchen Aid for 10 years and loved it. I thought I was going to have my Kitchen Aid for 15 years or more. I would have purchased another Kitchen Aid, but the reviews were not good.

This is the absolutely worse washer I have ever owned! My clothes actually come out dirtier after they are washed. It leaves white stains on clothes that I have to scrub out by hand. Maytag you should be ashamed of yourselves for coming out with a washer like this. It takes me 2 or 3 times to wash clothes and I have to use the power wash, extra rinse, and maximum clean setting to even come close to cleaning. It is cheaper to take my clothes to the dry cleaner now than use the washer. I called Maytag numerous times, and they said that they will charge for a service call unless there is actually a mechanical issues. They will not honor repairing the machine if it does not wash clean. I will definitely NOT recommend this washer.

Perfect for me. It would be better if I had a space to put it without adjacent walls. Mine sits with the refrigerator door against a wall and I have to pull it out to the door space to open it wide enough to pull out the drawers to take them out for cleaning. Otherwise, it has worked very well for me by myself, for me and my husband when he was alive and for my son and his family and myself, and he has 5 children.

We are a family of three. We purchased our Washer and Dryer New, November 2011 at Lowes, in Lindale TX. I am disabled. I have had several spine surgeries and getting ready for another. I was injured at work and it left me crippled. I do not receive any benefits from my County Employer. My wife is a schoolteacher. We live on a limited income after my accident. We purchased this set with utmost confidence, our last set was twenty years old. We updated due to water, electric, and the environment. Our Maytags we had were still usable, it was just time for their retirement. They were hand me downs washer and dryer set. Truly! I dont know how old they were. When our washer started having troubles, it was making a horrible noise. We called Hughes Appliance. Theyre an authorized Maytag Repair Service Warranty Center. They sent Mark out we used them before. He stated the motor was not loctited from the factory. It worked its way loose almost coming completely off. This cost me a $85 service call. Mark also stated that the Tub Bearings were going out because off this. He called Maytag Customer Service and Dealer Warranty Service, said they wouldnt pay for the repairs or even the Service call for their factorys snotty WorkmanShip. I tried calling myself and got absolutely nowhere. I was polite, courteous and nice and they still Said, Sorry, We Know its less than three years old but thats the way it is. Sorry Sir! Have Nice Day! Its going to cost $389 to replace the tub bearings in top load washer. The washer only cost about 750 less than three years ago. Its the most expensive clothes washer Ive ever owned. One thing! If they dont make things right, I promise I will never own a Maytag again! And when I am in a store and see someone looking at their product I will make a point to tell them my situation and about my Maytag Washer. One thing is certain I can make sure young customer dont buy the wrong appliances while I sit patiently in my wheelchair waiting on my wife. Thanks Maytag! Its not What You Did For Me! If you are looking for the Maytag repairman he will be at my house Tues fixing my barely 1 yrs old dishwasher. This is ridiculous to pay this amount of money for the reputation that Maytag is known for or I will say was known for. $270.00 for a control panel. My last Maytag lasted over 30 yrs. Not made in the US - not built to last and this was told to me by the people that installed it so take it for what its worth. Look elsewhere. My last Maytag product.

The Maytag Centennial (Model MVWC6ESWW1) washer was purchased in September 2009 and within 18 months no longer provided water at the temperature selected on the control panel. The problem started after we used a spin setting to remove water from a cycle that did not complete itself. Somehow selecting a spin cycle disturbed the water temperature control mechanism. We were advised by Sears to unplug and then reattach the electrical connection (similar to rebooting a computer), but this was not successful in water being delivered to the washer at the temperature indicated on the control panel. While there was minor damage to clothing and a waste of hot water before we realized what was happening, the real inconvenience is not being able to rely on the water temperature setting. Based upon reading comments on the internet (including Consumer Reports) concerning this washer, the public should be warned not to purchase this machine. Better still the machine needs to be recalled in order to protect the consumer.

One baffle broke off in my washer. Very disappointed in this Maytag Model #MHWE201YW00 Serial #HL20102420. I purchased this in Sept 2012. Where the baffle was hooked on had sharp fins sticking out that ruined my 2 small rugs - shredded them.

Please save your money and do not purchase a the Bravos XL MCT Washer and Dryer! I am sickened by the fact that I spent $1,800 on the biggest pieces of junk there ever was. Youd think a company like Maytag would be able to build a product that worked properly. We are getting ready for our FIFTH visit by a service repair company that will only plug in their computers and say nothing is wrong. Well here is what is wrong: Washer does not rinse all of the soap and I have many, MANY, pieces of dark clothing that are ruined because of the white streaks all over. I have done EVERYTHING the service guys have said to do; use less soap; use the deep water wash cycle, etc. etc. There are only two of us in the household so my average load size fills the EXTRA LARGE drum maybe half full so all their advice hasnt worked. It does not rinse the water out of a load of towels (remember there are only two us so not that many towels) and I have to run it through a rinse and spin cycle. Waste of time, energy, AND money. I washed a single coverlet and had to run it through a rinse and spin cycle twice to get the water out! If you use the bedding cycle, it runs for 90 minutes and still doesnt spin all the water out! The dryer is not better either. On average, it takes one hour and ten minutes to dry 3 bath towels, a couple of hand towels and a wash cloth. One of the service people that came out, checked our dryer vent and said everything was hooked up correctly. Talk about a waste of energy!! I would do anything to get rid of these pieces of junk but we spent so much money on them Im stuck until I win the lotto or something! I cannot stress enough that you will be wasting your money if you buy any washer and/or dryer product from Maytag! Believe me, I regret it every day!

Rather than go through all the things I dont like about this washer, just read all the complaints because that is my complaints also: bearings, not enough water in tub, clothes not getting cleaned. Just check out the lint filter and see the gray and dirty lint after a load and you will see it doesnt clean the clothes. Now, the motherboard is kaput! Cycles are all screwed up. Cost is $386 for motherboard plus labor and I will not put one more cent in this piece of crap.Listening to the salesman and consumer reports on the best washer to buy. All they are concerned with is energy savings and believe me when I say that all energy savings products are a joke because you give up operating ability for the sake of energy savings-- true of refrigerators and washers, dryers, furnaces and the like. I will be buying an agitator washing machine. The saving on water are not enough to give up clean clothes.

The worst washer I have ever purchased. Clothes DO NOT come out clean, smell musty after washing. Have even decreased the amount of clothing per wash. Cant use bulk load function: throws LF Code - Bad water valve. I will NEVER buy or suggest anyone buy this piece of JUNK! Then to top it off you have to constantly chase the machine around due to wash load becoming unbalanced. Now today have to contend with a burnt smell...

The washer makes holes in my shirts. Odors like perfumes are still on the shirts when they come out. Does not wash great. The dryer is good but does not take out cat hair. My old machine washed a lot better than this new one. I have mold in where you dispense the cleaning product and the way it is made I cannot clean it. I am so disappointed with this product.

Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBW03 - We purchased this dishwasher in 2013. About 1.5 years after purchase the control panel started to get flaky and different settings wouldnt work. Not long after that it stopped working at all. I did some troubleshooting and found that the ribbon cable that connects the control panel to the control board was corroded due to water/steam getting to it. Since we were past the one year warranty I bought a new control panel and things worked fine for about a year, now the panel is going bad again. I contacted Maytag and they said they cant do anything to help me. This machine is not even 3 years old and going on its second control panel. I would recommend staying away from all Maytag products.

Maytag Model MDB7749SBW: Lights on control started flashing even when not it use, cycle lights varied, dishwasher would start on its own. Stopped at dealer and he said he never heard of problem. Checked online and found problem identified all over the internet. Called Maytag and they knew of problem and said they would send serviceman out to check. First trip free and parts would be free but I have to pay labor for second trip to repair. Dishwasher is just under 4 years old. Serial F31703877. Problem is corrosion on small flexible circuit at top of door. Same problem as others. Maytag states never been a recall!!! THIS CERTAINLY HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE A FIRE. Will never purchase another Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again. Poor quality and lies on the part of company and dealers as well.

Maytag products are a waste of money! I purchased a Maytag Front Load Washer a couple of years ago during the Cash for Clunkers rebate where we were asked to give up our reliable machines for so called energy efficient new models. After spending over $1,000 on this fancy front load machine and having it installed, I go to use it the first time and it won’t work. It took me a month to get someone to come and repair the bad board on it. I then started to use it and after a year, the thing started making a horrible loud noise. I called the repair folks and they told me it is out of warranty. I called a local repair guy who told me that the drum is shot and that it will cost $700 to repair. So I got a total of 10 months of use out of this stupid thing. Thats $100 a month to do my laundry! I would be better of dry cleaning! I have searched the web and see that this is a common issue and that Maytag refuses to make this right. Well, I can choose to never buy a Maytag again. I hope that others will heed our advice and do the same.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator and right away had a loud noise. Found out the ice maker was on even though we dont have it hooked up. Now our freezer isnt working. Food is defrosting and ruined. Bottom half of refrigerator is freezing everything. Our fruit and pop and water and lettuce all frozen. 4th time they came which is today. Now says our freon is low so well see what happens. The repairman was so rude he was yelling. We said our Popsicles turned to slush so he said, Dont buy any. He was so nasty. No more Maytag for us – waste of money. Even had the compressor replaced. Purchased my Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBM on 5/13. 3 weeks ago the panel went out! I found others have had the same complaint on their Maytag Dishwashers too! I also learned this model was discontinued from Home Depot. Is this because Maytag knows this Dishwasher was JUNK and that they allowed consumers to buy this model knowing it had these problems - I believe so! I find it absolutely crazy that Maytag has not issued a RECALL and now I am out almost $700 plus if I get it fixed or buy a new one, I am out even more $$! There has to be some RESPONSIBILITY taken from Maytag!!! This Company was built on an excellent reputation but now this company reputation is considered POOR for selling defective products and doing nothing about it!

I have had this washer just a little over a year and the sensor panel went out... For $600.00 it should not break right after the warranty goes out. Buyer Beware.

My washer is about one-year-old. Several months ago I noticed a brand new shirt was damaged after laundering. I thought it was inferior material. A couple of months later I saw a similar situation with another garment and started being more careful with the laundry settings using delicate, short, light washes, etc. The problem has happened a THIRD time to another garment. It appears this washer has a hunger for delicate jersey type fabrics. I started reading online and found out at it is indeed the action of the agitator and I need help rectifying the situation.

I would never buy a Maytag dryer again. It has been serviced 3x since purchasing in 2010.

Clothes are never submerged in water. Clothes come out worse than when they went in. Every review and complaint mentioned is dead on! This Bravos XL is a piece of crap. Stay away from lying salesmen from HH Gregg. And stay away from Maytag. Perhaps we should all get together and file a class action lawsuit! And donate all monies, washing machines and dingy clothes to charity!

Terrible! First and last frontload washer I will ever have. Seems like every other load will not spin clothes dry no matter how many times you rebalance. You have to add more clothes or take some out dripping wet to finish the cycle. Most annoying appliance I have ever owned.

Our current dishwasher was already installed when we purchased this house. It is adequate, however, it does not do a great job with caked-on food. This means that the worst dishes need to be pre-cleaned.

April 26, 2011, I purchased a Maytag top and bottom fridge from Home Depot. After a few days, I noticed frost starting to form in my frost-free freezer and the fridge wasnt really that cold. I adjusted the dials thinking that may do the trick. Nothing changed, it was all the same and instead, frost was thicker. I contacted Maytag, which by the way was taken over by Whirlpool. I told them my situation and since I had just bought the fridge, I wanted a new replacement. They told me things didnt work that way, that I had to honor the warranty. Fine, we are almost entering October now. I have had several services calls, I have written to the Better Business Bureau, I have lost a few hundred dollars worth of food for it would be full of ice and had to be thrown out, I have contacted the executive offices of Whirlpool but they, along with the Better Business Bureau are not doing a thing. Tomorrow, once again, I am having a service call and once again, I know the issue will not be fixed. All I wanted was to either get my money back, along with extra for the loss of food or for them to just exchange it for another one, since this one was purchased with a problem. I really dont think that its right that they are able to get away with this. Just looking at this page, I see that there are plenty of people with this same issue. What is being done about it? We purchased our Maytag dishwasher from Nebraska Furniture Mart in February 2013. The touch panel on our Maytag dishwasher quit working in December 2014, several lights would come on or flash or not work at all. The first repairman that we had come out took the panel apart, cleaned it up and put it back together ($100). It started working again but a few days later it started doing the same thing again. So I called the repairman back and he said the touch panel would need to be replaced. He called all over Omaha and no one had the part in stock. He called the Chicago Maytag warehouse and was told by them that they were out of them because there were so many defective dishwashers that they used them all. Now they are trying to find a new manufacturer to make them. It could be months before they get them in. So I contacted Maytag and of course they said that is not true and put me through to a parts company that they said has all the parts available. When I told that company that it was the touch panel, I was told by them that you only replace the touch panel for cosmetic reasons! So we got a second opinion from another Maytag repair company and he spent about 10 minutes looking at the dishwasher and said its a defective touch panel. He said he has replaced a lot of them in Maytag dishwashers. He recommended that I contact Maytag customer service and try to get them to pay for the part. I did call them and of course they refused because it is out of warranty. The supervisor even told me that they have not had any complaints about the touchpad malfunctioning! They do not stand behind their products anymore. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product ever again. I told them exactly how I felt and their only reply was Im sorry you feel that way. I am surprised they continue to stay in business. I dont understand how major stores can continue to sell their products when they are garbage. Based on the other reviews Ive read, Im not even sure we should fix this for $250.

Our less than five yr old washer finally died. It had been making awful sounds. Started in only very small loads but then started in bigger loads too. It finally stopped altogether. Model number MVWC400XW4. I would NOT recommend this washer.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in January 2013. Three months later, the cheap plastic latch on the door malfunctioned. I waited 3 weeks for the repairmen to get the part in. Is there a sense of urgency anymore? If I owed Maytag money, I bet there would be a real sense of urgency on their part. Next time it will be an LG dishwasher.

We bought all new appliances for our remodel. I wish I could return this dishwasher. It has a problem with the door staying closed. I added images of how we are able to make it work. A service person is coming by tomorrow to put a new latch on it (I read several reviews saying the latch is messed up). So I made sure the service person is coming with the part. I called Home Depot when the problem started (used for up to 5 washes or so). And Home Depot wont return it! I called Maytag and they tried selling me an extended warranty and I asked what about the 10 year warranty the machine is supposed to come with? I guess thats a joke as the lady told me I should of read the fine print. So buyers beware! I wish I would of know about Maytag. I would have about a Samsung instead!!!

I depend on my front loading Maytag washer. It is very reliable, does a great job of cleaning even difficult items like comforters and pillows as well as items deeply soiled. I use the many features like water temp and level, fabric type, heavy or light load, etc. The only complaint I have is that the front cover of the detergent, fabric softener and bleach drawer came off and the exterior paint on top of appliance is rusting and peeling. A stronger substance for the surface where often detergent, fabric softener and other substances are often stored and they leak.

Maytag Centennial Commercial washer - We purchased this washer approx 4 years ago and have never been satisfied with the job it does. Most loads require a second rinse cycle and then perhaps not a good job on the clothes. We have had it repaired twice as it makes a god awful noise and does not do a wash cycle. I believe the repairman has replaced plastic pulleys both times and now it needs the repair job done again. High efficiency has led to high disappointment. We will be looking at getting an older style agitator model as we know they work! Maytag will have to pay us to buy anymore of their products, not impressed at all.

I built a new home in November of 2013 and filled my house with all brand new top of the line Maytag appliances. Almost a year and a half in, my $2500 refrigerator is broken and all my food is lost. They send a repair man out; and guess what, the warranty is expired. So they wanted me to pay $800+ to have my refrigerator repaired a year and a half after I purchased it. I cant believe they have no shame in sending out products with their name on it that only last 1 1/2 years! I would never treat anyone like they treat their customers. They hold no responsibility. Their name holds no value to me anymore. I was extremely disappointed.

I, too, have had major problems with this Maytag refrigerator! We have experienced everything from a malfunctioning ice maker, flashing control panel, overloaded compressor, erratic freezer (freezes much of the fridge contents), and doors not staying closed/inadvertently popping open. We have owned this fridge since 2007 and have repaired the ice maker and the freezing problems on our own dime. When the clicking sound woke the entire house up at 5 am, I finally decided to post! I realize that appliances are not perfect, and that Maytag had the best of intentions when designing and producing this product, but what really infuriates me is that Maytag has known about this widespread inherent problem since late 2006! Why no recall? Why no notice? Why no assistance? When I called the customer service line this morning, the representative acted like shed never even heard of this fridge having problems - yeah, right. All you have to do is Google the model number or just Maytag fridge panel flashing and clicking problem to discover thousands of similar complaints. I do not fault Maytag for manufacturing a less than perfect appliance, but I do hold them accountable for adequately repairing/replacing such a rampant and unsafe (compressor overload) product! Maybe it is time for a class action. Something needs to be done to protect the consumer from a company that is so slow to correct a long-standing and potentially dangerous problem!

We purchased a Maytag Gemini with serial number D40941338 and model number MGR6875AD826. It has been a complete disaster. The control panel keeps breaking down, and its now going to be replaced for the 6th time. I have asked for a new stove when I called the Maytag Extended Warranty Department, and they will not replace this defective product. Please help me.

Seven years ago when we bought a new house, we bought all new appliances, Maytag Washer and Dryer, because they were suppose to be extra good and sturdy, what a joke. For the past four or five years, I have had to replace the lock on the door of the washer, which means Im without a washer for a week. Since no one stocks the parts because it is such a joke, some repair places wont even consider repairing a Neptune. Seems like since the company stopped making them because of the problems they have, as a minimum they should replace all Neptune washers that have been sold with a reliable washer, front loading in the same price range. I will never buy another Maytag product and will be sure to tell everyone I know not to buy them either.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series washer and dryer in 2009. The repair people have been to my house 7 times. The dryer had a useless part on the drum that made a banging noise while running. The washer keeps getting coins and small undergarments stuck in the motor. Every now and then, one of us leaves a coin in the pocket by mistake. I did purchase the extended warranty on the set. The repairperson that comes to my house is great. I would, however, not want to have to keep leaving work to meet repairmen. The machines are not quiet. If you need quiet from your appliances, this is not the set for you. If you do not clean the washer with Affresh or Clorox product, your clothes and your room smells. The clothes are always so tangled after washing; they tend to wear out quickly. Im not sure about this high efficiency washer. I wish I had just purchased a regular machine.

I purchased the gas stove in June of 2012 from Home Depot, along with a Maytag microwave (Model MGR7662WB4). Home Depot installed both items. After trying to reach into the microwave about the stove, the knob would turn itself on with me brushing up against it. This happened several times, and one time the flame shot up and I almost got burned. The last time it happened, I did not realize that the knob was turned very slightly and gas was coming out of the burner for several hours. If it were not for a friend stopping over, I would not have considered the odor being from the stove. I assumed that the drains were probably backed up and started to add cleaners to the toilet bowls. I had to open the windows for several hours to get the smell out. So I called customer service 2 times. The first person said I would have to pay for the call if the problem was not Maytag and I said, “Forget it.” Then I went into Home Depot and the salesperson in there gave me another number to call for service. They came last Friday and said that he had seen at least 10-15 calls about this and since the unit was working as designed and no recalls, there was nothing they could do. “Just wait and see if a recall would be put into place and I would be on the list to fix it. In the meantime just keep the knobs off (which I was doing already out of fear).” My sister just bought a Whirlpool gas range this summer as well and asked if I could try her knob and it worked perfectly. Again I called CS and was told they could not send me those at no charge and that it would cancel out the warranty. So I asked her what I have to do before I or someone else gets injured and she said that until there was a recall, there was nothing they could do. I told her I was going to contact Consumer Report as well as Pam Zekman on Channel 2 news in Chicago. End of story; I still have the problem and no knobs on the new stove. We purchased a home one year ago. It has all Maytag appliances that were anywhere from one year old to two years old. The Neptune LE washer is not working as of today. This washer is supposed to be the top of the line, and because it is almost three years old, it is no longer under warranty. This washer will fill with water but does not spin or rinse the clothes. We paid a lot for this home and were so happy to get appliances that were all practically new. Now, we refused to have a repairman come and charge us lots of money to fix a washer that should not be broken. I have had washers run for 15 years and that was when I was washing clothes for 6 people, including cloth diapers for triplets! I will not buy any Maytag appliances. I will be getting an Amana or a Sears brand. Please, no one go buy a Maytag appliance.

Maytag Quiet Series 200 only 1.2 years old: I moved into my home about 2 months ago and the touch panel on the dishwasher, which is of course just past the warranty expiration date, has progressively gotten worse until now, doesnt work at all. I have tried calling Maytag many times on numerous occasions, who apparently only has one phone line because its ALWAYS busy. The cost for the touch panel on this dishwasher (model# MDBH945AWS3) is $150 which isnt even worth fixing since I can go to Lowes and buy a new FRIGIDAIRE for $300. The problem is the circuitry from the touch panel to the control board gets too much moisture in it with no protection around it. If I were them, I would find a way to make all these parts separate so regular people, like you and I, would be able to buy parts a lot more cheaply and repair these items ourselves. However, since the front panel and the circuitry attached to it is all one cohesive unit that cant be taken apart from one another, nearly at all without ruining it, then I might have been posting a different review here. However, that is not the case. IF I could actually get in touch with Maytag, I would ask why on earth isnt this a recalled item and when they are shipping me a new part since it seems everyone is having the same issue with their Maytag dishwasher, no matter what series it is. I do not plan on buying a Maytag appliance in the future. I do plan on buying a Frigidaire since the rest of my appliances (stove, fridge and overhead microwave) work perfectly without any issues whatsoever.

I bought this washing machine 2 years ago or so. We have always bought Maytag. My mother still has hers she bought over 25 years ago and it still looks and works great. So my wife wanted a new washing machine so I said were going to get another Maytag. Boy did I screw up. What a piece of ** junk. Sounds like its grinding gears all the time, so loud. I close the door in the wash room and I can still hear my investment on a Maytag grinding my nerves because I spent so much on a product of a brand Maytag that I thought would be around for a while. Do not buy a Maytag.

The performance of the refrigerator is disappointing. It was difficult to find someone to repair it when the freezer fan motor went out. It makes noise, shelf space is insufficient. Temperature mechanism often doesnt work properly.

Paid $900 for this side by side stainless steel model 15 years ago. Pros: performance, appearance, simplicity. Cons: none. Only 1 minor repair, and the repairman said this is 1 of only 2 makes he recommends.

We purchased our Maytag Refrigerator brand new, about 18 months ago. It always ran loud so the repairman came out during the 12 month warranty period. He told us to unplug and reset it, but that never did the trick. Eight months later, the fridge stopped cooling. We called our local repairman and he told us ($97 later) that the compressor was out. He said we should contact Maytag because the compressor should be under a 5-year warranty. Then the nightmare began. I spoke to four different reps with a total hold time of about 2 hours. Two of the reps put me on hold to get a supervisor and/or consult another rep and I was mysteriously cut off each time. One rep told me my compressor wasnt covered under warranty. The last rep I spoke to told me it was covered and he scheduled a Maytag repairman to come and replace the compressor. I was thrilled. The repairman came out and informed me that the compressor was indeed out and handed me a bill for $137. I asked why I was being billed and he said because that was the way that Maytag had ordered the service call. I told him that the Maytag rep had assured me that Maytag was covering the repair. He apologized and said that not only was I obliged to pay for the diagnosis (which I didnt need because I had already paid my local guy for the same information), but that it would cost $900 to replace the compressor. I was flabbergasted. I called Maytag and they denied all responsibility. They said that even though the rep had assured me of Maytags commitment to replace the compressor under the 5-year warranty, he had made a mistake and I wasnt actually covered. So I paid our local repairman to replace the compressor, because by that time, we had been living out of ice chests for 2 weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. Now the unit is freezing water on the bottom of the freezer and then leaking water on the floor. It is unconscionable that this company be allowed to defraud people to this extent. I will never buy a Maytag again and I would like to be informed of any class action suit. This company should be deeply, deeply ashamed of itself.

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - Just DONT BUY this junk. We bought the washer and dryer set from Home Depot in 2011 and have had nothing but trouble with the washer. Three times small objects like dimes, pennies and nickels got past the agitator into the drain pump which has been replaced twice. Beneath the agitator we even found a few missing socks. Today after a visit to the Laundromat, we bought a Samsung with a 5 year extended warranty. If that doesnt work it will be an old fashioned Speed Queen next. We will never buy anything Maytag again and I hope to influence everyone we meet about them. I cant wait to throw it into the city landfill for recycle dog food cans.

I bought my Bravos washer (Maytag Bravos Model # MVWX700XL2) back in 2013. Worst mistake ever, First off the clothes never came out clean, regardless of how diligent I was following the directions on how to use this particular type of machine. Secondly, it started going off balance for every load if I put more than 4 pieces of clothing in. 2 months after having it recently repaired AGAIN for not spinning and going off balance, it is doing it again. It is only 4 years old! I bought it for the Maytag reputation, but now I am doubting that reliability.

I bought my Maytag Bravos top load washer from Home Depot. In one year. I had the Maytag warranty people out three or four times. The warranty ran out and I purchased an extended warranty from A&E. I have had them out at least five times.I called Maytag and they told me since that I didn’t get the extended warranty from them, that there was nothing they could do for me. I explained to them that this washer cost me over $900 and that I have had numerous repairs on the washer, in which the warranties cost me over $400 so far.How much do I have to keep paying for this lemon? Maytag will not do anything about it! This goes to show you that paying top dollar for a washer does not guarantee you will have a good product. In this economy we can’t afford for this to happen. This is a very bad product and Maytag will not stand behind their own products, but they are willing to charge the consumer high dollar for them. This is a disgrace!

Purchased this maytag oven from home depot November 2011. Oven has been working properly since install. The top burner controls do operate too easy and you can just brush up against the stove and turn the gas on which I seen here was mentioned. My major issue is the stainless steel finish that was applied. It appears that this metal was not properly prepared prior to applying the finish. The oven door is with rust blisters. The metal under the coating is causing this problem. The finish in the other areas is with no problems... No chemicals have been used to clean this oven.Customer service of maytag stated that this stove only has a one year warranty... so if you buy any maytag just remember one year and when it breaks down the cost to fix will be more than a new defective maytag stove. I will not purchase another maytag product and I do not recommend that this manufacturer be considered when purchasing any appliance.

Centennial commercial tech. washer - We purchased this piece of junk in Sept 2013, and had to have a repairman twice before it was six weeks in my home. I wrote several letters but the only thing that I received were applications for insurance to cover repairs. I should have received a replacement as it was bad from day one, but Maytag doesnt replace!!! Its been semi-reliable for the past several months, until early this year. It started jerking when it changed cycles, sounding as if the drum was hitting really hard against the sides. It has continued to do that regularly; now it wont function on the cycle its set on. It wont spin, sometimes the lid lock wont work. It starts filling when it should be draining. This evening, it stayed in the rinse cycle for 40 minutes and when I realized it was still rinsing I had to unplug it to get it stopped. It goes on and on, (and so could I out of frustration). The good name of Maytag has turned to trash, and when it leaves my home, no more Maytags!!! PS. The dryer we got with it takes at least 1 1/2 full cycles to dry a load, and since I couldnt get it to spin properly, Ill be lucky to get this last load dry in 2 to 2 1/2 cycles.

I bought a Maytag range (MET-8775) last year, because my wife loves to bake and wanted the double oven. The oven never did brown properly, despite trying different temperatures and cookware. So, I called the 1-800 number in the manual. I was told they would have a technician come out and check it, and they assured me it was under warranty. The technician arrived, and since it was close to the end of the warranty period, I showed him the receipt for purchase. I got another assurance that this visit was covered by the warranty, before anything was actually done. Well, he checked it out and eventually calibrated the temperature. That helped a little, but still, it doesnt brown very well. About a month later, I got an invoice from the service company that dispatched the tech telling me Maytag will not cover the visit under warranty. After a long call with Maytag (now Whirlpool, I believe), I was told that since the calibration instructions were in the manual, it wasnt covered! Well, why wasnt the thing calibrated to begin with? And your average customer is expected to have an accurate thermometer/gauge to set it and know whether the temp is off or not? Why was I told twice that it would be covered? If either the lady on the 1-800 line or the tech who came had told me this wasnt covered, I would have argued a case right then. As it turned out, I had no choice but to get billed for something I was assured was covered. And as I said, it still doesnt brown right; and we had tried different temperatures before. We are preparing a major kitchen remodel, and its hard to believe that Maytag/Whirlpool would so thoroughly piss off a customer and potential future customer over an $80.00 service call.

We bought a Maytag Gemini double oven in June 2007. It has been a problem from day one. It arrived with a damaged door. They reordered and replaced it. Through the next few months, I became very discouraged with the oven. I bake a good bit and was always used to an oven with fairly accurate temperature. This oven will not reach or sometimes just wont maintain a steady temperature. After a couple of service calls, I gave up. I now raise the temperature setting about 50-75 degrees higher that the recipe requires. Naturally, I dont always get the best results. However, that isnt the thing that really bothers me. These ovens have three ignitors. About every six months, one breaks. The cost is over $200.00 each time. The ovens/broiler are highly unreliable. After mixing up something or on an important holiday, one may find that the oven wont light. Theres no warning! It is simply gone. I will never again buy a Maytag! I called Maytag and questioned them about the lemon law. I was told that the same piece had to break three times in one year. That is crazy, when the entire thing doesnt and has never worked well.

My Maytag refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot less than 3 years ago. It is a French door, bottom freezer draw model #MFI2569VEA1. Every four days, there is a huge puddle of water at the base of the unit and it is starting to ruin my ceramic tiles. I tried the online video solutions to no avail. Home Depot wont repair it, they told me to contact Maytag. Maytag wants me to purchase a $375 warranty, which is 30% of what I paid for the refrigerator. I will never buy a Maytag refrigerator again, or any Maytag product for that matter. They once stood for solid reliability and peace of mind, now you get a piece of junk instead. My dryer is 3 years old and I have had a technician work on it 3 times in 2 weeks, replacing parts as well as screws that were not installed. The dryer is not drying clothes and resets. Yes, I clean the filter.

Fridge model mff2055drm00 - Purchased 2 years ago. Upon delivery and working water leaked from bottom. Called recommended service. Result took out fridge and brought in another new one. Today the fridge/freezer ices up, ends up sounding like a rocket ship. Not working efficiently. Called for authorized service. Was told needed a new thermostat... after TWO Years? Service call price $125, quote to purchase, replace and install thermostat $550. Almost $700. Big mistake buying Maytag- who knew? But never again! We are quite angry and very disappointed with the mediocre performance of this product.

Worst washing machine I have ever owned. Read all the other reviews and concur with them. We get pin sized holes all the time. Brand new shirts yesterday and they have black stains all over them - not the first time either. Inside of stainless steel tub looks clean. Where do the black marks come from? Purchased our dishwasher 11 months ago from Lowes. Dishwasher has a 10 year warranty on racks and 2 other items. We are 2 adults in the household. Dishwasher is maybe used 4 times a week. Maytag Performa Side by Side fridge PSD262LHEB door handle pulled off for the second time since purchase but this time, the handle knocked over a pot of hot water on me. I am just relieved that I have no small children anymore. I would consider this very dangerous in any household. The first time, it was covered under warranty along with the broken ice maker. The repairman stated that he had replaced many handles and due to design flaw, they would not last long.

Bought a Maytag Dishwasher (Model No. MDB7749SBM2) in Sept. 2013 and I am in need of repair for the control panel. The dishwasher is in a vacation house and isnt used on a daily basis. I always thought Maytag was a reliable product but Ive been reading the reviews and the control panel is a problem on relatively new units. How do they get away with this. The unit was around $600 and now Im stuck with a big repair bill... and it appears, from what Ive read on this site that it is a common problem. Maytag has replaced the control panel part and, as far as I am concerned, they should have provided them to all the consumers who were stuck with the defective ones they sold us in the last few years. The top loader washer Commercial Technology washes very small loads well. I bought it for the deepwater wash. It DOES NOT work. It also has a auto sensing. Hate this washer. I have to pour buckets of water in the wash to fill it. Maytag/Whirlpool go back to the way it should be. If I want a full washer I should have it! At the end of the day IT IS MY WATER BILL!

We bought our Maytag Bravos washer and dryer 3 years ago. We bought the set from E-Z RENTALS in Crossville, TN. We paid on the set for 2 years. You can only imagine how much we paid. Two weeks after the payoff, the washing machine started acting up. We were led to believe that the set had a 10-year warranty on them. They made sure that we saw the 8-10 sticker on the front of the machine. E-Z Rentals said that we had to pay extra for the warranty. They hung us out to dry. I could have bought a nice car for what we paid for this washing machine. Now its torn up again. This will make the 3rd time that we have had to call a repairman. We are ready to take the washing machine to the dump and buy a Whirlpool. The man at E-Z Rentals said that on average, the Bravos machine lasts for 3 to 4 years. After that, its cheaper to buy a new one. Does anyone know if, in fact, these machines come with any type of warranty? We truly do not have a clue. We would be grateful for any information on the washing machine. This has been a hurtful experience. I feel that we were taken advantage of.

Purchased French Door MF12269VM 22 inch from The Brick furniture April 1, 2012. Turned out to be a real April fools joke. Purchased extended warranty with TransGlobal for 5 years. First, fridge delivered after about a couple of weeks because it actually wasnt in stock. Naughty Brick lied about availability. Fridge arrives and after a service call from Maytag repair, they ascertain compressor doesnt work.Order fridge number 2. Two weeks later, get second fridge but lever for dispensing water is broken off. Order fridge number 3. Usual two-week wait and fridge finally arrives but the whole side panel is damaged. Send it back and order Fridge number 4. Service from Brick, Maytag and Whirlpool, terrible customer relations. Misrepresented delivery dates, supply issues, and operational damages.Fridge finally installed. Ice maker operates intermittently for the next year. Service techs from TransGlobal offer a variety of suggestions including changing filter, water pressure issues. Finally ice maker stops entirely in Summer of 2013. Is replaced after a month of waiting for parts of which the wrong part was sent. Ice maker continued to operate intermittently. Sometimes just a small of ice or no ice for a day. Finally in May after another service call, ice maker stopped working for about 4 days. Tech comes out and miraculously, it starts working again. A month later stops again and hasnt worked since.Contacted TransGlobal off shore call centre? And arranged to have an assessment to see if we needed a new fridge. Request declined and Maytag (Whirlpool) sent a tech out after another week. Service tech recommended new freezer. Waited a week for parts and arranged for Service tech to replace ice maker. Wrong ice maker part (for the second time) in less than a year.The latest trick from our possessed fridge is recent alarms from the temperature control. To say we are disappointed in this product, the retail experience, the quality of the manufacturing, the shipping procedures, the poor engineering and design, doesnt come close to describing the shoddiness surrounding this appliance and the service weve received.In conclusion, we are still awaiting an ice maker and are contemplating buying another fridge. What it is fair to say, we will never ever buy another appliance with their the Whirlpool or Maytag attached to it. Nor will we ever again buy anything from the Brick, or depend upon TransGlobal for repair services. Are there other Manufacturers and retailers out there who understand the meaning of service and quality. I certainly hope so. Otherwise Im going to invest in a good icebox.

Brand new washing machine model MHW8200FW purchased at Karls, a Ferguson subsidiary, in Madison, NJ end of June, 2017. I wanted to buy a top of the line machine and this is what the sales person recommended to me. Problems started soon after purchase. Initially I contacted Maytag because the machine wouldnt spin dry a cotton bath mat weighing 4.5lbs soaking wet. I was told I should put more items in the machine to help balance it. Well there WERE more items and the machine wouldnt spin dry them either. I tried every trouble shooting Maytag suggested. Having exhausted my nerves, I called for service. The technician came and said these machines are extremely sensitive and that sometimes they wont even run an empty cycle. He said this is a common complaint with these units. One of his suggestions was to take bath mats, duvets, comforters... articles like that to a laundromat.I did less than 10 wash cycles after his visit when the washer started having more issues and finally broke down completely. The technician who came this time wrote a repair order indicating a mechanical (Stator) AND electrical (Control Panel) breakdown ($500+ for the parts alone if the unit wasnt under warranty). He also stated that he had never seen such problems in a brand new machine.I contacted Maytag for an exchange. Maytag customer service wrote to me that the breakdowns are ... normal, with all the units we sell some may have a defect in the first couple of months... and refused to exchange my defective unit. I can accept that there may be a defect that will warrant a repair, but in this case there are multiple defects in separate systems - mechanical and electrical - within the first month of service. This shouldnt warrant any further discussion, only a quick replacement and an apology.

We bought this Maytag dishwasher two years ago with a two year warranty. We paid close to $700. Six months after we bought it, it started having problems on and off. They are including: leaking water, lights going on and off, cycles are not completed. We changed the console once, and soon after that it broke down again, and this time is out of warranty. Total repair times are: 6 times in two years. My husband call the company, asked them if there is a recall for this model? They told that there is no recall. Then the repair person came. According to his repair experience he said this is the common problem and he got a lot of calls for the same problem. If he told the truth about this, then the company was lying to its consumers!!

Maytag Bravos XL - I purchased my maytag washer & gas dryer on 5/12/12. In Dec 2012 the heating element went out. I had to wait a week for a repairman to come out on Dec. 20 to fix it. Now for the second time on Dec. 30th, 2014 the heating element has gone out. I called for a repairman to come out. I have to wait until Jan. 12th 2015 for service. I have 8 people in my home including 3 grandchildren. This length of waiting is ridiculous and very inconvenient.

I use a late model Maytag front loader. It does a great job cleaning and uses very little soap and water. To date I have NOT had to call the repairman to work on it. All in all I am VERY satisfied.

Maytag Bravos XL Washer & Dryer - After a long 45-year use of our old GE W./D. that were still working fine when we decided it was finally time to upgrade. Big mistake. Nothing but dissatisfaction on every level of complaints by those who registered here before us and then some. This all was noticed almost immediately after purchase, but we lived with it trying not to believe our worse fears. That is until we both started breaking out with skin rashes. Just logged on this site after a Google search... We were shocked and disappointed in our purchase decision. We will join in a class action lawsuit if ever one is initiated... My husband bought a washing machine in August 2019 and now it broke down a month ago. There is a sticker on it that the warranty is 10 years, but this warranty is for the motor and not for everything else. I read on the Internet what kind of error the machine gives me, it turned out to be either the motherboard or the front panel. I did not order the parts myself, called the service, in 5 minutes I had to pay 130 $ to he told me the same thing that I read in Google.... And he said that the repair would cost another 500$ part - 250$ and service fees to replace the front panel or the motherboard. Its ridiculous prices, so I find parts lil cheaper and ordered the motherboard myself, my husband installed it (there is nothing hard to do it) and the machine still gave the same error, I ordered the front panel for 220$ and the machine still gives the same error. Now front panel didnt respond at all, and this brand new panel... So I bet after I will pay to service they will tells me there is something else broken... Maytag??? NEVER AGAIN!So I send all part to the store, save money this way and now I buying a new one, when a year and a half ago I spent 1000$ on Maytag and the service is trying to rob me at the cost of a new machine, and no one gives me a guarantee after the service, I will not have a new one. The way out is possible to read more reviews and take a protective plan for 5 or more years so this is not your problem.

Bought this Dishwasher two years ago. Control panel was working intermittently now it does not work. I am looking for anyone with this same problem. I know lawyers who are class action specialists who fight for the consumer. We need to make Maytag responsible for the flaws they have in their product. From reading these other reviews it seems that this control panel issue is consistent no matter what model you have. We bought a pair of Maytag Bravo MCT washer and dryer on May 30, 2011. On April 30th our dryer would not turn on. We called the Maytag service where we bought our machine, and were told it was a fried motherboard and would cost approx $600 parts plus labour. For a machine to last less than three years is very unreasonable. Maytag used to have such a good name. That is why we originally went for this brand. We were told by the service tech, that if we opted to buy a new replacement machine they would waive the service call charge. Is this how Maytag keeps selling units?? We bought the higher end units thinking that they would last 10+ years but now it seems Maytag has designed their machines that are disposable. Tisk tisk Maytag. No wonder your service men are lonely... Your sales staff are too busy reselling to loyal customers. Well, you have lost customer with us. We are going to Sears to buy a new dryer made by GE and will sell our Maytag washer on Craigslist and replace it with the matching washer from GE.

The microwave is 5 years 6 months since purchase model MMV4203DS. Fire started at rack clip left front rack, was cooking bacon. Called Maytag and according to them and manual on page 3 is only for 2-level cooking to avoid damage to microwave oven. DOES NOT SAY WILL CATCH FIRE OR THE RACK CAUSES SPARKS AND BACON SHOULD NOT BE COOKED IN A MAYTAG MICROWAVE. But according to Representatives of MAYTAG ** its my fault for not reading my manual. We had been a Whirlpool only brand household for as long as I can remember. When our Whirlpool washer and dryer gave out on us 11 years ago, we had a friend swear by the quality of Maytag appliances and decided to try something new. We purchased a Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer set. We have had our Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer since 2003 and both appliances are still as dependable and hard working as the day we purchased them. We live in a house with well water and our water is treated to be soft water.We have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren who have come and put our machines through some heavy duty challenges when their non-Maytag brand washers and dryers have failed them. We are still very satisfied with our Maytag purchase some 11 years later, and so are our daughters and grandchildren!

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in Sept. 2013. This dishwasher looks great, but it leaves glasses stained with a cloudy haze. It also does NOT dry, even on jet steam dry mode. Bottom line, after a little research, I was the one who bought it, so I took accountability and just rolled with it. Well, the control panel stopped working this week (wont light up). I called maytag and the lady told me they would cover a service call and parts even though its not under warranty. When the service company called me, they said maytag will NOT cover cost, totally contradicting what the Maytag lady told me. I bought the Bravo XL HP Washer and Dryer in 2014. Dryer is great but the washer just after having it 1 yr started making awful noises. Had a repair man come which cost me money and was told the bearing went out and I needed a new one. He said it would cost over 700.00. I didnt fix it as I could buy a new one for that price. I did that. I hate the washer. It doesnt get the clothes clean and the cycles are long. My clothes dont feel or look as good. I have to leave the top open or it smells awful. So, I got the new washer 1 yr after the other one in 2015. It is now 2016 and it is making noises. Theses washers need to be recalled and we should be able to get a different one or our money back. Please, do something about these washers as a lot of us are stuck with them.

Our Maytag dryer is only, maybe, 3 years old. I do not dry towels, jeans or heavy sweatshirts in it (I line dry and then soften up in dryer). I clean the lint filter each time. Our heating element has gone for the second time. The first time it cost $200-250 to repair. It is so sad that our appliances are not made to last as they did. Or is it just Maytag? You can be sure we will not buy another Maytag item. I am looking into recalls at this time.

In December of 2013, I purchased a Middle of the Line Maytag Dishwasher model #MDB8949SBW for $600 plus $200.00 for install and removal of 5 yr old Kenmore. At that time I thought I did my research and saw no major negative flaws on this type of machine or similar machines. This replaced a 5 yr old low line Kenmore that just upped and died. Installed just before the holidays, this Maytag machine seemed to have worked tirelessly until a few days ago August 18/2015. The computer controls went haywire. I was hitting normal start buttons and other buttons on the other side of the control panel were blinking and lighting up. Worse was trying to cancel and the control boards were not responding. Even hitting the start button, the machine would not turn on. Finally looking at the facia, I see the tabs of the flexible plastic frame that hold the control panel popping out from underneath the white facia plate. Snapping the frame back in and applying a lot of pressure got the machine to operate. With a family of four and minimal storage space, this machine is used approx once a day. It appears over the year and 1/2 by pulling on the plastic handle - which also happens to be the computer control board frame, the computer has separated from its mount and has allowed moisture to hit the control board/computer and wreak havoc on the electronics. Looking up this model online NOW, I see I am not the only one with Dishwasher computers failing within a year or two- just out of the one year warranty. A Call to Maytags customer service has the computer control board alone cost $160.00 plus the service tech and his labor fees reaching in excess of $450.00. The CS rep gave me a repair discount to $267.00 and a week wait for the Service Tech for this problem to be fixed. I bought this machine on two premises - one for its price, it was the only machine that offered 3 spin jets that really do a good job in cleaning dishes and 2, I owned a 1984 Maytag dishwasher in another home with computer controls in the handle and to this day, that machine is still running flawlessly! My only issue with the 84 Maytag machine was after 4 years the door gasket went - too much soap - replaced and no issues since! I expected similar performance with this one. I guess I have to spend north of 3 bills for similar performance and quality. What was I thinking?

The circuit board on my seven year old Maytag French door refrigerator died. I called a repair company out to see if it could be repaired. He went to order the part and said that it was not available. Now I read a review from someone else saying that Maytag does not have parts for appliances that are over 6 years old. Thats ridiculous that after spending so much money on an appliance that parts are not available. I will never buy another Maytag appliance.

From my research online it appears that the control panel issue is a latent defect which Maytag knows about but either wont or cant figure out how to deal with it or correct it. I have a scan of the receipt which Ill see if I can upload later. I know about one class action lawsuit for CA residents. I wonder if its been expanded.

My microwave will not work when the door is shut. It says: Door open. It’s worked intermittently, doing this for about two weeks. Then my husband woke up one morning a week ago and the microwave was on like it was running, light on but the plate was not turning. So we’ve had to unplug it and do without during thanksgiving weekend. This seems to be a common issue, obviously from the reviews below, so shame on you Maytag for not owning up and doing the right thing, covering repairs or sending out a recall. It’s a $112 service call here locally plus parts and labor. I will certainly be telling others not to go with Maytag. Maytag is lucky- it turning on by itself AT NIGHT, WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING, that it did not cause a fire or something. I’m pretty upset that it’s inside a 2.5 year window and already has issues.

My Maytag has been out of service more than in service and this is my 2nd one in 2 years. They replaced my first one due to breaking down several times. I have spent so much $$ at the laundromat after paying big bucks for a washer.

My dog had to be on a special diet to recover from a stomach disorder. I placed 1/3 cup of dog food plus chicken broth and baby food in a bowl. I intended to heat it for seconds. Minutes later, my dog was whining and sneezing. I immediately returned to the kitchen to find the food and bowl were completely charred. The biggest problem however was from the plastic splash guard that melted down. Smoke filled my home. I had to call the fire department. I was coughing and had difficulty breathing. The smell was horrible!The insurance company and I have had thousands of money in restoration cost due to the damage. I was out of my house for weeks and got very sick due to returning to the home that was not remediated properly (allergies and asthma). The microwave was an over the range Maytag MMV4205BA. I would like to find out if the fire was due to a malfunction in the microwave oven. If so, Maytag should be paying for the damages. I still need living room furniture and carpeting replaced due to smoke damage.

I wrote earlier about my dishwasher needing to have an electronic board replaced again. So I called the helpful (I say that with sarcasm in my voice) 800 number. My dealer asked me to call for help with paying for the new part. After an hour and a half of being cut off and put on hold, I finally got through to a person that could take my request. The gentleman explained to me about why they would not stand behind their product which was only 3 1/2 years old, and a replacement part that lasted only 11 months. He expanded on his thought about how it was too old to fix and the part was more than 90 days old. I am out of my $1,100.00 with no help in sight. Totally upset with this company and how they will not stand behind a poorly made product!!!!

I purchased this dishwasher at least 12 years ago and it still works. However, after that much use some of the buttons no longer work. It has china, economy, regular, rinse only and extreme wash features.

I have had a Maytag smoothtop stove for over 20 years. The only drawback has been when someone left an empty pan on a hot burner. Some of the pan melted to the top which could not be removed. I have to get special pans to conduct the heat, too. Overall, I love it. It has a self-cleaning oven, too, which is a bonus.

This Maytag refrigerator is a counter depth so a little smaller in the Inside than I would like but fits in my tiny kitchen great. It has an inside water dispenser which is so nice because it keeps the clean look on the outside. It’s a year old and so far I have not had any problems with it.

Bought Maytag Bravos in 2010. It does not clean but worse than that it rips clothing (for example: loops off pants, holes in pjs, tons of ripped towels), so many items of clothing torn that I cant keep count. Today I had a pillow case ripped apart (see image). I have had four sheets ripped that I can no longer use. Maytag should have recalled this washing machine. I have the Maytag Bravos dryer also and the drum was on backwards on it when I bought it.

Maytag will not fix 2 major issues with new $700 Maytag dryer bought from Home Depot who takes no responsibility. They wont return it. Maytag wont replace defective dryer unless technician from totem appliances cannot fix problem. The tech ordered a control board and timer. Only installed the timer. He did not fix 2 issues. Dryer never stops at OFF. Dryer leaves damp spots on any clothing whether small or medium large load. Was told by Maytag if damp spots then its OUR problem... our ventilation. No it is your sensor. Our model is ymedc465hwo serial m820. 07331. Bought in late Oct. 2018. Two supervisors later we are being sent to tech or tech company and played games with. All I know is Maytag sells defective dryers then wont replace them or fix main issue.

I will never buy another energy efficient washer again. My Bravos is supposed to save money and be environment friendly, but when you have to wash clothes more than once to get them clean, theres no savings. Ive tried different detergents, cleaned the washer, rinsed twice, added vinegar, baking soda and everything imaginable to get the clothes smelling fresh without any luck. I have had several items ruined because the bleach dispenser pours onto dry laundry. Im disgusted.

Re: refrigerator model # MBF2258XEB1. The above-referenced refrigerator was purchased in 2011 from Home Depot. We paid over $1,000.00 thinking we were buying a good product. Right now the bottom freezer is working but the refrigerator is not cooling. An appliance repairman cleaned out the defroster part, but that did not resolve the problem. He said it was a compressor/valve gas line problem. I cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars to have this repaired. Even though the warranty has expired, I believe that Maytag should pay the cost of the repair. This is VERY inconvenient and frustrating.

I am very dissatisfied with this washer (Maytag Washer Bravos XL), it doesnt use enough water to cover the clothes. No matter which cycle you use, the clothes dont come clean. Who cares about water sensing if your laundry isnt clean. I will not buy another water sensing machine, I think the consumer should make that call on how full to fill the washer. Even on power wash the small agitator turns slowly. Not happy with this machine at all.

Maytag french door fridge model MFF2558VEW7. I bought this fridge about 3 years ago. Have had nothing but problems. First I had problems with the freezer frosting up, then I had the same problem of ice buildup in bottom of freezer. Now the freezer only gets cold enough to cool drinks and the fridge only gets to about 60 degrees. This is not the only Maytag appliance I have had problems with. I bought a dishwasher a few years ago that quit working just after the warranty ran out. Both bought from Home Depot. After reading other reviews, it seems that appliances bought from Home Depot have had problems too.

I bought Maytag frost-free refrigerator last August 2006. But now, I noticed that ice builds up in the freezer. The product is only five years old but I was told by Whirlpool that they had discontinued making defrost heater. The reason why I bought Maytag was the ad on TV showing the Maytag service technician seating and doing nothing, implying that Maytag brand is a good product. Think again before buying Maytag products.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWW2 3 yrs ago. Started having problems with it not filling with water after first cycle. After examination determined that the control panel/handle on the top of the door had broken away from its attachment points/screws behind the pane. Every time the door was opened this would allow moisture and steam to infiltrate into the door interior. And guess what, it now needs a new electronic control panel. After seeing all the other reviews, it is safe to say this is not the Maytag of our parents or grandparents.

I am sorry I purchased this machine. It was meant to replace a 17-year-old Maytag dishwasher that was not repairable. I figured they were good machines. Wrong. Perhaps I have a lemon, I do not know. I bought the machine on the 23rd of November and it was installed on the 29th of November. Here it is December 12th and I am sick to my stomach. I have already had to contact Maytag customer support and have a repairman coming. This machine does not clean worth a damn! My glasses look worse coming out of the machine than when they went in. I have run two loads with the machine so far. The auto-sense cycle is a joke. It took over four hours to complete and things did not come out clean. Last night I tried the normal cycle. It came up with a run time of 2:36. The first rinse was cold water. The detergent cup was open and empty at 20 minutes in. So what does the machine do for the next two hours??? When the cycle was finished I looked at the glasses and they were spotted and streaked with remnants of fingerprints and lips. So I ran it again trying the quick cycle. Not one bit of difference, still nasty looking glasses. If this machine cannot get the upper rack clean, how can I be sure the lower rack is getting sufficient cleaning? One would think that for $600 it could at least do the job it was meant to do.

Wish I had read the reviews! I have had Maytag before and they were awesome. New purchase is horrible! Doesnt clean the clothes, leaves a residue on clothing and dryer does not dry properly. Called Maytag and they said use Affresh. Spent $10 on a pack of 5, and it did no good. My dark clothing is getting ruined! The washer is also incredibly LOUD! Very disappointed in this company and would never recommend them to anyone! I had purchased at Lowes, but had a delayed delivery, so I cant take them back, or I would.

Maytag is supposed to be the best. I wanted a top loader again. This washer is almost worthless because of the water control. I have to add buckets of water before I start the washer. Otherwise the clothes are not clean. The cycles are strange with the amount of agitation. I will continue looking for an OLD model. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

Our Bravos model mvwx0600xw0 is 5 years old. I have been dealing with the clothes getting tangled, dark colors full of lint and streaked since I had the machine. Recently the lid lock light has been blinking with 11 minutes left in the cycle. I thought maybe it was off balance, so I stopped the cycle and rearranged everything. Same thing happened again with the lid on the drain and spin cycle. After reading all the other reviews, I realize it is not worth fixing. So long Maytag. It was good knowing you when you sold quality!

Received this Maytag dishwasher model MDW7749SBW1 as a gift from my son in June 2013 when my old dishwasher finally quit. January 2014, the soap/rinse aid dispenser did not work. Called Maytag and they sent repairman who replaced the part. Still did not work so repairman said another part was not communicating with the dispenser so he replaced that part. Worked fine. No charge since it was under warranty. Now its July 2014 and the touch panel doesnt work. Called for repair and was told since it is out of warranty, it will cost about $350 to repair. I called Maytag about this and said that I had a defective appliance. I was told that since I didnt buy the extended warranty, there was nothing they could do. I mentioned my last Maytag lasted 25 years and had only two minor repairs so I didnt see any reason to buy an extended warranty. I thought I was buying a good product. I was told shed register my complaint. Waiting for my repairman to come out tomorrow and see what he can do. I also have a Maytag stove. Wonder how long that will last?

Maytag washer Purchased December 2016. Washer is very slow: runs 1 hour plus. Wash takes a VERY long time. Small load only. Heavy loads go to Laundromat. Maytag does not clean clothes, always MUSTY smelling. Cycle OFTEN does not drain tub And forced to use Drain, Spin cycle to drain tub. Wrinkle cycle ties clothes in knots. Using AFRESH to clean tub makes no difference in foul odor. One service call, error codes found, computer reset. Repairman said that the MACHINE WORKS AS DESIGNED. Repairman said that any tiny bit of debris can cause washer to clog and fail to drain. At best clothes always wet, slow to dry. My old Whirlpool washed any sized load. Clothes always clean and fresh. I used laundry only when we had power outage. LIKELY WILL PUT THIS ON THE CURB. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE.
