I have never been so disappointed in purchasing an appliance for my home. The Maytag Bravo XL large capacity top loader, has never worked properly, and I have many ruined pieces of clothing. Although it has a very large capacity, the water barely fills to a 1/4, and clothes are sticking out of the water, while they are supposed to be submerged/being washed IN the water. Clothes come out of the washer smelling foul. WORST WASHING MACHINE EVER.

The soap dispenser along with the port it slides in becomes molded and is not easy to clean, front loader. I never had a front loader washer with this moldy problem. I have been cleaning it at least once a month,

DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG BRAVOS MCT WASHING MACHINE!!! I have had the machine for two and half weeks, it HAS NOT WORKED EVEN ONCE!!! Service was scheduled - again for a BRAND NEW machine - through Maytag/Whirlpool - and the service ordered never happened. We waited an entire day, 8 am - 4 pm, only to discover the service desk of Maytag doesnt work either. My service is now booked for another week away and I am working on returning this AWFUL Maytag washing machine which never worked even one time!!! Warning: Do not buy Maytag/Whirlpool appliances!!

I have had may BravosXL washing machine for 5 years and it is now sitting on the porch waiting to go to the landfill. It has not worked properly since day one, did not clean the clothes properly and even left dry spots where the fabric didnt get washed. Approximately 6 months ago it started making a loud noise while spinning. This week it literally exploded and there was water and oil everywhere, lifting the floor in the laundry room. I am shocked that Maytag would attach their name to such a poor product.

My Maytag has been out of service more than in service and this is my 2nd one in 2 years. They replaced my first one due to breaking down several times. I have spent so much $$ at the laundromat after paying big bucks for a washer.

My Bravos 300 series is 3yrs. Initially it occasionally shredded an item. With 4 kids I chalked it up to wear & tear on the clothes. Its now ruining items almost every wash. I now wash much by hand. Cant wait to afford a new one.

This top load machine replaced a top of the line Maytag Neptune. It has five water levels. It has three temperature settings and four wash selections. It also has a selection for an extra rinse that I use for white loads. The washer is very reliable. Clothes come out clean with an average amount of detergent. Although this washer is more than fourteen years old, it has never needed service or repairs. By running a cleaning cycle every six months, it drains like brand new. The stainless steel drum is still as polished as it was when it was new. Even the hoses have lasted with a need for replacement.

I have had and worked on many washing machines over the years. The worst design and complete failure of parts to easily align in Maytag front end washers is nothing short of staggering. Creating a tension wire to wrap a rubber seal that requires Hercules to install and easily tears the rubber is beyond ridiculous. Avoid front end Maytag washing machines like the plague since they may cause it given the mold and growth from excessive moisture when the seals tear.

Bought the set at Home Depot. The gear box went out after 2 1/2 months of use. I called the manufacturer warranty site and spent close to an hour on the phone then was given an appointment to have a service repair person look at it. Two days before the scheduled service call they called and said they would have to move the appointment out by a week. After diagnosing the problem, oil all over the floor and stained clothes from the oil, was told it could be up to 2 weeks until the part arrived and installed. So my warranty is being used up while the machine is out of service for a month. Beware of buying a Maytag!!!

Whos up for a class action lawsuit against Maytag? I believe Maytag is making claims that are NOT true. I bought a new Maytag Bravos XL in Nov 2015. I asked the salesperson to point me to a deep water washing machine for Large loads. Salesperson sold me the Maytag Bravos XL MCT and made claims I would have 30% more water than the other washers. The sales pitch (according to Manufacture) is these smart machines have sensors that can detect how much water is needed. THIS IS NOT TRUE. My Maytag machine only gives me 1-2 inches of water on the normal and rinse cycles and maybe 4-5 inches on deep water cycle!!! Certainly not enough to cover clothes, towels or sheets. I immediately called Sears. Tech is basically being trained to tell consumers thats the way it is. This is the new future in washing machines. So, My recommendation - hire an attorney to get your money back!

I bought a Maytag washer November Thanksgiving of 2013. This washer started giving problems three months after; problems such as the cycle stop turn over properly, the light would say wash but its not washing. It would just stop but the light stuck on wash for long periods of time. Press the pause/start/cancel button, it would sometimes start again and stop and let out the water quickly. The clothes would be filled with water and not wash properly. This the funny part, serious funny part. I contacted Maytag on countless time. They had me on hold so long I had to hang up; a hold for hour I am talking about. One day I finally got through. They gave me a number to contact because where I am located there is no tech. I never got anyone but the machine when I called the number after countless times of trying. I decided to called back Brandsmart, because I just think its not right and fair to me to purchase a washer for so much, to had it shipped for more money. It didnt last me NO time at all and I cannot get any help. Well! Brandsmart told had to have paid export shipping, something I never was offered and since I took it out of the country, there is nothing they can do for me. I hunted for my receipt and to this day I I still have it. All was offered was warranty parts and labor for a month, thirty days. I said no because I would not think anything would go wrong in that short period of time. Nevertheless was not offered any export shipping warranty like what they are trying to ** me with. Here is my receipt number **. I grieve presently how I was just robbed of my money so openly when all I wanted was a replacement.

We spent over $1,200 on a Maytag washer on 12/2015 and it did not work properly. The door got locked, had a couple loads moldy because we could not get it open. Didnt drain either. Maytag had someone come look at it 3 times and it still didnt work. Called Maytag and now they told me that they cant do anything about it because is not under their 1 year guarantee. And of course they are very sorry for my unfortunate inconvenience. I thought they had a good honest reputation but... Im just disappointed!

This washing machine is TERRIBLE! If I could give it zero stars I would. It broke right after the first year and has been nothing but trouble since. Agitators has been replaced twice. Clothes do not get clean. Do not buy this machine. When I contacted Maytag with my initial complaints they were not helpful. Please save yourself the trouble and buy a different brand machine.

Did not know of the lawsuit or recall. Now I have to buy a new washer after fixing it out of pocket and mad that cant get part of the settlement. Not ever going to buy Maytag again!!

I purchased this machine less than 1 month ago. Have had tech here twice - he cant find anything wrong with machine. As for large capacity it will hold a lot of clothing, but will not clean them. I have had to put less than a 1/4 of tub full of clothing (about 15 small items). Use high water level, extra rinse, then rinse and spin again to get the 2 tablespoons of HE soap off my clothing. Takes over 2.5 hours to wash about 15 items. I have called Maytag and they will not back their product. I purchased at Home Depot and they said they have to do what Maytag says. Sending another tech out in 2 more weeks. Takes more water, more electricity, and more time to wash clothes than ever before.

Just got a Bravos Maytag commercial washer. Washed two throw blankets and the washer has a see-through window on top, and I could see that the blankets didnt move on top. How are clothes supposed to get clean if they dont move? It also took an hour and a half for one load. What you are saving on water you are wasting on electricity. I personally dont like them for those reasons. I appreciate the company in my town (little known), they let me return and get the old agitator type with NO sensors. Just love the agitator, might wear on clothes a little more but at least I know theyre clean!

I have owned this Maytag washer model # MVWC360AW0 since Dec/2013. I do not have a single complaint about this machine. It has worked flawlessly for 5 years and am very happy with it. I just follow common sense maintenance like cleaning it once every month (do a full cycle with just borax & baking soda 1/2 cup each) no clothes of course. Another thing I do is to leave it open after I am done washing so it dries completely before I close the lid. The washer looks and works like new, cant be happier...

There are few nightmares that worm their way into reality, but the forcing upon us of the low water washing machine has excelled beyond mans wildest imagination. A tool which everyone finds an absolute necessity is now a tool which does not work! In reference to this particular machine, there isnt enough water to wet the clothes, it beats the garments with such viciousness, even on hand wash, pieces go missing off the clothes, ripped into oblivion. You no longer can buy a machine which does not SENSE the water level, so we have all been reduced to either buying new clothes every week, or wearing crumpled wrinkled disasters which arent quite clean, and we get to use 3x the electricity and waste 3x more water, not to mention wasted time in repeating the process in hopes of getting our clothes clean and wearable.

Just bought a washer and my clothes are always left with dust and dirt on them after washing. Called Maytag, they sent a technician over, but he found nothing wrong. Company refuses to do anything about it, including exchanging it for a different model, since weve had it for more than a month. I am extremely dissatisfied since I just lost over a grand on a washer that doesnt actually wash my clothes.

I could not get parts for Maytag Model MHWE200XW00 Type 832A as the Whirlpool does not provide after sales service. I purchased the new washer in 2010 and lasted for just 4 years. I believe they guarantee supply of spare parts (Inner Basket, Outer Tub and Rubber Boot) for 10 years and more.

The control (computer) stopped working. The Maytag Centennial washer would not turn off. I had to unplug it from the electrical outlet to get it to stop. The repairman had to replace the computer panel. He said it had burned up. I bought this machine from Lowes on January 11, 2011. It lasted 15 months and cost me $265 to get it repaired. I called Lowes and because I did not buy the extended warranty, they would not even talk to me. When I pay about $500 for a washing machine, I expect it to last longer than 15 months! I will never buy another Maytag appliance! Customers beware: these products are a bunch of junk. Even the repairman told me so.

This is the worse washer... As many other have complained I have the same problems. This washer it will not fill with water ever. It doesn’t rinse clothes or clean them as I’m use to the old washers doing. From day one I noticed the water does not fill in the tub and wondered how can the clothes be getting cleaned properly. Getting a F51 code and after going on YouTube and checking for problems it seems to say the same code after it works for a bit. This is the worse appliance I have ever purchased. I am so frustrated and will never purchase a Maytag anything again. Never did in the past up to this one and never will after this one.

I hate this machine: Maytag bravo xl washer. Clothes come out extremely wrinkled, drum so deep can barely reach bottom on my tip toes & Im 57 & clothes dont come out clean. I cant wait to replace it!!! Why are clothes so wrinkled, I want to hang dry things & everything has to be ironed.

We had a Fisher & Paykel Washer that lasted 14 years. This Maytag Bravos XL washer has been the worst machine I have ever owned. The clothes come out dirtier than ever. In todays world all technology is becoming disposable, Where is the Maytag repairman now? I have tried all of the settings, to have a decent wash. I am ready to throw this out. Lowes you need to do something about this. It may be made in America but now we know why Japanese and Korean electronics just work! Maytag Centennial HE Washer - Worse machine ever. Takes over an hour for a load of clothes, never clean. Had only for 18 months now, it wont advance past wash cycle.

I purchase my Maytag Bravos washer from Sears in May 2011. In February of 2014, I started to get the UL message, meaning unbalanced load. I would re distribute the clothes and sometimes that did the trick and others not so much. Now every load comes up UL. I tried putting the machine on the drain and spin cycle to at least get the clothes a little bit drier but the UL message still appears and the clothes are still soaking wet. I lifted the washer up and there is an oil/grease type spin pattern under the washing machine. I called Maytag today (which is now Whirlpool I guess) as the washer has a 10 year warranty on the drum and motor. I was told a service call is $129. When I mentioned that I had Googled the product and saw many reviews with the same exact problem, she stated the Bravos has no common complaints. From what Ive read, it seems to me it would be more cost effective to go out and buy a new washing machine and it obviously wont be another Maytag or Whirlpool.

I bought a Maytag Top Loader March 2021, this washer machine is the worst ever. It doesnt clean your clothes, & your clothes stink horribly. BBB and an Attorney needs to compensate for our all buyers.

My disappointment with this washer (Bravos xl) is that it smells moldy and musty no matter what I do. I clean with affresh when light comes on, leave the top open, etc. I have tried cleaning it with baking soda and vinegar poured down the detergent opening. Water does not drain from the bleach or softener openings. I have resorted to using baking soda in every single wash and adding an extra rinse to keep my clothes from smelling. The laundry room always smells. I would go back to an agitator in a heart beat if this hadnt been so expensive. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.

Maytag Bravos Quite Series 300 - We purchased this washer from Lowes on 9-20-11. Weve had trouble with the spin cycle on this machine since we purchased and in December 2014 the washer stopped working and showed the symbol F:51-no part, to be found waited a month for the part; repair fixed and the machine stopped working in FEBRUARY AGAIN same part-still not fixed. Ive always purchased a Maytag but the new washer Im in the market for will not be a Maytag.

This is the loudest washing machine Ive ever had!!! I ask the installer if it was suppose to be so loud & he said yes. The machines sounds like metal scraping metal when its washing the clothes.

Not only did I buy a Maytag washer for the brand name and trusted longevity, but because they were always a good product in the past. When my Maytag EZ-Epic washer drum failed after only owning it for two years, there was no effort made by any associate to cover this under any sort of warranty at all. To replace this part, I was quoted so much money that I could go out and buy a brand new one for the cost of the repair for this faulty part. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated because the so called product was out of warranty and I will never buy a Maytag product again. Shame on Maytag for ever selling off to such a fraudster of a company.

I purchased a Maytag made by Whirlpool in China about two years ago. The timer went out about nine months later. It went out again about 3 months after that and I paid to replace two sensors in addition. The washer still stops during a cycle at various times; it might be pausing or spinning or filling. When it finishes washing, sometimes it refills and leaves everything wet. I purchased from Deweys in San Clemente and they have tried to service but this is a real lemon. I will never buy anything again made by Whirlpool. I will research and find out what companies have been bought by them so as to avoid this. I note online that there are several hundred complaint problems about Whirlpool so they had to buy a company with a good reputation and ruin their product.

Maytag Bravos XL he Washing Machine - Having owned several Maytag washers in the past, I thought this would be perfect, instead, it is the worst washing machine I have ever had. This machine does not clean well at all, spots on clothes stay put. I have tried different amounts of HE detergent and clothes are twisted and wrinkled terribly and have remaining soap residue on them, even when I use less soap than recommended. I wish I would have returned this machine immediately after a few loads. It doesnt get better with time. It is very loud, but that is the least of its problems.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos 500 Series HE washer. 3/2013. The machine sensor started giving problems less than 2 years after purchase. The sensor is not working. The wash lights stays on, and the clothes are not cleaned. I have to manually turn the dial to put in on the rinse cycle and then turn the dial to the spin cycle. Its a piece of junk. I called Maytag twice and the only thing the representatives on the phone say: I will send a certified technician to see whats the problem. Price: $129.00 service call and additional costs for labor, parts, etc. Maytag had a very good reputation for its products. Will never buy anything Maytag or any products that fall under that brand.

This product is not worth the money or irritation. It does not wash your clothes well and now mine wont spin. I have to completely unplug the machine and start it up to drain and spin. It takes 1 1/2 to wash one load of clothes. Its supposed to be energy efficient. Im pretty sure its not! I waste more time and electric doing a load of clothes than it takes to dry a load of clothes. Im dumping this thing for a real washer, one that works. I do not recommend this washing machine. I purchased the Bravo at Lowes.

Belt broke in inside under tub after 13 months $150. Now another year and I am getting an error message F51 and it stops washing. Im done. Old Maytag lasted 14 years. This is done in 2. Im not paying any more to have it fixed for whatever F51 is. Im cutting my losses now. Hate this machine the way it washes anyway. Always feel like its gonna take off for Mars to join Matt Damon. HA. I purchased a 5 Maytag appliances in the last year. Stupidest thing I have ever done. The clothes washer being the worst. Front Load, model # MHW3505FW1. Last night I threw 5 small, lighter weight things in the washer on normal cycle, med temp, max extract... like usual. An hour and thirty-eight minutes later (normal cycle time), I opened it to find most things never even got wet. One scarf was still folded in fourth - the way I put it in! I called service even though I know there is nothing wrong with the washer, other than being so poorly designed, it cant get clothes wet with a damn tub and a hose. After I told her the problem, she puts me on hold, comes back to tell me she researched this everywhere and she found that this is a symptom of a NEW washer! Its SOO efficient that you cant even tell it was wet! Bull. Most of the items were brand new and you could see the original creases and smell the new smell. They CLEARLY were never wet. They wanted to set up an appointment for servicing, so now I have to be here for them to tell me nothing its not broken. I will never buy another Maytag again.

We purchased our Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer approximately 5 years ago. Over the past year or so, Ive noticed an odor coming from our washer and it’s becoming stronger. Water is staying in the drum and there is mold growing on the rubber seal when you open the door.

Dont buy a washer from Maytag, they put it together wrong and the transmission leaks so it will stop spinning after time and then it fries the motherboard. Too expensive to fix so you have to by a new one.. Their 10 year warranty is a joke and doesnt cover anything hasnt even been 5 years yet. Garbage products.

In the last 6 years my husband and I have bought the high end front load Maytag washers and both have crapped out within the year. I will never buy another product from this company again. Their customer service was no help and the washer needs to be rebuilt. We are waiting for parts which are back ordered months in advance. I will have no washing machine for at least 2 months. I do not trust any product made by Maytag and any company who sells Maytag should be ashamed to sell their product. There is nothing that I have experienced that would make me trust this company whatsoever!

This is my second washer in less than 5 years, going third. No customer satisfaction. Maytag/Whirlpool dont care, Customer Service doesnt care - all I hear when I call is, “too bad”, “so sad”, “call a repairman”, so you can spend another $100.00 plus. I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

I inherited this Maytag washer, so it has been around a very long time (I have had it for 18 years). It still runs quite well, has 3 levels of wash/rinse, 3 cycles to wash in. Both of us...me and the washer are still kickin together. Highly recommend Maytag.

My husband purchased the Maytag Bravo December 2013. We immediately started noticing clothes been destroyed and stains still in clothes. We immediately contacted Whirlpool and shared our concerns and they sent out technician. He stated that the motherboard was gone. After repairing the motherboard, that do not stop our clothes from being destroyed and making them clean. I have wrote numerous letter to the CEO of whirlpool and sent pictures. When they decide to call you back months have passed and still they do not want to help you. Whirlpool have refused to take responsibility for a bad product they invented. They do not stand by their mission. Someone please help the consumer, because this big corporation refuse.

I have a top loader Maytag washing machine, Model MVWB835DW4, bought in 11/2019. Five months of light use, the lid cracked. Received a replacement and four months later the lid once again cracked in the exact same spot. Requested replacement parts under warranty and I was told that a service tech must install the lid. Due to health and safety concerns related to Covid, we are not take any chances letting people into our home. My wife and I are 70 years old and are at high risk. Maytags response was they would not send parts under warranty to me and a service tech must install the parts. If I dont let them in by 11/2/2020 (the end of the warranty period) then I would have to pay for the parts. Maytag has the very worse customer service in the industry.

Maytag Bravos quiet series 300 - We have had this washing machine for approx. 2 years and there is rust marking around the opening of the spout where the bleach is poured into. We also find that we have to do the clean cycle quite often. And it bounces and make a loud noise if there is not enough clothing in it… even on the bulky cycle. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE! And we have been loyal purchasers for 40 plus years!

Bravos washer purchased Sept. 2016. I purchased the Maytag washer based on experience and reputation. I am so disappointed in this washer. I have had the control board replaced after only 3 months and it vibrates, shakes and is very noisy. It does not fill with enough water and the clothes are tangled at the end of the wash. I will never buy another Maytag.

Its a water saver model, so to really rinse the clothes of soap from the wash cycle you have to give it an extra rinse, which the machine has made available. So I do not know how much water it really saves.

PURCHASED WASHER FROM LOWES. IT STOPPED WORKING IN 2 WEEKS. CALLED MAYTAG FOR SERVICE. First repair service wanted to charge me. Next repair company Rawlings made 2 visits, looked at washer 1st visit said they had to order top latch. 2nd visit need circuit board. 3 weeks passed no latch, no circuit board, nor repair service. DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER.

Because it is the high efficiency model, need to leave the lid open so interior will dry and not smell musty. Also, recommend using a washer cleaner such as Affresh or Tide tablet every now and then. But works great!

Not long after the 1 year warranty expired the washer started making noise while agitating. Long story short, the transmission is making the noise and should be replaced. It is a $200+ part. While it is still working ok, Im waiting for it to fail completely. Not good for an expensive washer. I dont think Ill buy Maytag again.

I bought a Maytag Neptune top load washer in 2002. It worked fine (with the exception of smelly clothes) until October 2011. Since then I tried replacing two new clutch assemblies, a new outer tub and bearings. What we were just told this week: it needs a new spinner. Finally throwing in the towel and taking the $500 credit from Sears and buying a new washer. And I can guarantee I will never buy another Maytag product again!

We moved into a new house and the GE washer died after the first week, then the Whirlpool replacement died after two weeks. Decided to try the Maytag which the store gave us for $50 more than the Whirlpool. It runs like a champ. At least two loads of laundry a day every day and sometimes weekends. Clothes come out perfect, no damage and the machine is quiet.

Constantly does not clean clothes, always out of balance, codes constantly come up, only 2 1/2 years old and already rusting out. No matter what you do this washer does not want to work. Has special cycles for bulky loads but try to wash 7 towels and it will dance all over floor then shut down with an unbalanced code and you have to unplug to reset then wash towels again but not use spin and have to wring out towels by hand. I cannot believe the Maytag company has not recalled this very expensive pile of junk, and their service department is very rude and not helpful at all.Also as soon as you call an appliance repair company and tell them its a Maytag Bravos they say we do not fix those, do yourself a favor and junk it and buy any other brand. I have 3 kids now grown so we have bought about 5 washers over the years and when we saw that this was supposed to save water and energy and do bigger loads we were sold. Big mistake! Whatever you do never buy any appliance from Maytag. Products are garbage, service is nonexistent, and the cost will make you boil.

Maytag Dishwasher Model # MDB7749SBM1. What a piece of JUNK! Purchased in June 2013. Control panel went out six months later! June 2014 Control panel BAD again (#2). March 2015 another Control panel replaced (#3). Thank God for Home Depots extended warranty! October 2019.... Control panel needs replacing!

I bought the machine at Lowes. It was cheaper than the regular old agitator washers which should have been a clue. I like the old agitator washers that fill as you put in the clothes. Lowes installed it, turned it on and did not seem to care that although water should have been entering washer, none did. They rushed out. Ok, my water to the washer was bad so it was a simple plumbing fix. Less than 1 year the machine was full of water and would not agitate, spin, drain or anything. It sat full of water. My brother looked at it, fixed the hose that was no longer attached and it worked! Yeah for 1 year almost when again the belt came off, fixed again. Trying to find correct belt is starting to annoy me. I want to take it and dump it. It looks pretty but is nothing but a piece of crap. Maytag, shame on you!!!!

I have a top load commercial tech washer with an agitator that is brand new as of September 2019. I have done all of the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing works. I use 1 tsp of liquid cold water detergent, deep fill, extra rinse, and clear liquid oxi and my darks still come out with white stains. I have had a Maytag tech check out the machine and it checks out without issues. I would never recommend this product to anyone!

We bought 10 18-lb washers about a year ago. They are a maintenance nightmare. For example on June 5 7 out of 10 machine were out of service. One has been down since Jan 20 and the others for various lengths of time. The guarantee for these machines has been misleading since the parts for repair are never available. We are losing business and money because of the Maytag failure to provide equipment that operates as advertised. We need help now.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer approx. 2.5 years ago. I cannot even begin to describe how disgusted I am with this washer. My clothes i.e. towels come out ripped on the edges, clothes do not get clean, shirts etc come out wrinkled no matter what setting used. It is not energy efficient because loads of laundry need to be washed twice if they are soiled (like our everyday jeans). Went back to the independent store where I purchased washer and was told to use only the bulky or gentle/delicates cycles to reduce rips in clothing. Such a complete waste of money, and it was not cheap!

Maytag Dryer is a complete piece of junk. First repair at 13 months, second repair at 15 months. I would throw it away but like a fool I bought the washer. Fingers crossed. Stay away from Maytag, total junk.

I bought a Maytag washer 3 years ago. Maytag gave me a number for one of their warranty service repair shops in my area. The first repair service doesnt even respond to my calls. The second repair service is a total ripoff. So in summary, Im stuck with a 3 year old washer that has a broken drive assembly that the warranty wont cover.

I purchased a Maytag Epic Z Front Load Washer less than 5 years ago, and there is only 1 person in my household. I replaced a part that the technician said was bad for $300 and that didnt work, so they replaced another part for another$ 200. Then, when that didnt work, Whirlpool deemed my washer irreparable, and they will not stand behind their product. This is totally unacceptable, and I will never buy another Whirlpool product. I will also tell others that they do not stand behind their product. If this was a 20 year old product, I would understand but it is not typical for something like this to happen.

My name is Luis ** and I own a Laundromat in Yuma, AZ. I recently purchased 10 Maytag top loaders model MVW18PDAWW in August, so the machines are practically new. They are the new HE top loaders with locking lids. Since I purchased them I have had nothing but trouble. Customers have complained about them on a regular basis; there are days when we have had as many as five complaints.First of all, the locking lids proved to be a much bigger problem than we anticipated. People want to open top loaders to add fabric softeners and when we have opened them so that they can add the fabric softener they are often disappointed with the level of water in the washer. Those people consequently refused to use those particular washers. People have pressed the buttons on the control boards and sent the machines into a loop; different readings have appeared on the screen. Some of them say out of order, sync and several other error codes. Eventually the machines reset themselves or I have had to reset the programming. In the meantime the people pass the word and those machines are not used by those who hear. The controls are too sensitive and are not suited to a commercial coin laundry.Whenever any buttons on the control board are pressed the time of the wash appears on the board. Because of this some people who are busy and are using and loading several washers claim that they have already put their money into the machines; they argue with the attendant or with us. Many times they actually believe that they have placed money in the machine and many times they try to get a free wash from us. Either way they are unhappy and they, and those who hear them argue, will not use those washers again. In most cases we lose them as customers and once customers are lost they never return.I placed them in a location where the previous Maytags had been heavily used, expecting them to replace the old machine. I was wrong. They are used very little and the long and short of it is that we are losing money and since our busy season is coming up, will be losing even more customers and therefore more money. I spent close to $12,000 on the machines, including delivery and installation and right now they are quickly becoming heavy paper weights. I have contacted the salesman who sold them to us, but he has given us the runaround and done nothing about the situation.

After 6 months of use, I still HATE my Maytag washer. I will never buy Maytag again! The machine must be tricked into adding additional water to wash. It begins to agitate with very little water! Destroying my clothes! Also, I am having to hand wash all my underpants. They do not come out clean. If I could send it back, I would! Feel totally ripped off! I would give 0 stars, if I could!

The Bravo HE Washer was a cheap piece of garbage and I am very surprised Maytag put its name on it. It broke down exactly one year after the warranty went. It did not ever clean clothes properly and all stains remained even when you spot clean first and double rinse. Maytag basically ripped us all off and somebody should start a class action lawsuit for this thing they call a washing machine! What a joke! I wont repair it. It will just fall apart again. Im not stupid. I know this is how they pay their employees doing house calls! So now, I have to go to garage sales and look for one made in the 1970s because that is when machines were made in the USA and things were built to last, not this crud. Maytag should be ashamed. It is time for them to close its doors. Sorry but its true. They are just crooks now selling crud that falls apart! They owe me a full refund.

CONSUMER BEWARE! The Maytag Bravos X is without equal the biggest disappointment I have ever had the frustration of using. What a rip off! Water goes in, water goes out and it makes A LOT of noise. That’s it! (That locking lid should have been our first clue.) Specifically, a normal load takes one hour. What you save in water you pay double for in electricity. If you place a folded pair of pants in the washer that’s the way they come out; folded. Two twin sheets and a small blanket come out of the washer with dry spots every single time. If I use liquid fabric softener the clothes come out spotted with it. And it is louder than the train. You would be 100x better off purchasing a washer at a yard sale for $25 than to throw your money away on the Maytag Bravos X. DON’T DO IT.

I bought a Maytag Bravos from Home Depot back for around $1000 in Nov. 07. After 3 yrs, the whole tub assembly had to be replaced but I had bought a warranty so that was taken care of but it was out of service for about 2 months while I waited for parts. Now every time I use it, I get the OL on the control panel and it wont spin without getting out of control and stopping. Washers in the past have lasted me at least 15 yrs and cost less than half that much. I will never buy another Maytag ever. This is what happens when companies merge and quality is no longer important. I think the stock market ruins companies. Im currently looking for the best quality, large capacity washer on the market. I will pay more for quality but thats what I thought last time.

All of a sudden, the lid lock light is flashing. The washer is only 1.5 years old!

Used my washer ONE time and when the load was done my clothes were soaking wet. Tried to get the clothes to spin dry but the washer would not work. Called for repair. They replaced the activator. I did one load of laundry. It worked fine. Did a second load of laundry and the clothes were soaking wet. The washer would not do anything else.

I purchased my Maytag washing machine in June 2011 and within the first couple of uses, noticed that my clothes did not appear clean. I went back to Home Depot and complained and was told I had to use HE laundry detergent and I was. I gave it a while longer and still, nothing I washed ever seemed to come out clean. Sometimes, the fabric softener dispenser fills with water; other times the fabric softener remains in the dispenser. The machine makes very loud clunking noises during the wash cycle. I knew this machine was a lemon from the get-go. I should have insisted that Home Depot come take it away. I will never buy a Maytag appliance again! Maytag should have recalled this washer long ago and, if there was a Class Action law suit, I would surely join in!

I had a stroke last year in August and my children got together and bought me a washer. And after the third use this thing started messing up and I had to call in someone. Now the warranty is up and I am sitting here with a new broken down machine.

February 2011, I purchased a washer from Lowes and started having problems with the washer leaking and skipping cycles on the first week. Lowes exchanged the washer end of first week. The new washer started with not adding water in wash cycles. The repairmen sent by Maytag could not find any problem with the washer. The washer worked off and on for months with problems. Cycles with bleach added worked fine, but 3 or 4 loads later with no bleach having been added, it would produce bleach-stained clothes. The repairman came out again and could find the cause for skipping cycles, but suggested I run clean cycle every time I use bleach. It defeats the purpose of purchasing an HE water-efficient washer.The third repairman sat and watched the unit run a load and then he said I know what is wrong. He took the washer control panel apart and found the wire harness was not properly connected from tub to control panel. I have not found what causes bleach stains 3 loads after the bleach was put in the washer. I will not recommend this unit to anyone because of manufacturing problems with harness assembly.

There should be a recall. Just look at the number of people complaining about this same exact occurrence about the control panel not activating. Im on my second control panel in 24 months. Some people are on their fourth already. Give me a break. There needs to be a recall and a redesign of this thing, which turned out to be a piece of junk washer.

Our washer stinks. We have done all the things suggested by Maytag, and it still stinks. Maytag suggested having it serviced by A&E, but I see on the Internet that they are probably not the best choice (very bad reviews). We called our local Maytag dealer, and they said that there is no fix available. They just stink. We will buy a new washer and will never buy anything Maytag again. I would suggest the same to everyone else.

Brand new washing machine model MHW8200FW purchased at Karls, a Ferguson subsidiary, in Madison, NJ end of June, 2017. I wanted to buy a top of the line machine and this is what the sales person recommended to me. Problems started soon after purchase. Initially I contacted Maytag because the machine wouldnt spin dry a cotton bath mat weighing 4.5lbs soaking wet. I was told I should put more items in the machine to help balance it. Well there WERE more items and the machine wouldnt spin dry them either. I tried every trouble shooting Maytag suggested. Having exhausted my nerves, I called for service. The technician came and said these machines are extremely sensitive and that sometimes they wont even run an empty cycle. He said this is a common complaint with these units. One of his suggestions was to take bath mats, duvets, comforters... articles like that to a laundromat.I did less than 10 wash cycles after his visit when the washer started having more issues and finally broke down completely. The technician who came this time wrote a repair order indicating a mechanical (Stator) AND electrical (Control Panel) breakdown ($500+ for the parts alone if the unit wasnt under warranty). He also stated that he had never seen such problems in a brand new machine.I contacted Maytag for an exchange. Maytag customer service wrote to me that the breakdowns are ... normal, with all the units we sell some may have a defect in the first couple of months... and refused to exchange my defective unit. I can accept that there may be a defect that will warrant a repair, but in this case there are multiple defects in separate systems - mechanical and electrical - within the first month of service. This shouldnt warrant any further discussion, only a quick replacement and an apology.

I purchased this product at an authorized Maytag dealer sixteen months ago (Maytag front-Loading washer, model MHWE55OWW1) for approximately $1,500. The main bearing and drum are now shot. Maytag has acknowledged that it is likely defective. Notwithstanding their conclusion, Maytag has chosen not to offer a repair or replacement. The conclusion is simply that Maytag does not make a very good product, and any prospective purchasers can expect that they will not get any customer support for their products.

Never waste your money and buy Maytag washer. Mine is XL large tub and has extra wash for extra clean. Dont waste your money. Never fills up with enough water. Almost everytime I wash I have to rewash the load because the clothes are still dirty, have soap spots and most of the time the clothes didnt even get wet. Horrible Horrible washer!!! My water bill has gone up a lot because I have to rewash the load so thats twice... I cant even use the XL tub because it wont fill up with water. Horrible product. Cant believe Maytag is still in business. They dont stand behind product. Called. Complained. They gave me nothing except for some free pods to clean a washer thats only 6 months old. Purchased a new top loading HE washer in 9/2012. This machine gets very little use - approximately 10-12 loads a month. It is now broken awaiting parts which will cost about $200. Of course the warranty is only good for 12 months There is no excuse for a washer this new breaking and costing this much to repair. What a piece of junk! Avoid all Maytag products.

Our front load washer is two weeks past the one year warranty and need $650 in repairs! I will never purchase a Maytag product again. My last Maytag was 19 years old when we got this new front loader for energy efficiency. You dont save money when you have to replace it after one year.

I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing this machine. The plastic tub cracked and leaked all over laundry floor after only 30 loads. Part is unavailable. We will have to wait 3-6 weeks for a repair. Manufacturer will not agree to providing a new machine. Machine is only 3 months old.

Like many I have never wasted my time writing a review, this time I have had it. Purchased all new appliances from Maytag, biggest mistake I have made in the last 10 years. Front loading washer is the main culprit. Doesnt clean clothes, have had to replace the rubber boot on the inside twice now, machine is only 3 years old. Maytag basically treats you like youre stupid, resend instructions like that will fix their broken P.O.S machine. I will never buy another Maytag and will be sure to let everyone know what a piece of garbage, from machine to company! Bought this Maytag Bravo washer in 2013 expecting long service life like I had with my previous machine. After 2 years spin cycle noise got progressively worse. Until now it roars loudly and keeps stopping in the spin cycle for rebalancing. Called Maytag. Experience was as described as others have reported with them and their repair service. Absolutely no help unless I spend another $310 for extended warranty to cover the $380 part (tub and bearing - 1 unit - cant get only the bearing). Paid $800 for the washer now more for the repair wanted. $1100-$1200 for a machine that will need repair again in a couple of years? Dont think so. This machine is only good for a boat anchor. Going out today to buy a replacement for $400 and it wont be a Maytag or its affiliates brand. Feel like a class action suit would be good for Maytag to wake up to.

After 2 years and 1 month, the machine stopped spinning the clothes on any of the cycles. After attempting to use the spin cycle manually that stopped working. I called Maytag, my washer is out of warranty. After discussing the situation with knowledgeable appliance people, they said it is probably the motherboard. I know how expensive that is to repair and pay for a repairman to diagnosis the problem. I decided to purchase a new washer. Of course, it was not a Maytag. I read online all the people with same or similar problems left out of luck. This is an outrage and Maytag should not be allowed to get away with producing, selling and not standing behind the products. These machines should have been recalled and replaced with ones that are upstanding and will last for more than 2 years.

Three-year-old top load Bravos. Started doing the LD/SD tango about one year ago. Intermittent fault, but becoming more prevalent. Can spend an entire day attempting to finish one load; sometimes must be unplugged overnight to clear faults. Washer receives heavy use from extended family of five adults and two children but has never been overloaded. Machine is horribly flimsy and constructed of the cheapest possible materials. I wish I had removed the back prior to purchase.Just because it is possible to attach a processor to a piece of equipment doesnt mean its necessarily a great idea. Any geek can tell you that the three things most despised by a digital device are heat, humidity, and vibration. A washing machine by definition is an epicenter, a breeding ground, for those specific environmental factors. Well done, Maytag. I have to rewash many load of dark clothing because pale white smears appear on the clothing most times. Ive tried various cleaning methods to try to remove any residue that might be in the walls of the tub. I just bought this piece of junk... Like everyone else I guess I didnt do enough research! I have had this washer for less than 3 weeks and just like everyone else I am so disappointed in how it tries to wash without water! I too have tried different settings. I had to wash a load 3 times... pausing it while trying to get the rest of the items wet. Its ridiculous... of course now to try and see if I can return it! Yah right... Home Depot does not have a good return policy and Im afraid I will be out 800+ with this washer. This is ridiculous! It really is.

I bought a Maytag washing machine, model number MHW6630HW2 in January 2021. It works fine on ordinary loads, but it cannot spin the water out of bulky items, not on any setting. I put my machine-washable winter coat in the washer and it left it full of water. I re-tried on 4 different settings, and though the washer spins, it cant spin out the water. I went to the Maytag support site. The sites said my model doesnt exist. The phone number for support does not allow you to get any support other than a service call. The Chat option doesnt give a lot of support either. They said that if I call for a service appointment and the service technician finds that the machine does do a spin cycle, then the appointment is not covered under warranty.

I purchased a MTW6600TB0 Washer and Dryer on 6/17/07. I have had issues with the washer from the beginning; smell in towels and mechanical problems as well. The machine does not fill properly and receive error codes that are electrical issues per A & E service. I get LF errors occasionally and randomly on different cycles. I finally called for service because I now am receiving F51 Error, which has to do with the basket per A & E service technician. I was told on Black Friday that my machine required both baskets and the rotary motor. My machine is just 4/5 years old. No unusual wear and tear. There are only three people in my family and we live in a fairly warm climate so no heavy winter clothing, etc. I was told that my stainless steel basket was rusting to my plastic basket. I am still trying to comprehend the fact that two materials that are not supposed to rust are rusting. After looking for a new washer over Thanksgiving weekend, I find out that Maytag warranties their stainless steel basket and rotary motors for 10 years. So do they warranty the things they say the warranty or not? Of course, it is a holiday weekend and I cannot get a hold of Maytag. I paid for a service call and the technician told me I would be responsible for the repairs at about $500 for parts plus labor. I looked up the parts he recommended replacing and it was over $800. I paid $1000 for this machine less than 5 years ago. Thats $200 a year for the privilege to use a Maytag. Additionally, my set is black. I can not find a black washer anywhere.

I purchased this washing machine from Home Depot in 2012. I am amazed that it lasted this long after reading the reviews on here. It will not drain water, it will not spin. I see many customers bought the same washer and are having multiple issues. When will Maytag recall these machines? I bought a Maytag washer (Centennial) because of its reputation. I didnt even realize this site was out here and would have made another selection had I known. I bought the washer on June 7th of 2011. On June 15, 2012, the washer just quit working. I called Maytag. They said since the warranty was over that I had to pay a technician to come out and it would cost $129. I was upset but I had to have a washer so I scheduled it. The tech came out and said the motherboard was bad. He said that this has been a common problem with this machine and that Maytag should actually recall the part. The replacement part was much better. He suggested I call and complain. The part was $180. He said that Maytag may reimburse me because it was so close to the warranty cut off. I called Maytag to explain the situation, and what do you think their response was? Since you already paid for it, there isnt anything we can do. Nice! What a joke. I will never buy another product from them and neither should anyone else.

I have a washing machine that I purchased in August 2010 that is not working. A certified Maytag technician came out and informed me that the shifter assembly went bad and needs to be replaced. The machine is only 19 months old and they are telling me it will cost $352.25 to replace this part. I only paid $549 for the machine. This was a poorly manufactured part and a very expensive repair for a newer machine. This part did not give out to normal wear and tear. I just spoke to a supervisor at Maytag customer service and she said Maytag would not replace the part or offer any kind of discount. I am so disappointed in this answer and type of customer service from a major corporation. I am willing to pay for the labor (not that I should have to), but had hoped Maytag would at least help with the cost of the part. Basically, Im out of luck because the machine is no longer within the one year parts warranty. I will never buy Maytag again.

Purchased this washer in March of 2016 for a family of 2. In July of 2018 had to have system board replaced. Now here we are beginning of 2020 and washer is making grinding noise and did not spin out properly. Will not buy another Maytag, a washer should last more than 4 years. Poor quality product. Do not waste your money!

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL at the end of June 2013 because my washer of 14 years finally quit. On the 2nd load of laundry I ran, the machine began making a terrible grinding noise. It sounds as if I am washing a load of rocks while its on the wash cycle. I immediately called the local store I purchased it from and they sent a technician out to look at the machine. He couldnt figure out why it was making this noise, so he called Maytags techs for assistance. They had him run a battery of tests and they finally determined they needed to replace the motor. Are you kidding me? On a brand new machine?! Now Im thinking I have a lemon for sure. They replaced the motor and the machine continues to make the same noise. Ive called Maytags Customer Service to let them know about the garbage theyre producing and all I got was attitude. The warranty only covers parts and does not replace machines, so Im stuck in the song and dance of lets try to figure this out and see how they can make this piece of junk work. I then asked to speak to a manager. She offered me a 6 month extended warranty for free. I guess thats a big sign that Im going to need it since what they are producing is garbage. Whatever happened to customer satisfaction? Its now just the too bad attitude. Now, I feel like Im being held hostage by my machine because I have to take time off of work for appointments with service technicians. Wheres Maytags compensation for my time and the hassle of having to deal with this? I paid $1000 for something and I guess its too much to ask for it to actually work. I am all for buying American (the machine had a sticker, proudly made in Ohio) but if this is the quality of work that they are producing they should be embarrassed to work for this company. I will never buy a Maytag again and am making it my mission to warn others of my expensive mistake!

This is the noisiest washing machine ever manufactured - cannot do laundry at night or no one sleeps, during the evening it overpowers the television. Dark washes are a nightmare as there is a white smear (soap scum?) on everything (guess you don’t see it on whites) - extra rinse does not help. What happened to this “reliable company”???

I bought this machine in 2013 and within a year it had stopped going through any cycle. It turns off and I either have to restart a cycle or set the machine to rinse/spin. My clothes do not seem clean so I have begun handwashing them before putting them in the machine. I retrieve clothes and find some clothes dry. My towels have worn spots and threads pulled out. I cannot wait till I get a new washer because I am going to put this Maytag Bravos in the backyard and take a baseball bat to this hunk of junk.
