After two years of light use of Maytag Washer 300 Series (MHWE300VW13), it stopped working. I bought Maytag Repair Plan Plus One on Oct. 8, 2012. I scheduled a service appointment on the 9th of October and was told the broken part needed to be backordered and that I should get the parts on November 5th. I have waited for almost one month. Today is November 6th and I received an email and was told I will have to wait another month! Am I in America? There are so many complaints about Maytag washers online. Can the consumer be protected? Am I complaining to the air here?!

You can not add water to the fill, blankets dont even get wet when you wash them, you can do double rinse but cant control the fill, have to sit there and lift the lid up and down for 20 minutes to get enough water in the machine! The washing machines have turned into absolute garbage! Wish I would have come here first, whats the difference if I control the load size water or IF I SELECT DOUBLE RINSE? THIS WASHER 200% GUARANTEED I WILL NEVER BUY A MAYTAG AGAIN. ABSOLUTE TRASH FOR $700.

My washer is just past warranty and making horrible sounds! I have always liked Maytag but their quality is bad. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing my washer and want to tell anyone reading this to NOT buy one. My last Frigidaire washer lasted 15 years with minimal repair. Shame on you Maytag!!!

Our less than five yr old washer finally died. It had been making awful sounds. Started in only very small loads but then started in bigger loads too. It finally stopped altogether. Model number MVWC400XW4. I would NOT recommend this washer.

No adequate response from Maytag. Unsafe washer. Will be taking this to consumer protection as my scrubs are coming out of the wash with blood etc. left on the articles, even with bleach used. Very serious for all concerned. If you have someone with shingles or any other transmittable skin disease in your household, do not use this washer.

Maytag Bravo X-We bought this washing machine not even 4 years (February 2013) ago from Lowes. We had this issue before the warranty went up a couple of times and then it stopped and started working fine. We contacted Maytag before... But of course beings the issue resolved there was no way to send someone out here to troubleshoot the problem. Now it is doing it all the time. A few months ago it went out of warranty. We are having issues with it going into the spin cycle and it will stop there and it will not spin out my clothes and finish draining. Contacted them and they want to charge money for a service tech to come out just to look at it. Lord only knows how much it would cost to fix.

This washing machine just sprinkles water on your clothes then ties them up in knots. And to add insult to injury, needs repairing every year or so. Horrible! It does have a couple of redeeming qualities, but they definitely dont outweigh the cons. It spins the clothes quite dry and has a large capacity. I have dogs and kids who play football and a husband who does construction, and its not unusual to find lumps of dirt and fur trapped in an article of clothing or blanket. All my bras and sweaters get ruined, it twists them up horribly. The blankets and sheets end up in a mushroom shape. Sad to say, NOT good. I like Maytag, but not BRAVOS.

I cannot control the water level which results in smelly and not very clean clothes. I follow all the manufacturers guidelines but after several washes, the smell comes back.

I am so sorry to see so many people having the same problem. Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749AWM2 purchased 12-10-11. Control Panel needs replaced (260.00...service call, part and labor). Writing this as Ive spent the last 20 mins on hold with Maytag. Im demanding them to make this right. Ive been told by Trisha at Maytag not to believe all these post as people tend to exaggerate the problems. Anybody have info on class action lawsuit? ?

I bought a Maytag Washer in October of 2012. So far we have had to have repairs to it (4) times. The motor falls out. We are very dissatisfied with the product. We have always purchased Maytag products and fee we should get a new washer. The warranty is up in one month. If there is anything you can do to help it would be appreciated. A $1,000.00 for a washer is a lot of money for something that does not work and takes a week to get a repairman. Thanks.

Maytag XL Washer - My new machine is awful as well. Black clothes are smeared with I dont know what... looks like dirt. The wrinkle cycle doesnt work and the bedding cycle forget. Wish I read reviews... silly me.

So I read the reviews when I bought this Maytag Bravo Washer and figured stuff happens. We bought the top load Maytag Brava in 2013. We bought the Home Depot warranty, 2 years later the washer was leaking water. 5 repair visits and 3 attempts to fix the leak before it was repaired. As of 4-25-17 the wash machine displayed un-level errors and started vibrating with a thundering noise. Called out warranty repair and they stated we need new bearings. Repair is scheduled in 2 days and now the wash machine is thundering and spewing oil so it is shut off. 4 years old, and like the other complaints clothes come out with dry patches and not clean. This is a bad machine, we are saving for our next washer. It will have an old style spindle/agitator, no California efficiency and probably not Maytag.

I bought this machine a year and a half ago. The entire drum and spin motor need to be replaced. Maytags warranty only lasted 1 year. I bought it at Home Depot, and also purchased the extended 5 year warranty. The extended warranty is as bad as the washing machine. I am now just 2 days shy of 4 weeks of trying to deal with both parties. Ive had to take my laundry in to have it done. The cost of the laundry, the cost of the machine, and the cost of the warranty is more than $200 more than what Home Depots Extended Protection Plan is willing to reimburse/refund. Home Depot does as much as Maytag when it comes to standing behind what they sell. An $800 washing machine only good for 18 months, really???

I purchased the Top Loading Maytag Washer and have had nothing but an awful experience with this washer. The dark clothes come out with soap on them. I then need to take a wet towel to wipe out the soap stains. I have had a repairman in 2 times so far and there is nothing he can do to fix it. Maytag said I must wash all the towels with towels, all jeans with jeans, roll clothes into a loose ball before putting in machine, use the extra rinse cycle and the longest wash cycle and do not load clothes more than 5-6 inches high in the tub plus 7 other things I must do to get a clean load and none of those things have worked yet. If the salesperson would have told me all this, I never would have purchased a Maytag and nor should you!

Like the other poor reviews here- this Bravos top load washer is the worst. So wish we had returned it!!! There is never enough water in the machine on normal cycle to get all the clothes wet so how in the world would anyone expect the clothes to get clean? Just ridiculous - and whoever invented this machine, plus those who tested it, need to have their head examined! Hate it so much.

Bought this because it’s American made. It seems to be very glitchy. If you don’t use the detergent drawer it always flashes low detergent. The quick wash leaves soap on clothes. It acts up and leaves clothes too wet. No buzzer to tell you when it’s done. Have to hold button for 3 seconds to start. You can’t just hit button and walk away. Then wait for it to sense the load first to make sure it starts. Very expensive model.

We bought the Maytag Bravos XL washer 6 years ago when we moved into a new home. We have a large family and after reading many reviews, we settled on this washer. It has served us well for the past 6 years. At the moment, however, it is out of commission. The bearings wore out. My husband ordered new parts and we hope to have our washer up and running again in a couple of days.

This machine does a great job at cleaning clothes. The clothes are always great in color, and removal of removable spots. The cycles are not too long and the machine is not noisy. Machine is nice looking and water cycles can be normal or large.

My new Maytag washing machine does NOT CLEAN clothes or anything else. Waste of money. I have soft water, use bleach, hot water, Tide. I have even tried adding some baking soda. No use. I cannot wait until I can find a washing machine that works.

Maytag Neptune Washer Drum Bearings have once again failed. Last time, I replace the whole drum via diy, cost was about $160 for the part. Now I see that outer drum is $500 +/-. I just may only replace the Seals & Bearings this time OR just part this thing out and buy a real machine without the Maytag name.

I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

I purchased my washing machine in July 2020 and it was broken by November. It took months without a washer before the warranty finally replaced my machine. I had the second machine less than 6 months when the water pump went out on it. They told me it would be two weeks for the repairman to come out. In the meantime my clothes were locked in the washer half full of dirty water. They told me we would have to force the lock to retrieve the clothes so they would not mold. The repairman called, never showed up, just called to ask what was wrong. Told me he would order parts and I had to wait 21 days to see if they would be able to find them. Today is day 21. I called the warranty back and was told it would be escalated and someone would call me in 4 days with a resolution. In the meantime I have spent $60 a week doing laundry for my family of 6 at the laundromat for MONTHS. Out of the 18 months have dealt with Maytag, I have spent more than 6 months at the laundromat. When I asked to be reimbursed the money I have spent they offered me a free 6 month extended warranty or a fifty dollar gift card. This product is garbage! The customer service is garbage. Dont waste your money.

Last August I bought the Maytag Bravos XL. I have had 3 repairmen try to fix my problems with it and they cannot. The problem is, they cant fix an appliance that isnt designed correctly! Without water, one cannot wash. Dont be mislead that the huge area inside can be used for large objects like sheets and comforters. This machine is MUCH harder on my sheets and comforters than my old machine with a center agitator. I have shredded rugs, holes in sheets, black lines on clothes and a chlorine dispenser that puts spots on everything. The detergent dispenser hardware is rusted as well. Folks if this machine was an automobile, IT WOULD BE RECALLED!

Add me to the list of people who hate this washing machine. It does not use enough water to get clothes really clean, leaves spots, is hard on clothes and tears them up, and the spin cycle gets unbalanced too easily. It has taken me hours to wash one load with a blanket in it because of the spin problems. I have not been able to restart the spin cycle without starting the wash cycle from the beginning.

I have NEVER written a review however I am compelled to write up and if I can save at least 1 family from making the mistake I did then my review will be worth it so just before Christmas last year I treated myself to a new washer. I looked at so many. Only 2 things on my wish list were 1) American Made and 2) have a large capacity for blankets and bedding. Well, I was so excited about my Maytag Bravos XL Washer but my excitement didnt last long. 4. There is a major design flaw in this machine. I have given it plenty of time and have tried to talk myself to liking it but when you have to wash the white loads at least 3 times to get them clean and still not getting the results expected then its time to admit to yourself that I made a mistake.The large capacity drum is an irrelevant because once the clothes are wet they become too heavy for the drum base to actually agitate the clothes. What ends up actually happening is your wet clothes sit in a pile. The user tends to scale the loads back to help the machine. The above problem is partly due to the fact that the machine NEVER fills up the drum with enough water to submerge the clothes where perhaps they would be able to move freely with the base agitator and the drum rotating. This model was marketed as water conserving however we find ourselves washing loads 2-4 times to achieve the desired outcome. Conserving water at this point is a joke... we end up using more water and energy to get a load of clothes clean.Bleach dispenser does not empty completely during the white cycle even when less than recommended measurements are used. If a load of whites needs to be washed we have to wash with bleach on the 1st go, and then 2 more cycles without bleach. Otherwise anything washed after the whites gets spots of bleach on them. For these and many more reasons this machine should NOT be on the market and especially not for over $800 USD! And I would not want this product to represent US production. It does not deliver on any of its selling points and is overpriced.

I purchased a new Maytag top loader at Home Depot. They delivered and set up. From the first load, I have had problems with the washer stopping and jerking. Clothing becomes a tangled mess. I contacted Maytag, they suggested I make sure I put on proper setting for the items within the washer. I do not know how one can fail at putting sheets in the washer and putting the setting on sheets and they are so twisted you have to spend time pulling them apart. This happens to almost everything I wash. I believe that I have a lemon, still under warranty, Maytag believes I should pay for a house call. Home Depot will only forward the information to me that Maytag gives to them.

Purchased Maytag Bravos Washer in 2013. Used a little over a year and had to put it in storage for 2 years. Biggest piece of junk Ive ever had. Ive had cheap washers that lasted more than 20 years! Repairman said all diagnostics read normal. I put a very small load in to show him the water was not even wetting the clothes and only swishing them around a little. The shirt on top never got wet and was still in its same position when it went into the final spin. He said this is normal. He recommended I dump the machine and find an old NON Maytag model with the tall agitator!!! Ive tried using all the settings combinations; and the water level never gets all the clothes wet and clothes do not get clean. Will NEVER buy a Maytag product again.

The new technology on the washers is useless and saves no energy or water. People figure out how to get more water in the tub and use that setting. There is not small or medium water fill anymore.

The Maytag Bravo is a big waste of money. Get a less expensive machine. You will have no problems and save money. This is my experience: SETTINGSYou cannot control the settings completely. Every setting is preset. For example, if you choose the Bulky setting, you cannot choose the water save spray rinse. Those two cannot be selected together. Certain settings can only be selected with certain temperatures. This will however be the least of your problems. WASHINGIt does not get clothes clean. I have had instances of items coming out with still stuff stuck to them, not just stains, but actual solid material stuck to it. My cat threw up in his bed and when I got it out, it still had small pieces of vomit stuck to it. I have always only used the Bulky setting which fills up the whole drum, so there is sufficient water to wash. I cannot imagine what it would be like if I used the Normal setting. Many times I had to wash thing twice. If you use the normal setting, you will get hardly any water. It will be a moist bundle of clothes moving like a big lump. You need water and some degree of friction to eliminate the dirt. SPINNINGIt is constantly stopping, beeping and showing me the UL sign (uneven load). You have to unravel the items and reposition them Around the drum. If you are an old lady like me, this is a real chore because the items are now soaking wet and very heavy. Also, because there is no agitator, the items come out in knots (tied to one another) and you have to separate them. DURABILITYThe lid is loose. It looks like it may be missing a screw on one side. It still locks, but it moves sideways when you close it and open it. BOTTOM LINEThe whole thing is a disaster. Get an old fashion type. It will work better and you can save your money. I honestly think there should be a class action suit against Maytag.

I bought the power wash Bravos XL... Bad. It does not rinse the clothes, leaves residue on dark clothes.. probably all clothes - cant tell on lighter colors. I dont recommend!!! Waste of money.

In 2011, we purchased this Maytag Centennial MVWC200XW1 washer. It will not complete the cycle when it goes into rinse and spin, will not empty water and once the cycle starts, it sounds like someone is inside with a hammer banging on the basket. Clothes come out with a powder residue on them and several pieces have had holes. Called Maytag and was told there was no service available in our area. I will never purchase another Maytag product. Used by two adults a couple of times a week, this machine should be trashed. I have to hand-wring our laundry as we cannot afford to replace at this point. My last washer was a GE and I had it for over 20 years, we replaced it because we moved into a new home thinking Maytag was the best out there. I checked for a recall because there are so many complaints on other sites but found none. We purchased from Home Depot and of course, they are no help.

I purchased an Atlantis washer in 2005 and assumed that Maytag was still one of the better manufacturers. How naive of me! What genius at Maytag thought it was a good idea to place the water filter inside the washer? Not only can you not keep the filter clean so that cold water will flow properly, even worse, if the filter completely clogs, the water will not stop filling into the tub which could, of course cause an overfill and flood. I narrowly escaped this scenario once. No one should have to stand and watch their machine fill with water to insure it stops. Now the machine is causing a grinding noise when agitating. I expect it to stop working any day. I will not buy another Maytag or Whirlpool, who of course now owns Maytag. And I will not pay another repair bill for the filter or any other part. The brand was once considered the best in America, now its just another brand thats a piece of junk produced in another country.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer that has gotten to where every time you try to run the final spin, you get an unbalanced load code and it shuts off - it does this even when you try running it empty. This washer is 3 years old, and has been doing this progressively worse for the last 4 months until now. We cannot even get it run the final spin cycle now.

This washer is the worst! Dont buy it! I paid a huge amount of money only to have it break down in 3 years! My husband and I live without children so our use is minimal. The spin cycle started to make a noise sounding like an airplane taking off. The repairman said it could be fixed for $800 and his service call, he told me that there were over 2400 complaints with this washer for the same product. He also told me not to use it while Im out to avoid the risk of flooding my home! Save your money and DONT BUY MAYTAG products.

Maytag BRAVOS XL Washer - The worst washer I have ever used. Do not buy! It does not use enough water and leaves a white scummy residue on dark clothes. You have to wash them all off in warm water and then send it through one or two more rinses to get it washed off. I may as well do laundry by hand! Absolutely disgusting!

Same as the rest of complaints. Dryer needed a new motor 3 months after purchase. Crazy. Door magnet replaced at 5 months. Lint screen replaced. Washer electrical board replaced at 8 months. Cloths come out wrinkled, tore up with holes and I have like bleach spots on clothes that I didn’t use bleach with. Now the washer is screeching and coming UL. My husband thinks its the bearings and tub seal. Called Sears and parts alone are 185.00 not counting labor. Of course its out of warranty now. Seen comments about a class action lawsuit. I really think this product deserves one. Why should we as consumers have our hard earned money wasted on a product that doesnt meet our standards for a quality washing machine that we thought we were buying. Whos in.

My Maytag washing machine is rusting out at less than three years! [Photos included]. I have called customer service twice, spoken to two different women and have been told that it is a cosmetic issue [Model MTW2541240; Serial CW2541240 ]. The last e-mail with photos was sent to Gwendolyn **. I indicated that the rust has ruined very expensive sheets, other clothing, towels. It took me a long time to figure out what was causing the spots on the clothes. There is rust on the outside of the machine, the lid and inside the actual drum which holds the water. The machine is a lemon. You have me registered in your system with the date of purchase.My question to you, since when is rust in the inside of a washing machine a cosmetic issue? Are you aware of this issue? Do you as the CEO believe this is what is acceptable for a Maytag washing machine? I firmly suspect this issue is beyond my washer based on my research with various stores and sales people. They are telling me I am not the first with this issue, non-Lowes stores. I purchased the machine at Lowes and because no one at Whirlpool was responsive to him or to Lowes, he is offering to apply the refund to a new Lowes washing machine. I am now in the process of searching my credit card records from Sept-Oct 2008 which is when I bought the machine.I would like not to be restricted to Lowes for another washing machine. I will notify Rick ** (at the Lowes Turtle Creek, Coconut Creek store in Florida, telephone 954 346-3993) of this letter to you so that you and Rick dont think I am trying to obtain a double refund. I just want the full value of the washer back so that I will have a choice in the replacement. The selection at Lowes is limiting. I will upgrade to more of a commercial washer and pay the difference. I wanted you to be made aware of this issue.

I saw something on your website about Maytag Neptune class action suit back in late 2005. I have owned one, never was notified of the settlement, and saw this since I have a mildew problem also in my washer. They are not willing to do anything about the repair on my machine, but send out someone and make me pay for it. Since I bought it in 2002, I would want to know why was I not included in the repairs and why wont they honor me in this since I am the machines original owner. Help, I worry that I am not having clean clothes and it is contributing to illness due to mold spores!

I found this washing machine reliable for over 10 years. I paid more for this brand but it was worth the extra cost. I found this washing machine Simple to use. I would recommend this washing machine.

Have had continual problems with Maytag Bravos. They will replace in under a 5 year warranty. If not for the warranty, I would be out over 700 dollars spent on this very bad machine. Based on my experience Maytag washers are of poor quality. I would stay away.

The engineering of all these new machines are totally useless. Bring back the old tech. They DRY wash, NO WATER, they take forever to finish, wasting energy, clothing not cleaned. They are very noisy, doing nothing. Time to recall all of these units. They are totally useless.

Maytag Bravos Top Loader Model #MVWB400V90 washing machine went out and was showing code F1 code. I looked in the book and it said call service. So, I called Maytag who provided a repair number for the local authorized dealer appliance doctor. I called them 2 weeks later and the tech said, Before I do anything, you have a common problem I’ve been seeing with the motherboard in these machines. You should contact Maytag, and charged me a $100.00 service call fee. Then when I called the Maytag line, 1-800 253-1301, the first lady says I have 2 options: purchasing a $315.00 program plus which would send a tech, cover the part and 1 year warranty or get the number for an authorized repair place. But after hearing the first option, I didnt like either. She proceeded to tell me I could no longer have option 1 because I called a tech out. What?! Where do you think I got the number from, hello?! Then after I asked for a supervisor or manager, they put someone on the line who claimed to be the last and final authority (Robin) that I could speak to. When I asked does she have a boss, she said doesnt everybody? I said after several condescending comments by her. I am being treated like I am not the person who just spent 700 plus dollars and after only 3 years, my washing machine is out and you are treating me like I am the bad guy. I asked for a complaint line or email address to voice my concern but again Robin stated the buck stopped with her; what?! Is this the Maytag my family would own 20 plus years later going strong or a new version who doesnt care after you purchase their washer if it lasts or not? To ask me to spend 600 plus in repairs after you tried to offer me 300 plus in a program is ridiculous and I will never ever buy a Maytag because of this response plus treatment. I will have to buy a whole new washer after only 3 years but I am going to tell the entire world to avoid Maytag if they want a washer to last without any type of resolution beyond doing it yourself.

Maytag washer, model# mvwp575gw0, which is under warranty. This washer is less than one year old. Within the first couple months the transmission leaked oil and service tech had to replace the transmission. A few months later – another problem, clothes wet after spin cycle - tech told me the agitator base and/or couple parts need replaced. Quality control appears to have been lacking at the factory when this washer was made. This house has only one person presently. The washer was not abused.

I hate my new Maytag washer and wish I had never purchased it. Theres no way to control the water level in it, and on sensor mode, the clothes are barely wet and rubbing against each other creating wear. Things come out with soap stains and twisted up so tight that I dont believe water got close enough to the dirt to carry it away. Dont waste your money.

Purchased this Calypso machine as a second machine for my ranch to handle really dirty clothes. Purchased from Sears Outlet as a refurb machine would be fine for the purpose. Machine was alleged to work by Sears. Paid several hundred for the machine, brought it home, and voila it does not work. New hoses, ran all the checks, and will not fill. Called Sears and, despite the statements of the manager, was told that I have to have a 3 day old machine repaired and not replaced. This POS did not even work out of the box. Years ago I had a Calypso which is now a flower pot. Junk, Junk, Junk. NEVER buy anything from Maytag or Whirlpool.

Bought this because of the load capacity and it seemed like it would be a good purchase to help save on water. But worst mistake ever. The water level barely touches the clothes on top. It barely has any water whatsoever. All my dark colored clothes come out with residue. It’s disgusting and cleaning with Affresh does no good either. Very disappointed with the company.

My clothes sometimes come with white spots on them. My clothes are very twisted. I would LOVE to have Maytag replace my washing machine so I could again sing their praises!!!

Water ran out of washer and flooded my garage. 1) Replace computer. 2) Wrong computer. 3) Water still flooding garage. 4) May need water valve. 5) Showed up didnt know what to do, then left. 6) Whole new tub - 3 hour repair - 2 weeks until they have time to repair. Still waiting. HELP.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo series thinking we were buying the best product... not! The washer has been running great. But when it came time to clean the washer on the Affresh cycle, the washer overflowed. It turns out the washer fills up higher on the Affresh cycle than it does on the regular wash cycles. Well, that’s why it overflowed; the plastic tub that hold the water had a freaking crack in it near the top! This washer isnt even 3 months old. I had to get a repairman in here once to check it out, then again to come back and fix it. At least it was under warranty. Im afraid what else will happen. Piece of crap Maytag, great quality checks! Maybe hire some real people that can see what the hell they are doing in quality. I told them about the damages to my basement. They sent me paperwork to fill out. Forget it, the paperwork gives you the runaround!

I sent an email to Maytag regarding my Maytag Bravos washer which I purchased two years ago at a cost of $1,100. I have started having problems with the machine last week. I kept getting the UL error code. I called a certified appliance person to come out to find out what was wrong. I do not believe any of the appliance people know what to do for these machines.First, I was told it was the control board that needed to be replaced, then I was told the motor had a crack in it and it needed to be replaced, and then the springs needed to be replaced. So they replaced the springs. This was a Tuesday afternoon. It worked fine until Wednesday of the next week and I started getting the F51 code. Just let me say if you cannot stand behind your parts on a $1,100 washer that is only two years old, then something is very wrong. I am in for $159 on repairs so far. Who knows what the cost will be to finally get the machine repaired.

My Maytag top loading washer, 4 years old, stopped working in the middle of a wash cycle. Registered Maytag repairman did a diagnosis and finally identified the problem with the control board. The cost of the control board would have cost almost as much as the original wash machine especially since I had to pay for the current service call and labor (to diagnose the problem). After having read a number of other reviews from dissatisfied customers, I will not buy another Maytag product. I was under the impression that Maytag produced a superior appliance but was disappointed by this experience.

Bravos XL - This machine purchased in 2014 at Home Depot service plan, needed major repairs just over a year old. Tech working on this machine replaced the whole tub assy after Maytag want to just do the cheap repair and just do a bearing kit. Reading online all the hundreds and hundreds of the same complains Maytag has done nothing in good faith to replace these junk washers!! My washer is now leaking under the washer less than a year after the last repair!! My good friend purchased the same machine and has had the same issues and his has been down for weeks because the poor service person from Maytag service broke some of the new parts! Now the washer is leaking again. WHAT can be done. This not right!!! Public needs to be warned about these flawed machines and Home Depot is still promoting these Junk machines!!!

After less than two years the commercial washer we purchased from Lowe’s died. A repairman came out after a week and said it potentially needs a new control unit or computer. The control unit is on back order and we’ve been without a washer for a total of three weeks. The situation still remains unresolved and I’m regretting not going back to Samsung. After 9 years with a Samsung washer, it died and Samsung refunded the full price of the washer. It was a poor choice to choose American. :(

This is a Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW. This machine has been repaired a couple of times already and it has a will of its own. When it goes into that fast spin cycle that will kicks in and it starts moving. I wonder if someday its going to attack me. So, last Friday night we put a load in and it went into that fast spin cycle. It was making a noise like an elephant in labor so I looked in the laundry room.... Clouds of smoke were billowing out of the top of the machine. Our house will filling up with washing machine smoke! My husband stopped it, but I think it was a gnats hair close to bursting into flames. He looked into the front of the machine when the smoke dissipated and the entire gasket was in shreds. No more Maytag. Never. Im done.

Bought brand new. No deal, not on sale, not a return. Just heres money... give me working washer. This thing doesnt wash anything. It leaves soap all over the clothes. When you turn it on and wait til it starts washing, look in there with the lid open... theres barely any water! The clothes on top stay dry! The only way to wash your clothes in it is to add three-3 gallon buckets of water at the start of each STAGE of EACH cycle! My wife showed me after three months of washing clothes like this. Anyway, to the garbage with this and back to Whirlpool basics with me.

My experience over the past 2 years with my top loading Maytag washer is echoed in almost every review here. 1. Not enough water to clean the clothes 2. Clothes come out still dirty and covered with detergent 3. Barely agitates 4. Repeated repairs for leaking and computer board breakdown 5. Complete lack of interest by either Lowe’s and Maytag when contacted. I could write a long, detailed complaint but it has all been said quite well. We need to band together and file a class action lawsuit against Maytag. Any lawyers out there willing to take this on?

Thankfully, Home Depot replaced the washer when Maytag wouldnt authorize a replacement after I had it for 3 days. Maytag wanted me to order a part, wait for the part, and then schedule their third party service contractor. It’s been about 2 weeks without a washer. Ive been posting about my experience and received an email from Maytag asking me to post feedback on their site, but it was rejected. Their note to me was “Our publication guidelines do not permit content that references a service policy, customer service interaction, or customer service question.” In other words, theyre not at all interested in customer service. Maytag/Whirlpool is no longer the brand to look for.

I owned a Maytag Bravos top loading washer for 8 years, and I loved it. It caught on fire while washing a load. Thank God I was home or it could have burned my house down. Just wanted to post this somewhere to issue a warning.

The washer machine is only 2 years old and its broke, at first it wouldnt spin and now it wont wash. Everyone is saying between the parts and service fee, it will cost 200 to 300 dollars or more to fix, most technicians wont repair them because they say that we may as well cut our loss and just buy a new one. No one likes these machines. I wish I would have known what a sham the washer machines were before purchasing.

I bought this washer 2 years ago, it has always been noisy and not cleaned or rinsed my clothes very well. With dark clothes, I have to rinse them twice if not three times. Now it has quit throwing out the water all together and is not rinsing the clothes at all. Paid $72 for a repair man to hook it up to his computer and tell me there was nothing wrong with it. Told me it was how I was loading it. I dont think so. Now I have to replace a two-year old machine. I will buy a basic machine that only washes my clothes this time. Nothing is made to last these days.

Maytag washer manufacture changes are not worth a dime. I suspect EPA made the changes, and engineering was made by someone that has never washed a load of clothes in the entire life. There is no agitator and/or supposedly made to conserve water. Well, it saves water alright with each load. There will be a 2 foot circle in the middle of a bed sheet that doesnt get wet; the same with a sweaters. I have checked with different stores and all made the same. And heaven forbid if you dropped a sock and wanted to add it to the load with the mate. The lid locks. I am both angry and dissatisfied and will tell this same story to anyone wanting to purchase a washing machine.

Washer is noisy and water does not saturate clothes on normal wash. Have to use sheet setting for small or large load. Washer changes gears and it is so loud and clanks like something is falling apart.

I bought this washer three years ago. It is the worst washer I have ever owned. Washing a load of clothes, it goes off balance constantly, large load, small load...it doesnt matter. The smell because of low water usage is awful, and the clothes dont come out clean. I have to buy a new one and that really stinks. Maytag youre off my list for purchases. These days its quality that will keep you in business. We are too smart for this garbage.

Maytag Bravos XL Washer & Dryer - After a long 45-year use of our old GE W./D. that were still working fine when we decided it was finally time to upgrade. Big mistake. Nothing but dissatisfaction on every level of complaints by those who registered here before us and then some. This all was noticed almost immediately after purchase, but we lived with it trying not to believe our worse fears. That is until we both started breaking out with skin rashes. Just logged on this site after a Google search... We were shocked and disappointed in our purchase decision. We will join in a class action lawsuit if ever one is initiated... Any lawyers with one of these?

Horrible machine. Uses too little water, cycles are too long. No matter what the size of the load, it takes an hour. Just after 3 years the bearing went out on the machine. Cost for repair will be $250. Thats not even an electronic problem which Im sure would be next. NO THANKS. Im getting a new machine and it wont be a Maytag.

Machine is very loud. Clothes do not feel completely clean when wash cycle has finished. I have a sense that not all soap has been removed. Dark clothes have streaks of white residue. Must turn clothes inside out before washing. Very disappointed.

My Maytag 3000 series washer had to be worked on right after we purchased it. Now it stinks and is leaking. Repairs are going to be over 300 dollars. A part wore out. It should have lasted longer and why does the front loading washer stink. There is no door to open to clean the filter.

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

Purchase a Maytag Bravo XL Washer Model MVWB850YWO from a major Home Improvement store in January 2012 with a 4 year service plan. Since this time I had to replace a motor and 4 (that is right 4) control panels. Although I am covered under a protection plan, the cost of laundry services and an outage of 2 weeks for each event is very costly. This time I call Maytag for support on their product. Looking for someone to say that there is something wrong with this machine. I want to hear that their product should not perform like this. I was told from a supervisor in these words that Mrs. we only care about the machine the 1st year. After that you are on your own. When did Customer Service lose the service part? When did companies stop caring about their products they produce? I never heard I am sorry youre having trouble or even a recommendation. A machine this new should not have 4 control panels replaced. This is the reason no one wants to buy a Made in the USA product anymore because we know the employees working there do not care about keeping customer relations.

I bought a Maytag Bravos from Home Depot back for around $1000 in Nov. 07. After 3 yrs, the whole tub assembly had to be replaced but I had bought a warranty so that was taken care of but it was out of service for about 2 months while I waited for parts. Now every time I use it, I get the OL on the control panel and it wont spin without getting out of control and stopping. Washers in the past have lasted me at least 15 yrs and cost less than half that much. I will never buy another Maytag ever. This is what happens when companies merge and quality is no longer important. I think the stock market ruins companies. Im currently looking for the best quality, large capacity washer on the market. I will pay more for quality but thats what I thought last time.

My washer is great. It get the job done. Have no agitator so I can wash 2 comforters. I really like Maytag Heavy Duty. Can get the job done right the first time. Self clean itself also. Also it is a efficiency.

During 2018 we purchased Maytag Bravos top loader to replace antique KitchenAid. Very dissatisfied at first, but luckily found the settings that makes my machine work very well on every cycle. First add 1/2 gallon of water to empty tub. Add detergent. Set controls at: Soil Level-Heavy; Wash temp - Warm; Main dial - Bulky Sheets; Extra Rinse - ON; Fabric Softner - OFF. Can now load full tub of clothes and more detergent if desired. Press start button and water covers it entirely. It works so well now, that I went from I hate it to I love it. Been going for two perfect months with no issues. Weird but true. Hope this helps you.

Our washing machine is 3 years old. About a year ago we started to see hairline cracks on the plastic lid in the bottom corners by the hinges. These have now become huge and pieces of plastic are breaking off every time we do a load of laundry. Maytag (under the Whirlpool brand) will not replace the lid for us. We paid $130 for a tech to come out and confirm what we already knew - that we need a new lid. And now the parts and labor will cost over $550. We have called customer service several times and spoken to a supervisor and the best they can offer us is to pay for the part which still leaves us to pay over $400 out of pocket to repair a $600 washing machine. This seems to be a common problem and is all over Google, yet Maytag is not willing to help their customers.

I spoke with Mike today at the customer service department at Maytag to see if Maytag would pay for the parts to repair my 04/2010 Maytag front load washer (model MHWE450WW00). The bearing assembly needs to be replaced. So, that means the tub and basket need to be replaced too. The original cost in 04/2010 was $1,088 plus tax. The cost to repair is $1,048. Maytag will do nothing since it was purchased over 12 months ago. I cant believe I just threw almost $1100 away on a washer. Obviously, there is something wrong when an appliance doesnt work after 1.5 years.

Bought this Bravo washer from a Sears Outlet Store. Had trouble the first 2 weeks and did all the troubleshooting to no avail. Just when I was ready to return it to the store I decided to try one more thing. The guys who hooked it up had reversed the water hoses - cold was hooked up to the hot intake, and hot water was hooked up to the cold intake. Took all of 5 minutes to switch the hoses to the correct intake and the machine works like a charm. MAKE SURE THE WATER IS HOOKED UP CORRECTLY.

I purchased this Maytag Bravos machine because I was told it can wash large loads and is one of the best washers out there... Both are so far from the truth, this is the worst machine I have ever owned. The water level is almost none. And my clothes come out dirty and I have to wash several times to even get them semi cleaned. I am not rich and trying to save enough. To buy this machine was not easy and I am now with no options. I called Lowes after a couple day after I got the machine and told them it is not working. They sent me another machine yet it still does not clean my clothes. I wanted to return it and get a better machine but they refuse to allow me to do so because now it is 2 months old and past the 30 day return. I purchased an extended warranty which is useless cause. The machine is junk even when working as it should... I will never buy from Maytag again because they refuse to back their crappy product and refund my money. I would tell anyone looking for a washer to not go with Maytag. They are terrible machines and a bad design... I even contacted Maytag and was pretty much told too bad and just rewash my clothes as many times I need but they will not do anything to resolve this issue. TOO bad is what I was told...

Ive read a few reviews and would have to agree. This is the worse washer I have ever purchased. I agree clothes go in dirty and come out dirty. I have to hand wash clothes to get them clean and wont even mention how long it takes a white t shirt to start looking like it was placed in mud vs being placed in a washer. Called Maytag and they said I was loading it wrong even though I was loading it as suggested by the manual. Then they suggested it needed service. I think not after reading these reviews.The irony is that I had called for service on a front loader due to prolonged washing cycles, the repairman was as useful as this MayTag washer. Come to find out I replaced a perfectly functioning washer, intake screen on cold water needed to be cleaned, for this piece of useless metal. I guess since reading that Maytag doesnt value its customers by offering some type of consideration I will replace this piece of crap. Please dont buy the Bravo series. You will be sorry and you will never have whites white again.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos upon recommendations from Lowes and Home Depot to replace a 20-year Kenmore that finally died. Since the Maytag brand was always considered to be the top of the line washers, we purchased the pair. About a week ago during the spin cycle I thought that a 747 was taking off in our laundry room. Called a local appliance repair service who said that there had been numerous issues with the Bravos series and to call Maytag to inquire about a recall. After 45 minutes on the phone with a very sweet naive young lady, she told me that the new models did indeed have a 10-year limited warranty on parts. However my 3-1/2 year old washer was not grandfathered into the warranty. I could (a) pay the $150 service charge to have someone come to inspect it or (b) buy a new one. I will be purchasing a new one but it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool product. Now we know why the commercial for the Maytag repairman is not running... Hes now very busy working on their broken products.

I bought this machine about a year ago. It does not wash your clothes good. Stains nor smell does not come out. It makes this god awful noise that can be heard throughout the house... It suppose to save on your water and electric bill but no savings for me considering I have to wash items 2 or 3 times... I hate this washer and I paid a lot of money for nothing coz that’s what it does - nothing!!!

Purchased a Maytag Atlantis washer at Lowes in 2004. Until recently it worked without any problems; however, the agitator never seemed to work quite right. Normally, an agitator rotates in such a way that the auger action of the vanes pulls the clothes in toward the middle and then down into the water such that you have a continuous cycle of clothing being pulled down the middle, agitated at the bottom, then pushed up the outside. This one agitated but the clothing would just go round and round in the tub. Everything managed to get clean enough, but clearly something was amiss. Recently, the spin cycle became loud. A rumble became a loud roar over the course of a few cycles. Then I noticed water on the floor coming from under the washer. The short story is that the center shaft seals had just worn out. After almost 12 years of use, thats not surprising. Whats surprising is that it had worked so long without any issues other than the agitator.I took it apart and, to my dismay, the water had gotten into everything so that some of the metal parts were hard to remove. After having determined what replacement parts were necessary, I ordered them, but then placed additional orders for parts that probably would wear out eventually. So I ended up doing a near-complete rebuild. Other than the difficulty of taking some of the parts apart, and removing/installing the tub springs, it was actually pretty easy. I have reassembled, and now it seems to work flawlessly... so far. About the agitator: I found that shims are used on the transmission shaft to adjust tension. Too much tension and the clothes just ride around the tub; like mine did. Too little tension probably results in the thing not agitating at all (I dont really know). Once the washer is apart its easy to set the tension (insert the shim washers) correctly.There is a clip that holds the shim washers in place on the shaft. It was really tight; somewhat difficult to remove. One of the shims wouldnt fit when I tried to reassemble. As it turned out, that was a good thing. My research on this model revealed the way to get the proper tension. My assessment is that whoever assembled this washer at Maytag (or whoever builds these) assembled it incorrectly! Another thing I found out - after I ordered/received parts, unfortunately - is that there are two types of tub/shaft seal sets for this washer. I ended up replacing the newer type seals with the older type. Everything fits, but I may be losing out on a newer, better design. Well see. Overall, I am very pleased and impressed with the longevity and reliability of the MAV9501EWW washer. I have had Kenmore and Whirlpool; neither of which was nearly as durable and reliable. I hope this is helpful to someone.

Bought this (Maytag Washer MVWB955FC1) on 1/8/18, was delivered late in January as it was on back-order. On 4/30/18, during a cycle, the washer made a pop sound. There was glass everywhere. The glass had shattered and exploded onto the floor and washer. The glass is on the inside of the drum and all over the clothes. Contacted Maytag and they sent out a repairman the next day. Repair said there is a point of impact indicated I dropped something on it. NOTHING was dropped on it. There is a point of impact, from the inside. The glass is pushed up and out indicating pressure from INSIDE the washer.Repairman says its not covered under warranty and that I had to pay for his time as well. He also said there are no known issues with this lid and washer. The lid is out of stock and wont be available for a while. I called Maytag and they gave me the same response, never heard of this.. and lid is out of stock. I found SEVERAL reviews/complaints in which, for the exact same model, this has happened to other people. This glass lid is dangerous and poses a serious safety risk to households that contain it. If they replace the lid, there is no guarantee this will not happen again. A child could walk by the washer and at any moment the glass lid could explode, send tiny shards of glass everywhere. I want a refund for this dangerous washer.

I purchased this on sale at Home Depot, 1 year later this washer top load doesnt clean clothes if the cycle does finish at all. I have to restart the cycle, re-rinse etc, theyre still dirty. I dont have time for that, I have four children and my husband works in construction and comes home with filthy clothes that are just wet and dirty when they come out of this washer. I dont usually write reviews but I hope I can save someone else the hassle. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand, they all complain of the same thing. This washer altogether is BAD! ITS LOUD, it bangs around if I dont put in the tiniest loads, even then, they come out dirty. Dont waste your time.

Because it is the high efficiency model, need to leave the lid open so interior will dry and not smell musty. Also, recommend using a washer cleaner such as Affresh or Tide tablet every now and then. But works great!

18 months old washer breakdown #6 - I purchased a new out of the box washer from Aarons model #MVWC7ESWWO and since Ive owned it, it has broken down repeatedly with the same problem - a water inlet valve. As a child seeing the commercial with the repairman with nothing to fix played a part in my purchase, I couldnt be more unhappy. With a family of five, there is laundry and not having a reliable washer does present a problem. I sent you this while waiting for the part to arrive from Sears. Sincerely, an unsatisfied customer.

I had a Maytag washing machine replaced under warranty back in 2011 via Maytags Extended Service Plan. This took me several months to get done because of back and forth issues with Maytag not wanting to honor the replacement. Executive Support had to get involved after I wrote a complaint on this site. When they replaced this, they sent me forms to extend my warranty, which I did. They never changed the model or serial number so Ive been paying for 2 years now for an extended warranty on a machine I do not own.The new washer broke and I called in for service on 11/18/13. Active Appliance was sent out, said it was an easy fix but they needed to order a part. On 11/20/13 they contacted me to tell me I needed to speak to Maytag because my Model/Serial didnt match with my warranty records. I double-checked these and called Maytag Extended Service and was told that I would need to speak to sales at 866-730-6094. I spoke to someone named Lindsey there who told me that I would need to send a letter in to cancel my policy and request a refund for the 2 years Id been paying for a non-existent unit and that they could start a new policy for me and get a service order in without issue. My call was disconnected during this and when I called back, I was told to call back in the morning to get back to Lindsey because the office was closing and they couldnt do callbacks.I called back on 11/21/13 and spoke to Sam who verified that the letter was needed to cancel and refund but that I would have to pay for the repair to the washer myself and theyd tack on the cost of the new warranty onto that bill so Id be covered AFTER THE FACT. Because the unit wasnt covered under warranty, Id have to cover the costs myself and it had been MY responsibility, not theirs, to make sure that the correct model/serial was on the coverage.Maytag sent me the forms and I would expect them to have added the new information on it...not send me forms with my original washing machine information. Especially as this had been escalated to Executive Support and the person I dealt with there had gone over everything to make sure it all got handled in a satisfactory matter. So for now, Im waiting for a callback from the original rep, Lindsey, but Maytag tends to Stonewall and not return calls so Im dreading how long this entire process is going to take and cost.

First I do like the fact that it spins at such a high speed that the water is mostly gone, and that is the good news. I do like that it uses less water but when washing any dark colored clothes there are dirt or scum like marks where the clothes may have been folded or twisted in knots which I also do not like. I have cleaned machine but this started when new. Drying doesnt get rid of those scum marks either. I never had this problem with my old full fill machine. I have used more detergent and less HE of course in both liquid and powder. Any suggestions?

Do not recommend any top loader. The washer dont wash at all. My clothes just sits there floating in the water on deep fill. I have some white with metallic like marks. Ive have soap left in my clothes. I watched one load of clothes. It had a neon shirt, the shirt stayed on top with the bubbles, it just floated along around in circles. The service was crap too. I called about the metallic markings. They said it was normal and should go away after 15 - 20 loads. I cant afford to replace my clothes.

This washer does not distribute enough water to wash clothes properly. I continually take clothes out of washer that are not completely wet. My darker clothes have white spots of detergent on them that did not get rinsed off. This product should be pulled from the stores. We have tried everything, using deep water wash, bedding wash, to get more water in the machine. Our clothes are not coming out clean. Complete waste of our money!

I, too, am having major problems with my Maytag Neptune washer, much like many of the writers are. I am extremely disappointed in the Maytag corporation for putting out such an inferior product that it wont stand by. I wonder if a new class action suit could be filed.

I purchased this Maytag Bravos Xl Top Loading Washing Machine approximately 2 1/2 years ago. It broke down shortly after the 1 year warranty was up and cost me $300.00 to fix. A bearing had broke and needed a service call to repair it. Well, I paid about $800.00 to begin with, so decided to fix it. Today it started draining water from bottom of it. I call Maytag and after a 20 minute wait on the phone because they were having higher than normal call volumes! They cannot help me, other than to charge me for yet another service call and perhaps a repair. Whirlpool/Maytag makes a high priced money pit of a washing machine! Dont waste your money!

My wife and I bought a Maytag Bravos at the suggestion of a store employee at Lowes. Since we have owned it, I have seen the reviews and the washer has been a total let down. We have experienced all the same complaints. Loud noise, door lock not working, not enough water in the drum to wash clothes, and the bearings going out and it doesnt work. NEVER will we buy a MAYTAG again. To the scrap yard I go today. Thanks MAYTAG for wasting my money. Thanks LOWES for recommending this garbage.

First of all, Whirlpool owns the Maytag brand. Ive seen a few reviewers on here say I will never buy Maytag! Im buying Whirlpool from now on! I picture the executives smiling and nodding, Good. Maytag used to be great - machines lasted 20 years or more. Now they last about three. After one year, the paint on the washer was bubbling and coming off, and now its starting to rust. The warranty doesnt cover cosmetic defects beyond 30 days, and the warranty for the rest of the machine is only one year. Theres a reason for that - the machine will undoubtedly have problems after that. Multiple calls to Maytag/Whirlpool and they do not care. Terrible product, terrible customer service. I tell everyone I know never to buy Maytag or Whirlpool.

The HE version of Maytag washer leaves the clothes smelling bad. There are suggestions to remedy this, but why do these type washers cause this? The suggestions dont work. No more HE washers of any brand.

We purchased this product from Lowe’s in 2009. We liked it for the first 6 months. Then it started putting holes in our clothes, the washer smells bad, coins get stuck, and make noise. Something needs to be done because there are thousands of upset consumers out there, all with the same complaints and Maytag does nothing. It’s not Lowe’s fault. They didnt make the washer. Purchased an Admiral Washer on 07/19/2010 from Home Depot in May of 2011 was washing clothes and washer flooded my wash room. Cold water would not turn off. Had to use shutoff valve on wall. Called for service through Maytags toll free number it took me 10 days to get through, then I was told that they did not have anyone in my area that could fix my washer that was still under warranty and there was nothing they could do. I called Home Depot and they said there was nothing they could do it was the manufactor problem.I Called several appliance repair places that advertise as maytag repair and they would not touch it!Called back in July of 2011 could not reach anyone at maytag service. My warranty expired 07/19/2011,yesterday 08/08/2011 I recieved a letter from Maytag wanting me to buy an extended warranty.I called an ask them why I should buy an extended warranty when they wouldnt even honor the original warranty they pulled up the records where I had called for service and told me I should have kept calling back that they take care of their customers etc. etc. but there was nothing they could do now because the washer was out of warranty.I called about a new water valve for this washer $56 for part $100 for labor including service call. Now I faced with a decision try to repair this piece of junk or scrap it a buy a new washer( not a Maytag or a Whirlpool) I am not rich I am elderly and live on a fixed income, it took me 6 months to pay off this washer at Home Depot!!!!!

February 2011, I purchased a washer from Lowes and started having problems with the washer leaking and skipping cycles on the first week. Lowes exchanged the washer end of first week. The new washer started with not adding water in wash cycles. The repairmen sent by Maytag could not find any problem with the washer. The washer worked off and on for months with problems. Cycles with bleach added worked fine, but 3 or 4 loads later with no bleach having been added, it would produce bleach-stained clothes. The repairman came out again and could find the cause for skipping cycles, but suggested I run clean cycle every time I use bleach. It defeats the purpose of purchasing an HE water-efficient washer.The third repairman sat and watched the unit run a load and then he said I know what is wrong. He took the washer control panel apart and found the wire harness was not properly connected from tub to control panel. I have not found what causes bleach stains 3 loads after the bleach was put in the washer. I will not recommend this unit to anyone because of manufacturing problems with harness assembly.

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

Dark clothes are left with residue on them, have to run another rinse cycle to get them clean. Been having this problem since we first got the machine. Anyone else having this problem or got a solution to fix it?

Maytag Bravo model MVWB750WQO. Bought this washer in 2009 for 1300 thinking it would last at least 10 years! Wrong! I loved it until a few months ago when it started making VERY LOUD noises during final spins. Sounded like the house was going to take off. Then today it started leaking water. Repairman said it needed a drum, seal and gasket. Would have cost 700-800 to fix. Needless to say we bought a new washer today, and it wasnt a Maytag!! For that much money I was expecting the washer to last a long time!

All of my brand new white wash cloths have black stains on them. They look like mechanics use them to check the oil. And, my white denim capri pants have weird stains on them. This washing machine is a joke. It may be water efficient, but sacrifices cleanliness and stain removal. Maytag should recall this ** Queen.
