I have a Maytag Bravos washer bought 6 years ago. Recently, it started giving trouble by stopping at spin stage. I contacted a local service company and they immediately told me even without looking at machine, that it is a control board problem and will cost a lot to repair and suggested to buy some other company washer instead of repairing. They told it is the third similar complaint this week. But I contacted Maytag and they suggested their factory authorized technician who could not correctly locate the problem but charged for the visit. Later he also came to the same conclusion. Thus my previous washer from another company lasted for more than 20 years (Still in working condition), this washer required a service with a cost same as its price!!!

Maytag Dishwashers work great. It cleans well and appearance is very good. I have always trusted Maytag appliances. Its quiet running and also energy saver. If I had to replace I would stay with Maytag.

We had a three-year warranty which expired. We used a repair once for a rusting Clorox basin. Now, the tub swings wildly on every wash and will not complete because we get the UL warning. Weve tried making sure the washer was balanced but confirming that nothing helped. Most expensive washing machine ever and shortest life apparently.

We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. Clothes come out of washing machine smelling bad and you could see the soap scum on darker clothing. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos MCT HE washer in 2011. Its about 3 1/2 years old and there was a very loud noise when the washer went into the spin cycle. Called the repair man and they told me the bearing and spin basket needed replaced. I had always had Kenmores with very little issues and they lasted for 12 years plus each. I get the HE model from Maytag and cant even go 3 1/2 years without some major issue. I called Maytag (Whirlpool) to complain and they said there wasnt anything they could do. I reminded them that I had checked for recalls on this model and looked into some of the complaints about this washer and that there were many of the same issues that I had plus many others. I felt like there should have been a recall on the bearing since they are going out too soon for this kind of a washer. I guess the Maytag repair man is now busier than ever since I dont see them on any advertisements anymore. Well, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again after this.

Bravo Large Capacity Washer with Optimal Dispensers - 4.3 Cu. Ft. - The washers shortest cycles take at least an hour (not including having to do another spin/drain) and uses such little water that I have to use the extra rinse cycle on most loads. The washing machine is VERY hard on the clothes; towels (which I feel are pretty hardy) have been destroyed. Today the machine stopped draining/spinning completely and smelled like it was burning. I called the warranty number and was told it would be a week until someone could come out. When I tried to escalate a sooner repair date the manager Jessie refused to assist in any way insisting there was nothing he could do. I spent the morning calling my local repair shops and was able to find a Maytag warranty repair person to come out the same day, but had to call the warranty number again and have Maytag place the request. Sorry for the long post, but this washer is the WORST purchase I have made. The warranty experience was very unimpressive. I will not be purchasing anything from Maytag/Whirlpool/Jennair ever again.

Thankfully, Home Depot replaced the washer when Maytag wouldnt authorize a replacement after I had it for 3 days. Maytag wanted me to order a part, wait for the part, and then schedule their third party service contractor. It’s been about 2 weeks without a washer. Ive been posting about my experience and received an email from Maytag asking me to post feedback on their site, but it was rejected. Their note to me was “Our publication guidelines do not permit content that references a service policy, customer service interaction, or customer service question.” In other words, theyre not at all interested in customer service. Maytag/Whirlpool is no longer the brand to look for.

Water ran out of washer and flooded my garage. 1) Replace computer. 2) Wrong computer. 3) Water still flooding garage. 4) May need water valve. 5) Showed up didnt know what to do, then left. 6) Whole new tub - 3 hour repair - 2 weeks until they have time to repair. Still waiting. HELP.

This has been the worst washing machine I have ever owned!!! Purchased 3 years ago and this is the 3rd time the bearings dont work again. It make loud clanking noises. Then fails to spin at all. The first time it broke was the 1st year we owned it. It is sitting in our hallway and I can hardly wait for it to leave my house. Talked to the local appliance dealer and they never recommends these washers. I told dealer I must have gotten a lemon. He replied that it wasnt a lemon, that the machine tubs have gotten so much bigger and they have needed to upgrade the bearing system and are unwilling to do it. Dealer has highly recommended the Speed Queen. Based on the stellar reviews that is what will be coming to our house today. I can hardly wait. I know, its just a washing machine but frustration has overcome me. The Speed Queen has no plastic parts. We went with the knob style as opposed to the electronic push buttons. Less to go wrong. The warranty on the Speed Queen is top of the line, 5-year parts and labor. The salesperson didnt even try to sell me a warranty. No need to. Speed Queen stands by their product. I only recommend the Maytag Bravo XL if you dont have enough stress in your life.

We are extremely frustrated with this machine. It takes an extremely long time to go through the cycle, compared to past washing machines, even when it is working. It rarely completes the cycle and often goes back to wash and stops. We have no way of knowing if it washed or rinsed or what. To get it to finish, we have to turn the dial to drain and spin. The clothes always come out tightly twisted and tangled up and have to be untwisted and items pulled from each other....so they are extremely wrinkled! This is the first and last Maytag product we will ever buy. We HATE it!!! I would say it has been a lemon from day one but Home Hardware was no help when we complained. We tell everyone to stay away from this product.

This is Maytag model: MVWB765FWO-Top loader. HE rated. It handles mixed loads without balance issues but I cannot yet address reliability. The new machine averages 7+ loads weekly and is in the 8th week of use. The overall performance is clearly superior to the Kenmore Elite it replaced.

Purchased washer less than 2 years ago. Loud noise like a jet engine or helicopter in spin cycle. Did not purchase the extended warranty. Called Whirlpool/ Maytag customer service. Was told I could have one of their repair people come out. I would have to pay $300 which would give me the repair and extended 1 yr warranty, or I could get $300 off toward a purchase of a new washer. Are you kidding me? This washer wasnt even 2 yr old and making this horrid noise in the spin cycle. I had to have a independent repairman for Maytag washers come out to tell me it wash the bearing and would cost 3 to 4 hundred dollars to fix it. I said no thanks and after his $90 service call am stuck listening to this piece of junk make noise till it completely breaks. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again or recommend one. Whirlpool you sell nothing but junk.

I Hate this machine. It does an inferior job and I wish I never bought it. Our Bravos XL washer was purchased in spring. It left white residue constantly on my clothes. Even WORSE, the machine wrinkled the permanent press so the clothes had to be ironed before wearing. (I rarely had this with my last washer). I used the machine settings correctly and I called the company and basically...was told, Youre out of luck. I hoped that it would improve but No Way! Dont purchase this machine, dont waste your $$$.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet 300 about 8 months ago and it will not clean anything. Not one setting will make this machine clean. You have to wash everything 2 to 3 times. There is no savings of any kind with this machine and I dont know anyone who has the time to wash everything multiple times. Its all about the water; its about as much as you can spit. I ran a hose from the faucet and added 8 gallons about 10 minutes into the wash cycle and was able to clean (float) a set of sheets. I find this energy star machine to be worthless and I would have been better buying an old machine at a garage sale than this Bravos machine. Junk. If you cant float your cloths folks, you might as well be rubbing them on a rock.

I absolutely do not like the fact that you can’t choose what size load you have. The washer wants to do it for you but it is not very good at it. You have to fool the washer to get any kind of water level or just use the deep fill every time which is what I do in order to get the clothes clean! This defeats the whole purpose of trying to save water. Also there are too many settings. I mean we’re just washing clothes here not flying a jet. I personally would prefer dials instead of the digital instrument panel. So much easier.

Maytag washer was bought May 2010 with an extended warranty, which expired May 2014. This machine was used by two people with average wash loads. Five months later the machine computer programming didnt work and the machine sounded like a jet taking off. Whirlpool said a one-year warranty would cost $329! This would have been less expensive than a new machine, but I felt I couldnt trust having it repaired. A repairman very familiar with Maytag products said he had three service calls the same day with similar complaints for the Bravos 300 series. He told me the bearings were bad and the cost to fix was not worth the money and this machine should have been recalled. I bought another brand and will not buy Maytag again. When my new machine was delivered, there was grease on the floor from the Maytag.

The control (computer) stopped working. The Maytag Centennial washer would not turn off. I had to unplug it from the electrical outlet to get it to stop. The repairman had to replace the computer panel. He said it had burned up. I bought this machine from Lowes on January 11, 2011. It lasted 15 months and cost me $265 to get it repaired. I called Lowes and because I did not buy the extended warranty, they would not even talk to me. When I pay about $500 for a washing machine, I expect it to last longer than 15 months! I will never buy another Maytag appliance! Customers beware: these products are a bunch of junk. Even the repairman told me so.

I have never been so disappointed in purchasing an appliance for my home. The Maytag Bravo XL large capacity top loader, has never worked properly, and I have many ruined pieces of clothing. Although it has a very large capacity, the water barely fills to a 1/4, and clothes are sticking out of the water, while they are supposed to be submerged/being washed IN the water. Clothes come out of the washer smelling foul. WORST WASHING MACHINE EVER.

Purchased Maytag Washing Machine from Lowes in Alexandria Louisiana on January 12, 2021. Today is April 16, 2021 and it will no longer wash clothes and has horrible burnt smell coming from it when on wash cycle!!! Tried contacting Maytag Service but was kept on hold for almost 1 hour. I setup a service tech using the Maytag Service online and supposedly a technician will be here on Monday April 19, 2021....of which I seriously doubt will even show up based on some other reviews.Maytag as well as Lowes are SCAMMING people out of hard earned money by selling such garbage!! If LOWES or Maytag really cared about its customers it would see these Negative Reviews and do something about it. Lowes continues to sell this garbage which is why I am blaming them as well! DO NOT DEAL WITH LOWES OR MAYTAG PRODUCTS - YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

I dont know where to start. This machine (Bravo XL Top Load Washer) is ridiculous! When I finally figured out how to start it, it did not rinse or spin clothes. I cannot figure out how to get it to do that so Im stuck with a washer full of wet clothes. To add insult to injury, I cannot reach into the washer to retrieve them. I am 52 and all washers are designed by freakishly tall people with NO REGARD FOR WOMEN apparently! Poorly designed! Poorly engineered! What a piece of junk!

Our front load washer is two weeks past the one year warranty and need $650 in repairs! I will never purchase a Maytag product again. My last Maytag was 19 years old when we got this new front loader for energy efficiency. You dont save money when you have to replace it after one year.

Absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. I have read some of the other reviews, wish I was smarter and checked this out before spending my hard earned money to buy this washer. My washer also is rusting at the top where the bleach goes. I never close the lid when not in use my basement is dry AND I never use bleach??? My clothes come out they are a tangled up mess. When I go to hang them they are partly dry. It isnt as though I stuff the washer NEVER put more than 8 shirts in at a time yet they all come out with dry streaks like that part of the clothing never even got wet. We all know what happens when you leave a tissue in your pocket and it goes through the washer... Well not with this washer the tissue sometimes came out as dry as it went in. HORRIBLE product. I want the old agitator/I SET THE WATER LEVEL type back. It takes forever to get laundry done. They should take these OFF the market and give us poor consumers some cash back.

I cant warn you enough NOT to buy this design flawed machine. Ive only owned mine two months from Home Depot, the install was a nightmare and now due to a poor design flaw, if you miss loose coins or anything in pockets it will get trapped between the drum and the tub causing rattling and noise during spin cycle. Guess what? Service calls EACH time this happens. This is nothing more than a $750 piece of junk. I feel like its marring the whole feel of my new house. I hate hate hate this washer and am trying to get Home Depot to take it back, Maytag to refund me or sell it at a huge loss. Maytag MVWC300BW clothes washer makes holes in heavy duty T shirts & sheets. It stretches clothing. We are following directions in loading without success. We are washing everything on the gentle cycle twice to get the clothes clean without destroying them. Today we were stood up for our third service call.

Have had Maytag HE washer for 4yrs, so far it has broke down three times. I contacted Maytag and they asked if I had bought extended service contract? No I paid $700.00 for this washer and had expected it to work a little longer than 2yrs before seal in door is cracked. Would NEVER buy another HE or Maytag product again!

I recently bought a home that had a Maytag Neptune set. While they were newer than mine, I sold my Kenmore set, dirt cheap. Last night when I opened the washer door to take the load out, smoke billowed out. Im sick about this. There should be a recall on these washers!

I have owned a Maytag washer since 1989 (25 years) that has had absolutely NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. It now has a slight leak, so I am considering replacing it. I contacted an appliance store and advised them of my problem. The salesman made a comment which indeed surprised me. He said that, although he would like to make a sale, I should do everything in my power to keep that old Maytag machine because they dont make them like that any more! From reading the reviews about the new Maytag now I understand why! I do not plan on buying another Maytag, which really saddens me, as they were once a high quality, dependable product.

Bought this because of the load capacity and it seemed like it would be a good purchase to help save on water. But worst mistake ever. The water level barely touches the clothes on top. It barely has any water whatsoever. All my dark colored clothes come out with residue. It’s disgusting and cleaning with Affresh does no good either. Very disappointed with the company.

We have had this washer for 1 year. I noticed right away my clothes would come out extremely wrinkled. Now not only are they wrinkled, they also smell musty. After researching I find others have the same issue, even finding a video of horrible mold under the drum. We called to have it serviced since we have a 5-year warranty. The service man recommended using Afresh. WELL, we do faithfully every month. He said they would not pay to have it cleaned, and even if he cleaned it, that the mold would come back. This to me is a major design flaw, one that could potentially make people sick. IF there is that much mold growing in the machine, with no way of cleaning it, and now the clothes are smelling, there is a HUGE issue!

I purchased the subject Maytag washer (MHWE201YW-3.5 CU FT WHT FRNT LD WSHR) from Home Depot in December of 2012. I got exactly 1 year of use and then the washer stopped working. I called the Home Depot repair person who came and repaired the unit. The repair lasted two weeks and the washer stopped working again. Because the unit was no longer under its 1-yr warranty the Home Depot repair person was not available for repair. Another independent Maytag repair person came and evaluated to problem. He said the computer which is located on the motor was no good and to the tune of over $400.00 (parts and labor) a new motor was purchased and installed. It lasted two months and it quit working again. After several months I was finally able to contact the original Home Depot repair person for one visit. He said he would check the code message and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I have been taking my laundry to the laundromat ever since and it is getting expensive. I dont want to spend another $400 on this machine as it will only break again. What do you recommend?

The worst wash machine Ive ever used. It doesnt clean clothes well. It constantly had error codes. Im constantly having to unplug and reset the machine and 4 times out of five it will NOT restart. Not to mention it stinks worse than my sewer. I have to run the refresh cycle every four to eight loads. Ive owned this machine three years. And it has been three years too long. I will go back to a ringer washer or a wash board and have better results.

I spent over $600 dollars on a Maytag Bravo 300 series. The washer has cost me over $300 to fix the latch and 2 months later, it will not spin. I would recommend to anyone not to buy a Maytag product! Garbage! I had a standard Kenmore washer that lasted over 10 years without a problem, paid $300 and still sold it for $100. The funny part is that I sold it to my brother who still uses it regularly and has not had any problems. So what is money worth? Your call.

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT WASH ANY SIZE COMFORTER!!!After reading all these reviews, seeing how Im NOT the only one who is going through all these problems with this machine, I refuse to call any repair company! I wont spend another penny on this monster!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG ANYTHING AGAIN!!! Reason for this review... So anyone who is considering buying a Bravos X washer, think again. I have had the Maytag Bravos washer since November 2010. This washer does not clean clothes. They are never even submerged in water. Had I known this, I would never have purchased it. The salesman at Sears surely didnt mention it. I remember being disappointed at the fact that there wasnt a washer in the place with an agitator. I am disgusted with the washer and the company. I realized that it has been over 12 months since we purchased it, but most people do not feel the need to investigate what is going on under the lid of their washer. I unfortunately assumed that the washer was going to wash! Silly me. No, it does a little spin spin and a little spritz of water (literally, thats it) and at the end, you are left with funk concentrated in the creases of your twisted up, stinky clothes. No agitator plus no water equals no clean! The smell is awful. Someone else described it best - a mildewy basement.Anyone else who is claiming that their clothes do not stink with this machine are surely being deceived by strong perfumes in their detergent and fabric softener. To get a true idea of what their clothes really smell like, they should wash a few times with a scoop of borax and no fabric softener. Then tell us how they smell. I am convinced that the entire line of HE washers is a sophisticated line of crap! They use such small amounts of detergent because that little bit of water going into it will not get any more soap out, much less sweat, dirt and lots of other nasty stuff. This may not be a big deal to other people, but it is huge to me. We have a small homestead. Our clothes get dirty. We spent several hundred dollars of hard earned money on a name we trusted and they do not care.Every load, every day, I am reminded of this fact and it infuriates me. Im not typically one to write in complaints, but as an American citizen where there is a free market (somewhat), I have an obligation. If a product is really good, the makers deserve my praise. Likewise, if the product is really bad, the makers (and refuses to compensate in any way) deserve my complaint, as do my hardworking fellow Americans shopping around for a new washer. Stay away from Maytag and if at all possible, stay away from HE machines. It is so true that they dont make them like they used to.PS: Maytag tried to blame this issue on government regulation when I called. Im sick of this passing the buck. I am fully aware of the chokehold government regulations have on business, but they only hurt small business. To act as if this is not a partnership between the government and big business (like Maytag) only adds insult to injury. Take a look at the money spent lobbying by this company. Disgusting. The good news is, any success they currently enjoy will not last.

I owned a Maytag Bravos top loading washer for 8 years, and I loved it. It caught on fire while washing a load. Thank God I was home or it could have burned my house down. Just wanted to post this somewhere to issue a warning.

The washer does not get the laundry clean. It never has. I use only HE soap. I have changed soaps several times and still no change. I have been very disappointed with it. Maytag has been advertised as a good washer but the Bravos is not.

I purchased a new Maytag top loader at Home Depot. They delivered and set up. From the first load, I have had problems with the washer stopping and jerking. Clothing becomes a tangled mess. I contacted Maytag, they suggested I make sure I put on proper setting for the items within the washer. I do not know how one can fail at putting sheets in the washer and putting the setting on sheets and they are so twisted you have to spend time pulling them apart. This happens to almost everything I wash. I believe that I have a lemon, still under warranty, Maytag believes I should pay for a house call. Home Depot will only forward the information to me that Maytag gives to them.

Code F51 showed up and my appliance repair man immediately said, I see this problem with the Maytag Bravos all the time. Its a control board and motor problem. He gave me a number to call to see if I could receive help through Maytag (Whirlpool), because its a major fix. He also thought that there might be a recall by now since there have been so many problems, but no. The Maytag customer rep was of no help. So disappointed in Maytag and the Bravos Washer. I will never buy another Maytag again!

I purchased a Maytag model 4000 Front Loading washer in April 2010 and in May 2011, the tub bearings went out which is a $600 repair. Now in January of 2012, the tub bearings are going out again. Neither Lowes nor Maytag are willing to do anything to remedy the situation. Do not buy Maytag and do not buy from Lowes. Their major appliance buyer has to know about this and continues to retail a product not fit for its intended purpose.

Disappointing that a Maytag would be a problem machine. Constantly out of balance when spinning and mediocre cleaning. Now it is spitting oil underneath. Am on my way to buy new machine with agitator.

Replaced my leaking Samsung washer with a Maytag and I really regret the switch. What a piece of garbage. It has been service twice (thankfully within the first warranty year) due to Main control board failure. Seriously, these washers are good for nothing. Also, the Sanitize cycle doesnt do a good job from day one. Save your hard earned money and buy something else.

DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS you want dirty clothes that smell.... Water level not correct, binding laundry together and replaced the same parts with cheap parts over and over... just wanted clean clothes in a no frills washer. NOT with this washer. Purchased a Maytag top loader. Hand wash clothes leaves a soap residue on clothes. Called Maytag they sent service out. Service tech said (off the record) the design of the machine does not produce enough water, but reported that machine works. Called Maytag again and they said they would need to send out a Master technician. So I set up another appointment (had to take more time off from work) with the Master technician. It was the same guy that came the week before! He didnt bother coming in to look at it! Called Maytag again and they said they would only be able to schedule a service call and if they come out and there is nothing wrong with machine, I would have to pay for the service call!!! I asked for a supervisor and explained why would I do that and he said they would send out another service technician from another service company and I wouldnt have to pay for it. He also offered me an extended warranty for a year for free. Thats great, but my machine is not fixed. This service technician said (off the record too) top loader machines are no good, do not buy, not enough water. He was there less than 5 minutes. Just got off phone with Maytag again and they can no longer do anything else, that the machine is working. I explained to the gentleman that yes the machine fills with a little bit of water and drains the water but it does NOT clean the items! Not going to let this happen to someone else. Plan on spreading the word to everyone to NOT BUY A MAYTAG TOP LOAD WASHING MACHINE. DOES NOT CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES. CONSTANT RESIDUE LEFT ON CLOTHES!

Sears washing machine model # mvwx500xwo - This machine is the worst. My mother who is 87 years old smells like mold every day due to the smell that comes from this machine. Im not sure whats going on but the plumber told us there is something very wrong with this machine. Its not the hot or cold water that smells, its the machine. I am now concerned about my mothers health. Please advise if you will allow us to purchase another machine with some kind of a credit due to the serious issue this machine has.

February 2011, I purchased a washer from Lowes and started having problems with the washer leaking and skipping cycles on the first week. Lowes exchanged the washer end of first week. The new washer started with not adding water in wash cycles. The repairmen sent by Maytag could not find any problem with the washer. The washer worked off and on for months with problems. Cycles with bleach added worked fine, but 3 or 4 loads later with no bleach having been added, it would produce bleach-stained clothes. The repairman came out again and could find the cause for skipping cycles, but suggested I run clean cycle every time I use bleach. It defeats the purpose of purchasing an HE water-efficient washer.The third repairman sat and watched the unit run a load and then he said I know what is wrong. He took the washer control panel apart and found the wire harness was not properly connected from tub to control panel. I have not found what causes bleach stains 3 loads after the bleach was put in the washer. I will not recommend this unit to anyone because of manufacturing problems with harness assembly.

In October 2016 I purchased a New Maytag washer (Model# MVWC565FWO) from LOWES. I bought an extended 5 year warranty with it as well. I have my invalid, totally incapacitated Sister living with me. The situation requires several loads of washing each day due to her conditions. TWO WEEKS after starting to use it we began having issues with the washer. It would stop in the cycle, lights flashing, only way to restart is to unplug it, move control from wash cycles setting to drain and spin... then within the next 3-4 loads it would do it again. Sometimes it sat for awhile I would smell like an electronics Odor getting hot... I called Lowes. They replaced it. Approximately 3 weeks later the NEW washer began doing the SAME THING...Lowes would not replace it with a different Model or brand... only send a repairman out. Long story short, he has been here 4 times, replaced the Computer Control with NO IMPROVEMENT!!! NOW Lowes is sending him out again and saying that if this doesnt fix the problem they will refund my money... My problem with it all is this... IF MAYTAG is having these type issues, WHY PRAY TELL, has a recall or solution been found and passed on to the repair folks??? I bought this Maytag due to #1 Reputation, #2 It was Assembled in the USA, NOT South Korea like the Samsung with recalls... Now all this is going on. I WANT A WASHING MACHINE THAT WORKS RIGHT!!! This is totally unacceptable and totally uncalled for. WHY could these Govt agencies and Manufacturers not LEAVE the washers alone? Computer technology... PLTTT. The old timers controls gave no problem in over 40 years of using them. Now this crap.

I hoped the Maytag Maxima would compare to my old Maytag Neptune and it didnt even come close. Very disappointed. Doesnt fill with enough water to even WET the towels and doesnt rinse any of the soap out of the clothes. Been using it since 12/2015. Hate the Maxima. I looked for the brand (Maytag Neptune) which I couldnt find. Settled on the Maytag Maxima which is a complete bust. The Maxima doesnt fill with enough water so Ive had to add water to both the wash and rinse cycles. It has also become very noisy. The repairman has already stated that there is nothing he can do about the lack of water since the amount of water is set in the factory and cannot be changed. The Maytag Maxima is a complete bust for me! Its a front-loader that has me adding water (at least 2 gallons) to every load no matter how small. Wish Id bought a GE top-loader that Ive seen advertised.

I purchased this Maytag Washer and Dryer back in 2000 and have never been unhappy. It really gets my clothes clean and uses a lot less water than a top loader. The only issue is that if you do not clean it once in a while it will start to smell, but I have a cleaner I use every month and so far (knock on wood) it doesnt smell mildewy.

Just a year after purchase, this Maytag Bravos Washer stopped spinning the clothes. It never washed worth a damn anyway. I paid extra money for a quality product from a known brand name and I was taken to the cleaners. Never buy a Maytag product unless you want to replace it in a year.

I purchased my Bravos (ecoconserve) washing machine in 8/2013 from hhgreg. The problem I have is this grinding noise with the spin cycle. So I unplug the machine because the lock lid light is flashing and wont unlock unless I unplug the machine. I grew up on Maytag so that was the reason I purchased this machine but never again. I am so disappointed in this product. :(

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

I bought this machine a year and a half ago. The entire drum and spin motor need to be replaced. Maytags warranty only lasted 1 year. I bought it at Home Depot, and also purchased the extended 5 year warranty. The extended warranty is as bad as the washing machine. I am now just 2 days shy of 4 weeks of trying to deal with both parties. Ive had to take my laundry in to have it done. The cost of the laundry, the cost of the machine, and the cost of the warranty is more than $200 more than what Home Depots Extended Protection Plan is willing to reimburse/refund. Home Depot does as much as Maytag when it comes to standing behind what they sell. An $800 washing machine only good for 18 months, really???

Maytag has always been my favorite lasts forever no problems at all till something perforated the pump but was fixed promptly. I had my maytag till I moved and left it with my son so I do not have it now but I'd buy another maytag as long as it's not one of those water savers. Do not like those because it doesn't use enough water to rinse out the soap properly like the older original machines. Maytag is strong, durable and worth every penny. If I was buying another washer It would definitely be a maytag. They wash clothes thoroughly. Of all household appliances if have to have a maytag washing machine and my favorite vacuum cleaner. Maytag washing machines are by far a ten next everything else I've tried.

On 12/09/12, I purchased a Maytag washer, model mvwc200xw, from our local Menards store. About 6 months ago, the washer started making a slight banging noise, and would occasionally move in the spin cycle. Now, when washing a small to medium size load, the banging noise is very loud and does a lot of moving. I found nothing in the troubleshooting guide to help me on this, so I looked on-line and found several websites discussing this same problem. They stated that the problem was a snubber assembly and the replacement part would cost $4.55. They also said the washer would have to be taken apart to change out this $4.55 part.I watched a you-tube video of someone changing this part and quickly came to the conclusion that I would need help in doing this. A comment was left in the video from a Maytag repairman saying that the person changing this part was not doing it in a safe manner. The repairman stated that changing it in the way this person described in the video was DANGEROUS! I wrote an email to Maytag customer service explaining the problem and asked if there was anything they could do to help me on this 1 1/2 year old washer. I received an immediate email stating they would get back to me in 3 days. Ten days later, I finally received a reply. I was told there was nothing they could or would do even though I was a valued customer and that they understand and appreciate my feelings of disappointment.I worked for a large department store from 1970 to 1990 and sold appliances, one of them being the Maytag brand. At that time, they were considered to be a top of the line brand. This was why I purchased Maytag appliances for over 40 years. I am surprised and saddened to see a lot of on-line complaints against Maytag appliances and also that this 1 1/2 year washer needs to be repaired so soon. Obviously, times have changed. I figured it would cost me at least $100.00 to have this washer repaired. Rather than do that, I am going to take this in need of repair to a scrape recycling center and then go out and buy a new washer, but it will not be Maytag! Maytag will never disappoint me again!

I mistakenly purchased the Bravo XL top load washer. I only wish I could give it a zero rating. I have only tried to wash 3 loads of clothes. It is almost beyond belief that anyone could possibly think this could clean anything. My husband actually watched it “work”, and insists I call Maytag because they must have forgot a part! It does nothing but crumple/wad the middle items together and rub them...and only them...together. There is no movement of the outer items until it spins. Maybe Maytag should enlist people who actually do laundry to “test” the items they put their brand on. I know the government and the energy rules have added to the complex problem of buying something as simple as a washing machine...but this piece of junk is almost laughable to watch as it destroys your laundry. I’m almost embarrassed to let anyone know I bought it. Thankfully, I have 30 days in which to return it.

I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

I am so sorry to see so many people having the same problem. Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749AWM2 purchased 12-10-11. Control Panel needs replaced (260.00...service call, part and labor). Writing this as Ive spent the last 20 mins on hold with Maytag. Im demanding them to make this right. Ive been told by Trisha at Maytag not to believe all these post as people tend to exaggerate the problems. Anybody have info on class action lawsuit? ?

March 31, 2013 a Maytag front loader washer series 2000 was purchased. In January an error code E4 and F3 kept stopping the washer. Service replaced some minor part, worked for a week. Then service replaced a circuit board - worked fine for a few months. About June of 2014 the codes came up again. This time Service wants 430.00 for a 700.00 dollar washer to fix a continuing issue. So I decided not to spend the money. I could buy another washer, different brand of course, and try and fix it myself. I removed the top and the bottom front covers. The 3 wires going into the circuit board that was replaced were loose, barely plugged in. The catch all at the very bottom right had derbies and coin in it, cleaned that out. Looked at the motherboard with a magnifying glass. It had no bad solders, cracks or burn marks, so I proceeded to run my hands around the entire drum inside... and in the back side where you can’t really see were some more loose wires.... tightened them. Now with the spin rpms you can understand how things shake loose, I always look for the common sense issues.... I am currently on my third wash load. It runs smoother and quieter than it did when it was first installed. Point is the Maytag service sucks and with only a year warranty from the manufacturer. What did I have to lose to try and fix it myself. I am sure this is happening with a lot of other people. The odds of a motherboard or a circuit board going bad in such a short time made no sense. So check all the wiring FIRST. Make sure everything is securely plugged in. I would not recommend anyone buy a Maytag or Whirlpool (owns Maytag) for their reliability or service.

DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG BRAVOS MCT WASHING MACHINE!!! I have had the machine for two and half weeks, it HAS NOT WORKED EVEN ONCE!!! Service was scheduled - again for a BRAND NEW machine - through Maytag/Whirlpool - and the service ordered never happened. We waited an entire day, 8 am - 4 pm, only to discover the service desk of Maytag doesnt work either. My service is now booked for another week away and I am working on returning this AWFUL Maytag washing machine which never worked even one time!!! Warning: Do not buy Maytag/Whirlpool appliances!!

This is my second washer in less than 5 years, going third. No customer satisfaction. Maytag/Whirlpool dont care, Customer Service doesnt care - all I hear when I call is, “too bad”, “so sad”, “call a repairman”, so you can spend another $100.00 plus. I hope this doesnt happen with someone elses brand when we buy it. Shame on such a big company.

Have a Bravo Quiet Series 300, does not clean clothes because on not enough water to wash with. Have to set it on Bulk to have it clean good enough. The way it agitate and rotate the clothes turns the wash into knotted pretzels (this also makes it harder to clean the clothes) which in turn makes the spin cycle vibrate badly. Cannot put wash in and leave because of this.

Washer would stop right after it started. I googled the problem and found out it was a bad lock. These Bravo XL units were purchased in 2015. Called an appliance repair and they charged me $250 to replace the lock (service call was $98.00 and labor was $90). The repairman left and I started the washer. There was a loud sound coming from it. I called the repairman back and he said it was the gear case and basket. He said the basket was covered under the warranty but the gear case wasnt. Would be about $750 to fix....no way was I paying the cost of a new washer to fix this less than 4 yr old one. I called Maytag. They couldnt help me. I should have purchased an extended warranty they said. The cost to purchase the extended warranty is now $394.00 per year....please do not purchase a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance unless you like buying extended warranties.

Washer broke down after one year. The washer stop in the spin cycle. Called many times - got no satisfaction. Still using local laundry mat. Very disappointed. Always thought Maytag was top of the line. I guess I was wrong.

Our less than five yr old washer finally died. It had been making awful sounds. Started in only very small loads but then started in bigger loads too. It finally stopped altogether. Model number MVWC400XW4. I would NOT recommend this washer.

In December 2017 I bought a Maytag Bravos (w/o agitator) based solely on past experience (56 yrs.) of buying from Maytag without any complaints. A friend told me I wouldnt be happy with my purchase and she was RIGHT! It doesnt get my clothes clean to my satisfaction, my towels are all getting snags as well as silky sheets and pillowcases and dark clothes have a soap scum line on them. I have slightly better luck if I wash everything with the deep water level option but I still need to wash dark clothes a second time without any soap or fabric softener to lighten the scum line.I am very careful to use minimal amounts of high efficiency detergent but that doesnt help. I called Maytag and complained within the first month but then we were gone for the month of February and I just never followed up with them. Now Im sure its too late to do anything. I wish I had listened to my friend. Hopefully I can save another consumer from making the same mistake I made.

Leaked and leaked, spent hundreds on never ending problems from day one. No support from Maytag. I was told by Sears salesman it was the best you could buy. Our old washer lasted 30 years. This one never worked right - dead at 5 years. Shame on Maytag.

As others have stated, cant wash more than a couple towels or 2 pair of blue jeans. The washer is useless. Purchased Maytag for quality and received crappy worthless machine. Maytag should take returns and refund buyers money!

Centennial HE top loading washer - When I put the HE Tide powder in the washer, it does not always rinse well. I have to rewash often. I use very little soap.

This machine does a great job at cleaning clothes. The clothes are always great in color, and removal of removable spots. The cycles are not too long and the machine is not noisy. Machine is nice looking and water cycles can be normal or large.

I am retired and have always had dogs in my life. My recent purchase of a new Maytag top loading washer has been very frustrating. There is barely enough water to measure in an oversize tub. The placard on the lid, and in the owner manual clearly show three levels of water. Each load takes twice the time as I am used to with my older Kenmore washer. I am forced to cut my loads in two or three, and use more water and energy to do a job that used to take less than half the time, water and electricity. I have had warranty repair to replace the control board twice, but nothing has changed. The repair techs both said there is one program on new washers, the knobs and settings do nothing, and recommended I get used to it. They explained the EPA is responsible for all changes to Protect consumers from harm. WHAT???I wish I had never bought this unit - if I could get my Kenmore back I would, in a hot minute! What a waste of a large tub to properly wash pet bedding and bedspreads/pillows, when there is only 3-4 inches of water! I wasted an entire paycheck, when I could have gotten my other unit repaired or rebuilt. I am seriously frustrated, I am searching for an older washer unit to get back to doing my laundry without being forced into a laundromat for pet bedding and larger items!!!

Purchased Maytag Model MVWB865GW0 Ser# **, had it ONE year, circuit board and switch have gone bad, will not turn to change the type of wash cycle and the lid will not lock, which makes the washing machine not start to wash. Contacted Maytag to request a service call, per the service team the circuit board will cost $300, plus a switch $75 and Labor $100 plus tax. We will be better off buying a new washing machine! We should not have this high cost within ONE year of purchasing! Will not purchase a Maytag again!

Dont buy their washers. Plain and simple. Will never ever buy Maytag again. This washing machine is garbage and I paid a lot of money for it. 3 months out and it had to have the entire circuit board replaced. I was assured that this was the issue. It has never cleaned our clothing, in fact, they come out twice as dirty and with soap. Weve used the Affresh, weve put as little as 1 tablespoon of detergent, weve triple washed several loads and still ended up having to wash them by hand in the tub. Changing the circuit board did nothing. Weve tried setting it to max fill (which it does) and everything still comes out the same. Its not the water, its not the water hook ups (previous washer worked great but was old, should have kept it). This is the worse product that Ive spent almost a thousand dollars on. Its a paperweight. On top of this, it twists your clothes into a mass. I expect companies to be honest about their products and provide what I paid for. How many times does this washer have to be fixed before you will call it a bad design? Im having to literally do all my laundry by hand for the last 8 months. I want my money back so I can buy a good quality product that works. I could have bought a $300.00 washer that would have done better then this. You want more proof, go read their Facebook replies to all their posts. Its all complaints about their washing machines. It would be nice for once to see a company fess up and say they made a design error. But that wont happen. Their money is more important.

So far after 5 calls and over two hours spent on calls IMPOSSIBLE to get an answer from Maytag about the correct fill levels of detergent. Consumer support simply do not know and refuse to direct me to anyone or have anyone call that does know answer. WHY SO IMPORTANT? Either you do not get clothes clean OR you damage machine and leave residue on clothes! Neither is acceptable. Using the fill level indicator on Bravos XL dispenser is in direct contradiction to any recommended levels on lids of high efficiency detergent manufacturers like Tide. Per Maytag manual only fill detergent to max fill LINE which is literally about two or three tablespoons of detergent. The lowest possible quantity of Tide per the lines on lid even for smallest load is two or three times the recommended fill level on the dispenser. No one has to be an engineer to know two tablespoons of HE detergent in dispense is going to do same effective cleaning for one shirt or towel as it will with a queen size comforter or very large full capacity load. CORRECT ANSWER DETERMINES IF YOU DAMAGE WASHER OR IF YOU HAVE DIRTY CLOTHES. Googling online there is also no answer. Such a critical answer for Maytag washer to work and clean clothes that is simply not available and documentation is wrong is a huge concern about the viability of this machine and worse their support. Our machine is less than two months old but is obviously over-engineered to the point of just being silly. Tip to Maytag: start selling washboards. More energy efficient, more green except for red and blue bruised knuckles, uses one tenth as much water and users do not need to spend their nest egg savings to buy. Not the first but will be the last Maytag product we will buy. Name may be same but the company is definitely not the company that used to enjoy that name with pride. SUMMARY: Maytag is adamant about using the correct amount of HE detergent OR damage and bad performance by washer and dirty clothes with a detergent residue. With all our best efforts we cannot get what that quantity of detergents is supposed to be. The user manual at best has ambiguous answer. The manual suggest horizontal measure of detergent in tray to max fill level which cannot be right. IF you instead use a vertical measure of how high detergent level comes up to the max fill line the quantity is radically different. It says dispenser holds 3 oz which would be beyond max fill level but nowhere near a vertical fill level.

Very easy to use- just dial the button to the load of your choice! The only problem I have is it becomes unbalanced sometimes on a heavy load. :( And it is also energy efficient and lets you know when it needs cleaning.

Updated on 10/09/2019: Well I wrote a review on my brand new Maytag washer that we bought at Lowes in June. When I wrote the last review I was waiting for our repair. They did come to repair and I was told by the repair guy (keep in mind the washer was only 2 months old at the time) that there were 3 fail codes. He said that it was overloaded or loaded wrong.That you cant wash towels with sheets, you cant wash any kind of rug no matter the size, which I only wash small bathroom rugs that are NOT oversized or heavy, you cant wash tennis shoes (which I have not). So I asked him what is the point of investing in what is supposed to be a top of the line, heavy duty, extra large tub, commercial washer? He said that you cant do that with any machine. I told him our old washer that we had 13 years had no problem with washing towels & sheets together. My point is that I am 100% disappointed in this washer & I encourage you to NOT buy Maytag, apparently they no longer live up to their brand.Original Review: We did our research & comparing & this machine came up on top. Its size suites our needs & we were excited about all the great features. We purchased it in mid July of 2019 so its 2 months old & for the last month it started to shut off in the middle of a wash cycle. At first we thought that maybe we were doing something wrong. So we would re-start it & it worked. Fast forward 3 weeks, it was doing it almost every time. Now it isnt working at all, it starts to fill up then shuts down before it starts to wash.Today is a Friday & I called Maytag to request a service call under the warranty (60 days old) Maytag had me on hold for 19 minutes before I could even talk to someone! The customer service person (once she was on) was very nice & sympathetic but couldnt get anyone out to service our machine until Tuesday, which is a HUGE inconvenience since we have not been able to wash for the last 3 days. I am highly disappointed in the machine for the simple reason that I paid for a new topnotch machine because my old one that 13 years old finally gave out & now am in the same situation & in for $1000 I paid for this new washer & having to go pay to do laundry 2 MONTHS later! I will add to my review once they have performed the service call to see if the issue is resolved or the machine replaced if they cant fix it.

This is the worse washing machine ever. Wish Id never have bought it. Clothes come out unclean, washer cleaner cycle doesnt work, water level is almost none, etc etc. I could go on and on, you get the picture. Coming here and seeing 100s of negative reviews and complaints many of which I suffer from as well, just clarifies how bad this machine really is. There has got to be a way to bring a class action lawsuit or arbitrary suit against them. Im pretty confident that there are probably 100s more who are dealing with this shoddy washing machine as we all are.

Bravos XL washer - I agree with others, if I won the lottery, this would be on the street in two minutes. It is a complete waste of money. Nothing comes clean. Supposed to be water efficient, well not when you have to wash everything multiple times and I have to do them in such small loads to have any hope of anything getting clean. Some clothes just never look clean. I have the same issue with all my dark things coming out with white residue and yet I use liquid detergent. I follow all the instructions and do the monthly Affresh tablet (cash grab) and still nothing is ever clean. I am SO disappointed in this machine. I thought Maytag and Whirlpool were good brands but not anymore. I also get a constant HC error and there is nothing wrong with my water lines. Just so disappointing, save your money and frustration and buy something else!!

Unreliable! When you push start, it goes into sensing mode and starts to fill. You walk away thinking it will run to find out an hour later it is still in sensing mode! Wasting electricity, your time and talk about stress! You have a 50-50 chance it will go on and run the load, but if you dont have time to stand there and watch it. FORGET THIS WASHER. Also does not clean as the old agitator washer, which I luckily still have, yeah. Always read reviews before buying anything. Nice website.

I purchased this washer because of Maytags reputation of the repairman who was supposed to be needed less. Ha! Was that a joke? Ive only had this washer 5 years, repaired once and now it sounds like its gonna blow up. Please dont buy one… Maytag has a one year warranty, but unfortunately I didnt take one out due to their reputation. Plus its hard on the working class to come up with the extra for the extended warranty! I dont normally write reviews but thought maybe I could save someone else a little cash!

This Bravos top load was supposed to be energy efficient but after leaking and getting a repair estimate ($79) the technician informed me that the ring and putter tub (all cheap plastic) had several large holes in thin caused by an uneven load. Total cost of repair was $517 for a $900 washer after 3 years. He suggested that the Maytag was junk and that I buy a speed queen...LOL. When I called Maytag of course they lied and said they were not aware of any problems and would not help with the cost of repairs. Can everyone say Class Action Lawsuit...Shame on Maytag! DO NOT BUY THIS washing machine!

We bought a Maytag Neptune front loading washer from Bens Maytag in Surrey four years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. There is no screen in the machine to prevent small things (like coins, screws) from going behind the rubber seal and into the pump. As a result, coins frequently block off the outflow to the pump so the machine doesnt drain.We have had to pay for service calls more times than we can count, and have spent more than original price of the machine making repairs and replacing the pump. We now have learned to take off the hoses and open the pump to remove coins ourselves, which we have to do every few weeks! Bens Maytag tells us that its our fault for letting coins go in the wash. There is no accountability for the faulty design of the machine that allows this to happen. We should have cut out losses and thrown this piece of junk out three years ago. We want Maytag to take responsibility for the faulty design of this product and to credit at least our purchase price toward another machine that works properly!

I bought a Bravo washer 4 years ago from Home Depot. The spin cycle is stuck on high speed and sounds like a jet plane. Repair man came and said don’t bother to fix it because the bearing is gone. The machine cost close to $900. The repair man charged over $100. We are two retired senior citizens who dont do lots of laundry. I have read numerous complaints about the Bravo washer very similar to ours. Elder abuse should protect us from Maytag’s thievery and lack of help in repairs and replacement. A class action should be in place to address the Maytag Bravos manufacturing defects. There should be a recall and some type of reimbursement on this product . Please help us with this unjust situation.

We purchased a Maytag from Lowes about 3 years ago. The spin function quit working properly last Feb 19. We paid $350 to have parts replaced thinking it was a fluke and we would be set for a long time to come. Well, last week the same thing happened... not even a year later. Lowes doesnt care and Maytag doesnt care. They want you to spend more to get a warranty to get you to 5 years... well as far as I am concerned that is not good enough. An appliance should last 10-15 years. This Maytag was to replace a Whirlpool that caught all of our clothes in the agitator fins, so after a short period of dealing with that we paid out for a Maytag without an agitator. So in the span of 6 years... we had about $1,500 of dissatisfaction. I believe our repair guy said they the companies are one and the same. Selling junk ought to be illegal.

Same as the rest of complaints. Dryer needed a new motor 3 months after purchase. Crazy. Door magnet replaced at 5 months. Lint screen replaced. Washer electrical board replaced at 8 months. Cloths come out wrinkled, tore up with holes and I have like bleach spots on clothes that I didn’t use bleach with. Now the washer is screeching and coming UL. My husband thinks its the bearings and tub seal. Called Sears and parts alone are 185.00 not counting labor. Of course its out of warranty now. Seen comments about a class action lawsuit. I really think this product deserves one. Why should we as consumers have our hard earned money wasted on a product that doesnt meet our standards for a quality washing machine that we thought we were buying. Whos in.

Fifteen months after purchase of the top load washer, we have had to call in repair. The lid lock and sensor have went out on the machine and the repair costs are equal to the purchase of the machine. Whether the consumer has an extended warranty or not, this is unreasonable. So hear this Maytag, the CONSUMERS will invest elsewhere when delivered cheap merchandise like this even if it is Made in the USA as you wish to tout in order to bait the consumer for their money instead of providing superior quality American products. This consumer is sending this machine out the door.

Ive owned my Maytag Neptune front loader since 2003. Since then, the whites have either turned gray or yellow. Ive tried minimizing the use of Tide HE, maximizing its use, and I still get the same results. Can anyone please assist me with this major problem? Ive owned Maytag appliances since the mid 60s, and I know the quality isnt there anymore.

Love my washing machine. It is so big I need a step stool to reach down to the bottom. It cleans my wash well and I have dirty clothes. I hang my clothes on the line outdoors. My clothes have never looked and smell so good.

Maytag is the worst washer company. I owned my washer for two years and I had two different problems with it and now I have a 3rd. The first was the same day they delivered the washer, I needed a wire harness. I should have returned it then but I didnt. The 2nd was six months after the first one. A wire came loose due to the washer shaking and the 3rd, Im not sure why it wont drain but the tub is full of water. I called Maytag and they really didnt care as long as they got their money. They referred me to three companies that fixes washer. Two of three was already out for this washer. If I didnt know any better I would think Maytag gets paid off for every customer they referred to these companies. I would never buy another Maytag Bravo or Whirlpool product. Im very dissatisfied with their Bravo washers. They lost a long time customer.

My Maytag 3000 series washer had to be worked on right after we purchased it. Now it stinks and is leaking. Repairs are going to be over 300 dollars. A part wore out. It should have lasted longer and why does the front loading washer stink. There is no door to open to clean the filter.

Prior to purchase, I did my due diligence and read reviews about this washing machine. Apparently, they were written by Maytag employees, because this washing machine has been a major disappointment. Yes, it tangles clothes and sheets, but I feel that is to be expected since it is HE and uses less water. I will give it that and I dont have to dry nearly as long. But that is where my positivity ends. Clothes dont always come out totally clean. And then there is the issue with the horrific grinding noise. The machine has been making a progressively louder, angry, grinding noise with a high-pitch end note. And as of today, a horn type noise has started. Lovely.I anticipate the machine is on its last legs and I have only had it a few years. I spent too much money on this and feel like I have been misguided and, quite honestly, ripped off by Maytag.

Horrible machine. Purchased on 02/28/2014. I am 63 y/o retired housewife now. Machine used only for light washing, occasional king size sheets and weekly towels. I bought into the Maytag name, am so very angry that I did. Started a load at 1215 pm today... it is still sensing, washing, rinsing, spinning and then it starts all over again. Just unplugged from the power source, hopefully I can get the clothes spun out enough to dry!! Call and live chats to Maytag were frustrating to say the least. $400 plus Maytag service call to check out the machine not fix check out repairing would be extra. (I do not live in rural area, live 5 minutes from downtown Jacksonville FL!!!) Independent Repairmen will not touch this Maytag Model (cannot say I blame them!!). DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG PRODUCT. This is a horrible company lacking in integrity, honesty and fairness. They sell shoddy, inferior products based upon past history.

Well, my washer is 2 years old, yes thats right - 2 years old. And it only goes to the wash cycle, washes once and stops, wont complete a full cycle. Yes, the brand with the commercial with the repairman just sitting around because their products are so great you never have to work on them. Yeah right. And Ive seen videos on YouTube on the problem with the Maytags. So Maytag may want to look into it!

I was repairing this Maytag Maxima washer and was almost electrocuted. I simply grabbed the wrong screws which were too long for the door switch, one screw went through into the open/close switch and contacted voltage, thus causing a direct short to the chassis and me. It also damaged my control board (the most expensive one in the industry), now Im out an extra $220 because Whirlpool made an engineering error. A screw should not be located so close (millimeters) to a voltage source where a simple mindless mistake could cause electrocution and possibly death. As for the washers operation, the drain pump failed after just two years, it sometimes leaks water out the front because debris gets into the boot drain back holes. It smells like mildew even though we leave the door open, my clothes stink, Affresh is costly and really doesnt help much. It does a decent job of cleaning, not as good as the old top loaders but it saves water. I think next tax return time this machine goes up for sale and we get a better machine.

We are on our 2nd Maytag washer with the 1st being a top load with agitator and the second without. Both were also bought used. The 1st one broke after I was cleaning it so totally my fault but the second one the door lock broke. Aside from that they do wash clothes well and but I do wish there were more or different cycle settings. Overall they are good machines for out price. (Being used that is.)

We bought a Maytag washer in 1987. It worked beautifully for years. The Maytag Centennial Washer we have now is sub-standard. It takes a full hour or more to wash one load. No quick wash feature. Today I filled the washer with soap, clothes, and pushed the button to fill it. It filled and inexplicably drained, wasting my time, water, and laundry soap. I regret buying this washer.

First Maytag washer we bought in 2003, worked flawlessly for 14 years, bought a new one in 2017 only because my wife wanted a bigger washer. Bought a Maytag top load MVWB765FW0. What a big mistake. In less than 3 years it has failed already. The water inlet valve went bad. Maytag offers no tech support because they want to charge you with a service call. I found out what was wrong by researching the problem and error code online and bought the part for $55.00 and fixed myself instead of them charging $100.00 just to show up at your door plus the part and labor. A washer failing in less than 3 years is totally unacceptable and I will never purchase another Maytag/Whirlpool product ever again. Someone needs to wake up at Maytag.

The way the outlet line and pump are set up, the Maytag Bravos does not remove all water from the bottom leaving about 2-3 inches. Even following the monthly cleaning and care has not stopped the inside of the tub from producing MOLD. When I contact Maytag there was nothing they could do about this problem. At this point my washer is only a few years old. I attempted to clean it myself but the drum would not break free. My options are, deal with the smell of mold and mildew, Pay Maytag $250 to come out and clean it (this would need to be done every 1-2 years) or buy a new washer. NOTE: I paid about $550 for this one. I have run a few clean cycles with bleach, but I think at this point the mold has embedded itself into the plastic tub.

Washer stopped working, never did clean clothes. Out of warranty - some it is fix or buy a new one. DONT BUY!!

Dont ever buy this washing machine. After warranty was up, the motherboard went. After that, the pump went. Now, the machine has been shaking and we have to realign the clothes in the washer on an average of 6 times before it completes the cycle. The banging is nerve-racking! Never again buying Maytag!
