We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. Clothes come out of washing machine smelling bad and you could see the soap scum on darker clothing. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

When I attempted to contact Maytag about an issue in my 3 month old washer all I received is an automated email back saying to contact one of the repair places on their website. There was one, so I notified Maytag I would contact them. I contacted them. They said Maytag had not notified them that this was a warranty repair and if I wanted them to come out I would have to pay for it. I have attempted to contact Maytag several times to get this straight. Guess they are trying to wait out the warranty to respond. Will NOT EVER buy another Maytag. Too bad they used to be a good product.

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

Our washer ran great until last week. Had repairman in. User interface died after 18 months use. $250 for the part plus labor. This is a $1000 washer. Buyer beware. Maytag is just another name for any washer in the Whirlpool lineup. Uses the same parts. Has the same issues. Should have bought a Speed Queen.

First off. Maytag customer service is horrible. I purchased a Maytag washer & used it 8 time. It now doesnt rinse the soap out of my clothing or even clean anything. The washer isnt broken because thousands of other people with the same exact washer have written negative reviews everywhere online. The washer needs to be recalled & never sold again. Maytag is making people SICK and they dont care. My whole family had skin irritation because we didnt realize our new washer wasnt rinsing.

Purchased new washer mid-February from Maytag dealer. He said machine has few problems and it was a good machine. 3 and one half months later, the machine is dead. No lights on display but power at plug. Repairman comes at appointed time and says it needs a new circuit board. Within a week, the part arrives and an appointment is made to install the new board and still have the same problem. Have to order a new console panel. 3 and a half weeks later, the part comes in. I have a job which I used the money to buy this machine and now the service advisor wants me to take off work so they can try to fix this machine. He told me I cannot return the machine. Whirlpool Canada LP Customer Assistance said they could not do anything. When I asked to talk to her boss, she put me on hold. She came back and said they would give me 6 months extended factory warranty and she would email this which I have not received. Work schedules will dictate when the next appointment will be made.

Dont buy their washers. Plain and simple. Will never ever buy Maytag again. This washing machine is garbage and I paid a lot of money for it. 3 months out and it had to have the entire circuit board replaced. I was assured that this was the issue. It has never cleaned our clothing, in fact, they come out twice as dirty and with soap. Weve used the Affresh, weve put as little as 1 tablespoon of detergent, weve triple washed several loads and still ended up having to wash them by hand in the tub. Changing the circuit board did nothing. Weve tried setting it to max fill (which it does) and everything still comes out the same. Its not the water, its not the water hook ups (previous washer worked great but was old, should have kept it). This is the worse product that Ive spent almost a thousand dollars on. Its a paperweight. On top of this, it twists your clothes into a mass. I expect companies to be honest about their products and provide what I paid for. How many times does this washer have to be fixed before you will call it a bad design? Im having to literally do all my laundry by hand for the last 8 months. I want my money back so I can buy a good quality product that works. I could have bought a $300.00 washer that would have done better then this. You want more proof, go read their Facebook replies to all their posts. Its all complaints about their washing machines. It would be nice for once to see a company fess up and say they made a design error. But that wont happen. Their money is more important.

I bought this washer three years ago. It is the worst washer I have ever owned. Washing a load of clothes, it goes off balance constantly, large load, small load...it doesnt matter. The smell because of low water usage is awful, and the clothes dont come out clean. I have to buy a new one and that really stinks. Maytag youre off my list for purchases. These days its quality that will keep you in business. We are too smart for this garbage.

Thankfully, Home Depot replaced the washer when Maytag wouldnt authorize a replacement after I had it for 3 days. Maytag wanted me to order a part, wait for the part, and then schedule their third party service contractor. It’s been about 2 weeks without a washer. Ive been posting about my experience and received an email from Maytag asking me to post feedback on their site, but it was rejected. Their note to me was “Our publication guidelines do not permit content that references a service policy, customer service interaction, or customer service question.” In other words, theyre not at all interested in customer service. Maytag/Whirlpool is no longer the brand to look for.

Bravos x - Ok so I was checking on my washing machine balance which is off. I came across the reviews and find how horrible the machine is! Grinding at last cycle, and not wringing out clothes on some loads. I thought grinding and wringing out was to be that way since it did it from day one. I thought I just needed to adjust clothes to wring out. Balance was taking out some clothes but it was put in properly. Boy was I wrong. Im so pissed after reading all your reviews. Im going to contact my daughters who works for attorneys about false advertisement and selling something they know is crap.

Code F51 showed up and my appliance repair man immediately said, I see this problem with the Maytag Bravos all the time. Its a control board and motor problem. He gave me a number to call to see if I could receive help through Maytag (Whirlpool), because its a major fix. He also thought that there might be a recall by now since there have been so many problems, but no. The Maytag customer rep was of no help. So disappointed in Maytag and the Bravos Washer. I will never buy another Maytag again!

I owned an front loading Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer MAH5500 for more than 10 years and first 5 yrs doing 2-3 loads a day for a family of 12 so this machine held up well, and only issue we had with the machine was the rubber around outside needed to be replaced after about 9 yrs.

Failed after only 13 months with light use. I have a Whirlpool extended warranty which I had to fight to get them to honor. Then someone came to fix my washer and needed part was ordered, but part isnt available and company wont tell me when it will be. I have received 6 part availability dates so far. Whirlpool wont help. Over two months now without a washer. Ive asked them to replace machine or give me my money back, but they refused. The Whirlpool Extended Warranty group doesnt answer their phones, was put on hold for a long period.

I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

I am submitting this review today to express my disappointment with my Maytag washer. This is the Maytag MVWX655DW (Bravo), with Serial# C61842055. In August of 2016 I lost many treasured items due to a flood in Lafayette, Louisiana. My daughter and I were devastated and displaced because of this event. This is also in addition to completing Cancer treatment 2 days before the flood.I lost my GE washer which was a great product. It was a struggle for a long time, but we were finally get back on our feet. I was able to get another place to live, and it was time to purchase a washer. I was told that Maytag was one of the best products on the market, so I decided to purchase my first Maytag washer. This did not turn out well for me, and it was very disappointing. After 9 months of ownership of this product, it is broken! It is my belief that the product may have been defective.I put in a service call, and had a repairman come to my apartment on June 19th. I was told that my washer needs several parts to repair it, including a pump. I have never had this issue with prior washers. My previous washer before my GE purchase survived for over 10 years before it has had any issues. I called on June 26th to ask about Maytag issuing me a new washer or a full refund, instead of repairing this faulty product. I was told no, and was offered and extended warranty for 6 more months and $75.00. I expressed to her that I would rather have a new washer.The Bravo Washer is a very bad product. Instead of taking advantage of customers, Maytag needs to stand by that 10 year warranty sticker on the washer. Please understand this purchase is a LEMON. This washer did not last a year. After all I have been through, I did not need this financial hardship. In the long run, this product will die again. Unfortunately for me I may not be able to afford to purchase another washer. Maytag washer MVWC565FW - Clothes do not wash. They just get pushed around and the soap scum is left on the clothes even with the water at the highest level. I bought the washer override lid switch at a appliance parts store just to observe the washer cycles. The washer did not wash the clothes. I took the washer back. I like Maytag products but this washer has to be engineered.

I sold my 20 year old Maytag set and upgraded to this Maytag Bravos washer. This machine takes almost 1 hour to do a load and they come out dirty. Only way to get clean is to set on bulky sheet which uses twice as much water as old machine. This unit should have never been put on the market.

Like the other poor reviews here- this Bravos top load washer is the worst. So wish we had returned it!!! There is never enough water in the machine on normal cycle to get all the clothes wet so how in the world would anyone expect the clothes to get clean? Just ridiculous - and whoever invented this machine, plus those who tested it, need to have their head examined! Hate it so much.

This washer sucks so bad. Just got it a few hours ago and its absolutely horrible. The water just runs for the wash cycle. And I was told by the salesperson at Best Buy that it would save you water. Thats not the case. There is enough water to run over all the clothes. It doesnt agitate enough to even move the clothes around. The clothes basically sit at the bottom of the tub in the water doing nothing. This Maytag Bravo washer will be returned tomorrow. Me and my wife are highly disappointed. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. Weve decided to just get the old washer fixed and go from there. There are too many bad reviews for this washer to still be on the market. We feel that this was a total waste of time, energy and money.

Bought a Maytag Bravos x MVWX700XX1 about 2 years ago and now the agitator barely moves and makes a very loud grinding noise. Never had a major appliance wear out so fast..is a piece of junk. Will never buy another Maytag product ever again. Their old ads about the Maytag guy being bored because he never needed to fix anything should be considered false advertising.

I wished I researched more before I purchased, but like most people, I believed in the reputation of Maytag. Like many others - my control panel started to go out 19 months after install: Had my first event with the washer; it would not allow me to select normal wash. A high-end machine shouldnt have electrical connection problems within 19 months, just 7 months after the warranty expires.When the repairman pulled apart our machine, he found a similarly burned looking touchpad ribbon cable, that was burned in exactly the same position as the photos shown on Maytags website under the review referred to. Maytag/Whirlpool has set up a special phone number to deal with this problem: I dialed 1-866-931-7384... Been on hold for over an hour Of course - NO answer! This washer ( MHW3505FW) leaks, is crazy loud, water wont drain, clothes smell bad after washing, defective drain pump, defective mother board. Only had 2 1/2 months and it broke. Maytag refused to refund me and Lowes refused as well. Thankfully I paid by credit card. Am disputing the charge. Terrible washer should be recalled. Many complaints on this washer. Very disappointed and upset.

The bleach dispenser will dispense bleach BUT it is full of water after each use. The dispenser is flushed with water by the machine at the engineered time in the cycle. The warranty service companies want me to pay around $300 ($100 + $70/ hr) for them to work on it. I have to use a measuring cup and pour water into the dispenser until it begins to siphon out. Stop pouring, and the dispenser will be empty for the next addition of bleach. The washer is allowing water to partially fill the dispenser AFTER the bleach has been flushed/siphoned out into the load of clothes. If the flush water were completely shut off after flushing operation, the dispenser should be empty.

I bought a front loading Maytag Cloths washer model# MHW3505FW1, SER# C71451407 new in April 2017, from Home Depot, since then it has broken down three times, with a water pump, a master board, and now another master board, we were told by the appliance repair service that is used by Home Depot extended warranty service, that it will take a month to receive the master board. Thats it... Never again will we buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product. This is unacceptable. Gone are the years when Whirlpool and Maytag made quality products!

Bought the Maytag MDSH969AWS1 in Dec. 2010, and it quit after 4 and 1/2 years. Ironically, replaced a perfectly good 20 year old GE model that ran great for this piece of junk. I tried to diagnose the problem: the washer fills, but when the cycle is supposed to start it just hums. Then you have to drain it. So I think the problem is the motor or capacitor. The parts are stupidly overpriced, and Im not even sure if that is the problem. It could also be the electronics board (Ive heard of the problems with these on this brand). So instead of risking wasted time and parts Im junking this, er, piece of junk. The stainless steel door was rusting on the bottom too. American made crap! Bought a fancy Samsung to replace it, and will NEVER buy Maytag again. My wife told me yesterday she was getting a f51 code... went on you tube and took the top off and the clothes holder out, found 1 quarter and 3 dimes... put it all back together... same thing... took the back off... hoses off, unplugged it and the allen that holds the motor had backed out... no more maytags for me... Tightened the allen, all is fine for now... my opinion, this should never ever happen... No lock washer anything engineering to prevent this from occurring... My grade: replace the engineer...

Bravos XL IS A JUNK. I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2 years at most and it is junk. I called. Told/complained them about the noise during wash cycle and spinning. The 10 years warranty is falsely. The 10 years warranty is covered only 2 components in the entire machine ???? and does not include the labor cost of $130.00 an hour. Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. ???? If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. ????

Purchased this washer in March of 2016 for a family of 2. In July of 2018 had to have system board replaced. Now here we are beginning of 2020 and washer is making grinding noise and did not spin out properly. Will not buy another Maytag, a washer should last more than 4 years. Poor quality product. Do not waste your money!

The way the outlet line and pump are set up, the Maytag Bravos does not remove all water from the bottom leaving about 2-3 inches. Even following the monthly cleaning and care has not stopped the inside of the tub from producing MOLD. When I contact Maytag there was nothing they could do about this problem. At this point my washer is only a few years old. I attempted to clean it myself but the drum would not break free. My options are, deal with the smell of mold and mildew, Pay Maytag $250 to come out and clean it (this would need to be done every 1-2 years) or buy a new washer. NOTE: I paid about $550 for this one. I have run a few clean cycles with bleach, but I think at this point the mold has embedded itself into the plastic tub.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. I was always impressed with the front loading spin washers commonly found in laundromats. The top loading Maytag Bravos does a great job of cleaning clothes and does not stick another door in your way when loading or unloading it.

I bought this POS and paid almost 1000. Out the door with tax, hoses, delivery, etc. And it is by far the worst most useless pile of crap I have ever purchased. It just does not work!!! Its a washer that does not wash. It uses enough water to wash one sock and that still comes out stinky.. All my clothes no matter what cycle I use including deep fill power wash or if I add my own buckets full of water to the 1.5 hour wash cycle still come out dirty, stinky, stained and caked with detergent...Hey Maytag heres a hint. You need water to wash clothes and you need agitation to get out the soil, the dirt, the sweat, the stains, the stink and your washer does none of that. In fact I could get my clothes cleaner if I out them in the bath tub and swished them around with a broom stick for 3 mins. How could you go from the loneliest man on earth to the biggest scammer on earth by producing this boondoggle... P.S. Its only me and my wife. Absolutely the worst washer we have ever had. Clothes come out smelling and look like they havent been washed. I should have bought a cheap washer, I bet my clothes would have been cleaner. As with most other owners I am dissatisfied with the cleaning action of the machine. I suspect, that in an attempt to garner green bonus points, the engineers have tweaked the cleaning water amount to the absolute minimum that may do the job and lengthened the wash cycle to the point that laundry for two average adults is an all day affair. Only get a decent washing job if you make very small loads. If you put a set of king cotton sheet in the machine, you will find that the machine manipulates them into the shape of your compact spare tire, and when you take them out... you will find many sections where the water did not reach... bone dry! Reload, rewash, ground hog day with each load. Cant wait for it to throw a bearing so I can get something else.

I just bought this piece of junk... Like everyone else I guess I didnt do enough research! I have had this washer for less than 3 weeks and just like everyone else I am so disappointed in how it tries to wash without water! I too have tried different settings. I had to wash a load 3 times... pausing it while trying to get the rest of the items wet. Its ridiculous... of course now to try and see if I can return it! Yah right... One baffle broke off in my washer. Very disappointed in this Maytag Model #MHWE201YW00 Serial #HL20102420. I purchased this in Sept 2012. Where the baffle was hooked on had sharp fins sticking out that ruined my 2 small rugs - shredded them.

Bravos X high efficiency... efficient at not cleaning your clothes, efficient at ruining clothes, sheets, towels, may be efficient at being a boat anchor. Maytag offers nothing. I have to rewash many load of dark clothing because pale white smears appear on the clothing most times. Ive tried various cleaning methods to try to remove any residue that might be in the walls of the tub. Unfortunately, I cant afford to replace the Maytag white elephant model 500XWZ, serial C31430894. I no longer have the receipt. Buyer, beware. No Maytags in my future.

Weve had this washer for five months now and really regret buying it. It cannot remove even minor stains and often leaves residue on clothes, even with extra rinsing. I spilled coffee on some fleece pajamas and it took four washings to get the smell out.

Maytag Washer was bought on May 2010 for $746.29 and it broke down. It was used only twice a week. It now requires repairs worth $991.36. All Maytag reps say is I am sorry, there is nothing we can do. Isnt there a lemon law for major appliances?

I purchased this on sale at Home Depot, 1 year later this washer top load doesnt clean clothes if the cycle does finish at all. I have to restart the cycle, re-rinse etc, theyre still dirty. I dont have time for that, I have four children and my husband works in construction and comes home with filthy clothes that are just wet and dirty when they come out of this washer. I dont usually write reviews but I hope I can save someone else the hassle. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand, they all complain of the same thing. This washer altogether is BAD! ITS LOUD, it bangs around if I dont put in the tiniest loads, even then, they come out dirty. Dont waste your time.

Prior to purchase, I did my due diligence and read reviews about this washing machine. Apparently, they were written by Maytag employees, because this washing machine has been a major disappointment. Yes, it tangles clothes and sheets, but I feel that is to be expected since it is HE and uses less water. I will give it that and I dont have to dry nearly as long. But that is where my positivity ends. Clothes dont always come out totally clean. And then there is the issue with the horrific grinding noise. The machine has been making a progressively louder, angry, grinding noise with a high-pitch end note. And as of today, a horn type noise has started. Lovely.I anticipate the machine is on its last legs and I have only had it a few years. I spent too much money on this and feel like I have been misguided and, quite honestly, ripped off by Maytag.

I saw something on your website about Maytag Neptune class action suit back in late 2005. I have owned one, never was notified of the settlement, and saw this since I have a mildew problem also in my washer. They are not willing to do anything about the repair on my machine, but send out someone and make me pay for it. Since I bought it in 2002, I would want to know why was I not included in the repairs and why wont they honor me in this since I am the machines original owner. Help, I worry that I am not having clean clothes and it is contributing to illness due to mold spores!

When I bought Maytag Neptune top-load washer, it lasted three months. I had to have the rockers replaced. Three months later, the lock switches went bad. Six months later, the main circuit board went out. Thank God it was under warranty. Ive had this ** washer four years and it broke down once again. I dont have any warranty and the money. Not only does the water not drain properly causing an insane amount of stench of moldy water being trapped, but this washer has had nothing but problems since we got it. The Maytag Centennial (Model MVWC6ESWW1) washer was purchased in September 2009 and within 18 months no longer provided water at the temperature selected on the control panel. The problem started after we used a spin setting to remove water from a cycle that did not complete itself. Somehow selecting a spin cycle disturbed the water temperature control mechanism. We were advised by Sears to unplug and then reattach the electrical connection (similar to rebooting a computer), but this was not successful in water being delivered to the washer at the temperature indicated on the control panel. While there was minor damage to clothing and a waste of hot water before we realized what was happening, the real inconvenience is not being able to rely on the water temperature setting. Based upon reading comments on the internet (including Consumer Reports) concerning this washer, the public should be warned not to purchase this machine. Better still the machine needs to be recalled in order to protect the consumer.

Maytag HE Top Load Washer - We bought our whole house lot of Maytag appliances 6 months prior to when we would need them, in Nov of 2015. There was a great Canadian Black Friday sale event special, so we purchased the whole lot at Home Depot thinking we had got a great deal, however back then there were very little reviews on the washers, as they were fairly new. This is the absolute worst washer, I have to pause the washer after the water level that the sensor allows finishes and add at least a bucket more of water to cover the clothes and clean them properly and rinse them twice to make sure the residue from the soap gets washed off (I use HE pods, so not using too much soap). Certainly not what you would expect when you buy a high-end appliance. Im going to replace it, but I cannot even try to recoup any money back, as I couldnt/ wouldnt be able to sell it to anyone knowing that it is just garbage!! You would think that a high-end appliance company like Maytag would admit that this appliance is a mistake and offer the consumers that purchased this junk a credit towards a washer that will do what is expected!! Think about it Maytag... you have lost a lot of future business by ignoring the fact that this machine is not what you advertise as a company that stands behind their name. I am sure to tell everyone that I know about the disappointment in this product. I have a friend that has a LG HE washer and it works great... so no excuses about water consumption regulations... its just not designed properly!!

The Maytag Bravos washing machine may well be the worst appliance available for purchase. Sure it is a high efficiency machine that saves on water -- the clothes are often still dry when the complete cycle is finished. Many times there is still soap residue on the clothes. Forget cleaning anything with any amount of dirt on it because it seems as though items are even more filthy after washing them. I have tried everything the company advised and still my clothes are not clean. My advice... please do not purchase this machine. You would be better off taking your clothes to a river and beating them on a rock. #wearingdirtyclothesforever

We bought a Maytag Neptune Washer and from day one in 7/10/2004, we have had trouble with the washer and Sears. First, it stopped working within eight months after we paid over 1300 for washer and master protection agreement. We called over and over from that day and was told we didnt show in their system as owning one and that we didnt get the master protection agreement. This went on and on until they finally told us on 8/2010 that they finally did find us in the system and that the agreement had ended a year before and would send someone (that was on 8/31/10) to do the washer. After having sat for almost six years, it reset itself and worked that day. I told the guy from A&E that it was the computer but that wasnt what he replaced so the washer went right back on in a month. So we had to save to have someone else come out from A&E to charge us 143.10 to say it would cost a total of 310.51 for the computer and that it probably wouldnt work for too long.

The frontload washer 4000 series began making a very loud noise on spin. I called Maytag and requested service. The technician came and made a diagnostic evaluation, stating this has been a bearing defect affecting several of these models. I called Maytag, and the representative agreed to ship the parts at no charge. A week later, we received the parts, only for the technician to find one of the parts damaged in shipping perhaps. So another part was sent directly to the Maytag dealer. Upon my research, this appears to be a known issue with the Maytag/Whirlpool corporation, and I found where customers had requested Maytag to also be responsible for the service/labor costs, which were also covered by Maytag. I made the call today and was advised no and to be happy that Maytag paid for the parts due to a known defect and that no service or labor charges would be covered. I understand my machine is out of warranty, but this is a known defect; its nothing caused by my self.

I purchased a Maytag top load HE Bravo 700 3 yrs ago. I only wash 3 loads of laundry a week and the bearings went bad in the washer! Maytag/Whirlpool will do nothing to help me because they say I should have purchased the extended warranty. Well there is NO WAY that I could have worn out those bearings; it was a manufacturing defect that caused them to fail and hundreds of people online all say they have the same issue. The repair cost is $400 and would only have a 90-day warranty so I might as well purchase a new washer. Home Depot (where I purchased the washer) has been very helpful and is offering me help on the purchase of a new washer, but even they could not get Maytag to do the right thing and repair my Bravo. I am going back to a none HE machine with an agitator. This has been a horrible experience and Maytag has no business putting commercials on TV that say they are dependable.

In September 2008, I purchased a Maytag washing machine (Model MTW5700TQ0) that had a faulty transmission. The machine was immediately replaced. Three years later, the transmission is again faulty. Maytag has refused any responsibility for repair or replacement.

Maytag Centennial Washer - Bought washer because of brand name and was that a mistake! This is the Loudest, noisiest, banging clanking washing machine I have ever heard. Every time I do a load of laundry the washer moves a foot from the wall and I have to continually move it back. Needless to say I hover over it all the time when I do laundry. It isnt even 2 years old and we are going to go buy a new machine, AFTER looking at reviews!!!

I purchased this Maytag Bravos Xl Top Loading Washing Machine approximately 2 1/2 years ago. It broke down shortly after the 1 year warranty was up and cost me $300.00 to fix. A bearing had broke and needed a service call to repair it. Well, I paid about $800.00 to begin with, so decided to fix it. Today it started draining water from bottom of it. I call Maytag and after a 20 minute wait on the phone because they were having higher than normal call volumes! They cannot help me, other than to charge me for yet another service call and perhaps a repair. Whirlpool/Maytag makes a high priced money pit of a washing machine! Dont waste your money!

So this washer, Bravos MCT cleans good not great. Saves water but clothes dont always come out clean or smell fresh. We have had it for just over a year and the control panel stopped working. Warranty is good for only 1 yr. UGHH!! It is all one unit so the complete circuit board had to be replaced. Half the cost of this washer new! I saved money by replacing it myself. Took 15 minutes. Very easy. Disappointing when you see this is a come problem with this model.

Maytag washer not draining properly. Called Aug 15 for help. First tech in on August 23, makes a diagnosis, orders part; no news, I call, am given Sep 15 as next date. Come 9/15, I take off from work, only to find out tech cannot come that day, to reschedule. Next tech comes 9/25 with a different diagnosis and different part to order. By October 3, an announcement that part came in, to make an appointment. By now, its been a month and a half, I am so angry. I call a friend, who fixes it in 15 minutes by simply clearing a clogged drain filter. This is unacceptable: the inordinate wait, incompetent techs, unresponsiveness from customer service. I cancelled my contract with Maytag Warranty/AIG.

This is the WORST washing machine I have ever had. You cannot control how much water goes into the machine and the clothes being washed are not even covered by water. They stick out above the water at least a few inches!!! How can anything get clean if no water is touching it! I even add water into the machine at the beginning with jugs of water just to cover the clothes... the machine automatically gets rid of that extra water and when the wash cycle comes on again the clothes are not submerged! I paid A LOT of money for this awful machine and Maytag needs to do something about it! And, yes there is a sticky gummy substance on all the dark clothes! I even put clothes in the washer with a dirt spot on it purposely and the spot is always there when the wash is done. Nothing gets clean! DO NOT BUY this machine... you will be very sorry!!!

I have had the Maytag Bravos washer since November 2010. This washer does not clean clothes. They are never even submerged in water. Had I known this, I would never have purchased it. The salesman at Sears surely didnt mention it. I remember being disappointed at the fact that there wasnt a washer in the place with an agitator. I am disgusted with the washer and the company. I realized that it has been over 12 months since we purchased it, but most people do not feel the need to investigate what is going on under the lid of their washer. I unfortunately assumed that the washer was going to wash! Silly me. No, it does a little spin spin and a little spritz of water (literally, thats it) and at the end, you are left with funk concentrated in the creases of your twisted up, stinky clothes. No agitator plus no water equals no clean! The smell is awful. Someone else described it best - a mildewy basement.Anyone else who is claiming that their clothes do not stink with this machine are surely being deceived by strong perfumes in their detergent and fabric softener. To get a true idea of what their clothes really smell like, they should wash a few times with a scoop of borax and no fabric softener. Then tell us how they smell. I am convinced that the entire line of HE washers is a sophisticated line of crap! They use such small amounts of detergent because that little bit of water going into it will not get any more soap out, much less sweat, dirt and lots of other nasty stuff. This may not be a big deal to other people, but it is huge to me. We have a small homestead. Our clothes get dirty. We spent several hundred dollars of hard earned money on a name we trusted and they do not care.Every load, every day, I am reminded of this fact and it infuriates me. Im not typically one to write in complaints, but as an American citizen where there is a free market (somewhat), I have an obligation. If a product is really good, the makers deserve my praise. Likewise, if the product is really bad, the makers (and refuses to compensate in any way) deserve my complaint, as do my hardworking fellow Americans shopping around for a new washer. Stay away from Maytag and if at all possible, stay away from HE machines. It is so true that they dont make them like they used to.PS: Maytag tried to blame this issue on government regulation when I called. Im sick of this passing the buck. I am fully aware of the chokehold government regulations have on business, but they only hurt small business. To act as if this is not a partnership between the government and big business (like Maytag) only adds insult to injury. Take a look at the money spent lobbying by this company. Disgusting. The good news is, any success they currently enjoy will not last.

It washes extremely well. Its reliable. The wifey loves it and thats enough for me!!! I have had no major mechanical issues. Since 2012 we use it heavily and every other day. I would purchase same brand if need be but Im confident that would probably be in 2024.

I bought a Maytag washer (Centennial) because of its reputation. I didnt even realize this site was out here and would have made another selection had I known. I bought the washer on June 7th of 2011. On June 15, 2012, the washer just quit working. I called Maytag. They said since the warranty was over that I had to pay a technician to come out and it would cost $129. I was upset but I had to have a washer so I scheduled it. The tech came out and said the motherboard was bad. He said that this has been a common problem with this machine and that Maytag should actually recall the part. The replacement part was much better. He suggested I call and complain. The part was $180. He said that Maytag may reimburse me because it was so close to the warranty cut off. I called Maytag to explain the situation, and what do you think their response was? Since you already paid for it, there isnt anything we can do. Nice! What a joke. I will never buy another product from them and neither should anyone else.

This top load machine replaced a top of the line Maytag Neptune. It has five water levels. It has three temperature settings and four wash selections. It also has a selection for an extra rinse that I use for white loads. The washer is very reliable. Clothes come out clean with an average amount of detergent. Although this washer is more than fourteen years old, it has never needed service or repairs. By running a cleaning cycle every six months, it drains like brand new. The stainless steel drum is still as polished as it was when it was new. Even the hoses have lasted with a need for replacement.

I own a 2004 Neptune front end washer that Ive dealt with the terrible smell of stagnant water since I got it. Now the motor went and I was told I need a new washer even though the product warranty information clearly states the motor is covered for up to 10 years. The repairman told us that the motor thats in my machine is no longer being manufactured. How is that my fault? I do not have another $800.00 for a new one, which is now not even a lot of money for a washer. Ive already bought 2 washers since I built my home 14 years ago. Its just not right!

Our washer, still under 5 year parts and labor warranty, wasnt functioning properly. We went through proper procedure having repair personnel first attempt to repair; waited over allotted time for replacement parts, wanted to attempt to repair again, then to replace with sub-standard model. We are now in our 5th month of being told 3-5 business days, 10-14 business days, and I was just told it will be weeks (after waiting 19 days) that replacement will return our call as they are 4 to 6 weeks behind. I have pages documenting dates, times, names, departments and excuses. What can I do at this point? What are my options?

We purchased a Maytag Top Load 5.4 cu ft efficiency washing machine. May 2019. It was making a funny noise already mid October and we had 8 parts replaced. After that it completely stopped working. We have been without a working washing machine for 2 months now. The technician has been to our house 4 times. When he came on Dec 31st to replace the mother board, that didnt solve the problem. He says the washing machine can not be repaired. We have been fighting with Maytag Canada and Lowes since the beginning of December. Neither company cares. We will never own another Maytag product. The company are crooks.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) in 2012 and one day before my 1 year warranty was up, my start button on the control panel wouldnt work. I called P.C. Richard and they sent a repairman who fixed it. This was in June of 2013. Here I am now hand washing again 1 year and 4 months after the repair. I called P.C. Richard again and was told that all brands have their weak points and because I got it on sale in the first place, I should not feel angry.Now that I am reading the reviews from 5 years ago, I realize that P.C. Richard knew this was an issue and chose not to disclose it or stop selling it. I had my G.E. for 10+ years and will go back to one. As I have no money for another new one, I will try to learn to fix this one on You Tube.

The worst wash machine Ive ever used. It doesnt clean clothes well. It constantly had error codes. Im constantly having to unplug and reset the machine and 4 times out of five it will NOT restart. Not to mention it stinks worse than my sewer. I have to run the refresh cycle every four to eight loads. Ive owned this machine three years. And it has been three years too long. I will go back to a ringer washer or a wash board and have better results.

Bought this because of the load capacity and it seemed like it would be a good purchase to help save on water. But worst mistake ever. The water level barely touches the clothes on top. It barely has any water whatsoever. All my dark colored clothes come out with residue. It’s disgusting and cleaning with Affresh does no good either. Very disappointed with the company.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL MCT because It could wash King size comforters/bed linen. I needed a machine that was large capacity. Also it was an HE washer that cut my water usage down quite a bit and reduced my water cost. Also this machine did a great job of cleaning my clothes and household items. The features were good. Variety of load type water temp if it was delicate, bedding, denim and more. I have had it for 5 years and so far no problems. It came with a 10 year warranty.

I purchased this washer three years ago. It worked fine, but all of a sudden the washer stopped spinning and was not following any of the cycles. Of course it was out of warranty. The repairman states the computer board on the washer is fried and will cost $400 to replace. Several stores have stopped selling Maytag because of quality issues. No more Maytag for me.

Add me to the list of people who hate this washing machine. It does not use enough water to get clothes really clean, leaves spots, is hard on clothes and tears them up, and the spin cycle gets unbalanced too easily. It has taken me hours to wash one load with a blanket in it because of the spin problems. I have not been able to restart the spin cycle without starting the wash cycle from the beginning.

I thought it was just my machine that sounded like an airplane taking off in my laundry room. Upon reading these reviews I see there is a real problem with this machine. My parents and grandparents trusted and swore by Maytag products. Maybe then, but certainly not now. Maytag for me stands for landfill. I have had 2 Maytag certified service companies come to repair my washer that is only 6 years old and its the same part both times which I am told by these service providers has been a problem and Maytag knows about it. But when I call Maytag all I get is some sound bite advising me there has been no recall and since I have an extended warranty I will have to take it up with them since that is who my contract is with. Of course they are only obligated to make a repair and cannot replace a defective unit. Of course not.Far be it for Maytag to step up and really stand behind the promises they are making all over our television channels with the new Maytag man. The top of the washer is also all rusted out around the soap, bleach, and softener openings. It is a poorly made machine with known issues by a manufacturer that I will never buy from again. Its a sad day that manufacturers are not held accountable for inferior products and even sadder that this Maytag manufacturer boasts its made in the USA for this machine. So is it back to China we go??? If you want America back you better support your product to your buyers.

I could not get parts for Maytag Model MHWE200XW00 Type 832A as the Whirlpool does not provide after sales service. I purchased the new washer in 2010 and lasted for just 4 years. I believe they guarantee supply of spare parts (Inner Basket, Outer Tub and Rubber Boot) for 10 years and more.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBH949AWB. We have purchased the extended warranty. Today, after more than 100 minutes on the phone, mostly on hold, we were unable to schedule an appointment to replace the control board, or even have them verify that we have extended warranty coverage. It generally took many many minutes to get a person, only to be referred to a different person at a different number. Nobody had access to our extended warranty info, and to go further into getting a repair scheduled, they said they needed that info. I finally went on their website, and after keying in extensive information, I got a screen saying they were having trouble with their website, and to please try again later. So I did their chat, and ultimately they told me to call 866-730-6094. The earlier numbers I called, in sequence, were 866-576-1660 (53 minutes on hold); then told to call 866-265-0029, for another long hold. And then told to call 800-626-4342. Long hold, and I hung up. At one point, I think the second person I actually spoke with gave me an incident number of **. My extended warranty expires in Feb. of 2017, and they even asked me to renew early. Since the warranty seems totally worthless, why would I do that? Terrible customer service. Wont do business with Maytag ever again, and am warning others not do so either.

Bravo XL - This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased! Loved it at first but after a year or so we couldnt wash a full load without error messages. Then we couldnt even wash one pair of jeans without an error message. Called to have it repaired and $300. Later the bearing was replaced and the washer worked wonderfully once again. Less than a year later and we are back to having a non functional washer. Cannot wash anything without the error message. Customer service is absolutely no help. For such an expensive washer and supposedly a good brand, this machine is a real disappointment.

This washer is only two years old and does the wash for 2 people. The control board has broken down and the lid lock did too. Of course the warranty had just expired, so there is no help from the maker, Whirlpool. Save yourself a big loss and dont buy these brands. Mine is going to the dump where it belongs. Thats $500 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and get a Speed Queen.

We currently have had our Maytag washing machine for approximately 15 years. The first thing we noticed was how user friendly it was. Also, the options that came with our washing machine met all of our needs. The second thing that we were excited about was how quiet it was. Our previous washing machine could be heard at the back of the house and was constantly out of balance. The third thing we noticed was how much cleaner our clothes were. Our clothes smelled better and had less wear thus saving us money. Speaking of which, the machine is an energy saver. One of the most significant attributes I can attest to is how reliable it is. There has never been an issue that required repair services. I am sure our Maytag will be in service for years to come. c

We bought a new Maytag Bravo XL washer in 2015 under the understanding it has a 10 year warranty. Well it’s 2020 and it starting leaking. Called customer service and lost 3hours of my life waiting for a person. Keep in mind I’m pretty handy and work on spa, and pools. And can troubleshoot things like this. I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. So they represent themselves And their warranty falsely. Buyer beware. Maytag is shady. I’m guessing Whirlpool is part of them so please do your research before you buy. 1. Customer service doesn’t exist with them. (3hrs hold times.) 2. Misleading warranty coverage. 3. Will not call you back.4. Try to extort more money from you. ($100 to send a tech out to confirm what you already know.)DO NOT BUY!!! Learn from our mistake.

We purchased a Maytag Commercial Technology washer from Lowes. After having the washer for only 3 months, the drum failed, an entire load of clothes was turned black with oil, and my washer was out of service for months. The drum had to be replaced. They did not offer me a replacement. I was just without a washer. They couldnt get the parts because of supply issues created by Covid. I was offered a 2-year additional warranty which should have carried me through 2022. Last week, I called to use the warranty - service was scheduled (and I was told that I did indeed have a warranty by the service team.) I was then told by the repair team that I was out of warranty. Maytags notes show I was only offered a 1 year additional warranty. I talked with Management at Maytag/Whirlpool - they will do nothing for me. Shame on me for not getting that in writing. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for lying to me. The washer has been a nightmare! Dont buy one.

This machine sucks. Im down to washing three to four items only on an extra capacity machine because every single load becomes unbalanced. Feeling the weight of each item and then placing it correctly doesnt work. Repairman came out. Said it was balanced. Lie. At this point I want to take a sledgehammer to it and send the pieces one by one to Maytag. They should be embarrassed to even have this product for sale to the public with their name on it.

Worst washer ever. My clothes I have to wash a few times before they all get wet. Not a good washer at all. Has all the bells and whistles. Lets me know when the washer is done or its unbalanced... my washer is crap. Ive had it maybe a year now. I now have to buy another one. Why? This washer was the biggest disappointment I have ever had. When I looked at it in the store I was excited that the tub was so big and the Maytag Label has always been trustworthy to me and my family. This machine certainly has disillusioned me against Maytag. I can only wash clothes on the bulky sheet cycle because even with deep water wash it only puts about 2 of water to wash clothes. Clothes on top dont even get wet! It doesnt take an engineer to figure out that you cant wash clothes without water. Big mistake! Would never recommend this washer to anyone! I complained directly to Maytag and never received a response. I have had to rewash clothes because they did not get clean. Even with an extra rinse the clothes still have enough soap in them to make my skin irritated. My whites are not white even though I use hot water and follow all of the directions provided with the machine. If there was any way I could afford it, I would throw this machine out to the garbage and get one that actually cleans the clothes. I will never buy another Maytag machine in my life. 

Belt broke in inside under tub after 13 months $150. Now another year and I am getting an error message F51 and it stops washing. Im done. Old Maytag lasted 14 years. This is done in 2. Im not paying any more to have it fixed for whatever F51 is. Im cutting my losses now. Hate this machine the way it washes anyway. Always feel like its gonna take off for Mars to join Matt Damon. HA. I try to laugh to stop being mad. Dont buy these. It gets no stars. And after reading other reviews, it deserves none. Shame on this company! Ugh, its making me put a star rating. But I say none.

After only 3 yrs of normal 2 person family use my Maytag washing machine completely failed. The ball bearings in the transmission seized requiring the replacement of the transmission. At the same time the control panel failed yielding the machine completely unusable. The repair cost was more than originally payed for the machine, forcing me to purchase a new one (not a Maytag). Maytag said since there was no recall on this model that they could not help me. I bought the Maytag because of their claim of quality. This was not my experience either with the product, or the customer service.

This is the WORSE POS I have ever owned/used/etc.... our clothes are dirty, w/ a scummy film, really bad in most cases. Some have weird stain appear that werent there. Electric & water bills up. Have to always use deep water wash, double rinse. My clothes are wet when I put them in due to sensor fill (extra weight), also a zillion mesh bags. Clothes are getting trashed, faded so bad & smell bad. Having to use a cleansing product monthly, in one aspect, should encourage the engineers that signed off on this POS to change careers. Maytag customer service says no complaints have been filed!!! Horse **!!! $ 800.00, trashed, unclean, wrinkled to the point of almost needing to iron all your clothes. I have been going to the laundromat. Engineers should have been FORCED to use this machine at least 2 months.... good reviews my **.

I have a Maytag Bravos XL and have white residue on all the clothes that get washed in this machine since I purchased it. I have always used HE Detergent and have followed all Maytags recommendations to reduce the white residue to no avail. I had to wash my clothes 5 times to get the residue off of my clothing and 4 of those were without any detergent and on all temperatures and wash cycles. Model # MVWB835DW.

Bought the xl about 14 months ago. NO LIE! Exactly 2 days after the 1-year warranty was up, the xl went down. Drive shaft and bearings. Did Maytag honor the warranty since it was only 48 hours past the expiration? Not just a no but a why are you bothering attitude. My brother and I are above average machine builders. Well fix it ourselves because we could buy a new one to have it repaired. After many hours scouring the web we found the parts. Maytag didnt make a repair kit available to the public. 7 hours plus over $200 to tear it down and to clean the muck trapped at the drain. Then sand-smooth the burnt on metal where the bearings sit. All for a washing machine that sucks at washing clothes in the first place. Never ever again will I buy a Maytag.

We had a Fisher & Paykel Washer that lasted 14 years. This Maytag Bravos XL washer has been the worst machine I have ever owned. The clothes come out dirtier than ever. In todays world all technology is becoming disposable, Where is the Maytag repairman now? I have tried all of the settings, to have a decent wash. I am ready to throw this out. Lowes you need to do something about this. It may be made in America but now we know why Japanese and Korean electronics just work! Damaged Clothes/Clothes not being washed thoroughly enough are my biggest pet peeves with this washing machine.

Maytag Front load washer mah8700aww - This washer has been the biggest boat anchor of a machine. Nothing but trouble and bad parts. New motor after 18 months, water level sensor at 2 years, main control board twice now at 2 years and 4 years, and now it is showing signs of needing yet another main board. E3 trouble code plagues our home and basement. This machine has been leveled and re-leveled numerous times and still shakes like crazy... I mix my paint cans by setting them on the top... the best use for this machine. Yes it sits on a concrete floor. So not satisfied and will not ever buy another Maytag anything. There should be a negative star rating. It does not deserve even 1 star after being taken advantage of like we and thousands of others have been.

I bought the power wash Bravos XL... Bad. It does not rinse the clothes, leaves residue on dark clothes.. probably all clothes - cant tell on lighter colors. I dont recommend!!! Waste of money.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos XL washing machine because I wanted a top loader that was water saving. This washer boasts of a 10 year commercial capacity so I thought I was buying a decent machine. Unfortunately I have had a very disappointing experience. From the start this machine has not cleaned clothes properly. We circle clothes around the agitator and only fill the machine a third of the way full. This is the only way to ensure clean clothes. We use HE soap.As if this hasn’t been bad enough, the entire motherboard seems to be glitching out. It throws a different code each load and sometimes won’t start. Other times it won’t stop. It isn’t safe to use when we aren’t home or are asleep, making the time delay feature useless. Last night the machine ran for 2.5 hrs on a 1hr 30 min estimated deep water wash. I finally turned off the power and let it drain out after it insisted it had 45 min for the last hour.... this thing is a total waste of money. Will never buy another Maytag!!!!

After replacing plastic parts that spin tub twice, now the computer is wasted. Purchased not even 3 yrs ago, now I have to buy a new washer because the computer system is not covered under warranty. REALLY!! The most expensive part. Not worth fixing. Never washed really dirty clothes when it wasnt broke down. Agree with the class action I would be in. Dont buy people and now I am off to pay to wash my clothes.

Recently purchased a washer from Home Depot. Machine is now on its 3rd repair. The wiring harness is fired. Could have caused a fire. Now they still will not replace and part is on order which will take 4 weeks to be in stock. I called Maytag and expressed my concerns to which they could not help me as every washer is theirs can be repaired. I really don’t understand what happened to making things right. Very frustrated that they will not repair or reimburse for that matter. Please refund my mom and pick it up.

We purchased a home one year ago. It has all Maytag appliances that were anywhere from one year old to two years old. The Neptune LE washer is not working as of today. This washer is supposed to be the top of the line, and because it is almost three years old, it is no longer under warranty. This washer will fill with water but does not spin or rinse the clothes. We paid a lot for this home and were so happy to get appliances that were all practically new. Now, we refused to have a repairman come and charge us lots of money to fix a washer that should not be broken. I have had washers run for 15 years and that was when I was washing clothes for 6 people, including cloth diapers for triplets! I will not buy any Maytag appliances. I will be getting an Amana or a Sears brand. Please, no one go buy a Maytag appliance.

We bought a Bravos washer 13 months ago and its been problem after problem. We had 6 service calls and the problems continue. From bearings being replaced to sensors to error codes, and now the washer drips water. This is the worst washer I ever owned.

I related my problems with a Maytag Bravos Washer a few days ago. A year and a half after I purchased the washer, it would no longer spin, among other problems. I was persuaded to call a repairman who diagnosed faulty electronic components which would cost me nearly $400 to repair. He confirmed that the washer was poorly built and strongly advised that I replace it. So, after paying him only $25 for a service call (he felt sorry for me), I did some research and bought a top-load agitator washer because the old-fashioned machines actually do their job - they wash clothes! I was duped by the high-efficiency claims, low-water-usage of the Maytag which didnt wash that well when it did work.

We bought a Maytag Dishwasher Model # MDB4709AWW4 about 2 years ago. Complete piece of junk. Just spent $350 on a new control panel. We called Maytag and they told us that our model wasnt under the recall for this issue. The old belief about the Maytag repairman not being busy is a lie. Avoid their products. They are poor quality.
