Purchased washing machine, with insurance that was offered to me 9/17/10. May 2013, control panel went. June 2013, dial switch went. July 2014 washer motor drive & belt drive had to be replaced. August 2015 is broke again. Will never buy Maytag again.

I purchased Maytag washer, as it was rated the best of the best at the store. First of all, Delicates cycle washes exactly like Normal. All my sweaters got ruined as the agitation is VERY HARD. I dont think the manufacture even knows what that cycle means! Absolutely awful! Theres no difference between Delicates and any other cycle!Second, Deep fill cycle. If you select off on that cycle the clothes get hardly damp. HOW can you wash hardly damp clothes???? If you go with Deep fill, the washer is supposed to weigh your laundry 1st and ONLY pour the water according to the weight. Well.... you can put only 5 small items and the washer fills all the way to the top! What the hell is this???? How can few items fill such a ginormous washer???? It doesnt work! Im so pissed and want this washer out of my laundry room!

I bought the Maytag Bravos because I was told it was top of the line and expected that Maytags reputation for quality would provide me with many years of dependable service without problem. Boy, was I taken for a ride! Unless you have a lot of money to spend, DO NOT buy a Maytag Bravos washing machine. After only 3.5 years of normal use (3-4 standard loads per week) and doing everything as suggested by the owners manual, my machine has developed a bad drum bearing. The cost to repair this bearing is $400 for parts and $200 for labor. In other words, I am forced to buy a new machine after ONLY 3.5 years of use. When I called Maytag customer service department to question them about my problem, their response was there are no recalls on your machine, so we cannot do anything for you. When I further questioned them about the lack of quality/dependability my machine provided, they again said, Sorry, the machine is out of the warranty period. Thank you for buying Maytag. If you buy one of these washing machines, you better have the extra money to buy an extended warranty.

Bought this Maytag Bravos Washer online from Lowe’s in the holiday season of December 2017 because my previous Maytag HE washer broke after 17 years. I have had nothing but issues with this washer right from the start. The clothes do not come clean as I find myself putting them through the wash cycle two or three times to have them washed and come somewhat clean. The clothes come out soaking wet that I have to put them through the rinse and spin cycle at least one or two more times. I called Lowe’s to complain about this washer and they said they only have a 30 day return policy and they would be happy to call for service for me. I told them it didn’t work from the start but they didn’t care. So now, sadly, I have a repairman coming this week to fix my new washer, And hopefully he can fix it that I can use it and it can properly wash clothes. I wish I would have her read the reviews on Consumer Affairs about this washer before purchasing this Maytag. Not happy with Maytag. I would have never bought it and bought a different brand. Codes appear on the face of the washer better. Nowhere in the manual that I had to personally download myself because it didn’t come with one. And oh did I mention that I need a step ladder to reach into the bottom of the tub? This washer should come yellow because it is definitely a lemon!

Not long after the 1 year warranty expired the washer started making noise while agitating. Long story short, the transmission is making the noise and should be replaced. It is a $200+ part. While it is still working ok, Im waiting for it to fail completely. Not good for an expensive washer. I dont think Ill buy Maytag again.

We bought a Maytag Neptune Washer and from day one in 7/10/2004, we have had trouble with the washer and Sears. First, it stopped working within eight months after we paid over 1300 for washer and master protection agreement. We called over and over from that day and was told we didnt show in their system as owning one and that we didnt get the master protection agreement. This went on and on until they finally told us on 8/2010 that they finally did find us in the system and that the agreement had ended a year before and would send someone (that was on 8/31/10) to do the washer. After having sat for almost six years, it reset itself and worked that day. I told the guy from A&E that it was the computer but that wasnt what he replaced so the washer went right back on in a month. So we had to save to have someone else come out from A&E to charge us 143.10 to say it would cost a total of 310.51 for the computer and that it probably wouldnt work for too long.

My son gave me a Maytag washer for Christmas 2013. I hate it. Sometimes it takes me 5 tries to get my clothes washed, and then it dont go all the way through the cycle. I have to constantly check on it. I hate it. Can you give me some tips on what may be causing this... Very disappointed.

Come on people are you serious! Im talking about all those people who give this washer great reviews or even mediocre reviews. This washing machine sucks! Thank God for the glass lid so you can see how terrible it washes. No water in this thing. Clothes that sit on the edge of the bowl do not agitate enough to be washed if there was water in the wash cycle. Bleach that you use in your white wash cycle is left over and gets onto your colored cycle if you wash it the color cycle next. I ** you not, mark my words that stains are left on clothes even in a cycle that has lots of water in it. If you think Im high or crazy take a look at your local Home Depot or Lowes store. Check the area for washing machines that are for sale that have been used. You will find this Maytag Bravos XL machine there. They look good and are practically brand new and they will be there for weeks on and because people return them if they get lucky to return them. I called my store and they refuse to take it back and told me to call the manufacturer. I did just that... I called the manufacturer and they told me they can send out a serviceman to check the washing machine. Butt...and a big butt, if they find nothing wrong with the washing machine that I will be charged a service fee. Bunch of **! For all of us that get stuck with this pile of garbage we can thank the tree huggers for trying to save the world with low water consumption water washing machines.

Maytag Bravos XL HE MVWB725BW. Washer was fantastic at first. Then about at 14 months old, the spin cycle starting making loud noises. Called Maytag, they promptly dispatched a repair service. The estimate to fix the washer was $531. The repair man stated Maytag does NOT seal the bearings from the factory. They only rely on a rubber washer, poor design. Maytag was unwilling to help with a washer with their name on it that failed at 14 months in any shape or fashion. She mentioned that Maytag has a 2-10 warranty on the motor only (which is non-existent, its electromagnetic). This will be the last Maytag that I ever intend to purchase.

Bought the washer last week. Balanced it per installation instructions. Washed several loads. The darn thing goes off balance almost routinely. Have rechecked the level on several occasions and found it LEVEL. Contacted Maytag. The lady I spoke with said to just use it and it will level itself out. So much for Maytag help! This will be the LAST Maytag product I buy.

Thinking it would be dependable and clean my clothes well, I spent $888 online for this washer. Normal use, HE detergent, only adults washing normal loads. After 4 mos., would not agitate, made loud clicking noise, filled and drained. Bought 3yr service plan, and company assigned still tried to charge a fee just to look at it. After 1 week of dirty clothes piling up, bought a Samsung combo, & had the Maytag hauled away. Money on the Maytag down the Toilet! Never again--Maytag, Amana, Whirlpool, etc. All made by same folks and pure trash!

This is in reference to Maytag washer MVW7232HW0 that broke after 5 months. Maytag sent a technician out who claimed we needed to replace 3 parts. We waited almost a month for the parts to come in just to have the technician say that didnt fix the problem. We have been waiting a 1.5 months for a resolution with nothing in sight. Now we have to either way another TWO months for another part, buy a new washer and get refunded for the old one (but WE would be responsible for the almost $300 price difference it now is), or wait for a new washer to come in stock and Maytag will replace it. However according to them there are no washers in stock for the foreseeable future. This company has been a joke to deal with. I have everything recorded and will take this further.

I purchased the Centennial Commercial Technology washer in June of 2013. In the last 2 1/2 years it has been repaired 3 times. The transmission had to be replaced twice. My household consist of two adults and definitely it is not overused or overloaded. The washer currently is not working. Consumer service cannot schedule an appointment for repair for 2 weeks. Previous repairs took approximately 2 weeks to schedule a service appointment and it took another week to two weeks to get the part in and washer repaired. I have decided to consider this an expensive learning experience and will not purchase Maytag products in the future!

I have a 6-month-old top load Bravo Washer. It has destroyed two bottom fitted king size sheets and 2 shirts that now have holes. It apparently slices the sheets during agitation. I have a service policy and called the service agency. The technician said there was nothing wrong with the machine, yet it literally ate 2 more items. Help! I need a solution to this problem.

First off. Maytag customer service is horrible. I purchased a Maytag washer & used it 8 time. It now doesnt rinse the soap out of my clothing or even clean anything. The washer isnt broken because thousands of other people with the same exact washer have written negative reviews everywhere online. The washer needs to be recalled & never sold again. Maytag is making people SICK and they dont care. My whole family had skin irritation because we didnt realize our new washer wasnt rinsing.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos Top Load washer 3 years ago from Home Depot. I have to admit this is the worst washer ever. The clothes does not appear to get clean enough for the amount of time it takes for the clothes to wash. The white clothes look dingy after a wash that I have gotten to the point of pouring an additional amount of bleach in the wash tub. The amount of water that is in the tub is next to nothing, I have to either add additional water or place no more than 20 pieces of clothing in the wash. This is sad and I regret that I wasted my money on this product and I do not recommend it. As soon as I get some extra money to throw away, this washer is going out with the bulk trash.

The washer machine is only 2 years old and its broke, at first it wouldnt spin and now it wont wash. Everyone is saying between the parts and service fee, it will cost 200 to 300 dollars or more to fix, most technicians wont repair them because they say that we may as well cut our loss and just buy a new one. No one likes these machines. I wish I would have known what a sham the washer machines were before purchasing.

Maytag washing machine Model # MHWE500VW - 2 control boards only last 4 years. I paid top dollar, $1229.00 to be exact and the parts and labor are $659.00 with no guarantee that there wont be further problems. Technician told me that this is typical of Maytag products. Contacted Maytag and they told me to take a hike and have a nice day. I will attempt to get some help from the place of purchase, Hamai Appliance, Maui, Hawaii.

Maytag is no longer a brand well designed for longevity. Dishwasher, 3 years old. Wash sequence lights start acting up and cannot select the normal sequence. Called to schedule a service call. Maytag service person unaware of any issue. Was informed a service call will cost $99 minimum and provide 15 minutes of diagnostics, $29 for each subsequent 15 minutes. $299.00 max. (All CND $). Those rates added to new parts and it would not be cost effective to repair a $600 washer. If this washer gets replaced, it will not be with a Maytag.

Bravos XL IS A JUNK. I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2 years at most and it is junk. I called. Told/complained them about the noise during wash cycle and spinning. The 10 years warranty is falsely. The 10 years warranty is covered only 2 components in the entire machine ???? and does not include the labor cost of $130.00 an hour. Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. ???? If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. ????

I suppose I am the lucky one in that the Maytag Bravos was given to me free. I took out a perfectly good Maytag standard agitator washing machine and replaced it with this several years old unit. What a mistake! I read the other reviews and see that I share the same problems. I always get a the oL fault as soon as it goes to do the final spin. So I have to reset and try again. Also I have seen the same kind of dirt on the clothing as others report. I dont know that I will waste my time contacting anyone about the fault code. I may just put the old one back in and scrap this thing!

Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... The Maytag Bravos Washer we bought had a stinky odor we couldnt get rid of. We found that clothes had gone over the basket and lodged in the filter above the pump; end of stinky smell. Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!

I bought a Maytag washer 3 years ago. Maytag gave me a number for one of their warranty service repair shops in my area. The first repair service doesnt even respond to my calls. The second repair service is a total ripoff. So in summary, Im stuck with a 3 year old washer that has a broken drive assembly that the warranty wont cover.

We purchased a Maytag MVWX655DW1 Bravos MCT washer in 2017 and I recall a sloshing sound during agitation. Its a high efficiency model and was okay for several months, I think. It began to make something of a clunking sound during agitation that was similar to the deceleration sounds when the spin cycle completes. It seems that is an indication that something is wrong. Clothes arent clean after washing - another reason to suspect a problem. I observed the wash cycles and noticed that some items dont even get wet during the wash cycle. The clunking is probably an indication of the type of failure but I couldnt find anything other than someone else asking the same question when I did an internet search. Expected performance is shown in a company video with water sloshing during agitation. Thats the key take-away. My basket moves back and forth an inch or two during agitation and makes a clunking sound at each direction change. Water isnt sloshing through clothing and some of the garage rags that were once my clothes probably just needed a good washing. I suppose that even cleaning the washer isnt accomplishing much. The spin cycle is actually impressive. I load the washer evenly and find the completed loads with a towel or shirt evenly covering the clothes pulled to the basket below. Unfortunately, thats probably the only part of the process cleaning anything.The enclosure says its designed and assembled in U.S.A. and, unfortunately, speaks to our manufacturing ability. Some of the engineers Ive worked with over the years suggested areas to inspect. I was able to use my phone camera to look under the unit and noted that it is controlled by a main drive motor and a little synchronous motor with a linkage that Im guessing changes agitation direction. Both are made in China. Ive considered repairing it and just pulled the wash plate for inspection and found nothing beyond the difficulty of pulling the wash plate. Probably an issue with the drive assembly and a few hundred dollars in parts to fix. Ive also had input from someone about the cost of replacing the control board. I grew up with TV commercials of the Maytag repairman with nothing to repair in the world of reliable, American products. Its disappointing to find that is no longer the case. The low tech GE washers weve used all our lives were old and ugly when they left our house. Not defective, a few drops of oil below or worn finish but still working. It really is a disappointment to look at where we are today. It didnt have to collect samples on Mars or deliver orders in a self-driving vehicle. A reliable washer to clean dirty clothes is all we hoped for.

Prior to purchase, I did my due diligence and read reviews about this washing machine. Apparently, they were written by Maytag employees, because this washing machine has been a major disappointment. Yes, it tangles clothes and sheets, but I feel that is to be expected since it is HE and uses less water. I will give it that and I dont have to dry nearly as long. But that is where my positivity ends. Clothes dont always come out totally clean. And then there is the issue with the horrific grinding noise. The machine has been making a progressively louder, angry, grinding noise with a high-pitch end note. And as of today, a horn type noise has started. Lovely.I anticipate the machine is on its last legs and I have only had it a few years. I spent too much money on this and feel like I have been misguided and, quite honestly, ripped off by Maytag.

My husband and I purchase both Maytag Washer and Dryer 7 month ago 2017, because we have purchase Maytag washer before and were very happy with it. But this new Washer does not clean clothes at all, it is worthless. We will not purchase another Maytag Washer again.

The Maytag Neptune FAV6800AWW Washer has to be the crappiest product I have ever bought. I bought it brand new and hardly ever used it. The first time it broke it was luckily under warranty, although we had to pay for the repair man to install it. It took two new circuit boards before it was fixed. A few months later, the circuit board went again, and it was conveniently for Maytag now out of warranty. The repair man told us that their company never carried these washers because from the get go they had a ton of problems. He said that the odds of it breaking again were great and that we would be better off putting the money into a new washer.I dont understand how the company, in good conscience, could continue to sell a product to consumers that they knew was faulty. It was not a cheap washer and I have never been so disappointed in my life. You would think they would have had a mass recall or, knowing how many problems consumers were having with the product, offer so much money towards a new one.I laugh at the commercials where the Maytag man was bored because their product never broke I could have kept that man busy for months!

I have a Maytag front load washer, and it has been flashing codes since day one, smells like mold, does not spin water out, and at first, all Maytag could say is, Im using too much soap, the wrong soap, loading too full, and I have it on a stand that is sold with the washer that they dont recommend, after I paid $300.00 for it. Now, it is flashing an E3 code, and will not finish a cycle at all. Maytag wants money to fix the problem that thousands of consumers have, after paying over $1,000 for the machine. I will never purchase another Maytag product, for as long as I live.

I had another Maytag washer. It lasted 21 months. BB got me the BravosXL to replace it. I have had it 6 years. It is a piece of junk. Goes out of balance all the time. We are 2 ladies and don’t have heavy clothes to wash. I am washing now. I have put It through a wash cycle. The soap is still on the clothes. I am on my THIRD rinse cycle and there is still soap on the clothes. And I used less soap. Never again MAYTAG.

Maytag Dishwasher purchased for $634 on 7-6-12 from Lowes. Control panel malfunctioned in August 2014. Started leaking in April 2012. From the online comments, I am trashing this machine. It is not worth fixing it and having it malfunction again. Maytag will not say anything about this, only offers a repair person out to fix. I am very disappointed that my hard earned money purchased a sub standard machine. Maytag used to mean reliability. NO more.

Maytag Top Loading Washer-We bought this machine a little over a year ago and it is one of the worst products weve ever purchased. More often than not clothes barely get wet and then wad up into a twisted mess which stops the machine. Ive had to restart a load over and over. And, the clothes are not as clean as they were from our former Maytag washer which lasted 14 years. The new washer has to be cleaned at least once a month or it smells. We purchased this washer from HHGregg and they are no longer in business or I would complain to them about selling faulty products. I dont know why the manufacturer decided to remove the agitator from new models. What a mistake! We have decided to get rid of this washer and buy another brand. No more Maytag (or Whirlpool) products... ever!

Brand New 2019 Model 465 Washer and like others are saying is a piece of junk as they do not fill the drum with enough water even on the Deep Water fill option. The laundry does not circulate and nothing gets clean. Maytag is really poorly designed and manufactured these days and a complete Rip Off!

I bought a high capacity Maytag Bravos washing machine, thinking it would be better than the ones that shred your clothes around the center post. Wrong. You still have to wrap your clothes around the edges as if there were a post, and even then the machine will become unbalanced (after much thumping and crashing), causing it to stop, which forces you to redistribute the weight, sometimes several times in one load of wash! I called the company and got nowhere -- I wont say nowhere fast because it took forever to get nowhere. I do not recommend this machine.

This one of the worst purchases I have ever made! Paid over $850 in March, 2015 for the Maytag Bravos XL. At first, we experienced leaking and now there is a terrible banging and clanging noise! Had an appliance repairman come to see what was going on. Apparently it needs a hub replacement and bearing replacement. Was told by two companies that it is not cost effective to fix it due to the amount of parts and labor.Aside from this major issue, I never felt that the clothes came out clean. Many times, the clothes would come out with detergent all stuck to the clothes and had to be rewashed. The softener and bleach dispensers are not removable and it is nearly impossible to get all the way into the cup in order to clean the mildew that builds up. The fabric softener dispenser always had gummed up chunks.Called Maytag several times to no avail. Was basically told - too bad its out of warranty. I have never heard of a washer giving out after 3 years! The worst part is that I have searched many places on the Internet and apparently the bearing problem seems to be a common issue with this washer. I purposely bought an American made product and am extremely disappointed in not only this product, but the company as a whole. The customer service department is awful. I will NEVER purchase Maytag or Whirlpool ever again. They lost my business for putting a terrible product on the market and refusing to acknowledge flaws. Interesting that this model is now discontinued, but they refuse to acknowledge the problems. Stay away from Maytag and/or Whirlpool!

We purchased the HE commercial brand for our family of 7. It has been running mostly fine for about 2 1/2 years. It started making a horrible grinding noise about 3 months ago. It was getting worse and worse. I decided to google the issue and discovered there was a common problem with a nut falling off the bottom. I leaned the washer back and found the nut on the floor, right below the center of the pulley. I reattached it by removing the pulley guard which had been getting cut by the loose and wobbly pulley, put some superglue on the nut and reattached it to the bottom. NO MORE NOISE!! Im willing to bet that this has caused slippage of the pulley, poor performance and many other issues. Maytag should do something about it.

I bought this washer almost 5 yrs ago and oil has been leaking from it. Called company who sent a tech to my home and declared it a total loss. All he did was tilt it for maybe 1 minute to determine this. I am out a washer. Nothing from this horrible company. They quit making the washer but cant even compensate the owner with anything to purchase a replacement. Will keep passing the word.

Bravos XL Like so many others Ive read, this is a terrible product. Washer constantly goes off on unbalanced load. After 14 months, the plastic tub disintegrated. Maytag tried to sell me the service and extend a warranty for $300 also. Just like all the other reviews. Wow, has Maytag gone downhill.

I got no help whatsoever. I will never buy in Maytag again. My washer has had 3 problems in 1 year. They tell you that they will send someone out the next day but they dont come until 4-5 days later.

This is a wonderful washing machine. For cleaning clothes it does exactly what you expect from a washer. We have had 2 Neptune front loaders. They, however, have a couple flaws I dont want to live with again and will be looking for one that has come up with the solution to them. One, the bearings on them need replaced on a periodic basis or it sounds like a 747 taking off. Two - the front gasket around the barrel has a mold problem no matter how much you try to keep the thing clean. Other than that, these machines perform fantastic.

Purchased less than a year ago, Machine stopped working. Approved service company says no error codes visible must be ok. Machine still does not work month later, service again does not show up for call, following month same. Its still in warranty but they claim it is fine. Error code disappear right after popping-up no storage of error codes.. I had to buy small washer to manage home. Really bad choice of product. Will not use this brand again.

Maytag Centennial Washer - If a wash load becomes off balanced, the machine stops. No signal or buzzer or anything to alert me to this. It happens all the time and wastes a lot of my time. Here I am thinking that the wash is going fine only to find out 2 hours later that it has stopped. Anytime I wash more than 3 items, this happens. I will never buy one again and I am telling everyone not to buy. I will be purchasing a good old fashion washer with a dial gauge so I can spin it any time I needed.

Eighteen months after purchasing the Maytag Bravos, I had to have the motherboard replaced. Maytag offered nothing except a list of names for repairmen in my area. Now another 18 months later, the washer gets out of balance (this is a self-balancing machine, supposedly) at least three or four times for every load. Since it is all electronic, you cant select a spin cycle without the machine adding more water into the tub. Again, this does not self-correct the out of balance problem. Trying to balance the cloths several times during a wash cycle extends the length of time it takes to wash one load on average two hours. Maytag offers no customer service or customer support. Im sure their call center is not located in any part of the United States. I will never purchase another Maytag appliance.

Our new washing machine (Maytag Maxima XTLM Front Load Steam Washer & Dryer w/ Pedestals) has developed a loud knocking while running which the authorized whirlpool repair provider said was due to internal ball bearings. He said that the washing machine caused the pedestal to become warped and the only way to stop the knocking was to replace the pedestal. Whirlpool refuses to replace the pedestal saying that the pedestal must have come that way or was installed incorrectly or was overloaded. There are only two of us and we never overloaded at all. The knocking started several months after the installation. If the pedestal was defective (came that way), why wont Whirlpool replace it under their warranty?

Purchased a Maytag top loader. Hand wash clothes leaves a soap residue on clothes. Called Maytag they sent service out. Service tech said (off the record) the design of the machine does not produce enough water, but reported that machine works. Called Maytag again and they said they would need to send out a Master technician. So I set up another appointment (had to take more time off from work) with the Master technician. It was the same guy that came the week before! He didnt bother coming in to look at it! Called Maytag again and they said they would only be able to schedule a service call and if they come out and there is nothing wrong with machine, I would have to pay for the service call!!! I asked for a supervisor and explained why would I do that and he said they would send out another service technician from another service company and I wouldnt have to pay for it. He also offered me an extended warranty for a year for free. Thats great, but my machine is not fixed. This service technician said (off the record too) top loader machines are no good, do not buy, not enough water. He was there less than 5 minutes. Just got off phone with Maytag again and they can no longer do anything else, that the machine is working. I explained to the gentleman that yes the machine fills with a little bit of water and drains the water but it does NOT clean the items! Not going to let this happen to someone else. Plan on spreading the word to everyone to NOT BUY A MAYTAG TOP LOAD WASHING MACHINE. DOES NOT CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES. CONSTANT RESIDUE LEFT ON CLOTHES!

I changed from another HE brand to this model. No comparison. This machine can do twice the work... but double the time. My former machine was quiet while this one is not. Maybe I got spoiled to the former brand, but Ive never heard so much noise from a washing machine! Ive always thought Maytag meant quality but I think they may have missed the boat here. I tried reviewing on their site but when I gave it two stars, I got an error message. Clever, Maytag.

I bought a Maytag washing machine September 2017. The lid is cracked. We were told by the repairman today that this is a common problem. The quote for a new lid was over $300. Of course we are not going to spend that much for just a lid. We will be buying a new washing machine and will not be buying a Maytag.

My old Maytag is still working after 20 years but my husband surprised me with a new pair! Washers is just pure junk. Not enough water to hardly wet the clothes. They just rub together and get worn out looking, towels are rough and not soft but my biggest complaint is the AWFUL wrinkles! I have to iron everything! Only had it 3 days, called Menards and asked if we could return for an exchange or upgrade and they said no. If this is the best American Made has to offer, then I will look at the Samsung! Shame on you Maytag. Not one good review on here and you do nothing to restore confidence in American Made. I will spread the word - NEVER by a Maytag or an appliance from Menards. Neither one stands behind the piece of junk!

Bravos X high efficiency... efficient at not cleaning your clothes, efficient at ruining clothes, sheets, towels, may be efficient at being a boat anchor. Maytag offers nothing. Bought a new Maxima washer in January. Worked for one week. Got error codes and electronics board shut down. Contract serviceman says board should have reset after turning off. Ordered new board and it is missing one of the electrical wire connector plugins. Maytag/Whirlpool is having a problem with these boards.Three weeks without a washer. Two days off work. When it goes out again, days off work will be close to what I paid for it. Thinking I may cut my future losses and buy another brand when in-transit board goes out.

We purchased this machine (Bravos XL top load washer) in August and its been nothing short of a disaster. It doesnt clean anything. Within two washes my cloth diapers were unusable, loaded with ammonia and stains. Our camping clothes wreaked of smoke. I tried multiple cycles, more detergent, less detergent, larger loads, smaller loads. Doesnt matter. It doesnt clean. I called customer service within a week and waited 6 weeks for a service call. Into third trimester of pregnancy and recovering from an MVA, I was washing soiled clothing by hand in bathtub desperate for help. I only wish Id known about their 30 day money back guarantee. After many calls, no shows and cancelled appointments, the first tech comes. He tells me the machine is fine. They just dont clean well. Hes not surprised. I call the appliance shop, they said the same thing. That they wouldnt have sold me the machine if they knew I had dirty laundry to wash. (Who washes clean laundry?). They wont help us. We call Maytag back. They send another tech. He says the same thing. Tells us to keep complaining to Maytag. I call again and they tell me that if I want a service tech, I have to pay. Theyve deleted all my feedback from their social media site and refuse to provide any assistance. The machine is nice looking and makes big promises but thats where it ends. Save your money. Youll get better results with your grandmas washboard.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer 2 years ago. Theres not enough water in there, and the clothes get so tangled that Ive had holes in them. Ive had technicians come out several times and they just say that its the water saving feature of the washer. I put it on the wrinkle control setting and the clothes come out ridiculously wrinkled. All of these problems are due to the water saving feature. I absolutely hate this washer and would never recommend it. I want my old washer back with the agitator and enough water in there to actually wash clothes.

I purchased my Maytag HE washer from Home Depot. I immediately started getting spots on my clothes that looked like bleach had taken the color out. After trying 3 times to get a tech to my house, he came in and looked at it a few minutes. He said nothing was wrong and to run a cup of water through it. I called back the next day (5/17/11) and told them Im still having problem. They told me to call the appliance team and have a different tech come out. I called and left a message. No one called me back. I called the next day and asked for a supervisor (Kitty), who gave me specific numbers to call. I called an appliance repair, who was leaving on vacation and gave me yet another person to call. Finally, I got Scott out to look at the washer on 5/27/11. He said the only thing he sees wrong is it got very sudsy, so use less soap. I started using the smallest amount of soap and diluting it with water, running the washer on the bulky cycle and running water through the machine if I ever used bleach. Did it solve the problem? No. Finally in December 2011, the machine ruined a very expensive shirt. I called Maytag and was informed that if a tech comes out, I would have to prove the machine has failed or they would charge me. I have contacted Maytag and informed them of everything, including all of the damaged clothes. I was told they could not compensate for consumer error. I informed them the only error I made was buying a Maytag product, and I will never make that expensive error again.

I could not get parts for Maytag Model MHWE200XW00 Type 832A as the Whirlpool does not provide after sales service. I purchased the new washer in 2010 and lasted for just 4 years. I believe they guarantee supply of spare parts (Inner Basket, Outer Tub and Rubber Boot) for 10 years and more.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top load washing machine from Sears in 2011. In January 2015, the machine stops at the spin cycle and wont continue the full process. The lid light comes on and blinks red. The machine made a loud grinding noise. A technician from Sears has been to my home 4 times in a month but unable to fix the problem. I have to take my clothes to the outside laundry. I have a protection warranty but it ends in a week. Im frustrated. Maytag Bravos sucks.

Deceptive company and won’t stand behind their product! Purchased brand new washer. Identified and reported noise that I can hear upstairs in my house while washing to technician. Changed a part, not related to the noise. Called back out. He admitted he could hear the noise. Whirlpool engineering department says normal. Sorry, I should never hear a clicking noise upstairs with two closed doors and 150 feet between me and the washer. Will be going back to Samsung next time.

I would like to know which individuals in the dept of energy thought this water saving feature was a novel idea. What use is a giant washer tub if it doesn’t have enough water. We have had this machine for too long. It starts banging and making tremendous amounts of noise. We have balanced it and tried loading it in different ways but when it starts to spin it apparently tries to even the load somehow that results in very loud noises and movement of the washer in the laundry room. Terrible machine. If we could afford it we would trash this one in a heartbeat and buy a different brand.

Purchased new about 3 years ago, doesnt clean, ties clothes in knots, leaves white spots from softener that doesnt get wet sometimes after cycle, some areas are still dry after untying. Now error code 51 keeps appearing, service man 4 times replaced rps sensor as directed, nothing changes. Need a chain to drag behind truck, no technical support from Maytag or whirlpool. Old ones of 20 years still worked good, gave to niece. Lucky her.

I had a 1 1/2 yr old front load washer. I was worried the filter might have a lot of dog hair in it so I called to just have it looked out. I couldnt remember if I had an extended warranty. Thought it would be listed with Maytag. They said no. I said OK. They recommended A+ to come out and said it would be $60.00. That was OK because I wanted to prevent any problems with the washer in the future. I thought them checking it would be a preventative measure. The tech came out opened it up said there wasnt much hair or any other problems. Put it back together, plugged it in. There was a Big popping noise and smoke! Washer no longer worked. The man said doesnt make sense but he would fix it and not charge me for parts etc. I called Maytag. They refused to do anything since it was out of warranty even though they recommended this company and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it in the beginning.After about 2 months he still couldnt fix it. About this time I found papers for a warranty with the Home Depot. The repairman said he works with Home Depot as well. Told me to contact them but I needed to pay $120.00 to him and file a claim and then he would fix it. Apparently he does not do service work for Home Depot. They sent out other repairmen. They tried to fix it but apparently it was deemed unserviceable he blew the mother board. Home Depot said they would replace or reimburse me the amount I paid for washer. Then a machine called said they were sending me a check. We will probably never buy another Maytag! Even though I want to buy American if they wont help or stand behind their products. I now have an LG we bought from Pacific Sales with a cheaper warranty and much better customer service.

I have only had this machine a few months and am completely dissatisfied. It sounds like a jet taking off and uses so little water. The clothing does not come clean and wrinkles are close to impossible to iron out.

Maytag Bravos Model MVWB750wq1 - After only two years, the washing machine finally died. The machine was on a f51 code - hardly anything was in the washer. I also smelled a burning smell - well, that was the pump. The machine was not pumping water out. After the repairman came out, the contract company is saying they are not covering this because there was rust reported by the repairman. How can bearings inside a washing machine be rusted? This is a washing machine, isnt it? How are they building machines that deal with water and rust?! I will never buy another Maytag product - thats a promise. I spent over 2000.00 on this set. Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I bought a Maytag Commercial Technology Washer and a Bravos XL MCT Maytag Commercial Technology Dryer in July 2018. On April 14, 2020 the control board went out and Maytag will not replace it. It’s going to cost $463.00 to get it repaired. I do not like this washer because it does not fill with enough water to get my clothes clean even with the deep fill cycle turned on. My clothes still smell nasty after they are dried with scented dry sheets. I will never buy another Maytag product, because they are cheap made. Maytag advertises as American made. Fact is they are assembled in America but the parts come from China and Thailand.

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! I bought a Maytag Washer in October of 2012. So far we have had to have repairs to it (4) times. The motor falls out. We are very dissatisfied with the product. We have always purchased Maytag products and fee we should get a new washer. The warranty is up in one month. If there is anything you can do to help it would be appreciated. Went from an old simple Maytag to newer model, but still somewhat basic compared to others. However still getting used to the water saver feature in that getting in the right amount of detergent as not to have it set on my clothes and having to put through another rinse cycle and a more slimmer agitator. But do like the Maytag brand.

It has only been 5 years and we had a problem with the lid, now it leaks on the floor and most of all it has been rusting on the lid, the sides and rusting around the bleach port. Rusting on the top edge of the outside metal skin. I am not happy with this product at all. The serial number CV0870202. Model number is MVWB800VQZ. It is a quiet series purchased on 2009. I am not happy with the quality of this washer and I will not buy another Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag washer from Badcock. Within 7 months the control board went out. It was down for nearly 6 months. I had to use a laundromat until I finally rented one from another place. Now again months later the control board is out again (F2F3 Call Service). Due to long wait time luckily I have another warranty but am being told I have to wait 2 weeks before a tech can come look at my washer, and that they wont have a loaner or cant just get me a new washer being the problem is THE SAME! Spent hours on hold only to be told to wait AGAIN! I would NEVER recommend dealing with this company. They used to be top of the line, but clearly not anymore.

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

I have been using washing machines for 50 years. This is by far the worse piece of engineering I have ever used! On deep water wash, I would expect my clothes to be covered by water. I actually have to add by hand, four buckets of water and even then the clothes just float on top. The agitator NEVER pulls the clothes down to the bottom of the tub, they just move back and forth. The clothing that sits on top of the water, never gets totally submerged and is still on the top of the pile when the wash cycle is done. I will NEVER buy any MAYTAG product again. Lowes wont help me. I want to sell it, but in all good conscience, I cannot unload this on another person. I cant even feel good about donating it as it does not work...It is Junk!!!! Shame on Maytag for selling a scam. If there was any integrity in this company, someone would contact me and give me a better model.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. I bought this machine about a year ago. It does not wash your clothes good. Stains nor smell does not come out. It makes this god awful noise that can be heard throughout the house... I will never buy another energy efficient washer again. My Bravos is supposed to save money and be environment friendly, but when you have to wash clothes more than once to get them clean, theres no savings. Ive tried different detergents, cleaned the washer, rinsed twice, added vinegar, baking soda and everything imaginable to get the clothes smelling fresh without any luck. I have had several items ruined because the bleach dispenser pours onto dry laundry. Im disgusted.

Im an 78 year old man, married in 1962. In all the years and two kids we have had just three Maytag washers. To me the gold standard of quality washers. When the motor went out in our 15 year old Washing machine I considered replacing the motor, which is well within my capability. I am a journeyman industrial machine repairman formerly with Ford Motor car company before retirement.Instead, my wife and I bought a Maytag top loader high efficiency washer from Best Buy. I was skeptical when I examined the new machine with paddles instead of the agitator. Trusting that Maytag had engineered a water saving washer using paddles, I made the very poor decision to buy it. I regret not replacing the motor in my old machine. Boy was I wrong. Given the chance I would trade my new machine for the old in a heartbeat...The old machine washed everything we could throw at it. The new machine wont wash anything to my satisfaction. The bedding deep fill cycle is the only one capable of a passable job. Even then I would like a soak cycle which, in my opinion, would vastly improve results. In all I would characterize this as a total engineering failure. Why Maytag would allow this POS to be sold, where the reputation of Maytag is totally destroyed, is beyond my comprehension.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo XL washer in 2015 under the understanding it has a 10 year warranty. Well it’s 2020 and it starting leaking. Called customer service and lost 3hours of my life waiting for a person. Keep in mind I’m pretty handy and work on spa, and pools. And can troubleshoot things like this. I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. So they represent themselves And their warranty falsely. Buyer beware. Maytag is shady. I’m guessing Whirlpool is part of them so please do your research before you buy. 1. Customer service doesn’t exist with them. (3hrs hold times.) 2. Misleading warranty coverage. 3. Will not call you back.4. Try to extort more money from you. I, too, have had a lousy experience with this washer – it does not correctly sense the amount of clothing in the load, and often fails to get everything wet. Once the cycle starts, it does not necessarily pull everything into the water. You must ball each item up around the center or have sleeves and legs of clothing end up very twisted. Clothing is often very wrinkled and I do not feel that enough water is used to achieve clean clothes. I did get a good response from Maytag, who sent a repairman free of charge after the one year warranty period. He was very gruff and condescending – implying that I am buying the wrong kind of clothing. He reset the washer which improved the water levels, but now it is back to its old tricks. Hate, hate, hate this washer. Now it is failing to start unless lid is slammed shut! May get a new one in a black Friday deal, but have to figure out how to ditch this one while retaining my integrity/honesty to buyer.

Bought this because it’s American made. It seems to be very glitchy. If you don’t use the detergent drawer it always flashes low detergent. The quick wash leaves soap on clothes. It acts up and leaves clothes too wet. No buzzer to tell you when it’s done. Have to hold button for 3 seconds to start. You can’t just hit button and walk away. Then wait for it to sense the load first to make sure it starts. Very expensive model.

Purchased a Maytag Bravos washer model MTW6700TQ ON 5/5/2008. Also purchased extended service agreement. This washing machine was only five years old when it started rusting on the top of the body where you load the clothes and fill the detergent. Not in a million years did I expect a washing machine to be rust-prone. Its a washing machine. The service contract doesnt cover dust, mold, rodent damage, and RUST (like rust is an external source). When I called Maytag they were not surprised. They said the life expectancy of their product could be as little as a year and a half. Regardless of the extended maintenance expense I now must throw this piece of junk away. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG. This time I am buying an LG.

Maytag Bravos Series 300 - I bought this machine less than a year ago. There is an awful smell coming from the machine that I never smelled from any other washer I have owned. The clothes do not look, feel or smell clean, and my towels are ripped. It is an extra large washer, yet when blankets are put in the machine bounces and shifts. After reading all the reviews, it seems I am not alone in my concern with a machine that was not only expensive, but was told it is a great product. Maytag needs to do the right thing and recall this machine.

Maytag Bravos XL - I am having the same problem as everyone else with this washer. My clothes do not get clean and they smell. Maytag advertises tumbling, rubbing action to get clothes clean but my washer does neither. The clothes lay in the bottom of the tub and never move except when in the spin cycle. I am going to file a complaint with Maytag and if they do not refund my money am going to file a DTPA claim against them for false, misleading and deceptive advertisement. They will have to pay up to three (3) times the purchase price of the washer. Maybe everyone else should consider the same.

A company who sells a washer that makes washcloths/towels smell musty as you take them clean from the drawer should be ashamed and refund everyones money!!! I have always love Maytag/Whirlpool products until this piece of trash washer. My husband, who is retired from Maytag, gets a very nice deal when buying their products under the VIP program. However, how nice a deal is it when you have musty/sour smelling towels after washing??? Ridiculous! Seems that when the washer went to no agitator and water/electricity saving they forgot what the purpose of a washing machine was. Purchased washer March 2017 and had to get it repaired twice by the end of 2018. The top loader even with agitator does not clean clothes very well. The repairman said not to fill the washer above halfway so I can only wash about 4 pair of my husbands heavy soiled work jeans. I won’t buy another Maytag.

Unreliable! When you push start, it goes into sensing mode and starts to fill. You walk away thinking it will run to find out an hour later it is still in sensing mode! Wasting electricity, your time and talk about stress! You have a 50-50 chance it will go on and run the load, but if you dont have time to stand there and watch it. FORGET THIS WASHER. Also does not clean as the old agitator washer, which I luckily still have, yeah. Always read reviews before buying anything. Nice website.

Our control panel just went out...purchased in November 2015. From reading reviews it appears our only option is to purchase a new control panel and hope for another two years. Ours (MDB7749SBM3 Dishwasher) was purchased from Sears and was not cheap. When is Maytag going to recall this panel? I read reviews that this problem goes back to 2011.

This machine is awful and a waste of money. Don’t trust the reviews with “workarounds.” That’s crazy! Doing laundry is difficult enough in my house so I need to add extra work? And they don’t work anyway. Water is barely 1-2 inches deep. But the real issue is the clothes don’t come out clean. Of course, they smell clean because all the soap hasn’t rinsed out but they are not. I spilled coffee on a white tee. Dabbed it up with a wet napkin. Threw it in the laundry. Did whites and added extra bleach and extra water because I know how much this machine sucks. Not only are my clothes yellow but the coffee stain is still there. I can’t imagine how it will wash tough stains like blood and wine and grease. I cannot even believe they are allowed to rip people off with this product.

Maytag Bravo model MVWB750WQO. Bought this washer in 2009 for 1300 thinking it would last at least 10 years! Wrong! I loved it until a few months ago when it started making VERY LOUD noises during final spins. Sounded like the house was going to take off. Then today it started leaking water. Repairman said it needed a drum, seal and gasket. Would have cost 700-800 to fix. Needless to say we bought a new washer today, and it wasnt a Maytag!! For that much money I was expecting the washer to last a long time!

I paid $958 + tax for a Maytag Bravos washing machine in August 2008. I live by myself, so the machine is not overused. Nevertheless, it began to sound like a jet airplane during the spin cycle. And then in May of 2012, it failed with error code F51, catastrophic failure. The machine was not even four years old. I called a certified Maytag repairman. In less than 5 minutes, he told me the cost to repair would be about $900, and then he charged $115 for the service call! A call to Maytag resulted in Im sorry, there is nothing we can do.

My 20 yr old Kenmore washer broke last month so I replaced it with a Maytag I bought from Lowes. I wanted a simple washer that would maybe last 10 years. The Maytag has a sensor for everything. So you can’t fill the washer, it determines how much water to use and it never fills enough to cover the clothes. It doesn’t agitate really. It’s more like a slow on & off movement. It does everything in an on & off way. The water fill goes on & off, it “washes” on & off. Even the spin is a spin, slow to almost stop - spin again - almost stop - spin again. It also stops filling if you open the lid, I tried to let some water fill before adding clothes (so the liquid detergent could dilute a bit) but every time I opened the top there was no water in the drum, I heated the water running and the drum was wet but it wouldn’t gill at all. I think it only puts water enough to “sense” the clothes have been soaked. I will call Lowes and try to return it.

You get what you pay for, you can go cheaper with no frills and watch how clothes wash, also run afresh through the washer as recommended. Also use the correct amount of detergent. Maytag isnt as good as it once was but it is the top of Whirlpools line of companies.

Bravos x - Ok so I was checking on my washing machine balance which is off. I came across the reviews and find how horrible the machine is! Grinding at last cycle, and not wringing out clothes on some loads. I thought grinding and wringing out was to be that way since it did it from day one. I thought I just needed to adjust clothes to wring out. Balance was taking out some clothes but it was put in properly. Boy was I wrong. Im so pissed after reading all your reviews. Im going to contact my daughters who works for attorneys about false advertisement and selling something they know is crap.

Do not buy a Maytag Washer. I had a Maytag for 25 yrs with only 1 repair in its 23rd yr. When it finally retired at age 25, we replaced it with another Maytag assuming it would also last long. No chance. We had only 2 good yrs. Now, at 2 yrs old, it is so so loud during the spin cycle that it sounds like an airplane (757) is flying overhead at 50 ft above the roof... No way can we possibly use the washer if anyone in the house is sleeping. Repairs cost more than the initial price of the washer. Please do yourself a huge favor and buy another brand. There are too many complaints about Maytag to even consider purchasing one. Not worth the aggravation!!

My wife and I bought a Maytag Bravos at the suggestion of a store employee at Lowes. Since we have owned it, I have seen the reviews and the washer has been a total let down. We have experienced all the same complaints. Loud noise, door lock not working, not enough water in the drum to wash clothes, and the bearings going out and it doesnt work. NEVER will we buy a MAYTAG again. To the scrap yard I go today. Thanks MAYTAG for wasting my money. Thanks LOWES for recommending this garbage.

I bought the Maytag Bravos XL HE washing machine because I needed a machine that could handle large loads to save me time doing multiple loads for everyday items like jeans to towels, blankets as well as delicates. This machine is a COMPLETE disappointment. It does NOT get anything clean unless I wash it 4 times with bleach and pre-stain 4 times. You know what bleach does to your clothes! The water level is so low I can only wash 4 things at a time and I still have to wash additional times. It doesnt get the smell or food stains out. Not a good choice for an active family or person. Ive had clothes come out with suds still on them after washing three times. I use less than the recommended amount of HE detergent. There was a $250 agitator washer by GE at Lowes but it was smaller - how I wish I bought it. These impeller HE machines dont work. My advice steer clear of this Maytag product unless you like to waste your time re-doing loads of laundry.

This washer is awful. We had repair guy out within year one 3 times. Changed the door gasket because it was a known problem. That did not fix problems. We have to drain and clean out hard to reach filter monthly, socks get caught in drain filter constantly. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Hate it.
