Maytag Lavadora Garantia
Maytag home products include a range of powerful kitchen and laundry appliances and HVAC systems that are built to last. On the rare occasion that a broken machine derails your daily routine, you need a warranty to cover your Maytag product.
Manufacturer€s warranty € This warranty only covers appliances and electronics manufactured under a specific brand. For example, Maytag appliances or parts may be covered for several years under a Maytag manufacturer€s warranty.
Extended warranty € Manufacturers and third-party providers often offer extended warranties, which are extended service contracts that protect you after the Maytag appliance warranty expires.
Home warranty € This is a service contract that covers regular wear and tear of major home appliances regardless of brand name or age. It€s different than home insurance, as it doesn€t cover events that may damage an appliance. Instead, it€s meant to help pay for repairs that are anticipated in the long term.
Homeowners insurance € Homeowners insurance is a required form of insurance coverage that is specific to structural damage or property loss caused by theft, natural disasters, and specific occurrences.
LIMITED WARRANTY
For one year from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, the Maytag brand of Whirlpool Corporation or Whirlpool Canada LP (hereafter €Maytag€) will pay for factory specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Service must be provided by a Maytag designated service company. This limited warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada and applies only when the major appliance is used in the country in which it was purchased. Outside the 50 United States and Canada, this limited warranty does not apply. Proof of original purchase date is required to obtain service under this limited warranty.
ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY
This limited warranty does not cover:
1. Service calls to correct the installation of your major appliance, to instruct you on how to use your major appliance, to replace or repair house fuses, or to correct house wiring or plumbing.
2. Service calls to repair or replace appliance light bulbs, air filters, or water filters. Consumable parts are excluded from warranty coverage.
3. Repairs when your major appliance is used for other than normal, single-family household use or when it is used in a manner that is contrary to published user or operator instructions and/or installation instructions.
4. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, fire, flood, acts of God, improper installation, installation not in accordance with electrical or plumbing codes, or use of consumables or cleaning products not approved by Maytag.
5. Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, chips, or other damage to the finish of your major appliance, unless such damage results from defects in materials or workmanship and is reported to Maytag within 30 days from the date of purchase.
6. Any food loss due to refrigerator or freezer product failures.
7. Costs associated with the removal from the home of your major appliance for repairs. This major appliance is designed to be repaired in the home and only in-home service is covered by this warranty.
8. Repairs to parts or systems resulting from unauthorized modifications made to the appliance.
9. Expenses for travel and transportation for product service if your major appliance is located in a remote area where service by an authorized Maytag servicer is not available.
10. The removal and reinstallation of your major appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location or is not installed in accordance with published installation instructions.
11. Major appliances with original model/serial numbers that have been removed, altered, or cannot be easily determined. This warranty is void if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from your major appliance. The cost of repair or replacement under these excluded circumstances shall be borne by the customer

For years I wanted a top loading Maytag washer. Last year I bought one at the cost of £720 plus VAT. Started using it last July and in November this year it broke down. The company I bought it from said, Sorry, youre out of our warranty... Really! Here’s some people who might fix it. Eventually Hotpoint took it on and honored a two year warranty. Since November I’ve had an engineer out twice. Still isn’t working. Won’t replace it because it’s now discontinued, so more parts ordered. Engineer advised me to go buy another washer. Thanks Maytag for totally disappointing me in what I thought would be my perfect washer. I will continue to email etc and hope that someone will help me. No point in phoning because no one listens. MY OPINION - DONT BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS IN THE UK AS NO ONE CAN REPAIR THEM PROMPTLY IF AT ALL.

I bought my first centennial washer less than four years ago, warrantied that machine out. It was replaced by best buy because of the warranty that I purchased. We are a family of four, with that in mind the replacement machine was a model year newer and it last just over a year and quit. I bought the machine anticipating that it will last me the next 10 years. With two children at home now that is not working, all I have to do on replace a new machine. The repair shop has told me that they get more of the Maytag centennial machines and then any other washing machine is going to cost me more to repair it than to buy a new machine because I had faith in the Maytag products for many many years. This particular machines are extremely hard to diagnose as to what causes the problem or what the problem is and could take a long time to get it fixed as well as the expense of getting it fixed. I would not recommend another Maytag product nor will Maytag ever get any more money from us. This particular product has become a piece of junk that I cant even get rid of to recycling. Maytag has become a joke and this machine has become a 500 dollar hunk of junk in my opinion.

I purchased a Maytag top-load washer 16 months ago. I had a problem with it four months after purchase and they told me it was not leveled, which I did not believe. I set it up as the manual said to. The washer left clothes soaking wet about every 30 loads. I continued to use it and the washer finally quit working after 16 months. The repairman found the nut which holds the pulley on the shaft that turns the drum had been loose and had been this way for some time. $129.00 later, it was fixed. It works fine now. I wonder if this problem should have been caught on the first service call when it was still under warranty.

After 30 months of light use.... two adults in the house, the top of the machine at the ports that allow adding fabric softener and bleach have rusted in a severe way. The machine is rusting away and Maytag customer service will say nothing except, it is out of warranty. I am very sad that I purchased a $719 washer that is falling apart with scant use.... Maytag no longer stands behind the product and I will never buy another one of their appliances again!

This machine that I bought 2 1/2 years ago is very loud. Sounds like a helicopter that is going to hit the house. Last week the machine did not empty and would not spin. What a mess. We had to take the clothes out and try to wring them out by hand. Then we had to scoop all the water out. Had to call a repairman to fix it. $187 which included two trips to the house and a new pump. The pump was $56. Just the last year my grandson came to live with us, but before that there were just two of us in the house to do laundry for.

My 20 yr old Kenmore washer broke last month so I replaced it with a Maytag I bought from Lowes. I wanted a simple washer that would maybe last 10 years. The Maytag has a sensor for everything. So you can’t fill the washer, it determines how much water to use and it never fills enough to cover the clothes. It doesn’t agitate really. It’s more like a slow on & off movement. It does everything in an on & off way. The water fill goes on & off, it “washes” on & off. Even the spin is a spin, slow to almost stop - spin again - almost stop - spin again. It also stops filling if you open the lid, I tried to let some water fill before adding clothes (so the liquid detergent could dilute a bit) but every time I opened the top there was no water in the drum, I heated the water running and the drum was wet but it wouldn’t gill at all. I think it only puts water enough to “sense” the clothes have been soaked. I will call Lowes and try to return it.

Maytag Top-loading washer MVWP475EWO - I just want to comment on how engineers have made our washing machines worse instead of better. I had to replace my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine - and did try a new one of that brand, but had the dealer take it back. It had so little water when it ran and was a piece of junk. Anyway, replaced it with the Maytag and it too has the water saving feature (which I understand all of them do) but I have to put it on the bulky setting all the time to even get the water to at least cover the clothes. The clothes just barely, if at all, actually move! They sort of rotate a little at a very slow speed. Boy, maybe this was the time to try a front loader so the clothes at least moved a little in the machine! I am so disappointed in how all the machines are manufactured now. One dealer told me I would like the Speed Queen, but it would take five weeks to get one. Thought this Maytag might do the trick, but now Im stuck with it anyway. It does not spin the clothes out nearly so well as my old Cabrio did. The clothes are pretty wet! So, another fine engineering feature. I wish the engineers would be the ones that actually did some laundry so they would see how bad the machines are. My daughter has three young boys and theres no way this would clean the clothes for her. I told her she should be glad her machine is still working. The dealer was very nice about it when I returned the other one, but it seems all the machines arent really made to clean clothes anymore.

I would tell you if you are looking for a machine run away from this one. It tears clothes, have to wash everything on bulk wash or I would not get enough water to say how bad this washer is. If someone called me and said I won this washer, I would say no thank you. And if I had to say Maytag repair called them, said she not getting enough water. Now this is what they told him: thats how we designed it. Forget about big drum, you cant put blankets or any larger items, goes off balance. And I have to say, if I had the money, I would put to the road and go back to wringer type. So again, do not make my mistake. Do not buy this washer and let me say the second day I made a complaint, was told it take time to get adjusted...NOT. I give this washer a 0.

I am 86 years old and have happily owned Maytag washers for many years. I just recently purchased the front loading model for ease of access. After using it for sometime, I could not be more disappointed. The clothes come out smelly, stained and gray. I tried using affresh washer cleaner on hot setting and the tablet did not even dissolve. There is black mold growing and must be cleaned constantly. I am so sad that my favorite company has let us down. I cannot afford to buy another washer so I am stuck with this lemon!

We bought a Maytag Bravos XL MCT Washer from Lowes in Oct of 2016. We had cycle issues with it in Sept of 2018 and called the Appliance Repair Service. IT was determined that the Electronic Control board and UIC was bad and needed to be replaced. Estimated cost - +$700.00. We bought Maytag because we thought it was dependable. Not so. It takes at least an hour for a cycle. It is super loud on the spin cycle. Now it is leaking and has that stagnant odor that front loaders get. Really! Waste of money. Will never buy a Maytag again.

Bought a Maytag HD top load washing 11/4/17. Within the first month the machine began to make a loud squealing noise during the wash cycle. A repairman came out 2 times before finally replacing the gearbox and tub. Within the last month or so the problem began again, another repairman came out twice, and once again, had to replace the gearbox and tub. When he left I ran a load and the machine sounded like a war was occurring inside of it. Very loud banging and grinding... heck I was wishing for just the squealing back! Maytag refuses to replace the machine and just keeps sending out repair people. The Maytag name once stood for quality but that was long ago.

We bought a Maytag Neptune Washer and from day one in 7/10/2004, we have had trouble with the washer and Sears. First, it stopped working within eight months after we paid over 1300 for washer and master protection agreement. We called over and over from that day and was told we didnt show in their system as owning one and that we didnt get the master protection agreement. This went on and on until they finally told us on 8/2010 that they finally did find us in the system and that the agreement had ended a year before and would send someone (that was on 8/31/10) to do the washer. After having sat for almost six years, it reset itself and worked that day. I told the guy from A&E that it was the computer but that wasnt what he replaced so the washer went right back on in a month. So we had to save to have someone else come out from A&E to charge us 143.10 to say it would cost a total of 310.51 for the computer and that it probably wouldnt work for too long.

Purchased this machine to replace the recalled Samsung washer that was exploding. I should have kept my Samsung. I loved it and had no complaints, but since there were reports of it exploding I took the rebate and purchased the Maytag Bravo Nightmare. Everything you have read or will read here is true. I would spend hours, I mean hours trying to do a load of laundry. If the cycle would complete itself, the clothes would be soaking wet, and they never smelled clean. I would try rinsing again and the cycle would start out with 18 minutes and I would return to the machine 1 hour later and it would be still running water and still have 18 minutes or more left. I watched it complete the spin cycle and start the rinse cycle again. We had the service guy out several times - he would call the techs and they would test the machine and say nothing was wrong other than it was off balance. They said I was using the wrong detergent - when proving that I was using an HE detergent, they counseled me on how to lay the laundry into the machine, and said I was using too much laundry detergent. After babysitting this machine for more than a year, and being told by Lowes Customer Service that the techs say there is nothing wrong with the it, I was fed up. I called Lowes and told them to send their techs to my house to do the laundry. I threatened to call for service every week until my extended warranty was exhausted. They finally gave me a merchandise card valued worth the purchase of the machine. Now, I have the painful decision of deciding what to buy next - It wont be a Maytag!

The way the outlet line and pump are set up, the Maytag Bravos does not remove all water from the bottom leaving about 2-3 inches. Even following the monthly cleaning and care has not stopped the inside of the tub from producing MOLD. When I contact Maytag there was nothing they could do about this problem. At this point my washer is only a few years old. I attempted to clean it myself but the drum would not break free. My options are, deal with the smell of mold and mildew, Pay Maytag $250 to come out and clean it (this would need to be done every 1-2 years) or buy a new washer. NOTE: I paid about $550 for this one. I have run a few clean cycles with bleach, but I think at this point the mold has embedded itself into the plastic tub.

Lets see... my complaints are the same as the others. I purchased the Maytag Bravos set. They were the higher end units. At first, the machine was very quiet. I quickly had a control board go out. Got that fixed. Now the washer gets off balance on every load.... Every time it spins, it stop. The gears whine very loudly... Louder than any other machine Ive ever heard. I agree with the comments on wrinkled clothes. It also does not clean heavily soiled clothes as well either. Overall, a bad decision.

The best we can tell, we got our Maytag in 1991. This was because the repairman told us that was the last year they made parts for it. It ran wonderfully until 2018. The water valve broke, but a repairman easily fixed it. In 2019, it stopped running. The repairman fixed it, temporarily, he said. He refused to charge us for his work because he said we might get a few more loads done before it completely pooped out. Were still using it. I love this machine. It has gone WAY past the expected life span of a washing machine. Weve had it for 29 years!

My washer is about one-year-old. Several months ago I noticed a brand new shirt was damaged after laundering. I thought it was inferior material. A couple of months later I saw a similar situation with another garment and started being more careful with the laundry settings using delicate, short, light washes, etc. The problem has happened a THIRD time to another garment. It appears this washer has a hunger for delicate jersey type fabrics. I started reading online and found out at it is indeed the action of the agitator and I need help rectifying the situation.

I purchased my Bravo (MVWB300WQ2) washer a little over two years ago. It took all day to wash some loads due to leveling problems. Example, you could not put more than two bath towels in at a time, even with the towel setting. The washer would stop and you have to re-position the towels. You cannot leave because it stopped so often. Also, the washer makes an extremely loud noise during the spin cycle. My most recent problem, it does not complete the spin cycle. My clothes are still very wet. I refuse to call service. Its just too costly. It would be the third time in less than 3 years. However, the first time was within the year warranty (no charge). The basket had to be replaced - it was ripping my clothes. During my second service call, the technician advised me in purchasing an extended warranty. I paid for the service call and for a one-year extended warranty which just recently ended. The washing machine is not worth paying for service again. I am going to purchase a new machine instead!

Washer breaks after 2 years. I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL washer from Lowes just 2 years ago. One of the main driving factors for the purchase was the Maytag brand. The repair tech just told us the bearing was bad and we need to replace this and the drum. The service call was $100 and the repair will be over $500. I can purchase a new washer for this. I strongly recommend not buying any Maytag product. The brand used to stand for quality but not now. I dont think the Maytag repair is still the lonely tech they used to be.

Have had Maytags repair person come out and he did not access the problem properly. What a waste of time and money! Says it needs a very expensive part which with labor and parts cost almost as much as machine.

Maytag top loader washing machine - Worst appliance purchase ever made. Does not clean laundry, takes all day to do 5 or 6 loads. Not enough water to properly wash or rinse load, even using the deep water setting (a joke). A load of 2 king size sheets and 4 pillow cases wadded up in a ball and rattled around so hard in the spin cycle, it pulled the plug out of the wall. Maytag sent out technician who conducted diagnostic testing, which did not include any actual laundry. Technician said machine was operating as intended and verified I was using the machine properly. I have tried to return this machine since the first load was done and realized it was a disaster. Maytag refused to help. In fact, their phone agent had the audacity to suggest I wash one sheet at a time to prevent the machine from moving across the floor so far the plug came out of the wall. Maytag surely is not what it used to be. Im sorry I did not know they, like so many other companies, dont care about their reputation or customer service, not to mention producing a quality product. I would say they are actually misleading their customers by calling this product a washing machine.

I hooked it up properly and ran it with extra load setting to see the machine develop a life all its own. The sheet metal breathed in and out like the chest of an old man running uphill. Lower exit hose not properly installed leaked on floor so I put on a new adjustable clip. Machine can only handle small loads. While it does wash clothes (it is a washing machine!) it requires close supervision in size of load. The machine needs a plumbing bang pressure gauge or you are likely to blow out your water pipes. It sounds like there are a bunch of people walking the machine with ball peen hammers. Who cares, but they were made in America and moved to Mexico. They should need visas to get back in. Absolute junk.

The engineers that developed this worst-of-all machines on the market must have been circumcised with pinking shears. 80 minutes for a wash cycle? Even rapid wash takes an hour of slowly spinning and spinning ad nauseam with almost no water. The clothes sit in the same position even on the very brief agitation cycle... Nope, the clothes do not come out clean, although if you add bleach to the dispenser, since there is no water in the tank, the bleach does triple duty and rots the clothes. Is this masquerading as energy efficient when all of the cycles are an hour long, about? Unfortunately it takes water to clean clothes and the environ-lack-of-mentalists must have bribed Maytag to develop the worst washer on the planet. Absolutely!

Was partially sold by the attractive metal label that says 10 YEAR limited warranty. It is now less than 2 years old and the Maytag selected repairman just diagnosed a failing transmission and of course advised us this is not covered by the warranty. Cost to repair—$ 600. About as close to false advertising as I have seen.I can’t believe that this company would sell such crap and not stand behind their products! But after seeing all these other complaints I believe it now. I bought both washers from Nebraska Furniture Mart and I realize they only sell the appliances but I plan to inform them that if they continue to handle Whirlpool and Maytag products they will never sell another appliance to me or to anyone else I can influence to not buy from them. I mistakenly purchased the Bravo XL top load washer. I only wish I could give it a zero rating. I have only tried to wash 3 loads of clothes. It is almost beyond belief that anyone could possibly think this could clean anything. My husband actually watched it “work”, and insists I call Maytag because they must have forgot a part! It does nothing but crumple/wad the middle items together and rub them...and only them...together. There is no movement of the outer items until it spins. Maybe Maytag should enlist people who actually do laundry to “test” the items they put their brand on. I know the government and the energy rules have added to the complex problem of buying something as simple as a washing machine...but this piece of junk is almost laughable to watch as it destroys your laundry. It cleans well but I would like more control like water temperature for example. I have had this washer about a year. I also want quiet but did not get it in this washer. That is tough cause you dont know until you have it! I think that it is hard to buy big appliances and be happy with them at my age because at 70 years old you remember when a washing machine was built to last a lifetime! What it does is takes forever to fill up the tub then it doesnt even come close to filling it to where all the clothing is covered for rinsing or washing, then it just stops and sits there for a few minutes (??) and then it proceeds to empty the tub and youre supposed to feel like your clothes were cleaned.Not in a million years will your clothing get cleaned in a Maytag washing machine. Youve been warned...dont waste your money. Go to a used appliance shop, but the best one they have that does NOT have the Govt. regs built into it, and be happy you saved as much money and did NOT have to go through all the frustration and hassle everyone else has that bought a new Maytag washing machine.

Just replaced a washer that lasted over 7 years thru 3 renters with the Bravos top loading washer. There is nothing efficient about a cycle to take 73 mins to wash 20 articles of clothing (t-shirts, socks and underwear). The machine dont wash the top of the load. Also the deep clean feature isnt deep cleaning. I recorded a video of 20 mins of the machine not washing properly before going into rinse cycle. If this item dont produce refunds of the amount of water wasted RE-WASHING and electricity because it doesnt clean on first wash, then its time for Maytag to pay my utilities. For the money spent on the machine, going to the laundromat every other week with 1 roll of quarters each trip comes to be I can wash for 4 years and will outlast the longevity of the machine before it breaks! Also bulky mode is how you get more water in the machine but will take 63 mins to wash.

I have to wash everything on power wash with an additional rinse cycle (takes about 2 hours per load) and clothes still don’t come out clean. I often have to wash a load 2 or 3 times to get it clean. Thank God for the glass lid so you can see how terrible it washes. No water in this thing. Clothes that sit on the edge of the bowl do not agitate enough to be washed if there was water in the wash cycle. Bleach that you use in your white wash cycle is left over and gets onto your colored cycle if you wash it the color cycle next. I ** you not, mark my words that stains are left on clothes even in a cycle that has lots of water in it. If you think Im high or crazy take a look at your local Home Depot or Lowes store. Check the area for washing machines that are for sale that have been used. You will find this Maytag Bravos XL machine there. They look good and are practically brand new and they will be there for weeks on and because people return them if they get lucky to return them. I called my store and they refuse to take it back and told me to call the manufacturer. I did just that... I called the manufacturer and they told me they can send out a serviceman to check the washing machine. Butt...and a big butt, if they find nothing wrong with the washing machine that I will be charged a service fee. Bunch of **! I also learned this model was discontinued from Home Depot. Is this because Maytag knows this Dishwasher was JUNK and that they allowed consumers to buy this model knowing it had these problems - I believe so! I purchased a Maytag washer Type 832-A, Model number MHWE200XW00, Serial number HL11990545 in May, 2011 from Home Depot. After just three years it flooded my laundry room. Home Depot couldnt help me, and Maytag Customer Service tried to really rip me off.I called Home Depot, asked why they continued to carry a product they knew had terrible complaints and all they could tell me was they are sorry I am unhappy with my washer, then gave me Maytags customer service number. I called Maytag - first the guy tried to sell me a $400 extended warranty package - total rip off. Maytag should be ashamed, then said he couldnt help because it was past the time period. There is no telling how many people they are ripping off with that little deal. Consumer Affairs should be all over this. So then he offered to get a Maytag repairman to come to my house, but couldnt tell me how much the diagnostic visit would cost or anything else. He was worthless.I hired a local repair person to come to my home, the part is $140, its the tub seal, weak and flimsy - has a giant hole. I only wash clothes and towels, nothing else. My local guy is cutting me a deal on the labor, still going to be $200. Maytag isnt what they used to be and I will never, ever purchase another product from them again, ever. And I would suggest you dont either. Maytag appliances only last a couple years at the most, and its customer service is horrid.

It will not take fabric softener unless its in the ball and if you use extra rinse you dont get to use fab softener at all. (I like liquid fab softener on some things). Why it doesnt have a dispenser is beyond me. And the bleach dispenser is poorly designed, too close to the tub and splashes every time. Ive had this six months and would get rid of it in a heartbeat if I could afford to. Plus it snags towels. The washer is crap. And its a Maytag. I wish it would break so I could justify buying one that has some decent features like fab soft dispenser, bleach dispenser that doesnt splash, drum that doesnt snag.

No lights on display but power at plug. Repairman comes at appointed time and says it needs a new circuit board. Within a week, the part arrives and an appointment is made to install the new board and still have the same problem. Have to order a new console panel. 3 and a half weeks later, the part comes in. I have a job which I used the money to buy this machine and now the service advisor wants me to take off work so they can try to fix this machine. He told me I cannot return the machine. Whirlpool Canada LP Customer Assistance said they could not do anything. When I asked to talk to her boss, she put me on hold. She came back and said they would give me 6 months extended factory warranty and she would email this which I have not received. Work schedules will dictate when the next appointment will be made.

Maytag HE Top Load Washer - We bought our whole house lot of Maytag appliances 6 months prior to when we would need them, in Nov of 2015. There was a great Canadian Black Friday sale event special, so we purchased the whole lot at Home Depot thinking we had got a great deal, however back then there were very little reviews on the washers, as they were fairly new. This is the absolute worst washer, I have to pause the washer after the water level that the sensor allows finishes and add at least a bucket more of water to cover the clothes and clean them properly and rinse them twice to make sure the residue from the soap gets washed off (I use HE pods, so not using too much soap). Certainly not what you would expect when you buy a high-end appliance. Im going to replace it, but I cannot even try to recoup any money back, as I couldnt/ wouldnt be able to sell it to anyone knowing that it is just garbage!! You would think that a high-end appliance company like Maytag would admit that this appliance is a mistake and offer the consumers that purchased this junk a credit towards a washer that will do what is expected!! Think about it Maytag... you have lost a lot of future business by ignoring the fact that this machine is not what you advertise as a company that stands behind their name. I am sure to tell everyone that I know about the disappointment in this product. I have a friend that has a LG HE washer and it works great... so no excuses about water consumption regulations... its just not designed properly!!

Shirts come back with clods of dirt still on them. Pre-treating stain remover doesnt wash out of clothes. Terrible machine. I wish I hadnt bought it!

Called Maytag and was told because I did not purchase an extended warranty there was nothing they could do about the labor. I can buy a new washer for $500 why would I spend $325 to fix? I tried everything, shifting articles of clothing, then unplugging the machine and re-plugging. I am in the process of researching a plain Jane model, not one with all the bells and whistles. I am extremely dissatisfied and wish Maytag would step up to the plate and recall these machines. A motherboard and the costs for other parts, I would be better off replacing with a brand new machine. Dissatisfied!!!

I use the recommended detergent (I use Tide HE) and follow the directions being careful not to overload. I can tolerate the slow operation I guess, but the poor cleaning is a real problem. When I put a plastic shower curtain in it, no clean happens. I just throw them out and but new every time. I will definitely go back to a Kenmore with an agitator.

Constantly does not clean clothes, always out of balance, codes constantly come up, only 2 1/2 years old and already rusting out. No matter what you do this washer does not want to work. Has special cycles for bulky loads but try to wash 7 towels and it will dance all over floor then shut down with an unbalanced code and you have to unplug to reset then wash towels again but not use spin and have to wring out towels by hand. I cannot believe the Maytag company has not recalled this very expensive pile of junk, and their service department is very rude and not helpful at all.Also as soon as you call an appliance repair company and tell them its a Maytag Bravos they say we do not fix those, do yourself a favor and junk it and buy any other brand. I have 3 kids now grown so we have bought about 5 washers over the years and when we saw that this was supposed to save water and energy and do bigger loads we were sold. Big mistake! Whatever you do never buy any appliance from Maytag. Products are garbage, service is nonexistent, and the cost will make you boil.

One month after warranty we had our first issue which cost us $380. Kinda my fault I was told by repair guy... My bra underwire came out during wash and destroyed the part we had to replace. Then a year later during spin cycle it sounds like an airplane taking off for about 10 minutes. Its so loud we cant even hear our TV! So guessing its bearings gone bad now? Which is a very difficult part to replace. And pricey. So guessing a new washer is in our future. We previously owned a Maytag washer and had it for 15 years and it still worked fine, we just wanted to upgrade. Big mistake! I wouldnt wish this washer on my enemies. I think the repair guys sets it to mess up when they do this reset thingy. Lol. Cause within a month of the renewed warranty we purchased was expired is when the 2nd issue began. I think the older washer are better because all this newer technology stuff is crap!! My advice do not buy Maytag Bravos series washer unless youve got lots of cash for repairs!!

The front load washers have a manufacture default with the boot that allows mold to grow even when it is wiped out as instructed. I have contacted other people and they have the same problem. I will not or ever buy a front load Maytag again and could never recommend this product to anyone. I feel that the Maytag company should replace the boot with a different design; at no cost to the consumer! This machine was only a year old. I have no problem with the company I bought it from. They replaced the boot with a bill of $358.65.

I bought the Maytag Bravos X, last year. The silver color and glass top fooled me into thinking this was better quality than it is. This washer is very easy to go out of balance. I had to open the top (easy) and install/glue a little styrofoam, to limit the amount the tub could travel. Second unresolvable problem is how to wash anything larger than ONE outfit. If you watch the videos, and read the information, this washer is supposed to flip your clothes so whats on top makes it to the bottom for agitation. Ha! Absolutely BS. Unless you wash a very small load single level. The clothes in a TYPICAL size load will sit exactly as you loaded it.the only attention the top layer of clothes is only sprayed with water, no agitation. Hope you dont have kids. Doesnt XL mean extra large? It sure does, you can wash one pair of extra large pants, and or one extra large shirt.

Ive tried all manner of washing clothes, especially dark ones. Different cycles, different detergents and amounts, but it always leaves scum marks in folded places. I have to either brush off what I can, and/or rinse the clothing in a sink and then rewash the clothing without detergent. In an attempt to save water, I end up using two or three times the amount.

After research I see that this machine has many complaints against it. I bought Maytag because they never need repair. I would like Maytag to fix this machine without charge or recall the machine. From what I have read, these machines are defective. The electronics are failing at 2 to 3 years.

We bought a Bravos model in May 2010. Two years later, the machine started making noise during the final spin cycle. We finally called a repairman who came today and informed us it was a bearing in the outer drum. The cost for the part (the drum assembly) was $290, not to mention the cost for labor. Since we only got the original warranty, the service center at Maytag refused to help with the repair. We, as others who have had problems with Maytag, bought the washer because of Maytags reputation. This is why we have to buy extended service warranties. Companies make trash! What happened to the days when an appliance lasted longer than 10 years? Why cant we buy a good sturdy appliance without superficial bells and whistles? We have no idea if any other brand is better, but we will not buy another Maytag.

The basket decided to drop today and by the time I realized that it did, my whole bathroom had flooded, the water spread down the hall into my spare bedroom and soaked through the floor, also flooding my basement. I called customer service. They are sending a repair man next week, but as for all my ceramic tiles that are now cracked in my bathroom and my hardwood in the hall and bedroom that is full of water and are lifting off the ground. Its my responsibility to call my insurances to fix it. Yet it was their washing machine that caused the damage in the first place. When I purchased the washer I didnt expect to have to repair it every year. Not impressed! I do not recommend this washer.

Bravo Large Capacity Washer with Optimal Dispensers - 4.3 Cu. Ft. - The washers shortest cycles take at least an hour (not including having to do another spin/drain) and uses such little water that I have to use the extra rinse cycle on most loads. The washing machine is VERY hard on the clothes; towels (which I feel are pretty hardy) have been destroyed. Today the machine stopped draining/spinning completely and smelled like it was burning. I called the warranty number and was told it would be a week until someone could come out. When I tried to escalate a sooner repair date the manager Jessie refused to assist in any way insisting there was nothing he could do. I spent the morning calling my local repair shops and was able to find a Maytag warranty repair person to come out the same day, but had to call the warranty number again and have Maytag place the request. Sorry for the long post, but this washer is the WORST purchase I have made. The warranty experience was very unimpressive. I will not be purchasing anything from Maytag/Whirlpool/Jennair ever again.

My husbands jeans gradually developed stains around the knees that never came out, and his white underwear & socks didnt come clean either. After about 3 years, the spin cycle developed a loud sound, like a jet taking off, which was so loud and forceful, it sounded like it was literally going to spin out of the machine. We got rid of the Maytag Bravo after 6-7 years, and Darryls jeans and underwear were clean after two washings. All heavy items, such as blankets, have to be watched over because they always get out of balance several times a wash. We kept the Maytag Bravo, although it wasnt great, and didnt dry clothes completely. These are not machines that you can put clothes in, and just walk away. You have to babysit your laundry.

The solution??? Have a third service call only to hear, replace it (which we did) or replace the transmission. The 3rd call coming up will be the same. This Maytag Bravos HE machine has the poorest design! It doesnt use enough water on the normal cycle so I always have to use the bulky load just to get the clothes wet. The old washers used to spin the water out thus keeping the load even. This machine drains the water first and then tries to spin an uneven load! When this happens the machine bangs loudly from side to side, stops, refills with more water and starts the whole process again until it fixes its problem or until you go shake out the entire load and reposition everything. Then it uses more water to start the process all over again. It takes twice as long to do a load of laundry.Every time I use it I say I hate this machine! This machine should have never been released without extensive testing. Maytag could have figured out all of their own problems and fixed them so we wouldnt be writing all of these bad reviews. A recall should have been done years ago and the problems all fixed. I will never buy Maytag again!

I, like others in this forum, thought I was buying the best washer in the market, and paid extra for the Maytag name. It sounds like from the other complaints, that my problem is just the tip of the iceberg. It will cost me $200 to replace the suspension rods. I wouldnt mind paying the money, if I thought it would fix my problem. After reading about all of the other problems with the Bravos, I might just cut my losses, and get a new one. What a waste of $1,000.

I purchased a product less than one year ago. The clothes are getting snagged in seam on interior of the front panel. I went back to the store and felt the same gap in the seam on the panel on a floor model, so I know it is not just my machine. I called Maytag service and a representative acknowledged the problem but also said that if there is no fix for it, I would be charged for a service call even if no part was replaced- quite a contradictory statement. She said she doubles as the Complaint Department. If this is a manufacturing defect, it should be replaced. The front panel should be recalled.

We purchased the Bravos XL washer just over a year ago. It is being replaced 1/10/2017. Simply put this is the worst product I think I have ever encountered. Extremely noisy wash cycles leave residue on the clothes, clothes do not get wet in some spots. This washer is so noisy you can hear it from outside. What an embarrassment. You have to run the clothes twice first with detergent and again without detergent to remove the residue left over from the first wash cycle (not energy efficient at all). If I could give a minus score like minus 10 I would.

I have only had this machine for 2 weeks after having a Maytag since 1994. Even broken, my old machine was far superior to this one, a Maytag Bravos. Fortunately, the salesman noted that I wouldnt be happy with this machine but, thanks to a government mandate, all new machines behave in a similar manner to save water and energy. This agitator-less machine neither washes nor rinses the clothes/bedding/towels properly. It takes four times as long to wash the items but doesnt get them nearly as clean. Today, I put 2 pairs of shorts, 2 T-shirts and a standard bed-sized mattress cover in to wash. The mattress cover never even got thoroughly wet even though I used the deep wash and extra rinse settings. Last week I put sheets in the sheet setting only to have them come out totally wrinkled and stiff as a board with soap even though I used the recommended amount of detergent. This is a disaster. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag and the U.S. Govt. A river and a flat rock would work better!

Two years ago I purchased a Maytag Top-Loading HE Low-Water washer. I have always taken great pride in the way my laundry looks and smells but since this purchase, my laundry no longer smells clean and fresh nor does it look clean. I have always used the same detergent and fabric softener (only now I use the HE version) and it served me well. I have read all of the directions and did as I was instructed. I cannot believe that anyone would actually think that you can do laundry with practically no water. Do the decision makers have not common sense at all? I didnt and still dont believe it but what choice did I have when all of the machines are now HE with low water. I think its terrible that consumers dont have a choice. I have come to realize that low water, HE washing machines actually waste more time, energy and money (detergent and fabric softener).My clothes are not clean, nor do they smell good when the wash cycle is finished so I have to wash them again, using more detergent, fabric softener and energy. The super fast spin that supposedly sucks out most of the moisture, also rumples my laundry with semi-permanent wrinkles (even on the low wrinkle setting) so clothes that never had to be ironed before, now need pressing. I find it remarkable that, with all of the detergent ads promoting washing clothes in cold water to save energy, we are told that if our clothes are not sufficiently clean in cold water in our HE washers, that we should try a warmer/hot temperature. Good luck with that because my machine has several temperature settings but only uses one - COLD! I cannot actually believe that with all of the technology that our society holds, we are going backwards in the basics of washing clothes. Terrible product, terrible quality, terrible results, terrible waste of time, resources and money. Why cant you just leave some things alone??

I just went to the local wholesale guy after almost 8 months of using this POS, and spent $200 on a older agitator machine, after the first load my 7 year old close came clean of dirt! There is literally no water and the motion of the drum, it is almost impossible for this machine to clean clothes. I really am surprised that no one has started a class action. And to anyone saying the are hog farmers and work outside and get dirty? I would love to see it first hand. I am going to post on YouTube and show what this machine really does. Think about this before you buy, We all get hooked on how big it is, thinking you can do 4 loads at once, but trust me the low water thing is real! How do you clean clothes with no water! When I looked at it in the store I was excited that the tub was so big and the Maytag Label has always been trustworthy to me and my family. This machine certainly has disillusioned me against Maytag. I can only wash clothes on the bulky sheet cycle because even with deep water wash it only puts about 2 of water to wash clothes. Clothes on top dont even get wet! It doesnt take an engineer to figure out that you cant wash clothes without water. Big mistake! Would never recommend this washer to anyone! I complained directly to Maytag and never received a response. I have had to rewash clothes because they did not get clean. Even with an extra rinse the clothes still have enough soap in them to make my skin irritated. My whites are not white even though I use hot water and follow all of the directions provided with the machine. If there was any way I could afford it, I would throw this machine out to the garbage and get one that actually cleans the clothes. I will never buy another Maytag machine in my life.

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. Our new washing machine (Maytag Maxima XTLM Front Load Steam Washer & Dryer w/ Pedestals) has developed a loud knocking while running which the authorized whirlpool repair provider said was due to internal ball bearings. He said that the washing machine caused the pedestal to become warped and the only way to stop the knocking was to replace the pedestal. Whirlpool refuses to replace the pedestal saying that the pedestal must have come that way or was installed incorrectly or was overloaded. There are only two of us and we never overloaded at all. The knocking started several months after the installation. If the pedestal was defective (came that way), why wont Whirlpool replace it under their warranty?

Machine was alleged to work by Sears. Paid several hundred for the machine, brought it home, and voila it does not work. New hoses, ran all the checks, and will not fill. Called Sears and, despite the statements of the manager, was told that I have to have a 3 day old machine repaired and not replaced. This POS did not even work out of the box. Years ago I had a Calypso which is now a flower pot. Junk, Junk, Junk. NEVER buy anything from Maytag or Whirlpool.

Not only do you have to wait almost an hour to get a hold of their customer service I got hung up on once after waiting that long and the a Customer Service Lead by the name of Brittany couldnt offer any help either. We have been without our washer for almost a month now and will have to wait another couple weeks for the part to come in on top of probably another week for a maintenance person to come out and repair. I asked to expedite the part but that went absolutely nowhere. It actually added time to get the part because it was suppose to be here on the 13th but now its up to 9 business days for that to happen. I would stay away from purchasing any appliance from Maytag with the experience we have gone through and terrible customer service as well.

This in addition to the feeling I have that too much soap is left in clothes and spot removal is pretty consistently negligible.

Since this time I had to replace a motor and 4 (that is right 4) control panels. Although I am covered under a protection plan, the cost of laundry services and an outage of 2 weeks for each event is very costly. This time I call Maytag for support on their product. Looking for someone to say that there is something wrong with this machine. I want to hear that their product should not perform like this. I was told from a supervisor in these words that Mrs. we only care about the machine the 1st year. After that you are on your own. When did Customer Service lose the service part? When did companies stop caring about their products they produce? I never heard I am sorry youre having trouble or even a recommendation. A machine this new should not have 4 control panels replaced. This is the reason no one wants to buy a Made in the USA product anymore because we know the employees working there do not care about keeping customer relations.
