Product Reviews:

We bought an LG front loading high efficiency washer a few years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. The maintenance required for routine use is more than one would expect for an appliance such as a washing machine. The machine routinely soils and streaks clothes and has ruined countless garments despite the suggested tub cleaning, wiping down, and costly extra tub cleaner. Additionally, the washer often leaks soapy water into the floor despite the use of HE detergent, meticulous measuring of detergent so as not to overfill. Now I must wash only small loads to keep leakage to a minimum--one of the big selling points was the ability to efficiently do large loads. Over recent days, I have had consistent leaking. I suspect we may have water damage below the floor, but no visible staining of the lower ceiling as of yet. I am constantly washing towels that I have to use to clean up the mess from routine use of the appliance. This product is a lemon. There should be some sort of buy back or trade in for some other, more useful washing machine.

We bought a new Kenmore Elite Top Loading Washer 31522 in July of 2014. We noticed that the machine often generated a UE error and we had to redistribute the clothes. But it got where we could not even wash a load of sheets without having to redistribute the load 3 o 4 times. Sometimes just hit "Drain and Spin" just to complete the load. Even though Consumer Reports usually discourage buying an extended warranty we did buy one for 3 years. We called for a service rep to repair. On the day he arrived I had used my neighbor's one year old Maytag which was very similar to mine and had zero problems with getting my laundry done. He said this would not happen with the Maytag b/c Maytag is made in USA and Kenmore is now made by LG in Korea. The repair man said he has to completely rebuild the machine and cost for labor and parts (8 parts) will be $1500.00. The machine costs $700.00. Why would Sears approve a $15000 repair that could buy 2 new machines? I told him that I have to use a laundromat frequently which gets to be expensive and very inconvenient. He said the parts he would be delivered and he would return in 9 days. Sears called on day 8 to cancel appt and left a number to reschedule. When I called to reschedule they said it was b/c their records indicate that all the parts were not delivered but I told her that UPS did deliver 5 additional boxes. I got an automatic call about an hour later saying I was the first appt for the next day between 10 and 12. No one came or called. I called and was told that it was cancelled and needed to be rescheduled b/c their records again indicated that we did not have the tub. We had to go through each piece we already received to confirm. The 3rd appt was made for a week later. We are still awaiting the delivery of the inner tub assembly from LG and fear that we will have to again reschedule. I called the sales agent who sold us the washer and asked for his assistance in getting a new machine. I was told that the only person who can decide if the machine can be "condemned" is the repairman. This does not seem right to me. Why would we ask the repairman who can charge for the repair be the one to decide if the machine should be fixed? Especially when repairs will be way more that the price of a new machine. I think we have a lemon. He was supposed to talk with his manager and get back to us but then heard nothing. I called again and he said his boss will contact us. Again heard nothing. I called again and had to leave a msg for the boss. The boss left a VMX saying he could not replace the machine, but have to wait for the repairman. I am very unhappy with the machine and especially with Sears.

Kenmore Elite Oasis HT Model 11028081700 - I have had to replace the bearings once and it needs them replaced again. It sounds like the washing machine wants to take off like an airplane. Of course, the warranty and extended warranty have expired. Now the clothes don't get as clean and sometimes the rinse cycle leaves the clothes full of soap suds. I always thought Kenmore was a solid product but I will likely never buy another one.

Samsung Dishwasher model#DW80H9930US. Purchased in late August 2014; installed in November worked exactly three (3) times. Repair people here 3 times. Should have read the reviews first. This is a defective product and Samsung does not seem to care. We want a replacement or a refund.

My husband purchased the Maytag Bravo December 2013. We immediately started noticing clothes been destroyed and stains still in clothes. We immediately contacted Whirlpool and shared our concerns and they sent out technician. He stated that the motherboard was gone. After repairing the motherboard, that do not stop our clothes from being destroyed and making them clean. I have wrote numerous letter to the CEO of whirlpool and sent pictures. When they decide to call you back months have passed and still they do not want to help you. Whirlpool have refused to take responsibility for a bad product they invented. They do not stand by their mission. Someone please help the consumer, because this big corporation refuse.

Worst experience of my life!!!! Don’t buy a Maytag washer!!! It’s agitating our clothes dry. Putting holes in clothes. We bought a warranty that’s pretty much useless. They will not replace. Only fix parts.

On the 27th of this month, I complained to the call center about the drainage problem with the machine and a man came within 48 hours as promised. He did some adjustment and the machine started working. I took AMC on his advice, and the next day I loaded the machine and the problem was there again after half the cycle. Again I had to call the call center on the 29th after 24 hours - the same man came, did the same adjustment and assured me this time he checked it and it won't happen again. But on the next load, the problem was there again. On May 1 I called them again, they gave me the number of the service center but I could not get through. Again, the call center registered my complaint the third time. This time it was an urgent call. They said within 24 hours, someone senior will come but now it's more than 30 hours and nobody came. The call center people gave me the no of the area manager and he promised me it will be done today. I am still hopeful, still waiting.

I have a Maytag Neptune washing machine which had a mold problem on the rubber grommet. I have been trying to call Maytag to no avail. I researched and saw there was a class action suit for this very problem and I was never informed. The washer may pose a health hazard and I would like Maytag to do something about it.

I bought Whirlpool front load washer at Sears in June 27, 2012... (serial W104408696A) (W10409178A-SP). I had 6 episodes within a 1-year time that my clothes got burn holes and the inside of the washer. I would find a handful of gray powder after doing my laundry. The first time it happened, I thought that I left something inside my clothes that resulted to it, but I did nothing to contribute to the event. The second time it happened, I thought I'm putting the wrong setting, so I chose another setting to wash my clothes. In that span of 1 year it was on and off happening. I read different reviews on this washer, and I am not the only one who's had this problem. Finally in 2013, before my warranty would expire, I requested for Whirlpool to fix the problem. Right away the tech told me that the problem was the glass covering, so they replaced it. Now my washer would not drain. I believe that this product does not belong in the market. If they knew what the problem was, they should have recalled it. I kept the sample of that gray powder.

Elite High Efficiency Top Loader - We bought our washer less than 2 years ago! It has been extremely noisy the last few months and unbalanced! Yesterday the washer flooded our upstairs and poured through our dining room ceiling! We called Sears and they want $80 just to come out and look at it, meanwhile we have to replace carpet and Sheetrock. How can a company charge so much for a product and not stand by its quality and care about its consumer. A washing machine should last for more than 2 years!! Companies like this need to be held accountable for ripping off the consumer.
