Maytag bravos xl - HORRIBLE at washing and cleaning the clothes. Broke a little after a year... Went to Maytag site, saw that they push 10 yr warranty. Transmission went out... but not covered?? Garbage.

This is our 2nd Maytag washing machine in 25 years- we upgraded to a newer model though the old one was still working. The settings on the newer model are perfect for our family and we love all the options. We love our machine. Thanks.

Horrible machine. Uses too little water, cycles are too long. No matter what the size of the load, it takes an hour. Just after 3 years the bearing went out on the machine. Cost for repair will be $250. Thats not even an electronic problem which Im sure would be next. NO THANKS. Im getting a new machine and it wont be a Maytag.

I bought a new Maytag washer 1 year ago. It does not do a good job of washing the clothes. I have tried to contact customer service but what a waste of time that has been. I would never buy another MAYTAG washer again. This is after owning an older style Maytag for 25 years that I never had one problem with until it wore out. They are now junk. I bought at Leons. Would be very careful of buying there again as they were also no help with this washer not working properly.

Contacted their customer service by phone and email numerous times...sent photos. They did nothing on a major issue,,three year old washer..now junk. Side of washer is rusting out the metal housing on washer is compromised.

Magtag Bravos Washer top load Model MVWX700XW1 - I purchased my washer in June 2011 with the understanding that this was the best washer for my money and needs. I have family of 4, and laundry is a continual cycle at our home. I had the washer delivered and installed by the store where it was purchased. I was pleased with the machine even though the clothes were extremely wrinkled after each cycle, but the salesman was kind enough to tell me this would be so. 21 months into use, I had a water leak from the internal cold water valve. It’s not covered by warranty; I had the valve replaced. Within 2 weeks, the machine would not spin out the clothes; if it did, they were still wet, or would stop mid-spin cycle and start rinsing again. It took 2 hours to wash a 37 minute hand washables load this past Saturday, 4/6/2013, not to mention the other 4 hours washing to regular loads just to get the machine to rinse and spin. The service technician has spent the past 2 days at my home trying to repair my machine to tell me today that it is not the lid lock, but the master control panel which is still not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. To say the least, I now have to purchase a new washer as I have invested $250.00 for a valve and the control panel is $275.55 plus labor.This machine is the biggest waste of money that I have ever spent. I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer having owned two other Whirlpool machines, each lasting 17-18 years each. I do not abuse my appliances, overload or in any other manner try to destroy a machine for personal gain. I do, however, feel that Whirlpool/Maytag needs to recall these washers or cover the parts beyond what is written. I have read numerous accounts of these and similar issues by others, yet the company will not stand behind their appliances. Really!

Does not clean laundry, leaves dry untouched spots, all my clothes look unwashed & the rinse is terrible, leaves dirt on clothes due to little water in cycle. Im a senior on fixed income. I cant buy another machine.. I called Maytag within a couple of weeks of using washer. They told me We have No guarantee for Customer Satisfaction. This is a complete scam on their part. If I could of afforded a Lawyer I would of taken them to court. They knew what they were selling & somehow got away with it. Give the people what they pay for, not the Bravos piece of Junk. Can only wash on 1 cycle to get wet wash. But paid for other useless cycles. Who made this machine & who allowed it to pass to the unfortunate Consumers. If anyone can help getting Payback from Maytag, Please let us know... Better business Bureau should get after them.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer 2 years ago. Theres not enough water in there, and the clothes get so tangled that Ive had holes in them. Ive had technicians come out several times and they just say that its the water saving feature of the washer. I put it on the wrinkle control setting and the clothes come out ridiculously wrinkled. All of these problems are due to the water saving feature. I absolutely hate this washer and would never recommend it. I want my old washer back with the agitator and enough water in there to actually wash clothes.

I wish I would have read reviews before I purchased this washer, but I was in a hurry to get a new machine. Maytag has a great reputation and we went on that!! My Bravos is 2 months old and we have been away for a month! What a disappointment so far. What Ive noticed is all my dark items have residue on them, and today some of my light clothes came out looking like there is grease on them. Im afraid its going to wreck more clothes! Does anyone know if theres been recalls on the Bravos XL washing machines?

Maytag top loader washer will not complete cycles. Washer is only fourteen months old. Repairman says parts will cost four hundred and seventy four dollars - almost what I paid for the washer.

I could not get parts for Maytag Model MHWE200XW00 Type 832A as the Whirlpool does not provide after sales service. I purchased the new washer in 2010 and lasted for just 4 years. I believe they guarantee supply of spare parts (Inner Basket, Outer Tub and Rubber Boot) for 10 years and more.

Maytag Centennial 3.4 top-loader was purchased at Home Depot. It has never worked yet. On 4/28/12, the third weekend, I sat home for the servicemen to fix this junk machine. The first two times, the machine didn’t work ten minutes after they left and today they went to the wrong address. I have much more important things to do than to sit around and wait for someone to figure out what is wrong with this machine. It would have been cheaper for me to junk this brand new machine and buy a washer from a company that makes washers that work!

In October 2016 I purchased a New Maytag washer (Model# MVWC565FWO) from LOWES. I bought an extended 5 year warranty with it as well. I have my invalid, totally incapacitated Sister living with me. The situation requires several loads of washing each day due to her conditions. TWO WEEKS after starting to use it we began having issues with the washer. It would stop in the cycle, lights flashing, only way to restart is to unplug it, move control from wash cycles setting to drain and spin... then within the next 3-4 loads it would do it again. Sometimes it sat for awhile I would smell like an electronics Odor getting hot... I called Lowes. They replaced it. Approximately 3 weeks later the NEW washer began doing the SAME THING...Lowes would not replace it with a different Model or brand... only send a repairman out. Long story short, he has been here 4 times, replaced the Computer Control with NO IMPROVEMENT!!! NOW Lowes is sending him out again and saying that if this doesnt fix the problem they will refund my money... My problem with it all is this... IF MAYTAG is having these type issues, WHY PRAY TELL, has a recall or solution been found and passed on to the repair folks??? I bought this Maytag due to #1 Reputation, #2 It was Assembled in the USA, NOT South Korea like the Samsung with recalls... Now all this is going on. I WANT A WASHING MACHINE THAT WORKS RIGHT!!! This is totally unacceptable and totally uncalled for. WHY could these Govt agencies and Manufacturers not LEAVE the washers alone? Computer technology... PLTTT. The old timers controls gave no problem in over 40 years of using them. Now this crap.

I purchased this machine 6 months ago - have called 2 repair people. Thank God I purchased at Sears with extended warranty, was just replaced. I would tell you if you are looking for a machine run away from this one. It tears clothes, have to wash everything on bulk wash or I would not get enough water to say how bad this washer is. If someone called me and said I won this washer, I would say no thank you. And if I had to say Maytag repair called them, said she not getting enough water. Now this is what they told him: thats how we designed it. Forget about big drum, you cant put blankets or any larger items, goes off balance. And I have to say, if I had the money, I would put to the road and go back to wringer type. So again, do not make my mistake. Do not buy this washer and let me say the second day I made a complaint, was told it take time to get adjusted...NOT. I give this washer a 0.

The digital display on our Maytag Washer model MVWB765FW, bought 3/22/2017, failed overnight (whilst the machine was not operating) after 3 1/2 years. A reputable firm came out and diagnosed the problem, their report concluded that the Control Board had failed and needed replacing: they provided a verbal quote of $525 [ ! ] to do that. The machine cost $600 and based on the expected life for washers (per Consumer Reports) of ten years would have a maximum residual value of $420 based on straight-line depreciation. The retailer from whom we bought the washer told us that he had contacted Maytag and asked them what they were prepared to do about this failure: a week later and absolutely no response from the manufacturer. Apparently Maytag has no concern for their customers or their own reputation. We made the mistake of buying this machine based on Maytag’s reputation and a ten year warranty which appears to cover only parts unlikely to fail! NO MORE MAYTAGS FOR US.

We have had our washing machine for about 6 months, we got the F3 E6 error code. After doing some research, we found out that the control module was what we needed to replace. My husband and I called both Maytag and Lowe’s, (the store we purchased the washer from). We have been given the runaround. After talking with several managers in the Lowe’s warranty department, we were told that we had to contact Maytag directly about that particular problem. Okay, no big deal. We called and every single time we were put on hold for at least 30 minutes before we were hung up on. Not once did we even get to speak to a person. If we don’t get a response and our problem doesn’t get fixed, I will be going to the Better Business Bureau.

How many times do we have to go without a washer? We have to wait on service to check/see how many times it has to be fixed. This is since we bought it.

We have had this machine for too long. It starts banging and making tremendous amounts of noise. We have balanced it and tried loading it in different ways but when it starts to spin it apparently tries to even the load somehow that results in very loud noises and movement of the washer in the laundry room. Terrible machine. If we could afford it we would trash this one in a heartbeat and buy a different brand.

Purchase a Maytag Bravo XL Washer Model MVWB850YWO from a major Home Improvement store in January 2012 with a 4 year service plan. Since this time I had to replace a motor and 4 (that is right 4) control panels. Although I am covered under a protection plan, the cost of laundry services and an outage of 2 weeks for each event is very costly. This time I call Maytag for support on their product. Looking for someone to say that there is something wrong with this machine. I want to hear that their product should not perform like this. I was told from a supervisor in these words that Mrs. we only care about the machine the 1st year. After that you are on your own. When did Customer Service lose the service part? When did companies stop caring about their products they produce? I never heard I am sorry youre having trouble or even a recommendation. A machine this new should not have 4 control panels replaced. This is the reason no one wants to buy a Made in the USA product anymore because we know the employees working there do not care about keeping customer relations.

I bought my Maytag in 2013. It worked fine at first but for the last year it isnt getting clothes clean. In fact, some look like theyve never been washed. I have to run the rinse cycle 2-3 times and they still seem somewhat soapy. The washer still leaves clothes drippy after running the spin cycle. It takes 2-3 hours to complete a small load. I wish I had my old Kenmore back. It worked fine for nearly 20 years!

3 years into the buying of a Maytag Bravos XL MCT washing machine (Serial # **) and already had to replace the original control panel for a cost of $400+ in less than 2 years of the buy. Now AGAIN the replaced control panel is now once again shot and the machine is not starting. A lot of repairs in 6 years from belts. It leaks water around seal on door. Only part of the cycles work. I would not recommend the Maytag washer to anyone. When I got it I expected or hoped it would last 10 years or more.

We had this washer 16 months. We bought it new from Home Depot. The clothes came out with spots on them, white residue and grease spots. This was ongoing for awhile. The bearings went out after 6 months. It was so loud now the water pump went out. I was told by Whirlpool (they bought out Maytag) that water pump is on back order and could take a couple of months!! To fix the bearings and the water pump was almost 700.00. A new washer is 1000.00. We junked it and had to buy a new washer GE. We are sick about this waste of money!!! What a piece of JUNK this Maytag Bravos XL is!! We need to have a class action suit and try to get something back. This is ridiculous and they arent taking responsibility. Whirlpool/Maytag are rip offs!!!!

Besides the fact that it barely agitates or turns over the clothes even on deep fill (which we need every time otherwise a whole HE cycle goes and the top clothes remain DRY), the oh-so-fancy power button stopped working at less than 2 yo! And guess what, because it is not a button or knob, but control panel sensor button you hover over to turn on, the fix is to replace the $400 little control panel box. On a $600 terrible washing machine! We trashed it and bought something else without a faulty button system. Very unhappy. Do not buy this.

Purchased a Maytag Centennial top load washer that will not fill with enough water to wash clothes. The washer was purchased from Lowes on August 17, 2016 and we tried to return but Lowes refused because we were passed the required 30 day return period. We contacted the Maytag company and they sent out service people who reported that there was nothing we could do other than wash small loads. The company also reported that if we tried any of the solutions on the web we would violate our Warranty. Since we find ourselves in this spot (we should have read all the bad reviews here before the purchase) we have decided to place the machine in a very visible spot across from a new 100 store shopping center on a truck with a 4x8 sign warning the public not to purchase this product.

My new Maytag washing machine does NOT CLEAN clothes or anything else. Waste of money. I have soft water, use bleach, hot water, Tide. I have even tried adding some baking soda. No use. I cannot wait until I can find a washing machine that works.

Maytag Bravos XL: I purchased mine Nov. 9 2017. I so wish I had never bought this machine! It leaves soap residue and dog hair on my clothes and bedding. I have to wash everything 2-4 times. It’s beyond disappointing. My husband and I agree our clothes looked better dirty, BEFORE we “washed” them in this machine.

Purchased my Maytag Bravo MVWX500XWO 4 years ago. While still under warranty I had to call for service once. I felt based on the Maytag reputation I didnt need to extend the warranty. WRONG!! My Maytag first started with the loud and fast spinning. Like it was about to explode! Then my washer started leaking. I thought I was having plumbing problems, so I called a plumber... wasnt the plumbing. My washer wasnt draining out completely so I finally called an appliance repairmen who immediately knew what the problem was ($109.90) for a 15 minute review. The leak was from the bottom of the washer... the seal around the transmission cracked, broke or whatever causing water to drain out in my garage. Also the main control board wasnt working. Repairman said it would cost me $700 to repair!! Really?!! My machine was practically new! Without hesitation the repairman said for me to call the Whirlpool/Maytag 800 number and they would offer me another washer for 50% off at their online outlet. Repairman said this always happens... Why would I want another Maytag or Whirlpool!! Please do not buy the Maytag Bravo... Can you imagine if this happened with a car purchased... 4 years and then having to buy another car??!! Not reliable or worth your money!!

We purchased this product from Lowe’s in 2009. We liked it for the first 6 months. Then it started putting holes in our clothes, the washer smells bad, coins get stuck, and make noise. Something needs to be done because there are thousands of upset consumers out there, all with the same complaints and Maytag does nothing. It’s not Lowe’s fault. They didnt make the washer. Come on people are you serious! Im talking about all those people who give this washer great reviews or even mediocre reviews. This washing machine sucks! Thank God for the glass lid so you can see how terrible it washes. No water in this thing. Clothes that sit on the edge of the bowl do not agitate enough to be washed if there was water in the wash cycle. Bleach that you use in your white wash cycle is left over and gets onto your colored cycle if you wash it the color cycle next. I ** you not, mark my words that stains are left on clothes even in a cycle that has lots of water in it. If you think Im high or crazy take a look at your local Home Depot or Lowes store. Check the area for washing machines that are for sale that have been used. You will find this Maytag Bravos XL machine there. They look good and are practically brand new and they will be there for weeks on and because people return them if they get lucky to return them. I called my store and they refuse to take it back and told me to call the manufacturer. I did just that... I called the manufacturer and they told me they can send out a serviceman to check the washing machine. Butt...and a big butt, if they find nothing wrong with the washing machine that I will be charged a service fee. Bunch of **! Bought this washer back in March of 2016. This is the biggest piece of garbage that I ever came across! That washer does not clean clothes, when they are dirty. If I stand in the rain dressed in dirty clothes, they get cleaner than in the washing machine. In 5 month I have tried every possible variation of washing to no avail. I have to handwash the clothes that I wear to work in the garden, or any other dirty job, because the washing machine does not do the job! I bought that washer at ABC warehouse, I paid almost $400 for the thing, and I have to handwash my dirty clothes!!! Shame on you!!!

The functionality of this machine is so awful. I had the dealer replace it only to find that the awful noises that the machine makes, the fact that the clothes don’t get covered by the water and the clothes are so knotted after the spin cycle you have to untie them is normal for this awful appliance. In the sensing stage the machine groans like a laboring motor around 30 times, then stops with a jolt. My machine is next to the bedrooms and the noise wakes people up. Even in the “deep water” setting, the clothes are not covered by the water. The wash cycle is short and noisy and the spin cycle goes on forever. In the end I have to untie the legs of pants. Whoever designed this machine should be ashamed of herself or himself. Shame on Maytag.

Horrible machine. Purchased on 02/28/2014. I am 63 y/o retired housewife now. Machine used only for light washing, occasional king size sheets and weekly towels. I bought into the Maytag name, am so very angry that I did. Started a load at 1215 pm today... it is still sensing, washing, rinsing, spinning and then it starts all over again. Just unplugged from the power source, hopefully I can get the clothes spun out enough to dry!! Call and live chats to Maytag were frustrating to say the least. $400 plus Maytag service call to check out the machine not fix check out repairing would be extra. (I do not live in rural area, live 5 minutes from downtown Jacksonville FL!!!) Independent Repairmen will not touch this Maytag Model (cannot say I blame them!!). DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG PRODUCT. This is a horrible company lacking in integrity, honesty and fairness. They sell shoddy, inferior products based upon past history.

I bought a Maytag washer expecting To get the best and have already had Service on it three times and it still isn’t working. A friend of mine who owns and operates an appliance center watched it.. messaged me back and said Do not call repair man as it is cheaper to buy a new machine... I bought a Maytag Commercial Technology Washer and a Bravos XL MCT Maytag Commercial Technology Dryer in July 2018. On April 14, 2020 the control board went out and Maytag will not replace it. It’s going to cost $463.00 to get it repaired. I do not like this washer because it does not fill with enough water to get my clothes clean even with the deep fill cycle turned on. My clothes still smell nasty after they are dried with scented dry sheets. I will never buy another Maytag product, because they are cheap made. Maytag advertises as American made. Fact is they are assembled in America but the parts come from China and Thailand.

Maytag Dishwasher purchased for $634 on 7-6-12 from Lowes. Control panel malfunctioned in August 2014. Started leaking in April 2012. From the online comments, I am trashing this machine. I owned an front loading Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer MAH5500 for more than 10 years and first 5 yrs doing 2-3 loads a day for a family of 12 so this machine held up well, and only issue we had with the machine was the rubber around outside needed to be replaced after about 9 yrs.

I bought Maytag washer 15 months ago and the washer is now leaking from the bottom. My floor was damaged from the leakages. I have not use the washer much in the past 14 month because its just me in the household. I will never buy a Maytag product.

This is a review of a washer that is no longer sold. I bought a top of the line Maytag washer 45 years ago. After around 25 years the control (all mechanical) started sticking during the cycle. I opened it up, sprayed it with TV Tuner cleaner, worked it a few times, and it has worked perfectly ever since. That is the only problem or repair on that machine since it was purchased!

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top loading washing machine two years ago. The clothes hardly get wet enough to get clean. It leaves a residue on dark clothes and the basket goes unbalanced at the drop of a hat. Whatever you save in water, you spend on electricity because a cycle takes twice as long as a conventional washer. It goes out of balance and bangs the machine enough to walk it across a room. I purchased this machine from an appliance store, not some discount house. I have had machines last 20 years and this one is shot in 2. I will never, ever purchase another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid product again ever.

I paid $958 + tax for a Maytag Bravos washing machine in August 2008. I live by myself, so the machine is not overused. Nevertheless, it began to sound like a jet airplane during the spin cycle. And then in May of 2012, it failed with error code F51, catastrophic failure. The machine was not even four years old. I called a certified Maytag repairman. In less than 5 minutes, he told me the cost to repair would be about $900, and then he charged $115 for the service call! A call to Maytag resulted in Im sorry, there is nothing we can do.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo XL washer in 2015 under the understanding it has a 10 year warranty. Well it’s 2020 and it starting leaking. Called customer service and lost 3hours of my life waiting for a person. Keep in mind I’m pretty handy and work on spa, and pools. And can troubleshoot things like this. I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. So they represent themselves And their warranty falsely. Buyer beware. Maytag is shady. I’m guessing Whirlpool is part of them so please do your research before you buy. 1. Customer service doesn’t exist with them. (3hrs hold times.) 2. Misleading warranty coverage. 3. Will not call you back.4. Try to extort more money from you. ($100 to send a tech out to confirm what you already know.)DO NOT BUY!!! Learn from our mistake.

I like most others have experienced the same issues with the new Maytag top load WM. In addition my new machine dances across the floor like a drunk leprechaun. After Lowes told me that with my extended warranty Id have to miss work and pay 100 bucks for a service call I emailed Maytag. Needless to say they didnt even respond. Ive have learned a few valuable lessons. Dont assume that more money means better merchandise. Made in America doesnt say much. And please dont buy Maytag.

Bought washer in 2010 from Sears. Told me the washer had a sensor to measure how much water it needs. Was told by service guy that was a blatant misrepresentation by the sales person. It only fills up with 8 of water. When I wash my white towels with normal dirt (dog paws), with HE detergent and bleach on various cycles, my towels come out tie-dyed with dirt. Totally dislike this machine.

Maytag is a reputable company and my centennial washer has been going strong for over 6 years. My only complaint is that if it gets slightly scratched by objects placed on top temporarily, it starts to rust there.

On May 11, 2010, I purchased a Maytag washing machine from Lowes. On June 22, 2011, the machine wouldnt empty out on the rinse cycle. Lowes was called as the machine was only one month out of warranty. They dispatched Appliance Plus for a service call which would be $80.00 just to diagnose the problem. It turns out the machine needs three parts - a timer, an ATC switch, and a rinse switch. All totaled, this will add up to over $300.00, plus the $80.00 for the service call.Appliance Plus tried to contact Whirlpool to see if Whirlpool would at least pay for parts, being it was only one month out of warranty. The answer took 5 days and the request was denied. I was told I should contact Lowes Service Advantage and maybe they could contact Whirlpool for a special consideration, again, being it was only one month out of warranty. I made the call and they said to give them two business days turn-around for an answer. On June 30th, Lowes said Whirlpool was looking for the serial number and I provided it. They told me to give them another 2 business days turn-around. On July 3rd, I again called Lowes and they informed me that they still hadnt heard from Whirlpool. Finally, on July 7th, I received a call from Lowes saying Whirlpool denied the request.

Maytag top load washer. I dont understand why Maytag would make such a piece of crap. It takes so long to wash, that I can only wash a couple of loads a day. It doesnt fill. It doesnt get the clothes clean. My electric bill is higher. Its so noisy too. Never thought Maytag would make such garbage.

My brand new top of the line Maytag Bravo washing machine lid was broken and locked and would not open. I had clothes in there getting moldy. Three days in Pacific Sales trying to get help. The washer, of course, is under warranty (about 90 days). Finally a repairman came out from Appliance Doctor. He had no clue what he was doing. The company was rude. Then Maytag said High Tech was coming out yesterday, Monday, Dec 16, 2013 between 8 and noon. It never happened and when I called High Tech, he was rude and said it was not on his calendar.Maytag will not give my money back or a new machine or provide a competent repair company to fix it. I will be giving away the 1000.00 washing machine for someone else to fix and buying another brand. I would never buy Maytag anything after this experience. I have a Maytag Neptune washing machine which had a mold problem on the rubber grommet. I have been trying to call Maytag to no avail. I researched and saw there was a class action suit for this very problem and I was never informed. The washer may pose a health hazard and I would like Maytag to do something about it.

Bravos XL was costly. Mistake! I owned my first Maytag for 20 plus years. The sticker shock of buying a new Maytag 4 years ago was pushed aside knowing how long my previous model lasted. The salesperson at Lowes closed the deal with his explanation of an improved gear driven system vs the old belt and pulley version. Oh how wrong! I too have the jet plane from hell landing in my home for over 2 years now everytime the spin cycle engages. This is a two person family and it failed at 2 years?!?!?As for water conservation... if I dont include the additional rinse cycle, my clothes dont get clean. Watched the YouTube on how to repair this unit... but what guarantee do I have that it wont go back to the same problem in another year? Cant afford another big investment like this now that I am retired, so I will run this baby until it seizes up. Dont wash clothes if company is coming or if you want to enjoy evening TV programs. Not sure why this unit hasnt been recalled based on all the complaints I have read on this site?? Worst decision I ever made! I bet the Maytag Repairman is spinning in his grave!

This has to be the biggest joke in the world for the respected name of Maytag! The engineers that developed this worst-of-all machines on the market must have been circumcised with pinking shears. 80 minutes for a wash cycle? Even rapid wash takes an hour of slowly spinning and spinning ad nauseam with almost no water. The clothes sit in the same position even on the very brief agitation cycle... Nope, the clothes do not come out clean, although if you add bleach to the dispenser, since there is no water in the tank, the bleach does triple duty and rots the clothes. Is this masquerading as energy efficient when all of the cycles are an hour long, about? Unfortunately it takes water to clean clothes and the environ-lack-of-mentalists must have bribed Maytag to develop the worst washer on the planet. Absolutely!

Purchased a Maytag top load HE washer in November of 2011 & by Feb. of 2012, Maytag had to bring me a new one after a service call to fix lasted only one week. So at the end of Feb. 2012 they brought me a new Maytag Centennial HE Model# MVWC400XW3 & this one lasted till January of 2014, less than 2 years old & quit working. Had a service man come out to look at it & was told not only it would need a $400 repair but it was made by Samsung, but Maytag had their nameplate on it!! Called Maytag customer service line which took about 30 minutes of hold time to get through & was told, SORRY, LADY, we cant help you. Youre just out of $613 after less than 2 years of service & we WONT help you!! This company should be shut down, they are liars, frauds, cheaters, producers of poor quality products, uncaring, & sellers of the worst products on the US market & I hope the Consumer Affairs will see enough of these complaints about Maytag products & shut them down!!!

We purchased the Bravos XL washer just over a year ago. It is being replaced 1/10/2017. Simply put this is the worst product I think I have ever encountered. Extremely noisy wash cycles leave residue on the clothes, clothes do not get wet in some spots. This washer is so noisy you can hear it from outside. What an embarrassment. You have to run the clothes twice first with detergent and again without detergent to remove the residue left over from the first wash cycle (not energy efficient at all). If I could give a minus score like minus 10 I would.

This is the absolutely worse washer I have ever owned! My clothes actually come out dirtier after they are washed. It leaves white stains on clothes that I have to scrub out by hand. Maytag you should be ashamed of yourselves for coming out with a washer like this. It takes me 2 or 3 times to wash clothes and I have to use the power wash, extra rinse, and maximum clean setting to even come close to cleaning. It is cheaper to take my clothes to the dry cleaner now than use the washer. I called Maytag numerous times, and they said that they will charge for a service call unless there is actually a mechanical issues. They will not honor repairing the machine if it does not wash clean. I will definitely NOT recommend this washer.

The soap dispenser along with the port it slides in becomes molded and is not easy to clean, front loader. I never had a front loader washer with this moldy problem. I have been cleaning it at least once a month,

Maytag washer not draining properly. Called Aug 15 for help. First tech in on August 23, makes a diagnosis, orders part; no news, I call, am given Sep 15 as next date. Come 9/15, I take off from work, only to find out tech cannot come that day, to reschedule. Next tech comes 9/25 with a different diagnosis and different part to order. By October 3, an announcement that part came in, to make an appointment. By now, its been a month and a half, I am so angry. I call a friend, who fixes it in 15 minutes by simply clearing a clogged drain filter. This is unacceptable: the inordinate wait, incompetent techs, unresponsiveness from customer service. I cancelled my contract with Maytag Warranty/AIG.

I have always heard Maytag was one of the best so after replacing too many washers to count in 15 years, like Whirlpool and Kenmore, I decided to spend more for quality. I figured pay a few hundred more once rather than spending $400 for a cheaper one that only lasts 3 or 4 years. That choice seemed environmentally responsible and financially as well. However, I couldnt have been more wrong. In 2016 I purchased the Maytag Centennial top loader for $500. I really loved the size of the tub and the way it looked. I can fit a large comforter in it with plenty of room leftover. I also have no interest in a front loader after reading reviews. So I thought this was going to be great! Well it hasnt been. It has broken 3 times. The circuit board twice and now the bearings are going out in the motor. I fixed it the first two times but now Im done. Im done with Maytag, Aka Whirlpool. I think it will be a Speed Queen for me now. Im hoping it wont be a dud also because they are pricey! It actually scares me to spend that kind of money. I have really lost my faith in most companies nowadays. Customer service and quality has gone out the window. I think about how much this impacts the environment! Its terrible that appliances only last a few years before they end up in the landfill.

It has never failed me and I cant remember when we purchased it. When I grew up, my Mother only used Maytag Washer and Dryer. When I married (almost 50 years ago), I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer and have never regretted it.

Have a Bravo Quiet Series 300, does not clean clothes because on not enough water to wash with. Have to set it on Bulk to have it clean good enough. The way it agitate and rotate the clothes turns the wash into knotted pretzels (this also makes it harder to clean the clothes) which in turn makes the spin cycle vibrate badly. Cannot put wash in and leave because of this.

Gave up a very good old washing machine to update to a newer one and so we got the Maytag bravos 300. I thought Maytag was a very dependable name and product. The warranty went out. 2 weeks later, the water pump went out. I had to pay to have it replaced. Then after that it started making noise that got louder and louder and now it sounds like a thrashing machine. And now it has started leaking water out of the bottom. So its going in the scrap pile. What a loss of money - the worst investment I have made. For what I paid for this machine, it should have lasted for many years to come. The washer I had before this Maytag I had for 16 years - no problems at and it still worked great when I gave it away. Maytag use to be a brand you could count on. Great craftsmanship has been taken away and monetary gain has taken over. I hope no one else has to go through this nightmare that I have. Just like all the other reviews, 14 months after purchase and 2 months out of warranty the control panel on our Maytag Dishwasher stopped functioning. The “10 year warranty” is a joke a covers 3 things. We had model MDB4949SHX, $550 new.

Bought va washer. Trying to upgrade. Water fills about 1/3 of way even on bulky setting. Supposed to be high efficiency. Detergent does not get all the way out because there is no enough water. The bearings and motor went out in less than 3 years. The warranty good - the dealer I purchased from Siano Appliance gave me credit to purchase another Maytag washer - which I had to purchase an additional warranty for $320. The new Maytag is less than 5 months old - the motor has been replaced and waiting on a tech now to fix it. It would not come on. SO in warranties I have paid over $640 and am still having issues with the new washer. I bought this machine a year and a half ago. The entire drum and spin motor need to be replaced. Maytags warranty only lasted 1 year. I bought it at Home Depot, and also purchased the extended 5 year warranty. The extended warranty is as bad as the washing machine. I am now just 2 days shy of 4 weeks of trying to deal with both parties. Ive had to take my laundry in to have it done. The cost of the laundry, the cost of the machine, and the cost of the warranty is more than $200 more than what Home Depots Extended Protection Plan is willing to reimburse/refund. Home Depot does as much as Maytag when it comes to standing behind what they sell. An $800 washing machine only good for 18 months, really???

Here recently I got a bravos washer x series because it suppose to cut down water usage. Well that it did. Now going on 7 months of having it now its starting to act up like when the cycle is done it will lock again and repeat the cycle all over. I use the normal or powerwash cycle and here recently how its suppose to sense the load and then start spraying the clothes with water and detergent. Well not here. Lately it still senses and spins and then starts filling up like its on the bulky/sheet cycle but its on normal cycle and it doesnt fill all the way up - just 4 or 5 inches of water. So I dont know what is up with this piece of crap and why its acting this way. Other times it will work fine on the normal and the other cycles but now its just acting all crazy.

I spoke with Mike today at the customer service department at Maytag to see if Maytag would pay for the parts to repair my 04/2010 Maytag front load washer (model MHWE450WW00). The bearing assembly needs to be replaced. So, that means the tub and basket need to be replaced too. The original cost in 04/2010 was $1,088 plus tax. The cost to repair is $1,048. Maytag will do nothing since it was purchased over 12 months ago. I cant believe I just threw almost $1100 away on a washer. Obviously, there is something wrong when an appliance doesnt work after 1.5 years.

I have a Maytag Bravos XL and have white residue on all the clothes that get washed in this machine since I purchased it. I have always used HE Detergent and have followed all Maytags recommendations to reduce the white residue to no avail. I had to wash my clothes 5 times to get the residue off of my clothing and 4 of those were without any detergent and on all temperatures and wash cycles. Model # MVWB835DW.

I purchased my first Maytag (Bravo Washer) appliance in 2013 and thought this washer would last me for a minimum of 10 years. It started making noises occasionally right away but I wasnt too concerned until it started sounding like someone was banging on it with a sledge hammer. I waited 8 days for a repairman who told me the bearings were going out and it would cost $400-500 to repair. This is the worst washing machine ever manufactured. My advice is to buy any other brand. Bought a Maytag Bravos XL washing machine because I thought it was a dependable brand. We have had it 14 months and the lid (upper left corner) will not stay connected. I called Maytag and the rep states to me Is it broken in the upper left corner and I replied yes. He continued he is just the parts guy, but every bravos has the same problem. I asked for the replacement part ($302), but he said the part is on back order for 60 days. He continued that maybe I should buy two because it will happen again. I only paid $700 for the washer, but it should never break down after 14 months. I highly recommend a different brand.

We (husband and wife only - no kids) had our Maytag washer for 4.5 years and around year 3, the control panel would need to be reset by unplugging it and plugging it back in. That alone was an inconvenience. This time, the Control Loc light is lit and will not go out despite using all troubleshooting suggestions listed in the guide so the washer is not usable. 10 year warranty covers the drum. I say that is like getting a warranty on tires and when one goes flat, you are told it only covers the hubcap. I can only rate the unit as garbage. Model is 5500, front load. So much for Made in the USA.

The control (computer) stopped working. The Maytag Centennial washer would not turn off. I had to unplug it from the electrical outlet to get it to stop. The repairman had to replace the computer panel. He said it had burned up. I bought this machine from Lowes on January 11, 2011. It lasted 15 months and cost me $265 to get it repaired. I called Lowes and because I did not buy the extended warranty, they would not even talk to me. When I pay about $500 for a washing machine, I expect it to last longer than 15 months! I will never buy another Maytag appliance! Customers beware: these products are a bunch of junk. Even the repairman told me so.

We bought this Maytag washer 3 mo. ago and now need work done on it. We were told that they could not find anyone willing to come work in this area. We live in the Mississippi Delta, 30 miles so. of Greenville, 50 miles no. of Vicksburg or 90 miles from Jackson. So I guess the Maytag repairman is not just lonely anymore, he doesnt exist.

Bought this machine with the intention of having at LEAST 10 problem free years with it. Its a Maytag after all. Not an unreasonable expectation. Within the first 2 years, the machine sounded like the bearings were going out (heavy, grinding noises when it shifted gears). Repairman came, replaced the entire drum (only way to get to the gears, I guess). Didnt fix a thing. Then the rinse and spin cycle on ANY wash cycle randomly quits. Just stops. Full load of wet, soapy clothes, sitting in the tub while an LD error code quietly flashes.Its not uncommon for it to take two full days of screwing around with this machine to get one load of clothes done. Have to UNPLUG the machine, let it sit for about an hour, and try again. It is the biggest waste of money ever and I will NEVER buy another Maytag nothing. Contacted Maytag and they recommended I call a repairman...REALLY? REALLY? Gee, I wish I had thought of that. Repair guy has been to my house so damn many times for this machine, we are now friends on Facebook. Dont waste your money on this machine.

Why is it when you wash dark clothes they come out with white spots which looks like soap. I have put very little soap and it still appears. I usually wash in cold water so I tried warm water - same result. I have had a Maytag for a least 40 years never had this problem - what is it I am doing wrong? I have to wash and rinse at least 2 more times. I would appreciate a answer so I can fix this.

I have a Maytag Performa washing machine (model no. PAVT234AWW) and called the Maytag parts department to order a plastic pulley for the main drive motor. I was told I would have to purchase the 189 dollar motor just to get the plastic pulley. After two days web searching and calling local appliance stores I found that Whirlpool who uses the same drive motor sells the pulley (part no. 21001108) for 9 dollars. The Whirlpool pulley is even made out of stronger plastic. I just wonder how many Maytag customers have had to purchase a drive motor like I was told I had to by Maytag just to fix a 9 dollar pulley. I got lucky and my problem was solved, but only because a local store happened to have this particular problem so frequently that they were able to help me out when Maytag should be the ones helping out their customers better. We purchased a Maytag washing machine top load (#MVWX550XW) on 12-20-2010. The switch on the machine that starts it running when you close the cover went out under warranty. They put a new switch in and it only lasted a while. I had to pay this time, $240.00 for repair. Now again, 1-2-2013, the switch is not working. I think that it is a lemon. I called the company and they will not cover the cost. Instead they want to sell a warranty for over $300.00 for one year and then if I purchased it, then they would fix it.If I did that, I would have more money into the repairs then what the machine cost ($583.44). Isnt there a lemon law? It looks like I will have to get rid of this machine and buy a different brand. Yes, Maytag has let me down. I cannot recommend their products because of the quality and answers that they give. I cannot afford an attorney, which leaves me upset when somebody wont cover the cost of the third repair.

I have a washing machine that I purchased in August 2010 that is not working. A certified Maytag technician came out and informed me that the shifter assembly went bad and needs to be replaced. The machine is only 19 months old and they are telling me it will cost $352.25 to replace this part. I only paid $549 for the machine. This was a poorly manufactured part and a very expensive repair for a newer machine. This part did not give out to normal wear and tear. I just spoke to a supervisor at Maytag customer service and she said Maytag would not replace the part or offer any kind of discount. I am so disappointed in this answer and type of customer service from a major corporation. I am willing to pay for the labor (not that I should have to), but had hoped Maytag would at least help with the cost of the part. Basically, Im out of luck because the machine is no longer within the one year parts warranty. I will never buy Maytag again.

This washer does not distribute enough water to wash clothes properly. I continually take clothes out of washer that are not completely wet. My darker clothes have white spots of detergent on them that did not get rinsed off. This product should be pulled from the stores. We have tried everything, using deep water wash, bedding wash, to get more water in the machine. Our clothes are not coming out clean. Complete waste of our money!

I purchased a new Maytag top loader at Home Depot. They delivered and set up. From the first load, I have had problems with the washer stopping and jerking. Clothing becomes a tangled mess. I contacted Maytag, they suggested I make sure I put on proper setting for the items within the washer. I do not know how one can fail at putting sheets in the washer and putting the setting on sheets and they are so twisted you have to spend time pulling them apart. This happens to almost everything I wash. I believe that I have a lemon, still under warranty, Maytag believes I should pay for a house call. Home Depot will only forward the information to me that Maytag gives to them.

We purchased a front-load Maytag washing machine (Model MHW3505FW1) two years ago this month. When the machine is empty, we always leave to door open. We dont allow clothes to stay in it for long, never for more than a day (the load is usually changed as soon as the cycle is over). Right now, the rubber seal on the front has tons of black mold on it, and when I lift the seal to look underneath, its way worse. There have been many problems like this reported on front-loaders. Wish Id known! Maytag will not send a replacement seal.

The washer doesn’t have enough water to to get clothes clean. Even on deep water wash there’s is not enough water. It doesn’t get clothes clean, its very noisy. It takes a long time to was, even on short cycles. You can’t soak dirty clothes, it has a cycle for soak but it is not long enough. After about 3 months the lid licking doesn’t work and the progress lights remain on and never go off. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I just want to return it and get a different one!

We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! I purchased this washer January 2020. Bravos XL model# MVWB830DW5 is the worst washing machine ever. Does not clean your clothes, leaves soap residue on your clothes. Clothes aren’t fully submerged in water for the wash or rinse cycles. Do not waste your money. You will be highly disappointed.

Maytag Neptune Washer Drum Bearings have once again failed. Last time, I replace the whole drum via diy, cost was about $160 for the part. Now I see that outer drum is $500 +/-. I just may only replace the Seals & Bearings this time OR just part this thing out and buy a real machine without the Maytag name.

The best we can tell, we got our Maytag in 1991. This was because the repairman told us that was the last year they made parts for it. It ran wonderfully until 2018. The water valve broke, but a repairman easily fixed it. In 2019, it stopped running. The repairman fixed it, temporarily, he said. He refused to charge us for his work because he said we might get a few more loads done before it completely pooped out. Were still using it. I love this machine. It has gone WAY past the expected life span of a washing machine. Weve had it for 29 years!

White clothes come out with some sort of grease stains on them and darks come out with a detergent white scum on them. I have to put them through twice to get the scum off and I have to scrub my whites by hand. So much for your new type washers. If I could find a washer with an agitator and water saver on it, I would buy it in a flash and get rid of this so called newest thing on the market. I have to put a cleaner through it every 2-3 weeks that costs me $10.00 for 3 pucks and having to rewash my clothes does not save water or time. There is a lot to be said for the washers that had water saver on them. First of all, I could open the lid during the wash cycle and add another item. (2) I could use the last of the 2 rinse cycles from my white clothes to start a load of dark clothes, that was truly a water saver and both loads were sparkling clean. Every women that I have discussed these new machines with (both front loaders and top loaders) say that you and other companies that think you have improved wash day for women have definitely not improved it but rather made it a nightmare. Absolutely hate this product. I hasnt given me a moments satisfaction since we spent the $1,000.00.

I purchased a Maytag washer 5 months ago. I noticed the washer was not putting enough water in the machine to cover my clothes, and at the end of cycle my clothes would be all tangled up. A repairman looked at it and said there was nothing he could do. Do not buy this washer. It is a lemon. I even spoke to the main customer service representative, he was the most arrogant man I have ever felt with. He basically said deal with it. I want. I want my money back so I can purchase a washer that actually works.

I purchased this washer because of Maytags reputation of the repairman who was supposed to be needed less. Ha! Was that a joke? I purchased a Maytag washer on 7/23/11 from HHGregg. The salesperson told us they would highly recommend the new (HE) washer and said that everyone will start selling these only. So I bought your Maytag HE washer Centennial commercial brand. My complaint is my clothes dont seem to get clean. I have started putting less clothes in each load to see if that would help and it does not seem to help. When my clothes still come out smelling like my perfume and there are dry spots on my clothes, this tells me my clothes are not getting cleaned. I also have very sensitive skin. If my clothes were not rinsed good enough, I itch very bad. I called the store I bought this at and the salesperson I spoke with also said there were other complaints about HE washers. I wish I would have never bought a (HE) washer.

Bought a Bravos, large capacity, top load washing machine few years ago. (Purchased at a Lowes.) Been nothing, but one problem after the other!! I hate it! NO MORE MAYTAGS FOR ME. Has required several repairs of various parts. Now again, after being repaired few months ago, something else has gone wrong. Would have been cheaper to replace a 3-4 year old machine than keep having repairs.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) in 2012 and one day before my 1 year warranty was up, my start button on the control panel wouldnt work. I called P.C. Richard and they sent a repairman who fixed it. This was in June of 2013. Here I am now hand washing again 1 year and 4 months after the repair. I called P.C. Richard again and was told that all brands have their weak points and because I got it on sale in the first place, I should not feel angry.Now that I am reading the reviews from 5 years ago, I realize that P.C. Richard knew this was an issue and chose not to disclose it or stop selling it. I had my G.E. for 10+ years and will go back to one. As I have no money for another new one, I will try to learn to fix this one on You Tube.

I changed from another HE brand to this model. No comparison. This machine can do twice the work... but double the time. My former machine was quiet while this one is not. Maybe I got spoiled to the former brand, but Ive never heard so much noise from a washing machine! Ive always thought Maytag meant quality but I think they may have missed the boat here. Our Maytag washer 4000 series was installed on September 2010. Within 12 months and 5 days, we are now waiting for our second spin bearing to be replaced. It is a repair that takes 2 guys and 2 hours, and they basically have to replace the guts of the machine. I can imagine this is, at minimum, a $500 repair. We didnt buy the extended warranty, but luckily, the appliance shop was able to talk Maytag into eating the cost since we were only 5 days out. With the purchase of our new house, we upgraded from our appliance allowance to this model. With everything going on with the new house and selling our old one, I didnt do my normal internet searches for customer reviews and that was a mistake!Maytag has since sent us a warranty extension offer for $350, covering 3 more years. I guess Ill be buying that. It sucks that you pay top dollar for a washer only to find out that you have to pay an extra 40% just to keep it running for 4 years. No more Maytags for me, ever. Note to Maytag, you sell junk and your business goes into the ground. You are selling junk! Stop trying to squeeze every penny out of design and build, or you wont have a job.
