I wish I had read the reviews before selecting this Bravos XL washing machine. I bought these from Conns Appliance as they were on sale 750. Rounded figure... They were delivered today and the company was professional and set them up, I have spent the last 4 hours washing the same medium load of childrens clothes trying to get them clean. Ive even separated them into smaller loads and am now into the 5th hour of laundering this same load... Im returning them but its gonna cost me 15% restocking fee. If theres a class action please count me in. I thought because our Maytag Neptune lasted so long wed have a great outcome again with these, boy were we WRONG!

At first the Maytag Bravos XL top load washing machine met all me expectations. After 3 yrs. the top where you load bleach and fabric softener began to rust. This is not covered under warranty. My last washer was a Whirlpool and had it 15 year and never had that issue. So it cant be from the water, just poor workmanship. Very disappointed. Now my lid came loose and is ready to fall off. Would not recommend.

Bought this Maytag Bravos Washer online from Lowe’s in the holiday season of December 2017 because my previous Maytag HE washer broke after 17 years. I have had nothing but issues with this washer right from the start. The clothes do not come clean as I find myself putting them through the wash cycle two or three times to have them washed and come somewhat clean. The clothes come out soaking wet that I have to put them through the rinse and spin cycle at least one or two more times. I called Lowe’s to complain about this washer and they said they only have a 30 day return policy and they would be happy to call for service for me. I told them it didn’t work from the start but they didn’t care. So now, sadly, I have a repairman coming this week to fix my new washer, And hopefully he can fix it that I can use it and it can properly wash clothes. I wish I would have her read the reviews on Consumer Affairs about this washer before purchasing this Maytag. Not happy with Maytag. I would have never bought it and bought a different brand. Codes appear on the face of the washer better. Nowhere in the manual that I had to personally download myself because it didn’t come with one. And oh did I mention that I need a step ladder to reach into the bottom of the tub? This washer should come yellow because it is definitely a lemon!

We have a Maxima washer which is about two years old. The tub around the barrel cracked and flooded the laundry room. The repair person said it would cost more to fix than replace. Very unsatisfied. We are trying to deal with the company but not optimistic.

Original owner of $800 HE top loader washer since 2010. We heard a grinding noise for months, then finally it seized up. Repairman quoted me $300 to replace bearings. The repair guy seemed a bit too eager for the job, so I knew it must have been easier than expected. I Googled the heck out of it, and used this forum heavily for guidance. Seems the bearing failure is a pattern issue. It also seemed ridiculously involved and no one had posted a how to video matching my model’s layout. I took a peek with my own eyes and noticed a sock had gotten under the basket. The sock got caught in the drive belt and knocked everything loose. I removed the debris, tightened the pulley and everything worked. Cost me $0 to fix myself. So buyers beware before repair. And check the error codes yourself when in doubt! The first thing I did was check error codes. Found a great video here **.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos line washer model # mvwx500xwo back in Oct. of 2010 thinking that it would be great to save money on the water bill. I first had issues with it putting holes in my clothes. I then found out if you do not zip up all zippers and button all buttons, the machine will rip them up due to the high speed spin cycles. Now, the washer will not fill with water or start the wash cycle. I mean really, its less than two years old and I have to shell two hundred plus dollars to fix a washer that only cost $500. I guess I know what brand not to shop for next.

I like most others have experienced the same issues with the new Maytag top load WM. In addition my new machine dances across the floor like a drunk leprechaun. After Lowes told me that with my extended warranty Id have to miss work and pay 100 bucks for a service call I emailed Maytag. Needless to say they didnt even respond. Ive have learned a few valuable lessons. Dont assume that more money means better merchandise. Made in America doesnt say much. And please dont buy Maytag.

Overall- I think washers aren’t made to last like they once were. Growing up- we had the same washing machine while living at home. It seems now- they only last 10 years if you are lucky. They should make more longer lasting machines.

We bought a Maytag washer in 1987. It worked beautifully for years. The Maytag Centennial Washer we have now is sub-standard. It takes a full hour or more to wash one load. No quick wash feature. Today I filled the washer with soap, clothes, and pushed the button to fill it. It filled and inexplicably drained, wasting my time, water, and laundry soap. I regret buying this washer.

In order for the machine not to break you have to disassemble the drum agitator during normal use... Very poor design. Mine lasted just over two years. My initial cost was $570... Dont waste your money.

I will never buy another Maytag Product in my life again. The Bravo is the worst of the worst washing machines ever. They claim to save on water but the electric it uses is terrible. You have to be a magician to untangle the clothes. Anyone who had anything to do with the workings of this machine should be fired.

I bought Maytag washer 15 months ago and the washer is now leaking from the bottom. My floor was damaged from the leakages. I have not use the washer much in the past 14 month because its just me in the household. I will never buy a Maytag product.

The Maytag Maxima XL front load steam washer is awesome. Its reliable and does an amazing job. There are so many features and settings and it makes my life easier when it comes to doing laundry. My favorite feature is the allergen setting which gets rid of allergens in my fabrics.

Had this front loading washer 13 months when the circuit board failed. I pitched a huge fit as Maytag wanted to charge me 75% of a new washer for the circuit board replacement. Fortunately they caved. I like how well it spins out and washes well. The door gasket is hard to keep clean. Has fresh setting so clothes do not get moldy if you leave them too long.

Purchased washer in Jan 2013. Average usage is 1 load per week. Last week the washer started leaking from the rear left side. A service call discovered that the bleach dispenser was filling up with water and overflowing. Bleach dispenser?? I never use it! Seems that the new bleach dispenser hose line has a relief valve whereas the original part did not. Internet research has confirmed that this problem is very common with this make and model. However, a call to Maytag requesting what compensation, if any, would be available resulted in a response that basically was too bad... so sad... cant do anything for you! Seriously? An apparent common, known problem and all they can say is we understand your problem. Needless to say that will definitely be the last lonely repairman Maytag that this household will purchase.

I have owned my Maytag Bravo Series less than a year. After 4 repair calls, I called again. The service department was rude and hung up on me. He accused me of destroying the washer on purpose. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. DO NOT BUY Maytag products ever.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer 2 years ago and it is the worst washer I have ever used. My clothes are never clean. It is always out of balance and is so slow and takes forever to do a load of laundry. It has started stopping on spin and have to unplug it to get it started back then it sounds like a jet coming in for a landing and has to restart the spin about 3 or 4 times before it ever finishes. I have had the repairman to look at it and says there is not anything wrong with it, but something has to be wrong for it to stop on spin and have to unplug it for 5 mins. in order for it to reset itself and start again.

My washing machine is 2 1/2 years old. It is not overused, just 2 people in the household. Maytag wanted to sell me a contract for $320, I declined. After research I see that this machine has many complaints against it. I bought Maytag because they never need repair. I would like Maytag to fix this machine without charge or recall the machine. From what I have read, these machines are defective. The electronics are failing at 2 to 3 years.

Maytag Centennial Model MVWC400XW4 - Washer is leaking from the bottom and making loud noises when spinning. Called the Maytag repairman and right away said that the bearings were bad. He said it was a 800 dollar repair for this 500 dollar machine. The service call cost me $97. I immediately went out and bought a GE machine. I wont buy another Maytag.

Bravos XL IS A JUNK. I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2 years at most and it is junk. I called. Told/complained them about the noise during wash cycle and spinning. The 10 years warranty is falsely. The 10 years warranty is covered only 2 components in the entire machine ???? and does not include the labor cost of $130.00 an hour. Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. ???? If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. ????

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL at the end of June 2013 because my washer of 14 years finally quit. On the 2nd load of laundry I ran, the machine began making a terrible grinding noise. It sounds as if I am washing a load of rocks while its on the wash cycle. I immediately called the local store I purchased it from and they sent a technician out to look at the machine. He couldnt figure out why it was making this noise, so he called Maytags techs for assistance. They had him run a battery of tests and they finally determined they needed to replace the motor. Are you kidding me? On a brand new machine?! Now Im thinking I have a lemon for sure. They replaced the motor and the machine continues to make the same noise. Ive called Maytags Customer Service to let them know about the garbage theyre producing and all I got was attitude. The warranty only covers parts and does not replace machines, so Im stuck in the song and dance of lets try to figure this out and see how they can make this piece of junk work. I then asked to speak to a manager. She offered me a 6 month extended warranty for free. I guess thats a big sign that Im going to need it since what they are producing is garbage. Whatever happened to customer satisfaction? Its now just the too bad attitude. Now, I feel like Im being held hostage by my machine because I have to take time off of work for appointments with service technicians. Wheres Maytags compensation for my time and the hassle of having to deal with this? I paid $1000 for something and I guess its too much to ask for it to actually work. I am all for buying American (the machine had a sticker, proudly made in Ohio) but if this is the quality of work that they are producing they should be embarrassed to work for this company. I will never buy a Maytag again and am making it my mission to warn others of my expensive mistake!

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Washer at the end of last year. Within 2 weeks, I knew it wasnt a good washer and asked my husband if we could return it. He said, No. I dont like using the fabric softener dispenser, so I used to use a Downy ball. This washer doesnt spin hard enough to open the ball. I tried 3 separate times. Each time, the ball came out with the fabric softener in it at the end of the cycle just like it was when I put it in. It also doesnt get the clothes clean. Im using chlorine bleach, detergent and OxiClean and our whites are gray. It doesnt get the simplest stain out and the soak feature is a joke. If you use the soak feature, the washer fills up, the lid locks, it soaks and then the water drains out. No spin or anything.Normally, on the old washers, you could just push the knob in to stop the agitation to soak something, but not now. The lid locks, which I cant stand, when the washer is working. I would like to see if it is agitating or to add more clothes if I want. Im not sure who designed this washer, but they should go back to the drawing board. Ive tried every cycle and none of them work well. It also takes an hour to wash a load of clothes. Im just so disappointed with Maytag on every level. This was my first Maytag purchase and it will be my last.

This machine(Bravos XL Washing Machine) was highly recommended to me at the Home Depot by a sales associate. I broke down and took the recommendation. Oh how I regret that! This is a terrible washing machine. It does not put enough water into the machine to even cover the clothes halfway. It ties the clothes in knots! I made a terrible mistake when I purchased this!

I bought this machine about a year ago. It does not wash your clothes good. Stains nor smell does not come out. It makes this god awful noise that can be heard throughout the house... It suppose to save on your water and electric bill but no savings for me considering I have to wash items 2 or 3 times... The soap dispenser along with the port it slides in becomes molded and is not easy to clean, front loader. I never had a front loader washer with this moldy problem. I have been cleaning it at least once a month,

WARNING: Do not buy a Maytag washer, unless you get a very extended warranty. My wife and I had A GE, but it wore out after only a few years. So, we decided to go with a Maytag, since they always claimed that the Maytag repairman had nothing to do, which leads you to believe that they never need service. WELL, 3 years and 10 months and our Maytag blew its transmission. Oil is leaking from the seal, and its on borrowed time. So, off we go to get another washer. Just keep in mind that Maytag, and Whirlpool are one and the same company, so buyer beware. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention, there is a sticker on the washer stating that there is a 10 year warranty. That is only on the drum, which never goes bad, and the electric motor. NO OTHER PARTS are under warranty unless you participate in the extended warranty. My wife and I are going to go out and look at some used washers. There are places that refurbish them, and they have a better warranty, believe me. I am hoping that we can find one WITHOUT A FREAKING COMPUTER BOARD in it. Cost to fix my washer, according to the accredited Maytag repairman is $560.04. I think I can get a basic washer that wont stop working after a few years for less than that. Just in case you are wondering, its only my wife and I, we only do laundry a couple of times a week. Friends, Romans, Countrymen, At first I was skeptical and I once thought that I was the only one whose wife complained about the terrible soap stains and un-rinsed clothes. And finally my rinse and spin cycle stopped spinning and rinsing! However, after reading several reviews and complaints about the famous Bravo X He washer by Maytag and taking into consideration that there are over 650 complaints, making mine # 651. I now find I have lost all skeptical-ability and feel that we all may be comrades in this venture of purchasing the new trademark of the trade-mark Maytag. As almost all of us say our previous experience with Maytag was great. My parents had a Maytag since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and we were a family of eight. First we had the one with the rubber rollers, that was a work of mechanical genius. I even remember getting my arm caught in the rollers. Then my dad bought the spin dry model and that lasted a good 20 years. When I say the Bravo X at Sears it looked like the state of the art washer. However, and unfortunately I will have to agree with all of you. It is a piece of scrap metal and Maytag will not recall or recognize their mistake and make good on a recall or something. The least they should do is give us an old machine that does wash and spin to replace the new one that is less than 2 years old and does not work. I sure hope this letter does not fall on blind eyes. It doesnt agitate enough to move clothes around. Doesnt put enough water in tub, even on deep fill just barely gets to the top of clothes. Washed a shirt 3 times by myself to get dried mud off of it. 3 time it was washed bumy its self. Clothes do not to get as clean as they did in the old style washers that had good agitation and the agitator that was bigger than whats in these new ones. And water. Need water. We arent trying to dry clean. And even thats done with a liquid that totally covers clothes and moves around better than this garbage I have right now... Looking for an old washer to replace this one... HATE HATE HATE THIS WASHER.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) in 2012 and one day before my 1 year warranty was up, my start button on the control panel wouldnt work. I called P.C. Richard and they sent a repairman who fixed it. This was in June of 2013. Here I am now hand washing again 1 year and 4 months after the repair. I called P.C. Richard again and was told that all brands have their weak points and because I got it on sale in the first place, I should not feel angry.Now that I am reading the reviews from 5 years ago, I realize that P.C. Richard knew this was an issue and chose not to disclose it or stop selling it. I had my G.E. for 10+ years and will go back to one. As I have no money for another new one, I will try to learn to fix this one on You Tube.

Like many I have never wasted my time writing a review, this time I have had it. Purchased all new appliances from Maytag, biggest mistake I have made in the last 10 years. Front loading washer is the main culprit. Doesnt clean clothes, have had to replace the rubber boot on the inside twice now, machine is only 3 years old. Maytag basically treats you like youre stupid, resend instructions like that will fix their broken P.O.S machine. I will never buy another Maytag and will be sure to let everyone know what a piece of garbage, from machine to company! Maytag bravo - thought it would be a good brand/buy/new technology. Absolutely nothing to like. Complete junk. Bought it in June 2013. Doesnt get things clean and takes a long time to not do that. We thought a good reputation from a major brand would mean a durable efficient washer with a reasonable capacity and good features. Unfortunately we didnt know when we bought it what a bad design/investment it was. It has destroyed numerous garments with fraying and doesnt rinse soap or dirt out because it doesnt use any water.The bravo from Maytag is supposed to be low water efficient. Unfortunately, it doesnt use enough water to wash clothes, no matter how little or how much HE soap you use. It frays clothes, leaves soap residue, wont wash jackets or blankets or bulky things, takes forever to NOT get things clean, doesnt get heavy stains or mud out, the list goes on and on.... oh, and its expensive, and breaks down a lot. I cannot believe that there has not been a government recall where the people who were unfortunate enough to buy one have been given a large amount of money back.

I am so sorry to see so many people having the same problem. Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749AWM2 purchased 12-10-11. Control Panel needs replaced (260.00...service call, part and labor). Writing this as Ive spent the last 20 mins on hold with Maytag. Im demanding them to make this right. In July 2006, we purchased a Neptune Washer. The only problem we had with it is it does NOT spin the water out of the clothes after the wash cycle. This has been going on for about 4 years. In February 2012, we had a service person to examine the washer. According to the service person, there is nothing wrong with the washer. He said to put in clothing of the same type: All towels, all jeans, all pillowcases, etc. This is not the real world. This cost me a service call with no solution. On June 10, I called Maytag on my issues. They have no recalls or issues with this washer. They recommended another service call which I refused. I even offered the washer free of charge to the person I was talking to, but did not get a response. Never again will I purchase a product from this company.

When I bought Maytag Neptune top-load washer, it lasted three months. I had to have the rockers replaced. Three months later, the lock switches went bad. Six months later, the main circuit board went out. Thank God it was under warranty. Ive had this ** washer four years and it broke down once again. I dont have any warranty and the money. They want to fix it. Im going to go out and buy something else. Piece of junk. It makes no sense. And when the first situation arose, I did ask if it had been recalled and of course, they said no.

The worst washer I have ever purchased. Clothes DO NOT come out clean, smell musty after washing. Have even decreased the amount of clothing per wash. Cant use bulk load function: throws LF Code - Bad water valve. I will NEVER buy or suggest anyone buy this piece of JUNK! Then to top it off you have to constantly chase the machine around due to wash load becoming unbalanced. Now today have to contend with a burnt smell...

I purchased a set of Bravos 4 months ago and what a bad purchase! I wish I would have researched here first. Being environmentally concerned, I bought it because it was supposed to be high efficiency and low water usage. My clothes are being destroyed by this machine. They come out in a massive tangled ball, covered in ink and animal hair (after a wash or two, they are completely embedded into the fibers). Sometimes there are dry spots after I take a load out of the washing machine. No idea how that could happen. It torn my favorite sweater, ripped sheets, bore a hole in a towel, ripped pillows, and DOESNT EVEN CLEAN! I have to wash my clothes twice MANY times to get the dirt out which doesnt bode well for energy efficiency. Im calling them again today to try and get them returned for advertising that they will save me money. Not even close! They are a rip off! I gave my 35 year old set away and wish I had it back! Maytag is JUNK!!!

Model MWVC360AW0 has never done a decent job cleaning. Washing pods would not dissolve completely. Ruined a lot of clothes. Had to rewash many times. This is a piece of junk. Extended warrant folks at Home Depot no good either.

I have the washer. It has a bad sound when changing gears like grinding and there is no way it is putting enough water in it to wash clothes. It is a very loud and noisy washer, serial c42831812.

My husband bought me a Maytag washer as a surprise gift. I was so excited to get a Maytag. I will never purchase a Maytag again. I am so tired of washing, rewashing and rerinsing my clothes and still not getting the soap out. I have used every different kind of detergent and used with and without fabric softener. I have also tried cold, warm and hot water. I would rather use more water and get the soap out instead of using more electricity to keep rewashing my clothes and then in the end having to take a wet cloth to get the soap out. Never had to do this with any other washer I owned. Very disappointed as I always thought Maytag was the best.

The sound the washer makes while washing sounds like its barely even washing the clothes! I will never purchase any Maytag products and I wish I could return this one!! Lid lock issue. 2 years old. I will never buy a Maytag, or any other Whirlpool brand for that matter. I am VERY disappointed. A service call will cost at least $200 dollars so why not just buy a new washer for that price. Also, I read that consumers should stay away from automatic water level washers. They never work right.

I spent more than I should to buy this machine but thought of it as an investment to help conserve water and energy. Wrong!! One small load of undies will wash for 60-70 minutes, then still not be clean. So, I rewash them. Really, how does that save anything? I HATE this machine. Ive never seen a washing machine that will wash in WRINKLES! Lastly, I do not like the fact that I have no control over water level. I had one load of towels that the towel on top actually came out of the washing machine with more than half of the towel still dry. Not good! Save your money and buy a machine with an agitator. They simply clean better.

Failed after only 13 months with light use. I have a Whirlpool extended warranty which I had to fight to get them to honor. Then someone came to fix my washer and needed part was ordered, but part isnt available and company wont tell me when it will be. I have received 6 part availability dates so far. Whirlpool wont help. Over two months now without a washer. Ive asked them to replace machine or give me my money back, but they refused. The Whirlpool Extended Warranty group doesnt answer their phones, was put on hold for a long period.

The new technology on the washers is useless and saves no energy or water. People figure out how to get more water in the tub and use that setting. There is not small or medium water fill anymore.

I have always heard Maytag was one of the best so after replacing too many washers to count in 15 years, like Whirlpool and Kenmore, I decided to spend more for quality. I figured pay a few hundred more once rather than spending $400 for a cheaper one that only lasts 3 or 4 years. That choice seemed environmentally responsible and financially as well. However, I couldnt have been more wrong. In 2016 I purchased the Maytag Centennial top loader for $500. I really loved the size of the tub and the way it looked. I can fit a large comforter in it with plenty of room leftover. I also have no interest in a front loader after reading reviews. So I thought this was going to be great! Well it hasnt been. It has broken 3 times. The circuit board twice and now the bearings are going out in the motor. I fixed it the first two times but now Im done. Im done with Maytag, Aka Whirlpool. I think it will be a Speed Queen for me now. Im hoping it wont be a dud also because they are pricey! It actually scares me to spend that kind of money. I have really lost my faith in most companies nowadays. Customer service and quality has gone out the window. I think about how much this impacts the environment! Its terrible that appliances only last a few years before they end up in the landfill.

I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Do not buy this machine!

I have had this washer 4 years...I bought this washer in May 2016. It makes 3 very loud noise as it moves into its next mode/cycle. Found out this is normal. IF, it is close to your living room, IT is loud.. I called again, saw that it was not filling up. 1/5/2017.. IT will NOT fill up to wash my clothes properly, clothes were still dry!!! Came out, (they sent a company near my area), said everything is right. I have tried, by sending messages, many times to get them to check. No one seems to care. The machine allows water to go out the bottom, rather than fill in the machine. I watched it myself. THERE should be a recall on this machine, definitely, something is sooo wrong.. I NOW have to put it on BULKY SHEETS full time, to get my wash clean.. NO energy savings there... BUT my clothes are finally clean!! Seriously, something is wrong...

Purchased the Maytag Bravos upon recommendations from Lowes and Home Depot to replace a 20-year Kenmore that finally died. Since the Maytag brand was always considered to be the top of the line washers, we purchased the pair. About a week ago during the spin cycle I thought that a 747 was taking off in our laundry room. Called a local appliance repair service who said that there had been numerous issues with the Bravos series and to call Maytag to inquire about a recall. After 45 minutes on the phone with a very sweet naive young lady, she told me that the new models did indeed have a 10-year limited warranty on parts. However my 3-1/2 year old washer was not grandfathered into the warranty. I could (a) pay the $150 service charge to have someone come to inspect it or (b) buy a new one. I will be purchasing a new one but it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool product. Now we know why the commercial for the Maytag repairman is not running... Hes now very busy working on their broken products.

Lets see... my complaints are the same as the others. I purchased the Maytag Bravos set. They were the higher end units. At first, the machine was very quiet. I quickly had a control board go out. Got that fixed. Now the washer gets off balance on every load.... Every time it spins, it stop. The gears whine very loudly... Louder than any other machine Ive ever heard. I agree with the comments on wrinkled clothes. It also does not clean heavily soiled clothes as well either. Overall, a bad decision.

I have owned this washer for three years and the smell in the entire area of my home is getting unbearable. I have used vinegar, clorox, and washer cleaner and I always leave the door open when the washer is not in use. My other complaint is that even a small amount of bleach cannot be used on clothes without causing bleach stains because it runs directly on the clothes before enough water is in the washer. The receptacle for softener also does not dispense the softener properly. I am very disappointed in this machine.

Maytag top load washer. I dont understand why Maytag would make such a piece of crap. It takes so long to wash, that I can only wash a couple of loads a day. It doesnt fill. It doesnt get the clothes clean. My electric bill is higher. Its so noisy too. Never thought Maytag would make such garbage.

Maytag Bravos washer MVWB750WQO frame assembly and cabinet rust - I sent letter of internal and external rust issues to Jeff Fettig (Whirlpool CEO) and received no response. Then, I sent letter a second time with an attached signed receipt. Then, I finally received a call from corporate staff member stating they would replace parts but not labor. Labor costs would cost between $350 - $500.00. This is without the initial service call and diagnosis cost between $100 - $125.00. The determined parts list cost would be $700 - 50% for Whirlpool internal cost + shipping be approximately $425.00. This is more than the cost of a new unit or the value of three-year depreciation value of the existing unit. This does not make any financial sense. Whirlpool should provide a new replacement unit at their costs. It has been three months and with no successful outcome. Also, via web research, there are many complaints about Maytag/Whirlpool and I am not the first in regards to rust issue. Therefore, Whirlpool is attempting to limit their financial exposure by only offering parts that they have to agree upon because the labor costs will not support this additional investment in a three-year unit. It makes more financial sense to purchase new or be offered a replacement unit.

Maytag Cenntenial Washer - We traded our super capacity for the ex-large Maytag washer and we have great regrets. We posted it on Craigslist about 4 months after we bought the unit and NO ONE would buy it for $300.00 even though we paid close to $600, and only 4 months old? What does that tell you? I have had to add 5 gallons (bucket) with each wash to make sure all the soap washes out. Very loud, takes a long time to wash and just worthless. This last weekend, we tried to trade it for a used $150 agitator washer with a used appliance store and they said theyd never be able to sell it and refused the trade. What does that tell you about the washer?

Maytag Bravos quiet series 300 - We have had this washing machine for approx. 2 years and there is rust marking around the opening of the spout where the bleach is poured into. We also find that we have to do the clean cycle quite often. And it bounces and make a loud noise if there is not enough clothing in it… even on the bulky cycle. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE! And we have been loyal purchasers for 40 plus years!

I purchased this washing machine from Home Depot in 2012. I am amazed that it lasted this long after reading the reviews on here. It will not drain water, it will not spin. I see many customers bought the same washer and are having multiple issues. When will Maytag recall these machines? Overpriced and unfair to consumers to sell something that is broken or not reliable.

Replaced my leaking Samsung washer with a Maytag and I really regret the switch. What a piece of garbage. It has been service twice (thankfully within the first warranty year) due to Main control board failure. Seriously, these washers are good for nothing. Also, the Sanitize cycle doesnt do a good job from day one. Save your hard earned money and buy something else.

I purchased the Top Loading Maytag Washer and have had nothing but an awful experience with this washer. The dark clothes come out with soap on them. I then need to take a wet towel to wipe out the soap stains. I have had a repairman in 2 times so far and there is nothing he can do to fix it. Maytag said I must wash all the towels with towels, all jeans with jeans, roll clothes into a loose ball before putting in machine, use the extra rinse cycle and the longest wash cycle and do not load clothes more than 5-6 inches high in the tub plus 7 other things I must do to get a clean load and none of those things have worked yet. If the salesperson would have told me all this, I never would have purchased a Maytag and nor should you!

Just like all the other reviews, 14 months after purchase and 2 months out of warranty the control panel on our Maytag Dishwasher stopped functioning. The “10 year warranty” is a joke a covers 3 things. We had model MDB4949SHX, $550 new.

Neptune washer maxima XL steam - Our machine is only 2 years old and we feel the soap dispenser is defective. That little door inside to choose either liquid or powder is not flush with the basic cup and to make matter worse, there is a V shape hole at the bottom of that little door. Meaning, fill it up, and while you are looking for the softener in your closet, all the expensive liquid HE soap is on your floor! And when you close the door, if you wait for starting the load, all the soap goes into that rubber gulley instead of being sent over the clothes. I just got off the phone with them, they wanted to send a technician AT MY EXPENSE - when I do feel it is a deign mistake, not a use/abuse on my part. I proposed instead to send them a picture. They refused. I proposed to send them the soap drawer, they refused as well. I will never buy Maytag ever again and dont recommend to anyone to go to this Brand name!

I bought a Maytag washer from Lowes and bought the extended warranty. The warranty expired but Maytag is not taking responsibility for the lemons that they sell. I have seen many reviews stating that the bearings went on the washer. This is what happened to me and it happened twice already. I spent 798.00 on this washer thinking it would last for more than 6 yrs. They offered me a warranty for 368.00 or to purchase another washer at a discount price. The Maytag Bravos washing machine (Model No. MVWB75OWQ1 Type 580) is the worst Ive ever owned. The low water level obviously is not sufficient to clean the clothes as the clothes come out still dirty. I pre-treat stains carefully and follow all of the directions and 9 times out of 10, my clothes come out with the stain still there. The clothes never smell clean. In fact, they have an odor. My t-shirts still have a smell of BO under the arms and some of my clothes still smell like my perfume. They just arent clean. I feel like we put our dirty clothes in this machine and they agitate around in a little pool of water for an hour and they come out still dirty. The machine frequently gets off balance and shuts down too. If I had the money to trash this one and go buy another one - Id do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately - Im stuck with this piece of junk until I can afford to buy a new one. This was a total waste of money and Maytag should be ashamed that they have not recalled it and given its customers a replacement option.

I bought a front loading Maytag Cloths washer model# MHW3505FW1, SER# C71451407 new in April 2017, from Home Depot, since then it has broken down three times, with a water pump, a master board, and now another master board, we were told by the appliance repair service that is used by Home Depot extended warranty service, that it will take a month to receive the master board. Thats it... Never again will we buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product. This is unacceptable. Gone are the years when Whirlpool and Maytag made quality products!

We purchased a front loading Maytag washer in January of 2011. We purchased an extended service plan in January of this year. I noticed a very loud noise and inappropriate operation during the spin cycle. I called the service plan, who contacted a repair service to come out and check my machine. I was told that there was a major problem that would be very expensive to fix and that the Assurant company would contact me in a few days. The company called and said that they would give me 75% of the value of the machine ($650) because fixing it was not economically feasible. I said that I did not want the money; I wanted the repair that I was guaranteed by my service contract. They referred me to the small print on the back of the sales letter. When I asked about any manufacturers warranty from Maytag (the washer was less than 2 years old), I was told that they had nothing to do with the manufacturer and I had to take that up with them. When I tried to call Maytag, they were decidedly unhelpful and referred me back to Assurant.There are several issues related to this event that I wish to complain about: 1) How dare a major company sell a thousand-dollar appliance that becomes unrepairable in less than 2 years and take no responsibility for the breakdown? There was obviously a defect in the machine that took over a year to show up (we are a household of 2 adults and did not overuse the machine). 2) How could a service contract issued under the Maytag name not be aware of parts covered by the manufacturer? 3) Should not the buyer of a service contract bearing the Maytag name be informed that it is not Maytag (the manufacturer) that is guaranteeing the product, but a third party?4) Should not the seller of a service contract be required to display the terms of the contract in a prominent place? The sales letter specifically states Repair or replace - If we cant repair your appliance due to a mechanical or or electrical breakdown, well replace it. The limits of coverage are in fact given in small print at the back of the letter and are on the contract, but this contradicts what is displayed prominently on the promotion letter. This is false advertising and should not be tolerated.

We have had a Maytag Bravos XL top load washer less than a year. Big Mistake. It was JUNKYARD ready when it came out of the box. Does NOT wash clean. Weve tried everything.The agitator looks and acts like a toy. Will not run enough water to wash anything. We had a LG front load before and its hard to get use to having dirty clothes. NEVER AGAIN.

In December 2017 I bought a Maytag Bravos (w/o agitator) based solely on past experience (56 yrs.) of buying from Maytag without any complaints. A friend told me I wouldnt be happy with my purchase and she was RIGHT! It doesnt get my clothes clean to my satisfaction, my towels are all getting snags as well as silky sheets and pillowcases and dark clothes have a soap scum line on them. I have slightly better luck if I wash everything with the deep water level option but I still need to wash dark clothes a second time without any soap or fabric softener to lighten the scum line.I am very careful to use minimal amounts of high efficiency detergent but that doesnt help. I called Maytag and complained within the first month but then we were gone for the month of February and I just never followed up with them. Now Im sure its too late to do anything. I wish I had listened to my friend. Hopefully I can save another consumer from making the same mistake I made.

I sold my 20 year old Maytag set and upgraded to this Maytag Bravos washer. This machine takes almost 1 hour to do a load and they come out dirty. Only way to get clean is to set on bulky sheet which uses twice as much water as old machine. This unit should have never been put on the market.

We bought our set when they first came out at Home Depot. We gave a pretty penny for the set. The first complaint was soon after I got them home; the washer gets the clothes so tangled up its hard to get them out sometimes. The 2nd complaint is, for a couple months now, the UL light comes on and beeps. I have to open the lid, close it and it starts that part of the cycle over and it usually does 4 to 5 times before it actually spins and finishes. I put it in the shop; they said they cant find out whats wrong with it. They said the leveling rods are still new looking. I was like, I know its still a newer set. Its money for nothing. I called Maytag. They want to charge me over a $100 just to come out! Rip off! Do not buy this set. Beware! Im still having problems. I will not buy a new Whirlpool set because they bought Maytag out and I will not buy a new Maytag set ever again!

Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 MVB700VQ - My wife and I feel this is one of the worst machines sold. We purchased it from Costco 2 yrs ago and had several issues over the years. Pump, locking, water level, small clothing items like socks getting in behind the drum and clogging the pump, and yesterday a flooding issue. That is right, my Bravo 300 did not shut off and the water ran continually with an LD code displayed. The water overflowed into the kitchen & pantry. The wood floors are now warped. We were home so we were able to shut off the water as the washer controls (buttons) were locked and not responding. We spent the better part of 3 hours moving items and wet vacuuming the house. We now have a dehumidifier running in hopes we can salvage the wood floors and minimize mold growth.I will note that I have a home warranty (third party) that covers repairs on my appliances, this washer included. The repair man thought it may be the pump, a line, and/or the control panel/module that need replacing. The repairs would be covered by home warranty.... but not the floors. There is NO WAY I am fixing any washer that flooded my home.Yesterday, I took a 3 yr old washer with known issues back to Costco. I was not happy with the manufacturers suggestions that I buy parts as it was Out of warranty. Again, I had a third party warranty so the repairs would have been covered! It is clear that the manufacturer doesnt CARE about the quality or the performance of this machine. I have found a FIX for these issues. We are buying an LG Washer that is more $ and is highly rated by Consumer Reports. Stay AWAY from this model and current repackaged models of Bravo/Cabrio!

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

We have had Maytag washers in the past, and they always worked well and were reliable. Not so with the Bravos washing machine. It is by far the worst excuse for a washing machine weve ever used. It does NOT clean clothes. It merely ingrains the dirt more into fabric. In four years, we have complained repeatedly to Maytag to try and get some kind of remedy to no avail. Maytag is simply not interested in standing behind their product. So now, after two generations, they have lost us as customers forever and we are telling anyone who will listen; DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER. They are terrible and not what they once were.

First off. Maytag customer service is horrible. I purchased a Maytag washer & used it 8 time. It now doesnt rinse the soap out of my clothing or even clean anything. The washer isnt broken because thousands of other people with the same exact washer have written negative reviews everywhere online. The washer needs to be recalled & never sold again. I love my washer. I have had it for 13 yrs and has only needed repair once. My complaint is the gasket on the tub has black mold that grows on it. I have cleaned it with bleach, bathroom cleaner, alcohol, but it always comes back. What can I do to prevent illness from mold?

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

Love, love this washer. Does an amazing job cleaning colors, whites, and bulky bedding. If you like Tide Pods or other liquid pacs, this might not be the washer for you as they tend to end up inside the gasket. Powder-filled pacs are no problem however.

I purchased a Maytag Front-Loading Washing machine. It was purchased on 11/30/15. Approximately this January, 2017 the spin cycle stopped getting all the water out of the laundry. Towels came out wet, shirts came out wet and I tried washing a small bathroom rug that came out of the washer dripping with water. My husband called Maytag to tell them about this issue. They told him I didnt know how to load the washer machine. Wow, I have only been using washing machines for 45 years and now I dont know how to load a machine. Then they said they will send him a video to watch on how to load a washing machine. I watched it. I wasnt doing anything incorrectly. (Maybe someone should send them a video on how to build a proper washing machine.) I previously had a Maytag Neptune machine that lasted twenty years until there was a class action suit against the machine. The clothes came out fine from that machine. I just purchased an Electrolux front loader that works beautifully. Now I have a Maytag machine that is nothing but a piece of junk in my opinion. It cost $824.21. I have had may BravosXL washing machine for 5 years and it is now sitting on the porch waiting to go to the landfill. It has not worked properly since day one, did not clean the clothes properly and even left dry spots where the fabric didnt get washed. Approximately 6 months ago it started making a loud noise while spinning. This week it literally exploded and there was water and oil everywhere, lifting the floor in the laundry room. I am shocked that Maytag would attach their name to such a poor product.

My Maytag washing machine is nothing like the ones that my mom used to have. This thing is loud as it click, click clicks through cycles. Being a mechanical engineer, I assume that parts are taking a beating inside that machine to make all that noise. Then comes the wash time on this thing. With water level on auto sensing and one rinse, this machine takes over an hour to do a batch of wash. It literally stops dead for at least a full minute between each cycle then click, click, clicks its way to the next. It does not rinse very well as more often then not there is soap scum on the clothes when the washer finally stops. SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND! Maytag is garbage!

I have had and worked on many washing machines over the years. The worst design and complete failure of parts to easily align in Maytag front end washers is nothing short of staggering. Creating a tension wire to wrap a rubber seal that requires Hercules to install and easily tears the rubber is beyond ridiculous. Avoid front end Maytag washing machines like the plague since they may cause it given the mold and growth from excessive moisture when the seals tear.

I bought a Maytag washing machine September 2017. The lid is cracked. We were told by the repairman today that this is a common problem. The quote for a new lid was over $300. Of course we are not going to spend that much for just a lid. We will be buying a new washing machine and will not be buying a Maytag.

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! Do not recommend any top loader. The washer dont wash at all. My clothes just sits there floating in the water on deep fill. I have some white with metallic like marks. Ive have soap left in my clothes. I watched one load of clothes. It had a neon shirt, the shirt stayed on top with the bubbles, it just floated along around in circles. The service was crap too. I called about the metallic markings. They said it was normal and should go away after 15 - 20 loads. I cant afford to replace my clothes.

We went to Lowe’s to buy a new washer when our old front loader would’ve cost more to repair than was worth it. This Bravo XL washer is the biggest rip off EVER!! I, like others, have watched with a flashlight & see that most clothes are nowhere NEAR being wet AT ALL!! Let me tell you... I am BEYOND LIVID!! I bought this washer thinking we could wash our comforter at home instead of a laundromat and WHAT A JOKE!! It would never even wet a FOURTH of a queen comforter, let alone the whole thing!! My husband had to actually LEAVE HIS JOB to go home and change because his shirts smelled like a wet animal! People actually were commenting on the smell!!Believe me, we tell EVERYONE how ridiculous this whole energy saving scam is!! AND... I am having to wash clothes TWO and THREE times to get them NEAR smelling normal!! My electric bill and water bill have gone up substantially and again, I AM LIVID BEYOND WORDS!! We spent over $900 for this washer with the extended warranty!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN WOULD I BUY MAYTAG!!! And I have tried EVERYTHING to try to rectify this; I added less detergent, I’ve used the deep water wash, extra rinses. I’ve had the Maytag technician here replacing the circuit board thinking perhaps THAT would give me more water. I sure wish we could all do something for SO MANY of us being taken advantage of!!! Did I mention I’m FUMING?!!?

You can not add water to the fill, blankets dont even get wet when you wash them, you can do double rinse but cant control the fill, have to sit there and lift the lid up and down for 20 minutes to get enough water in the machine! The washing machines have turned into absolute garbage! Wish I would have come here first, whats the difference if I control the load size water or IF I SELECT DOUBLE RINSE? THIS WASHER 200% GUARANTEED I WILL NEVER BUY A MAYTAG AGAIN. ABSOLUTE TRASH FOR $700.

Bought a Maytag top loader washer from Lowes in July 2017. Have had nothing but problems due to faulty computerized guts. Worked intermittently and took a long time to wash compared to older machine. Repairman out twice... replaced computer board and still have problems. The machine was made in Canada according to the label. Hey Canada, what is going on making junk? Too bad that we did not know beforehand what junk the Maytag brand has become. Lowes should not sell this junk to help its reputation and valued customers.

Dissatisfied with the poor performance of the Deep Water cycle of Maytag Model #MVWX655DW0. Cycle produces low water thereby resulting in inadequate cleaning of clothes. Choosing another cycle to wash a particular load doesnt match what is recommended.

My Maytag Bravos washer is 6 years old. I had to have the motor replaced about 2 years ago. Now, it gets stuck on uL on every spin cycle. I had a technician come, and was told its just cheaper to replace the machine at this point. What happened to the Maytag man of old, the one who never has any work to do because the machines are built so well?!

July 2011, I bought a top loader Maytag washer from Best Buy. In October, after I had the washer just a little over 3 months, it quit working. Dead. I called Best Buy that said they only stand behind a product for 3 months and since mine was about 3 months and 2 weeks old, I had to contact Maytag to fix it. When I contacted Maytag, it took them 3 long, angry, upsetting phone calls before they finally made an appointment for someone to come look at it the next week. I was without a washer for 9 days and when the man came, he said it was too new for parts. He would order a new latch (apparently, he thought it was not latched and so would not run), but it would take a while to get it in. Hed call me. 3 weeks later it and he showed up. He said apparently, the latches were bad because the new one didnt work either. He would order one more and if it didnt work, he would have to order a new back panel and it could take a few months, instead of weeks, for it to come in. The second new latch finally came in and the washer still did not work! However, he reprogrammed its computer to accept the new part and it finally worked. By now, it was the end of January 2012! My new washer I had paid for in 3 payments had been broken down longer than it had run! Best Buy said basically, you buy it, its your problem. Maytag said basically the same thing. They were hateful and it took over 10 phone calls to get anything done! I was not reimbursed for any laundromat usage, gas or phone minutes, of course! I was treated like I was expecting something that I had no right to have, a working product. Once I bought the product, it was my problem and not theirs. The end. I will never buy another Maytag product!

Barbara ** purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer. The washer did not perform anywhere near the advertised and EXPECTED performance. A letter was written to the Maytag Customer Center on July 12, 2014 complaining about the washers inability to clean or rinse clothes effectively. As of this date we have had NO direct contact from Maytag. After reading many reviews and noting that I have seen over 700 people which had issues with this machine, I wish that I had never purchased from Maytag. I have had to purchase a new machine to replace this useless Maytag. When I ask a used appliance dealer if he would be interested in purchasing my Maytag Bravos, his reply was, I dont want any Maytag Bravos in my store.I have made an effort to obtain some type of satisfaction from Maytag, but to no avail. I would like 100% refund for this purchase. If Maytag does not meet the expectations of its customers, then I feel that a class action law suit should be started through consumer affairs. When you cant even get a used appliance dealer to purchase a used Maytag Bravos, then there is a real problem with the product. The purchase price was $616.55. A total waste!!

I could not get parts for Maytag Model MHWE200XW00 Type 832A as the Whirlpool does not provide after sales service. I purchased the new washer in 2010 and lasted for just 4 years. I believe they guarantee supply of spare parts (Inner Basket, Outer Tub and Rubber Boot) for 10 years and more.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT60AWB purchased from Lowes about 8 or 9 years ago. This model was included in the huge 2010 recall of 1.7 million units due to the possibility of heater-unit fires. For the last couple of years, its had a problem staying on the selected cycle: After being started on normal wash, it reverted to rinse only after a few seconds, but eventually quit responded to the selection of other cycles altogether. Removing the back from the door to expose the innards revealed the ribbon cable that connects the circuit-board head to the control panel had worked loose. Reattaching it provides a temporary fix, but it eventually works loose again. We suppose the screw holding the back to the door will strip sooner or later, but by then well probably be so fed-up with fixing it that buying a new (non-Maytag) one wont seem like a bad option.

I have a Maytag Series 3000 washing machine which, as many knows, is the same as a Kenmore. I bought the set 23 months ago and since then, I have had nothing but trouble. In my first three months of ownership, I had my first error code of which I had to replace the hot/cold water valve. Fortunately, the unit was under warranty. Since then, I have had to replace the CCU and MCU twice. Now, the units MCU went out again! Whatever happened to the Maytag name? How can I get this permanently fixed or replaced? Is there a lemon law for appliances? Any assistance would be appreciated.

My clothes come out extremely wrinkled and start piling after a couple of washes. I wash on cold and do not overload the machine. I am 64 years old and had always loved Maytag until I got this set 4 years ago.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL MCT because It could wash King size comforters/bed linen. I needed a machine that was large capacity. Also it was an HE washer that cut my water usage down quite a bit and reduced my water cost. Also this machine did a great job of cleaning my clothes and household items. The features were good. Variety of load type water temp if it was delicate, bedding, denim and more. I have had it for 5 years and so far no problems. It came with a 10 year warranty.

We bought this washing machine 2 years ago and I was never really satisfied with how it cleaned the clothes. Darker pants would come out with white soap/water lines on them. The worst part, 2 years in, the washer basket seal failed and the bearings rusted. The washer sounds like a tornado every time it runs. I got a quote for $350 to repair it!

My washer (Performance Series 4000) needed new bearings about 6 months after purchase. By the time the parts came in and after the A&E repairman rescheduled because he didnt know how to replace them, another two months had passed. Now, a year later and with no more warranty, the bearing needs replacing again! This washer is only 1 year 8 months old! The first repair cost well over $1,500 but was covered under warranty. There are hundreds of other people with Maytag washers having the same issues! Maytag is well aware of the defect and refuses to take responsibility. I would like to file a class action lawsuit against Maytag. Im in Tennessee. Please contact me. Thank you.

I spoke with Mike today at the customer service department at Maytag to see if Maytag would pay for the parts to repair my 04/2010 Maytag front load washer (model MHWE450WW00). The bearing assembly needs to be replaced. So, that means the tub and basket need to be replaced too. The original cost in 04/2010 was $1,088 plus tax. The cost to repair is $1,048. Maytag will do nothing since it was purchased over 12 months ago. I cant believe I just threw almost $1100 away on a washer. Obviously, there is something wrong when an appliance doesnt work after 1.5 years.
