For 75 days I have had a Kenmore washer that has not worked properly. I waited one month for a repairman to say it is broken. A month later a repairman came. The part shipped was damaged. A new part arrived a week later. After four hours, they installed the part only to break another one. Now waiting for a repairman this Friday. I can't use my machine at all now. I bought a front load LG washer about 4 years ago to replace my 15 year old Whirlpool washer which was still working. Now in the past month the washer started making a loud noise during all cycles of the spin including slow and fast spin. Contacted LG who sent a tech and they said it is the outside drum and bearing which will be over a 400 dollar repair.Now a new LG can be bought for 645 so I went to HD and ordered a new Washer, same LG brand because the salesman said I could still use the 249 dollar pedestal if I went with the LG brand. Today LG deliveries came with the washer and said they will not install the new washer on the Old pedestal since it was not bought from them now and they will install only if I ordered another 249 dollar new pedestal from them again. The delivery guys were rude so I told them to take the washer back so I can buy an alternate brand along with its own matching pedestal. In my experience LG is one of the worst brands of home appliance company and have very poor customer service.Raj of Melbourne, FL

I bought a Maytag Bravos top loader in Oct 2011. About a yr after having it, it started having problems. At the end of the cycle, there's still water in the tub and clothes are soaked. A couple of months after that, it started completely skipping the wash cycle, so the clothes would just sit in dirty water and do nothing. I called the small appliance co. I bought it from and by the time I get done paying a house call and parts, I might as well buy another one. I called Maytag because it seems they're all having the same problem and at some point you'd think they would be responsible for their product. They couldn't care less and the options they offered me were a joke!! Please, whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG because you will be on your own if anything goes wrong (unless you want to pay them the price of a new washer!!).Evelyn of Eliot, ME

I bought this Kenmore 800 series washer in December 2009. I have had repairmen here 3 times. The parts are made in Mexico and they are cheap plastic. Someone needs to do a printout of all these complaints and send them to their congressman to present to Consumer Affairs (Mr. Cordray) in Washington. It's bad enough that most of our manufacturing is outsourced to foreign countries, and it is time that someone starts demanding quality control. I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load Washer in 2009. It stopped working and I found that it needs a new control panel and recirculating pump which will cost $390, including labor (plus the cost of the service call to diagnose the problem). I would not have expected to have this type of problem with a washer within 3 years of purchase. I cannot recommend this machine.Patricia of Bryn Mawr, PA

My washing machine is a front loader. Previously I would not have purchased one, but after using it for a year or so I have changed my mind. I love that I can fit so much in one load. The quick wash cleans my clothes as well as the other settings in half the time and it's quiet! This washer has been through accidental shoes, keys, over fills, and its fare share of loose change but it's never lost a sock. Never had any issues with it. Always worked well so I can't complain. I wash heavy blankets, winter coats, rugs and heavy loads of jeans... They always come out very clean. It's a washer... It's cube like, mostly white, shiny too! I like this because it has a big load capacity. Not only that, it runs great and have had no problems with it. The spin cycle is also very quiet and does not shake or vibrate the floor. There hasn't been one time that I have had a problem with this machine. Also my daughter tends to overload it and it still always works great. This machine has a modern look. The one thing I wish was that I got it in a different color. The white is too plain and seems to get dirty very easy. Well this model was kind of expense but I was expecting to get a good quality product so I don't mind to pay extra for this machine.
