I have ALWAYS bought MAYTAG since the 1970s. But MAYTAG is no more. Whirlpool bought them out. I have an HE (first mistake)... HE... will go away just like low flow toilets did!!! You cannot wash clothes in 4 of water. I bought a top loading Brazos XL for $1100 (second mistake)... Have had it just over a year! I should have returned it but did not. Huge mistake (#3)... Repairman told me to get rid of it as fast as I can. Will eat me up in repairs. Now needs repair again for another NEW issue... The fill sensor does not tell the machine to load the proper amount of water. Now I cannot clean washer, tried three times last night. I am beyond upset. Repairman said buy GE! You can bet it will NOT be High Efficiency!!!!!

My Maytag Bravo washing machine is very basic and convenient. It was the first appliance I bought when I purchased my new home in September of 2019. it is commercial grade so I’m able to wash everything from towels to comforters to heavy coats. I like the clean lines of it and the knobs are easy to use and are perfect for my needs. It has wrinkle control, deep water wash, a variety of temperatures including tap, cold, cool, warm and hot. There is a fabric softener feature and an extra rinse. The push button Start is perfect and easy to use.

I have a Maytag Performa washing machine (model no. PAVT234AWW) and called the Maytag parts department to order a plastic pulley for the main drive motor. I was told I would have to purchase the 189 dollar motor just to get the plastic pulley. After two days web searching and calling local appliance stores I found that Whirlpool who uses the same drive motor sells the pulley (part no. 21001108) for 9 dollars. The Whirlpool pulley is even made out of stronger plastic. I just wonder how many Maytag customers have had to purchase a drive motor like I was told I had to by Maytag just to fix a 9 dollar pulley. I got lucky and my problem was solved, but only because a local store happened to have this particular problem so frequently that they were able to help me out when Maytag should be the ones helping out their customers better. We purchased a Maytag front load washer in May 2006 (MAH6700AWW). In November 2012 we had a leak and called a repair service. We were told it was the dispensing hose which had a hole worn in it and was replaced. In February 2014, we called the same service and was told that we had the same problem. Now in November 2014 we are experiencing the same problem. We have notified Whirlpool of this problem and each time were told that the machine was too old to reimburse us in any way. Guess who wont be buying any Whirlpool products if they do not back up their faulty workmanship.

The washer we bought has a leaking drain pump after 3 years. When I called, they initially told me the part has been flagged as a potential quality issue. When I was passed to the next level to deal with it, they stuck to the you only have a 1 year warranty policy. There are numerous websites indicating this has been an issue for these brands. Simply put, they dont stand behind their products.

Weve only had the machines for about a year, but so far they operate perfectly. However, the washing machine seems to take much longer to operate than my prior machine and is much noisier. But, the cleanliness of our clothes is great!

I bought a top of the line Maytag commercial washer. We had a number of service calls replacing parts, gear box etc. Then, they finally replaced the machine and all the same issues happened again. They will not take back their machine or refund me my almost $1K paid. The washer squeals when it starts washing and clunks all while agitating - I can hear it upstairs. After yet another service call (#11 now and no salary replacement for me) the result is that Maytag says when the temp in the house is 67 or lower, the parts in their machine expand and contract and will make noise. No fix, no refund oh, and no one you can contact by email in Canada to help. Moral of the story, dont buy Maytag.

I will NEVER get another Maytag product ever again! My not even 1 year old washer broke and I have been waiting almost 2 1/2 months for a part to be replaced. My partner and I are nurses working on the front lines during this COVID pandemic and I can’t even wash my scrubs at my own house but instead I have to go to a damn washateria. The “supervisor” told me 2 weeks ago that if the part is not in by today, 1/27/21, that a brand new washer will be sent to me. Well I call today and the people I spoke to denied any recollection of this information. The “supervisor” stated that she is “documenting all of the information” so when I called back I would not have a problem. Once again I have been lied to and wasting my breath and time. The customer service has been TERRIBLE and I cannot believe that this was once a “reliable” brand! Clearly this brand is unreliable and the personnel is also unreliable. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A MAYTAG! Save your money and buy a different brand!

Washer needs new transmission at only 3 years old! Maytags 10 year part replacement doesnt cover it. The company actually asked why I didnt purchase extended warranty, I thought I didnt need one. Bad bearings, it doesnt wash the clothes clean, $400 to fix it. Needless to say Im buying a new washer and it will not be a Maytag, worthless piece of scrap!

Maytag is the worst washer company. I owned my washer for two years and I had two different problems with it and now I have a 3rd. The first was the same day they delivered the washer, I needed a wire harness. I should have returned it then but I didnt. The 2nd was six months after the first one. A wire came loose due to the washer shaking and the 3rd, Im not sure why it wont drain but the tub is full of water. I called Maytag and they really didnt care as long as they got their money. They referred me to three companies that fixes washer. Two of three was already out for this washer. If I didnt know any better I would think Maytag gets paid off for every customer they referred to these companies. I would never buy another Maytag Bravo or Whirlpool product. Im very dissatisfied with their Bravo washers. They lost a long time customer.

We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. Clothes come out of washing machine smelling bad and you could see the soap scum on darker clothing. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

I have a Maytag Bravos high energy machine that Ive only had for 3 years that has stopped working. After the cost of two diagnosis visits, estimated repair costs are $734 - more than I paid for the machine. As explained to me, these high efficiency washers are in their infant stage, especially when I bought mine in 2010. I feel I have no recourse except to buy another machine. It certainly wont be a Maytag or Whirlpool model! I did research the machines at time of purchase. I thought I was buying a top reputable brand. Guess I was wrong.

Maytag Top Loading Washer-We bought this machine a little over a year ago and it is one of the worst products weve ever purchased. More often than not clothes barely get wet and then wad up into a twisted mess which stops the machine. Ive had to restart a load over and over. And, the clothes are not as clean as they were from our former Maytag washer which lasted 14 years. The new washer has to be cleaned at least once a month or it smells. We purchased this washer from HHGregg and they are no longer in business or I would complain to them about selling faulty products. I dont know why the manufacturer decided to remove the agitator from new models. What a mistake! We have decided to get rid of this washer and buy another brand. No more Maytag (or Whirlpool) products... ever!

Washer gets out off balance too easily. If I put in a couple of towels, it will almost invariably stop part way through the wash cycle. I was told you have a great washer! Its the last of the two-belt Maytags! My reaction: so what?

Same thing as everyone else. The motherboard/control board, the main face of the washer went out and this part isnt covered on an $800 commercial washer after only 3 years of residential use on a commercial washer. Menards refused to swap it out, saying this is Maytags issue. Maytag boasts their 10 year warranty and labels it right on the motherboard as a 10 year warranty, but the motherboard isnt covered? If the main computer isnt covered, What is covered? Just screws? I called Menards and got nowhere. Called Maytag and held for an hour then had to hang up so I can work. The warranty is extremely misleading and is the reason we bought this particular washer, because it says 10 year parts warranty right there, but Maytag conveniently doesnt consider the main control board a part.

Dark clothes are left with residue on them, have to run another rinse cycle to get them clean. Been having this problem since we first got the machine. Anyone else having this problem or got a solution to fix it?

For families where people work in gardens, work on vehicles and get just plain dirty doing things anywhere outdoors these agitator-less machines are not for you or me. Ive had mine for two years and I truly dislike it (Model MVWC425BW1). With different products I scrub dirt and grease stains on pants before they are put into the washer, scrub again when they come out of the wash and then scrub and wash again a few more times but I cannot get all the dirt out. I now work more on laundry and harder since I got this machine.This agitator-less machine is designed for people who dont get really dirty - just remove everyday perspiration and household grime. I think this machine was designed by engineers who have never done daily laundry for any length of time and theoretically thought it would clean really dirty clothes. They were really wrong! Having done laundry for 50 years, I now know that an agitator cleans better. It would be nice if other women and I, who have done laundry for years, could be on focus groups about developing new washing machines.

Maytag XL Washer - My new machine is awful as well. Black clothes are smeared with I dont know what... looks like dirt. The wrinkle cycle doesnt work and the bedding cycle forget. Wish I read reviews... silly me.

After replacing plastic parts that spin tub twice, now the computer is wasted. Purchased not even 3 yrs ago, now I have to buy a new washer because the computer system is not covered under warranty. REALLY!! The most expensive part. Not worth fixing. Never washed really dirty clothes when it wasnt broke down. Agree with the class action I would be in. Dont buy people and now I am off to pay to wash my clothes.

I inherited this Maytag washer, so it has been around a very long time (I have had it for 18 years). It still runs quite well, has 3 levels of wash/rinse, 3 cycles to wash in. Both of us...me and the washer are still kickin together. Highly recommend Maytag.

Bravos XL - This machine purchased in 2014 at Home Depot service plan, needed major repairs just over a year old. Tech working on this machine replaced the whole tub assy after Maytag want to just do the cheap repair and just do a bearing kit. Reading online all the hundreds and hundreds of the same complains Maytag has done nothing in good faith to replace these junk washers!! My washer is now leaking under the washer less than a year after the last repair!! My good friend purchased the same machine and has had the same issues and his has been down for weeks because the poor service person from Maytag service broke some of the new parts! Now the washer is leaking again. WHAT can be done. This not right!!! Public needs to be warned about these flawed machines and Home Depot is still promoting these Junk machines!!!

I purchased this washer from Lowe’s on 8/9/2017. After 3 years and 2 months, this washer would no longer power up. I tried resetting it by unplugging it and lifting lid 6 times. It didn’t work. The extended warranty from Lowe’s expired on 8/9/20. I called a technician and he found it need a control panel and control board. He suggested that I call Maytag to see if they would give me the parts as a courtesy since the washer was only three years old. I contacted them and experienced long wait times (51 minutes was the longest). I spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with them. They said no there was nothing they could do for me since the manufacturers warranty ended 2 years ago and the “mother control panel” doesn’t fall under 10-year motor warranty. Well, there’s no need for a motor warranty if there’s no power to the unit! The cost of the parts would be almost $600. It is shameful to not stand behind your product. I would expect to have to replace an iron or a juicer after 3 years, but not a washer. This was a major blow to how I would view the way they do business. I purchased the extended warranty from Lowe’s. I will never do that again. It was a waste of money. They didn’t make any concessions for me either. They kept saying it was a manufacturers issue.

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

Ran washer with extra rinse and clothes came out with dry spots. The only way to get clean wash is to wash everything on bulky/sheets. We lost every appliance in Sandy. If I had known the machine was so-called water saver I never would have purchased it. I was in a hurry. I hate the machine.

Like many others, my Maytag Bravo motherboard has stopped working after about 2 years. The clothes do not get particularly clean, it is extremely noisy, and the wash cycles are excessively long. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.

Purchased a non agitator washer 1 year ago. Constant frustration with the sensing technology. Cannot select a water level or load size. The expectation is that the machine will do that automatically. The water dispenses through the soap container adding soap to dry clothes which then leave white marks on dark clothes. All of the selections for loads do not have a water level close to covering the clothes. The only way to achieve coverage is to reopen the lid multiple times to restart the sensing feature. Another option is to add wet clothes to increase the weight to “fool” the sensor. Some clothes have come out of the wash still dry in areas. Every load, no matter what size takes a full hour to complete! There is no quick load to be done! I have paused the cycle to leave the house and the water drains from the machine causing you to begin your 1 hour cycle again. Epic fail by the Engineers to provide a user friendly machine. This one, as time goes on, just becomes more frustrating and yes very noisy during the spin cycle.

The Maytag Bravos Washer we bought had a stinky odor we couldnt get rid of. We found that clothes had gone over the basket and lodged in the filter above the pump; end of stinky smell. Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!

Purchased washer March 2017 and had to get it repaired twice by the end of 2018. The top loader even with agitator does not clean clothes very well. The repairman said not to fill the washer above halfway so I can only wash about 4 pair of my husbands heavy soiled work jeans. I won’t buy another Maytag.

I dont know where to start. This machine (Bravo XL Top Load Washer) is ridiculous! When I finally figured out how to start it, it did not rinse or spin clothes. I cannot figure out how to get it to do that so Im stuck with a washer full of wet clothes. To add insult to injury, I cannot reach into the washer to retrieve them. I am 52 and all washers are designed by freakishly tall people with NO REGARD FOR WOMEN apparently! Poorly designed! Poorly engineered! What a piece of junk!

We purchased a Maytag 4.2-cu ft High Efficiency Top Load Washer from Lowes. The pump went out within 6 weeks of purchase. Maytag could not get a technician to come to our area to fix the washer. They finally told me they would give me $150.00 for labor if I found someone to fix it. We ended up taking it to a Maytag certified repair shop. It cost us a $99.00 service fee. They ordered a new pump from Maytag, part cost 137.46. I called to get a reimbursement from Maytag and they denied my claim. Their reason I was told was because I didnt call the part in myself. I dont understand why they didnt even reimburse the $99.00. The washer was a lemon and Maytag did not honor their offer, nor the warranty. Very time consuming and bad experience.

Maytag Centennial washer - Bought this washer brand new and after the first 2 months started having issues. The washer took FOREVER to fill and to complete a basic load took literally an hour or more. Then within the next 7 months it stopped spinning out the final spin cycle. Spin light would flash as would lid lock but wouldn’t spin the water so I had to manually unplug the machine then plug in out cycle on drain and spin and that worked 50 percent of the time. Repairman came out and said could be a number of issues but he said honestly it would cost me a lot less to just go buy a new washer! This is INSANE! I grew up with the Maytag repairman commercials and thought Maytag was still top of the line but LEMME TELL YA, IT AINT! The Centennial is a total piece of crap so PLEASE don’t purchase this machine as I can promise you will NOT be satisfied! MAYTAG, STEP UP YOUR GAME BECAUSE YOU SUCK.

We bought the washer less than a year ago. The washer became off balance with an average load of jeans. The washer shook so violently that it cut our floor, busted our wall, and broke itself. Water covered our floor! We have now been over a month with no washing machine (still paying on it, by the way). We have had to pay to get our clothes washed in the last month = EXPENSIVE! The repair company has been out to our home twice, broken high-quality tools trying to repair the machine, and told by their higher-ups that the washer can still be repaired. Customer service only tells us that we have a repair warranty and the first repair has no time limit.

Theres always a problem with this thing. It doesnt clean the clothes, its always off balance, and now it leaks from the bottom side of the machine in the clean washer cycle. Its only 2 1/2 years old. Should of listened to the guy who fixed my old machine. Dont get a Maytag!

I bought this POS and paid almost 1000. Out the door with tax, hoses, delivery, etc. And it is by far the worst most useless pile of crap I have ever purchased. It just does not work!!! Its a washer that does not wash. It uses enough water to wash one sock and that still comes out stinky.. All my clothes no matter what cycle I use including deep fill power wash or if I add my own buckets full of water to the 1.5 hour wash cycle still come out dirty, stinky, stained and caked with detergent...Hey Maytag heres a hint. You need water to wash clothes and you need agitation to get out the soil, the dirt, the sweat, the stains, the stink and your washer does none of that. In fact I could get my clothes cleaner if I out them in the bath tub and swished them around with a broom stick for 3 mins. How could you go from the loneliest man on earth to the biggest scammer on earth by producing this boondoggle... P.S. Its only me and my wife. We are retired and our clothes are not even that dirty... Its just common sense. No water no action no clean. Ill never ever ever buy anything that says Maytag on it ever ever again and you can bet your life Im telling everyone I know this story.

I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing this machine. The plastic tub cracked and leaked all over laundry floor after only 30 loads. Part is unavailable. We will have to wait 3-6 weeks for a repair. Manufacturer will not agree to providing a new machine. Machine is only 3 months old.

Ive only had my Maytag Bravos XL Washer for two years and I HATE it. It constantly gets off balance during the rinse and spin cycle. What should take 30 minutes takes triple the amount of time. My washer is in the basement and I constantly have to run up and down the steps to readjust the clothes in the washer. Ive started to just stand by the washer now during the rinse and spin cycle. What a waste of time. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. Also, it does an awful job of rinsing out the detergent and softener. All of my dark colored pants have detergent and softener residue on them after they come out of the washer. Ridiculous!

Just got a Bravos Maytag commercial washer. Washed two throw blankets and the washer has a see-through window on top, and I could see that the blankets didnt move on top. How are clothes supposed to get clean if they dont move? It also took an hour and a half for one load. What you are saving on water you are wasting on electricity. I personally dont like them for those reasons. I appreciate the company in my town (little known), they let me return and get the old agitator type with NO sensors. Just love the agitator, might wear on clothes a little more but at least I know theyre clean!

I bought this washer (Bravos Washer Model MVWX655DW) in June 2017. My wife and I did plenty of research and only complaint at that time was that it made load clicking noises. We bought it and it worked fine but never really filled with water to a level which would cover the clothes. Today I ran a load and brownish water was seeping out from underneath. When I lifted the machine my floor was covered with old stains which looked like oil or grease. I called a local service company and when they found out which model I had they refused to look at it. They said that particular model was known for having issues and when they fixed it, something else would go. They recommended looking online for reviews and calling Maytag.I did so and after explaining the situation to Maytag, they offered to send a technician to look at it to diagnose, not free of charge of course. While I cannot tell you avoid a particular company, I can say MY family will never buy Maytag again. If a washer is well known for having issues within its first 3 years and a company will not try to make it right simply because theres no recall on it I will spend my money elsewhere. Seems fishy that this machine has a ton of 1 star reviews within the last two months and Maytag does not want to eat the cost of servicing their junk.

I have a Maytag Series 3000 washing machine which, as many knows, is the same as a Kenmore. I bought the set 23 months ago and since then, I have had nothing but trouble. In my first three months of ownership, I had my first error code of which I had to replace the hot/cold water valve. Fortunately, the unit was under warranty. Since then, I have had to replace the CCU and MCU twice. Now, the units MCU went out again! Whatever happened to the Maytag name? How can I get this permanently fixed or replaced? Is there a lemon law for appliances? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I bought a Maytag Top Loader. I soon discovered that it is not possible to do a cold water wash. After much communication with Maytag Customer Service it was determined that there is no way to bypass it. And it uses a lot of hot water, even on a cold wash. Their explanation was that the water needed to be a certain temperature to make the detergent work effectively. The same detergent that I’ve been using for 40 years with cold water in my Speed Queen. When I need to do a cold water wash, I go to my parents home and use their washer. Disappointing purchase, my last Maytag, for sure.

Maytag washer manufacture changes are not worth a dime. I suspect EPA made the changes, and engineering was made by someone that has never washed a load of clothes in the entire life. There is no agitator and/or supposedly made to conserve water. Well, it saves water alright with each load. There will be a 2 foot circle in the middle of a bed sheet that doesnt get wet; the same with a sweaters. I have checked with different stores and all made the same. And heaven forbid if you dropped a sock and wanted to add it to the load with the mate. The lid locks. I am both angry and dissatisfied and will tell this same story to anyone wanting to purchase a washing machine.

In September 2008, I purchased a Maytag washing machine (Model MTW5700TQ0) that had a faulty transmission. The machine was immediately replaced. Three years later, the transmission is again faulty. Maytag has refused any responsibility for repair or replacement.

The big problem is Lowes and Home Dopey, I mean Depot. I am an appliance repairman for 30 years. Their machines are built to a lower spec. Buying same machine from mom n pop store will help! Will cost you more but it will last longer with less repairs! P.S., While Maytag does make some of their own appliances, when Whirlpool bought Maytag years ago they shut down the Newton, Iowa plant. Whirlpool builds that washer and puts Maytags name on it. If you want a good washer buy a Speed Queen, go online and check their reviews! One more thing, LG and Samsung build terrible appliances. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them, just saying!

I bought a Maytag washer 6 years ago. Energy saver. Less water. Nothing ever seemed clean. Always white streaks and I used liquid detergent. So we went out and bought another Maytag with agitator June 2017. Never drains properly. I will never ever buy another Maytag product.

Model# MVWB850WQ0, Serial# CY4070329, Type 580-02. Bought this Commercial Technology washer 2-1/2 years ago thinking the commercial model would be heavy duty. It was only heavy on the wallet. The washer started to emit a loud roaring sound two weeks ago that never happened before. It happens on spin cycle. We cant even have a normal conversation in the house. After reading similar problems and outrageous cost to repair, Im leaning to look for a replacement without the Maytag label. My 10+ year old Sears Kenmore didnt have any problems. My mistake was to replace it with a more efficient washer. I guess New+Efficient doesnt equal long lasting for Maytag. You would think a major manufacturer would put in heavy duty bearings in a washing machine. Heck, maybe the bearings are heavy duty but design shortens bearing life. Enough time spent on Maytag. Stay away!

Purchased new Neptune stacks in 2002 and had several service calls on our expense and we noticed the hinges on the washer door were rusting! Ordered new ones from dealer but rust continues and has spread to top of machine over the bleach dispenser. The metal is falling off! Bad rust on the inside lip under door also. I contacted Maytag when I first noticed rust and they blew me off so I contacted the local dealer we bought from and they did nothing to help. This top load machine replaced a top of the line Maytag Neptune. It has five water levels. It has three temperature settings and four wash selections. It also has a selection for an extra rinse that I use for white loads. The washer is very reliable. Clothes come out clean with an average amount of detergent. Although this washer is more than fourteen years old, it has never needed service or repairs. By running a cleaning cycle every six months, it drains like brand new. The stainless steel drum is still as polished as it was when it was new. Even the hoses have lasted with a need for replacement.

Bravos x - Ok so I was checking on my washing machine balance which is off. I came across the reviews and find how horrible the machine is! Grinding at last cycle, and not wringing out clothes on some loads. I thought grinding and wringing out was to be that way since it did it from day one. I thought I just needed to adjust clothes to wring out. Balance was taking out some clothes but it was put in properly. Boy was I wrong. Im so pissed after reading all your reviews. Im going to contact my daughters who works for attorneys about false advertisement and selling something they know is crap.

I inherited the Maytag Bravo washing machine when I got married... should have stuck with my LG! The Bravo does not clean clothes properly, I have to wash fewer items in each wash and wash them on the power cycle! Wasting time, water, and electricity! Will be purchasing a different brand!

Maytag Bravos XL MCT (Disposable). Model number MVWB835DW3 Top load washer. I’ve read many of the reviews on the site and feel your frustrations. Let me start by saying, at least you have a choice of products. I’m stationed in Okinawa Japan and have ONE place to buy my appliances and a choice of two machines. Both of them are garbage Maytag products. The first one (model noted above) died after 18 months. NOTHING they could do! The “technician” they sent didn’t have a clue. His answer was to replace the control board. Time to receive part? Up to 30 days. Really! My option? Buy the exact same product. I can’t even describe how screwed over I feel.

My Maytag washing machine is nothing like the ones that my mom used to have. This thing is loud as it click, click clicks through cycles. Being a mechanical engineer, I assume that parts are taking a beating inside that machine to make all that noise. Then comes the wash time on this thing. With water level on auto sensing and one rinse, this machine takes over an hour to do a batch of wash. It literally stops dead for at least a full minute between each cycle then click, click, clicks its way to the next. It does not rinse very well as more often then not there is soap scum on the clothes when the washer finally stops. SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND! Maytag is garbage!

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

Dishwasher control board - This will be the 3rd time for this same failure with the start/resume button on control panel. Obviously, with all the complaints regarding this part indicates manufacturing is producing a defective or inferior part. The service provided by Maytag, which is supposed to be a reputable company, is a joke and non-existing. Like many others, here I will gladly be part of the class action suit and will never buy another Maytag appliance and will also inform others of their poor service.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos 400 series top load washer about 4 years ago. Paid over $1000 for it, on sale. Its bearings started grinding within four years and the seal is gone which has resulted in water leaking out through the bottom of the machine. VERY expensive to repair and ultimately not worth it. Pretty disappointed that Maytag products reliable for such a short period of time and must then be kicked to the curb. NOT a quality product.

The washer machine is only 2 years old and its broke, at first it wouldnt spin and now it wont wash. Everyone is saying between the parts and service fee, it will cost 200 to 300 dollars or more to fix, most technicians wont repair them because they say that we may as well cut our loss and just buy a new one. No one likes these machines. I wish I would have known what a sham the washer machines were before purchasing.

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

I have had this washer 4 years...I bought this washer in May 2016. It makes 3 very loud noise as it moves into its next mode/cycle. Found out this is normal. IF, it is close to your living room, IT is loud.. I called again, saw that it was not filling up. 1/5/2017.. IT will NOT fill up to wash my clothes properly, clothes were still dry!!! Came out, (they sent a company near my area), said everything is right. I have tried, by sending messages, many times to get them to check. No one seems to care. The machine allows water to go out the bottom, rather than fill in the machine. I watched it myself. THERE should be a recall on this machine, definitely, something is sooo wrong.. I NOW have to put it on BULKY SHEETS full time, to get my wash clean.. NO energy savings there... BUT my clothes are finally clean!! Seriously, something is wrong...

Do not recommend any top loader. The washer dont wash at all. My clothes just sits there floating in the water on deep fill. I have some white with metallic like marks. Ive have soap left in my clothes. I watched one load of clothes. It had a neon shirt, the shirt stayed on top with the bubbles, it just floated along around in circles. The service was crap too. I called about the metallic markings. They said it was normal and should go away after 15 - 20 loads. I cant afford to replace my clothes.

Just replaced a washer that lasted over 7 years thru 3 renters with the Bravos top loading washer. There is nothing efficient about a cycle to take 73 mins to wash 20 articles of clothing (t-shirts, socks and underwear). The machine dont wash the top of the load. Also the deep clean feature isnt deep cleaning. I recorded a video of 20 mins of the machine not washing properly before going into rinse cycle. If this item dont produce refunds of the amount of water wasted RE-WASHING and electricity because it doesnt clean on first wash, then its time for Maytag to pay my utilities. For the money spent on the machine, going to the laundromat every other week with 1 roll of quarters each trip comes to be I can wash for 4 years and will outlast the longevity of the machine before it breaks! Also bulky mode is how you get more water in the machine but will take 63 mins to wash.

After 18 months of use Our Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) has the same control panel problem as a lot of other user complaints. I wish I too had read the consumer reviews before my purchase. We will never buy another Whirlpool product!!

Purchased a Maytag Bravo. One of the worse purchases weve ever made. First the much of the clothes does not get submerged. 2nd the clothes comes out extremely wrinkled. Called the Maytag people and they explained that Im putting too much clothing in the washer. I explained Im only filling the washer half way. They explained it should be filled only a quarter of the way. What??? Do not purchase this machine.

I purchased a washer on 8/13/12. I had it installed on 8/20/12. It did not clean clothes properly. I went to Two Guys and they said they dont take returns and told me to call Maytag. I called Maytag and they sent a a service agent to check the machine on 9/10/12. They said the machine codes were imbalanced and over stud. They need to recalibrate the machine. I did laundry the same day and still find clothes do not come clean. I need to return the machine. I called Maytag and was told they dont take returns. This machine is not cleaning clothes as it should be and I want a refund!

I purchased this on sale at Home Depot, 1 year later this washer top load doesnt clean clothes if the cycle does finish at all. I have to restart the cycle, re-rinse etc, theyre still dirty. I dont have time for that, I have four children and my husband works in construction and comes home with filthy clothes that are just wet and dirty when they come out of this washer. I dont usually write reviews but I hope I can save someone else the hassle. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand, they all complain of the same thing. This washer altogether is BAD! ITS LOUD, it bangs around if I dont put in the tiniest loads, even then, they come out dirty. Dont waste your time.

I purchased a washer in July and its already off track. When I seen it I know it was junk but the sales person assured me it was a good product. 3 months later its off track. No spinning. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

My name is Luis ** and I own a Laundromat in Yuma, AZ. I recently purchased 10 Maytag top loaders model MVW18PDAWW in August, so the machines are practically new. They are the new HE top loaders with locking lids. Since I purchased them I have had nothing but trouble. Customers have complained about them on a regular basis; there are days when we have had as many as five complaints.First of all, the locking lids proved to be a much bigger problem than we anticipated. People want to open top loaders to add fabric softeners and when we have opened them so that they can add the fabric softener they are often disappointed with the level of water in the washer. Those people consequently refused to use those particular washers. People have pressed the buttons on the control boards and sent the machines into a loop; different readings have appeared on the screen. Some of them say out of order, sync and several other error codes. Eventually the machines reset themselves or I have had to reset the programming. In the meantime the people pass the word and those machines are not used by those who hear. The controls are too sensitive and are not suited to a commercial coin laundry.Whenever any buttons on the control board are pressed the time of the wash appears on the board. Because of this some people who are busy and are using and loading several washers claim that they have already put their money into the machines; they argue with the attendant or with us. Many times they actually believe that they have placed money in the machine and many times they try to get a free wash from us. Either way they are unhappy and they, and those who hear them argue, will not use those washers again. In most cases we lose them as customers and once customers are lost they never return.I placed them in a location where the previous Maytags had been heavily used, expecting them to replace the old machine. I was wrong. They are used very little and the long and short of it is that we are losing money and since our busy season is coming up, will be losing even more customers and therefore more money. I spent close to $12,000 on the machines, including delivery and installation and right now they are quickly becoming heavy paper weights. I have contacted the salesman who sold them to us, but he has given us the runaround and done nothing about the situation.

I purchased an Atlantis washer in 2005 and assumed that Maytag was still one of the better manufacturers. How naive of me! What genius at Maytag thought it was a good idea to place the water filter inside the washer? Not only can you not keep the filter clean so that cold water will flow properly, even worse, if the filter completely clogs, the water will not stop filling into the tub which could, of course cause an overfill and flood. I narrowly escaped this scenario once. No one should have to stand and watch their machine fill with water to insure it stops. Now the machine is causing a grinding noise when agitating. I expect it to stop working any day. I will not buy another Maytag or Whirlpool, who of course now owns Maytag. And I will not pay another repair bill for the filter or any other part. The brand was once considered the best in America, now its just another brand thats a piece of junk produced in another country.

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. Trust me never never never again!!!!!!!!

My washer is just past warranty and making horrible sounds! I have always liked Maytag but their quality is bad. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing my washer and want to tell anyone reading this to NOT buy one. My last Frigidaire washer lasted 15 years with minimal repair. Shame on you Maytag!!!

The washer doesn’t have enough water to to get clothes clean. Even on deep water wash there’s is not enough water. It doesn’t get clothes clean, its very noisy. It takes a long time to was, even on short cycles. You can’t soak dirty clothes, it has a cycle for soak but it is not long enough. After about 3 months the lid licking doesn’t work and the progress lights remain on and never go off. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I just want to return it and get a different one!

I bought this washer almost 5 yrs ago and oil has been leaking from it. Called company who sent a tech to my home and declared it a total loss. All he did was tilt it for maybe 1 minute to determine this. I am out a washer. Nothing from this horrible company. They quit making the washer but cant even compensate the owner with anything to purchase a replacement. Will keep passing the word.

I spent more than I should to buy this machine but thought of it as an investment to help conserve water and energy. Wrong!! One small load of undies will wash for 60-70 minutes, then still not be clean. So, I rewash them. Really, how does that save anything? I HATE this machine. Ive never seen a washing machine that will wash in WRINKLES! Lastly, I do not like the fact that I have no control over water level. I had one load of towels that the towel on top actually came out of the washing machine with more than half of the towel still dry. Not good! Save your money and buy a machine with an agitator. They simply clean better.

My machine is only 14 months old and will not even turn on. I opened the lid, and the tub was filled with water and the wet clothes sitting in there. There were only 6 items in there: 3 school skirts and 3 school pants, dripping wet. So I unplugged the unit to try and clear the circuit board - to no avail. The machine will still not turn on. The lights are on, the sensor turns on for about 3 seconds and shut off and everything just sits there. I did not get the extended warranty. My mom still has her Maytag she bought 30 years ago and its running like a champ. Wish I could say the same. I gave my sister my old Maytag - its 25 years old and its still running like a champ. This machine is a LEMON. I will never buy another Maytag again. I am so done with this brand. I hope that a Class Action suit is filed against them.

Bought this Maytag Bravo washer in 2013 expecting long service life like I had with my previous machine. After 2 years spin cycle noise got progressively worse. Until now it roars loudly and keeps stopping in the spin cycle for rebalancing. Called Maytag. Experience was as described as others have reported with them and their repair service. Absolutely no help unless I spend another $310 for extended warranty to cover the $380 part (tub and bearing - 1 unit - cant get only the bearing). Paid $800 for the washer now more for the repair wanted. $1100-$1200 for a machine that will need repair again in a couple of years? Dont think so. This machine is only good for a boat anchor. Going out today to buy a replacement for $400 and it wont be a Maytag or its affiliates brand. Feel like a class action suit would be good for Maytag to wake up to.

Worse washer ever, clothes are dirty and smelly. Customer Service is even worse. After a normal cycle clothes come out half wet, never enough water in the machine. Everything gets washed on bulky and there is soap residue on everything. Have taken clothes to the laundromat on several occasions just to get them clean. I cant wait to get rid of this piece of crap!!! Never ever buying Maytag again!! Warning to everyone... DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!! And with the extended warranty, they still dont cover it. :(

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer in 2009. I have had nothing but problems. Since, it seems that this washer was never tested nor perfected but just put on the market to sell to us, the consumers, the company does not care that this washer breaks down constantly. First the pump had to be replaced, then the tub was replaced. These were nothing compared to coins falling through to get caught in the pump and cause the washer not to drain. When I bought my washer, I also purchased an extended warranty not knowing that if the washer were to breakdown to many times, Maytag would refuse to repair under the service plan that I purchased because now they are telling me that by letting the coins fall through is abuse of the washer. Really so what they are saying is accidents will not be covered, I thought thats why we purchase insurance.Thank You, Maytag. I will never buy your product again.

I spent over $600 dollars on a Maytag Bravo 300 series. The washer has cost me over $300 to fix the latch and 2 months later, it will not spin. I would recommend to anyone not to buy a Maytag product! Garbage! I had a standard Kenmore washer that lasted over 10 years without a problem, paid $300 and still sold it for $100. The funny part is that I sold it to my brother who still uses it regularly and has not had any problems. So what is money worth? Your call.

We bought our Legacy Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in December, 2005. Luckily we also bought the one year warranty, because in January 2006, our washer quit running. We called Home Depot, we got the runaround and I think Maytag sent someone out. When he tipped the washing machine over, a belt was off. He said it happens. The next year, something else went wrong with the washing machine (not under warranty anymore) and I paid $129 for that visit. Three weeks ago, the spin dry quit doing a good job on the extended spin cycle. Tonight, I put a load of clothes in and though the washer sounded like it was agitating the clothes, when I lifted the top I saw it was just noise, no agitating. I cannot afford the service call, let alone the whole repair or a new washer.

My disappointment with this washer (Bravos xl) is that it smells moldy and musty no matter what I do. I clean with affresh when light comes on, leave the top open, etc. I have tried cleaning it with baking soda and vinegar poured down the detergent opening. Water does not drain from the bleach or softener openings. I have resorted to using baking soda in every single wash and adding an extra rinse to keep my clothes from smelling. The laundry room always smells. I would go back to an agitator in a heart beat if this hadnt been so expensive. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.

After less than two years the commercial washer we purchased from Lowe’s died. A repairman came out after a week and said it potentially needs a new control unit or computer. The control unit is on back order and we’ve been without a washer for a total of three weeks. The situation still remains unresolved and I’m regretting not going back to Samsung. After 9 years with a Samsung washer, it died and Samsung refunded the full price of the washer. It was a poor choice to choose American. :(

I will never buy another energy efficient washer again. My Bravos is supposed to save money and be environment friendly, but when you have to wash clothes more than once to get them clean, theres no savings. Ive tried different detergents, cleaned the washer, rinsed twice, added vinegar, baking soda and everything imaginable to get the clothes smelling fresh without any luck. I have had several items ruined because the bleach dispenser pours onto dry laundry. Im disgusted.

I purchased a Maytag model 4000 Front Loading washer in April 2010 and in May 2011, the tub bearings went out which is a $600 repair. Now in January of 2012, the tub bearings are going out again. Neither Lowes nor Maytag are willing to do anything to remedy the situation. Do not buy Maytag and do not buy from Lowes. Their major appliance buyer has to know about this and continues to retail a product not fit for its intended purpose.

Neptune 4000 washer - Worst washer EVER! Two weeks after we bought it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. They replaced the bearing parts. Only cost us 450 in labor. One year later, again the bearing but this time we insisted on full coverage. 6 months later, here we are again! Most expensive washer in the history of washers and this is a KNOWN issue - yet Maytag gets away with it while consumers foot the bill! Ridiculous! Never again will I purchase their product and make dang sure everyone I know stays away too and everyone that hears my washer is in shock that it hasnt injured something or someone. Its only a matter of time!

Failure to drain after 3 years. Was disappointing so repairman fixed problem, a fuse, in 3 minutes but charged $300! Since then I make my own repairs and have had no problems that I can complain about. Both Maytag Neptune drier and washer have worked well. Buzzer just failed.

I love my Maytag. It does a good job, however, it takes almost an hour to run one load. Also, if you have a heavy load, it doesn’t spin long enough so your clothes are dripping when you take them out.

This is a wonderful washing machine. For cleaning clothes it does exactly what you expect from a washer. We have had 2 Neptune front loaders. They, however, have a couple flaws I dont want to live with again and will be looking for one that has come up with the solution to them. One, the bearings on them need replaced on a periodic basis or it sounds like a 747 taking off. Two - the front gasket around the barrel has a mold problem no matter how much you try to keep the thing clean. Other than that, these machines perform fantastic.

Maytag Bravo X-We bought this washing machine not even 4 years (February 2013) ago from Lowes. We had this issue before the warranty went up a couple of times and then it stopped and started working fine. We contacted Maytag before... But of course beings the issue resolved there was no way to send someone out here to troubleshoot the problem. Now it is doing it all the time. A few months ago it went out of warranty. We are having issues with it going into the spin cycle and it will stop there and it will not spin out my clothes and finish draining. Contacted them and they want to charge money for a service tech to come out just to look at it. Lord only knows how much it would cost to fix.

Sears washing machine model # mvwx500xwo - This machine is the worst. My mother who is 87 years old smells like mold every day due to the smell that comes from this machine. Im not sure whats going on but the plumber told us there is something very wrong with this machine. Its not the hot or cold water that smells, its the machine. I am now concerned about my mothers health. Please advise if you will allow us to purchase another machine with some kind of a credit due to the serious issue this machine has.

We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

1st service call about 2 years after we got it. Put around $200 in it. Now broke down again. Service tech quoted $475.00 to fix it. So it was basically totaled after around 6 years. Nightmare kept getting LD (long drain) code. After hours of research I finally called service. Would not drain so I had to wring out a whole load of laundry and bail out the water by hand. Miserable experience!

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT60AWB purchased from Lowes about 8 or 9 years ago. This model was included in the huge 2010 recall of 1.7 million units due to the possibility of heater-unit fires. For the last couple of years, its had a problem staying on the selected cycle: After being started on normal wash, it reverted to rinse only after a few seconds, but eventually quit responded to the selection of other cycles altogether. Removing the back from the door to expose the innards revealed the ribbon cable that connects the circuit-board head to the control panel had worked loose. Reattaching it provides a temporary fix, but it eventually works loose again. We suppose the screw holding the back to the door will strip sooner or later, but by then well probably be so fed-up with fixing it that buying a new (non-Maytag) one wont seem like a bad option.

We purchased a Maytag washer model MVWC400XWO almost 2 years ago and it has problems with the bearings and the whole computer board is defective. I was told to buy the extended warranty for $350, which we did. As of today, we were told by extended warranty they are refunding our money because there are so many things wrong with this washer, including the whole computer board, that it would cost them too much to fix or replace it. Im in complete shock. We paid well over $500 and are still making payments on it. I spent the day reading hundreds of reviews from people with these exact same problems and Maytag is aware of it and will not help. They should not be selling these anymore. Im completely sick to my stomach. I cant afford another washer and when I called Maytag, they said it was past the year and we are out of luck. I cant believe this can happen to people and they get away with it. A washer should last longer than 2 yrs.There are hundreds of people going through this with Maytag and no one will help.

I have a 50/50 chance of completing a wash cycle. Most times, the washer stops working at 8 minutes remaining in ANY cycle. The washer will leave me with wet clothing and refuses to spin even when most wet, dripping articles are removed. I have tried to put all light-weight items together and that still is not a guarantee that I can get this done in one cycle. Most often, the error code comes up, I spin the drum around, move the clothing around and try again. This process is NOT energy efficient which is why I bought the ** thing in the first place. I am ready to put it on the curb for the trash man to pick up.We had a service person out and he said it is either the bearings or the motor (both a $400 job). I will NEVER buy another front-loading washing machine. At least with the old-fashioned top loaders you can get the load balanced and at least get clothing to go through the spin cycle. I am now hand-wringing clothing once again since the machine tells me when it will spin my clothing. That stupid chime is about to send me out of my mind!

I bought my Maytag Bravos top load washer from Home Depot. In one year. I had the Maytag warranty people out three or four times. The warranty ran out and I purchased an extended warranty from A&E. I have had them out at least five times.I called Maytag and they told me since that I didn’t get the extended warranty from them, that there was nothing they could do for me. I explained to them that this washer cost me over $900 and that I have had numerous repairs on the washer, in which the warranties cost me over $400 so far.How much do I have to keep paying for this lemon? Maytag will not do anything about it! This goes to show you that paying top dollar for a washer does not guarantee you will have a good product. In this economy we can’t afford for this to happen. This is a very bad product and Maytag will not stand behind their own products, but they are willing to charge the consumer high dollar for them. This is a disgrace!

This washer has been the biggest disappointment of any appliance I have ever bought. Purchased 12/2012 and immediately disliked it but thought I needed to get used to the new style since my previous machine operated for 23 yrs! It is loud and does not clean as effectively as my last machine. It stays in the Sensing mode for 15 mins or longer. Rarely will it spin as it should. Most loads, after the sensing stops and the lights go out, I have to move the dial to Drain/Spin, wait for it to sense again and then maybe it will spin. If this doesnt work I have to unplug the machine to allow it to reset. I called Maytag and was told there are no known issues with the machine. I google this model and find many customers have had a similar problem.

Owned my Maytag Maxima front loading HE washer for just under 2 years. Went to turn it on one day and got an error code that I later found out meant the computer board went bad (a very costly expense). I called Maytag and explained that a $1200 washing machine should last more than 23 months and if they stand behind their products they should do something to cover this repair. Even after speaking to a manager they told me too bad they couldnt help me. But they would be happy to sell me a $350 extended warranty.... Never again Maytag/Whirlpool!

I related my problems with a Maytag Bravos Washer a few days ago. A year and a half after I purchased the washer, it would no longer spin, among other problems. I was persuaded to call a repairman who diagnosed faulty electronic components which would cost me nearly $400 to repair. He confirmed that the washer was poorly built and strongly advised that I replace it. So, after paying him only $25 for a service call (he felt sorry for me), I did some research and bought a top-load agitator washer because the old-fashioned machines actually do their job - they wash clothes! I was duped by the high-efficiency claims, low-water-usage of the Maytag which didnt wash that well when it did work.

350.00 dollars for repair on a 3 1/2 year old washing machine. Machine wont finish spinning and lid lock keeps flashing on and off and sometimes stays off. Never finishes spinning. A lot of complaints on this! This should be recalled! Always was a Maytag customer but no more!

This is the worse washing machine ever. Wish Id never have bought it. Clothes come out unclean, washer cleaner cycle doesnt work, water level is almost none, etc etc. I could go on and on, you get the picture. Coming here and seeing 100s of negative reviews and complaints many of which I suffer from as well, just clarifies how bad this machine really is. There has got to be a way to bring a class action lawsuit or arbitrary suit against them. Im pretty confident that there are probably 100s more who are dealing with this shoddy washing machine as we all are.
