We bought this washer in 2009. It has only been 5 years and we had a problem with the lid, now it leaks on the floor and most of all it has been rusting on the lid, the sides and rusting around the bleach port. Rusting on the top edge of the outside metal skin. I am not happy with this product at all. The serial number CV0870202. Model number is MVWB800VQZ. It is a quiet series purchased on 2009. I am not happy with the quality of this washer and I will not buy another Maytag.

In July 2001 my husband and I purchased a 6-year old home. We are still here. We have replaced the refrigerator, oven and microwave - all in stainless steel. I am still waiting for the Maytag dishwasher to wear out. It has never been repaired because it has never broken down. Cleans dishes and silverware great.

This model MGR5875QDW range is very difficult to use. When you press broil for instance, the display says set. There is absolutely no indication of how to set. Therefore, no broil. The same thing happens when you try to use the clean function. It is virtually impossible to use the control panel; it is just too difficult. Therefore, most of the functions are not usable.The kicker though is that the handle comes off. During the extended warranty period, a technician came out and fixed it. The toughest part of this job is to get the oven door back on. I tried for 2 hours everything I could think of. Then, I got an idea to use Maytags live chat. They told me that I would have to call for service and pay for a service call to get the door back on. I told them that their clean cycle is too painful to use, so I am assuming I am not the only one who has removed the door to clean the oven. Pay for a service call every time I want to clean my oven or fix their defective handle design because the handle falls off every 2 years? That is not acceptable.

I have had this range (Maytag MER8775AS electric range) for 36 days. The hot surface indicator light doesnt come on (bulb is fine) and the heat elements turn on and off on their own when I am cooking. 36 days! This thing is junk! I am going to see if I can return it, even though it is outside the 30-day window.

Bought a new home in July of 2016 and the builder had included a Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer. They are THE WORST performing appliances I have ever used! I will replace as soon as I have the means to do so. DO NOT PURCHASE the Maytag Bravos XL appliances. The engineers that designed them should be fired! The washing machine makes an incredibly loud noise (like an old starter grinding in a 50s car). Im told that this is normal for the machine. Does NOT clean well and leaves soap spots on dark clothes... leaves them on light clothes but I cannot see them. Whites come out dingy even with bleach. The tub is so deep that I have to use tongs to get out smaller items, I am 53 tall and have never had this issue before. Soap dispenser drawer wont stay closed during wash cycle. Clothes are so badly tangled during the wash cycle that it is hard to describe the wrinkled mess that has to go into the dryer.Dryer issues: Very loud. Very wobbly and unstable, and yes, it has been leveled 3 times. Bed linens have to be separated at least 3 times during the drying cycles because they twist and wad up into big, wet knots of cloth. Infuriating!!! Dry time is very long unless you wish to cook your clothes. So disappointed in this product. Total rubbish!!

Purchased this Maytag dishwasher from a local Home Depot in Feb. 2014, no problems until now in late July 2015 (about 18 months). The control panel is not responding. Start/Resume light is off, pressing it doesnt seem to do anything. Cancel light is off, pressing it does trigger the cancel drain process. Wash Cycle choices either dont respond, or for 2 of the choices engage an incorrect cycle. Option choices dont respond.Delay light comes on when an incorrect cycle choice displays but stays at 2 hours, can not be toggled off or to a different delay length. Holding Control Lock or Delay for 3 seconds doesnt seem to clear the circuit board logic. Problem began with the Cycle choice buttons defaulting to Rinse Only about three days ago. I assumed user error so let that cycle run, then was able to choose a different cycle (cant remember which one) which also completed. But since then the control panel behaves not at all or incorrectly as described above. Seems to be a common Maytag control board/panel problem, so will probably replace (with something other than Maytag) rather than repair.

We have had Maytag washers in the past, and they always worked well and were reliable. Not so with the Bravos washing machine. It is by far the worst excuse for a washing machine weve ever used. It does NOT clean clothes. It merely ingrains the dirt more into fabric. In four years, we have complained repeatedly to Maytag to try and get some kind of remedy to no avail. Maytag is simply not interested in standing behind their product. So now, after two generations, they have lost us as customers forever and we are telling anyone who will listen; DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER. They are terrible and not what they once were.

I purchased my Maytag 4 door refrigerator with the freezer at the bottom (model #MFX2570AEM) in December of 2012. A couple months ago it started leaking small amounts of water. I now notice that there is such a build-up of ice under the freezer drawer that it wont even close properly. I, like all the other consumers that have complained am fuming mad. I purchased the Maytag brand because of its great reputation for quality products. However, this is totally unacceptable that I should be having issues with this refrigerator less than 3 years later. Shame on you, Maytag!!!

We bought a washer & dryer from Home Depot 2 1/2 years ago. The control board went out on my washer. I called Maytag and they wanted $109 for a diagnostic fee and wouldnt tell me how much the labor would be. A control board costs $350. So by the time all is said and done... the money would be better spent buying a new one. Maytags slogan of dependability lasts is a bunch of hooey. Washers should last more than 2 1/2 years and Maytag should back up their appliances. They just lost a customer.

Wow! I wished I had reviewed this page before purchasing a Maytag. We bought a new Maytag Range (#MGR5751BDD) from Menards in March 2008. Within a couple of months, we were out of a stove. I was lighting the burner to make dinner for my family (it is a gas range) and all the burners started making a clicking noise and they caught on fire. Luckily, my husband was nearby and took the fire extinguisher to it.We thought for sure that the house was going to be gone. We contacted Maytag and they had a guy come out (wasnt the friendliest and cted like he could care less). He stated there was wiring that was bad but because we took the fire extinguisher to it we probably voided the warranty. What? He would submit a report to Maytag.Maytag reluctantly gave us some money but not near enough to cover the stove that was only a couple of months old. Now, I cant use the new range that is 2.5 years old. It pops and spurts because the regulator needs to be replaced. The bad thing is by the time we pay for a repairman and the new part, it will cost us a lot of money we cant afford. This stinks.

Bravos washer purchased Sept. 2016. I purchased the Maytag washer based on experience and reputation. I am so disappointed in this washer. I have had the control board replaced after only 3 months and it vibrates, shakes and is very noisy. It does not fill with enough water and the clothes are tangled at the end of the wash. I will never buy another Maytag.

Our Maytag dryer is only, maybe, 3 years old. I do not dry towels, jeans or heavy sweatshirts in it (I line dry and then soften up in dryer). I clean the lint filter each time. Our heating element has gone for the second time. The first time it cost $200-250 to repair. It is so sad that our appliances are not made to last as they did. Or is it just Maytag? You can be sure we will not buy another Maytag item. I am looking into recalls at this time.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in March 2013 and the control panel failed in July 2014. I, along with hundreds or thousands of others it seems, discovered that this is an extremely common issue with several models of Maytag dishwashers. Rather than standing behind their products and making it right for their customers, Maytag is hiding behind their one year warranty and refusing to do anything about it or even admit they installed thousands of FAULTY control panels. This has been an expensive, infuriating issue to deal with and I have never been so dissatisfied with a company. Bottom line, they made a bad product that should have been recalled. It blows my mind that they are getting away with this. I wish I had known the recent changes in Maytag/Whirlpool and I wish I had done my research prior to the purchase.

The last Maytag washer was great, the dryer not so much, but I was able to repair it. This Bravos is sorry. 4 years old and the tube goes bad is not what you would expect from Maytag. Consequences, no more Maytag or GE for that matter, that dont leave many brands to choose from.

Two years ago I purchased a Maytag commercial technology top-load washer. It only two options for water level, either deep water or Auto sensor. Because I live alone I have very small amounts of clothing to wash at a time. Therefore I was excited about the auto sense to save water. However when using the auto sensor theres such a small amount of water in the drum it does not cover the clothes being washed and often I have items of clothing come out of the wash cycle and rinse cycle with dry spots on them yet. The clothes dont get clean and begin to smell stale shortly after theyve been washed. I contacted the business from which I purchased the machine and they were not able nor willing to do anything about my dissatisfaction. This is the worst Appliance I have ever purchased in my 64 years hows life. I hate this washer. It is totally ineffective. And now Im stuck with it and dirty clothes.

I have had nothing except trouble with my new Maytag Bravos washer! I first had a suspension arm or something like that replaced along with the agitator. My water cycle has never worked correctly since it was new. I take out the clothes and half are still dry. My daughter washed her kids’ clothes in the washer while she was living with us and the stains did not come out. She thought that is really unusual since they werent stains that normally you would see left on the clothes. I went to my father-in-law’s house (they have a front loading Bosch), took her detergent with her that she used here and guess what? It’s just one washing and the stain was gone. She had washed the clothes in our washer at least 7 times trying to get out the stain. Now, we have such a loud noise that it sounds like it is going to take off. Then, the bottom of the washer started to leak. We took it out and checked it and we cant find the leak. The clothes smell awful when they come out of the wash. I dont know if it is bacteria build up. I use the cycle cleaner when I am supposed to. This is so sad. This is the first time I have had matching washer and dryer and I wish I would have kept my old Sears model that worked great. I havent decided if we want to fix it. With the price to fix it, I can buy one I might like. Never will I buy Maytag again or another Whirlpool without checking out the reports.

We bought a maytag dishwasher three years ago. Approximately nine moths later the control panel went bad. They came and replaced it. Approximately six months later they came again and replaced it. Approximately a few months later it went bad again. I complained to Home Depot and they replaced the dishwasher. Too bad they would not change the brand. Guess what? Here we sit, not quite two years later and again the control panel went bad just past the warranty. The cost to repair almost $470.00. Paid $525.00 for the dishwasher in the first place. I regret ever leaving whirlpool. Our first very heavily used dishwasher (whirlpool) lasted 11 years no problems.

Purchased this maytag oven from home depot November 2011. Oven has been working properly since install. The top burner controls do operate too easy and you can just brush up against the stove and turn the gas on which I seen here was mentioned. My major issue is the stainless steel finish that was applied. It appears that this metal was not properly prepared prior to applying the finish. The oven door is with rust blisters. The metal under the coating is causing this problem. The finish in the other areas is with no problems... No chemicals have been used to clean this oven.Customer service of maytag stated that this stove only has a one year warranty... so if you buy any maytag just remember one year and when it breaks down the cost to fix will be more than a new defective maytag stove. I will not purchase another maytag product and I do not recommend that this manufacturer be considered when purchasing any appliance.

I bought a Maytag Bravo Series 300 washer and dryer for $2,000. The dryer is fine, so far, but the washer is dead. I have not received any answers from Maytag and the product is already outside of its warranty. I only had it for two years.

I paid $512.00. 5-09 Bob Millers Appliance replaced the door because it bubbled. 10-11 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 3-12 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 10-16 Door handle broke off again under normal wear and tear. 12/14/16 I went to Bob Millers Appliances and was told to contact Whirlpool. 12/16/16 I called Whirlpool, Tina said, yes it is excessive but it is not under warranty and they do not make the microwave any longer and they cant do anything to repair it and they can not fix the issue. I find it how to believe Im the only person who has had this issue. I dont have kids. Its only me that uses it.

Maytag gas range 5 burners. Maytag is quality. Period. I doubt that other brands are made as well. From the handle of the oven door to the ease of cleaning the burners, you wont find better for the price. I look for quality and reliability. I read reviews. A deal breaker on any major purchased would be too many bad reviews and shoddy materials or construction. This range has 3 regular burners, one large burner and one small burner. The oven shelves easily adjust from one level to another. The controls are easy to reach and the timer and bake controls are easy to operate.

Fire Danger. We had a power outage and my Maytag gas range/double oven (Model: MGR6875ADS) was dead after the power came back on. We figured it was the control board and braced for the expense to replace it. A few days later, I plugged the oven back in just to see if it would work and it did! The control panel came back on and we were up and running. The good news end there. On Christmas Eve, we came home to a house full of smoke with fire alarms buzzing. A butcher block style cutting board that was on top of the range with Santas cookies on it was on fire. Twenty more minutes and the house would have been gone.

We purchased a Bravo HE washer about a year ago after our old Maytag finally died after 17 years. Our new one is more quiet, does a good job with less water although the cycle times are a bit longer.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. The repair people that were sent to address the problem were great but the Maytag people did not care. I bought a new electric convection oven, the convection never worked. The repair people came out several times and checked and adjusted to try to fix the issues but the oven is totally inconsistent. Even the repair people thought I should have gotten a better response from Maytag! Maytag just said that I had a repair but not replace warranty - of course the warranty period is over now. I had trouble from the beginning, I would never buy another Maytag product. I thought that a company that supposedly has a great reputation would care more about their customer.

In April 2010, I replaced my washing machine (still functioning after 12 yrs) to upgrade to what I believed to be the top of the line Maytag Bravo 5.2 HE washing machine. Module # MVWB850WL0 type: 580-02. This machine of 3.5 yrs leaks underneath and after having the service tech come to look he advised me it will cost over $800 to fix (I paid over $900 for this unit). He says its the bearings and went on to ask me if Id been using the HE laundry soap (as if Im an idiot) and went on to ask whether Id been washing bedding. SERIOUSLY?!? !... After much research on this issue, I discover that there are similar complaints all over North America. Very disappointed and I want this lemon replaced by Maytag.

We have a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator and after 2 years normal use it started leaking water onto the floor every day. After researching this problem I see that it is a widespread issue originating from an engineering mistake. I spent a weekend afternoon taking apart the freezer, clearing the frozen drain line, and putting it all back together. Im assuming this will keep happening every so often since it is a Design Flaw! Do yourself a favor and avoid Maytag!

The Maytag Neptune TL washing machine has always been extremely loud! It smells awful and now our clothes too! I have found mold in the washer and cannot get it all out even with bleach. My children are extremely allergic to mold and they have had problems because of this. I am very disappointed in this washer and find it sad that no kind of action has taken place to help people who have bought them.

Our Maytag oven (not sure model) in the first year started doing crazy things with the oven computer. The oven would shut off and come back on and the display would be garbled. Also when my girlfriend tried to pull the turkey out, the rack fell off the left side and dumped all the juices into the oven. She almost got burned and there was a lot of smoke. The freakin rack should never fall off! Also our dishwasher is on its second control board. I lived by Mr. Maytag and his airplanes/helicopters at Crest airpark in Covington, WA. I wish I still did. Id like to ask him what he thinks of his crappy products. You get nothing for your money anymore. Im not sure but Ill bet both of my problems with these products have something to do with saving a buck by making this crap in Mexico or some other *** hole. Im just glad Maytag doesnt make airplanes or medical equipment.

I bought this washer in November of 2012 thinking it’s one of the best because it is a Maytag. Five months later, the wash machine needed a new gear case because it was making this horrible loud noise when it was washing and spinning. The service guy came over and replaced this part. Now, the washer does not want to spin. The clothes are soaked, and I have to stand there and manually turn the knob to spin it; and it still doesnt spin right. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a washing machine, and I regret ever buying this Maytag. They should recall this series of washers because there is something really wrong when you have to have it repaired twice, and it is not even a year old!

I am also frustrated with Maytag for the same exact problem... The control panel and the dishwasher not working just after our year warranty went out. I purchased this product because we had a good experience with a Maytag Dishwasher lasting about 20 years, only to get fooled that the quality is not there any longer. This seems like BAD business on Maytag, Whirlpool, and Home Depot! How can we get an official complaint to someone who can fix this? Another example of big businesses that do not care to take care of customers! Why would a company like Home Depot continue to support this business!!

Works like a Dream!! My dryer is an older model Maytag and it works wondrous. I have tried the newer energy efficient kinds and I feel like they dont dry well or make my clothes smell clean. My older maytag works fast, efficiently and I love how my clothes feel fluffed and smell fantastic!

Bravos XL Top loading High Efficiency Low Water Washer and Dryer - I gave this washing machine a 1 star but would give it a 0 star or less if the choice was available. I agree with everything others have voiced about this washer. I end up using the bulky cycle for everything because it is the only cycle I have found that will use enough water to get the clothes moving around. All the other cycles are a joke. First you must put everything around the wall of the tub away from the so called agitator. Then about 2 cups of water enters the machine. It then goes into this high speed spin. In my opinion it just pushes any soil deeper into the fibers. The drum will then spin slowly and water will spray on the clothes for several minutes but the washer never fills with enough water to cover the clothes. Watching it agitate through the glass top is almost hysterical. Laundry is barely moving. The high speed spin they push as a selling point puts deep wrinkles in everything and the wrinkle control setting on the dryer does nothing for them. It is absolutely the worst machine I have ever owned. My husband has repeatedly told me to sell these and buy another set. I will be ashamed to sell it to anyone. Im not sure how the makers of Maytag got away with selling these machines. I know there are different models but from what I have read they all work the same. I replaced a very low end GE Washer and Dryer with this pair and every time I do laundry I wish I had them back. The matching dryer is very costly to run as almost every load takes 2 cycles to get items dry. Nothing comes out completely dry even if you put it on the more dry setting.

Like many others, my Maytag Bravo motherboard has stopped working after about 2 years. The clothes do not get particularly clean, it is extremely noisy, and the wash cycles are excessively long. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.

Purchased Maytag Jetclean Dishwasher Model # MDB7749SBM3 on March 19, 2014 and on June 10, 2017 the washer would not go through the cycles properly. So I got on the internet to check out the problem. Maytag has very flimsy wiring circuit on the back of the control panel that rusts out due to being close to high-temperature water. Obviously a design flaw. The only way to fix it is to replace the control panel for $150 dollars with another flawed part. Do not buy Maytag dishwasher.

The Maytag washer is very quiet & economical by filling the amount of water needed per load so actually a money saver. Also got the huge drum to wash quilts & blankets. My old one lasted 10++ years. Hopefully get as many years out of the new one.

I bought this washer (Bravos Washer Model MVWX655DW) in June 2017. My wife and I did plenty of research and only complaint at that time was that it made load clicking noises. We bought it and it worked fine but never really filled with water to a level which would cover the clothes. Today I ran a load and brownish water was seeping out from underneath. When I lifted the machine my floor was covered with old stains which looked like oil or grease. I called a local service company and when they found out which model I had they refused to look at it. They said that particular model was known for having issues and when they fixed it, something else would go. They recommended looking online for reviews and calling Maytag.I did so and after explaining the situation to Maytag, they offered to send a technician to look at it to diagnose, not free of charge of course. While I cannot tell you avoid a particular company, I can say MY family will never buy Maytag again. If a washer is well known for having issues within its first 3 years and a company will not try to make it right simply because theres no recall on it I will spend my money elsewhere. Seems fishy that this machine has a ton of 1 star reviews within the last two months and Maytag does not want to eat the cost of servicing their junk.

This washer had good reviews when we bought it, but now today the agitator is not working. I see there are now 100s of bad reviews of this machine most around the same 1 1/2 year mark. How unacceptable to have a large appliance like this break after such a short time. Ive called Maytag to see if there was a recall and there is not. They offered the extended warranty to me for $325 that would cover all parts and labor. Ridiculous.

I purchased the Bravos X washer approximately 13 mos ago. Washer was noisy and has deteriorated since installation. I questioned the ability of a non agitator appliance getting close clean but was assured it would. Not the best if clothes are just moving against clothes. The machine had a difficult time in between adjusting to wash balancing a 3x event upon starting. It leaked intermittently during spin cycles and stopped due to unbalanced loads, sometimes refilling and stopping again. Now it wont spin at all, circuit board problems! This is my first and last Maytag. The company will most likely not balance/compensate on the purchase price (like the Bravos X) because it is beyond the 12 mos warranty.

I purchased this high-end dishwasher 7 years ago and 3 years of fairly light use, the control panel on the top would operate sporadically or not at all. Called the dealer who sent out the repairman that installed it and had to replace the control panel to the tune of $300 once the labor was included (took 2 visits as he had to order the part, so 2 trip charges). Now 3 & 1/2 years later, it is doing it again!! A call to Maytag and then a transfer to Whirlpool customer service got me nowhere. They said there were no recalls or documentation for problems with the dishwasher. Really??? I see lots of complaints on this problem with very similar Maytag dishwasher models. They would not send me a new part at no charge as a result but offered to set up a service appointment for me so I can spend another $300 (probably higher now after 3 years) and would register my complaint. Thanks for nothing!Doing that would turn my originally $900 dishwasher into a $1500 one with the result that it will probably fail again in 3 years. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I saw a YouTube video on taking it apart and applying silicone around the ribbon connections as others have done in the hopes I can get it working again for a while as I dont have the $$$ needed to replace it again on a retired fixed income. :(

I purchased a Bravos washing machine 3 years, 9 months ago. It has stopped working, bad bearings. How can a major appliance fail after three years for bad bearings unless the bearing were bad to begin with??? The repair man knew by the sound the problem was bad bearings. The washing machine sounded the same as it always had, which means the bearing were bad from the start. My first washing machine, a Kenmore, lasted 21 years and a few months. How can you produce such a terrible product and expect I as a consumer would buy another Maytag product or recommend a Maytag product? Not to mention what will now enter a landfill someplace, terrible!

My dishwasher like many others have mentioned is experiencing the same control panel issues. When I set it to Wash, it spontaneously goes to Rinse Only. I am unsure exactly the age, but given the number of complaints Ive read, with the same problem, it seems as though, there was a flaw many years ago in design and regardless of issues hasnt been resolved with the newer models either. I realize appliances dont last forever, but Maytag was always known for the lonely repairmen and Id hoped the brand would continue to live up to its advertising, despite being purchased by Whirlpool.

I do not know how long we have had the Maytag but, it has been a long time and has run without any problems. Still looks good and does the job! The features of the Maytag are: pots & pans, temperature sense, sani heat, light wash, regular wash, pots & pans prewash, quick wash, rinse & hold, delay start and heat, fan dry, heat or air. This dishwasher has always been plenty big enough for our family of four including guests. This Maytag had a choice of black or white front so, it fits in. My next dishwasher will probably be a Maytag!

M1BXXLZYB00 - This is the worst appliance I have ever owned and I am 56 years old. Very noisy, freezes my produce and actually anything in the refrigerator. Yet the freezer wont freeze popsicles. Had 2 service calls on the fan and or fan motor in the first 6 months. Now 2 years later we have replaced 2 compressors and had to pay 200.00 labor to have installed. Now the compressor is out again not even 30 days after the first 2. Whirlpool wants to send another compressor and the poor repair guys are suppose to do it for free now because it is within the 30days. The offered me to buy another refrigerator with prices of 699.00 and 519.00. My fridge in the garage is way more dependable than this one and I have had for 10 plus years with no problem.

Horrible washing machine. Cannot get clothes clean. It simply does not supply enough water to wash. Have tried everything. I want my money back. How do you start a class action lawsuit. Thousands of people are dissatisfied also.

I, too, am having major problems with my Maytag Neptune washer, much like many of the writers are. I am extremely disappointed in the Maytag corporation for putting out such an inferior product that it wont stand by. I wonder if a new class action suit could be filed.

I bought the dishwasher (Model MDB7749AWM) 15 months ago and paid $490.00. I had to put a new console in it ($245.00) on 07/16/2012. So that’s $735.00. Two days ago, the console went out again! I’m not putting $245 more in it! I called Maytag’s office. They more or less told me that was my problem! I am throwing that piece of junk away! And I’m buying a different brand. Maytag does not stand behind their product. Last Maytag I will buy! Warning! Do not buy Maytag!

This is a Bravos MTC machine. It is a top load and has an energy star rating. Made in the United States. Impressed by its low water usage and Its ability to clean clothes. This particular model comes with a 10 year limited parts warranty, drive motor and washbasket.

I have only had this machine for 2 weeks after having a Maytag since 1994. Even broken, my old machine was far superior to this one, a Maytag Bravos. Fortunately, the salesman noted that I wouldnt be happy with this machine but, thanks to a government mandate, all new machines behave in a similar manner to save water and energy. This agitator-less machine neither washes nor rinses the clothes/bedding/towels properly. It takes four times as long to wash the items but doesnt get them nearly as clean. Today, I put 2 pairs of shorts, 2 T-shirts and a standard bed-sized mattress cover in to wash. The mattress cover never even got thoroughly wet even though I used the deep wash and extra rinse settings. Last week I put sheets in the sheet setting only to have them come out totally wrinkled and stiff as a board with soap even though I used the recommended amount of detergent. This is a disaster. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag and the U.S. Govt. A river and a flat rock would work better!

My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. Our first issue came when the sensors went out in March; then the belt slipped off the drum in June; then the thermistor was defective in July; and now, the same thermistor code has popped up twice since replacing it. The Maytag has nice features but the shelves dont allow much room to adjust them and the freezer could stand to be a bit larger but overall its a good and hard working fridge for the price. Would love if those two things could be fixed without a huge price tag.

I owned a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer for 13 years and never had a problem. The only one thing I would say about them is that since the washer had no agitator it would often tangle the clothes, but they were clean and not damaged so I was ok with that. We moved to another house in July 2016, and the moment we plugged in our dryer there was a spark and smoke under it. Our dryer was fried and it was because the previous owner put in the 220 outlet and wired it wrong. So our dryer was dead and cannot be fixed.Since the washer had the small problem with tangling clothes together, I convinced my husband to get a whole new set, not just a dryer. We went to Lowes and picked out a new Maytag Bravos XL, thinking that the brand was reliable and they were so big I didnt have to worry about doing bedding in it. Like ALL of the other reviews of this set, DO NOT BUY THEM! The washer does not use enough water to wet the entire load and you will be left with soap residue on your clothes and they will not smell fresh and clean at all. In fact, my son sometimes wets the bed or has dirty underwear and that is what my entire load of laundry will smell like when I wash them. Imagine taking a load of dressy work clothes out of your dryer and they smell like dirty underwear!I have tried other settings, different types of soap (liquid versus pod, etc) and doing smaller loads. None of this fixes the issue. It is obvious that Maytag and Lowes will do nothing about this issue, according to other reviewers, so Im not even going to bother to have them come out here to do a service call and charge me for it. So Im stuck with a $1,500 garbage laundry set! (Actually the dryer is fine, it just takes longer to dry than Im used to). Im all for a class action suit to get our money back and force them to stop producing such crappy products! Also, if you are considering this set, keep in mind that they have just over a 1-star average rating on this site, and that is because every reviewer is forced to add a rating of at least 1 star. If not, I think wed all pick the zero.

It’s washing day today, so I’m angry, frustrated and livid to do it in my Maytag machines. I’m 72 years old and been doing this for 53 years. It’s not a job you love to do but you do it. I finally get to be able to afford whatever machines I want, so what do I do, buy Maytag. They are beautiful, see through top load, and see through dryer. So finally I get to use them, what a letdown. I don’t understand how they can put these machines on the market. Unbelievable! Also very expensive. The sensor for the water level is way off. It starts washing with hardly no water covering the clothes so this is where I put it on pause and add buckets of water to wet at least the clothing. I did a test to see how the clothes moved inside when washing. It was a load of white towels and I put in a bright green face cloth to see how it moved around in there. Well what a surprise, it stayed on top and moved about 3 inches to the right. That’s all it did. You don’t call that washing, I call that soaking! Terrible washer! I could go on and on but I’m getting too upset. Now for the dryer, the sensors don’t work right so what I do is use the timer and the temperature buttons only. Sometimes clothes gets stuck under the lint basket and by the time the buzzer tells me the load is finished drying, it is so twisted that it’s wrinkled forever. It has ruined a beautiful tablecloth of mine. I can’t sell these machines because I would feel very bad to pass them to someone else…Maytag does but not me. Because of my age I won’t be getting new machines probably, I’m stuck with them, but I would advise anyone shopping for a new washer and dryer, go out there and see what they have, come back home and look for reviews which I did not. Bad mistake! Note: I searched everywhere to write this review to Maytag on their website, none to be found!

Washer needs new transmission at only 3 years old! Maytags 10 year part replacement doesnt cover it. The company actually asked why I didnt purchase extended warranty, I thought I didnt need one. Bad bearings, it doesnt wash the clothes clean, $400 to fix it. Needless to say Im buying a new washer and it will not be a Maytag, worthless piece of scrap!

Maytag Bravos XL: I purchased mine Nov. 9 2017. I so wish I had never bought this machine! It leaves soap residue and dog hair on my clothes and bedding. I have to wash everything 2-4 times. It’s beyond disappointing. My husband and I agree our clothes looked better dirty, BEFORE we “washed” them in this machine.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWW2 3 yrs ago. Started having problems with it not filling with water after first cycle. After examination determined that the control panel/handle on the top of the door had broken away from its attachment points/screws behind the pane. Every time the door was opened this would allow moisture and steam to infiltrate into the door interior. And guess what, it now needs a new electronic control panel. After seeing all the other reviews, it is safe to say this is not the Maytag of our parents or grandparents.

My mother always said Maytags were the best but I never bought a washer and dryer until about 5 years ago and both are the worst appliances I have ever owned. The washer has rust all over the bleach container and smells to high heaven and I clean it with Affresh all the time. The dryer doesnt dry well and the washer doesnt wash well. I am trashing both and buying some new ones.

I bought a Maytag laundry set (washer and dryer, models MVWC565FW and MEDC555DW, respectively), and I concur with the fact that this is the WORST laundry set I have ever owned. The clothes came out of the washer extremely dry and did not come out as clean as expected. In addition, clothes came out with strange spots, especially the dark ones. Now, we wash our dark clothes with fear of damage them. The dryer is also pathetic. I put in a normal load on high for 60 minutes, and theyre still very damp. Sometimes I have to repeat the cycle 2 or 3 times. When I compare it with my old laundry set, this is extremely disappointing. And to make things worse, the customer service department doesnt answer you. I sent them a mail, on February 2018, and a month and a half later, I havent heard back from them.

Bravo XL Washer & Dryer - I have owned this set for just over 90 days and have called Maytag several times just to get insulted. The customer service representative is not helpful at all, and tells me that I am not using HE detergent or that I am using too much HE detergent. Furthermore, they tell me that if a service technician comes to my home and nothing is wrong that I will get charged. So much for the extended warranty and what is wrote on the Maytag site. I explain each time that I am using name brand HE detergent and the recommended amount. The soap dispenser in the machine provides a fill line that I fill to. I have even tried using less detergent as recommended by the appliance store that I purchased the machine from, and still the washer does not clean my laundry and leaves residue on everything. I have even tried using the extra rinse, and extra heavy soil setting which does not make a difference at all.The other concern is that the clean washer feature light flashes weekly. I have purchased the cleaning tabs recommended to clean the machine, and run this clean cycle every time the light comes on. The dryer does not work all that well either and shuts off before the laundry is dry. Sometimes the dryer will show an error of airflow restriction or low airflow. This is confusing because the dryer vent and hose are clean, and the lint filter is also clean. This is so disappointing because I thought Maytag had great products. However, as I read other reviews about these machines and the customer service representatives it seems that there is a systemic problem with the machines and the customer service representatives that needs to be addressed by the leadership at Maytag.

The house I purchased came with a washing machine and when I used it the water didn’t pump out leaving me with a load of wet clothes. I went to our local hardware store the same day and purchased the only washing machine they had which was a Maytag high efficiency Top loading washer the same day September 30, 2020. Had the washer delivered and set up, and watched the washer work through the window in the top. The sensor on the machine only gave water up to the top of the clothes, not over them. When it went into the rinse cycle it gave the same amount of water. My clothes came out with soap suds on them and the clothes on top did not agitate down into the machine on the wash nor rinse cycle. Not once on the loads I washed in the two weeks I had the machine did my clothes come out clean and not twisted in a mess making it difficult to get them out of the machine. I used the expensive Tide HP pods and followed the referenced directions. In reading the other reviews on this same washer many of them had the exact same problems that I did. The warranty will not replace this brand new machine nor the hardware store so I am stuck with a washer that doesn’t work as it should and out of the money I paid for it.

Same thing as everyone else. The motherboard/control board, the main face of the washer went out and this part isnt covered on an $800 commercial washer after only 3 years of residential use on a commercial washer. Menards refused to swap it out, saying this is Maytags issue. Maytag boasts their 10 year warranty and labels it right on the motherboard as a 10 year warranty, but the motherboard isnt covered? If the main computer isnt covered, What is covered? Just screws? I called Menards and got nowhere. Called Maytag and held for an hour then had to hang up so I can work. The warranty is extremely misleading and is the reason we bought this particular washer, because it says 10 year parts warranty right there, but Maytag conveniently doesnt consider the main control board a part.

I purchased a dryer model med7500yw not even a year ago and the heating element has failed four times causing a lint fire and my clothes are burned and melted. Maytag only wants to keep servicing the dryer and not refund me my money. I asked the representative who claimed to be a supervisor would she feel safe with the dryer in her home and her rude remark was this is not about me and because the service was done back in November and now its January it will need to be serviced yet again. I am losing time from work and the repair men are rude and ignorant.

Our Maytag lint trap started falling apart a few months after we received it. Call Customer Service to get a replacement due to the product being faulty. The answer that I got from Customer Service: We sell you a new one. Poor customer service, faulty product. Dont buy dryer from Maytag.

Recently I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer. These two items are the single worst appliances I have ever purchased. They are loud, ball the clothes into a knot and run forever. I plan to sell them on Craigslist and buy a Speed Queen.

We purchased a Maytag washer/dryer 5500 series in October of 2006. It was working good for the first few years, then gradually started failing on us. The clothes would not be clean or they would be soaked when done. Two days ago, on the board it kept blinking LR. So I checked all measures to make sure that it wasnt the motor or the front door lock. That door lock is a big pain! However, it happened to be both the motor and the bearing at the same. This is definitely not worth spending another $700 on. Goodbye Maytag, hello LG!

Bought this as W/D set brand new from Home Depot. Had been noticing incredible wear and tear on clothes, as things get so tangled up and need to be practically ripped apart before going into dryer. Cycle times are crazy long, up to over an hour in some cases. Doesn’t have a “Speed Wash” cycle. But WORST of all, after less than 3 years, it just stopped draining properly. Tried all the Codes test, etc. Finally called a repairman just to be told repair costs would probably cost more than the machine is worth. $125 to be told we ought to just buy a new washer. Not happy.

We purchased a washer and dryer, spent in the neighborhood of 1000.00 hard earned $$... extended warranty, the whole enchilada. Maytag. dependable, lonely repair man, ha.. that is just so much stuff. Well anyway it was a Centennial set. What junk. Never really worked that well to begin with. I trashed them both after exhausting all avenues to make it right. Well I got the hair to report the mess to consumer affairs and see if they are what they claim to be. This is more of a warning to all consumers.The stuff you consume today isnt worth the money you pay for it. The money isnt worth the time you spent to earn it. I am gonna try to find a old washer and rebuild it, and a dryer as well. Or just use solar. Best to keep the old stuff repaired and running. I dont know how many people I have spoken to about this problem. Our infrastructure is crumbling. A consumer based economy. Only there is not anyone to service the products we consume... pitiful. I guess my wife will be out back with a tub and washboard before it is all said and done... she will not like it, I guarantee that. I could not even begin to repair the washer. It was a computer operated board that did not work correctly from the beginning. The dude came out from the repair shop and fixed it while still under warranty. It died a slow painful death shortly after that. I disassembled it with a screwdriver and now have potatoes growing in the tub.The dryer has not met the same fate yet. It just sits there, anticipating the moment when I remove it and dissect it with a Sawzall. And I guarantee that day is coming. Do not buy anything from Maytag or its subsidiaries, think long term. We have become a bic lighter economy. I have been on the forefront of that movement. I did not realize it at the time. I do now. and for that I am sorry. I always expect something to work when I need it and if it doesnt, I try to repair it. Cannot fix this stuff now. I purchased a Maytag Bravo xl washer & dryer for $1600 in May 2017. Sunday, the user interface panel went out in the washer. After an $85 diagnostic visit, we were told it would be $500 to repair and take an additional 5 days. My husband is recovering from major knee surgery so I was short on choices. I elected to purchase a new speed queen and will never purchase Maytag again. The 10 yr warranty tag on the front is useless!

We were sold a Maytag Neptune washer mah550bbw in 2004 when it was already on recall by Maytag and a class action lawsuit was filed against Maytag. We also bought an extended warranty. Now we have the same problems as the lawsuit. We own dry cleaners so we do laundry once a month for small articles. For the last few months the clothes have an odor and they come out looking not clean. We were sold a defective and recalled product and are not happy right now. We would like a fast resolution to this problem; otherwise, we seek legal actions.

Worst washing machine!!! I purchased the top loader Maytag Bravos washer HE in 2011 and they are the worst!!! It has been repaired three times already and now is making such a loud noise and I have been told it is the bearings. I did purchase the extended warranty and it expired. The reason I did not get a renewal is Maytag & Home Depot do not allow the the extended warranty company to let you know the warranty is ending. So now I have a 3 1/2 year old washer that needs bearings and will cost $500 + for repairs. Will not be spending anymore money on this absolute piece of junk. I had a Maytag that was 22 years old that I replaced and thought I was buying the same quality but never again another Maytag. This company may want to employ only repairmen because you will need only them because no one should buy a new one going forward.

When I bought Maytag Neptune top-load washer, it lasted three months. I had to have the rockers replaced. Three months later, the lock switches went bad. Six months later, the main circuit board went out. Thank God it was under warranty. Ive had this ** washer four years and it broke down once again. I dont have any warranty and the money. They want to fix it. Im going to go out and buy something else. Piece of junk. It makes no sense. And when the first situation arose, I did ask if it had been recalled and of course, they said no.

We purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer in late 2007. We had a one-year warranty on the set. At just over 2 years, we started having problems with the washer. It started making a loud noise when spinning and started beeping all the time during the cycles. We contacted Maytag and they said the only thing they could do for us was to sell us an extended/repair warranty for $320.00. If the cost of fixing the machine was too much, they had the option to replace it with another machine equal to the value of the machine in todays market, or cash, or a gift card equal to that.We were angry about the cost of the warranty and we were unemployed at the time and couldnt afford that so we just had to let it go. The machine progressively got worse where only two of the cycles would work, but not without beeping several times where you had to fix the load, and the sound got so loud it sounded like you had a jet plane just overhead. Just the other day it completely quit working. We have been in contact with Maytag several times but their only answer is their repair warranty. Weve talked to numerous appliance repairman, who all knew exactly what was wrong because they have seen it so many times, and they told us that we have several things going wrong with the machine we would probably need a new drum, a new drain pump and a new control board.We were told that it would cost more to just buy the parts than it would be to buy a new machine. In the course of our phone calls to Maytag, they have continually told us that they are sorry but there is nothing they can do, in fact they only have record of two of our calls (how convenient!). Since experiencing the issues with the machine, we have researched it online and found that scores of consumers are dealing with the exact same problems we are having which shows that there are defects in the manufacturing of these machines. Maytag should be forced to fix these problems. They are well aware of them and they should have to back up their products.There should be a class action lawsuit out against them. We were told by an appliance repairman that Whirlpool (who bought out Maytag) has a washer called Cabrio that is the exact same model as the Bravo and that they do have a class action lawsuit out against this model. Consumers that purchased the Bravo should be included in that lawsuit. I am stuck with a broken down washer, mildewing clothes and dont know where to turn outside of paying out the money for the extended warranty with no guarantee of what we would get out of it, purchasing a used set with no guarantee, or putting out the expense for a new set.This set was an expense set and we went with Maytag because they used to have a good reputation, but we feel like we have been totally cheated. If the appliance companies were forced to offer a longer warranty on their products, they would have to manufacture them at a higher standard. For the cost of these new machines this is exactly what we as consumers should expect. Please help us to know which direction to go. Even with purchasing a new machine we are apprehensive!

I have a Maytag refrigerator that I bought 20 years ago when I moved into my new house. It’s still going strong and haven’t had any problems with it. The only thing that has been replaced is the filter. Knock on wood!!

Purchased a Maytag washer and dryer 6 years ago and everything was fine until 3 weeks ago when the washer stopped spinning. We knew we were out of the 1 year warranty and contacted a repair service, who told us the bearing was no good. Contacted Maytag who offered in goodwill to pay for the parts and we would pay for the labor. A different repair person came in and told us the washer has no bearings but a transmission, which went bad. They ordered the transmission and today the repair person was in to install it. He installed the transmission, but while trying to take out the old one he dented the drum. According to my husband the repair person banged so hard that it sounded as if something could have been damaged, sure enough it was the drum. Contacted Maytag to see if anything can be done as now we still have no washer, and the repair person was their selection not ours. All we got from Maytag was they are not responsible and there is not much more they can do. I cannot believe the last Maytag product we had lasted over 20 years and this one is less than 6 years with problems. Will not purchase another of their products again.

I would highly recommend you do some research on the Maytag bravos XL machines and dryer.This thing is about as good as a piece of paperweight thrown in the fire for no good of nothing. Warranty ran out but it has a 10 year warranty so I don’t understand, bought one year ago been broke down three times in that time. Speed queen all the way.

One year ago I bought a Maytag Micro-wave and a Maytag dishwasher - big mistake. I should have done some homework. I had problems with the dishwasher since the day it was installed. I should have suspected something was wrong when it was delivered. I opened my front door and there stood a deliveryman holding my dishwasher in his arms. He said, Where do you want it? I couldnt believe he could be carrying it by himself, especially since it took three of us to move out the old Thermador which by the way was still working just fine after almost 30 years. But my wife insisted on a new washer for her new kitchen. The Thermador was actually made of steel. The new Maytag was made of plastic even the motor. It had some steel and copper parts but mostly plastic. I dont think it weighed forty pounds. The problems began the first day with leaks through the door and under it. I suppose eight or nine service calls happened in the next 3 months. The factory service men were different each time and each had their own guess as to what caused the leaks. Over time they replaced all the parts that could be leaking some of them twice, because subsequent servicemen discovered that a previous service man had installed the wrong parts. We often had to wait several weeks because replacement parts were not on hand, and would be ordered and shipped directly to us. Then we would have to schedule another service call, only to find out the wrong parts came - more delays. One service man told us we were using the wrong detergent, even though it was the detergent and spot-free rinse that came with it. Another service man removed the door cover so he could watch to see where it was leaking when it operated. He said the soap was foaming too much and flooding over, so we had to try another brand of soap, even though by now we had accumulated three other brands that were just barely used. The service men never did fix the problem. It took much experimentation from my wife to stop the leaks, which meant we could only use a fraction of the recommended amount soap. By now we were using so little soap that the dishes always came out dirty. So our choice was mop up a wet floor or have dirty dishes every time. Most of the time now we wash the dishes in the sink. One service man said in Maytags effort to make the dishwashers more efficient, and less expensive to build that the motor and pump were way under powered, and everything was made from petro-chemical by-products (cheap plastic) and that we should invest in the extended warranty. Its cheaper than paying service calls when the warranty runs out soon. What we should have done was exchanged it for another brand. My wife said had she only known, we would have never replaced the old Thermador which will be my next dishwasher. As for the micro-wave there are many things I dislike about it especially the rectangle glass tray which is extremely awkward to remove and replace each time you have to clean out crumbs and spills which happen often. The timer on/off bell is way too quiet with no volume control. The message and operation display is difficult to understand. And to top it off the cheap plastic handle broke one week after the warranty ran out which I found out that its less expensive to buy a whole new door than pay for parts and a service call to repair handle. Maytags track record made me not want to deal with service dept. again. I will probably be money ahead to trash the two appliances, start over and do some homework and maybe buy a European made appliance. I know German technology is not all about profit making, but quality, reliability, durability. I hate to sound un-American but greed in American corporations will be their downfall.

I have had Maytags for 20 years and never have been disappointed before I bought the Centennial and it is junk. It doesnt even put enough water in to wash the clothes. After it breaks, I will never buy Maytag again. When did you guys start going down the drain literally? My clothes do not get cleaned. I live in the country and we all get dirty. We need a dependable washer and dont even get me started on the dryer. I thought maybe you would care enough to know.

Like many I have never wasted my time writing a review, this time I have had it. Purchased all new appliances from Maytag, biggest mistake I have made in the last 10 years. Front loading washer is the main culprit. Doesnt clean clothes, have had to replace the rubber boot on the inside twice now, machine is only 3 years old. Maytag basically treats you like youre stupid, resend instructions like that will fix their broken P.O.S machine. I will never buy another Maytag and will be sure to let everyone know what a piece of garbage, from machine to company! Sad that the overall reviews on my machine are 1.3/5 stars on Maytags own website. Oddly, I cannot write any review on their site, Maytag must have realized what a POS theyve been selling and now block reviews. Im thinking that we should get enough owners together and file a class action lawsuit, maybe that would change their tune??? Never BUY MAYTAG, PLEASE keep in mind THEY are UNDER AN UMBRELLA with WHIRLPOOL and MANY OTHER MAJOR PLAYERS... Do not let them scam you the way they did me! I bought my washer just over 3 years ago and it started making loud clicking noises and it seems like the agitator function is not working at all. I have a repairman coming over in a few days. I knew I should have gotten the extended warranty!

I have a stainless steel dishwasher, model MDBH985AWS10. Its about 5 years old. The control panel works intermittently -- Ive replaced and ruled out the door latch -- now Ive got the problem narrowed down to either the control panel or the circuit board. Ive read about this diagnostic cycle I could run to try to help diagnose the problem. I emailed Maytag for the code and waited a week and didnt get a response.I called them today and they said they cant give me the code--they only give that to their technicians. My dishwasher is not brand new, but I paid good money for it, and Id prefer to not have to guess what to buy when Im trying to repair it. Each of these parts costs about $150. Im not sure what the policy is for other dishwasher manufacturers, but for the next washer I buy, Ill find a company that either 1) has more reliable products or 2) at least tries to help the customer repair his own equipment.

I love using my microwave because everytime I am in a hurry, like going to work and my kids to school and dont have time to cook or we dont like to eat outside fast food I cook healthy the night before and microwave it the next day and it just feels like the food is just made. It taste so good my kids and husband love it.

I purchased the Maytag MFI2670XEM0 3 Door Refrigerator in Oct 2012. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty. The freezer has had issues with improper sealing since I bought it. It builds up ice around the bottom of the freezer where the seal meets. So bad it prevents it from closing. It happens fast, so I have to scrape it off every week minimum, to keep it closed. They have replaced the seals twice, all of the slide rails, twice and it still doesnt close right. I thought when I moved to Florida, I wouldnt have to scrape ice.Next: Ice maker quit working and had to replace that. Now, I came out this morning and about busted my ** when I slipped on all the water flooding my kitchen. The ice maker has a stupid little fitting on top of the refrigerator that has a rubber bulb connected to the ice maker water line. It split in half and every time the ice maker cycles, it pours water out that fitting and down the side. Why in the ** did they design it like that? It has caused damage to my cabinets and tile floor from running under it.Im sick of this appliance. I thought Maytag was known for quality. What happened to that? What a disappointing piece of junk and Im stuck with it unless I want to put out money for something different. There should be a Lemon Law rule for appliances like this. I have asked and get nothing from the warranty service but silence (crickets). They are sending out a tech again but that will require two service calls because they always have to order parts, which takes 2-3 weeks. Ive had to call them at least 5 times, which has amounted to no less than 10 service calls and here we go again. Stay clear of these units at all cost.

Wish I would have read the many, many, many reviews on the Maytag MDB8959SBS dishwasher before buying it. As noted by others, the touch control buttons stopped working 1 month after the 1 year warranty expired and Maytag wont do anything about it. BE WARY OF THE 10 YEAR WARRANTY CLAIM - IT DOESNT COVER THIS PROBLEM. Maytag should issue a recall on this product and do the right thing - take care of customers like they used to.

Would need 3rd panel for 8-year dishwasher - Either no lights come on the panel or Load done lights, like now. It has happened so many times over the years from about a year after spending a lot of money on a Quality unit. Many times I was able to operate it after turning the breaker off/on or leaving it to sit for a week or so, multiple times! Also, the rubber on the racks did not do so great - peeled and rusty. I did apply rubber repair multiple times, then got new racks at my expense. Several other brands bought over the years lasted 10+ years with no repairs!

When I remolded my kitchen almost four years ago, I purchased four Maytag appliances. There was a recall on my dishwasher that was successfully fixed; the heating coil could have caused a fire. The next appliance to go was my refrigerator with a bottom freezer: the freezer section went. Thank goodness I purchased a policy which covered the repair that had to be done twice--twice I lost food. I was compensated by the insurance company for $200.00 for the cost of food lost. Just before Christmas my microwave stopped heating. The turntable works, the timer works, but it will not heat the food and makes a loud noise. The glass top on my stove is getting marred even though I clean it every time something spills. I keep my appliances in immaculate condition and they look like new. I thought when I purchased Maytag I was buying reliable appliances. Their ad that states that the Maytag repairman is lonesome because he has no work is a lot of bull. Each appliance has had problems. Where is consumer protection? Appliances should not breakdown after a couple of years. We should not have to buy insurance policies that are expensive to protect appliances that should last at least ten years without problems. Someone needs to step in and help the consumer. I didnt call Maytag regarding the microwave as I was told it was useless to call them and all I would get would be aggravation. Someone, please help the consumer!

We bought the combo Maytag Bravo 300. The issues with the dryer are that it doesnt heat right, have to run the thing twice, after the first 50 minutes the clothes are still damp and it sounds like its going to take off. We had a service man tell us that it was the fan blower rubbing. Now for the washer. It sounds like a b-52 taking off in spin cycle. I know that its the bearings, bearing kit 80 some dollars plus the bearing tool another 80 some bucks. Dont think Im going to invest in Maytags game. If there is ever a class action lawsuit please put me down or notify me.

Dont buy a washer from Maytag, they put it together wrong and the transmission leaks so it will stop spinning after time and then it fries the motherboard. Too expensive to fix so you have to by a new one.. Their 10 year warranty is a joke and doesnt cover anything hasnt even been 5 years yet. Garbage products.

MF12569YEM2 - Purchased refrigerator less than 2 1/2 years ago, also started having issues with ice forming in bottom freezer and leaking on to floor. I shut the water source off to the water/ice feature, but it didnt solve the problem. After getting on this site and seeing the issue is quite widespread it seems that it should be considered a manufacturing defect. This is the second (actually third) Maytag Refrigerator we have had, one had actually needed to be replaced about 13 years ago because of electrical problem which service man said could cause it to catch fire. The replacement (different model) worked fine for about 11 years... so we decided to try Maytag again... WHAT A MISTAKE! After reading about the multiple problems we can look forward to and endless service calls I too would never purchase any Maytag or Whirlpool appliances in the future...maybe the company should think about the impact on lost consumers!

I own a Maytag dishwasher - it is a few years old now. I first filed a complaint in 2011. We have had it repaired several times - the control panel keeps breaking. Why is it that my grandmothers old dishwasher worked for 30-40 years and now you are lucky if you can get an appliance that works for a year without breaking? This planned obsolescence is ridiculous. Do not buy Maytag products - hit them where it hurts - in the wallet. They used to build quality products, but not anymore. I contacted the law firm in California that another person had listed as they have started a class action lawsuit. The company wont fix the issue unless they are forced to.

I just finished paying off my Maytag Bravos series washer and dryer, and now they are failing! The washer isnt getting dirt out and the dryer power button broke. And its not like I can use some pliers to get the switch to work, its like the part that controls the power just dropped out of existence, leaving me with a knob in my hand that connects to nothing! Of course, the limited warranty only covers the drums, not the little dinky parts that break more easily. I had inherited a set of Maytags and they were well over 20 years old (possibly 30) and they both were powerhouses. But this is terrible! I feel super disappointed that Im going to have to buy a new set after only owning these for 18 months. I know I WONT be buying Maytag ever again, though!

Whos up for a class action lawsuit against Maytag? I believe Maytag is making claims that are NOT true. I bought a new Maytag Bravos XL in Nov 2015. I asked the salesperson to point me to a deep water washing machine for Large loads. Salesperson sold me the Maytag Bravos XL MCT and made claims I would have 30% more water than the other washers. The sales pitch (according to Manufacture) is these smart machines have sensors that can detect how much water is needed. THIS IS NOT TRUE. My Maytag machine only gives me 1-2 inches of water on the normal and rinse cycles and maybe 4-5 inches on deep water cycle!!! Certainly not enough to cover clothes, towels or sheets. I immediately called Sears. Tech is basically being trained to tell consumers thats the way it is. This is the new future in washing machines. So, My recommendation - hire an attorney to get your money back!

Just dont get clothes clean like the old agitators. Doesnt matter what brand you decide to get I guess. Had Samsung front loader before and was disappointed in that brand as well. Thought them both to be good buys... But miss my really washed clothes!

Second time I have purchased a Maytag washer. Both units failed within six months of extended warranty running out. Maytag repairman is sitting on his **, not because they have a quality product but because consumers are seeing that it is a subpar product. Don’t waste your money on them or any of their off brands.

We just received a Maytag delivered by Home Depot. THe box the diswasher came in was soaking wet. I called within 30 mins of delivery to report this. Home Depot called and Maytag refuses to replace the diswasher stating that it comes wrapped. No it does not, the diswasher and insulation were soaking wet. Maytags response is just let it air out. So Im supposed to air out a 470.00 brand new dishwasher. Home Depot is also getting its one star review for refusing to replace it and letting the third party contractor get away with delivering a damaged unit.

We have already replaced the motherboard and now it is throwing a code of and it takes a whole day to keep pressing start to get one load down. I hate these machines and tell everyone NOT to buy one. They are expensive to buy and too much trouble to fix or repair and too much money to fix. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I have bought 2 high end top loader models (Maytag centennial commercial), brand new both from Home Depot. The problem is Maytag is making them cheaper! Suspension is coal springs that suspends the load so if you fill it up, it lowers the drum to the floor, instead of a bottom bracket that supports the weight from lowering the drum to the floor! Second is the pulley system with the belt drive that wears through the plastic casing. You know some people dont have $900 or $1,000 for a machines that says commercial or heavy duty that only last 4 years when you have a family of six! Very very sad, will never buy another Maytag.

It’s the worst washer I have ever encountered! I never have clothes that smell clean. The water seems to never completely spin out, the spin cycle is terrible!!! My whole house shakes when it’s spinning and the noise coming from it is so loud. The time on it is never correct; it will say there is 9 minutes left and then just go to 1 and quit! My clothes have never looked clean with this machine. And yes, I use very good detergents and everything else to try to help with no luck! The dryer just takes forever to dry anything. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase another Maytag again!

I was all too excited to FINALLY own a new set! I conducted research and read reviews. We decided on the Maytag Bravo XL set (Lowes) and was thrilled! For the first 6 months. They were both fantastic! 6 months later, several times the clothes washed were soaking wet as if they had been set on soak. It continuously alerted to clean after 3 loads. The dryer... Well, evidently, if you live in a high-humidity region, DO NOT HOOK TO THE WATER LINE FOR THE STEAM OPTION. It will soak your dry clothes! After 3 loads of drying, it fails to re-start for the 4th load for at least 12 hours! When paying over $1,590 for a new set, this should not be an issue. Mind you, I do laundry once a week - 5 to 7 loads including linen. Fortunately, we paid an additional $200 for the warranty at Lowes.Lets see what happens there!

I purchased a Maytag Electric Range (Model: MER7662WS1) at Lowes in February 2011. After few months, we found many rusty areas on the stainless oven door and on the stainless drawer.On 9/8, I called Maytag at 1-800-688-9900 to complain that stainless steel is not supposed to rust. A representative took the initiative to schedule A&E Factory Service to come to my house for a warranty repair, and assigned me an order # 40629499. I did not request for this service call and naturally, I regard this as a warranty service or a service of quality check of a product.On 9/19, a technician came to check the rusty area and confirmed that the stainless steel have rusted and the rust will eat through the panel. The technician called Maytag, and got the answer that Maytag will not pay for his visit because its not under warranty. The technician then checked the warranty manual, but could find not any statement that neither rust is cosmetic nor rust is not covered. The technician asked me to pay $132 for his five-minute checking service. I was so upset and called Denice at A&E Factory Service at 1-800-905-9505 to bill Maytag directly. She ignored my request and said that I should take it to Maytag.After a couple of hours waiting, holding and transferring, I explained to two Maytag customer service representatives my problem, only to get a Sorry, its not covered, its cosmetic, reply. I insisted talking to a manager and finally got Melinda at Care Solution Team. She, too, refused to waive the charge for me and claimed herself as a supervisor and decision maker and theres no one above her who could resolve this issue.I emphasized that A&E service call was authorized by Maytag, I did not order the service. Who would have thought that a service authorized by manufacturer is not covered under warranty? Besides, this representative failed to inform me that rust would not be covered, she should have known better. Therefore, I believe that the person who initiated the service call to A&E should be held accountable. But Melinda never wanted to agree with this logic and kept saying, We dont force customer to have home service. You are liable for the bill.She refused to pay for the service and forced me to pay the bill from the mistake they made. She even refused to give out the persons ID # and name of the person who called A&E. She only documented my complaint--whats the point of their documentation? If this is the tactic that Maytag is using to categorize rust as cosmetic (if rust can damage material, then you should not call it cosmetic), and ban customers from claiming the rust damage so they can use poor quality of stainless steel on their appliances to save the cost, then, it is dishonest to advertise that this oven is stainless.A representative even said that Maytag should have emailed me with the confirmation of service call and noted that its a non-warranty service. Also, A&E should have informed me before arrival that the service is not covered. All these were not true. First, I did not receive such email from Maytag or Whirlpool. If Maytag would have warned me with non-covered policy such as this, they should have the courtesy to call me in case the email was unreliably routed to spam box. A&E only informed me that they are coming the next day, but no such thing as telling me that the service will not be covered. Even their technician did not know about the non-covered issue, and had to call Maytag today to find out.Had the person who scheduled the service told me that the rust on the stainless panels is not covered under warranty, will I still allow the service call and agree to pay $132 for a five-minute checkup and watch the technician leave without performing any repair? I asked Melinda to let me talk to her supervisor but she said that theres no one who can talk to me, and the only way to appeal is to write to the companys executives. Maytag dishwasher model MDB4949SDE3: This dishwasher is the biggest POS that I have ever owned in 40 years. The first one would never turn on and fill with water and after it finally did it leaked on my new floor. Waited 10 days to have it replaced. The dishwasher cycle is 2.5 - 3.5 hours and the dishes come out dirty. The top rack is not adjustable to wash odd things. I feel that these dishwashers need to be replaced.

I have a new HE (high efficiency) washer. It takes getting used to as its a definite change from the old agitating system but I think I like it. It doesnt make much in the way of suds but everything still comes out really clean. The wash cycle is much longer than my old washer but it uses a lot less water.
