We have already replaced the motherboard and now it is throwing a code of and it takes a whole day to keep pressing start to get one load down. I hate these machines and tell everyone NOT to buy one. They are expensive to buy and too much trouble to fix or repair and too much money to fix. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I purchased our washer and dryer together in 2012. Now my washer is making a really bad sound on the spin cycle. I talked to Maytag in Tenn. and they wanted 130.00 just to show up. Plus 300 to 500 for the parts that was needed. Wow. I am retired and on a fix income. I called a local repairman in OkC. After telling him the brand of washer I had, he said he would not come out to fix it because of the money would be expensive. 300 to 500 dollars for parts. He said it would be cheaper for me to purchase a new one. This seems to be a real problem. I talked to Maytag supervisor and she could not wait for me to get off the phone. Nor would she give me her name. Buy Whirlpool!!!!!!!!

My Maytag washer (model number MVWC400XW3) worked well for 6 months. Suddenly, it started making terrible loud noises when spinning. Repairmen have come out 6 times, and I got second opinions. It was turned over to another repair company. Transmission has been replaced as well as the motor. I have been without a washer for 3 months. Repairmen would come out, replace a part, and leave; and the washer is never fixed. I asked the repairmen to stay for an entire cycle, but they act insulted and left, saying its fixed. When I tried to wash, everything went crazy. I unplugged the washer and plugged it back in to reset it. I turned the dial to spin, and the lights said the washer was sensing. The lights never moved off that. The washer sounded like its trying to wash, but theres a strong grinding noise. When does the repairman decide he cant fix it? My husband is insisting we go buy another washer. The washer was bought in September 2011, so its still in warranty. In addition, we bought a five-year warranty. The repairmen stay 15 minutes, plug in a new part, and leave. They dont come back for two weeks. Will we ever get this washer fixed or get a new one. How do we put pressure on Maytag to fix it or give us a new one?

Its unfortunate that Maytag expects their products to be so short lived, they wont produce parts for their appliances after 7 years. They just told me they are only required by law to make parts for their products for 7 years so thats what they do. So unfortunately, if your microwave outlives its handle, youre going to have to replace the entire appliance which will cost me almost $500. I will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool products because of this.

I purchased a new Maytag from Home Depot. It was delivered and installed by them on 7/20/12. Today is 9/18/12. It is less than 2 months old and the tub is starting to shred around the upper rim. I called to get it repaired. What a nightmare. First I tried to understand a Filipino woman through a bad connection. She advised me to call a different customer service number, 1-800-688-9900. I talked to Crystal. She called up information on me using my phone number. She asked for the serial number as she had the model number available from the online registration I completed on 7/20/12. I told her I do not have that and asked where it was located. I also told her that I was unable to get it at this time as I am handicapped. She advised me that I had to show my repairman the receipt or I would have to pay a $60 service charge. I get nervous about throwing good money after bad. So I then asked why. If the serial number is so important, why is it not a required info when you register online? She had no answer. I asked to speak to her supervisor. I waited 4 minutes. Enna finally came on the line. She gave conflicting info about my online registration. She said I was not registered online (if not, how did Crystal have all my other info including my model number? Why did Crystal tell me I had registered without the serial number?). Enna told me that the repairman could key in the serial number when he gets to my house and if my washer was under warranty, I would not be charged. Again I asked why, if the serial number is so critical to the process and with all the info they seem to have on me (name, address, phone number, model number, place of purchase, date of delivery, etc.), why is the location of this very critical number is not in the owners manual? Why do they allow you to register without it online and why dont they track sales and delivery by serial number? She was unable to address these issues. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She told me she would give me her supervisors name and number (Kim, **) but she would not give me a last name or contact information. She told me that she was the highest level that I was allowed to speak with.Bottom line, my Maytag is falling apart, getting through the red tape to get it fixed under warranty is silly. Maytag ignores its own concept of tracking by serial number and does not support the use of serial number by telling you where it is located on an appliance or requiring it to register online. Calling customer service is a joke! I was mad when my new $800 washer started to fall apart. Now I am just sad with the way we allow manufacturers to treat us. Mad about the way we allow them to operate in the United States. They create junk or junk parts overseas, products fall apart over here, calls for repair get routed around the world, and then they create more red tape and call it customer service. I made one bad choice. Hopefully, you are reading this and can avoid your own.

Almost 2 years ago this dishwasher wouldnt drain. Fixed that $300. Then just over a year ago control panel had to be replaced. Now control panel was bad again, had to rest circuit to get it to start. I see this is a common problem. Only 2 of us in the house and the dishwasher gets used only 2-3 times a week since we purchased brand new in December 2011. Ordered the new control panel and just went to replace it, guess what. This appliance could have burnt our house down. The wiring in the door that plugs into the control panel is burnt! Not at the panel at all but a good 8 down the wiring harness. Both harnesses as well. Scared me half to death! To think it could have killed us at night, when we usually run this appliance. Definitely calling Maytag now. I do have pictures as well.

Before you purchase a Maytag washing machine...from anywhere (I got mine at Home Depot), think again. This machine doesnt wash clothes, it doesnt rinse clothing. What it does is takes forever to fill up the tub then it doesnt even come close to filling it to where all the clothing is covered for rinsing or washing, then it just stops and sits there for a few minutes (??) and then it proceeds to empty the tub and youre supposed to feel like your clothes were cleaned.Not in a million years will your clothing get cleaned in a Maytag washing machine. Youve been warned...dont waste your money. Go to a used appliance shop, but the best one they have that does NOT have the Govt. regs built into it, and be happy you saved as much money and did NOT have to go through all the frustration and hassle everyone else has that bought a new Maytag washing machine.

I am a regular customer of Leons and used to buy all my home appliances from them, because I trusted their quality and service of their products. However, last time I bought French Door Maytag refrigerator from them, about two years ago, we suffered from defects in this type of fridge. The problem started before one year when my wife saw some leakage of water on floor in the front side under the fridge freezer door. In the beginning, this was occurring once a month or every two weeks, so she didnt think it would be a problem or it might happen occasionally. However, the water leakage now became worse and almost every day. We had to put a towel permanently under the freezer door to dry the water which appeared ugly. Also, I had couple of accidents that my child slide over because of that water leakage. I spoke to one technician, he told me resolving this type of problems is not guaranteed because the problem will appear again or after while. He said this could be a manufacturing defects in this type of Maytag fridge models!!! Another problem appeared also one year ago, that one of the door handle started to shake very little, but now it looks like moving from its position and there is no way to fix it!!!Therefore, when I requested the help from Leons they told me that, You didnt buy the extended warranty and we cant do anything for you!!! You can talk directly to Maytag. Then, I send email to Maytag explaining the problem. They even didnt bother to reply or call me. Now, I feel that I was bluffed by these companies. I didnt think that I was buying a $2,000 refrigerator to scrap it after two years. That is ridiculous when you buy defected product from them, but they dont care to resolve the issue.

Within the first year of having this washer (Maytag Bravos X series) the cam broke in it. And then about two months after the warranty went out, the motor quit. It wouldnt spin my clothes at all and would never get my clothes clean. I was having to hand wash my clothes just to get them clean. Not a very happy person, I live paycheck to paycheck and cant afford rock continuously pay to have my washer fixed.

CONSUMER BEWARE: Maytag is the WORST corporation to deal with. We have purchased a Maytag range from them recently. Unfortunately we have had 4 appliances delivered to us damaged from Maytag. The fourth time around we finally got a supervisor on the line. In order to expedite the situation. And the supervisor (Frank) refused to expedite or even call to try and move up the 5th delivery date. All he talked about was Maytag company policies to us. To make a long story short and I do mean long. Buyers beware. Maytag DOES NOT HOLD THEMSELVES ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING. Once the appliance leaves their facility they are not responsible for it. I CANT SAY THIS ENOUGH. DONT PURCHASE MAYTAG PRODUCTS.

I bought my Maytag Dishwasher (mdbh979aww3) about two years ago and just last week, the control buttons on the right stopped working. I see on this site that someone else had the same problem and explained that the wires got corroded, so now Im not sure I even want to replace the part when it only worked for 2 years. Now Im stuck buying a new dishwasher.

I bought an off-white or light cream color gas Maytag stove about three years ago. When I first used it to boil some water for tea, the light colored grills turned black. And this is without cooking a full meal, merely boiling water. After a few more uses with light cooking, and a few spills on the cooktop, I discovered that it was simply impossible to clean. The glass on the oven door became discolored with the first use, and is also impossible to clean. I purchased several types of cleaning items and sponges, and nothing works. This is a disgusting stove. I hate it and I wish I never bought it. I will never purchase a Maytag anything ever again. Its the poorest and cheapest no-quality item - a total waste of money.

I purchase my first glass top stove; a Maytag. It came with a 10 year warranty on all elements and the glass top. As this is a first glass top I read through all instructions, there appeared no real warnings on what to do to maintain the glass; or rather what would damage or void a warranty. I simmered some maple syrup, and as it so often does when reaching the proper temperature, it boiled over. On a regular burner, one just uses a little elbow grease and your stove is returned its previous state. This actually pitted the glass, and as the warranty people at Maytag informed me voided the warranty, and seriously weakened the glass top suggesting it would be likely to break. Seriously?????? All of us boil stuff over on the stove top from time to time, and this damages the glass top and voids a warranty??? VERY DISAPPOINTED in Maytags product and their warranty.

I purchased the Bravos washer and dryer suite. Since I was a small child I had heard my parents and others alike say that Maytag always had superior products as this is the reason when I was fortunate enough to purchase a new set I chose a Maytag brand. We that was the past and the present products et washers /dryers as the worst ever. I have had my set less than 2 years and today had to go out and buy a used one again. I have had nothing but trouble with these 2 and will never buy their brand of anything again. From the amount of poor reviews it appears I am not alone. I tried several times to no avail to have someone from the company contact me as I was put on hold too many times!

I purchased this five-burner gas stove two years ago. I have this stove repaired three times. The first and second problem with the stove is when I turned on the oven, it would never click on. This was a month after I purchased the stove. They sent someone over to correct the problem and that did not work. The third time someone came. He changed something in the oven and it started to work. After that, I continue to have trouble with the oven. When I have the top eyes on, the oven will not work. When I only turn on the oven, it will go to 350 only. It will cook for an half hour and then cut off. I smell gas in my house and my food is smelling like gas. I have stop using the oven. I did not purchase a stove to not use the oven. This is totally ridiculous!!! I am tired of this situation. Maytag needs to recall these ovens, so I can purchase an oven that works. I have thrown food away because it smells like gas - because the oven will cut off in the middle of cooking. I am very tired of this situation and when you call Maytag, their customer service is terrible. I will never buy Maytags products again. Please help.

After the waranty ran out, oven failed to ignite. Called repairman who couldnt diagnose problem. Broiler works. Replaced some kind of wire & part for $350. Good for 6 months. Happening again. Paid a lot for this oven.

Maytag MVW823OHC SLATE washing machine, $1050 plus warranty $169.95 on 05/27/21 not delivered until 06/25/21, error code on 09/19/21. It is 11/03/21, machine is not working and no part available. Sad.

I bought a full Maytag kitchen in 2010 because like many others, I trusted the brand. However, before I knew it, the dishwasher broke down. I live in Canada so I get Whirlpool (owns Maytag) 2 year limited warranty. Thank God for that because I have had the repair guy come 7 times. Each time for the same problem (control board) and they have replaced a listed of parts with no success. I have asked them to honor their no lemon policy but am given excuses as to why someone has to come see it first before they can give me a new one. Once the service guy arrived he obviously has no idea about anything and just goes for the repair. Its so frustrating.I am fed up. It is completely unacceptable because now Im losing money staying home waiting for the repair guy. Maytag is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I only hope you see this before buying a Maytag product. Like many others here I use my dishwashers once a week. Now Im faced with a dilemma where I might have to purchase a new dishwasher as soon as my 2 year warranty runs out. My $700 went down the drain.

2 weeks after my warranty is up, the control panel is shot. They used to make quality products and that is why I purchased a Maytag. I had before this a very cheap dishwasher from G.E. and it lasted 9 yrs. I cant believe it is already broken. Do not buy Maytag!!

MDB8959SBB. Purchased this Maytag dishwasher late December 2013 and had it professionally installed on January 4, 2014. Could have burned down the house this weekend! Smoke everywhere! Thank goodness it was running during the day and not night so that we were able to shut off the power. Lights in the kitchen were blinking and smoke pouring out of the dishwasher. The house still smells of smoke. So disappointing. Ive always been a proud owner of the Maytag products. Never again. Especially after reading the reviews. Interesting enough, THIS dishwasher was purchased because of a recall on the PREVIOUS Maytag dishwasher I had trouble with. They gave me a credit to use towards my next purchase. Ive learned my lesson.

I purchased a Maxima washer and dryer set, along with the pedestals. I had the set delivered to the new house the kids and I are moving into, but didnt use it for 2 weeks as we had not moved in yet. Guess what? I used the dryer 1 time and the drum stopped working. I called and got tech out. Motor is not working. They had to order a replacement, then back again to replace. Guess what? Less than a year later, same thing happened and another two visits from tech, motor was replaced. Get the pattern? And now, less than 2 years after purchasing and another two visits, motor drive and control board were ordered. They have not been installed yet. I have sent emails to Maytag and on the second one, they actually called me. The lady didnt think there was anything wrong with the fact that it broke after the FIRST use. Her reply to me was, But we fixed it... At this point, 2 years and 6 tech visits, three new motors and a control board, not to mention my time taking off from work and being held hostage waiting for the tech, they could have replaced it and saved themselves some money. They have lost all credibility. I am about to try regular mail to a supervisor. Wish me luck.

I purchased Model #MHW563HW Frond loading automatic washer a little over 1 year. The options are not for me. The quick wash is way too short 20 minutes, all the rest of the options are 51 minutes to 2 hours & 57 minutes! If you wanted to add some extra minutes to the Quick wash you are out of luck. Normal wash is 55 minutes but can last much longer, it takes forever for this machine to balance which adds time to the process.I had an LG front washer before this one and when the clothes came out they were almost dry, not this washer, they are very wet. Then there is the horrible odor that comes after you use it, Ive tried drying every area making sure there isnt a drop in it. Still the stench is unbearable. Yes it has a Clean Washer with Affresh option which takes an additional 128 minutes and you have to do it at least once a week! Thats a LOT of wasted energy. That just doesnt sound efficient to me, washing the washer. Why??? This washer had great reviews which I read, not one mentioning these issues.

Bought this washer and dryer 3 1/2 years ago mainly because of Maytag name and reputation. They were very expensive to purchase. The washer is a piece of junk 3 1/2 years old used for my wife and I and leaks oil all over the floor. Called repair man to come and look at it, wasnt here 5 minutes said transmission is shot. Cost over $400 to have it repaired. We are junking it and that will be the last Maytag product I ever own.

First of all, Whirlpool owns the Maytag brand. Ive seen a few reviewers on here say I will never buy Maytag! Im buying Whirlpool from now on! I picture the executives smiling and nodding, Good. Maytag used to be great - machines lasted 20 years or more. Now they last about three. After one year, the paint on the washer was bubbling and coming off, and now its starting to rust. The warranty doesnt cover cosmetic defects beyond 30 days, and the warranty for the rest of the machine is only one year. Theres a reason for that - the machine will undoubtedly have problems after that. Multiple calls to Maytag/Whirlpool and they do not care. Terrible product, terrible customer service. I tell everyone I know never to buy Maytag or Whirlpool.

We purchased the washing machine (MVWB400VQO) on July 9, 2009. Now we must buy a new washing machine as this one is apparently beyond repair, or else the repair costs will far exceed what it would cost to purchase a new machine. We are completely disgusted with its failure, as we paid $822.36, with the delivery fee and the tax. We expected that this machine would last for years, but here we are, 42 months later, having to again invest in a washer. Now that we have a computer and are able to browse your performance reports, we wish we had been able to read them before, in which case we never ever would have bought it at all.Yesterday it spewed water all over our basement, flooding things that should not get wet, providing an atmosphere for encouragement of mold and rust. The motor is gone as the housing is cracked, which was caused by debris getting into it, something that we could not have known or prevented. This is very poor design by your company, in our opinion. We called some repairmen, all useless as apparently the whole machine would have had to be completely dismantled at a rate of $84.00 per hour, and he could not tell us how many hours that would take, to say nothing of finding a new motor for the thing.We will never again buy a Maytag product as they are expensive with a too-short shelf life and there’s nobody who cares when you need help for something that should not have happened at all. I understand Maytag is really not the good old dependable Maytag we used to know and love at all, but rather is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation, whose products we will never purchase either.I know why that lovable old Maytag repairman we used to see on TV is retired. Its because he could no longer stand the quality (or lack thereof) of the appliances that you are now producing. He is probably home, hiding his head somewhere and hoping nobody will recognize him. My clothes sometimes come with white spots on them. My clothes are very twisted. I would LOVE to have Maytag replace my washing machine so I could again sing their praises!!!

This is the WORST washing machine I have ever had. You cannot control how much water goes into the machine and the clothes being washed are not even covered by water. They stick out above the water at least a few inches!!! How can anything get clean if no water is touching it! I even add water into the machine at the beginning with jugs of water just to cover the clothes... the machine automatically gets rid of that extra water and when the wash cycle comes on again the clothes are not submerged! I paid A LOT of money for this awful machine and Maytag needs to do something about it! And, yes there is a sticky gummy substance on all the dark clothes! I even put clothes in the washer with a dirt spot on it purposely and the spot is always there when the wash is done. Nothing gets clean! DO NOT BUY this machine... you will be very sorry!!!

I bought this washer (Bravos Washer Model MVWX655DW) in June 2017. My wife and I did plenty of research and only complaint at that time was that it made load clicking noises. We bought it and it worked fine but never really filled with water to a level which would cover the clothes. Today I ran a load and brownish water was seeping out from underneath. When I lifted the machine my floor was covered with old stains which looked like oil or grease. I called a local service company and when they found out which model I had they refused to look at it. They said that particular model was known for having issues and when they fixed it, something else would go. They recommended looking online for reviews and calling Maytag.I did so and after explaining the situation to Maytag, they offered to send a technician to look at it to diagnose, not free of charge of course. While I cannot tell you avoid a particular company, I can say MY family will never buy Maytag again. If a washer is well known for having issues within its first 3 years and a company will not try to make it right simply because theres no recall on it I will spend my money elsewhere. Seems fishy that this machine has a ton of 1 star reviews within the last two months and Maytag does not want to eat the cost of servicing their junk.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator Model # M1TXEMMWS02 and Serial # E01103420 in April of 2010 from Home Depot in Aurora, Illinois. First off, we did register the fridge online via Maytag which of course, they have no record of! Now, we go on vacation and come back to all of our food ruined because the refrigerator stopped working! No refrigerator should stop working within two years! I called Maytag and they offered me a Repair Plus One package of $302.73! Are you kidding? We paid $400.00 for fridge. Then of course, only one-year warranty and have to pay at least $75 for a service call, labor plus parts! If it’s the compressor, the charge is $326.20, plus shipping and handling! What a joke! There needs to be longer warranty and should offer free service calls and much more. I am disgusted in Maytag products and in which we purchased due to a reputable name! Never again.

Everything in my house is Maytag. I assumed they were the best. My dishwasher went out after three years, and I replaced it with a Maytag. Now, my over the range microwave is not working. I will not replace it with Maytag. I expect my washer and dryer to be next.

Just read Ann of Colorados (posting April of 2014) message about her Maytag Bravo washing machine and its like I wrote it myself! Our Bravo started with making a loud noise during the spin cycle which turned into oil or a dark liquid spraying out from under the machine, along with saying UL, so I would adjust the load and get it going again only for it to start the spin and rinse cycle all over too! We have 5 people in our family and cannot afford to not have a working machine. We purchased this machine only a few years back to replace another product that was also a piece of junk. I guess as a last resort I will try a Spin Queen which is American made and hopefully will work! Very disappointed in Maytag. Whatever happened to Machines lasting like they did for our Grandparents?

Perfect for me. It would be better if I had a space to put it without adjacent walls. Mine sits with the refrigerator door against a wall and I have to pull it out to the door space to open it wide enough to pull out the drawers to take them out for cleaning. Otherwise, it has worked very well for me by myself, for me and my husband when he was alive and for my son and his family and myself, and he has 5 children.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in 2008. I had a repair person out today on both units. I was told that it will cost as much to fix the washer as it would be to purchase a new one. As far as the dryer was concerned, I was told to live with the timer issue rather than replace the expensive mother board. I was also told that the drum bearing issue with the washer is fairly common with the Maytag machines. It looks like the Maytag repairman isnt so lonely anymore! I paid a lot of money for these machines and they amount to a hill of garbage after three years. I may be buying a new washer, but you can bet your boots it wont be Maytag/Whirlpool!

Good deal, recommended by dealer friend. Front loaders, high efficiency, 12 years or so. Finally needs new bearings on the washer. Replaced electronic board 5 years ago. High repair costs would be the worst which is related to low-quality construction. I expect my next pair to last as long as the last 1. Full size, not stackable but oversized drums. Relatively low water usage, lots of different settings for different loads for washing and drying, automatic water level and wrinkle guard.

We purchased our double free standing gas range about 6 years ago. Our top oven went out about 4 years after purchase. We purchased the extended warranty from Sears and it was fixed at no charge. About a year later, the top oven would not work again. We called Sears, our warranty was up so it would be a repair that we would have to pay for. We decided to go with the Maytag repair service since it is a Maytag appliance and we had to pay anyway. The repairman came in and said that the top box that holds the electronic in it had fried wires and it would have to be replaced. So for $480, he could replace it. It was more than likely caused by a power surge. I just read that this also coincidentally happened to someone else so I find this cause to ask more questions. I also note that the top of the oven behind the burners where there is some sort of vent gets extremely hot (I accidentally touched it and had a blister the next day) when the oven is being operated. This is directly under the box that holds the electronic components. I would think that may have something to do with the wires frying since it is that hot directly below the panel. Could this be a defect in the building of the stove? Has anyone else had this instance beside the one person that I read about on your website?

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator, model #mf12269veb on 2/1/12 and for the past few months it has been leaking water out of the bottom freezer unto my floor and ice is forming inside the bottom of the freezer. I have read many complaints about this and if there is any recourse to this problem please let me know. So disappointed with this appliance.

Bought a Maytag top loader washer from Lowes in July 2017. Have had nothing but problems due to faulty computerized guts. Worked intermittently and took a long time to wash compared to older machine. Repairman out twice... replaced computer board and still have problems. The machine was made in Canada according to the label. Hey Canada, what is going on making junk? Too bad that we did not know beforehand what junk the Maytag brand has become. Lowes should not sell this junk to help its reputation and valued customers.

This washer ( MHW3505FW) leaks, is crazy loud, water wont drain, clothes smell bad after washing, defective drain pump, defective mother board. Only had 2 1/2 months and it broke. Maytag refused to refund me and Lowes refused as well. Thankfully I paid by credit card. Am disputing the charge. Terrible washer should be recalled. Many complaints on this washer. Very disappointed and upset.

I purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer 3-4 years ago, upgraded to the premium washer and dryer, SS drums and have been dissatisfied from the start. The washer was extremely noisy; we were told this was normal. The dryer began making strange noises just outside the warranty period, and the belt and pulley had to be replaced. I was shocked at the cheapness of the pulley design, but the replacement part was of better quality. The washer began making a horrendous squeak shortly afterwards, again, outside the warranty period. The repairman said that they were all like that, Maytag used inferior transmissions and that it would be cheaper to replace the washer than repairing it. My mother had the same experience with a similar model. Needless to say, I will never purchase another Maytag product. FYI, there are only three people in our household, all adults, light duty use.

This Maytag refrigerator is a counter depth so a little smaller in the Inside than I would like but fits in my tiny kitchen great. It has an inside water dispenser which is so nice because it keeps the clean look on the outside. It’s a year old and so far I have not had any problems with it.

This is just a heads up to anyone thinking about purchasing the front loading Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. We spent $1900.00 on these machines and have had nothing but trouble from them. I will never purchase a Maytag or now, Whirlpool appliance again. As to the rating above, if I could post negative 150 stars I would. I have spent as much in repairs as the new dryer cost.

The $1,100 Maytag Bravo XL does not have a dedicated spin cycle. Its rinse and spin. When out of balance, you rearrange and it rinses AGAIN - 15 minutes - before you know whether its balanced. By rinsing again, it can redistribute to be out of balance. Repairmen (w/ extra warranty) said you cant wash bath mats, bedspreads or pillows though it had giant capacity! They would charge me if I called again about it (3 strikes). So bought a used Kenmore with no computer panel... Its great! My dealer had the Maytag hauled to a dump, he would not sell it to anybody as he had integrity.

I bought a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749SBW2 in 2013. It worked great for 2 years. In 2015, the control panel malfunctioned. All the lights on the control panel would light up and the dishwasher wouldnt start. I called Maytag. They sent out a service tech. He replaced the control panel. I started having the same problems two years later, 2017. I called Maytag today, 9/11/17, to see if they had recalled this dishwasher. No, it hasnt been recalled. They offered to sell me a extended warranty for $400+, that would pay for the service call and parts or, I could find another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid dishwasher and depending on the model, I could get a 25-45% discount on a new one. I asked why they havent recalled this model, due to the problems that so many people are having. They dont know. Im writing this review to let those of you who have bought this dishwasher know, that the product is faulty.

This machine is not backed up by Maytag unless you purchase an extended warranty. I tried to contact Maytag regarding this machine breaking in less than two years. This machine has all the bells and whistles but dont expect to use them all because as soon as I used hot water or steam, it affects the lid lock assembly. This should be a recall from Maytag. They know it happens but arent doing anything to improve or remedy the situation. I was only able to use this machine with cold water after this happened. I spent more money getting this washing machine fixed than it deserved. Im so disappointed with Maytags customer service and their product.

Unbeknownst to us, our Maytag Refrigerators (MFD2561KES) ice maker developed a problem with the fill hose which connects to the back of the refrigerator, causing it to pop off. The hose had been leaking water onto our wood floor causing all of the boards under the refrigerator and 6 feet in front to buckle. I cannot see why Maytag did not use a compression fitting instead of using a squeeze type hose clamp. Plus the ice maker has left a large sheet inside the freezer on the bottom. I use the ice maker daily to fill my cooler for work.We also have a Maytag Dishwasher which has a push button panel in front which has decided to give out as well. Not to mention our Maytag Double Oven which has never been able to close properly since we have had it. (The service man said that there is nothing wrong with it). We bought our house 7 years ago and my wife wanted nothing but Maytag because of our experience in the past. I gave up buying american automobiles years ago and I guess the same will happen when I replace these appliances (after I finish paying for my new floor).

Control panel broken for a second time in 23 months: I purchased a Maytag dishwasher less than 2 years ago at Home Depot. 11 months later, the control panel went out. Specifically, the start/cancel buttons stopped working. A service tech called me under warranty; the control panel was shipped to me, and the tech fixed it. He also told me that they had had numerous problems with the control panels.13 months later, the control panel went out; specifically, the start/cancel buttons stopped working (sounds familiar). I can get nothing from Maytag, except a demand for service fees or sales pitches for extended warranties (at a price that was half of what the dishwasher cost new). They also offered me the free part as long as I pay the service call fees. I told them to just to ship me the part and that Id do it myself. Nope. I must pay the repairman. Now, theyll ship me the part if I pay for it, but they wont ship me the free part. It only comes with a service call.Maytag also told me that there were no reports of problems with the start/cancel button, an obvious lie with a quick internet search. The customer service rep sounded like she knew I was getting treated badly and kept using the word policy. Her supervisor was much more cocky and made sure I knew that I wasnt getting anything from her company.They make horrible products, attach what once was a good name, provide zero customer service, and lie to your customers. Great business practices. I will never purchase a Maytag product again.

I have a Bravos washer model # mvwb45owqo and matching dryer. The price for the pair was $1347.00 plus tax. The washer and dryer were bought Jan 14 2010. 10-10-13 the pump went bad and was replaced. I paid $ 221.00 to have it replaced. 10-31-2013 I was washing a load of cloths and it was very noisy. I call the local dealer and they come out and said that it needs a drive shaft tub part #w10193886. I would be about $300.00 to replace the part. Also they charge $75.00 for a service call. I called Maytag and talked to Ashley (**) from customer service and she said they could not give me any help that the washer was too old. I might also add that my last washer was 3 years old and the motor needed to be replaced. It was also a Maytag. I always thought if you paid more money for quality it was worth it. I am sorry I did not buy a cheap machine from Sears or somewhere else. It would of been 1/2 of the cost and I could of replaced it after 3 years or so if necessary and still been money ahead. We also have 4 rental homes that have all Maytag in it. I will be holding my breath that they are not junk also. I will tell everyone I know not to buy Maytag and I will never own anything that has the Maytag name on it again.

Our Maytag washer 4000 series was installed on September 2010. Within 12 months and 5 days, we are now waiting for our second spin bearing to be replaced. It is a repair that takes 2 guys and 2 hours, and they basically have to replace the guts of the machine. I can imagine this is, at minimum, a $500 repair. We didnt buy the extended warranty, but luckily, the appliance shop was able to talk Maytag into eating the cost since we were only 5 days out. With the purchase of our new house, we upgraded from our appliance allowance to this model. With everything going on with the new house and selling our old one, I didnt do my normal internet searches for customer reviews and that was a mistake!Maytag has since sent us a warranty extension offer for $350, covering 3 more years. I guess Ill be buying that. It sucks that you pay top dollar for a washer only to find out that you have to pay an extra 40% just to keep it running for 4 years. No more Maytags for me, ever. Note to Maytag, you sell junk and your business goes into the ground. You are selling junk! Stop trying to squeeze every penny out of design and build, or you wont have a job.

Had side-by-side refrigerator for over 12 months - Went completely dead - Would need $500 work!!!!! Just got less 6 months. Now need filter for water and air filter!!!!!! I wish I can give it less than one star!!!!

We are on our 2nd Maytag refrigerator in 6 years and both units have failed. Maytag will not stand behind their product and the service company declined to come out to look at the unit because we were upset and contacting the BBB. So we have spent thousands on 2 refrigerator units that have lasted 2.5 to 3 years a piece. If I could give no stars I would and I would advise to look at other companies and models.

Same as everyone else, ice freezes up on the bottom and water runs out all over the floor, ruining my new floor. Whole kitchen was new including all appliances. Maytag is ruining my floors. Can find no drain pipes so not sure where the water is supposed to do. I think they forgot to install one. But I am getting pretty sick of seeing my floors ruined and stepping in water.

Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB6759AWS3 Does Not Start - If you are having the following problem, here is what I did to fix it. All of the lights on the touch pad would light-up when pressed but the dishwasher would not start. It appears to be a corrosion problem on the connector from the touch pad to the control panel. 1. Turn off power to the dishwasher. 2. Remove the inside cover to the dishwasher door - approximately 10 screws. 3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel still attached to the door. These are snap connectors. Always a good idea to label the connections before disconnecting in order to make sure everything goes back together properly. 4. Remove the black cover on the control panel. There are 3 screws. 5. Find the green conductor tape that connects the touch pad to the control panel. 6. You will remove the green conductor tape from the control panel. DONT just pull on it. There is a white piece of plastic that slides away from the control panel and toward the green conductor tape. It will remove pressure from the conductor tape and the conductor tape can then be disconnected from the control panel. 7. Get a good pencil eraser and clean off the exposed copper connectors in the conductor tape. 8. Place the conductor tape back into the control panel and slide the white plastic piece over it to reconnect the conductor tape to the control panel. 9. Replace cover on the control panel. 10. Reconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel. 11. Place inside cover of the dishwasher over the proper screw holes - make sure the bottom of the inside cover is overlapping the bottom of the door - or the door wont shut properly. 12. Replace screws.13. Turn on power and check.It worked for me and saved me time waiting for a repairman and expense of the repair.

My husband and I purchase both Maytag Washer and Dryer 7 month ago 2017, because we have purchase Maytag washer before and were very happy with it. But this new Washer does not clean clothes at all, it is worthless. We will not purchase another Maytag Washer again.

Maytag used to make a great laundry machine. The barrel of the Bravos XL machine is very deep, and it is difficult to reach the bottom of the machine to get clothes out. My biggest complaint is that the clothes dont get clean; there is not enough water filling the machine to clean the clothes. The clothes get wet, but there is no agitator, and the water isnt deep enough to suspend the dirt and wash it away, even on the deep wash setting. There is also a lot of lint left on the clothes that cant rinse off. Why is the barrel of the machine so deep if it only fills up 1/6 of the height? I had great hopes, but I really regret buying it.

I bought a washer and dryer a few months ago from Home Depot Maytag. My clothes do not come out wrinkle-free. They are very wrinkled, to the point where I have to iron the perma press. The dryer I just got rid of was 30 years old, and always got the wrinkles out of the clothes. So I am very disappointed in the way yours works. I dont know what you can do, but this is not good. Maytag Free Standing 30-inch Gas Range - In 2004 we bought our model MGR5775QDS gas range with 5-burners because it offered the most BTU variety for the price: 1 burner with a high BTU (16K), 1 with low (5K), plus 2 in mid-range (9.5K) and 1 with 12K. Within half a year of using the oven, we turned on the self-cleaning function. Big mistake. One cleaning cycle later, our oven refused to ignite. The cleaning cycle burned out the ignition unit. Cant remember if its replacement then was under warranty but the repairman said this was a COMMON PROBLEM with Maytag and we best not use it EVER. In 2014 our cleaning lady mistakenly thinking she was doing us a favor, set the self-cleaning function. Once again, the ignition unit was destroyed. This time its replacement was $350 with part and labor. One and half months later, the oven is again non-functioning. This time our repair guy said the part is a very minor, inexpensive one BUT MAYTAG IS NO LONGER MAKING IT!!! The only way well get our oven back is if he can find another model and cannibalize it to fix ours. Are we disgruntled? Yes. Would we like to see a class action suit against Maytag for knowingly manufacturing a gas range with a malfunctioning self-cleaning unit that destroys oven parts? Yes. Will we ever again buy Maytag? Not on your life. A once stellar manufacturer gone down the tubes with a growing reputation for making junk. American-made appliances mean zip these days. Thank you for nothing, Maytag.

The ranges are getting great but are more so with digital than buttons and knobs which they should still have, especially for the handicapped and some elderly who prefer them. It would help prevent injuries. It was hard for me to find the knobs.

We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

I purchased a new washer and dryer from Lowes a few months ago. I had my former washer and dryer for nearly 20 years and although the dryer started to have some issues, the washer worked wonderfully. To have a matching set, I decided to purchase both a new washer and dryer. I was told the Maytag Bravos XL model was the top of the line and could handle large loads. After just a few washes I realized this machine does not add enough water to get the top clothes wet and there is no agitator to pull the clothes into the water. I returned to Lowes and was told to use the deep water wash. I tried that and still had clothes coming out from the wash still dry and dirty. Unfortunately Lowes would not take the machines back and I was told to call Maytag. Maytag said there was nothing they could do except send out a technician for a service fee of $98 to help me determine if the machine is functioning correctly. I could not dislike a washer and dryer more! The dryer catches clothes on one of the screws inside and pulls fabric pieces out. This is in my opinion the worst washer dryer set I could imagine having. I will share my experience with as many people as I can to help others avoid making the costly mistake of purchasing a Maytag product. Maytag does not seem to care they have designed and sold a dysfunctional product!

I purchased my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer 5 years ago. About 2 months ago, my washer started making a lot of noise in the final spin cycle. Well, after I called my repair man (who I purchased the set from), they said that a back bearing is faulty. They suggested calling Maytag because the cost of the repair is $500. I called Maytag and was told that due to the age of my washer, there was nothing they could or would do for me. This is very poor customer service and very poor quality as far as I am concerned. I bought a Maytag microwave in Feb of 16. Six months later, last August, it stopped working correctly (light doesnt come on, will not start, continually says open/close door to start). I have been trying for THREE MONTHS to have this fixed. Multiple calls to Maytag have resulted in nothing but empty promises. Calls to the store where we purchased it do no good - you have to call Maytag. We got 6 months use out of a Maytag microwave which we paid EXTRA to have installed. At this point I dont want it fixed. I want it replaced. The Maytag brand used to stand for durability and integrity; now it stands for badly made products and pathetic customer service. Look up my phone number on your computers, Maytag, and you will see all the efforts Ive made to get this fixed.

So I get the matching set washer and dryer when I moved into my new house. I thought I was getting a nice set. I paid around $1600 for them with the sale they had going on. From day one the washer wouldnt get a full size comforter wet on the bulky cycle or heavy duty cycle. I even tried the extra rinse cycle on both as well. I would have stop it mid wash and rotate the comforter. Clothes wouldnt settle sometimes and would leave the top dry and bottom soaking wet. In the first year the lid latch started going bad. So sometimes you would go back to realize the load hadnt even started. Clothes dont get clean no matter what setting you use. It is the worst purchase Ive ever made. The dryer was ok until its almost second year. It just stopped drying it seemed. I cleaned EVERYTHING! No effect. It takes 3 full cycles at minimum to dry clothes. I cant understand why these machines arent pulled from the market or recalled because they are junk.

I bought the quiet series 200 dishwasher about 2 years ago. The control board went out and because it was past the industry standard one-year warranty, we were told we need to pay the cost of repair and parts ourselves. Well, I came here and seen that there were numerous complaints about that board specifically with all their models of dishwashers. I called and raised hell two times, and then I found them on Facebook and publicly bashed them there on their own page. They got back to me there and gave me an email address to explain my problem with their product. So I did. I even copied this web address and pasted it to my complaint. First, they called me and offered the part at 50% off. I told them, Go to hell. Even at 50% off the part combined with the techs labor, Im still better off buying a new machine and it will not be a Maytag ever again! A week after that another phone call came from them, this time saying they will cover the part 100%, but no labor. I agreed and for about $180 I got a new control panel installed and a one-year warranty on everything except cosmetic damage. Not bad, eh? Certainly not typical, I was told by the repair guy. Be angry, be respectful, but be persistent and public! That’s my advice.

When we first purchased our fridge, I was super excited. I have read the numerous reviews regarding ice in the bottom and the noise. Ours is noisy also. Nothing I cant live with. Now ice on the bottom. That doesnt work for me. A friend of ours told us the drain was plugged. Not that the doors needed to be replaced, nor does it need gaskets. All you need is a hair dryer and a man like mine who can build or fix anything (honest to God that is the truth). He took the drawers out and then removed the door to the freezer. In the center on the back of the fridge is a drain hole. Aim a hair dryer in this spot and it will melt the ice which is plugging the drain. Ours took about three years to have the water in the bottom issue. Since we have now seen where the drain hole is, there would be no need to take the door off and the drawers out. Now, one other preventive measure. Take off the lower back plate of the fridge. At the beginning of the drain hose is a rubber nipple. There is barely any room for the water to drain. We cut the end of the nipple off in order to make the water drain better and less likely to stop up. We just snipped a bit of the end. The reason it is designed like that is to prevent air from coming into the. Just a small snip. I hope this may help some of you. Tell the Maytag repairmen how to fix it.

Apparently the Maytag Bravos HE top loading washer is poorly designed. We have sparingly used this washer for approx 3 years and it began to make a horrible noise in the spin cycle and then to give us UL error codes. After searching on the internet we discovered that the seal around the main spin shaft and the bearings were bad. Inspection under the machine revealed a terrible rust and grease spot and splatters of rust and grease on underside of unit. This is a typical problem and this machine should have been recalled or at the very least repaired by Maytag for little if any cost. They now make a kit to fix this problem, but this should not happen after only 2-4 years of use on a $700+ machine. Very, very disappointed with Maytag! Customer service, of course, offered us nothing as pathetic 1 year warranty was expired. Ten year on the tub, like anything will go wrong with that.

I have a 4-year old Maytag refrigerator. The back of the top freezer compartment is frosted and frozen, and the bottom refrigerator is now too warm to put food into. I wonder if a lonely non-busy Maytag repairman can come and fix it? Oh wait! Thats the deceptive false advertising that I bought into when I wrongly assumed that these were great appliances. I cant afford to get this fixed and after what Ive read from other peoples experiences, it wouldnt matter anyway. It would just break again anyway. What a joke! I had the old style machine and finally it gave out and I bought an LG HE Large capacity. It was a well I can print it here but kept the machine for 5 years and gave it away. I bought a new Bravo Maytag set 5.2 with the old style agitator thinking I was going to get a great machine and NO. These new machines do not use enough water in the load sensing and clothes on top never get in the water. They come out with soap stains even with a double rinse. And no I am not using too much soap! My old machine had small medium and large load settings plus you could add more water if needed. Way better machine.The techs are trained to tell you this is how the machines work and there is nothing wrong with them. Finally an honest tech told me they are having all sorts of complaints and problems. If all you wash is bedding and dress clothes you get by but if you really have soiled clothes you have to do a lot of prep and then stop in the middle of the wash cycle and rotate your clothes manually! Total BS for 8-900 dollar machines. Do yourself a favor and buy a front load. At least the clothes will get flopped in and out of the water and hopefully rotate so they actually get clean. That is what I am going to try before I go back to the old scrub board and tub!

The right front heating element works at the high position only. The over doors viewing glass is too fragile. It shattered while positioning the range. Otherwise, there are no other issues with electric range.

The engineers at Maytag saved a few pennies by only using one thermistor for temperature control. It is in the box. There is nothing monitoring the temperature in the freezer. If you put your fridge in the garage where the temp is 40 degrees, the motor will never come on, and your frozen foods will melt! In my new MRT118FFFZ01 unit, the temperature in the box varies by plus or minus 3 degrees F, but the freezer varies from minus1 1 to plus 25 degrees F. 36 degrees difference! Lousy design. Have had two service calls, and they both said that this was the way it was designed and there is no fix for it.

I inherited the Maytag Bravo washing machine when I got married... should have stuck with my LG! The Bravo does not clean clothes properly, I have to wash fewer items in each wash and wash them on the power cycle! Wasting time, water, and electricity! Will be purchasing a different brand!

Within two years I am now faced with paying $600+ for a dishwasher for a second time. This is terrible customer service on Maytags part. They have lost my business and I am warning consumers on every platform I have.

New Maytag double oven installed by contractor in my house 18 months ago. I have had a few problems with it. The problem I am having today, the panel says error detected, remove from power source. I have had this problem a couple of times. I also have had the problem where the panel will not recognize anything I put in. I have to pull stove out of the small slot it is in, unplug and then push back. Not easy. I was the one that told contractor which Maytag range I wanted because I felt it was a good product. Problems from day one. This double oven/with range cost a pretty penny and I really cant afford a new one.

Bought this because it’s American made. It seems to be very glitchy. If you don’t use the detergent drawer it always flashes low detergent. The quick wash leaves soap on clothes. It acts up and leaves clothes too wet. No buzzer to tell you when it’s done. Have to hold button for 3 seconds to start. You can’t just hit button and walk away. Then wait for it to sense the load first to make sure it starts. Very expensive model.

The only complaint is the lights on the bottom quit working about a month after we purchased. It was nice to light up the stovetop when cooking. Now it’s slightly dark. I have gotten used to this. We spent about $8000 on all the matching Maytag appliances we purchased. I would love to replace all but not in the budget. I am a dissatisfied Maytag customer.

Was very happy with choice when it arrived. Bought October of 2010. Now, this summer, nothing but problems. Honestly weekly cleaning of vents underneath, sheets of ice in freezer, refrigerator not staying cool, constant frost plugging areas, and no more ideas of how to make it work. I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL MCT because It could wash King size comforters/bed linen. I needed a machine that was large capacity. Also it was an HE washer that cut my water usage down quite a bit and reduced my water cost. Also this machine did a great job of cleaning my clothes and household items. The features were good. Variety of load type water temp if it was delicate, bedding, denim and more. I have had it for 5 years and so far no problems. It came with a 10 year warranty.

Our 3-year-old Maytag refrigerator, MFF2558VEAZ, is forming a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. The ice partially melts for some reason, and then water leaks out at both bottom corners, usually once a day. Others have reported the same problem. Contact with a repair person is yet to be done. This must represent a factory defect.

We bought our $600 Maytag dishwasher less than two years ago and have had three separate problems with it, from faulty instillation, to a faulty seal to faulty control panel. The first problem was covered under warranty, the second problem we fixed ourselves and the third problem, nothing can be done except pay an additional fee of $250+ for a new part. Maytag used to be a good name but with three problems in under two years, the only guarantee given is that if you buy one, be prepared for problems. This company does not stand by their products and will only ask for more money to fix their faulty items.

My Atlantis dryer has never been able to be used on more/less dryer settings, I have had 4 repairmen repair my dryer 3 were while dryer was under warranty to fix the same thing 3 times wiring 4th time, anyway last repairman said my More dry wont work because I never had a sensor installed in my dryer and there is not a place for one so since 2005. Ive used timed dry only or my dryer runs all the time. I am concerned the first 3 repairmen never caught this. I should not have to be responsible for this either. Please have a manager contact me and have them check into my Atlantis Maytag dryer bought in 2005 and all the repair slips sent to Maytag.I used Green Yates in Joplin. Pretty sure. I thought I just had to live with it they would put new parts on I think timer, thermostats anyway can someone tell me for sure or inspect for yourself. I am single and dryer never used that much. I bought a Maytag MDB8959SBS2 December 2013 with several major appliances for our new home while they were all deeply discounted and bundled with cabinets etc from Lowes. Moved in June 2014. Said dishwasher crapped out last month (May 2015). Buttons all fouled up, push normal and 6 other lights come on. Tried different resets, reboots, power down all no good. I ordered parts to repair, control board, control box, no luck. No warranty because purchase date was December 2013. This thing didnt last 11 months of use, and its just my wife and I running maybe 2 loads per week. I will certainly do more research and buy a foreign make/model or at least one not made by Maytag or affiliated brand. Unfortunately this supposed Made in the USA sticker sure doesnt stand for quality with this company.

13 months after purchasing MDB7749SBM3 dishwasher this lights started making no sense. For me the buttons still work, but it seems like only a matter of time until they stop working too. Like many others, I opened up the door and found the corroded ribbon connector (see photo). It wasnt damp so since the corrosion happened at the point where a ridge of plastic presses the ribbon against the hot handle, I suspect heat. Obviously a design flaw. Come on Maytag. Recall?

Called Maytag to set up service call at around 9am for my washer, was given a rate of $129.00. Thought it was High but it was my only off day and felt confident that it would be a reputable company. If Maytag Priority Service would refer A&E Factory Service to me for service they must be a reputable company. I was sadly disappointed after numerous calls to A&E Factory service, a 5 hour window was not met and they were not concerned other than they would document it. Then I find out that A&E Factory Service has a Rating of 1 1/2 Star rating out of 5 and thousands of complaints to BBB and Consumer Affairs, dropped by Lowes for horrible customer service but Maytag Priority Service recommends them to service their product, says Volume on how Maytag takes care of their Valued customer after the sale. Maytag has lost a customer for life. A product without customer service and trust is nothing but a piece of metal!!!! I will be picking another Brand that doesnt use A&E. Maytag you have lost my trust and you cant buy that back.

All I can say is, Wow. My Maytag washer and dryer have never needed anything in 21 years of service. Purchased in 1997 at Lowes in Chambersburg, PA. Both work and look like new! Both are top of the line units. Would buy again!

We bought a Maytag Bravos XL MCT Washer from Lowes in Oct of 2016. We had cycle issues with it in Sept of 2018 and called the Appliance Repair Service. IT was determined that the Electronic Control board and UIC was bad and needed to be replaced. Estimated cost - +$700.00. We bought Maytag because we thought it was dependable. Not so. Less than two years of use and repairs are more than we paid for machine ($639.00). Receipt would not upload.

This one of the worst purchases I have ever made! Paid over $850 in March, 2015 for the Maytag Bravos XL. At first, we experienced leaking and now there is a terrible banging and clanging noise! Had an appliance repairman come to see what was going on. Apparently it needs a hub replacement and bearing replacement. Was told by two companies that it is not cost effective to fix it due to the amount of parts and labor.Aside from this major issue, I never felt that the clothes came out clean. Many times, the clothes would come out with detergent all stuck to the clothes and had to be rewashed. The softener and bleach dispensers are not removable and it is nearly impossible to get all the way into the cup in order to clean the mildew that builds up. The fabric softener dispenser always had gummed up chunks.Called Maytag several times to no avail. Was basically told - too bad its out of warranty. I have never heard of a washer giving out after 3 years! The worst part is that I have searched many places on the Internet and apparently the bearing problem seems to be a common issue with this washer. I purposely bought an American made product and am extremely disappointed in not only this product, but the company as a whole. The customer service department is awful. I will NEVER purchase Maytag or Whirlpool ever again. They lost my business for putting a terrible product on the market and refusing to acknowledge flaws. Interesting that this model is now discontinued, but they refuse to acknowledge the problems. Stay away from Maytag and/or Whirlpool!

We bought a Maytag refrigerator bottom freezer at Home Depot in 2012/10/15. A few months ago, a sheet of ice formed on the bottom of the freezer. Since the warranty expired, I decided to look at the problem. Now, I am a mechanical person who usually can fix just about anything mechanical. I used a hair dryer to defrost the freezer and saw that the drainage hole was frozen over. I took the entire freezer apart, cleaned the drainage channel, the drainage hole and reassembled the freezer. No more than 24 hours later, the drainage hole was covered with 1/4-1/3 thick ice, the drainage hose and the tray were dry, and the bottom of the freezer was coated with ice. This one problem that I could not solve. The design is so poor, the draining water freezes over the hole before it drains. I read some of the consumers complaints and I just want to add that do NOT waste your money on repairmen, or parts from Maytag, the refrigerator is NOT repairable. I will write off my loss of $900 and look for a new refrigerator, but Maytag will never see my money again.

I have a Maytag Centennial washer & dryer put into service in August 2011. The washer has recently gotten quite noisy, so I had a repairman out to look at it. He found that the bearings are going out & estimated repair costs at $360. He actually did not recommend repair, as the repair costs approach half the price of a new washer. I am very angry about this, as this is quite a new washer & was not a cheap model. There are only 2 of us in the house, so I only wash an average of half a dozen loads a week. I never jam the tub full, basically baby the washer so it will last. Much good that has done! Im old enough to remember when Maytag was the best in laundry appliances, expected to last for many years. I bought the Maytag because my last (top-of-the-line) Whirlpool set required a number of repairs, not realizing that Whirlpool had purchased Maytag. I will be using this washer until the bearing seize & then I will be buying a non-Whirlpool product Im afraid that will mean a foreign brand. I really prefer to buy American, but apparently, thanks to Whirlpool, that is no longer possible!

Model# MVWB850WQ0, Serial# CY4070329, Type 580-02. Bought this Commercial Technology washer 2-1/2 years ago thinking the commercial model would be heavy duty. It was only heavy on the wallet. The washer started to emit a loud roaring sound two weeks ago that never happened before. It happens on spin cycle. We cant even have a normal conversation in the house. After reading similar problems and outrageous cost to repair, Im leaning to look for a replacement without the Maytag label. My 10+ year old Sears Kenmore didnt have any problems. My mistake was to replace it with a more efficient washer. I guess New+Efficient doesnt equal long lasting for Maytag. You would think a major manufacturer would put in heavy duty bearings in a washing machine. Heck, maybe the bearings are heavy duty but design shortens bearing life. Enough time spent on Maytag. Stay away!

We purchased our Maytag fridge on May 13, 2013. On June 19, 2013, it stopped working. We called Home Depot where we bought the fridge and they told us that we would have to deal with Maytag. What a nightmare. The repair guy came out and ordered a compressor for the fridge. 2 days later, when the compressor came in, the repair guy told us that the fridge was unrepairable. Great, what was I supposed to do with this hunk of metal now? I called Home Depot back, and they ordered me a new fridge, added a five-year warranty for free, and the Store Manager even dropped off a small dorm size fridge for us till our new one came in. Yeah for Home Depot!!!! I would recommend no one ever buy a Maytag product again - what a piece of junk. Their customer service didnt even care; they had the same old story - We will get back with you in 72 hours. Maytag was good when it was built in the US; now its just more China Junk.

Maytag Bravos MCT washer not good - Owned this since June 2017. This thing has never worked properly. Every time after a cycle is complete we have to wring the soaked clothes by hand. Even after doing this the drying time ends up being double what it should be because the clothes are so wet. Not only time wasted on hand wringing clothes but also wasted energy in drying them afterwards. Also this thing is supposed to auto-detect how much water it should use but half of the time it uses too little water and doesn’t actually wash all of the clothes. Some clothes stay totally dry when this happens.

I purchased a Maytag washer on 7/23/11 from HHGregg. The salesperson told us they would highly recommend the new (HE) washer and said that everyone will start selling these only. So I bought your Maytag HE washer Centennial commercial brand. My complaint is my clothes dont seem to get clean. I have started putting less clothes in each load to see if that would help and it does not seem to help. When my clothes still come out smelling like my perfume and there are dry spots on my clothes, this tells me my clothes are not getting cleaned. I also have very sensitive skin. If my clothes were not rinsed good enough, I itch very bad. I called the store I bought this at and the salesperson I spoke with also said there were other complaints about HE washers. I wish I would have never bought a (HE) washer.

I purchased my new refrigerator in 2005. Within 3 months, the bottom freezer went out. I had purchased warranty and it was fixed. Again, the fan went out 1 year later with the same exact problem. Now, it went out again 2 years later with the same exact problem. I called Maytag and they do not care. They are rude and simply will not fix this refrigerator. The warranty is gone and again, I have to pay for this constant problem. Why doesnt Maytag own up and service this problem. Didnt we pay for this? It wasnt given to us free. Someone needs to step up and gets it resolved for consumers. If legal action needs to bring this to their ignorance, so be it. We all have spent a great deal of money on a refrigerator and all they do is say, is “Too bad. How can any company continue to be in business and operate this way?

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator (freezer on top) model m1txegmyw00 in May 2012 and the compressor recently failed roughly 3 months from the two-year mark. We first noticed the issue this winter when the bottom level of the fridge start freezing our food. We adjusted the internal temperature setting down, but this did nothing. Then the compressor started cycling on/off for roughly 5 minutes at a time. After we noticed that, the freezer no longer kept things frozen. We called the Maytag repairman ($80 including taxes just to visit). He said the compressor is gone and that They dont make them like they used to. - I thought he was joking. He also recommended getting a servicing contract on a new fridge (but I would expect that from a serviceman). The cost to replace the compressor was over $600 and their work is only guaranteed on that part for 3 months (so anything else in the fridge could go wrong). I asked if we could have avoided this - he said it was possible that if we had unplugged the fridge for 10 minutes when we noticed the on/off cycling, it might have given the fridge time to reset (so take that for what it is worth). Our previous fridge lasted over 8 years - I dont understand how Maytag (owned by Whirlpool) can sell a high ticket item that will work for less than two years. I will not be purchasing another one.
