I purchased a Maytag Gemini April 22 2017 and I am very unhappy with it. The ovens are not working properly. I have thrown away so much food because the ovens won’t hold temperature. The display says it’s the temp. I set it but the temp keeps dropping and rising causing the bottom and top to burn and inside not to cook. Both ovens are doing it. Had a repairman come day before Christmas. He said there is nothing wrong. He said set temp, when preheat beep goes off wait 15 minutes for it to cycle then insert food. I tried this Christmas Day. Oven is still not working and again I threw away more food. I am so disappointed in Maytag. Serviceman is set up again to come out next week. I think I got a lemon. Please. I think they should replace the whole range. It’s not fair. I paid so much for this range and can’t use it.

Do not purchase this microwave! I checked the reviews and thought they couldnt all have the same problem. THEY DO! This Maytag Microwave MMV4205DS1 has some faulty switch in the door latch mechanism. The warranty repair company came and adjusted the switches... and then fully replaced the switches. Each time it worked for about 30-60 days and then the same error would repeat itself. Never resolved... buying a different microwave. Be sure to check all reviews for repetitive complaints.This microwave will NOT function AT ALL with the door open/close message. Here are the details of our microwave. Purchased from Home Depot December 2015. First experienced the open/close door message around June 2016 (6 months after purchase). With the open/close door message, the interior light will not come on, the keypad will accept entries but will give the open/close door message as soon as start is pressed. Repaired under warranty August 2016. Repairman tightened and replaced one of the two fuses behind the metal plate. Also moved the door connectors as far as they would go to help with the door sensor issue. Worked until mid-December. Same message reappeared. Called repair company. Still under warranty. He order new switch parts and installed in January 2017. Microwave worked for 2 months. Then same exact door/open close message. Called repair company. Since we do not have an extended warranty, the parts would be covered but not the labor. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MICROWAVE or any other microwave that has reviews listing a door open/close issue. It will not go away! ...and you will be very frustrated.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer about 2 years ago; dissatisfied with the products. Washer continues to smell. I clean it all the time with the Affresh tablets. Usually, I have to use 2 bags just to get it not to smell for at least 2 weeks. Now, the glass front dryer is rusting out around the window.

Control Panel MDB8949SBB - I purchased my dishwasher in August of 2013. The control panel has stopped working and Maytag refuses to discuss the issue with us. Regardless of how many complaints they receive they are in denial about their product. They now offer a Repair +1 program which costs $260 for a repair and an additional 1 year warranty. If I do that I will get 1 year out of it before I run into the same problems. Any ideas?

The washer I bought brand new has never worked well. The clothes end up all bunched and twisted up together. The bleach is not distributed properly, I have big blotches of white spots. It is leveled, still shakes and everything is on one side

Some difficulty in cleaning the range around the burners when spatters occur, no matter what you use it is very tight to get around the actual burner to remove that residue. I have tried many approaches and several types of cleaners to get the residue marks off the brushed stainless surface.

We purchased the HE commercial brand for our family of 7. It has been running mostly fine for about 2 1/2 years. It started making a horrible grinding noise about 3 months ago. It was getting worse and worse. I decided to google the issue and discovered there was a common problem with a nut falling off the bottom. I leaned the washer back and found the nut on the floor, right below the center of the pulley. I reattached it by removing the pulley guard which had been getting cut by the loose and wobbly pulley, put some superglue on the nut and reattached it to the bottom. NO MORE NOISE!! Im willing to bet that this has caused slippage of the pulley, poor performance and many other issues. Maytag should do something about it.

I bought the Maytag MVWX700XL1 (Bravos X) model in 2012 from Home Depot. I paid over $800 for this washer. I knew I was in trouble when I found dry spots on clothes after the washing completed. I started using the Bulky cycle. So much for saving water. It has not been overused, its only two of us. Today the spin cycle sounds like a train. The washing cycle has stopped working completely. Im very dissatisfied with this washer.

I bought a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 washer just over two years ago from Home Depot. The control board and sensor went out last week. The service technician seemed rather surprised that a newer machine would have that kind of non-wear-and-tear problem and suggested that I contact Maytag/Whirlpool to see if they could help offset the parts costs, as the repair was going to cost over $600! The customer service agent I spoke with said that there was nothing they could do because the item did not have an extended warranty. I explained to her that we purchased this unit, even though it was out of our price range, because we were told that it would last a lifetime. I would have been happy if it would have just lasted 5 years! She was very detached and it was clear that Maytag/Whirlpool was not going to stand behind their product. I will now take the repair money and go buy a new washer. You can be sure that it absolutely will not have the Maytag/Whirlpool brand!

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDBTT60AWW3. Shortly after manufacturer warranty ran out, the control panel went out. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. The repair company came out and put a new control panel in it. Two months later, the control panel goes out again. The warranty firm sends out a different repair company. They replace the control panel again. This time it doesnt work. They replace some of the buttons as according to the repair person they arent registering the correct OHM reading. It works again. Yay!. A week later, its not working again. The repair company is coming back. This is really starting to get old. Between the multiple times it has broken down, waiting for the repair company to come out, diagnose the problem and order parts, we have been without a dishwasher for approx. 2 months the multiple times it has broken down. Im so fed up with this thing. I also will never ever buy another Maytag again. They need to have a major recall on these because of the terrible, terrible control panel. This isnt just me, its a lot of people.

Ive had my Maytag (above range model) for about 4 months. The same as everyone else with open/close door error. Faulty door switch. When the interior light doesnt come on, I know I will get the error. You would think Maytag would have already repaired or replaced this door switch part.

We purchased a new Maytag french door refrigerator and from day one had issues with the ice maker. After three replacements Maytag informed me that this was an inherent issues and no fix available. So we had a $2000+ refrigerator with a non-functioning ice maker. Our 20 year old Frigidaire continues to make ice with no issues. Then the control panel lights started blinking and evidently this is also a known problem and when I called Maytag to buy the part, they said SORRY we dont offer parts on our appliances over 6 years old. This is the worst piece of ** I have ever owned coupled with the lousiest customer service in the world. I will never buy another Maytag.

A pure piece of junk this wash machine is. It is more of a merry go round than a wash machine. I do not understand how it can be called energy efficient. All it does is spin and spin and clothes come out as beautifully dirty as they were loaded. If you make the mistake of putting a few extra clothes (machine calls itself a large capacity), clothes bunch up and one has to pull them apart. The bleach dispenser was used as one would use a bleach dispenser. However it is all rusted. I had bought extended warranty from Lowes but Lowes did not honor the warranty saying rust was a cosmetic issue. Yet when Lowes sold the extended warranty, they did not specify cosmetics were not covered. It is not even cosmetic. It simply is cheap enamel paint.I have used 200 dollar wash machines but never have I experienced such a horrible and annoying product. I will try one more time to see if Maytag will help out with the rust issue. If not, I will simply cut my losses and buy a regular cheap machine. Maytag should be ashamed of itself. I bought a Maytag because I thought they made the best machines!!! Oh! Well, maybe they did at one time.

I purchased a new Maytag refrigerator on September 21, 2007. The refrigerator compressor went out on July 19, 2011, three years and ten months. The repairman said that the compressor developed a pin hole leak and all the freon leaked out. The repair cost appear to be around $300 when completed, hopefully. What a crappy refrigerator. It seems that this is a regular problem with all types of Maytag appliances. Maytag is no longer a premium appliance. Stay clear from purchasing one!

This is a top load washer, commercial series, high efficiency without any agitator. It doesnt use enough water to break down the soap, no matter what soap or amount is used. Clothes come out of the machine with soap patches. It is also virtually impossible to balance the load so when it spins, it bangs and thumps and walks across the room until it shuts itself down. Stirring and re-distributing the load, changing the size of the load, small or large (should you actually fill the tub to a full load per instructions) it simply doesnt distribute or balance itself at all. At the end of the day, clothes need more water for extra rinse and then doesnt seem to work with soap removal all of the time. You cant put a load in and walk away and do something else or it will bang around and turn off. A waste of money and time. Save yourself, buy something else.

Seems a little ** one of a small child crawled into the washer and a sibling turned it on. We have been married 35 years and seen a lot of washers and this is by far the worst wash machine Ive ever seen. How would you rather do my wash in an old fashioned mangler? Very unsatisfied customer.

Although we have always had Maytags, this was the first time we purchased a front load washer. The Maytag Neptune washer smells and your clothes stink. We have purchased the most expensive laundry products, washed and rewashed clothes and have no other recourse but to buy new machines again. We will not be purchasing Maytag or Whirlpool. I would give it a minus 5 stars.

Maytag washer MVWC565FW - Clothes do not wash. They just get pushed around and the soap scum is left on the clothes even with the water at the highest level. I bought the washer override lid switch at a appliance parts store just to observe the washer cycles. The washer did not wash the clothes. I took the washer back. I like Maytag products but this washer has to be engineered.

We have a Maxima washer which is about two years old. The tub around the barrel cracked and flooded the laundry room. The repair person said it would cost more to fix than replace. Very unsatisfied. We are trying to deal with the company but not optimistic.

We purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot; a couple months later the dryer started to rattle so we contacted Maytag and they sent a service tech out who stated this was normal as the dryer was settling and parts are not as tight as they are when new. This was a garbage response and he was asked to leave. I contact Maytag again, told them of the problem and the tech response and they offered to send another tech out except I would have to pay for the service call since they already sent someone out. I sent them an audio file of the rattle, no reply. Eventually Home Depot ended up replacing the dryer as Maytag refused to help me despite it being in the warranty period.

I do not recommend this product. I purchased them 2 years ago. Within one month, the drum stopped working on the dryer. This was covered under warranty. In the last month, though, I have noticed that there are blue stains on the new drum. I do not leave clothes in the dryer wet. Last week, the washer stopped agitating or cleaning clothes even though the cycle would still run. I called for a service call and paid $82 for this. I found out the transmission was not working. This is not covered under the warranty. The warranty for entire machine is only 1 year. The 2-10 year warranty only covers the drive motor and wash basket. I cannot understand why a transmission is not covered. I feel like they are not standing behind their product. Finally, after a lot of talking, I did get Maytag to agree to cover the cost of the transmission part; but I am still obligated to pay $150 for labor. Why are products not standing up to use as in the past? I am very disappointed with these products.

Maytag washer mvwc565fw: You have heard about how noisy they are & dont fill up enough water unless you set it on deep water wash. I cant get the right water temp. Its cold, cold warm. No hot at all. Sorry I ever bought the piece of junk. Only have had it a month too. The last washer I had it at least lasted 4 years. Wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy.

We bought this washing machine 2 years ago and I was never really satisfied with how it cleaned the clothes. Darker pants would come out with white soap/water lines on them. The worst part, 2 years in, the washer basket seal failed and the bearings rusted. The washer sounds like a tornado every time it runs. I got a quote for $350 to repair it!

I purchased my Maytag Neptune pair on Jan. 24, 2005. I was unaware of the problems and lawsuit related to these items. Luckily, I didnt have any problems with them until May of this year. At that time, I spent $337.00 for a new control panel for the dryer. (Just because I didnt want to split up my set.) I expected them to last me for the rest of my life. Of course, the washer had started to do something even the repair man had never heard of before, right about the same time. I told him that the tub would fill up with gallons of water, and surprise me when I opened the door on various occasions, flooding my laundry room and the basement downstairs. Mind you, this would occur even with the water supply cut off to the machine, no hot or cold running to it.He performed a diagnostic test on it and said everything showed up fine. Of course, it didnt overflow while he was here. He is the one who told me about all the trouble and the lawsuits. I had wondered why I didnt see them for sale anymore. I have been keeping the water turned off except when I need to use it after all this time. It still happens! The repairman thought I was senile or something. I dont have a mold problem, no trouble with the door lock (yet), and out of all the comments and complaints Ive read online today, only this site had one with a problem of it flooding the house. My husband and I are on a fixed income, and here is this unit (that I thought would be my last) rotting out my floor and wall in the laundry room, and flooding my basement. Not to mention it rusting out the inside of the washer and its pedestal. I would like to hear from anyone else who had this water problem, and what it took to fix it.

From day one I didnt like how this machine restricted how I can wash my clothing. There is no water volume controller. It is all automatic, which sounded fine in the store, but once I used it I quickly realized it is horrible. I can not add extra laundry or detergent in at the last minute because it says not to open the lid at all once you start the load. The settings are very glitchy. They do not seem consistent. There is a knob for level of soil on the clothing which doesnt seem to do anything at all. Ive had it now for four years and it has only gotten worse. Now I can only use one setting Hand Wash. Try doing a teenage boys clothes in Hand Wash and youll find out quickly that nothing gets clean that way. Oh, and all of the sudden the spin cycles are not working, they spin when they want to but they rarely get rid of the dirty water. Spinning in dirty water does not get clothes clean either. This machine is horrible, hands down, the worst washing machine I have ever owned.

We purchased a Maytag 4.2-cu ft High Efficiency Top Load Washer from Lowes. The pump went out within 6 weeks of purchase. Maytag could not get a technician to come to our area to fix the washer. They finally told me they would give me $150.00 for labor if I found someone to fix it. We ended up taking it to a Maytag certified repair shop. It cost us a $99.00 service fee. They ordered a new pump from Maytag, part cost 137.46. I called to get a reimbursement from Maytag and they denied my claim. Their reason I was told was because I didnt call the part in myself. I dont understand why they didnt even reimburse the $99.00. The washer was a lemon and Maytag did not honor their offer, nor the warranty. Very time consuming and bad experience.

In the winter of 2007, we remodeled our kitchen and bought all new Maytag appliances. They cost a little more but we felt that we were getting a good quality product. Within months, the handle on the freezer became loose and I had to call for a repairman to tighten it. He told me we should buy the extended warranty because only a trained repairman could fix the handle. That turned out to be untrue thankfully because if it was true, I would have to call for repair at least once a month. The handle is constantly coming loose. A few months later, the microwave would turn on when the door was closed. I called repair as it was still under warranty. After he removed and replaced the door, I was told that we have to be careful when we close the microwave. There was nothing he could do to stop the problem. Approximately three years after we purchased the appliances, we had a problem with the dishwasher. We could only use one function; the others would not work. We were told by the technician that we got water into the door where the controls are and ruined the motherboard. I never heard anything so absurd. I have had a dishwasher in the same place for 25 years with no mishap. The cost of repair was $800. A few months later, we had a problem with the large burner on our cooktop. The outer coils heat up but the inner coils do not. I have yet to call for repair because I do not trust Maytag. Now, our microwave does not work. My husband used it to make popcorn with no problem. A little while later, I tried to heat a cup of coffee and it would not heat. The keypad works, the light comes on in the microwave but the motor does not run. Needless to say, we are very unhappy and will never buy another Maytag appliance. I wish I would have read the reviews before we purchased the appliances. Two of our friends had their kitchens remodeled at the same time we did and they have not had any problems with their appliances. But they didnt buy Maytag. I guess thats why.

We purchased all new appliances 3 years ago including a Maytag dishwasher. Same problem as a lot of others. We had the control board fail three times in just four months. Now today the repairman came and while he was here contacted other Sears technicians and Whirlpool technicians. They came up with the idea to replace the detergent dispenser which they said is causing the main control board to fail. However, while the tech was on the line with Sears and Whirlpool they done troubleshooting on the detergent dispenser and found that it was all within specifications. In fact, that was not a problem because it worked as it should. But in their wisdom they decided to replace the detergent dispenser. We now have to wait another ten days for the part to arrive and reschedule another appointment to have the detergent dispenser that works replaced. The serviceman that was at our house said that they are making him replace a part that is working and that this does not need to be done but he has to take instructions from Sears technicians. Our service person said that he doesnt anticipate that replacing the detergent dispenser will make the dishwasher work but he said if it does it will only last a few weeks as before and then fail once again. We have the dishwasher on extended warranty and there are about 22 months. I suspect that this one will be going to court to get resolved. Never Maytag again or Whirlpool.

I bought a front loading Maytag Cloths washer model# MHW3505FW1, SER# C71451407 new in April 2017, from Home Depot, since then it has broken down three times, with a water pump, a master board, and now another master board, we were told by the appliance repair service that is used by Home Depot extended warranty service, that it will take a month to receive the master board. Thats it... Never again will we buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product. This is unacceptable. Gone are the years when Whirlpool and Maytag made quality products!

During 2018 we purchased Maytag Bravos top loader to replace antique KitchenAid. Very dissatisfied at first, but luckily found the settings that makes my machine work very well on every cycle. First add 1/2 gallon of water to empty tub. Add detergent. Set controls at: Soil Level-Heavy; Wash temp - Warm; Main dial - Bulky Sheets; Extra Rinse - ON; Fabric Softner - OFF. Can now load full tub of clothes and more detergent if desired. Press start button and water covers it entirely. It works so well now, that I went from I hate it to I love it. Been going for two perfect months with no issues. Weird but true. Hope this helps you.

I purchased my machine on June 2, 2021 and it was delivered and installed on June 4. I have successfully done two loads of laundry. On June 9, I attempted washing two small bath mats and 2 dish towels. When I returned to the laundry room to place the load in my dryer, I found the the items in soapy water. I tried many times to reset the load with no success. On June 10th I called Maytag’s customer service and spoke with an associate who walked me through a couple of common quick fixes. These also were unsuccessful. She referred me to warranty service. I will not be able to have my machine repaired until June 23rd! Obviously, if their repair department is so overwhelmed, the products they sell are a piece of junk. I am furious with both the product and the service I have received.

We bought new appliances when we moved to our new house last June (2016). Sears recommended the Maytag 600S pair (HE washer and dryer). We have contacted Sears numerous time to have service people out because many times (75%) the washer does not fill with enough water to wet all the clothes and there is a layer of dry clothes at the top when the wash cycle ends.I do not believe that dry clothes get clean because they are near wet clothes in the washer. But Sears insists this is by design. Some service people tell us that the top loading HE washer will be gone soon because of the complaints but we have to struggle on. Sears seems to hope we just get tired and stop calling as their Customer Service policy. I have to dump 1-2 buckets of water into almost every wash that we do. As a side note, the 600S series has a slanted top rather than the traditional flat top. It looks cute but things fall/roll off of it. It would be nice to put things on top of the washer or dryer while doing the laundry but they roll/slide/fall off. The design is not so cute anymore. Actually, really a stupid idea.

Maytag dishwasher mdbh979sam1 - Every single one of the Maytag/whirlpool dishwashers with soft pushbuttons and LEDs will fail--check it on YouTube. They have a very thin printed circuit strip from the door controller to the brains, and this rusts through in a few years. You must buy the whole controller for $150, you cant replace just the ribbon. And youll be doing this every few years. Maytag disavows this if you call them. The design runs the steam past this ribbon, so it corrodes really fast. Get a real pushbutton or a real dial knob model instead. With this model, the issue shows up when the LED pushbuttons stop responding or randomly light.

The refrigerator works well. No problems. Easy to move to clean behind it. Good value. I havent had any problems since I bought it. Keeps a steady temp; Its exactly the size I needed; has plenty of space. Its a plain fridge with a reasonable price!

I bought this Maytag Dryer in May 23, 2015. I had nothing but problems. I had 4 techs come out and say different reasons why it does not work. I had the vent exhaust clean out. Still not working, the one tech said there was not enough clothes for the dryer to sense it wet. I did a huge load, still doesn’t work. The sensor for the vent keeps popping up and it’s cleaned. I have to pull it out and in to get the signal light out. Cant turn on the machine. It still does not work. I tried contacting Lowe’s, since I bought an additional services plan. They said I have to call every thirty days for three months. That means I have to take my time out of work and wait for a tech for three months to get make a complaint and TRY to get new one. I really disappointed with Maytag and Lowe’s. I have a tech coming out this Monday, 11/23/2015 for another services call. I will never buy at Lowe’s or Maytag again. How many times does a certified tech from Maytag have to come out check a brand new dryer?

We purchased this oven (MGR5775QDS ) along with a Refrigerator/Freezer, Dishwasher and Microwave on 2007 when we remodeled our kitchen. Since then the Refrigerator had to be serviced twice, the Dishwasher had a recall for fire safety - repaired, but I still have a scorched bottom tray, and the oven after self cleaning once has warped and the racks will not hold anything with any weight without collapsing. Maytag sent me new racks about a year ago, but that didnt help. I grill most of my meals or cook on the stovetop but on the rare occasion we try and use the oven it’s a nightmare. We lost a Thanksgiving Turkey and Easter Ham and recently a lasagna and a glass pan. Every time we have one of these events I search the internet in hopes that there has been some kind of recall on this model. It’s not safe. When the 20 lb turkey came crashing down, my wife was nearly burned by the juices that splattered and the house filled up with smoke. Happy Thanksgiving from Maytag - everyone go stand outside in the cold for 1/2 an hour while we clear out the smoke in the house. Recently when the rack collapsed and hot lasagna came crashing down, the glass/pyrex tray broke and left a huge bubbly mess in the bottom of the oven. Yay Maytag, thanks again - ruined a dinner, broke a dish and since we can’t use the self clean option, spent the rest of the evening scrubbing out the oven... and eating takeout food on Valentine’s Day. Sounds like the perfect Romantic evening right? I am so sickened with this company. We purchased all Maytag appliances because of their reputation. But now they dont even stand behind their products. What a shame.

MVWC200BW0 - Washer starts to fill and then drains before completing the fill cycle. Contacted Maytag through the live chat on their website (cant talk to a real person on phone). Since my one year warranty had been expired 12 days I was told to contact a certified repair person. They offered no help in solving my problem. Told nothing they could do, warranty had expired. Maytag will never get my business again. Now I know why the Maytag repairman is so lonely, people have quit buying Maytags.

This has been the worst washing machine I have ever owned!!! Purchased 3 years ago and this is the 3rd time the bearings dont work again. It make loud clanking noises. Then fails to spin at all. The first time it broke was the 1st year we owned it. It is sitting in our hallway and I can hardly wait for it to leave my house. Talked to the local appliance dealer and they never recommends these washers. I told dealer I must have gotten a lemon. He replied that it wasnt a lemon, that the machine tubs have gotten so much bigger and they have needed to upgrade the bearing system and are unwilling to do it. Dealer has highly recommended the Speed Queen. Based on the stellar reviews that is what will be coming to our house today. I can hardly wait. I know, its just a washing machine but frustration has overcome me. The Speed Queen has no plastic parts. We went with the knob style as opposed to the electronic push buttons. Less to go wrong. The warranty on the Speed Queen is top of the line, 5-year parts and labor. The salesperson didnt even try to sell me a warranty. No need to. Speed Queen stands by their product. I only recommend the Maytag Bravo XL if you dont have enough stress in your life.

I love the fact that there is no agitator in this machine. It give lots of room when washing bulky comforters. I also love the vast amount of settings for load size and the soil settings. The con of this washer is that it has broken down on us twice in the 2 years since we purchased it. The pump has gone out both times. Unfortunately it looks like we will be making a purchase of a new washer in the near future because another mechanical issue has arose.

We bought a Maytag appliance package when we built our house in 2015. So far the exchange Fan burned out in the fridge. The element burned out on the range. The wheels broke off inside the dishwasher on the racks inside and the outside of the white dishwasher is rusting worse than 1959 Edsel. 3.5 years old. Broken and rusty. I called and emailed Maytag customer service and all they say is it’s out of warranty and they’re sorry. Things break I get it but if they said on the box when I purchased it that it would rust in 3.5 years I would have looked at and purchased another brand. Beware of the cheaply made poor customer service of the new Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Washer and companion dryer in March 2018. I like to wash our king size bedding often and liked that this model had no agitator and could accompany the large loads. I am using the extra rinse constantly since I dont trust the amount of water (not) used. The dryer however, is worthless! No matter the garment or setting, everything comes out in a ball. Tshirts are twisted and wrinkled and half wet. I end up rewashing almost everything then being a guardian for the dryer---checking and rechecking every load. Maytag says sorry, its out of warranty. I absolutely hate these appliances!

I purchased 4 new Maytag appliances as part of a kitchen update. The dishwasher was the first to fail, less than a year after being installed. The control panel stopped working (random lights would come on, always different from the one being pressed, and frequently incompatible selections such as Rinse Only and Sanitize. PC Richards sent a repairman with a new part, no charge. A few weeks ago, it happened again. PC Richards says that replacement parts are only under warranty for 90 days, so now the repair is on me. I could pay or repair it myself or pay PC Richards to do it. Thank goodness I am handy, but I still have to pay for the part. Now I am reading that the MDB7749 series has a history of this problem. When is Maytag going to own up and issue free repairs? I certainly will never buy Maytag again, as both the range and the refrigerator also have common problems. Luckily, I paid for the 10-year service agreement on those appliances.

Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer - We are usually review writers. I just felt it was our duty to help others save their hard-earned dollars and not purchase this product. We have owned this expensive and highly researched set for a bit over 2 years. We have had to have repairmen out a half dozen times for dryer repairs. The washer was purchased with the largest tub because I wanted to be able to wash a full load of sheets or a blanket. NOT!!! It gets off balanced, twists every single item (as in blue jeans, towels, soft t-shirts, etc...any weight or size) into a huge mess and has actually ruined some of my clothing. The dryer gives me error messages all the time. I am beyond words with my disappointment. We saved a long time for this set and now are absolutely stuck for a long time before we can replace. You know Maytag my message to you is that hard-working people used to trust your company name. I have been married 43 years and we keep our purchases for many years. I have never in all these years been so disappointed in the huge purchase we made thinking it was a lifetime investment. Now I am doing everything I can to save this year so maybe can replace it down the road as soon as we can. I am telling you people reading this... DO NOT BUY THIS SET. IT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

Disappointing that a Maytag would be a problem machine. Constantly out of balance when spinning and mediocre cleaning. Now it is spitting oil underneath. Am on my way to buy new machine with agitator.

Problem with the front panel are the dishwasher has been replaced 2 times in 3 months. Was told by the tech repair person is not a well made product. He would replace it if he could had a warranty and added a new warranty for 1 year and is up again and of course have to do it. Was told if it happens again they most likely replace with a new unit. Hopefully. Not happy.

Purchased a Maytag MSD2553WEW00 refrigerator on 2/27/2011 from Home Depot. Began using it in July 2012 upon completion of home construction. In February 2014, after less than two years of service, the refrigerator was running but no longer cooling. After the expense of several part replacements and a service call, it was determined that the compressor had failed. Unlike most manufacturers, Maytag did not warrant the compressor and closed system beyond 12 months. The refrigerator looks like new but the cost of repair is prohibitive relative to purchasing another new refrigerator. Maytag was contacted but was not helpful.

I bought my Maytag Refrigerator about 7 years ago and the night mares have not stopped. The ice maker has broken down so many times, I forgot to count. The drip from the ice maker lands on the floor of the freezer and drips out to the floor. The cold part of refrigerator end up freezing the fruits and veggie and milk.

Purchased a Maytag Electric Range on Jan/9/2016 and delivered Jan 12/2016. To start the Aqua Steam clean is for the birds. Does not clean worth a darn. Model MER8600DH cost $823.33 and I thought this unit was awesome until December 2018. The oven makes loud bangs and it’s not metal contracting or whatever. I stopped using my oven. Tonight my top burner started snapping like an arc or short. Yup that’s it for me. I was thinking of buying a Maytag Gas Range as I was brought up on gas and I have a plumber coming this weekend to plumb for Natural Gas but after reading all the negativity on the gas ranges as well I absolutely will not be buying a Maytag now or ever! Should have read reviews. Ill never buy another Maytag. This stove has been bad almost from start. Stove has burned marks from using broil. Repairman told me not to use broil anymore. One of eyes has been worked on 2 times; the knob does not work correctly; when you turn off, it goes past the off and keeps on going to the left. It is very hard to clean surface. I have had a few years. Company paid for one repair. They should have replaced stove from beginning. Not safe.

Hello, My recently purchased dishwasher has leaked water within less than half an hour of the fifth time to be used and showed error: F8E4, dishwasher model and SN are: Model: MDB4949SKZ. Serial # : FA3003347. Registered: 09/11/2021, Ive been calling Home Depot who in turn asked the installer to check the connection, and the latter advised and reported its a manufacturer issue. And calling Maytag for several times but no response or action. On-line service scheduling of Maytag is not working!!! And the live chat is not helping, as well. Now my dishwasher is not working since more than two weeks, knowing that it has been installed only a month ago.

I purchase a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot on 12/31/11. Based on the their commercials, I thought they were dependable. I did purchase an extended warranty, as I always do with any new appliance. After 2 years, the dishwasher stop working. I contact Home Depot and the extended warranty and was told to contact the manufacturer. Maytag blamed the extended warranty for the problem. I purchased the Bravos Washer and Dryer from an elderly couple who didnt have it more than 6 months. About a year went by and the washer started making a noise when the water extracted and finally flooded my laundry room. I found that a penny had gotten into the plastic housing that extracts the water. This has happened on 2 different occasions. I have replaced the extraction unit 2 times and it now cracked again. Then I started getting F1 error codes and having to restart as much as 6 times so it would start the cycle. This washer has been a royal pain. It is frustrating when you think you are getting a quality product and have nothing but problems. I previously had a Kenmore washer and dryer that lasted me 15 years and was still functioning when we sold the set after buying the Maytag Monster. We only ever replaced the heating element in the dryer once. That was it. I will not consider a Maytag again and possibly not another HE at all. Glad I did not buy them new!

I purchased my Bravos washer and dryer in Sept. 2010. What a mistake! The dryer is okay but the washer is a nightmare! The repairman and I are on a first name basis. The last time he was here, he showed me how to recalibrate my washing machine. It stops working in the wash cycle, fills with water and then sits there. I have to manually drain it and start over. Then it gets confused and fills with water when it is supposed to be spinning and draining (consequently draining my well). I shouldnt have to recalibrate anything in life, much less, a brand new washing machine.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer 18 months ago. While taking clothes out of my washer, I noticed that the plastic collar above the washtub was shredding around the edges. I called the manufacturer about it. Because it was more than 12 months old, they refused to do anything about it. I feel that shouldnt happen so soon after purchase. Im a single person and dont do that much laundry. The piece should be made of something more durable. I will never buy another Maytag product. Is there anything further I can do to pursue this?

I bought a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749SBW2 in 2013. It worked great for 2 years. In 2015, the control panel malfunctioned. All the lights on the control panel would light up and the dishwasher wouldnt start. I called Maytag. They sent out a service tech. He replaced the control panel. I started having the same problems two years later, 2017. I called Maytag today, 9/11/17, to see if they had recalled this dishwasher. No, it hasnt been recalled. They offered to sell me a extended warranty for $400+, that would pay for the service call and parts or, I could find another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid dishwasher and depending on the model, I could get a 25-45% discount on a new one. I asked why they havent recalled this model, due to the problems that so many people are having. They dont know. Im writing this review to let those of you who have bought this dishwasher know, that the product is faulty.

The dishwasher is only one and a half years old and like many others are having trouble with the control panel. The model is MDB89495AWO which cost nearly $800. The dishwasher does not shutdown after an operating cycle. On contacting Maytag with the symptoms they advised that they have never heard of a similar problem. On reading the comments/experience of other Maytag owners I am undecided whether to scrap this unit and buy another make!

Bought a Maytag MVWX655DW top loader clothes washer from Best Buy on 7-7-2020 it was delivered as promised on Friday 7-10-2020. The people who delivered it were very professional and nice. They did a great job installing it. My wife went to use it for the first time Saturday morning 7-11-2020. Luckily this washer had a see through door. We could not believe our eyes, it never put enough water in the tub to cover the clothes. So as we watched the clothes on top never participated in the wash, they just moved around. When it went to spin cycle it was making a loud clicking sound as it was shaking. So we tried different settings, after 3 loads I called BB and said I want to return it. This machine has been mislabeled, its not a clothes washer, its a noise maker at best. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. IT DOESNT WASH CLOTHES.

This machine was purchased two years ago at the Home Depot. I wanted a top loader that was not digital and without a lot of choices. It has been nothing but a headache with every wash. I had a Maytag serviceman come out immediately and he said nothing was wrong. Every wash load I do, has problems. The dark loads are always full of white spots and the towels are torn up. Just bought some new towels and after the first wash, they were ruined. I will never ever buy a Maytag machine. These new He machines are ridiculous! I have a new Centennial Maytag dryer. What a horrible sound it makes when the time is up!!! I had another Maytag dryer for 19 years and it did not sound as obnoxious as this new one. HELP!! I can tell some man invented it.

Our less than five yr old washer finally died. It had been making awful sounds. Started in only very small loads but then started in bigger loads too. It finally stopped altogether. Model number MVWC400XW4. I would NOT recommend this washer.

I also bought a Maytag refrigerator in 2013. Right after the warranty expired it was forming ice on the bottom and back of the freezer and was not making ice. I called Maytag and they told me they have no complaints on this type of refrigerator. It was also always making a lot of noise. Maytag was supposed to be the quiet one. I will never buy another Maytag product and I will do anything to make sure nobody else does either.

Our washer stinks. We have done all the things suggested by Maytag, and it still stinks. Maytag suggested having it serviced by A&E, but I see on the Internet that they are probably not the best choice (very bad reviews). We called our local Maytag dealer, and they said that there is no fix available. They just stink. We will buy a new washer and will never buy anything Maytag again. Let me make it simple for you, DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL product. Maytag/Whirlpool believes its products should work for 1 year and then become obsolete, at least this is what the Maytag/Whirlpool customer service line told me. I purchased a MVWB950YW (Bravos XL) top loader on September 4th, 2012 for $948.00 plus $99.00 for an extended warranty. The washer worked marginally well when it was brand new. June 2014, the washer in spin mode started to sound like a freight train was about to run through my house. When I called for service the service company immediately signaled it was a bad bearing and offered me $500 to put towards a new or refurbished Maytag!!! They claimed if they were to repair the machine it would VOID the extended service contract?? I wanted the washer fixed, I did not want to spend more money to buy a new machine. I continued to use the machine as is, with the incredibly loud noise. June 2015, the same machine starts to leak water and is even louder. Again the company in charge of the service contract offers money for me to put towards a new or refurbished machine. Net is, Maytag/Whirlpool engineers its products based on its warranty - 1 year. Anything after that they view as an opportunity to steal more money from you and I the consumer. Do yourself a favor and NEVER purchase a Maytag/Whirlpool product. I would like to think American products are superior to its foreign counterparts, however Maytag/Whirlpool is not in this league. In my opinion, Maytag/Whirlpool has lost the privilege to call itself American and should no longer be allowed to do business in this country.

Recently purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer from our local Home Depot June 2020. The appliances were finally delivered in August. When both appliances were installed, the installers made sure the washer was working properly and there were no leaks. They did the same for the dryer to make sure it was working properly. When the dryer was turned on however, the motor blew up and there was smoke coming from the dryer! I am now sorry I purchased Maytag. I had narrowed my choice between purchasing Samsung or Maytag. Im now thinking I should have gone with Samsung. Im supposed to receive another dryer today. The washer works, however its very, very loud. For the amount of money I paid, I hope these last for a while.

I have done absolutely nothing to this dryer except keep the lint screen clean. Have had it for 15 years. Keeps on tickin. It is used daily. Sometimes 3-4 times a day. The outside looks rough. But who cares. I bought a new lg washer with great looks and had it just a year and 2 weeks. Had to spend another $200 on it. Still doesnt work right. Im Maytag all the way!!! It is a simple dryer. But it is a workhorse. It was a gift from my mother and have so much appreciated it. It has been an amazing piece of equipment. From now on I will only look for the maytag brand for whatever appliance I purchase.

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher less than a year ago and are very disappointed with the poorly designed quality of this product. We had a Maytag repairman look at our dishwasher and he told us that; the dishwasher cleans with enzymes in the dishwasher not water pressure, and we need to make sure the water in the kitchen faucet need to be hot before starting the dishwasher, we also need detergent, rinse aid, and citric acid added to each load. Adding all these products to the dishwasher does not fix a poorly designed product. This product does not clean the dishes, even with rinse aid the glasses come out cloudy. The dishwasher has a power blast button, it does not clean the dishes any better than the regular setting and it runs for four hours. We will never buy another Maytag product.

Within the first 2 years, the dryer stopped heating. After a $300, a few parts and a few attempts to repair the dryer worked again. The sensor still kept saying check the vent and we gave up and removed the outside vent cover. Works great now. The washer worked great until year 4 when it began to sound like a helicopter. It got so bad that it literally hurt my ears and could be heard outside. It also leaked. Called repairman and they couldnt even remove the drum because it had rusted solid. After a total of 4 years we are replacing the set. Do not WASTE your money!

On my 3rd circuit board for a MDB7749SBMO MODEL dish washer. The people at Maytag are people that wont even talk to you about it. How many people have to complain before theres a recall on a faulty ribbon cable.

I bought my Bravos washer (Maytag Bravos Model # MVWX700XL2) back in 2013. Worst mistake ever, First off the clothes never came out clean, regardless of how diligent I was following the directions on how to use this particular type of machine. Secondly, it started going off balance for every load if I put more than 4 pieces of clothing in. 2 months after having it recently repaired AGAIN for not spinning and going off balance, it is doing it again. It is only 4 years old! I bought it for the Maytag reputation, but now I am doubting that reliability.

Purchased a Maytag Bravos washer in 2009. Was told it was water efficient and electric efficient also. Spin cycle twisted my clothes in a knot and left white blotchy doors on my dark clothes, had to rewash my clothes again!!! Then started making a horrendous noise that could be heard from one end of the house to the other, like it was going to explode at any given time. Called technician, paid $75 and said it was bearings and that it would probably did the same noise again even with fixing it, that Id be wasting my money!! Worth getting rid of it!! I just hate it!! I have Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7609AWB2. I purchased it from Sears on 5.30.10. It was installed 3 weeks later. From June 2010 through November 2011, the dishwasher has stopped working 3 times, every 6 months, requiring a service call to fix the electrical /circuit board problems. The aggravation of owning a poorly built machine and inconvenience of waiting for Sears to send a repair person has sealed our decision to stop doing business with Sears and Maytag.

An average refrigerator/freezer at best. I would not recommend it unless you also buy a service agreement to fix things that go wrong with it. Ice maker went out.

Our bottom freezer began building up ice. We cleared the ice and unclogged the drain gasket as per the many instructions that we found online. Researching this problem, I discovered very quickly that this is due to a faulty design of the drain grommet. A new part has been substituted by Maytag. I called Maytag customer service and they refused to supply the replacement at no cost to me and claimed there is no quality issue. This is not about the $20 for the part. It is a leading consumer brand disregarding customer satisfaction. This is also bad business. They will sacrifice their reputation for a $20 part on a $1,000+ purchase. They need to be put on notice that they cannot get away with this in the age of the web where there is total transparency.

I own an iron in case a guest needs to use it but I seriously havent ironed in over 20 years. I moved into a home in November and the appliances stayed with the home. I am systematically destroying my clothes that I always washed and dried but NEVER IRONED. They come out of the Maytag washer already wrinkled. I try to unwrinkle them in the dryer. I took 2 items to the dry cleaners to see if they could steam them but no results yet. What gives Maytag???

We purchased a new Maytag Bravos washer and dryer. The washing machine senses the weight of the clothing and determines how much water to use. The machine does not put enough water in to completely immerse the clothes, therefore after the load has washed, the clothes come out of the washing machine partially dry. I have to wash the clothes a second time therefore using detergent twice, water twice, electricity twice and my time twice to wash each load. After a while the machine stopped washing altogether. I would load the laundry, add the soap, close the machine and start the machine. It would begin to put water on the clothes and sense the weight of the clothing and it would get stuck there. I would hear a buzzing sound and the clothes have been stuck on this same cycle for over 15 minutes and it would not wash the clothes. I tried starting the machine again, and it would drain the machine. Id have to add more soap, use more water, use more electricity and use my time again to try and wash the same load. They sent out a repair company who looked at the machine, did whatever they did (and left a bunch of water on the floor behind the dryer and didnt have the decency to tell me so that I could clean it up). They said they had to order parts and they would come back. They called me several hours later and said they had the parts in their warehouse and they could repair the machine.After a while, they said they were finished and that the machine was repaired. I tried to wash a load after they left and... the original issues were still there. I called the repair company and told them what happened. I typically do laundry once a week, so out of fairness to the technicians, I told the lady that I didnt have any more dirty laundry and that I wanted to try the machine again when I had dirty laundry the next week. I called the next week and Maytag said that I had to pay for the technicians to come out, even though they never repaired the washing machine.After complaints they offered me a $75 credit towards the repair company which I refused to accept. Then they told me I could buy another Maytag machine and they would give me a discount. So basically, I would get something like $76 off of a $600 machine. Really? And then the idiot had the nerve to tell me that it was customary for the clothes to come out partially dry. So in other words, he was telling me that these machines were designed with flaws to partially wash clothes so that consumers would have dirty clothes. I asked for a replacement machine of equal value and they told me that Maytag does NOT replace machines. They sell this crap, knowing that it is no good and they arent willing to replace it! I got someone else on the phone and he said that I will not have to pay for the technicians coming out a second time to attempt to fix the machine. I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

Like many of the other complaints, control panel lights up but dishwasher will not start. It has had minimal use and is less than two years old. For a product purchased for around $800, it should have lasted far longer. Repairs will cost close to the cost of replacing entire unit. Do not buy Maytag. Their reputation is ruined in my eyes.

I just saw that there had been a class action lawsuit settled in 2005 for the Maytag Neptune front load washer and I was never notified as an owner! I have this crummy product and have been living with it for more than 10 years! I just scheduled a repairman to replace the moldy gasket (for the second time) and the noisy pump, and a latch that has to be slammed for a sum of $438. What a crock. I was told this was a top of the line model when I purchased it for $999. Ive never had such a piece of junk before in my life. I run loads of bleach weekly to control the mildew.

I bought a Maytag front load washing machine. We paid $1,100 for this machine. About a month ago, it was making a loud noise. I called them and they said were going to come out and fix it. However, our washing machine did not have a serial number. It had the model number/purchase date, etc, but no serial number. Our drier had it, but not our washing machine. All Appliances stated they could not help us until we had a serial number. We spent around 3 hours on the phone with Maytag, trying to get a serial number. Melinda informed us that we were out of luck, and that there was nothing they could do for us. She stated to call Nebraska Furniture Mart, to get the serial number. We did. NFM does not keep serial numbers. They keep model numbers, and purchase dates, but not the serial number. I called Maytag back, and spoke with Arthur. Within 10 minutes, he gave me a serial number to use. Interesting. In the meantime, I have been without a washing machine for 2 days. I have a load of wash in the machine, because now the wash machine has gotten so bad it is shorting the breaker, and not allowing electricity to the machine. This caused the front door to lock and shut down. Inside the washing machine is a load of clothes. All Appliances now has the serial number to order the parts. The parts were supposed to be here yesterday, Jan. 9th. Surprise, they are on back order until Jan. 13th. I called Maytag to see what they could do regarding me without a washing machine for over 5 days, which could turn into 2 weeks. They simply replied that it takes time to order parts, and there is nothing they can do and apologized. I asked what about me having to go to a laundromat and sit for hours, doing laundry. What about sending me out a loaner, to do laundry until you can get the parts. They again replied; there is nothing they can do.I also stated I spent $1,100 for this front load top of the line, Maytag washing machine, because of its name, and supposedly good quality. They again said there was nothing they could do. They did tell me that the washing tub, the part that we needed, was on back order until January 28th. This puts me at about a month without a washing machine. They stated they would try and locate the part, and have it sent out to my house, not the appliance company that is supposed to fix it, but my house, so that once I did receive it, I could call All Appliances, and set up the time/fixing of the machine. This has been pure hell! Maytag is a joke. I paid a good price for a supposedly good company/machine. They are doing nothing to expedite the parts. They are doing nothing to back their products. They are not even offering compensation for my inconvenience of having to go to a laundromat, or being without a washing machine for over a week, and potentially up to a month.I have been without a washing machine for over a week. I have had a load of laundry locked in the washing machine. I have had to drive to a laundromat to do laundry, which includes time and mileage. I have been informed that the parts are on back order, and now could be up to a month without a washing machine. Maytag is not offering any compensation, no loaner machine, no replacement. Instead, they are just saying, sorry, you have to wait for the parts. I would really like the VPs. and Presidents of Maytag to go without a washing machine for a week, or their families to go without a washing machine for a week, possibly a month, and see what they have to say about that company.

Bought a new Maytag dishwasher in July 2013. In December it quit working and the problem was the control panel. The service tech knew automatically what the problem was when he arrived. It is now May 2014 and the control panel has gone out again. Contacted Maytag and was told they will extend the warranty another six months from the original warranty. After reading that this has been offered to others with mixed results I have my doubts on whether it will be honored. This is our last Maytag appliance.

We purchased a Maytag dryer in Dec 2012 and several days ago the heating unit failed (mid April 2014). I did a quick search on this site and a few others where I saw numerous such issues with Maytag dryers. I realized that I was 4 months beyond the warranty period but took a shot at calling their customer service line to voice my displeasure only to get the company line that they could do nothing. My wife and I have been married 27 years this year and this was the 4th dryer we have purchased (1st and last Maytag) which obviously did not last like the other brands or like we expected. I purchased Maytag Bravos MVWX500XWO top loading high efficiency low water washer and it is a piece of junk. All my clothes came out horribly wrinkled and ruined a white jacket when I used the color safe bleach dispenser. I purchased the machine from Sears, where I purchased the extended warranty. I had an A&E technician out and he explained that the new technology of machines are expecting all clothes to be dried in the dryer. Okay, but what do you do with clothes that say hang dry and they come out so wrinkled and twisted that even an iron cant get the wrinkles out? Another suggestion from the technician, put the hang-dry articles in the fluff cycle of the dryer. Well, thats a big nugatory since they are supposed to hang dry them. Supposedly, this machine is all about energy efficiency but isnt it a contradiction when you are using more energy with running a dryer? Someone suggested to me that perhaps there wasnt enough water being dispensed during the spin cycle resulting in horribly wrinkled clothes. Either way, I am on my last nerve with this machine. I always thought that Maytag was an elite company. Well, how wrong I was! Their customer service is pretty much not customer-oriented. Its all about the almighty dollar. After speaking to a supervisor, she explained to me that I should contact Sears with my complaint that Maytag had no recourse. Well honey, Sears did not make the atrocious machine. They are just the so-called messengers. I have unfortunately found that once Maytag sells their horrendous product, they dont even stand by it. Now isnt that typical of companies nowadays and sadly, lacking with this company? Pride in their workmanship! And again, its all about the almighty dollar and who gives a ** about customer satisfaction? Maybe thats why they dont have the Maytag repairman. We loved the Maytag dishwasher when we first bought it. After about 5 years it started leaking. Had rubber gasket replace, only held up 2 years. This was the only problem.

Had this model MDB7749SBM1 for almost 3 years and paid over $700 for it. Thought I was purchasing a good machines. The last few months the control panel pops out and away from the front door panel. Do get it back. You have to unscrew the panel from the door. Inside is all plastic and broken. How can it be broken when it is an area never touched. Every time you open the door after a wash it pops out again. To get it repaired will cost too much. It is a badly designed unit which should have a latch instead of just pulling out.I am so disappointed and will think twice before buying Maytag. I have never had luck with any Maytag dishwasher lasting. At this point I dont know whether to just buy another brand or glue it. We are not keeping our home so I dont want to invest money. Awful machine and I see it is discontinued so there are a lot of complaints. Thanks for sticking us Maytag.

After 18 months of use Our Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) has the same control panel problem as a lot of other user complaints. I wish I too had read the consumer reviews before my purchase. We will never buy another Whirlpool product!!

I had a brand new Maytag refrigerator freezer delivered to my home. Not three days later, the freezer compartment is frosting over on the back wall, while the refrigerator fails to keep my drinks cooler cold like I demand. Ive heard of planned obsolescence, but this is ridiculous!

My Maytag washer MVWB400VQ was purchased four years ago and was used by two people. It started making a sound like an airplane taking off and is very loud. We called a service technician who said the outer tub was gone. I called Maytag to see if there was a recall or warranty of some kind. At that point I was told they do have a warranty but could not sell it to me because I had already had someone diagnose the issue. I paid $800 for the machine and the difference between the repair and the warranty was $40, so I thought it would be smarter to have some type of coverage if anything else went wrong. Nope they will not give you the coverage. The moral of the story is they really do not want to provide customer service unless you are unaware of the actual repairs needed so they can get more $$ from you.

If I can rate the AquaLift Technology oven cleaning system that my Maytag oven has as a “Zero”, I would. This technology only removes some of the spills on the bottom of the oven. It does not clean the sides or top of the oven. I’m back to the olden days of using a lot of elbow grease to remove splatters and spills. They say you cannot use any cleaners in the oven either. At least with the old ovens you can spray an oven cleaner and wipe it clean. This product has taken us back before there were spray oven cleaners!

Belt broke in inside under tub after 13 months $150. Now another year and I am getting an error message F51 and it stops washing. Im done. Old Maytag lasted 14 years. This is done in 2. Im not paying any more to have it fixed for whatever F51 is. Im cutting my losses now. Hate this machine the way it washes anyway. Always feel like its gonna take off for Mars to join Matt Damon. HA. I try to laugh to stop being mad. Dont buy these. It gets no stars. And after reading other reviews, it deserves none. Shame on this company! Ugh, its making me put a star rating. But I say none.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher in August, 2014, and already the touchpad is malfunctioning and we cant start the dishwasher! I am very disgruntled and frustrated by this! I should have kept the old Kitchen Aid dishwasher that we bought in 1995! At least it never malfunctioned!

I love the way it can really handle large loads. The dryer is the best though. It actually dries your load without you having to turn it on more. There are many different choices that handle drying. So, no more to the bone drying.

My Maytag refrigerator, model number mff2557heb, serial number 10375839gv, was purchased in 5/2005. Two weeks ago, this refrigerator stopped working. I called the Maytag technician and then right away came to my house and find out it is the compressor that needs to be replaced. He told me to search if it is under warranty. I searched in the internet Maytag compressor warranty and I found it and then called the Maytag representative. I told them I have found in their website that compressor of this Maytag is covered for 10 years but labor is not included. Then they asked me to fax it. I faxed the copy on 6/20 and they responded on 6/22. He said they received the copy and he said, Yes, it is covered for 10 years but you will shoulder the labor. So to make the story short, this Maytag representative scheduled Friday, 6/29 for the Maytag technician to fix my refrigerator. My husband did not go to work yesterday, 6/29, Friday, so he will be home for this Maytag tech. Maytag tech came at about 2pm yesterday and when he confirmed that it is the compressor that is the problem, he asked for the warranty paper. And when my husband present the proof, the copy of their warranty coverage that came from the Maytag website, he refused to work with my refrigerator because he said the one in the internet is not valid. It is really upsetting because I faxed the copy of it to them on 6/20/12 and they honored it. Thats why they arranged the technician to come to my house and then my husband did not work for them to work with our refrigerator and then asking me $79 for just saying that it is not covered by the warranty. I even gave them the model number and the serial number of the refrigerator so they can verify if it is covered. He said yes 10 years warranty on the compressor. In fact, two employees that I have spoken to both agreed that it is 10 years coverage except for the supervisor named Rachel. Her employees agreed to 10 years based on the paper that I have faxed them and it came from their website and they dont want to honor it after they sent the technician to my house. Thank you so much for your time and for reading about my grievances against Maytag employees.

Purchased our Maytag Centennial Washer Model MVWC400XW4 2 years and 5 months ago; guess we are luckier than most; it has now failed in the spin cycle, high pitch, high volume whine, sounds like it is about to explode. Needless to say is out of warranty; and too expensive on our limited income to have a technician repair. I will hope to make the repairs myself; nothing to lose at this point; and from reading the countless negative reviews about this product; should be as many countless repair suggestions on YouTube. Obviously if Maytag would stand behind/up for their product as they claim they do; I and many others would not have these issues. My wife and I for sure will never buy another Maytag product until Maytag resolves the issue, which if my calculations are correct will be never. My advice is simple, do not buy Maytag products.

First failed after 16 months. Second twice in 15 months. They are lucky to last 16-24 months. Stupid for a microwave that normally last 5 plus years for every other brand I ever bought.

Purchased a Maytag MDB4949SHZ dishwasher new from Home Depot in January 2018 as part of an extensive home remodel and addition. Did not move back in permanently until late June 2019, so the unit was not used at all until then. It quit working in January 2021 and our local (Sandpoint, ID) appliance repairman diagnosed a bad motor and pump assembly (the main functional component of the dishwasher). The unit was marketed as having a 10 year warranty and based on past experience with older Maytag appliances we purchased it. The fine print reveals that the 10 year warranty applies only to components that are unlikely to ever wear out or fail; all the rest are covered by a one year warranty. Part cost is over $200 and does not include installation. Maytag customer service (45+ minute hold to speak to a live human) of no help. No way are we throwing good money after bad to fix it. Lesson learned; just purchased a Bosch.

I will never buy a Maytag dishwasher again. I purchased it on 05/05/07 for $500.00. It’s quiet series 300 MDB6601AWQ. After 3 years of use, the control panel is completely dead. It was only working on one setting for the last year.

I have only had this Maytag dishwasher for 2 years. My control panel has gone crazy! The child lock is blinking and I never touched it. I have tried to clear it by touching the heated dry button for 3 seconds, every once in a while it will clear. It eventually will start blinking again on child lock. I did research and have found out that Im not the only one that is having this problem. I now have to get it fixed.

Bought a Maytag 4000 series washer and dryer combo for about 2100 dollars in October 2011. Had a professional look at it today since the clothes stayed wet after the spin cycle. Told us it would cost 1000 dollars to repair the washing machine. So a total write-off in barely four years. I am very disappointed.
