I purchased a Maytag dishwasher (model MDB7609AWW1) from Sears on 09/11/2009. Its control panel failed twice in 3 years. In 02/2011, after just 17 months, the dishwasher wouldnt work. Nothing happened when I pressed the start button. I paid $294.39 ($129 for a new control panel plus labor) to have it fixed. Now, 17 months after the control panel was replaced, it has again crapped out with the same problem. I see by all the complaints here that this is a common problem. I wish I had read all these complaints before I had the control panel replaced the first time. Maytag, shame on you! Never again! I called Maytag and Sears, and as you would expect, they said, Sorry, its past the warranty period. When I buy my next dishwasher, it will not be a Maytag and it will not be from Sears.

We moved into our first house just over two years ago and decided we needed to get a new refrigerator. We did a ton of research online, reading reviews, etc. We found a few not so great complaints regarding Maytag; however, we took our chances. (Note that we live in a house built in the 40s, so the fridge space is small and we needed a fridge size that is smaller than normal. We didnt have many options.) Well, a little less than 12 months later (yes, luckily right before the warranty expired) our ice dispenser stopped working properly. The mini-ice door would not close properly, resulting in a lot of frost in where the ice door was located. (There was so much we couldnt open the freezer door. It would get stuck.) So, we called out the repair guy and he said he had never seen this issue before and basically had to replace the whole flap and parts. Sweet. It was fixed and cost was covered! Well, about 5 months later, it happened again! Ah, they got it fixed yet again. Well, another six months later and after the warranty expired (lucky us), the fridge completely stopped cooling. (And it just happened to be Halloween, not a great day for a house issue.) So, we had to remove all our perishable food and place it in a cooler (which works hundred times better than Maytag products), and move all frozen food to a family members house 15 minutes away (luckily!). We were also super lucky we found a repair company that could come out at 5pm the next day, which happened to be a Friday! Awesome company (Conners Repair in Metro-Detroit). He concluded the defrost board was broken, meaning it was freezing and creating frost and then not defrosting, clogs the vents and not allowing circulation to occur. He was shocked when he found out we only had this fridge for 2 years and said this is something that normally happens in 20-year old fridges. I then decided to call Maytag and nicely requested a refund for the issue. I was told no due to the warranty expiring and also because we didnt use a Maytag repair company. I didnt want to wait a week as I thought this was something that needed immediate attention. I also am not sure why it matters who you get to fix your fridge. I have an invoice for proof of the issue and the repairman even said hed call to verify the issue. I don’t understand why I have to pay for something that was not properly produced, and not to mention the time out of my schedule to deal with Maytags issues. I now know not to buy any Maytag products due to the lack quality. I guess I learned the hard way.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator. Big big mistake. It bangs, makes all kinds of noises. The bottom freezer has ice that builds up once in a while, has to be unloaded and thawed out. We have had several service calls and they do not know whats wrong. Trouble started about a month out of warranty. Called Maytag and they would not do anything. WE are very disappointed in Maytag. We spent more money to get a good product and ended up with junk. We are getting rid of it and buying one that is made by a company that knows what they are doing.

I purchased my oven in May of 2012. Ive tried numerous times to use the clean cycle. There is absolutely no way it works. I contacted Maytag on 1/13/14 and their response was to explain the concept of AquaLift Technology as if I didnt already know that. They said I should use the plastic spatula (as if I had not already done that). They urged me to email whenever the need arises (as if that will do any good, they obviously acted like there was nothing wrong with their AquaLift technology). Someone should hold them accountable for their faulty product. Maytag is now a dirty word in this consumers vocabulary, and no amount of scraping ...with a plastic spatula will clean up the mess they sold me. I hope it breaks so I can go buy a product from a company where self-clean does not mean I am scrubbing (with no success) and running a clean cycle numerous times in an afternoon to try and get a spillover cleaned up.

I have a 26 cu. ft. side by side Model MZD2665HES, like most folks in my neighborhood (spec homes). The icemaker died and service was called. They looked at solenoid, and replaced the ice maker assembly as a wag that it was the problem.. still no ice, but the water was still able to be called. I replaced filter- still water only, no ice. Little did we know it was the filler tube blocked with ice, and the service man didnt once suggest turning off the water service. SO, every time water was called to either make ice or to fill a cup with, it put intense pressure on the point of assembly where the water line comes into the fridge (water inlet tube). A pin hole developed in the little plastic bit (water inlet tube plate) and every time the water was called to ice, guess what happened - it shot right out the back on drywall.Almost $20,000 dollars worth of damage to wood floor (warped), drywall (jello), and flooring (carpet) ensued. Mold was all over and had to be contained and treated for days to be fixed. Im still duking it out with service repairman and insurance companies. My advise: If you have this fridge or anything like it and the ice maker stops working, IMMEDIATELY shut down the water supply, turn the fridge off and check the filler tube in the back for ice blockage. Probably a good idea to pull the fridge forward once in a while and check the back for water also.

Purchased a Maytag fridge April of 2012. Within a few months the freezer was not keeping the food cold enough. I had a lot of food loss. I called Home Depot and they refused to give me a new fridge. They said to call the Mfg. That I did and all they did was send out a service man. This has been fixed 5 times for the same thing. The problem now is that the Extended warranty company refuse to repair it now that they know that it was a pre-existing condition that should have been taken care of under the Mfg. warranty. I paid 180.00 for an extended warranty that now is worthless. I just threw out roughly 200.00 worth of food. Now my lettuce is frozen, eggs are frozen. My husband is disabled and money is not plentiful. I dont know where to turn. Frustrated.

Purchased this Calypso machine as a second machine for my ranch to handle really dirty clothes. Purchased from Sears Outlet as a refurb machine would be fine for the purpose. Machine was alleged to work by Sears. Paid several hundred for the machine, brought it home, and voila it does not work. New hoses, ran all the checks, and will not fill. Called Sears and, despite the statements of the manager, was told that I have to have a 3 day old machine repaired and not replaced. This POS did not even work out of the box. Years ago I had a Calypso which is now a flower pot. Junk, Junk, Junk. NEVER buy anything from Maytag or Whirlpool.

This a 28-month-old bottom freezer fridge purchased from Home Depot. At about 26 months, the freezer started to leak water as ice was completely covering the bottom of the freezer floor and the excess water would then run out once the door was opened. I managed to get the ice out with slim bladed putty knife and did this about every 10 days. Contact with Maytag affirmed that I had no warranty available as it only comes with a 1-year, except for the compressor. Every effort was made to sell me an extended 1-year warranty for $330, and then a technician would be sent to fix the problem. I asked if the compressor had failed, would I be discounted as it is warranted and the answer was no, the fee was still $330. I had great difficulty in explaining why I would purchase a warranty for an item that is already warranted to no avail.I decided to go with their 2nd option of having a local appliance tech to solve the problem at my expense which I did for a final cost of $130. Technician came and immediately knew the problem and removed a little black rubber stopper valve that is supposed to let water pass but gets clogged and the water backs up into the freezer. It took him all of a half hour to fix everything, $85 for the visit and $45 for time in place, $0 for parts. He stated that this is a continuing problem that he has seen many times. Moral: Dont buy any Maytag products as the Maytag repairman who had nothing to do has died.

I purchased my Bravos washer and dryer in Sept. 2010. What a mistake! The dryer is okay but the washer is a nightmare! The repairman and I are on a first name basis. The last time he was here, he showed me how to recalibrate my washing machine. It stops working in the wash cycle, fills with water and then sits there. I have to manually drain it and start over. Then it gets confused and fills with water when it is supposed to be spinning and draining (consequently draining my well). I shouldnt have to recalibrate anything in life, much less, a brand new washing machine.

Buyer Beware!! Purchased my Maytag over the range microwave in May of 2014. It has a manufacture date of Feb. 2014, and it is now Sept. 2014. It is a very nice looking unit but a bit oversized. My handyman that installed it had to raise my cabinets above my stove two inches to avoid it being too close to the range. The motor is pretty loud and It often times does not heat evenly. The light on the unit that shines down on the range is not much better than the power of a night light which is a bit disappointing considering it looks like a higher end unit, and down to the reason I am writing this review today is that for the first time I went to change the bulb. I unscrewed the the light cover which is placed awkwardly toward the very very back of the unit, only to find that when I went to twist out the burnt out bulb (that has been in there since I purchased the unit) that the bulb broke off after hearing what sounded like the break of a seal of glue, and the bottom aluminum piece of the bulb is stuck in the bulb socket. I found that the bulb is placed in an awkward place behind the light cover. Instead of the bulb facing to the left or the right or to the front of the unit it is facing toward the back which is making the bulb socket impossible to see, which means that in order to screw in the bulb you are screwing it in from an angle that you cannot see unless you climb on the range and lay on your back, or get a mirror to help see where you are screwing in the bulb. This is just a very awkward and unpractical design coming from such a well known company with such a common and ordinary product. Now I am sitting here writing this review and I am trying to figure out how I can remove that little piece of aluminum stuck in the light bulb socket and since it is not facing to the left or right and facing toward the back, it leaves me about less than 1/2 space to work with using my hand or a tool to remove that piece, or I can just leave my broken bulb piece in there and screw the cover back on until I call service for Maytag. I believe it is still under warranty but from others experience that I have read about I am not feeling confident I will receive great service or a desirable outcome. Wish me the best!! We bought a Maytag Bravo washer and after less than 6 months of use, it stopped working with an F51 or 53 error (cant remember which because its been a month now). After looking online, it seems that almost everyone who buys this gets this error and has to have a part replaced! And Whirlpool hasnt recalled the faulty part even though everything Ive read says it should be a recall.Its now taken over a month to get a repair person in to fix it. From the time we called Maytag, to the referral to the service person, to the service appointment, to waiting over 2 weeks for the part to come in, its been over a month with no washer. This is unacceptable Maytag! The repair company is finally showing up tomorrow only after 3 left messages from us.Either build a better washer or stock your replacement parts with the local repair companies and you should be reimbursing your customers whove spent a lot of money at the laundromat after spending between $700 and $900 on your washing machines.

I know that Maytag wants to conserve water by adding as little as possible... But when the damn machine puts hole in 5+ shirts Im not a happy homemaker!!! At first I thought it was the dryer so I had a repair come out and explain Im not the first person that complained of this issue. Its too late for me but Maytag needs to be aware that they are losing, what I thought to be, one of the top washers reputation.

Front load washer unit does not respond to control inputs. I have called Maytag service and support. One can find a repair or maintenance manual. Im in a smaller market so there is limited service. Maytag service and online support is terrible. Maytag stores are fronts for independent service companies. Its probably okay, but misleading. Everyone wants to order the main controller board. It would be good to have a maintenance manual.

We purchased a new Maytag dishwasher for $500 from Home Depot about 1 year ago... it stopped working 4 days ago. I did not get satisfaction from Maytag customer service as they tried to sell me a repair program whilst I was trying to determine if it was under warranty as it is a known problem. I now have a repair person coming out with a price of $189.95 + time. A complete joke of an organization. Lesson? Do NOT purchase any MAYTAG brand. They DO NOT stand by their product. My rating is ZERO STARS, the site forces me to enter a star which is ONE TOO MANY. I will NOT do business with Maytag, Whirpool or any of their brands again.

My refrigerator outer case has felt very warm to the touch at the section between the top freezer door and the lower refrigerator door for several years. I thought this was a normal function of the defrost mode. It is now very hot to the touch so that I cannot touch it for more than a few seconds. I dont know how long it has been like this. This cannot be normal. I did some online checks and found that there was a Consumer Product Safety Commission Recall release #09-145 and 09-322 that warns about the same problem I am having. My model # (MTB215) matches the recall, however, the last two characters in my serial # is WQ does not. This problem appears to be very consistent with the problem in the recall releases.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher July 2013, installed August 2013. Stopped working Oct 2, 2014. Called Maytag and they offered to let me buy a service pan for around $300. No thanks, stupid Im not. I also sent an email. Have not heard back but Im sure Im still out of luck. According to the California class action suit regarding the Maytag control panels, Maytag is saying there are no problems with them. Wish we all had some power to make them see otherwise. Will I ever buy a Maytag product again. No. They would be much better off keeping their customers happy rather than spending tons of money on ads trying to get new customers. Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, they will not get my money either.

This is a Bravos MTC machine. It is a top load and has an energy star rating. Made in the United States. Impressed by its low water usage and Its ability to clean clothes. This particular model comes with a 10 year limited parts warranty, drive motor and washbasket.

Maytag washer not draining properly. Called Aug 15 for help. First tech in on August 23, makes a diagnosis, orders part; no news, I call, am given Sep 15 as next date. Come 9/15, I take off from work, only to find out tech cannot come that day, to reschedule. Next tech comes 9/25 with a different diagnosis and different part to order. By October 3, an announcement that part came in, to make an appointment. By now, its been a month and a half, I am so angry. I call a friend, who fixes it in 15 minutes by simply clearing a clogged drain filter. This is unacceptable: the inordinate wait, incompetent techs, unresponsiveness from customer service. I cancelled my contract with Maytag Warranty/AIG.

This review is for a Maytag dishwasher. I do not know the Make/Model. It did a very poor job of washing the dishes. It may have been the city water, but no matter what I put into the machine to keep the dishes from being cloudy it never worked. It became disabled about a year after we moved in, and it was only about 6 years old. However, there were two families before me that used it and I have no idea how they used it. It was the first and last Maytag dishwasher I will ever use.

I bought my Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set about 3.5 years ago when I moved into my home. There was a 20-year old set here that did work, but I wanted something newer and more efficient, so I donated the old set and bought these. Performance of the washer has always seemed mediocre, clothes dont get as clean as I think they should, whites are dingy, despite using hard-water additives and the correct HE products.A few months ago, the washer started a new behavior: stopping during the initial fill cycle and displaying an F1 error. I soon figured out if I hit cancel then start again, it would resume filling and proceed with the cycle. Over time, I had to repeat it more and more. Its now up to ten F1 errors both at the beginning and end of the cycle. I dont have that kind of time to babysit my washer. I already have a full-time job.I have called Maytag/Whirlpool twice now, both times getting unsatisfactory answers. Even after escalating to the customer service supervisor, I was basically told that it is most likely the control board that is the problem and since Im no longer under warranty (that washer ‘is’ almost 4 years old, maam), Id either have to order the part myself from their supplier (total cost $250 + the risk of DIY), or buy their service package for about $350 which included fixing that problem plus one additional years warranty.I pointed out that for a major household appliance that I (over) paid for, I expect a life of more than 4 years, especially since I had a working 20-year old washer when I moved in here. Since when is this acceptable? I could understand if it were a wear-and-tear part, like a rubber seal or something that moved constantly and would eventually need replaced. But this is the electronics module, something that cant (or at least, shouldnt) be worn down or broken by use or even user error. This is an integral part of the machine, and if it has a fault (which it clearly does), the manufacturer needs to stand behind it and help the consumer.What angered me even further is that the customer service manager even admitted that models similar to mine had had similar problems, and a free control board was sent to those customers. But my model was not in that range of production, so clearly they have no fault, in their eyes. Apparently, its not even remotely possible that maybe when they determined the range of models they believed to be faulty, mine hadnt been in use long enough to display the same behavior? Maybe the range they selected is too restrictive and they missed some. From the volume of complaints Ive seen online, Id bet that to be the case.I asked to be transferred to their legal department, and was refused because we just dont transfer customers to the legal department. Well, I just dont buy Maytag or Whirlpool anymore, and Im going to do my best to make sure nobody else does either. Im replacing this ** with a different brand, one Ill be sure has tremendous reviews and a manufacturer that will stand behind it.

When I remolded my kitchen almost four years ago, I purchased four Maytag appliances. There was a recall on my dishwasher that was successfully fixed; the heating coil could have caused a fire. The next appliance to go was my refrigerator with a bottom freezer: the freezer section went. Thank goodness I purchased a policy which covered the repair that had to be done twice--twice I lost food. I was compensated by the insurance company for $200.00 for the cost of food lost. Just before Christmas my microwave stopped heating. The turntable works, the timer works, but it will not heat the food and makes a loud noise. The glass top on my stove is getting marred even though I clean it every time something spills. I keep my appliances in immaculate condition and they look like new. I thought when I purchased Maytag I was buying reliable appliances. Their ad that states that the Maytag repairman is lonesome because he has no work is a lot of bull. Each appliance has had problems. Where is consumer protection? Appliances should not breakdown after a couple of years. We should not have to buy insurance policies that are expensive to protect appliances that should last at least ten years without problems. Someone needs to step in and help the consumer. I didnt call Maytag regarding the microwave as I was told it was useless to call them and all I would get would be aggravation. Someone, please help the consumer!

Do not purchase this microwave! I checked the reviews and thought they couldnt all have the same problem. THEY DO! This Maytag Microwave MMV4205DS1 has some faulty switch in the door latch mechanism. The warranty repair company came and adjusted the switches... and then fully replaced the switches. Each time it worked for about 30-60 days and then the same error would repeat itself. Never resolved... buying a different microwave. Be sure to check all reviews for repetitive complaints.This microwave will NOT function AT ALL with the door open/close message. Here are the details of our microwave. Purchased from Home Depot December 2015. First experienced the open/close door message around June 2016 (6 months after purchase). With the open/close door message, the interior light will not come on, the keypad will accept entries but will give the open/close door message as soon as start is pressed. Repaired under warranty August 2016. Repairman tightened and replaced one of the two fuses behind the metal plate. Also moved the door connectors as far as they would go to help with the door sensor issue. Worked until mid-December. Same message reappeared. Called repair company. Still under warranty. He order new switch parts and installed in January 2017. Microwave worked for 2 months. Then same exact door/open close message. Called repair company. Since we do not have an extended warranty, the parts would be covered but not the labor. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MICROWAVE or any other microwave that has reviews listing a door open/close issue. It will not go away! ...and you will be very frustrated.

Bought a Maytag Bravos x MVWX700XX1 about 2 years ago and now the agitator barely moves and makes a very loud grinding noise. Never had a major appliance wear out so fast..is a piece of junk. Will never buy another Maytag product ever again. Their old ads about the Maytag guy being bored because he never needed to fix anything should be considered false advertising.

In October 2016 I purchased a New Maytag washer (Model# MVWC565FWO) from LOWES. I bought an extended 5 year warranty with it as well. I have my invalid, totally incapacitated Sister living with me. The situation requires several loads of washing each day due to her conditions. TWO WEEKS after starting to use it we began having issues with the washer. It would stop in the cycle, lights flashing, only way to restart is to unplug it, move control from wash cycles setting to drain and spin... then within the next 3-4 loads it would do it again. Sometimes it sat for awhile I would smell like an electronics Odor getting hot... I called Lowes. They replaced it. Approximately 3 weeks later the NEW washer began doing the SAME THING...Lowes would not replace it with a different Model or brand... only send a repairman out. Long story short, he has been here 4 times, replaced the Computer Control with NO IMPROVEMENT!!! NOW Lowes is sending him out again and saying that if this doesnt fix the problem they will refund my money... My problem with it all is this... IF MAYTAG is having these type issues, WHY PRAY TELL, has a recall or solution been found and passed on to the repair folks??? I bought this Maytag due to #1 Reputation, #2 It was Assembled in the USA, NOT South Korea like the Samsung with recalls... Now all this is going on. I WANT A WASHING MACHINE THAT WORKS RIGHT!!! This is totally unacceptable and totally uncalled for. WHY could these Govt agencies and Manufacturers not LEAVE the washers alone? Computer technology... PLTTT. The old timers controls gave no problem in over 40 years of using them. Now this crap.

We bought a new home with all new Maytag appliances. Our Maytag dishwasher has had 3 new handles, 1 inside tub and now needs a new touch panel. Our Maytag oven/stove has needed three ignitors and the oven door has never been right! The microwave is the only appliance that we have not had a service call. Appliances are expensive along with parts and labor for service calls. I will not be purchasing any more Maytag appliances. The standard comment by repairman: They dont make them like they used to. How sad is that!!

We bought a Maytag Bravos XL MCT Washer from Lowes in Oct of 2016. We had cycle issues with it in Sept of 2018 and called the Appliance Repair Service. IT was determined that the Electronic Control board and UIC was bad and needed to be replaced. Estimated cost - +$700.00. We bought Maytag because we thought it was dependable. Not so. Less than two years of use and repairs are more than we paid for machine ($639.00). Receipt would not upload.

We have been married 50 yrs. We have never had a Maytag, we bought one 4 days ago, Dec.13, 2017. This is the worst wash machine (Maytag Bravos XL MCT) we have ever had, the clothes come out wet with white soap marks on the dark clothes. Lowes said we can exchange it for another washer, it will not be a Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDBTT60AWW3. Shortly after manufacturer warranty ran out, the control panel went out. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. The repair company came out and put a new control panel in it. Two months later, the control panel goes out again. The warranty firm sends out a different repair company. They replace the control panel again. This time it doesnt work. They replace some of the buttons as according to the repair person they arent registering the correct OHM reading. It works again. Yay!. A week later, its not working again. The repair company is coming back. This is really starting to get old. Between the multiple times it has broken down, waiting for the repair company to come out, diagnose the problem and order parts, we have been without a dishwasher for approx. 2 months the multiple times it has broken down. Im so fed up with this thing. I also will never ever buy another Maytag again. They need to have a major recall on these because of the terrible, terrible control panel. This isnt just me, its a lot of people.

This is the most horrible washer ever. Within 3 months it would not go beyond sensing mode and never fill or wash. Tech came and fixed it... 3 times. It still happens and I have to jiggle it all around to activate it. Clothes are never clean, dog hair is never washed out... My broken old agitator machine was taken to the dump & I wish I had it back! How do the stores give this machine a good rating?? I cant do light quick washes, I have to wait forever... Our water bill is 2x higher than ever because if I dont fill the tub with deep water, the clothes dont even all get wet. Hate, hate, hate this thing.

I purchased this washer in April 2017 from H/D. The machine started making funny grinding noise over this weekend. Had a tech come to house to repair. Tech said the insides are stripped, 300 plus in parts to repair and would be weeks to get parts. I called Maytag and they offered to send their own tech to see which parts and if any of them would be under warranty at a price of 109. I explained that I had an expectation that a washer would last longer than 31 months and spending another 109 dollars would be bad money after good with the 80 dollars for my tech. Maytag said take it or leave it. I am going to Lowes for a GE machine. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WONT LAST. I will admit, Tina from Tennesse, the Maytag customer complaint person was nice and professional but not actually empowered to do anything to help. I will recommend to my 5 kids never buy Maytag.

I think so much about Maytag dishwasher with electronic controls that I decided to fix up my Maytag mdb3700awx by replacing the motor. It has an old fashion timer. It was trouble free for 10 years until the water supply line fail and sprayed water on the motor and shorted it out. I got a use motor and pump from eBay for 40 dollars. The dishwasher should last 20 more years. Too bad Maytag dont make them like they use to.

This machine may save water but I spend more time and money getting out the severe wrinkles it creates. I use my dryer and iron much more than with my previous washer. I never thought a new washer would make wash day more difficult.

Have not had either inspected, but last night the dryer started to rumble and then caught on fire... Fireman suspected bearing bad and caused a spark igniting dryer; washer has started making a shrill loud noise on the spin cycle.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer several years ago, and I have hated them ever since. The clothes smell and are wrinkled. The dryer never gets the clothes dry. It will run and run and run, and the clothes will still be wet. I previously owned a Maytag Washer/Dryer for nearly 20 years and never had a problem. This set is a piece of junk. When I go to Lowes or any store for that matter and see someone considering this product, I warn them as quickly as possible to stay away from this product. I will continue to do so. Shame on you, Maytag, for making such a horrible product and for being too weak to stand behind your product. I will never buy Maytag again and will do my best to make sure none else does either.

Purchased 4 Maytag kitchen appliances - stove, double oven, fridge, dishwasher - was told that they were all made in the USA. WRONG. The microwave comes from China - not sure why Maytag is not being honest. Not happy with my purchases - even though we spent $4000 to buy American. Warranty service is awful - even extended warranty is a joke. Would never purchase Maytag again.

This washer has been the biggest disappointment of any appliance I have ever bought. Purchased 12/2012 and immediately disliked it but thought I needed to get used to the new style since my previous machine operated for 23 yrs! It is loud and does not clean as effectively as my last machine. It stays in the Sensing mode for 15 mins or longer. Rarely will it spin as it should. Most loads, after the sensing stops and the lights go out, I have to move the dial to Drain/Spin, wait for it to sense again and then maybe it will spin. If this doesnt work I have to unplug the machine to allow it to reset. I called Maytag and was told there are no known issues with the machine. Purchased washing machine, with insurance that was offered to me 9/17/10. May 2013, control panel went. June 2013, dial switch went. July 2014 washer motor drive & belt drive had to be replaced. August 2015 is broke again. Will never buy Maytag again.

We purchased a Maytag double oven in November 18, 2008. I was baking and the top oven wasnt working. We called Maytag service number on the book we received when we purchased the oven. It took 25 minutes for someone to answer our call. The person did not know what our problem was. We thought it could be the ignitor. He transferred us to a parts person. That person didnt know the answer and hung up on my husband. How rude of him. We will never purchase another Maytag product. We will let our family and friends also know. You need to inform your personnel to know their products.

I wrecked on a bike, had surgery and in a wheelchair. I bought and had a Maytag dishwasher delivered from Beaumont Home Depot and this mdb7749sbw2 model never never worked. Home Depot told me I had to bring it back myself (Im in a wheelchair at the months that was impossible) and I called Maytag warranty. They sent a tech. He replaced a front power panel that didnt work. They sent out two more techs and they said use other soap Lemi Shine and the other guy said use Finish and turn your hot water heater all the way up. That never worked either. I have had this a yr and it just sit there and money in the trash. It makes me sick.

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

A lot of repairs in 6 years from belts. It leaks water around seal on door. Only part of the cycles work. I would not recommend the Maytag washer to anyone. When I got it I expected or hoped it would last 10 years or more.

How is this fair that only a couple of washers recalled...I knew of no recalls either...My old Kenmore top loader outdated by far. Guess I should have kept it.

I purchased my first and last Maytag double door bottom freezer in Aug 2018. The ice maker shoots ice out all over the floor, only half make it into the glass. It also sounds as though ice is falling down inside door. I had the ice maker replaced twice, the gasket as well, the back removed to check for water line blockage NO avail. Before the first ice maker replacement it sounded like a freight train. I questioned whether I had received a store second from Home Depot or a return as the stickers inside had been removed but HD couldn’t assist and Maytag didn’t care. Definitely NOT worth the 2000 I paid.

Before today I was happy with my washer. Well yesterday I heard this loud noise. It turns out to be the gear case on my washer. To my surprise the repairman told me that it would cost between $450 and $500 to replace. I called Maytag to check on the 10 years warranty and was told that it would cover the basket and the motor but not the gear case. That is very stupid because without the gear case the washer will not work. This gear case help the sensor work, the basket work. DO NOT BUY ANY A MAYTAG PRODUCT. They do not stand by their product. I have had my washer for 2 years and 10 months. Before this the last washer I purchase was a Lady Kenmore through Sears. I had that washer and dryer for 25 years.

I tried emailing Maytag but from what I read on consumer reports I doubt Ill get an email back. After our 20 plus year old Kenmore fridge was taken by hurricane Sandy I decided to try Maytag. What junk! We have a bottom freezer and were getting water build up on the bottom under the basket. In order to keep the water from leaking on floor I had to chop the ice out of the bottom every 2 days. My husband got frustrated and took the whole freezer apart only to find all the coils were covered in ice. Soon after that the ice maker stopped working. Tried different things to get it working. We finally took it apart and found the factory did not screw in all the screws on the inside so they fell out on the circuit board and shorted the thing out. Lucky it didnt burn the house down. All I can say is junk! Do not buy!

Centennial HE top loading washer - When I put the HE Tide powder in the washer, it does not always rinse well. I have to rewash often. I use very little soap.

Bought it in 2013. Just replaced freezer motor. I thought for sure it would give me better service.

Everything in my house is Maytag. I assumed they were the best. My dishwasher went out after three years, and I replaced it with a Maytag. Now, my over the range microwave is not working. I will not replace it with Maytag. I expect my washer and dryer to be next.

I purchased an expensive front-load washer and dryer a few years ago. About a year after I purchased the washer, there was a foul smell that developed. I contacted Maytag and they informed me of the directions to follow - keep the washer door open when not in use and use Affresh tablets periodically. I followed these directions and was unable to prevent the washer from developing mold in the washer. Id like to file a formal complaint on my washer and dryer. I want a refund on it. I paid way too much money on these units to suffer. I had a tub failure on my washer Whirlpool Duet, which I bought brand new and it lasted 12 years with no problems. The dryer is still in use at my sons house. However, this failure lead me on a search for a set to replace the duet. I did some research and found the Maytag 6.2 Cu. Ft top loader and huge Dryer to match. The set was not cheap and it did have high marks for a great washer. So, I bought them both and had them delivered on 12/30/16. I have read all the owners manual and watched YouTube videos to see how to use this machine with all its pretty lights and sounds. I will concede that the machines look great, very impressive in my laundry room. I would bet it would even be a plus when I go to sell the house.THAT is all the nice stuff I can say. The machine does not clean clothes and I have done all the settings. I have changed laundry detergents, and even tried to add a little more water with a bucket at the start of the wash. (Saw that one on YouTube.) REALLY. That did not work, nor should I have to do that to get it to clean well. The answer seems to be, set the machine on FULL tub of water. So, I tried that for a couple of times and found that the clothes just float around and since they do not touch the Wear Plate they dont get clean. My wife (yes, I am a man that does most of the laundry) said she hates the washer and I was an idiot for buying this expensive piece of metal that does nothing but take up space and leaves spots on your clothes. Have you heard the term Happy Wife-Happy Life. Well not so much for me now.Spending money even $2,500.00 on a washer and dryer seems a little crazy. But I had the extra money and I have always wanted a MAYTAG. These guys know how to make a washer. Boy was I wrong, this machine must be an embarrassment to Maytag. I know I am really shocked that you would sell this machine as top of the line. I am not sure what Maytag will do, but I thought I would give you a chance to make this right. I have attached pictures of the machines installed and pictures of the model number plates. I have faith that Maytag will step up. My wife said this was a waste of time. My stove has been reliable and efficient. I bought it about 11 years ago and it looks nearly new. I have a gas range with 2 ovens. The top looks scratched a bit from just cleaning. The only negative is the top which has some scratches if you look closely and when I first got it, I had to have an oven gasket replace. Still I feel it was a good purchase.

We bought this washer in February of 2010. We had the pump replaced under warranty in January of 2011, and the pump appeared to have a hole in it from some type of hard object that had gotten inside the pump and damaged it. We then replaced the L-shaped hose between the tank and the pump because it had a small hole in it - very thin rubber. Last week, the washer was leaking again and the service technician said that the pump housing was cracked due to a penny rattling around inside the pump.This washer performs very well when it is working but it seems to be too fragile to handle on normal usage. The Whirlpool washer we replaced with this one ran for 23 years with no problems before it finally went out. From all appearances, it seems that every failure we have had with this washer has been due to damage from foreign objects getting trapped in the pump. Is there no screening mechanism to prevent hard objects from entering the pump? This seems to be a design flaw more than anything.

I can honestly say that my Maytag refrigerator is indeed the worse appliance that I have ever purchased. This is how it rolled... I bought a new Maytag stove, frig, microwave, and dishwasher in June of 2006. Here is what I am now dealing with... the frig went on the fritz 2 years ago (warranty expired). The problem being the freezer would not automatically defrost. Because of this the coils would ice up and this prevented the cold air from moving from the freezer into the frig part. Things remained frozen in the freezer, but everything became warm on the other side, the frig side. I had it repaired about a year and a half ago to the tune of $165. Then about 6 months ago the problem reoccurred, but instead of paying for another repair I figured out that if I used my blow dryer I could defrost the ice from the coils on my own.Unfortunately, the problem reoccurs more frequently now and I have to manually defrost the coils almost every week. This past weekend things finally came to an end as no matter how many times I manually defrosted the coils, it would be fully iced up again with an hour or so. Also, all the time it is acting up it just sucks up electricity, and I have notice a spike upwards on my energy bill. It must be related to the frig. So, I bit the bullet and bought a used frig on craigslist just to hold me over until I have time to do research on what appliance brand is indeed reliable. I should of done this before I bought my Maytag appliances from Home Depot. As far as my other Maytag appliances, here is their current condition. Microwave about the stove: the handle broke off a little less than 2 years after purchase. Stove: now has rust on the front of stove, at the bottom of the stove which is a pull out drawer.Dishwasher: not working at all. The start button doesnt work. Normally, you just push the button and a green light comes on and it begins the first cycle. This is no longer happening and no green light comes on. Refrigerator: Took it to the dumps this morning to be recycled. Cant believe it, all of these appliances are nothing but crap and I will never purchase another Maytag. I have shared my experiences with all my family and friends and have encouraged them to avoid Maytag, as it is not even close to being the product it used to be. Another piece of junk coming from somewhere other than here in the USA. We lose jobs here in the US, and then end up buying the goods from another country that makes inferior products. How stupid can we get!

I purchased a Maytag dryer (MDE2400AZW) 2 years ago, but have only been using it for the last year - and fairly infrequently, as this is a dryer that my guests use. I called Home Depot where I bought the dryer (along with the washer). I thought I had purchased an extra warranty, but turns out I only had it on the washer - what was I thinking. I wish I had read these reviews before I made my purchase. My local repair man charged me $192.00 for a new heater and his time. Theres a whole 90-day warranty on the new heater!! I sure hope this one lasts more than a year otherwise Ill be buying a new dryer and it wont be Maytag.

We bought a washer & dryer from Home Depot 2 1/2 years ago. The control board went out on my washer. I called Maytag and they wanted $109 for a diagnostic fee and wouldnt tell me how much the labor would be. A control board costs $350. So by the time all is said and done... the money would be better spent buying a new one. Maytags slogan of dependability lasts is a bunch of hooey. Washers should last more than 2 1/2 years and Maytag should back up their appliances. They just lost a customer.

My husband and I purchase both Maytag Washer and Dryer 7 month ago 2017, because we have purchase Maytag washer before and were very happy with it. But this new Washer does not clean clothes at all, it is worthless. We will not purchase another Maytag Washer again.

Bought Maytag dishwasher model number MDB894995BB3 serial # F41103073. About 2 months out of warranty the control panel went bad. Contacted Maytag. After quite some time they agreed to pay for parts. After some more conversation they also agreed to pay service and labor. This was on the first day of August and Maytag scheduled a repairman for the sixth of August. When he arrived spent five minutes and said he had to order parts. The control panel I had already told them was bad. Now here I sit waiting for part to arrive. No more Maytag or Whirlpool for me.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT60AWB purchased from Lowes about 8 or 9 years ago. This model was included in the huge 2010 recall of 1.7 million units due to the possibility of heater-unit fires. For the last couple of years, its had a problem staying on the selected cycle: After being started on normal wash, it reverted to rinse only after a few seconds, but eventually quit responded to the selection of other cycles altogether. Removing the back from the door to expose the innards revealed the ribbon cable that connects the circuit-board head to the control panel had worked loose. Reattaching it provides a temporary fix, but it eventually works loose again. We suppose the screw holding the back to the door will strip sooner or later, but by then well probably be so fed-up with fixing it that buying a new (non-Maytag) one wont seem like a bad option.

We were very impressed with this dishwasher when we bought it about 2 years ago. It looked very nice, it was the quietest running dishwasher weve seen, dishes came out sparkling. However, the nightmare quickly began. It started with having to cancel then resume. It ran for 8 hours non-stop (still cycling the next morning). We unplugged it and we were able to use it normally for a few times. Weve had so much aggravation with this machine weve decided to (A) Never to buy another digital dishwasher, (B) Join the class action suit proposed against Maytag. We have tried all the reset solutions offered and Weve been hand washing dishes (again) for days.

I installed a new Maytag Wall Oven Microwave Combo 18 months ago. I had not used the microwave in over a week. Last night, we heard a loud pop and realized the beauty glass front on the microwave had shattered. No one had closed the door too hard, in fact, we had not used it. I see where others have had this problem.

We owned Whirlpool front load prior to the Maytag set we now own. Our Whirlpool was the better one. Shorter wash cycle, better cleaning & never had a problem with the seal. Maytag dryer doesnt signal properly when laundry is dry. You have to go multiple times. I wont purchase another Maytag set. We owned a Maytag top loader set and they worked like they should have.

Maytag Neptune Stacked Electric Washer & Dryer. Had to buy a motor for Washer but lasted 12 years before giving problems again; then couldnt find anyone that would service for cheaper than $100 for just coming to your house plus $75 an hour for labor. Thats HIGHER than my billable rate! Rip-off Service & parts charges. Found out it was easier & cheaper to troubleshoot ONLINE myself using FIXYA site and others. Expense for an appliance above what most run ~ 1500 for both units. Plus if it doesnt have or offer a 5-year warranty then something is wrong with the quality! Maytag Neptune Series MLE2000AYW 27 Inch Electric Laundry Center with 3.34 Cu. Ft. Washer Capacity, 4 Wash Cycles and 6.0 Cu. Ft. Dryer Capacity, 3 Dry Cycles: White. Worst part on this model was a WAX MOTOR that they used for the Washer to control the door being closed or open. Next worst DESIGN error was they didnt put a drain hole in the plastic rim seal for the Washer door, that area would build up mold & mildew if you didnt learn to keep Washer door open at all times AFTER a wash. We learned by removing the light bulb! Therefore it was easy for my crew to learn to leave the door open after washing. This model was Energy star certified and had a long life here 12 years. Unfortunately I think they build these things to only last 10 years; then you have to replace them. In years gone by... the 1970s Washing machines and dryers would last 20 years!!

The control panel died on this dishwasher (MDB7749) after only 2.5 years of light use. I was quoted about $250.00 plus labor to have the panel replaced. I will not fork over several hundred dollars for a defective panel, especially since many others have complained about repeated failures and known issues with the control panel. No more Maytag products for me. I plan to purchase a Bosch to replace it.

The refrigerator had to have repairs in first year. Maytag was aware of freezer issues and reluctantly finally replaced the parts. I had to argue with repairman because he tried to tell me that the freezer was too full.

The Maytag Washer Model # MVWB835DW is the worst I have EVER had!! I have 6 kids, my husband and myself who I do laundry for and this was supposed to be a XL washer so I can do large loads! It does not do anything to stains and all my clothes come out with clumps of powder and if I use liquid it leaves greasy residue on them! Everyone in our home has had rashes from the washing powder not getting rinsed out and my husband who gets grease and oil on his clothes has all stained clothing because of this washer that does NOT clean anything! I used to be able to get every single grease and oil stain out until I purchased this washer! My 9 yr old now has a scalded skin from the washing powder not getting rinsed no matter how much I use!! I even tried using vinegar to make it dissolve and it does not help! No matter what we do it does not fill up nor wash the clothing properly!! This washer needs to be discontinued immediately and anyone who has it have the option of exchanging it with a better washer! It is absolutely ridiculous that they know this washer does this yet keep selling it!

I purchased a Maytag self-cleaning stove in early 2009. Right away, the oven floor finish started to bubble up. I called Maytag service and was told the part wasnt covered. I let it go since it wasnt interfering with the function of the oven. However, in Feb 2012, the oven started turning off in temps above 350. I called Maytag service again and was told that since I didnt purchase an extended warranty, I would have to pay for the service call, parts and labor. I complained that I never expected their product to break down in less than three years.I had a private oven service look at it and was told the computer part was the problem and would cost almost $300 to replace; or I could just live with an oven that didnt go above 350 and buy a new one when it broke completely. You can be sure I will never, never purchase another Maytag product or any other product they involved with like Whirlpool. I am done with them and their inferior workmanship.

Called about our upteenth issue with our Maytag microwave. Was told the part was covered but we would have to pay for service. The last tech told us how to wiggle the part to make it work. Paid a fortune and it broke again. They do not care about customers!!

I also have water building up on bottom of freezer drawer. It turns into ice and if I dont clean it out in time, it leaks onto my hardwood. I am very disappointed that Maytag has not reached out to its customers to resolve. My fridge is only a few years old and its frustrating taking the ice out of the bottom. I dont have the funds to have it fixed. I thought I was buying a reputable Maytag fridge! IF there is any class action suit please let me know.

Great appearance, great job on getting our clothes clean and dry. Good dryer cycle choices and output. Good washer cycle choices and output 98% of the time, BUT, sometimes the washer needs a do over about once in 50 loads. Overall, two thumbs UP.

We purchased this washer (MHW05500FWD) and dryer set in 09/26/2016 and have had nothing but issues. I have had the repairmen out twice. The first time the washer wasnt rinsing out clothes, when the repairman came out he couldnt find anything. In June of 2017 the same thing happen. Once again the repairman came out. I found out that there was a recall on the part which was on Backordered. Now the matching dryer model MED5500FWD is not drying. This is the worst washer and dryer I have ever own. I will NEVER own another front loader again. Buyer Beware!!!

The dishwasher (model number MDB7100AWW, serial number 158462977YH) that was replaced due to recall for fear of fire hazard has only lasted two years. Is there any recall on the recall? Our dishwasher was purchased in 2001. We live approximately 30 miles from the former location of Maytag manufacture, Newton, IA. In our 39 years of marriage, we have always had Maytag appliances: washer, dryer, fridge, and dishwasher with long lasting results. Our previous dishwasher lasted 23 years. It is very disappointing to feel the need to replace a Maytag appliance, which weve always felt was industry standard after such a relatively short life! It no longer fills correctly, and trouble has been diagnosed by service tech as bad control board. It seems theres a possibility of fire hazard once again. Can you offer any help short of replacing appliance as cost of repairs does not seem effective? Thank you in advance for your attention.

I purchased my Bravos washer in 2011. Three days before the warranty was up, the motor went out. It was leaking oil and had to be replaced. Two days later it quit working again I had to have another repairman out and found that the gear shifter had popped off so he put it back on and charged us 85.00. Luckily my husband watched him repair it and knew what to do if it happened again, which it does just about every 2 or 3 loads so I have to pull it out and pop the ring back on. I waste more water than I save with this machine. I have to drain the water so I can move the machine out and start all over because they didnt wash, and that wastes more soap. I would get laundry done cleaner and faster if I beat it against a rock. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned and I will never buy a high efficiency washer or another Maytag again.

I purchased a new Maytag refrigerator on September 21, 2007. The refrigerator compressor went out on July 19, 2011, three years and ten months. The repairman said that the compressor developed a pin hole leak and all the freon leaked out. The repair cost appear to be around $300 when completed, hopefully. What a crappy refrigerator. It seems that this is a regular problem with all types of Maytag appliances. Maytag is no longer a premium appliance. Stay clear from purchasing one!

I purchased a complete Maytag set for my kitchen (fridge, double oven, microwave, dishwasher) from Home Depot on November 22nd 2012. About two months ago I noticed the dishwasher started to glitch here and there, but was still functional. I removed the panel and found that the wiring was completely corroded and would need to be replaced. I put everything back together and have managed to make it almost a month on the same cable. In the mean time, I searched for my receipts, my manuals, and anything else to show my purchase given the 10 YEAR WARRANTY Maytag wants to mention as a sale point. Aside from Home Depot not being able to find my order information to duplicate the receipt, I managed to find where I had ordered my set online and was emailed a copy. Home depot is not involved with the warranty process, unless you purchase the additional warranty. They deferred me to Maytag. I contacted Maytag and was informed that the warranty only covers the stainless internal tub, the racks, and the chopper. Seriously?? So, absolutely NOTHING mechanical about the product past one year.After paying the $699 for the washer, and another 57.99 for installation and kit, I was told by Maytag that I could buy another 1 year warranty that would cover the part, but it would cost me $289, or roughly half the price I paid to get a whole two years out of the dishwasher in the first place. This means I might as well be paying almost $300 a year just to have this product... ridiculous!! Just to buy the part and do the work myself, the part is $172 plus tax/shipping. Since it is only 4 screws and a couple clips holding this thing on, I am likely going to go that route.I have read many people saying similar things about the electronic wire corroding and this appears to be a well known issue with their products. They recommend sealing the entire area using a tube of silicone to help reduce the amount of time it takes to ruin another cable. Very very very poor craftsmanship. Nice racket they have through charging people so much every couple of years for their products!! As my $4000 kitchen appliance set falls apart, I doubt I will ever replace it with another Maytag item.

MAYTAG BRAVO QUIET SERIES 400 - Do not buy. Piece of junk. I have bought Maytags for years, but they really messed up on these. First I had a new dress in the washer... It ripped it all the way down the back. Last month my dryer went out. It was the heating element. When the Maytag opened up the dryer, all the lint had been going into the dryer casing instead out to the vent. The whole inside of the dryer was packed with lint... It was around the motor and was a major fire hazard. The Maytag man said it was the worst he had seen in his 30 years. This month my washer starts making real loud noises when it spins. Sometimes I have to run it through another spin. Then it just quit. It wont do anything at all. You hear the motor like it is hung... It just hums. You have to unplug it to get it to stop. Maytag repairman said it was the bearings ($300.00 at least) and the computer board had gone out. The repairman said it would cost more than to just go buy a new one. The Maytag repairman himself told me whatever you do, do not buy another Maytag... Now that is sad!!! I grew up with Maytag. My mothers washers lasted at least fifteen years. This is my fourth and last set of Maytags after these!!!

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (model number mdb6759aws3) about 3 years ago. After about 1 year, the control panel started to go. Certain options would not light up. If I used the options that did light and shut the door, the dishwasher would work. I had called Maytag, and they were charging almost $200.00 to come out to repair. Now after 3 years, the entire panel is out. We had someone come out. We ordered a new touch pad for $265, and it still did not work. It is the control panel that is dead. What bothers me is that after reading online, this seems to be a continual problem, and Maytag does nothing to help the consumer.

We had this washer 16 months. We bought it new from Home Depot. The clothes came out with spots on them, white residue and grease spots. This was ongoing for awhile. The bearings went out after 6 months. It was so loud now the water pump went out. I was told by Whirlpool (they bought out Maytag) that water pump is on back order and could take a couple of months!! To fix the bearings and the water pump was almost 700.00. A new washer is 1000.00. We junked it and had to buy a new washer GE. We are sick about this waste of money!!! What a piece of JUNK this Maytag Bravos XL is!! We need to have a class action suit and try to get something back. This is ridiculous and they arent taking responsibility. Whirlpool/Maytag are rip offs!!!!

Maytag, you are still trading on your good name but that will not last! I owned a Maytag, agitator style, for 20 years and it was still running just fine when we built a new house. I thought it would be wise to buy new appliances for my new laundry room so I chose the beautiful and expensive Maytag Bravos XL. I regret that decision. The washer lasted 4 years and began to have problems draining last week. The liquid that stayed in the washtub until the repairman could get here was so foul smelling! He came back today to replace the drain pump and now the washer is showing that the interface and CCU are not communicating. So now we are ordering another CCU and I hope this fixes the problem. I agree with all of you who say you will NEVER buy another Maytag again. Maytag, are you listening?

I bought this Maytag oven (MEW 7627HB) to replace a 20-year-old GE double oven. Upon the first use, I found that it has noisy cooling fans which run continuously as soon as it is turned on and, for some time, after it is turned off. These fans make an irritating, loud, whistling noise. The dealer responded to my complaint, pulled the oven out and performed a complete system test. He then called engineers at the Whirlpool factory, who told him that the fans were a recent redesign made because the previous design didnt satisfactorily cool the electronic control circuit and that there was nothing to be done about the noise. After several weeks, the oven, when in use, continues to stink of overheated electronics. I fear it wont last long.Note that my old GE model, which also had electronic controls, didnt run a fan at all unless both ovens had been on for some time or the self-cleaning feature had been on for a while. And it didnt make a loud noise.

I purchased our Maytag dishwasher last November. Last week, the control panel went out. I called customer service and they were actually polite and helpful, except for the fact that I had to wait an entire week to have a technician come to my house. Being that I live in the Balt/DC Metro area, I would have thought they would have enough people in the area to come over faster. Anyhow, we finally had the technician come today and tell us that the control panel needs replaced and that he highly recommends an extended warranty, which costs $200 for 5 years. He let my husband know that the repair itself would cost $500 if not covered by warranty!!! What a ripoff! I purchased this dishwasher because I grew up believing in the Maytag brand. Sounds like this is an extremely common issue and if Maytag wants to make things right, they should discontinue sale of their crap product and provide those of us who are stuck with it, a complimentary 5 year warranty. I shouldnt have to pay $200 in extended warranty to make up for the fact that my control panel is likely to go out again in another year, when Ill be forced to buy a new dishwasher.

Maytag Bravos Series 300 - I bought this machine less than a year ago. There is an awful smell coming from the machine that I never smelled from any other washer I have owned. The clothes do not look, feel or smell clean, and my towels are ripped. It is an extra large washer, yet when blankets are put in the machine bounces and shifts. After reading all the reviews, it seems I am not alone in my concern with a machine that was not only expensive, but was told it is a great product. Maytag needs to do the right thing and recall this machine.

I bought a new Maytag dishwasher 9 months ago from Costco - Maytag 24 in. Built-in Dishwasher with PowerBlast Cycle, White. This dishwasher needs a new motor - Please do not buy this dishwasher. It is garbage.

This set of Maytag washer/dryer are nearly nineteen years old now and are still workhorses! They keep getting the job done time and time again! Absolutely no complaints. Absolutely and completely amazing!

The engineering of all these new machines are totally useless. Bring back the old tech. They DRY wash, NO WATER, they take forever to finish, wasting energy, clothing not cleaned. They are very noisy, doing nothing. Time to recall all of these units. They are totally useless.

We bought this washing machine 2 years ago and I was never really satisfied with how it cleaned the clothes. Darker pants would come out with white soap/water lines on them. The worst part, 2 years in, the washer basket seal failed and the bearings rusted. The washer sounds like a tornado every time it runs. I got a quote for $350 to repair it!

We have had our side by side Kenmore for years and it hasnt let us down! We eat mostly fresh food since we cook a lot and we always have plenty of space for our food. We are only a family of 2 though. They say the ice maker is the first to fail and it has not given us any issues for nearly 10 years now! Love Kenmore!

I purchased the Maytag MDB8959SBS dishwasher back in 2014. I have historically been a Bosch guy when it comes to dishwashers but I have been so happy with my Maytag Maxima washer and dryer, I wanted to give their dishwasher a chance. Well, it has been a major disappointment, to say the least. For starters, it just doesnt clean that well. I am very careful in how I load a dishwasher. I do not put baking sheets across the bottom rack lol. Consistently we find dirty dishes. Then after about a 6 months, I noticed the paint on the adjacent cabinets were peeling in spots (near the top and bottom corners). I started feeling around the outside of the door during the wash cycle and there was a fair amount of moisture collecting around the outside of the dishwasher seal (or non-seal). Fast forward to about a month ago, I noticed a burning smell in the kitchen while it was running. Did the typical check the heating element routine thinking something fell down and was burning. However, it was perfectly clean. Emptied it completely and ran a totally empty load. The smell was still there. I eventually figured out the smell was emanating from the upper right corner of the door. Coincidentally this was right above the location of the control board. I grabbed a tool and carefully removed the front panel and discovered wires were melted (some fused together) and even the inside of the panel (which is plastic) was melted in spots as well.So yes, I could have contacted Maytag and sent pictures and fought with them over a repair but to be honest, I have no interest in keeping this appliance. It has been trouble since day one. Again, to be fair, I have had good luck with their other appliances but this was an awful experience and a total waste of money. I have since gone back to Bosch and could not be happier.

Well bought this washer a little over 1.5 years ago in 2017. The display started going haywire, flashing, going on and off and would only go to the normal setting, most of the time. Called Maytag and had service come out and Maytag would cover parts and labor. Turned out the control panel went bad. About a week later found out today part was still back ordered and not available with no ETA. So was told Maytag would replace the unit. So until I find out whether or not they will actually replace it, Im giving one star. Been holding for customer service for over 35 minutes now to verify what I was told. Its a shame because this washer was given a good review. It is a front loader.

My Maytag dishwasher is a nightmare. I purchased it in February 2013, started having problems with it turning off a week ago. I called Maytag customer service on Wednesday and was told I had a service call scheduled for Friday. I took the day off of work to be available for the repair service. I was given a phone number for the repair service. By noon I was wondering when I would receive a phone call to let me know when the technician would arrive? Then I was told that my appointment was scheduled for next Tuesday... ARE YOU KIDDING???? THAT WOMEN FROM MAYTAG CUSTOMER SERVICE LIED TO ME ABOUT THE DATE OF SERVICE!!!! I spoke with Scott, customer service representative (manager) and he told me that I was sent an email with confirmation. ANOTHER LIE!!!! I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY EMAIL FROM MAYTAG. I would never buy another Maytag appliance.... They DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE... SUB PAR TO SAY THE LEAST!!! Very dissatisfied customer - wasted my time and are not willing to make it right.

The Maytag Bravo Washing Machine was sold as the top of the line. In reality it is very difficult to work with for three specific reasons. First, the spin speed is too high causing the clothes to be wound into tight balls causing pilling and the need to iron everything from t-shirts to workout pants. Second, the spin speed is so high that you can only put a few towels in the washer at a time or the machine goes off kilter several times a cycle. Finally, if you lower the spin speed the items take forever to dry. I used this for less than 30 days and tried to return it but Maytag would not take it back. The only cycle type I can use is the rapid wash unless I want to spend all day washing and drying one load. I hate this washer more than I can describe and will NEVER purchase another Maytag product. It absolutely ruins your clothes and Maytag takes no responsibility for making a very bad product.

Maytag needs to step up and admit that they have a design flaw in this dishwasher. The problem is that just a week or two after the warranty is out, it just stops working. Sometimes when you walk by it, it just turns on. No way to turn it off. Nothing works on the control panel. From what Ive seen on the internet, everybody is having the same problem. Its the control panel. It costs 180 dollars to fix, but it only lasts another year and you have the same problem. Ill have to say that when it works, it does a superb job. It just wont keep working.

Oven is not even 2 yrs old but, the bottom oven floor lining is crackled & flaking. Although they say the cavity is covered under the 10 yr warranty, they say its not covered. Basically told me theres nothing they can do for it. I bought all Maytag appliances for my new home because they claim they stand behind their product. The 10 yr plaques on the appliances are a joke. So disappoint.

Hello, I bought a Maytag washer on 7/4/11 model #mvwc300xw0 serial # c12622108.I called Maytag about the machine not washing right, also the machine top and lid is turn from white to yellow. They had a service company come out they told me they should be replaced. I called Maytag and they told me the machine is only covered the first 30 day. This machine was made wrong. It started to turn color after a few months. Maytag told me they will not change machine because I Did let them know about the problem in 30 days. What can I do? Thank you.

I have a Maytag purchased about a year ago. My old Maytag lasted 16 years. The salesman told us that they are now built to last 8 years. It’s pretty noisy, so much so that I have to close the door to the utility room. I guess it gets the clothes clean but it used very little water. Fortunately my model has an agitator but nothing like the old kind. After looking at many models, I feel this was the best choice for the value. It is top loading which I like.

This is a dishwasher purchased at Home Depot on March 25, 2012 for a rental unit... call from tenant said the dishwasher did not work. Repair person from Appliance Hospital went out today and said the control panel is out and the touch pad. Cost is over $500 to replace. I will have to replace this dishwasher BUT NOT WITH ANOTHER MAYTAG.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot August 2018 and it has leaked soapy water every 3 out of 5 times that I run it. Home Depot said they dont cover installs after 2 weeks and to directly contact the manufacturer for service. Maytag sent out a tech 3 times but they werent able to replicate the problem, so nothing has been done to fix the dishwasher even though Ive shown the tech different photos of the dishwasher leaking. The service tech said they will now charge me $90 to return, even though the dishwasher is still under warranty and not repaired! Ive owned many different dishwashers (rentals and houses) without any problems. This is the first Maytag brand and it is horrible. I will never buy another Maytag and have warned all of my friends and family.

I have had 2 Geminis. The first one was fine, this second one is a mess. I have had at least half a dozen parts replaced. I have insurance to have this oven repaired but have paid to have the window seal replaced on at least 3 occasions. The top of the oven is so hot that when I have used the burners to cook on top I have received 2nd degree burns. I have received burns on several occasions. I asked dealer if I could trade this in but said I would have to sell it on my own. I would not subject this oven to another person as I feel it is very dangerous.

Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB6759AWS3 Does Not Start - If you are having the following problem, here is what I did to fix it. All of the lights on the touch pad would light-up when pressed but the dishwasher would not start. It appears to be a corrosion problem on the connector from the touch pad to the control panel. 1. Turn off power to the dishwasher. 2. Remove the inside cover to the dishwasher door - approximately 10 screws. 3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel still attached to the door. These are snap connectors. Always a good idea to label the connections before disconnecting in order to make sure everything goes back together properly. 4. Remove the black cover on the control panel. There are 3 screws. 5. Find the green conductor tape that connects the touch pad to the control panel. 6. You will remove the green conductor tape from the control panel. DONT just pull on it. There is a white piece of plastic that slides away from the control panel and toward the green conductor tape. It will remove pressure from the conductor tape and the conductor tape can then be disconnected from the control panel. 7. Get a good pencil eraser and clean off the exposed copper connectors in the conductor tape. 8. Place the conductor tape back into the control panel and slide the white plastic piece over it to reconnect the conductor tape to the control panel. 9. Replace cover on the control panel. 10. Reconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel. 11. Place inside cover of the dishwasher over the proper screw holes - make sure the bottom of the inside cover is overlapping the bottom of the door - or the door wont shut properly. 12. Replace screws.13. Turn on power and check.It worked for me and saved me time waiting for a repairman and expense of the repair.

OK, Im at wits end. I bought a very expensive Maytag Gemini range four years ago. Since then, I have replaced 10 burner valves. There are only five of them. They have each been replaced twice, and tonight yet another has broken. This time it is broken in the ON position, which means I cant have the range on without that burner on. It means unplugging it when not in use and lighting the burner with a match when I re-plug the stove, until I get it fixed. I had just replaced valve number 10 on Tuesday, and had a fully working range for only 5 days. These valves are under warranty but the labor is not, and it is always close to $200 to have someone come out to replace them. I cant afford a new stove and I cant afford to keep having these defective valves replace.

I am also frustrated with Maytag for the same exact problem... The control panel and the dishwasher not working just after our year warranty went out. I purchased this product because we had a good experience with a Maytag Dishwasher lasting about 20 years, only to get fooled that the quality is not there any longer. This seems like BAD business on Maytag, Whirlpool, and Home Depot! How can we get an official complaint to someone who can fix this? Another example of big businesses that do not care to take care of customers! Why would a company like Home Depot continue to support this business!!
